Do you mean those lists I did for a few of the Dwarves? I did Thorin, Dwalin, Óin, Bombur and Bifur, and I thought about doing the others too, but then I started writing again (after not doing it for several years) and now I'm kinda only doing short headcanons and longer ones only, when inspiration strikes, because I spend my evenings with writing fanfiction. And also, a lot of those headcanons end up in my longfic and I reached the point, where it got kinda spoilery, lol.

So, I kinda lost my momentum with those, so unfortunately I don't think I'll do lists for the rest of the company any time soon. Though, I do keep posting shorter headcanons, just nothing that takes so long (and the lists did take some time, even if it might not seem that way).

But thank you for asking about them! It warms my heart, whenever I see those posts getting notes :)

What is happening to Carmy and Sydney's relationship in this third season couldn't help but give me deja vu of what happened to Rick and Michonne's relationship in season 5 and 6 of The Walking Dead before they became canon. And it gives me a little bit of hope for Sydcarmy, and I'll explain why:

For anyone who hasn't seen TWD (and to try to make it tldr as possible) - starting in the back half of season 5, Rick and Michonne (and co.) get to this sheltered community and Rick suddenly starts to get attracted to this random woman who lives in said community (which was clearly OOC for him to do at the time). While his infatuation for this woman grew, his very close bond with Michonne (that was well established and cultivated up until this point) suddenly took a backseat in the show. They started to share way less scenes together and their relationship became a little strained (but in Richonne's case it was mostly about them not getting enough screen time together before canon). It was clear that the majority of the audience wasn't going to be invested in Rick's newfound infatuation so in order to sell it the writers strategically separated Rick and Michonne during this period, because the writers knew that Richonne was the most popular relationship among fans and had the most chemistry on the show so they couldn't show Rick and Michonne share screen time otherwise it would clearly steal the spotlight from Rick's development with this new character. So the writers chose to downplay and ignore the characters and actor's insane chemistry to entertain Rick's infatuation and make it more believable instead and to the show's ultimate detriment. Rick and this woman do eventually kiss (in a dank, dark garage at night (which kinda reminds me how a lot of Carmy and Claire's scenes are shot, but I digress)), but literally the very next day he's looking Michonne up and down (mostly to Andrew Lincoln's credit lol) and telling her that if the community gets overrun by zombies then they should ditch the community and save themselves and their main group (he didn't include said woman in the discussion either).

I know that what is happening with Sydcarmy on The Bear right now is not really encouraging for the future, there is still hope that the writers could be going the typical Hollywood route of "the main character gets into their first relationship that is ultimately doomed to fail only for the main character to then realize what he/she wanted and needed was right in front of them this whole time" Trope like how they did on TWD. I've seen it done before and I've been in these same trenches with you (and it was a really dark, sad time for Richonners as well). Of course it doesn't mean that what I've experienced in other shows will automatically be applied to this show, however there is still a chance that it could go down that same route in the end. The series is not over yet.

Pro-tip 2; buy fan content and nothing liscenced! Fan works are often better quality than the show- from drawings, to writing, to pins... it's worth the money and you aren't sending money to people openly supporting genocide and the murder of children!

Pro-tip 3; if you are going to continue taking part in fandom, like myself, do not do so in silence. Palestinians are being murdered and we can't pretend that it isn't happening simply because we have hyperfixations that we can't get rid of.

Pro-tip 4; join boycotts! Not only the monetary boycott of Netflix and Stranger Things, but- at least- the three main boycotts; McDonalds, Disney+ and Starbucks! There are many others, from Puma to Barclays to Booking.com to Pizza Hut to Burger King... None of these things are necessities and you can easily go without! Other options are probably cheaper and better quality too! It's a win-win!

Pro-tip 5; Go to protests if you can! Make your voice heard not only online but in person too! We have strength in numbers and we cannot lose the momentum we've barely started to build! Take direct action!

I've been playing slitherio these past few days, and after some time messing around with nicknames and my own experience with the stuff, I've realized anger is something very easy to weaponize. We have sources for GLAAD, GLSEN, and PFLAG (August 24, 2023), but I wanna know where the rest of this info comes from. Richarlyson told Philza the mission to purgatory to rescue Celbit and Baghera would be in a week or two, and I wondered a little why Richars picked Phil specifically for that, and seemingly only Phil of all the adults? When he does have other people about who he could asked. Like Etoiles would have been so down, he lives for that kind of adventure and he'd do anything for Pomme. So I was thinking maybe there's a plan for Philza (as leader of Bolas) to encounter purgatory lore and maybe come face to face with the watcher? Or maybe I'm overthinking it, maybe it's just that he's the only one Celbit and Baghera would trust and follow in their probably fragile state of mind? But heck knows how they'll prepare for that mission now. It's unclear how much of their stuff will survive the upheaval. I really hope Missa is there when Phil leaves for that because he's definitely not telling Chayanne and Tallulah where he's going and why because they'd never let him go alone. A lot is uncertain about the effects of the reset, but Rose's sanctuary is for sure saved. Like it makes absolutely no sense to the lore if a sanctuary protected by a demi Goddess would get destroyed by something that isn't world ending. On the other hand this is definitely going to significantly sap her strength and I wouldn't be surprised if the sanctuary were to be compromised in the not too distant future.

The part of the Zionists rhetoric I've seen online especially here on tumblr that really... not so much confuses or disturbs me because every part of supporting racism and genocide is disturbing, but the part that makes me nauseous in a very specific way, is how many of these people claim to be leftists. Not the Israeli government or the majority of Zionists obviously, they're proud racist right wingers. But here on tumblr you have people who believe in feminism and queer rights and would agree easily enough with surface level takes on how racism in America is bad. And when it comes to conservatives and red fascists they can easily tell when a right wing racist or homophobe is arguing in bad faith, they can make long posts explaining the harm behind terf rhetoric and how it differs from the actual fight for women's liberation. They can look at the Russia and Ukraine conflict and use critical thinking to call out bad actors with ease.

But then with Israel and Palestine they just... Flip. All the bad faith arguments they criticised before is now their modus operandi. They ignore the ongoing genocide and the Palestinians talking about it and focus on the oppressors, only reblogging the same one or two Palestinian voices once every now and then that say everything they want to hear and nothing more.

I think the most striking example is that "antisemitism bingo" someone made where the ongoing genocide was something to be laughed at and the blog made fun of Palestinian civilians being tortured. And yet when a blocklist went around of people who interacted with that ghoulish blog, clearly explaining why we should avoid them, (Hijt:The racism and dehumanisation of Palestinians) these "leftist zionists" immediately were like "Oh its a block list of Jewish blogs! It's only blocking us because we're Jewish!"

Like it's the most bad faith easily disproven illogical argument that every random 4chan troll can make. It's not my actions it's because I'm white! It's not my homophobic remarks it's because I'm straight!

I still struggle to understand how they're able to flip so easily from intelligent historical and societal discussions of oppression and intersectionality to denial of the Nakba, denial of the apartheid and racism that has ruled the Israeli state since its conception, denial of the Israeli terrorism and colonisation ongoing in the West Bank that Palestinians have been speaking up about for years (The save Sheikh Jarrah campaign and the murder of peaceful Palestinian activists predates October 7th by quite a bit and yet received far, far less coverage by western media) and denial of everything the government and soldiers and many citizens are currently doing to murder as many Palestinians as possible. How do you go from pointing out cult tactics to a Maga style tribalism enthusiast just because it's Palestinians being oppressed and not another group?

The only reason I can think of is that unlike say, white people or straight people, zionists DO have an understandable, real fear that they can use to promote their racist cult. Antisemitism exists worldwide and is a problem in every single country. Unlike ridiculous concepts like "white genocide" or misandry, there is grounded, factual and understandable reasons for Jewish people to want a community where they can feel safe. And anyone who truly cares about equality for all must be committed to stamping out and dismantling antisemitism in every country and neighbourhood, because Zionists sure as hell aren't. The more antisemitism exists the greater their fuel for justifying and promoting Israel as the One True answer to it all.

But the solution of Israel involved ethnic cleansing in order to built their majority Jewish state, and relies on racism and genocide to maintain it. Just like any other coloniser state, it's not sustainabile and is constantly spiralling towards fascism. (America currently contending for loudest spiral) And that is obvious to anyone who reads up on the history or just like. Talks to Palestinians for five seconds. Israel exists due to racism and dehumanisation of Palestinians, and anyone who considers that an acceptable sacrifice is blatantly morally bankrupt. But the tribalism is simply too strong for that sort of logic and understanding, and whatever reasons they may have for falling into Zionism, it's still unacceptable. If you're still on here talking about "demonising Israel and exaggerating genocide (for the woke agenda, is what they're two steps away from saying) then I have no sympathy or time for you. I actually much prefer a lot of how studio VOLN is handling Blue Exorcist over A-1, I know not a popular opinion in areas and get the places people say looks off but the vibes and heart is so good? also there is a lot of amazing shots and imo calling Rin "ugly" in it is an exaggeration to me, there's some wonky shots but there's also SO MANY he looks great! I think sometimes people forget that A-1 had equally bad shots and design choices like I think a lot are looking at the older seasons through rose colored glasses personally! not to mention they ruined a lot of scenes and how they changed them/adjusted them in their adaption that to me affected characterization and making some of the cast look almost dumb in a situation the manga version shows was more serious and dire!

ultimately my view has been: I'd rather an adaption feel like the heart is in the right place and the characters feel like themselves vs everything being pretty all the time and would rather deal with a few wonky shots of characters over a bad representation of a story and characters I love! visuals are not the only thing that matters to me ever

Crocoman has been on my mind lately and I had a realisation (what I have to admit is that my memory is shit, so the whole conundrum might be pointless, but) wet + Croco = bad times for our Sandman. So... If he slices up a man and in turn gets splashed by blood, does he just... nullifies his own power? You can smush or suffocate with sand, but Crocodile makes stabby weaponry from it too, stabby weaponry that I am reasonably sure is attached to his arm at times. Does he developed a combo of sucking the moisture off his victim right before it soaks him and makes him a sad soggy man?

He loves living right on the edge. Desk right in front of a huge glass window that is the only thing separating him from tons of water rushing in and ending his career? check (additional flex is that it'd take as little as one very motivated bonk from his bananawani to said window for that end to come). Close ranged, bloody fights that pose the very reasonable danger of getting soaked by blood? check. Our man fears nothing.

I mean from what we've seen, usually Crocodile uses his stabby-slicy attacks from a distance, while in close range it's usually either Sables to blast people off or Barján to dehydrate people, as seen here

Like Barján doesn't cut people, surely Crocodile could've used it to cut people instead if he wanted to, but no, it mummified the guards instead

So considdering our beloved Crocodile is a smart little boy, this all could be intentional, because yeah, if he did get splooshed with blood he would lose his Logia Invunerability at least until the blood would dry, and that would just be inconvenient

And that would make for a good combat tactic in general- mummify those in range, if you can't mummify them then nuke them with Sables, and if Sables only blasts them out of your range, well now you can use Desert Spada to slice 'em without getting moisturized. Like if this was a video game that'd make for a good gameplay loop

Also while it's only stated in canon he can absorb moisture with his hand, I wouldn't be surprised if Crocodile could also passively absorb moisture from his whole body (if just less efficiently). Like during Round 2 with Luffy he did get completely soaked but was able to turn back to sand soon again, so unless the Alabastan Heat was on Croc's side, surely he couldn't have dried that fast. Same for when he was covered partially in his own blood in Marineford, surely when Doflamingo decapitated him he would've actually died if his face was still wet with blood (though Oda forgot to draw the blood on that page so take that with a grain of salt lmao)

Really the only thing that doesn't seem to quite fit into his combat loop nicely is the Big Ol' Stabby Hook as you mentioned, because if anything's gonna make people bleed all over him, it's that, that's the thing (though he could just use the actual base of the hook to pummel people with and the hook is there because. It's a prosthetic.) (You know I did always wonder why Croc wanted to use the hook instead of the hidden blade because surely the blade would be more convenient for inflicting pain but, actually, yeah, the hook makes sense)

This all said, while it would be inconvenient for him I would like to see Crocodile get covered in blood more often, it looks good on him ❤️
