The way it works is it's a surgery to make you immune to a bullet.

Note, that's not the same as being immune to bullets. You're only immune to a single shot: if someone shoots you twice, you're dead.

You can take the surgery again, though. The only real limitation is that you gotta wait 2-3 weeks between each time. But if you've got the money and the time, you can be as bulletproof as you want.

It doesn't "refill", by the way. Often when the surgery is explained people think it's like "a bullet a day" or "you can get shot once a year" or whatever. Nope! Once you've been shot it's just like you never had that surgery to begin with. If you want to "refill" that immunity? You have the surgery again.

No, there's no upper limit to how many times you can go, that we know of at least. There's one guy in Florida who has made it "his thing" to get the surgery as often as he can. He's currently up to about 50. Obviously there's some people online who've said they're gonna shoot this guy and lower his "record", just to be countrary.

Anyway I'm sure there'd be people who have even higher numbers (anyone who has "getting shot" as a major occupational risk, ie, politicians, soldiers, cops, and anyone doing any kind of residental survey in rural areas), but they only invented the surgery like three years ago, it's just simple math: you can't do much better than that guy.

The invention of the surgery hasn't done much to decrease gun sales, though. I mean, there's been a slight increase in people buying guns with larger capacity, for what I'd consider obvious reasons.

I did see an article suggesting that in the long run it might end up increasing the sale of guns. See their analysis is that two factors are going to drive up gun ownership:

1. People will be more willing to shoot at trespassers and thieves and such, because it'll be more like a warning shot: if they have some immunity, it won't be murder. So far that hasn't really happened as not that many people have the surgery yet. Although it's spreading fast, only major cities have surgeons trained in it, and often waits for surgery can be months long.

2. Conversely, people are going to be more likely to break in and rob and trespass if they know they can't be shot dead for it, because they got the surgery. There'll be a minor uptick in home invasions and such and this'll cause a big predictable panic among middle class homeowners who are now terrified some hooligan is gonna break into their house to steal their iPads. Thus they go throw money at security systems and cameras and guns.

So who knows at this point. If the cost (in both time and money) comes down, maybe it becomes super common for people to be so effectively invulnerable to guns that there's really no point in owning one?

I do agree with the common consensus that this is going to drive a big increase in crimes committed with knives and such. Why take a risk that your target might be immune?

Which reminds me of another thing to clarify because sometimes people online get this very wrong: it's only for bullets! You are not immune to getting hit by a car or poisoned or set on fire. Don't walk into traffic or anything, jesus.

Oh one last thing: there is a blood test that can tell if you have immunity, but it can't tell how many times you've had the surgery. You gotta figure that out yourself: so ask your doctor, search your emails, something. Every day I'm hearing from healthcare workers saying someone came in to get the blood test and it had to be explained to them that we can't tell how much protection you have: only if it's there or not. And I feel like a fool for having to say this, but REMEMBER to subtract any times you've got shot! (if you have been) Obviously!

EDIT: In light of recent events, people are sharing this post and arguing about it a lot, but let me be clear: grazes and small cuts do not count! The exact dividing line is too complicated to explain here (look up "circulatory shock" on Wikipedia), but basically if you don't end up with a big hole in you, the shot doesn't trigger the immunity.

That's how it works: you could have an ear blown clean off, and you'd still not trigger an immunity. So please stop spreading that idiotic conspiracy theory that a former president didn't have any immunity. You can barely run a high-school without being required to have immunity to hold the position, because what if someone shoots you? Come on! Of course he has immunity.

For all we know he's got some prototype experimental shit they use on president's that got him up to 200 in a couple days. There's endless rumors of the DoD funding billions in black budget items to that sort of thing, because of course. Who wouldn't want a way to make bulletproof soldiers? You laugh and he continues to stroke your legs, his elbow resting on the edge of the sofa, holding his head.

You close your book and look at him, "What's the matter with you tonight?" you say, smiling. That's why he loved coming home at night, because he knew he'd get his fill of gossip, and he loved it. Your life was so much simpler than his and yet all the relationships between your friends seemed so complicated, but he loved hearing you talk. He loved, above all, to rest his head on your chest and hear your vocal chords resonate and your heart beat. You were there, you'd always be there, waiting for him. What had he done to deserve someone who could put up with his lifestyle and his much busier-than-average schedule, with the added risk of never coming back once he left the house? But fate had put you in his path, and he thanked the gods every day for that.

The gossip session must have lasted a good two hours, you coming back again and again to the same stories from the past, he knew them by heart but he could listen to them every day without flinching.

You get up just as early to go and look in the oven, the lasagna couldn't wait for the gossip session to end. Gojo stands up, laughs and walks over to you. Honestly, he's a little complicated to figure out, and I think he doesn't even know what he wants. While he would love a partner that is completely dependent on him and pays attention to no one else, he hates partners that are too clingy and need a lot of attention. If you need reassurance that he loves you or get offended easily, it's a hard no. He wants someone easy to manipulate and who'll do whatever he says, almost worshiping him, but also has tough skin. Sometimes I think of how long Natsuyuu's been going and how much we STILL don't know about Natsume's parents, Reiko, and how they died and any other mystery that's been introduced.

The Natsume family members dying off for multiple generations to the point Natsume's dad changed his last name to keep bloodline going and now Natsume is the only one left does really imply yokai involvement (or some sort of genetic disease, and I think the former is more likely since it's obviously more relevant to the story).

(For those who don't know, I was informed of this in the past, but the reason Natsume has his mother's last name is because in Japan there's more of an emphasis on not letting the "family" die out since they can go back for a ton of generations, and in order to keep the bloodline going there's a practice of "adopting" a husband into the family sometimes.

So since Natsumom had no relatives, Dad probably changed his last name so the family name wouldn't die, especially since he clearly has plenty of relatives to carry on his bloodline/family name. This is also why the Fujiwaras don't officially adopt Natsume, it would be important for him to keep his name.)

Like was Natsume's Mom killed by a yokai she couldn't even see because they smelled Reiko on her or they were targeting bb Natsume? Did a yokai kill Natsume's dad too? Kind of horrifying!

('Dying shortly after I was born' usually implies childbirth complications, but I hope not, Natsume would find a way to blame himself if it was that).

Makes you scared for Natsume regardless. I mean not really because I don't think the manga would ever kill him, but in-universe the Natsumes clearly have a short life expectancy and I wonder if the Fujiwaras have noticed the pattern and get worried about it (Natsume's probably contemplated his high likelihood of dying young even without the family history, though :( ).

Anyway will any of these questions ever be answered? Who knows.

It's hilarious that it's been over a 100 chapters and here's the completely list of what we know about Reiko's circumstances and Natsume's family so far. (Note I'm not caught up with the manga, I just know what season 7 covered, and I'm still the process of reading the parts the anime covered too, so there might be manga info I'm missing)

Reiko is implied as also having lost her parents and was probably living with relatives too. They apparently did not like her and likely didn't treat her well.

Natsume's grandfather was also involved with yokai somehow, possibly with exorcists, and he was in the same area where Natsume lives at some point. It is possible he's the "guy from the next town over" who Reiko says "buys her manjuu and nags a lot" but that's not been confirmed.

Reiko died young and she was found dead under a tree. It was when Natsume's mother was very young, since she doesn't remember much about her. We don't know what killed her.

Natsume's grandfather was missing for whatever reason, no one ever saw him or knew who he was, and Reiko raised Natsume's mom alone. They never married, or at least people think they didn't. We don't know if he's still alive, but he might be.

Reiko met Nyanko sensei at some point, but we have no idea how, when, how close they were (definitely pretty close though, since Nyanko sensei spent enough time with her that he can take her form, and is clearly attached to her. But he also doesn't seem to know all that much about her, meaning she didn't confide in him.) and if she was involved in him getting sealed. Because we still have no idea how that happened.

All of Natsume's relatives on his Mom's side are gone. We don't know why.

Natsume's Mom probably couldn't see yokai.

Natsume's Mom was quiet and kind and loved flowers and gardening. She died shortly after he was born. We don't know what killed her.

Natsume's dad was also nice and he died when Natsume was very young thus Natsume can't remember much. Probably it was when Natsume was in the 3-6 range. We don't know what killed him.

I guess people on Natsume's dad's side of the family knew Reiko somehow despite her dying way before Natsume's mom married his dad since they talk like they knew her distantly or knew her reputation? That means Reiko and Natsume's Mom must have lived close to Natsume's dad at some point. Some of it could be Natsume's mom finding info on her mother and relaying it, like maybe she was told how she died.

And that all. Half of it is extremely vague or just implied or just a possibility too lmao. And what happened with Nyanko sensei getting sealed is another big mystery introduced in episode one we've gotten ZERO INFORMATION about since. Has Natsume even tried to ask how he got sealed. Are you not curious at all, Natsume. He probably figures it's a touchy subject I guess?

It's a good thing the manga is so good at those episodic adventures and developing Natsume and his relationships, otherwise this would drive me to tears.

Of course, enemies with all the night mercenaries, except for Strike who he hasn't really met face to face yet. He knows about everyone, at least everyone I knew on the chart, cause of course he does it's his job.

BIRD:

Also, close friends with the other guardians, has an obvious crush on Dream, he doesn't make it subtle at all. Best friends with Ccino (I think that is Ccino) and visits his shop regularly. Friends with Zero, as he was the one to find them and takes responsibility for them. Knows a few others but doesn't know as much as Dream does. Of course, he's enemies with the night mercenaries (Killer being his absolute least favorite out of them).

CROSS:

Again again, close friends with the other guardians. Not as close with Epic in this au due to memory loss. Has a kind of frenemy relationship with Bird as he's a bit jealous over his closeness with Dream. Enemies with the night mercenaries though he doesn't hate Dust, Horror, and Strike as much. Frenemies with Ink, Classic, and Red due to their complicated history. Hates Error for obvious reasons.

EPIC:

AGAINNNN, close friends with the other guardians. Has a crush on Cross, is in shambles that he lost his memories, and they don't have the relationship they once did. Queer Platonic relationship with Delta because I think they're cool, and he knows Reaper due to the countless times he has died. Reaper is pretty tired of him at this point. Best friends with Color, though they don't get to meet up often due to Epics new obligations as a guardian. Friends with Ccino, Fresh, Sci, and Dance. Enemies with the night mercenaries though he has less of an opinion on Horror, Dust, and Strike.

KILLER:

Frenemies with the other mercenaries besides Strike, who he is actually pretty close to. Although I do personally like to ship them on my own time, they are not canon, simply close friends who share trauma and find comfort in each other. HATES Bird for personal reasons, and the fact that he once sent him flying into a building. Envies Classic of course, seeing him as what he could've had. Frenemies with Swap and Ink surprisingly, Swap just wants to get through to him but has recently just given up. Also, frenemies with Ccino but does envy him for being able to have cats, cats that Nightmare doesn't immediately slaughter. Of course, has sort of romantic feelings for Color, but is far too terrified of change, and nightmare, to go through with it.

STRIKE:

This guy does not give a fuck about anything else but his own personal vendetta against this child, he will track this kid to the ends of the universe. I guess he also likes Killer, and feelings ARE there but only due to the fact that Killer was the only person to show him any ounce of kindness in the past 20 years.

ZERO:

Knows nothing of the others, doesn't care to, their vision is only set on the prize ahead. Nothing else matters.

Hi, do u think Leon is an affectionate dad, or not?

Mm, depends on which timeframe of Leon's life we're talking here! The simple answer is: yes, he's a huge people's person as he is, and that will definitely translate into his relationships with his loved ones. But outside factors and his overall mental state do play a big part into his way of interacting with them.

DI Leon and onwards is a massive affectionate goofball with his loved ones, obviously that very much includes his kid, too. He's that type of dad that embarasses his kids with lots of kisses, sappy nicknames (despite them being grown) and terrible dad jokes. I'd say that's him at his best and his most natural. He's playful, he's loving, and he's not afraid to show that off. He's the definition of a doting dad, basically. Even if he can't always be around for one reason or another. He's at a place in life where he's relatively at peace with his circumstances and just wants to make the best of what he has.

Damnation and RE6 era Leon's are a bit more reserved than that, but still soft and immensely loving. Not as playful as him at his DI era, but still more than capable of cracking a pun or two. This Leon is a dad that's not perfect, as sometimes he can be pretty distant, or say something that comes out wrong in a moment of frustration or hurt, but he sure tries his absolute best. And he does make his love for his kid known. Long, crushing hugs after his assignments, expensive gifts that are actually meaningful because he goes through the effort of listening to his kid when they talk to him about their life or interests, hurrying across the State to get to their big moments in school on time, even if he's late, panting and sweating buckets. He's not perfect, but he doesn't need to be. He makes mistakes and messes up, but it's hard to be upset with him when it's obvious that he's doing the best he can.

ID Leon, on the other hand, is complicated. Caring yet firm and distant in his affections. He tries his hardest to be the best dad he can be, but he struggles with being genuine. It's not because he doesn't care. The opposite. The last thing he wants is to taint his kid's life with his work and all the ugliness that comes with it. But because he tries so hard to keep them guarded from it, he can't help but keep his distance from them for their own sake. Because this darkness and ugliness is a part of him. He can't deny it or run from it. But he sure tries his hardest to do so. Much like he does with Claire, he will go against them in order to keep them safe. He won't argue, nor will he raise his voice, ever. Just silent acceptance for what must be done, at least in his own head. In a way, that would be even more frustrating for the child involved. Especially when their dad is so obviously hurting - both physically and mentally - but refuses to let them in. It all comes from a deep place of love, though. Not apathy. Even if it's not exactly healthy.

And Vendetta Leon, well... He has a lot of issues. I don't think he'd get angry or cold with his kid, no. He loves them way too much to do that. But he is so very disappointed in himself. In his helplessness, in his failures, in his life. How can he be a father his precious baby deserves when he seemingly can't save a single person? He is disgusted and ashamed with himself. And those feelings of self-hatred only worsen when he's drunk. Which is ironic, considering that he drinks to escape those very same feelings. He's too ashamed to see them. But I could also see him breaking down in front of his kid, too. Venting and laying it all bare with no expenses spared. It's not healthy on his part. He shouldn't be burdening a kid with something like this. But he's just too lost to try and fight it. It's not that Vendetta Leon isn't affectionate with his child. It's that he feels like he doesn't deserve to indulge in that affection. So, he closes himself off instead, denying himself what he truly wants and needs.

1 ) Lae'zel is the most likely to earn her Red Wings. Sorry Astarion, but she's built different. His complicated relationship with sex would delay him having that chat I think, but maybe he can take the second place.

Lae'zel on the other hand always seems into her lover, and as a Githyanki would not have the same cultural understanding of menstruation. Why would it gross her out? She's seen her lovers blood before, on rare occasion spilled it herself. Finding out that they just bleed, casually, on a fairly regular basis as a part of their fertility cycles would both amaze and disturb her. We know her opinion on pregnancy and birth, so she'd find the reasoning behind menstruation to be pitiable, but the physical reality of it would be no less fascinating to her. Pour one out for any lover she has who isn't as comfortable with it as she is, because she fully will not understand their discomfort.

2 ) Gale isn't very good at sharing a kitchen. He's all too happy to cook for those he loves, be it romantic or platonic. In many ways it's an act of love and devotion, and it never feels like a chore to him even when he doesn't get much thanks.

He's less happy to have people cook for him, but he's mature enough to step aside. It'd be selfish of him to deny others the pleasure he sees in cooking, so as long as it's not too often he can accept it. Tho, in his youth I do imagine he was a picky eater, and his preference for cooking started there. Boy genuinely felt he was the best cook since he liked his food the best. Genius that one is.

His grace collapses when he's forced to share a space while cooking. Unless you remain out of arms length from him at all times he will make an annoyed little huff every time he sees you. It's not personal, you're just throwing off his groove. If frustrated enough he will simply grab your shoulders and move you out of his way. His ideal form of cooking together is him doing all the cooking, and you simply sitting in the corner talking to him, occasionally trying whatever he presents. It's a good thing.

3 ) Wyll actually has an unhinged story for just about every part of Baldur's Gate. I firmly believe we only got to hear a sliver of his stories in the game. I'm sure he knows not everyone wants to hear every detail, so he only shares what he thinks are the good bits. However, all you need to do to find out more is to ask him if he's been to that location before.

Oh to wander around the city with him on a lazy afternoon.

That fence? He was 12 when he climbed it, fell from near the top. His father was nearly beside himself, but a bush broke young Wyll's fall so he suffered no real injury. Just to his pride.

That tower outcropping? At only 8 years old young Wyll had wandered off, amazed at the view. Curled up in a little window hole, he fully missed the Fist hunting for him. Poor Ulder thought he'd been snatched away. Florrick found him asleep on the ledge, hours after he wandered off.

Keep him talking and you'll get nothing done. Wyll would thrive as a bard.

4 ) I think Halsin has large ebbs and flows in his libido. He's very sex positive, but I don't think that means he's hypersexual. He's had phases of his life where he certainly was, both before and after his drow capture, but it's not his baseline.

On the other hand he's had just as many phases of hyposexuality, sometimes lasting decades at a time. While I've used clinical language, he would not. To him his libido is simply obeying its own natural cycles, even though his highs and lows are more extreme than the average person may experience.

OMORI in PJO

Omori characters as demigods with very complicated family drama for some reason

Let's start happy- Kel and Hero are both sons of Apollo with different mortal parents who... married each other. So like the they're step siblings in the mortal side but also siblings in the Godly side 😭 Their Mama, with Aphrodite's gift passed down, fell in love with Apollo first, giving birth to Hero. Papa got mad for a bit but he also fell in love with Apollo and brought Kel. Orrr they met after getting kids, and became a couple as exes of Apollo, but I thought the former was funnier.

Kel, child of Apollo, Legacy of Hephaestus

Has the gift of Archery, but he mostly uses his perfect aim for basketball. Pretty fast and athletic. Curses rhyming couplets speech on others for pranks hehehe

Really likes music(ref: his jukebox in his room) but doesn't sing or play instruments much. Or well, he doesn't sing the lyrics- he keeps forgetting them lol

Can't heal, but his fast recovery(slightly more than average demigods) makes up for the random injuries he keeps getting running around

This applies to Hero too but they can't lie. They might get better in the future but rn, everyone's alive timeline, they suck at lying(ref: the poker game photos)

I actually added the Hephaestus thing last minute. It's pretty far down the family tree, so the only thing he inherited was speaking to machines(ref: the rock hector) no Kel, the messiness wasn't passed down, stop blaming your great great grandfather.

Hero, child of Apollo, legacy of Aphrodite

Their mother is from a legacy of Aphrodite, so not only did he get Apollo's gift of healing from his fatherly side, he also got Charmspeak from his motherly side.

Since he's naturally good at music, he learnt that one piano piece from Mari very quickly. I have a headcanon that he can't sing but like it's a headcanon so you can ignore that if you want.

Unlike his lil brother and other demigod half siblings, he does NOT have any athletic abilities. Man will run for barely a minute and can't go on any longer. He sticks to healing ppl.

The one time he's actively trying to (nonserious)charm someone, Mari seems sooo unaffected lolol

Next- Sunny and Mari. Mari is a daughter of a mortal mother and demigod father of Poseidon.

Later on, though, Mommy fell in love with Hypnos(God of sleep) which was the beginning of Father's dislike for Sunny.

Sunny, child of Hypnos

Demigod powers were kept a secret from the kids bec that'd be admitting Mommy cheated. Sunny always had conscious and vivid dreams, thinking it was normal.

Later on, him and Mari are taught by Hecate bec of their good visualisation and memory, though Sunny used it for fun and battle while Mari only manipulated the mist to keep up her good student record at school. Ok wait shoot this supposed to be abt Sunny.

Uhhh when their demigod sides were revealed, Sunny used his power to manipulate his friends' dreams when they come to him for nightmares (ex: Aubrey, Basil.)

Mari, legacy of Poseidon

Ok yall are gonna be like "why didn't you make Mari child of Apollo instead of Kel and Hero" ok it's because she'd been more sporty before she started learning piano (i think?? Ok maybe that was more fanon than canon) but her piano skills had to be learned.

Her knee was bad for a while and bec of that she avoided swimming. That time Sunny was drowning, however, Mari didn't care and just jumped in to save him. Looky here, her knee healed up! Should've gone swimming sooner.

Can't control the water, can't stay dry, can't speak to animals, but they all like her so she'll never die of tsunamis and sharks. Can't drown either, but it still isn't a good idea to stay underwater for too long..

Actually no she can control a tiny sprinkle of water, just enough to make Iris messages or cause distractions. Or scare monsters into thinking she has more powers from Poseidon.

Aubrey, child of Zeus

Please don't just think I'm gonns make her like Thalia. I mean her mom's messed up too and they got the cool aesthetic and. Um. Sighs.

Latched onto Mari immediately bec of the Big Three Godly power attracting monsters. She's more powerful than her, being a direct daughter of Zeus, but respects her a lot ++

Can fly but she'd rather ride her motorbike. Bec of this, people thought she's a kid of Ares. The war god does wish she was his kid, but alas, he cannot adopt.

Hera hates her the most. The feeling is mutal.

Gives tiny shocks to Kel when he's annoying her. He always thought she was being too harsh on him, until he saw what she does to the real enemies. It's very dangerous to be in her vicinity when she's mad.

Basil, child of Dionysus

Thought he was a child of Demeter? So did he. IM SORRY DJWNDNSAHAHAH I thought it'd be hilarious. This isn't plot convenient, it's joke convenient.

""Basil.. My daughter- I mean, your mother died when you were so young.. Please forgive me for letting this happen.." Grandma held his hand sorrowfully.

"It's okay, I understand," Basil smiled kindly, all the while thinking his mom was a lesbian who fell in love with Demeter.

Has pretty powerful vine control. He only used his powers for battle and never for his planting hobby, so he didn't realise that his powers were limited to grapevines.

Besties with Aubrey, especially when she told him her home situation. Made all her mother's alcohol taste bad. Hates Hera along with her and calls her granny.

Kim and Vance are children of Hermes. It's the catalyst for their mortal parents' divorce

Angel is a child of Ares. Again, I thought it was funny 👉👈 his sister(Artist) is completely mortal but can see through the mist, even ones made by other half-bloods

Charlene and her siblings are children of Hades. Doesn't she have 5 siblings? Hades what the heck.

Mikhael, Daphne, and Bowen are children of Athena. I did this for Mikhael's journey throughout the game, trying to find another talent to separate himself from his family. Absolutely hates his cap of invisibility.

Cris is a child of Poseidon, very cool and lowkey. Actually the one to tell him *not* to claim her bec swimming had been her favourite thing until she spiraled wondering if it was because she was a child of the sea god or if it was really her. :)

Mincy is a child of Demeter! :D she likes to use her powers to make places look prettier(ex:playground) and practice flower drawings.. and when she's on the art grind, she just summons a fruit to eat rq and continue. Gotta be careful, if she overworks herself, she gets artblock until the next spring.

Polly, all hail Polly, I heard ppl theorize that Sally from pjo was a daughter of Aphrodite so I'm gonna do that with her. Polly's a daughter of Aphrodite. Ofc she is.

I initially didn't want to post this anywhere for reasons, but well, here we are. Likely out of character, so just a warning. But, enjoy some good ol' Oilrose angst!

J slides down the wall of the pod, her fists clenching, the claws at the tips of her servos digging into the metal of the palms of her hands, drawing a small trickle of oil from the marks. She feels like she wants to cry, and she doesn't even totally understand why. She doesn't understand why she's been feeling like this lately. She should be fine, she'll leave the planet soon, inevitably die. But her core beats so rapidly against her chest as if it's going to jump out, and is she panicking?

A memory plays.

-MEMORY.log// "J. I love you," V says carefully, firmly, enunciating every syllable, her yellow eyes gleaming with sincerity, and yet the leader steps back.

"What?" Is J's response, taking another step back, her voice full of disbelief. Is this what her subordinate seriously wanted to meet for? She had-. She had other things to attend to (she didn't, the sun would rise any moment now). She steels her expression, gaze hardening. Looks away. "You can't," she hisses, a frown playing across her lips.

"Really? I can't?" V questions, tone smug, cocking her head, quirks a digital brow. She's smirking, J can observe as she glances at her.

J swallows. Why did her subordinate complicate this, this time? Why… now? No matter, they were almost done on this planet-. V's memories would be erased soon. "I-," J pauses, changes her wording to ones of confirmation instead, repeats, "you can't."

She doesn't elaborate. One last step back. Her wings deploy.

V looks hurt, and J thinks that she can vaguely hear a quiet utter of her name but she doesn't want to care.

J takes off with a quick downwards thrust, tries to ignore the guilt that creeps up on her.

A tear animates and falls down her visor, finally.

Another memory plays.

-MEMORY.log// And V kisses her, rough and heated, slams her against the wall of the corpse spire, tail coiling itself around her waist to keep her in place with the canister settling at her side. J shivers, places her hands against her subordinate's chest, considers shoving V away, but it feels nice… V's lips moving against hers with such pent-up aggression and raw emotion, and the leader hesitantly reciprocates, moving her hands up to squeeze V's shoulders. Finds herself… accepting it.

V growls into the kiss, before finally pulling away, leaning her forehead against the leader's, eyes narrowed. "Don't you get it, J?"

Yet, the leader shakes her head no. Tongue feeling as if it's too heavy in her mouth to allow her to speak.

"I still love you, you… idiot," V mutters quietly.

Normally, J would scold her for the insult. But she doesn't even register it, those words serving to bring J back to what happened all those months ago. She remembers? And why does V insist on playing with her emotions like this?

…

Suddenly it all makes sense.

The realization almost makes her hysterical-.

V loves her.

And she loves V, too, doesn't she?

They are bonded rather closely.

She'd go as far as to say she enjoys V's company.

She's tried to deny it for so long.

And now she breaks. Leans into V, who opts to wrap her arms around J, uncoils her tail so that it sways behind her.

More tears animate. Fall down her visor. On shaky legs though, she stands. Her hands shift out, replaced by three hooked talons. She still leans against the wall, those very talons digging into the metal of the pod, piercing it. Damage she'll have to fix later.

And another memory plays.

-MEMORY.log// They sit on the rooftop of some tall building, staring at the ringed moon of Copper-9 as it illuminates the planet. The disassemblers lean against each other, both of them with soft smiles on their faces, so unlike their usual selves. But well, it is just them out here.

Although hesitantly, even awkwardly, J moves her arm to wrap it around V's middle, pulling her even closer.

"This is nice," V mumbles quietly.

"Mhm," J hums in agreement, her hand rubbing comforting circles against V's back. "Love you," she mumbles.

"I love you, too," V giggles happily, smugly. J rolls her eyes, though it's playful.

J snarls, wants to break something but there's nothing around and she really doesn't want to break the only chair within the pod.

She ruined it all. And for what?

Because she believed that there was truly no escape.

Hah.

She really is an idiot.

"Well, I never needed either of you," J coldly utters, tries to protect herself, and yet she hates the look of hurt and betrayal that crosses V's expression just before her missile launcher fires.

It makes contact.

J noticed the bond that V now harbors with N and that… worker, evident during their fight (and after, when J watched them from the shadows).

She finally has something that J could never give her, doesn't she?

J never really was… affectionate.

And honestly, neither was V.

But that doesn't matter, does it?

The leader always was selfish.

And in the end, J ruined it by betraying them in the first place.

She really screwed up.

And she could never fix it.

When this stupid spaceship is fixed, she'll be long gone.

Forgotten.

Because there was just no point in staying.

Alternative version of Lord Neo, belonging to a "Branch World" (better called Alternative Line What If?) named Dark Fall Ending

Being an Alternative line What If? the history of Metal Organic as certain events of this universe happen in a VERY different way, where it leads him to experience the worst things alongside his only brother.

"Due to his appearance, he is mistaken for someone young. He lives in a remote, cold region near a small town called Cold City. Even though he is the owner of a multi-million dollar company, he does not present himself publicly. If he has to, he sends a representative or presents himself in another appearance. Being an alternate version it is very different from Prime Lord Neo it would have differences, the most noticeable is that it is a more mature and long-lived version than Lord Neo himself, hence why its appearance is different.

The reason that its appearance is very different to the point of almost not looking like a hedgehog is because in the past by transforming too much in its dragon form it eventually acquired characteristics of said form being now a mix of its dragon and hedgehog appearance.

By selling its creations, products and raw materials to other companies, over time it became a fairly recognized billionaire especially for its technology that almost no one has access to (only he keeps the best) it almost always has to be working and rarely has vacations ..... unless it receives extra help and can relax for a whole month or more.

Being the only one of his species, along with his brother, they have to keep a low profile so as not to attract attention. That is why he prefers not to show his face to the public, apart from also to avoid being hunted.

Due to the experiences he went through in the past, his personality became more analytical and distrustful, always on the defensive, making him a very lonely person, although he shows a more educated and understanding side.

The reason he decided to change his name is to go more unnoticed, also for security reasons and so that no one easily recognizes him as the fearsome Lord Neo

His real name is still Neo, only his brother and trusted people who work for him call him by his real name

With the name change, his birthday was also changed to December 31st

The reason he put Teklight as his last name and not Robotnick is because he hates and despises his creator, he doesn't want to have anything that links him to him, in his words it disgusts him to even name him

He's only interested in being calm and that his brother is well so he almost doesn't consider even settling down (getting married) and if he does, in his words, looking for the woman of his dreams is complicated

He's just a businessman, being a conqueror is something he prefers to leave behind in his words "his old facet of a rebellious young man no longer goes with him"

He is semi-immortal due to a mutation that makes him quite long-lived, but he can die... there is only one person who knows how to kill him

Amy and Tails work for him, being one of the few who know his true identity

His sclerotids turn black when he is under extreme stress, anger/rage and feels that he is in danger

I'm having complicated feelings about OG SJ. Like -> his story is fucked and he was very badly damaged as a child, HOWEVER him treating Luo Binghe the way he did and just creating a cycle of violence is not okay. :( p234

People have expressed interest and my brain is desperate for a reason to procrastinate on the couch so there we go

"So what do I call you?" Crystal asks ot the end of her first day with the men who were hired to kill her.

She doesn't remember a lot from before they exorcised the demon who'd taken over her, and nothing from before that happened. She thinks there was thievery involved, hopefully the non violent kind, but it's all too blurry to tell. Like she'd been possessed by a shy demon, somehow.

"You heard our name," the wizard says.

He sounds as prickly as he did when Crystal first woke up, vaguely grateful to remember at least her name. Irritatingly straight backed, tightly wrapped into greenish-gray wizard robes with a high collar, gloved hands pressed together into fists. Crystal would have an easier time forgiving him all that if he hadn't told his colleague that he wasn't allowed to keep her, like she's a stray dog or something.

"I'm not going to call you 'Mr. Payne' forever," Crystal protests.

"Of course not," Mr. Payne replies, sounding scandalized. "You'll be gone long before then."

"Well, we can't really know that for sure, can we Mr. Payne?" Says Mr. Rowland.

Crystal can't quite tell if he's a soldier or a thief or some combination of the two. He's wearing maroon leather armor over a vivid red shirt that might have cost a little fortune to dye. He's lounging around the campfire, opposite Mr. Pain, and using one of his numerous daggers to whittle what looks like a little bear out of pale wood.

His hands pause in their movement when he turns to look at Crystal, pointing at her with the tip of the dagger:

"You sound nothing like the people for around here, for one," he says. "You clothes are completely wrong for the season, and we haven't heard anything about a girl going missing."

"Where is here, anyway?" Crystal asks, past the knot clawing at her throat. "Because it fucking sucks."

Mr. Payne clicks his tongue and rolls his eyes at the proclamation, but Mr. Rowland only chuckles. Crystal is right, anyway. There's nothing around but grass, grass and more grass, the occasional gaggle of sheep, and a forest on the horizon that's been covered in mist the whole day through.

"This," Mr. Payne says primly, "is the north of Hilarion. The nearest village about three days to the south of where we are, by foot, and if the environment is not to your convenience, you are very welcome to find transportation to wherever you came from by yourself."

"Easy, Mr. Payne. She's just a girl."

Mr. Payne shuts up, visibly irritated.

"Right," he says, brusquely getting to his feet. "I suppose it is time to bring out the agency. If you please."

He extends a hand, and Crystal watches Mr. Rowland hand him a piece of string, a fork, some fleece, and a pinch of lavender which Mr. Payne clicks his tongue at and immediately discards. Then he steps away from the fire, and starts drawing runes in the dirt.

"Don't mind him too much," Mr. Rowland says. "He's a good sort of chap. He's just not so good at showing it."

Crystal stares at him, skeptical, and he smiles. It doesn't last long, though: eventually, his face sobers up and his voice lowers as he adds:

"Besides, your case is turning rather more complicated than we expected it to be. That you aren't from here is one thing, demons rarely stay in place once they possessed someone... But the man who hired us specifically asked for you to be put down. Now we have to figure out how aware he was of your situation. If he knew, then the whole thing goes from a muck up to a potential assassination with us as its instrument, and that changes things."

"How?" Crystal asks, mostly so she doesn't have to think about the fact that someone might genuinely have wanted her dead.

"For one, it might force us to engage with law enforcement," Mr. Payne calls out over his shoulder. "Something we generally avoid."

He stands up again, wiping his hands, and Crystal notices the square wooden door standing behind him, where there was only empty air before.

"Come on," Mr. Rowland says, getting to his feet in one impossibly fluid motion, "let's have this conversation inside."

Well I feel down a Sanders Sides rabbit hole and now I have one fan fic idea that keeps playing in my head:

Remus and Roman are twins but they don't attend the same school because Remus was... himself and his parents were kindly asked to transfer him to a school that "fits his personality better". So he goes to a school a whole district over. He gets along with Roman and he loves him but they are very different people so they don't hang out a lot. Remus also can't stand the blatant favoritism they're parent give Roman. He thinks it's sweet that Roman tries to tap it down but it doesn't change anything.

Sp Remus spends most of his free time at his friend Janus house with his other friend Virgil. Janus also shouldn't be attending their school cause he's loaded but he hated the prep school he was sent to and transferred behind his parents back. Money can get you literally anything. Expect real friends which is why Janus loves Remus and Virg so much. Virgil is actually living at a near by boys home. As a kid his home situation wasn't great and he doesn't talk about it a lot. He ended up at Sanders House four years ago though and it's not too bad.

So anyway Roman has never meet Remus' friends and Remus has never met Roman's friend Patton and Logan. Whenever they come over is always at Janus' house. He knows they exist just like Roman knows Virgil and Janus do but they've not met in person over the last two years.

So it all starts pm a long weekend because Halloween is Friday. ( fun fact my school in gerogia gave us Halloween and Valentines off and used it as teacher workshop days.)

So of course the dark side trio is hype, roaming the mall, scaring people, judging costumes, and trying to find accessories to improve their own.

The light side trio is also their because Patton waited too late to get a "decent" (Roman's words) costume, and Logan was hoping to avoid getting one at all.

The crowds get so bad that everyone is separated. Luckily both sides actually have designated met spots, tho for very different reasons. The darks sides met spot is the horror section at Barnes and Nobles. It's large enough that Virgil won't feel claustrophobic and he can read some Poe while he waits and not have people constantly asking if he needs assistance. It was a place chosen, so he doesn't have a panic attack while he waits for his friends since he's the only one without a phone.

Patton has been trying to get on the elevator for the last five minuets but everyone time he tries to get on the same time as someone else he let's them all go first and theres no room for him. This goes on until a nice but kinda rude stranger just days "oh my gawd" and pulls him in as he in goes in. The stranger honestly looks way to well dressed to be here and doesn't even introduce himself. He just starts playing on his phone and Patton doesn't know whether saying thank you would be annoying or not. Janus on the other hand is texting Remus about how just met someone who reminds him a little of freshman Virgil and how he hopes he's not freaking out.

Logan has decided to take the stairwell because he knows that people arr less likely to use it over the escalators or elevators. He looks a floor above him and someone who kinda sorta looks like Roman sliding down the railing on his ass and laughing the whole time. He barely has time to dodge as someone yells " dodge nerd" and flies past him. Honestly Logans so surprised by whatever the hell that was that it take him two whole ass minutes to start walking again. Remus is just having a blast. He didn't think this would work and he saw a pretty cute nerd on the way down.

Roman is having a complicated time. He lgbtq teen romance section is usually in the front if the store but it's been switched with the horror section for the month. So here is is not being able to decide whether he should just stay here because the ia the physical spot he normals what's at or go the the actual section with all the books about the boys kissing that he likes to read. Virgil on the other hand is on the virge (ha) of kinda freaking out. He's happy that the sectionnis getting more love, even if it's only for money. But he liked that it was in the back and away from the crowds of people coming in and out. Not to mention theirs someone dude dresses like a prince yelling on the phone to someone named Patton about whether he should "go to the section of love and acceptance or stay in emo hell". Virgil is insulted enough by this to tell him Roman to please stop yelling and go to whatever section isn't here. Roman rolls his eyes calls him knock off Gerard way and ignores him. Virgil completely forgets how nervous he was becuase now his piss3d and they get into an arguments.

It ends when Patton walks in and calls for Roman at the same time that Janus calls in and calls for Virgil. They look to their friend seemingly coming in together and are about to complain to their respective friends when Janus, Virgil and Roman here a familiar voice go

"Brobro what are you doing here. Hey Jan, hey virge," and Remus walks in completely unaware of the fighting that was just happening. Virgil tries to actually get a good like at this guy's face and realizes that without the make up and general zanny disposition he does look a lot like Remus. Before anyone can respond tk that, an another person asks

"OH God Roman what did you do? Who are they?" And of course it's Logan.

So now are dark sides are standing on one side and all the lights on the other. As the two siblings and their two different friend groups collide. Teen hurt, comfort and angst ensues.

Episode 04

"Hearts Looking For Love"

It took me a while, but here I am again. I don't have anything new to comment on about the episode, just to say that of all the routes I play, my favorite conversation about romance was the one with Thomas. And by the way, the motorcycle ride came sooner than I expected. But that's not a complaint.

Like everyone else, I think, I was a bit disappointed with Jason's route in this episode. I mean, it was cool to hear the things he mentioned about relationships, about, for some mysterious reason, not being able to date someone seriously and all that. It left me curious, and I'm eager to find out the reason behind it. But that said, the picture moment was kind of... Meh. So, I decided to edit Amanda's picture, just like @kaumalade and @candysweetposts did. The context is completely different for my girl who, for now, is facing a mental battle to decide if she will open up to love again or not.

And about Roy, I don't have much more to say than what I said in my last post. Just one consideration: Have you noticed that in all his pictures so far, New Candy always has her mouth open?

Anyway, here are my headcanons for the episode:

Olivia, who is a sensitive person, was very shaken by all the recent events. From the kiss on the cheek she received from Roy during the game of truth or dare to the extremely cold breakup between Brune and Roy. She feels a bit guilty for being so relieved at how things ended. But overall, she tries not to think about it too much. It might be early, but she never denied that Roy affected her. She never had a serious relationship, and he seems different from the guys she has known.

There are no significant changes from the episode to how I imagine my headcanon of Colette. The only thing I altered is that since she and Thomas have been close acquaintances for some time, this wasn't the first time she rode on the back of his motorcycle. The conversation resonates with the same beats because it's very much in their nature, as Colette has a platonic crush but doesn't want to say anything too directly about it because she's afraid of his reaction. Still, it was a pleasure to know what he thinks about the subject. And since it was Thomas himself who brought up the topic, she couldn't help but feel a bit hopeful that things might develop in the future. She has had flings in the past, but they were never relationships that lasted long.

With Meredith, things happen quite differently. At Goldreamz, some employees started drooling over Jason's Instagram photos, which, by the way, Meredith herself manages and maintains. She overheard their passionate and platonic conversation and called them out to get back to work and stop gossiping. However, the conversation stayed on her mind for the rest of the day. As I mentioned before, the whole thing with Ioan happened to her, even though it was four years ago. She's in a tight spot. She doesn't want to make the same mistakes, and her heart is still hurting. The mourning period is always different for everyone. And her situation with Jason is complicated. He always teases her, she doesn’t hide that she likes it sometimes, though she’ll never admit it. But being his assistant, she knows the ins and outs of his life and understands it would be a real soap opera if she started to seriously invest in it. At night, leaving work, she takes a taxi home and, scrolling through her problematic boss's Instagram profile, admiring some photos, she reflects on the whole situation. An insecure expression. She is afraid of how things will unfold in the future.

Albedo Natural, mostly because he's well aware of the medical complexities of having a c-section, and the thought of being sliced open that deeply is...unsettling.

Bennett Natural. Doesn't give having a c-section any thought, though, with his bad luck, it might be a good thing he doesn't consider it.

Diluc C-section. He doesn't want to deal with hours and hours of labor and delivery. He's more than content to allow the medics to perform the operation and avoid the agony of labor. Doesn't take into account just how long the recovery would be, and is irritated he can't get back to work as fast as he'd like.

Kaeya Natural, he can't stand the idea of placing that much faith in anyone. He'd rather deal with a long labor.

Mika C-section. The doctors advise it seeing as he's carrying a very large baby and is rather small in size. He is a little sad at not doing it the natural way, but places his and his child's health first.

Razor Natural, he doesn't even know what a c-section is, and would most likely balk at the very idea of someone cutting into his womb.

Venti Natural, don't even think about getting near him with a scalpel, he's going to panic.

Liyue

Baizhu C-section. He's well aware his health is poor, and having the baby delivered via c-section is overall the safest option. Has a very difficult recovery, but he's happy his child was born safely.

Chongyun Natural, it never even crosses his mind.

Gaming Natural, but he doesn't heavily consider it after seeing one of his cousins give birth.

Xiao C-Section. His body recovers quickly from it, and within a few days, he's returned back to his pre-baby body. Everyone is pretty jealous.

Xingqiu Want's a c-section, but ended up giving birth naturally.

Zhongli Natural, he's witnessed a few people having their children cut from their wombs during the war. While it was done as a last attempt to save the child, the memory haunts him and he refuses to consider it.

Inazuma Arataki Itto Natural. A healer brings up the idea of a c-section since complications can arise for Oni during birth due to their horns, but Itto refuses, horrified at the very idea.

Ayato He wants a c-section, but traditionally, the Kamisato family has their children naturally, so he's out of luck.

Gorou Would be fine with either. Having a litter of pups is taxing, but the recovery of the operation is longer, weighs the pros and cons with Kokomi, and decides with her.

Kazuha Naturally, it's not even an option in his mind.

Heizou C-section, he has no desire to try and give birth naturally. Put him under and wake him up when it's all over.

Thoma Natural, but would be fine with a c-section if there was any reason to have one.

Sumeru

AlHaitham C-section all the way. Forget screaming and crying in labor, just cut it out. He'll deal with the lengthy recovery, just spare him the horrors of natural birth.

Cyno Natural, won't even consider another way.

Kaveh Natural, thinks he can handle it and will be just fine. By the time he decides he's fucked up and would in fact like a c-section, it's too late.

Sethos Natural, the thought of a c-section doesn't even occur to him.

Tighnari Natural for his first litter, gets a c-section for the next.

Freminet Naturally, all he wants is a peaceful water birth.

Lyney C-section, it scares him terribly, but natural childbirth scares him even more.

Neuvillette Natural, he doesn't trust anyone enough to perform such an intense operation him.

Wrio Natural, but wouldn't have any issue with a C-section if the doctors recommended it.

Fatui

Dottore C-section, does the operation on himself.

Capitano Natural, no one is sure....how it works, but it does.

Pantalone C-section, he's not about to endure the torment of childbirth, just slice it out and patch him up.

Pierro Natural, he doesn't have the luxury of a long recovery period.
