Those of you who have been following me for a while, now know that I have given Chloe and Zoe and adopted aunt, Alejandra, and an uncle, her husband, Juan. So I have been wondering, should I give Juan and Alejandra a kid or two? Give Chloe amd Zoe more family?

Mexico 🇲🇽 Three different films: Perdita Durango, Alucarda & La Tia Alejandra
1. The film La Tía Alejandra (1979). 🎥Aunt Alejandra arrives to a familiar household consisting of two parents and three children. Immediately the woman’s presence begins to interfere with the couple’s happiness and also sexuality. Everything seems to be surrounded by an aura of mystery.
Auntie teaches children witchcraft but when one of the children mocks her, she caused his death…She comes to a bathroom and makes the water so hot it burns the teenage girl’s body. Children hate the Auntie and she revenges. Husband starts to drink and is driven away from home. Finally Lucía, the wife, tries to save what is left and takes the active role.🔥👵You can compaire this movie to mother-child relationship in Carrie, or Psycho, depicted as abnormal and perverse. Lucía too desires independence and yearns to lead her own life, yet she is unable to break away from her “auntie’s” dominating influence. As a fantasy it is an important developmental step so that the separation - individuation process is completed and we can get distance to the mother. More interesting than average ⭐️⭐️⭐️
2. 🎥Alucarda (1977): Constant screaming and overacting. Movie borrows a lot from Carmilla - Sheridan Le Fanu’s novel and films and the rest from Mother Joan of the Angels, TheDevils... Perhaps it is more interesting to look for the psychological side of the film.
👯♀️ Alucarda (a Dracula, Mircalla - Marcilla - Carmilla) deals with twinship -themes. Is she just a fantasy figure? Justine’s sadistic inner world?
✝️Name ”Justine” is perhaps borrowed from DeSade’s novel. Is Alucarda just a channel for the aggression and shame, is it about Justine’s own sexuality? The film becomes more interesting if you look at it from different sides of one person.
Enlarge the image to see the borrowed dialogue
💞We all have the need to feel a degree of alikeness with other people. Processes of internalization are motivated by and emerge as the self’s protection of its existence through increasingly advanced ways to ensure the object’s availability in the individual’s world of experience. Identification is an essential form of internalization processes. (Tähkä 1996 & Tähkä R.) What it means to be treated as human by others? ”What I really want is just a sister” can be a wish of a clone-like relationship. Heinz Kohut (1978) calls this phenomena a twinship-transference / - self-object. This longing can also be sexualized.
☸️ In the Jungian psychology, in order to reach a relationship and integration of the Self for the individuation process, typically a person must face, reconcile, and assimilate two central components of the personal unconscious: 1) the Shadow, 2) Anima. Perhaps like in this scene (below) from Perdita Durango.
3. 🌪This is for the friends of Santeria, black humor and 🩸 violence Perdita Durango, released as Dance with the Devil in the United States, is a 1997 Spanish/Mexican action-crime-horror film directed by Álex de la Iglesia, based on Barry Gifford's 1992 novel 59° and Raining: The Story of Perdita Durango. It stars Rosie Perez as the title character and Javier Bardem.
🎬The film is reminiscent of many great other films. Such as: Wild at heart, Badlands, True Romance, Natural Born Killers, Bonny and Clyde, Il Capitano…both Perdita Durango and Wild at Heart go back to original novellas by Gifford. Isabella Rossellini played PERDITA DURANGO in David Lynch’s WILD AT HEART.
🔪Of course, real-life killer couples also come to mind, like: Homolkas, Sarah Jane and John Makin, Ian Brady & Myra Hindley, Mona Watson & Michael Howell, Suzan & James Carson…
🎭In the movie Romeo (Bardem) is a self-styled Santeria guru who spends most of his time flitting from one crime to another. When Perdita and Romeo hook up, all Hell breaks loose. Actually Romeo steals the show from Perdita…he is just amazing Santeria priest…captivating like a Rockstar ⭐️ Gandolfini, Perez …casting is Great
😨😨😨😨Human sacrifices, sadism, kidnapping, rape, murder, featus trafficking …
😂😂😂 Funny but then suddenly again not…
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Furious magic
🔪🔪🔪🔪Violence - Hay drogas y mucha violencia
😆 Screamin’ Jay Hawkins has a role in the film
🐆 One of the rear male witch performances in the film that actually is really worth seeing !
Best quote:
Romeo Dolorosa : I'm going to dance with the devil under the pale moonlight!
Perdita Durango : Go fuck yourself, Romeo.
Romeo Dolorosa : What's wrong? It's from Batman.
Perdita Durango : Fuck Batman!
✂️✂️✂️! The original Spanish version runs 10 minutes longer and features more sex and violence and ends with some characters digitally morphing into the scene finale from Vera Cruz. 🇩🇪 edition was original 126Mins.

The designs and info of isa’s family!!
Firstly Isabela! The mother of Camilo, Antonio and Dolores!! Her life is pretty rough, she was 6 when her father was taken away from her, while witnessing everything. She had a shitty ass husband who made her family’s life a miserable, the only reason she even married him was because of Alma, and arranged marriage. She divorced him 2 years ago and now she’s happily single. Alma still pressures her in this au too but since the divorce Alma has become much more softer and lowered her standards. Before she had Dolores though she had 2 miscarriages because of her husband!
Isabela was a crazy teenager, she also had a normal sistly relationship with mirabel, sometimes she was maybe mean but she knows mirabel knew she didn’t mean it, at least she thinks that. Her life changed when mirabel disappeared, not having mirabel in her wedding or when she had her kids was the worst. Since then she made sure her family was happy so they wouldn’t wanna leave like mirabel too.
It’s true that Isabela is a protective mother and maybe strict (like asian moms) but she’s the most caring person at the same time. You would never catch her be mean to Dolores or any other little kid. She has a nickname for every family member and a flower too!
Camilo is the eldest grandkid, being more than 5 years older than the others is hard for him, he constantly needs to “be a good influence”. Instead he is the most unserious grandkid, but the funniest! Alma tried to get him arranged with many girls but he passed them since he got eyes for an other person ;) He also had a pretty rough childhood because of his father, he abused him often without Isabela knowing and he was a pretty bad trouble kid. He had a close bond with his Tia mirabel though! Many called them “the age gap twins!” Isabela never complained. Camilo is a smoker, not a badly one just the one who smokes time to time, he got the addiction from his father :\ Camilo is 100% a mama’s boy.
He is a hardworking boy, charming and caring. Yet also trouble some and annoying too, he loves it to annoy his younger siblings or cousins, which they all hate from him besides Pepa. Him and Pepa have special bond, it often reminds him of the bond of him and mirabel, he and pepa often do pranks on others together or are just being besties together. He does have a lot going on which he hates, he is called “the one who never cares” often even though it is just hard for him.
Antonio!! He is as tall as canon mirabel in this au, and a bit chubby!! Antonio is a very shy kid and barely doesn’t have any friends, besides his idiotic trio friends, Juancho-Cecilia-Alejandra! The best four group you would see in town, he loves them very much as friends. Like Camilo, Antonio has a got a bd childhood, experiencing the same abuse as Camilo got. That hit his social life a lot and has made him isolated too, his friends and family kept him up the bad weather, which he is thankful for. He got a scar at his lip because when he was very little, he was playing with a Jaguar cup and the mother jaguar approached him and attacked him, just luckily hurting his lip before Diego saved him. (That jaguar turned out to be parces mother!) he’s still pretty childish in this au which makes him adorable, Alma tries to make him get more friends or more popular but he refuses often.
He’s a deliver boy! His main chore is delivering stuff around the down, he doesn’t like it very much but it’s just what he’s got to do, he thinks his gift could be much more useful but no one will listen to him. He’s the second eldest in the family and he quiet does act like a good influence, if it wasn’t for Julieta, Julieta is confirmed to be the best one out of the grandkids. (Well by Alma to say the least.) that doesn’t stop him from still having an good relationship with her.
Dolores is also a shy kid, shy enough for her to get nervous with her family too! She’s a free child who likes music and drawing a lot. Dolores is left unattended often since she’s quiet mature her age but she doesn’t like it to be alone. Her gift ceremony was a half month ago and it’s her nightmare, Dolores hates her gift but in the other side likes it slightly too. It has its own purpose. She didn’t have a too much bad childhood like Antonio and Camilo but unlike them she was a huge daddy’s girl. If he would’ve pushed her away or screamed at her she would still come back because she actually truly loved her dad no matter what but one day when she was 3 he randomly came to her and broke her leg (the reason Isabela divorced him) which broke her heart and now that he’s gone she is heart broken often, but she has grown more attached to antonio and isabela, if you would try and find her just go to either one of them and she’s there with them!
Later on she will meet someone called “senorita maripose” who she will talk to everyday is secret. For her senorita mariposa is a goddess guard guiding her home, like in a fairy tale (at least that’s what she got told by the woman.) Dolores doesn’t have any friends besides her best friend Mariano! She gets to see him very often and she loves him more than anything (not in a love way, they’re still kids!) they do make trouble often together and he’s the one only one who knows about senorita mariposa.
Ivan….yea…don’t got to say much about him. He is not a great guy since he grew up in a weird family. He got arrested 7 years in prison for child abuse and after Isabela found out what he had done everything she destroyed him. But at least he deserved it. He did pretty bad stuff.
Any thoughts on isa’s family? ;)

Encantober 2023 Day 30: Blood
One of the hardest things Julieta ever had to heal was blood. Not that it was necessarily hard to heal, but because she did not like looking at blood ever since she was little. While small cuts were okay for her to look at, injuries gushing blood was enough for her to go to the bathroom and attempt to throw up. On the rare cases she had to heal a villager that was gushing blood, she would have to hold in her feelings until the line was gone.
For several years, Julieta did not have to deal with that amount of blood within the village. She felt like all of this weight was taken off her shoulders since she did not have to throw up after every shift in the village anymore. It was not until a couple hours later when the children would come home from school when that would change.
Camilo, Mirabel, and Antonio walked into Casita’s front door after walking home from school together. Antonio limped in Mirabel’s arms as Camilo did what he could to support him. Julieta came into the kitchen to see the three younger grandchildren walk into the courtyard and notice Antonio limping in the other two’s arms.
“Tonito? Are you okay? What happened at school today?”
“I scraped my knee while running on the playground, Tia Juli. Do you have an arepa for me that could heal it?”
“Si; I should have some extras from earlier today. Can you come into the kitchen so I can get a closer look?”
Mirabel, Camilo, and Antonio made their way into the kitchen and the older two placed Antonio on a kitchen chair. Julieta rolled up Antonio’s right leg of his pants to see the scrape, only to notice it was more than just a scrape. It covered his entire knee and was gushing with blood, with it dripping down his leg until it got to his ankle.
“Tonito, how did this happen?” Julieta asked.
“I was running on the playground after school with Juanco, Alejandra, and Cecilia, and I tripped over a stick on the blacktop and scraped my knee pretty badly.”
Julieta did her best to not gag at the sight of the scrape. This was her youngest nephew that was in pain, but she never had an immediate relative get an injury this bad before. Julieta took a deep breath before scouring through the kitchen counters to find a spare arepa for Antonio to give to him.
“We tried cleaning as much of the scrape as we could. I had a spare handkerchief in my pocket to clean it with,” Mirabel explained.
“But it kept pouring blood. We knew that this amount of blood makes you squeamish, but the blood didn’t want to stop producing,” Camilo added.
Julieta came back from the cabinets with a spare arepa from earlier that day. “I appreciate the fact that you were looking out for me and wanted to make my job easier. You know how much I love you both for that.”
“Gracias, mami; we just got scared that you were going to throw up all over Antonio when you saw it.”
Julieta handed the arepa to Antonio and he took a bite out of it. While it was slower to heal than most injuries she healed in the past, it still healed within ten minutes of Antonio taking a bite out of the arepa.
“I still felt a little bit squeamish looking at the scrape, but this was the first time in a long time I was able to look at it without having to throw up after.”
“You really mean that?” Camilo asked.
“I do mean it. Even before my gift ceremony, the sight of blood was the one sight that I wanted to avoid. Even when Pepa and Bruno or even I had a scrape that bad, it took a while for my stomach to recover from the sight. But right now, I think my stomach recovered much quicker than it did before.”
Mirabel, Camilo, and Antonio smiled when Julieta mentioned she was beginning to overcome her fear of blood. While they never wanted to see her in pain or being afraid, they understood that it was normal for even the town’s doctor to have her moments with certain bodily functions sometimes.
Julieta grabbed a handkerchief from the kitchen counter and wet it in the sink. When Antonio’s scrape healed completely, she dabbed the handkerchief around the leftover blood on his leg until it was completely clean. She threw the handkerchief in the hamper that Casita brought over and Casita brought the hamper back upstairs.
“So, was there anything else that happened today at school that I should know about?” Julieta asked.
“Not really, just the scrape and that was really it,” Camilo said.
Antonio got up from the chair and noticed that it did not hurt to walk anymore. The scrape was completely healed and he was able to walk again without Camilo or Mirabel’s assistance.
“Why don’t you get started on your homework in the courtyard? I’ll be fixing dinner soon when your sisters come home from the village.”
“Okay, mami,” Mirabel said.
The three younger grandchildren made their way back to the courtyard to find their bookbags and took their books out to start their homework. While Julieta was still feeling a little bit uncomfortable with healing the scrape, she felt accomplished knowing that she was able to do it without throwing up this time around. That was something she felt proud of while she was cooking dinner and for the rest of the day.

The Family Madrigal (Giftless Camilo AU)
Lyrics
No lyrics
(Between the song lyrics)
(Someone other than Camilo singing)
________________________________________________________________
(Buenos días, Abuelo.)
(Cecilia, Alejandra, and Juancho, with his usual cup full of coffee, ran and leaned on the rocks in front of Casita.)
(As he approached the dining room the windows opened, letting some natural light shine. Camilo dramatically put his hands in front of the part of his maskless face, as if it was killing him.)
(The plates rolled on the big table to Camilo, the latter catching them all, almost letting go of his prima’s Isabela.)
"Camilo !!!"
Camilo almost dropped the plates in surprise. He turned around and saw his three favorite village children.
Camilo : "Buenos días, niños." He saluted before continuing placing the plates, "I'm sorry to say that, but considering what's happening, I need all my energy, so no lesson for anyone about anything today."
Juancho : What ?!
Alejandra : Really ?
Cecilia : What is happening ?
Camilo : Duh, my brother's ceremony, did you forget ? We will all know what Gift he will get tonight.
??? : Hey…
Camilo and the trio all turned their heads towards the new voice. It was a child wearing a turquoise ruana. Camilo recognized him; it was Rico, one of the most introverted kids around. He approached timidly with a frown on his face.
Camilo : Buenos días, Rico.
Rico : B-buenos días Camilo... I wanted to know…who are all the amazing Madrigal… and… what are their Gifts ?
Camilo (smiling compassionately before smirking) : I understand, nino. We can be lost with all of them. I'll explain everything, but before… who wants to know more ?
All kids : US !!!
Camilo : Alright, "us". Be careful and listen, because I'm only going to say it once. Casita ! Ayudame !
Drawers !
Floors !!
Doors !!!
Come on !!!!
This is our home, we’ve got every generation
So full of muuuusic, a rhythm of its own design
Here’s my family, a great constellation
So many stars, every member gets to shine
Hey !
Let's all be clear, it's all thanks to Abuela
Hey !
Without her, there wouldn't be any familia
Hey !
We're a big family, but don't worry
I'll explain, so you would all be happy, so
Welcome to the family Madrigal
The home of the family Madrigal (yes we're coming)
Where all the people are fantastical and magical
I'm part of the Family Madrigal
The kids (in different tones) : Oh my gosh, it's them !
Alejandra : What are all the Gifts ?
Cecilia : I can't remember all of them.
Rico : W-what is your power ?
Camilo : Calm down, calm down, kids. I said I'll tell ya everything.
Alejandra : But you still didn't ! So it's physically impossible to relax !
Cecilia : So tell us now. What is your power ?
Juancho (overexcited) : Just tell us what everyone can do !!!!
Camilo (snatching the cup) : And that's why coffee is for adults.
Mi Madre Pepa, makes sun when she's happy
But when she's annoyed, it can get all rainy
Mi tio Bruno
(What is it about Bruno ?)
Can give a prophecy
But he stays a mystery
Oh, and here's my tia Julieta
Wow, she can heal every injury
Wow, no one else can be so lovely
Between you and me, she's my favorita (Tia !)
Welcome to the family Madrigal
The home of the family Madrigal (hey, coming through!)
I know it sounds a bit fantastical and magical
But I'm part of the family Madrigal
Two men fell in love with family Madrigal
And now, they're part of the family Madrigal
So, yeah, Tío Agustin married Julieta
And my dad married miss Pepa
That's how Abuela became an abuela Madrigal
Let's go, let's go
We swear to always help those around us
And earn the miracle that somehow found us
The town keeps growing, the world keeps turning
But work and dedication will keep the miracle burning
And each new generation must keep the miracle burning
Alejandra : Wait, who’s a sibling and who’s the prima ?
Cecilia : There’s so many people.
Juancho : How do you keep them all straight ?!
Camilo : Well, they’re my familia, that’s the first thing, and second, when you’re in the familia, you’ll all get used to it.
Davina (approaching) : Camilo ! Camilo ! Will you talk about the others ?!
All the kids (agreeing) : Yeah, please please. Who are they ?!
So many kids in our house, so let’s turn the sound up!
You know why? I think it’s time for a grandkid roundup
Kids : GRANDKID ROUNDUP ?!
Camilo (Flinching a bit) : Yes ! Grandkid Roundup. And for those who just came I repeat; I'll say it only one time. But we have to be a bit quiet
Alejandra : Why ?!
Camilo : Because first…
Big sis Dolores, can hear a pin drop
Little Antonio, will give us a new hope
Mirabel, Luisa, and Isa are my three primas
Smart strong graceeeful, perfect in all the ways
Isabela
Make a rose and the town goes wild !
Isabela
The first golden child
The second is Mirabel, who can sew and stitch out of thin air
And Luisa (Luisa)
Throws everything in the air
The beauty, the brain and the brawn do not wrong !!!
(Time to work)
(Coming Abuela !!!)
That's life in the family Madrigal (whoa-oh-oh-oh)
Now, you know the family Madrigal (whoa-oh-oh-oh)
Where all the people are fantastical and magical
That's who we are in the family Madrigal
Camilo with a salute before knocking into Alejandra : Finished and adiós! Ooh!
Alejandra : But what’s YOUR Gift ?!
The children (agreeing) : YEAH, WHAT’S YOUR GIFT ?!
Camilo was about to respond when a guitar had been tossed into his arms. When he saw his three friends Valentino, Angelica and Arturo looking at him with mocking smirks as they played with their respective instruments, the Djembe, the tambourine, and the accordeon. Never the one to back out from a challenge, Camilo played his part as he sent a smirk to them then the kids.
Well, I’m part of the family Madrigal (whoa-oh-oh-oh)
So I can tell you about mee too (whoa-oh-oh-oh)
So if you wanna know you’ll have to follow meeeeee.
Because I too am a Madrigal.
(But what about Camilo ?!)
Well, there is Abuela
And tio Bruno who can avoid disasters
(What about Camilo ?!)
I can do many things, like painting and theater.
(What about Camilo ?!)
Mi tia Julieta will heal you as if you weren’t hurt.
(But Camilo !)
Tio Agustin, huh… he loves to help but he gets hurt.
(Camilo !!!)
(Trying to avoid balls) If you really wanna know, I can sew and make masks for you-
(Camilo !)
My brother Antonio is adorable and wants to shine.
(Camilo !)
And me too I really want the best for him !
(Camilo !)
Yo, It’s mister Mariano, ya
Can marry Isabela if ya want ta,
But between ya and me, there are really better out there
See ya next time, I hope you’ll be a good pair.
(Camilo !)
You kids are amazing !
(Camilo !)
So let me tell you one thing !
(CAMILO !!!)
It’s that-
(Camilo !)

Hi there. 🍼 and 🌠 for encanto oc.
Thank you Anon!
Baby Bottle: What are their thoughts on children?
Francisca isn't fond of kids. Then again, she's not a people person regardless of their ages.
Alejandra's shy, but she likes kids. She's not sure if she wants to have her own someday or not. She'll joke to Francisca saying she'd make a great tia.
Mercedes likes kids too. As a teen, she had a baby sister and helped take care of her. She knew she'd want to have kids when she was happily married but wasn't in a rush.
Shooting Star: If they could make any wish with no repercussions, what wish would they make?
Mercedes would wish for a content life with those she loves.
Alejandra would wish to change the past.
Francisca would desperately wish for her constant migraines to end.

In Spain we have:
For WOMEN in their 70s to 90s, maybe even older (very often just feminine versions of men's names, not shortened): Angustias, Dolores (not shortened to Lola, Lola is a bit more modern), Isidora, Francisca (can become Tia Kika or Paca), Natividad (shortened to Nati), Antonia, Federica, Emilia, Josefa...
For boomer women: similar to older generations but shortened versions are more common (so Lola, Kika, Emi...). Gloria. Most of them are María of something (I don't know if it was a trend or a mandatory requirement during the dictatorship but it is what it is) and so, María/Mari can become part of the name or be completely avoided. Also CARMEN (lots of them, optional shortened version: Menchu or Maricarmen), María José (Marijose, sometimes even just Jose), Marisa (can be short for María Isabel) Pilar (shortened Pili, can also be Maripili) Charo (short for Rosario), Isabel, Conchi (Concha is short for Concepción, which in turn can be short for María de la Concepción or Inmaculada Concepción. Yes, that one). Maybe because of the María thing, a lot of Virgin names*.
Millennials and younger (generally speaking 2 syllable names): María, Laura, Nuria, Raquel, Inma or Macu (short for Inmaculada, yes the same name as before but a more modern short version), Marta, Sandra (can be its own name or short for Alejandra, which would be a full name of her mother's generation or older), Lore (short for Lorena). We also start to see some Jessica, Jennifer, and other English sounding names, with varying spelling (Yésica, for instance). They will be shortened to Jessi and Jenni. Lore, Jessi and Jenni are very much worker/poor neighbourhood names. Given my background, I am completely unfamiliar with posh/rich people names but I think they tend to stay in the Grand parents naming convention (or straight up Medieval Kings and Queens if they are fascist leaning).
FOR MEN (old): Isidoro, Salustiano, Felipe (can also be a boomer name), Lucas, Paco (short for Francisco), José (the accent goes in the E, as opposed to younger generations where the accent changes to the O), Romualdo, Nicanor (shortened to Nica for making difference between the old father and the boomer son) (Nica can also be short for Nicanora, the woman version of the name, in the same age group). There is a very specific trend of a couple of names that were women names but abstract enough they could be given to men so that they could try to fool the mandatory army calling: Rosario is one of those names.
Boomers: Antonio (can be Toño), Enrique, Rodrigo, Manolo (from Manuel), Curro or Paco (for Francisco, but we may start seeing some Fran as well), Javier, Carlos. We also have many José (accent written in the E but pronounced in the O) as first name joined to the second name: José Carlos, José Luis (could become Joselu or Selu), José Manuel, José María (these last two can become Josema, or Chema). Similar thing happens with Luis Manuel (Luisma) or Luis Miguel (Luismi).
Millennials or younger: often same names as their fathers but abbreviated, but also Rubén, Miguel (both have the accent in the second syllable, but in some areas of worker background they will switch the accent to the first syllable), Toni (for Antonio), Lolo or Manu (for Manuel), Carlos (often turned into Charli), Rodri (from Rodrigo), Fran (short for Francisco, maybe also Kiko), Quique (short for Enrique). Same as with women, we start to see English sounding names, particularly in poorer backgrounds, names like Kevin or Jason with varying spelling like Jayson or Yeison.
Notice the change in the shortened versions in each generation. Older people tend to have the long version of the name, but some abbreviations are now considered outdated so new ones have become more frequent. Very common to find a family of Tío Francisco, Paco and Fran (Grand Father, Father and Son).
The older generation (born before the dictatorship) could have up to 4 names: the name the parents wanted, the grandparent on the mother's side name, the grandparent on the father's side name and the Saint of the day. The dictatorship forced people to go to church and imposed Catholicism everywhere, specially up to the later part of the 1960s so the María and José naming convention is probably related to this. But boomers chose simpler names for their children to differentiate, unless they are more Catholic or otherwise traditional. Millennials seem to be getting more practical about names in things like "why name him Alejandro if I will end up calling him Alex? Alex is it".
There is also a boomer trend in naming their children, not superfrequent but maybe coming from more alternative/hippy parents, or looking for nature names or getting creative. Olmo (Elm tree) as a name for boys is here. I knew an Amaranta.
*Virgin names are an all time classic and they actually tell you where the person (or her family) is from because they are very local. I personally adore these names with the strength of the ocean because they are very often related to natural phenomena and get shortened to just the natural part. So the structure of the name is "María de" (Mary of [the thing where the virgin appeared]) and some of these names: The very typical Andalusian name Rocío (Mary of the Morning Dew), Mary of the Snows (Nieves), Mary of the Prairie (Prado), Mary of the Mountain (Montaña, typical of Cáceres city), Mary of the Plains (Llanos, typical of Albacete city, the very name of Albacete comes from Arabic and means The Plain, it doesn't get better than this). Special shout out to Covadonga (a cave in Asturias, the North of Spain), Montserrat (a mountain in Catalonia, shortened to Montse) and Piedraescrita (the local virgin of a village in Extremadura. Literally means Written Stone). I could list all the Virgin names I know because they are my favourite thing to come out of Spanish Catholicism.
What are Old People Names from other languages?
Like I know in English there aren't many young people named Carl, Howard, Minerva, Agnes, Matilda, Beatrice, Pearl, Violet, Viola, Alvin, Albert, or Earnest (at leat not in Canada) but I've come to the realization that I don't know ANY non-english old people names
Alternatively, YOUNG people names- Blaze, Hunter, Jackon, Savannah, Tanner, Taylor, Mackenzie, Ocean, River, FTeegan, and Zach
And what makes names fall in and out of style???

stammering Adrien: Hey Marinette I'm not well verse in your culture, do you guys celebrate Halloween in France?
"It depends. Some do, and some don't. Most Parisians see Halloween as too commercialized, but my friends and I occasionally celebrate. La Toussaint, or All Saints Day, is a much bigger deal here. It's a day we come together to remember and honor the dead."
"My Aunt Alejandra and her family have a similar holiday to that. It's called Dia de los Muertos.”

I feel like the unofficial adopted kids (especially the abused ones) will use the last name “Madrigal” to estrange themself from the last name they got from their parents/guardian.
Also, when a kid (or kids) feels unsafe at home do they go to Dolores and/or Mariano? I’m sure it’s a yes but I’m just makin sure.
I kind of imagine a kid running to Tia Casita and going through the secret back door to Dolores. And in the morning all of the other madrigals just wake up and see a random kid at the breakfast table. Lolo silently dares anyone to say anything with her side eye.
In that type of situation she’ll have the kid stay at Casita with Camilo, Mirabel, and Antonio while she beats up the people who made her baby feel any sort of pain (and takes them to the authorities right afterwards.)
And on the plus side, a new baby gets to stay with her!
Lil side thought: The kids definitely call Mariano’s grandmother Bisabuela and it warms her heart so much.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THE NAMES 🙏 ITS AN HONOR
Also I’m pretty sure that’s the case with most of the children there!! Don’t like being a (surname)? Dont worry just be a madrigal! 😃👍
When any of the children just start to feel bad at a certain point, they most likely go to Dolores. Calling her or just go into the room! But I’m sure that if they noticed that Dolores is busy they definitely will go to Mariano too :)
I would say that Dolores would’ve wanted the kids to rather have breakfast in the room since most of them maybe don’t trust any other adult but if they would still want to stay with Dolores (or any of the others) she would bring them down without an expectation!
Sooo true! It’s like- you hurt them and Dolores will hurt you 🙌 Dolores loves taking in new babies, since they’re literally adorable 🥹
Bisabuela on her way!💪 (literally such an cute name for her💕)
The next morning after Dolores took the two in
Alma would’ve been just like “seriously…an other one..”
Julieta and Agustín would start to eventually adore them! (But then question later on from where they come from)
Pepa would be confused meanwhile casita accidentally left Félix out! (Not in a mean way, he was just late and casita forgot)
Mariano would’ve come to visti too, just to make sure everything’s okay! (Alma would think he came for Isabela, and would put him next to her which annoyed dolores a lot)
Mirabel would tell the kids that she would come play later! (She’s their favorite playmate and it’s normal for them to eat faster than the Madrigals)
Antonio introduces the girl everyone in his family and would definitely keep talking to her!
Isabela would get annoyed that Dolores is doing it, thinking she’s trying to ruin breakfast time (but she actually also adores the new children)
Camilo would try to irritate Isabela on purpose when he sees that she gets annoyed by it, mostly he does it because he knows that she likes the children (he makes sure they eventually talk to her too, if the wanna)
Luisa waves to the little one, also finding it adorable :D (Camilo did it on purpose but then he started to wave on his own)
And dolores just stares Alma down, daring her to say anything about it!
+ Mariano’s grandmother (don’t have a name yet) would be with the children upstairs, making sure they’re okay while Dolores is gone

That was the thing about life wasn’t it? Some people came into your life and made it better or made it hell. She had seen when Scarlet put her cousin through and honestly at this point if he wanted a lesson learned the hard way ( again ), there was nothing else she could do but let him learn it. Alejandra had learned long ago some people just weren’t meant to be let back in. Rolling her eyes at the others comment she left her behind.
As the plates of toppings for the pozole were passed around and conversation started back up, she couldn’t help but continue to drive a thorn in the others side. “This is so good, Tia, did Adàn tell you this recipe got him into the final round for a cooking competition show?” Then looked over at her cousin. “When are you hearing if you’re going to be on or not? I mean either way even making it that far is quite an achievement. ”
Alejandra had been forced into a maternal role against her choice when their father passed away. When her and Mayaken's aunt and uncle took them in, their mother had checked out. Having lost the love of her life had taken its toll. While Mayaken began to care for their mother, she was discussing funeral arrangements and moving plans with her aunt and uncle. She had only been 12. So she was very protective of her family, her cousins included having lived together for years now.
❝ He missed out on yours because you made that choice. You left and made those achievements without him. So don't stand there and act like you two are on equal playing fields. ❞ When Scarlet left her cousin a year after their marriage, she saw him become a familiar image. An image she hated, he was like her mother when her father died. Not being able to move on, bargaining God for what they had lost. It had taken a lot to get her cousin semi back to normal, so for everyone to just forget the last couple of years just because he said he forgave her, seemed like a betrayal. If this worked out, then so be it, she would be happy to be proved wrong, but zebra's couldn't change their stripes and Scarlet was a zebra. ❝ Let's also not forget that he spent sleepless nights looking for you when you left without a word, only for your friend to call him. Not you. ❞
Sitting at the table, a smile was on her face again as if nothing had happened. The dinner of pozole and tostadas that her aunt and Adán had made a welcome comfort as conversations began to fill the air.
