Kili Durin x Human!Soulmate!reader
Word Count: 1.8K
Thorin was getting worried, Kili had become somewhat of a ghost story over the past month. He had assumed that his nephew was simply doing his duty. Kili had volunteered to be the envoy between Dale and Erebor for the discussions of armament and training. However, that treaty was signed a week ago, and said envoy position was no longer needed. So why in all of Arda was Kili still going to Dale every day? The young prince left as soon as he was finished with his daily tasks and didn’t return to the mountain until well after the sun had set. Thorin was not worried for his nephew's safety, after all, Kili was an excellent warrior and could take care of himself, no, Thorin was worried for Kili’s heart.
Fili had also noticed his brother’s absence but the blonde prince had always been a bit more perceptive than his surly uncle. Fili had noticed that Kili was missing, but he also noticed that every time he returned to the mountain it was with the most dopey grin that he had ever seen. A grin that he recognized, for it had also graced his face a few months ago when he met his beloved Alma. Fili would bet his beard on it, Kili was in love.
You on the other hand were getting more and more annoyed each time the brown-haired dwarf walked through the front door. He was charming sure, and polite. But he stared. At you. The whole time he was there. And he was there a lot. His attempts to engage you in conversation were far and few between, the few times he was able to grab your attention away from the bustling building he became tongue-tied the moment your eyes landed on his.
Kili didn’t understand why he couldn’t say more than a few words to you without choking on his words. Your eyes had to hold some kind of spell within them. They enchanted him and left him bewitched every time he caught their gaze. It left him frustrated, he had never had this much trouble with women before, why were you so different? Deep down he knew though, you weren’t just any woman. He was afraid though, afraid that naming what you were to him out loud would make it real. And when it is real, it can hurt you.
There weren’t very many stories on One’s where the love didn’t end up requited, either because it just simply never happened. Dwarves were incredibly stubborn creatures after all, and it was entirely possible that they just wore down their other half until some sort of connection formed. It was also possible that those unfortunate few who weren’t able to woo their other half died of broken hearts. The former was unlikely as Kili kept having to remind himself, he couldn’t die of a broken heart. Right?
He was determined tonight though, to find out definitively if the sparks he felt for you were just interest in the handsome woman from Bree, or if you truly were the other half of his soul. To do that though he would need to say more than a few words to you. The problem with that was that you seemed exceptionally busy tonight.
Busy you were, Brant had told you last night that he was going to be leaving today to go to visit family for some type of emergency.
“If the place is still standing when I get back, we’ll talk more about it becoming yours someday.” He had said. You were hoping that that ‘someday’ was sooner rather than later. Brant was getting up there in years. Just last week he had hurt himself trying to lift one of the barrels of ale that had been shipped in from the Iron Hills. You had been taking on more and more of his old tasks and to be completely honest, it felt like you did the job of an owner anyway, just without all the benefits.
You weren’t going to let the man down though, even if it did mean rushing back and forth all night trying to keep up with demand all by yourself.
“Another! Y/N,” was yelled in front the back of the room. Roland was a boisterous man who got along with everyone, he was only a year or two older than you and was currently on his eighth pint of the night. He had a large countenance and seemed to fill up whatever space he occupied, he was handsome but the more and more he drank the less his looks mattered. Usually, this is the point in the night where he starts bordering more on unruly rather than fun-loving. Nevertheless, he was a paying customer and as long as he could still walk on his own out the doors, you weren’t going to say no to his money.
You grabbed another pint glass and poured one for him, balancing it and several other drinks on a tray. You steeled yourself with a deep breath before running back out into the fray.
Walking close to the stool he was sat on you leaned slightly over him and placed his pint down on the counter beside him. He was engrossed in the conversation between the large group of men, something about the best way to skin a buck, you weren’t really listening. As you grabbed his empty glass to take back to the kitchen to be washed, his large hand encircled your wrist none too gently.
“A pint is a wonderful thing, but it is even more delicious when served by a beautiful lady,” He whispered into your ear. You grit your teeth and roughly pull your hand back.
“Now, Roland, what have we said about touching things that don’t belong to you? Huh? Touch the wrong thing and you might just lose your hand.” You spit back at him. Cutting your eyes up at the mounted swords that rest above the fireplace only a few steps from where the two of you are. “I’d hate to have to clean those swords, they are sharp.” You look back into his eyes, satisfied with the fear that you see within them. You stand back up and place your tray back upon your shoulder.
“Anything else I can get you gents?” You question the other men scattered about the space. Silence reigned over the air for a few moments.
“Alrighty then.”
A pint here, a glass of wine there, and two hot meals delivered later, your tray was empty and everyone in the place seemed momentarily satisfied.
Letting out a breath you lean up against the counter.
“What did you say to him?” A somewhat familiar voice pipes up beside you. You turn your head towards the voice. It's the dwarf prince, and you are once again struck with just how handsome he is. You are also struck with the familiar feeling of annoyance, of course, he picked now to talk to you. Just when you had finally afforded yourself a break.
“Hmm?” You raise a singular eyebrow at him. “Who?”
“That large and very drunk man in the back, I couldn’t hear what you said but I could see the look on his face. It was similar to my brother’s when our mother would scold him for forgetting his manners.”
“That’s not too far off actually, Roland over there got a little too comfortable and touched something that didn’t belong to him, I had to remind him of the rules.”
“And what exactly did he touch that was so forbidden?” The prince smirks and laughs.
You smirk back and lift a glass to your lips before uttering one single word, “Me.”
All of the laughter drained from Kili’s face, “He touched you?” His voice had gotten much lower, his eyes darkened right before you.
You rolled your eyes. “I’m going to stop you right there Your Highness, I am perfectly capable of taking care of myself. I’ve been doing it for years. I don’t need some man, no matter how handsome he is coming to defend my honor every time I’m even remotely slighted. The trail of bodies will get far too long.” You stare into his eyes as you speak, putting all the righteous fury you’ve got stored inside into each word.
Seconds tick by before he opens his mouth to speak again.
“You think I’m handsome?”
“I think that we have bigger problems if that is the only thing you got from that.” You took another sip.
“No, no, no I got the point, you don’t need a big strong man to come to your rescue. Lucky for you, I am not big.”
The laugh that sprung from the back of your throat caught you off guard, you slap a hand over your mouth in an impossible effort to catch it and shove it back inside. He was funny, he had never been funny before.
Kili liked your laugh even though it was closer to a snort than an actual laugh, and he would be foolish to ignore the way his heart picked up at the thought that he was the one who made you laugh.
“You- I- I have never heard of a dwarf who makes fun of themselves, in my limited experience your lot are very prideful.”
“Not as prideful as some other races, I should think.”
“No, you’re not nearly as prideful as the pointy-eared bastards who hole themselves up in that accursed forest.” Your words held a healthy amount of rage as well as teasing.
“I sense that there is a story there somewhere.” Kili raised an eyebrow, mimicking your face from earlier. He was desperately trying not to think about the fact that this was the longest conversation the two of you had had up to date.
“One that I’m going to need a lot more liquid courage before divulging, I’m afraid.”
“We can make that happen.” Kili wiggled his eyebrows and pointed at the bottles of liquor behind the bar that separated the two of you.
At that very moment, a shout from the rowdy bunch of men in the back rang out, calling for another round.
“Duty calls your highness, but perhaps I will tell you that story… another time.” You winked at him and grabbed for your tray again, beginning to load it up once more. If that is how conversations with the dwarf prince went all the time, you wouldn’t mind having them more often.
You walked away before Kili could come up with a response, but he was more certain than he ever had been that your heart called to his. Why else would the very sight of you walking away feel like his heart was leaving too?

As You Are.
Masterlist of all fics are here
Fandom: The Hobbit
Pairings: Thorin Oakenshield x Fem!Reader, Thorin Oakenshield x PlusSize!Reader
Warnings: Angst, insecurity of weight and appearance, self hatred, dieting, fluff
Summary: Thorin becomes extremely concerned when he notices that you aren’t eating as much at meal times. He asks about this, only to find that you have been trying to diet as you are ashamed of your weight and think that Thorin would prefer you slimmer.
Comments: If you would like to be added to my tag list, or removed, let me know. I’m beginning a new tag list due to the fact that I’ve been inactive recently. Just a quick piece to stretch my writing muscles again. Enjoy!
“My love, you have barely eaten anything,” Thorin said, growing concerned as he looked upon all the various foods covering the table, of which you had only ate a few bits. Normally your appetite could have easily outshone his. In fact, Thorin had always enjoyed watching you have your fill. After all, when you had been on the quest together to re-claim Erebor, food had been scarce through parts of the journey. Being the queen meant that she lived a very luxurious lifestyle now, and that included delighting in many delicacies.
You raised your head and your gaze lifted from where it had been in your lap for the last five minutes as you mentally felt disgusted with yourself. The rolls. The stretch marks. It all made you hate yourself. Back in your world and most men would have made you feel inferior for your larger build and compared your appetite to that of a farmyard animal who lived out in the dirt.
“I’m just not that hungry,” you replied softly, feeling your chest tighten.
“Is there something wrong?” Thorin asked, his brows furrowed. “This is not like you at all.”
“What? To eat like a stuffed pig?” you barked back, fighting tears.
Thorin was aghast at your outburst and placed his silver cup down with a dull thump upon the table. “And this outburst is most certainly not like you!” Thorin’s voice was firm, and it instantly made you recoil back in guilt and shame.
One of the serving women came out from the kitchens and saw what was happening between you and Thorin, so she immediately disappeared back to where she came from.
“Lets take this back to our chambers,” Thorin said, a sharp edge now apparent in his tone.
The walk back to your royal chambers was quiet. Only the tapping of Thorin’s boots against the stone could be heard as you ascended flights of steps and traced hallways to the royal wing. The atmosphere between you both was tense and fragile.
Thorin tossed his robe over the end of your bed and then looked at you, his blue eyes shining bright with question and frustration. “What was that downstairs? And tonight is not the first time that I have noticed you eating less and skipping meals.”
That was true. Most mornings and your breakfast was left untouched, and on those days when Thorin was required in council early, you had requested no food to be sent up to you at all. Whenever Thorin tucked into a tasty dessert after his main dinner, you could feel yourself salivating. That only made you hate yourself more.
“I’m disgusting, Thorin,” you said, your voice breaking. With that, you fell down on the bed. You placed your head in your hands and wept.
Thorin was puzzled, but also grief-stricken at the sight of his One in such anguish. “My love?” he whispered, sitting beside you and taking your hand. “Where has this come from? Who has made you feel such a way? I know that it is not me. However could you say you are disgusting? You are beautiful. Every inch of you.”
Tears blurred your vision as you looked upon your husband. “Back in my world and being overweight is seen as something that makes you less desirable.”
Thorin scoffed. “Are men in your world really so blind? Your body shape shows that you are healthy. Less desirable?” Thorin chuckled in disbelief. “They cannot be serious. I adore you just as you are. And you have no idea how that body of yours makes me feel.”
That response made you giggle. “You’re just saying that to make me feel better.”
“Would I ever lie to you?” Thorin asked, raising his hand to your cheek where he brushed away your tears with his palm.
“I just thought you’d want me slimmer....”
Thorin cut you off. “Shhh.” He curled his hand around your head, his fingers lacing in your locks. Then he placed his forehead against yours and kissed it softly. “You are utter perfection.”

𝒂𝒖𝒕𝒖𝒎𝒏 𝒍𝒆𝒂𝒗𝒆𝒔 𝒂𝒇𝒕𝒆𝒓 𝒔𝒕𝒓𝒐𝒎(Thranduil X Plus size /midsize reader)
Hey my lovely elves and hobbits, i hereby publish my first one-shot of the most wonderful king of all medieval times, as you know from my other stories, english is not my first language so i would appreciate it if you don't mind if you find any mistakes! Thank you @sharinkashaf for requesting my first One-Shot of Thranduil, and I wish you all a good read, reminding you that my requests are still open!
𝑾𝒂𝒓𝒏𝒊𝒏𝒈𝒔: fluff, and a bit of spice in the end, but nothing explicit or nsfw, just fluff
𝑾𝒐𝒓𝒅 𝒄𝒐𝒖𝒏𝒕: 4000
𝑹𝒆𝒒𝒖𝒆𝒔𝒕𝒆𝒅 𝒃𝒚: @sharinkashaf ♡♡
Deep inside you knew that after crossing that darkness, you would face your worst nightmare... your breathing was racing, you felt the cold sweat dripping down your face, lost in your thoughts, you didn't notice that your name echoed through the trees, it was calling you from beyond and a simple touch was enough to drag you back to reality.
You blinked your eyelids several times still trying to assimilate what was happening, until you saw the crystal clear look of Legolas, standing in front of you with his worried eye.
"Y/n? Were you listening to me? No wonder you almost got killed, you've been too distracted-" through his words you analyzed the scene in front of you, legolas was standing in front of you on top of the fresh corpse of one of the big spiders that were poisoning the forest roots, for a moment you didn't know how to react to what he had told you and a strange silence fell over you. "You've been like this ever since I said we were going to visit my homeland, is it so degrading to have to deal with elves?" he said while laughing.
"Ahm... no, I'm used to it, having to deal with you is worse, besides, every time we go there, the guards mistake me for a dwarf... you know being small and chubby doesn't help, so answering your question, no, it's not unpleasant, it's just weird, besides-" you were interrupted when you heard the sweet laughter of legolas echoing through the tree branches.
A little annoyed you took your backpack and walked forward following the path in front of you, you knew Legolas since you were 15 years old, when he was on a quest searching for a horde of Orcs that had been seen near the village where you lived, you lived only with your grandmother, but when the village was attacked, her soul was one of the many that filled the sky that night, while you were crying and mourning her death, you felt a chill hit you in the stomach like a punch, you were alone in the world, you had nowhere to go, no one to stay with. ... so you just hid from the population waiting for hunger and thirst to take your life back to the only person you knew and loved.
But those plans were ruined when a pair of hands took you gently and wrapped around you, with watery eyes, and with some difficulty you looked up and saw two sapphires staring at your eyes with sadness and relief, that was the first time you met him, since then you have been accompanying him in his travels and adventures, moving from land to land, You had dedicated yourself to books and medicine, but by the encouragement of legolas you learned to fight, because you needed to know how to defend yourself when he wasn't near you, so as much as you refused because you considered yourself too "fat" to be able to fight, you let yourself be influenced by his charisma.
The first time you visited Mirkwood you were 16 years old and it was the first time you were in his presence... King Thranduil, when his eyes landed on yours, your heart soared and you had never felt so small, his gaze was intense and his beauty incomparable, from then on you knew that your heart had chosen him to love, and that was always the problem... whenever you and legolas returned to the forests of Mirkwood to rest a little before setting off on a new adventure, you tried your best to avoid being too long in the presence of Thranduil, you knew that you could not contain yourself, as soon as his gaze crossed yours or his voice whispered your name, nothing else mattered, not a single word could leave your lips, without embarrassing yourself, without making some ridiculous or unnecessary comment, every time you found yourself in his presence you didn't know how to react, and that was a nightmare for you.
"Y/n?" You heard the voice of legolas calling you quietly, he knew... he knew that you had fallen in love with Thranduil and he had always been by your side, and he had always supported you, but no matter how hard you tried to let yourself be carried away by the wonderful feeling that warmed your chest, storms crossed your thoughts, your body, your race, your age, you felt powerless, and that was a huge insecurity for you. "It's good to visit home, you'll be quieter, I no longer have to listen to your voice all day, reciting those poems or facts you find in your books" legolas joked in an attempt to calm you down
"Well sir, if it wasn't for my intelligence, you wouldn't have made it through several fights, besides, what would you be without me massacring you with wisdom?" you replied quickly, walking over the bridge to the gate.
"You know, sometimes I appreciate you being such a pain in the ass, Mellon nin" you smiled, watching the elf enter the big gate towards the throne room, so he could talk to King Thranduil, you took a deep breath, because you already knew what was coming, you went from a friendly and chatty person to a shy and awkward person in less than seconds.
Quietly you walked behind Legolas in an attempt at his height to hide you and avoid having to deal with his father's presence directly, but that was in vain, as soon as you walked through the door your names were announced and the attempt died even before it was used.
"Returned from the far northern lands, Prince Legolas and (Y/n), have arrived"
you never felt so annoyed in your life, as they walked to the center of the room, your bodies bent in a rather unformal bow, when your head was raised again there was his gaze fixed on you again, you felt an electric shiver run down your spine, The only thing you could do was to lower your head again, feeling your cheeks burning with embarrassment, you could feel his gaze on you, and you could feel the smirk forming on his lips, finally his voice echoed through the room, making you shiver a little.
"i am glad you have finally arrived iôn nin" King Thranduil smiled a little at legolas as he walked down the stairs towards you, you felt your heart beating too hard, you were nervous, afraid that your panting breath could be heard, when you saw him to your front, your whole body adopted a reddish color, shyness invaded your being, leaving you helpless towards that crystal clear gaze, slowly you raised your face to face him, his smile grew a little as he saw the act of courage.
"I'm glad you're still here too, heryn Y/n" his voice was husky and authoritative, which made you shiver once more, you bowed your head in a respectful gesture and smiled embarrassed, when your gaze met legolas', you could see the effort he was making not to laugh, annoyed, you sighed looking away, observing the huge corridors.
"T-thank you my king" you replied tremulously, still looking for a place to hide.
"How long do you intend to spend here?" Thranduil asked curiously, still in front of you, you didn't know for sure how long you would stay there, usually you stayed for a few days to gather some supplies and rest, but they only were mere few days, this time would be no different.
"A few weeks, I'm afraid, Y/n will need to learn to fight a bit before we continue, I thought I would stay here for a few weeks to teach her, if it's not too much trouble" your blood ran cold, weeks? why should you stay for weeks, your tremulous gaze fixed on legolas who remained with a serene expression, on the other hand, your expression was terrified, staying here for a few days was sufficient, and it was hard enough trying to dodge going through the same places as his father, now weeks? you wouldn't last for weeks!
Thranduil looked at you slowly, analyzing you, trying to decipher what that head of yours was thinking, as much as he didn't want to he had gained a special affection for you, he still remembered the first time they met you were a child, trembling all over, and now you had become an amazing woman, in all the letters exchanged between him and Legolas, his son made a point of mentioning how fast your progress was and how intelligent and insecure you were, you were like a jewel waiting to be polished. When your gaze crossed with him, he could see the fear in your eyes, it was normal of you, whenever you were in his presence he could feel the terror radiating from you, and it always worried him.
"As long as heryn (Y/n) doesn't mind, you can stay as long as you need for me, I will be delighted with your presence here." Thraduil knew what he was doing, he wanted to make you comfortable, he wanted to at least be able to feel you calm down, but the opposite was the result.
A few hours had passed since the meeting in the throne room, you were pissed off with Legolas, you hated when he made decisions without asking, knowing that you would have to see Thranduil every day was exciting and scary at the same time... The rain was pouring against the large window in the palace library, you liked to go there to think, during the night it was rare to have anyone over, so you took refuge there, near the fireplace, sitting on the bench built into the window, facing the mountains. You looked at the black clouds that stood out in the darkness of the night, a storm was approaching, what you hated most were storms, the lightning, the thunder, the rain beating madly on the glass, the wind and the cold... only thing that was good for you was to be protected in that big library, where nothing could harm you.
Watching the drops of water running down the glass, you sighed, you felt ridiculous, for not being able to talk to the king, he wasn't a bad person... but your feelings for him closed your voice in a tomb, and it was hard to get out, laying the book on your thighs, you sighed once more, you felt insecure, you knew he would never look at you as a lover, your body wasn't worthy of a king, you were short, chubby Lost in your own insecurities you didn't notice the shadowy figure beside you, Thranduil walked calmly, noticing that your mind wasn't there, without wanting to scare you he coughed to call you back to reality.
Lost once again in the dark labyrinth of your thoughts, something had pulled you, you often lost track of your surroundings while in this strange trance between reality and thoughts, you looked around still a little stunned and noticed the tall elegant figure in front of you, When you finally recognized who it was, your blood froze, stopped in time, your breath sharp as a dagger, your eyes went through his body, as if in a dream, his eyes fixed on you, as if he was trying to put you in a trance, you had nowhere to run. ... but did you want to escape?
The rain beat softly, making you a little calmer, you put your hand on your chest and took a deep breath.
"I am sorry... I did not wish to frighten you, I was just passing by and saw light through the door floorboards, and decided to see who it was." Thranduil knew he was lying, minutes earlier he had asked Legolas where you were hiding, legolas didn't want to reveal that information to him as he knew how upset you were and that you needed to become mentalised that you would have to face your feelings, but his father's concern prompted the young elf. He knew that it would be good for you to finally face Thranduil. Legolas suspected that the king had also noticed your connection to him, but he kept quiet about it, not wanting to provoke any kind of bad blood between the two of you.
"N-no, you didn't scare me your majesty, I was just thinking, lost in my thoughts, forgive me if I was rude for not noticing your presence" you said almost as if it was a whisper, embarrassed and still a little hypnotized by his gaze, when a smile brushed on his lips, a warmth enveloped your body, leaving you helpless.
"Please melui Y/n, don't refer to me as your majesty, it's just you and me here" Those words made you even more nervous, as much as you didn't speak sindarin fluently, know that Melui mean sweet, and the thought of you two being the only ones in that room made you distressed.
"But your majes-" you could not finish your thought, for as your voice left your lips, thunder echoed through the mountains, making you cry out, a little, hiding your face in your knees, hugging them. Thranduil had heard that you were afraid of thunder, but he had thought it was when you were younger... slowly he sat down, at your side, taking your hand gently, you looked at him quickly, your heart was beating so fast, because of the sounds that broke the clouds in the skies, and also because of his touch, it was the first time you had felt such a delicate and yet firm touch... another flash of lightning lit up the mountains, and your body shrank in place.'
"Y/n?" Your name danced on his lips, and for a moment you felt your heart stop "are you okay?" well at that moment you were facing your two worst nightmares, being okay was not quite the feeling you were in the moment.
"I- AH!" You screamed as you saw the flash of light radiating from the heavens, it seemed so close, without realising it tears were running down your temples, making you even smaller and more vulnerable.
Thranduil's heart was breaking when he saw you so scared, he couldn't stand still, when he saw the tears running down your rosy face, he carefully wrapped you in his arms, without thinking, just wanting to protect you with his body, a feeling bloomed in his chest, a feeling that hadn't touched him for centuries, he tried to pull you into his lap, but you struggled, looking at him scared, your eyes were red and swollen from crying.
With your breath you tried to refuse, you knew you were too heavy to be in his lap, and feeling his warmth on your skin almost made you faint, you wanted more, but at the same time, you wanted to run away and never face him again.
"I can help you, to calm you down... do you trust me? " he said softly in your ear, ruffling every hair on your body, hypnotized once more you let this feeling overwhelm you, Thranduil wrapped you in his arms and pulled you to himself, he was much taller and bigger than you, on his lap you looked like a child, you felt comfortable, there, in his lap wrapped by his body feeling his warmth, while he whispered sweet nothings in sindarin, for moments the elf felt your hands wrapping him leaving him paralyzed, he delicately raised your head, with a finger on your chin, and let himself get lost in your eyes (E/c), he himself didn't want that moment to end. ... was it wrong? An elf falling in love with a human? was it wrong after so many years for him to feel love again? He knew that your time was short, but still he wanted to enjoy it, he wanted to love you, he wanted to worship you, to make you forget all the fears and insecurities that tormented your mind, he wanted to hold you in his arms forever.
"What are you doing to me?" those were his last words before his lips fell on yours, you didn't know how to react .... you were paralyzed, debating internally if this was a dream or reality, until once again you let that feeling embrace you, and kissed him back, leaving him delighted, giving him permission to continue, his hands danced on your skin, pulling you to himself, as if there was still a distance between you both, your hands wandered across his chest, while you felt the white light of thunder illuminate the atmosphere.
With difficulty,Thranduil, parted your lips, finding you in a vulnerably pleasurable state, your face even rosier, your breath panting, your lips half open, your eyes adorned by his, you were driving him crazy, but he knew he had to control himself, but his body moved on its own as he heard your sweet voice steal his name "T-Thranduil? " without thinking he removed you from his lap just so he could lay you down on that small bench, covering you with his body, the reflection of the raindrops on your skin, was leaving him amazed, how could such a wonderful and delicate creature exist, carefully he unbuttoned the first buttons of your shirt, leaving your neck exposed, kissing and leaving small marks on your skin, stealing sweet sounds from your lips, he wanted to go further but something in him made him stop.
You were too embarrassed, you still thought you were dreaming, when you felt his lips, brushing against the exposed skin of your neck you couldn't contain your voice, with your hands dancing in his platinum hair, you felt wonderful, but when you felt Thranduil trying to undo the rest of the buttons of your shirt, you pushed him away feeling insecure with your body, you didn't want him to see the body you had, the scars that adorned your skin, you didn't want him to feel disgust, and what seemed like a dream quickly turned into a living nightmare.
"N-no... please, I'm not worthy of you seeing my body, Aran nin I don't deserve such affection..." your words hurt him, what do you mean you weren't worthy? What do you mean you were not worthy of his affection? Thranduil saw the tears forming in your eyes again and felt frustrated, how could someone so beautiful be so insecure? "Aran nin my body is not worthy of your love, I'm just a human, I'm not as important, not as beautiful as you, I feel like I'm in a dream, but this is wrong..." you looked away feeling the tears wet your face, but Thranduil didn't let your cruel words get to him, he lifted you up and pulled you back into his lap, leaning your back against the cold wall of the window, he trapped you, creating a cage with his arms.
"Oh (Y/n), my sweet (Y/n), can't you see the beauty that radiates from you? How perfect you are, how mad you make me that I can't possess you here and now? Do you think I never noticed your feelings? That I've never caught myself thinking about you, and that with every letter I read about you, I find myself feeling a sensation I haven't had for centuries? Why so much hatred... why so much repulsion, when you are by far the most beautiful creature I have ever had the pleasure of seeing, if I could I would wrap you in my arms for all eternity, feeling your warmth on my skin, feeling your lips on mine, how can you say that your body is not worthy of my love, when it is I who am not worthy of having you? " you looked at him confused and amazed, he already knew of your feelings, and knew he reciprocated them, he needed you and you needed him, but none of this seemed real, still with his gaze fixed on yours, his hand wrapped around your face wiping away every tear that dared to fall. "bereth nin, you are everything to me... let me love you... let me take care of you..." he stood up and knelt in front of you letting his head fall into your lap, Seeing him vulnerable, begging for his love to be accepted by you, made all the insecurities vanish, all the fears, you just wanted to be with him, to feel that you were loved and to feel that however insecure you were, you had him to remind you what a goddess you were.
Still trembling, you caressed him giving him premission, for everything, feeling his look facing yours again, the words you spoke, were the last drop of sanity of the elf in front of you "Gi melin Thranduil" in a quick gesture he took your body in his lap and took you to the sofa in front of the fireplace, depositing you there, walking to the door of the library, locking it.
Walking back to you, Thranduil lay down on the sofa pulling you with him, his lips explored every corner of you, marks were deposited on your neck, words of comfort filled the room... "I will worship you as the goddess you are, Bereth nin" wrapping you in his arms once more, kissing your lips and your face, until the rain and the night enveloped you, feeling his touch, caressing every insecurity in your body, "Bereth nin" he called you, his queen... could you really believe in that dream?
The next morning you woke up a bit confused, you remembered a wonderful dream, you smiled thinking how cruel your mind was, but something attracted your attention, when you looked to the side, you saw the body of Thranduil, the elf king of Mirkwood, wrapped in yours, his eyes still closed, his hair shining with the sun rays that came in through the window beside you, for seconds you didn't believe it, taking your hand to his face, almost as if to prove that your brain was deceiving you.
"You know it's rude to watch someone sleep, Bereth nin" the elf's husky voice echoed to your ears, a little startled, and embarrassed you turned your body letting him stare at your back, you felt his delicate hand exploring the side of your body, until it reached your hair, brushing it back, kissing your shoulder and with a whisper destroying you even more.
"Don't tease me, my sweet (Y/n) or I won't be able to control myself... we better get going, if they find out we slept here, I know someone who could be upset with both of us" he said gruffly with his hand resting on your waist.
You both got up and as you walked towards the window, watching the orange and brown leaves of the trees adorning the ground, and the bright orange sunrise over the mountains, Thranduil, walked over to you, lifting your face and placing a quick but passionate kiss on your lips, embarrassed, you laughed a little "Soon leave the door of your room open my love... I will come visit you and we can continue what we didn't finish yesterday" he said before walking away, leaving you panting and smiling, fantasizing about your future with him.

Wonderland: Kili x Reader Chap. 3
MASTERLIST
Kili x Reader
Slight Legolas x Reader
----
Y/n was sitting between Gandalf and Bilbo, and opposite her was Thorin, with Lord Elrond at the head.
Even though she had seen Lord Elrond on the screen, it did not compare to what sitting in his presence was like - he was as noble and as fair in face as an elf-lord, as strong as a warrior, as wise as a wizard, as venerable as a king of dwarves, and as kind as summer. He was almost as warm and welcoming as Gandalf was.
On the next table over, sat the rest of the company, who were trying to eavesdrop on the conversation. Y/n managed to briefly greet each member of the Company (Bombur gave her a slice of cheese as a ‘hello’ and Kili knocked over a chair whilst bowing), but she was promptly ushered to sit by Lord Elrond and Thorin.
“Tell me, Lady Y/n, what is your weapon of choice? Axe or sword?” Thorin asked, making Y/n shuffle in her seat.
For a large part of the meal, Thorin had been grilling her with questions - much to the dismay of Gandalf. Gandalf had only explained a small amount of Y/n’s situation to the dwarves, though he hadn’t gone into depth. Though at this point, Y/n was still trying to figure out if this was all real.
“I, um...in my world we don’t use weapons like that anymore,” Y/n said and awkwardly chased a piece of carrot on her plate with her fork. She didn’t dare meet Thorin’s judging eyes.
“The wild is no place for gentlefolk who cannot fend or fight for themselves, Gandalf,” Thorin said, boring his eyes into Y/n.
A silence fell upon the table as everyone stared at Y/n. Thorin did have a point - she couldn’t fight or fend for herself. She would be a burden on the group.
For the first time the whole evening, Bilbo piped up.
“I can’t fight or survive out in the wilderness, yet you gave me a chance. And as Lady Y/n is not from this world, she may possess other skills that we have not yet discovered.” Bilbo said, folding his arms in an attempt to look stern. "Plus, I would like a companion more like myself."
“I must agree with Master Bilbo here, Thorin. Y/n has ended up in this land with no idea or explanation of how. There must be a reason for that, so I must ask that you reconsider. As Bilbo just said, she could possess helpful skills.” Gandalf said, placing a hand on Y/n’s shoulder.
Y/n watched apprehensively as Thorin pondered over Gandalf’s and Bilbo’s words with a rather menacing expression. What was she going to do if she wasn’t accepted into the Company? Would Gandalf just leave her in Rivendell to live out her human years amongst the elves?
Or would Elrond kick her out and make her fend for herself in the wild? Would she ever get to see her sister again? But then again, was this even real?
“Alright. She may join us.” Thorin said and Y/n ‘s shoulders instantly relaxed. “But I will not be responsible for your fate, do you understand, Y/n?”
“Yes, I understand. I’ll try to help as much as I can.” Y/n said though she could see that Thorin was still not entirely convinced.
“Well, that’s sorted then,” Gandalf said brightly, turning to face the dwarves on the other table. “Lady Y/n has now become the newest member of the Company!”
---
When Y/n had gotten back to her room, she had found her bag sitting on her bed. Her clothes were mended and lay in a neat pile beside her bag, which she found to be filled with food and provisions - light to carry but strong to bring her over the mountain passes she was soon to endure.
The elves must have packed for her. Just as she was going to take a look at the bookshelf beside her bed, she noticed a little wooden figure sitting on her nightstand.
It was her Loki sculpture.
“Loki likes to create chaos. Make sure he doesn't pull you into one of his plans of mischief.”
Floki’s words rang through her head as she picked the tiny pocket-sized God up and turned it over to inspect it.
Did this statue have something to do with her ending up in Middle-Earth? No, it couldn’t have, it was probably just a coincidence that she bought it on the same night she woke up there. Right? And as another thought, where did that ring disappear to
Y/n placed the Loki sculpture down and rummaged through her belongings for the ring, but it was nowhere to be found. Frowning, Y/n placed her bag on the ground and lay down on her bed. For some reason, she couldn’t get the thought of the ring out of her head.
--
It was nearing nine o’clock when a knock sounded on Y/n’s door. Y/n wondered who it could be because the dwarves were feasting down at the terrace on the food that they had stolen from the kitchens. She opened the door, revealing the grey wizard.
“Good evening, Lady Y/n,” Gandalf said. “I hope I am not disturbing you?”
“You’re not disturbing me, don’t worry. Is there something I can help you with?” Y/n asked.
“As a matter of fact, there is something you can help me with. As we have gone over, you may possess skills that we do not know about yet.” Gandalf said, motioning his hand for Y/n to follow him before walking away.
Y/n stood there for a moment, wondering what on earth she could help him with before closing the door and hurrying down immaculately carved stone steps to catch up to him.
“And what do you think I can help with?” Y/n asked, finding it difficult to keep up with the wizards' long strides.
“Thorin gave the map to the Lonely Mountain to Lord Elrond to read. Only, Lord Elrond has long forgotten the Ancient Dwarvish language. I want you to have a look to see if you can understand it.” Gandalf said after a long while of striding through the never-ending hallways of Elrond's house.
“Ancient Dwarvish? Gandalf, I can only speak English!” Y/n said, panicking. How did he expect her to read a language not even Lord Elrond could understand? “And a little Icelandic, but not Ancient Dwarvish.”
Despite her numerous protests, Gandalf did not reply. He only led her up a staircase and through a set of stone doors that opened up into the night.
Y/n was standing in an opening of a cave mouth that looked out into the starry night. A waterfall gushed from the opening and crashed into the valley that lay hundreds of miles below them. Y/n’s stomach dropped as she looked over the sheer edge that plummeted down into the dark lands below.
“Did I ever tell you that I am not good with heights?” Y/n said to Gandalf, who only laughed and ushered her towards Lord Elrond, Thorin and Balin, who were huddled over the map that lay on a stone slab under the bright moonlight.
“Ah, Gandalf and Lady Y/n,” Lord Elrond said, looking up from the map. Thorin’s frown only deepened when his eyes landed on Y/n, but Balin gave her a friendly smile.
“Have you gotten any further with the map?” Gandalf asked. Y/n only prayed that Elrond had managed to read the contents of the map. Otherwise, she would have to disappoint Thorin even further by not being able to read Ancient Dwarvish - that she was certain of.
“Only that it has been written in moon runes,” Elrond said, then he noticed Y/n’s confusion. “It means you can only read the runes under the same light and season of the same moon they were written under. Though I can no longer read ancient dwarvish.”
“That is exactly why I brought Lady Y/n,” Gandalf said, pushing Y/n forward against her will.
“You failed to mention that you understand Ancient Dwarvish runes,” Thorin said with a hint of disdain in his voice.
“I can’t, but Gandalf wants me to-”
“I want her to try to read the map. She has been brought to this world for a reason, so she may know more than she thinks.” Gandalf cut in, practically hauling Y/n over to the map at that point.
“I don’t see any harm in the lassie giving it a go,” Balin said, giving Y/n a friendly pat.
“Okay, but don’t be disappointed when I can’t read it,” Y/n muttered and leaned over the map. There was black ink etched into the fabric, forming the swells of hills and the jagged points of mountains.
In the centre, there was a solitary point labelled ‘The Lonely Mountain’ and it had a red dragon sketched above it. Y/n’s eyes trailed down to the scribbles of glowing blue moon runes at the bottom of the page. At first, they seemed like a random assortment of lines and dashes, but the closer Y/n inspected, the more they made sense.
“Hold on a moment!” Y/n said and leaned closer. “This looks like Old Norse, which is very similar to Icelandic.”
“Can you read it?” Thorin stepped forward with a desperate look in his eye. Y/n bit her lip and tried to recall what her sister had taught her.
“I’ll try.” Y/n traced her finger over the map, formulating the ancient runes into words as she went. “Stand by the... grey stone when the Thrush knocks, in the setting sun... of the last light of...Durin's Day...the light shines upon the...keyhole.”
Y/n came to a stop, not only amazing herself, but the others around her. Why on earth was Ancient Dwarvish the same as Old Norse?
"That is very curious that you can read the map, Y/n," Gandalf said with a twinkle in his bright blue eyes.
"Indeed, it is remarkable that you can read Ancient Dwarvish." Lord Elrond said, but Bilbo looked rather confused.
"What's Durin's Day?" The Hobbit asked.
"It is a mark on the Dwarvish calendar. It is when the last moon of Autumn and the first sun of Winter appear in the sky at the exact same time." Balin said, but Thorin shook his head.
"This is old news." Thorin muttered, snatching the map from Y/n's hands. "Autumn is already passing."
"We still have time. But we have to be in exactly the right place at exactly the right time." Balin said.
"So, you are trying to reclaim Erebor." Lord Elrond said with a stony face.
"What of it?" Thorin growled, scowling at the elf.
"There are some who would advise against it." Elrond then turned to Gandalf. "The white council has arrived to discuss some...matters. We shouldn't keep them waiting."
"Well, alright," Gandalf said, looking slightly perturbed that the White Council were present in Rivendell, though Y/n supposed he thought he could get away with sneaking a horde of dwarves across the country without getting caught. But then again, they were probably going to discuss her situation as well.
"I think it's time that Lady Y/n met the rest of the Company properly. We will look after her, Gandalf." Balin said, taking Y/n by the arm, much to the disapproval of Thorin. Y/n couldn't help but like Balin - he reminded her of her grandpa back home.
---
Y/n could hear the faint cries of laughter from the dwarves as Balin led her to their sleeping area. Thorin had decided to have a look around Rivendell, though Y/n suspected that he just wanted to get away from her.
"Don't worry lassie, he will warm up to you eventually. He is just protective of his friends and family." Balin said gently, watching the expression on Y/n's face.
"Yeah, I hope so," Y/n replied, just as Balin opened the door to a large room with a crackling fire and many hungry dwarves and one hobbit who were feasting on stolen food.
"Ah! We get to meet the girl properly at last!" Bofur clapped his hands and before long, the dwarves descended on Y/n with an avalanche of questions.
"Where are you from?"
"How did you get here?
"Do you have any magic powers?"
"Do you have any more food?"
Despite the utter chaos and swarm of questions, Balin managed to bring some order to the excitable group.
"Okay, okay, don't bombard the poor girl. At least give her a seat first," Balin said, and instantly all the dwarves began motioning for Y/n to sit beside them.
To say she was overwhelmed would be an understatement - no one had ever found her that interesting before. She scanned the room and decided to take a seat next to Kili, a young and handsome dwarf who was sitting beside the fire. Kili looked rather triumphant because Y/n chose to sit beside him.
"Gandalf said that you were not from this world. Is that true?" Gloin, a fiery-haired dwarf asked.
"Yeah...I am from a place called Earth. It's very different from here." Y/n said, watching as they munched on their food and listened to her speak.
"How did you get here?" Bilbo asked, passing Y/n a bowl of chicken soup, which she greatly thanked him for - the elvish diet of lettuce leaves did nothing to fight off her horrendous hunger pangs.
"I'm not entirely sure. I went for a walk, got lured into a cave and then boom, I woke up here with absolutely no explanation." Y/n said.
"That's very odd," Bofur said.
"Aye! Well, welcome to the Company of Thorin Oakenshield anyway!" Fili said with a cheer. Though she had only given very little detail, the dwarves seemed content with her answers and went back to whatever they were doing before she arrived.
Well, all except one. Kili was still fascinated by Y/n's tale and wanted to know more.
"What is your world like, Y/n?" Kili asked, making Y/n turn to face him. Though she was relieved that the others had turned their attention away from her, a new nervousness took over because Kili had his complete attention on her.
"Well, there is no magic, that is for sure. No wizards, hobbits, dwarves or elves, only humans." Y/n said, feeling her cheeks begin to burn as he stared at her intently with those dark eyes.
"How strange. Do you have a family?" He asked.
"Yeah, actually. I have my sister Molly, my mum and my dad." Y/n said with a fond smile. She had already begun to miss them terribly. She wondered if they were looking for her - calling a search party perhaps.
"I'm sure you will see them again." Kill said, as if he were reading Y/n's thoughts. "But in the meantime, I sure would like to learn more about your world."
"I'd be happy to tell you about it," Y/n said, and couldn't help but share Kili's goofy smile.
Maybe this wouldn't be so bad after all...

Hey! Can I get a Thorin x f!reader where the company doesn’t believe in her because of her size and the fact that she’s a woman and then she totally kicks ass and doesn’t care what they think. And he totally regrets ever doubting her? Fluff ending if you can please!!
You Saved Me
Thorin x Warrior!reader
WC: ~3k
warnings: violence, death, it's essentially a botfa re-write so...
a/n: thank you for the request, this was entirely written in a burst of passion at midnight so if they're are any typos I'm sorry, let me know and I'll fix them <3
You were a feared warrior, one with skills you’d been honing since you could walk. Your parents had been killed by an orc pack when you were but a baby and you were taken in by the rangers who found you crying by the bodies of your loved ones. Almost a year ago you were sent a letter by that blasted grey wizard, an invitation, or maybe a plea you weren't sure anymore. Join a company of dwarves on their quest, and keep them safe. That is all he asked of you.
You had tried, you really had tried to keep them safe but when those blasted dwarves took one look at you and decided that there wasn't any possible way you knew anything about fighting, it became difficult. You had several moments where all you wanted to do was clobber them over the head, but you refrained.
The whole journey was wrought with their endless need to remind you that you were a woman, a bigger one at that. They must’ve thought you hadn’t noticed or something of that nature, for surely they wouldn’t keep bringing it up if not to hurt you on purpose. They never forgot to tell you how much they thought you were soft, incapable, fragile.
You’d shown them time and time again that this wasn't the case, incapacitating two of the trolls when they were all tied up in sacks ready to be cooked for dinner. You were defending Ori when you were discovered by the warg scouts before your arrival at Rivendell. You were the first to join ranks and fend off the hundreds of bloodthirsty goblins in Goblin-town. Not to mention how you risked your life for Thorin’s when Azog attacked. You had run in with no weapon, just pure adrenaline and a need to save your leader. Not that you would ever tell him that. Tell any of them that.
Thorin was certainly one of a kind. He was undoubtedly cold, it was his nature, he had lost too much in too short a time to be willing to open himself up to others. Especially when the ‘others’ consisted of a woman ranger he hadn’t wanted on the quest in the first place. You understood though, you too had lost too much.
You wouldn't say that he warmed up to you, but it didn’t seem like he hated you as much as he did in the beginning. You had even caught him smiling once or twice when you cuffed Fili and Kili over the head at their cheeky remarks about your size.
Over and over again you’ve defended these idiotic men, and yet nothing changed, they still had no faith. Most of them treated you horribly not that you think they noticed. It was hard to ignore their callousness when it came to you, especially compared to the warmth they shared with one another. There were several nights when their words became too much and you had to stray from camp in order to let the tears fall out of sight. But you had promised Gandalf that you would protect them, and if that meant staying even when it was obvious you weren't wanted, then that is what you’d do.
It wasn’t until Thorin, overtaken with his dragon sickness had cast you out that you had finally decided you were done. Done with dwarves, done with being underestimated and belittled at every moment.
“You will never be good enough, you are a burden to all those around you, a burden I no longer wish to be saddled with!” He had yelled from his position on the ramparts as you descended from the same rope that the hobbit had used just moments before.
Thorin had never been cruel, aloof maybe, but never cruel. You knew deep down that it was his addled mind that allowed this cruelty to spew from his mouth. Thorin may not have known you loved him, but you had thought the two of you had reached a sort of understanding, a mutual bond forged by the danger you’d overcome together. Apparently not.
You joined Gandalf’s side as he spoke to Thorin. You bit your tongue to stop yourself from yelling back at the King Under the Mountain. It wasn't until you heard Thorin’s reply that you couldn’t hold yourself back anymore.
“I will have war!” He yelled.
“You will have death!” You had screamed back “You will have death for you and your kin if you do not stop this foolishness Oakenshield!” With that, you turned and headed back towards the gates of Dale. If there really was to be a war you would be needed, to protect those who could not protect themselves.
You heard the horns of war in the distance and shook your head. Foolish dwarves doing foolish things. You kept running towards Dale hoping to be of some use.
Arriving at the old armory, you pulled out an old steel sword, one dating back to before the fall of the city. It wasn’t as good as the eleven blades that the elves of Mirkwood confiscated when you were captured, but it was well-balanced. The hilt was wrapped in old black leather, well worn and rough against your skin.
You didn’t have time to sift for a better weapon, so you took the sword and ran. Bursting out onto the street your eyes scanned for danger. You took in all the rubble, some new and some old from the dragon attack years ago. The screaming of a group of people made you cease your reminiscing and run towards them.
Taking down several enemies as you run, you finally round the corner into the main square. Landing your sight on Bain, Sigrid, and Tilda. Bain doing his very best to defend his sisters. You run forward without hesitation and trade blows with the monster in front of you, taking him down in no time at all.
“Are you all alright?” You ask rushing towards the girls and helping them down from the cart they had used as a hiding spot.
“We’re fine ma’am” Tilda responds in a shaky voice
“You all were very brave, but now it's time to head to the hall where everyone else is. Take cover, the battlefield is not safe for children I assure you.”
“But-” Bain had cut in.
“No, Bain, I know what your Da has asked of you but I’m telling you to take cover.”
He hesitated but nodded and took his sisters towards the main hall where the rest of the women and children were hiding.
You continue to take down the orcs and their armies as you run toward the main battlefield.
“Y/N! Y/N!” You hear your name being called, rotating quickly your eyes fall on the hobbit who had become very dear to you over the course of the Journey.
“Bilbo, are you hurt? What’s wrong?” You rushed out
“No. No, I’m fine it’s Thorin.”
“Thorin? What’s happened with Thorin where is he?” Your questioning picked up in intensity.
“The Pale Orc is atop Ravenhill, and Thorin, Dwalin, Fili, and Kili have all gone to kill him.” The Hobbit responded just as rushed.
Without another word, you grab the back of the Hobbit’s coat and drag him behind you. Your eyes quickly scan the horizon, taking inventory of anything that could get you to the top of the Mountain quickly. You spot Lord Dain, on his royal ram, and make a plan in your head.
Hobbit still in your grasp you sprint across the field towards the Dwarf Lord,
“Lord Dain! I need your ram.”
“W-What?!” He sputters.
“I am not asking.” You huff out a frustrated breath and use the hand not currently gripping your friend to shove the dwarf off of his steed, quickly taking his place and beginning your trek to the mountain. Sending a quick prayer to whatever being there might be to keep your love safe. Just long enough for you to kill him yourself.
Once you are sure he won’t fall off you let go of your hold on Bilbo and scan the ground flying past you for any more weapons you could use.
Seeing a discarded elven bow and quiver ahead of you, you steer the ram towards it and scoop it off the ground and into your grasp. Five Arrows, you’ll have to use them wisely, but it’s better than nothing.
You look towards Ravenhill, watching as the dwarves you have reluctantly come to care for dismount their own steed. Pushing your heels into the sides of your own ram you pray to any gods out there that you’ll make it in time.
You meet a few obstacles on your journey, the occasional orc arrow to be deflected, and even a troll who had fallen right in front of you. Nevertheless, in no time at all you reach the peak and search for the men you came to aid.
You only see Thorin and Dwalin as they fight their way through hordes of creatures of the dark. You leap into the fray and call out to the two warriors
“Where are the princes?”
“They’ve gone to search the structure.”
A yell coming from the tower quickly puts that thought to rest. You slash down the last monster before you quickly shift to see a sight that you’ll have a hard time forgetting. The pale orc holds Fili in his grasp. You immediately grasp your bow and nock an arrow.
The pale orc is too absorbed in his victory speech to notice you pulling back the string. With a deep breath, you let an arrow loose and send a quick prayer that it hits its target. Not a second later you hear a deep grunt and see that your aim is true. The arrow lodged itself deep into the meat of the arm holding the dwarf prince. He drops Fili in surprise and your eyes widen in fear. However, it is short-lived as Fili pulls a dagger out of nowhere and wedges into the stone of the tower, slowing his descent.
Four arrows left.
Azog staggers back and he catches himself on the wall behind him. His eyes find yours and you try not to shudder at the rage within him. This is a benefit you tell yourself. An angry enemy is a distracted enemy. His rage will be his downfall, you’ll make sure of it.
Fili lets go of the dagger and drops the rest of the distance, landing on his feet and quickly running to your side. Moments later, Kili runs from the tower and practically lunges for his brother.
“You idiot Fee.” The brother's embrace is hard and you’re a little worried they’ll suffocate each other. Eventually, Kili lets go and turns to you, “Thank you. And I’m sorry.”
“No need for apologies Kili. Gandalf asked me to protect you, and that’s what I’ve done.”
“Still, I underestimated you, I won’t do it again.” You nod at the prince and clap a hand on his shoulder.
“I have to go help your uncle, don’t follow me, and whatever you do don’t split up. You’re stronger together.”
“Aye.” They both reply and send a single nod your way.
You clutch your bow and scan your surroundings, a trail of black blood and a broken arrow stem point the way to the Pale Orc’s location.
“Fili, you wouldn’t happen to have an extra dagger would you?” You turn and ask. He smirks and opens his coat.
“Take your pick Lass.”
After grabbing two matching daggers from Fili you begin jogging towards the frozen waterfall. You are single-minded in your task, ignoring the shouts of battle from below and the wails of the dying. You cannot let yourself get distracted. Distraction means death and you can’t help anyone when you’re dead.
You come upon a scene that you’d only ever had nightmares about. Thorin and Azog facing off on a barren plane. Neither is holding back and you force yourself to push past the terror that grips your heart. As you run towards your king you begin releasing arrows one after the other.
Four. Three. Two. One. None.
Each arrow pierces the flesh of the monster pushing him back and back. Blow after blow sends him staggering and gives Thorin the advantage. He swings his sword and slashes at the beast. But Azog does not fall.
He yells. He stands and he starts returning blows. They are sloppy, his mace has no aim. It doesn’t need to, the force he puts behind it means he really only has to land one blow.
You can’t run fast enough to cover the distance, especially not on the ice. Nevertheless, you keep pushing. Your legs burn and so do your lungs but you keep going. You race against time and fate to reach the dwarf you love.
Thorin falls. The orc closes in. You run.
And run, and run, and run.
You don’t notice the battle cry that rips from your body, but the orc does.
He looks up and a sneer crosses his face.
You get closer.
You pull your daggers.
The orc stands.
You take a running jump.
Azog runs.
You smile.
This is foolish. You understand that, not even you as skilled as you are could take down a beast such as this. But you’ll try because you made two promises. One to Gandalf, that you would keep the company safe. And another to yourself, that if you survived this you would stop being afraid, you would tell Thorin you love him and…
Your daggers land in the Pale Orc’s shoulder blades. You hold on for dear life. His roar of pain nearly deafens you but you hold on still. Ripping one blade from his body you jab it at his neck. He grabs the back of your coat and pulls you away, you scratch him but nothing more. He lifts you into the air and looks into your eyes. The rage is still there, along with smugness, bloodlust, curiosity, and then - shock. His grip loosens and you fall to the ground.
You scramble away from him, grasping the ice with shaking hands. You stand and turn. Azog is still, frozen in time. Except now, there is a sword piercing his chest. Right where his heart should be, protrudes a sword you know very well.
Azog grips the blade and looks at you, then falls. He doesn’t get up.
Behind him stands Thorin, looking mightier than you’ve ever seen him. His hair is a mess and there is blood on his face and hands. Yet he’s never looked better. You run towards him and throw yourself into his arms. A laugh escapes you and you let yourself feel for a moment. Feel grateful, and scared and everything you’ve been holding back for the past few days.
Thorin’s grip on you is strong and you can feel the tremor in his hands as he guides them up and down your back.
“You saved me.” His deep timber pulls you from your thoughts. “Why?”
“I made a promise to Gan-”
“No, you fulfilled your pledge to the Wizard the moment we made it to the mountain, yet you stayed. Why?” Thorin pulls his chest away from yours and attempts to catch your gaze with his.
“Is this really the time?” You ask.
“When else?” He cocks his head to the side.
“Perhaps after the battle is over?” You fully pull away from him then.
Thorin pauses, perhaps like you, he had briefly forgotten the battle warring on below you in a moment of joy. But he nods to you and walks back toward the lifeless body of your foe. He rips his sword out of the body. He flips Azog onto his back so his lifeless eyes gaze emptily at the sky. Thorin turns to you, “Perhaps you should look away.” he addresses you.
You simply raise an eyebrow at him. He nods and grasps the sword firmly. From one moment to the next Thorin separates Azog’s head from his body. He takes hold of it and walks towards the edge of the frozen lake, which looks out onto the field below.
He lets out a mighty shout and hoists the fallen orc’s head into the air. Shrieks echo from below and the enemy begins to retreat.
You’ve won.
Thorin drops his head and turns to face you, a rare smile graces his face and for the first time since you met him, it truly seems like the weight of the world has been lifted from his shoulders, for at least a moment.
It takes you three seconds to get in front of him, one second to grab ahold of his head, and another to kiss him. Five seconds, five seconds of bravery that you will probably never be able to muster again.
Thorin kisses you back with fervor, gripping you as through he thought you might fade away. Eventually, the need for air separates you.
“That is why I saved you,” you whisper into the space between you, “because a life without you in it is one I do not wish to bear.”
“You’ll never have to.” is his reply before his mouth is on you again. Where the first kiss was full of passion, a burst of adrenaline between two people. This one is slow, like Thorin is savoring the moment like he is trying to memorize what it is like to have you. The moment is bliss, it's everything you wanted and thought you couldn’t have.
And then it is ruined. A sharp whistle and laugh from across the lake separates the two of you once more. You turn and see Fili and Kili, holding each other and worse for wear but alive and smiling which you’ll take as a win.
The boys make their way towards you, Thorin never releases his hold on your waist.
“Is it over?” Fili asks.
‘It is now.” Thorin responds.
“Now what?” Kili pops up. Scanning the area around him.
‘We live.” Is your simple reply. Like Kili, you take a moment to look around you. And you really like what you see.

Dwarven Desire: Chapter One: Dragon Queen
Many, many years ago a little dwarfling with hair as dark as the dark obsidian and eyes like bright sapphires sat in his mother's lap.
Those blue eyes were wide and full of wonder as he stared at Princess Dara.
“Mummy, would you tell me a story?” the dwarfling asked.
Dara had smiled and ticked the edges of his face where his sideburns were.
He was so young that his prized Dwarven beard had not yet begun to grow.
The little dwarfling giggled and Princess Dara smiled at her son, “Who does mummy love , Thorin?” she asked him.
“Me!” the little dwarfling cheered.
Princess Dara laughed and gathered the little dwarfling in her arms for a hug, “Alright, Thorin. Go and get us a book.”
Little Thorin raced away to the other side of the room to fetch a book for his mother to read him when his father came in.
Prince Thrain loved his son but he had never been very accustomed to children.
Thorin turned his big blue eyes on his father, “Da!”
Thrain patted Thorin’s head but said nothing else and went about his business.
Thorin, who was quite used to this turned to the bookshelf, to retrieve a book.
“Mummy, can we read about dragons?” the dwarfling asked.
“If you wish.” Princess Dara replied but Thrain snorted.
“Dragons.” he scoffed. “Why would you want to read to him about those slithering serpents? Disgusting, awful, selfish creatures…”
Princess Dara watched with a frown as Thrain left the room to go about his business.
Little Thorin looked to his mother expectantly as she rose from her chair and crossed the room to him.
“Not all dragons are bad, Thorin.” she said and he watched her slender fingers pulled a new book from the shelf.
“They’re not?” he asked following her back to the chair before immediately climbing into her lap.
“No.” she said flipping through the pages of the book until she found the story she wanted.
Little Thorin gasped and his tiny hands splayed out across the book in surprise.
“A girl dragon!” he said. “Mummy! A girl dragon!”
“Yes, Thorin. Isn’t she pretty?” Princess Dara asked.
“Very, very pretty, mommy.” he said examining this dragon.
She was beautiful with all different colors and sparkling gold eyes.
“Would you like to hear about her?” Princess Dara asked, already knowing the answer.
“Yes, mummy. Please. I would.” Thorin said trying his very best to be polite and still.
“There once was a dragon.” Princess Dara began, “Fierce and beautiful, she was.
She lived deep in the jungles of the elves from the far, far east.
She was worshipped as their fire goddess who warmed them at night and protected them instead of using her fire to burn them like other dragons did.
The great Jezguli, fire drake of the east.
Her beauty was unrivaled.
Her scales glittered upon her great body in thousands of different colors….like gems and jewels winking in the light.
Her eyes were great amber orbs brighter and more beautiful than all the gold in the world.
The people loved her.
They adored her and forged great pieces of jewelry for her to wear as a symbol of their respect.
News spread of the generous and kind fire drake.
Most believed it to be myth.
But then something great and terrible came.
Smaug.
A terribly awful red dragon.
Possessive and evil he was.
He flew into the jungles and to the top of a mountain before he opened his terrible jaws and let loose a horrible fire.
The mountain ignited and angry red flowing fire oozed from it engulfing the village.
Jezguli was heartbroken and furious.
How dare he hurt her people!
She attacked the red dragon who laughed.
“They are only elves.” he had said. “Why do you care? They do not deserve your beauty. I know how to treat treasure. Let them burn.”
But Jezguli was not like Smaug and she wept for her people.
She fought Smaug until he fled.
As she heard her people’s screams she could not bare it anymore.
So she flew into the mountain and sacrificed herself to stop the burning.
A great and powerful flash was seen in the sky and the eruption stopped.
The mountain hardened again but the deep red still flowed beneath the ground heating it and the water so that her children would still be warm at night.
Homage was paid to her once every month for many years.
Soon it became tradition.
Tradition became legend.
Legend became myth.
But she was never forgotten.
The people say that sometimes they see a lone dark elf deep within the jungles riding a mighty black cat as large as a horse.
With bow on her back, whip by her side and dagger in her hand she guards the people.
Some say it is Jezguli reincarnated to seek her revenge on Smaug.
Some say she is just a bedtime story.
What do you believe, Thorin?”
Thorin’s blue eyes were as wide as plates as he looked at the rainbow dragon in the book and then at the dark elf riding a large black cat.
“I think she still lives.” Thorin said. “Right, mommy?”
Princess Dara smiled at her son, “I don’t know, Thorin, but someday you’ll be big and strong and I’m sure very adventurous. You might meet her one day.”
“Yes, mommy.” he said looking back to pages. “Could I have this book? I want to put it by my bed. Jezguli is very pretty. I want to look at her.”
Princess Dara smiled and picked up Thorin and carried him to his room.
She opened the book back up to the correct pages and placed it on the table beside Thorin’s bed.
The dwarfling ran his little fingers over the pages.
“Mommy?”
Princess Dara looked down at her son.
“I like treasure too.” he said. “Do you think Jezguli would marry me one day?”
Princess Dara’s eyebrows shot up.
She had not expected that.
“Perhaps she might, Thorin.” she said. “If your heart is true enough.”
Little Thorin gave a determined nod that made his mother smirk just a little bit.
“I could braid her hair and put beads in it. We could ride her kitty cat through the jungle and shoot arrows together, mommy. Don’t you think she would be a pretty princess?” Thorin asked tiredly nodding.
Princess Dara smiled and almost laughed a little a her son’s obvious crush.
“That sounds nice, Thorin. Perhaps one day you’ll bring her to Erebor and she’ll be your Queen.” Princess Dara said.
“Yeah.” sighed a sleepy little Thorin. “I’ll be King Thorin and she’ll be Queen Jezguli. Dragon Queen.”
Thorin’s blue eyes closed and his breathing deepened and when Princess Dara knew he was asleep she let herself out of his room with a chuckle.
Thorin had the wildest ideas sometimes but she treasured those moments for he was still young and pure.
He had not learned the ways of the world to taint his heart.
He still believed in everyone and she hoped that at least part of that would always stay with him.
Next Chapter!
Hey, smooochies! I hope you enjoy the revamp of one of my favorite old stories!! I'm so excited to bring Jezguli onto Tumblr since she is so close to my heart! Give Us A Song - Thorin’s Company
Warnings: None, just some platonic fluff with the whole gang
Words: 1,038
Pairings: None. Thorin’s Company x Reader (platonic)
(A/N: Kinda a song fic, if you count a lil’ bop from Frozen 2 lmao.)
(Song: All Is Found by Evan Rachel Wood from Frozen 2.)
_______________
As the company settled down in their little campsite for the night, Bofur heaved out a sigh.
“Are you alright, Master Bofur?” You spoke in a gently voice, concerned for the dwarf.
He turned to face you, sitting up that tad bit straighter. “Aye lass, I’m fine. Just a bit too quiet for my liking.”
“Why don’t you sing to us tonight? We know your singing isn’t THAT terrible.” You teased as you gave him your suggestion.
“I think the others have had quite enough of my singing, my lady.” He quipped as a playful smile resided on his face.
“Why don’t you sing to us lass?” Balin asked from his place across the fire.
You turned your attention towards the kind old dwarf and shook your head with a smile. “No, no, I’m quite certain the companies’ ears while be bled dry by the time I would finish any song I would sing.”
“Oh, c’mon Y/N, give us a song.” Fíli and Kíli spoke at once, almost in a whining manner, making you chuckle.
You closed your eyes and took a quick, deep breath before sighing and giving in to your companions’ request. “Fine. What would you all have me sing?”
“Maybe you should sing something that holds a deep meaning to you, my dear.” Gandalf spoke, holding his pipe that emitted smoke from both ends.
You smiled softly, knowing what song would be sung by you. “Okay. Although, I’m not certain that you may like it.” You gave faux warning as you flashed them a playful smile before it softened. “It will be a song from my people, from the enchanted forest that I came from.”
“We’re sure it will be great regardless of its’ origin.” “Bilbo smiled from his place beside you.
With that, you nodded and turned to look into the fire, beginning the sweet song your mother once sang for you as a child.
‘Where the north wind meets the sea,
There's a river full of memory.
Sleep, my darling, safe and sound,
For in this river all is found.’
They gaped at you in awe as your silken smooth voice carried throughout their small campsite, not one of them daring to make a single sound for they fear they would disturb the beauty they hear.
Images of your mother cradling your child sized body to hers in your body as she sang and combed her fingers through your hair. You smiled at the memory as the song continued its course past your lips.
‘In her waters, deep and true,
Lie the answers and a path for you.
Dive down deep into her sound,
But not too far or you'll be drowned.’
The usual brooding Durin heir had even set aside his stoic expression listening to the sweet sound of your voice. His shoulders slumped as he began to allow himself to relax. Balin had smiled as he noticed the change within Thorins usual tense stature.
Everyone was entranced by your song, not daring to look away as they somehow thought that will make them miss your melodic tune.
The tune so sweet, it neared the others to sleep, your voice lulling them by the second, although they refuse to give in.
‘Yes, she will sing to those who'll hear,
And in her song, all magic flows.
But can you brave what you most fear?
Can you face what the river knows?’
You though about the powers you possess, not differing much to Gandalf’s. Yours being more spiritual rather than the practical magic he produces alongside his knowledge, wit and charm. You revelled as you felt the similar sensation send a shiver down your spine.
‘Where the north wind meets the sea,
There's a mother full of memory.
Come, my darling, homeward bound,
When all is lost, then all is found.’
You hadn’t even realised that you closed your eyes during the final verse for as you noticed an orange glow shine that little bit dimmer. You opened your eyes slowly to be met with the company staring at you. You blushed from the number of eyes set upon your form.
“Wow…” Ori breathed out, followed by nods of agreement from Nori and Dori.
“That was amazing lass.”
“Beautiful.”
The compliments had continued to flow, forcing you to look down bashfully, a red as deep as the centre of the burning embers sat before you. “You’re all too kind.”
“I believe that it will be many years before that song you’ve sung for us tonight will leave my mind.” Thorin spoke, his usually icy, distant demeanour nowhere in sight, only a genuine smile upon his face.
You smiled and gave a curt nod to the dwarf.
“I think I’m going to sleep. Goodnight all.” Bilbo turned to head to his bedroll but spared a final glace over to you. “I hope we hear more songs from you along the way.”
Gandalf stood from his position against the base of the large tree. “I think we should follow Mister Baggings’ example and head to sleep.”
The others grunted and nodded in agreement, though their grunts had somehow sounded more cheerful. The thought alone made you giggle quietly to yourself. “I’ll take first watch.” You volunteered yourself happily, in a chipper mood from how calm the night has been.
“I’ll take the next watch after the lass.” Dwalin spoke and nodded towards you, making his own way over towards his bedroll.
As the others said their goodnights and well wishing of sweet dreams, you were left to seat yourself on the nearby rock, gaining some height for looking out for threats. You smiled as your mind wandered back to thoughts of your mother, your home.
Although it saddens you to know there is no returning for you, you still continue to smile as you’ve gained a new one after the tragic loss of your previous.
You brought your knees up to your chest, hugging your legs tightly as you gaze over at the sleeping dwarves, hobbit and wizard, smiling fondly.
“When all is lost, then all is found…huh…” You muttered to yourself, thinking solely of your newfound family. You were going to help them get back to their rightful home, even if it killed you.

I KNOW the whole mother situation is practically the same from the second Frozen film but I prefer the second over the first immensely for some reason
And this song just hits right, yanno
Anywho, I hope you enjoy
I found this to be quite cute plus fun to write
As always, constructive criticism and requests are welcomed and greatly appreciated :D

No Comparions {Kili x Plus Size Reader}
Plot: You’re the only female member of the Company and Kili accidentally sees you bathing in the river.
Character: Kili x Plus Size Female Reader
Notes: insecurities, comparisons of self to other women
Part of my Plus Size Reader x Character Series!
Being the only female in Thorin’s Company was a hard task. You loved them all, even grumpy old Thorin, but sometimes it just got a bit tough. It was tough when they’d poke fun at your weight, they didn’t do it in a horrible cruel way but sometimes, they’d make a comment and it would hurt you deeply. You never showed that it upset you but it did deep down. It was hard when you had to bathe an hour earlier than the rest of them and be alone in the river at your most vulnerable.
You’d stripped of your clothes, washing them quickly and hanging them on the branches to dry and had slowly walked into the river. You were still so uncomfortable bathing out in the open like this, it made you feel too vulnerable. If someone saw you and saw your body... you shuddered at the thought. You weren’t slender and delicate like Tauriel the She-Elf, instead you were stocky and heavy; with thick thighs and a protruding belly. It killed you to see the way that Kili looked at Tauriel when all you wanted was for him to look at you like that.
You’d been too caught up in your thoughts when you heard a twig snap from behind you. You spun around, seeing Kili standing with wide horror stricken eyes and an open mouth. Quickly, you dropped into the water, fully submerging everything but your head, “Turn around!” You squealed loudly.
Kili - still in shock - spun around, covering his eyes, “(y/n), I am so sorry. I- I thought you would have been finished by now, I called out but no one answered so I thought you were finished!”
Your whole body burned of embarrassment in the cool water. You groaned quietly as you edged your way to the beach, “Do not look, Kili!”
Kili slapped his hand over his eyes, “Would you like me to go? I can come back when you’re finished?”
“Can you get my clothes? They’re right in front of you and just throw them to me.” Kili opened his eyes and grabbed your clothes before bundling them together and throwing them behind him but SPLASH! As if it couldn’t get worse, your clothes landed straight into the river.
Hearing the splash, Kili spun around as you lurched for them, once again exposing yourself, “Kili!” You yelled, covering your body with your sopping wet clothes.
“I’m so sorry!” Kili shouted, spinning around again, “I- I didn’t mean to, I heard the splash and I- here,” he pulled his furs off and dropped them at his feet, “Take my furs, wrap yourself in them; they’re warm and dry and I washed them yesterday so they’re clean.”
“Don’t peek!”
Slowly, you stood up and crept towards Kili, heart beating faster in case he saw you once more. As soon as your got to him, you grabbed his furs and wrapped them around you tightly so that you were all covered. You told him to turn around.
He was red in the face and he couldn’t look at you directly in the eyes, “I apologise, (y/n). I-I truly had not realised you were still bathing otherwise I would never have-”
You nodded, “Just don’t tell anyone, please.”
“I would never.”
“I know that they all like to tease me about my weight but you have to promise you won’t say anything about my body.”
Kili frowned at you, “Why would I do such a thing?”
You rolled your eyes, “Don’t you think I’ve noticed how you stared at the She-Elf? Obviously, I am not shaped or built like her.”
His frown deepened, “(y/n), what are you on about? Why are you comparing yourself to her?”
“I saw the way you looked at her, Kili. I saw the horror in your eyes when you saw me.”
A deep sadness washed over you as you saw his horrified face in your head but all was not as you thought, “I wasn’t- There was no horror in my eyes,” he told you strongly, “I was shocked and surprised that I caught you in such a vulnerable moment and I swear I tried my hardest to not look at you in such a vulnerable state. I wasn’t horrified by any means.”
You scoffed, “Save me the lies, Kili. I know you want a slender, thin, delicate thing and not a stocky, plump woman like me.”
Kili stepped towards you, so close that you could feel the tickle of his breath on your face, “You have it completely wrong. Ask Fili. Ask Fili who I’ve been talking about this whole time, who I’ve been raving about and daydreaming about; it’s you. Not Tauriel. Tauriel is an attractive Elf, yes, but you, (y/n), you are so beautiful.”
“But I’m not like her.”
“I don’t want you to be like her!” Kili told you, cupping your face in his hands, “I want you to be you. I want you to look like you with your thick thighs and your stomach and your ability to outdrink half of the Company! Please stop comparing yourself to others. You’re you, (y/n) and that’s enough.”
You looked at him with awe filled eyes as he continued, “They shouldn’t tease you for your weight, I suppose they believe you to be ‘one of the lads’ as that’s what we do to each other but I’ll tell them that they’re overstepping a line, alright?”
You nodded and Killi stepped away, dropping his hands from your face, “I’ll let you get dressed, your clothes should be a bit drier now but please, consider what I’ve said.”
He turned and walked away when you called out for him. He turned, “I fancy you, too.”

the hobbit: “only you” ₊˚ ⸝ thorin x reader
❝once upon a time we had it all. somewhere down the line we went and lost it. one brick at a time we watched it fall. i’m broken here tonight and darling, no one else can fix me. only you.❞
gif credit: @samanthaserena on weheartit song: little mix - only you
˚₊· ͟͟͞͞➳❥
pairings: thorin oakenshield x reader
warnings: angst, language, smut, dominant thorin, (should dragon-sickness be a warning?)
summary: n/a
Thorin Oakenshield. The name used to make your heart flutter. But everything about ‘Thorin Oakenshield’ has changed. He wasn’t the Dwarf you once knew. He was lost to his dragon-sickness. Now, whenever Thorin was mentioned, it made your gut churn with anxiety. Days after completing the quest, Thorin practically enslaved his whole Company, forcing them to search day and night for the Arkenstone. At this point, he didn’t care that he reclaimed his homeland, where all the Dwarves could come back and live. The gold was all that mattered to him. And that damn Arkenstone. It was all he ever talked about, looked at, and breathed, as if his life depended on it. It sickened you to watch him in such a crazed state. Many times you wanted to leave and never look back. But you swore to him that you’d never leave his side, and unlike Thorin, you would never go back on your word.
You made your way to the throne room where Thorin stayed, despite The Company telling you not to. Time had gone by without anybody doing anything. You figured you might as well try to talk some sense into him. Plus, what’s the worst that could happen?
“Thorin,” you greeted Thorin naturally, despite everything being far from normal. Thorin was deep in thought, his face buried in his knuckles. His eyes darted away from the floor to look at you, causing your breath to hitch. A dark, hungry look crossed his face as you approached him calmly, hoping he wouldn’t hear the thumping in your chest.
“Why have you come?”
“Well, why not?” you replied, your voice becoming shaky. This was it. “Thorin, these riches.. They’ve changed you. You’re unwell, and you don’t realize it.” Thorin bolted upright immediately at the words, approaching you until you were almost chest to chest. You felt your knees grow weak, and heat rush to your core. If the circumstances were different, you would have already jumped on Thorin’s bones. But right now, you were working on winning the old Thorin back.
“No, Y/N.” A malicious grin spreading across Thorin’s face. “These riches are mine. My birthright. Is it not fitting? King Thorin Under the Mountain,” he mused.
“But you’re not Thorin,” you choked out, shaking your head and watching as the expression on his face became stern again. “Thorin would never go back on his word. Never choose gold over his own kin.” Thorin kept silent, watching you intently as you stepped back. “I should have known. It’s no use trying to talk sense into you.”
“You are wrong,” Thorin snarled. “I am more sensible than I’ve ever been.”
“You are not a king. You’re a fool, and a coward,” you spat, turning on your heel to walk away. Thorin’s strong hand gripped your arm, pulling you back to face him. As soon as you turned, Thorin’s lips claimed yours fiercely, his arms wrapping around to trap you. You weren’t hesitant to kiss back, forgetting everything that had just happened. The way Thorin kissed you was dominating and ferocious, yet there was a hint of gentleness in his touch, as if his ‘two sides’ were fighting with one another. Without breaking the kiss, Thorin led you to the throne, pushing you to lay down while he towered above you. His hands traveled up your tunic, briefly parting from you to pull it over your head. Thorin took in the sight of your naked chest, causing your cheeks to heat up in embarrassment. You crossed your arms over your breasts, but Thorin pinned them to your sides, leaning in to whisper in your ear.
“Do not hide,” he rasped. “Let your king see you.. Am I not your king?” You didn’t know who he was anymore. Whether or not he was talking as the real Thorin, or if his mind was still sick, but at this point, you didn’t care. You wanted, no, needed him badly.
Thorin kissed down your jawline to attach his lips to your neck, sucking and biting mercilessly, leaving lovebites all over your skin. Marking what was his. You mewled as he kissed down your collarbone, your chest, until he reached the waistband of your trousers. Without a word, he ripped them off, along with your undergarments until you were all naked before him. “So beautiful,” he whispered, eyeing you deliciously. His fingertips brushed over your stomach, trailing down to your inner thigh. “All mine.” Thorin discarded his robes and tunic, exposing his bare chest. You couldn’t help but stare, blushing wildly while doing so. Keeping eye contact, Thorin slicked his finger over your slit, letting out a groan at your wetness. You bit your lip as he continued this, rubbing and teasing your clit ever so softly.
“Please, my king.. “ You didn’t even need to finish. As soon as the words left your mouth, Thorin undid his trousers, his full length coming into view. He lined up his cock with your entrance, and slowly sheathed himself into your tightness, grunting as he did so. He waited for you to adjust to his size, before he started to carefully slide in and out of you. A whimper escaped your mouth as his pace started to quicken, and he was soon pounding away relentlessly at your sopping cunt. Your hands desperately clung to Thorin’s back as you moaned his name with each thrust. He hit your spot, causing you to let out a whimper as he hit it repeatedly, his thrusts becoming sloppy.
“T-Thorin, I’m going to--”
He let out a roar as you both reached your peaks, pulling away after he emptied his seed in you. He pulled you onto his lap after dressing you in his robe, cradling you like a child. He kissed the top of your head, “I’m here, my love.” Those were the last words you heard before you drifted off into a deep slumber.

You should’ve known better. Better than to just watch Coraline in TV during a heavy rain.
You were in your house alone, sick with cold for past few days, and now really, really scared. It was a bad idea to watch that movie. You hated anything horror-related, and you didn’t even counted that time when you thought that some boyfriend or even any of your friends would come handy right now.
A sharp lightning crossed the sky and heavy thunder shaked you a bit. You screamed and jumped up.
Maybe I should turn the TV off. I’ve had enough, you thought.
But you knew you wouldn’t be able to fall asleep.
You got up when an add break was there, turned on a few other lights, so you would find your way to kitchen, and took your mug with you to make another tea.
When your water was boiling, you were about to fill that mug with teabag, but a weird noise upstairs cought your attention. You shook it off when it stopped.
It was maybe some wind.
You looked outside and noticed that it almost stopped raining. You sighed by relief and opened your back doors and stepped out in your backyard.
It wasn’t too long before it started raining a lot again, so you quickly made your way inside.
A weird noises from your backyard and upstairs cought your attention. It was as if someone was walking here, and you were sure you noticed a few shadows outside. You decided to take a look at it, even if you were scared. So you took your phone to call the police if emergency, putted it safely to your pocket, and a baseball bat.
You’ve decided to look upstairs, since you locked your back doors, so you were feeling a bit more safe.
You were quietly tip toing upstairs, and furrowed your brows when you’ve noticed voices, and then recognized what they were saying.
“...not sure how we ended up here...”
“...stop doing that...”
You covered your mouth with one hand. You couldn’t belive that. No. You ears and mind had to be playing a tricks on you.
They sounded exactely like Balin and Thranduil.
You followed their voices. They were in one of your guest rooms. You peeked inside and almost gasped. For the lack of light you couldn’t really see how many of them was there, but they were at least three. One of them turned around and let out a gasp. Others turned to you and you firmly clunched the bat in your hands.
“Who are you and what are you doing in my house?” You said and one of them came a bit closer.
“We-we mean no harm to you, we’re sorry miss we scared you, but we have no idea how we got in here.” You gasped when Bilbo’s voice told you all of that.
“That’s impossible!” You cried out. Your bat fell down to the ground and you quickly switched on the light. There was a groaning when the light hit their eyes, and you quickly recognized Balin, Bilbo, Thranduil, Legolas, Dwalin, Bard and Gandalf.
You got out and runned away. You tried to calm down.
It’s nothing, Y/N. You’ve watched that movie ealier today. It’s just a fever, nothing else- Your thoughts have been interrupted when Bilbo’s voice came to your ears.
“Miss, we’re sorry if we scared you, are-are you okay?” He looked at you, worried. You carefully touched his hair and face.
“You-you’re...real.” You whispered. He flinched a bit.
“Well, yes, of course I am, well, I can imagine you are in shock, uhm...would you like to sit down?” He offered as if it would be you who was the visitor.
„I-I think better yes, thank you.“ You carefully sat down, closing your eyes and placing your index fingers on your temples. A loud knock made you jump up and open up your eyes. It came from your back door.
You carefully went there and overheard a voices you’d recognized immediatelly.
„...maybe we should just barge in, you know, it’s locked anyway.“ Kili.
„Perhaps you’re right,“ suggested another voice. Fili. You unlocked the door and opened them up only for you to see three dwarves a bit shorter than you, soaking wet. You opened the doors. You voice was chatched in your throat. You couldn’t believe what was happening.
„Come in.“ They looked at each other suspiciously, and you turned around to go to sit somewhere, so you wouldn’t hurt yourself if you’d fell uncoucious. Your legs were giving up pretty quickly.
„Miss-?“ Bard noticed your pale face and helped you to get onto the couch. Bilbo handed you your mug with a hot tea and you gratefully smiled at him. You sipped a bit and noticed how your hands were shaking and you were beginning to sweat. You needed to calm down.
„You have it nice here, I really like it-miss, are you alright?“ Kili said when he noticed that you were trying to stand, but almost fell down back. You creaked out a weak smile.
„It-it’s okay, Kili. It’s just-I am a bit dizzy-Bilbo, I can stand on my own,“ You mourmured when the hobbit took your arm to help you stand. You looked up and noticed all of them were quiet and Kili’s mouth and eyes were wide open, Bilbo’s face held also a huge surprise. You muttered under your breath,
„Oh shit.“ You straightened you back and tried your best not to get scared by Dwalin and Thorin, both glaring at you. Instead, you looked over to Gandalf and Balin.
„I-I think we will go to kitchen and-talk about this.“ You looked to still stunned Kili, whom Fili nudged to ribs so he would close his mouth, and Thorin.
„I’ll bring you some dry clothes. Just...don’t move.“ You murmed and sneaked to your dad’s closet to get some clothes that would fit them. He would always forget some of them here when he needed to wash them in the washing mashine.
You found only two shirts, with trousers there was a better situation – you owned a men’s jeans in size that would fit you plus some larger ones for tucking swaters in them and men trousers, because you liked their silhouette and wore them sometimes. You looked through your closet and found a few oversized t-shirts, mostly black and dark blue. You quickly gathered them and made your way down the stairs.
You came back and noticed they were walking around and looking at everything. Bilbo and Gandalf were trying to stop them (Bilbo felt very sorry for you, because he knew how it felt like), the Mirkwood elves sitting on the couch and flipping through your books. You tried to find the Durins, and it was not that hard. You had to follow the wet paths they left. You sighed in relief and you found them in the kitchen, unsurprisingly.
„Hey, you three!“ They all turned to you. You sighed and handed the clothes to the Durins.
„Go and change. Don’t protest, it’s comfortable and dry. Then come back here.“ You noticed the untrust in Thorin’s eyes and sighed.
„You have to believe me. Just-please-go and change. I’ll show you where.“ Thorin looked like he wanted to argue, but something in your voice made him to only nod and follow you with his nephews.
While they were changing in the bathroom, you took a few chairs to your table, which was quite big. You sat into the head of the table with your tea, slowly sipping the almost cold liquid, and watching them. You gave them some food, but knowing how much dwarves could eat, you weren’t quite sure if it was a good idea.
When the Durins came back, Kili was curious and wanted to know where you knew his name from. He sat by your left and you had to admit, all of them three looked good in jeans and a shirt and t-shirts. His brother sat down next to him and Thorin, eyeing Thranduil, sat down next to his older nephew and Dwalin. You looked to your left, where was sitting Bilbo, then there was Balin, Legolas, Bard and Thranduil. Opposite to Thranduil has seated down Gandalf, so if some argument would come up, he’d be there to calm them down. You smiled at him and stood up.
„Well, I don’t exactely know how to start this...unexpected meeting.“ You started and all eyes were on you. You blushed when you noticed Kili’s intense gaze.
„I am aware you don’t know how did you got in here, so I-I want to help you to find your way home.“ You started playing with your hands nervously and looked over all of them. They looked exactely like in the movies, only their clothes looked more worn and wrinkled than in the movies. You were thinking if you should tell them or not that they were characters from the book and in the movies. It would be easier to explain, maybe even for them of how did they came to your world, you thought.
„Do you know us? I mean, you obviously know me and Master Baggins,“ Kili said and looked at you. You slightely blushed under his curious gaze.
„I don’t know how to explain it,“ you sighed.
„It’s quite complicated, but yes, I know all of you and more from your world.“ You said and someone gasped in surprise. Only Gandalf looked not that surprised.
„How do we know it’s true?“ Dwalin said and you shivered. He was always scaring you.
„For example, I know that you are Dwalin, then there’s Thorin, Fili, Kili, Thranduil, Legolas, Balin, Bard, Bilbo and Gandalf. In your world, there, for example, I know about Lord Elrond, Bofur, Gloin, Gimli, Lindir-“ You stopped. You realized you didn’t knew in which part of book, or even series they were. Dwalin looked over to Kili and snorted.
„What about your elf maid, huh?“ You started laughing with the dwarves and even Gandalf looked he was having a good time, when you noticed Kilis face and ears reddening and his gaze quickly averted to table. You stopped laughing, but there was still a smile on your face, when you carefully touched his shoulder. He sleepishly and shyly looked up to you and you offered him a smile.
„I’m sorry, Kee. But it’s funny.“ A thought came to you. You didn’t knew if it was a good idea, but you decided it would be good to perhaps give it a try.
„Well, I think that this...will perhaps explain why do I know all of you.“

Multi-Dimensional pt. 2
The Company x Reader
Trigger warning: reference to past domestic/animal abuse
Really angsty but funny at the beginning.
@barbar126
So when you finished your little '10 minutes alone in your house' test, you were actually pleasantly surprised to see everyone sitting around your living room and enjoying their tea and food without a fuss. They hadn't even taken their weapons back, and nothing was broken either.
After that, you realized that things were probably going to go well and you can afford relax a bit. Plus... free labor.
Around 5 or so days pass by without much incident (of course showing them how to use the bathroom was awful since they didn't seem to grasp the fact that the water just comes out of the showerhead and they don't need to fill anything... and that the water could actually be warm if they waited for 10 damn seconds).
You made the mistake of not telling the 'dwarf' known as Dwalin to wait while you got everything set up, and when you turned he had already been half-naked.
Suffice to say, you screamed so loud that a bunch of those 'dwarves' came running over with weapons drawn and everything.
You're going to have to make a spray bottle and spritz them when they pull out their pointy things like that, but only after you're 100% sure they won't shank you for it.
The first time they saw your barn full of horses, cows, goats, and some sheep they were excited, and when they saw your aquarium room with all your fish and the terrariums with your snakes and turtle that you pet sit, they were a little more nervous.
The youngest, who you know to be Ori, had asked if the reptiles would eat them, but you only smiled and said, "Not unless I tell them too." You can't actually make them attack the dwarves, but it's best to keep them on their toes.
You decided to 'employ' all of them to help you take care of the animals, though you don't really need it, and may I say that the sight of your tiny hamsters, rabbit, and turtle being held in big 'man' hands is probably the cutest thing you've ever seen.
Yeti has also betrayed you, for he has fallen in love with that blond 'hobbit' known as Bilbo, and will only listen to him. If you had known Yeti would drop everything and have an affair the moment you turned your back, you would've sent them away (not really). The first time Yeti refused to come to you while he was snuggling the small hobbit shattered your heart. The betrayal shot through you like a poison arrow and spread throughout your whole body, leaving nothing in its wake other than sorrow and pain.
You got called dramatic for that.
"Fine! I don't need you anyway, Yeti! I've got Copper!" You cried, much to the amusement of your guests.
To be honest, you act like a total nut job with the sole purpose of bringing some joy into their everyday lives... and to keep them underestimating you in case things go south.
The quieter Balin seemed to take to your cat Butterscotch immediately, and now you rarely see him without ole Scotch in his lap. Your other two cats Midnight and Mittens were a little less pleased to have so many people around them, but they tolerated the dwarves and eventually got to petting terms with them.
The brothers Fili and Kili (you keep mixing them up, you're ashamed to admit) seemed to like your rabbit and hamsters the most. After you showed them how to feed the little fluffy boi's and how to open their cages, you often found them walking around holding them in their arms. It's very cute.
Thorin, the leader of this entourage, acts like he doesn't care for any of them, but you saw that bastard feeding Copper scraps under the table when he thought you weren't looking. And, apparently, Mittens kinda likes him which is interesting.
It's been only 5 days, but you found yourself becoming fond of the lot of them rather quickly, and they to you (though you don't know that).
You have two spare bedrooms with medium-sized beds, the love seat, long couches, and a chair in your living room, and a small couch in your bedroom too. You decided that moving the couch out to one of the other guest bedrooms would be beneficial, but it'll take some time so you were postponing it.
Now is as good of a time as any, you suppose.
You had been feeding your fish with Nori and Ori, and when the inspiration to move the couch hit you, you handed them the shaker and said, "Be careful not to overfeed them, otherwise they will explode and I will cry." You make your way to the door and pause, "A lot."
With that, you leave toward the stairs, and Copper rises from his spot next to Thorin (you feel weird not saying Mr. before) to follow after you.
"Oh, here's my good little boy!" You kneel down and squish his fluffy face, making over-exaggerated smooching noises as you kiss the top of his head and his snout, "Who's a good boy? Who's my good boy!?" You ask in a baby voice, scratching his back and petting him all over. His tail wags excitedly as you smother him in affection, and it only makes your heart melt, "You would never betray mommy, no you wouldn't! You wouldn't ditch me for a hobbit, would you baby? Oh, I love you." smooch, "so," smooch, "much!" You kiss the top of his head one more time, then stand back up with a bright smile on your face.
Someone clears their throat behind you, so you turn and see the majority of the intruders standing behind you. Some of them look amused, a few disturbed, and others are actually laughing.
"What?" You ask indignantly, feeling your face heat up from embarrassment. You forget that there are others in the house who aren't use to your animated way of talking to your babies.
"You have quite an interesting way of speaking with your animals." Mr. Thorin asshole Oakenshield states (he's actually a pretty nice guy).
You can't even help the violent blush from spreading across your cheeks, "D-Don't talk to me like that!" You exclaim, pouting rather childishly. "Copper! Attack!" You yell, pointing in his general direction.
A few of them stiffen, but Copper just kinda lazily ambles over and sits down in the middle of the dwarves, making you gasp dramatically. There's some more laughter, and while you knew Copper wouldn't actually attack them, it did nothing to ease how flustered you are like you thought it would.
You throw your arms up in the air in defeat and yell exasperatedly, "Fine! Have fun laughing while I put small animals in your things!" You don't wait around to see how they react and instead walk up the stairs and head to your room to begin moving the couch.
There's some murmuring that you can hear down below.
"Did we actually offend her?" Someone whispers.
You don't know their voices well enough to decipher who is who, yet, but their conversation actually warms your heart a bit.
"We didn't, did we? I only found it to be slightly amusing, and cute..." Another voice states.
"Yeah, it was cute, t-the dog I mean..."
Ooh, they think you're cute. Nice.
You decide that you should stop eavesdropping and go ahead and start moving the couch. Or try at least.
At first, you try pushing it, but the carpet simply doesn't allow for it, so you instead try to pull it, but that doesn't work either. Then, you crouch down and manage to lift it slightly from the ground, and so you, still gripping the gap beneath it, slowly walk back with it a few steps. You only manage to make it about 3 feet before you have to take a breather though.
You do that 4 more times, and eventually, you make it to the still-open, door. Once you get it there you stop and lean against it, panting quietly from the exertion.
For about a minute you stand there, and once you've caught your breath somewhat you lean back down and lift it as much as you can again and begin dragging it backward. You make some grunting noises from your effort and breathe out loudly when you drop it 2 feet later, standing up straight since the position is making your back hurt.
You bury your head in your hands and groan dramatically, "I'm a failureeeee!"
"Are you okay?" Someone says behind you suddenly.
You turn your head a bit and see one of the brothers, the brown-haired one, Kili you think (or was it Fili?), on the stairs looking at you with furrowed eyebrows, so you drop your hands back to your side.
"Just peachy. Do you need help with something?" You ask, wiping your hands on your jeans.
He shakes his head no, then glances at the heavy couch you're trying to move. "No, but it looks like you do."
You look down at the couch, then back at him and shake your head, "No, no I've got this. I've just gotta bring it across the hall over there." You point towards the end of the catwalk, but your resolve diminishes slightly when you realize just how far it is. Of course, you don't retract your denial since you don't want to look stupid. "All good over here."
You turn your back to him again and go back to your little system of lifting it slowly, pulling it back a few feet, then dropping it.
Honestly, it's painful to watch.
He then asks again, "Are you sure... you do not need help?"
You shake your head 'no' and don't bother turning or answering verbally this time (definitely not because you're out of breath), instead you just do the same process again and finally pull the damn thing all the way through your door.
"S-See? I've got it all under control!" You look over at him with a weary and very unconvincing smile. Damn, you don't even believe it yourself.
"Hey Fili, come here!" He calls suddenly, not acknowledging your assurance that you're all good.
Oh great, now they're gonna watch you fail together and make fun of you.
You huff indignantly and turn away, moving to pick it up again and, hopefully, arrive at your destination before you can be embarrassed anymore today.
Heavy footsteps ascend up the stairs and you groan internally, but continue nonetheless.
"What is it?" You hear him ask Kili (now you've got it), "Oh, uh, what is she doing?"
You do your best to tune them out and just go about your business. When you drop the couch this next time, though, you kinda just stand there for a moment and wait for your back to stop hurting.
A voice then pipes up next to you, "Allow us."
You look down at the blond dwarf with surprise, not having heard him approach, "Um, I don't know if you'll be able to..." Your eyes drift over to Kili (you know that's his name for sure this time) who is at the opposite end of the furniture, and when he lifts it, it goes up much higher than what you managed.
How is that even possible? They're smaller than you are! In height, at least... Okay, actually maybe it does make sense since, as stated 5 days ago, these bitches are thicc👌.
"Okay." You don't see the point in arguing any further and just step out of the way (plus you hate physical labor), watching as they carry the whole couch to the other room in record time. Now you just feel silly, having so adamantly refused any assistance when the job effort was cut in half in literal seconds.
After a few moments of just standing there, you follow and go into the room, seeing that they've already placed it in a free space in the room.
"Is this alright?" Kili asks, looking over at you with a slightly smug expression.
You just nod dumbly, looking between them and the couch a few times, "I don't...," you pause before you finish that thought, squinting at the couch, "Move it a little to the left."
They do just that, and when it's done you smile brightly, "Looks good. Thank you."
Fili opens his mouth to say something, but a loud knock on your door and barking from Copper and Yeti silences him.
You spin around on your heel and look downstairs frantically at the entrance, seeing a distorted figure through the wavy glass of your front door. Your eyes go wide, and you turn back to the two brothers, "Don't go outside!"
You then race downstairs, the two following close behind, and wave everyone looking at the door over to you, "Go hide over there," you point to an area out of sight from the front door. You smile and say, "Good boys!" out of habit, but another knock keeps you from getting embarrassed.
You start to run over to the door, but pause and run back to say, "And don't leave this area. I don't know who's here."
A louder knock resounds throughout your main room, and you yell, "I'm coming! Just give me a moment!" Once they're all hidden away, you make your way over and open the front door.
Your face falls immediately, "Erick... what are you doing here?" Suddenly all the confidence and joy washes out of you, leaving nothing but a barren wasteland of confusion and dismay.
The man at your doorway, Erick, looks down at you with a blank stare, then down at your dogs. A smile comes to his face and he says, "Hey, Copper! I've missed you, buddy!"
Copper doesn't go up to him, instead he growls a bit and you feel satisfied about it. Yeti just turns away and goes to where everyone else is hiding, no doubt to look for Bilbo.
Erick steps forward a bit and goes to pet him, but you snap, "Hey! Leave him alone. What do you want?"
When you ask what he wants, he steps back out onto the patio and glares at Copper briefly before looking back at you, "I just came by to see Copper, is all. He's my dog too you know."
His words make your blood boil, but you try to keep your cool and instead shake your head, "No, the moment you raised your hand to him he was no longer your dog. And I doubt you made a trip all the way here just to see him. Just tell me what you want so I can get back to my day."
His fists clench at his sides and you unconsciously flinch but maintain eye contact. "Fine, you're right. I came to take him back home with me."
"What?" You ask incredulously, looking down at Copper's sweet face, then back up at him. "Yeah, no way, he's my fucking dog."
"Yes way, he was our dog, and being as I bought him for you and paid all his bills before you began this worthless animal sitting shit, I have more of a right to him than you." His voice sounds so smug, and his smirk makes you sick to your stomach
"You only bought him for me because you needed something to make me stick around." You argue, "Why are you doing this now? Why not last week? Or tomorrow? Or literally any other time? Why did you have to come by without even calling me in advance?"
He crosses his arms and leans forward intimidatingly, purposefully looming just to unnerve you, "Because I want my dog back."
Oh, you know exactly what he's doing. Copper is precious to you in more ways than one, and after your not so great breakup with this slimy bastard, he looked for every way to piss you off and fuck you over. You can't count on two hands how many times he threatened Copper's well-being just to force you to do something. He thinks that by taking Copper now he can psych you out and make you come back to him. And, well, he probably can, but there's no way you're going to just give Copper to him.
"Over my dead freaking body." You snap back, crossing your arms much like he did, "I can pay you back for everything in cash, but he's not going anywhere with you."
"Yes, he is. I've got the receipts to prove it too. Give him to me or I take you to court."
Oh, this fucker.
"Then fucking take me to court!" You stand your ground and shake your head, taking a calming breath so you don't explode, "Why can't you just leave us alone? Copper is my dog, I love him so much, and you know that! I'm sorry I broke up with you and it hurt your feelings, but you have to leave him out of this! Isn't there something else I can give you? Like my money?"
"Well... I suppose I can make this all go away." He suddenly says, a smirk curling upon his lips and he leans down slightly.
You don't dare hope that he's going to say something rational. "How?"
"Just let me take you out on one more date, I'll show you that I'm not that guy anymore." He attempts a 'sweet' and 'apologetic' smile, but you can see right through him, "I didn't even mean to hit him anyways." Just as you expected.
You lean back when he gets closer and your nose scrunches up distastefully. "Um, yeah, you didn't mean to hit him because you meant to hit me, or did you forget about that? I'm not going anywhere with you. End of discussion." At this point, you've completely forgotten about the 14 people hiding not 20 feet away. You're just so damn angry you can't even think straight.
"Then I'm going to take him back home with me. And if he happens to get out and run into the middle of the road... well, my dog door doesn't lock, as you know."
You recoil at his hateful, disgusting words and feel a spark of emotion shoot through you, "I w-won't let you take him. He's been through enough because of you!" In a way you're expressing your own frustrations through Copper, speaking about him in a way that conveys what you're actually feeling too. "Please, Erick just leave us alone. I can pay you back for the things you got him, that way you haven't lost anything."
"Except for you." He tries to sound disappointed and regretful, but you know he isn't. He isn't. "You know I love you..."
For a split second you almost believe him, but you shove that trust away as soon as it appears. It took you a long time to get to where you are today, and you're not about to relapse and start forgiving him again now. "You don't love me, Erick, you love to control me. I left, and that's your fault!"
"If you won't get back with me, then give me Copper and I'll leave you alone."
Great, an ultimatum.
Yes, having this prick leave you alone for good would be wonderful, but sending that innocent fluff ball with him is a death sentence. You don't know what he did to him when you weren't home if he did anything at all, but you loathe the thought of Copper being at his mercy (mostly because he has none).
Copper was the only ray of light in your dark life then. He was your only solace, your beacon of hope, and your only ally when Erick made you drive everyone else away. In some ways, you'd first die then part with him.
"No! I already said I'm not going to give him to you! You only gave him to me so you could use him against me anyways! You don't love him, and you don't love me. You're crazy."
He glares daggers into you but doesn't reply to that. Then steps to the side and whistles, "Copper, come here."
Copper's ears twitch, but he doesn't move to get up. He's scared.
When Copper doesn't move Erick begins to step inside, but you get in front of him and glare up at him, "Hey! You can't come in here, Erick!"
He doesn't move at first, clearly not having expected you to stand up to him physically like that.
"This doesn't have to be difficult, Y/N. Just give me his leash and we'll be on our way."
"Over. My. Dead. Body!" You repeat, reaching back to push Copper away a bit and urge him to run off.
"That can be arranged." He hisses, a dangerous glint gleaming in his eyes.
"Hey, g-get away from me!" You shrink back and start to step away, but he reaches up and grabs your wrists, causing you to physically cringe when his skin meets yours. "D-Don't touch me!" You cry in alarm, hearing some shuffling from the very place you hid your new friends. The new friends that you instructed not to come out. Copper stands up when you start to shout and he barks at Erick, but he only ignores your good little floofer and shakes you a bit.
"You were so much better when you listened!" He snaps, releasing one of your hands to grab your face in a bruising grip.
"Stop!" You yell louder, voice slightly muffled and intended for both him and the no doubt distressed dwarves and hobbit. One of your knees comes up almost on its own, and though it doesn't quite hit it's target, it does hit his stomach. His grip on you loosens, so you wrench your wrist from his grasp and shove him backwards out your door, causing him to land on his butt on the wood deck.
"Did you really just do that?!" He screams, staggering to his feet with murder in his eyes as he moves to come back inside. "You're gonna fucking wish you-"
He reaches towards you, but you slam the door on his fingers before he can come any closer or finish his threat. A loud cry of pain comes from in front of you, but you slam your door instead of going to look. You turn all the locks quickly and step back from it, tripping over your own feet and falling on your butt much like he did when he starts to bang on your door from the other side.
"Give me that damn dog, Y/N! I will get a judge involved! I'll sue you for assault and robbery!"
He continues to scream and break things outside your door, and at some point you wrap Copper up in a tight hug, sniffling softly from a mixture of both relief and fright.
Erick screams every curse in the book. He screams violent threats against your animals, describing what he's going to do if he ever get's his hands on them, all the ways he's going to hurt you. How he wants you to die, and how he'll kill you if you ever cross paths again.
You don't know how long he goes at it, yelling these hateful and threatening things at you and your poor animals, but eventually, he quiets. With one final kick at your door and exclamation about how he's going to get you for this, he leaves.
Your heart is beating rapidly in your chest, and you're unable to move for a little bit until Copper's cool nose presses against your cheek gently.
He's shaking (or maybe that's you), you notice, so you stroke his head gently and mumble, "Hey, it's okay sweetheart... It's okay." You don't know if he can understand you, but your voice seems to calm him regardless. Despite being slightly traumatized, you're actually a little proud of yourself for standing up for yourself and Copper like that.
More shuffling registers from behind you, but you don't turn to look. You don't want them to see your tears, even if you consider them your friends. People are horrible, and when they see someone like you as you are now they either pity you needlessly, or see someone they can take advantage of. And you're done being taken advantage of.
You just continue to sit there on the ground, hugging Copper's fuzzy head to your chest while you whisper comforting things to him, sniffling occasionally while you wait for your violent trembling to cease.
A few minutes pass of complete silence, you could probably hear a fly landing on something with how quiet it is. There is nothing you loathe more at this moment then having to face the people behind you, but you stand up anyways.
"Miss Y/N?"
Ah, you recognize that voice. It's the hobbit Bilbo, and it sounds like he doesn't know what to say.
You ignore him calling your name and just dance around the topic and try to make a joke out of it by stating, "W-Well that was awkward, wasn't it? I didn't think this is how our day would go." You don't turn to face them, shoulders stiff while you look at Copper's sweet face and try to keep your tears at bay, "I... I don't feel so good all of a sudden. I think I'm going to retire early tonight." Your voice is soft and weak, heavy from crying, and you just feel humiliated all around (especially at the way your voice breaks when you attempt a laugh).
You turn slowly and force a smile, one much too bright and cheery to be paired with your puffy eyes and heart-wrenchingly frail demeanor. "H-Help yourself to my kitchen."
You cannot stand the expressions on their faces, even the half-deaf one heard everything, so you turn your gaze down to your feet and, without another word, make a bee-line for the stairs and practically run up them with Copper and Butterscotch on your heels. Even Yeti follows after you. "Good night!" You rush out before slamming your bedroom door, avoiding the same 14 pairs of eyes still trained on you.
If you had taken a little longer to look at them, you would've seen more than pity though. Some of them held anger, some looked sad and empathetic, and some were simply shocked or upset themselves. They've seen nothing but the strong-willed and funny part of you, so seeing that...
It seems that your distress has affected the mood of this company quite a bit more than you realize.

Hello! I Hope you doing well. I was wondering if you would ever consider doing an X Plus Size! reader because there hardly any in this fandom and I feel like the hobbit/lotr fandom if perfect for Plus Size Reader fanfiction. If you can could you do a Thorin X Plus Size reader with the 10.“I’m not the kind of girl that guys fall for.” and 23.“Every time I see you, I fall in love with you all over again” Lots of Fluff please!
Mhmmm yesss, I’ll pop this into my list! - Nemo

Fluttering Heart
Fluffober Day 13: Soulmates
Kili Durin x f!human!reader
Word Count: 1.5k
AN: OMG! This has definitely been my favorite to write so far. I love Kili with my whole heart and that for sure came out while I was writing. I really want to see about making this a longer series once October ends, if anyone wants to see that leave a comment and let me know.

The culture of the dwarves is much like their treasure, kept under lock and key. Histories, customs, and traditions all are played very close to the chest of the stubborn race. The only beings who are let in on the secret are those lucky enough to be a fated match.
There are different names for these matches in every culture, Soulmates, true loves, twin flames. The dwarves called them Ones. To find your One was said to be the best day of your life. At least that is what Kili thought, he wouldn’t know though. He hadn’t met his yet.
His uncle’s one had been the Hobbit, Bilibo took longer to fall than Thorin but fell just as hard if not harder than the dwarf. The two were very much in love, it was sickening. His mother’s One had been his father, and he doesn’t remember much about their time together. Fee’s One was a lovely lass that had come from the Blue Mountains to try and establish herself as a seamstress under the mountain.
All of them had told him how wonderful finding their Ones was, even Thorin whose One was not of the race of Dwarf and thusly did not feel the same pull that he had. Thorin had to actually make Bilbo fall in love with him, which amused Kili to no end because of how much their two personalities seemed to clash.
Kili hates spending time under the mountain now, he loves Erebor and takes pride in the fact that he was one of the brave few who had reconquered it, but everywhere he looked he saw people being happy with something he did not have.
The feeling went much deeper than those childhood squabbles he had had with Fili when the two pebbles would play together. Jealousy over toys was easily remedied, the ache that had recently taken up residence in Kili’s heart was much more difficult to push aside or fix.
So he had taken to going for walks. He had volunteered himself too many times to be the point of contact for the King of Dale. He had told Thorin it was because he wanted to prove that he could be trusted with matters of diplomacy. He might not be next in line, but he was still a prince and could take care of these things. It was on one of these trips to Dale that Kili met the very person who would change his life.
She was of the race of men and seemed to work in one of the few taverns that housed the nightlife of the town. Kili was in a sort of informal meeting with Bard, his son Bain, and the Captain of the Guard. They were discussing a deal between the two kingdoms where Erebor would provide the army of Dale with iron-forged armor and weapons and in turn, Dale would pledge their allegiance to the kingdom under the mountain in any future battle. Kili couldn’t help but find the humor in the reversal of roles as if the company had not asked and pledged the same things five years ago. This clause was only one of the facets that made up the current peace treaty in the works. It was Kili’s idea to have the meeting in a less tense and stuffy room than they were previously held in.
“Everybody has to eat Bard, why don’t we eat and talk at the same time? I’m sure we’d all be much more comfortable.” Bard had agreed at the behest of Bain who had laughed and reminded his father of the last time he had had a proper meal. After that, the men had embarked towards Bard’s favorite tavern. And judging by the way he had jovially called out to the man behind the bar, he was at least acquainted with the people who worked there.
Their waitress was a beautiful woman, who had skills like Kili had never seen, and he had been in a lot of taverns. She was able to carry three trays of piping hot food at the same time and at one point he had even seen her stack and move at least twelve pint glasses to a rowdier table towards the back of the establishment. And she did all this with the most beautiful smile he had ever seen.
If only he would actually get to talk to her. The tavern was busy and she seemed to be one of the only other people working besides the man behind the bar and whoever was preparing the food to be served. She was never in the same place for a very long time. After she had gotten their initial order she had placed their pints down and immediately zipped off to fulfill the next request.
Without the ability to actually talk to her, Kili had to settle for second-hand knowledge. “So what can you tell me about the woman who served us?” Kili asked nobody in particular.
“Why, do you fancy her?” Came Bain’s reply.
“No, but any woman that can carry that much and move that fast without wasting a drop is certainly one I want to get to know.”
“Her name is y/n, She’s apprenticed to Brant, the man who owns this tavern. She arrived in Dale a year or two ago. I think she's from Bree but she's settled here. I think she has an arrangement with him, when he finally retires the place will be hers.” Bard had explained, throwing a somewhat scolding glance at his son. Kili might be young and more carefree than his uncle but he is still a prince and Bard did not wish to offend him.
“Interesting, any idea why she left Bree? It’s quite a long journey to take on your own.” Kili asked.
“Why don’t you ask her?” A third, much more feminine voice replied. Kili who had not seen her make her way over to their table, had nearly jumped out of his skin. The other men tried and failed to hide their amusement at his predicament. “After all, I’m sure she’d be willing to tell you as long as she didn’t catch you talking about her when she wasn’t around.” She had said all of this with a smile spread across her face and delight in her voice. Kili wasn’t really sure how she felt about his impolite inquiries, but she hadn't chased him out of the establishment with a broom yet, so he thought he was okay.
“I’ve gotten everyone else settled and thought I’d come visit the King, how are you this evening King Bard?” her attention was firmly placed on the King of Dale now, and Kili longed for her piercing gaze to once again land on him.
“I’ve told you, it’s just Bard, all of this King nonsense will just go to my head,”
“Of course King Bard.” She smirked and turned towards the rest of the men. “Anything else I can get you, gentlemen?” With a firm nod at their newest order, she spun and headed back towards the bar.
“I think I’m in love.” Kili had said under his breath.
“I think it’ll take you much more than that to win her over.” Bain had replied, hearing Kili’s self-confession. “Every time we’re in here I see her turn down men. Granted, most of them are usually drunkards but the principle is all the same.”
Kili was certain that the fluttering in his chest and the feeling of light-headedness had to mean something. And given that both the feelings had started right after she had spoken to him, he was pretty sure he knew what it was.
“Here you are boys, four more pints and a basket of bread, on the house.” She had placed the basket of bread and little bowls of butter and honey on the table. When she pulled her hand away it bumped into Kili and sent a wave of shocks all the way up his arm.

Smithing While Smitten
Chapter Three: Polite Cats Are a Myth, All of Them Are Ass Holes
Pairing: Thorin Oakenshield x Fem Valar!Reader
Word Count: 1, 617
warnings:swearing, fluff, arguing, Stressed out Thorin, shape shifting, Thorin wears reader like a scarf
A/N:I know there are good kitties, polite cats exist
—Part 1 — Part 2 — Part 3 — Part 4 — Part 5 — Part 6 —
After breakfast the three dwarrow kind of paused and had a silent debate,Thorin eventually looked at you and asked, “do you want to come with one of us to work?"
"you don’t trust me enough to leave me home alone do you? I suppose that’s fair, uh but wouldn’t it be weird if I was loitering around your work place?” you replied.
"A little, but if we explain the situation it should be fine.“ Vili assured you, as he pulled on his coat.
"Or I could just turn into a cat and pretend to be a stray? I’d take up less space and be less suspicious that way.” You suggested.
Thorin echoed, “Or you could turn into a cat, it would probably be better. Who do you want to go with?”
“I’ll stick with you, plus you work out of town it’d be safer for you if I came along, not to mention who else is going to get you home in time for supper? Let me just put on my coat and I’ll be ready to go.” you joked, before casting the spell, once it was complete you burst into flames and all that was left after a moment was a large long haired cat with lavender eyes with fur the same color as the fur on Thorin’s coat. You demanded to be picked up and when he did pick you up you crawled to his shoulders an nestled yourself around his neck. Thorin grumbled, “I don’t know how I feel about this arrangement,” swatting your paws as you kneaded his coat.
As his sister and brother-in-law laughed at him, you purred, “Look on the bright side at least you won’t need a scarf anymore.”
At the forge you sat quietly in the corner with Thorin’s pack, watching him work. Thorin eventually groused, “stop it,” at you.
"Stop what I’m not doing anything,“ you retorted.
He growled, "you’re staring at me, it’s annoying, you’re a cat right now, act like one. Go take a nap or something.”
You grinned as you mused, “Act like a cat you say, sure I can do that,” hopping up on a table and staring at a cup of water that sat near the edge. You glanced up at Thorin and said, “Hey Thorin, is this~”
Thorin interrupted, “Act like a cat.”
You glared at him, lifted a single paw and knocked the tin cup to the ground. When Thorin heard the clang his head whipped around, his sweaty hair plastering to his flushed dirty face, he snapped, “What was that for!”
You huffed, “you said act like a cat, cats knock things over” licking your paw and rubbing it on your head.
"Then be a polite cat, and not an asshole cat,“ He groaned in frustration.
You snickered, "Polite cats are a myth, all of them are assholes.”
"Behave please, do something other than annoy me.“ He begged, leaning his palms on the anvil as his project cooled in his gloved hand, his hair dangling down in front of him like vines from jungle trees. You sighed, "Fine, I’m going to wander around town, I’ll be back before quiting time, "strutting out of the forge.
You wandered around town for a while before sitting on the wall outside the cobbler’s shop, you watched the cobbler’s apprentice fixing a mankey old boot with a torn sole. A few minutes after you arrived a young lady showed up with a smallish box full of food. She called him, "sweetie” is that his name, you thought his name was Hamish. The two of them spent the next half an hour eating the food from the little box that the girl had apparently cooked for him. You watched as they feed each other and stole kisses every once in a while, and laughed, and talked. It seemed like they were have a good old time, they hadn’t stopped smiling since they had been in each others presence. It made you feel a pang of loneliness in your chest, you had seen people do stuff like that for literal ages with out feeling a thing, why did you feel lonely now? You left the wall and on the way back to the forge you saw a food stall selling little boxes of food. It smelt good, you wondered if Thorin has eaten since this morning. You transformed into your human form, turned down the street, used a few gold nuggets to buy a scrap of fabric, and a few more gold nuggets to by two little boxes of food before slipping back into the alley. You tied the boxes up in the fabric before tying the ends up to make a kind of a harness. When you turned back into a cat, you slipped the harness over your head and carried the package to the forge. The boxes were larger than you anticipated, you had to hold your head up high, and waddle slowly down the road, and dodge people who wanted to steal your food.
Thorin stood by the anvil, hammering away at a scythe blade to straighten it, sweat pouring down his chest, he had discarded his shirt on the table behind him, and his hair pulled back into a bun. You stood there for a moment taking him in, your heart racing in your chest. After a moment Thorin paused, sniffing the air, he looked around suspiciously, not really noticing you. You walked over to him and put a paw on his booted foot and asked softly., “Have you eaten lunch yet?”
He jumped and looked down at you, as he barked, “Don’t sneak up on me like that!”
You hopped up on the table and removed the fabric from around your neck and revealed the food. Thorin glared at you and growled, “Did you steal that?”
"No, Thorin I’m a member of the valar specializing in the earth, I can find and create gold and other precious materials at will. So they were paid, fret not, I at least know stealing is frowned upon Thorin I’m not that unsocialized.“ you replied, "Now are you going to eat or what?”
"I’m too dirty to eat that, look at me I’m covered in soot if I ate that after touching it I’d get sick, but thank you for the thought.“ He sighed putting the scythe blade back on the anvil, "Plus I have to finish that stupid piece of crap, and then sharpen it before I can go home and or wash up.”
"But you are hungry right?“ you asked.
His shoulders dropped before grumbling, "Yes, but I will be fine.”
"I understand that this is going to sound weird, but what if I feed it to you. I have no intention of eating this food, so I might as well use my clean hands to put food in your mouth.“ you suggested.
Thorin stared at you for a moment before saying, ” I can’t tell if you’re joking or not.“
"It was a serious suggestion, I’m sorry for being concerned if you ate or not, I’ll just go feed this to the pigeons. I mean it’s not like many people can say they’ve been hand feed by a goddess, excuse me!” you huffed, biting the box of food and starting to drag it to the door.
Thorin picked up the box and said, “I never said no, I just wasn’t sure if you were joking or not I didn’t want to make a fool of myself, "walking over to the table and setting it down, and looked at you expectantly. You hopped up into the chair next to him and reached for the box. Thorin stopped you and said, "Hands not paws please, I get enough fiber in my diet as it is thank you.”
You turned back into a human, opened the box, pulled out a piece of the food, whatever it was, tore off a bite sized piece for Thorin and held it out to him.
Thorin’s beard hairs tickled the tips of your fingers, as he let you place the meat in his open mouth. After he finished off the first box, you asked, “are you full, or do you want to start eating the other box?”
He hoarsely said, “Yes, next box please. It’s been years since I’ve had this dish, not since I lived in Erebor.”
As you tore up the food, you asked, “What even is this stuff, it’s oily.” "It’s breaded and fried chicken,“ He chuckled as you, as you popped a piece in his mouth.
Once he was done eating the chicken, he got back to work on the stubborn blade, you sat at the table watching him still in human form. After about an hour he seemed ready to just throw the damn thing across the room. He leaned over the anvil panting in frustration, you walked over to him and rubbed your hands from his shoulders to his upper arm and hushed, "it’s alright, it’s gonna be okay, why don’t I take a look at it?”
"do you even know anything about blacksmithing?“
You picked up the scythe and murmured, "only what Aule taught me back in the age of Trees, when I lived in Valinor,” looking over the blade.
"You knew Mahal? Personally?“ Thorin exclaimed.
You pointed at yourself and replied, "Goddess of fire, earth, and lightening, so yeah naturally he and I got along. I knew the first of your kind as well.”
"You knew Durin the first!“ he said
” yeah, this should be melted down and recast, it’s full of impurities that make it too brittle to cut more than wheat.“ you huffed
"That’s what I told him!”
