C'est l'anniversaire de l'ado, je vais préparer un petit dej incroyable avec des croissants, des pancakes, du jus d'orange, du pudding de chia avec des fruits rouges et du coulis, du chocolat chaud, du café et du thé. A midi, on se fera un petit apéro et puis son plat préféré ⭐les pêches au thon⭐ et le soir on prévoit un resto mais celui auquel je pensais est fermé donc on doit en trouver un autre.

TAPA APPELÉE BANDERILLE
D'origine du nord de l'Espagne, L'une des tapas populaires servies dans les bars du Pays Basque, est la "Banderilla". 
Elles tirent leur nom des lances, une extrémité porte la lance et l'autre du papier froissé de différentes couleurs, utilisées lors des Corridas par les "banderilleros", qui tentent de les planter dans les épaules du taureau. 
"La banderilla", en tant que "tapa" froide aigre-épicée, est composée d'olives vertes, de poivrons verts marinés épicés appelés guindillas, d'anchois ou de thon conservés dans de l'huile d'olive et de concombres marinés embrochés ensemble . 
Parfois, d'autres ingrédients marinés comme des oignons, du poivron rouge ou des carottes sont ajoutés.
Pour la réaliser, il vous faut...

• Poivrons verts marinés  épicés 
• Concombres marinés
• Anchois en conserve
• Brochettes
Égouttez et embrochez les ingrédients sur les cure-dents ou les brochettes.

Pour notre dernière journée sur l'île de Chiloé, nous commençons par une activité attendue depuis des semaines par un Dr Rathatton surexcité : les pinguinoooooos !

Sur le site Punihuil, deux espèces différentes : le Humboldt et le Magellan, qui se différencient par ... une bande de couleur noire. Bon, oui, ils ont l'oeil nos guides.

Après être montés sur une charette version taxi VIP 5* et s'être faits pousser à l'eau pour monter sur le bateau sans se mouiller les pieds, c'est parti pour les petits îlots à quelques centaines de mètres de la plage.

On détecte presque immédiatement une petite colonie de pingouins qui observent l'océan du haut de leurs 65cm. En cette période, un des deux parents reste au nid pour couver les oeufs, qui mettent tout de même 45j à éclore, pendant que l'autre part manger 3kg de poisson, soit... la moitié de son poids. Vorace la bestiole.

Alors que nous observons la colonie se coller délicatement au bord d'un rocher, et s'en faire arracher violemment par une grosse vague (*pouf* magie, plus de pingouin), un de leurs collègues décide de désescalader une paroi en patounant de ses pattes palmées. Sacrément efficace pour la taille de la bestiole !

On suit nos chers pingouinos dans les vagues, les regardant sauter tels des dauphins en montant jusqu'à 8km/h, et on fait le tour de l'île. De l'autre côté, une autre bande de palmidés regarde avec circonspection la mer, ne semblant pas très motivés à se mouiller. Notre guide crie alors "Phoqua !", et nous vouons en effet une jolie tête grise en train de se régaler de poissons à quelques mètres de la falaise. On nous explique alors qu'ils ne sont pas exactement meilleurs amis avec les pingouins, puisqu'ils s'en font volontiers un petit snack.

En faisant le tour des îlots, on découvre une belle variété d'oiseaux : des cormorans impériaux ou aux pattes rouges, des genres d'oies, des canards à la vapeur ("ben oui, ils ne peuvent pas voler !" Vous ne comprenez pas le lien ? Nous non plus en fait, vos hypothèses sont les bienvenues), des goélands, ca pioupioute sec, un phoque se prélasse sur des rochers, à peine gêné par les beuglements de notre guide qui essaye d'attirer son attention à coup d'imitations digne d'un Dr Rathatton faisant le mouton, que du bonheur.

Le tour n'est pas très long, mais on a vu plein de pingouins, et on était VIP, seulement tous les 3 dans le bateau !

Nous partons ensuite pour la petite ville de Ancud, où nous visitons un musée très intéressant sur l'architecture des églises locales, avec présentation des techniques d'encastrement de poutre, très sympa. Le midi, c'est resto traditionnel à base de fruits de mer (et de viande salée et saucisse en bonus pour Touille, ils sont généreux dans les portions !!), on se régale, puis il est temps de faire nos adieux à Chiloé et de retourner sur le continent.

Une douche bien chaude et les cheveux propres plus tard, nous finissons la journée les fesses dans le sable volcanique, une magnifique vue sur lesdits volcans et le lac géant en premier plan ! Dr Rathatton se fait même des amis poilus quand elle leur donne la fin de sa purée au thon particulièrement pas bonne. "Immonde ? Non destiné à la consommation humaine ?" seront ses mots lorsque je lui demanderai un descriptif de ce thon suspect.

Shadow and Amy were early adopters of an event that Sonic and Rouge founded called the “Hot Lunch Jam-A-Thon”. Basically, participants dance, lip sync and/or play air instruments to a looped version of “Hot Lunch Jam” by Irene Cara, either in teams or as individuals, and the last one standing is the winner. Shadow can go for as long as he wants, while Amy gets tired if she does it for too long. Nevertheless, they have lots of fun, and they really like the fact that the money raised by the event goes to funding school lunches for underprivileged students.
P.S., This submission is dedicated to the memory of Irene Cara.

Le vignoble a été planté en 1974 par Monika et André Boucher. D’une superficie de 20 hectares, il a toujours été conduit en agriculture biologique, une conviction d’André Boucher (1ère certification en 1987).
Monika et AndréIl est situé sur des coteaux d’arène granitique à l’extrême sud est de l’île à Sainte-Lucie de Porto-Vecchio. Il se compose essentiellement de cépages corses qui sont principalement le Niellucciu, le Sciaccarellu et le Vermentinu.
André Boucher livra dans un premier temps ses raisins en caves coopératives avant de trouver une cave qui accepta de vinifier son vin en prestation de service avec les contraintes liées au bio.
Après avoir obtenu son diplôme d’œnologue et avoir acquis de l’expérience en vinifiant en France et en Australie, Gwenaële, leur fille, rentra sur le domaine en 2000. C’est avec sa mère Monika, qu’elle monta un projet de cave sur l’exploitation et que le vin 2003 vit le jour dans cette nouvelle cave.

The vineyard was planted in 1974 by Monika and André Boucher. Covering an area of ​​20 hectares, it has always been conducted in organic farming, a conviction of André Boucher (1st certification in 1987).

Le bateau prêt à repartir : nouvel étai largable, nouvelle gazinière qui s'est décrochée de ses cardans dans les violentes secousses de la traversée après 32 ans de bons et loyaux services, nouveau foc 1 qui donnait des signes de faiblesse et que j'ai toujours connu sur le Romarin depuis 1986 ! Nouvelle bande anti-UV pour le gênois, nouveau système efficace pour éviter que les lattes s'envolent de la grand voile en pleine navigation, réparation du bimini déchiré lors de la tentative de sauvetage en hélicoptère, bandes antidérapantes sur le plancher du bateau, il nous reste à recevoir 8 nouvelles cellules au lithium pour la propulsion. Mais nous ne serons pas au bout de nos peines. De nouvelles difficultés nous attendent : le passage du détroit de Gibraltar avec ses courants, ses vents forts, son trafic intense et les attaques d'orques toujours plus nombreuses entre Cadix et Gibraltar. Certains défenseurs des orques trouvent plus juste de parler d'interactions avec les orques plutôt que d'attaques. Les orques s'attaquent uniquement au safran, partie du gouvernail immergé, des voiliers, jamais aux hommes envers lesquels elles ne montrent aucun comportement agressif. Les attaques sont presque quotidiennes aux mois de mai et juin au large du cap Trafalgar, Elles semblent liées au passage des thons rouges qui remontent dans le détroit à cette période. Une autre hypothèse consiste à dire qu'une orque blessée par un bateau enseignerait à ses jeunes d'attaquer les safrans par vengeance. Ou encore, les voiliers apparaissent comme des concurrents dans la chasse au thon dont le nombre a beaucoup baissé avec la surpêche. Les orques sont des animaux intelligents et protégés qui communiquent entre eux. On en dénombre à peu près une soixantaine dans le détroit. Les équipages des voiliers qui ont subi ces interactions en sont quittes pour une bonne frayeur. Certains voiliers ont dû faire appel aux secouristes n'étant plus manoeuvrant. D'autres ont eu des voies d'eau importantes et ont coulé. Nous avons rencontré Sébastien Destremeau, skipper du Vendée Globe et deuxième à la Route du Rhum dans la catégorie Rhum Mono en 2018, en escale forcée à Puerto America à Cadix qui a eu son safran détruit, voici le récit de son interaction avec les orques : Alors qu'il convoyait un bateau et naviguait au large du cap Trafalgar, une dizaine d'orques se sont attaquées à son safran. « on les a vu arriver d'assez loin, j'ai cru que le vent se levait et on a compris que, cette fois, c'était pour nous. » Selon son récit, 20 orques ont nagé vers son bateau. Le groupe s'est ensuite scindé en deux et au moins 8 animaux ont commencé à viser le navire et notamment son safran. Comme le recommande la procédure en cas d'attaque du GTOA protocole, Sébastien met alors à l'arrêt le voilier et affale les voiles. Après cette expérience, je ne suis pas du tout convaincu qu'arrêter le navire soit la bonne stratégie, confie t'il à posteriori. Alors que le bateau de 15 tonnes est arrêté, les orques continuent à le viser jusqu'à endommager le safran. «Une heure sous les coups de boutoir, c'était très impressionnant et on avait très peur. C'est terrifiant de sentir un bateau de 15 tonnes se faire secouer comme une coquille de noix. On en menait pas large à bord. J'avais vraiment peur que le bateau coule.    The irritation in the room was palpable.
   It was building, mounting, but no one was going to dare say a word. Instead, hostile glances were shared amongst each other, quick as a flash, zigging and zagging through the room and over gritted teeth.
   Next week was exam week. From Monday through to Friday, each and every student at Aozora Middle School was going to get nailed, slammed, hammered, and smashed in every subject that they took with the mid-year exams. No one was looking forward to it. It was going to be a gruelling gauntlet with the rest of the year on the line.
   So, this week, the week before was study week. It was a time of tenuous alliances, friends, comrades, and allies alike helped each other prep, hashing out the best and worst of studying. It was meant to be a quiet time of reflection disrupted only by the chaos of cramming but Natsuumi Manatsu was very much not helping.
   Thus, the level of stress inside of the club room was beginning to go through the roof.
   Manatsu couldn’t help herself! She wasn’t studious like the serious Minori nor was she very good at keeping her hands and feet together like the ever prim Sango. She was a ball of kinetic energy and nothing could keep her down. Not even knowing that if she failed even one of her exams next week, her grades for the rest of the year would be brought down by that poor performance putting her middle school diploma in jeopardy.
   That kind of pressure was really throwing Manatsu off her game. Even if she was scraping by at just over the bare minimum despite how much effort she put in or how many guesses she threw at the wall during multiple choice questions. 
   It was a really different atmosphere compared to her schooling so far back in her hometown, or home island, really.
   Elementary school really was the training wheels of education, she was realising as algebraic formulas swirled in front of her eyes. Her school being so tiny wasn’t helping either, she had been given a mish mash of everything and none of it was gelling in the face of an actual, proper textbook. And the fact that they were constantly having school outside because “the weather was nice” also gave her so many more opportunities to burn off her ever tumultuous natural rhythm by running around and playing.
   For now, the best she could do to channel this frenzy was by being annoying. She can’t help it! 
   Manatsu was bouncing her leg underneath her chair. Her knee kept hitting the underside of the desk which made the whole desk jostle against Sango’s. Sango was doing her best to ignore it but that just turned her into yet another piece of the Rube Goldberg device which Manatsu had put into motion by simply being Manatsu. As a result, it seemed all her energy ricocheted in every direction, off desks and off the walls.
   “Oh, for crying out loud, please, Manatsu, can you cease your incessant fidgeting!” Laura exclaimed, exasperated. Completely and utterly out of patience. She didn’t even need to study! So that’s how bad it was.
   “Ah, sorry, I can’t help it.” Manatsu warbled. “I-I’m really struggling.”
   “I’m sorry to hear that Manatsu but that’s no reason to take it out on us.” Minori negotiated.
   “That’s not what I’m trying to do.” Manatsu replied, her voice twisted as she felt like she was being accused by her clubmates of something heinous when it was a lot more innocent than that. Her heart started to race.
   “I-I’d help but… yeah…” Sango murmured, fawning.
   Manatsu sighed heavily. Yeah indeed. She already remembered the incident that Sango couldn’t bring herself to refer to, it had been that traumatising for her. Even remembering it, Manatsu shivered. She was a terrible student and Sango was too nice. It got them nowhere except in frustrated circles.
   “Oi, oi, quit ganging up on Manatsu.” Asuka piped up like a voice of reason coming through the clouds.
   Manatsu’s spirits began to soar. That was her president! She felt her heart begin to race as Asuka got up and sauntered closer to her desk. She began to smile, hopeful that Asuka had an idea to help her and if not, well, having her heart in the right place was more than enough for Manatsu.
   After all, she had a ginormous crush on Asuka these days.
   It was probably really obvious, actually. Manatsu was a fanatic for her upperclassman and she wasn’t exactly a closed book like others she could name (cough, Minori, cough). She had no intentions of her confessing her feelings but since she felt them so loud and clear, they were probably broadcast well ahead of any coherent confession she could muster. 
   Besides… They were a third year and a first year… It wasn’t going to work out in the long run, more akin to a fleeting summer memory so Manatsu was happy to babble on as she was. Enjoying the day and seizing it, every memory was precious! Especially when she made them not only with all her friends of the Tropical Club but Asuka especially. She was their president, after all, and with good reason, too.
   Asuka was a shining beacon of the kind of person that Manatsu aspired to be. She was level-headed but no nonsense and pursued whatever she put herself into with one-hundred per-cent effort. She got good grades and did great in sports. She always had a plan, too, but could roll with the punches if the going got tough. She was a magnificent upperclassman but there was more to her than that for Manatsu. 
   Manatsu simply adored Asuka in ways that senpai and kouhai only usually did in soppy J-Dramas and anime. 
   Though, overall, Manatsu wasn’t sure when aspiration turned into admiration. Probably when it went beyond the inner self qualities that Asuka displayed like leadership and justice, when Manatsu began to enjoy the scent of her shampoo and conditioner. That was a little embarrassing but Cure Flamgino’s charm point was her hair for good reason - even if it made Manatsu feel like a gawky pervert whenever she noticed that silky-sporty smell of argan oil.
   Speaking of, there it was, when Asuka pulled up by Manatsu’s desk, put one hand on her hip and used the other to flick her long, red hair off her shoulders. She peered into Manatsu’s workbook and tried to make heads and tails of the chaos on those pages. She hummed thoughtfully which prompted Minori to take a gander too.
   “Er. Good luck.” Minori bade her in a tiny voice.
   Manatsu chewed her lip. That didn’t bode well and yet.
   “Eureka. I have an idea.” Asuka said and her hand unfolded from her nook on her hip, she snapped her fingers.
   “You do?” Sango and Laura both inquired sceptically, albeit in different cadences.
   “Manatsu, if the problem is that you can’t focus, let’s find a way to re-centre you without disrupting everyone around you.” Asuka said and she picked up Manatsu’s pen. “When you need to think, how about you twist your pen cap around, like so.” 
   Asuka dramatically pinched the cheap, store bought pen by its bright blue cap between her fingers and everyone stared and stared until. Twist. She demonstrated her idea to the anticipated chagrin of Laura, Minori, and Sango and yet, when the cap twisted to the left, it didn’t so much as squeak. Even though it looked like the shiniest, cheapest plastic, it didn’t make a noise but it did move and that was the main thing.
   That was what got Manatsu’s attention. She blinked. She liked the motion of it though. She nodded. It was clear to everyone but her that Asuka was trying to train her akin to Pavlov's dog to associate that pen noise with the headpats but whatever worked, right? Assuming it did, of course.
   “O-Okay.” Manatsu said.
   “If this works…” Minori said under her breath.
   “But wait, there’s more.” Asuka added like an infomercial. “I also think you are struggling with rewards. Studying is boring, amirite?”
   “So right!” Manatsu cheered and she punched the air.
   “So how’s this for a deal, every time you get a question correct, or can at least do the formula correctly in this math homework, I’ll give you a head pat.”
   “Oh, ho, ho, is that bribery and corruption I detect?” Laura teased, laughing.
   “Nooo, it’s so cute. And kind.” Sango argued to defend the honour of their beloved club president.
   “Okay.” Manatsu mumbled, smiling giddily.
   Asuka handed Manatsu her pen back and after this dramatic break, they all returned to their seats for a bit more studying. 
   Manatsu took a breath and her hand trembled. Her pen quivered and she glanced at Asuka who was studying a desk or two adjacent to her. She nodded her head, gave her a thumbs-up, and the cherry on top was that ever encouraging smile of hers. Manatsu exhaled and that helped a little.
   She looked back to her study sheet and felt a little clearer. When she ignored the uzumaki and tempura prawns that she had drawn in her aimless doodling to procrastinate Pythagorean theorems. Still, with Asuka backing her, she felt like she could do anything so she went step-by-step, she gave herself every advantage even though she knew she wouldn’t have them in the exam and when she went in circles, she tried Asuka’s trick.
   When she couldn’t think, Manatsu twisted her pen cap around and around. It distracted her long enough to declutter her mind and find it in her to restart rather than agonise. After a couple rounds of trying and distracting herself, voila…
   Manatsu got the first question right according to the back of the beat but that was clearly with a lot of help from her notes so she tried again. This time, she cut down on how much she relied on her beginner notes and soon enough, she was doing better than before. Not getting them all right but showing enough work on the right track that she would get half points which could scrape together for a sizable pass.
   After trucking along on her own for a while, and more importantly, leaving the others alone so they could study in peace, Asuka checked up on Manatsu.
   “How’s it goin’, squirt?” Asuka asked, cheeky and casual.
   She leaned on her arm, holding onto the back of Manatsu’s chair for balance. If Manatsu straightened her back, she was able to feel her spine brush up against Asuka’s arm and so, for both their sakes, she didn’t do that. She instead hunkered down, embarrassed that she was still a crapshoot in maths but hey, her aim was getting better.
   “It’s getting there.” Manatsu replied.
   “I’m glad.” Asuka said and she straightened up.
   She looked down on Manatsu and she was caught at just the right angle for the sunset to illuminate her. A sunbeam coloured her even more beautifully than how she normally composed herself and Manatsu felt herself go weak at her knees underneath the desk as Asuka reached out to her and pet her head.
   “Good job, good job.” Asuka praised her, sing-songy.
   It made Manatsu feel like she was the only girl in the clubroom. Her heart pounded as she relished the feeling of how Asuka’s hand playfully carded through the strands of her hair. She scratched Manatsu’s scalp with her fingers and used her palm to rough her up. It was sweet like how only a cool older sis could be.
   “D’you like that?” Asuka teased. Or maybe flirted. If Manatsu could dare to misconstrue Asuka’s jokey personality.
   “Er… yeah.” Manatsu replied.
   “I’m glad.” Asuka said. “Now, here’s phase two of my three step plan. You listening?”
   “Of course!” Manatsu replied and for her enthusiasm, she was rewarded with yet more of a massage to the crown of her head.
   “Good.” Asuka smirked and with her free hand, she reached across to Manatsu’s desk to snatch the pen she had set down in her pause. “And you hafta remember it well, too. ‘Cause next week, when you're in an exam and you need a pick-me-up after you know you’ve kicked ass but you’ve still got a bunch of questions on the page, I need you to remember that. Especially when…”
   It was at this point, wherein Asuka was being her own one-woman magic show, that Asuka ceased her petting of Manatsu’s head to focus on this next phase in her plan. She brandished the pen, wielding it like a magic wand and then presto. She uncapped it and let it click and flick. The resulting noise was what the others were worried about: another bad habit for Manatsu to pick up and annoy everyone with.
   “You hear that noise, got it?”
   Manatsu was immediately taken with it. Too enamoured with Asuka to see its potential as a new vector of irritating those around her and so, took it to heart: a strange combination but hey if it worked. So, whenever she got something right, she could do this to her pen.
   “Got it!” Manatsu replied, excited, and nodded her head vigorously. 
   “Great, now, here’s something else to sweeten the pot,” Asuka said, ever so sly but smiling, “when you get all your passes in every class, you have to show me and I’ll give you a special reward.”
   Manatsu’s heart thudded in her chest, she nodded again albeit just once this time as she breathily replied, “Got it,” to affirm she understood Asuka’s instructions.
   “Perfect.” Asuka winked at her.
   “Get a room.” Minori muttered to herself.
   Sango hid a giggle with her hand but Laura rolled her eyes, folded her arms entirely unimpressed with this shameless and almost salacious scene. Luckily, it was time to pack up as not even a minute later, Sakuragawa-sensei would come to remind them that they could be dismissed for the day.
    Ultimately all her announcement did, however, did was remind them that there were still more days of this hell - and studying - ahead of them. It was never going to end but Manatsu was improving. Miraculously and all thanks to Asuka’s unusual technique of coddling her but the real test would of course be the upcoming exams.
   Each day and each period was a different and unique challenge. Manatsu bore a stiff upper lip through all of them. Club activities were cancelled for the week, after all, so students could focus their all on getting good marks. For Manatsu, that incentivised her all the more as she spent half her exams actually answering the questions and the rest daydreaming about Asuka’s headpats via the clicks and twists of her pens.
   Hey, that was an improvement on her previous behaviour. Even her other classmates who were not Sango had noticed a marked difference between the old Manatsu and this new Manatsu was a janky mathematical machine. She was no longer kicking her knees under tables or jostling them. One pen click per half an hour was far less innocuous than some would fear, actually. 
   Still, all those pen clicks and imaginary headpats added up, just like her marks - or so Manatsu could only hope. Since the teachers put so much pressure on the students during this mid-year exam frenzy, it was only right they repaid the students’ hard work by returning their marks post-haste. But even that wasn’t quick enough for Manatsu. She needed to know what Asuka’s special reward for her would be.
   Though she had her suspicions. Probably a shoulder punch paired with a “Good job, kiddo,” or maybe some spare lunch money for extra melon-pan if she was extraordinarily lucky. It didn’t matter, big or small, Manatsu would cherish whatever Asuka had in store for her assuming she passed her exams with flying colours.
   Still, it was agony, the week of absence, of not knowing if she had passed or failed, that tortured Manatsu all the more than the actual studying beforehand. So when those classes slowly doled out the results, she could have jumped over the moon when she saw her marks. Sixties, seventies, even as high as the eighties in one instance.
   “Good job.” Sakuragawa-sensei whispered to her as she passed her exam back. “It looks like Takizawa-san has been a good influence on you.”
   “Yeah, she has!” Manatsu replied, a touch too loud which made her teacher laugh.
   Sakuragawa didn’t even know the half of it which amused Manatsu. But that was the last exam she needed! Now to go and race to Asuka to get her special reward. As soon as lunch time rolled around, Manatsu rocketed out the door to go chase down her senpai. It simply could not wait until after school at club activities.
   Manatsu found Asuka by herself in the shade of a wiry tree on the corner of the quadrangle. She was typically alone. Due to the feathers she had ruffled in the tennis club, she was on the outskirts of her peers in her own year. That meant she could hog the best spots along the school’s courtyard for herself though so it was a decent trade-off. This tree in particular was kind of neglected and even private, funnily enough.
   When Asuka saw her, she greeted Manatsu with a hand signal and sucked the last of her juice box.
   “What’s up, Manatsu?” she asked.
   She got up and dusted her ankle-length skirt. It swished around her ankles and Manatsu stood excitedly in front of her. She bounced on her heels, huffing and puffing in her excitement. She took a deep breath and mustered her loudest voice, only for it to fold in the face of her crush. She let a cuter side out instead of her usual bombastic self.
   “I did it.” Manatsu said in a small voice, she clutched all her returned papers in tightly and blushed. “All thanks to you, senpai.”
   “Good job, Manatsu. I’m proud of ya.” Asuka replied.
   She pet the top of Manatsu’s head for likely the final time. At least until the end of year exams but since Asuka was graduating this year, she mightn’t end up with any time in a couple months’ time to help Manatsu study so she better savour it. The feel and length of her fingers, the warmth on the pads of her digits, the sparkle in her smile as her teeth peeked through.
   “So, do you want that special reward?” Asuka asked, cocky.
   “Eh? This isn’t it?” Manatsu chirped, surprised.
   “Not all of it, no.” Asuka said and she had Manatsu melting underneath her hand.
   She massaged Manatsu’s scalp some more, played with her hair and petted her crown. All whilst lowering herself more and more to Manatsu’s level. Manatsu watched, thunderstruck and smiling like a blushing fool, as Asuka came down and kissed her.
   The kiss was warm. Asuka’s lips were sun-warmed and tasted like cherry chapstick with a zinc-y consistency. Manatsu kissed back. All bluster, all emotions firing on all cylinders, absolutely no technique as this was her first kiss and she never thought to practise but Asuka laughed into it. She was charmed by Manatsu’s earnestness as she took it nice and slow, languid, taking the lead and allowing Manatsu to just enjoy the ride until she ran out of breath.
   Asuka broke off the kiss and laughed, good-naturedly, at Manatsu’s expense as she began to pant. Her heart raced and her brain felt devoid of oxygen: only Asuka in its place.
   “You're so cute, Manatsu,” Asuka said, “and I’m happy you passed your exams. You worked hard and you earned that special reward.” Her voice turned cool and slinky.
   “Th-Thank you.” Manatsu stuttered through a massive but wonky grin.
   Her crush on Asuka really was that blatant, wasn’t it? She was flattered, of course. This was better than a dream come true since not only was she kissing her beloved club president, she was getting an above average (by her standards, anyway) passing grade. 
   Asuka flashed her another one of her signature smirks, “Let’s keep working hard to the end of the year, yeah?” She gave a fist pump.
   “Yeah!” Manatsu cheered.
   The “to the end of the year” stuck out like a sore thumb in Asuka’s encouragement of her. It was a little bittersweet but for reasons that Manatsu had puzzled out well ahead of this back and forth of special rewards but that was more than enough for her with her head in the clouds with her crush on Asuka.
