Love is a Many-Legged Thing
Yandere Squid Merman x Gender Neutral Reader CW: Noncon, tentacle noncon, light tentacle bondage, stalking, kidnapping, squid-based merman, big slimy prehensile merman dick, reader fucked senseless, merman fantasizes about receiving oral sex, general yandere behavior, delusional yandere, voyeurism, exhibitionism Word Count: 2k (Happy MerMay!!!! I really hope you all love the fic, would have been done weeks ago had the ac not died. But still 40min left of MerMay! I wrote this fast without a beta reader so please forgive any mistakes! The name Onyk is a reference to Onykia Ingens, a deap sea squid with an astoundingly long dick.)
Seaspark Aquarium was a very unique establishment. Not only did it contain the usual attractions that an aquarium housed, the tide pools, the sharks, a seemingly unending variety of colorful fish and corals and nudibranchs, but it also housed transient merfolk. The aquarium was situated on a flat outcrop of rocky land. Via submerged tubes it granted access to a huge tank to the ocean and merfolk below.
The tank was absolutely massive and had many different areas including a reef, a seaweed forest, a beach, and even a secluded sea cave. There were underwater cameras in most of the areas that live streamed what was happening on screens for the humans. Though the sea cave feed was restricted to adults only since the merfolk sometimes mated there.
The aquarium was just as much an exhibit for the merpeople as it was for the humans, they had underwater screens that allowed them to view the humans at play and at the food court. They enjoyed seeing and even communicating with their terrestrial cousins. There were several areas where humans and merpeople could talk face to face or via the cameras. Many of them visited quite frequently and made friendships with regular customers and their favorite staff members.
You had been blessed with landing a really good job at Seaspark Aquarium. Though it was entirely because you were the cousin of the curator of the establishment. You did janitorial tasks, including sometimes scraping the tanks, and occasionally you had to provide food for an exhibit. Even though interacting with animals or merfolk was not a common part of your job, there was one squid-man who had become quite friendly with you. Onyk.
Most of the squid type mermen shied away from human interaction, and really the aquarium as a whole, but not Onyk. He had always been a frequent visitor. A knowledgeable observer might even say it seemed that he had been hoping to find something there. The first few times he had gone had been out of pure curiosity about humans after hearing tales about them his entire life. But after his first couple of visits he was enthralled. Everything about the land walkers amazed him.
And then he met you and felt his heart flutter every single time he looked upon you. He frequently tried to engage you in conversation whenever he could and was always watching you, though often it was in secret. Onyk cherished your chats with him, he found you so interesting, even more so than he found other humans. He loved seeing you go about your tasks, it made him think of you cleaning his home as his mate while he went and got food for the two of you.
Of course if you had any say, that would never happen. Onyk, for some reason you couldn't quite place, creeped you out. No, it wasn't the head of tentacles he had in place of hair, nor the dark purple tentacles he had from the waist down, it wasn't his smile that showed off his dangerously sharp teeth, or his cyan blue eyes. No, it wasn't anything physical, just a weird energy he seemed to give off. Like a hungry animal hunting its prey.
You tried to be nice to Onyk, though you always tried to keep conversations brief and hurry on to other tasks that would take you out of his reach. Unfortunately he took your awkward stammers and clumsy rushing to zip away from him as you being extremely shy because you liked him. He sighed and stared at you longingly, head resting on his hands, as you rushed off once more. Clearly you were simply too embarrassed by your emotions to act rationally around him. Onyk had to find a way to get you to stop running off. As adorable as it was that you kept scampering off from your shyness you really needed to be closer to him.
Onyk had a brilliant, though simple, idea. It came to him right as you were in the middle of making another excuse to run away from him while the two of you were chatting in the beach area. He'd simply grab you. It wasn't the first thing he'd normally do, but you were just too prone to running off. It was more than obvious you needed him to make a firm and forceful first move.
"Well uh... it was nice seeing you again Onyk... but um... I gotta go check on the tide p-"
Onyk lunged at you suddenly with the speed and ferocity of lightning. He pulled you into the water and swiftly took you into the empty sea cave and sat you on the dry ground within. Yes, this would do perfectly for his purposes. It was a huge room that had an area for him to swim and enough space for you to run about and get exercise. This would make a lovely home for the two of you, he'd have to keep all the other merfolk out from now on but that wasn't an issue, they were respectful of claimed territory.
Once you caught your breath you were confused and angry at the sudden relocation.
"What the f-"
He interrupted you again, this time by pressing his hungry lips to yours in a passionate embrace. His long tongue slipped past your unsuspecting lips and explored every inch that it could reach. His saliva pooled in your mouth, claiming it. The offending muscle snaked down your throat before finally retreating as he broke the kiss, you struggled to find your breath once more.
"Heh, sorry for interrupting, I have just been waiting to kiss you for so long I couldn't hold back any longer!"
âWhat!? Why did you do that? Why did you bring me here!?â
âWell your shyness was making it hard for us to take things to the next step in our relationship, now you canât let your nervousness get the better of you and make you run off!â
âNext step in our relationship? We have no relationship, you creep!â
âDonât say that! Y-you just have the jitters because moving in is such a big step! Yeah, theyâll wear off soon Iâm sure.â
âThere wonât be a soon, I am going back to the beach!â
You started to head back to the water, but Onyk closed the distance between the two of you easily.
âBut you canât go! Youâre just in denial and nervous, but youâll love living with me, I promise. M-maybe Iâm not moving too fast but too slow. That must be it, you must be all pent up and eager for my dick! So naughty~â
Onykâs blush was evident even on his light blue skin. He swallowed your complaints in another deep kiss as he stood behind you and rubbed your crotch gently.
âWeâll do it in front of these cameras so everyone knows youâre mine now~â
And, indeed, the screens in the adults only section of the aquarium definitely picked up some viewers as the scene between you and Onyk unfolded.
Most mermen would have had trouble traversing land, but Onykâs strong tentacles allowed him to maneuver easily enough. He peeled off your wet clothing and wrapped his arms tightly around your bare chest, rubbing and caressing you with greedy hands. His prehensile cock wrapped partially around your waist, held you close as it rubbed against you. At first you mistook the sensation for a tentacle before looking down and seeing it, the cock was tapered, icy blue and glowing at the tip, with the rest of it being dark purple.
Your shouts and screams were ignored as Onyk convinced himself they were just you being grumpy or maybe playing hard to get. The mermanâs sharp teeth bit carefully at your tender neck as you squirmed. Most of his tentacles had wrapped around your legs, powerful suction cups firmly adhered them to you. They held you staunchly in place despite your best efforts to struggle.
The remaining two writhing appendages were busy with another task. They gently prodded and massaged your tight hole, slowly worming their way inside you. Your efforts to clench and keep them outside of you were rendered futile as they finally worked their way inside of you. They began thrusting in tandem back and forth within you, loosening you up well.
Your next attempt at protesting devolves into several lusty moans as he ministrations begin to elicit pleasure. Itâs all the confirmation he needs that he has been right all along and definitely went about everything in the right way.
âYour mating sounds are so lovely,â he said as he nipped at your ear.
His tentacles suddenly withdrew from your lovingly stretched hole, leaving you involuntarily whimpering at the sudden removal.
âAwe, donât worry, love. I have something far better to put into you~â
You snap out of it when you hear those words and feel his cock move itself from your waist and start wiggling against you in search of its target.
âWhat!? No, please do-oooh~ Aaah!â
When it found your entrance it deftly slithered right in. Much to your unwilling pleasure.
Onyk chuckled.
âI knew you just needed some good dick~ You feel soooo good. You were made for this!â
When you happened to look up at one of the cameras you blushed and looked down. The room that monitored the sea cave was now packed, everyone enjoying the sight. The aquarium was already at work recording with plans to put it on their website for sale.
You couldnât help the lewd cacophony of noises that tumbled from your mouth as the thick slimy cock thrust back and forth inside of you.
âI love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you. I love you!â Onyk chanted louder and louder until he slammed into you hard, filling you up with warm viscous semen at the same moment that you were shuddering from the strongest orgasm that you had ever experienced.
You were far too dazed and overstimulated to realize what was going on in that moment or what you were saying, but on autopilot you mumbled back what your brain thought it was supposed to when someone told you that they loved you.
âI l-love you tooâŚâ
Onyk was overjoyed to hear those words from his beloved human. He pulled out of you and laid down on the floor of the cave, pulling you close to him and resting your head on his chest. His webbed fingers gently caressed you as did both the tentacles that made up his "hair" and the ones below his waist. Cum slowly ebbed out of you and onto him but he didn't mind, the two of you would just get messy again the second you came to your senses. He nuzzled into your hair and gave you dozens of little kisses. Your mind was too blank and your body too exhausted to do anything but drool a bit on his chest while he cuddled you.
His head was swimming with all of the things the two of you would do together. Sharing meals, chatting, mating. He couldnât wait to wrap his cock gently around your neck while at the same time plunging it down your throat and having that pretty mouth of yours suck it until he was feeding you his cum. Maybe the two of you could try it when you woke up.
Meanwhile onlookers on the viewing screens were putting away their cocks and slipping their fingers out of their pussies with the spectacle now over, but word soon spread and tourism was up over 300 percent! Scientists the world over were interested in documenting this rare species of merman having sexual relations with a human. Grants were given. A great raise and credit to your cousin, the curator.
It was even considered a diplomatic victory for merfolk and humans!
Everyone came to the consensus that on all fronts, but yours, it was far too beneficial and lucrative to make sure you had to permanently stay in the sea cave for the rest of your life with Onyk. At the very least they equipped the habitat with amenities like a proper bathroom, tv, video games, and human food. The sea cave area was also expanded, and you were afforded some privacy, except for most of the times that your âhusbandâ Onyk was spilling his seed into you. Thatâs what people wanted to see.

She's finally finished! Custom doll of Galoo from Wendy Lian Martin's Castle Swimmer (on webtoons). I started making her immediately after Galoo's first appearance in the comic because I was so enamored with merseaslug. I love nudibranches....
This was literally my only reference for a long time lmaooo (me trying to figure out how many legs she has...)
This Galoo is the top half of a Cave Club doll (I think she was Roaralai?) and the bottom half is wire, fabric from the scrap drawer, and some faux fur I've had since I was a teenager. (It's not the best, but true to the themes of ocean preservation in Castle Swimmer, I wanted to reduce reuse recycle for this project!!) The body was the first thing I finished two years ago, so the reveal of her little paw pads were a last minute and delightful addition.

Hey there! I'm a sea slug!
Yes, I'm aware that I've got an odd theriotype. But to my defense, I'm an absolutely massive wildlife fan who LOVES marine biology. You can cal me Maverick or Mav for short, and my pronouns are he/him and it/its. I'm not going to specify my exact age here, but do be aware that I am an adult. If that makes you uncomfortable, which I completely understand, you may block me.
On this blog, I intend to provide resources to my fellow therians, such as care kits and tips for your theriotype. The difference between this blog and others like it is that I'll be basing the information I provide on your theriotype's behavior and enrichment needs. For example, I might suggest that a fox therian could obtain unprepared food, such as a meal kit or unprepared ingredients, and prepare meals for themselves, as well as snacks that can be eaten in one sitting, such as protien bars. (This is because in the wild, foxes prefer to eat more palatable food, such as cooked chicken, right away, but store less palatable food for later.)
This also means that anything you request might take longer for me to respond to, as I will do thorough research specific to your request. If you suggest a theriotype I've already done, without including any specific needs (such as dietary restrictions), I will link to the post for that theriotype.
What I Take Requests For:
Therian tips (closed)
Care kits (closed)
Stimboards (this one's a bit less research-intense, so the wait time will likely be shorter) (closed)
My Theriotypes:
(More on my theriotypes under the cut)
I identify as several species of sea slug. First, however, I'd like to talk a bit about what sea slugs are.
Sea slugs, also known as nudibranchs, are a type of gastropod, like slugs and snails. Unlike their land counterpart, however, many sea slugs are very colorful.
There are two main types of sea slug, those being Dorids and Aeolids. There's a very easy way to tell which is which:
Some of my theriotypes are Aeolids, others are Dorids. Try and spot what's what!

Could I mayhaps know what's the name of that arachnid field guide you have 0//0 it looks really pretty and I have. A thirst for all arachnid related field guides and biology books, love those critters
The Golden Guide to Spiders and their Kin! There were lots of them, originally made in the 60's or 70's I believe, and they used to still be so common when I was a kid - still in print, and sold for just a couple dollars everywhere - I thought everybody had a few! But now they seem to be forgotten.
I had the spiders one, insects one and "seashores" one (mantis shrimps and nudibranchs!!) before I could even read, just looking at the pictures all day. As I learned to read they were how I learned concepts of taxonomy and ecology, why I knew what a "parasitoid" was in first grade and I'd talk constantly about insects that aren't really RARE, but culturally most people never heard about. These books made things like velvet ants, bolas spiders and hairy millipedes seem to me like knowledge as ordinary as dogs and cats.
That "pests of animals" page in particular is why I knew there were wingless parasitic flies, and I thought that was so cool, I was obsessed with "SHEEP KED" for my entire childhood. This bug that nobody ever heard of when I mentioned it, but was at one time deemed worthy of inclusion in an everyday field guide. And they include "duck louse" as an animal pest you're expected to encounter. Sheep and duck parasites?!.....Oh, right! When these books first published, it was still commonplace for almost everyone to have experience with farm animals. Most people at least had grandparents or aunts and uncles with a farm they might visit and help out on. Of course they would encounter sheep and duck parasites. I think they still publish these, actually, I'm sure I still saw them in Barnes and Noble only a few years ago, but it's remarkable what a different America they were made under. My old copy even recommended DDT to control bed bugs....they did eventually edit that out in newer editions.
Some of their attitudes may be outdated here and there, and they're only intended for North American wildlife, but I think the golden guides might still be perfect introductions to their topics for anyone, anywhere of any age really?? They're such well-balanced overviews so densely packed with just the most essential information about each organism.
....Did people really ever just call tree frogs "hylas?!" It's one of their genus names, but was it also used as a common name anywhere? That's a cute idea. Maybe it was, briefly, so at some point to someone there was a concept of Frog, Toad, and Hyla?

Comes a god who needs no introduction, but will probably get one anyway, since most people looking upon his glory for the first time react either with uproarious laughter or with an indrawn breath and the querulous demand, âWhat the hell is that?â
Gil doesnât care. Gilâs church encompasses the only known marine animal to be capable of photosynthesis. The opinions of a few dry bipeds matter about as much to him as the opinions of a clam, and everyone with any sense knows that clams donât have good opinions about anything, except for maybe sand.
Gil knows exactly what he is. Gil is the small god of hidden potentials and beautiful things, the theater kid forced to hide his sequins before the gaze of a disapproving father, the gifted carpenter who canât own her own hammer without her older brothers taking it away. Gil sees beneath the masks and the draperies people use to hide themselves, and he knows whatâs really there. And he loves it. Every misfit, every malcontent, he sees them all and loves them all and hopes they will all, eventually, be allowed to find their own way home.
And when the people who would keep his faithful small make their own frightened voices large and demand, âWhat the hell is that?â, Gil is more than happy to remind them that the law of tooth and claw looms largely in the sea, and even the nudibranchâpretty painted princess of the benthic that it isâis a fierce predator in its own right, capable of swallowing creatures larger than itself entirely down in a single gulp. Gil will keep, protect, and defend whatâs his, and if some of those same dry bipeds have a problem with it, well.
Thatâs their problem, isnât it?

Round 1 - Phylum Bryozoa
(sources - 1, 2, 3, 4)
Bryozoa is a phylum of animals that, like many Cnidarians, live in colonies of cloned zooids that make up a larger organism, though some solitary species exist. They are commonly known as âMoss Animalsâ. Each individual bryozoan is usually about half a millimetre long. Colonies of bryozoans can take a variety of forms, including mats, fans, bushes, crusts, and balls. All bryozoans are filter feeders, using a crown of tentacles called a lophophore which surrounds a mouth. Most live in tropical saltwater, but some also live in oceanic trenches, polar seas, brackish water, and freshwater. 5,869Â living species of bryozoan are known.
In a colony of bryozoans, there are different types of zooids responsible for different functions. All bryozoans will have autozooids (seen in the first image), which are responsible for feeding, excretion, and supplying nutrients to the rest of the colony. Some species have specialist zooids, including hatcheries for fertilized eggs, defense structures, root-like attachment structures, and/or spiny defensive zooids that are used as legs to slowly creep along. Each zooid consists of a cystid, which provides the body wall and produces an exoskeleton, and a polypide, which holds the organs. Each colony grows by asexual budding from a single zooid known as the ancestrula. Most start life as males, later changing to female, though colonies will always contain a balanced ratio of males and females. Although the zooids themselves are microscopic, colonies can range in size from 1Â cm to over 1Â m (3Â ft 3Â in).
Propaganda under the cut:
Bryozoans are an important part of the food chain, and are preyed on by nudibranchs, fish, sea urchins, pycnogonids, crustaceans, mites, starfish, snails, and insects. Likewise they are also important filter feeders, providing filtering services just like mussels and sponges do.
Fossil bryozoans are known as far back as the early Cambrian, making them one of the youngest phyla in the fossil record. (Though they may have appeared earlier and just not fossilized due to less mineralization in their skeletons.)
The genus Monobryozoon are the only bryozoans that donât live in colonies. Their name literally means âAlone Moss Animalâ. They are very rare, considered almost a mythical animal among scientists. One species has been found 3 times, another species once, and the last species may not even exist, as its one sighting was not confirmed.
Species that can produce defensive zooids only do so in response to a threat. They may produce these new warriors within 48 hours of sensing said threat.
Many bryozoans have symbiotic relationships with animals of other phyla. For example, the bryozoan Alcyonidium nodosum protects the whelk Burnupena papyracea from the predatory Rock Lobster (Jasus lalandii) by forming a strong crust on its shell and producing chemical defenses which deter the lobster.
Members of a bryozoan colony are genetically identical and co-operate with the use of chemical signals. They can respond to the scent of predators or rival colonies as one. Teamwork makes the⌠weird little ball of guys work.
I like to imagine them talking like the aliens from Toy Story

Synopsis: The sea always calls to those who feel lost and alone, wanting to fill the empty part of their soul until they are loved and full⌠and as such, itâs only fair that the strange creatures that live beneath its depths would want the same as wellâŚ
Authorâs Note: Another 4-part fanfiction courtesy of @merakiui âs headcanon of the reader being stuck in a room/wall (Iâm sorry, but I just enjoy your headcanons and they always give me these ideas) -> https://www.tumblr.com/merakiui/722393818829373440/in-addition-to-being-stuck-in-a-locked-room?source=share & https://www.tumblr.com/merakiui/722677892623056896/about-the-stuck-in-a-wall-trope-in-the-oceani?source=share
Hereâs how itâs going to work: each character is going to get their own part following the intro. It is going to focus on the Octrio again (bc itâs my current liking, sorry guys). If you want to read a certain characterâs part, feel free to jump around and select the one youâre most interested in.Â
Again, as stated before, this is a work of fiction; I disagree with any and all behaviors that are represented in this story.
****
During your earlier days in college, you and another of your close friends had once discussed the difference between coral and mushrooms - as there were some fungi corals that lived in the coral reefs, even though they were not classified in the fungi family. You both agreed that fungi and coral played huge parts in their own ecosystems, providing both nutrition and hiding areas for the wildlife that inhabited the area around them. Both were made up of microscopic organisms - as most plants and other wildlife are - but while one shot spores, the other grew polyps on top of each other over time.Â
Your friend had asked if you knew if there was a coral reef back in your childhood home - to which you responded that you werenât sure. You had been told by someone once long ago that beyond the crashing waves of the sea outside of your familyâs cabin that there were coral structures the size of Burj Khalifa - the worldâs tallest building - and a few that were wider than the Aerium - the worldâs widest building. Imagining the depth and how big the ocean was already a monstrous task as it is, but the knowledge that some coral was as large and as wide as two of the worldâs biggest buildings was mind-blowing.
Now, a few years later as you dipped beneath the surface as the waves pulled you further into its depths, an amazing sight greeted you.
Colorful coral of all shapes, sizes, and types spread before you - elkhorn coral, fungia and pocillopora corals spread along the ocean floor as pillar and staghorn coral reached for the sky. Sun coral and sea anemones waved with the current of the tide while bubble corals and zoanthids peered out from dark crevices. The colors of neon in pink, green, teal, orange, and yellow shifted together with the darkness of the water here and there, making everything seem like a blacklight room from one of the cityâs downtown clubs.
But the coral and plants weren't the only thing colorful within the dark waters.
Bright colorful fish of all shapes and sizes surrounded you from all angles - clownfish peered out from behind the sea anemone as the occasional blue or yellow tang fish passed between the coral walls alongside lionfish and butterfly fish while nudibranch slugs crept along the edges with starfish as seahorses perched among the organ pipe corals and the carnation corals. You saw banded pipefish hidden in the crevices between rock and coral while moon jelly swam out to deeper waters, their nearly opaque bodies hiding their forms in the shifting waters that crashed against the waves. Manta rays swam close to the bottom of the hidden paradise, one occasionally coming up to you and brushing along the side as your light-weight tank top fluttered in the water around you, the feeling of soft smooth skin coated in a slick film surprisingly pleasant.
The colors of the deep dazzled you - pulling you into deeper waters as you held your breath for as long as you could before your lungs would force you to the surface, gasping out deep breaths as you floated above the surface world for a few moments before diving back down to stay for as long as you could in the peaceful paradise that existed beneath the waves, amazed by everything that surrounds you. You swam along the coral beds, fingers grazing over the pieces of coral polyps as you passed - as beautiful as the structures were, you could never break a piece off. The same person from your past had warned of doing such things as a child - breaking off pieces of coral can take years to grow back, and if they are broken off consistently, the coral eventually dies. Seeing the bright beautiful healthy green coloring of the coral beneath you reminded you of that memory - a smile tugging on your lips as you dived deeper.Â
Lost in thought, you didnât even realize you had swam as deep as you did until you felt your lungs struggling to hold your breath until your sides ached. You had traveled between some coral beds and were now surrounded completely by it, the coral twisting around you like thorns on a rose bush and every time you would attempt to get through, the coral would dig into your skin - cuts forming along your arms, face, and legs.Â
You looked around desperately - but there appeared to be no way out.
âPoor childâŚâ you heard a voice then, something soft and sickly sweet that tickled your eardrum, âPoor sweet childâŚâ
Your head turned in the direction of said voice, seeing nothing in the darkness. Fear ran along your spine as you did your best to keep calm, the anxiety eating away at you as you struggled to think of a way out as well as struggled to keep yourself from falling into exhaustion from losing oxygen.
A shadow shifted then as a pair of heterochromia eyes - one brown, one gold - peered out at you from the darkness beneath you. You watched as a figure appeared before you, their form coming into the light that shone in between the coral that surrounded you.
The figure was that of a very large creature that was half man and half fish - the pale sunlight reflecting off of his pale teal skin that was the color of sea water; his tail was long, making him approximately six or seven feet in length, and swayed with the water as he propelled himself toward you, slowly and filled with caution while his hands - which you thought may have been webbed - clenched at his sides, the claws digging into the flesh of his palms. His facial features appeared strong and sharp, eyes clear and calculating, as his lips spread in what appeared to be a friendly smile that was anything but; his dark hair - nearly the same color of his body - framed the strong features, though one long strand - nearly the color of deep seaweed green - fell over his left eye as the golden hue began to glow the closer he came to you.Â
It was then that you realized you were looking at a mer - a moray mer, to be exact.
Moray eels were known to attack when provoked, but the mers were known to hunt anything that trespassed into their territory - watching from the darkness before striking unexpectedly. You had heard stories about them when you were a child - the locals believing that they typically traveled in pairs, meaning that there was likely a secondary one close by and you had to tread carefully now that one of them had found you.
The mer only smiled, teeth sharper than a sharkâs gleaming in the darkness as his body began to glow; the large teal stripes that lined his hips, arms, and face began to glow in the darkness, his left gold eye nearly turning yellow as he gazed upon you.
âYou seem to have a very serious problem,â the mer spoke, his voice sounding like sweet honey dripping down from a hive on a hot summer day, â... There might be something I can do to help you.â
You were beginning to slowly lose consciousness, the edges of your vision fading into darkness as you struggled to stay awake - to stay aware. The mer seemed to sense this as he drifted even closer, slipping through the water like a water snake as he stopped in front of you, looking down as his smirk grew wider. The moray merâs features were now mere inches from your face, his webbed hands closing in to cup your face in between his palms before he pulled your face up to look at him, your body slowly becoming numb as your eyes drifted closed - the oxygen nearly out.
Something soft and surprisingly warm pressed against your lips before a sudden rush of air filled your lungs.Â
Your chest heaved as your eyes snapped open to see the mer pressing his lips to yours, pulling the water out and breathing for the both of you as the gills behind his finned ears fluttered with the current. You pressed your hands against his chest, trying and failing to push him away before one hand moved to wrap around your waist, pulling you closer to him as his other hand tangled into your hair, keeping your head still as he pressed his lips harder against yours - no longer breathing for you, but kissing you. You felt his long tail curl around your legs, keeping you trapped within his hold.
When he pulled away, his pupils had dilated; hunger reflecting within them.
âI saved your life, little pearl,â he whispered, âand now⌠I will take something from you as payment.â
You struggled, wanting nothing more to do with the mer that now wrapped completely around you.
However, the moray pulled you down into the depths of the coral enclosure, pressing the front of your against a large stone with one hand on your shoulders and the other holding your hands together above your head. You held your newfound breath between your lips before cool lips pressed against the nape of your neck, drawing the skin into the merâs mouth as he lapped and sucked on it like a newborn babe. You shuddered with every lap of his tongue and whimpered with every nip that you barely registered his hands releasing you before something dug on either side of your neck, deep enough to draw blood.
You cried out, bubbles escaping from your lips before the mer pressed his lips against yours again, breathing for you as he turned you to face him - webbed hands and claws creating small cuts in the fabric of your cotton capris before the fabric was removed along with your bottoms. You threw your head back as one thumb rubbed circles against your entrance - a musty-sweet odor slipping into the salty waters around you before something fleshy and hot pressed against it. You mewled as the mer flicked over your entrance, slipping one, then two fingers within - thrusting them in and out at a leisurely pace as the glowing on his body increased, his eyes never leaving yours. You whimpered softly, one hand reaching out and clasping onto his dark hair, his eyes closing and humming against you as a fire began to build in your thighs and lower belly - threatening to consume you as your body twitched with want.
As he worked you over and over, you shuddered and groaned, arching your back away from the stone as your muscles clenched. He pulled away after a few moments, the loss of contact making your body grasp at nothing. You whimpered in need before something long, thick, and rigid rub between your legs.
âAh⌠mine,â the moray mer sighed as he bared his teeth at you in a mocking grin, grabbing a hold of your ankles and pushing them into your chest as he leaned against you, moving his hips and rubbing himself against you, âMine⌠my precious little pearl⌠Do you know what youâve done to me?â
You can only quiver in response as he leans close, his nose nearly touching yours as his length continues to tease you, making your insides squirm with anticipation.
âHow long Iâve waited for you, little pearl,â he brushes his nose against yours, his voice soft and sugary-sweet, âIâve waited over six years⌠six years for you to come back to me. And now that youâre here⌠I can never let you go.â
Then, you feel him thrust hard and fast inside you, pushing your stomach into your throat as a silent cry leaves your mouth. The mer is merciless against you, pressing you hard into the stone beneath you and keeping a firm grip on your ankles as he pounds into you, each thrust making the precious air that still exists within you leave in the form of tiny bubbles from your mouth and nose.Â
He presses his lips to yours again as his eyes close, breathing for the both of you again before pulling away to lavish at your neck, his tongue flicking over the scratches he made as you feel something rise up and down from your skin. Both of your chests heave together, the pounding of your hearts argue in your rib cages as he presses his lips against yours, no longer breathing as his thrusts become more urgent. He releases his grip on your ankles and hauls you up by your waist, moving your position around so you may settle onto his lap, your thighs resting on either side of his hips as he presses deeper into your core.
The change caused you to gasp again, feeling him practically nudge into your stomach. The mer slows, allowing to adjust to this new position as he kisses your features - your forehead, your nose, eyelids, brows, cheeks, and lips - as if he is completely worshiping you.
âSweet, precious little pearlâŚâ he whispers, snapping his hips in urgency against you after a few moments, âLet me lay you⌠keep them safe for me, for usâŚâ
You whimper softly, a name long forgotten now bubbling forward, âJ-JadeâŚâ
Jade lets out a low growl in response, thrusting hard and fast against you, âThatâs r-right, little pearl⌠my precious (Y/N)...â
You let out a cry as your entrance grips onto Jadeâs member, the muscles in your lower body spamming wildly as something thick and heavy slips between your legs.
Jade presses his forehead in the juncture between your neck and shoulder, his breath caressing your skin, billowing the tank top youâre still wearing, gasping, â...not enough, little pearl. Not enough, yetâŚâ
***
Jade has carried you to his corner of the shadows, curled beside you as you laid on his bed of seaweed surrounded by coral. His hand cups your cheek and follows the curve of your cheekbones before pressing another kiss to your lips and resting his forehead against yours.Â
It had been years since he had last seen you - the two of you plus his twin had been thick as thieves, frolicing along the shore lines and had taught you to swim. He had gathered many pieces of coral during that time and presented them to you when you all met up each and every day - the giggles that slipped past your lips making him smile with pride and puffed out his chest like a seagull. Eventually though, those days of spending time with one another along the shores became fewer and fewer.Â
Floyd had moved on, now more interested in antagonizing Azul verses waiting on the rocky shoreline for you to come out to play - but Jade was more patient than his twin, his tail swaying with anticipation along with the tide as he watched from his spot on the rocks, his heterochromia eyes never straying from the shoreline. Eventually, his patience thinned to the thickness of a thread, going to Azul to test out his latest potion that would allow him to take on the form of a human for an hour. He headed into the village, searching high and low for your family. One of the village members had been kind enough to explain that your family had moved to the nearest city where you had been accepted into college.
Jade felt his heart break. There was no way he could follow you - and even if he did, how would he find you?
Azul noticed his sour mood upon his return, the typical Jade he knew would never lounge on the rocks among the coral like his brother did unless something happened. Jade had stayed silent about what he had heard on the surface above - merely going through his life day by day as the heartache festered and grew within, making him irritable - once snapping at Floyd which made the younger of the two surprised. It didnât take long after that incident that Jade decided to move away to another part of the coral city, hiding within the darkness of the crevices as thoughts of you consumed him day and night.
He was about ready to give up on himself when you came swimming back into his life - quite literally.Â
Jade tucked his head under your chin, arms wrapping around your waist as he hummed. Tomorrow, he would go to Azul to find a potion to make you more like him⌠even threaten the octomer with becoming fish bait if he refused.
But, for now⌠Jade was content to have you in his arms, back in his life. His precious little pearlâŚ

This also means that their very young, very lovely tour guide with boundless enthusiasm is also a lot less endearing than she had been. Buck feels terrible. Sheâs so nice. But heâs very tired of the whole spiel.Â
âIf youâre really lucky, weâll see sea slugs!â Brittany exclaims as they get into their kayaks. âWe have opalescent nudibranch slugs all over and the colors they come in are amazing. Theyâre beautiful!â
âTheyâre such a treat,â Buck agrees tightly. Heâs trying his best at sounding enthusiastic.Â
Brittany frowns. âWhoa, youâve seen them before?â
Eddie sighs.Â
Okay! As if he was perfect at this on his first few times.Â
âUh, no,â Buck admits. âJust⌠I look up, uh, slug photos sometimes.â
Brittany blinks. âOh, uh⌠Yeah, okay.â
âYouâre so weird sometimes, Buck,â Chris says.Â
âHe is,â Eddie agrees. âThat was a very weird thing to say.â
âIâm trying here,â Buck whispers, annoyed.Â
They help Chris into his kayak, and then Eddie calmly and expertly explains the best way to paddle. Just like he has all the other days. He has this speech down to a formula.Â
âWow, sweetheart,â Buck smirks at him. âYou are so good at kayaking.â
Eddie makes a tight face.Â
Buck probably shouldnât tease, but he will literally go insane if he has to pretend every day. Besides, maybe it will be good for Eddie to ease up a bit, too.Â
âYeah, Dad,â Chris picks up on Buckâs observation. He hasnât joined in on this conversation before. Buck changing it changes things. âYou are!â
âI learned in El Paso,â Eddie says, expression flat. âAt the lake.â
âI grew up near a lot of water,â Buck says. âRivers, lakes, a waterpark. I just learned how to drunkenly skinny dip.â
Chris bursts into laughter.Â
âBuck,â Eddie complains.Â
Buck just winks at him.Â
As with the other four tours, Brittany is understanding that Chris canât keep a regular pace for the tour. So they take it slow. Buck remembers appreciating the leisurely pace the first time. Now he just wants to speed it all up. Chop, chop. See some slugs.

âI donât want to make your job harder.â
Eddie doesnât like this way of talking at all. It reminds him of him at that age. Constantly worried about making his parentsâ life easier. Taking better care of his sisters. Doing more. Being better. His kid spends three months in El Paso and comes back with a guilt complex. Fan-fucking-tastic.
âBuddy,â Eddie says firmly. âYouâre not. I banked a lot of overtime over the summer. And, itâs not your job to worry about my work. You just worry about recovering.â
Chris sighs. âOkay.â
Eddie is going to send his parents fire ants in the mail.
âWhy did you bank overtime?â

Saw some of the jellyfish you posted and wanted to ask what your favourite marine invertebrate/s are (jellyfish or otherwise)?
As a marine biology enjoyer, I like learning about cephalopods, nudibranchs and jellyfish. Plus I think they're very pretty.
But I'll stay well away from the cone snails, the blue-ringed octopus and the venomous jellyfish species. đ¤Ł
Thank for this question!
I am more of a terrestrial biologist, but I absolutely love marine biology. More to the point, I absolutely love marine invertebrates, and it's hard to narrow down which ones are my absolute favorites. ďżź
1. ďżź Cephalopods are one of my favorite groups of animals, and within that I really love the cirrate octopods.
2. Sea Pigs are just really wonderful creatures, and I always include these strange little deep sea benthic holothurians in every list of favorite animals. ďżź
3. The Sea Hares are a group of marine gastropods that I think don't get enough love. One time Paxon and I saw one next to a rock jetty on Galveston Island, and I squealed and almost fell in the water.

This jelly is ear-resistable!
In the lunar calendar, weâve entered the Year of the Rabbitâa time of hope, peace, and prosperity. If you hop into the ocean looking for some bunny to love, youâre in luck! There are huge algae-eating California sea hares that release magenta ink when theyâre disturbed and cute black-and-white sea bunny nudibranchs that feast on sponges.
Our new favorite? The rabbit-ear comb jelly (Kiyohimea usagi), a delicate deep-sea ctenophore that lives in Monterey Bay! Scientists named it usagiâJapanese for ârabbit"âbecause little projections on its body look like rabbit ears.â Want to learn a hare more about the rabbit-ear comb jelly? Check out this video from @mbari-blog! https://mbayaq.co/3Y4itfJ

When I first heard that a new Endless Ocean was going to be released, I was incredibly excited. Just absolutely over-the-moon excited. You see, Endless Ocean 2: Blue World (also called Endless Ocean 2: Adventures of the Deep) is one of my favourite games of all time. Scratch that: it is my favourite game. It was far from perfect, but I loved it dearly and happily sank hundreds if not thousands of hours into it.
EO2 is a diving game for the wii that was released in 2010, and I have never been able to find a game quite like it. The main story was a bit cheesy, but charming and engaging, with a bevy of likeable if occasionally one-note characters, and the game itself had surprising depths (diving pun fully intended). The game had 12 different diving maps in 6 locations and while the specific areas were fictitious, they were based on very real places (the South Pacific, Mediterranean Sea, Red Sea, Arctic and Antarctic Oceans, as well as a freshwater river in the Amazon) and this was reflected in the species found in each area, with a few exceptions here and there. Â You could explore shallow coral reefs, a sunken castle, ancient temples, abyssal depths, a kelp forest, sandy beaches, riverbanks, hidden coves with murals, and much more. You also had a small private island as a hub location, a personal reef you could decorate, and a public aquarium which you could fill with any of the non-legendary species you discovered.
Speaking of which, the game featured 340 different species of marine and freshwater fish, sharks, rays, marine mammals, penguins, shore birds, reptiles, crustaceans, cephalopods and other invertebrates. Some of these also had different models for young or different genders. You could find truly miniscule species that most other diving games overlook entirely in zoom-spots (such as gobies and nudibranchs), and you could interact with most by feeding, touching or even riding in the case of large marine life. And on top of this you could also find legendary creatures, which could be individuals of extant species with unusual colouring or size, or even extinct species, and could be exceedingly hard to find but entirely rewarding.
This is already getting to be much too long but on top of all this you could customize your diver character, buy things for your island hub, decorate and populate a private reef to propagate and release fish, create various aquarium exhibits, discover a great many side-quests, upgrade equipment, take and sell photographs, heal sick animals, search for and sell salvage, find collectable coins, train dolphin partners, take requests for guided tours, dolphin shows, salvage and photos, dodge or placate aggressive sharks, and more that I am probably forgetting. Itâs been a while since Iâve played the game, as I no longer have a wii and donât have the first clue on how to emulate games on my PC. All this is to say that this game was something special, and I have never been able to find anything remotely close to it. And seeing as how the last one was released almost 15 years ago, I had long given up hope for an Endless Ocean 3.
And then lo and behold, a trailer dropped from out of nowhere for Endless Ocean Luminous! And it was releasing in a month! Holy Shit! What!? Yes!
But alas, the more information came out about the game, the more that excitement started to wane. A focus on multiplayer? Procedural generation? Only one map? The only character being an AI that sounded like all those awful tiktok voices? To be clear, I wasnât expecting Luminous to be the next GoTY. I wasnât even expecting it to be an exact replica of EO2, or continue the storyline. If it had even a fraction of what I liked about the previous game I was going to be one happy camper. I assumed that the marketing was focusing on the multiplayer aspect instead of the single-player story, that hopefully the procedurally generated map was exclusive to that multiplayer. Surely the single player mode would extend past what little was shown in the trailers. Some things seemed promising, such as an advertised 500+ species, and even more prehistoric marine life. But again, alas, what I have seen since the release is the barest and palest reflection of what I enjoyed about the previous game. I could understand cutting some content, such as the dolphin training and shows, considering the controversy of cetaceans in captivity. But it seems like there is no aquarium, no central hub of any type, no characters beyond the aforementioned AI and a single faceless diver, salvage reduced to a single click, an incredibly reduced story consisting mostly of scanning fish, no ability to feed or interact with fish and fish behaviour also seems to be quite reduced. At least photography still appears to be in the game, though its unclear to what point. Are there still photo requests? The ability for some critters to swim along with or attach to your diver looks cute at least. But everything Iâve watched so far just feels so⌠lifeless. Empty. As if the whole game was AI generated, which Iâm at least %75 sure isnât the case.
But Iâm left kind of baffled by the direction that this game was taken in. Iâve been trying to find any information about itâs development with little to no success. Why the focus on multiplayer to the exclusion of a single player story beyond the bare minimum? What lead to the choice to have a single, procedurally generated map instead of separate, smaller, but more scientifically accurate maps? Or even a single smaller but purposefully designed map? Was this game more like the previous games at any point in its conception or development or was it always intended to be such a departure?
#I apologize for the wall of text and stream of consciousness rant#Should this game ever go on sale I may check it out#but as it is I cannot justify spending $50 on it#endless ocean#endless ocean 2#endless ocean luminous

followed you because when you reblogged my bad communication post i loved your url !! do u have any nudibranch propaganda to share?
Hell yea i do!! This got a little long :)
These funky little dudes have the coolest morphology, something theyre well known for. They can be pretty tiny (0.4 cm) or surprisingly large (60 cm) and generally live in the tropics, though there are certainly a wide variety that live in cooler ocean water as well. Some of the more well known species are very eye catching, like the Jorunna Parva (Bunny slug) or Glaucus Atlanticus
Some of them look like funky leaves and some of them look like slugs we see on the surface too! (Did you know licking banana slugs that you find on land makes your tongue go numb? 10/10 not recommended but i was a dumb kid)
They also come in a goth or clown variant for those that are looking to fit a certain aesthetic :)
Theres two kinds of nudibranchs. Dorids, which breathe from a central plume of gills above their ass, and Aeolids, which breathe from a collection of spiky protrusions called cerata. There are a couple more distinguishing features relating to their digestive tracts and mantles (or lack thereof), but this is the easiest way to tell them apart in my opinion!
Theyre also carnivorous! These guys will eat a wide variety of stuff, including sponges, coral, barnacles, anemones, and even other nudibranchs and their eggs.
There are a couple species that have some pretty cool diets, like the Glaucus Atlantica, which preys on the portugese man of war and other siphonophores. It can eat the man of war whole if theyre small enough, but will also just eat the tentacles if theyre too big. Glaucus will then push the stinging nematocysts (the bits that hurt) from its insides to its outsides and use them as self defence!
There are also sea slugs, like the Costasiella Kuroshimae (technically not a nudibranch yada yada yada) that eat algae they then use to photosynthesize!
These funky little creatures are also hermaphroditic! Like a lot of animals, they use mating dances to attract a partner. Thats not whats cool about their reproduction though. When the time comes to lay their eggs, they do so in the coolest ribbon-like structures.
Mostly though, i just love how different all these little guys are. Personally, my fav nudi is from the ocean near where i live!
Anyways, that was rlly long. thanks if u ended up reading and defs look into these little weirdos on ur own!! (references? idk her :P but actually i dont remember where i learned most of this, though some supplemental info and pics w out credits from wikipedia!)

Hi Alex!
I see you like the ocean and in one of your tags you did a late night dive and saw octipi! Did you see any other creatures? And what go you into diving?
Im mostly just curious! Have a nice one!
Hello!! Gosh ty for asking I DO love the ocean and I would love to talk about the dive
We saw a lot of octopi yes, and we also saw some cuttlefish, a brittle star, stonefish, a lot of species that I don't know the names of (theyre just lil local guys), red mullets, nudibranchs, we even saw a lil conger eel and !!! a lot of box jellies!!!!!!
There was so much like down there fr it was awesome
And, I have been snorkelling intermittently for years now (whenever I had time to spare) and I was meaning to get into legit diving for a while, I finally took the step thanks to my bf who is a diver and encouraged me to finally get into it :] I haven't gotten to dive a lot yet only a couple times but it's been so fuckin dope
#ask#wawawa i love. ocean creachur#unfortunatley you need 1. money and 2. time and 3. good weather for diving but its worth it
