Molly was nothing if not the definition of warmth. A family person, through and through. Beatrice could only admire while she stood nearby, waiting on an order she'd placed on a few pastries that were currently being packaged. "Hello Molly. Seems like you got your hands full, hm?" The redhead in front of her certainly had her life figure out. Of that, Bea had no doubt.
Tumblr media
With how everything was going perhaps something as warm as family was the right thing; something worth protecting. "Hope they're not keeping you too busy. Otherwise I'd feel bad for interrupting." - @xmollyweasleyx
location: rosa lee teabag. who: open.
Molly loved all of her children but there were times when she needed one on one time with each of them. This was her eldest's turn. Bill loved himself a pumpkin pasty and Molly couldn't deny herself a hot cup of tea so she brought him to Rosa Lee Teabag as a special treat. A more adult place for the more adult child. He was the apple of his mother's eye.
"Yes, Bill. Today you can have two," she smiled at the short redheaded boy. She ruffled his hair and beamed from ear to ear. Doing for her family always made Molly feel full and complete. "Over here, my darling," she swept Bill toward a table before running into a familiar face. "Oh, hello."

It's looking like there's a growing divide between Campaign watchers and Tlovm watchers in terms of like. We're here for the characters. 12-episode seasons aren't. They can't be. I'm already making peace with everything we'll lose in the Mighty Nein show, and I know I will enjoy it for what it is but I also know that almost nothing that made the story so special will translate to the screen, because turning it into a show automatically means (in this day and age) that plot must be the number one priority. They've already come out and told us it's going to be different, the characters we know and love but new stories.
Because that's how this has to work. And I feel bad for campaign one lovers, because while it is certainly the easier of the two to translate to a big, overarching story, even though it's a more "traditional" high fantasy story with easier archetypal characters, the archetypes and the plot aren't what cemented most people's love for the campaign. So much of the love for critical role is stored in the interpersonal dynamics and the payoff that comes from hundreds of hours of tiny interactions that one day become cornerstones of development and even affect or dictate the plot.
There's no room for that. There's no room for Bard's Lament in a story that cannot afford to remove and replace a main character. A lot of tlovm is for people who have been here for all of campaign one. Most of it, however, isn't. It's for a new crowd. While CR may have creative control, you can bet your ass that there were months and years devoted to figuring out how to map a character-focused love of the show into a plot that hits the right beats to be viable in the show market.
And it worked. Tlovm has consistently high viewing numbers, and its popularity has brought and will continue to bring new people into the universe who have never interacted with CR previously. That's not a bad thing - imagine finishing your favorite show and discovering it has another FIVE HUNDRED HOURS of the equivalent of behind the scenes content. That's incredible for these newcomers. But man, it is in many ways a loss for us.

was worried parts of cr2 would not hold up on rewatch (especially seeing people hate the aeor arc so much) but ngl so far its either been good and fun as hell (travellercon, pirate arc) or just straight up banger after banger. like the xhorhas to angel of irons through to refjorged arc and then the cathedral.................. unrelenting slay

Every long shift had to end eventually, each long day had to find an end, but it was always a most welcome sight to return to Hogsmeade. No matter how tired, Selma always allowed herself that stroll through the little village. Every now and then she'd spot someone familiar or find a bargain in one of the shops that she simply couldn't pass up. Life had returned to normal, it had only taken a year for the feeling to actually settle in.
Tumblr media
The witch found herself smiling as she walked down the small path, having just come out of Tomes & Scrolls when she spotted Molly. "Look at you! The little one's grown so much." Another evidence to show how fast time could pass. Within the blink of an eye the world could change, and they'd all be none the wiser unless they looked back occasionally. "They have rather nice deals at Honeydukes. Just in case you were considering that." The witch glanced at Molly, then at the little child in her arms. - @ofmollyweasley
molly weasley strolled through the charming streets of hogsmeade, the quaint village bathed in the soft glow of early afternoon sunlight. as she navigated the cobblestone paths, her hand instinctively cradled her swollen belly, a secret shared only with her and the tiny life growing within. the bustling ambiance of the wizarding village surrounded her – laughter from the three broomsticks, the occasional chatter of students in their hogwarts robes, and the delightful aroma of honeydukes wafting through the air.
in the midst of this magical atmosphere, molly held ron close to her chest, his baby giggles harmonizing with the sounds of hogsmeade. the crisp autumn air carried a hint of excitement, and as molly gazed at the display of magical sweets in shop windows, it was evident that this wasn't her first magical journey into motherhood. with the knowledge that this was her sixth pregnancy, the subtle rounding of her belly was already apparent, creating a heartwarming picture of a seasoned mother sharing a tender moment with her youngest. as she and ron enjoyed the village's charm, molly cherished the quiet thrill of knowing that another weasley was on the way, their secret shared with the magical tapestry of hogsmeade as witnesses to this early chapter of a new family adventure.

actually speaking of molly being cut from the gilded cage mission, I also think that would've been a perfect opportunity for a little side conflict with her and dutch as a potentially missable event that happens at the party. like maybe she's glad to finally be included in something and she's determined to make good on the opportunity by trying hard to dig for info, but dutch acts wholly unimpressed by her efforts and they argue, then for the rest of the night she just drinks and sulks. could've been another small indicator of how badly their relationship is going at that point. OR she tries to dig for info by flirting with a partygoer and dutch gets mad about it and she argues that he has some nerve to scold her for doing that when he barely behaves like a partner to her, then she storms away and ends up begrudgingly sitting beside lillian powell and getting drunk with her. idk, I just think it could've been a bit better/more interesting than just bill stumbling over high society conversation

DP x DC x ...
So, I know that we collectively despise the Rolling Terf (and I totally agree), but! If we proclaim the death of the author of the HP series just for this prompt, are y'all willing to hear me out? 🥺
Here's the thing: before being introduced to the Batfam and Bruce's adoptions problem, for me the Ultimate Children Adopter was Molly Weasley.
Never leave an unattended child in her area, otherwise they'll be adopted and receive a knitted sweater for Christmas.
Despite her lacks (like trusting Dumbledore's opinion too much and allowing Harry to get back to the Dursley every summer, favoring Ginny over her other children, etc.), her motherhenning is top tier and her hospitality is the best...
And may the Ancient have mercy on the soul of anyone who threatens her children, because she won't. (I still cackle like a mad creachure every time I remember that the only swear-bomb of the series was dropped by her while fighting Bellatrix! (≧▽≦))
Does all of this ring a bell? 〜(꒪꒳꒪)〜
Now! For the actual prompt:
Should Bruce and Molly meet because of Danny (either Fenton or Phantom) shenanigans, what would happen?
Would they fight each other over his custody or become a combined monster of love, care and "look at our boy wrong and you'll end as a teapot then shipped to an undisclosed location"? 👀👀

@mcllydavis
Terence had agonized over the text for a long time before sending it, a simple "Hey, wanna get dinner? Like, an official date, if you want!" then tossed the phone aside and yanked his hoodie down over his head to wallow in anxiety until the affirmative response came back. The details had fallen into place after that, and now here he was, shuffling his feet in dress pants and a button down, holding a small bouquet of flowers on the sidewalk outside of Tiana's Place, waiting for Molly.
He checked his phone; still another five minutes before they agreed to meet. Terence swallowed and put his phone away, checking his hair in the reflection of the front window, before his eyes caught Molly watching him in the reflection and he whirled, face flushing red.
"Oh, hey! Wow-" he stopped and looked her up and down, mouth open in a perfect 'o'.
"You look great!"

“that must have been quite some dream.” || Molly @daydrcamings
Will hadn’t seen her since he’d arrived here, part of him wondered if she hated him, after all the pain he’d brought into their marriage he wouldn’t have blamed her after all she was his chance at normal life Hannibal had told him he’d never have yet the first chance he got to return to the killer's side he didn’t even hesitate…he didn’t have to go off the edge with him but part of him could see the beauty in what they’d done, there be no Will Graham without Hannibal Lecture and he’d allowed that thought to guide his actions. “I’m not even sure it was a dream” His words came softly hinting at his unsurety as to where they even stood in this moment. “How have you been Molly?”

Okay so two (2) people validated me with this which is more than enough for me to throw caution to the wind, so we begin the ‘Ghost and Molly McGee’ theory/headcanon thread with:
A Theory on Ghost Digestive Systems
So anyone who's played DND will know of a very famous (and famously hated) monster called a gelatinous cube. It's essentially a 5ft by 5ft cube of jello that disintegrates and absorbs everything inside it thanks to being made mostly of acid. Ghosts work in the same principle, their innermost layer of ectoplasm is acidic and, given enough time, can dissolve anything from bone to metal to glass, leaving no waste material behind. This inner layer of ectoplasm shines brighter than the outer layer because not only is it usually working to absorb things and outputting energy, that's where extra energy from food is stored. The colour also acts as a defense mechanism, like the bright spots on butterfly wings, warning of danger when touched.
Ghosts have almost complete control over their forms, as seen by the varied and extensive scare forms at their disposal. When not in use (the default for most ghosts, as they have no need to actually consume nutrition), the inner layer neutralizes into a thicker form of ectoplasm in order to provide an extra layer of stability to the form. In the event of discoporation or bisection, a ghost can flash-neutralize the ectoplasm to avoid detection from another creature, who would notice mild acid burns after passing through an odd cold patch of air. In this way, they can become safe to touch. While this action is usually intentional, it can sometimes be performed as a subconscious reflex.
To address flatulence: The more a ghost consumes, especially food products as opposed to solid material, the more air pockets add up within the inner ectoplasm. The grain from a loaf of bread can be dissolved, but the air of the crust less so. These little pockets of air gravitate towards each other to maintain the form's balance and, when they reach such a size where they can be expelled, they are. And ghosts, as we’ve seen, are creatures of habit (despite most of these habits being unnecessary after death, such as sleeping or breathing). The form remembers what it was like to be flesh and blood, remembers how things were supposed to work. Sense memory is a strong factor on the subconscious, the body knows what it feels like to sleep and breathe which is why those patterns continue after death. As it stands, this is also why the air pockets in a ghost’s ectoplasm are released through the ass

Actually loving how the different critical role campaigns exist in relation to themselves, each other, and the world at large, and how their different narrative structures ripple outward.
Campaign 1 was story driven. Not to say the characters weren’t deeply important and dynamic, but their growths were largely driven through and by the plot. They were on a mission and grew along with that mission, and as a mission driven archetypically heroic party they also left very few loose threads by the end.
Campaign 2, meanwhile, was more insular and character driven. Where Vox Machina traveled all over the world and planes outside the main setting of Tal'Dorei, the Mighty Nein largely stayed in Wildemount, allowing for a more intimate and political look at it’s cultures. Instead of story and characters revolving around plot, plot revolves around character. We only got to see Yasha’s tribe in the epilogue, because her growth didn’t require facing them. We didn’t face Uk’otoa, because Fjord’s arc culminated in embracing the Wildmother, not in facing his former patron. Similarly, while the entire Assembly was an antagonistic force, only Trent was dealt with directly, because he was the only one directly tied into one of the pc's arcs.
The larger world building let us know about Molaesmyr and Ludinus, about the Luxon, even about Ruidus to some extent, but the Mighty Nein weren’t a typically heroic party here to save the world and solve every mystery, but a group of broken people finding it in themselves to heal, and to end their journey ready to face greater threats in the future. They were still getting the Assembly and Uk'toa, they just weren’t doing it in the main narrative, because they were irrelevant to the growth of the characters. Of course, that also left a lot of threads hanging, which brings us to campaign 3.
By now, it seems pretty clear that campaign 3 is another plot driven story rather than the more meandering, character driven narrative of c2. That leaves the cast free to pick up on the many larger mysteries in world building left in the wake of the last campaign. What is the nature of the Luxon? Of Ruidus? Of Aeor and the aeormatons? Half the party was just plopped down not far from the ruins of Molaesmyr, Ludinus' former home - will they go there? One of them is tied to the Luxon and dunamancy, another to Ruidus and Predathos - will we get to know the true nature of these entities?
Much like c1, the characters of this campaign are driven and shaped by events rather than shaping their own events. The difference is, c1 began as a blank slate, whereas c3 has history. Powerful allies and enemies alike are tied to former campaigns because such is the nature of the world. Mysteries left to solve were introduced earlier but approached only now because this is a campaign whose narrative and characters are served by approaching them. The world is dynamic. Alive. One story merges into the next, and new heroes are born on the shoulders of the last, ready to be shaped by their own narrative.

Book in hand, Emmeline stood minding her own business when the noise around her picked up. As though a whirlwind had been unleashed onto the area around her, the noise grew louder until voices mixed in with the chaos going on all around her. At first not one to bother with the mess, eventually she found herself looking up from the book with a frown on her face. From there she observed the other, the children a clear storm blazing their path through the shop around them. Emmeline’s head tilted to the side, she observed the mess unfold with a mix of amusement and annoyance, the latter still hidden far enough. “A night with the gnomes may just be the one thing they need.” Her eyes went searching as she glanced over at Molly.
Tumblr media
There was something about the whole situation that reminded her of her Hogwarts days, in less than a funny way. “Then again, not all things can be fixed.” The witch tried the civil route before her attention went back to her book. “Not the only two children, I presume?” While her eyes went back to the book, seemingly reading she was still very much paying attention to what was happening around. “You seem to be quite in charge.” If they were to listen, that is. And then she smiled, just the right amount to seem friendly enough. Mask up at all times.
Who: Emmeline, @fidemaledicta
Molly hadn’t expected the jump from three kids to five to be so hard. Her and Arthur were already outnumbered when she had given birth to Percy. But there was something about a set of twins running around, while also having three older children. It hit differently. Truthfully, though, it wasn’t the amount of children that made it hard. Fred and George were mischievous. They knew how to push buttons and get away with things. It wasn’t surprising, considering who they took after. Her own brothers were also just as mischievous.
The best was when they both decided they wanted to try out a new trick in public. It happened often enough that she knew just by their body language when it was going to happen. Just as it was Fred and George were about to run in opposite directions, Molly used her mom voice. “Fred and George. If you do what I think you’re about to do,” she threatened. “You’ll be spending the night with the gnomes.”
