Request: Or, or! Lately, I have been plagued by the thought of a pouty, needy Thor đ„șâ€ïž
He just wants to stay in with his girl, but sheâs got errands to run and places to be, so Thor just sits around pouting, and waiting for her đ
He goes from straight up begging her to stay, possibly in his knees, to sending her some ~spicy~ videos and pics while sheâs gone, trying to lure her home again đ
When she finally gets home, the big, soft bear that he is, he just envelops her, grabs her and holds her đ„ș Maybe he sits her on his cock, rubbing against her like a cat and purring, and refusing to let go until he falls asleep â€ïž
AN: Thank you @lauratang - Iâve tackled your second suggestion first. I hope you enjoy the neediness⊠Iâve decided this is the same pairing as in my Kinktober 22 fic, Food for thought

Summary: Thor is a needy menace.
Relationship: Thor x Agent!Reader
Word Count: 1.7k
CW: Needy Thor, suggestive language, sexting, masturbation, dirty talk, cock-warming, fluff
âBut I want you to stayâŠâ
Oh god, the pathetic way those words came out of his mouth. It was both amusing and endearing at the same time. Unfortunately you didnât have the time to indulge him, no matter how much you might want to.
âThor. Stop it, you big baby. I told you. I have a shift to do and, because you keep eating me out of house and home, I need to stop at the compound store on the way in because there is nothing for me to take for lunch.â
He at least had the good grace to look chagrined at your retort, but it didnât lessen his pout any.
âI will go to the store for you, Skatt. Just stay here with me and I will buy you all the jaffa cookiesâŠâ
âCakesâŠâ
â...Jaffa cakes you like. I will peel them and feed them to you.â He stalked closer to you, blue eyes narrowed, and you giggled as you stepped back, trapped against the hall wall. He lent forward, arms braced either side of your head, his hair swinging in both your faces. âIâll even do that thing you likeâŠâ
With a giggle you ducked under his arm, and gave a slap to his ass.
âCool it, hot stuff. Thereâll be time for that later. I have to go.â
Your giggle turned into a full on laugh when he grabbed your hand and dropped to his knees in front of you. He pushed up your top and pressed his face to your stomach, littering it with kisses.
âBut I might be dead later. How do I go on living without you here? I need you, little one. There is no air without you.â
âOkay, cool it, Shakespeare.â Leaning over you pressed a kiss to his mouth and the another to his forehead, somehow extricating your hand from his in the process. âIâll be back before you know it. Now, sit. Stay.â
You slipped out of the door, shaking your head with a smile on your face.Â
Your God of a boyfriend was so sappy sometimes.
You were in the middle of a meeting, your team leader droning on about mandatory refresher training, reading aloud from their sloppy powerpoint presentation, when you felt the buzz of your phone in your pocket.
Surreptitiously you pulled it out and glanced down
Thor: I miss you, kjĂŠre. What are you doing?
You werenât really in a position to answer him, so you turned your phone over and rested it in your lap under the table.
Buzz
Stifling a sigh you flipped it over again.
Thor: Iâm so lonely without you đ„șđ„șđâ€ïž
Buzz
Thor: When do you get home?
You decided to risk it, and started tapping away, glancing back up every few characters.
You: in a meeting. Home at 4. Read a book/have a nap. Speak later. xoxo
You turned the vibrate alert off and slipped your phone back in your pocket, turning your attention back to the meeting. Supporting the Avengers in keeping the earth safe definitely wasnât all glamour and parades. Sometimes it was lame Powerpoint presentationsâŠ
When your meeting finally finished you were glad that it was lunch time. Youâd managed to pick up an overpriced packaged salad at the store on your way in and were looking forward to tucking in, but first you needed to go to the washroom.
After you dried your hands, you remembered your phone so as you exited the washroom, hand on the door, you pulled it from your pocket. The screen lit up as you touched it, showing a litany of messages. You rolled your eyes and stopped in the hallway outside the washroom, leaning on the wall as you opened your texts⊠and then immediately pressed the screen to your chest, looking around furtively to make sure that no-one had caught a glimpse of your screen. Luckily the corridor was empty.
With more aplomb than you ever thought youâd had, you made your way down the hall to the closest empty conference room. You bolted inside, turned the lock and pulled the window shades so you couldnât be observed. Your body sank into one of the conference chairs, and with trembling hands pulled your phone away from your shirt.
First was another text.
Thor: I tried to sleep, min skatt, but being on the bed made me think of you.
Then, under that was a picture. It was of Thorâs torso, from the waist down, naked apart from a tight pair of boxer briefs that did nothing to hide the bulge within them.
Thor: I need you to come help me. I ache for you.
The last message was followed by a video thumbnail. Underneath the white play symbol in the middle of the image was Thorâs torso once again. You could feel your heart racing, and your mouth was dry as your thumb inched towards your screen and tapped it.
âI need you, little one.â Thorâs deep voice sounded over your phone speaker, laden with desire and you squeezed your thighs together at the sound of it. He had the camera pointed at his tented briefs, and then his other hand came in shot, stroking and groping over the soft cotton, a light tease. âHow could you leave me alone so cruelly, when you know I ache for you every minute of every day? How am I supposed to survive this torture?â
His hand slipped under the waistband of his shorts to take hold of himself, and you watched, transfixed as he started to jerk himself, the tip of his cock poking out of the top of the fabric. Fuck! You could even see a pearl of precum forming in his slit.Â
With each stroke he exposed more and more of himself to the camera, moaning wantonly and talking dirty to you from behind it.
âNorns, if you were here, kjĂŠre, Iâd worship you so. I would feast on you, over and over, just to hear you calling my name so loud that all of Midgard and Vahalla would know who was pleasuring you. I need to feel you around my cock. I need your warmth. Your wetness. Hurry home, love.â
The video came to an end and you just sat there, engulfed in a state of confused arousal.Â
When had Thor learnt how to sext? And how on earth were you supposed to continue with your day knowing that he was waiting at home for you like that? How were you supposed to just sit in the canteen to have your lunch with your pussy pulsing in your now sodden underwear?Â
Curse Thor!Â
Curse the handsome bastard to Jotunheim and back.
Somehow you made it through to the end of your shift, although you were obviously distracted, and twice you snuck off to the bathroom, now with your earbuds, to watch the video again. You also managed not to message Thor back, not wanting to give him any reaction that might make matters better worse.Â
You practically jogged through the main doors and reception of the accommodation part of the compound, swiping your card to access the private elevator and sending it straight to the floor where you stayed with your Asgardian boyfriend. When it stopped, you stepped out, ready to give him a piece of your mind for teasing you all day, but immediately found yourself caught up in a pair of burly arms.
âYouâre home! At last!â He pressed kisses all over your face, before capturing your lips.Â
You squeaked as he hefted you in his arms, his kisses overwhelming your senses.Â
Before you knew it he was pressing you down onto the bed, his hands shedding you of your clothes. It was when his flesh came into contact with yours that you realised he was already naked. His cock nudged your thigh as one of his hands spread your legs apart, cupping your pussy and teasing your entrance.
âSo my little message to you did have an effect.âÂ
You snorted. âOf course it did, you bastard. I was working, not dead⊠oh fuck!â Your sarcastic retort was cut off as he pressed two fingers into you, stretching you out. As he did so, he continued to kiss up and down your neck, nuzzling into you. You moaned, your lust and arousal overriding your need to chew him out for his antics. Your back arched as you sucked air into your lungs, your body so tantalisingly close to the edge.
Then he pulled his fingers away and you whined.
âThor!â
âI know, skatt. I know. Itâs how Iâve felt all day. But Iâll make it better, really soon.â
He rolled the pair of you onto your sides and hooked your upper leg over his hip, opening you to him, and your eyes rolled into the back of your head as he pressed his thick cock inside you. His arms wrapped around your body, ensuring there wasnât even the slightest gap between you. His lips brushed your hair, your temples, your eyelids, and then he kissed your mouth again. You opened to him like a flower in bloom, eager for his impassioned love-making, but when you tried to roll your hips he held them still.Â
âRelax, little one. Youâve been at work all day. You must be tired. Have a nap, my love.â
Your jaw dropped. âBut⊠but⊠you⊠all day⊠I thoughtâŠâ A roughened finger covered your lips, silencing you.
âIâm right where I want to be. Where I need to be. And Iâll still be here when you wake up. Then, kjĂŠre, I will worship you as I promised. But just give me this, let me enjoy you. Besides, youâll need your energy for later.â
He continued with his soft kisses and caresses, his cock buried deep within you, and despite your scepticism about your ability to go to sleep with him like that, you soon felt your eyes closing again, your body going lax as slumber started to encase you.Â
The last thing you heard before sinking into the soft depths was Thorâs voice, gently rumbling in your ear. âI love you, min skatt. You are the most precious treasure in the nine realms.â

Help me
Fandom: MCU Pairing/starring: Thor Odinson &/x Avenger!fem!reader Word count: 1594 Content: Plotting/scheming and carrying out pranks, drinking, some pining and fluffy confessions of love. A/N: Iâm not sure where this came from but I hope you guys like it :) Betaed by my lovely TanteFrutsel-CreativeNurse.
Help me
Youâre bored, having had no missions for a while. Your normal three victims for pranks are all gone on their own businesses but you know Loki is bound to return within a day so now is your chance to get him for the flour in your pockets.
Tiptoeing down the towerâs hallway, your arms are full of rolls of cling wrap.
You settle the tools for your prank beside you as you kneel before the door, knowing better than to expect the Trickster God to leave his door unlocked or untrapped. Using every skill in your arsenal (most taught by Natasha and Loki himself, ironically), you investigate the lock and handle, unlocking the door before moving on to the door itself. Deeply engrossed in the task at hand, you hear the sound of nearing footsteps too late.
âWhat are you doing?â Thorâs voice rumbles behind you, making your heart stutter from the shock of having been caught as well as your usual crush on the god.
On hands and knees, ass up in the air, youâve been trying to squint beneath the door for fear of a trigger to some trap and now you donât dare to glance over your shoulder. âN-nothing?â
âLady [Y/N], are you breaking into my brotherâs chamber?â Thereâs a brief moment in which he clearly takes the scene in fully. âWith...the wrapping from the kitchen? Why?â He truly sounds confounded.
Sighing, you get up from your exposed position, concerned that there are no traps that you can spot but now having to deal with the big brother. âJust...can we pretend you didnât see anything?â You look up into his electric blue eyes that are beginning to hide under furrowed brows.
âIs this one of your pranks?â he asks with a serious tone but you can see a little smile tug at the corner of his mouth.
A sudden thought spurs you on, forcing its way past your shy love for the blond god: âWanna help me? Iâm gonna wrap everything in cling wrap.â
The little grimace turns into a veritable grin. âI am pleased that you ask.â
You allow Thor to push the door open and youâre pleasantly surprised that nothing happens as he enters beyond.
Lokiâs abode is themed in his signature colours: bottle green and gold. The bed is opulent with its canopy and it functions as the centrepiece of the room despite the large, comfy chair and all the bookcases. The rug ties all of it together and brings your attention to the old-fashioned desk on the other side of the room. In other words: there are plenty of things to wrap. Smiling shyly to your new conspirator, you hand over a roll and set to work.
...
Even with Thor helping, it takes a while before everything is wrapped â youâd decided to wrap the items lying around individually too and that included the clothes in Lokiâs closet and his toiletries but at least youâd opted out of doing each book in the bookcases. Thor had been a big help reaching the higher places (sometimes by lifting you onto his shoulders which had set your heart racing all over again).
Now you look at the result, admiring the glistening layer on everything which you know will drive Loki mad.
âWe should get a drink to celebrate,â Thor grins at you over his shoulder as he bends to pick up the empty rolls from the cling wrap.
Youâd like that. Literally any excuse to spend more time with him would be agreeable to you.
...
Youâre well through your umpteenth mojito when Thor interrupts his own tale of past exploits on the battlefield (and your inner musings on your adoration for him) to look over at you with a puzzled look.
âWhat?â you hiccup, your usual reservations long gone.
âMidgardians do not hold their drinks well,â he muses which you take slight offence at â only slight because you do feel the couch tilting beneath you.
With a floomp you fall sideways, with your head near Thor, and grin up at him. âWhat makes you say that?â
âDo you not realize what you have just said?â
âI said...âWhatâ...â Your brows wrinkle as you try to remember anything you might have said before that but come up empty.
Deciding that youâre lying uncomfortably (and missing your drink), you struggle to get back to an upright position and youâre thankful for Thorâs help once more but as you reach out for your glass, he pushes it aside.
âLady [Y/N]...I think you have had enough...â
Gingerly, he scoops you up in his arms, ignoring your pouting, and carries you to your room where he places you gently on the bed. Itâs heavenly soft and you immediately snuggle up. Then you make up your mind, scoot a bit to the side and pat the bed next to you.
âI wanna hear the rest of your story,â you declare.
âTomorrow,â Thor assures you, gently stroking your cheek.
âAw but...but...what if I ask nicely?â you try again. His smile is dazzling but itâs evident that your hope will be dashed and you power on: âLike...if I come with a really good argument, will you stay here?â
He tilts his head like a big golden retriever. âAnd what could you say to impose on you in your current state?â
âIt would make me happy if you stayed? Iâd be sad and have to cry myself to sleep if you left?â
He sighs, âwell we cannot have that.â The mattress dips as he gets in, his head on your spare pillow and legs crossed at the ankles while he laces his fingers over his toned abs. The man truly is a god. âDo you think you can find rest now?â
You contemplate the question, slowly tumbling the words through your hazy brain and coming to the conclusion that it could be even better. Resolutely, you roll over and slap your head onto his chest, an arm wrapped around his abdomen.
âNow I can.â
And sleep truly is already finding you, spurred on by the alcohol. Only a few moments go by before the world grows soft and fuzzy as sleep weighs you down, barely leaving you time to mutter a slurred âI love youâ before your eyes finally drift shut.
...
Peeling your eyes open, youâre happy that the sun can only barely peek past the curtains, leaving the room in shadows which are soothing for your headache. You also realize two things: the first one is that youâre fully clothed which is not a typical way for you to sleep, and the second is that youâre practically glued to someone else...and yeah, you know exactly who this person is.
Craning your neck, you look up through a slight haze and find Thor gazing back at you.
Memories come rushing back in a big jumble that you try to sort through and something tells you that you shouldnât be surprised. He carried you to your room?
âYou stayed?â you croak with a parched throat.
He smiles gently. âYou asked me to...and then, frankly, you held on too tight for me to be able to leave.â
Youâre mortified but it only gets worse the more you remember. And didnât you...oh fuck. A memory laced with sleep makes itself known and removes your attention from the physical discomfort. Three small words that escaped as you drifted off, finally breaking free of their confinements that had kept them secret for so long. Maybe itâs just a dream...or a nightmare, really.
Searching Thorâs face, you can see something has shifted, though. He seems nervous, breath baited and the hand that rests on your back is trembling ever so slightly.
âI do not know if...if you...â heâs searching for the right words, âyou said something before...â
âBefore I fell asleep?â you wince and he nods, taking away your last hope that maybe you havenât betrayed yourself.
He squirms, clearly as uncomfortable with the situation as you are. Oh fuck, he hates me now. Needing distance, you detach yourself from his side. Your plan is to roll away from him, to get up...preferably to walk away for forever. But his large hand engulfs your wrist â not tight enough that you couldn't break away, but the gesture is enough to stop you. Still, you can't face him, afraid of what you might learn if meeting his gaze.
âPlease, lady [Y/N]...â thereâs a quiver to his voice, âI must know if those were merely drunk warbles or if...if I stand a chance...â
Stand a chance? His choice of words makes you finally seek out his electric blue eyes and you find a flicker of something youâve never noticed before but in retrospect has always been there: adoration. Love?
Hope blooms within you. âI...I love you,â you whisper.
âNorns be blessed!â he gasps. His face nearly splits in a huge grin. âThis means that my feelings for you are not unrequited. [Y/N]...please know that my heart belongs to you, now and forever.â
You gape at him for a moment, trying to fathom what heâs just said and eventually managing to come to the only possible conclusion. A shy smile curls your lips. All the dread that had filled you moments before is gone, replaced by a surge of warm joy that makes you move up flush to the god who happily wraps you in his arms. A kiss lands on your forehead and you chase his lips with your own, knowing that you finally can have the real thing and not just a daydream.

The Princess (and the chaos she brings with her) - steve rogers x fem!reader (1/?)
Summary: when Thor asked the avengers to guard a dear friend of his, they didn't think twice before saying yes. What they didn't know was that said friend is the princess of one of the nine realms, and a lost love of one Captain Rogers.
Part 1 // I thought you were dead // word count: 3.5k
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"(y/n), you have to eject, right now!" Steve screamed over the torrents of wind whistling through the ship. Schmidt was dead, gone. So was the tesseract. But it wasn't over yet. "I have to put her in the water!"
The girl behind him widened her eyes, battling against the elements to reach him. "There's no world in which I let you do that, Captain!"
"I'm not asking for permission!"
"Well then, I guess we go down together!" She painstakingly made her way to him, every step a feat of strength. Her previously neatly pinned curls no longer even resembled what they once were as her hair whipped around her face.
As Steve turned to face her, she somehow still looked angelic. He felt that right now, she was more heavenly than ever. He couldn't let her die with him.
"Buckle in." He commanded, as they began their quick descent. He looked at her, the first woman who had ever made him feel seen, the only person he had ever met who was as crazy as he was.
As the ice flew closer, he turned and placed a hand tenderly on her face. Tears welled in his eyes as his mind wandered to the future they could've had. God, they could have been amazing.
"I'm sorry, (y/n)." He whispered. She could only just hear it, even though they were right next to each other.
He pulled the yellow ejection lever on the seat she had just buckled herself into, watching as her eyes widened. "No! Steve, no!" She lifted her hands to stop him, to jam the lever, anything to stay with him. She wasn't quick enough.
Steve closed his eyes as her seat was ejected, hearing her scream his name. There was no world where he allowed her to go down with him, and he trusted that wherever she ended up, Stark and Peggy would find her. He hoped they would be able to find him, too.
He hadn't prayed in a long time, but as he went down, he bargained with God for her safety.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"It is my honour to introduce the new and improved Captain America and the Howling Commandos exhibit, in honour of the 100th birthday of Captain Steven Grant Rogers." The crowd clapped as the senator stepped off the podium, motioning for Steve to take the mic. Bucky and Sam laughed at how uncomfortable the Captain was as he stood thanking everyone for an exhibit he never wanted. All part of the job, he supposed.
After the handshakes, and the photo ops, and the autographs and the meet and greets, the boys finally got relative peace to wander around the new exhibition.
"I can't believe you used to wear these stupid suits." Sam laughed, standing in front of the main exhibit. Bucky sighed, budging Sam's shoulder. "Says the asshole who wears a bird suit to fight." He retorts.
Steve laughed at his friends antics, but walked away when he noticed an addition to the exhibit he hadn't seen before. He stared, wide eyed at the name in front of him.
(Y/N): THE MISSING HERO?
Steve found himself drinking in every inch of the gorgeous photo underneath the text, her bright smile and barely visible freckles. The lighting highlighted the different hues in her immaculately pinned hair. She looked just like an angel, as she always did in real life.
Steve looked down, forlorn eyes investigating very few artefacts in the glass exhibit. Her folded uniform, found in her room after the plane went down. The blush lipstick you wore every day. Finally, an object that Steve didn't recognise. A golden ring, encrusted in unidentified jewels and a family crest no one knew. He frowned.
He had known her only a short few months, but he regretted never asking about her family. And now, it would haunt him that he never did until his last breath.
"They never found her, huh?" Bucky placed his covered hand on Steve's shoulder, a sadness tinged in his voice. He had only met (y/n) briefly, but he knew even then that Steve's heart rested in the palm of that woman's hand.
He had asked about her, once, but the look on Steve's face when her name was mentioned told him everything he needed to know.
"No. Howard searched for years, found nothing. Turned out that she had lied on her intake forms for the SSR, too. We don't even know if (y/n) was really her name." He took a beat. "We have no idea if she survived or not."
Steve didn't have to make the subtext clear, Bucky knew he worried that he had killed her by ejecting her from that plane. Bucky also knew there was no sense in trying to tell him she would have died either way, that the ice would've killed her.
"You okay?" Bucky asked, after another few moments of silence.
Steve nodded, looking at the photo. "I'm glad she's remembered. I just wish I didn't have so many unanswered questions."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"So," Tony started. "Thor is arriving with the guest of honour later today, who we have agreed to protect here for the meantime. We don't have a lot of background for this one. The dark elves are the ones we're protecting her against, but Thor said threat could come from many areas. Do we have any questions?"
The team looked nothing short of bored. Well, most of them. Cap always had the good grace to sit up and look interested. Scott was straight up asleep.
"Is she important? How long will she be staying with us?" Steve asked.
"No idea, and uh, no idea. Anything else?"
"Is she single?" Sam asked, earning a laugh from some of the others. Steve shook his head disapprovingly, but smiled at his friend's levity.
As Steve stood up to go back to training, FRIDAY sounded around the room. "Excuse me everyone, my satellites have detected a bifrost signal heading for the compound imminently."
"Speak of the devil!" Tony clapped his hands as everyone headed out to the bifrost landing site (something that had been instituted after Tony's lawn got scorched one too many times).
Bucky smacked Scott upside the head to wake him up with a jolt. "Oh, where are you guys going?" He called behind them, jogging to catch up. Steve waited behind from him, laughing at his groggy friend.
A bright light connected with the grass just beside the landing site. Tony's hands covered his eyes as he mouthed are you fucking kidding me. When the light cleared, Thor stood tall in his usual armour.
"My friends!" His voice boomed, "I present to you, my fellow avengers, the honourable princess of Alfheim, jewel of the Alfar and ambassador to Asgard." Thor's voice boomed through the halls of the compound. "This is my friend, (y/n)."
Beside Thor stood a girl. She was breathtakingly beautiful, with a heavenly stature. She looked like she could have been carved from marble by the hands of God himself.
A light Asgardian pink dress was covered by a golden chest-plate which fit her body like it had been moulded just for her. It was covered in intricate etchings of suns and stars, which caught the light and shone brilliantly. She wore golden jewellery, which was nothing like the avengers had ever seen. Golden ear cuffs covered her pointed ears, with her long hair pulled into an up-do, emphasising the golden, bejewelled tiara on her head.
"Princess?" Sam squeaked. Wanda smacked him, with a look that screamed don't embarrass us.
Tony tilted his head in confusion at the guest, who he could almost swear he recognised from somewhere. "Thor, you did not inform us that we were looking after the ruler of a planet. We would have been more prepared."
"I am not ruler yet, Mr. Stark." The girl cast her eyes up at Tony, as she smiled sweetly. Her voice was honey smooth, and anyone who heard it felt themselves being charmed by it. "I have heard much about you all from Thor."
"Should we bow?" Bruce whispered to Tony, who shrugged his shoulders. Thankfully, (y/n) took the lead and shook each of their hands.
She looked around at each of the gathered avengers. Thor made his introductions to the rest of the group. "Where are the others?" Thor enquired.
"Here!" Steve smiled at the site of his old friend, his view of the princess obscured by the large man. Bucky and Scott tagged behind him, also happily greeting Thor.
"Captain, it is very good to see you. Please, let me introduce you to the Princess (y/n)." Thor stepped aside to introduce them, but his eyebrows knitted together in confusion when neither of them moved, almost frozen in place.
"Uh... hi." Scott side-stepped the Captain and caught the eye of their guest. "My name's Scott Lang."
The girl tore her eyes away from the captain, unsure really on what to do. But her training kicked in, knowing that being rude was one of the worst sins a princess could commit. "Hello, Mr. Lang. I am (y/n)."
"Holy shit." Bucky breathed out.
The rest of the avengers watched the rather silent exchange with confusion. It was very unlike Steve to get so tongue-tied, and he would never be so rude as to not introduce himself.
"Captain Rogers..." The girl spoke first, confusing them further. "I believed you dead." Tears had welled in her eyes, intriguing the observing crowd even more.
"I thought you were dead." He breathed. "What... what is going on?"
Bucky interjected. "Um, hi. I'm Bucky, we met briefly in '45."
She smiled softly at him, but her eyes betrayed her confusion. "Sergeant Barnes, of course! Didn't you... also die?"
"Yeah, we've all got a lot of explaining to do." Bucky laughed as the absurdity of the situation caught up to him.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Thor's eyes darted between his friend and the captain. When Thor asked the avengers to guard her from the war on Alfheim, he knew some hijinks would ensue. This is not what he expected. He knew you had spent some time on Midgard before and when you returned you were emotionally distraught. He had simply figured the war you had fought with the Midgardians had taken it's toll.
He eyed both the Captain and you, suspiciously. You were his dear friend, but you had never talked to him about any mortal love.
"So, Princess. You've been here before." Tony enquired.
The Princess licked her lips nervously, glancing at Steve, who had barely moved a muscle, his eyebrows furrowed. "Yes, Mr. Stark. I spent some time here during the second world war. I left Midgard when Johann Schmidt was defeated, and haven't returned since."
"Tell us about your world, Princess. I've never heard of it before." Natasha, the red-head in the corner, asked the guest.
"You have heard of it before." The princess smiled, explaining. "I believe we are now known as a fantasy character here - you call us elves." She pointed to her pointed ears as each avenger clung to her words.
Thor smiled at his Midgardian friends' curiosity.
"The Alfar still live amongst you, they are simply unseen. I believe you may know Tolkien?" At the mention of the author's name, everyone's ears pricked. "He was one of my father's greatest friends and many of his book settings were inspired by Alfheim."
"What!" Scott exclaimed. "That's insane."
"Really, Ant Man?" Bucky responded, pointing out that they were all ridiculous, when you thought about it. The world was crazy now.
The princess chuckled, and rose from her seat at the conference table. "Thank you very much for your hospitality, Avengers. I would quite like to rest in my chambers, if you would be so gracious to allow me."
"Um, yeah... consider yourself allowed." Tony stumbled over his words. Very unusual for him, and it did not go unnoticed by the others. "Dinner is at seven."
"Thank you, Mr. Stark. Captain Rogers," She addressed the Captain, who looked up quickly. His face was pale, and he nervously twiddled his thumbs. "Would you be so kind as to show me my rooms?"
He popped up, almost comedically fast. "Yes. Yeah, sure. Um, this way." He walked out quickly, darting his eyes back to make sure the princess was following him.
She followed, gracefully. Her skirts fanned out behind her as she walked. The avengers in the room could scarcely take their eyes off her as she faded from sight.
As soon as the door closed behind them, the room devolved into chaos. People shouting theories and questions left, right and centre. Mostly, everyone was just bewildered. Bucky and Thor discussed how they had both known the couple separately, and whether each had talked about the other.
Natasha watched as Tony sat quietly on his tablet for a few seconds, searching for something she could only assume was relevant to the discussion at hand.
"Bucky, what's the deal there?" Clint asked.
He was interrupted by Tony. "Aha!" Stark called, silencing the room. "I knew I recognised her from somewhere."
He projected a photograph to the wall, and the avengers gasped.
The photograph consisted of Steve and Bucky front and centre. Bucky had his left arm wrapped lazily around Tony's dad, Howard. And Steve was looking directly at the girl next to him, holding her to him by the waist. It was the princess. The gaze he looked at her with... it was like nothing they had ever seen from him.
"They didn't just know each other, they were in love." Bucky replied to Clint's question, a hint of sadness underneath his words.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
(Y/n) followed Steve along the large corridors of the compound, her smaller legs working double time to match his long strides. They walked in silence, for the most part. It wasn't the comfortable kind.
"Captain." She spoke first, again. As she called for him, he stopped walking abruptly, turning slowly. He met her gaze and then cast his eye down.
"(y/n)... I mean, um, Princess." He responded.
"(y/n) is sufficient." She whispered, almost guiltily. "I can't believe you're alive..."
"I can't believe you're alive," He retorted. "I searched for you, when I woke up. They couldn't find any records of you other than your enlistment form, and they found you had lied. People think you're just a ghost story..."
He took a breath. "I can't believe you're here and... an alien princess?"
"I know it's hard to believe, I hope you understand why I couldn't tell you back then." She laughed. "When I found that you and Sergeant Barnes were dead, I couldn't face being here anymore... I returned to Alfheim."
As she thought back on it, a tear sprung to her eye. On seeing her reaction, Steve couldn't help himself but place a friendly hand on her back, rubbing soothing circles. She briefly froze at the contact, but quickly, she moved her own hand down his arm until she was holding onto his hand with both of hers.
So much went unsaid, but the contact confirmed what they had both most desperately wanted to know. Would it be the same?
"If I had known that you and Sergeant Barnes were alive, Captain..." She admitted. "I would have returned in an instant, I give you my word."
He smiled, rubbing a thumb over the back of her hand. A red blush hugged her cheeks as he did so.
It was typical of him that he couldn't concentrate on the moment, "Why are you here?" He asked. "What are we protecting you from?"
She sighed. "The Svartalfar, or the dark elves. You may know them - they attacked Thor in the Midgardian city of London some years ago now." He nodded in recognition.
"They are determined to conquer Alfheim, and have set their sights on my family. They have already managed to get close to killing me."
She pushed the collar of her dress down, showing a large, angry, red scar just above her collarbone. His hands flew up to trace the scar. She gulped at the close contact, her eyes meeting his.
His expression gave away his concern, knowing that Thor had suggested she was in a lot of danger. "Don't worry, Princess. You're safe here." He smiled, softly. "We'll protect you with everything we've got."
"Thank you, Captain."
"It's just Steve." He unhooked their hands, and gave her his arm. She linked her arm in his, and he resumed wandering down the halls to her rooms. "Do you have any bags?"
"No, I fled to Asgard with nothing when I needed healing. The Asgardians were kind enough to offer many gorgeous clothes for me to bring, but I figured they were a bit conspicuous."
Steve laughed, "Yeah, they might be."
They walked for a little while longer, before Steve entered a room to the side. It was rather basic compared to what she was used to, but it would more than suffice for the meantime.
"This is your room." He stood by the door as she entered. "I'm just down the hall if you need anything. I'll get Tony to send you some less conspicuous clothes. See you at dinner."
"Thank you, Steven." He laughed at her inability to be too informal with him. He nodded at her, and turned to walk down the hall to his room.
As he entered, the photograph of her from the Smithsonian caught his eye from the nightstand. He picked it up, tracing her features with his finger - unable to stop the smile spreading across his face. Who would've thought? Not only was his girl alive, she was also alien royalty. Sometimes, just sometimes, he adored his strange, strange world.
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
"Sir," The agent walked into the dark room with purpose in her every step. "The Princess has been spotted."
The man in the chair looked up at the mention of his target. "Show me" he ordered. He watched as agent transferred the images on her tablet to the big screen, showing grainy, far away surveillance of the avengers compound.
As low quality as the image was, the woman arriving with Thor in the distinctive Alfar dress and armour was certainly the princess.
"Oh, my dear..." The man's deep voice dragged out. "You have walked right into our sights."

We're a Family
Summary: You and Natasha are taking your first vacation since the birth of your 5-year-old daughter. While you and Natasha are off on a romantic getaway to Paris for your anniversary, how will your Avengers family handle watching your daughter for the weekend?
Pairings: Natasha Romanoff x Reader
Genre: Fluff, Comfort, Romance
Word Count: 4.3k
Warnings: Some mentions of grief.
A/N: Thank you so much for the positive feedback on Come Home to Me! I hope to keep writing as I feel inspired and have time. This story takes place after the events of Endgame. Tony survived defeating Thanos with the Snap, and Steve brought Natasha back after returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.
âAre you sure this is a good idea?â Natasha questioned for the third time that Friday morning as you gathered the last essentials for your 5-year-old daughter to take to the Avengers Compound. You and Nat were taking your first vacation together since your child's birth in celebration of your wedding anniversary. Understandably, your wife was struggling with the idea of leaving your daughter. It was all you could do to convince Natasha to drop her off at preschool, let alone leave her overnight.Â
âLove, weâve talked about this. Itâs only for the weekend. Mila is going to have a great time. Besides, there is nowhere safer for her than surrounded by Avengers. You trust them with your lifeâ, you remind her reassuringly as you rub gentle circles on her back.
âExactly. My life, not my child,â Nat muttered.
It had been five years since you gave birth to your and Natashaâs daughter. Your whole world changed from the moment you both laid eyes on her. Soon after, Nat transitioned into semi-retirement with guidance from Clint. She was still available for consultation and recruit training or if the situation was dire, but you and Mila are her number one priority now.
You heard little feet padding down the hall as your daughter entered your bedroom. Her red curls bounced up and down on her head. âI'm ready, Mommy and Mama!â Mila squealed.Â
âOh, Moya Lyubov, you look so pretty! Did you dress yourself this morning?â Natasha asked, getting down to her level. Â
âYes! I wanted to match Auntie Yelena!â as she showed off her mini black vest that Yelena made her for her last birthday, worn expertly over her pink tutu.Â
âAuntie Yelena is going to love it, sweetheart. Youâre going to have so much fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,â hugging her tight.
After packing your luggage in the car, you drive to the compound. FRIDAY greets you as you exit the main elevator. âGood morning, Ms. Romanoff, Ms. Y/L/N.â The team is awaiting your arrival in the common room.â
âThank you, FRIDAY,â you replied as Mila let go of Natashaâs hand and ran ahead of both of you, having been here several times already in her young life.
As you enter the room, you see Wanda and Vision in the kitchen, and the smell of freshly baked cookies wafts through the air. Peter and Kate are playing video games, Bucky and Sam are playing cards with Clint, and Steve is quietly reading Moby Dick.Â
âLittle spider!â Yelena called out as she entered the room, and Mila ran into her arms. Â
âAuntie Yelena! Do you like my outfit? I got dressed all by myself!âÂ
âI love it, malayshka. It's so much cooler than Mamaâs outfit,â Yelena says as she side-eyes her older sister with a smile. âWe are going to have so much fun this weekend.â
âYeah, about that,â Natasha interrupted. âMission briefing in five.â
Mission briefing?" you asked, confused. "Love, we're going on vacation, not a stakeout.â
âYes, but they have the most important mission of all, watching our daughter,â motioning to the group before you.
Your heart warms at how protective your wife wasâthe Black Widow. She was a woman who would run into a collapsing building or intercept an alien invasion without batting an eye, but the moment she became a mother, everything changed. She vowed to give Mila everything she never had as a child. To break the cycle of uncertainty and pain that the Red Room forced upon her. Truthfully, you were so proud of how far Natasha had come. From growing up believing love was for children to giving nothing but love to both of you.Â
Just then, Tony and Bruce entered the living room, arguing over their latest nanotech calculations, with Pepper following closely behind.Â
âHey, Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, park it,â Natasha declared.Â
âAh, Rushman, wonderful to see you as always,â Tony says, winking at Nat. She rolled her eyes in response as Tony and Bruce hugged you before sitting down, and Pepper picked up your daughter.
âCome on sweetie, do you want to go play with Morgan?â Pepper asked.
âYay!â Mila cheered as they walk down the hall to Morganâs room.
âOkay, here are some quick dos and donâts for this weekend. No guns, no repulsor rays, no arrows, and no using our daughter as a beta test subject for any new experiments. When Thor gets here, no Asgardian beverages in front of our child. Milaâs bedtime is 7 pm, and she likes it if you do the characters' voices when you read her bedtime story. If she has trouble falling asleep, a lullaby usually does the trick. Got it?â
âGeez, this is almost as bad as Budapest,â Clint whispered to Kate.
âItâs going to be alright, Natasha,â Wanda reassured. âWeâre a family. You know we would do anything for that little girl. Please, go and enjoy your anniversary. No one deserves some special alone time more than you twoâ, Wanda says as she hands you a tin of freshly baked chocolate chip cookies for the trip.Â
You put your arm around Natasha and kiss her cheek. âWanda is right, my love. Mila will be fine.âÂ
Just as you complete the sentence, Mila runs back into the room. âMommy, Mama! Morgan has Puss and Boots: The Last Wish, and we will watch it tonight before bedtime.âÂ
âThat sounds like so much fun, sweetheart! I know you will be a good girl for your aunts and uncles, and Mommy and Mama will see you on Sunday night, okay? We love you so much.â you said.Â
âOkay, Mommy. I love you!â She said as she hugged you so tight. Natasha knelt to kiss your daughter on the cheek and squeezed her hand three times. Their unique way of saying I love you. After one last hug and kiss, you walk to the Quinjet. Tony had offered one for easy and convenient travel.Â
*^~^*
By the time you arrive at your hotel in Paris, itâs almost dinner time. After sightseeing, you two enjoyed a gourmet candlelit dinner under the Parisian moon and a romantic stroll under the stars. When you returned to your room, you received a text message from Clint with a photo of your daughter asleep on her bedâlovingly cuddled under a blanket with Yelena.Â
âSee, sheâs okay,â you said lovingly as Natasha smiled at the picture of her little girl and her little sister.
As you lay in bed that night, you feel more grateful than ever to be here with the love of your life. Both of you had learned firsthand to never take anything for granted.
You were one of the lost souls left behind after the Blip. Struggling with the loss of your loved ones, you began attending Steveâs Brooklyn Support Group once a week. It was after one of those meetings that you were first introduced to the Black Widow.Â
Natasha hesitated at first to let anyone in. She was too scared to lose anyone else and was convinced that nothing should take away from her commitment to bring everyone back. However, she still found any excuse to attend Steveâs meetings. Whether that was to bring homemade peanut butter sandwiches for the snack table or shyly offering to give you a ride home.Â
You werenât a hero or a super soldier. You didnât remind Natasha of the guilt she carried over the last five years as the fallout from the Blip continued. You were just yourself, which Natasha loved the most about you. You began to visit her at the compound, and slowly but surely, the walls came down for both of you.Â
When she told you about the Time Heist, you didnât want to hear it. You couldnât comprehend the thought of losing Natasha, but you knew she believed in her heart that she owed it to everyone they had lost to try. When Clint returned from Vormir alone and dropped to his knees, so did you. Grief overtook you all over again.
As the Battle for Earth became inevitable, the team hid you in a safe house off the grid. Days went by and you lost track of time, stuck in your grief and unaware of what was happening. It wasn't until a knock on your door awoke you in the middle of the night that you dropped to your knees again. This time in shock at the sight of Natasha on your doorstep. Tears streaming down her face, she told you they had won. Tony defeated Thanos with the Snap, and Steve performed a miracle by bringing her back upon returning the Soul Stone to Vormir.Â
So much life has happened since then. You were married in a beautiful autumnal ceremony shortly after Nat returned and bought your house. Five years ago and twelve hours of labor later, you welcomed your daughter into the world that your wife sacrificed herself to save. You couldnât believe how much you loved them both. Returning to the present moment, you gently move a strand of Natashaâs unbraided red hair away from her face. Her hands move effortlessly to the nape of your neck, and you lose yourself in her touch.
*^~^*
Itâs Saturday morning back at the compound, and Mila is eating blueberry pancakes when Clint strolled in from his morning workout.Â
âHey, squirt! Those pancakes look amazing. Did Auntie Wanda make those?â he asked, reaching for the extra plate of pancakes on the counter.Â
Before Mila can respond, the plate glides quickly away from him, enveloped in Wandaâs red magic. âAuntie Wanda did make those, but theyâre only for adorable little girls named Mila. Is your name Mila?â Wanda said to Clint with a raised eyebrow.
âNo,â Clint grumbled.
âThen make your breakfast, Hawkeye,â Wanda sighed, patting him on the back.Â
After breakfast, Sam and Bucky take Mila outside to play. Meanwhile, Steve is working on a mission report in his room when FRIDAY interrupts his concentration. âMr. Rogers, Iâm picking up an elevated heat signature from your shield just north of your location.â Steve looked curiously out the window to see Mila giggling as she slid across the grass. She is sitting on his overturned shield, pulled by a rope tied to the back of Red Wing.Â
âMy shield is not a toy!â Steve yelled out the window.Â
âOh, hey, Cap! It does make a great sled, doesnât it?â Bucky answered, pretending not to hear what his best friend said, as Sam laughed out loud.Â
Steve shakes his head to hide his smile. You meant the world to him, having spent countless hours processing your grief together in that dark and dank recreation room in Brooklyn. He was honored when you and Natasha asked him to be Milaâs godfather. His shield was made from Vibranium, after all. If his goddaughter wanted to play with it, he knew no harm would be done.Â
That afternoon, Peter arrived at the compound to work on his newest suit upgrade with Tony. Mila is engrossed in coloring at the kitchen table with Auntie Kate when Peter walks in to get a soda.Â
âHey Mila, what are you up to?â
âColoring, do you want to help us?â Mila asked happily.Â
Peter nodded, and they got lost in her Disney Princess coloring book for the next twenty minutes. After adding pretty sparkles to Elsaâs Frozen dress, Mila noticed Peterâs Spider-Man suit sticking out of his bag.Â
âPretty!â Mila said with wide eyes.
âYou like it?â Peter asked.
âYes, is this how you fly? Mama says you can fly!â Mila exclaimed.Â
âSomething like that,â Peter chuckled and tousled her hair.Â
Down in the lab, Tony had been waiting for Peter to arrive for half an hour. Unusual, as his protege was typically annoyingly punctual. Running out of patience, Tony asks FRIDAY for Peterâs current location.
âMr. Parker is in the kitchen with Ms. Bishop and the young Ms. Romanoff, sir.â Tony rolls his eyes as he trudged up the stairs.
âHey Hawkette, have you seen Peter? He was supposed to â â
Tony stops as he sees Peter swinging from the ceiling with Mila on his back. Kate was too busy filming the spectacle on her phone to notice Tony standing there.Â
âWee!! Faster, Uncle Peter!â Mila shouted as Peterâs web carried them across the room to the top of the bookcase.Â
Tonyâs eyes follow the pair around the room. He put on his best poker face, âI wonât tell Romanoff or her better half, but if you break it, you pay for it. That includes the kid.â Tony warned.
âSure thing, Mr. Stark,â Peter gives Tony a thumbs up.Â
âAnd for Godâs sake, at least put some pillows down on the floor!â Tony hollered as he walked back to his lab.Â
*^~^*
You and Natasha took a Saturday evening cruise down the Seine River in the city of love. It was magical. When your phone alerted you to an incoming FaceTime from Carol, you had seen the MusĂ©e dâOrsay the Notre Dame Cathedral and had just reached the top of the Eiffel Tower. You swiped, her face appearing on the screen.
âHey, you two, I just wanted to let you know that Iâm going to be on Earth-616 tomorrow for a meeting with Fury and thought Iâd drop in on my favorite couple. Wait, where are you?âÂ
âParis, for our anniversary! Our first vacation alone in over five years. Can you believe it?â you said giddily as Natasha put her arms around your waist and lovingly kissed your cheek.Â
âWow, thatâs wonderful! Whereâs your little mini-me?â Carol asked.
âWith the team if youâre going there anyway, could you just make sure that everything is good with Mila?â Natasha inquired.Â
âOf course. You know you never have to ask.â
âThank you, Carol,â you gratefully respond. Weâll be back tomorrow evening, so Iâm sure weâll see you then.â Carol gave you a mock salute before you ended the call and put your phone back in your coat pocket.Â
âYou look so beautiful, dorogaya. After all this time, I still can't believe youâre mine.â Nat waxed poetically as she removed her scarf and wrapped it around your neck. Natasha could not look more beautiful in the glow of the Eiffel Tower. You decided this is the perfect moment to give her your anniversary gift. You slowly hand her the red velvet box you had snuck into your satchel. Her green eyes went wide at the sight of it.
âDetka! We said no gifts this year. This trip is gift enough,â Nat facetiously scolded.
âI know, but I still wanted to do something special for you,â you said sheepishly.Â
Natasha opens the box, revealing a simple, delicate gold heart locket necklace. Upon opening the pendant, she is greeted by a candid photo of all three of you. Clint took one during your last visit with his family in Iowa. Nat was sitting on Clintâs front porch with a smiling Mila on her lap. You are leaning behind her with your arms wrapped lovingly around her neck. It quickly became one of your favorite photos of your small yet precious family.Â
âThis is so beautiful, Moya Lyubov. Can you put it on me?â
You moved Natashaâs braid away from her neck and clasped the necklace in the back. The heart locket fell directly on top of her own heart. It looked perfect on her. You're not sure who leaned in first, but your lips met in a kiss that made your stomach flutter like it was the first time. You couldnât be happier than you were at that moment.Â
*^~^*
The Sunday morning sun was slowly breaking through the compound windows. Yelena was pouring your daughter a bowl of Cheerios and singing along to the sound of American Pie from her phone when The God of Thunder entered through the Bifrost. Mila jumped and started to hide behind her Auntie Yelena but ran toward him when she realized only her Uncle Thor was materializing before them, leaving his trademark on Pepperâs Persian rug.Â
âMust you do that every time? Youâre becoming more of a poser than my sister.â Yelena remarked.Â
âOf course,â Thor said nonchalantly. âIt is the only entrance fit for the God of Thunder.â
He lifted Mila with one arm, âOdinâs Beard! Youâve gotten so big since I last saw you, Mila,â Thor declared
âI know! Did you bring me a present Uncle Thor?â Mila squealed.Â
âYes! Now, letâs see here⊠Asgardian Ale, Mead, no⊠ah, here it is!â He handed the little girl a small snow globe set in gold with her name engraved elegantly on the base.
âWow. Pretty snow globeâŠ.â Mila whispered.Â
âIt is indeed,â Thor said, sitting cross-legged on the carpet before the little girl. âThis is a special Asgardian snow globe. Look, see the rainbow bridge inside it?â He pointed. âMost importantly, Lady Mila, if you shake it, I shall be there in a flash. If ever you need me, I will be there.â
âThank you, Uncle Thor!â Mila said as she wrapped her arms around his neck. Iâm going to show it to my Teddy Bear!â Running to her bedroom.Â
âYou spoil her, you know,â Yelena stated with a smirk, as she began to clean up the kitchen.Â
âI know, but she is such a grand example of goodness and joy in such a tiny human. She deserves the world.â Thor declared.
Carol arrived shortly after lunch. After a short meeting with Fury in the conference room regarding upcoming mission targets, she finds your daughter in the compound courtyard. She is wearing her vest to match her favorite auntie as Yelena demonstrates the newest tricks Fanny has learned.
âRoll over! Good girl, Fanny!â Yelena praised the dog. Mila takes a treat out of her vest pockets with her tiny hand and tosses it to the Akita.
âWell done, Mila! Before you go home tonight, I will show you what else you can hide inside those pockets,â winking at her niece.Â
âFruits and veggies, right, Yelena?â Carol deadpanned as Mila ran over and jumped into Captain Marvelâs arms.Â
âAuntie Carol! When did you get here?â Your daughter giggled.Â
âJust a little bit ago. I talked to your Mommy and Mama last night. They miss you and canât wait to see you when they get home tonight,â Carol shared before kissing your daughter on the cheek.
*^~^*
As the sun started to sink on the horizon, casting a warm glow over the ancient city of Paris, you found yourself immersed in the rich history of the Louvre museum. You had eagerly anticipated this moment, and after spending the afternoon exploring the countless treasures within the museum's walls, Natasha was determined to ensure you had the chance to lay eyes on the iconic Mona Lisa. As you weaved your way through the bustling crowd of tourists, Natasha's determined presence caused a path to effortlessly clear before you as she kindly asked them to move the fuck over.
You returned to your hotel and enjoyed a plate of chocolate-covered strawberries when Natashaâs phone dinged.Â
Carol: Hey, lovebirds. It's all good here. Mila is doing great and excited to see you when you return. However, you may want to check her vest pockets when you get home for some âspecialâ presents courtesy of Auntie Yelena. đ
Natasha giggled, showing you the text.Â
âThe important thing is that theyâre bonding,â placing a delicate kiss on her temple.Â
Following Wandaâs delicious Chicken Paprikash dinner, your daughter watched Frozen II. Vision attempted to explain the science behind snowflakes to her when Tony strolled into the lounge.
âHey, kiddo, do you want to come to the lab with me and see the new suit modifications that the Jolly Green Giant and I are working on?â
âYay!â Mila said excitedly, jumping up and down.
âSir, Ms. Romanoff indicated there was to be no experimenting with young Ms. Mila while she is in our care.â
âRelax, chrome dome. Weâre just looking at the new holographic mockup.â Picking up Mila and carried her to his lab.Â
*^~^*
After a few hours, Natasha gracefully guided the Quinjet to a smooth landing. As the engines powered down, she took a deep breath and gently reached across the console to grasp your hand. Together, you gazed out at the glittering lights of the team living quarters in the distance.
"Thank you for making our anniversary so wonderful," you said. "I love you so much. I know it was tough for you to leave Mila for three days, but not only did we have a beautiful anniversary, but our daughter got to spend meaningful time with her family, which she will always remember." You pressed a kiss to her knuckles as Natasha caressed your cheek.
You were right, dorogaya. This was perfect. Iâm sorry I was so nervous about leaving her. I just never thought I would have my happily ever after. That little girl and you are my everything. It breaks my heart every time I leave either one of you.
âI know, my love,â you said quietly. âNow, letâs go get our daughter and go home.â
As you entered the compound, the air was filled with shouting and the excited barking of Fanny and Lucky. Natasha instinctively reached for her spare Widow Bites, but before she could react, both of you heard the unmistakable sound of your daughter's laughter. Following the noise, you entered the common room to find your daughter joyfully running through the compound. She was wearing her pajamas and had one of Tonyâs Iron Man helmets perched on her head while clutching a can of whipped cream. Yelena and the rest of the team were in hot pursuit, with puffs of whipped cream trailing behind her as she raced through the room.
Kate skidded to a stop in front of both of you. âOh, you guys are back. Awesome! Umm, we made ice cream sundaes for dessert. Mila enjoyed hers, as you can seeâ, Kate motioned, breathing heavily.
Mila took her last lap around the couch when she caught sight of you and Natasha.Â
âMommy, Mama! Youâre here!!â she squealed, running into Natashaâs arms.Â
âHi, Moya Lyubov, we missed you so much!!â Natasha said as she wrapped Mila in a big hug before passing her to you to do the same.Â
âIt looks like you had fun with your aunts and uncles this weekend,â removing the helmet and brush a red curl away from her eyes.Â
âI had so much fun, Mommy! I got to eat yummy food, ride a sled, fly, and Auntie Yelena helped me hide special treasures in my vest pockets. Oh, and I got a magic snow globe with my name on it!â Your daughter rambled happily.Â
Natasha looked at you slightly skeptical, wondering if your sweet little girl was exaggerating. With your family, you were never quite sure.Â
âWow, that sounds amazing, kotyonok!â Are you ready to go home now?â Nat asked as Mila gives you her best puppy dog eyes.Â
âItâs okay sweetheart, weâll come back and see everyone next weekend. Why donât you go get your Teddy bear?â you suggested.
âIâll help her with her things,â Yelena said, scooping up your daughter and walking to her bedroom.Â
âWe canât thank all of you enough for taking such good care of her. I know she would stay here forever if we let her.â You said as you move through the group hugging every one.Â
She is always welcome here, you two know that.â Wanda said, confident she was speaking for the entire team.Â
A short while later, Mila emerged with her unicorn backpack, followed by Yelena, carrying more bags than she had when you dropped her off. You couldn't help but shake your head, knowing the team had showered her with gifts. Natasha crouched down to Milaâs eye level, tenderly placing her hand on her back. âCan you say goodbye and thank you to all of your aunts and uncles, dorogaya?â she asked. Mila made her way around the room, hugging everyone. It warmed Natasha to witness her family showering your daughter with so much love and affection.
Mila drifted off to sleep only five minutes after being placed in her car seat. Upon returning home, Natasha carried her to her bed with the utmost care. She tenderly laid Mila down, ensuring she was tucked in snugly, and then, both of you gently kissed her forehead before quietly slipping out of the room. You decided to postpone the unpacking until the following day, feeling too exhausted from the long journey. In the bedroom, Natasha was sitting in bed, engrossed in a book with her reading glasses perched precariously on the edge of her nose. The day's fatigue faded as you turned off the bathroom light and joined her in bed.
âI couldnât have asked for a more romantic anniversary, my love,â you admitted as you carefully removed her glasses from her face and gently kissed her lips. âBut there is nowhere I would rather be than at home with you and our beautiful daughter.â
âI couldnât agree more,â Nat said, returning the kiss.Â
As Natasha drifted into slumber, her mind wandered back to the tumultuous path that had brought her to this moment. She couldn't escape the memories of her pastâa life of manipulation in the Red Room with no autonomy and the unending pursuit to cleanse her conscience of the bloodstains it bore. But then came the shot that Clint didn't take and the chance that Fury did. Her deeply unconventional yet cherished family culminated in the arrival of you and your precious daughter. In these precious bonds, Natasha Romanoff found the strength to thrive and, at long last, find peace.

getting caught making out || avengers + loki
warnings: fem!reader, cursing, suggestive/spicy but never any actual smut, not really proofread
synopsis: making out with the avengers (separate) and getting caught, how they would react.
pairings: avengers (separate) x AFAB!reader
a/n: it's not just the og six by the way, gotta little carried away, also let's pretend there was a point peter lived with the rest of the avengers.
NATASHA ROMANOFF | n.r.
it was risky, up against the wall in one of the many training rooms. Natasha had been sparring with you, teaching each other tricks also. one thing led to another and nat was pushed up against you, hands roaming your body.
she knows very well how to control herself, but when it came to you she struggled. the frustration with it also didn't help any bit.
you felt her knee between your legs and her hand beside your head, it all made your brain go straight to mush. you didn't care about being caught or the consequences. all you cared about was making out with your girlfriend.
her other hand suddenly comes up to grip at your waist and push your hips even closer to hers even though it felt impossible.
the door of the training room creaks open to reveal an unamused Steve.
he apologizes profusely but scolds you guys for it being the 3rd time this week.
nat just smirks, still holding you in her arms.
"hey, we actually finished training this time. only thing wrong with this is-... well nothing." she laughs and Steve has nothing to say
he grabs his gym bag and walks off, annoyed as if he just found his kid doing something wrong.
when he finally left Natasha turned to you.
"now where were we?"
BUCKY BARNES | b.b.
unlike usual, you guys found a private spot to make out, figuring you learned your lesson on oblivious people catching you. the spot being his room in the tower, just a couple doors down from yours, peter's and wanda's.
you were on straddling him while he rested against the headboard, he couldn't get enough. especially after not seeing you for two days while you were out with tony, bruce and rhodey to some government complaint he could care less about.
he was pretty sure he heard something about the suits and concerning things made in the lab by you and Bruce. obviously they wanted to know about it because they wanted to be greedy and take from it.
they weren't successful at all, and you guys decided to celebrate.
it was already cold in the tower but there was a noticeable change in the temperature when bucky was close, human heater was one of his many nicknames.
but there was just something about the contrast of his body and his cold arm gripping at your hips.
"missed you so much..." he mumbles into your lips.
before you could respond there's a short knock on the door before it cracks open.
both of your heads whip to the side to see who's interrupted, peter standing in the doorway.
"oh- uh sorry Mrs. y/l/n and Mr bucky" he stutters out nervously before slamming the door shut, pattering footsteps heard running down the hall.
you burst into a fit of laughter and slump against bucky, your head falling to the crook of his neck.
"not one bit of privacy..." he complains, throwing his arms over your body and flipping you over.
"anyways..." he smirks.
TONY STARK | t.s.
even though you were cautious of it, he could care less. pushing you up against a counter in the lab. it was late, and Bruce was said to have gone to bed and continue in the morning, tony took it as a chance after not getting any good alone time with you in centuries it felt like.
"tony-... tony this is risky. what if Bruce comes back?"
he grumbles while he kisses down your neck, hand at either sides of your hips securing you against the counter.
"he won't, babe... plus the doors are locked."
you roll your eyes as if there weren't glass walls everywhere.
even though you were so against it, you couldn't help but fold at the way he kissed you so passionately.
you hear a sigh behind you and Tony look up.
"had to get my phone." you hear Bruce mumble awkwardly before walking away.
you hide your face in embarrassment and tony laughs.
"guess I should listen to you more often, huh?"
BRUCE BANNER | b.b.
it was a rare occurrence, but bruce was stressed beyond belief so you wanted to help him unwind.
you both lay in bed at the compound, lights off and a dimly lit tv playing a movie you both agreed on.
except it doesn't matter what the movie was, because you certainly weren't paying attention at all.
another thing you weren't paying attention to was the door opening and an unamused bucky in the doorway.
"hey lovebirds, tony told me to tell you guys that we've got a mission in two days and take the time to relax... have fun." he smirks and walks out.
you turn to Bruce and see him turned crimson with his face in his hands.
"well at least we have time to relax." you shrug.
"that doesn't change the fact of how embarrassing that is..." Bruce mutters. "I'm seen to be the professional one 24/7."
"not anymore!" you laugh and he couldn't help but smile.
STEVE ROGERS | s.r.
it was obvious eventually you two would be caught considering you were pushed into a small closet for 7 minutes in heaven.
you had to convince him to relax a little, and when he did... oh boy.
there wasn't much in the closet, a couple random jackets, supposedly Tony's because he apparently 'doesn't have enough room in his closet'... his closet is as big as your bedroom. you laugh at the thought, though.
"can't believe you convinced me into this..." he mutters between kisses, hands cupping your cheeks.
"guess I'm just that convincing..." you smile into his lips.
you feel the distance close between your hips at his attempt for friction, and his other hand pulling you against him even harder.
the closet door flies open and tony smirks at the sight, Steve's hair messed up and you pushed against the wall.
"not so innocent, huh Rogers?" he jokes, walking away for the next round.
"were continuing this later..." he whispers, his lips brushing your ear.
LOKI LAUFEYSON | l.l.
he wasn't ashamed for anyone to see, nor did he care. you were in a dressing room while shopping at the mall and he couldn't help but kiss your perfect face.
"you're so gorgeous, darling." he smiles at you, his hands moving up and down your waist and hips.
you loved how he always showed you affection, but he really went over the top at inconvenient times.
you turned to the mirror to observe the outfit you had picked and you loved it... so did loki.
you saw him lean down in the mirror to kiss your head, then down to your neck, right at your sweet spot.
" 'mon loki... we're in public."
he presses against you, feeling him smirk into your neck.
"were secluded in public, actually. darling you have nothing to worry about-"
knocks a heard from the locked door.
"um- could you guys please hurry up? every room is taken." a worker calls.
"I stand corrected." he laughs.
PETER PARKER | p.p.
aunt may had been out for the day running errands and peter called you over to watch a movie and hangout.
you both were laying on the couch, him on top of you, his head near your collarbone comfortably, a blanket messily dropped over the two of you.
he leaned in to kiss you, but came back for more and it led to him pressed against you and kissing your neck.
"you're so pretty..." he compliments and you pull him up to kiss you, feeling him bite on your bottom lip for access.
you kiss down to his neck, his bodyweight falling limp between your legs from the pleasure.
you hear a knock on the door and ned practically screaming to let him in.
he groans and gets up fully off you.
"why does this always happen..." he complains, kissing you once more on the temple before going to answer the door.
THOR ODINSON | t.o.
it was your birthday on asgard and thor obviously had to tell the entire civilization and invite everyone to your palace.
you found yourself being held by him, kissing passionately in the empty guest room.
you two were supposed to be greeting the guests and thanking them for coming but instead he wanted to truly show you how much he loves you.
"I am so grateful you are my queen, y/n." he praises.
his large hands find the sides of your neck and face to somehow pull you closer.
"thor we should really be out saying hello to everyone..." you insist.
"m'lady, I think everyone is too drunk to notice." he smiles, his accent soothing you. "and it is our kingdom after all, I'm sure they wouldn't mind."
you feel the door move the air around you and loki complaining.
"could you guys come downstairs, please. when you aren't around, guess who's put in charge?" he pinches the bridge of his nose. "can I just tell them all to leave, lady y/n?"
"sure, loki go ahead."
"thank you."
he sighs in relief and closes the door.
thor pauses for a moment before bringing you back to kiss him, his hand at your throat.
CLINT BARTON | c.b.
he has you pressed against the door just in case anyone had tried to walk in; his hand moving from your waist to lock the door, lips never leaving yours.
there was no plan to it, the moment you walked in his room he couldn't keep his hands off you.
with wanda just had moved in, it had been very... hectic.
everyone was ecstatic and welcoming, trying to help left and right. it left no room except for at night for just the two of you.
he took the little time to his advantage, even if there would be interruptions, he didn't care and neither did you. everyone around the compound is aware of your relationship and has definitely seen pda before, so what's it if someone walks in?
a sound of yelling and laughing was heard getting progressively closer to the end of the hallway, where Clint's room was.
"OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN THE DOOR! OPEN THE DOOR!" you heard someone scream, getting closer.
clint rolls his eyes and pulls you away from the door, a hand pulling you against him and the other opening the door.
in flies peter and Wanda, roughly shutting and locking the door behind them laughing uncontrollably.
"what did you guys do?" you quirk a brow at them.
they both look at you like kids in trouble, ignoring the pounding in the door.
"well..." Wanda starts.
"just cut to it." clint rolls his eyes.
"mr.stark, bruce and I were in the lab giving Wanda a tour and we might've knocked over a special beaker thingy..." he mumbles. "we didn't mean to! we swear..."
the pounding in the door never stops, annoying both you and Clint.
"CUT IT OUT ASSWIPES, THAT'S ANNOYING AS HELL!" you angrily yell at the door, halting the pounding.
"...sorry..." you hear Bruce mumble even though it definitely wasn't him doing it.
your demeanor suddenly changes as you talk to Wanda and peter, concerning the three of them.
"anyways, just go say sorry. if they give you anymore shit just come get me." you wink.
"and me." clint adds.
they thank you guys profoundly before walking out to go sulk to tony and Bruce.

Unworthy (2)
Summary: Thor doesnât think youâre a good friend to his brother.
Pairing: AU!Thor Odinson x fem!Reader, AU!Loki Laufeyson x fem!Reader (platonic/best friends)
Warnings: past addiction, mentions of drug abuse/addiction (Loki), angst, classism, Thor being an ass, BBF trope, mentions of spiked drinks
Catch up here: Unworthy (1)
Unworthy masterlist
âStop her then, son. If she told you the truth, we should find out more about what happened,â Odin feels like he just threw his daughter out of his house. âI shouldnât have listened to you. Why did I not double-check your information.â
âHusband, not now,â Frigga places her hand on Odinâs shoulder. âDo not make another mistake. Maybe she is innocent, but we need to investigate further first. Thor, follow her. Sheâs the best source of information.â
âRight,â Thor huffs but turns to follow you. âIâm not sure she told me the truth. Some people have the ability to sell you any lie.â
Thor walks away to follow you. He easily catches up on you with his long legs and determined steps. âWaitââ He calls your name. Itâs more an order than a request.
You move toward the exit, ignoring Thor walks next to you. âI said wait.â
âWhat else do you want to accuse me of?â You stop for a moment to glare up at Thor. âMaybe I sold drugs to Loki, huh? Maybe I was the one getting him addicted. Just leave me alone, Odinson.â
âIf the guy spiked your drink there should be a police reportâŠright?â He cocks a brow. Thor is not as good as his father at reading people, but he can see the fear in your eyes when the memories of that night come back.
âMy friend called the cops after bringing me to the hospital. I gave a statement, and they promised me that he wouldnât get away with what he did to me. I believed them,â you laugh bitterly.
âWhat happened?â He steps closer to tower over you. Thor is intimidating, with his sheer size and figure dwarfing you, but you wonât cower in front of him.
âWhat always happens,â you shrug and try to balance the box in your hands at the same time. âHe came from a good family with old money. My words against his. I was the outsider allowed to walk their holy halls because of a scholarship.â
âThatâs awful,â Thor sucks in a breath. If what youâre telling him is true, he understands that you always despised him, the golden son having it all. He never had to work for anything.
âIt didnât matter that my friend, the doctor, and the nurse gave a statement too. They tried to pressure me into taking my statement back, but I refused,â you sniff, and look away. âI didnât matter, though. He got away with it because his parents knew the right people. Suddenly my test results were gone, and the guests at the party didnât remember shit. I was lucky to not lose my scholarship. If we are done here, Iâd love to leave this shitty place.â
Thor doesnât stop you when you walk away from him. He has a lot of information to stomach. Thor hopes youâre just a good liar, and he was right about you. But he has a hunch that every word you said was true.
âThatâs all, huh?â Hela looks up from her laptop to glare at Thor. He thumbs through the papers and pictures on Helaâs desk. âYou didnât find more?â He asks.
âStop nagging,â she snaps at him. âYou should thank me instead of moping. I got the statement from her friend and the doctor. The nurse withdrew her statement right after she bought a brand-new car.â
âSounds fishy,â Hogun grumbles. It wasnât in his plans to sneak around your apartment and follow you around town. âI donât think the sweet girl is a criminal mastermind. All she did was to buy groceries and look for a new job.â
âHey, itâs still my turn,â Hela glares at Hogun. âWe wanted to talk about her past before we get to the present and future. A shame I didnât get the chance to interrogate her.â She smirks at her brother. âI bet the sweet girl wouldâve been putty in my hands.â
Thor curls his upper lip. âWhat did you find out?â
Hela leans back in her chair and crosses one leg over the other. She takes her time to inform her brother.
âI found more questions than answers. But I can tell you that the guy spiking Y/Nâs drink is a piece of shit. Over the years his parents tried to cover all the shit he pulled. Luckily, they did not succeed. He crossed one too many lines and they turned their back on him.â
âInteresting,â Thor grabs one of the pictures taken at the hospital. You look scared and his heart hurts seeing the tears run down your cheeks. âAnything else?â
âNo well done from you?â She huffs. âAlways the same with you and father.â Hela snaps at her brother. âI tried to talk to his parents, but they refused to talk about the incident with Y/N. If you ask me, their son did exactly what Y/N said.â
âSays whoâŠ?â Thor questions. Heâs still not convinced that you told him the truth and that you are innocent. If so, heâd be the worst person ever for ruining your career and friendship with his brother.
âHow is he? Where is he?â You pant heavily as you try to find Loki. âDuke, where is he?â You ask Lokiâs sponsor. âDuke!â
âHeâs in a bad condition,â Dukeâs features soften at your worried look. Youâre out of your mind because Lokiâs AA sponsor called you in the middle of the night. What if Loki is relapsed or is injured?
âDid he have a relapse?â You clasp your hands together to silently pray Loki didnât do anything stupid because of what happened. âDuke?â
âNo,â Duke shakes his head. âHe needs you. Loki asked for you the whole time. I didnât want to call you, but he wouldnât stop. Heâs vulnerable, Y/N.â
âI need to see him.â
âLokiâs inside my office,â Duke gently pats your shoulder. âTake all your time, Y/N. If you need a ride home, Iâll drive you.â
âLoki?â You walk inside the office, heart lurching in your chest. Loki sits on the ground. His long legs stretched out, and his head hanging. âDarling?â
âY/N,â he murmurs but doesnât look at you. Loki believed you gave up on him. Thor, his father, and Frigga didnât tell him the whole truth. When one of your co-workers told him that you got fired and showed him the pictures Loki knew, Thor did this to you to get you out of his life.
âHey, beautiful,â you sit down next to Loki and wrap one arm around his shoulders. âHowâs my pretty boy tonight?â
âNot good,â he leans his head against your shoulder and sighs. âI almost fucked up again, Y/N. I was bad tonight. IâŠIâŠâ he sniffles and wrings his hands. âI almost bought the poison.â
âDid you buy it?â
âNo.â
âGood. See, youâre stronger than you thought,â you peck his hair. âI knew you could do it, Loki.â
âWhy didnât you tell me about your job and my brother?â He murmurs. âI couldâve helped you.â
âYour brother is an asshole, you know thatâ you try to cheer Loki up while your world still lies in ruins. âHe tried to find something to hold against me and succeed. Itâs not the end of the world to lose a job, darling. Iâll find something soon.â
âHmmmâŠâ Loki thoughtfully hums. âMaybe I can lend you some money.â
âI got spared money, Loki. Iâm not your friend because of your money, darling.â
âYou are my friend because of my good looks, right?â Relieved that you are not angry at him for the things his family did, Loki sighs.
âIâm your friend because I love you, darling,â you pat his thigh. For a moment you are both silent. âSo, you came here for a meeting?â
âThree,â he says. âIâm sorry Duke had to call you.â
âI told you a long time ago that you can always call me, Loki. Day or night,â you softly say. âDid you eat today, darling?â
His growling stomach answers your question. âNot much,â Loki admits. âI wasnât in the mood for food.â
âThat was the most awful rhyme I ever heard,â you laugh. âCome on, darling. Iâll take you home and we can eat my leftovers.â
âYou want to take me home?â He purrs. âYou canât wait to get your hands on me, huh? I bet you waited for me to call.â
âYouâre a little bitch, Loki Laufeyson.â
âI love you too, Y/NâŠâ
You watch Lokiâs chest rise and fall. Still worried about your friend you didnât leave his side.
Finally at peace after hours of suffering and self-hatred, he sleeps peacefully on your bed.
He greedily stuffed your leftovers into his mouth and even burped because you wanted him to eat dessert too. Â Â
You talked for half the night, assuring him that his father and brother can do whatever they want to. You will stand by Lokiâs side. Whether they like it or not.
âIf you donât stop yelling at me Iâll hang up,â you snarl into the phone. âI only called to tell you that Loki is safe and didnât have a relapse. Heâs asleep and Iâll drive him home after he had breakfast.â
Thor yells into the phone. He throws profanities at you while his sister watches him with amusement. She chuckles and listens to your explanation. âThor, calm down. She took good care of him.â
âYou donât have a say in this,â Thor grunts. âShe gets fired and thenâŠâ He growls and grunts while you listen to his rant.
âAre you done?â You ask. âIâm going to hang up now. I donât want to wake Loki. He needs his sleep after everything heâs gone through last night. If you need to know more, ask his sponsor who called me, knowing Iâll be the one getting Loki out of the hole he fell into once again.â
You hang up, already regretting that you called Lokiâs family. All you wanted to do was make sure they won't worry all night because he didnât come home.
You harrumph and walk back inside your living room to switch through the channels. Sleep is out of the question after the call. Thor once again made you furious, and you hate the feeling.
Next time he dares to show his face, youâll knee his balls and give him a piece of your mindâŠ

Liability....ASSEMBLE!! MARVEL
wc: 2.5k a/n: not me getting inspired by a 'If Avengers were real' meme/trend. Hope this make ya giggle a lil bit lol
Traveler M.List

The warm glow from the ceiling lights bathed the common room of the Avengers compound in a cozy amber hue.
 A large screen took up one side with couches and recliners strewn with blankets and cushions taking the otherâthe rustle of popcorn bags, gentle clatter of soda cans on tables.
Vision had meticulously set everything up for the bi-monthly movie night; and it seems his insistence (in the name of strengthening team camaraderie) on these was paying off.
Sounds of muted conversations filled the area as the group decompressed from the chaos that often defined their lives.
Peter bounced in place as he settled himself onto the couch, his eyes gleaming with excitement.Â
 âAunt May actually let me come this time since Iâve been doing great in school,â he declared, his grin wide and unabashed.
Tony, lounging back with a glass of something suspiciously amber in color, raised an eyebrow and smirked. âKid if great means a C in physics, we need to talk.â
Peterâs face flushed slightly as he stammered, âH-hey! Itâs an A-minus actually.â
Sam, lounging comfortably with a bowl of pretzels balanced on one knee, snorted and added, âDonât worry Parker. Weâll make sure to remind you of that every time you pause the movie to point out what they got wrong.â
Peter looked even more embarrassed. âI only did that twice....â He weakly tried to defend himself causing the two men to laugh.
Sitting on another separate furniture was Thor.
âEnough of this school talk! Let me tell you of the time I faced the mighty frost giant of Jotunheim!â The God of Thunder waves a drink in the air as his booming voice echoes.
His unoccupied arm was draped across Lokiâs shoulders, a silent reminder to the trickster god that mischief had its limits tonight.
Loki rolled his eyes with a scoff and folds his arms. âMust you always tell that story brother?âÂ
Vision, oblivious to the banter, hovered near the screen, adjusting the settings for optimal viewing quality.
Wanda sat near him, her fingers idly flicking through the air making small shapes out of glowing red energy, her expression relaxed.
Bucky, quiet as ever, had hesitantly settled into an armchair next to Steve. Though the wounds of the past had scarred them all, a fragile truce held in place.
Steveâs blue eyes softened as he caught Buckyâs glance, offering a subtle nod of reassurance.
Bruce approaches the ex-Winter Soldier and hands over a can of soda with a small smile of understanding as he sits next to Clint.
Bucky timidly accepts and nod in thanks, his shoulders slowly relaxing as he took in the sceneâit felt almost normal.
Almost.
âI canât BELIEVE THIS!â A rageful yell pierces the air causing all conversations to hush mid-sentence.
Eyes turn towards the source of interruption. And there, before them, stood a seething Natasha.
The color of her red locks were no match for the fire that were blazing within her eyes.Â
Steve, ever the voice of security, gaze search hers. âWhatâs wrong Nat?â
Natasha crossed her arms. âHave any of you guys noticed anything weird happening lately?â
âUh...â Peter awkwardly raised his hand almost as if for asking permission to speak. âActually now that you mention it...people have been asking for pictures with me more than usual.â
Her lips press tightly together. âExactly.â
Tension crackled in the room as the rest exchanged looks of confusion.
Tony groaned, leaning his head back with a dramatic roll of his eyes. âPR issues? Whatâs new?â
Natasha doesnât spare him a glance. Instead she turned to face the ceiling. âFRIDAY. Pull up the video.â
âRight away Agent Romanoffâthe AI responded as the roomâs lighting dimmed.
The movie setup on the large screen disappeared, replaced by a polished brightly colored advertisement.
Serene music played as heroic shots of the Avengers in action appeared: Tony soaring through the sky in his Iron Man suit, Steve deflecting a hail of bullets with his shield, Thor summoning thunder and the others saving civiliansâall framed with flawless cinematic glory.
A voiceover, warm and honeyed, filled room. âThe Avengers: Earthâs mightiest heroes, defenders of humanity.â
Tony leaned back and sighed in a mix of irritation and smugness. âA fan-made promo? Really Nat?â
The corners of Steveâs mouth quirked up in polite agreement, his eyes soft with an almost paternal pride. âIt looks positive so far. Is there something weâre missing?â
âJust watch.â Natasha hisses, her expression still tense.
âBut what happens when the protectors become the cause of destruction?â
The serene music cuts off abruptlyâreplaced by a hollow somber chord. The visuals were no longer heroic, no longer triumphant.
Instead footage showed of crumbling buildings, shattered streets, smoke billowing into a gray sky as civilians looked on in shock and despair.
A ripple of unease went through the team, some recognizing a few scenes from their latest mission.
Tony sat up straighter. âWhat the hell is this?!â he snarls, clearly unamused.
The montage continued; the aftermath of battles, people sifting through debris, the sound of distant sirens before the camera cut to a series of sidewalk interviews.
A man in a dark suit appearedâhis expression stoic. âI watched the Hulk throw my car at a villain...and miss.â
Bruce shoulders hunched as a grimace flickered across his face.
Another clip showed a driver next to a half-destroyed Sedan, gesturing to it wildly âCaptain America used my door as a shield. Now how da HELL am I supposed to drive this to work?!âÂ
Another shot showed an older woman wearing a pink fuzzy robe with slippers to match. âFive times...FIVE TIMES that lanky ass spider boy done come and tore up the block. This week alone! I finally paid off my car and now look at it!â Her lips curled as she took another sip from her glass of red wine.
Peter pales recognizing that exact neighborhood.
âUh...is this the kind of press we usually get?â Wanda asked quietly, half-joking. Vision tilted his head. âBased on the tone I would say no.â
Lokiâs delighted laughter erupted from the corner of the room. He tossed his head back, savoring their discomfort.
âMortals and their misplaced faith,â he began, but his glee was cut short as the screen suddenly shifted to a familiar face: his.
The headline Special Edition: Loki Lawlessness Insurance Package appeared under a clip of him cackling maniacally mid-chaos.
His smile faltered into an offended scowl. âThatâs not even my best angle,â he muttered.
A final gut-punching clip played out on the screen: a little girlâno more than sixâstanding amongst rubble as she clutched a half-burnt teddy bear.
Tears streaked her soot-covered face as she spoke into a reporterâs microphone. âThe heroes who saved us...killed our home and puppy.â
The words echoed leaving a gaping silence in the room. But before anyone could break the quiet the screen flickered back to life.
This time there were no chaotic images or bleak interviews.
The camera steadied on a young woman standing outside a modest, unassuming office building.
Braided hair flawlessly styed into an updo, the well-fitted blazer and knee-length skirt that matched in color was simple yet elegant.
And her eyes...a beautiful shade of [eye color] so fierce with determination, yet her features were gentleâa disarming contrast that made the delivery all the more captivating.
Peter Parkerâs eyes went wide as he nearly jumped from his seat. â____?!â the shock vibrated his voice.
Tony's eyes darted to the teenager. âWho's ____?â
âHello my name is ____, founder of Avenge-Yer Life Back Insurance,â Your voice (the same one that narrated the video so far) was voice steady and clear.
The camera panned out a little more revealing the logo of your company posted on the building behind you.
Eyebrows shoot up as heads swivel almost in unison to fix their attention on Peter. The sophomore heroâs face pales and he shrinks under the sudden scrutiny.
 "I too, like so many others, once admired the Avengers." Fortunately for Peter your voice continues, reclaiming focus. "But admiration can turn when reality hits home."
 âYears ago an incident involving the Avengers changed everything for my family. We lost our business, our home, our livelihoodâeverything that made life stable. But instead of succumbing to that destruction, I decided to do something. To create a solution for others like usâthose who were left to pick up the pieces after the Avengers saved the day.â
The scene now changed to you walking confidently through an aisle in the office building as views of smiling employees and distressed citizens signing documents played in the background. âAt Avenge-Yer Life Back Insurance, we ensure that those who suffer from collateral damage have the means to rebuild. With proven evidence that a hero was present during the damage to your property or accident, we offer comprehensive coverage. From homes reduced to rubble to livelihoods disrupted overnight, we ensure that youâre not left in the aftermath without hope.â
âPeople have been exploiting it too,â Natasha said suddenly, her voice breaking through the tension. âThey've been using loopholesâtaking selfies with heroes and timing accidents to match the incidents. Spider-Man currently has the highest coverage rate.â
Peterâs head snapped up as his eyes widened in realization. âWait...pictures?!â His voice cracked from a mixture of confusion and panic.
Steveâs voice cuts through. âIsnât this bordering on defamation? Our honorâs at stake here. We couldââ
Tony doesnât let him finish, scoffing with a sharp laugh. âWhat do you think this is, the 1940s? Oh waitâmy apologies, you probably did for a second there.â
Sam let out a laugh before quickly covering it with a cough in attempt to hide his amusement.
Steve just rolled his eyes but chose not to respond, his focus returning to the screen.
The advertisement ends with you looking directly into the camera.
You lean forward slightly, your eyes locking onto the viewer with compelling intensity.
âThe Avengers. You know them as heroes who saved the world and lives of many...but how many have they destroyed?â
The room fell into a suffocating silence as the screen faded to black; the air heavy as everyone processed what theyâd just seen.
Every eye shifted toward Peter whose face flushed pink.
He instinctively raise his hands in a gesture of surrender at the weight of their stares bearing down on him.
Bucky, who rarely spoke up unless necessary, was the first to break the silence. His voice was gruff, expression serious as he turned to Peter. âExplain kid.â
Peterâs mouth opened then shut before he took a shaky breath. âI...I think I know her...kind of,â his voice was barely above a whisper.
âShe was a junior at Midtown High when I was a freshman. The only person who didnât ignore me orââ he swallowed hard, ââbully me. Other than Ned. Defended me every chance she got...â
âI mightâve...âHe glanced down, cheeks turning a deeper shade of red as he muttered, â...had a massive crush on her.âÂ
But Natashaâs sharp gaze caught everything. âWhat was that last part?â
Peterâs eyes widened and quickly rushed to speak over her. âBut yeah! You know she disappeared halfway through the year before I ever worked up the courage to talk to her.â
âI didnât understand why she left. I thought maybe sheâd just moved or something. But now...â He lets out an almost wistful, forlorn sigh as his shoulder slightly slumped. âNow I see why.â
There was a pang of something unidentifiable in his voiceâregret maybe, or sadness.
The Avengers exchanged looks, some expressions softening, others hardening with simmering frustration.Â
Thor shifted on the sofa in displeasure.
âSo mortals now speak ill of us for saving them?â his voice tinged with indignation. âUngrateful wretchesâshould they not sing songs of our deeds as they did in my time?â
Wanda raises a brow. âYes Thor, because their top priority is singing songs of your deeds while they fix their plumbing.â She says dryly.
Steve, however, straightened in his seat and interjected before the tension could boil over.
âThor...theyâre not entirely wrong.â
The God of Thunder frowned, his brow furrowing deeply. âNot wrong? Captain we fight for them. We bleed for them!â
âWe also bulldoze their coffee shops,â Sam quipped under his breath. Thor shot him a sharp glare.
Ignoring the comment Steve continues. âThink about it: To us itâs a missionâwe go into battle, we do what we have to, and then...we leave.â
Tony raised a hand like he was in a classroom. âUh yeah because thatâs what heroes do. Youâre welcome civilians.â
Steve exhaled heavily but didnât look his way. âWe leave. But they stay. Itâs their homes, their streets, their lives that got caught in the middle. Theyâre the ones who have to stay and rebuild.â
The room quieted. For a moment, it seemed like the team might actually be absorbing the gravity of the situation.
Clint snorted. âMaybe we should hand out gift cards after every mission.â
Steve couldnât help the twitch of his lips from that. âMy point is they didnât ask for these battles, yet they got them anyway. Itâs not ungrateful to ask why it happens or how it can be prevented.â
Thor looked taken aback, caught somewhere between confusion and frustration. âBut we are protectors! Not destroyers.â
Steve gave a small nod but didnât back down. âI know that, we know that. But to them itâs not that simple. They donât see us cleaning up the messâthey only see the rubble we leave behind.â
The tension in the room was thick as the unspoken truth settled over them like a heavy weight.
 âOkay!â Tony pushed himself up from the armchair with a flourish, setting down his glass a bit too forcefully. âThat was a nice guilt-trip speech n all...but seriously? Accidents happen, it's inevitable. We risk our asses day in and day outâand now theyâre trying to cancel me over an insurance company I didnât even create? Iâll be damned!â
Without waiting for a response Tony makes his way out the room.
Vision, who had been observing quietly, head tilts as he calls out, âWhat do you plan to do then, Tony?â
âTo fix this. First thing in the morning.â The voice of Iron Man echoed back sharp with resolve.
ââââââââââââââââ*.·:·.âœâ§ ⊠â§âŸ.·:·.*âââââââââââââââââ
Anticipation hummed through the common room like a live wire.
The Avengers had gathered once moreâsome leaning against the walls while others paced or fidgeted with pent-up energy.
One thing for sure, they all were filled with curiosity and mild apprehension as they waited.
The door suddenly swished open and in strolled Tony Stark with a face-splitting grin.
âWell?â Natashaâs voice cut through the buzz. Her eyes narrow, finding the billionaire cat-like smile unassuring. âDid you fix it?â
Tonyâs smile grew wider as he clapped his hands together. âEven better. Pull it up!â
At his words, FRIDAY makes a holographic screen appear behind him, displaying a high-resolution image: you were standing next to Tony, a bright smile on your face as you shook his hand.
In the picture Tony was handing over an oversized check boring the Stark Industries logo with a number impossible to missâ$450 million.
The room erupted with a cacophony of reactionsâexclamations, groans, and even a low whistle from Sam.
Natashaâs eyes darkened with fury as she whirled towards Tony.
âWhat happened to fixing it?!â she snapped, venom in her voice.
Tony raised his hands in mock surrender, the grin never faltering. âI know, I knowâTony Youâre a genius! How did this go sideways?â Well turns out she one hell of a talker. Thatâs for damn sure.â

Double-Agent (Avengers X Reader) *PLATONIC
Characters: Avengers X Reader
Universe: Marvel, Avengers
Warnings: Talking about torture and experimentation (HYDRA)
Request: Avengers x (22) reader. The reader is has been working for the team for 4œ years being able to use their teleportation, telekinesis, and healing powers to help. They capture Rumlow before he's able to damage in Sokovia and harm anybody. Later while being interrogated he request for the reader. Upon entering the room Rumlow reveals that the reader use to be with Hydra as their parents (mutants) were Hydra agents. He even reveals that the reader used to bring down bases and ruin shield. Later after that conversation the Avengers confront the reader. The reader tells the Avengers that when they saved them from that Hydra prison he was put there for betraying Hydra for Shield.
It was hard for you to focus on anything in moments like this. Knowing that there was a HYDRA agent nearby always made you hyper focus on everything they were doing, watching their every move, making sure they didnât do anything. You were usually good at hiding your anxiety, tucking yourself in the corner to be out of the way and rolling a rare coin Steve had given you a while ago between your fingers. However, your team knew you well enough to know what it meant when you did those things, and would try their best to handle the situation themselves and make sure the HYDRA agents never addressed or even looked at you.Â
You were thankful for their understanding. They tended to do the same thing for Bucky, though he preferred to not be in the room at all, but you did, just to be there just in case and watch like a hawk. The team never questioned your quirk, because they partially understood. You were a past experiment of HYDRA that they liberated a few years prior, and after some healing, you joined the team as a valuable asset. You could gather information with your telepathy and telekinesis, and could provide immediate on-site medical care if anyone got hurt due to your healing abilities. You were important to the team, and the team always found themselves thanking you for things you did for them, so letting you stand in the corner and monitor any HYDRA agents they captured and interrogated was the least they could do.Â
This was another one of those situations, but while you would often look away and listen to what was being said, trying to appear unbothered and simply there as backup for your team, this was different. Because they had Rumlow, and you were the one to capture him.Â
It was in no way intentional, more like you saw an opportunity and took it, and it was definitely a good decision- finding he had several powerful bombs on him that he could use at anytime. You stripped him off all weapons, and gave him over to your colleagues, only speaking when necessary. You stayed in the corner, playing with your coin, though whenever Steve glanced in your direction to check on you, he saw you glaring at the man, and the coin was actually floating in your palm, turning rapidly. He could tell you were stressed, and he had no doubt in his mind you had a history with Rumlow, though he didnât say anything.Â
Rumlow was handcuffed to the table in the small interrogation room, and for the most part he just glared straight ahead as Natasha questioned him, Steve behind her, and you in the corner. There was a pane of one sided glass where you knew the rest of the team was watching, Hill and Fury on their way to also monitor- this was a big deal after all. Everyone had thought Rumlow had died years ago, yet here he sat, badly burned from the collision with the helicarrier and the building, but breathing, which you personally found insulting.Â
âYou sure you donât want to tell us anything?â Steve asked, leaning on the table, trying to tempt the man to speak. He didnât say anything and first, but then his eyes moved, and they met yours. The coin stopped dead in the air as a chill ran down your spine, though you didnât break eye contact.Â
âNow that you mention it⊠Y/N-â He started. Natasha moved to stand in front of you, arms crossed, glaring at him. Steve turned and looked at you, motioning his head for you to leave the room. You didnât budge. You had to be here- control the situation.Â
âY/N. Out. Now.â Steve ordered, voice low and quiet, but demanding. You swallowed, grabbing the coin from the air, and leaving the room. You took a step to join the others, but you felt the bile rising in your throat, and instead you turned on your heel, going to find somewhere quiet, and the first place that came to mind was the bathroom.Â
The rest of the team remained focussed on the interrogation, their intention peaked since he started speaking. âHow well do you know Y/N? You sure you should just let them walk around?â He teased them, making eye contact with Romanoff, whose arms were still crossed and presented unphased.Â
âWeâre here to talk about your crimes, not for you to try and re-traumatise our friend.â Steve scolded, pasing across the room slowly.
âMy crimes? What about theirs?â He laughed. Silence fell on the room.Â
âWhat does he mean?â Bruce inquired in a whisper from the other side of the glass, glancing at his friends, who seemed just as confused. âWerenât they an experiment?âÂ
âYeah, they were, thatâs how we found them.â Clint confirmed, eyes focussed through the glass.Â
âElaborate.â Natasha demanded sternly.Â
âThey never told you?â He teased her with a grin. âTheyâre one of ours. Always was, always will be. Our ears from the inside. Our own Agent Garbo.â
âYouâre telling me Y/N is a double agent?â Steve asked. Rumlow only grinned, leaning back in his seat. Him and Natasha shared a look, before they made for the door. âSomeone get agents to watch him. Whereâs Y/N?âÂ
You sat on the floor of the stall, trying to calm yourself. You already had an idea on what Rumlow was cooking, knowing if they didnât let him mess with your head, heâd mess with theirs, pinning you against each other, and you didnât know what would be the best way to deal with it and resolve the manipulation. This could permanently poison your relationship with your only friends. Your only family.
You heard the door open to the bathroom, and you held your breath, knowing this was it. You tucked your legs closer to you, squeezing your calves, as several footsteps were heard on the tiles. âY/N?â You heard Tonyâs voice call, and you gulped. You hesitated for a moment, before reaching up, unlocking the stall door, letting the door fall open, and it wasnât long till the entrance to the stall was surrounded by your teammates staring down at you, their expressions ranged. Confused, sad, hurt, angry⊠âWe need you to come with us.âÂ
You didnât fight them, standing up, letting Clint grab your arm and escort you through the base, surrounded by the other Avengers, no one speaking, and you knew quickly they were leading you to a holding cell. As you got closer, you turned to Steve. âWhat did he tell you?â Steve didnât face you at first, but as Clint shoved you to keep moving, he did, but you didnât get a chance to read his expression before you were put into the cell, void of any windows or view of the outside, and you looked up at the camera in the corner, before taking a seat on the harsh bed.Â
It wasnât long till you heard the team arguing. It was mostly muffled beyond comprehension, but every so often someone, usually Tony, Thor, or Steve, would raise their voice loud enough to be heard. âBetrayedâ âDouble agentâ and âLiarâ Were words you heard frequently, as well as other mumbles, and you were able to gather an idea of what Rumlow had told them. That you were a double agent, a backstabber to the Avengers, the most successful plant and informant that HYDRA had, and for the last few years you had been playing them like fools. Your chest felt tight, trying to figure out what to do, getting up, pacing back and forth as you listened to them argue. You didnât know who hated you, wanted you dead, or who wanted to hear you out or straight up was on your side. You werenât sure if any of them were, and if it was just an argument of how to deal with you; a trial or an immediate execution? Was Natasha going to simply walk in and shoot you dead? If a trial is held, what court would hear it? What can you do to defend yourself? Itâs Rumlow against you.Â
The yelling stopped, and you immediately noticed. There were faint mumbles, but nothing concrete, and then your door opened, making you flint. In stepped Fury. âAgent.â He greeted stoically. You straightened up, head lowered, hands at your side. âWould you mind if we speak alone?âÂ
âSir I donât think-â You heard Vision start, before Fury turned to face out of the door, a glare enough to silence them, before he turned to you.Â
âOr would you like them here?âÂ
âJust us please.â You requested quietly. You didnât know why you didnât want them here, force to listen to your side with Fury keeping them under check, but as he entered the room, closing the door behind him, you realised why. You knew you were going to have to talk about what happened, and you didnât want them to know.Â
âRumlowâs spun a story depicting you as a double agent.â He commented.Â
âI heard.â You confirmed, remaining stiff, though you now looked up at him. He met your eyes, before glancing up at the camera, not moving his head, a silent comment. They were watching.Â
âWould you mind going over whatâs true and whatâs not?â He asked you. You nodded, trying to relax your shoulders, though your fists were clenched, along with your jaw. âAre you a double agent?âÂ
âI was previously.â You admitted.Â
âWhen was that?âÂ
âSeveral years ago.â You responded, keeping eye contact with Fury.Â
âCan you elaborate for me?âÂ
âI was a civilian at the time, but I kept up with what was happening with the Avengers and their enemy, HYDRA. I did my own research into them, and after a lot of digging, I found a way into their ranks. I took it.âÂ
âSo you worked for HYDRA?âÂ
âCorrect.âÂ
âWhy did you join them?â Fury asked, moving to lean on the wall, and cross his arms. He was calm, relaxed, his voice monotone and calm, though you understood- you two had had this exact conversation many years ago- when he questioned you after the team pulled you from that HYDRA base. It didnât make it any easier for you though, your hands shaking, reliving everything in that moment.Â
âSo I could give information to SHIELD.â You responded, your voice starting to shake.Â
âSo you were a double agent, a spy, but a spy for us?âÂ
âCorrect, sir.âÂ
âEven though we didnât hire or train you to do so? You went in without a back up or team behind you to swoop in, in the case you were found out?â He asked. You couldnât bring yourself to speak as you nodded. âWhat information did you provide us in that time?âÂ
âI leaked details on experiments and projects. The Forest Project, the Kingston Project- that was me. I supplied SHIELD with the names of cover groups they were using to hire people- the same way I found my way in, so they could be stopped to weaken their numbers⊠I helped roughly 70 prisoners escape⊠the number passes me, I didnât keep documentation so there was no trail.â You admitted.Â
â82, actually, I had Romanoff track them down and get a status update on them to make sure theyâre safe. They are. Several have families now. I didnât tell Romanoff who it was who freed them, just told her it was an anonymous agent.â Fury confirmed. You smiled to yourself at that, even though knowing Fury just on purpose let slip that he already knew all this information about you, that youâd already discussed this a long time ago. Still, he continued. âThen they found out what you were doing.âÂ
âThatâs right.âÂ
âWhat did they do to you, Y/N?â He asked. This was the hardest part. It always was, even back then. It took several hours for you to admit everything to Fury from that hospital bed, and while you were stronger now, more mentally healed, being able to tell your team bits and pieces over the years, dropping it all at your feet right now was just as hard as it was back then.Â
âThey turned me into their experiment. Iâd freed several of their guinea pigs, so all those tests that were prepped for them was used on me, all at once⊠it hurt. A lot. Sometimes Iâll still feel the needles, the incisions, the burning, the effects like when it was really happening, even years later. After they were done, those did their usual torture techniques- I later found out it was the exact same techniques they used on James to break him. Eventually, the effects of the experiments showed. Some were a failure, but some succeeded⊠its how I ended up like this.â You expressed, pulling the old coin Steve had given you long ago, letting it float in your fingers, before you placed the coin on the bed, and hugged yourself. âWith the healing factor⊠the torture became worse⊠knowing they could rip me apart and Iâd grow it back and be ready for the next round in just a few hours⊠there was no point to it. No end goal. They were just punishing me for what I did. For crossing them⊠I think they probably had goals of breaking me like James and making me another weapon, but that was several years down the line⊠several more years until I broke.âÂ
âBut that didnât happen. Because we raided the base and found you there.â Fury finished, and you nodded, only now feeling the salt in your mouth from your tears, sniffing and trying to rub away the tears, your whole body shaking. âAnd despite it all, you still wanted to do the right thing, and decided to become an official agent for us, and eventually an Avenger. The only person youâve told exactly what happened to you to being me, since it only matters that I know the full story, until now.â Fury moved from leaning against the wall, walking over and standing in front of you, resting a hand on your shoulder. âIâm sorry youâve had to relive that experience to prove your innocence and loyalty to your team. Hill is waiting outside, sheâll drive you home. You take as much time as you need to heal from this again. Iâll handle the team and make sure they donât cause more damage.â
âWhat about Rumlow?â You asked.Â
âIâll make sure he pays for what he did to both Barnes, and you, everyone else heâs harmed. He isnât seeing the light of day for the rest of his life, I promise. Youâve done good kid, now go rest.â He told you. The door opened, Hill stepping inside. You silently walked to her, head low as she guided you out, passed your silent team who stared at you, not even knowing what to say as Hill escorted you out. When you were out of the room, Fury stepped out the cell, looking pointedly at the team.Â
âYou knew this the entire time?â Natasha asked.Â
âThat I did. I know all your secrets, and it never should have happened that I had to expose Y/Nâs biggest secret, especially like that!â He snapped at them, making several flinch. âWhy would you believe Rumlow in a situation like this? In the middle of an interrogation? When he is known for being good at causing inner conflict in the team, pitting people against each other, and getting into peopleâs heads. The second he tried to put attention on an agent who you knew had a history with HYDRA- especially one which involves torture and trauma- you should have shut him up, not heard him out!â
âWe know. Weâre sorry.â Tony apologised.Â
âNot me you should be apologising to, Stark.â Fury reminded. Everyone at that point looked like a kicked puppy, heads low, uncomfortable, but mostly upset and disturbed at what theyâd heard. âDo not, and I repeat, do NOT, go and bother Y/N, they were talk to you when theyâre ready. They donât trust you right now, and I donât blame them. Iâm temporarily taking them off the Avengerâs initiative until they feel like they can work with you again. In the meantime, you lot better think of the best way to make up for all of this for when they decide to come back.âÂ
âIF, they come back.â Thor corrected.
âI would say if, but I know them. Like stated in there, they still want to do good and help SHIELD. Theyâll come back, it might not be back to the Avengers, but theyâll come back to SHIELD at least.â Fury told them. âNow stop moping around and deal with Rumlow- and donât believe a word he says unless you can fact-check!â He ordered. The team nodded, forcing themselves back into work mode, and trying to continue with their work, even if they were all haunted, though now they were a lot more angry at the smug man in the interrogation room.Â
Hope you like it! If you have any questions, please send them in!

yandere Thor x female reader: A young goddess and shorter than him. Thor is her husband, the female reader is a goddess of war. Many of the gods trust her, however in Ragnarok she is secretive and manipulates everything. He wants humans to live, that's why he betrays the gods without r repentance, including her husband. That is to say, she loves humanity and does not mind betraying the gods.
Oooh interesting! i'll try my best!
warning: noob author, female reader, yandere character, and others.
character: thor.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
you were the wife to thor; the god of thunder, you were the goddess of war, many gods and goddesses all trust you no matter which pantheon they were from as you give strategies to defeat enemies of the gods like giants or the like. but what they didn't know was that you'd betray them after their decision to kill all humans.
you had loved human kind ever since you were first born and so you decided to side with them when the decision to finally wiped humanity was made by the other gods. you had helped brunhilde try and save humanity both with different reasons.
you told your husband of what you were planning; you also threatened to leave him if he tried to stop you from doing this, thor wasn't going to let you go as he loves you that he would do anything to keep you with him so he joined you but not to save humans but to make sure you didn't leave him.
the other gods were shocked that you and thor had betrayed them especially thor's father and cousin; they were angry that thor had betrayed them along with you as that would mean humans actually had a chance to live for another 1000 years.
what with you being shorter than the god you were fighting you gained a upper hand along with many, many years of being the goddess of war and such.
(i'm picturing ares as your opponent as god and goddess of war versus each other seems interesting but if y'all don't like that idea y'all can decide who you fight as i won't mention much about your opponent.)
you manipulated a few other gods and goddess to join the human sides which shocked both sides with how many gods were on the human side now.
you told the gods that still think humanity should be killed off that they should've lead humans to the path the gods wanted if they felt unhappy with what humans were doing instead of ignoring and thinking the humans would just know what to do to be on the gods good side.
(A/n: so hope y'all liked it! i was kinda not feeling well when making this so i'm sorry if it turned out bad along with something else that almost made me unmotivated not to do this all together. anyway hope y'all have a wonderful day/evening/night.)
Part II: The Princess (and the chaos she brings with her) - steve rogers x princess!reader
summary: the princess gets to grips with life in the avengers tower, the captain does his best to not allow his feelings to get in the way of acting normal. everything is nice... but for how long?
part 2 // it was an honour and a privilege, for his words to reach only her ear // word count 2k
you can find part one here and here's my masterlist <3
a/n: nothing much happens in this one but i needed to set the scene! hope you enjoy this short and fluffy fic x
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Steve felt a kind of giddiness he had never felt before. It was almost nauseating; somewhere between the greatest euphoria and the deepest of depressions. He felt himself unable to bring words to his lips, when Bucky knocked on his room door to ask him how he was holding up.
âThis is fucking crazy, man.â Bucky had breathed out. It seemed the same cat had got his tongue.
Steve had breathed out a half-laugh. âYeah, itâs definitely crazy.â
He felt delirious. Dizzy with every emotion he had ever, and will ever feel. He found himself staring at the clock as time ticked by, agonisingly slowly. He fought against every instinct he had to run to her, make sure she never left his sight again.
It had been nearly 80 years since they had last seen each other. What if she had moved on? What if he was too different for her now? What if she was different?
As they had talked, it felt the same. But the talk they had had wasn't quite enough for the captain. He fought against every instinct he had to charge into her room and demand answers to the thousand questions running through his head.
His best bet would be going for a run, clear his head, work off some energy. It was a nice day outside, and a weekend so most of the agents and personnel were off-base. He shrugged on some gym clothes and headed out. He found himself lingering, as he walked past her door, trying to fend off thoughts of charging in and blurting his deepest thoughts to her.
The sound of... struggling? He could hear her, with ragged breath and the sound of what he thought was someone bumping into furniture. His eyebrows furrowed as he went into avenger mode.
"Princess?" He knocked quickly on the door, listening as he did for further sounds. As he knocked, the noises stopped. It was only through his supersoldier hearing that he could still hear her ragged breaths.
A small, breathless voice came from behind the door. "I'm okay, I'm alright!"
The captain wasn't entirely sure what to do. "Do you need help with anything?"
There was silence for a moment. And then, the lock on the door turned and she stood, once more, in front of him. Now, she was more flushed, and her hair had fallen ever so slightly out of place. The captain still thought she was the most radiant being he had ever seen.
"I... I am sorry to ask, captain. I am so used to having handmaidens that I can't get my armour off by myself." She looked away as she said it, and Steve cursed himself as a blush spread it's way over his cheeks.
"I'll help!" He said, perhaps a little too much enthusiasm behind his words. He immediately pulled it back, "or I could get Natasha, if you want."
The princess smiled at him. "It's okay, I wouldn't want to bother Miss Romanoff, if you don't mind helping?" She held the door for him and he entered her chambers. If she had been on Alfheim, or Asgard for that matter, this would have caused great scandal. For a brief moment, regardless of the circumstances, she was grateful to be back on Midgard.
She lifted her arms to show him how the chestplate connected around her torso, and he began to undo the intricate mechanism stitching it together. They were both hyper-aware of their closeness in that moment, each fighting not to think about it too much.
"It's beautiful." Steve tried to cut the silence, but his voice came out as more of a whisper. "Your armour, I mean. The carvings." He cleared his throat.
She made eye contact with him, and he nearly audibly gulped. "Thank you." As the mechanisms finally gave way, she pulled the piece over her head, holding it in front of her. "It belonged to my grandmother, the last Queen of Alfheim. They say even the stars themselves bowed to her."
Steve didn't miss the sadness layered in her voice.
"I never knew anything about your family before. It's crazy that they're kings and queens." Steve confessed.
She placed a hand, lightly on his arm. She couldn't think of what to say in response to that, but the gesture was enough. She hung the armour in the wardrobe, then began to take off her jewelry starting with her jeweled tiara. As she pulled it from her hair, he audibly gasped.
With the way her tresses fell, and covered her ears, it was like the princess disappeared and was replaced with (y/n). His (y/n). The one he ejected from the plane to save, all those years ago. The one he had mourned since he came out of the ice.
She turned to him, smiling. "You look the same, you know." She continued, "As when we last saw each other."
Steve caught a glimpse of himself in her mirror. He didn't feel the same as back then. He had been so full of hope, so naĂŻve. The modern world made it hard to be optimistic.
"I'm older, now. You haven't aged a day." He responded.
She chuckled. "Steven, you are the same boy who jumped on the grenade at Camp Lehigh, it doesn't matter how you've aged." The kindness of her words as she said his name moved him in a way that no one had in a long time. "My people age far slower than Midgardians, so physically aging is an honour. I hope that one day, I experience the blessings of the years."
"What... what age are you?"
"Are you quite certain you want to know?" She asked, a hint of a smirk on her lips. When he nodded after a moment's hesitation, she continued; "I am 578 years old."
His jaw nearly hit the floor in shock. He looked at her features intently, his mind clawing desperately for anything to say. She didn't look a day over 25, and hadn't since the 40's.
"That's... um, pretty old." He stuttered out. Well, that was not what he had meant to say.
Her melodic laugh reached his ears and he had to admit, he breathed out a sigh of relief. "Captain, that is not a very becoming thing to say to a lady," She giggled. "I am barely a quarter of the way through my life span."
"God, sorry I didn't mean it like that, just... It's all so strange."
"I know, Captain. It is a long time in comparisons to a Midgardians life. I hope that it does not disturb you too much."
In the silence of the room, Steve suddenly became aware of the distance between them, or rather, the lack thereof. She was so close he could almost feel her breath on her face, as her eyelashes fluttered, looking up at him.
Her irresistible eyes.
He could reach out and grab her, right now. It would be easy, romantic, passionate, wonderful. He wanted to do it, badly. To feel his hands on her waist, to wrap her in his arms. He wondered, briefly, if she would tangle her hands in his hair.
In the real world, he couldn't do it. They had been apart for nearly a century, and even when they knew each other, they hadn't gotten that far. He didn't know if she still... felt that way.
His head was spinning, everything seemed to be moving too quickly and too slowly at the same time. Mayday, mayday, mayday.
He cleared his throat and moved away. Well, it was more of a jump. So much for looking normal, he thought to himself.
"We should go for dinner, uh... people will be waiting." He examined her features. She smiled politely, but her eyes betrayed something else. Was that... disappointment he detected? He was probably wishful thinking.
"Of course, Captain. I will get changed into the clothes Natasha brought for me, and then we shall go." She elegantly picked up some clothes, and wandered to the bathroom.
----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Dinner was lively as ever. At Thor's request, everyone had joined the team in the dining room for some pizza. Steve and the Princess wandered in later than everybody else, but were welcomed with cheers and laughter. It was nice.
"Princess (y/n)!" Thor boomed, motioning his friends over to two empty seats beside him. "I believe you have met everyone bar the young master Parker, over here." He pointed towards a young brunet boy, sitting rather awkwardly at the corner of the large table.
He waved, whispering a barely audible "Hi."
"Hello, Master Parker. I am (y/n) of Alfheim."
"Yeah, I heard, um. It's Peter, not Master Parker. My name I mean. If you want to- if it's your tradition or whatever you can call me that too I just... um, most of the uh avengers call me Peter, I mean." He placed a hand over his face in what even the princess understood was teen angst.
"Peter, then." She smiled politely at the young, flailing boy.
"I call him bugboy, if that's any more appeasing to you." A familiar voice parted through the din of the many, many conversations being had around the table. The princess looked to see Bucky sitting across from them, next to the man called Sam.
She laughed politely, at his joke, understanding immediately that the young avenger certainly experienced a lot of jokes at his expense.
Her attention was diverted, once again, by Mr. Stark. "Have you ever had the Midgardian delicacy of pizza, your highness?" There was a hint of sarcasm to his deference, that was not unnoticed by (y/n).
"Tony, she lived in Brooklyn in the 40s. Of course she's had pizza." Steve spoke up for her, also noticing the way Tony laced disquiet with her titles. He was being overprotective over pizza, and even though he was aware of the fact, he couldn't stop himself.
"Actually, Captain, I never got around to trying it during my time here."
A silence befell the dining room.
"What?" The harsh words came from Bucky, but it was a sentiment echoed quickly by Cap, and then young Peter.
"How could you have lived in New York for several years, and not had pizza?" Steve laughed at the Princess, who sheepishly smiled.
"I honestly did not realise it was a food, and I lived mostly on army rations anyway..." She explained.
"Oh my god, she's never lived." Sam spoke, dead-pan.
Tony finally interrupted the cacophony. "Well then, ma'am, consider this evening an education."
------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The evening was lovely. The conversation (and wine) flowed, never a dull moment. Thor and the Princess dazzled with tales of their worlds and the many battles they had faced. Steve and Bucky reminisced with the Princess about the times they had shared together.
As the evening grew quieter, the Princess found herself feeling safe, for the first time in a while. She was all too aware of Cap's arm slung over the back of her chair, dangerously close to being around her shoulders. Her heart skipped a beat every time he leant down to her ear, to share something only with her. It was an honour and a privilege, for his words to reach only her ear.
For the last 80 years, she had felt like she was spinning out of control. With the war, and especially the last attack, things had been worse than ever. But now, she could get used to this.
She dared, as she laughed at one of Tony's jokes, to put her head on the Captain's shoulder. As she did, she happened to catch Bucky's eye - he smiled and winked.
Yeah, she could definitely get used to this.
Unfortunately, she wouldn't get the chance to.
Thor's Gossiping Mouth Helped This Time
Laying on the long couch in the Stark tower living room i had been staring at my phone for who knows how many hours. I had recently went on a date with my current crush and he said he would text me later...except it's been almost two weeks and I have gotten no response. I normally didn't get this worried about relationships since I was an Avenger and had really no time for one. But the waiting is killing me right now.
"Y/n, how long are you going to keep staring at that phone?' Lifting my head up I saw Tony enter the room in a stained work shirt since he had been down in his lab working on his suits.
Laying my phone in my lap I sniped at him. "I just thought he would have messaged me back already. I thought the date had went so well."
"I donât see the need for that tiny magical device when you have someone in front of you that care for you, Lady Y/n." Thor came from the kitchen with a big sandwich in his hands.
Tony whipped his head around at the God. "Nobody asked you, Lord Shakespeare!"
"I am not this Shakespeare you speak of. My name is Thor and I didn't need your permission to speak when I can tell that you have feelings for Lady Y/n." Thor points his freehand in my direction on the couch.
I was only half paying attention to the bickering going on between the two grown adult men. Holding the phone in my hands I couldnât stop the negative thoughts that were being to form in my mind. I had decided that it was time I tried my hand at getting a boyfriend. I loved being an Avenger but I wanted a life away from the superhero life even if it was only for a few hours. "Why weren't you text back, Dustin?" I mumbled under my breath seeing the time on my phone read 11:58pm, two minutes till midnight. Meaning I had been waiting by the phone all dang day and....absolutely nothing.
"Shakespeare wrote plays and poetry. Seriously what did they teach you on whatever planet you came from?" Tony covered his face with his hands.
Thor had nearly finished the whole footlong sub in a matter of seconds talking with his mouth full but Tony still heard what he had said. "If Shakespeare was this great writer. Maybe you should see if he can give you some tips to get over your fears and just tell Lady Y/n how madly in love with her you are."
"Frustrating god man." Tony stomped, brushing past him and left around the corner.
I locked my phone screen hearing the bedroom door slammed behind him. Getting to my feet I sat my phone on the table following after the billionaire and man who declared he was Iron Man to the whole world. Standing outside his bedroom door I paused before pushing it opened seeing him laying on the bed facing the window. Crossing the room I sit down touching his shoulder. "Tony, are you okay?"
"Thor needs to keep his mouth shut. He doesn't have the right to tell how I feel about you." He grumbled under his breath clearly annoyed.
I slowly pushed him onto his back so he was looking at me instead of the wall. "And how do you feel about me, Stark?" I needed to know what was going through his head. He normally just said whatever he was thinking but now he was holding back from me. Which I didn't care for...I thought we were closer than that. Unless my feelings towards him were wrong.
"It doesnât matter Y/n. You're already dating that uh...Dustin guy. I've lost my chances." The billionaire covered his face with his hands trying to hide.
Removing his hands from his face I shook my head retracting what he believed. "Tony, I am not dating anyone. Dustin and I went on one date and clearly he doesn't feel the same way since he hasn't messaged me in over a week. So I say hell to him cause I only care about you...I always have."
"You're not joking, Y/n. Because if you are I will make Dum-E kick you out of my house right now." Tony sat up on the pillows behind his head hands in his lap.
Rather than answer him verbally I leaned forward pressing my lips onto his. He pauses briefly before he released what was happening and he kissed back. Tony wrapped his arms around my waist tugging me against his chest and my fingers threaded themselves into his black locks. O moaned into the kiss when one of his hands ran through my hair making it a mess until we needed air. "I think that proves I'm not joking quite good donât you think?"
"I might need some more convincing just to be sure. You know preforming issues and all." He chuckled drawing me in for another deep kiss. Wrapping my arms around his neck we fell backwards onto the pillows. Rest assured Tony wasn't angry over Thor's big mouth anymore.
