getting emotional over footage of an amateur scuba diver interacting with a coelacanth. they are hunted by large deepwater predators, and here comes a large creature bearing the brightest lights it's ever seen, making strange noises, but it does not shy away. it hovers, calmly, as the diver reaches out and trails a hand down its back. im strongly against the anthropomorphizing of real life animals but the stupid emotional part of me loudly insists this is because it recognizes us, the alternating movements of its four paired limbs matching the diver's four paired limbs, & it is thinking, "hello, cousins, we missed you these 66 million years, it's so good to see you again. welcome back, welcome home."

I like the idea that hyrule+lorule have different cultures and sometimes there’s a lil cultural shock between the hyrule duo and the lorule duo

anyway, lorule’s way of greeting people is via hand kissing, which clashes with hyrule’s more hands off way of greeting

the fact that irving canonically survives through the end of asunder to be at wynne's funeral is so fucking funny to me. nothing but love and respect for MY unstoppable cockroach morally grey machiavellian mage dad!!! he's survived in his position through multiple attempted rites of annulment and blood mage plots popping up left right and center around him. the chantry keeps trying to stamp him out but his dodge game is simply out of this world, divine. civil wars, political machinations and minefields, chantry atrocities, this wily old motherfucker is dodging and weaving his way through it all, not-quite-no-hits-taken-running-it-but-honestly-close-enough-under-the-circumstances style. if solas does succeed in tearing down the veil I would fully believe that one of the like three people still alive at the end of it all would be a very weary 90 year old first enchanter irving going 'oh this shit again huh'. the maker has cursed him for his hubris and his paperwork is never finished (affectionate, it's fine he canonically loves paperwork)

So the team might be a bit lost. And a bit in danger. And were separated but have at least fixed that. 

But it’s definitely not their fault right? After all, you can’t expect anything when fighting Klarion! But uh, there’s something big approaching through the green and floating things, like big enough to make waves, and no one wants to get anywhere close to whatever it is.

wait im confused. how do you have a sudden restraining order against someone that you didnt initiate? can the court just order someone not to be around any random person?

sometimes if someone assaults you or expresses threats, the judge can place release conditions not only banning them from entering the property they were picked up from, but also from knowingly approaching you for a certain period of time

I've had people get conditions to stay away from me before, so that's old hat, but this one was alarming because I never actually talked to the guy before he was arrested, and he didnt assault me

meaning that whatever threats he made, they happened after he was taken into custody, directed towards me SPECIFICALLY, spoken to a cop judge or parole officer, and taken seriously enough to address in court

And I don't know that until the letter arrived in the mail eight moths after the dude was picked up
