sdfgsdf regarding headcanons sdfg i promise i'm coming through with my drafts soon. firstly! please feel free to use any asks that i write as a starter, & if you want to use headcanons as a point of plotting - the answer is yes. secondly! honestly, i'm trying to think of a clean way that i can make my headcanons accessible.

Nononono. I love SG!ConstructProwl. Because consider in IDW Baseline he never accepted them truly and they left him.

In SG they are successful at wooing him.

Concept.

In SG it is the Constructicons are medics. In BL, they forcibly converted Prowl because of orders and feel in love with his brain. In there's during the SG!ProwlOP divorce, they find him beaten and broken left to die, and having seen what he went through feel sick at the idea of leaving him, and his Spark case is compromised. So they temporarily hook him into their Gestalt system since it is made to accept others, but Prowl latches on to them and is utter enraptured by their loyalty and love. He knows it exists but feeling that kind of loyalty and naivete about being goodness in the world after everything he sees is charming and what's more he wants it. So they've been chosen by a feral sleazy cat/mean girl who is very much now "Optimus who?" and eyeing them up while they squeak and push at him with a broom especially since he refuses to break the bond and gives them sad cat eyes that they know–they can feel his think which is beautifully sharp and horrifically clear and calculating–it is fake but the thought of hurting him and echoed memory of rejections and beatings and not being enough that radiates at the spark of him makes them unable to let go.

Even more Prowl is more than rwady to go full ride or die and has decided to be their murderous "he said no pickles" girlfriend and torment them into not overworking themselves and glare at the Decepticons who ask for assistance or projects and make sure they eat and are fed and have a schedule. The Constructicons overextend themselves to support everyone and have issues saying no.

Prowl does not.

The Decepticons are horrified at the implication of taking advantage and Megatron finds himself agreeing with Prowl about them taking care of themselves while they get upset at first but reluctantly admit he's right.

"Of course I am." Is Prowl’s only response as he shoves cube of Energon flavored to each of their exact tastes and locks down their work stations (Soundwave conveniently distracts Shockwave so he can't help them hack back in) and shuffles them to berth.

Hm, I have thoughts now about Workaholic!SG!Constructicons and their small bossy new self-assigned wife.

Exactly, SG ProwlOp is a toxic relationship I can absolutely see happening as an on/off thing that's been going on since before the war but of course this is the final off switch.

They just have to save him, they've gotta. And they do. Prowl happens to latch on very tightly and does not want to let go lol

It is such the opposite of canon and now he's the one who is sticking close by, because he has felt Positive Emotions that do not come from someone else's Negative Emotions for the first time and he's hooked.

What little arguments AruAni would have? Like, would they "fight" of Annie's choice of sweets because it's TOO sugary or Annie would playfully roll her eyes every time Armin would bring new books, and their shelves literally*breaking*

These are SUCH cool ideas Anna!!! So lovely! I'm gonna expand on them:

Armin uses all his savings on books that phisically don’t fit on his shelves anymore. Maybe at some point he gives up on trying to put them on shelves and just piles them up around the house. Annie keeps tripping over them and he keeps promising to put them away, but he ultimately never does, he just brings home more and more books, one or two every day, and, as you said, she playfully rolls her eyes and shakes her head at his shenanigans. Until one day, they’re runming late to one of Historia's dinners and Annie’s rushing through the house because where are her damn earrings and– she trips over a pile of books and falls flat on her face. Needless to say, they don’t make it in time for the dinner. The next day, Armin packs all his books into boxes and puts them away in the basement, and stops bringing any new ones home. He can’t bring himself to look at her for the next week because he feels guilty for what happened, which I think would drive Annie insane. So at the end of that week, as soon as he walks through the door, Annie grabs both of his hands and drags him to the basement– which looks nothing like the basement he had put his books in. No, it’s barely a basement anymore– it’s a library. With shelves going all the way to the ceiling and a rolling stairwell thingy so he can reach the top shelves, a comfy couch on the side and a working desk in the centre of the room. Armin freezes for a moment, tears pooling in his eyes as he take sit all in– she built him a library. A library of his own. It’s the most loved he's ever felt, and it's overwhelming in the best of ways.

After he doesn’t say anything for an excruciating amount of time, Annie squeezes his hand to bring him back to her. "I haven’t put all the books in yet, I figured–" but he cuts her off and kisses her, once, twice, and three times, reducing her to a blushy laughing mess. And then they put all the books on and try out the couch

BUT I AM DIGRESSING!!!

I think Armin scolding Annie for her sugar intake would only result in her learning how to bake. Except she doesn’t bake at normal times, no. She bakes when she's stressed. She bakes in the middle of the night. She bakes before important meetings. And of course, Armin usually joins her in the kitchen, because he's also stressed and nervous about that meeting and he sometimes can’t sleep alone at night. He teases her endlessly at first, ending up with a cinnamon roll stuffed in his mouth to shut him up.

When they first moved in together, they argued over the color of the walls– Annie wanted a classic white in all rooms, while Armin wanted each room to be a different color (they eventually ended up compromising and having one colored wall in each room).

Maybe Armin likes sleeping with the window open, because it helps him breathe better, but Annie gets cold easily, so they end up having some silly arguments about that too. Armin eventually gets Annie two more blankets and she stops complaining about the cold.

But, I think that, more often than not, Annie fights Armin because he keeps overworking himself. Most days, she has to physically drag him to bed. Other days, he’s so exhausted that he ends up breaking down mid-argument, so Annie stops fighting and just holds him.

This turned out so long sdfg i'm sorry for that ;-; BUT I had so much fun with this!! Thank you Anna for the ask!!♡

I don’t usually do any ships involving the PMD Heroes or Partners. Though, I find Super Hero/Partner/Espurr to be interesting even if it’s more on the platonic side. With Hero being a former human and most likely older than both the other Pokémon—I feel like they’d just date to date. To have some of the experience. Even if they probably set up firm boundaries beforehand to make sure things don’t go to far.

Not much changes between Hero and Partner. It’s the addition of Espurr that semi-adapts their dynamic. Espurr’s the chillest of the Serene Village kids and isn’t scared easily. The three would definitely send post cards to one another after the Super Duo go to lively town.

Or a weird polycule of all the Serene Village kids (or maybe something similair to a pack after facing down “Giratina”.)

so i've been having this really worrying computer glitch where my trackpad stops being clickable and my mouse stops moving and everything becomes unresponsive and then my screen eventually blacks out (or I turn my computer off first). On restart it's "fine" until the next time it occurs. But so far it has only happened while in firefox, specifically while using tumblr?? at first it was specifically only happening when ublock origin was enabled on tumblr and while i was on a dashboard blog preview (switching ublock off made the glitch immediately stop) but now it's happened again and on the regular dash (this time without the blackout part and the cursor partially moving but the trackpad still totally bombed and my text typing super slow—yeah this particular instance happened during my first draft of this post) while ublock was already off. Oh and it happened one other time too, when I tried blocking a tumblr dash element with a different ad blocker (that was after I had begrudgingly disabled ublock.)

Anyway it's been like two days is this something wrong with my laptop itself or like?? I recently turned on the LegacyUserCustomizations toggle in firefox's 'About:config' options a few days ago, in order to set a custom background image and stuff for my browser after finally switching away from chrome... might this have something to do with it? i'm actually so worried if this keeps up 😭 um anyway if people who know more than me have any ideas pls feel free to give me your thoughts.

(and if i do have to turn off my firefox css, is there any alternate way to set a background bc i want it pretty sdfg)

it’s  interesting,  talking  with  the  scouts.  interesting  because  1  )  it’s  been  a  while  since  the  survey  corps  has  been  able  to  take  new  members;  he’s  the  freshest  addition  in  months  2  )  because  marlo  feels  a  nagging  realization  that  he  is  talking  to  the  ones  that  have  survived  3  )  he’s  talking  to  the  people  who  are  going  to  survive.

generally,  that  means  he’s  green  enough  that  he’s  not  worth  remembering  until  he’s  proven  himself.  generally,  that  means  that  mikasa  salutes  him  by  interrupting  the  memoir  of  a  fallen  soldier  with  an  alternative  narrative.  it’s  quite  kind.  generally,  that  means  that  marlo  is  in  an  unprecedented  position.

after  a  stint  as  a  would-be  executioner,  generally  doesn’t  seem  to  apply  to  jean.  for  better  or  for  worse,  that  sort  of  performance  tends  to  be  an  icebreaker.

jean  threatened  his  life.  for  a  moment,  marlo  had  believed  him;  he  had  thought  that  jean’s  performance  had  been  spectacular  —  he  resigned  himself  to  failed  work,  to  continued  work  in  a  corroding  system.

in  fairness,  the  military  police  is  not  only  a  terrible  place  with  only  terrible  people  —  perhaps  the  story  of  annie  leonhart  threatens  that  assertion,  but  it’s  true.  for  instance  :  it’s  true  that  hitch  presents  herself  in  a  way  that  she  leaves  something  sardonic  &  skeptical  in  the  air.  after  marlo  stops  taking  her  at  her  word,  he  learns  that  hitch  weighs  everything  in  terms  of  costs  &  reward.  she’s  realistic  &  pessimistic,  but  she  isn’t  terrible.

for  instance  :  there  are  others  who  in  the  military  regiment  who  disguise  the  best  of  themselves  &  learn  the  best  way  to  carry  themselves  is  to  hold  their  tongues  —  the  walls  have  ears  —  &  marlo  just  has  never  been  very  good  at  regulating  himself  like  that.

jean  did  not  kill  him  when  he  performed  as  marlo’s  would-be  executioner.  marlo  did  not  kill  jean  when  given  the  opportunity  (  the  appearance  of  an  opportunity  ).

they  sit  together  now,  &  it’s  not  quite  camaraderie.  they  knock  beers  together,  &  some  of  marlo’s  spills  onto  the  table  —

he  stares  at  the  streaks  of  liquid  &  nods  at  the  table.  i  want  to  be  able  to  say  i  say  i  died  fighting,  jean  says  in  a  gesture  amicability.  &  marlo  leans  in  to  make  himself  heard  —

he  starts  to  say  what  the  common  response  in  the  military  police  would  be  :  most  people  don’t  want  to  die.  most  people  want  to  say  to  be  able  that  they  die  happy,  that  they  die  old,  that  they  die  peacefully.

he  clears  his  throat  &  settles  on  nodding  a  second  time.  ‘  i  just  want  to  say  that  i  died  with  integrity.  ‘

it  does  no  good,  he  thinks  —  to  die  with  regrets.  he’s  a  man  knee-deep  in  principles,  opinions,  &  odd  angles.  he  just  doesn’t  want  to  forget  them;  he  doesn’t  want  to  corrupt  himself.

&  he  thinks  that  maybe  that  same  threat  doesn’t  apply  to  jean,  to  the  survivors  of  the  survey  corps.  ‘  it’s  an  admirable  thing,  ‘  he  says  aloud.  &  he  means  it.

"Is that what I said to you on Hazelton?" "That was a long time ago. We're not at the D.A.'s office anymore." "I didn't realize our bond had an expiration date." and "Harvey, look. If our bond can't survive me telling you no, then… It didn't mean much to begin with." like I'm sorry your BOND? and that sounds like a consent metaphor to me?? and the way there was flirtation and care and hurt there too, like. these boys fucked around at the DA's office. ANDthen, later scene between them, when he still won't budge for harvey, harvey throws out "Send Carolyn my love." when he leaves like HELLO? was she the other woman in this scenario, harvey?? annnnndd to top it off this is all while the new managing partner at the firm is gay and it's a little hush but harvey and him just know they just get it and each other. (and this is again me behind the lines ig but jessica basically implies to him that harvey might out him and he's just like...nah, because he's fucking clocked harvey I swear it, and yeah lo and behold harvey does no such thing he just shares a smile and head tilt when he tells him he knows. like. this is mlm/mlm solidarity up in here ok.)

andd omfg when harvey's telling scottie (they're not together. it's missed-their-chance trope, but they're great) about how he basically loved her at first sight. he thought she was beautiful, and then heard her smarts and realised her beauty was the second best thing about her. like -- as if that's not exactly how it went with mike fucking ross HELLO. sir you LOVE a beautiful smarty pants and you will love them at first sight goddamn you, you've got a type and a means. (AND in episode of all time 2x10, when harvey gets high with mike, he literally looks into mike's eyes and tells him that his dad believed in love at first sight. like HELLLLOOO.)

aaa and omg mike with the line at the end "I don't wanna be here if I'm not solid with Harvey." and literally giving up his newly gifted office just because maybe it might be one thing on a pile of many that might lead to harvey forgiving him. the boy's whole episode is devoted to wanting to win this man back and it's beautiful and it's tragic in the Sweetest way. and GOD the shots of just them Looking at each other. harvey wants him so bad ffs. (and like. rachel wanting mike to quit. but cue like six shots of mike gazing at harvey and doing everything he can to help harvey whether harvey accepts it or not. this boy is NOT about to quit harvey for anyyyyyything.) (and like. harvey would not be this hurt for anyyyyone ever. it's because he Loves mike. he loves him so bad.)

assuming (hoping sdfg) this is re: my xo kitty oc so here we go!!;

so Lucas (Luke to friends, Luca to his dad) Greco is the son of an italian expat who moved to korea for his job. he was originally born in italy and lived there until he was thirteen. he hated it A Lot at first but once he started attending KISS and made some international friends who understand the struggle he started to enjoy his new living situation a lot more.

Lucas is the kind of person who likes to think he's above it all. he's not necessarily selfish—he loves getting involved in other people's drama, mostly—but he's very quick to decide on the things that do and do not interest him, and the things that don't might as well not exist at all.

he decides pretty early on that Kitty is one of the things that doesn't interest him. really, he's too focused on his rivalry with Minho to care about her existence. that is until he learns about Kitty's insane drama from Q, who he shares a few classes with, and suddenly he's extremely interested and involved.

Luke is a Minho ship but it's probably going to be and extremely slow burn rivals to lovers kind of deal. he's just a menace to Kitty for almost all of the time. he and Yuri get along surprisingly well when she isn't on a war path and he does at least once team up with Yuri to terrorize Kitty.

Friend, don't get me started on what that scene makes me feel. I say as I figuratively roll up my sleeves and get to typing. There is a lot to unpack with just that scene alone, and I have so many thoughts about just it and what happens afterward.

Let's start off with why showing even this little amount of emotion is a big deal. Roy is a person who has a public image he must keep in place in order to properly ascend to the Presidency. In order to keep those above him off his trail, he has to make himself appear lackadaisical, womanizing, easily angered, and somewhat detached. He cannot have friends. He cannot appear close to anyone. He cannot show how capable and intelligent he actually is. So, with this scene, he waits until everyone but Lieutenant Hawkeye is gone to show even just a sliver of emotion, that Hughes's death affected him---because of course it did. Hughes was his best friend, his confidant, someone he fought alongside in Ishval, the person who was going to help him rise to the top. He's going to be emotional, but, being the man he is, he still does not feel like he can show much.

I take the phrase itself as having a couple of different meanings. One is exactly what you said while another alludes to how he can't use his alchemy when his gloves are wet (shown in episode 5 of FMAB). This is him speaking in metaphor: he's saying that he's vulnerable, and he feels useless. He couldn't do anything to save his friend, and that devastates him. The phrase is actually conveying a lot in just a few words, and, to me, it's one of the most powerful single pieces of dialogue in FMA as a whole. I may be biased, though, as someone who writes for Roy.

Then, I have to talk about how Roy handles his grief afterward. Wait, no---he doesn't. That's the point. He never deals with just how much grief he's carrying around when it comes to Hughes. As the series progresses to the point of the Promised Day, Roy gradually breaks down. His public image starts going with it bit by bit, especially when he loses his team. The manga shows this in a little more depth, honestly, but it's worth noting that, even before Laboratory 3 happens, Roy's not taking care of himself. Nothing matters. His grief is eating him alive. Hughes's death weighs heavily on him until he finally gets to confront Envy. He lets anger mask his grief, and thus we have Flames of Vengeance / Beyond the Inferno.

This scene, when I first watched FMAB, destroyed me. To this day, it destroys me because that grief is almost tangible. By saying "It's a terrible day for rain," Roy lays out his grief, his love for Hughes, and how useless he feels in the face of it all. He made his words count.

Hi Anna!! Thank you for the ask, and i'm sorry I've left you hanging for so many weeks– i thought i could leave it until the next trip, in hopes of updating the story in the meantime– which obviously didn’t happen ://

But anyway!! I'll try to answer in regards of what I have up. I also don’t really remember what i've said previously so i apologize if i'm repeating myself sdfg

So the story started as a thread of headcanons, shared on twitter, in which i pretty much gave away the whole plot of the story really– that hasn’t changed. The thread served and serves as a skeleton of the story. (i think it’s still up if you feel like scrolling through 3 years' worth of shitposting) And then I made an outline, which hasn’t changed much since the begging really.

Except– I only focused on AruAni and their relationship in that outline. The others were brushed to the side, which i think is pretty obvious in the first few chapters. But as the story progressed, i realised that i have such a diverse cast of characters and i was letting it go to waste, so i started exploring other characters as well– thus, Annie started having more interactions with the others (but that can be interpreted as her warming up to the others and growing comfortable around them, so we can pretend it was all intentional :3)

ReiHitch's relationship was planted there from the begging, only vaguely. It developed A LOT in the past few years, and now they serve as a parallel to AruAni, a window to what they could possibly have in the future.

Then we have the fun trio there– Jean, Sasha, and Connie were episodic comic relief characters at first, before i mingled in and gave them some Backstories (to be read as traumas. we'll delve into that soon i promise). The latter two becoming such close friends with Armin wasn’t planned either, but their friendship unfolded rather naturally– or so i'd like to think. Also I warmed up to writing Pieck! She has a lot more scenes now than I had originally planned.

Also, Historia and Bertholdt weren’t in my first outline, they just spawned there when the story needed them most. But I'd like to believe they played they role well, and they will appear again later on in the story, along with a secret third character that hasn’t been mentioned yet! :3

Armin’s story changed too, but only briefly. But that will fully unfold in a couple of chapters, so I can't really say much about that. Annie’s didn’t– her backstory was the part I saw most clearly.

To sum it up, yes, i planned most of WPTS from the very first draft– it’s the subplots and characters' dynamics that has changed. The subtilities. The little details and nuances.

I only learnt today by accident that Drew was voiced by Mitsuki Saiga (while researching something unrelated) and I feel my entire worldview was shattered, but it makes so much sense at the same time.

Yes!! I love her voice for him, so cool...a kid who really has it together.

It adds a whole new side to the character if you're just familiar with English Drew. I love them both, but he comes off much more obnoxious in the English dub imo sdfg

A lot of her roles seem to be more 'masculine' ladies or more 'feminine' guys and it's just so good. absolutely perfect voice casting..

it had been her idea, initially. hitch insisted that marlo should loosen up && try to ❛ not be so damn boring all the time ❜. he rolled his eyes at her then, politely declining her invitations to the various social events on && off campus; but he conceded to a final proposal of a ❛ movie-date-that's-absolutely-not-an-actual-date ❜. they agreed on his place, for saturday night. she had gone ahead && picked the movie: SPIRITED AWAY // marlo had gone ahead && made dinner ( she didn't know he could cook ).

it was fun.

that surprised her. what surprised her even more was when marlo suggested that they do it again. . .

it became something customary. on saturdays, she would saunter over to marlo's && make herself at home. they decided to take turns picking the movie. they wanted different things. hitch liked glamour, camp, romance, && happy endings // marlo liked the classics ( good && bad ) regardless of how they ended. sometimes, they would argue over petty things. marlo talks too much, && she had to resist the urge to clamp a hand over his mouth multiple times during THE PRINCESS BRIDE // whereas hitch made the mistake of falling asleep during THE GODFATHER, && accidentally getting drool on the couch ( marlo took more offence to the former ).

but it was always fun.

the titular song plays, as credits roll onscreen in a soft shade of pink ( her favourite colour ). she's curled up, cat-like, in the velvety arm of his sofa && shifts her weight against the abundance of decorative pillows -- some stolen from the other's side. marlo seems equally content, despite his own lack of pillows. he's been unusually quiet for some time now.

❝ you know, someday i want a pretty red cocktail dress just like the one in the movie... what do you think? actually, don't answer that. you probably don't know anything about women's fashion. you hardly know anything about women. ❞

she expects a comeback of sorts; when hitch peers over her shoulder, marlo is watching her with an unreadable expression. had she unintentionally offended him?

❝ hey, hey, i was joking! if anything, you seem like the type of guy who would also buy a girl everything on the menu if he didn't know what she liked! ❞

he continues to study her, with a growing intensity. did she somehow make it even worse? music fades into a slow ballad; a stark contrast to the tempo of her heart. hitch doesn't know how or when her lips part ( a gentle invitation ) but they do. maybe they don't always want different things. her eyes close. she can feel the other's warm breath on her face... && then just like that, the moment is gone.

hitch is almost certain that marlo never changed his default ringtone; it's loud ( && painfully annoying ). embarrassment creeps up on her, heating her face && staining her cheeks. she looks away.

❝ what the hell! i thought you always kept your phone on silent! i guess you'd better answer it... ❞ she huffs.

see the thing is. this guy's obviously insane and it feels like the game wants me to kill him or at least see him as villainous but the only people he's killing are raiders. raiders do this shit all the time too. they're less creative but i find bodies strung up all over the place in raider dens constantly. and i have personally killed probably hundreds of them myself by now. he's doing weird shit with the bodies afterward but he's really not doing anything worse than i am. i couldn't really find it in me to judge him i just let him be sfdklgj

look at this. i scrounge up clean nice pillows for everyone and they all just shove them to the side or knock them on the floor. zero appreciation

oddly this settlement is rarely unhappy while my much nicer ones are Always complaining. maybe because there's only like 2 people living there

this lunchbox says stan! have they all had names this whole time and i never noticed. who was stan. id collect them but they don't register as distinct items so the names probably don't stay on them when you pick them up (i collect lunchboxes anyway though) (i collect everything fallout 4 is a horrific enabler of my hoarding tendencies jsdfs)
