“You know,” Liam began again, his voice dreamy and slurred as he stumbled along, “you kinda look like him.”

Theo, who had been biting his cheek to keep from laughing for the last ten minutes, tilted his head. “Oh yeah? Do I?”

“Yeah…” Liam squinted up at him like he was trying to solve a Rubik’s Cube with his mind alone. “Same eyes. Same hair. But my boyfriend, he’s… uh, what’s the word…” He snapped his fingers weakly before his expression lit up. “Sharper.”

Theo nearly tripped over his own feet. “Sharper?”

“Yeah! Like, all his features are super sharp. Like a hot knife.” Liam waved a wobbly hand around before suddenly gasping in realization. “You, though… you’re, um…” He flailed his hand vaguely again, then pointed at Theo with an air of drunken enlightenment. “A spoon.”

Theo stopped dead. “A spoon?”

“Yeah! Smooth. No edges. Very nice. Very safe,” Liam said with a solemn nod, completely oblivious to the sheer emotional turmoil Theo was currently experiencing—somewhere between insulted, amused, and dangerously charmed. “But my boyfriend? He’s… ugh, what’s the word—intense! He’s like…” Liam snapped his fingers dramatically and almost fell over. “A sexy dagger.”

Theo ran a hand down his face, willing himself not to lose it. “A sexy dagger?”

“Exactly!” Liam beamed, sighing wistfully. “Man, I miss him. I wish he was here right now.”

“Now here’s where it gets interesting,” Hayden said, sliding the charts closer together. “Liam and Theo together? Absolutely electric.”

“Electric?” Liam echoed, his voice climbing an octave. “What does that even mean?”

“It means you’re like two magnets,” Hayden explained, tapping the charts for emphasis. “You’re opposites in a lot of ways—Liam, you’re all about open affection and big gestures. Theo, you’re more private and guarded. But those differences? They create this intense, magnetic pull. You challenge each other in ways that are both infuriating and… transformative.”

“Transformative,” Theo repeated dryly. “Fascinating.”

“Actually, it is,” Hayden said, undeterred. “Liam’s Cancer Moon craves emotional closeness, while Theo’s Scorpio Venus is all about depth and trust. Together, it’s a push-and-pull dynamic. Challenging, sure, but when it works? Unstoppable.”

Mason clapped his hands together. “I love this. Hayden, you’re a genius.”

“Don’t encourage her,” Theo muttered, though his crossed arms and tight jaw betrayed his discomfort.

“Oh, come on,” Alec said, leaning forward with a wicked grin. “This is gold. I mean, we’ve all seen the way you two are with each other.”

“There is no ‘way,’” Liam snapped, his blush reaching his ears.

Before the turian galactic expansion, the worship of Titans used to be more widespread. Titans are described as gaint creatures that roamed the planet back in ancient time, and left their footprints behind—a common theory that those titans might have been the reapers visiting to gauge the development of turian civilisation.

Greek mythology also has Titans in it, ones that have been said to bring entropy upon the earth wherever they roamed, tyrannical and destructive, the forefathers of the greek gods of which they came and eventually usurped.

And we know that by the Stone Age of humanity, the reaper attack hasn't occurred just yet; by that time, protheans were still around and kicking, observing humanity from Mars.

The Stone Age ended between 4000 BC and 2000 BC. The widespread oral poetry that helped pass down the myths we now know as greek mythology started around 1800 BC to 1701 BC.

This offers a window ranging from 2,200 to 299 years in which the reapers invaded and defeated the protheans before roaming the rest of the galaxy and observing the infantile sentient civilisations.

It's very possible that both the turian Titans and greek mythology Titans originated from tales of the reapers in the world of Mass Effect.

And if I'm allowed more creative liberty, I'd say some tales of the mythology gods wars were heavily inspired by witnessing the reaper/prothean conflict on Mars, with the planet being very visible to Earth dating back to the ancient Egyptians. The explosion of ships in space, the red lasers of reapers splitting the sky. It does imply that the addition of titans into mythology is a late one which came after the Olympians' myths.

Jupiter was confused and that clearly showed on her face as she watched the guy walk away back to his friends without even standing a chance of talking to her. "Since when?" Theo watched as the other man approached him, remaining steady in his stance and unphased by the proximity; how could he when they had developed what they had? At first, he had tried to ignore the attention that Valentin had begun to show him, but when reporting back to his superiors, they had insisted he go along with it for the sake of building trust. So he had done, seemingly giving in to the advances until it eventually built further between them. The worst part was, now Theo had begun to feel genuine about the intimacy they had. He hadn't felt like this in years, hadn't experienced anything like this before, and he had to keep reminding himself that it was just the job. It wasn't real.

Feeling the arms wrapping around him, he leaned into the embrace and nuzzled against Valentin's shoulder, feeling hands running up and down his sides.

It felt well weird being here, getting a tattoo in this place. A town he didn't even live in. But, he couldn't risk doing it in his hometown of Gearhart; what is someone saw him? Not that he'd exactly be able to hide it anyways, but, at least now it could be a surprise for everyone. "I've been thinking about getting this for a bit." he stated, trying to formulate the idea of how to explain it as he spoke. "Gardenia's are important to me, and so are giraffes." he stated. "So I'd like to somehow incorporate them both." Theo wasn't the smartest man when it came to decision making, but, he wasn't stupid. He knew how to play things right; and it just so happened that gardenias were his wife and Sawyer's favorite flower - what a coincidence - and giraffes also happened to be the favorite animal of his child; it was just an added bonus that it was Sawyer's too.
