Comparing golden hour part 1 to previous comebacks I agree that it’s one of ateez’s weakest albums. Especially seeing the run of iconic songs just from Guerrilla-Halazia-Bouncy-Crazy Form. But I think that was the point honestly.

After knowing that the World Series according to HJ marks the midpoint of the storyline, work era felt like an intermission. I saw someone describe it as good filler and I totally agree. It wasn’t lore heavy (not to say there weren’t Easter eggs but y’know the revolution is over rn). Like I’m pretty sure Ateez themselves wouldn’t say this comeback is one of their favs. But it still did really well, the MV recently hit 61M views and has over a 110k posts about it on TikTok. Which is the most an ateez song has gotten, even more than bouncy. Honestly it’s kinda still trending after 6 months.

And I will say this album was for the Latinos and the Mexicans y’all won for work era. My favorite song is definitely Empty Box, I hope we get more live performances of it. So good, gets me in my feels everytime. Not to mention I became an atiny in September so work era was a big check point for me.

So goodbye Work Era, you’ve done your job. And now we start to usher in a new Era, Golden Hour Part 2.
