infamy drag show
@sloedownwulf
It's crazy how much these outfits can dig into your hips - that's what he's been thinking for the entire runtime of that song.
Raf isn't sure how they did, but people clapped, and cheered, and Theo seemed to be having fun, and like, you know - its like X-Treme Karaoke kind of, so isn't all that the point? Having fun being free to be whatever and however?
A little extra meaning to that here in Port Leiry, maybe.
He picks Theo up once they're like, backstage back stage, and does a little spin thing, which sets his wig and tiny cowboy hat askew, and he plants a kiss on her before he sets her down and walks back with her to where they can rest a bit. Raf (Miss Van Queef, sorry) perches on the edge of a dressing table and smiles to her. "Well, pardner, did you have a good time?" It's a soft, but genuine question, asked as he's pulling his hair on straight.

surprisingly, she's truly not at all performing. she's simply channeling ms. carpenter for the night to have fun, love on her friends, and spend somebody else's money.

AUTUMN HOWELL ↪ She's not adventurous enough to try drag, but she has money to play around with nowadays, not to mention a girlfriend to impress - and it is Valentine's Day, after all. Autumn's not who she was a year ago, so she might as well not act like it.

Charity Drag Race at Infamy
who: open! (1/4)
Briar sips her fruity, boozey little drink out of the little clear flimsy cup and chews on the little plastic twig and looks around a sea of revelry that would pry the devil out the ground to join. Lara, the vampyre, has gone off somewhere, she thinks to dance, and her brother, the other vampyre, is being an insufferable twit.
Dressed in some of the more chaste offerings she has come to adore for her bewitching dances at Lucia's club - though chaste applied hither is so loosely done it might well as not apply - she instead goes to hunt - perhaps to find Lara, to dance, or perhaps to find Daniel, to annoy. She finds someone, alright, and points to them for a moment with a wide smile.
"Yes! Work thee, queen!" She says to some such or another, raising her hands, drink and all, into the air in a vast wooping cheer before she rests her other hand back on her drink, perched in front of her. "Be you man or woman or both or neither or-" she leans in conspiratorially here -"perhaps all?"

When Daniella turns to face her, stone face or otherwise, Autumn isn't making any real attempt to mask anything, her contempt on full display in the way her frowning face seems like its being held up entirely by the strength of her lower lip. Her fingers pick at eachother, and her eyes narrow and un-narrow, looking the woman over like it's the first time she's seen her. It isn't, though - and that's the problem.
She'd escaped that night with little more than an oddly vague memory of watching a movie with a... a what, a friend? It didn't bother her that she had no memories of Daniella before that night, or since. Then, by the light of the full moon, clarity.
Clarity and humiliation and frustration and anger.
Autumn's voice creeps low - but she knows a vampire will hear it -"I don't really fucking care." It's more growl than anything. She's angry - frustrated - because Daniella's right; this isn't the place for it. Or the time. There are people here uninvolved, who should never be involved with the matters of monsters. But god, that little sensitive creature is awakened at the memory, and it wants so badly to bite and tear and snap. "Just know I know." Maybe this girl doesn't care - maybe she does. But Autumn wants her to know she knows. "You can say sorry now."

She’s having a good time with both Chamomile and Blair, the witches and her having smoked one of Cham’s coined girl blunts before they’d gotten here. And she’s half sure Blair has been staring at her most of the night already. Which she is pleased with, perhaps she had dressed so scantily this evening for the witch’s attention. She was on her way to get more drinks for the table, it made sense, she was the most graceful, and if she set her face a certain way crowds would part for her easily.
Even in a packed event, as she walks she keeps the disinterest bitch of a persona on and as normal they move from her path, but something in her tells her she’s being trailed. The plod of sneakered feet paces not too far behind, the scent of wet fur and earth intruding her nose, she’s being stalked. Not followed.
She keeps blue forward, she doesn’t want trouble, just wants to have a fun night with her friends. Hopefully, go home with Blair at the end of the night. The witch had commented on her being her Lyft despite her lack of a vehicle, probably a play on words. She’s almost to the bar when the wolf finally speaks. It’s demanding, of course, it is, she didn’t need a wolf’s nose to know that aggression is rolling off the other. The way her sneakers had been hitting the floor had been telling enough. An angered march.
The voice sounds familiar and altogether different. When she turns she’s surprised to see the driver from her late-night snack, Autumn. Her face doesn’t betray her shock, because the last she’d seen the girl she had very much been human. “Autumn,” she says with no pretense of not recognizing her. “I don’t know if this is the best place to talk.”
