If you're newer to genetics and working within CAS, a great way to organize everything for you, is by using Tidy CAS Organizers. What it does is simply categorize all of the items you use in CAS in order for it to be organized neatly! For example? Got a ton of freckles? Use this mod to organize it for you, so when creating a sim, simply click on "freckles" to see the many swatches of the ones you have! It just makes life, easier and we love that, right?

This group of organizers comes with 59 individual categories

Please note - due to different presets and shaders, these organizers can look different. For example, if you’re using my preset Moon Milk, many of the lighter swatches will be unable to be seen, or very washed out. Tidy CAS 2.1 - CAS category organizers

💜 How does it work?

This CC creates basically an empty CAS item with the whole purpose to mark when a new category starts. This can be useful if you have a lot of skin details for example and don't know which ones work together as EA has not separated the parts (e.g. forehead crease, freckles) into separate categories. This CC is not meant to be applied to a Sim and has no texture or model.

as promised, i've made a resource list to accompany my newest video after a 3 year long youtube hiatus! This video is about how I make my sims in cas! please note that these are my *personal* favorite cc creators, not every single creator. So if someone is not mentioned, charge it to my mind and not my heart cause WHEW I got 280+ gb in my CAS folder ALONE, so forgive me if I've left someone out. Dean's head was turned away when Castiel pushed the door open. And honestly, even if it wasn't, there hadn't been enough time for him to react. So he did nothing, just lay there on the covers of his bed, one arm casually under his head, the other resting on his stomach. Cas noticed the hand was rising and falling along with Dean's breath. He stared for a while at the wide, strong palm with a little scar on the thumb and always clean and tidy cut nails. No matter what, wendigo in the woods or grave digging all night, Dean always took care of his hands. Cas liked that about him.

If asked, Sam would tell him, that this was part of the job hygiene, learned the hard way, and not without some casualties. But Castiel never thought of asking Sam.

So Castiel was busy watching Dean's fingers, and it took him a while to realize, that he himself was being watched too. Dean's gaze darkened, or maybe it was his face paling a little as he was looking straight into Cas' eyes. Something about his posture changed to less relaxed, fingers on his stomach were rising and falling slightly faster as his breath quickened.

That was when Castiel recalled that damn discussion they'd been having from time to time. The concept of privacy, personal space, and all those things Castiel really didn't get and didn't bother to learn about. He hadn't knocked before walking in, so now he briefly closed his eyes and braced himself for yet another slightly annoyed speech. He didn't like being told off. On the other hand, he did enjoy observing Dean in those moments – looking so commanding and in charge, his back straight and voice firm. Castiel imagined him using this tone talking to misbehaving children if he had any. The angel had to make a conscious effort to suppress a smile. It wouldn't be appropriate in the current situation.

But this time Dean didn't say anything about privacy. In fact, he didn't say anything at all, still looking at Cas with anxious eyes as if expecting a blow. That was strange and unpleasant. Why would Dean think that Castiel might do anything like that to him? The angel frowned and took in a view of his lover in the dim light of his bedroom one more time. Lying on his back, not wearing much clothing except for his favorite old t-shirt and… And… Oh. That was something new.

At first, Castiel thought that the lingerie was simply too small for Dean. He needed a second to realize his mistake: it didn't look like anything he encountered in any male underwear drawer. They were pink panties, for ladies, with a little bow in the middle. That was interesting. Involuntarily, Castiel moved slightly forward to look closer at the shape the undergarment took on Dean's body.

Audibly shaky breath made him pause. Dean was still looking at him, frozen, his gaze intense and somehow… scared. Castiel connected the dots. It was something about this underwear that made Dean so guarded. But why? He searched through information concerning human culture he had gathered over the years.

Humans were extremely sensitive when it came to their gender. Mistaking someone's sex for another was almost always offending and embarrassing. So maybe this was it. Castiel sighed. He would never understand what the fuss was all about. Male, female, something else, who cares? Plus, he clearly remembered wearing a female vessel some years before, and it was… nice. Soft and delicate in some parts and firm and powerful in others… Such a potential, though looking so fragile and light.

If this was what bothered Dean, Cas had to tell him… But Dean spoke first.

“I hope you don't mind…”, he started but trailed off.

Cas was still studying the panties, which seemed to fill out in the meantime… Finally, his vessel's hormonal system helped. After several moments of awkward silence, he realized that his breathing quickened as well, and it was uncomfortable wearing so many layers… Suddenly, without thinking about it, he knew what to do and what to say.

“Not at all.” He smiled and slowly licked his lips before adding, “Would you accept a little help with…” He cut himself off, pointing to the object of interest.

Dean looked down at himself, then back up at Castiel and smiled. It was a genuine, slightly mischievous grin that was so rare on his face that Cas caught himself staring again. It made Dean look younger and less tired, and Cas swore to himself that he was going to bring it on Dean's lips as often as possible.

Before Castiel was done thinking, Dean was up, closing the distance between them. He put his hands on Cas' shoulders and helped him shrug off his trench coat and jacket. Then he proceeded to loosen his tie and unbutton his shirt. Cas smelled Dean’s hair and put one finger under his chin to make him look up. Once their eyes met, the angel closed his lips around Dean's mouth and slid both hands down his back to finally grab his buttocks and feel the panties that proved to be silky in touch. Slow circular movements resulted in Dean gasping into Castiel's mouth and pressing himself closer to his, now naked, chest. The angel hummed low and broke the kiss. Dean took in a gulp of air, and the sound of him exhaling against his ear sent shivers down Castiel's spine. Sliding his hands back up, under Dean's t-shirt, the angel felt firm muscles and well-formed shoulder blades. He traced their shape with his fingertips, and it was Dean's turn to tremble. When the t-shirt joined the shirt, tie, and jacket on the floor, Castiel made an attempt to remove the rest of his clothing. He had some difficulties with his belt, too distracted to remember how the damn thing worked. Then he felt Dean's fingers on his hands, and for a moment he forgot about breathing, hearing only the rush of his blood and seeing dark dots before his eyes.

When he recovered somewhat, he felt fabric sliding down his thighs and a carnal sense of freedom. Dean hummed approvingly and murmured into his ear, following the pattern Castiel set:

“I will be happy to help you as well.”

Hearing a playful smirk in his voice, Cas pushed Dean onto the nearest wall and busied himself kissing every inch of his neck, feeling the heat of a human body and those manicured fingernails scratching his back.

After a while, Dean opened his eyes and cupped Castiel's face in both hands. His kiss was firm and steady. As was his body when he turned around nimbly in Castiel's arms, pressing his back against the angel's chest and resting his cheek on the wall. He glanced at Cas over his arm, waiting. Castiel sobered immediately.

“Dean… you sure…?”

“Sure.” Came the firm answer promptly. “Would you…”

And Castiel did.

i imagine you get this question a lot but how do you keep all your custom content organised? do you have a neat and tidy set up or is it more of a fuck it we ball approach? i ask because trying to sort through files and keeping everything in order stresses me out beyond measure and is a big reason as to why i don't mess with custom content that much. how on earth do y'all manage. i need to know what y'all folder set ups are 😭

My folders are pretty well organized, for the most part.

I use this method for Sims4Studio to organize everything within CAS. I've got most of my stuff organized alphabetically by creator name, but some stuff I have broken down into type/function instead. (Like the Hat section I have organized by function--so all baseball caps are grouped together, all witch hats are together, etc.)

Tidy CAS Category Organizers also help immensely.

CAS ORGANIZERS "SPA"

Decidí crear mi propia versión de los Tidy CAS en español, ya que me di cuenta de que hay muchas versiones muy bonitas y diferentes PERO, todos en inglés y los pocos que hay en otros idiomas es en ruso y chino.

Considerando que la comunidad Simmer hispanohablante es muy grande, me pareció una buena idea crear un categorizador en español para mayor comodidad.

¿En qué consiste?

Consiste en la aparición de un elemento en el CUS "Crear Un Sim" que sirve como señalero para indicar el comienzo de una nueva categoría en las diferentes opciones de personalización del CUS, en especial en la sección de "Detalles de la Piel". Con este mod todos los elementos que están en la sección de "Detalles de la piel" estarán separados y serán fácilmente distinguibles.

¿Cómo lo añado?

¡Como cualquier mod! Coloca una de las opciones de archivo Package (OJO: Solo elige una de las opciones) en tu carpeta de Mods y listo.

Hi, I love your profile and sims! I’m ‘kind of’ new to the sims world! I’ve been playing since 2018, but not religiously. I just wanted to ask about your mods folder (sorry if it states somewhere on your profile these kind of questions aren’t allowed, i’m new to tumblr too and still understanding how it works). Feel free to ignore this question if it’s not allowed. I understand that by having lots of folders within the mods folder it can make the game lag. I just wanted to ask how your mods folder looks? As I want to keep mine tidy and be able to find certain cc easily. I’m also in the process of buying a pc as I am currently using a macbook and have so much cc it’s starting to not work… If you have any tips or suggestions with having a pc (if you have one yourself) and how your set up looks, I would really appreciate it. How I organize my mods folder

Hi! No problem at all! :) Here's a look inside my mods folder (main).

I usually organize my own folders by type/category, then by subcategory or creator. For example, I have separate folders for build items, objects, and cas cc (such as clothing and hairstyles) from certain creators from whom I have many sets.

Just a friendly reminder to never go deeper than five subfolders!

For some categories, I prefer to organize my subfolders by function (accessories, overrides, face and body related content…).

Also, I prefer unmerged files because I find it easier to replace outdated or broken files, and it makes troubleshooting easier.

As for my PC specs, you can find them here. I always play on the highest possible settings (including gshade) and my game takes less than 1 minute to load (my mods folder is currently 45 gb). Overall, I'm very happy with my PC and highly recommend it.

Tidy CAS Organizers

If you're newer to genetics and working within CAS, a great way to organize everything for you, is by using Tidy CAS Organizers. What it does is simply categorize all of the items you use in CAS in order for it to be organized neatly! For example? Got a ton of freckles? Use this mod to organize it for you, so when creating a sim, simply click on "freckles" to see the many swatches of the ones you have! It just makes life, easier and we love that, right?

Please note - due to different presets and shaders, these organizers can look different. For example, if you’re using my preset Moon Milk, many of the lighter swatches will be unable to be seen, or very washed out so I highly suggest using the black and white swatched ones to be able to have them seen.

Hi, I love your profile and sims! I’m ‘kind of’ new to the sims world! I’ve been playing since 2018, but not religiously. I just wanted to ask about your mods folder (sorry if it states somewhere on your profile these kind of questions aren’t allowed, i’m new to tumblr too and still understanding how it works). Feel free to ignore this question if it’s not allowed. I understand that by having lots of folders within the mods folder it can make the game lag. I just wanted to ask how your mods folder looks? As I want to keep mine tidy and be able to find certain cc easily. I’m also in the process of buying a pc as I am currently using a macbook and have so much cc it’s starting to not work… If you have any tips or suggestions with having a pc (if you have one yourself) and how your set up looks, I would really appreciate it. Regarding my Mods folder, the most important thing for me is to have subfolders named as creators. It looks something like this

The only thing that I have named and separated differently are these folders where I insert mostly mods with scripts and this last subfolder where mostly all creations related to arranging Sims in Cas.

I hope this will help you to organize your Mods folder at least a little🤍

As for my PC Setup, I made it with the help of a worker in a computer shop. I told him roughly what I need it for, what I use it for the most, and I told him that I wanted a slightly stronger computer.

Tidy CAS update Info

So first of all - Yes I am planning on keeping my Tidy CAS updated for a long time.

Secondly:

I am currently still waiting on a S4 Studio update.

I have enabled the files for infants with the tutorial of @aridridge.

Also I was able to fix a lot of categories with the issue of the Organizer appearing after content with the help of @cobalior. (Left arm scar being one of the currently unfixable ones)

However, before posting an update I want to include medical wearables and the new skin details too, so I am waiting for an Update of Studio.

They are currently not properly categorized in Studio.

The old organizers are still working fine, just lacking categories for the new things I mentioned.

The Sims 4 CC Wrench replacement 🔧➡️✨

Hi everyone ✨

I made the cc wrench override. The "CC Wrench" will replace the blue wrench banner on CC thumbnails in CAS and Build/Buy mode, CC color swatch and Gallery post.

The green sparkle in part 1 and 2 are the same file. ✨

In Part 2 I just add more color of Sparkle for match with Tidy CAS / CAS Organizers by Ravievy
