On 60 Minutes (right before 8x01 aired) GRRM said the ending would match the books for the main characters. It's the secondary characters that'll be different because Martin doesn't know what he'll do with them in the book.

Time to burn all my books and merch I suppose.

Places like Hour Eyes also can just check you for glasses. I work at an opthamoligist office and they are medical doctors, but unless you have glaucoma, cataracts, or diseases of the eye many people do not need to be seen. A lot of insuranes will cover visits, but a few won’t if it’s not medically necessary. If you just want glasses or contacts often going to an optometrist is better.

thunderclawsummers Reread them all! I read all the books in Septemeber within like a month, and normally longer books take me longer.

austennerdita2533 I'm reading them now, too! Currently on AFFC. I've been savoring the books, though, rather than speed-reading for once (though idk why lol).

I had a good time with them the first time through, though it’s been many a moon. I read the first four before ‘A Dance With Dragons’ was even released, and that was back in 2011. 

I just really, really need Joffrey to die and I need to get to it as soon as possible. I forgot how much visceral hatred he inspires in me.

(If you don't want to keep having the pregnancy convo that's cool, you don't have to publish this), but I think anon's message above about the DS9 pregnancy wasn't quite fair. Yes, they did a silly sci-fi womb transfer, but the original mother was injured, and the surrogate mom's character was a friend and wanted to help save the child. Both parents and all other characters were supportive and the surrogate (actually pregnant actress) was included in the child's life etc

I don’t mind the convo as long as we don’t go back to Cordelia, you know? I’ve said my piece about that. Also, I don’t understand anything about what you explained but I’ll take your word for it :)

The Walking Dead actually hid a pregnancy really well, so well that I didn't even know the actress had been pregnant while they were shooting. So whatever tricks they used, other shows need to learn.

I think it’ll be the origin story of The Hallow most likely.

Okay so here are my potential theories, there are holes in them but i think they could work?

The Hollow (I think her name is Samir, that name has been floating around a lot) was a high priestess maybe? Hence the power?

There was a casting call for a native american baby... so maybe Samir lost her child? OR was going to lose her child and ended up turning to dark magic and her child may have actually become one of the first werewolves? her child would be granted animal strength and sense but only after they took a life and burdened their soul with death? (much like vampires and esthers children?) became lost into it (hence her being dismembered and scattered?)

The village looks lie it’s being burned in the background if you look, maybe she turned to dark magic to save her family and killed children to gain her power which lead to her being killed by the other villagers but her spirit still haunted others?

We know it’s New Orleans but like well over a thousand years ago so that’ll be interesting

This happens to me too. I skipped their scenes in the last episode, because after I saw 2x09 I literally felt sick and it took me a while to recover and I didn't want to go through that again. Their romantic scenes just make me nauseous, and that's never happened to me before.

lol listen their first kiss made me feel like I was about to break out in hives, I’m not even joking like it was that bad. Like just the image of her huge baby bump and then making out was *gags* I’ve def gotten that nauseous feeling before. Glad to know I’m not alone

As far as we know, Nina wasn't in Atlanta to film in December. imdb has been wrong about upcoming episodes before, so unless we hear otherwise I don't think we should expect to see her.

yup, that’s why i always say to wait for an official confirmation. IMDB can literally be edited by anyone.

really?! Huh, I trust your book judgement so now I'm definitely wondering how I'll even like this book @thunderclawsummers​

@klarolinedrabbles The book started out with great potential, but then really turned into a romance novel and I just couldn’t get into the romance and wanted more about the actual plot. The main character is a witch, and I wanted more about the mythology and whatnot but as the book went on it really just became about her romance with a vampire. The All Souls series does have a following and I know one person who really likes the series and re-read it and she told me some of the plot points for the other two books. The book will probably be better for people who can get into the Diana/Matthew romance.

And I about lost it when (minor spoiler)

it was suddenly revealed that even though vampires cannot have children (their “children” are those that they turn) that Matthew could knock up Diana. I just know they’re going to have a baby in a future book and I am not at all here for vampires having children.

It's a tragedy. Juliet was like 13. It was not meant as some great love story, and I don't get why people see it that way. Romanticizing it I think is the opposite of the reaction you're supposed to have.

she-walked-away RTTTTT. I have no desire to purchase another streaming service, especially since I own half of the DVDS anyways and only watch it on Netflix out of pure convenience. I mean I have Hulu and Netflix both and that's pretty much going to stay my go-go. If I wanna watch something else- I'm sure I can find it on youtube or somewhere else. Pirating is just going to get worse.

thunderclawsummers It's just ridiculous at this point. There is no way I'd pay for that. If they don't have a good variety of content people will just drop the ones they already pay for too.

People saw that Netflix had a good thing going on and now they all want a slice of the pie, and as usual they’re too distracted by the prospect of making a bunch of money to sit down and think about the fact that they’re going to alienate the paying audience and turn them on to another platform.

We have Netflix and Hulu and I’m not ponying up for anything else. The whole fucking POINT of Netflix was to pay one monthly fee so I could have access to a bunch of media that I want to see.
