Fandom: The Adventure Zone
Ship(s): Taakitz
Characters (lee/ler): Lee!Taako/Ler!Kravitz
Word Count: 1631 words
Summary: Kravitz is a bit too smart for Taako's own good. Taako should know by now that he can't keep secrets from Kravitz.
[ao3 link]
-------------------------------------------
It wasn’t fair how smart Kravitz was, in Taako’s extremely humble opinion.
It seemed like he could see through anything and everything. He had managed to dig up almost all of Taako’s secrets and slip through all his lies, white or not, and he had done it with such grace and gentleness that Taako couldn’t even be mad at him. In fact, it was almost disgustingly romantic, how he could see past Taako’s walls so easily.
But there were still a few secrets Taako held closely to his chest. A few secrets from their hundred years of plane-hopping, a few secrets he promised friends he’d keep (and as much of an asshole Taako knew he was, he kept his promises), and a few secrets of his own that he couldn’t bear to part with just yet.
Most of which were just painfully silly.
And one of which, Taako was beginning to think was more trouble than it was worth to keep.
A guy had cravings, after all. Cravings that Kravitz could easily solve with a few wiggling fingers and a handful of teasing words, or vice versa on some days. And it wasn’t like Kravitz had never tickled him, or that he had never tickled Kravitz, but it was always painfully brief. It left him feeling more starved than if he hadn’t had the playful contact at all.
But Taako was nothing if not prideful. There was nothing that would get him to admit it.
Well, almost nothing.
Because Kravitz was smart, as previously stated, and unfairly so. Kravitz picked up on Taako’s behavior. Kravitz was good at learning what made Taako tick. It was only natural that Kravitz would pick up on his little quirk eventually, try as he might to hide it.
So when Kravitz pulled back from his most recent tickle-attack (that Taako may or may not have deliberately provoked him into), eyeing Taako with a calculating look, Taako knew he was in trouble.
“I’m not so sure I should reward you for bad behavior,” Kravitz said.
Taako swallowed insteading of jumping straight into his defense, trying to keep himself from stuttering nervously. “Reward? You think that torture is a reward?” He asked.
Kravitz frowned, though there was a glint in his eye and one of his dimples was jumping. “I suppose I read your reactions wrong, then. Though, if it really is torture for you, I won’t do it anymore. I’ll have to find another playful punishment for you.”
A wounded noise escaped Taako before he could contain it. He slapped a hand over his mouth, eyes wide, and felt his cheeks flush. Kravitz looked down at him and raised an eyebrow.
“That is what you want, isn’t it, Taako?” He said. “I wouldn’t want to torture you.”
Taako pressed his lips together in a thin line, huffing through his nose. He had just dug his own grave. Now he had two options: tell Kravitz the truth, or live the rest of his days under this lie and never get tickled by his boyfriend again.
And oh, how he wanted to be tickled by Kravitz. He had musician’s fingers, long and nimble. They could do wicked things to Taako, things that he spent hours daydreaming about. Taako watched as they tapped in a staccato rhythm against Kravitz’s knee, teasing and tempting. Kravitz knew exactly what he was doing.
But Taako was a stubborn elf. If his secret was going to be out, it was going to be out on his terms. He would not blush at Kravitz’s teasing. He was not giving in. It was simply… time to show his hand, so to speak. So Taako jutted out his chin, defiant and proud in the falsest of ways, and refused to hide behind his hands as he so desperately wanted to. He let his fingers twist into his skirt, the only outward sign of his anxiety, to keep his hands firmly in his lap.
“I don’t hate it,” Taako eventually managed to force out.
Kravitz raised an eyebrow. “Oh? So you lied to me?”
Taako bit his lip. “Just a little.”
Kravitz crossed his arms, eyebrow still infuriatingly raised. “I’m not sure I should reward you for that behavior, either.”
Taako deflated, slumping into the couch and whining. He finally gave in, bringing his hands up to cover his flushing face, though he knew his red ears would give him away. He heard Kravitz chuckle and he curled into himself even further.
“Oh, come now, dear, don’t be like that. Maybe if you ask nicely, you’ll get what you want.”
Taako groaned and slipped further down the couch. He felt Kravitz shift on the couch, and Taako assumed he had turned toward Taako expectantly. Taako swallowed his pride.
“More, please?”
“More what, dear?”
Taako’s hands flew off his face. “Goddammit, Krav, just tickle me!”
Kravitz huffed. “I should make you ask nicely, but…”
Before Taako could process it, Kravitz had pulled his legs up so he was lying lengthwise on the couch and straddled his lap to pin him. Taako yelped and raised his hands in defense, but Kravitz quickly grabbed them and pulled them off to the side, out of the way. Taako’s eyes went wide as he gazed up at Kravitz.
Kravitz smirked. “Now that we’re past that stage of things, why don’t you tell me where you’d like to be tickled?”
Taako choked, his eyes practically bulging out of his head. Kravitz’s smirk stretched into a grin and a shiver went down Taako’s spine.
“Well? I can’t tickle you unless you tell me.”
Taako desperately wished he could cover his face. His ears flicked in embarrassment as he wiggled and squirmed under Kravitz, tugging on his captive arms. He had no escape.
Then again, he did ask for this.
“Stomach?” He practically whispered.
Kravitz’s free hand immediately travelled to his belly, untucking his shirt and slipping under it without hesitation. Taako was squealing before Kravitz’s hand even touched down. His body jolted when Kravitz started scratching at his stomach, his struggling and tugging on his arms getting even more weak.
Taako was a wizard, okay. He couldn’t be expected to break out of Kravitz’s grip, and especially not under these circumstances.
“You’re adorable like this,” Kravitz said over his laughter. “I don’t know why you tried to hide it for so long.”
Taako wanted to tell Kravitz to shut up, but he was sure that would earn him another bout of I shouldn’t reward you for that, so he wisely kept his mouth shut. Metaphorically, at least. Physically, his mouth was open in a bright, giggly grin, and he had no hope of keeping it shut any time soon.
Taako half-wished he could roll off the edge of the couch, but Kravitz’s legs kept him firmly in place. He writhed like a worm under the single hand Kravitz had on his stomach, the touch just dancing along the line of “too light.” The sparky, zinging sensations could be delicious in their own way, of course, but they were a very specific kind of torture, and Taako wasn’t sure if he could handle that on top of all the teasing. Then, Kravitz’s touch lightened even further as he wiggled his fingers against Taako’s lower belly, and Taako arched his back with a high-pitched squeal.
“No no no!” Taako squealed, kicking his legs. “Please, please!”
Kravitz laughed above him. “What? I thought you wanted this!”
“Too light!” Taako cried out.
Kravitz laughed again, only lightening his touch further. “What, dear? Can’t take it?”
Taako’s giggles were frantic and bubbly and borderline hysterical. It was absolutely wonderful, but he could hardly stand it. He felt like he was going to crawl out of his skin with how badly it tickled.
“More, please!” Taako shrieked, barely capable of words with all the sensations zinging around in his brain.
“Since you asked so nicely,” Kravitz said. “Pick a new spot.”
Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), Taako’s brain was beyond fried and distracted. Stupidly, he couldn’t help but blurt out his worst weakness.
“Ribs!”
Taako went from bubbly giggles to shrieking cackles in a matter of seconds. He arched his back, trying instinctively to buck Kravitz off of him with no success. Not that he necessarily wanted to succeed.
Kravitz’s blunt nails scratched against each rib on one side, while his fingers gently vibrated in between them on the other. The conflicting sensations wreaked havoc on Taako’s nerves. Tears of mirth sprung to Taako’s eyes as he cackled and he tugged fruitlessly on his arms to try and pin them to his sides.
“How’s that?” Kravitz asked, and though his tone was teasing, Taako knew he meant the question genuinely.
Taako could only nod in response. It was perfect. It sated the hunger that had been under his skin for so long, and Taako could practically feel the sparks of joy shooting through his chest. Or maybe that was just the ticklish jolts consuming his entire ribcage.
It was a few more long minutes before Kravitz slowed his fingers, releasing Taako’s wrists to reach up and wipe away his laughter-induced tears while his other hand continued gently skittering around his torso. The light tickling wasn’t quite so unbearable this time, at least not as a cool-down. If he kept at it for too long, Taako was sure he’d be squirming and begging again in no time.
“How are you doing?” Kravitz asked, and Taako opened his eyes to see Kravitz’s large grin.
Taako took a few deep breaths before saying, “More, please?”
Kravitz tossed his head back with a laugh before leaning down to press a quick kiss against Taako’s giggling lips.
“Where to next?”
Taako had a lot more spots in mind before he’d be ready for Kravitz to stop.

Another fic idea! I love ticklish elves for one main reason; big ticklish ears. What about Kravitz or Barry finding out about Taako and Lup having ticklish ears? (I also imagine it's a spot they actually kinda enjoy)
Hey! It’s taken me a bit longer than usual to respond, but I hope you enjoy this! This is set post Story and Song, Kravitz and Taako are married and have two cats, Hades and Persephone, because I love that idea and can’t remember who came up with it.
Title: Cold Cuddles
WC: 648w
Summary: It's cold outside, not even Kravitz with his undead disposition can deny that, and cold leads to cuddling. Which inevitably leads to Kravitz discovering something new about his husband.
{ao3link}
--------------------------------------------------------
Kravitz was enjoying one of the few days off he got from the Raven Queen in his home with the fireplace crackling and the snow falling softly outside. He sighed happily and took a sip of his wine, sprawling across the couch and putting his glass back on the coffee table, revelling in the quiet. One of the cats, Hades, jumped up onto the couch and began determinedly kneading Kravitz’s thigh. Claws dug into flesh and Kravitz shot up and pulled the cat off him, holding him up and frowning at him just as the front door opened and a snow drenched elf walked in.
Taako laughed at his husband who had stopped glaring at the cat and instead looked like a deer caught in headlights, sputtering out an explanation for his staring contest.
“He was -he was clawing me and it was rude!” Kravitz insisted. “His claws were in my leg which is not where they live!”
“Calm down, you’re fine.” Taako said while taking off his winter gear. “How was your day off.”
“Divine. No noise, no necromancers, no nothing. How’s the school going?”
Taako rolled his eyes. “Same as usual, the little shits continue to be a pain in my side. I can’t even get Agnes to come work for me. He wants to finish school ‘cause he’s a nerd.”
“You don’t mean that, dove. You’re full of shit.”
Taako barked out a laugh in response, moving Hades from where he had settled down in Kravitz’s lap and lying between his legs with his head on his chest. Kravitz immediately brought a hand up to pet Taako’s hair, threading his fingers through it to scratch at his scalp. Soft purring rumbled from Taako’s chest as a result and he shifted a little to wrap his arms around Kravitz and close his eyes.
Kravitz loved moments like this. There were no pressing issues at hand and he could just sit and be with his husband, a feeling that he cherished. His hand moved down to rub behind one of Taako’s ears and brushed against it in the process, making it flick and Taako jerk away while trying to hide his blush. Kravitz pulled away, surveying Taako to make sure he wasn’t hurt and noting that the purring had stopped.
“What was that?” he asked.
“Nothing.” Taako mumbled into his shirt. “Ears are sensitive.”
“They are, are they?”
Kravitz lightly dragged his finger over the top of Taako’s ear and he squeaked, flicking it out of his grasp. The reaper thought he had a good idea of what was going on, so he pulled a feather out of his hair and ran it along Taako’s ear, proving his point when the elf yelped.
“I think you might be a bit ticklish, Taako. Would that be right?” Kravitz teased, gently flicking the feather over the tip of Taako’s ear.
Taako snickered at the feeling and buried his face in Kravitz’s chest, ears flicking wildly but still refusing to acknowledge the question. Kravitz got more curious and fluttered it all around Taako’s ear, continuing when Taako squeaked again and started laughing fully.
“O-okay! Krav, that tickles!” he protested uselessly, making no move to escape. Kravitz chuckled when the feather caught a sensitive spot and Taako let out a shout of laughter while trying not to squirm.
“Shihit! That's too much, that tickles too muhuhch!”
“I guess you can have a break…” Kravitz conceded, stopping his attack. Taako lay on his chest, still giggling while his ears instinctively tried to flick the lingering sensations away.
“Ha… you better forget that tidbit, babe…”
“Not a chance.” Kravitz said fondly, pressing a kiss to the elf’s head. “Plus you didn’t even try to stop me.”
Taako muttered something unintelligible under his breath but cuddled up to Kravitz anyway, sufficiently warmed up from the snow and happy to fall asleep on his husband.

I also see ya like TAZ!! Who'd your fav character from each of the campaigns? (And if ya got any headcanons for them 👀) ~@eldritchtickles
I love TAZ!
My favorite character from each campaign, that's tough hmmmm
just kidding its Lup I'm gay.
Seriously though, my favorite character from balance is deffo a tie between Lup and Taako, my favorite from amnesty is probably Minerva and I don't really have a favorite from graduation but it'd probably be the firbolg
as for headcanons...
Taako
I'm fucking here for ticklish wizards, its all of them no one knows why its probably a class feature or whatever
Dude is ticklish as fuck, no question about it, he hates when people know it though. So what a fuckin trip it is when Magnus and Merle need no invitation to tackle him out of nowhere. As much of a hardass as he is about it around groups he cannot hide that he likes it one on one even a little. Kravitz finds out almost immediately after they start dating, mostly thanks to Magnus and Angus.
His worst spot is probably his thighs or his ribs, but you'd never know it since he screams if you even think about going for his ears. He’s pretty screechy about the whole ordeal, cursing out whomever has decided to tackle him and take him down a peg, at least for the first three minutes or so, until he just cant keep it up and just lies there and takes it.
As a ler he is more than fucking ready to waste spell slots on this shit do not test him. Teasing only flusters him but god if he doesn't give whomever he’s tickling the smuggest look he can muster. He is ruthless about his revenge, gotta keep up appearances and all that.
Lup
She's a goddamn monster, however fucking ruthless Taako is Lup is 20x worse. She doesn't even bother wasting spell slots, she just throws people to the ground, she has taken magnus down, there is no escape from her. Her nails are killer, and she knows it.
Being a lich has kinda messed with her sensitivity, she used to be just as ticklish as taako, but now she’s barely ticklish in most places. Her stomach, sides and her ears are pretty much the only places that will really get her laughing now. She is a squirmer, she’ll fight you, and probably get the upper hand before you can even blink.
She loves it, openly, thinks its fun and is a good way to get her more serious team members to open up more, Lucretia. Lup and Magnus are a force to be reckoned with even to each other, they both are total lers, no one is safe from them if they're together.
Magnus
He’s a total teddy bear. No other word for it, he loves tickling his friends but he’d rather stab his foot and stare at the bloody wound than overstep and hurt somebody. He generally stayed away from roughhousing with the crew for the first few years, even longer with Lucretia, Davenport and Barry. he really didn't want to overstep.
That being said, once he’s sure whos comfortable with what, he is unstoppable. God, when he finds out the twins like it, he has a field day! They don't escape his grip for a good 48 hours before he calms down about it. He is very much about lightly pinning and just going to town, it’s his favorite.
The teddy analogy works both ways, dude has the cutest of worst spots. His stomach is killer, his underarms make him curl into a ball. his hands are too worn to be ticklish but his wrists are surprisingly sensitive. (Julia loved that one)
Merle
Terrible old man, horrible. He’s very smug about knowing the starblaster crews spots by heart. No one knows how he knows, or where he got the information, he claims pan gave it to him if asked, but its bullshit. He keeps this knowledge after having his memory wiped, and Lucretia is more than surprised when Merle tweaks her knee before he has his memory back, Merle is equally as confused why the director made a sound like she swallowed a snail when he did it.
It’s equally as confusing for Magnus and Taako when Merle leans back and yells out spots for Magnus to try when he has Taako pinned, especially when they're spots even Taako forgot he had.
He is the only one who even knows Davenport is ticklish, and he has been sworn to secrecy (something he takes very seriously).
Lucretia
Starblaster baby, she’s the youngest of them of course she is a target for tickle attacks. After the first few years, once she starts warming up to the crew she seals her fate. She leaned into a Magnus hug one too many times and now she will never be respected again.
She is a baby about tickling too, cant take it at all. Her knees are the worst, and she kicks. Lord knows Magnus has gotten a chipped tooth or two from that. Once she loses some of her life in Wonderland she is almost content that her ticklishness fled with her youth, she is proven incredibly wrong once she hires Merle, Magnus and Taako.
She’s they're bloody boss now and they still treat her like their younger sister, if she weren't so endeared she might be mad about it. They poke and prod at her whenever they get the chance, try and get her to break her serious facade.
Davenport
No one but merle even knows he’s ticklish, and he will keep it like that. That is not a promise it’s a threat.
Barry
For a dude with so many classes, he can’t defend himself for shit. No one even tried to see if he was ticklish for the first few years. Lup, of course, tried first and scored the absolute jackpot.
He is the most ticklish person on the starblaster crew, rivaling Taako, and he absolutely had to pay the price for that. Up until he became a lich along with Lup he was one of the number one victims of tickle attacks.
As a lich, he is not ticklish. however, unlike Lup, in a human vessel, he is almost more ticklish than before, to the point that is almost unbearable. The others really had to ease up on him after that, because it would get overwhelming. They still sneak in pokes here and there but only every once and a while.
After losing his memory the sensitivity was something he had to deal with a lot, not just in the sense of tickling, everything felt more, which became overwhelming occasionally.
Angus
Baby boy, baby. He is absolutely a walking tickle spot. He very much does not like it though. He is the worlds best detective, he’s also 10 but that's less important.
He knows its a important bonding tool for Taako, Magnus and Merle, so he indulges them a little. They know he’s not a major fan, so they lay off him more often than not.  He might grow into liking it more when he’s older and less concerned about being serious, but for now its not his favorite.
He is, however, not above sleuthing out their worst spots and gleefully telling others, though. (such as Kravitz, of whom listens very intently as Angus explains just how much tickling means to Taako, while talking around Taako’s hand trying to get him to be quiet mind you, but that’s not important)
Kravitz
Dude has been dead for a long ass while, he probably used to be ticklish, but he very much isn’t now, much to taako’s chagrin. Even after his heart starts again, he’s not very sensitive at all. You might be able to get him to laugh if you surprise him, his neck and back are just about the only places that could qualify as ticklish, and really only if he’s not expecting it.
He does very much enjoy making Taako laugh though, and takes quite a lot of joy from having such an effective method of doing so. He doesn't really get into tickle fights with anyone else, though he’s interested in why becoming liches had such different affects on Lup and Barry.
I don't have any comprehensive headcanons for amnesty unfortunately.

"(Whatever character you want) had a habit of starting things they couldn't finish" for the meme?
Magnus had a habit of starting things he couldn't finish. He let out a nervous chuckle as Taako rounded the corner, his eyes practically glowing with malicious intent. "Wait, no, let's talk this out!"
"Oh, now you wanna talk, Big Guy? How convenient!" Taako lazily drew the umbrastaff and a dozen glowing iridescent hands swirled toward Magnus.
Selectively corporeal as they were, the mage hands wormed their fingers all over his body and forced boisterous laughter out of him. Magnus squirmed helplessly and dropped to his knees.
Taako brushed his luscious hair off his shoulder and leaned against the staff. "Maybe now you'll think twice before threatening me with sticky fingers, boobuhla."
[Send me an ask with the first sentence of a fanfic and I’ll write the next five.]

OKAY THIS IS RANDOM but i could NOT get this out of my head and needed to tell someone who knew what i was talking about. Set the scene: only a few years after Lup and Barry became liches Lup gets stuck as a lich for some of the year and Taako is being petty. So in an attempt to shove him her hands go through him instead of on him. What Taako discovers is that this tickles really bad. And it's worse on spots that were already ticklish. Cue Lup overjoyed that she found a new way to fuck with people while a lich (while also creating some form of contact) and Taako coming to terms with his new life completely unable to fight back when Lup decides to tickle the shit out of him. That’s all have a fab time with this new information <3
OMG YOUR BRAIN YES
Dudeeee this is a such a good idea I love this. At first they're both super confused and Taako's freaking out because he thinks she did some kind of spell on him. But after that he realizes what's happening and has a brief moment of 'oh shit' before she completely wrecks his shit.
After that it becomes an almost daily occurrence. Sometimes she'll phase her hands through his stomach and just hold them there, which tickles an unfair amount. He can't help squirming and she teases him endlessly about it because 'I'm not even moving them, you're practically tickling yourself'.
Thank you for these wonderful thoughts I appreciate them 🙏

"Looks good on you." and blupjeans ??
Sorry for how terribly late this response is but here you go!!
Lup found herself staring at her own reflection in the mirror again. She'd been doing that an awful lot lately, and she couldn't- or wouldn't- quite articulate why.
"Hey," Barry said, gruffly, coming back from the bathroom to stand beside her and wrap his arms around her. Lup watched his reflection nuzzle into her neck in the mirror until she squirmed, ticklish, away from his kisses. "It looks good on you."
"What, a ratty old t-shirt and sweatpants?" Lup laughed. "I mean, you're not wrong, I'm hot as hell in anything, but this isn't exactly my Most Look Ever, ya know?"
Barry chuckled and nuzzled his nose into her neck again. "Ridiculous. Untrue. You're the hottest t-shirt and sweatpants wearer I've ever seen. You could wear pajamas for the rest of your life and make it work."
Lup turned in his arms to face him now, gazing up at him with soft, affectionate eyes.
"Yeah, babe, I know! I'm not doubting my sexiness, just asking what brought this on," she said lightly.
Barry's face turned more serious suddenly, and Lup regretted asking, knowing that she'd just shot her own attempt at changing the subject before Barry could bring Feelings into their discussion.
"I wasn't really talking about the outfit," he murmured.
"I know," Lup whispered, leaning into his chest.
Her hands moved down her own body, softly caressing the bump at her middle where her stomach was steadily growing rounder and firmer, giving their baby a place to live. Ever since she'd started showing, her reflection kept catching her gaze oddly. It wasn't a bad odd, exactly, but her mind couldn't stop sending error messages saying this wasn't what she looked like and something was off.
"I wanted this. I always wanted this. Why does it feel so weird?" Lup asked, desperate.
"I think pregnancy just feels weird for a lot of people. Your body is different than you're used to. That's not a bad thing, it just takes some getting used to," Barry shrugged. "And for us? I mean, think about it, Loopy. We were basically exactly the same for 100 years. Never aging, never changing all that much. We all got used to being a certain way. 'Course it's gonna feel weird to be different."
Lup shrugged, but the corners of her lips twitched slightly upward.
“You always know what to say,” she sighed, leaning her head affectionately into Barry’s chest.
“Uh, sorry, have you met me?” Barry chucked, and Lup could feel the rumble of it in his chest. “I’m not exactly Mr. Eloquent, hon.”
“To me,” Lup clarified. “You always know what to say to me.”
“Oh.” It was a whisper, accompanied by a gentle kiss to the top of her head. “I mean, uh, pretty sure that took a bit of practice too.”
“Nah. You got me, from day one. I wouldn’t’a said anything back then, but it’s true.”
“You got me from the start too.”
They held each other a moment longer, okay with the silence.
“Oh!” Barry burst, pulling back. “Almost forgot. Taako finished those clothes you wanted him to modify.”
“Hell yeah!” Lup cheered. Taako had been working on transmuting her regular clothes to maternity clothes, but it was fiddly work and she hadn’t realized how soon she’d need it.
“He said they were back in the closet if you wanna check it out,” Barry said, and Lup was already moving to do so.
She pulled out the first thing she saw, a little purple dress, and slipped it on, breath hitching slightly in concern over how it would fit. It wasn’t like Taako had known what her measurements were going to be ahead of time, after all.
But the dress settled nicely over her bump, fitting close but not too tight, and she beamed over at her husband.
“How do I look?” she asked, twirling slightly, completely pleased with herself for the first time in a little while.
“Amazing,” Barry breathed it with the same awe he always did, and Lup couldn’t help but move to kiss him.
“Right back atcha, babe.”

Confidence Set Up
Read on Ao3
Part of The Set Up Series
The Adventure Zone-Balance-Blupjeans (with minor taakitz)
Barry's insecurities shine through after Taako starts dating Kravitz, but Lup is right there to help
There were many things you could not tell about Barry Bluejeans by looking at him.
You could not tell that he enjoyed dissecting animals in his freetime, a hobby picked up when he was a child which instantly labeled him ‘the creepy kid.’ Joke’s on his peers, that hobby led him to the very successful career as a medical examiner he had to this day.
You couldn’t tell that Barry had a thing for death metal, an interest he shared with his to-be-wife. He was already thinking about her as his wife, even though the date of their wedding hadn’t arrived quite yet.
You couldn’t tell that Barry was a very skilled prankster, and liked switching things around for his friends and family as a strange sign of affection, although the real game was waiting to see how long until they noticed. Barry had perfected a straight face for these encounters.
One thing you probably COULD tell about Barry J. Bluejeans was he was an insecure man.
He couldn’t help it. He wore his own insecurity like the clothes on his back. He had never been a particularly attractive person, not overly cute as a kid, average-ly chubby as a teen, and had only filled out so far as he was stocky and a little weathered.
He wasn’t ugly, not really. None of his features were properly shameworthy (not that any real features were shameworthy, but….ugh, that was going down a road he didn’t want to go down.) He was just….average. In his lower moments maybe a bit below average. Always just a bit overweight, never dangerous, but never enough to be in shape. His skin was dry, sunburned easily, and sometimes splotchy. And all that wasn’t even getting into his internal conditions (lactose was his enemy.)
Which. Some of those he could do things about, if he really cared. Sometimes he did, when Taako pushed a facemask on him. But if he cared too much about it, it just made him sad and feeling worse.
But, for the most part, he was able to work through his insecurities. He had a great job, doing what he loved, which not everyone got to do. He had a kick-ass wife-to-be, who was SMOKING hot, smart as a whip, and all around basically perfect, AND who made no doubt that she loved him. He had great friends, a good place to live...overall, he had enough ammo to get his insecurities to turn on their head.
Then, Taako started dating Kravitz. And….his insecurities started growing a little stronger.
Barry had explored the idea that maybe he was bi, a long time ago. He still wasn’t 100% sure, but thinking about it too long spun him in circles, and he had Lup who was all he needed. Still, he could tell Kravitz was conventionally attractive. Like, ridiculously attractive. He was a police officer, and not the donut eating lazy kind, the one who went to the gym regularly and had arms like pythons and abs like a washboard. He had high cheekbones and well cared for skin that shined in the light. His dreads were perfectly twisted and often decorated with beads, or pulled back to show off his neck. He was a snappy dresser, usually in black, but mostly suits, or if he was really casual, sweaters.
He was smart too, he and Lup knew that, even back when they hated him. That had been part of their problem, he was always frustratingly right about things. Now that they knew him, though, they saw his softer side, the kinder side that Taako clearly loved (even though he was still working up the courage to say it,) the kind of dorky side that loved music and even had long philosophical thoughts on death, leading him and Barry into what the twins called “The most depressing double date topic ever.”
He had everything Barry didn’t. And what was worse, he had everything Barry did have as well.
The twins were very different people, but also strikingly similar sometimes, not just in looks but personality. Still, they were a pair of peas in a pod, freakishly hot, surprisingly intelligent, wacky, kind, goofballs, with a sharp temper and razer wits.
So Barry couldn’t really be helped noting the sort of...reflection between their respective boyfriends. He knew Lup loved him and only him, but it was hard not to see, from the outside at least, that Taako was the one who’d actually gotten someone on his level, while Lup had more….settled.
“What do you mean ‘from the outside’?” Lup asked when he tried to verbalize this.
“You know,” he said, “Like, people who don’t know us. If they saw us like, on a double date, there’s hot, hot, hot, ok,” he counted off on his fingers.
Lup scowled, “who cares what they think?”
“I do!” Barry said, “well, sometimes I do.” She still frowned at him as he sighed. “Sometimes I hear things. And they’re just little things, like….like people wondering if I had tricked you, or was secretly rich. Or had a big dick, or SOMEthing.”
Lup smirked, “You do have a big dick.”
“Lup!” He whined, blushing in protest.
Lup chuckled and came over, wrapping her arms around his shoulders, leaning down to kiss him. “I’m not with you JUST because of your big dick,” she said.
He rolled his eyes, “I know, I know,” he said, “I have a great personality.”
She frowned, “Well yeah, you’re kind and smart, which is important,” she said, “But Barry you know I think you’re hot as hell, right?”
He raised an eyebrow, “Now I’m questioning your taste.”
“Look, I’m not going to say I don’t have some bias,” Lup said, pulling him closer to press him up against her. “But I love all of you. Including the way you look.”
“Which one of us needs glasses?” he said, joking, but not joking at the same time.
She scowled, taking his glasses off his face and setting them down. Then she cradled his face, “I love your eyes,” she said, “I love the way they sparkle when you’re interested in something, and most of all when they look at me.” He blushed as she kissed his eyebrow. “I love your cheeks,” she said, pinching them, “I love how red they get when you’re embarrassed or tipsy.” She kissed said cheek. “I love your nose, the cute little button it is, down to the last nose hair.”
“Ew,” he said, but she ignored him and kissed the tip of his nose.
“I love your hair,” she said, “The grey in it makes you distinguished.”
“Old,” he corrected her.
“Did I fucking stutter?” She said, smacking the side of his head. She pet the hair back, sliding her hands to his shoulders, “I love your arms. I love how they feel when you hold me, strong and soft and dexterous all at once,” she ran her hands under his arms to his back, making him squirm as she grazed his ticklish areas. She resolved it with a comforting squeeze, hooking her chin over his shoulder, “I love your fat. No, don’t flinch, it’s a good thing, and I mean it. You’re squishy and warm and...good, so good babe.”
Barry frowned where he couldn’t see. “Is it good, or do you relate it with being good because you have good memories?”
“What’s the difference?” She demanded, a little sharp, though she softened it with circles around his back, “besides, I’ve thought you were hot since I first saw you. Didn’t have memories to confuse it then.”
“You called me a nerd,” he mumbled.
“You are a nerd,” Lup said, kissing his shoulder and letting her hands stray further down, but a nerd with a nice ass,” she patted it fondly.
Barry sighed, “Well at least I know one part you’re definitely not kidding about.”
She chuckled and pulled back, “You’re beautiful, and I’m sorry if you don’t feel that way. And I don’t know what other people think, but I don’t care, because you’re mine. And if anyone is talking bad about you in any way, I will light them up.”
“No, you can’t do that babe,” he said, “We talked about this.”
She just smiled and leaned in, capturing his mouth. He smiled against her lips, melting into her and letting that be his reassurance. He didn’t need anything else, just holding her close.
“Really?” Taako said, walking into the apartment, “In the kitchen? Right in front of my salad?”
Lup only broke away to stick her tongue out at him. “That meme’s OLD dingus.”
“YOU’RE old, goofus!” Taako said, taking off his shoes and jacket.
“We’re the same age!” She said, earning a middle finger from Taako. “Hey Taako, Barry’s hot, right?”
“Way outta your league,” he said, irritated and heading to his room.
Lup gasped in indignation, while Barry laughed, “WE HAVE THE SAME FACE!” Lup yelled at him as he closed his door. Barry didn’t stop laughing, “Asshole,” she muttered.
Barry cupped her cheek, turning her back to him to regain her full attention. She was glad to give it to him, pulling him into a dip and kissing him breathless.

You know i gotta hop in on that Taakitz action!! Perhaps something with cold hands? Either them tickling Taako or Taako issuing retaliation tickles because Kravitz keeps sticking them on his warm body.
Admittedly at first I was like "when would this even be set because I thought his hands warmed up from the power of love" and THEN i remembered that there's at least a few months between the end of the last arc and that line at Carey and Killian's wedding, so there's a good time for this fic to take place lol. So they're dating, but there's no L-word just yet lol.
Also, thank you for the prompt, I loved it!

Fandom: The Adventure Zone: Balance
Ship(s): Taakitz
Characters (lee/ler): Lee!Taako/Ler!Kravitz (brief Ler!Taako/Lee!Kravitz)
Word Count: 1736 words
Summary: Taako would love nothing more than to cuddle close with his boyfriend. Unfortunately, the heat of the kitchen and the chill of Kravitz's hands don't quite mix. Kravitz doesn't intend to give up so easily.
[ao3 link]
------------------------
Taako smiled as he heard the front door open and close, but he didn’t move from his spot in the kitchen. He continued flitting between his pots and pans, preparing dinner, listening as Kravitz completed his routine and made his way through the house. By the time Kravitz made it into the kitchen, Taako had everything on a low simmer.
“Good evening, my dear,” Kravitz said. “Everything smells lovely.”
Taako hid a smile. “It better.”
Taako didn’t move away from the stove, even as he heard Kravitz prowl up behind him. He relaxed back into Kravitzs chest as Kravitz’s hands came up to rest on his hips, humming as Kravitz pressed his lips to Taako’s shoulder.
“How long until dinner is finished?” Kravitz asked, his breath across Taako’s neck sending shivers down his body.
Taako hummed. “A little while. Why?”
He tilted his head to give Kravitz more access as his lips started trailing up Taako’s neck. He finally let the smile show, figuring that Kravitz wouldn’t be able to see it from his vantage point in Taako’s neck.
And then Taako shrieked and jumped away as Kravitz’s hands slipped up under his shirt to brush across his bare skin.
“Taako?” Kravitz asked, his hands still hovering in the air where Taako’s body had just been. “Babe?”
The warmth of the kitchen had soaked into Taako as he had cooked, leaving his skin overheated and sensitive to even a normal temperature. Kravitz’s cold hands felt worse than ice, sending a startling shock through his entire body.
“Cold!” Taako shrieked belatedly, rubbing at his sides.
Kravitz’s shoulders relaxed as he shook his head and chuckled. He started rubbing his hands together, as if the friction would be enough for Taako to let those hands come near him again.
“Don’t you come near me with those,” Taako said.
Kravitz raised an eyebrow, then smirked. “Taako,” he called teasingly, raising his hands as he crept toward Taako. “Come here, dear.”
Taako pointed at Kravitz, backing further away. “Kravitz…”
Kravitz lunged. Taako yelped, a frantic, high-pitched sound he would never admit to making under pain of death, and darted out of his path. Kravitz followed him, chasing him around the kitchen island and towards the dining table.  Whereas Taako had respect for the furniture Magnus had crafted for his and Kravitz’s home, Kravitz seemed to have no such concerns. While Taako ran around the edge of the table, trying to get to the far side, Kravitz pulled himself atop it.
Taako made a desperate bid for the archway leading toward the rest of the house, but Kravitz jumped off the top of the table, tackling Taako to the floor. Taako winced, prepared for pain, but Kravitz had carefully maneuvered them so that he took the brunt of the fall, Taako landing on top of him, back to chest. Taako gasped once he found his bearings, trying to escape Kravitz’s arms, but his grip was sure. He was well and truly stuck.
“Don’t you dare,” Taako said, hoping the grin stretching across his face didn’t come across in his voice. He had to appear stern, after all.
“Don’t what, darling?” Kravitz asked, his fingers teasing at the hem of Taako’s tunic. “I’m just trying to show my lovely boyfriend how much I care about him.”
Taako didn’t get a chance to retort, shrieking as Kravitz’s chilly hands slipped under his shirt once more. Taako squirmed under the freezing touch, grabbing at Kravitz’s wrists and trying to push him away. Kravitz laughed and fought to keep his hands on Taako’s skin.
“Taako-- come on, quit-- just let me--!”
Kravitz grabbed at Taako’s side in an attempt to keep his grip, squeezing at the flesh. Suddenly, Taako was squealing for a whole new reason. He kicked his legs frantically, trying to propel himself out of Kravitz’s grip.
Kravitz laughed again. “It can’t be that cold, Taako, dear.”
Taako didn’t say anything. He was perfectly content to let Kravitz believe that was the issue. If Taako had managed to hide his little weakness from Kravitz for this long, he could manage to hide it a little longer.
Except then, in all their squirming and tussling, Kravitz’s hands kept shifting and moving, squeezing and pinching at places with an unfair amount of sensitivity. It only made him squirm worse, which only led to Kravitz accidentally tickling him more. It was a vicious circle that Taako didn’t know how to escape.
Taako thought he would be able to hold out until Kravitz got bored. It wasn’t like he hadn’t gotten far worse from Magnus or Lup, or even Barry at times. Only then, Kravitz hands landed on his ribs, his nails scrabbling and scratching for purchase against Taako’s skin as he continued to squirm. Taako couldn’t help it, he burst out into squeaking laughter.
“No!” Taako cried out, though it was far too late.
Kravitz’s hands only faltered for a moment, before he let out a low chuckle directly against Taako’s ear, making his ear flick as he let out another squeal. His hands started scribbling against Taako’s ribcage a lot more deliberately, searching out tickle spots.
“I don’t think this about the cold anymore at all,” Kravitz murmured into his ear. “I think someone has been hiding something from me.”
“Kravitz, please!”
“Please what?” Kravitz hummed. “Please… warm up my hands using your warm, ticklish torso? It’d be my pleasure, my dear.”
Kravitz’s scratching nails managed to find Taako’s sweet spot, just above the middle of his ribs, slightly towards the back. Taako nearly screamed, despite the touch being so light and teasing, the buildup and taunting making everything so much more unbearable. He thrashed enough that he was able to escape Kravitz’s grasp at long last, throwing his dignity to the side as he tried to crawl away across the tile.
“Oh, Taako,” Kravitz called, starting to crawl after him. “I don’t think my hands are quite warm enough yet.”
“Don’t touch me,” Taako shouted back, still giggling at the phantom tingles dancing down around his torso.
Taako shrieked when he felt a cool hand wrap around his ankle, slowly tugging him back. The worst part was, Kravitz’s hands did feel warmer. It wasn’t fair. He kicked against Kravitz’s grip, managing to throw him off, and scrambled to his feet. He raced out of the kitchen, and he could hear Kravitz’s footsteps thundering after him.
“Taako,” Kravitz called after him, his voice cajoling and teasing. “Come back! I promise I won’t do it again.”
Taako didn’t need a Zone of Truth to know how big of a lie that was. He could practically feel those wiggling fingers looming over him already, more than prepared to seek out all of Taako’s sensitive spots until he was begging for mercy. Embarrassingly enough, it wasn’t an outcome Taako would necessarily mind, but he had a reputation to uphold, an appearance to upkeep, and despite his care for Kravitz, it still was not something he could give up so easily.
But he wouldn’t have to give up that control if he got Kravitz pleading, first.
Without a thought, Taako switched directions, barrelling toward Kravitz instead of running away. Kravitz yelped, an adorably startled sound that Taako was not blessed with often, and stumbled over himself trying to stop and avoid collision. A new grin rose to Taako’s lips, feral and hungry, and he tackled Kravitz back to the ground.
“Maybe this will teach you to go around sticking your cold, clammy hands on everyone,” Taako said.
He slipped his hands under Kravitz’s own shirt, dragging his nails down Kravitz’s chilly sides. Giggles bubbled out of Kravitz’s mouth even as he raised a hand to cover it, using the other to swat at Taako in a feeble attempt at self-defense. Taako laughed, high and unaffected, and gently pinched around Kravitz’s stomach.
“Perhaps I can be persuaded to be merciful,” Taako said. “If you told me where you’re most ticklish.” He lightened his tickling to let Kravitz respond with more ease.
“I’m not an idiot, Taako,” Kravitz said around his giggles. “I know better than to tell you that.”
Taako harrumphed. “Suit yourself.”
He dug his fingers back into Kravitz’s flesh, climbing up his sides and ribs. Kravitz cried out and tumbled back into laughter. His arms clamped down to his sides in an attempt to halt Taako’s ascent, leaving his laughing face in full view. Taako resisted the urge to swoon.
His eyes crinkled with his laughter, joy clear in every wrinkle. His smile was the most beautiful thing Taako had ever seen, Taako could barely bring himself to look at it since it was so bright. Taako didn’t even have words to describe how musical and magical Kravitz’s laughter was.
A certain L-word came to mind, looking at Kravitz like this. Taako refused to acknowledge it, for the time being.
Unfortunately, this all left Taako very distracted. While his tickling fingers hadn’t stopped, they had slowed considerably. It gave Kravitz ample time to gather his wits about him and slide his hands under the hem of Taako’s skirt. Taako screeched, both at the once-again-freezing hands and the ticklish massage his thighs were suddenly being assaulted with. He almost toppled right off Kravitz’s lap with his cackles, doubling over and ceasing his own tickling to try and push Kravitz off, as unsuccessful as it was.
“Distracted, my dear?” Kravitz asked, focusing his tickling on Taako’s inner thighs and making him gasp for air. “Clearly you don’t understand the position you’re in.”
While he continued tickling at Taako’s thighs with one hand, the other crawled up Taako’s body. Taako cursed how smart he was, how good his memory was, as his fingers quickly found that death spot on his ribs once more. Taako toppled forward, face-planting into Kravitz’s chest as he lost himself to his frantic laughter.
“Unfortunately,” Kravitz said directly into Taako’s ear, making it flick and flinch away from his ticklish breath, “my hands are still very cold. I think it may take a while to warm them up.”
Taako wailed with mirth.
“Good thing dinner won’t be ready for a while yet, hm?”
Taako knew he was in for a long evening. The only thing that would get Kravitz to stop would be his timers going off, and they still had plenty of time left before that happened. Kravitz was going to ruin him.
Taako couldn’t wait.

IPRE Family Fun Day
This has been in my drafts for a while and I thought I’d post it. Once again, asks are always open and chances are I’ve already got what you want in the backlog! Just need motivation to clean it up and send it out on the web.
Title: IPRE Family Fun Day
WC: 1008w
Summary: Cuddle parties are common, but Magnus is bored and what better thing to occupy him than antagonising Taako?
{ao3 link}
------------------------------
The team was gathered in piles around their tiny living room on the Starblaster, draped over mattresses, pillows, and each other. Taako and Magnus were piled up on a mattress next to the couch which had Lucretia, Barry and Lup stacked on it. Merle and Davenport had opted to sit on the same armchair and simultaneously refuse any insinuation that they were enjoying it. This was far from the first time the crew had curled up like this and it wouldn’t be the last if Magnus (and Taako, not that he would admit it) had anything to do with it, Magnus did find himself getting a little bored of sitting in silence. So of course he started doing what he did best: antagonising Taako.
Taako had slumped into Magnus’s side during the evening and looked almost asleep, the low and quiet rumble in his chest betraying his true feelings about their proximity. Magnus hated to interrupt a moment like this, it was rare Taako felt comfy enough to purr, but his inner restlessness demanded it. He gently wormed a hand under his friend’s arm, playing it off as getting into a better position and waited for a moment for Taako to settle down again. When he did, Magnus poked a few fingers into the soft flesh of Taako’s side and wiggled them, pulling away when Taako jerked upright with a yelp.
“Magnus!” he whined, glaring at the fighter who had a huge grin on his face.
“I had a feeling you were ticklish.” Magnus teased. Taako blushed and edged away slightly.
“No idea what you’re talking about Mags.” he retorted.
Magnus caught Lup’s eye from the stack she was stuck in and saw her mouth ‘he’s lying’ to him. He turned back to Taako with a grin, raising his eyebrows as if to say ‘you’ve been caught’. Taako swallowed and shifted away a little, trying to be discreet but failing now that Magnus’s eyes were on him. Rolling his eyes, Magnus pulled Taako into a bear hug leaving the elf sitting between his legs and effectively immobile. Taako screeched in protest but stopped when he realised it wasn’t an assault.
Or at least that’s what he thought.
Fingers began digging into his sides, drawing half-aborted giggles from him as he started to squirm. His struggling was useless against Magnus’s beefy arms and served only to drain his energy faster when he was flipped onto his back and pinned, his assailants hands going straight back to his sides to squeeze and poke.
“Sh-shit! Magnus -ahaha, no, nohoho! Lup, hehelp!” he said between snorts.
Lup shook her head and smiled, dyed pink hair swaying as she did.
“Nah. It’s been a while since I’ve seen you laugh till you cry.” she said with a wicked grin.
“What’s wrong, T? You’re not ticklish, are you? Could that be it? Are you sure this doesn’t tickle?”
Magnus kept teasing, hands having moved to the elf’s stomach in the middle of his sentence. Taako convulsed when digits began prodding and fluttering on his tummy, laughter increasing in volume when hands slipped under his shirt to get to bare skin.
“Fuck! N-noho, please! Please, that tickles -aha! Ahaha!”
Magnus hummed curiously and let one of his hands spider up Taako’s side to his ribs and claw them, digits digging between the bones in patterns. Taako shrieked with laughter, unable to hold anything back at all. A quick glance around the room by Magnus saw that the whole crew was laughing along at the sight, Lucretia even cheekily poking Lup’s side only to be met with a sharp don’t you dare from her victim.
Magnus caught Lup’s eye and squeezed Taako’s ribs again, glancing down at him when he yelped.
“Is this normal?”
“Oh yeah.” Lup nodded, enjoying the show. “His ribs are his worst spot. Clawing them tickles like hell from my experience.”
Magnus moved his other hand up to claw at the other side of Taako’s ribs without even looking. The elf was squirming without abandon now, wheezing through his uncontrollable laughter.
“P-plehehease! Nohot there! Ihit’s so bahad!” Taako pushed out through his giggles. Lup cocked her head to the side and hummed.
“You wanna know how to really get my brother, Mags? There’s a spot just below the middle of his ribs to the back that’s super ticklish.” Lup said, not waiting for a reply. “Get ‘im.”
“Gladly.” Magnus replied, quickly finding the spot and digging in on it. Taako screamed before his laughter went silent and all he could do was thrash under Magnus’s hands as he tickled the living shit out of him. The elf went boneless under him, all energy sapped by the tickling. He just lay there, limp and giggling while Magnus nudged between his ribs.
“Please…” he managed, voice small. “It tickles!”
Magnus finally let up and Taako didn’t even move, still spread out and prone to another tickle attack should one come. He was heaving for breath and true to Lup’s prediction, tears were leaking out of his eyes.
“Are you okay, Taaks?” Magnus asked, concerned. Taako just made a broken noise and weakly slapped a hand on the mattress, rolling onto his side. Magnus made a panicked sound and looked up at Lup.
“Lup I think I broke him. I broke your boy, shit, what do I do?”
“Beg.” Lup replied.
Magnus took the command immediately. “Taako please I’m so sorry did I go too far? Are you okay? Can I get you anything?”
Taako sat up, hugging his sides and glaring at Magnus.
“That was a dick move, my friend.”
Magnus winced. “Can I make it up to you with a back rub?”
Taako looked a little bewildered for a second before catching himself. “It’s not that serious Mags, I can handle a little tickling. But if you’re offering a back rub…?”
Magnus made grabby hands at Taako, who sat himself in front of the fighter as gracefully as he could with still-wobbly limbs.
It wasn’t long before purring rang in the air again.

Note
you know I gotta ask for taz balance for that prompt list >:) also would love to hear more about your ocs!!
who’s the most ticklish character
its a close tie between Taako and Barry, I think Taako ever so slightly in the lead.
who’s the character that most people would assume is ticklish, but actually isn’t
Kravitz, he looks so wreckable, but alas, he is dead.
who’s the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles
Lucretia, for sure, especially during the stolen century, she was the youngest and for sure the number one person to go bully.
who’s the character that somehow knows everyone else’s tickle spots and reveals them to others
merle, enough said.
who’s the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about
both Lup and Taako have ticklish ears, but I've always been of the opinion that elves are very protective of their ears, so only one another really know about each others ears, the rest of the starblaster crew figures it out eventually, but its much much later, if not far after the plot of balance.
who’s the most likely to win gang tickle wars
Magnus, he is the resident tickle monster, he cannot be beat, only Lup can even compare and she loses to him more than anyone else.
which character has a kink for tickling
oh you KNOW its taako baybee, have you seen that fucker there is no way he cant.
which character didn’t even know they were ticklish until another character tickled them
probably angus, though I don't think he's all to comfy with it, he's too caught up in wanting to be serious. though it was a surprise when he first learned it.
which two characters have tickle fights all the time
the twins 100%, taako had no idea what to do with himself when Lup was gone.
also, I dunno if you want a full thing for my ocs, but quick couple fun facts under the cut:
Nyx's hips are insanely ticklish, they cannot handle it even a little, they kick like mad when they really get got.
Naevius has really ticklish knees, his laughter goes completely silent and he turns to jello when he's tickled there.
Laurel finds Nyx's ticklishness incredibly amusing, xe are more than happy to exploit the fact that Nyx loves it.
Nadege is a trans woman, and i love her deeply.
Nadege, unlike every other wizard ever is not particularly ticklish, she lords this over her siblings masterfully.

hi! how do you feel about 61 for blupjeans on that newest prompt list?
“I told you not to fall in love with me,” Lup said through the artichoke dip that she had shoved in her mouth a second before Barry had walked into their kitchen. It was three in the morning, and his human eyes could only see the shape of his wife by the harsh light of the still-open refrigerator. Her shoulders had been hunched and it had looked like she was going to book it, but when she realized who he was she had just started laughing, almost choking on the dip.
Barry moved over to pat her on the back, rubbing circles across her thin nightshirt while placing a kiss against her temple. “Well, you told me that over a hundred years ago, I must have forgotten.” She laughed again, finally swallowing the dip before hopping up onto the counter. “That, or I didn’t ever expect to see my hot coworker at her most goblinoid form. Could be either of the two.”
Lup closed the refrigerator’s door with a mage hand, pulling Barry into the space between her legs, and in the last bits of light before the room went dark he could see a faint reflected glow in her eyes. “I don’t regret it, though. For the record.”
She leaned forward to kiss him, light and easy and simple after everything, and he laughed and pulled back a couple inches after a moment. “I love you, Lup, I really do, but you also taste like sour cream, spinach, and old socks.”
“Old socks? I do not.” She tapped his thigh with her foot, and even though he couldn’t see it he was sure that she was making a suitably offended and dramatic expression.
“Hate to tell you, babe, but you kinda do. How old was that?”
He felt her sides pull up and down in a shrug. “I dunno, I found it in the fridge. Can’t be that old, though, I’m pretty sure it was from the night that Taako and Kravitz were both planning on proposing, which was...fuck, was that a couple weeks ago?” There was an exaggerated bleh as she stuck out her tongue. “Gotta get some more of that.”
Barry smiled, absentmindedly running his thumbs over her skin. She squirmed, a bit ticklish, and squeezed his shoulders in return. “I’m going to Fantasy Costco tomorrow, I could pick us up some?”
“Uh, babe, who do you think I am? Best chef in a hundred and two universes doesn’t do Fantasy Costco artichoke dip, not when I can whip that shit up at home.”
“A lot of effort for a midnight snack.”
“You know it, I don’t do basic.” There was a smile in both their voices. “If you’re there, though, could you pick me up some more Fantasy Ritz? Kravitz’s birds keep eating all of our stock.”
“Got it. Now, is it time to go head back to bed, or do you plan on staying up until four snacking on leftover mac ‘n cheese?” Lup hummed, before hopping off the counter and looping her arm through Barry’s.
“Not that that’s not tempting, but I do think there’s something else I’d rather eat.”
Barry let out a snorting laugh, aiming a kiss at Lup before letting her lead them through the dark apartment. “How could I say no to such a request?”

The adventure zone? For the ask game
Omg yesss
. Who's the most ticklish character?
can I say all of them
Ahhhh probably either Taako or Barry. Honestly, it should be a crime to be as ticklish as they are, I have no idea how either of them survive.
. Who's the character that most people would assume is ticklish, but actually isn't?
Okay, so none of them aren't ticklish, but Lup is probably the least ticklish out of all them, and Taako and Barry are both constantly disappointed by this fact.
. Who's the character that everyone gangs up on and tickles?
Taako (because you kind of have to gang up on him to tickle him, or else he can use his magic to get you back), but also Angus, because no one can resist the opportunity to see the normally serious boy giggling his little heart out.
. Who's the character that somehow knows everyone else's tickle spots and reveals them to others?
Fucking Merle, the ass, he has so much intel on everyone, and everyone makes sure not to piss him off because of it. Also, he's not above casting Zone of Truth when tickling someone to find out which methods work most effectively.
. Who's the character with one specific tickle spot that only one other person knows about?
Carey's tail is ticklish and Killian's been sworn to keep it a secret to the grave.
. Who's the most likely to win gang tickle wars?
Taako for sure. Magic gives him a huge advantage, and he will absolutely use it to pin multiple people down and tickle them for him. Meanwhile, he just sits back and watches the show~
. Which character has a kink for tickling?
….Jenkins.
. Which character didn't even know they were ticklish until another character tickled them?
Lucretia didn't realize she was ticklish until she was introduced to the crew of the Starblaster, and with it, Tickle Monster Magnus. She learned to be a lot more on guard after that.
. Which two characters have tickle fights all the time?
Carey & Killian, those two are competitive as fuck, as well as Avi with literally anyone who will let him.
-
Thanks for the ask!

Taako is ridiculously good at tickling whether it be a planned attack or a spontaneous one. Also Kravitz has a really cute giggle.
