this was fucking gross, the dirt was cold and wet. bordering on mud status and now seeping into the cloth of your shorts & t-shirt as you lay into the earth. you were tired and just needed some rest before you continued on. the old abandoned house you had been using as shelter became over-ran with some infected while you were out one day. so it was back to the forest floor for now.

it had been six months since that night… six months of falling in love with your new life at the stadium, six months of manny becoming the closest friend you’ve ever known, six months of training.. six months of a total cold shoulder from abby. you didn't even know if you could call it that, lord knows she never spared her snarky comments towards you at dinner or when the two of you got paired together on runs. always saying something about how you never do anything right, then carrying on while she tells you all the reasons they should've just left you there in the forest to rot.

abby's presence captures all of manny's attention while she talks him into going to grab another bottle, you sit uncomfortably and slightly tipsy as she finally convinces him. he gives you a little salute before heading off, leaving you and abby alone. you feel the liquor drop like an anchor in your stomach and your eyelids become heavy, you suddenly aren't sure how much longer you wanna stay.. where did she come from? if she was listening, why? you could have sworn manny said everyone else was out for the night..?

This adventure has him learn to actually stop for a freaking second and TALK to others without DECIDING FOR THEM he actually has to convince them to follow him rather than throw the situation at them hoping for the best without considering the consequences like he did with Dee and Elita, he lowers down and is HONEST and doesn't just go "this is for the best!" but "are you with me then?" cause consequences are supposed to be faced together instead of thrown into them you are suppose to give them a choice sadly he ends up learning it far too late Meanwhile, Dee shows all the signs of a pretty loyal mech cause no matter what dumb situation Orion decides to put them through he jumps in to help and support him in the end; sure, he will ramble and bitch about the situation but he is right behind when it counts even if they don't see each other eye-to-eye but it is okay for Dee since that dumbass is HIS dumbass and, therefore, his responsibility. Yet somehow, the flaw that makes Dee Megatron, out off all the things is the one that was beyond the detonator for this doom friendship because as vibrant and rebellious as his best friend is and as much as he makes a show of Fanboying over Sentinel and Megatronus as if wishing to stand by them he is, at the end of the day, a conformist, you even see it as early as the first few minutes into the movie when he takes a punch in the face for Orion; even when Dee laments how badly the punch hurts he doesn't think it was uncalled for, hell he tells Orion he DESERVED to be punched for "stopping a superior and tell him what to do" He sees himself as a lower being and that those in power have the right to enforced their power over those stepping out of line even if it means HE gets abused by it, he views himself and the rest of the miners as the 'low class who just needs to serve for the better of cybertron' and that's it, he would LIKE to have more in life but dreaming such thing only brings pain in the long run so shuts down every conversation Orion has with him about 'trying to be more than they are' cause in the end "We are weak, they are strong, we can never do what they can so why should we mourn in things that can never change? we just need to carry on"

He gets excited when she gets to explore somewhere new. If Op is really really wants to make it special he probably goes there ahead of time to make it extra special. Optimus love language is acts of love. If there is something he can do for her he’ll do it. Often times op will do the chores that were assigned to her around base. Yeah it not fair, but the more time she has the more time she has to spend with him. That also falls into his other love language, spending time with her. Quality time with the ones he loves is the most important thing to him. They are in a war and realistically he doesn’t know how much time he has.

25) “what’s there not to love?” -Elita.

Physically speaking, I mean he big. Big all over 🤭. But seriously tho, he’s kind and makes her feel safe. He is shy and you wouldn’t expect that if you barely met the guy. Especially cause he comes off as intimidating at first (she found it sexy.) but the goes away with the more time you spend with him and the team. He’s loving to a fault and cares a lot, though little bit too much overthinking. She likes how he treats the ones around him his faction having more of a family dynamic. They follow him out of respect and not not out of fear. He spends time with his team and tries to go the extra distance to show he cares. He’s a diff ent kind of prime for sure. He’s got his issues but his dedication to trying better himself is well… incredible attractive.

Optimus knew exactly who she was when he first saw Elita. It’s his old fling Ariel from his time of being Orion pax. They were going steady until he became a prime. Then it was like she disappeared and he could never seem to seek her out again. Time has not betrayed her. She’s still beautiful, more so now. Despite everything she never lost her spark or her wit. But she’s gained her skill as warriors. She incredibly strong and not someone you want to throw down with.

34) things get scary and real often. Almost dying, getting hurt, the rest of the team getting hurt. Lucky Optimus hasn’t had to deal with Elita getting injured badly, yet. But Optimus is a magnetic for getting gravely injured or gored. Dating a prime is… uhh let’s just say very emotionally draining. Seeing him like that constantly is the worst. And Elita is is usually helpless to do anything, she is near by making sure not to get in the way of Ratchet. Bumblebee is the one that steps in to comfort Elita. The rest of the team does their best to comfort her too but Bumblebee will not leave her side. When she’s aloud to she won’t leave his side either. Ratchet will ask her to get things for him like an extra energon run, just to give her something to do.

Once Op is recovering and doing better she’s very quiet. It is very noticeable because she’s a chatterbox. Optimus can’t do much but apologize and try to be more careful next time. She’ll get over her grief but it doesn’t hurt less the next time it happens.

I really do love Tim as a beta (tho he is always trans to me regardless). It irks me (when not done deliberately) when a charcter gets treated really badly until it's revealed that they were secretly an omega, and then all of a sudden they kinda get the love and societal role forced on them and suddenly becomes viable as a love interest. Like, betas deserve to be treated decently and be loved too! And omegas shouldn't have to put up with their shitty pack suddenly smothering them after years of neglect just because of their biology.

I am now inventing imaginary problems in your inbox, but maybe there are similar myths about betas like there is about masculinity. "betas don't need pack like alphas and omegas", like "men dont need to express their emotions like women".

Maybe stemming from that betas don't produce a very strong scent. You can smell if an A or O are stressed/angry/upset because they stink up the whole room, but you'd pretty much have to stick your nose in a betas neck to read them like that. But obviously that's because betas are the calm and stable sex. They just don't feel things as strongly as alphas and omegas!

Maybe in a world where betas are the minority research about beta health hasn't been prioritized. Some theorize that betas evolved just as extra hands for childrearing and keeping the peace between A's and O's, and to in a pinch help sire or carry children if the pack lacks more suitable members (though betas with testicles usually have a lower sperm count than alphas, and betas with wombs are comparatively less fertile, need longer breaks between pregnancies and are more likely to die in childbirth than omegas).

How being packless or neglected affects betas differently is a relatively new field of study only a few decades old, so society in general still has a lot of biases.

Anyways Tim suffers those more subtle symptoms of pack neglect. Maybe Bart who's from the future knows more about betas (maybe betas eventually became the majority?), and they're able to find a beta specialist for him.

Yeah, View of the Moon is the leader's rock, I like giving typical things in Warriors more fantastical names (like The Sanctuary AKA Moonpool from my other comic). It's named that way for two reasons, one is just that it's the tallest rock in camp so it's the easiest to see the sky from. And secondly because it's a paler color than the rest of the dens, so it looks a bit more like the moon.

Crow is actually one of Cormorantpaw's sisters, Partridge is his brother! Thrasher did treat women (namely, Egrettail and uh, his wife) very badly, though, so it's pretty safe to assume he's sexist.

Cormorantpaw's emotional development makes me :,) my boy has come so far... him and Pinepaw are so silly together!! Just two little guys!!!

Valerie eventually has to come to terms with her own ghostly nature. She has been imbued and empowered by nanobots and ectoplasm, and even when she isn't using any of it, she is different now

Technus is capable of mind controlling Valerie. Fortunately, he is stupid. He doesn't think to do so for a very long time, and it's obvious the moment he does

They never actually figure out how to prevent technus from controlling her. But thankfully he never gets good at it. Instead, he learns to fear being beaten like a pinata by teenagers

Eventually, the GIW is able to pick Valerie up on their sensors due to her super suit living under her skin

Valerie is not a halfa. She doesn't have ghost powers. To any ecologists, she seems highly contaminated and likely overshadowed.

Any attempt or even success in removing the ectoplasm and nanobots from her system will kill her.

Valerie was that kid who never missed a day of school even if she had the flu and everyone would have been safer if she had stayed home. Being sick just makes her stubbornly determined to persevere.

If Valerie were to ever come into contact with blood blossoms, she would feel pain within her entire body, followed by muscle spasms as if being jolted with electricity, and—with prolonged exposure—sores would open on her skin and start leaking ectoplasm.

Blood blossoms alone wouldn't kill her, unlike Danny. But they would weaken her immune system enough that something else likely would.

Valerie eventually develops a sort of sixth sense for electromagnetic fields

If Danny transforms into a human and keeps a lid on his powers, he can hide from the GIWs sensors. Valerie can never hide.

Valerie's eyes are opened to her own behavior toward ghosts after the GIW treat her as subhuman.

It's not Danny who saves her. It's Sam Manson.

Valerie's dad and Sam's parents work with the teen girls as they spearhead the ecto rights movement. Valerie becomes a figurehead. She hates it, but she hates the GIW more

Eventually when Valerie joins team Phantom, she learns that Tucker has been able to track her location using her nanobots this whole time

The more she learns about Danny's weird friends, the more she comes to respect them

Hey friendship with Sam is frightening to behold. The bond over the destruction of their enemies

She doesn't touch romance with a ten-foot pole, and is thankful nobody brings up feelings. Team Phantom have flashes of rage or betrayal or yearning, usually followed by an awkward silence. But mostly it's because they're low-key being hunted by the government

(Publicly, the government isn't hunting them at all. They strike indirectly, or when ghosts can take the blame. They place substitute teachers in Casper High, which is always badly understaffed. It's a strange cold war.)

Valerie never has the problems with controlling her nanobots that Danny did his powers, but sometimes her reflexes get the better of her.

Valerie would rather get angry than cry

She almost shot her dad once when he tried to wake her up from a nightmare. She bawled for two hours while he held her

She's honestly such a daddy's girl tho it's kind of embarrassing. If Young blood tried to sneak up on her while she was with him, he would immediately be spotted

As an unrepentant daddy's girl, Valerie is filled with unquenchable rage at the presumption of this undead weirdo

Technus might have tried challenging Valerie's dad if team Phantom didn't keep gaslighting him that he couldn't tell humans apart "omg Technus that's not even her dad. He has a completely different eye color"

Valerie accidentally activates the nanobots inside of Jazz. They can't do all of the things that Valerie's does, but between the two of them, they figure out how to strengthen her, as well as make her immune to overshadowing

Just realized i never actually sent the human domestication au thots... but hob is honestly so happy to belong to dream!! Earth is kinda still a wasteland from the nuclear war situation even as dreams species are trying to clean it up and hob is sososo thankful he managed to look sweet and pathetic enough to be picked up as a stray! (He is not sweet. Or pathetic. But he will act so for his beloved new owner.) Hob has to stay in one wing of the home for a long time but he honestly thought that was the whole building before dream said he would be let out soon... hes been seeing? Shadows?? A figure peeking in his window? Also dream keeps giving him new blankets that smell suspiciously like COLOGNE. Hob isnt sure what to make of this!! Until dream, very excited, tells hob hes going to be introduced to the other household pet. The Corinthian is not a human. Hes from a different planet dreams species has "domesticated". Hes honestly more than a bit scary with the whole teeth situation and he seems a lot less happy to be here than hob!! Dream plays with his tongues tho and he melts so fast hob cant help but laugh. Hes no better but at least he doesnt act like a tough guy about it. Dream has to pull the Corinthian off of hob (who could more than hold his own, obviously, but he likes the attention) basically,, its just introducing a new cat to a cat thats been the only pet for a very long time!!

Omg yes, perfect!!! I'm kind of obsessed with Cori being this feral, badly behaved pet. He loves Dream in his own way though and he is apparently NOT happy to find out that there's a new interloper in his territory...

After meeting Cori, Hob decides that he's definitely going to be so good and well behaved. He wants all the treats that he knows will be withheld if he messes up, and he kind of also wants to be Dream’s favourite?? He's not sure why but he's definitely jealous and he wants to make sure that he gets Dream’s attention.

Every time Dream puts them together in what is essentially a glorified play-pen, Cori wastes no time in jumping on Hob and trying to bite various bits on him. It takes Hob a ridiculously long time to figure out that that's actually Cori's way of trying to flirt with Hob!!

Dream leaves the room for a minute and comes back to find Hob getting absolutely railed from behind by Cori, who finally got what he wanted all along and is very much enjoying the new addition to the household. Dream should probably be mad about it but Hob looks soooo cute when he's drooling and whining and begging to cum. Safe to say Hob is definitely the bottom of the "pack" from now on. Especially if you ask Cori.

It was really hard to do this rank. To be honest, I like all of Until Dawn's characters, I even like the last character on the list, so:

1. Josh: I hate a lot of the things he says (especially about Ashley and Jessica even if he said them to motivate Chris and anger Mike) and a lot of things he did. But I do think he's a great character because he's the most interesting one to analyse, in my opinion. He's a really nuanced character, and he's really sympathetic. Like in the end you can't help but feel bad for him because you know none of it was his fault, everything is so unfair to him and as someone with younger siblings, I can definitely understand why he'd want revenge. And I could keep going about how he deserved better... Aside from that, he has some really iconic lines and moments. Especially as the psycho, I'm pretty sure I love all of the psycho scenes. Also, Rami Malek's acting is perfect he really made a difference. Josh just brought the drama, and honestly, his reveal made my jaw drop. He's iconic.

2. Chris: so chris is my second favourite because he's just so likeable to me. I feel like he reacted quite well to the events of the night (if you don't make the worst choices), yes he was in denial sometimes but who wouldn't? And he is a bit corny but it was 2015. He's a good friend to Josh and Sam, a good (potentially) boyfriend to Ashley. He has cool lines and he just seems like a cool dude. His monk prank nearly gave me a heart attack so props to him.

3. So Sam is also really likeable. She literally does nothing wrong! She's smart, beautiful, friendly, brave... But that's also a problem. She's too perfect. Not morally grey enough to me. I wish she just reacted more to things. I wish she was meaner to Mike, and I wish she stayed with Mike and Josh in the mines. Her leaving was so random, and it's less interesting than her staying. What I really like about her development is how she seems like she will be way less pacific and friendly after all of this when you see her in the credit scenes. She just seems so changed (understandable). Sadly, we will never see this side of her. I also wish we could see more of the relationship she had with Josh while dealing with the disappearance of his sisters since we know they bonded a lot over this. But hey, we can always imagine!

4. Emily: Yes, I am aware she's really hated, and I actually used to hate her too. But then I analysed her character, and I realised she's not a bad person. Sure, she has an attitude problem, and she uses Matt as a rebound (it doesn't necessarily make her a bad person, it's "just" unhealthy) while treating him badly sometimes (this is something that I hate about her tho); But everytime she got mad it was honestly valid: Hannah trying to get with Mike? Valid. (She did, however, overreact, and the others had no business joining in the prank) Jessica who was supposedly her best friend coming up with an awful prank to pretend she's helping her out, while she actually has a crush on her bf, then dating Mike after 2 of their friends disappeared because of the prank Jessica came up with since "she wanted Mike and Emily to stay happy together"? Valid!!!! Ashley and Mike threatening her with a gun?? Valid af! So yeah she never gets mad for no reason, plus she's a very capable woman and iconic (understand the palm of my hand bitch). The fandom is unfair (and misogynistic let's be honest) towards her.

5. Mike: So Mike is both an asshole and a hero, which kind of makes him interesting to me. Like he has funny moments and reactions, but he did really fucked up stuff. Like pranking his friend who has a crush on him!? It's so cruel for no reason. Potentially kill Emily too. But he can also be quite heroic, like when he runs after Hannah when she's dragging Jess away. Or how he tries to keep everyone together and just get everyone out of here. He has great survival and leadership skills. So I'm pretty mixed on him. I do think he had a bit too much alone screentime (we needed more from Jess and Matt). I do feel like he gets away with a lot of things.

6. Matt: So I really wanna root for the guy you know? Like I want him to get out of his relationship with Emily (even tho she can truly start loving him by the end), I want him to be happy. He's a good guy. And I really like that his character development starts if you stand up to Emily. But he didn't have enough screentime. So I can't rate him higher. I will give him props for traumatising me with his telescope jumpscare.

7. Jessica: So she's an asshole to me. But she's a bimbo and she's just so silly and goofy. I just can't hate her. She also went through a lot on the night, which makes me feel sympathy for her. But I can't rate her higher because 1. She's an asshole towards Hannah and Emily. 2. Not enough screentime.

8. Ashley: I know it's gonna be controversial. I DO like her, but I just don't understand her. She's a super interesting character to analyse. She's so morally grey, but sometimes I have a hard time feeling bad for her. I do think her freaking out was completely normal, tho. I don't understand the people who hate her because of that. I just feel like she rarely feels bad for people. She's a bit egoistic. Her letting Chris die was not fair to me. Yes, of course, it's normal to hate Chris if she shoots her. But he did it because he thought he had no choice. He was under the influence of fear. He would never kill her if he didn't have to. He thought his own life was at risk. But her not opening the door was not under the influence of fear. She did it out of pettiness. She was not risking her life by opening the door. And even if she actually did it because of fear, she would look terrified while Chris is getting killed. But she was just staring. She almost seemed to enjoy it. She also wanted Mike to shoot Emily. It seems like she completely loses control when she's on stressful situations (understandable) and shows no sympathy to others. So, it makes it hard for me to connect with her. I still think she's a good character and very interesting. And she brought cool moments to the game (like letting Chris die was kind of shocking/funny and cool because it's a great butterfly effect). Forgot to mention how her honesty goes down if she shows remorse for the prank which is icky to me 😬

before i start i wanna say this is NOT a zellis or nickro hate post!!! i think both ships are cute but in my l4d world it's hard to pair them for a couple reasons

when it comes to nick being with ro, or any woman that is, it's hard to see it because he's a misogynistic asshole. he does get better throughout the game and id imagine as time went on in the apocalypse, whether they were officially rescued or got stranded again, the shitty parts of his personality would get better

BUT

it is also his personality. we don't know why he is the dirtbag he is.. could be literally anything. shitty parents/raised badly, trauma, hanging with the wrong crowd, etc

now don't get me wrong, nick isn't solely a douchebag. he obviously has positive, redeeming qualities about himself and he truly does care about the other three survivors. as we all know, humans are not one dimensional, so it's entirely possible for him to do a 180

but when you're in your mid 30s, probably been living rough one way or another your whole life, it would be really fucking hard to break out of those negative attributes

rochelle is too good for that. she does not deserve any kind of mistreatment. i will not argue

THIS ALSO GOES FOR NELLIS TOO THOUGH! any pairing with nick would be toxic one way or another honestly

i just feel like.. it would be different with ellis because he is such a ball of sunshine. you throw anything at him, and it bounces right off. he's so oblivious and in his own world, so sweet and caring-- a genuinely good person. i feel like he would be able to balance nick out and chill out his jerk attitude a bit

ellis is not really confrontational and overall does not have a mean bone in his body. hell, in game when nick said he hated him, he responded with "well, i still like you, nick." and because of this, i feel like he would truly be the first person in nick's entire 35 years of life that showed him genuine love, respect, patience, understanding, etc, which in turn would tug on nick's shriveled heartstrings

this doesn't mean that rochelle isn't sweet and wouldn't have the power to change nick for the better. but even tho she is also a genuinely good person, she doesn't take shit from anyone, especially not nick. many times in the game she steps up to him and puts him in his place. i feel like she could love him platonically/in a family type way, but romantically i don't think she could do it. i think it would just exhaust her and quite frankly piss her the fuck off

now when it comes to zoey and ellis, it would work... for a bit. ellis would most definitely treat zoey like a queen and they would have a healthy, loving relationship. however, zoey's personality is kind of going towards the opposite spectrum of ellis'*. she's a little on the brooding side, slightly awkward, and a little quicker than most to get ticked off. of course she has a sense of humor, is sweet, and does care about others. her and i are actually very much alike, and truthfully i don't think i could date a guy like ellis. even though he's damn near perfect for a man, he has a lot of chaotic energy. when you're someone with a lower energy-type personality*, it gets tiring after a while being around high energy people

zoey would more than likely be a homebody, wanting to watch tv and movies, play video games, etc, whereas ellis is your typical country boy-- fishing, hunting, working on cars, riding horses, drinking, doing dangerous and dumb shit with his boys, etc. i feel like after a while zoey would realize she just can't keep up with him, maybe even after a while he would start to even get on her nerves. i also feel like after a while he would think she was boring.. but in reality, they just don't really have much in common when it comes to their lifestyles

*i know you could kinda consider nick being closer to a lower-energy type personality because when he's not being an ass, he is rather quiet and to himself. BUT theres no such thing as a lazy introverted conman lol
