Iconic duos of Pikachu and Piplup for Ash and Dawn, and Lucario and Cinderace for Ash and Goh and both duos get shown together in merch in a single sports towel, meanwhile Piplup and Cinderace still get shown off in promotion alongside Pikachu, the power of Ash's fellow dual protagonists persists, even after the new star duo of Liko and Roy are running the show now.

The beauty of the Ash, Goh, and Dawn trifecta's bond is at its best how they've always got each other's backs: they can always count on each other for support when they need it.

When Dawn lost her Piplup, she called up Ash and he came to her aid without hesitation, Goh by his side.

And when Goh had to unexpectedly leave for an urgent Project Mew summon, leaving Ash behind and unable to cheer him on in his match against Leon, lo and behold it was Dawn who showed up, alongside her good buddy and Goh's longtime childhood friend Chloe, coming in to cheer Ash on in the stands in Goh's stead.

The shared bond between the three of them together is truly one of a kind. They are a ride-and-die bestie trio, with a powerful connection between them. Ash could arguably be seen as being a twin flame with either Goh or Dawn, but altogether they are three of the same soul. Their power is truly at its best with all three of them together.

I groaned as the tower bell rang: one...two...three times. Signalling for the day shift guards and recruits to get up. We all had to get up at this time as winter approached, The Archipelago was harsh once the cold set in and we had to prepare. This was also the best time to train recruits like me. I had a better chance at becoming part of the Crowns Guard as they tried to keep things calm. “Morelli get your tail up, you’ll be coming with me to the ring.” My body stiffened as I heard Helis’s strict voice coming from the barracks doorway. I looked over at him shocked but luckily my voice didn’t catch in my throat. “Aye sir, I’ll meet you there.”

Helis was the most powerful member of the Crowns Guard, He was made captain five years before I joined the recruits. I hope to be in his place when I become part of the Guard. But for now I need to prove myself to them, the Crowns Guard have the most influence here in Teiroa, everyone wants to be in the Crowns Guard favor. That’s why there’s barely any crime here. Once I got my leather armor and boots on I left for the ring. Now that place. That place terrifies me, but in a good way. When I had stepped outside I was immediately met with the chatter and life of my home.

“Morning Mrs. Holly!” I waved at her as I approached a smiling coming to my face as she looked up at me. “My, my, if it isn’t Morelli. How are you dear?” She laughed at the little rhyme she used while I just shook my head. “I’m doing good Holly, about to meet up with Captain Helis at the ring. I wanted to ask if you need me to get something for you when it was over.” Her smile turned to a frown. She never understood why I looked up to Helis, and she never liked the ring. ‘It’s a place of death I tell you.’ That’s what she would always say when the place was brought up. I sighed while placing a hand on her shoulder. “I know that face Holly, I promise you I'll come back in one piece.”

She looked up at me, the frown never changing as she spoke. “You better. For your family's sake I hope you make it out. Now get going before Helis gets madder than a Fang fin.” I nodded, chuckling as I backed away. Breaking into a sprint towards the ring while trying not to bump into anyone. But by the grace of the gods I made it on time just as the first bell rang for the ring. Signalling the first battle of the day had started. Good. That meant Helis was distracted and I could make my way inside without him noticing me. I heard someone call out to me from behind as was met with Jayce. “There you are Morelli! Helis is looking for you. I told him that you were in the penn. You need to hurry!”

I internally panicked to say the least, didn’t say a word to him as I bolted like a scared alfiq towards the penn. Taking a shortcut through the stands, ignoring the shouting from displeased watchers when I blocked their view. That is until I tripped..and fell...right onto Mckay..the captain in charge of the ring. “Oh my gods i’m so sorry sir! I should have paid more attention!” I tried to help him up but he slapped my hand away then got up on his own. I. Was. Terrified. This man could end me with one flick of his finger and I crashed into him like a headless Rotok. But he laughed...he laughed and smiled. “It’s fine kid you were clearly in a rush.” He dusted himself off and looked at me then blinked in what I assumed to be surprise.

“Hey..aren’t you the one Helis was going to-” “I’ve been looking for you Morelli. I was told you were in the penn but clearly you weren’t there.” Helis had cut McKay off as he approached. I couldn’t find my voice since I was still in shock at how friendly Mckay was. Every time I’ve seen him he was always mean, I wouldn’t even doubt that a Angha would be scared of him. “Morelli?” I shook my head opening my mouth to speak but McKay did that for me. “Loosen up Helis. She was with me, I wanted to show your protégé what it’s like watching the ring from the first row.”

Thinking about how Chilchuck and Laios started adventuring at around the same relative time in their lives

There are a bunch of similarities to their backstories - leaving home at a young age (14, 12), starting careers in exploring dungeons as young adults (19, 22), developing a complex about the first monster that killed them (Mimics, Living Armor), getting scammed or taken advantage of by other adventurers (succubus-hunting party, gold-peelers) - that they give me "past and future" vibes

Chilchuck is the older mentor to the less-experienced Laios. He joined Laios' party when Laios had only been exploring the dungeon for a year, and Chilchuck regularly gives advice based on his own 10 years of experience in an effort to support Laios as leader. There are several occasions of Chilchuck either teaching or wishing Laios would learn something in particular that he thinks would help with the job

Laios is a reflection of Chilchuck's past from when he was just starting out as a naive adventurer, while Chilchuck is an example of the future that Laios is striving towards as a seasoned dungeon explorer and leader

But also, they can represent missed opportunities and paths not taken for each other

An example for Chilchuck is that he isn't treated with the same respect as a tall-man because he is a half-foot. He can lead a union of half-foots, but leading a party of other races, many of whom would infantilize him, is unlikely. There are limitations to what he can do (physically and socially) compared to Laios simply because of how each were born, and it's partly why he's so hard on Laios to make him a good leader and not waste the opportunities afforded to him

Meanwhile as an example for Laios, who left his family and fiancée behind when going out on his own at 12 years old, who wasn't shocked that Chilchuck became a father at 13, and who even mentioned that some tall-men get married at 13, too...

If Laios had never left home, would he, at 13, have married someone from his childhood and also become a father of three?

of course, he sees Moon and Eclipse emote all the time. he usually attributes it to Moon being a fool (believing he is something he's not) and Eclipse being manipulative (given that he was originally built for the theater)

but there is a part of him that wonders if he is missing something—he just doesn’t understand what that is

Core Gems

So when a ghost becomes injured, they have a last ditch defense where they retreat into their core. And I mean, injured badly where their body is rip apart to the point they can’t hold a solid form anymore. And they basically go into a hibernation state until they are strong enough to form again.

Ellie, Danny, and Dan are all injured in a final battle against the GIW. The organization was destroyed and the ghosts were safe but the halfas ended up being so injured that they reverted to core form and then went to sleep for a bit. When they woke up, they were still weak but at least recovered enough to gain consciousness. And realize…they are in some kind of auction…in the middle of a heist. It appeared that two furries (one in a bat costume and one in a cat costume) were ducking it out. And they…they were a necklace. All three of them had been turned into a necklace with their cores as gems accompanied by sapphires, pearls, and opals. And frankly gorgeous craftsmanship as the metal was crafted around their cores as if to cradle them and the other gems.

Unfortunately, they were too weak to take a form properly, they could still feel the strain on their bodies. But at least they could still communicate through their auras. Then the cat lady punched a hole in the glass container surrounding them and grabbed their necklace.

However, the bat grabbed the other end and it resulted in a sort of tug-a-war. Meanwhile, Danny, Ellie, and Dan were having a back and form commentary on the situation and what they should do. Completely unheard by the other party.

In the corner of their eye, the three halfas finally noticed a third contender. Some kind of clown who was…hold on…holding a gun?! And it was pointed straight at the two fighting furies who had yet to notice him. The ghosts’ protective instincts went into overdrive and they frantically tried to shout, yell, move. Just do something to warn the two but their cries fell on deaf ears. All they succeeded in doing was faintly glow which immediatly caught the attention of the fighting duo. The two turned to look at the strange necklace but right at that moment, the clown fired and a gunshot rang throughout the auction room. Having no other options, Danny and the others poured every ounce of ectoplasm they had to try and phaseshift, making the two furries intangible as the bullets passed right through them, but in their shock, the two jumped away in opposite directions and accidentally ripped the necklace apart. Gems and pearls went flying and the three cores bounced along the ground.

Luckily, the two finally noticed the clown and went to deal with him and his minions who had appeared. Seemingly putting their fight on hold and forming a temporary truce. The three halfas could only watch as the battle finally wound down, ending with the cops barging into the place and arresting the clown and his grunts, the cat managing to escape with half the scattered gems and pearls from the broken necklace along with a few other jewelry pieces (none of their cores though) and the bat leaving through a skylight.

The auction continued and in the end, despite being broken, their necklace seemed to have caught someone’s interest. A man named Bruce Wayne bought up every piece of the shattered jewelry wear. The auctioneers appeared relived that the item managed to sell in the end and gratefully gave it to him.

Bruce had no idea what happened at the auction, but he could have sworn that some of the gems faintly glowed right before he and Selina were shot. If the necklace was some sort of magical item, then he needed to understand exactly what has been brought to Gotham. It was unfortunate that Selena had taken some parts of the necklace but he utilized his vast wealth to make sure all the other parts ended in his possession. Now he would take them back to the mansion for examination.

The triforce of protagonists before Liko and Roy's story began, all together in one piece.

Ash, Goh, and Dawn all carry the spirit of a protagonist within them, a hero/heroine of a story. At different points in Ash's, Dawn and Goh both had their journeys and stories co-starring with Ash and becoming a duo with Ash.

In many cases Ash would share the same brain cell and same energy as Goh or Dawn, but take all three of them together and you have a triad of three becoming one. One energy between three, and as you can see here that spirit they share with that protagonist energy radiating between the three of them, acting as one. One brain cell between them, and the three combined are a great power as one.

As duos they were strong, but as a trio together they truly become one with each other with no equal. The holy trinity of protagonists of the world of Pokemon, a triforce between them if you will. Three souls, yet one mind that together exert a power as protagonists who can kick butt and save the world. A single power unmatched by any.

Something something who you are during times of chaos/desperation/war is who you have to become to survive, not who you would like to be.

Something something as far as we have been led to believe, the first chance Solas has to exist in a world where the onus of saving it doesn't rest entirely on his shoulders (of course plotting is going down, but it isn't the sole activity) he finds the right materials and picks up a paintbrush. He surrounds himself with scrolls and lets these strange new companions tease him and sometimes lets himself bite back. He searches for knowledge of his people and delights in sharing what he's learned with those who ask. He finds a spirit and makes sure he never feels alone in this world they never thought they'd be a part of.

And yeah, he doesn't think he can keep it, any of it. He refuses to let himself see the souls past the scar tissue stifling his own. Because the war never ended, it can't have ended. His friend hasn't unleashed her reckoning, his wrongs sit unrighted and rotting. The war drums were never gone, just dim for a moment. But he never forgets what it was like, even for a little while, to just be Solas. And when he finally gets to lay down who he had to become for who he wants to be, it sends him to his knees, and personally, I just think that's neat

Sam and Tucker, thanks to living in Amity Park and being overshadowed and controlled by ghosts so many time, had become very liminal. Until an accident while trying to stop the newest ghost enemy led to the two of them becoming halfa’s. Sam’s ghost form looks like what she looked like during the whole Undergrowth thing. And Tucker’s ghost form looks like his King Tuck design.

After a reveal gone wrong, Danny, Sam, and Tucker flee Amity Park. The trio run away to Gotham, and using money Sam managed to snag from her account before they left, they buy a nice sized building right in the middle of Crime Alley. They decide to turn it into a bookshop and cafe. There’s a garden/greenhouse attached to the back end of the building where Sam grows all her plants and herbs. Tucker has his own tech room in the basement alongside Danny’s tiny lab space. They live together in the apartment above the bookshop/cafe.

One day while out on a walk, Danny stumbles across two tiny twin half formed baby ghost cores. They’re nothing more than tiny little balls of glowing light at the moment. Baby ghosts that are just starting to form but are nothing more than cores at the moment. But they seem to be slowly fading. Danny refuses to let them fade away into nothing. He scoops them up, infuses them with some of his ectoplasm to get them going, and then shoved them into his chest for safe keeping and so that they can be close to his own core which starts slowly feeding them energy.

Danny rushes back to the shop and drags Sam and Tucker to the upstairs apartment and shows him the baby ghost cores he’s found. The three all agree that they’re going to help these cores develop into actual ghosts. They switch off on who carry’s the ghost cores around. Some days it’s Danny. Some days it’s Tucker. And some days it’s Sam. Each of them feeding the cores a little bit of their ectoplasm to help them grow.

One of the cores feels distinctly female and has a purplish blue glow to it. The three start jokingly calling her violet. The other core has a distinctly male feel to it. It’s an orangish red and has a small crack along one side of it. Danny jokingly said one time how he (the baby core) kind of looked like Nemo’s egg at the beginning of Finding Nemo and ever since they’ve been calling him Nemo.

The two cores have been developing very slowly, both seemingly unable to absorb the needed ectoplasm, to form into full ghosts, quickly. The trio is fine with this, they can be patient, and wait to meet their twins.

Then one day there’s some kind of massive ghost attack. Maybe a cult or something attempted to summon the ghost king but messed up the summoning and accidentally summoned something else. The Justice League try and fight the thing, but they’re no match for this ghost monstrosity. And the JLD aren’t available to help for whatever reason. The trio decides to step in and help. They kick the crap out of the ghost pretty easily and send it back to the ghost zone. Then Danny, in his King Phantom garb (crown of fire, whispy white fire like hair, a regal looking version of his hazmat suit, the ring of rage on one finger, and a cape around his shoulders, the outside being pure white but the inside looking like the vastness of space) approaches the cult and rebukes them, telling them how even if they had managed to summon him he never would have helped them take over the world.

After that the trio become members of the Justice League. Thanks to some of Danny’s previous time travel shenanigans, and Danny being the ghost king, and Sam and Tucker his consorts/mates(?) the Justice League all think that the trio are ancient eldritch ghost gods.

And then one day when the trio are in the Watch Tower with the rest of the League their twin baby ghost cores come up. Maybe it was time to switch out who was carrying them, and mid meeting or lunch or whatever, Danny just reaches into his chest, pulls out two small glowing orbs. He cradles them close to his chest for a moment, looking at them lovingly, and whispering something soft to them in ghost speak. Then hands them over to Sam, who does the whole cradle them close and whisper softly in ghost speak before shoving them right into her chest.

They look up from this to see the whole League staring at them wide eyed and confused. Danny just casually explains that those are their children but they’re still forming so the trio needs to keep them close to their cores to help them grow, but they like to switch up everyday who carry’s them. Every member of the Justice League becomes super protective of the trio after this. They see it as the three essentially being pregnant (sort of), and they don’t always know which one of them is carrying the baby ghost. So best to just be protective of all three. The trio finds this kind of amusing and a touch bit sweet.

When the twin baby cores finally develop into actual baby ghosts, the two kind of look like a mixture between Danny, Sam, and Tucker’s ghost forms. Though Violet has dark purple hair and eyes and Nemo has bright orangish red hair and eyes.
