i love that in throne of atlantis arthur is just this regular dude that finds out he’s the future king of atlantis and that exact day he has to be the king of atlantis. he doesn’t have any combat training or special skills besides getting in drunk brawls over lobster friends but he’s immediately thrown into politics and advanced combat. he’s over here punching, kicking, and elbowing his way through atlantian soldiers while sidestepping literal magic like a fuckin boss. this man goes from being a drunk fish fiend to the king of atlantis in less than 24 hours with the utmost grace and he gets the girl woman! the badass atlantian sorceress woman!! absolutely nuts, he’s got an army of sharks at his command like who entrusted him with sharkshaveyoumetarthur

Just some silly things about superman

- he can swim on the sun and it's good for him except in "all star superman" were the sun is killing him

- he can go without sleep for quite awhile (5 days or so) he seems like he likes to dream

- he doesn't really need oxygen because he's solar powered but he can breath air (it's like he is constantly holding his breath)

-he's got some silly powers (you may or may not have heard of) one of which is amnesia kisses, so like when lois found out he was superman, he gave her a big old smooch, girly didn't remember his identity (she's literally so down bad for him and not in a good way if there was one)

-he also has "Super Disco" which I find incredibly funny, tell me this isn't funny

Basically he's superman and I guess anything he does is super like- he can break a building (and some hearts) just by dancing

- he did have super intelligence when he first arrived but life involves so now he's just a mix of average and smart

- his super typing is more of a super speed thing but I guess he is typing fast so it makes it super- so: super typing

Sometimes I think about Emily being older when she discovers she’s half mermaid. Like, she’s an older teen, or maybe a young adult, far passed the age we’re she would believe in mermaids, and she’s underwater with a mermaid tail.

I like that!! Reminds me of Justice League: Throne of Atlantis where Aquaman didn't discover he's half Atlantean until he's an adult. Also depending on her situation, maybe an older Emily could just start swimming lessons without needing her mom's permission like in the books.

To make these bar chart race, all series titles in the TV Show Category on November 29 (or the closest date to it) of every year were copy-pasted from Wayback Machine to Google Sheets, rearranged according to number of fanworks, manually filtered for fandoms belonging in only one category and then inputted to Flourish to turn into a bar chart race.

Locked fanworks aren't included in the count because Wayback Machine can’t view those, only Ao3 users can.

Jossverse was in the top 10 from 2010-2017 (Top 2 in 2010 and 2011). In 2018, it was removed from the TV Show fandom list and works tagged with it show up in Buffy the Vampire Slayer (TV) instead so I’ve excluded it from the bar chart.

ETA: About Doctor Who: Doctor Who actually has 2 tags with ranked higher (Higher than Doctor Who (2005) even) on the list. Unfortunately, they were both multi-category tags: Doctor Who & Related Fandoms was also in the Other Media category thanks to the Doctor Who (Big Finish Audio), and the other tag Doctor Who was also in Books & Literature thanks to Doctor Who - Various Authors. You can see them rank in the top 10 TV Shows multi-category bar chart race linked above.

About Stargate: The Stargate - All Media Types tag is actually interesting because unlike most All Media Types tags, it’s only listed in the TV Show category. That’s why it still turned up in this list. This might just be a lack of tagging its other categories (like Books & Literature) on AO3, however. Now that I checked its subtags, it actually had at least 2 Book & Literature only subtags: Stargate Atlantis: Legacy Series - Various Authors and Stargate SG-1 - Various Authors. So it probably should not have been in this bar chart race. Apologies for the oversight.🙏
