At 70, Cyndi Lauper Has Nothing Left to Prove
At 70, Cyndi Lauper is charging back to action with a road show and “Let the Canary Sing,” a film that tells her life story.Credit...Thea Traff for The New York Times
She’s plotting a farewell tour. She’s starring in a documentary about her life. And she could only ever be herself.
By Amanda Hess June 4, 2024
One Friday afternoon in May, Cyndi Lauper stepped out of her Upper West Side apartment building and into the streets of New York City. She wore glitter-encrusted glasses, sneakers with rainbow soles and a stack of beaded bracelets on each arm. A rice-paper parasol swung in her hand. As she walked, she examined the crowds and remarked when glints of interest caught her eye.
“Of course, up here it’s fashion hell,” she allowed of her tony neighborhood. And yet, every few blocks she rubbernecked at another woman’s look, her famous New Yawk accent lifting and tumbling in pleasure at what she saw:
“Look at these dames, how cute are they?”
“Did you love those pants? I kind of loved those pants.”
“Look at this lady,” she said, stepping off the curb and clocking a passerby. The woman moved nimbly, tomato-red streak in her silver hair, body draped in shades of fuchsia and cherry as she pushed the gleaming metal frame of a walker. “Fabulous,” Lauper exclaimed. “Come on!”
At 70, the pop icon and social justice activist isn’t just charging back into the streets. On Monday, Lauper announced her final tour, the Girls Just Wanna Have Fun Farewell Tour, which will have her headlining arenas across North America from late October to early December. And “Let the Canary Sing,” a documentary about her life and career that premiered at the Tribeca Festival last year, is streaming on Paramount+.
Lauper has not staged a major tour — “a proper tour, that’s mine” — in over a decade. But now her window of opportunity is closing, so she’s leaping through it. “I don’t think I can perform the way I want to in a couple of years,” she said. “I want to be strong.”

And until recently, when she finally agreed to sit for the director Alison Ellwood, she could not envision committing her life story to film. “I wasn’t going to do a documentary because I’m not dead,” she said. More to the point, she did not feel particularly misunderstood. From the moment she danced across the city in the 1983 video for “Girls Just Want to Have Fun,” she felt that she had articulated precisely what she wanted to say.
“Everything I wanted them to understand was in that video,” she said of her fans. She has a lot of people who get her: The clip has been viewed on YouTube more than one billion times. Forty years later, she holds it up as a thesis, the key to decoding her artistic perspective and understanding everything that followed. After all, “You never have to wonder where a New Yorker stands,” she said. “They’ll tell you, straight up.”
CYNDI LAUPER, BORN in Brooklyn, raised in Queens, bopped around the house to the Beatles’ songs, her older sister, Elen, singing McCartney’s parts and Lauper taking Lennon’s. It was her earliest lesson in harmony and song structure. But when she left home at 17, it was with a copy of Yoko Ono’s feminist conceptual art book “Grapefruit” in her hands.
Ono taught her that “you can create art in your head, and then you can view things differently,” Lauper told me. This attitude served her well as she tried (and often failed) to work as a painter, a shoe saleswoman, a racetrack hot walker, an IHOP waitress, a gal Friday at Simon & Schuster and the singer in a cover band.
Singing other people’s music in Long Island clubs and dive bars, Lauper struggled to find her place. She tried to channel Janis Joplin, but “I was stuck inside her body, and she didn’t like it, and I didn’t like it,” she said. She tried to sound like Gene Pitney, and “it came out sounding like Ethel Merman.” After a while, “You start to feel that you’re just not good enough.”

But really, she was just no good at being anyone other than Cyndi Lauper. When she started writing and arranging songs for herself, “I told the stories that I knew about the women that I knew,” she said. “About my mom, my aunt, my grandmother.” They guided her back to the rhythms of her own life, even if, in the beginning, few were interested in listening. “My first concert was to 14 people,” she said, “and I did the encore, OK?”
The documentary’s title is a line ripped from a real-life courtroom drama: Early on, Lauper’s career got entangled in the ambitions of an ex-manager, who sued her to retain control of her music. She sank into bankruptcy trying to escape him. When the judge sided with Lauper, he banged the gavel and said: “Let the canary sing.”
Once freed, Lauper connected with Robert Hazard, who had written a track called “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.” He’d arranged it as a rock song from a man’s perspective — the girls were the ones he imagined sleeping with — and Lauper had some edits. She recast it as a gleeful public announcement, calling out a sexist double standard (“Oh mama dear, we’re not the fortunate ones”) while claiming liberation from the workplace, the home and the patriarchy. And she rearranged the notes, pitching her voice so high that it could not be ignored. “I sang that high because I was trumpeting an idea,” she said.
And then there was the video. “That video was what you call ‘inclusive’ nowadays, and that was the most important thing,” Lauper said. In addition to the Italian American pro wrestler Lou Albano, Lauper featured her mother, her lawyer, her manager, a crop of record-company secretaries, and a racially diverse group of singers and dancers. “I was sick of the segregation” of the music industry, she said. “It’s people together that create a style.”
“Everything I wanted them to understand was in that video,” Lauper said of the clip for “Girls Just Want to Have Fun.”
MTV was still in its infancy in 1983, and it was fortuitous that Lauper’s debut album, “She’s So Unusual,” came out just as the network was ascending. She saw her public image as a visual art form. Her makeup artist was a painter, and her stylist was a vintage buyer.
“People sometimes get the wrong idea that it was very thrown together,” Laura Wills, the founder of the vintage shop Screaming Mimi’s, said of the singer’s style. “People just didn’t look like that.” In the early ’80s, Lauper worked for Wills, often bartering her labor for clothes. When her career took off, Wills started styling her, and the pair often constructed Lauper’s outfits as if sliding chips across a poker table, as in, “I’ll see your polka-dot socks and striped capris, and I’ll raise you a plaid top,” Wills said. “I’ll see your polka-dot socks, striped capris and plaid top, and I’ll raise you a paisley hat.”
Lauper seemed to shoot to fame as a fully formed feminist icon. She refused to tell interviewers her age (“I’m not a car,” she said), and she insisted that they recognize the politics behind her aesthetic choices. “I wore the corset to undo the power of the binding of women,” she told the press. She graced the cover of Ms. Magazine and recorded the 1986 song “True Colors,” which resonated with her in the wake of a friend’s death from AIDS.
“I know that I probably lost business because I talked about AIDS a lot,” she said, but figured “I ought to stand up like any good Italian and stick up for my family, you know?” In 2008, she founded True Colors United to help combat homelessness among L.G.B.T.Q. youth. And in 2022, she created the Girls Just Want to Have Fundamental Rights fund to support abortion access and other reproductive justice movements.
In 1985, Lauper won the best new artist Grammy after the release of “She’s So Unusual.” The album — and songs like “Time After Time” and “All Through the Night” — broke records. But something odd was happening. She looked around and saw versions of herself everywhere. “When I first became famous, I felt like the whole world just kind of went” — here Lauper made a sharp slurping noise — “and sucked everything up. The jewelry, the color, the corsets on the outside, the whole thing. And then used it. Spit it out. Next!”
“I don’t think I can perform the way I want to in a couple of years,” Lauper said. “I want to be strong.”Credit...Thea Traff for The New York Times
Lauper was accused of being a manufactured package. “No, it was me. That’s how I dressed. That’s how I looked. That was my community,” she said. “I have a brain.”
When Lauper got a call that a movie studio was adapting her big hit into a movie, she balked at its fluffy premise. “I guess it was about a couple of girls … trying to have fun,” she said. (Sarah Jessica Parker and Helen Hunt starred.) Lauper refused permission to use her song, so it featured Hazard’s version with other vocalists instead. “For me, it sucked,” she said. “You took my style. And it had nothing to do with me at all.”
In the ’80s, Lauper was compared so closely to other female musicians that it was implied there was not space for all of them. She was pitted against other women — mainly Madonna, who released her debut album the same year. On chat shows and in schoolyards (and even on the charity single “We Are the World”), celebrities and fans were asked to choose one. “It was like apples and oranges,” Lauper told me. Or as she put it in Newsweek in 1985: “She’s just doing her thing. My thing happens to be different.” It was a shame, Lauper said: “I would have liked to have a friend.”
Though she fought her battles mainly alone, Lauper has inspired generations of women. Among her acolytes are Nicki Minaj, who in April brought her onstage in Brooklyn to duet on the song that samples her, “Pink Friday Girls.” When an interviewer asked the 26-year-old singer-songwriter Chappell Roan, “How does it feel to be called the Gen-Z Cyndi Lauper?” she replied, “I think Cyndi Lauper is the Gen-Z Cyndi Lauper.”
Lauper made 11 more albums after her debut — among them a blues record, a country record and a dance record. In the early 2000s, she walked over to Broadway, starring in “The Threepenny Opera” and writing the music and lyrics to the musical “Kinky Boots” after Harvey Fierstein, who wrote the book, tapped her for the gig. “There’s a small group of people I consider my children; she’s one of my daughters,” the actor and writer, who turns 72 this week, said. Fierstein told me that he had suspected Lauper’s talents were underused in rock, and he wanted to see what it was like for her to write a song that she would never sing herself.

“My favorite was a recording she made on her phone, in the beauty parlor, with her head in the dryer,” he said. (Lauper was often multitasking.) Her autoharp competed with the salon noise. “It’s really hard to sell a $10 million production on a recording of an autoharp song with a dryer background,” he said. “But that’s what we did.” Lauper won the Tony for best score, the first woman to win alone.
In an industry that requires the rapacious pursuit of the new and the cynical extraction of identity, Lauper was never willing to abandon herself. She had forged the revolutionary style, sang the totemic song. She inspired millions, billions, of fans to be themselves. Why should she have to change who she was?
AS LAUPER AND I traversed the Upper West Side, we ducked into an exhibition about the abstract artist Sonia Delaunay, passed the original Screaming Mimi’s location (now a dry cleaners), and wound back to her apartment, where she invited me up.
Past the doorman, past a cheetah-print doormat and a cheetah-print curtain, two little pugs named Lulu and Ping awaited Lauper’s return. She disappeared to arrange a plate of ginger cookies, the same kind Jackson Browne always sent her on Christmas, while her husband, the actor David Thornton, told me about their meet-cute on the set of the 1991 film “Off and Running.” She played a fake mermaid, he played a murderer. Off the set, he was struck instantly by her winning sense of humor.
“She’s the Rodney Dangerfield of rock ’n’ roll,” he said. As in, she is so funny that she does not always receive the respect she deserves. “I don’t think anybody has any idea how hard she works,” he said.
Though Lauper was accused of being a manufactured package, she was the real deal. “That’s how I dressed. That’s how I looked. That was my community,” she said. “I have a brain.”Credit...Thea Traff for The New York Times
To prepare for the tour, she blasts the stereo in her apartment and dances and sings, vexing the pugs. She works with a vocal coach four days a week. And she trains like it’s a sport. Her weekly exercise routine includes physical therapy, weights, stretching, physical therapy, weights, yoga, more weights, yoga, aerobics, physical therapy, weights again. She’s been chomping on enormous salads that make her feel like a horse.
“But when you’re a singer, you have to be an athlete,” she said. “You can’t [expletive] around. When you’re 20, yeah. But when you get older? No.”
As the tour approaches, she’s been daydreaming about “all the crazy stuff I tried that didn’t work” in the long arc of her career. The butterfly-winged black dress that she was meant to reveal as she stepped out of a cocoon. The bit where she was supposed to change behind a backlit screen like an old cartoon character. A kind of mechanical skirt that resembled a globe, slowly spinning her around as she sang.
She’s not exactly sure what she’ll pull off this time. Whatever changes, one thing remains the same: “Who the hell I am is who the hell I am.”

GalaxyCon Raleigh
Last weekend I was lucky enough to attend days 2-4 of GalaxyCon Raleigh, and meet Harvey in person! I'll write more about that on my personal blog, but here I want to write up Harvey's outfits for the weekend, for three reasons:
I love his con style and how he's always wearing clothes that seem comfy but are also stylish.
I finally found the source for one of his fabulous shirts and I'm excited!
I may have contributed an accessory to his outfit on Saturday (I'm fine I'm totally normal about this).
Without further ado, let's start with Saturday!
Saturday
Harvey arrived at the autograph tables on Saturday sporting a red stadium jersey, much like this one from EPTM USA.
This boxy-fit jersey is a heavyweight polyester mesh and has loose, short sleeves and a crew neck. It comes in sizes up to 2XL (60-inch chest measurement) and is regularly priced at $40 (currently on sale for $30).
He styled this with a black tank-top underneath the jersey, his black overalls, black sneakers, an LA Dodgers cap worn backwards, and a silver aluminum tab choker necklace with a heart pendant. Harvey explained that the necklace was made of recycled materials, and was a handmade gift from a friend.
The Dodgers cap appears to be part of the New Era 59Fifty fitted field series. The 59Fifty website describes the brand as "the originator of the true fitted New Era's flagship style and an icon in sport and street culture. It is worn on the field of play by athletes worldwide." You can find similar caps on the 59Fifty site, in prices ranging from $41 to $99, or this specific cap is available from several sellers on eBay.
The sneakers really intrigue me, because they're another example of the specificity of Harvey's accessories. The sneakers are black lace-up high tops with an oversized tongue, black soles, and a side snap buckled strap at the ankle. I have been able to find sneakers with three or four of those traits. I have yet to find an exact match to all of them, but I plan to keep looking! I may do a separate post on Harvey's casual footwear, actually.
Lastly, if you saw Harvey early at autographs, you might have noticed a new addition to his outfit later in the day: a stack of iridescent blue-black beaded bracelets with silver letters. These are friendship bracelets I made and brought to the autograph table, and I was extremely touched that Harvey not only put them on immediately there at the table, but wore them for the rest of the day and even posted them on his Instagram stories a couple of days later.
The silver letters on each bracelet spell out one of the names of Harvey's character from Blue Beetle: José Francisco Morales Rivera De La Cruz. The name on each bracelet is bracketed by cylindrical mood beads which change color with body temperature. Harvey revealed in his Instagram story that he added the De La Cruz onto the end of the scene, and director Angel Manuel Soto chose to keep it in. Harvey shares many fans' headcanon that Guillermo and the Doctor are related!
Sunday
On Sunday Harvey arrived to photo ops wearing a brightly-colored floral shirt that, if you follow his social media, you may have seen a few times before!
This Camicia comoda con stampa a fiori vivace (Comfortable Shirt with lively flower print) is a lightweight 100% viscose button-up from ASOS DESIGN Italy. It comes in sizes up to 4XL (54-56-inch chest), and is currently on sale for 21.24€ (originally retailed for 24.99€).
Harvey styled this with black shorts, black platform lace-up ankle boots, and his Heart of the Ocean replica necklace (a Titanic reference that might set your head spinning if you've ordered the @wwcitszine Volume 4--and if you haven't, you should!). He was also sporting another colorful stack of friendship bracelets, though I unfortunately don't know the details on those!
Heart of the Ocean replicas can be found many places online. I'm partial to these Etsy offerings, all under $50:
Titanic Necklace from BruarCards, $26.79
Heart of the Ocean Prop Replica from ReelArtTreasures, $39.99
I've talked shorts before, but I'm partial to these Old Navy Slim Built-In Flex Rotation Chino Shorts in color Black Jack. They have an 8-inch inseam and are available in up to size 54W. Currently on sale for $13.49!
I'm still looking for the boots. Look for that footwear post coming (hopefully) soon!

Embrace Confidence with Sexy Red Jumpsuits
When it comes to making a bold fashion statement, few garments can rival the allure of a sexy red jumpsuit. This striking piece seamlessly blends elegance and sensuality, offering a versatile option for various occasions. Whether you're gearing up for a night out, a special event, or simply want to elevate your everyday wardrobe, a red jumpsuit is a choice that commands attention. This blog delves into the captivating world of sexy red jumpsuits, exploring their unique charm, styling tips, and the impact they can have on your confidence.
The Allure of Red
Red is a color that has always been associated with power, passion, and confidence. It exudes a vibrant energy that can turn heads and capture the essence of boldness. When incorporated into a jumpsuit, red amplifies these qualities, making it an irresistible choice for those looking to make a memorable impression. The intensity of red can be both empowering and captivating, ensuring that you stand out from the crowd with ease.
Choosing the Perfect Fit
Finding a red jumpsuit that complements your body type is key to achieving a sexy and flattering look. Opt for a design that highlights your best features while providing comfort and confidence. For a streamlined appearance, consider a jumpsuit with a tailored waist and fitted bodice. If you prefer a more relaxed fit, choose a style with draped fabrics or wide-leg pants. Regardless of the cut, ensure that the jumpsuit enhances your silhouette and makes you feel fabulous.
Styling Your Red Jumpsuit
The beauty of a red jumpsuit lies in its versatility. Depending on the occasion, you can style it in various ways to suit your needs. For a sophisticated evening look, pair the jumpsuit with strappy heels and statement jewelry. Opt for a sleek hairstyle and bold makeup to complete the ensemble. For a more casual yet chic appearance, accessorize with sneakers or ankle boots and keep your accessories minimal. Experimenting with different styles allows you to adapt the jumpsuit to any event or mood.
Accessorizing with Confidence
Accessories play a crucial role in elevating the overall look of a jumpsuit. When wearing a red jumpsuit, it's essential to strike the right balance between bold and understated. Gold or silver jewelry can add a touch of elegance without overpowering the vibrant color. A stylish belt can accentuate your waist and add definition to the jumpsuit's shape. Additionally, choose accessories that reflect your personal style while enhancing the jumpsuit's allure.
Embracing Different Occasions
A sexy red jumpsuit is not limited to one type of event. Its versatility allows it to shine in various settings. For a cocktail party, select a jumpsuit with intricate details or a plunging neckline to exude glamour. For a formal gathering, opt for a classic cut with sophisticated accessories. Even in more casual environments, a red jumpsuit can be dressed down with the right footwear and minimal accessories, making it a valuable addition to your wardrobe.
The Confidence Boost
One of the most remarkable aspects of wearing a sexy red jumpsuit is the confidence it brings. The color red has a psychological effect that can make you feel more assertive and self-assured. When you look great, you naturally feel great, and this positive energy is often reflected in how you carry yourself. Wearing a jumpsuit that makes you feel empowered can significantly enhance your self-esteem and presence, allowing you to shine in any setting.
Caring for Your Red Jumpsuit
youtube
To ensure your sexy red jumpsuit remains in pristine condition, proper care is essential. Always check the care label for specific instructions, as different fabrics may require different handling. Generally, it’s advisable to wash the jumpsuit in cold water and avoid harsh detergents to preserve the vibrant color. When storing, keep it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight to prevent fading. With the right care, your red jumpsuit will continue to make a statement for years to come.
In conclusion, a sexy red jumpsuit is a powerful fashion choice that combines elegance with boldness. Its versatility allows it to adapt to various occasions, making it a valuable addition to any wardrobe. By choosing the right fit, styling it thoughtfully, and accessorizing with confidence, you can embrace the full potential of this striking garment. The confidence boost that comes from wearing a red jumpsuit is undeniable, making it a go-to piece for anyone looking to make a memorable impression.

Must Have Accessories For Womens Clothing
A dress can be one of the most attractive items of clothing on a woman. But what brings the appeal to this type of womens clothing is the accessories. Accessories play a very important role in whatever outfit you choose to wear. It could mean the difference between looking gaudy, drab, or fabulous. It is important to know what key accessories should be worn to make an outfit look attractive. You will learn the balance of what and how many accessories to coordinate with your womens clothing outfits. Then you will be able to organize your wardrobe and put your outfits together with ease.
Having a purse to go along with your Womens clothing is important. Whether you are wearing formal or casual womens clothing your purse should make a fashion statement. A purse is one of the more useful accessories you can match with your outfits because it is used to carry the belongings you need on hand. Whether you're travelling abroad or going for a night out on the town it makes carrying your cell phone, makeup and other women swimsuits personal belongings a much easier process. Purses are available in a variety of interesting styles and sizes. Some purses are so small that they can only fit your car keys and maybe a cellphone. Others can be large enough to fit a small person inside! It is necessary to find the purse that matches your taste in womens clothing and the right size for your needs. Bigger purses make a taller woman look proportionate while a smaller person can look the opposite. It is important to select the right sized purse for your physical build.
Chains are one of the more versatile accessories you can match up with your womens clothing. Adding a chain to the simplest of outfits can make it look it special and unique. Chains can be worn around the waist as a belt, hanging around the neck as a necklace and wrapped around the wrist like a bracelet. It all depends on what style suits your look. Chains can be made of silver, gold, brass or beads. Most women have a variety of chains suitable for each of their outfits. Silver and gold chains are generally used to accessorize formal clothing whereas brass and beads are used on casual clothing. Make sure not to wear too many chains at once. It is also imperative that you do not wear too many different colored chains at the same time or it can look very tacky.
Footwear is one of those accessories that you cant possibly step out of the house without! Avoid committing a fashion faux pas by wearing incorrect footwear with your clothing. Each piece of womens clothing should be worn with only certain types of shoes. Casual womens clothing can generally be worn with sandals, flip flops, ballerina slippers, and sneakers. You should stick to wearing dress shoes with your formal clothing. Fancier styles of heeled shoes can be worn with your formal womens clothing. If you are not sure whether your outfit is coordinated with the correct shoes try and get a friend to give you their opinion before stepping out of the house.
There are many more accessories you can coordinate with your Womens clothing besides the ones mentioned above. Depending on your style and look you can accessorize your clothing with a range of jewellery and makeup. Reading through fashion magazines and browsing through online womens clothing websites will give you an idea of the latest accessory trends and styles to match.

modern au xiao x gn!reader┊fluff: dating life hcs
ingredients: you are dating modern au xiao, what is it like?
calories: xiao + gender neutral reader
serving size: modern/highschool au・fluff・748 words
let's start with his hands & clothing: xiao has white bandages around some of his fingers and a few silver rings, maybe 2 or 3 of them? he really likes it when you play with his rings while holding his hand (although it distracts him easily cause physical touch with you makes him blush madly)
might have a chain bracelet but if not, matching bracelets with you! it took a little bit of convincing to get matching items but in the end, he just couldn't say no to you. it would probably be yin and yang type of matching jewelry
i imagine him having a silver watch as well, not those expensive ones but just to quickly glance at for the time while he skateboards! xiao used to use his phone while skateboarding but after you talked about how dangerous it was and how you didn't want him to get hurt he stopped
owns a few bucket hats, he kinda gives off a "dark aura" and would wear full black (t-shirt and sweatpants or a hoodie) he dresses like that because he doesn't want anyone to bother/interact with him, well except for you of course!
his sneakers would probably be white or black as well, he also has silver chains around his belt loops (i think you can tell is type of colors/theme is black and silver)
owns and rides a motorcycle! its xiao's and also your way of transport to school, home, and etc. you sit behind him and xiao gets very flustered by your arms around his waist when he drives.
however, you guys walk as well! for example, 3 AM convenience store runs and walking to the park. bonus: you and xiao like to play tag on the kids playground and climb trees hehe
moving on! xiao loves it when you sit on his kitchen counter and talk to him while he cooks. he's not much of a talker but for you, he has many good things to say
speaking of talking: on the way home from school, he will talk to you about some random drama happening in your grade. honestly he finds it very cute on how you keep gasping and asking how he got the information in the first place (it's actually from his friend venti LMAO)
games a lot! xiao is pretty good at fps (first person shooter) but he also plays other stuff like animal crossing! he would introduce to you some games and try out some of the games you play as well :) sometimes even codes his own games!
definitely would share playlists on spotify (or whatever music platform you use) with you! xiao would listen to the songs you like and add it to his own playlists
has a tattoo, it's on his right arm/shoulder area! for the design, i think it would be a black rose/roses or a little quote ^_^
always pulls you close to him when you guys are walking on the sidewalk by the road, he's very paranoid of the cars driving by
oh? did i forget to mention FINGERLESS GLOVES?? xiao wears them when he's driving his motorcycle and it looks fabulous on him (honestly he should wear them always)
somehow he is just good at every sport... i could visualize him playing things like volleyball (hence the bandages on his fingers), tennis, badminton, maybe basketball?? either way, he isn't in any of the sport clubs at school, he just plays it with his friends and you!
xiao buys food for you all the time. no matter how much you protest and offer to pay, he does it anyways! once, you snuck into his house through a window and cooked him breakfast. when he woke up to you cooking his favorite food his cheeks were flushed red and he had to try so hard to avoid your gaze
lends you his hoodies and shirts and in return you get him new types of rings! to be honest the majority of his closet are full of clothes you bought for him cause this man always forgets to buy things for himself
xiao gives you neck and hand kisses on the daily! it's a way to say thank you for being there for him and for staying by him <33
video calls and so many texts. xiao will literally facetime you for hours or just to say good morning and good night! just seeing your face brightens up his whole day :D
please let me know if you would like me to do this with other genshin characters, i had so much fun writing this :)

Step-Father's Sins by Unknown
Chapter 3
Melinda Madison — more commonly known as Mindy — was the oldest of the girls, and was growing up to look just like her mother.
Her breasts were large and her hair was long and black. Her eyes were large and had the same playful twinkle in them.
Melinda had a reputation with the boys of Rushdale as a good sport. She had not been a virgin in some time.
Melinda always thought that the stuff she heard about staying chaste until she found Mr. Right was pure bullshit.
She knew that her desires were just as strong as the guys, and she saw no reason why everyone couldn't have a good time.
In order to tease boys, she would have to tease herself as well, and that always seemed stupid to Mindy.
She was seeing a number of guys that spring, but her favorite date was a boy named MacIntyre Symms.
She was out with MacIntyre that night and she knew that she was going to get some steamy sex in before the evening was through.
MacIntyre was the quarterback on the Rushdale High School football team and the pitcher on the baseball team.
Along with being the school's sports hero, Mindy thought that he was the handsomest boy in the whole town.
She had taken some teasing about moving to Caledonia, since the two schools had always been bitter rivals.
MacIntyre had picked up Mindy in his green Pinto hatchback earlier, and they had gone straight to the local lover's lane to park.
The spot was called — appropriately enough — Sex Hill.
The hill was so high that one could see the lights from Rochester on the horizon to the north.
MacIntyre was tall, blonde and had deep blue eyes that made Mindy's insides feel as if they were turning to ginger-ale.
"It's warm night," MacIntyre said.
"Do you have a blanket?"
"Uh huh."
"Good, let's fuck outside under the stars."
MacIntyre loved the idea and got out of the car.
The AM radio was blasting out rock and roll music.
MacIntyre and Melinda had been out a number of times before so he wasn't worried about whether or not he would score.
Melinda wanted all the guys to know that she was "easy."
She had heard that boys didn't like to go out with girls who got around, but her experience had shown the exact opposite to be true.
Ever since she had started being an active sexual animal she had found that her popularity had increased a lot.
She knew that MacIntyre Symms — for example — never went out with a girl unless he was sure of getting his rocks off.
Melinda was smart enough to know that teenage boys were a horny lot and they quickly wearied of prick teases who gave them blue balls and made them walk home with a limp.
MacIntyre went to the back of his car and pulled out a blanket so he could spread it out in the grass next to the car on the plateau atop Sex Hill.
Melinda thought that the spring when it was starting to get warm was the best time to fuck beneath the stars.
She knew that once the summer came and the nights got hot, the bugs would make it uncomfortable to be outside.
"Why don't you take off your clothes," MacIntyre said. "I'm dying to see those fabulous tits of yours."
Melinda could feel a blush of pride make her face turn hot as the blonde jock complimented her large firm breasts.
"I'll get naked if you will," Melinda said, tilting her head a little to one side, almond-shaped dark brown eyes twinkling with her naughty urges.
She cocked her hips to one side, feeling her nipples pressing against the front of her blouse.
She never wore a bra, her tits lifting a separating more than adequately on their own, so one could always tell when her silver-dollar sized nipples were growing into erections from her hominess.
Like her mother's, Melinda's nipples pointed slightly upward, and grew to twice their normal size when she was feeling sexually excited.
"It's a deal," MacIntyre said.
She untucked her blouse and began to unbutton from the top.
MacIntyre licked his lips with the tip of his tongue to moisten them as he waited to see those fantastic tits in the blue moonlight.
Melinda could feel an ache growing in her pussy and she had a great desire to touch herself between the legs.
She finished unbuttoning her blouse and pulled it open so the handsome blonde teenage boy could see them.
They both thought that it was a perfect night for fucking.
Sex Hill was a very beautiful place — perfect for passion.
On this night there wasn't a cloud in the sky.
The moon was full and shone bright upon the young lovers.
MacIntyre could already feel his balls swelling and aching as if filled with impatient insects.
His scrotal sack felt filled to the brim with come.
"I feel like I've got a hair-trigger tonight," MacIntyre said.
He pulled his Tee-shirt up over his head and threw it onto the hood of the green Pinto hatchback.
"Why don't I give you a blow job first so you will be able to keep it up longer when you fuck me," Melinda suggested.
MacIntyre thought that he was going to cream right in his jeans when he heard the little black haired girl say those words.
He wondered why all of the girls in the world couldn't understand boys as well as Melinda. Girls like her were sadly few and far between. She loved to give pleasure as much as she loved to receive it.
Melinda didn't believe in playing cat and mouse games with her body like most of the teenage girls in Rushdale, and that was just fine with MacIntyre.
He knew that her attitude toward sex was a sign of maturity.
He was glad that he was with her that night. He couldn't think of any other girl he would have rather fucked.
"Sounds great!" MacIntyre exclaimed enthusiastically.
"I thought you would like that idea," Melinda said, reaching down to unbutton the top of her jeans as she kicked off her shoes.
Melinda's fingernails were long like her mother's, but she never wore polish on them — a matter of taste.
MacIntyre reached down to pull off his sneakers.
His cock was fully engorged inside the crotch of his pants.
He shivered as he thought of the girl putting her hot mouth on his prick.
Melinda did not feel like a martyr or anything like that when she sucked a guy's cock until he came.
She liked to suck dick. She liked the way a prick felt on her mouth, and had even learned to take a prick in her throat.
She always swallowed a guy's come rather than spit it out, not only because she knew it felt better for the guy but because she simply loved the flavor of a guy's fuck cream as it pumped down her gullet toward her belly.
Melinda could feel her pussy swelling and getting wet.
She knew that her pussy would be more than ready for his prick when it came time for her to violate her fuck hole. She could feel her clitoris swelling and pushing out from under its pink fleshy sheath, quivering at the tip of her slit.
She pulled off her pants and stood on the blanket, clutching at the cloth with her wiggling toes.
The boy pulled off his own pants and his cock came springing out from his loins, sticking way out in front of him at attention.
"Your cock looks delicious," Melinda said sweetly.
She puckered her lips and drew in cool air — producing a low whistling noise of feminine appreciation.
"Taste it," MacIntyre said, moving to the blanket.
He was a foot taller than her making her look even tinier.
Melinda dropped to her knees in front of him so that her face was at crotch. level.
The entire length of his healthy young cock was bobbing up and down and he put his hands on his hips.
He moved his feet a little. more than shoulder width apart on the blanket and bent at the knees so he was standing with his hips out in front of the rest of his body, throwing back his shoulders, tilting his chin upward and arching his back sharply. The little girl placed her fingertips on the base of his scrotal sack and lifted his heavy balls.
He moaned and shuddered at the intimate contact as the little girl began to kiss lightly at the insides of his muscular thighs.
Melinda's hands were tiny so that she could not clutch his entire scrotum at the same time no matter how far apart she spread her fingers.
She started down by his knees and kissed her way upward, getting ever closer to his swollen testicles.
She parted her full sensuous lips and allowed the tip of her tongue to protrude so she could lick the wrinkled sack.
MacIntyre's pubic hair was just as light as the hair on his head, which made the darkness of his engorged prick more apparent.
She placed the tip of her tongue on the wrinkled sack and began to flick it back and forth rapidly.
She made her tiny licks as gentle as she could, knowing that his hypersensitivity was greatly amplifying the sensations she caused.
The muscles in his thick thighs tensed and he bent a little more at the knees as she lapped happily at his balls.
She got her tongue under the sack so she could lick at the patch of skin between his balls and his asshole.
"Oh yeah, baby. Feels so good," MacIntyre said, closing his eyes and throwing back his head so that he was facing the cloudless night sky.
She switched to the flat part of her tongue and licked at the dangling wrinkled sack until it was wet and shiny from her spilled spittle.
She bobbed his balls up and down on her fingertips with her palm turned upward toward the full moon.
She looked as if she were trying to determine how much his glands of manhood weighed as she did this.
Melinda could see that there were little short and curly blonde hairs growing directly out of the sack.
She got one of those hairs between the thumb and forefinger on her right hand and gave it a gentle tug.
"Suck my balls, Mindy, God, it's not going to take much to make me come. I swear!" MacIntyre screamed.
She opened her mouth far.
She relaxed her lips and made her mouth cottony.
She knew she would have to be careful while sucking his balls.
She knew how easily she could hurt the boy if she sucked too hard.
She got his right testicle between her lips and sucked slowly and steadily, drawing in her cheeks.
She kept her tongue busy and flicked the tip across the nut even as she sucked on it, and the boy let out several deep moans of pleasure.
She repeated the process with the other ball and she could tell by the way he was breathing and fussing that he needed some attention on his prick.
The little teenage black haired girl could feel her cunt juice spilling out of her twat as she placed her fingertips on the underside of his cock and pushed it upward until the tip was pinned against his belly several inches above his navel.
There were veins running thick and blue along the underside of his rod, all the way from the base to the glans.
She loved the way his cock throbbed against her fingertips as she massaged his cock up and down gingerly.
The little girl stopped sucking his nuts and placed her tongue tip at the base of his dong on the underside.
She flicked the tip back and forth — fast and light as before — and straightened her back as her mouth worked upward toward the purple tip.
"God, you do this good. Where did you get that mouth?" MacIntyre said, his voice a little shaky from his passion.
She knew that MacIntyre's cock was a lot thicker than most guy's cocks, and she would have to open her mouth as far as she could get it in order to fit the purple head between her stretched lips.
She used the flat part of her tongue to lick his cock shaft as if it were an all-day sucker, and the boy was trembling furiously, begging for her throat with the little whimpering noises he was making.
She allowed his cock head to come away from his belly so she could roll her tongue lazily over it.
She could see in the blue moonlight that the piss hole at the tip of his prick was opening and closing like a tiny mouth.
Melinda used the very tip of her tongue, which the concentrated on keeping as pointy as possible, to playfully lick at the piss hole.
"SUCK ME!" MacIntyre called out.
He was desperate.
He was begging.
He needed to come so bad he could taste it.
He placed his hands on top of her head as she lowered his cock head to her hungry hot mouth.
Melinda concentrated on relaxing the muscles in her jaw.
She opened her mouth as far as she could, so that the corners of her lips were pulled taut.
She felt like she was saying, "AHHH!" while sitting in the dentist's chair.
She plunged forward with her head, moving her right hand to the base of his pole where she gripped his snugly.
She squeezed his cock rhythmically to simulate his natural throbbing.
The boy was making loud whimpering noises. He could tell that she would only have to suck him for a matter of seconds before he would blow his top.
She thrust forward with her head, feeling MacIntyre's strong fingers move to the base of her skull.
His cock was so thick that her fingers barely made it all the way around.
She moved her left hand to his wet balls and clutched him there securely.
She wrapped her lips around the ring of scar tissue at the tip of his cock and began to suck noisily.
She was going to suck his come right out of his balls as her smooth dark cheeks hollowed from the vacuum she created inside her oral cavity.
She used the tip of her tongue to lick at the tip as she concentrated on relaxing the muscles in her throat.
She wanted him to stick the entire length of his phallus into her mouth and thus deep into her throat.
She knew that it would end up being more like him fucking her face than her giving him a blow job.
But that was okay. Melinda had known for a long time that she was the kind of girl who liked to get fucked in all three of her sex holes.
Although Melinda did not know it, she was one of the few high school girls in the area who liked to get fucked in the asshole, a fact which did a great deal to help her popularity with the local boys.
Melinda offered variety as well as satisfaction to the boys she dated.
MacIntyre pressed forward with his hips, tensing the muscles in his ass cheeks, holding her firmly at the back of her head.
When Melinda first began offering her throat to boys it hurt like hell and made her gag and cry.
But she had learned to use her throat muscles to give pleasure, and had learned to force her own pain into the back of her mind so that she hardly noticed it.
The boy could feel the little girl's stretched open lips pushing toward the base of his large cock.
At the same time he was pressing the tip of his cock deeper into her throat where the muscles squeezed and tugged him.
She used her tongue to caress him as much as she could considering it was pressed against the bottom of her mouth by the girth of his rod.
The little girl took the whole prick inside her mouth and made a muffled grunting noise as MacIntyre began to fuck in and out.
Her eyes watered a little, but not enough for the tears to fall down onto her smooth dark cheeks.
She moved her knees back on the blanket so the could straighten her throat and make the face fuck more comfortable for both of them.
The boy eased his prick in and out about - five times when all of his muscles tensed and Melinda knew she was about to be fed a hot meal.
She jerked back with her head so that only the tip of his prick was inside her mouth at the point of orgasm.
She made a fist around the base of his prick and pumped up and down on the rod to enhance the intensity of his climax.
She continued to squeeze his balls and all of a sudden her mouth was filled with his steamy cream.
She puffed out her dark cheeks and began to swallow as hard as she could in a vain attempt to keep all of the juice inside her mouth.
But the initial blast of man come was enormous and she could feel the goo oozing from the corners of her mouth.
The thick white semen rolled down onto her chin to cool and some dripped off and fell onto the wrist that clutched his balls.
She loved the taste of come. It was refreshing. It was salty and fishy and a little bitter. It reminded her of the beach when the tide was out.
She could feel the thick fuck creaming rolling down her hot throat with the texture of raw egg whites.
She could feel a warm spot forming in the pit of her stomach where MacIntyre's come was gathering in a ball of contentment.
"SUCK IT DOWN! DRINK MY COME!"
MacIntyre screamed just before he howled at the full moon as if he were about to sprout hair all over his body and turn into a werewolf.
Melinda had read that a guy's come was almost one-hundred percent protein and was actually very good for little girls like herself-to drink.
She knew that there were a lot of girls who refused to drink down come because they thought it was disgusting.
Some didn't like the taste and some thought it was humiliating and degrading to be fed by a boy in that manner.
Melinda couldn't help but think those girls were fools.
She could feel herself getting healthier as she sucked down his load.
After the initial blast of spunk, the come was not as plentiful, and Melinda had no trouble keeping it all inside her mouth.
She sucked his cock head, squeezed his balls, and pumped the shaft of his prick until his come was through.
All of his muscles relaxed and she could feel her jaw close a little as his cock head lost some of its thickness. She could tell that it would only be seconds before the force of gravity had an effect on his cock head.
She slowly pulled her mouth away from his prick, stopping when her upper lip was an inch away from his piss hole.
The little girl could see that there was a string of come connecting her lip and his hole, making a bridge.
She pulled back with her neck and shoulders a little more until that string broke in the center.
Half fell onto his deflating cock head and the other half fell onto her upper tooth.
She pumped his prick a couple of times and saw a watery bead of post-orgasmic juice form at the little hole.
Melinda licked this away with a single swipe of her tongue.
She wanted all of his come to be in her belly where it belonged.
She could see that there was a thin film of semen covering his glans and she used the flat part of her tongue to lick this away also.
By the time the was done licking him the only thing making his cock wet was the saliva from her tongue.
She released her grip on his balls and his cock and looked up at him with a happy smile crossing her face.
"Did that feel good?" she asked — but she already knew the answer to the question.
"Oh, babycakes, you are the best," MacIntyre said, running his fingers through her thick black hair.
She rose to her feet and got up on her toes, tilting her chin upward, so they could kiss passionately.
MacIntyre could see that there was some of his come on her chin.
He licked her face clean, and this — naturally —- turned into a wet, sloppy tongue-kiss.

An Overly Complicated Analysis Of Costumes In Jesus Christ Superstar (2018)
For a little background on my love for JCS: I basically grew up on the 70′s movie. I think I was eight? When I watched it for the first time? And I loved it, way more than I expected to. I think it’s a great musical. And the 2018 version? When that happened, I was so excited I nearly lost it. I really don’t have a preference between the two, I see them both as very different shows and I love them both a lot. But anyway, the one I have lots of thoughts about the costuming of? 2018. So I guess this is happening purely because you want me to and not because I want to write it at all (jk I’ve thought about this nonstop since last night thank you all so much for actually wanting to read this). Also literally none of these pics are mine they’re just visual aids shamelessly stolen from google soooo... yeah. Full disclosure. Under the cut bc I’m about to get real long winded
So first of all, it’s pretty clear right from the start that there’s a lot of individuality to the way the costumes are done. Everyone has their own thing. But the other notable part? The colors. Everyone wears fairly muted colors, mostly black, with a few other shades of grey and things like that. Even their Jesus shirts, which are written in yellow, are done in a dark and dirty style. Also they just all look so badass? Like? Seriously? Amazing. Moment of appreciation for how wickedly punk rock the ensemble costuming is for this show.
The Pharisees also wear all black, but their all black is a uniform. They wear the exact same things. They’re uniform. They’re in line. They’re a force to be reckoned with, and they’re meant to be together. Everyone else’s clothes show rebellion, everyone else clearly goes against the grain and are different and unique. Jesus is a rebel and his followers were too, so it makes sense. The Pharisees weren’t rebels. They were like, the opposite of rebels. Hence uniforms. I really like the geometric details, also, the straight lines, the way it looks like it’s full of sharp edges even though it’s clearly not. Good use of patterns.
There are only like five exceptions who wear real colors in the show. Judas is one of the exceptions, in his red shirt. For most of the show it’s at least partially covered by his vest, but it is very present. It’s not the brightest shirt in the world, nothing is very bright there, but it’s red. Red really isn’t a surprising color choice for Judas, considering it’s very commonly associated with the bad or the evil, and that is how Judas is most commonly depicted. He’s the bad guy, he wears red, it tracks. Judas also wears silver at the end of the show, along with some ladies, because he’s a ghost and they’re? angels? I think? Doesn’t matter. He wears silver because it’s a heavenly color, and so do his backup dancers because they’re also heavenly. And it’s a fishnet style tank top and he’s covered head to toe in rhinestones. I just really vibe with him in that outfit which is why I attached pics of him in both.
Pontius Pilate is wearing rich person clothes. He’s got the gold and the vibrant, rich, deep red. He’s dressed kind of like a douche. He is kind of a douche. It fits.
King Herod, what a legend. He’s dressed in a completely gold suit. It’s sick. The cane? With a skull at the top? Sick. If you can’t tell, I really love King Herod’s character in JCS (and Alice Cooper is so good). He’s got his backup dancers who also have some gold, although of course not nearly as much. Gold is a good, royal, entitled color, and he’s royal and entitled, and his backup dancers are pretty and fabulous so they deserve it. Take another moment of appreciation for the incredible dancing in this show.
Jesus, of course, is dressed in white. Again, classic dichotomy of good vs bad includes the color white. White is good. White is pure. Jesus wears white. (He isn’t white, for the record, just his clothes). It a nice touch, the separation between Jesus and everyone else. But the more specific part of his costume that I really enjoy is his cardigan. First of all, I just love the mental imagery of Jesus in a cardigan. Cardigans rock. But also, I love the fact that his cardigan is grey. Blacks and greys, dark colors, muted colors, those are what the people wear. Jesus isn’t just divine, (although he is divine, which is why he wears white) he’s also a man. He is one of the people. The grey is that connection to the real world. And again, it’s a cardigan. Jesus in a cardigan? Rad.
And last but most certainly not least, my girl Mary Magdalene. Mary is, first of all, so precious. The part where she gives Judas her scarf? When she sees him sitting alone? Even though he’s been nothing but dickish to her through the whole show? So soft. So precious. I love her. Anyway. I think this personality is very heavily represented with her dress. Mary wears yellow. Not gold, not anything rich or fancy, but it’s also not muted or dark. She wears a yellow dress because she is warm, and she is caring, and she is soft. She cares about people. If you’ll notice her shoes, (top picture) also, you can see that Mary wears sandals. Pretty much everyone else in the show wears sneakers, with the exception of the dancers for Judas and Herod, who wear those awesome heels. Take another moment of appreciation for them being badasses who do their sick choreography, even in heels. Anyway, back to Mary. Everyone wears sneakers, (or sneaker equivalents, I’m not amazing at identifying specific shoes) or other athletically prepared shoes. They’re ready to run or fight or overall because they’re punk and rebellious and all that. But Mary wears sandals because she is a person of peace. When someone is angry, she tries to share peace. She brings a candle to the apostles. She goes to comfort Judas when he argues with Jesus, literally about her, because he’s upset and she knows it. She can wear her sandals because she has no need to be fast, has no need to be rebellious. She just is. She is dressed as a woman who respects herself and who genuinely cares about other people. Once again, if you can’t tell, I love Mary Magdalene. She’s one of my favorite characters in JCS.
Every person in this show is costumed so magnificently to the personality of their characters. The personal touches are incredible. Idk, I just really love everything they did with this show.

Designing Your Melody: Chapter 11 - Cupid’s Arrow
Chapter 01 - Chapter 10
“Today’s the day,” Marinette uttered nervously, pressing a hand against her churning stomach in a fruitless attempt to untie the knots her insides were tied in. Her nerves were stretched to the limit, ready to snap. She gazed up at the building where her fashion show would take place in a few short hours. She wasn’t ready to go inside. Not until her knees stopped trembling, at least.
She’d been a quivering mess since she woke up this morning. The countless hours of work had all led up to this moment. This was the goal she’d been working toward all these years. Every drop of blood, each drip of sweat, every single sleepless night spent hunched over her sewing machine had been for this chance to showcase her talents and hopefully catch the eye of a famous fashion house that would want to take her on as a designer.
Hands shaking, she gripped the strap of her purse in a futile attempt to steady them.
When a warm arm suddenly wrapped around her shoulders, she shrieked and nearly jumped out of her skin. Spinning in place to view her attacker, she lost her balance and nearly fell over.
“Easy there, Marinette,” Adrien chuckled, hands gripping her arms to keep her on her feet. He gazed at her as she inhaled deeply, trying to keep herself from hyperventilating. “Are you going to be okay?”
Stepping back out of his personal space, she closed her eyes and counted to three, opening them once again to observe her friend.
He’d grown into a truly handsome man. His shining blond hair was artfully styled into deceptively careless disarray, a few wayward strands falling over his brow and into his vivid green eyes. Mouth pulled into a devious smirk, she heard him continue to laugh at her clumsiness. She pouted a bit at how truly handsome he was. It wasn’t fair for someone to be so damn good-looking.
“I’m fine,” she bit, annoyed that he had once again caught her unravelling at the seams. “I’m just a little nervous.”
He laughed. “A little? When I touched you, you nearly came out of your skin.”
“You just startled me, is all.”
Once more, Adrien chuckled softly at her. “You’ll do great. The hard part is already over. Now,” he said as he wrapped his arm around her shoulders once more, encouraging her to go inside with him, “let’s do this, Marinette.”
Gathering her courage, she held her head high and stepped inside.

“Mlle. DuPain-Cheng, music starts in twenty minutes,” the producer – a severe-looking woman with auburn hair pulled into a no-nonsense bun - informed her, clipboard firmly in her hand. “Are your models ready?”
Glancing behind her at her friends, she smiled and nodded her head. She had just finished helping Juleka dress in her first outfit: a tunic length purple sweater with a wide cowl neck that exposed Juleka’s slender shoulders and black floral print leggings. Completing the ensemble was a pair of knee-high platform boots.
Adrien stood next to her looking absolutely dashing in a deep green, v-neck t-shirt, a casual pin-striped blazer emphasizing his broad shoulders and trim waist. Dark washed jeans and white sneakers completed his look. If she had seen him in an outfit like this when she had still been infatuated with him, she would have gushed about how the color of his shirt perfectly matched his eyes and how the blazer drew attention to his perfect butt…
But she wasn’t still infatuated with him, so she’d keep those thoughts to herself, she mused.
“You guys look amazing,” she said happily. “Thank you so much for helping me today, guys. I really appreciate it.”
Juleka smiled softly and said, “No, Marinette, thank you for giving me an opportunity to walk down the catwalk. You’re helping me as much as I’m helping you. I even asked my brother to come today so he could see me model in your show. He was so proud of me when I told him I was going to be modelling during Fashion Week and it’s all thanks to you.. With as much attention as you’re sure to get with your fabulous clothes, I’ll get to shine along side you as your model.” She giggled softly as she cocked her hip out. “With clothes as cute as these, there’s no way they’re not going to love you.”
“She’s right, you know.” Adrien reached over and rested his elbow on Juleka’s shoulder, grinning at her. “You’re going to be a smash hit, my Lady. You’re not alone here. Alya is covering your show for her blog, Nino’s up in the DJ booth cuing up the music as we speak, and don’t forget your parents out in the audience. We’re all here for you and we’re so proud of you.”
“Thanks, guys.” Reassured from her friends’ kind words, she shook her head and focused on the task at hand.
-xXx-xXx-xXx-xXx-xXx-xXx-xXx-
In the audience, Luka was waiting patiently for the show to begin. Looking around, he saw a few familiar faces, which put him at ease. Across the room, up in the DJ booth, Nino had his headphones on, jamming out the music only he could hear as he got his set list ready for the show. Wondering at the small world he lived in, he spotted Alya Cesaire, Nino’s girlfriend, sitting in the front row, taking pictures with her cell phone and excitedly tapping away on the screen. Must be doing a story on Fashion Week for her blog, he thought. He’d run into her a few times when he and Nino had collaborated together on a project.
Personally, he was excited to see his sister in her first fashion show. Really was proud of how much she’s grown in the past few years. When she had first told him she wanted to be a model, he supported her dream whole-heartedly, but worried whether someone as introverted as she could make it in such a cut-throat business.
His worries had been unnecessary. She had proved all who doubted her wrong and had been steadily finding work doing magazine ads and even appearing on a few billboards recently. But nothing could compare to this. Even though it was for an unknown designer, being able to put that she’d modeled in a Fashion week show would open a lot of doors for her modeling career and he wished nothing but the best for his beloved sister. He’d be there to watch over her, after all.
When the lights dimmed, he sat up, eyes focused on the raised catwalk and waited to see his sister. Techno music pounded through the once silent room, increasing the energy level in the room with is solid base beat.
Behind a screen at the entrance of the stage, he saw a feminine silhouette appear, striking a sassy pose with her hip cocked and her hand behind her head. His mouth gaped as he watched his sister - his shy, mild mannered sister – strut down the lane, hair billowing behind her and her eyes on fire. He could barely recognize his sibling in this fierce woman posing at the end of the walk, showcasing the outfit she was wearing.
When she disappeared backstage, the screen illuminated again, this time outlining a male model. His eyes widened when he recognized the man from advertisements plastered with his face all over the city. It was Adrien Agreste, the face of his father’s internationally branded fashion line. Screams erupted in the room as the audience recognized the handsome model strutting down the catwalk with the grace and intensity of a panther.
The designer responsible for this show was very smart to use him for their show, he decided. Come morning, their designs would be plastered all over social media and possibly even the news now that Adrien Agreste was the one wearing them. And his sister would be piggy-backing on top of that fame, launching her own career into possible fame.
Once the blond model retreated backstage to prepare his next outfit, Luka watched as his sister once again took the stage, wearing a completely different ensemble. How they changed her entire look in less than two minutes was absolutely astounding. It must be pure chaos behind the scenes, he mused.
However, his amusement faded as he continued to watch the show. With each ensemble that was shown, his eyes narrowed further. He recognized some of these clothes. He’d seen them taped to the wall when he’d delivered that fabric to his designer.
It’s impossible, he thought to himself. There’s no way such coincidences exist.
Still denying the possibility that the girl he’d been looking for for so long was the one who was responsible for the show that his sister was modeling in, his jaw dropped when Adrien walked out in his final look: the embroidered blazer that Luka had seen hanging on the mannequin.
Suspicions confirmed, he grinned, disbelieving his luck. Now, he wouldn’t have to try to track her down. He found her without even knowing he’d done it. Even better, his sister already knew his elusive designer and could introduce her to him after the show.
He whistled under his breath when he saw the show’s final piece. Juleka came out dressed in a gorgeous dress. The strapless top shimmered with beads under the bright stage lights. A silver-buckled black satin belt transitioned into a full skirt. The outer layer of black satin contrasted beautifully with the deep purple satin lining, visible due to the front of the skirt ending at Juleka’s thighs and the back cascading down to the floor. Opaque black stockings covered her exposed legs and protected the modesty of his sister, which he was secretly grateful for.
She gracefully walked to the end of the catwalk where Adrien was waiting for her. With a final pose, the two models leaned into each other with wide smiles in response to the roaring applause thundering through the room. turning toward the entrance of the stage, they waved, gesturing for someone to join them.
Tearing his eyes away from his stunning sister, his breath caught when the designer stepped on stage. He could almost hear the twang as he felt a punch in the gut, like he’d been shot by Cupid’s arrow.
She was petite and slender, her limbs willowy and graceful as she joined her models. Her dark hair shined blue under the lights, pulled back into a bun at the base of her neck with a few tendrils escaping to caress her neck. Her bright, blue eyes glistened with unshed tears as she stood proudly next to her designs. Pink lips stretched into a grin as she reached her hands out to either side of her and took her companion’s hands. With a final smile at the audience, the trio bowed, thanked the audience for their praise, and escaped backstage.
Luka was stunned. How on earth had he missed how pretty she was when she crashed into him that first day? In his defense, she had been in such a hurry and so he hadn’t had the chance to get a good look at her, but had he really been so oblivious?
Unable to wait another minute to finally meet his elusive muse – and congratulate his sister on a job well done – he rose from his seat and made his way back stage, eager to be introduced to the blue-eyed beauty responsible for the music pounding in his head.

Chapter 12
*OMG, It’s almost time! He knows! Aaaaah! Hahaha, sorry. I’m just really excited for these two to get some time together in the same room. Next time, I promise! But things aren’t going to go so easily for them once they do meet face-to-face mwahahaha!
Once again, thanks for taking the time to read this and give me your likes and reblogs. Leave me a reply about what you like, what you don’t like, and what you’d like to see. Your feedback gives me fuel to better myself and my writing.
Until next time, my lovelies, XOXO*

Old Writing Part Two: Electric Boogaloo
Yeah so uh here’s the “Fandom School” one.
This one has not been seen by even myself since like... October of 2016.
Oh jeez. That’s so long ago. Fuck time.
So this is... the whole story. Each Chapter was super short, the first three are under 400 words, so I just stuck ‘em all in here.
This one... is from 12 year old Sid. Yup. Little baby Sid.
It is bad. I’m warning you now. But perhaps, entertaining. At the very least, a good example of being able to grow and improve with enough practice.
Chapter One: Fangirlish
Abby shouted as she hit the floor. Her brother came running in, a look of worry on his face.
"What was that thud?" he asked.
"I laughed to hard while watching Venturiantale and fell off the bed."
Her brother face-palmed.
"Come on, Jeremy. Don't face-palm. They're funny!" Abby said with a grin.
"They're all you think about! You really need to stop obsessing. "
Abby gasped and looked at him like he just asked her to eat a smelly boot. "How could you say such a thing! Plus, they're not all that I think about. I also think about Doctor Who, and Star Wars, and Tolkien stuff, and Percy Jackson, and My Little Pony, and Monster High, and Warriors. "
Jeremy sighed. "Those are all....what do you call them? Fandoms?"
"Indeed. However, I am obsessed with them because they are beautiful. They are fabulous in ways you do not understand, mortal. Be gone!" Abby cried. She grabbed the ballpoint pen she took with her everywhere and uncapped it. "Be gone, or else you shall face the wrath if Riptide! Wait, Riptide can't harm mortals."
Jeremy sighed again and left the room, muttering about Abby being weird.
Abby went back to her video, laughing her butt off. After she finished it she went and read some Percy Jackson fanfiction. She was deeply absorbed in a very interesting fanfic when her alarm went off. It was time. She got up off her bed and went over to her desk.
She sat down and took out her notebook. She put on some music, written by Venturian of course, and began writing. She was writing a fanfic about Doctor Who.
"Abby, there's someone here to see you!" her mom shouted. Abby sighed, but went downstairs anyway.
She entered the living room to find a girl around her age sitting on the couch. She had blond hair with blue streaks and green eyes. She was wearing a t-shirt that said 'Fandom U' on it.
"Hello Abby, "she said with a grin, "I hear you're quite the fangirl."
Chapter Two: A Fellow Fan
Abby was a little creeped out. Who wouldn't be if a girl you had never met before was sitting in your living room saying she had heard about you?
The girl seemed to notice that Abby was weirded out, and spoke again. "My name is Bell, by the way."
"Bell? Who names their kid Bell?"
Bell laughed. "My mom's favorite movie is Beauty and the Beast. Anyway, you're a fangirl, are you not?"
"Yeah, kinda. And by kinda, I mean totally." Abby said. She was still a bit creeped out, but Bell seemed friendly enough. "Why do you ask? More importantly, how the heck did you hear about me? That's kinda creepy, considering this is the first time I've ever seen you."
Bell smirked. "So you're asking to know my secret?" She said the last part in a creepy voice.
"Wait, you watch Venturiantale? Awesome! But, could you at least answer my first question?"
Instead of responding, Bell handed Abby a piece of paper. It looked like a letter you would get from school. "Here, read this. If you decide you want to attend, just call the number at the bottom of the page." With that Bell left, humming a tune Abby recognized as the theme of Rohan.
She went back up to her room with the paper and began reading it. At the top it said, in big, bolded letters, Fandom U.
That's what Bell's shirt said.
As she read the paper her eyes widened.
Dear Whom It May Concern It has come to our attention that you are a massive fangirl. We are pleased to announce that you have been accepted into Fandom U. All supplies we be provided upon arrival, should you choose to attend. Please note that some fangirls can be dangerous if you speak negatively about their fandom, and the school is not responsible for any injuries should you be insensitive enough to do so.
Sincerely, The faculty of Fandom U
Excitement came over Abby. "I'm going to Fandom U!" she screamed happily.
Chapter 3: Belonging
A few weeks later, Abby was all packed and ready to go. She had called the school and arranged everything. She was sitting at the bus stop, waiting for her transportation. She bounced her leg up and down, a nervous habit of hers. Finally a bus labeled 'Fandom U' arrived. The doors to the bus opened, and Abby couldn't help but stare at the driver.
"Well, get in!" the driver said through his mask. He was dressed in a full on Stormtrooper cosplay. As Abby stepped onto the bus, she wondered how he wasn't being baked alive in the heat.
She discovered that each row represented a different fandom. She took a seat in the Doctor Who section because it, somehow, had more room then the other sections. The bus started up, making the same sounds the T.A.R.D.I.S makes. Abby stared out at her hometown, feeling excitement at what lay before her. She leaned back in her seat, humming fandom songs. Normally people would look at her like she was crazy, but instead everyone joined in, humming with her.
She had found where she belonged, and she loved it. The whole bus ride was filled with fan theories, discussions about characters, and tons of references. It was the most fun Abby ever had!
After what seemed like only minutes, they had arrived. Abby looked up at the building in front of her in awe.
It was enormous, like a castle. Above the door there was a huge sign reading 'Welcome to Fandom U!'. The building was shaped in an unusual way. So unusual that Abby wasn't even sure what shape it was. The outer walls were painted with so many fandom symbols that Abby had a hard time seeing anything else.
"Abby!" a voice called. Abby turned around to see Bell running towards her. "Abby, great news! They made me your escort!"
"Escort?"
"Well, yeah. It's a huge school. Plus it's your first day. I'm here to show you around!" Bell said.
She looked at Abby's face, which was still a face of awe. Bell grinned and said "Abby, welcome to Fandom U!"
Chapter 4: Orientation
"This place is amazing!" Abby said. She looked over at Bell, who seemed just as excited as Abby felt.
"Wait until you see the inside," Bell said. She started walking and motioned for Abby to follow. Abby grinned and walked with her into the school.
The inside was more amazing than the outside. The entrance was decorated with hundreds of pieces of fandom merch from hundreds of different fandoms. Abby noticed a T.A.R.D.I.S replica, a statue of a cave troll from The Lord of the Rings, a replica of Luke Castilian's sword Backbiter, and what appeared to be a statue of Papa Achachalla.
As she and Bell continued to wherever they were headed, Abby took in everything she could. The halls were each themed around a different fandom. There was a Doctor Who hall styled like the inside of a Dalek spacecraft, a Narnia hall styled like the Pevensy's castle, a Lord of the Rings hall styled like the halls of Rivendell, and a Venturiantale hall decorated with the channel's colors and each of the siblings emblems, among many others.
The classroom doors were all shut, so Abby didn't get the chance to see inside. She followed Bell to a large room resembling a theater.
"Welcome to the auditorium! This is where all the assemblies are held, as well as the school plays!" Bell said. She led Abby over to the very middle row and took a seat. She motioned for Abby to sit next to her, which is just what Abby did.
"This room is huge! How many students are there?" Abby asked.
"I'm not sure. A few hundred, maybe. Possibly more," Bell answered. "Oh, orientation's starting! We better stop talking. "
All the other students had sat down while they were talking. They all went quiet as a lady walked up on stage. "Greetings, students! I am Miss Silnet, your headmistress," she announced. Abby was shocked. The lady definitely wasn't dressed like a headmistress. She wore a camp Half-blood t-shirt underneath a black sweatshirt, a pair of jeans with fandom references doodled all over them, and a pair of plain red sneakers. Her ginger hair was pulled into a loose braid with bits of silver weaved in. She couldn't have been older than thirty, yet was still clearly a fangirl.
"Welcome to Fandom U! I'm sure some of you new students are curious as to what the U stands for. Most people think it means university. However, a university is a collage, and here all ages of fans are welcome. The U in fact stands for United. We are all united under our love of our fandoms! Join me as I say the school's pledge," she said. She put her hand on her heart and began the pledge, with many returning students saying it with her.
To be obsessed For all our lives, To value the next part Over the next school test. To love those who do not love back, To stalk them on the Internet. To unite as one Under the fandom sun.
Abby looked around her, thinking about how all these people had similar interests, habits, preferences, possibly even crushes as her. She realized that they truly were united in their love of fandoms. She could tell this was going to be her best school year ever.
Chapter 5: Classes
After orientation Bell lead Abby to her dorm. The room had two beds, two dressers, two closets, two trashcans, two desks, two bookshelves, and, to Abby's surprise, two TVs. There was a dark blue couch in front of each TV, the bedding was purple on both beds, and at each desk there was a chair made of oak with dark green built-in cushions. There was a large window in the middle of the wall leading outside, with a view of the huge field behind the school. In front of the window was a kitchen, complete with all the cooking utensils you could ever need. On both sides of the room there was a private bathroom with a shower, sink, medicine cabinet, mirror, and, of course, toilet.
"This room is amazing!" Abby marveled.
"It gets better. Guess who your dorm mate is. Me!" Bell said. Abby was very happy to hear that. Despite having only known Bell for a short time, the two seemed to be best friends. Plus, Bell was the only person Abby actually knew!
Abby then noticed the large boxes sitting by the desks. They were labeled School Supplies.
"So, which side do you want?" Abby asked Bell.
"Hm. The right side, I think."
"Okay!" Abby said. She set down her luggage, which she had been hauling around all day, on her bed. She walked over to her desk and opened the box.
Inside was everything a fangirl could need. There was a laptop, about a dozen brand new books, some notebooks, some pencils, some pens, a spare phone charger for both Apple and Android brands, a charger for the laptop, an extra pillow in case of a feels attack, a sketchbook for fanart, colored pencils, and many course books for class.
She closed the box, not feeling like unpacking it. Her eyes fell on some paper on her desk. She picked it up and asked Bell, "What's this?"
"It's a list of all the different classes you can take. In this school you get to choose all your own classes! What you do is pick your five main fandoms, then pick two classes per fandom. Later one of the teachers will come to collect it. They enter it into a computer, which then devises a schedule," Bell explained.
"Oh. Thanks!" Abby said. She turned her attention back to the paper. On the first page were five spots to write her fandoms. She thought for awhile, then chose Doctor Who, Percy Jackson, Venturiantale, Star Wars, and Warriors.
She turned to the next page, which had a list of the different classes for each fandom. She read over all the options, then chose the ones that interested her most.
Abby's choices:
Venturiantale: Tale Fighting, the class where you learn to fight like the Tale characters, and Lore 101, the study and attempt to make sense of VT lore.
Percy Jackson: Demigod Combat, the class where you learn how to fight like a Demigod, and Camp Cooking, the class of learning to cook the meals they eat at camp.
Doctor Who: A Study of Time, the class on understanding how time works, and Regeneration History, the study of the Doctor's personal history.
Warriors: Knowing Your Herbs, the class on healing methods the clans use, and Warriors Speak 101, the study of Warriors phrases and words.
Star Wars: Understanding the Force, the study of what the Force is as well as how it is used, and Dark vs Light, a debate class studying the pros and cons of each side in an attempt to find out which one is truly better.
Abby finished filling out the paper and looked over at Bell, who appeared to be doing the same.
Abby and Bell spent the rest of the night unpacking. Abby discovered that the closest was filled with fandom clothes, as well as the dresser. "How did they know my size?" she asked, a tad creeped out.
"Your mom had to put it on your admission papers."
"Oh."
Just before Abby went to bed there was a knock at the door. The teacher had come by to collect the class papers. After the girls had handed them over they got into bed. Bell seemed to fall asleep pretty quick, but Abby stayed up for hours, unable to sleep at the anticipation of the next day.
And then I never wrote Chapter Six. I guess she overslept, huh? Heh.
#my old writing#Whaaat no Abby's not a self-insert named after my favorite Monster High character#Psssh that's- that's crazy talk

The Luckiest (Mirandy)
In a world where your soulmate mark was the first meaningful thing they said to you, it caused great moments of frustration while awaiting the so far unspoken words tattooed somewhere on your arm.
Andy had no idea what context her soulmate's sentence was going to be spoken until she heard it firsthand, causing her to stop immediately in her tracks and look intently at the woman before her.
"You are very fetching." That was it, those four words that Andy knew better than anything after staring at them on the inside of her arm for her whole life. Of course it would be Miranda, her fierce boss and fashion idol to the masses.
Luckily the Miranda she knew was not as harsh on her as she was with others. Sure, she was in the beginning, but as their relationship evolved, so did an understanding of respect.
"So if Steven decides to rethink the divorce, by all means, fetch away." Miranda continued, not noticing Andy's blanching at the previous line.
After hearing her mark, she had an incredibly difficult time focusing, but managed to make it through unscathed after offering up any amount of assistance.
And when Miranda put Nigel's life on the back burner, yet again, Andy fought so hard to keep her cool and remain by Miranda's side, only because of her newly understood soul mark.
After returning back to the US and having everything settle down again, a few months had passed by, the two women still growing closer.
Unbeknownst to them, Emily and Nigel had weekly drink dates to go over their 'Mirandy' sightings or ideas, as Emily had been reinstated as one of Miranda's assistants, following Andy.
"Andrea!" Miranda called as usual, summoning Andy to her office within the next few seconds.
"Yes, Miranda?"
"The girls' school just called. Apparently Cassidy had a rather intense conversation and Caroline pitched in, leading to some name calling and what have you." Miranda started out, unsure of why she was spilling all of this information to her employee.
"Oh, well do you need me to go pick them up?" The brunette asked with a tilted head.
"Yes. Take Roy and take them home for the rest of the day. You are to stay with them until I get home. Emily can handle everything here for the day."
"I'll call Roy now." Andy said with a quick nod.
"And if you feel so inclined to mention that boarding school and military schools do exist, that would be fabulous." Miranda said irritatedly as Andy let out a chuckle.
"For what it’s worth, I think they’re incredible girls, Miranda." The brunette said sincerely as Miranda dropped the hand she had been waving around in the air previously.
"What?" She asked in a mix of sharp and soft.
"They’re protectors and I think that’s a beautiful thing." Andy stated.
"What did you just say?" The silver haired woman asked again, slightly bewildered as Andy quirked an eyebrow.
"They're sweet once you get to know them. I'm sure they had a reason for whatever words were said, I know they're both very protective of each other especially. I’m sure whoever they yelled at had it coming."
"Very well. Carry on." Miranda said before turning around in her chair, waiting for Andy to leave.
"Girls, hi. Your mom is still at work, so she sent me. Anything you’d like to share or talk about?" Andy asked the twins as they piled into the Mercedes, both in the backseat while Andy sat in the front with Roy.
"Yeah. Beth Lawson is a real bitch." Caroline shot out as Andy faced the front of the car to hide her smirk.
"Language, Caroline." Andy half-heartedly scolded the 13-year-old.
"It’s the truth, Andy. Beth was being so rude to Lauren because her parents aren’t soulmates. And I’ve had it with her. She doesn’t need to be so rude. She’s just jealous because Lauren’s parents are way happier than hers."
"Probably because her parents don’t have Beth as a child." Caroline said as soon as Cassidy was done talking.
"You and your mother have the quickest wit. And while it can be amazing, it can also be hurtful. I’m not condoning what Beth did or said, but sometimes it’s best to not let some bully get the best of you." Andy said, happy to see the twins nod slowly, yet receptively.
Another month passed by with Andy and Miranda both in denial about how the other must feel about them, though Emily and Nigel had started a betting pool throughout the office.
One Tuesday night Andy was just opening a bottle of wine when her phone rang.
"Damn it." She muttered as she went to grab it from off the couch, freezing slightly when she was that it wasn’t her boss, but her boss' daughter.
"Cass, are you okay?" She asked somewhat frantically.
"Yeah, we’re all fine. I just have this report due tomorrow and I’m not asking you to do it for me, but I need some major help." She added, especially since the girls and Andy had a conversation previously that encouraged them to do their own work.
"Okay, what’s the report?"
"I’m supposed to be writing a series of articles all on one topic. I wrote the articles, but I can’t get it to work well together and I don’t know how to format this. It’s due tomorrow and I’m so tired." The teen complained as Andy slipped on her shoes.
"How about I meet you at your house in 20 minutes? We can knock everything out in the next 2 hours and you’ll be in bed by 10?"
"Perfect, thank you so much!"
Andy knocked on the door to the large townhouse before looking down and realizing that she was still wearing yoga pants, a sweatshirt, and Nike sneakers.
"Too late now." She mumbled under her breath as she heard the lock click on the door.
"Andrea?" She saw Miranda’s confusion show briefly on her face.
"Hi Miranda. Sorry to bother you so late, Cassidy called me about some journalism related homework help." Andy explained as Miranda gestured for her to come in.
"Well thank you for coming, I appreciate it." The silver haired woman added, slightly shocked by the surprise guest.
"Anytime, Miranda."
"I'm going back to work in my study, but please come see me before you leave."
"Of course, Miranda." Andy said, gulping somewhat nervously, wondering what the woman could possibly want to talk about.
At 10:15, Cassidy was thanking Andy immensely and heading off to the bathroom to get ready for bed.
The brunette stood at the landing of the stairs, took a deep breath, and then proceeded downstairs as confidently as she could manage.
She peeked her head into her beautiful boss' study, taking a second to watch the silver haired woman work furiously on the book in front of her.
"Miranda?" She asked questioningly, not missing the woman freeze before her.
"Andrea. Please, come in." She said slowly, removing her glasses as the brunette walked closer to her. "Thank you again for helping Cassidy with her homework."
"Of course, Miranda. She's a brilliant girl, I'm always happy to help her or Caroline." She said sincerely as Miranda gave a slow nod.
"Speaking of that, I wanted to bring something up to you. There's no smooth way to say this, so I'll just come out with it." The woman said, butterflies forming in her stomach as she watched her assistant quirk an eyebrow.
"Sure?" The younger woman said softly as she tilted her head.
"I think we're soulmates." The editor breathed out heavily, worry coming across her face as Andy broke out into a breathtaking smile.
"I know. We are." She said, her smile wide as she spoke unwaveringly.
"You know?" The woman before her asked, she herself smiling now.
"Since Paris. I just assumed you weren't interested." She added with a shrug, smile still in place.
"You silly girl." Her boss said fondly as she stood up and sat down on the couch next to her newfound soulmate. "I didn't know until this afternoon."
"Really?" Andy spoke softly.
"When you spoke about my girls." She confirmed with a nod.
"Oh. Well. How do you feel about it then?" Andy asked, heart pounding in her chest as she scooted even closer to Miranda.
"Like the luckiest person in the world." Miranda stated simply as she rested her hand on Andy's and smiled brightly at her.

Pagan Min(FarCry 4) Starters
"I distinctly remember saying, 'Stop the bus.' Not 'shoot the bus.' '*Stop* the bus'."
"I'm very particular with my words."
"Stop. Shoot. Stop. Shoot. Do those words sound the same?"
"I hate when things get out of control."
"You had one fucking job and you couldn't fucking do that!"
"I got blood all over my fucking shoes!"
"At least there's a silver lining. You didn't completely fuck it up."
"Get up, boy. I'd recognize those eyes anywhere..."
"I'm so sorry about this. This was supposed to be... well, *not this*."
"Who is this? Hmm? Is this your plus-one?"
"Strong silent type. I like it."
"I am terribly sorry about all this. This was supposed to be very simple, but you know if you give food to monkeys, they just throw their shit at each other."
"Don't worry about a thing, boy. This will soon be behind us and we'll be off on our grand adventure."
"Because I have cleared my calendar for you! You and I are gonna TEAR SHIT UP!"
"Women, they can do that. They can tell you they love you in the moment and mean it. Men, on the other hand... No, men only really love you in hindsight. When too much distance has built up."
"The little monkey, whose name I still don't know."
"Really guys we're not checking for these anymore?"
"I had him killed. Or was it his family?"
"That’s the last time I’m kidnapping a fucking TV celebrity chef."
"“Awesome! Oh, just making sure you’ve been listening.”
"I long for those days but then it’s too late."
"I tried, I really really did, this place is ruinous. Try not to let them drag you down."
"I’ve been thinking about my image, on the world stage, and I think what I lack is a celebrity endorsement."
"If the dictator of Turkmenistan can get J-Lo to sing him “Happy Birthday” then who’s to say I can’t get my fading star of yesteryear?"
"I wonder how much Kanye is going for. Do you follow him on Twitter? It is gold. I would love to shoot the breeze with that young man."
"Who are you rooting for so far?"
"Have you fallen into _____'s honey pot, or have you been dazzled by ______'s flowing locks and bad-boy jawline?"
"He isn’t my cup of tea, contrary to the rash assumption some may make about my appearance. I am indeed batting for the other team."
"You, more than most, should know that there was only ever one woman for me."
"Oh, I’d love to give you a tour of my vaults one day."
"People are hypocrites, and they all want someone to blame for their shit-filled lives, they never want to accept their share of the responsibility."
"Tell me who lights all of those fucking candles?"
"The country is in the grips of a civil war, an apparently monstrous dictator has the country on it’s knees, and yet some industrious fool has put it upon himself to wake up every morning and go around lighting hundreds, and hundreds of candles."
"Write it down this is important. Listen, candles are now illegal. What? Yes all of them! Treason punishable by death."
"I hope you don’t mind, but I took the liberty of having a new suit made up for you."
"You’re going to need a sharper look than denims and fucking sneakers, my boy."
"And that jacket. Oh, don’t get me started. Why on Earth do you need so many zippered pockets?"
"Next time you need something lanced, employ the services of a professional."
"I’ve spent a lot of my life apologizing for ____’s first impressions."
"Only so many pens can go missing from the stationary cupboard before someone has to lose a hand!"
"You always regret those decisions when they die, don’t you?"
"It always hits you when it’s too late, always when they’ve gone."
"After _____ left it was a very dark time for me."
"Yes, yes, I murdered countless innocents, yes I outlawed religion, yes I changed the currency so everyone’s savings were meaningless."
"And yes, I may have gone through a period of bathing in yaks’ blood and slamming rails of coke."
"But…I’m reformed now, look at me."
"Did you miss me? Oh wait, yes, you did!”
"His only crime was being born with fabulous cheekbones."
"Suppose next time it’ll just be you and me."
"I can almost see your furrowed brow from here.”
"Tone! I’m merely calling to check up on you!"
"Of course, you’re in a hurry. Places to go, shit to tear up."
"But don't forget, choices have consequences."
"Am I missing a hint? Should I start taking this personally?"
"That statue was solid fucking gold. Literally! I’m not being metaphorical."
"Well, what’s done is done. And dinner’s nearly ready."
"If you’re listening to this, I am no longer with you."
"________ has just ditched me at a dinner party, and I am admittedly a little ???."
"Have a plan for what should happen next, but the future is a fickle mistress."
"Fuck you! I’ve always hated the lot of you."
"Well I *had* something important to say, but I suppose you just want to get out there and start shooting things."
"That's my boy!"
"You know what I hate? Typos."
"I’m giving you elephants. That’s right, elephants! I call the big one Hurley. He’s clumsy, but oh-so-adorable."
"You are, er, let’s see here, “capable and valued”, yes, those were the words for the day. I’m a believer in positive reinforcement in case you haven’t figured that out."
"I'm in control of my temper, even if you did just FUCK UP ROYALLY!"
"Maybe now we can finally shoot some goddamn guns!"
