Words: 25,547 Rating: Teen Archive Warning: No Archive Warnings Apply and Creator Chose Not to Use Archive Warnings (nothing explicit/involving sex/interface occurs) Summary:
In the bright lights of a party in honor of a prevailing peace treaty, all is consumed by noise and cheap high-grade. In a short-lived journey to replenish a pair of drinks, caught amidst a set of familiar faces, one can’t help but wonder.
How much poison does it take to kill a faction leader?
Well, it depends on which one.
My Thoughts:
This is a fun (recent) post-war attempted murder mystery!
Thundercracker offering his services as a detective to solve the mystery is the best part of it all XD

It always seemed like the staff on EarthSpark didn’t fully understand what they were doing, as the “G1.5” setting could be rife with other characters related to G1.
For example, the show, at least at first, was big on allegories between Transformers and humans, and considering official media and thirsty fans, you’d think some humans in-story would have romantic relationships with TFs.
So I thought it’d be funny if Astoria was present, with her openly dating Powerglide, with Powerglide being the stepdad to Astoria’s daughter. Astoria’s company is a big shareholder in GHOST, and wants to see results in apprehending all evil Decepticons on the planet after their role in her father and previous husband’s demise following a botched energy scheme. Like many, she’s not particularly pleased at Megatron’s presence, and more than once has said she wants him arrested too once matters are settled. Astoria fell for Powerglide the moment he saved her and her daughter Charlie from their collapsing company building. Charlie’s a little unsure about Powerglide at first, because she thought he was a Decepticon Jet, but was won over by the plane’s charm and that he took her into the clouds to see the beauty of it all.
Charlie is best friends with Max, the son of GHOST agent Alanna and Autobot Seaspray. The two kids often tag along with the Witwiccans (Phoenix and Grahm’s Terran group) and the Maltobots. The two don’t receive Cyber Sleeves though, probably due to being too young for the responsibility.
Beachcomber I saw as a victim of Mandroid’s reprogramming, one of several Autobots and Decepticons forced into the Arachnamech faction. Upon being freed of that, he becomes another mentor figure to the Terrans, passing on his laid back “hippie” way of thinking to the more high strung Phoenix, Ethan, Jawbreaker, Thrash and Camshaft.
He’s one of the few Autobots Dot actually likes, as they both bond over a shared love of nature.
Gears is trans in this version of events, though in story it’s not really dwelled on. The only real hint she is beyond just being another gender bend like Skywarp and Frenzy is Gears remarking she got an overhaul during the Earth conflict and never felt better. Something about upgrading from a stick shift, as a confused Thrash would describe it. Gears is still a bit of a grump though, annoyed at Megatron being an Autobot and having an existential crisis at the possibility the Transformers stuck on Earth are the only ones left in the universe. It’s this moment that sees Hashtag use her internet power to send a signal out into space to see whether or not other Autobots still exist. Gears is pleased to later learn Cybertron is ok, but sour at it being under Decepticon control at the moment. She also is surprised to hear the Colony Worlds are for the most part still intact after the Cosmic Rust incident, and several are actually descendants of Quintus Prime like the Terrans.

"You're doing so good," Optimus says, and Megatron can feel how the Prime closes in on him, how Optimus crowds around him. One of the Prime's servos is gently holding Megatron in place, carefully gripping his waist. The other servo caresses the Decepticon's node, sending waves of sensation through the silver mech, causing him to tense and untense, clench, unclench.
They should not be doing this. Both of them know that. It would be an act of treason if they were caught (though is it really treason if they're the leaders of their respective sides?) The only reason they were able to in the first place is because, for all the patrolling the Autobots and Decepticons do, they really only patrol around their specific bases- there's an entire dead area where no troops are set to patrol, with ample room for... hiding. And such activities. It was a no-brainer to meet up in this dead zone.
Prowl, ever the dutiful Autobot, had tried to tag along, but Optimus assured him he was only going for a drive, and he would be back in a few joors. Contrarily, Starscream was practically shoving Megatron out of the base, clearly ecstatic to be "in charge" for a while.
Now, though, now none of that mattered. The only thing that mattered in this exact moment was that they were together. The way Megatron shook against Optimus, the way he had purposefully shut down his vocals so as to not embarrass himself, the way his valve would clench down around nothing, leaking, begging desperately for attention- to Optimus, that was what mattered.
"So good," Optimus repeats, voice low in Megatron's audials. "Such a good mech. Being so polite for me." And Megatron was being polite- he was letting Optimus work, letting Optimus make him feel good. Megatron had a habit of turning their trysts into fights, into clashes for power, but this time he didn't. Instead he let Optimus treat him the way Optimus wanted to treat him, sweetly, kindly, gently... maybe a little teasing.
Megatron's vocals crackle and fritz as he reboots them, bringing them back online. "Prime," he grumbles, still clearly trying to contain himself. "Prime, I'm- I'm close."
Optimus knows he is, he can tell by the way Megatron squirms against him, can tell by how the warlord begs with his body, hips bucking into every touch Optimus has to give him. "Do you want me to speed up?"
"Yes," Megatron begs, voice low, "yes, Optimus, please."
Behind his battlemask, Optimus can't help but smirk, and slowly, he pulls his hand away. "I don't know," Optimus says. "I don't know if you've earned it yet."
Megatron begins thrashing, protesting Optimus' retreat. "No! No, no, Prime, what are you doing!"
"I want you to earn it," Optimus states simply. "You've been very good this whole time, but every other time we've had sex, you turn it into a fight for power." Megatron turns to look back at him, faceplates flushed pink, optical ridges furrowed. "If you can be good for another twenty kliks, I'll let you overload."
"Twenty kliks?!" Megatron shouts.
Optimus falters slightly. "Is that too long?"
After a moment, Megatron sighs, seeming to pick up on what Optimus is trying to do. "No, it's not. I will not turn it into a fight," he announces. "I can... be good. For twenty damned kliks."
Having lost some of his confidence, Optimus asks, "Are you certain that's not too long?"
"Prime," Megatron grumbles, "if you do not get back to what you were doing, neither of us will be overloading at all."
Optimus exhales a nervous laugh. "I'm not sure I'd call that attitude being good."
"Would you rather I beg?" Megatron asks, and for as grumpy as he sounds, it does, at the same time, sound like an actual question.
"Maybe I would," Optimus replies softly, and Megatron looks away from him after that, face a bright pink.
"You intend to kill me."

Quick rules post!!
I take requests for both drabbles and headcanons about a whooooole lot of transformers continuities. There's no hard limit on how many characters in one ask, but remember that the more characters you ask for, the longer it will take. An ask might not always get done in a timely manner, and I hold the right not to respond if I'm uncomfortable or if I simply have no answer I could think of.
Sometimes I post nsfw, it will always be given the #valveplug tag and marked as mature.
Addendum: I post a lot about my little fan project called Wayward Sparks, feel free to block that tag if you're just here for the canon stuff. But if you really wanna know more about it you can ask 👉👈

You know, the thing about TFP is that there’s such an imbalance of team size that physically, realistically and logically, the Autobots Should Not Have Won. Even excluding the fodder-type mecha of Vehicons/Eradicons and Insecticons, the named ‘Cons alone outnumber all of Team Prime.
And as much as I have a limited number of known Autobots in my head, a downside of growing up with TFA instead of ‘millions of characters’ G1 (excluding the bastardised Bayverse and the CG horror of Beast Machines), I do have an idea of how the numbers can be evened out. This may potentially be an Altered Loyalties post, but this is mostly a hypothetical.
For one thing, I’m all for narrative parallels or - in this case - narrative opposites. The Decepticons may still very well outnumber the Autobots, still have a myriad of Vehicons/Eradicons in their initial forces (perhaps boosting their numbers late game with Insecticons to really sell that ‘*chuckles* i’m in danger’ raised stakes a narrative should have), but they are rather centralised to a fixed location; The Nemesis.
Yeah yeah, the Nemesis is a moving ship, I know that- but it is the ONE SHIP and if you take that down, you take out the sole Decepticon base; Bulkhead managed to cripple the ‘Cons until Megan essentially injected zombie juice into its engine for fast repairs. It’s status as a motile base is it’s advantage, you cannot pinpoint its location unless it’s signal blockers are down, but it’s disadvantages is that one you damage it, you cannot rely on a secondary location for comms, safety nor resources.
But - increasing the number of mecha of course - Autobots have humans on their side, and in order not to be gunned down by them, they come to the American Government (and somewhat their Military by extention) to seek refuge and eventual collaboration (again as a narrative shift in the latter part of the story). Through this little alliance - outside of adding ‘morally grey’ to the ‘Bot - old military bases become the multiple bases of the Autobot forces, spreading out their numbers to where the ‘Cons cannot simply wipe them all out in one grand sweep.
Of course, the strength in this is that there are second chances, other groups and bases to bounce back off of and will not greatly inhibit Autobot forces. The drawback though is also obvious, with no singular location resources are spread across the country, continent or even planet if America dares reveal its bases in unceded foreign lands to outsiders, and the ‘Bots may either have one of everything in one base (reducing maximum benefits like a medic for every base but limited medical resources) or having individualised bases that - if felled - would completely erase one piece of the Autobot puzzle (having a designated communications base that gets EM bombed).
But, throughout this all, there’s both side’s relationship with humanity as a whole that contributes to their uh… concealment I suppose.
The Decepticons would rather Not with humans and be sure to mainly stay away from more populated areas, typically flying the Nemesis higher than standard commuter planes and military jets would tend to fly. However, without the assistance of any human government, any flight-frame spotted scouting (individually or in a group) would be tagged as unmarked/unauthorised vehicles and be listed under ‘Decepticon sightings’ if the identified model number matches any US Military flight vehicles or sports a remarkable colour.
The Autobots benefit from humanity by having a ball in their court for any of their own flight-frames, as much as they don’t particularly require it as the ‘Cons may want. But that’s not the points that I wanted to specifically share.
A thought occurred, whether from seeing something about Communications Officer Jazz or something of the sort, but knowing what I do know of Jazz, having a designated radio station - one either of military origin or even simply of ‘clearly a human radio station’ - the Autobots could simply rely on the fact that the Decepticons couldn’t care less about human culture enough to seriously investigate the new human radio station who’s entire gimmick is being an alien wanting to share their favourite Earth songs.
So essentially, where the Decepticons rely on avoiding interaction as much as is feasibly possible, the Autobots are learning what humans think and playing the ‘if i say the truth and nothing but the truth, they will not believe me and assume i’m joking’ in order to ‘blend in’ and avoid the public eye with reverse psychology.
oh, just wait until skyquake learns about human radio and knock out gets super into human movies, just imagine the facepalming and ‘it was so obvious why didn’t we think of that’

My TF faves are my faves because they all fit the following:
1. I relate to them 2. They have traits I aspire to 3. They sexy and I don't need any other reason to love them
Megatron: (G1, BW, BM, SL, TFA, TFP, PW, WFC) In some cases I relate, I definitely admire his strength, fearfulness and willpower and he's sexy and that's all I need :>
Ultra Magnus: (G1, HD, RiD01, TFP, WFC) I project in weird ways to him, he's a handsome man, and what wouldn't I give to be as organised as this guy and get my life in order
Starscream: (G1, BWII, SL, GF, TFP, WFC) Oh I spout nonsense he would say on a daily basis, his determination is to be admired and sexyyyyy
Roddy: (G1, SL, Cbv) Found me a soulmate in that clusterfuck of a leader who tries his best and looks stunning while doing it. 10/10 would bang
Dinobot: (BW) Don't relate too much to him apart from his desire to see Megatron six feet under, but I always admire me a HERO QnQ I need a tissue-
Cyclonus: (G1) Relating to him thanks to my work experience, also he's pretty as fuck and I always admire loyalty and patience <3
Windblade: (PW) PRETTY <3 <3 <3 Also I love her Prime Wars version and LOVE to see an angry lady confronting her anger after having done bad things because of it! But she remains compassionate and heroic throughout the show despite it as well! PS: What sets her apart from a character like TFP Arcee, for me, is that Arcee never truly got to make bad decisions arising from her anger and was just told to suck it up, basically - a story I don't find very productive.
Windblade did kill people and admitted to being wrong afterwards, which, despite the flaws of PW to tell a story in a decent way, is still in the text. I find that to be a better way of exploring anger in fiction than just the usual "Anger is bad, stop feeling it" like TFP Optimus says it.
Meaning that TFP Arcee never truly got to confront or reflect on her anger, and that's boring to me and doesn't teach a good lesson.
Sixshot: (HM) Not relating much to him tbh, but I love his design and colours and I always admire me strength AND definitely love me a noble demon! Total evil bad guy having a soft spot for kids is also a trope that nurtures my skin and grows my crops <3
Ginrai: (MF) I can't say I relate much to this human male japanese truck driver, (though I too love to look at myself in the mirror and make dumb jokes), but I love this dude's heroism and more importantly, his journey to heroism! Also he be fine looking both as a human and as a robot :D (dude got epic wings in his final form :>)
Galvatron: (G1, HM, SL) I am not saying I aspire much of his traits, but I do relate to this guy, in which I mean that I too am quick to yell nonsense and laugh like a maniac :D ~ Also check his thighs 😘👌
If anyone else wants to write about their faves and why the love'em, feel free to tag me in it <3

Close Your Eyes to This Disaster Chapter 3: Now I’m a Bird...
Rating: Explicit Warnings: Chose Not to Use, Rape/Non-Con Category: Other Fandom: Transformers G1 Relationships: Megatron/Sunstreaker, Megatron/Sideswipe, Sideswipe & Sunstreaker Characters: Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Bluestreak, Tracks, Mirage, Ratchet, Ironhide, Megatron, Soundwave Additional Tags: Dubcon, Sticky, Abusive Relationships, Mind Games, Manipulation, Gaslighting, Canon-Typical Violence Words: 3593
( Previous )
Once their recharge cycles ended at the time they had assigned, they found Bluestreak already awake but still in their berth, watching as their systems onlined fully. He knew well enough to stay still and quiet during the process, lest their reflexes kick in effect before conscious thought caught up and resulted in injuries. He was a brave enough mech to risk that every time, but as most times, nothing bad happened. The twins merely woke up as they should have and turned their helms to meet Bluestreak’s optics.
He smiled at them. “’Charge well?”
“Ayup,” Sideswipe nodded, a smile already beginning to creep onto his face. He barely ever seemed to get rid of it. “What about you? How you feeling?”
“Good.” Bluestreak answered, seemingly honestly. “Thanks for letting me stay the night. I don’t want to be a bother but it’s always so helpful when I don’t need to be alone and I didn’t want to disturb Prowl because he already barely recharges enough despite Jazz always trying to get him to take proper care of himself– Oh! You have a patrol, do you need to go?”
“About now to get my morning stuff done, yeah,” Sideswipe said. They were somewhat glad he didn’t need to interrupt the talkative gunner when Bluestreak did it himself, this time.
But true to what they said, the twins pushed themselves to sitting, Bluestreak following suit. He was the first to get up, offering both of his servos to pull them up—one for Sideswipe, one for Sunstreaker. Both of the brothers took the smaller mech’s offer, and up they were. “What do you need to do before your patrol?” Bluestreak asked.
“Get in on Smoky’s bet for one,” Sideswipe told him, stretching his arms above his helm to some pleasant strain of stiff parts, and a few cracks. “Then hit the washracks so I’ll be all pretty and shiny in case we run into any Decepticons. Gotta look my best when kicking aft!”
Bluestreak laughed lightly and they all headed for the door, twins to see if Smokescreen wasn’t in the rec room, and Bluestreak to… Whatever he was going to do wherever. “Have a safe patrol without any ‘Cons showing up!” the gunner wished them in parting. Both of the twins gave him a wave of goodbye before they continued in the opposite direction down the offensively orange corridor.
Smokescreen was indeed in the rec room already, and Sideswipe wasn’t the only one who wanted to bet. His contribution was accepted with a wide grin from the Praxian and a, “You know you won’t win, right?”
Sideswipe just laughed. “Talk like that and a mech will start to think you don’t want anyone to bet. Nah, one of these days someone is gonna up Jazz. He’s not all-knowin’. I think.”
Smokescreen chuckled too. “Your loss, my profit.”
Their funds successfully reduced, the twins continued their way to the washracks. They weren’t the only occupants this time of the morning, but they ignored Tracks and Ironhide and merely claimed free showerheads for their own use.
“Don’t ya two have a patrol comin’ up?” Ironhide asked them, frowning in mild bewilderment at their somewhat unreasonable behavior.
Sideswipe had more giggles on offer. “Patrol’s no excuse to not be pretty!”
“…Riiiight,” was all Ironhide said to that, glancing from them to Tracks—likely with the thought that he was presently surrounded by some vain ass mecha and would find no understanding for his far more pragmatic approach to his looks. The old mech left soon after, clean but not particularly shiny. Sunstreaker shook his helm in disapproval before they focused back on the task at hand, resolutely ignoring Tracks as Tracks was ignoring them. Now maybe wasn’t the best time to get into a tussle. They wouldn’t have the time to fix themselves back up from all the scuffs and scratches that would result in.
Plating clean, they shined themselves up, finishing their work just in time for their damned patrol. Time to go undo everything they just did. Sigh.
They transformed at the Ark’s entrance and peeled off with speed Prowl would have disapproved of, but what was the point of following the ridiculous human rules when they weren’t humans? The inherently inferior organics may not have been able of safely driving at the speeds a Cybertronian could handle easily with their superior senses and reaction times, but that wasn’t exactly their problem, was it? They wouldn’t crash into anyone, so no harm done.
All that in mind, they barely slowed down when they reached the populated roads, weaving through the human traffic and earning themselves countless of blaring horns. It was quite aggravating, and more often than not Sunstreaker was returning the same sound with far more aggression. And the humans thought they knew what road rage looked like… Give him enough reason and he’d show them.
But it was a long patrol they were on and eventually it took them back to more remote areas where they didn’t really see any of the fleshbags. Things went from exciting to relaxing as they drifted around curves in the road with screeching tires, leaving black marks behind as they controlled their bodies just perfectly enough that they didn’t go shooting straight off the asphalt. Prowl would have still given them slag for it, but he wasn’t here to see and the tactician wasn’t prone to act without actual proof of misconduct.
Which he usually had, but not in this.
Sideswipe’s singing of some random Earth song was mostly drowned out by the rev and roar of their engines, but Sunstreaker still tuned in on that sound to enjoy it. If nothing else, Earth was relatively worry-free for low ranking soldiers like them, that didn’t have any too heavy responsibilities and mostly just needed to follow orders. Some might have considered the fact the war was still ongoing and they very much at frontlines of it quite stressful all on its own, but those were the kind of details that didn’t bother the twins all that much. War and battles gave them something to do and let them live according to their nature, and it wasn’t as if they feared pain and injuries—or death, even if the goal was to stay alive.
Speaking of staying alive, though… The ping on their scanners was entirely unexpected when patrols were often completely uneventful, but there it was and they couldn’t deny it when both of their frames registered. And not just that, but there were two pings once they looked closer.
And they could recognize them. The desire to not suffer a painful death had them hitting their brakes and coming to a halt to hesitate in peace, because Megatron was a mech even they weren’t good enough to take on—and Soundwave wasn’t that much less dangerous, in all honesty.
What the pit were they doing here, though? There was nothing here, as far as the twins knew. Besides, it was just Megatron and Soundwave—and possibly his symbiotes—and no one else, unless someone was masking their signature.
::Sideswipe to Ark.::
::Bumblebee listening. What’s up?::
::I’ve got Megatron and Soundwave on my scanners at these coordinates.::
There was barely a pause before Bumblebee was already redirecting them to Prowl.
::Fall back and do not engage,:: came the clearly spoken order. This was the Prime’s business and the twins were to do no more than turn their pretty afts around and return to the Ark before anyone got the idea to attack them. If they were close enough to the Decepticon leader and his Third to sense them, then Decepticons were certainly also aware of the twins’ presence. Going all stealthy and trying to figure out what they were doing here wasn’t much of an option, especially so because the twins weren’t particularly trained in or built for stealth to begin with.
Sideswipe pouted, but… They were outmatched, and possibly outnumbered too. Engaging would be little short of a suicide. For those reasons, ::Copy that,:: was all Sideswipe said and they indeed followed the SIC’s instruction, turned around, and drove back for someone more suitable for the task to take their place and maybe learn what had brought Megatron to the area.
—————————————
But then that incident repeated. The twins would be away from the Ark, either patrolling or just otherwise enjoying their free time, and three more times they came close enough to Megatron and Soundwave that they could sense them. Each time they contacted the Ark, and each time they followed the orders to leave without engaging the Decepticons. It became just too much to be a mere coincidence, especially when it happened to no one else, but the twins were as confused over it as the command was when they were questioned on if they knew any possible reason for the odd behavior.
It did become a cause for some extra caution on their side, because despite what things sometimes looked like and what some thought, they didn’t have a rampant death wish. Or really any level of death wish. They would rather continue living, and the chances were good they weren’t going to do that if they took on Megatron and Soundwave with no backup—especially because there were the symbiotes to take into consideration, too. They were exceptionally good at beating the odds, but in this instance the odds were a little too much against them for even their own comfort. Just what were the chances they’d manage to off Megatron and end the war?
Slim. So slim.
Despite their increased awareness of their surroundings whenever they were further from the Ark, though…
It was just a joyride to burn off some of their restless energy. Sparring and fragging were all well and good too, but sometimes you just wanted to feel the road beneath your tires and the wind whipping over your hood. Some strangely acting warlord wasn’t going to take this away from them, and there was nothing in their scanners or other sensors any step of the way. They knew Teletraan was monitoring the situation as well, trying to compile enough data for Prowl to figure out what the rhyme and reason to Megatron’s behavior was when the only connecting element seemed to be the twins’ presence.
So they were pretty sure they were safe in the moment. That was, up until they took a sharp turn out of the forest to arrive to flat fields, and there he was in all of his towering glory, silver plating glinting in the bright sunlight.
The brothers transformed at once, skidding into a stop on their pedes. It didn’t take a genius to realize Megatron had opted to mask his signature this time around when he hadn’t done it the previous times.
For whatever reason.
And Soundwave was there too, of course, and when they tried to contact the Ark to let them know there was a bit of a situation happening, they found they were entirely blocked, likely by the telepath.
Sunstreaker growled, his optics snapping from the blue mech to Megatron, meeting the red gaze boring into him. Megatron’s focus was beyond intense in a way that Sunstreaker had certainly never experienced before courtesy of the tyrant, having not even been in his proximity before their unfortunate Earth landing.
And then Megatron moved. Sunstreaker jerked out of the way, Sideswipe into the opposite direction only to be accosted by Soundwave, but Megatron spun in place with surprising grace and then he was already an arm’s reach away from the golden twin—a bit closer than Sunstreaker would have liked him.
Well, slag that. With a rev of his engine Sunstreaker went on the offensive because playing some fragging game of evasion just wasn’t his style. He pulled his thermal sword from his subspace, which predictably had Megatron respond by extending the sword from his arm. What was more surprising was the fact Sunstreaker got the first attack in, as if Megatron was almost waiting on him.
But that aside, things progressed as expected—for a while. Megatron matched the harmful intent of Sunstreaker’s attacks and they both gained some injuries because dammit, Sunstreaker was good enough to provide even some opposition despite Megatron’s own power.
But it was his own skill and experience that, before long, alerted him to something being a bit off. How Megatron aimed his attacks… He had the opportunities to try for serious injuries, the kinds that would have left Sunstreaker open to the very real possibility of death were they successful, and that was what he would have expected the warlord would do.
Yet, he didn’t. Oh, Megatron was out to injure him, there was no doubt about that, but his aim seemed to be to cripple him just enough that Sunstreaker couldn’t have fought back anymore, instead of going for the kill directly.
It was a valid strategy, but one that seemed rather unnecessary right now. There was no doubt Megatron was the better fighter of them. Sunstreaker could hold his own, but only so for so long. Even now it was him that had more injuries on him, although none of them severe, and it was rather obvious he was the one who had to work harder to avoid greater damage.
He was confused, and Sideswipe’s situation didn’t clear matters any, because it looked a hell of a lot like Soundwave’s aim was the same: put him out of the fight, but not kill. Soundwave wasn’t a warrior of Megatron’s caliber so Sideswipe was having a bit more success on his end, but not so much he could have helped attack Megatron with Sunstreaker.
But out to kill or not, the brothers didn’t exactly fancy losing either. Who knew what Megatron had in store for them in that event—that, unfortunately, looked a bit inevitable as things stood. They were outmatched, simple as that.
Soon, though, not outnumbered. The roar of two familiar engines heralded the unusually welcome arrival of backup moments before Tracks and Mirage revved onto the scene from the forest. Ugh, saved by Tracks… But beggars couldn’t be choosers. Rather that than learning what exactly Megatron’s intent for them was, when there was no fucking way it was anything good.
As soon as they’d transformed, Mirage and Tracks already had weapons in hand, ready to assist, and that was where things deviated from what they would have expected, again. Instead of trying to slag the lot of them like Megatron very well may have been able to do, he… Retreated. As did Soundwave.
As in, they left the scene entirely. Both transformed, Megatron into a jet around Soundwave’s small boombox mode–
And then he was gone. Sunstreaker couldn’t do more than stare after the quickly disappearing triplechanger, befuddled.
“Are you alright?” Mirage asked, stepping up to him. Sunstreaker glanced at the spy, took stock of his damage reports, then nodded.
“Nothing major,” he grunted, turning back to the now rather destroyed road. Tracks was standing a few paces away with his arms crossed over his chassis, looking a little too smug. “Shove it,” Sunstreaker growled at him, jabbing a digit in his direction. “You try fighting that unmaker.”
Tracks only shrugged, not overtly impressed.
“How did you know to come? We couldn’t contact anyone,” Sideswipe asked, walking to the rest of them. Sunstreaker turned his attention back to Mirage at that, too.
“You fell off the radar entirely,” was the answer they were given. “We were redirected from our patrol to see why.”
“Good timing,” Sunstreaker conceded, earning a small smile from Mirage.
“I can still transform,” Sideswipe spoke up, inspecting his limbs. A little worse for wear, but still in one piece. “And probably drive too.”
Sunstreaker nodded that that held true for him as well and Mirage returned the gesture at the both of them. “If you don’t need Skyfire, we can drive back. We were given permission to not finish our patrol.”
They were getting an escort now, too?
Ugh.
———————————————
Again the command had so fragging many questions for them, most of which the twins had no answers for. No one had the answers. It was becoming clear Megatron was targeting them specifically and changing his methods to succeed in cornering them, but why?
No one had any good suggestions, especially after that day’s show. If it wasn’t to kill the twins and strip the Autobots of two of their best frontliners, then what the pit was it all for?
“I heard what happened,” Bluestreak said as a way of announcing himself, seconds before he sat down opposite from the twins at the rec room table they had claimed. “It’s really, really weird… Are you worried at all? It’s Megatron and he’s always bad news, and I’m worried ‘cause I don’t want anything to happen to you, you know?”
He was going to say something more too, but Sideswipe beat him to it before their friend could get going all proper and make it all the harder to get a word in. “Gotta admit it’s a little… Disconcerting?” his brother said, then leaned back in his seat and huffed, “But slag me if he’s gonna get to me.”
They had no idea how to take care of the whole situation, but their desire to not let Megatron do whatever the pit he wanted with them was very, very real. One way or another, they would find a solution, or pit, maybe Megatron would just get it out of his system and leave them alone despite taking such a sudden interest in them the moment they ended up on the same battlefields.
Bluestreak perhaps had a bit too much trust in them and their abilities, because he seemed satisfied with that answer—as if it really was as simple of a matter as ‘I don’t wanna’. The change in topic that followed when Bluestreak moved onto other subjects was at least welcome, and they spent another two hours listening to the gunner talk, sometimes squeezing in a comment of their own. Bluestreak was the one who excused himself first, having the late shift in monitor duty—he made a face when they told them that much and Sideswipe laughed—and the brothers left with him to return to their quarters. It was undeniably late.
But as it happened, Ratchet and Ironhide were standing right outside Ironhide’s door on the twins’ path, and completely heedless to the conversation he was interrupting, Sideswipe bounced right on over and wrapped his arms around the both of them. He got matching growls from the two old timers, and true to form, ignored that too. He still pulled back when Ironhide firmly patted his waist, grinning at the medic and the veteran warrior.
“So. Megatron?” Ironhide asked gruffly, crossing his arms as soon as he had enough room to do so and glaring at the brothers.
Those were the type of glares that meant Ironhide was worried, not that they hadn’t already known as much. Ratchet was too, after the earful and suspicious shortage of wrenches they had gotten during their repairs. The medic’s scowl also spoke of his concern.
“Sure is,” Sideswipe said chipperly, rocking back on his heels.
“Yer not worried over the whole… Thing?”
“I mean…” What to say, what to say. The two would just worry twice as hard if the twins admitted to harboring their own concerns, because the twins weren’t really smart enough to worry about most things—if they did, something had to be wrong. So, Sideswipe just shrugged after their pause of quick thought. “Not gonna gain anything by worrying over it.” That wasn’t a lie.
“You better be careful,” Ratchet growled at them. “I don’t want you in my medbay again because of this.”
“Yer damn bad at the fear business, and I ain’t saying you shouldn’t be, but I’d suggest still usin’ yer heads some,” Ironhide said. “You ain’t a match to him and you both know it.”
Sideswipe tilted his helm back and cast his optics to the ceiling with an exaggerated sigh. “Thanks for the lecture, dad. Totally already forgot how dangerous ol’ Megs is.”
Ironhide grunted, opened his mouth to say something–
And like quicksilver Sideswipe changed his own mood and demeanor to something salacious. He slithered back up to the older red mech, brushing his servo along Ironhide’s low back with that kind of grin. “Wanna come to my quarters an’ take my mind off things a little?”
“Oh for frag’s sake–“ the veteran started in a huff, but Sideswipe interrupted him right away.
“Exactly. ‘Less you’re busy?”
His brother’s optics shifted to Ratchet as well, but the medic put his hands up. “Don’t look at me, I’m not joining this time.”
Sunstreaker snorted. “Your loss.”
“Absolutely,” Ratchet deadpanned at him, but Ironhide took the turn to slip his servo to Sideswipe’s aft. The red twin squeaked when he gave it a squeeze.
“Alright, you have my interest,” Ironhide confirmed his intent and Sideswipe’s grin widened all the more.
“Sweet~ Come on, the night’s getting as old as you. No time like the present!” After a caress across Ironhide’s codpiece, Sideswipe skipped down the hall with such a bouncy step.
Ironhide rolled his optics after him with a, “Brat,” but nevertheless followed, as did Sunstreaker.
“Now’s your chance to frag that out of him,” Sunstreaker smirked.
“Damn well will, too,” Ironhide promised, earning himself a laugh from the golden twin.
Right along with Sideswipe’s hollered, “I heard that!”

Rules for Moblie: Under Read More because long.
Disclaimer
I do not own the rights to Starscream, the Transformers franchise, it's characters or it's lore. The rights belong to the lovely people at Hasbro. However: My portayal, headcanons and the such are my own! I also create my own icons and graphics (banners for pages, post and such) and ask you to DO NOT steal and claim them for your own.
Other Notes (idk what to call this part lol)
This blog is Completely headcanon based being there is no offical Transformers Prime Shattered Glass continuity. I take some inspration from the oringal G1 Shattered Glass comics but everything else is my own! While this blog is mostly Prime/Aligned, I may add/take some elements from a few other continuies such as G1, IDW and Animated.
Following
This is a side blog to @fatesyetunwritten, which plays as an OOC hub for the blogs connected to it. So obviously I cannot follow you with this blog but my main. Even though not necessary, I also recommend following my hub blog as well being that’s where most PSAs/OOC updates in regard to ALL my blogs will be posted. Personal blogs are free to follow, but I do ask you don’t comment/reblog/reply/etc to any IC threads or post. Same implies to post that say ”//DO NOT REBLOG” or -DO NOT REBLOG-” in the thread/tags. If any of these rules are broken I will block you! I won't even give you a second chance, you're out! If you are a personal and do have a sideblog, PLEASE contact me telling me so. I’m more than likely not going to know otherwise unless I followed you first and it’s noted. My IM/askbox is always open. If you need to contact me in anyway and (if we are mutuals) want to plot/scream about our muses/just talk/etc. Don’t feel shy to approach me. I love talking and meeting new friends.
Guidelines
I am selective and will only roleplay with mutuals. Just because you follow me doesn’t guarantee that I will back. I often look at the muse, content and mun beforehand before making up my decision in doing so. Do not force/guilt trip me into following you!! Putting aside it’s rude and selfish to do so, YOU WILL BE BLOCKED WITHOUT A SECOND THOUGHT!! Muse doesn't equal Mun and vice versa. This should be obvious but sometimes people do confuse fantasy and reality. Please don't confuse the two. No Godmodding! This is standard fare I don’t think I have to elaborate more on that. If possible Please trim your post. I won’t get up on anyone's case about it if you don’t, but it’s considerute to do so. Keeps the dash clean. Also transfer ask to a new thread if you wish to contiune it. Same reasons as above: Keeps things clean and orgainzed. Don’t worry about formatting/using icons in your post! Just because I like to time to time doesn’t mean you have to follow suit. Write in whatever style that works for you. All I ask is that you use proper grammar and spelling, or at least enough for me to read your writing. I’m not perfect neither so don’t sweat it if you make a typo there and there.
Shipping and Relationships
Let’s get this out of the way:I’m a shameless shipping whore! I love shipping and building relationships. But I won't just jump onboard to a ship however Like most relationships, there needs to be Chemistry. If the two clash off each other well, we can discuss things further. Each ship (unless said otherwise) has it's own verse and not overlap with other ships... This doesn't just imply to romanatic ships! Friendships, kinships, hateships, YA name it!. As I said, I'm a ship whore. I’m also a fan of AUs! Give me some of those AUs bro!
Mature Content
Both me and my Muse are of age and won’t shy away from mature themes. All NSFW threads/ask/etc will be tagged as such, along with any triggers that need tagging. In worst cases, like a hard R (which is rare), I will put everything under a read more flither. Themes include, but not limited to: Violence, blood or/and gore, alcohol and drug use, depression/PTSD, abuse and (maybe?) sexual themes. I will also likely The only things I will not roleplay are anything to do with rape, sexual assault, pedophila and/or incest. I'm open to roleplaying smut but I will be extreamly selective on who I write with. I have to feel comfortable with the mun plus likely already have to have an establish ship going. I will, by no circumstance, roleplay sumt with minors!! NO ITS, NO BUTS! If I learn you are lying about your age, consider yourselfPermanently blocked with all threads deleted.
Who I’ll Interact With
Well, obviously I will roleplay with other Transformers characters, (Not limited to just Prime). I’ll roleplay with just about almost all fandoms. I am a bit more selective over fandoms I'm not too familiar with but that doesn't always mean my doors aren't closed to them neither. To put it simple: If a muse interests me, I'm more than likely on board. What is always the case however is that I will not, and I do mean WILL NOT roleplay with muses base off Youtube Let’s Players or any real life people WHAT SO EVER!! Sorry, I’m sure a good share of you are fantastic people, but it’s something I am simply against mortality. I’m open to roleplaying with OCs both fandom base and/or fandomless, but again, I’m still selective. I always check out the mun’s page before following and if I don’t see a bio for your OC, I will simply not follow. I can't interact with a character I know nothing about. Really, a good indication that I want to interact with you is if I follow you, either before or after you do.
The Mun
Name: Jessie/Sweets Birthdate:August 2nd, 1989 Hello loves~ So...about myself: I love to write if it wasn’t obvious yet, but some of my other hobbies include but not limited to: Drawing, video games, comics, animation. The general geek crap. I like to believe I'm a down to earth and chill person to hang with so don’t feel shy to start a conversation with me outside of our general roleplay affair. For OOC post, Doctor Nefarious from Ratchet and Clank and/or Wander from Wander Over Yonder as faceclaims but more incline to use the former. Things to keep note of: I am diagnosed on the Autism Spectrum. This can at times affect my abilities to socialize and communicate normality and at times even makes it hard to pick up cues if not direct enough. Miscommunication could happen and if I misinterpreted/stepped over the line/did something uncalled for that I’m unaware of; You shouldn’t fear about addressing the issue to me privately. I don’t do things on purpose. Most people don’t. And more than half the time, these problems can be addressed by talking it out. Communication and understanding is key to be a successful roleplay partner. The last thing I want is to make my friends unconformably and treat them with respect and I expect the same! I also suffer from depression and anxiety and can affect my mood, as well as my will to interact/socialize that day and may even not want to be bothered. This never has anything to do with the other Mun, this is me and Me alone! My mental health comes first after all and I’m sure you all can respect that and vice versa. Roleplaying is a hobby for me, not a job. I go at my own pace. With my mental health addressed; it can play into how active I am. Some days I can write replies/threads like no ones business, others I can be sluggish and not want to do anything. Do not pester me for replies! They’ll come when they come. Thankfully, I don’t have many triggers. Nothing that I can’t blacklist anyways. I always make sure to read the Mun’s rules but if there's anything you need me to tag that I may have glace over, don’t feel shy to speak up about it.

Last 20
Credit to @writingwife-83
Thanks for tagging me, @hanuko
Guidelines: List the first lines of your last 20 stories (if you have less than 20,  just list them all.) Choose your favourite opening line, tag some friends!
I may have skipped a few of the more … content warn-y ones.
1. Living in a Lightless World (TFP) -  The scenario was a familiar one.  A hard, unyielding table beneath him, the sickening sound of Autobot voices drifting in the surrounding space, powerful restraints around his wrists, his chest – cables deactivated, as well as his audio transmitters.  Soundwave was helpless, again at the Autobots’ mercy.  But this time, he didn’t care.
2. I Know What You Did (G1) -  Praxus was a surprisingly good city for business.  Sure, it had always carried the image of pristine totalitarianism – the home of the Enforcers, of the most uptight mechs on the face of Cybertron.  And yes, everyone had laughed when Swindle had voiced his intentions to open shop there.  'No one will buy from you.’  'You’ll be arrested in a week.’  Well, the laugh was on them!
3. All My Decepticons (Transformers) -  Our show begins in a lovely little suburban neighborhood.  The sky is clear, and a slight breeze rustles the leaves in the trees.  We zoom in on a house, picturesque and welcoming, like something out of The Brady Bunch, only, instead of being scaled to humans, it is scaled to giant robots.  Why?  Because how else are the giant robot inhabitants going to fit inside?
4. Call Me Master (TFP) - It hurt to see him like this.  Soundwave had always come across as untouchable - like a benevolent deity who had, through some miracle of fate, chosen to grace Megatron with his undying loyalty and devotion.
5. Hope for the Hopeless (TFA) -  A flash of metal, a distorted scream, the biting sting of claws in his plating.  Deadlock was fighting for his life, and nothing else mattered.
6. Fear Itself (Red vs Blue) -  Felix had been expecting a little more fanfare when he’d stepped through the gate - a small army of people he’d wronged in his life, for starters.  That useless pirate had claimed to have been confronted by his own victims when he’d been shoved through earlier. Judging by the whistling abyss that greeted him, however, the gate had something different in store this time.
7. A Single Thread (G1) -  It had been a long and arduous road, but finally, Swindle’s work was starting to pay off.  He smiled at the message he held in his hands:
8. Sentinel Prime and the Quest for Booty (TFA) -  Sentinel Prime was kind of a big deal.  He led the Elite Guard, second in power only to the Magnus himself.  His presence inspired awe amongst the peons beneath him.  He was handsome, powerful, a master of strategy, and a beacon of charisma.  There was not a bot alive that came close to rivaling his glory.  And yet, he had one small problem.
9. Mercy for the Damned (MTMTE) - Primus, spare my spark.
Pain came first – the pain of his body being systematically torn to shreds from the inside out, through a means and manner that defied the laws of nature.
10. Dodgeball (Beast Wars) -  Megatron loved being the center of attention.  He loved watching the time tick down on the big clock 9, 8, 7, counting the seconds to their victory.  It was close enough to taste, intoxicating.  He could see Optimus, several yards ahead of him, wide open.  This was his time to shine, the moment that would go down in history.  There was no time to savor it.  It was do or die.
Megatron threw the ball.
11. Shall We Dance? (G1) -  It had been a year, now, since Cybertron last witnessed bloodshed.  After eons of fighting, anyone would be ready to call it quits, even Galvatron, it seemed.  In the aftermath of the hate plague, and the subsequent return of Optimus Prime, a peace treaty had been hastily drafted, and much to the surprise of everyone involved, it had been obeyed.
12. Remembering Altihex (G1) -  There had been no battle for Altihex - no blaze of glory, no honorable sacrifices, no heroic speeches to go down in the history books - it was just gone, taken in the night as its citizens slept in their beds, blissfully unaware of their own impending demise.
13. Reaching for the Sun (G1) - “It’s not enough.”
With tense shoulders and narrowed optics, Onslaught sifted through the mass of information that Blast Off had handed him, divided between five different data pads, all confirming his every fear.
14. Exceeds Expectations (IDW 1) - “Were you able to find it?” Perceptor glanced up from his data pad, cold blue eyes scrutinizing Prowl, trying to uncover his every uncouth motivation and secret.  As smart as Perceptor was, he was hopelessly outmatched in this respect.
15. Irresponsible Infatuation (IDW 1) -  Prowl was a sensible mech, sometimes the only sensible mech, a fact which he was all too aware of.  He could scheme with the best of them, plan for every contingency, and he wasn’t afraid to let his spark interfere with what needed to be done for victory.
16. Living in a Box (G1) -  Okay.  This ain’t so bad.  I mean, I’m absent one body – I can’t see or hear, feel or taste or touch or smell.  It’s like my worst nightmare come to life, and y’know?  Can’t say what I was ever scared for.
17. I’ll Follow You Forever (TFP) -  Step left, stoop low, lean away, cross-counter, go for the throat.  Soundwave’s opponent wasn’t a big mech, but he was broad, heavy, and well-armored – though the last wasn’t uncommon for a gladiator.  The ring wasn’t kind to fragile mechs – even Soundwave had piled on the armor as soon as he could afford it.  But even so, the extra protection didn’t change the fact that his light build was ill-suited for his chosen profession.
18. Sacrifice (Armada) - The job was a means to an end. That was what Sideways told himself day after day.  When he woke up in the morning, dreading the upcoming drudgery, working his poor frame to the core, ungrateful customers – the creepers, the swindlers, the complainers.  And likewise, before the fell into a deep recharge at night, broken both body and soul.
19. Maybe Tomorrow Will Be Better (MTMTE) - Some days were worse than others.
Drift wasn’t a happy mech; he wasn’t exactly unique in that regard.  Most mechs had baggage – four million years of war would do that.  Drift knew this.  But that did exactly nothing to make him feel better.
20. Guilty Conscience (IDW 1)-  Wing had always had a little rebellious streak.  It had gotten him into trouble more times than he could count.  And yet, though it condemned him on a weekly basis, it was also his second most valuable trait, after his compassion.
I sure did forget I’d written some of these. Bummed I didn’t make it far enough back to get any of my big Shockblurr stuff up here, ‘cuz I still really like those ones. Also, I like the lone non-TF fic sitting in there (we ignore the OW one).
Feel free to do this if you want. I am too anxious a bean to tag.

WFC: Siege watch!
Part 1: Episodes 1, 2, and 3
[Part 2] (Linking because Tumblr isn’t even showing the post on my blog or on my dash 🙄)
As a side note: every single person in this fandom is horrible at tagging their spoilers, you guys really need to do a better job at that because I’ve got a bunch of blockers on and I was STILL almost spoiled multiple times. Come on you guys...it literally came out today, be better about this.
Alright going to try and keep expectations low because I feel like the target audience for this is G1 dudebros who take a series about transforming cars way too seriously, but I’m still cautiously optimistic because a friend vetted for the dudes working on this show so WE”LL SEE
Episode 1
Aw man there’s only 6 episodes??? Bummer, I wonder if they’re already working on Season 2 or if they’re going to see how this does and let it die in the water if it’s not popular enough.
Things I know going in: Skyfire / Jetfire is in this, Megatron has big lips, and Elita is in it. That’s literally it, I’ve managed to avoid spoilers thusfar (though a few of the promo images implied Skyfire’s a Decepticon, so you KNOW that’s gonna break bad eventually)
WHEELJACK Wednesday THURSDAY
OH MYG OSH IS THAT SKYWARP??? EXPECTATIONS ARE NOW SKY-HIGH
The transformation sequences look so reminiscent of those stop-motion videos people do of their Transformer toys transforming. This isn’t a dig at the animation style, I think that’s rather charming and I wonder if it’s intentional.
Wow Bumblebee sounds like a jerk. I’m instantly on-edge, please don’t make all the characters ~hyper-masculine mean guys who don’t know how to have fun or talk about their emotions~
“The Autobots aint paying you for attitude” YOU TELL HIM WHEELJACK
Yooo Velocitron exists!
Ahh so Bumblebee IS just a mercenary, not an Autobot
OHOHO HERE”S JETFIRE
Wow Jetfire you’re really going the bad dude route huh
Ayyyyyy there’s Starscream
YOOO THERE”S THUNDERCRACKER
Thundercracker I appreciate that you’re using fancy tech to identify wheeljack but his Autobot badge is literally Right There
WTF
WELL THAT DIDN”T LAST LONG HUH...that’s a bit disappointing
OH NVM THAT WASN”T A HEEL-TURN THAT WAS JUST A STRAIGHT UP “I”M THE BOSS” MOVE
huh so they’re making Skyfire the target of Starscream’s desire for power. hmm
WHY ARE YOU GUYS RUNNING JUST TRANSFORM INTO CARS unless they’re too low on energon to do it??
There he is...Mr. Big Lips
Well that’s a surprising take Megatron
Isn’t that Cybertron and Luna 1 in the sky though?? Are they on Cybertron rn or not??
Megatron’s voice is really throwing me off, if it weren’t for his helmet and color I’d really think that was Overlord
ITS TRUCK DAD
OHOHO HE SAID THE THING!!!!
Why does bumblebee have lips too
“What do you know of slavery?” Alright that line did make me go “OHHHH”
“Alpha Trion would be ashamed!” “Of us both, I think” ouch, but nice to see Alpha “Grandpa” Trion back in a series
Megatron PLEASE don’t say “I’m enjoying this, Prime” in that voice while I can hear Optimus groaning in the background
AYYY ELITAAAAAA
Why are the Seekers chasing these guys, who are running on foot, ON FOOT??? CHANGE INTO YOUR DANG ALT MODE
WHEELJACK SWORE
man I’m only like a few minutes in and I’m already bored. I’m going to watch the whole thing, but I feel like this is really lacking soul or personality so far. It very much feels like the script was written by people who aren’t familiar with these characters, so they’re writing them how they EXPECT them to sound, not writing them as they actually are. It’s more than a little disappointing, but this is only the first episode, so I’ll keep going and see if this is consistent throughout the series.
Oh man, just listening to Elita you can tell she was written by a dude. Oof.
There’s the Ark!
Dang everyone’s running low
Jeez Optimus and Elita wouldn’t just walk by all these injured Autobots!
And Optimus wouldn’t brush off his officers!! Agh!!!
YO Ultra Magnus!
Chromia!!!!!
oh my gosh is THAT Red Alert??
Hey where’s Ratchet though
Gosh the writing is so STIFF!!!! I can’t stand this, if I wasn’t a die-hard Transformers fan I would’ve bounced a few minutes ago
It might also be the way the VAs pause between words, please speak normally, these constant pauses between words are frustrating
Ok but where the frick is Soundwave
“His arrogance I actually like” pfft
Annnnd here comes Ultra Magnus to accept the treaty on Prime’s behalf, where he’ll get held hostage and probably wind up beefing it.
Episode 2
SOUNDWAVE!!!! BABY
And Shockwave!!!
YO SKYWARP ACTUALLY GOT A SPEAKING LINE
I want to know where Megatron got all this fabric for those stupid flags and where Ultra magnus got that cloak
Is. Is that Prowl with a weird paint job
Wow bad aim dude
Ultra Magnus you dummy....
Ok but if it was a battle then who were they fighting against???
Wow you’re really just gonna stand there and take that Magnus?
I know they’re on a time-crunch because they only have 6 episodes, but they have to do more to make me care about the characters. I’m inclined to care about them already because I’m familiar with the series and because as a stand-alone, even I’m like “Ok. So?” whenever new problems come up for them. I’m not invested!
Not to compare the two, because I feel like this entire liveblog will turn into a comparative essay, but Cyberverse got me invested in characters within the first episode! They were on an even TIGHTER time-crunch because their episodes were only 10 minutes, and yet they did a great job weaving a tight narrative and making good use of their time to tell a story and have characters charm the audience.
Optimus: Til All Are One Rodimus, coming out of nowhere: TIL ALL ARE ONE
WELL THAT”S NOT THE VOICE I WAS EXPECTING FOR SHOCKWAVE he sounds a bit reminiscent of his TFA version
What does de-rez mean
Ok but that’s assuming that this thing will automatically reprogram them?? Reformatting doesn’t automatically mean someone will turn into a Decepticon!
You know, there’s a lot of talking in the show but the dialogue doesn’t actually say a lot. It doesn’t reveal much about the characters or tell me who they are.
YOOO THERE”S SOUNDWAVE
AUDIO BOOB
It really annoys me that characters always pause after saying “I”. It’s always “I.........[long pause] rest of their sentence.”
what do you mean “Teams” Optimus there’s like 5 of you guys
I love you Soundwave!!!
Whoa wait was that Impactor in the background?
ughHHHHHH I HATE THAT MY BIGGEST PET PEEVE IS “what have you done?” SAID UTTERLY MONOTONE WHEN IT’S NOT EVEN A BIG DEAL!!! YOU CAN”T FLIP THAT LINE OUT WITHOUT ACTUALLY PUTTING IN THE FOOTWORK TO EARN IT!!! AGH!!!
Again, it feels very much like the writers read the wikipedia page for Transformers and maybe the first sentence of each character’s bio page and then wrote the entire script from there. It’s frustrating. I hate being so severe in my reviews because I hate dunking on my fellow writers because they don’t always have final say in what happens, but this is astonishingly poor writing.
Like, I can see what they’re TRYING to accomplish, but it feels like they whiff so badly.
YO IT IS IMPACTOR
oh thats Barricade that’s why I thought that was Prowl
Chromia!!!! My darling!!!! I can’t believe there’s only two girls in this show so far
Oh that’s Cog, I wasn’t sure if that was Beachcomber or what
Nice one Chromia
Oh is that Mirage?
Ugh ANOTHER WRITING PET PEEVE: Constantly having characters start to say something but then then their dialogue gets cut off. It’s fine if it’s once in a while but over and over it’s annoying
I also feel like a lot of the VAs lack...emotion. They don’t emphasize the lines. Like, “Get him into the repair bay” is one example. Depending on how you emphasize certain words in that sentence, you can infer a lot! Emotion, the state of mind of the character, etc. But when it’s delivered in such a bland way, it’s a bit like “ok whatever”, which is how I’m starting to feel about this whole show. This doesn’t go for all the VAs or all lines, but it’s consistent enough that my mind’s wandering.
RAVAGE??? RAVAGE???? RAVAGE?!?!?!??!?!
It was probably Bumblebee.
Not to be nitpicky but it should be “Neither we nor the Autobots”
The idea of reformatting is so stupid!!! It implies that Autobots and Decepticons are inherently different, which is stupid!! It’s so dumb WHY DO YOU GOTTA GO THAT ROUTE IT”S SO STUPID (ESPECIALLY SINCE THEY”RE TACKLING THE TOPIC OF OPPRESSION??? THEY”RE SAYING THEY”RE LITERALLY DIFFERENT SPECIES AND USING IT AS A PLATFORM TO SAY ONE GROUP IS INHERENTLY BETTER THAN THE OTHER. THAT SUCKS)
Episode 3
RATCHET!!!!!!!!!!!!
Lmao love your lipgloss Megatron
Ohh is Ratchet going to fix Impactor??
PROWL??? HE”S SO SHORT
Gosh please, please don’t have humans in this show
lmao Skyfire called Starscream a tool
RATCHET!!! :D
I’d like to see who was on the writing team of this show
Isn’t that Mirage?
YEAH THAT IS MIRAGE
Again with the sentences consistently being cut off....
Is that Sunstorm?
Points to Chromia and Mirage for showing the first bitof personality in this show.
Yooo Ratchet! Oof he’s not chummy with Prime huh
YOO CAMINUS EXISTS TOO
LMAO FEISTY GRANDPA
Oh Mirage come on
Actually no, don’t shut Impactor up he’s right
“I didn’t patch you up just so you could blow a valve here” *snorts*
Tumblr media
Wouldn’t it be frickin hilarious if Magnus just popped open a panel and Minimus came out and just dipped outta there
lmao nice lightsaber Jetfire
LMAO “PULL THE TRIGGER MAGNUS”
JEEZ JUST PUNCH HIM RIGHT IN THE FACE WHY DON”T YOU
Ratchet is the ONLY character they’ve given personality in this show so far.
Jeez Mirage cool your jets
Oh for frick’s sake Optimus be cool
Megatron please stop torturing your ex boyfriend
Ok but who did they rise against??? Were there Quintessons in this universe too?
oh come on you guys
Oh boy something tells me Skywarp isn’t going to survive the rest of this episode
Oh jk, Skyfire just let him go. Well alrighty then
I’m not sure how they found the Autobot base, they implied that it was because of Impactor but that doesn’t make sense
This post is getting long so I’m going to spit it between two posts

Photos.
This was a show that got off to a bit of a slow start, but ended incredibly well. It opened with Manabu Nakanishi’s final ever match in Osaka, as his team was victorious when Kojima Lariated his way to victory over Honma at 7:09. The match was nothing really, but ended in Nakanishi bowing to the fans as he exited, getting a good ovation in a nice moment. The Jr. Tag straps were on the line next as Roppongi 3K defended against Desperado and Kanemaru. This was very good, but was missing something I felt. The Suzuki-gunners worked over SHO’s knee they injured at the Korakuen shows mid-week all match, but the champions overcame the odds. After SHO countered a Kanemaru whiskey mist attempt with a big German Suplex, he hit a cross-armed piledriver for a near fall, then the champions hit Strong X for the win at the 16:22 mark. Taguchi came out in the post match and asked Rocky Romero to join him in a challenge for the belts next. So it looks like 3K are getting the Coaches. Tanahashi, sporting one of his more preposterous “do’s” in quite some time, pinned one half of the IWGP Tag Champions when he locked Tanga Loa in a small package to end an average 8-man outing at 10:50, which was more about setting up future programmes. Tana and Ibushi challenged G.O.D. for the next title shot, but former champions Fin-Juice, who only lost the titles last week, appeared upset by this. It looks like it may be a 3-way.
New Japan announced a return to Madison Square Garden in August, as well as the firs two nights of G1 being held in Osaka in September, and a return to prime time Japanese TV in the mini interval. Well thats all newsworthy. Okada, teaming with Ospreay, once again pinned Taichi, teaming with ZSJ, with a Rainmaker to end a good 12 minute tag match. This was a brief sprint, though entertaining as it was, it was pretty forgettable stuff and really just a reason to get all four on the card I reckon. Next up, Jay White took on SANADA. I’m not going to lie, watching live, I fell asleep during this match, and had to go back and rewatch it before reviewing, and I can say that, whilst good, no doubt, it wasn’t anything too interesting. It went on an incredibly long time (22 minutes) and just didn’t feel like they got out of first gear. After Cold Skull kicked the ropes into an interfering Gedo’s crotch, he locked on Skull End, but made the age old mistake of letting go to try the Moonsault. Jay obviously avoided it, but gets caught in another Skull End. This time Jay makes the ropes, but SANADA gets a near fall with the Japanese Leg Clutch. White hits the Sleeper Suplex, a version of the Regal Plex, and finally the Blade Runner to take the win. As I say, this was really good by the end, but has to rank as something of a disappointment.
It was time to watch through fingers next as Hiromu defended the Jr. Title against arch nemesis Ryu Lee. Look, there’s no denying the spectacular nature of this match-up, but it was fucking terrifying to watch. Baring in mind, the last time these two fought resulted in one of them breaking their necks, this was never going to be an easy watch. Perhaps they’d have slowed down, or worked a less crazy style? Nope, it was business as usual, and it was frightening. They started with an epic overhand chop battle, until Lee hit a Frankesteiner out of the ring, sending the champion to the floor, then hitting a frankly insane tope suicida as Hiromu was sat on the barricade, wiping out all and sundry. Takahash followed that up with a Sunset Bomb out of the ring, and hits a nasty Death Valley Bomb into the corner, which Lee landed right on his head for. Hiromu locks in the triangle choke he calls “D”, but the Dragon hoists him up and teases the Dragon Driver, the same move which broke Hiromu’s neck, in a terrifying moment. Ryu Lee hits a double stomp off the top to the floor, then they end up on the apron, where Lee charges Hiromu, but ends up getting overhead suplexed off the apron to the floor. Hiromu goes up and hits his batchit crazy Senton off the top to the outside. Back inside, they trade Germans, and Lee attempts Desnucadora, but Takahashi catches him in D. Lee escapes with a buckle bomb, but runs straight into an overhead suplex into the corner pad. A devastating knee strike from Ryu gets a near fall, then he tries the Dragon Driver again (please stop!), but Hiromu escapes, then counters a Last Ride attempt into a Canadian Destroyer. Another huge knee strike by Lee gets a tremendous near fall, but Hiromu hits another Destroyer, followed by Time Bomb for another super close near fall. Takahashi pulls Lee up and hits a huge elbow strike, following it up with a second Time Bomb, this time getting the win and retaining the title at 23:54. As mind-blowing as this match was, I don’t need to see another between them for some time.
Moxley and Suzuki had a tough act to follow, but ended up being more than up for the task by having a very different, but no less crazy outng for the United States Championship. This was a wild brawl. They started the match by brawling through the crowd, and exchanged hard strikes. Suzuki worked over Moxley’s arm, wrapping it in a chair and bashing the chair clad arm with another chair. Suzuki locks on an arm bar, but Mox powers him up and powerbombs Suzuki through a table at ringside. They go to a close up of Suzuki who has a smile on his face as he lays in the wreckage, which was tremendous. They trade more forearms back in the ring, which Suzuki obviously wins, then locks on a tight rear naked choke, releasing it and getting a two count. A stiff sliding kick from Minoru follows, and Moxley returns the favour by hitting the Regal Knee. The Ill-Natured Man puts Moxley down with a big dropkick, then goes for the Gotch, but Moxley counters into Death Rider. Suzuki actually kicks out of Death Rider, then they had a chair duel, resulting in Mox hitting a DDT onto one of the chairs. They trade again with forearms and punches, before Moxley hits another Death Rider, this time finishing the match at 17:16. This was excellent. Zack Sabre Jr. came out in the post match, nailing Mox with the title belt, then chokes him out, signifying that he’s Moxley’s next challenger. That’s an interesting match-up indeed.
And in the main event, Tetsuya Naito defended both the IWGP Heavyweight and Intercontinental Titles against KENTA. OK, so this ended up being really great, but there’s no denying that both have seen better days, physically speaking, and expecting them to go 36 minutes seemed like a stretch. Whilst neither are as good as they were in 2014 say, both have tons of charisma, and that’s what got them by here. Also, some very fortuitous hard-way juice helped make it really dramatic down the stretch. The early going was a hard slog in all honesty, but this really picked up when Naito outlasted a Game Over, and hit Gloria for a near fall. After a ref bump, Jay White ran out and nailed a Sleeper Suplex on the champion, which brought out BUSHI, but he’s inturn taken out with Blade Runner. Hiromu comes running down, and takes care of Jay, dragging him to the back, whilst Naito hits his signature flying forearm on KENTA. From here, KENTA blocks a Destino attempt with a Lariat, then tries Go 2 Sleep, by Naito turns it into Destino. Naito charges KENTA, but the dastardly heel sends him into the exposed turnbuckles, which split Naito’s forehead open, and he juices really heavily. A KENTA Busaiku Knee gets a near fall, but another Go 2 Sleep is turned into a reverse rana, then Naito nails another Destino to end this at the 35:50 mark. In the post match, a bloody Naito calls out Hiromu, and challenges him to their long-talked-about match. Hiromu accepts his mentors challenge, so that shuld be pretty damn great.

TFILF Day 7 - Worldbuilding
Whoop! It's Day 7 so it's dealer's choice, and I'm choosing stories with Worldbuilding with a capital W. Cultural Exchange by Therrae G1, mostly Rated G This fic is the first in the Xenoethnography series and I cannot even express how much I love each one of the stories just, wow. Stunning. The main character is a human anthropologist (an OC I have come to love) and just, unf. Worldbuilding! There's a huge focus on language that is fascinating and detailed and nuanced and just, wow. Wow! here have the summary of the fic, it gives a good idea.
"It also didn’t help that the average glyph message was only three characters long, used no articles or prepositions, and usually had no verbs. What was the proper response to:: Curiosity; Sensation of great speed? Was it a question? A comparison?  Why, after a brief visit by National Security Director Mearing, did four different ‘Bots send:: Emphasis; overlapping? Why was a particularly bad joke by Bulkhead derided as ::Undercharged when there were actual glyphs for Not funny and Humor fail? How did any of that work?"
the ways of the stars undone by oriflamme @sunderedstar IDW, Starscream/Wheeljack, Starscream/Windblade Rated T The intricate, emotionally satisfying plot we all wish IDW had given us! It's an AU continuation of TAAO and it's focused on Starscream and Windblade, primarily, though there are a few other POV characters. This is a plot featuring Unicron that canon should have had. The ending is so unspeakably satisfying, the way its plotted just really gives you a kick at the end, but it also makes sense, like the conclusion ought to have been obvious all along. Also featuring the tag "Give Starscream Emotional Support Round 3: This Time It's Personal" which, yes. Just yes. The sequels are gorgeously plotted works in their own right, and similarly offer intense, if only this were canon satisfaction. This fic and the later ones also play a lot with the Titans and the Primes in delightful ways.
Prima's Blessing by white_aster G1, MegOP, Everyone/Everyone Rating: Explicit I was almost going to rec this tomorrow (unofficial NSFW day) but it's really stuck in my mind for the worldbuilding aspects so it's going up here. The premise is basically, the Prime and his Lord High Protector used to have the duty of holding certain orgies sacred festivals during the Cybertronian calendar. The Matrix tells Optimus that he needs to do this again. And he has to invite the Decepticons. The smut is really, really something, and I absolutely recommend that, but I really like how this leans in on the concept of 'the Transformers have a canonical deity' because that has a ton of unexplored potential. How Primus interacts with OP through the Matrix, how Primus interacts with Megatron and his role and motivations, the way that coding plays into both things, all the sub-pairings that get explored as the fic goes on... It's wonderful.

This may sound stupid for Transformers
I just want Transformers in the title. Also despite what Raginnation thinks. It's weird I want to see a 50 year old Charlie Watson helping the Autobots. Or even I kept thinking instead of Cade (edit had to fix yager to yeager)Yeager trying to talk to Optimus while he's Nemesis Prime fighting Bumblebee. I honestly want Charlie to be that human instead in the modern day.
Especially today and I had a little idea of this but I realized it more in my head. Whether it be in the 80's or 90's or modern day. I keep thinking of a similar situation where Charlie is trying to talk to a Grimlock who has sideded with the Decepticons trying to kill Optimus Prime, trying to tell Grimlock to stop. The idea right now is basically a movie adaptation in a way of, (2nd edit fixed on to of)"War Of The Dinobots" from season 1 of G1. But the ending is basically the same with Optimus saving Grimlock from an explosion that would of killed him, but the added bonus of Optimus telling him why he saved him and Charlie kept trying to save Optimus and telling Grimlock to stop. Showcasing even more humans aren't heartless. Just some ideas.
Just wanna say I don't mind Cade as a character. Especially I don't hate Sam Witwicky ether.
But seeing Charlie as a character in Bumblebee and people have talked about this. I know she's a human character but I thought she was written so well I would love to see more of her character. Whether in a Bumblebee sequel or even a big main Transformers film.
Because I do have ideas of how they can plan this right and it may seem like fan fiction. Especially I guess it can be like the MCU even though I don't like the MCU much but also the DCEU which I like that Charlie is our main human protagonist who I wanna say grows up meeting these Autobots and even Decepticons and other stuff.
I understand this movie being a stand alone and her story is finished. But God damn I just loved her character I'm sorry. Especially remember from one of Delzinki's videos that it's possible some of the success was from Hailee Steinfeld's fan base which is sweet.
Basically I have my ideas if we are gonna do this cinematic universe more. This is fan fiction just saying.
1: Cybertron prequel inspired by War For Cybertron and Fall Of Cybertron.
2: A Optimus Prime film okay I guess it's not hard he was Orion Pax. Especially the talks of a Megatron movie what about combine that with a Optimus Prime movie so they both get their chance to shrine or whatever. Just like what X Men First Class with Charles and Erik.
3: Bumblebee sequel. Was thinking maybe this before the Optimus Prime movie I don't know.
4: That big Transformers film that's not gonna be directed by Michael Bay. Whether it's back in the past or modern day.
5: They are talking about a Beast Wars film but I think they should hold off on that because the show is loved by many and you need to have a plan. Especially it's something you need to be careful with because the show is a sequel to the original G1 show and it takes place in the past.
6: Personal opinion I weirdly want a Dinobots film I remember reading a article suggesting that I want that. Maybe introduce Grimlock and Dinobots in one of these earlier films.
But yeah I really like or love Charlie as a character and would love to see her again. Especially Hailee Steinfeld if she's up for it please if that's okay tags dealt with just wanna share this with everybody.
Edit also I wanna mention this morning I was thinking of ideas of how you can finish the Bayformers saga with what they were doing and it's will be a weird post.

Note
Transformers cartoon only fics would be hard to count unless you know what all the canons are, because there are multiple English-language and Japanese-language cartoons, including things like Combiner Wars, Power of the Primes and Titans Return, which were never broadcast by a network, cable network or big streaming service and first appeared online.
Transformers - All Media Types is a thing, but that includes both sets of IDW comics, Dreamwave comics, Marvel comics, the Bumblebee movie, Bayverse, Legends, Unite Warriors, Shattered Glass, that German comic series I always forget the name of despite having stolen at least one character from it, and Kiss Players...none of which have ever been animated.   Excluding them would be hard, you’d have to search on many of them as they’re not big enough to have a listing on the Fandoms page (Kiss Players doesn’t, and I know there is fic of Kiss Players because I love Glit and Rosanna).
If you want to take the correct tack that none of these fandoms would exist without the original cartoon though and elect not to bother, that would leave us with over 48000 fics in Transformers-All Media Types.
The Sunbow G1 cartoon, I believe, predates everything, and a lot of Bayverse fics are very G1 or IDW feeling because Bayverse concentrated mostly on human interaction with Transformers, whereas most TF fans on AO3 want to make the robots kiss each other.  I’ve read many fics and not noticed they were specifically Bayverse until I looked at the tags, because they either had a pairing I like or were femme Ravage fics.
It is also very typical of TF fic to steal from multiple continuities because of awesome characters like Clobber or Esmeral who only appear in one specific continuity.
So there’s that.
So there's something I've noticed: Western Cartoons don't seem to have as large of a presence as far as fanfics go as I'd think they'd have. I wanted to ask about the top cartoons on AO3? From what I saw giving a casual look-through, it doesn't look like any of them have even cracked 100k fics, and aren't likely to do so for years, if ever.
Hey! Thanks for the question. I did some stats a few years ago addressing large cartoon fandoms and anime fandoms that may be of interest to you. But also, you're setting the bar very high -- there are only about a dozen fandoms on AO3 with over 100K works! :)

None.
WANT TO PLAY
There are a few,  I am occasionally thinking about Hojo or Cloud. I do have them in almost all of my rps and fics though, I probably wouldn’t like them as isolated characters with their own blogs. Who I really fucking want to rp though are Six-Winged Jenovian God Vincent Valentine from my rp with @rp-sephiroth and human-looking, amnesiac Chaos who doesn’t know he’s a WEAPON and escaped from Hojo’s lab to become a suave, terrifying dude in a suit who has horns on his head and shares all of Vincent’s Turk memories. He’s also in a lasting relationship with the latter @crimsonredemption-x . Both characters have so much backstory they could be regarded OCs. I love them, my sons. I wonder though who’d ever rp with them which is the reason they don’t have blogs.

Close Your Eyes to This Disaster Chapter 6: And You Say…
Rating: Explicit Warnings: Chose Not to Use, Rape/Non-Con Category: Other Fandom: Transformers G1 Relationships: Megatron/Sunstreaker, Megatron/Sideswipe, Sideswipe & Sunstreaker Characters: Sunstreaker, Sideswipe, Megatron Additional Tags: Dubcon, Sticky, Abusive Relationships, Mind Games, Manipulation, Gaslighting, Canon-Typical Violence Words: 3163
( Previous )
The Prime—or Prowl, rather, he was the one to set up the schedules—kept his word: they were never put to any patrol longer than frustratingly short. On top of that, they no longer had patrols together, always paired with someone else rather than each other. That one had given them a fit that slagging Ironhide had needed to talk them out of. Since when was Ironhide the voice of reason?
That was discrediting the weapons specialist a little, admittedly. Age had granted him at least some sense, to the effect that he was perfectly reasonable with his arguments. Unfortunately he was also fairly hot-headed, as were the twins. There had been quite a bit of yelling from everyone involved. They had even gained an audience before the time that the twins accepted the fact that in this instance they were safer apart than together.
It still didn’t sit well with them, but they put up with it, in large part because the patrols were short enough that they were never away from each other’s vicinity for long. Despite the other mitigating factors on top of that, such as never being paired with anyone they didn’t get along with—mostly applying to Sunstreaker, that one—it was still enough to have the both of them turn irritable. Even Sideswipe, so known for his high spirits, was just as highly affected by what became the state of their spark. Was he not supposed to be, somehow? No, that was an impossibility.
And of course, there was the fact it wasn’t wise for them to leave the proximity of the Autobot base. It ceased to be an actual order, likely because Prowl realized they would’ve been that much more eager to go against it if it was one, but it was a piece of healthy advice that they actually did follow, for once. They weren’t free of their own concerns in regards to the situation, after all. With all of the memories… They knew more about Megatron now than they had ever thought possible, and a very large part of what they knew wasn’t flattering.
The physical disparity between them was bad enough, but pile on top of that Megatron’s personality and his pattern of always getting what he wanted… Could anyone blame them for harboring some worry, no matter how rare that was for them? They didn’t want to give in to Megatron, but slag, in practice that might be hellishly difficult.
Avoidance wasn’t going to work forever, they knew that much, but it was all they had for now.
End result was that they were a stressed mess on the inside, and it bled to the outside more than just a little. Everyone got in the habit of keeping as much distance from Sunstreaker as possible after the fourth time he got his aft locked in the brig for attacking someone without any real provocation—first Cliffjumper, then Tracks, the usual suspects they were, but after that it was Ironhide, then Hound of all mecha.
He didn’t get off any lighter than usual despite the command making it clear they understood why he was acting out so badly. They were assigned more combat practice as a response, though, just to give them more chances to burn off some of their unnerved energy. Ironhide took to being the one to mostly spar with Sunstreaker, after he, again, failed to go easy enough for it to really count as sparring anymore. The old mech could handle it even when Sunstreaker lost his cool and hit too hard—and Sideswipe wasn’t that much more careful.
Eventually it was the repeated rants they got from Ratchet when he was performing post-“spar” repairs that convinced them to hold back just a bit more.
And then there were the battles. First one, then two, and those were further help when they could just fragging let loose and beat someone to scrap. Prowl had to tell them to tone it down several times, and even so they got looks from their comrades after the Decepticons retreated. Look at the twins, turning even more unhinged than what they usually were! But at least the real fighting calmed them down for a week or two afterwards.
Neither time did it last, though, and then they were back to being holy terrors. Sideswipe held back on the violence, but his temper ran short and his words harsh. He still only managed to make Bluestreak cry one time. Of course he apologized after, was forgiven, and in further practice watched his vocalizer more at least around the gunner.
Sideswipe still became considerably less pleasant company than what he usually was, and aside of the command, no one knew for certain what was causing the change. There was confusion, theories, guesses, and most of them did revolve around Megatron after his more public interest in the beginning.
But they didn’t have the answers for the twins’ changed duties or their worsened behavior when the command respected their privacy and didn’t go tattling—and the twins themselves certainly weren’t about to share that much of their past life.
It was still annoying as all pit to be so affected by the warlord. They didn’t know if he was still trying to reach them. Did they imagine the lingering looks during the battles? Could be, after how hyperaware they became of him. Maybe it was nothing. And when they were away from the Ark… Was Megatron looking for opportunities to approach them, but simply didn’t get them, hence his absence?
Or had he stopped?
They couldn’t believe that. Megatron had made his desire clear, and he wasn’t the type to just stop when facing some resistance on the way to his goal.
And they were right in not believing.
It was a joyride. They were sticking relatively close to the Ark, and definitely close to a city, while still searching for some privacy to drive as fast as their spark was calling for. Just… Take what they could in their severely altered and limited life. Enjoy as much as they were able to and maybe have even a few moments of internal peace afterwards before all the tension came back and set them on edge.
Yet, it was clearly too far from other living beings, because after two curves they took–
He was standing in the shadow cast by the rise of rock on the side of the road—no signature this time either, or they would have noticed him before it was too late.
By the time Megatron stepped onto the road to block their way… It was already far too late. Too late to even slow the fuck down, in fact. They had just the time to curse, then initiate their transformations–
Only to barrel right into Megatron, the both of them. In a show of his size and strength, though, the tyrant had merely taken a steady stance and took the weight, velocity, and impact of both of them with no notable effort.
Sunstreaker stayed upright, staggering away as soon as he had enough wits about him to do so, but Sideswipe wound up sprawled on his back on the ground, groaning weakly from the ache of suddenly decelerated parts. Something had hit this, another had hit that… It was a good thing they were built sturdy; Megatron wasn’t much better than a solid steel wall. Even without any severe damage it still ended with some dented plating.
Their steel wall crouched in front of his scuffed brother—who quickly propped himself up on his arms—and Sunstreaker immediately checked his comms. They were–
…They weren’t blocked.
There was also no sight of Soundwave or anyone else.
Was it just Megatron? Alone? Could they have called the Ark right now and let them know they’d run into the unmaker again?
Instead of doing anything useful, though… Sunstreaker stood out of the way, dumbfounded as he watched Megatron reach for Sideswipe—Sideswipe was staring at the warlord with wide, wide optics, frozen in place–
And Megatron cupped the side of his helm.
They could have– They should–
They needed to call the Ark.
They didn’t.
“You have made it rather difficult to get a hold of you,” Megatron commented, glancing up at Sunstreaker briefly before his attention fell back to Sideswipe. A thumb brushed across his brother’s lips, and when surprise parted them, the thumb dipped in.
What the fuck rang between them, shock too deep for Sideswipe to even remember to do a damn thing as Megatron’s digit gently explored the inside of his mouth: stroking along his glossa, scraping against his denta–
“Didn’t want to see you,” Sunstreaker said after too much of a delay, hating the utter lack of aggression in his voice. Instead he was just breathless; almost a whisper.
But this wasn’t really going as they would have expected. He wasn’t sure what they were actually expecting, but this? This wasn’t it.
“Oh?” Megatron questioned. He didn’t sound offended.
The thumb retreated from Sideswipe’s mouth, but only for the tyrant’s claws to trace the curves of his helmet thoughtfully—with a frown. It was as if he was comparing the present to the past, noting all of the differences in their frame designs… And disliking what he saw.
Sideswipe shivered as the touch just continued. “What do you want?” the red twin asked in a murmur, staring up into the red optics bearing down on him with weight that pinned him in place.
“You,” came the answer, spoken softly.
They’d heard that before.
Sideswipe caught his lower lip between his denta and tried to forget, not think. Not think about that.
Not think of the past. Where was their resolve?
“Can’t have it,” the red twin managed with just the smallest hint of a growl in his voice.
“And why not?”
“You’re the enemy.”
“But I wasn’t always.”
“You were.” The bad they could remember.
Resolve.
Megatron changed the topic smoothly. “Why did you disappear?”
Silence. Sideswipe glared; Sunstreaker frowned, as much as Megatron wasn’t looking at him.
When they gave nothing in the way of an answer, the tyrant made a guess. “Was it because of your owner?”
Ugh… “Yes.”
“Not by choice?”
Was this the right spot to admit to anything? They hazarded an answer anyway. “…No?”
“There you have it,” Megatron rumbled, and they got the feeling they had already shared too much—given Megatron ammunition to use against them, if he wouldn’t have been able to guess correctly anyway. “You didn’t leave by choice. If you had gotten to choose, I wonder… Would you have left at all?”
Sideswipe bared his denta, only for the corner of Megatron’s mouth to pull into a smile. It was a genuinely amused little thing, as if he found their resistance charming. Not worth taking seriously, because what could they truly have done against him, even together?
The red twin went back to mere glowering, and they didn’t answer.
Megatron gave them a moment before he phrased the question differently. “Did you have any reason to leave?”
“Oh, you slagger,” Sunstreaker growled. Megatron didn’t avert his gaze from Sideswipe, but he didn’t need to. The golden twin continued, “Are you willingly forgetting all the shit you put me through, again? I had every reason to leave and my only fragging regret is that I didn’t so earlier.”
“You lie,” their old lover stated simply.
And that was all. He said nothing else. When it was confirmed that he would just let the silence reign and pet Sideswipe’s face with his thumb, Sideswipe was the one to speak their confused, “What?”
“Had you reason to leave, you would have simply left. Am I wrong?” He didn’t give them a chance to answer before he continued, “But you had no reason, and you didn’t leave before someone forced you.”
“It’s not that simple!” Sunstreaker tried to argue, gesturing angrily at nothing in particular–
But Megatron didn’t let him finish his argument. “Is it not? Didn’t you make it clear you would find a way to go, were you given a reason?”
Sideswipe opened his mouth to speak; Megatron cut him off before he could make a peep, “But I never gave you a reason. You stayed until someone else said you couldn’t anymore. Can you blame me for thinking you would have remained by my side otherwise?”
Sunstreaker ground his denta together but held onto his argument. “You kept me from leaving even if I had wanted to,” he accused as quickly as he could, before Megatron said anything more.
“If you had wanted to? Which is it? Did you want to, or did you not?” the tyrant asked, still holding Sideswipe captive as effectively as if his brother was paralyzed. His thumb brushed across his cheek, his nasal ridge, to his lips… It was hard to not focus on that too much. “Answer honestly. What do you have to lose by speaking the truth?”
Everything. Sunstreaker balled his servos into fists, turning his gaze to the side before the urge to beat the fragging bastard’s helm in got the better of him. Where would that have gotten him? Fragged into the ground again, if he knew anything about their lover.
But he wanted honesty? Slagging… What was the honest answer, anyway?
They could remember. Even that very last evening, they could remember. “No,” Sideswipe said, wanting so badly to turn his helm away from Megatron’s all-seeing scrutiny and too gentle touch, yet having not the freedom of motion to do so– “I didn’t want to leave.”
Their fields blushed with the old emotion—the thrill only Megatron could cause, heady and suffocating–
He’d never gotten enough of it. Everything had only added to the… Danger. The threat of what Megatron could have done to him, and yet… What he never did. No matter how he pushed, there were things Megatron never did, things he never said.
But what he did to so many others. Sunstreaker had been special. The exception. He had owned a piece of Megatron no one else did, that others scarcely even saw.
What was the tradeoff?
All the things they’d had… The things Megatron had done for them, never asking anything in return but their loyalty.
Megatron’s mouth pulled into a smile as true as any of his were, but this time Sideswipe was the one to speak before giving him a chance, “But that doesn’t mean I want to come back.”
“It does not?” Megatron questioned. “Do you hold loyalty to a faction you were forced into?”
“That’s past,” Sunstreaker growled. “Things have–“
“And not only that,” the warlord continued with no heed for his turn to speak, “but they knowingly took your memories. Why? Did they think it best you didn’t remember your past in fear of where your loyalty would be if you did? That it was better to have a soldier that was never given a choice, that knew of nothing else? Incapable of making an educated decision for himself?”
“Fuck you,” Sideswipe snarled, trying to yank his helm away, “You wouldn’t have given me a choice either.”
Megatron wouldn’t let him go anywhere, tightening his hold until Sideswipe was still again. “Oh, but I did,” he said, near growling now. “Hadn’t I already begun to gather my followers, formed the Decepticons? Didn’t I have more mecha join under my banner each and every day? Yet I never once told you you needed to do the same.”
That… Wasn’t untrue. They’d barely ever even discussed the rebellion despite how hard Megatronus—and later Megatron—had worked on it, had they? Megatron hadn’t brought work into their relationship.
He had to have read their uncertainty, because the growl turned into a purring rumble rising directly from the warlord’s engine—soothing, almost. “You see. But you can still choose. It’s not too late.”
“No,” Sunstreaker said immediately. “Let the past be past. Optimus, Prowl, Ratchet, ‘Hide—they never did anything to me and have nothing to do with the mistakes of others.”
“Haven’t they?” Megatron asked, lifting one of his optical ridges as if he didn’t believe him. “How do they treat you, really? With true understanding?”
They held to their silence, not that it would have necessarily mattered anyway. If Megatron wanted to speak, he spoke.
But their silence was an answer of sorts anyway, and the tyrant had more to say. ”What of the rank and file? Do they treat you as one of their own?”
“Yes,” Sideswipe spoke up at that, snarling. “I have friends, mecha that care about me–“
“If they truly cared about you, wouldn’t they learn to understand you, as I did?” He couldn’t have known if any of them did or didn’t, he was just making guesses–
Sideswipe bared his denta again. “It’s not that simple.”
“It isn’t? Do tell, what is so complex about it?”
“I work different than they do. They don’t understand something so disparate. They see two frames and think I’m two, they don’t see—and that’s normal–“
“You’re making excuses for them,” Megatron interrupted him. “I see you; what is preventing them from doing the same?”
Sideswipe’s jaw snapped shut and Sunstreaker frowned. What was preventing them? Their own biases and limited view of the world? Didn’t that apply to everyone?
Then why was Megatron different?
The warlord offered the one explanation he seemed to believe, “They don’t care about you enough to bother to understand something so special—so beautiful and unique,” he rumbled at them. Sideswipe blinked up at the gaze that had never once left him. ”Primus forbid they go through the trouble of doing so. How many have even tried? How many of them yet failed when it turned out to be too much effort?”
They’d spoken of these things, back in the Pits. They’d shared their frustrations with Megatronus, yet their acceptance of it all—they were alien on their own world and that was all most would see, it was something they just had to live with–
But also their pleasure over him being unlike most.
He wasn’t the only one. There had been others, even during the war–
But they were a rare breed and dead by now.
Megatron wasn’t, though. Megatron was living proof it could be done… Maybe not to perfection, but to an impressive point nonetheless, if one…
…Cared enough to do so.
“No,” Sideswipe said all the same, finding his growl for the next words, “you won’t have me.”
“Leave,” Sunstreaker continued with a snarl of his own, taking one step closer to Megatron and Sideswipe. Sideswipe tried to yank himself free again, but he only succeeded because Megatron let him.
Megatron let him pull away, get up, and step out of reach, rising from his own crouch at a leisurely pace. “Think on what I said,” he said, stepped two paces back and–
Transformed and took to the skies.
