started playing fallout 76 yesterday and when I hit level 5 I walked out of a bar and there was a real life level 60 guy outside not talking just watching me and I hadn't figured out how to turn my mic off on my ps5 controller yet so i was having live reactions into it and then he started TALKING to me and following me around while I did quests protecting me and gesturing to special loot. had to log off after we played on an obstacle course he led me to for a while.

I added him as a friend and saw him online today and I'm badass and level 8 now so I teleported to his world and he was fighting this massive like. sheep beast? and I came in shooting with my trusty level 1 10mm and he went on mic and said "oh my god I saw it was a level 8 and was like huh? and then I saw it was you!!" and then we started hanging out in this insane cranberry bog place and I kept falling into holes complaining about how stupid they were and he goes "do you want to see a more stupid hole" and then leads me to a hole filled with radiated goo and says don't jump in you'll die

so we fight some super mutants and I take out a legendary with my trusty level 1 10mm, he shows me his camp which has two levels and a piano on the second one and I played his piano and he goes do you want to see my power armor I just completed my first set this'll be my first time wearing it and I go obviously and he gets into the animation and I started bowing down and shooting celebratory shots with my trusty level 1 10mm.

and then he takes me to this warehouse to show me something cool and a glowing creature flew out from the ceiling and he goes 'should I just punch it to death with my bare hands' and I tell him absolutely so he's in power armor punching this thing and I'm cheering from a tall ledge where it cant get me and then I jump in and start beating it up too

and after that we went back to his camp and I wandered for a bit & found a full set of pool balls so I picked them up and when I went back to his camp he said he had something to show me right while I said I had a gift for him and he pulls out a super sledge that's on fire and I tell him its badass and then he goes what's your gift and I go up to the second floor of his camp and drop all of the pool balls in a bag and he laughs out loud in the mic and says "I need to make sure these go in a special stash"

I had to go for the night but this dude is like a brother to me and all I know is his playstation name

hey there!! your knits are so much fun and i absolutely love looking at them. can you talk about how you design your patterns? it’s something i’ve thought about doing for a while now but it seems soooo intimidating especially since math is not my strong suit :’)) i’d love to hear about your process and maybe any advice you have for starting out!!

hi hi hello!! and hooray for foraying into the world of pattern design🫶from the patterns i've managed to cobble together, I can say that it's only as math-y as you make it - I think the part that ends up making me cross eyed and at my wits end mathematically is scaling a pattern up and down from the size you've knit it (but at that point, you do have a finished object, hooray! it's just about fine tuning measurements and thinking about gauge😭)

anyways! putting this under a cut because I'm sure this'll get wordy...

the first thing about making a pattern is make sure it's something you like, obviously. whether that's color, pattern, but most particularly style - going into it excited makes it suck less during the whole process. for me personally, as much as I like making circular yoke sweaters, I much prefer the looser chest/underarm area of a raglan sweater so almost all the things I knit are raglan. I also liked the idea of colorwork on the bottom of a sweater even though that's not very traditional because you don't have to worry about increases in the pattern design like you would with a circular yoke (which I still don't know how to design that...so I simply do not, lol)

I have a running list of ideas in my notes app because like all artistic endeavors, wanting to make something but not having inspiration is a terrible feeling. with that, I love looking at lino print art in particular or coloring book pages or line art because that two-color style is easy for me to visualize as something approachably knittable. so, for example, in my tiger sweater, I used the upper left tiger as a reference to chart the colorwork:

which is where my most beloved tool comes in: stitch fiddle dot com :) there's a free version which allows you to do a fair bit and a paid version that gives more convenient features if you find that you like what stitch fiddle has to offer (also the subscription fee is very inexpensive and they are super upfront about things? like. they emailed five days before my subscription ended and said no worries! if you don't want to renew simply do nothing :) and then they don't auto charge and auto renew, which seems so wild with how most subscriptions work. anyways!)

with the patterns I write I mostly use stitch fiddle for color work charts but they do have built in symbols for lace work and cables and brioche stitching amongst a lot of other things. they also make exporting charts very easy to put in a file with the written pattern.

one thing that helps when coming up with a pattern is being familiar with the construction of that thing - I knit so many socks and sweaters from other people's patterns that after a while I'd be like, oh look at that! cast on 64 stitches! who would've thought! it's not like I haven't done that a dozen times before :) so my first few projects were kind of like an average of the usual measurements and stitch counts from various projects and then adding in my own modifications that I do to patterns (longer sleeves, shorter torso, etc).

then this is where a bit of math can creep in...first I made and blocked a gauge swatch so that I could confidently say that the yarn/needle combo has, like, 9 sts by 11 sts for a total 36 sts across and 44 sts down for a 4 by 4 inch square swatch. then I took a sweater I liked the size of and made a lot of measurements (across the chest, shoulder to the bottom, armhole depth, across the neckhole, length of sleeves, etc) and then using the gauge, figured out some stitch counts I needed: like if I want the body of the sweater to be 20 inches across the chest, I'll need 20 inches times 9 sts times 2 (to account for the back) which gives 360 stitches for the body of the sweater. so using these calculations along with an average of all the patterns I knit before gave me a decent idea of where stitch counts need to be.

then, with some approximate stitch counts and general construction ideas you can start with something like, for example: casting on 144 sts for the neck and needing to reach a yoke depth of 8 inches to separate the body and sleeves and the sleeves need about 80 stitches each including sts picked up from the underarm and the body needs 360 sts will help to figure out increases to get stitch counts where you need them. using other published patterns as a loose guideline for pattern structures to make sure you're going in the right direction and not totally reinventing the wheel helps things from getting too overwhelming.

(again, the worst math does come in with scaling for different sizes. this is where lots of knitters who knit small sizes stumble as reddit slash craft snark is quick to point out - knitting a larger size doesn't really mean just applying a scalar to the stitch counts you have. just multiplying stitch counts will give comically long and wide results - looking at what other patterns give for size measurements as well as scouring online for what size dimensions different garments are for s/m/l/xl/xxl/xxxl etc and using the gauge swatch to say, oh! the chest circumference for an xl is 50 inches so with 9 sts/in that'll mean I need 450 sts for the body of the sweater etc)

also don't be afraid to start with small design projects to build confidence! the first thing I made was a cat sweater😹and then lots of socks🧦🧦🧦

as for other resources, I haven't actually utilized this book yet but I know it's been helpful for lots of other knitters: https://tincanknits.com/collection/strange-brew which is a fairly structured guide to establish some colorwork pattern design basics. some print books that I've utilized includes The Knit Stitch Pattern Handbook, the Japanese Knitting Stitch Bible, and Alterknit Stitch Dictionary for fun stitch patterns and variations and cabling stuff. these books mostly come in handy because searching for stitch designs online is strangely a hassle and all of these were at Half Price Books at some point or another and buying a knitting book made me feel like A Knitter™️ lololol.

there are advanced things like tech editors and pattern testers but I have yet to dip my toes in those waters so here's my two cents in that you'll be just fine if you don't want to either. i'm definitely kinda winging it here with designing things but you gotta start somewhere! everything can always be frogged and there are always lessons tucked away behind every mistake.

note: there will be no smut here, I dont feel like writing one for my first tbh X). Camille exists here as your friend and you're Duncan's bf/gf. Same AU as the show, setting is right after the tragedy. PLUS. I am a beginner, Obviously I'm not so poetic for a writer. I think this'll be a short comforting ones instead of the heavy romantic soo.. Enjoy!

this story took place in the 2010's

After all the things Duncan went through, he managed to get a partner.. Never thought the Black Kaiser would get a romantic partner would he(?). Well to replace the word 'get' more like he 'found' one. Camille knows you too, matter fact you both blended quite well. Went grocery shopping together, maybe even watch or take pictures of animals while Duncan watches from afar.

The activity today was done, you head back to his car and put all the groceries in the backseat. Seeing Duncan pay for his groceries made you wonder, where did he get all those money?.. Scratch that, your mind went through a way different path. goddamn he's so fine. you thought to yourself.

When he turn back to the entry door, you snapped back to reality. Distracting your gaze to the car control, stabbing the aux cable to your music player. Playing your favorite artist, it was laggy at the start and finally the speakers played lady gaga.

"I know that we are young, and I know that you may love me. But I just can't be with you like this anymore-"

The intro part of Alejandro, by lady gaga in her album The fame monster.

"You're dramatic." He muttered as he entered the drivers side. His eye patch slipping up a little bit give you the urge, to tug it down and fix the position.

From your eye he already knew what you're up to. He fix it and shrugs. What a wonderful man.

You look at the time. 18:19. Not bad.. You look at the sky and its a Shade of peachy orange and pink. or some stupid buffoon will say golden hour, which isn't precisely golden hour right now.

Your stomach rumbled from hunger, before he spoke the usual, 'You're hungry.' You decide to outrun his mouth before he interrupts.

"I'm hungry." - "You're hungry."

You both spoke at the same time. The old man ket out a low chuckle, you can hear it that came from his chest. compared to yours, to the soft spoken words and giggles.

He lower down the speeds down and asks, "Want sone donuts?"

"No, I'll get fat." You replied, he parked anyway and looked at you.

"No you don't." His face the usual, and he cocks his eyebrows.

He watch you pinch your belly, the soft plump you got on your lower stomach. He sighs showing his slight frustration from the comparison. He pinched his belly too and he is much bigger than yours.

"Look. One or two donuts wont get you fat. plus those are enough to fill your stomach since you dont eat like a builder's portion." He added and tilt his head.

You didn't give a single reaction and just look at him. "Alright."

He pulls out from the parking space and you immediately stop him. "No!- no- no- no no no-. I want some donuts." You cuts and he stops, he only move the car a few inch but enough to tell like we're about to leave.

"there you go." He said and you unbuckle your safety belt. So as he, You went down and looks at all the sugar. The toppings, glaze, and the warm looking donuts that made your mouth water.

As you both entered the store, the warm air conditioner embraced you both, rising your body to a comfort temperature. Its still snowing here, Thick, layers are still on the surface. We're surrounded by broad mountains, of course there will be snow.

You look at the display case, where they warm the freshly fried donuts and toppings. Duncan already chose which he wants to buy, plain and caramel, and a coffee. While you were gazing out to the toppings.

Your worry lingers as you kept staring at the glaze. Theres another side of you thats scared of sweets, cause it may ruin how you look. And theres another one that makes you happy. Its a great dilemma to you.

"A few wont hurt. Come on. Pick." He spoke, his voice soothes you. Bringing comfort and reassurance.

"right.. one with vanilla glazing and the other with the jelly filling.." The woman packs four donuts for you and while your pulling out your wallet for a card, Duncan. Beats you again. He's too fast and he always pay stuff for you.

"Dont worry. just get the donut." He spoke, a slight dissapointment crossed you face. Oh you wanna pay soo bad he didn't let you. How cute.

You proceed to grab the box you grab one in the process. Biting one while both of you walk to a nearby table.

till the time you both sit down and relax. You can see the sun sink behind the Mountain, really slowly. You look at Duncan and he bop his head up. Your eyes darts up to the sign.

"Dunkin Donuts.." You muttered.

He wondered what were you thinking about.

"Dont you think it rhymes? Dunkin and Duncan." He chuckles and shake his head.

"I dont know." He said then repeats it.

You both sit there as the snow falls down. A snowflake fell on your donut. Now your donut looks like a snow. You kept it to yourself and eats them anyway. Probably heading home as soon as it gets dark. You take a sip at the coffe, the warmness spreading through your chest remind you of how Duncan hugs you.

I don't know if this is still up but anyways "Trick or Treat"

I absolutely adore Che'nya and I think he deserves some more love so what about a romantic Che'nya (if you want obviously [wouldn't wanna be a bother])

you're no bother at all, they are still open don't worry! i've never written for him before this'll be fun!

if there was one thing che'nya loved to do, it was to scare people. and so it was no surpise to you when you learned that his favorite time of year, was halloween. ─ when halloween came around, he loved to appear out of no where to give someone a good scare, with the added bonus of whatever halloween prop he had with them.

and you, being his partner, was his favorite target.

you can't say you weren't used to his antics, but regardless of how often he spooked you or how used to them you became, there were times he managed to scare you, much like the start of your relationship, when every little thing he did caused you to jump.

"che'nya, i have work to do for the halloween festival coming up, so i don't know if i'll make it to lunch." you announced as you exit the bathroom, towel in your hands and eyes scanning the room. when your boyfriend wasn't spotted sitting on your bed like he often was when waiting for you to wish you a goodnight, you paused. ─ oh, great.

you stepped further out of the bathroom to look around. and while you were on guard and expecting him to appear from thin air as he often did, what you weren't expecting, was a mask to appear right in front of your face instead of him. you yelped, jumping back and away from the halloween mask floating in the air.

it was only when you heard his familiar chuckles did you realize he had spooked you again. you groaned, reaching up to grab the mask, "che'nya!" but he was already gone again, leaving you with a mask and a towel in your hand.

you spoke into the air, knowing very well he was probably still right beside you, "i told you to stop that."

a weight on your shoulder, and che'nya was able to be seen again, snickering and grinning from ear to ear as you turned your heard to see him from the corner of your eye. "but you're so cute when you're scared."

you sighed, yet you weren't as annoyed as you made yourself appear to be, "you're such a pain."

"but you love me." he nuzzled his nose against your cheek and dragged out the word, to which you only rolled your eyes.

you pushed his head off your shoulder and forced hin to take the mask with a shove, he was still grinning, proud of himself and likely already planning his next scare.

"i'm kicking you out of my room for a week."

'til it kills us: the bogeyman

to celebrate the release of v0.3 of my game 'til it kills us, and mark the official beginning of the playtesting phase, i wanted to talk a little more about my process for making this game! we're starting with the playbooks, since they were my favourite part of development and show what makes 'til it kills us so special in my eyes.

i'm going to go over each part of the playbook, talking about the choices i made and the inspirations behind them. this'll include how they tie into other playbooks, and the other mechanics in the game. and, as you can imagine, it's quite long, so i'll be putting all this under the cut so you don't have to scroll past a massive post!

up first is the first playbook -- shadow mages who feed on self-hatred and internalised homophobia to hide themselves from the world:

the name

the first thing you notice with every playlist is its name, which is part of why i had so much fun choosing them! this one originated from me just going to wikipedia and looking at "creatures associated with shadow", but i fell in love with bogeyman as the name. not only are they shadow monsters, but bogeyman also refers to a threat that is both terrifying and often made up! it fits perfectly for a class of character who views themselves as more dangerous than they are.

the abilities

'til it kills us has "abilities" in place of something like d&d's core stats, with each playbook having some it shares with other playbooks and some that are completely unique. the bogeyman has shadow magic, obviously, but most of its other attributes also deal with concealment, secrecy or deception in some way. whispers and stealth for not being scene, deception for lying, and charm and arts to present a trustworthy front. fear is different, in that it represents the bogeyman becoming the monster that they perceive themselves to be, scaring others.

they also have two secondary magic types to choose from -- flora, the magic of self-doubt and distrust, or sound for loneliness. self-doubt and self-hatred go hand-in-hand (how can you trust someone you don't even like?) while loneliness here is meant to represent a few things. perhaps this character literally isolates themselves from the world, or perhaps they feel disconnected from others because of all the secrets they keep. and speaking of secrets...

the power

for the bogeyman, this is called secret-keeper, and allows them to hide in spaces of darkness. not only spooky, but another reference to how this playbook literally and metaphorically hides from the world! there's no other secret meanings to this power to be honest.

the presentations

these are all unique, and represent different ways the bogeyman uses their public persona as a front. as the game itself says, it's all about distraction. some might wear the flashy, wealthy glitz & glamour presentation, while others might attempt to fix their physical flaws through becoming total health nuts. others pretend to be a complete nobody, or completely picture perfect, to avoid close examination.

i wanted to show a few different false personalities that i have found to be more common in fiction or in real life, and (with the health nut) suggest the way this playbook might manifest as specific mental health issues or generally unhealthy behaviours. one presentation that'll definitely be added if i ever expand playbooks is one about toxic positivity, since that feels an easy fit for this playbook!

the motivations

pulled from a common list of motivations shared between all the playbooks, a bogeyman character can have a few different goals to be working towards. i won't spoil these specifically, but they're all about external validation, or centering other people's goals over their own. i wanted to make it clear just how much the bogeyman thinks they deserve, by making even their goals not really about them. this playbook mostly shares goals with others that lack motivation or self-respect, like the self-doubting creeping vines and apathetic greys.

the base feature

as a little optional flavour detail, this doesn't have too much lore behind it! the bogeyman loves to hide and is inherently distrusting, so i gave them somewhere in their home base to hide from the world.

the touchstone

external validation back again! but also, for someone who views themselves as unworthy of love, happiness or success, it felt like the obvious choice of anchor was someone who loved them unconditionally. i imagine a bogeyman's story could very easily centre on realising that their touchstone was right to trust in them all along.

the end

... and that, i think, is everything! the bogeyman also has character progression mechanics, same as every playbook, but those would require a lot of explanation. they're probably best saved for their own post, or for you to read the game yourself! you can check it out with the link included at the top of this post, and feel free to ask me any questions you have about the game or this playbook. i've loved getting to share in more depth the thought process behind making this playbook, and i can't wait to talk about the creeping vine next week -- it's one of the only playbooks i'm considering a rebrand for!

Now I'm starting to see actual teaser trailers for it (and it comes out in like a week), I've started to look at all the trailers for the Until Dawn remaster. And general ramble for a long ass time about my thoughts.

Spoilers below the cut for the game because well, it's a remaster and I'm comparing to the original.

It looks like there is at least one new scene with Beth (Features Trailer shows her outside putting trash out and interacting with a deer), maybe this'll be a new introduction to the Don't Move minigame? But it's definitely new.

Characters now jog rather than walk slightly faster when holding the go faster button (comparsion trailer), this is good though I will miss the unintended comedy of the characters only slightly hustling towards their screaming friends.

Josh and Chris have moved in the Prologue (Comparsion Trailer), as they're no longer passed out by the bar. I think they might be on the sofas in the background now - though I that's just a guess from how that's area is lit up now rather than being dark and I believe inaccessible in the original. Maybe Chris is awake and in on the prank on Hannah now as in the original script of the game? Or maybe the ktichen scene being compared is earlier and linked with the new Beth deer scene?

Again, another new scene with Beth (Comparsion Trailer) with her at a shack being pressumably torched by Flamethrower Man. I don't remember anything like this in the original Prologue, and the shack itself isn't something I recognise either. So possibly the chase after Hannah in the Prologue will have more options.

Gameplay trailer confirms that drunk Josh is on the sofas in the background, carried there by Hannah and Beth (that's what I get for watching these backwards). Given that Beth is wearing her coat and Hannah is wearing a jumper rather than her blouse I'd say this is after the new deer scene before the original's game prologue begins. No sign of Chris though, so maybe he has been put into the prank scene. Obviously they might just move him second but there doesn't seem to be room for another person in the area.

Edit: I've been told in the comment that Chris can be seen on a second sofa in a different trailer so he's definitely still passed out drunk.

I can't tell what this is in the gameplay trailer. It's intercut with Mike shooting a sanatorium door open and I think it's still Mike but I can't tell who the guy is. Maybe a screwcrow jumpstare set up by Josh in the abandoned hotel? Or possibly a model replacement since they do seem to be trying to keep the twist secret in all these trailers.

An article on the Play Station blog confirms that all the totem locations have moved and that there is a new set called "Hunger". And also that there will be an option for either the original "Don't Move" challenge or a "Stay Calm" challenge (pressumably as people playing on PC might not have a controller with a gyro like a play station controller).

The new totems interest me, as well as the placement changes because, and I'm just saying this as someone who is hyperfixated over the Supermassive games, the future predicting collectables are never very good. Like of the thirty totems in the original Until Dawn, I would argue that only six of them really give aid (these are Guidance 2, 3, 4, & 6 and Fortune 2, & 4). While most show only the outcome rather than what leads to it and frankly Guidance 5 can hinder because giving the flare gun to Matt only helps if it doesn't fire. I know it's so you can avoid his possible death, but he fires it if he agreed with Emily about the fire tower, meaning the people most likely to help Emily and need the gun as him later won't have it in the first place.

The trend of the future predicting images showing the result rather than the cause kinda continues throughout all Supermassive games so I'm not sure how excited I am for a new branch though it does at least feel promising that new scenes will be added.

I am curious to see where all the totems are moved to, since pressumably the Death totems will still need to be collected by the same characters.

I doubt it, but I have half a hope that they have replaced some of the death/loss totems with different ones. At the very least I'd like one of the three different lodge fire totems replaced, especially as two of them are Mike's.

I am still hopefully for new scenes that we haven't seen yet. Most of the footage is such related to the first half of the game or just anything that hides the supernatural element of the story and, given how I'm sure it's easier to add scenes to the end rather than the beginning, I wouldn't be suprised in a majority of the new scenes are towards the latter half of the game.

The article that I got the info about above said that they have intentionally restructed the Prologue to both explore the Washingtons as a family and to add context to the prank. I think this is honestly so good because, well, Beth was always barely a character and I never really liked Hannah - I felt bad for her don't get me wrong, but the prank hinged on her wanting to sleep with someone else's boyfriend. It always made me see her as kind of a crappy friend and while she didn't deserve to die, I didn't feel as bad as I was probably meant to for her. Adding additional content to make her and Beth like people I am definitely looking forward to.

IN THIS EPISODE | Comfort, no romance, introduction. A/N: This is just an introduction to immerse the reader and prepare them before meeting Luke. And to clear up the timeline of this fanfic... The reader is a 23 year old woman who has experienced everything Clementine had originally gone through in season 1, except, instead of being 9 years old, she was 16 when she inevitably loses Lee. It has been 7 years since that day, and now everything picks up the same as it does in the beginning of season 2, only she is now 23 years old. You have been surviving with Christa for 7 years, and haven't found a place to call home yet, but are planning to head to "Wellington". This story will thoroughly follow the original script, but with lots of new added scenes!

The pacing of my writing may be a bit fast at times, but be assured, this will be a slow burn.

Y/N: Christa, talk to me.

Christa sighs, stands up, and tends to the fire.

Christa: This'll never work. Look at this, it's pathetic. The wood's too wet to burn. There's more smoke than flame. At this rate, we'll be eating this for breakfast.

Y/N: What else can we do?

Christa: Find something that'll burn, maybe. I dunno. Won't be easy in the dark and in the rain.

Y/N: I might have something in my bag.

There is a period of silence, and before I get up to go look for something to burn, I feel the need to say,

Y/N: We need to find a group. People we can trust. We've been on our own for too long.

Christa: Trust? You think you can trust someone out here? Not now. Not anymore.

I wrap my arms around myself.

Y/N: I'm freezing.

Christa: I know. Me too. But if you think this is bad, wait 'til we get up to Wellington, then talk to me about cold. If we make it. We still have a couple hard months ahead of us. This rain will turn to sleet, then ice, then snow. It won't be easy.

Y/N: You think we'll even make it that far?

Christa: Maybe. I don't know.

...

Christa: We just need to keep moving north.

I stand up.

Christa: We sure as hell can't stay here.

Y/N: I miss Lee.

Christa: I'm sure you do.

...

Christa: Sigh I'm gonna go look for more wood. You just keep the fire lit.

Christa leaves and I grab my backpack. I need to find something that would burn. I have a photo of Lee, a drawing of Kenny and his family that Duck drew... a piece of paper, and my lighter. I take my bag and kneel at the fire. I burn the paper and throw it into the flames, making it burn brighter.

Y/N: Better. But still not enough. The flames are too low.

I look through my bag again. Do I dare burn any of these?... No. What am I thinking? I get up and find a damp log...

Y/N: A little wet, but it's good enough to burn...

Right after I place the log into the fire, I hear people talking.. I follow the noise through the woods.

Stranger1: Jesus, are you fuckin' kidding me?!

Stranger1/Stranger2/Stranger3: Out here alone? In the middle of nowhere? But we haven't met anyone yet. How many people are you with?

Stranger1/Stranger2/Stranger3: Hate to see someone get hurt.

Stranger1/Stranger2/Stranger3: Now, hold on, she's setting you up.

Christa: I'm by myself.

Stranger1/Stranger2/Stranger3: You're obviously with someone. Where's your group?

I see Christa... and she's surrounded by a hostile group.

Stranger1: Don't fucking lie to us!

Stranger3: Who do you think you're foolin'?

Stranger1: Give us the truth and you don't get hurt.

Stranger3: You fuckin' with me? shoves Christa Where's the rest of your group?!

Christa: I'm by myself!

Stranger2: Bullshit!

Stranger1: She's lyin'.

Stranger3: points gun at Christa Cut the shit, lady.

Christa: It's... it's just me.

Stranger2: Come on, guys! points gun at Christa She's not saying!

Stranger3: You expect us to believe you're out here all alone?!

I'm panicked... I have no weapons, and no idea what to do! I need to distract them or something. So I pick up a rock and throw it at this guy's (Stranger1's) face.

Stranger1: What the fuck?!

Y/N: Christa, run! 

Stranger1: Hey!

I see Christa run away, but hear a gunshot. I'm sure she's okay... I run in the opposite direction.

Stranger1: Get the fuck over here! Now!

I hide behind a tree.

Stranger1: Motherfucker! Come out here, girl. I'm not fucking around. Look, girl, ain't no way you're smart enough to get outta this. Just come out.

I run, and the man chases me. He's large. Much larger than me... He's wearing a big hiking bag, and has a scary face... There's something real disturbing about him- besides the fact that he's attacking me...

Stranger1: Shit! Get the fuck over here!

I crawl under a fallen tree and continue running.

Stranger1: Goddamn it!

As I'm running, I'm dodging walkers. Hoping one of them gets a hold of this man...

Stranger1: Fuck!

He kicks the walker's knee and stomps on its head. I then break a branch off of a tree.

I step aside as the man charges forward at me, then I stab him in the shoulder with the branch.

Stranger1: Jesus, are you fuckin' kidding me?!

I continue running, but then stop. I'm suddenly at the edge of a riverbank. I can't go anywhere else, and the man grabs me.

Y/N: Leave me alone!

Stranger1: Then stop fucking running! Quit squirming!

I bite his hand.

Stranger1: Ah! Fuck! Ah! Ow, let go, you little bitch, Jesus Christ!

He releases me after I bite him. I quickly scan my surroundings and see a big hollow log. I crawl into it in attempt to get away.

Stranger1: Come out of there!

He grabs my leg. I try my best to kick him over and over. He drags me backward and I grab onto a nearby tree.

Stranger1: Jesus, are you fuckin' kidding me?! Come on, girl.

No matter how hard I tried to hold on, he ends up pulling me away from the tree. He grabs onto my wrists and I try to kick him away again.

Y/N: What do you want from me!??

Stranger1: You are on my last fucking nerve! Stop fucking kicking!

The thought of what he could possibly want from me... I gather my strength and kick as hard as I can. My kick forces him backward. Then a walker grabs him.

Stranger1: No, shit!

Just when I think I'm in the clear, another walker grabs my arm. I do my best to pull away. I'm just inches from a bite...

I break free, ripping off the walker's arm. I step aside as a walker approaches, and it attacks the man, ripping out his throat. I run through the woods, dodging more walkers.

But then, I trip and fall. There's dozens of walkers coming towards me. I am left helpless. I have nothing to defend myself. I'm crawling away backwards, then pick up a nearby rock. I throw it at one of the walkers in attempt to fight them off. It's no use. I keep moving backwards, then fall off of the cliff into the river below.

The water is freezing, and the current is pulling me away swiftly. It all happens so fast... The cold water takes my breath away, and I couldn't swim out of this even if the current wasn't so strong. That's when everything goes black...

I'm not sure how... but I survive... my mind is groggy as I wake up ashore. My clothes are soaking wet and I have no clue where I am.

Y/N: Hello?

There is a canoe in the distance. It says "JR. TANUKI'S KIDS CAMP" and is split in two, the other half stuck on some rocks in the river. How sad...

I find a staircase. What's left of it at least... It's just a wooden platform now. I jump and try to grab the top ledge of the broken stairs. It takes me a few tries, but I eventually pull myself up.

Y/N: Christa, are you there?

I look around and see a grave. I look sadly at the grave made of sticks.

Y/N: Sigh

I walk along the trail ahead.

I see a sign that says: YOU MAY ENCOUNTER: BLACK BEARS COYOTES MOUNTAIN LIONS POISONOUS SNAKES OR OTHER SPECIES BE AWARE OF YOUR SURROUNDINGS

I shake my head. I don't see many animals anymore. I'd be kinda happy to come across one of these... I guess?

I climb over a fallen tree in my path and continue walking. Eventually I hear the bushes rustle, discovering... a dog! What crazy timing... He growls at me...

Y/N: It's okay, boy, it's okay...

I carefully check the tag on his collar.

Y/N: "Sam". Well, nice to meet you, Sam.

Sam walks a short distance away and sniffs the ground.

Y/N: What are you doing?

Sam barks and runs off.

Y/N: Sam. Sam!

I wonder to myself, if I should follow him.

Y/N: Where are you going? Wait up!

Of course I will! I've found a dog! I chase after him. He brings me to an abandoned campsite.

Y/N: Hello?! This place looks pretty run over, but you never know. Let's look around for some food.

I let Sam sniff my hand, and then I pet him.

Y/N: There you go... I'm not gonna hurt you...

I look around for something to eat.

Y/N: Find anything yet?

Of course the dog won't answer. But I talk to him to keep my spirits up... Then, I spot a frisbee on the ground!

Y/N: Hey! Wanna play? Wanna play catch?

Sam barks at me and wags his tail, so I throw the disc and he catches it!

Y/N: Okay, bring it back!

He drops the disc in front of my feet.

Y/N: Good boy Sam!

We keep playing until my stomach growls again, and I remember, I should probably be looking for food instead, so I end the game of catch and Sam walks away.

I find a big metal barrel full of trash. I need to know if there's anything good in there...

Y/N: Well... here we go.

I roll up my sleeves and digs in the trash, finding a full can of beans.

Y/N: Oh my God. Thank you! Look, Sam, a can!

Now I just needed to find something to open it with... I approach one side of the camp, and Sam barks.

Y/N: What's the matter, Sam?

Sam continues barking.

Y/N: Shh! We have to be quiet.

I approach Sam and try to talk to him. I eventually see that he's barking at a walker tied to a tree.

Y/N: It's okay. He's dead. Look, you can see the bite. Looks like he tried to cut it out.

I pause and think of Lee...

Y/N: But that never works...

Sam whines at the walker.

Y/N: It's okay. We're smart and he's not. We're smarter than all of them.

I look at the knife buried in the walker's shoulder and try to pull it out, but the walker almost grabs me. I pick up a nearby branch and prepare to smash in its skull.

Y/N: Stand back, okay?

I sling the giant branch over my shoulder, then repeatedly smash the walker's head with the branch until it dies.

Y/N: See? We just have to stay out of their reach.

I search the walkers pocket.

Y/N: I like to think that...if they were alive, they'd probably want to help you.

I find nothing in its pocket.

Y/N: Sigh Nothing.

I grab the knife and wipe off the blood.

Y/N: Still pretty sharp.

I look at Sam and smile.

Y/N: Okay, well, now we're getting somewhere.

I walk away from the walker and sit on a log, holding the knife and can of beans.

Y/N: Please don't be bad.

I cut the can open. It looks good enough to me.

Y/N: Thank God...

I eat the food with my hands. Sam sits down and whines.

Y/N: I guess you're pretty hungry too.

I couldn't just let Sam go hungry! I hold out some of the food.

Y/N: Here ya go.

Sam lunges at my hand and I drop the can. He tries to eat all of the beans.

Y/N: Hey! Don't eat it all.

I pick up the can. But then... Sam jumps up and bites my arm, dragging me to the ground. I scream in fear, and more so, pain!

I repeatedly punch Sam in the face, as much as I don't ever want to hurt an animal...

Sam takes a few steps back, and lunges at me again, but I kick him backwards, and he disappears behind a log... I grab my knife... I'm almost frozen in shock... As I'm shaking, I slowly walk over to him, where I discover... he is impaled with several metal spikes.

He whines and flails, trying to get free. The sight makes me sick to my stomach... How did I end up like this so fast? Why did he have to do it!? My eyes swell with tears as I think to myself... He is just a dog, he is just doing what comes naturally... But I wish it could have been different.

I snap out of my thoughts and quickly realize, Sam is suffering. I need to end it for him...

Y/N: I'm... I'm sorry, Sam.

I stab Sam in the throat, killing him. I roll down my sleeves to cover the bite and leave the camp.

I continue walking through the woods. All that is going through my mind is the burdening disgust at the nature of this world. I find a dog... then have to kill it because it attacked me? Why? Why couldn't we have just been friends?

It reminds me of everything else in this world now. I don't think I could trust anyone ever again after Christa... Her words run through my mind over and over, "Trust? You think you can trust someone out here? Not now. Not anymore..."

I whimper in pain and exhaustion and sit down, leaning against a rock. I can't go anymore... my vision becomes blurry. Walkers start to approach... I have to get up. I have to at least try to escape.

There are walkers everywhere.. and one walker knocks me over. I try to push it away; but then suddenly, it is decapitated by with a machete. Someone else fires a crossbow at the other walkers...

Stranger: I'm out! Grab her, let's go!

This will be the most commonly used time period. For simplicity sake, it's the time period in which the Abyssos flashback takes place. Erichthonios has existed for a few years, Hephaistos is now Lahabrea and barely sees her, and she oversees her great facility... with nothing shady going on on the side at all!

☆ Anabaseios // Limbo 🌌

This would be a more theoretical time period. Simply set with my interpretation of her behavior at the finale of the raid series or a state of existence where the raid series has happened and somehow shes still able to interact with Erich, Lahabrea, Themis, etc. In other words this is the 'don't really try and make sense of this one' time period.

Athena is a bad person believe it or not! But, I (, Athena,) am don't think I personally am! The Michie Playlist

Happy Valenties Yall. You may have seen my post about making a Michie Playlist. This is my review of songs already on it, originating from @wildrottingworms michie playlist. Barring Granger Danger (because they told me to) and adding another song, because it fits with another.

Nerdy Prudes Must Die: This is, for me, just on there for the sake that it is literally the song they share. That is the only reason it's on here. Also why it's the first song on here.

Take Me Back: This, however, I have no idea why it's on here! Nevermind, secret relationship michie; I'm an idiot. Okay, yeah, I think I can see it. Especially with them having regrets about keeping it a secret. Like, I'm listening to Tom's verse right now and it's like "oh, Max,, maybe you should've just openly loved Richie back thennn." Becky's verse now, okay. I see it a little less. I like the idea of 'i remember something someone asked me back in school,' being Max saying something like "if we could, would you go to prom with me," because of the following line; I think that's cute. Weirdly enough, I think this'll stay.

Blast From the Past: So, uh. I skipped this at first. Because I did not like it. This is the last song of these I've listened to because I am/was putting it off. But here we go i guess. Okay, it's not that bad. It kind of reminds me of Will Wood. But it also makes me realise that the musical Zombie Prom isn't the same as the Wizards of Waverly Place Episode, it seems to be about a single zombie who goes to prom. Which I guess makes sense. I'm keeping it, but it's like. That's all I got from it mostly.

Stupid With Love: So I technically added it, because the reprise was on it, I think it's a little silly to have on here, because I don't think Cady is much like Richie, but I think I'm keeping it for purely after (s)he meets Aron. Like, I've literally put that quote where Cady is essentially fantasising about him in tags about Richie and Max; feels wrong to not include it.

Stupid With Love Reprise: So, listening to it makes me nervous because I haven't actually watched all o Mean Girls the Musical, but it's fine. We're gonna do it anyway. Oh, wait, there's a BMC animatic of this, I've seen this, I'm stupid. Okay. I see why the og put it on here. It is very cute, I love it. I don't know enough about factorials to know if that's actually what you're supposed to do with them, and if it's not then it's hilarious. If it is, then it's like... well, I guess PJ did a good job tutoring Max.

Be Nice To Me: I like this song generally speaking, I never thought of it for Max and Richie, but I'm kind of into it. Like, I might do song fics with some of the songs from this playlist, and this is definitely a high high contender.

Two Birds: Thanks og, you mother fucker. I'm sad now. Luckily, I've already thought of them during this song so I can just skip it.... unluckily, it's already started playing and I can't turn it off now. Thems the rules.

Sex with a Ghost: I don't know why this is on there. It's obviously more of a Jagertity song, but I'm still going to listen to it with their context to see if I can figure it out. Okay, listening. I don't get it. I'll probably keep it because it fucking slaps, but i do not understand why it's on a michie playlist. The only thing I could see is like. 'The only time I ever see her is when she's behind me in the mirror," Because Richie dies in the locker room. But I dunno.

Daft Pretty Boys: I've never heard this song before, so. Right off the bat though, I'm dissapointed that it's not gay. The title makes it sound so gay, but immediately with the she/her pronouns. Maybe I should pull up the Genius Analysis so I can understand better, because I'm just confused. Okay, after checking Genius, I think I understand. I will be keeping it.

Beachboy: Another song I've listened to before, I'm excited to listen to it under Michie context. Like, I could type the lyrics along if I wanted to, I love this song. Yes, this is amazing. Aside from the fact that it's, again, straight, it's absolutely great.

Bloom: We begin the ones where I'm going to have to look up the english translations to these songs. Which I'm fine with, I've listened to all the BSD character songs. It's actually pretty fun to follow along, which is why I'm linking english translations through te name titles, which is why some of the have underlines and others don't. Anyway. HEY SORRY TO BUT IN! Sihouette: Okay, reading the lyrics was a little harder bc I'm listening at home, and my family just got back home from Astronomy Club, so just bare with me. I think it's good, I think we'll be keeping it; I like it I think.

Kuchizuke Diamond: Oh I immediately love the vibes of this. I like this song so much for them that I didn't follow along with the lyrics, I read ahead; I love this. It's so cute for them.

Kawaikute gomen: I'm back and forth whether this applies to them, but it's funny enough that I don't even care. Like Stupid With Love and such. I definitely feel it for them, I just can't explain why.

Art Poll

I'm still planning to do replies, but I've got the hankering to draw something again, specifically the costumes of some of Aaron's other teammates, since I've only done Makoto and Futaba so far.

So, here's the poll. More details will be below

Let's break down what my plan is, and what each option means;

The Plan

Since it's been a little bit since I've done one of these, I'm planning to start by editing a piece of official art to sort of conceptualize the design so I have something to work off of. This'll be much harder for option 4, but I'm sure I'll figure something out.

Then once I've got that done, I'll try to an actual bit of art work for 'em, which will obviously take a lot longer, and probably won't be done until after I get back from my sister's wedding, but I wanna get the process started while I'm in the mood for it.

#1: Ryuji - Electro

This one I don't think needs much explanation. Just gonna be a mix of Skull and Electro, taking some elements from Static from DC and his Third Persona William (probably more so in the actual art as that'll be tough to edit in). Definitely gonna try to fit the classic Electro mask in, and maybe make some other tweaks like turning the spine on his back into a sorta... power meter/magnetic weapon holster for his melee weapon, which I wanna turn into a mix between a spiked bat and a tesla coil but we'll see.

#2: Ann - Black Cat/Firestar

This one has been on the backburner for a while, and something I've been dying to make. Basically, similar to Sumi (and a lot of the cast actually), Ann will have two costumes. The first being a more traditional Black Cat look from before she awoke to her Persona (albeit less revealing, since she chooses to wear this unlike her Phantom Thief attire), while the second, and the one I'd be designing here, mixes that with her Panther outfit as well as elements of the mutant hero Firestar. Picturing a black and vibrant pink look, with the fur accents that are a staple of Black Cat being made to look more like flames. It'll be a bit of a challenge, but it's one I'm excited to do!

#3: Sumi - First Outfit - Spider-Woman

The first thing you might be wondering is "Why does Sumi get two outfits?" The answer to that is, I've been seeing a lot of fan stuff where she gets a new, more original design after coming to terms with her identity, as a way to set herself apart (and also make Violet actually violet) which I really like.

Sumire's powers are closer to Silk, except she is entirely reliant on webbing, and can't even stick to walls without coating her hands in the stuff. Despite that, her first costume, much like her look in game is very clearly inspired by Aaron's. She wants to be more like him, and tries to emulate how he does things, even if her powers don't work the same, and her costume reflects that.

It's a more of a mix of Violet's outfit and Aaron's Phantom Spider look, but with elements of various Spider-Women designs (namely Jessica Drew and 1610's second Black Widow) to make it stand out a bit more

#4: Sumi - Second Outfit - Silk

This one is going to be the hardest to conceptualize, but I definitely want to try because I think this could look really cool.

The basic idea is to do Silk, but with more of a focus on white and vibrant purples, while incorporating elements of her first costume and leaning more into the gymnast side of her with maybe like her sash, adding in slippers like Ghost Spider, stuff like that. She's not Aaron, she's not her sister, she is herself, and this outfit will do its best to stand apart from them, hence the main color being white.

I honestly don't have a solid design in my head for this unlike the other three, but it's one I think would be fun to make regardless.

"Hes got no one Ru we gotta do something," Taln stated looking at his partner with pleading eyes.

"I don't deny that Tal, but how do you expect us to take care o him if we're always on the road? What if we get into trouble? I'd rather not have a kid in the midst o some o the stuff we've dealt with." Ruru responded.

"I…well….I mean obviously I aient intending to take him on the road with us but we can't just leave him alone."

Ruru nodded looking down at the young Elezen who was sleeping between their chocobos. It was evident that even the stubborn birds had taking a liking to the kid.

Taln was right the boy, Almault had no one. His parents were victims in a recent attack on their village and the other villagers didn't have enough left from the attack to aid a young orphan. Which left the boy with no where to go and in the hands of a pair of too caring adventurers.

"Seven hells," Ruru hissed to herself, "I'll see if my sister can look after him. Aside from that I aient gotta clue what else to do."

"Really?" Taln asked his tail swishing in delight

She gave him a grin, "Aye, Im not about to abandon the kid. And my sis inherited the family business so he won't go without. Only thing strange for him is there aient many Duskwights in Ul'dah. But kids are kids and Im sure it won't be hard for him to find some friends."

"And we can of course visit him between adventures." Taln added beaming

Ruru laughed, "O course, one ye won't let me hear the end o it if we don't and I have a feeling that Pumpkin and Cinnamon there wouldn't either given how they've curled about him."

Taln nodded then said, "I'll make him some food for when he wakes then we can tell him what the plan is."

Ruru nodded and smiled as the Miqo'te then rushed to their packs and began gathering his cook pan and supplies. Ruru simply watched him amused realizing that they technically just adopted the boy. She then rummaged through her pack till she found a linkshell she had not thought to need to use at all.

She placed it in her ear and channeled the bit of aether to it hearing the triple chime of it activating. After a second set of chimes a voice came over it, "Well I hardly expected to hear from you Uma. Whats wrong?"

"I need yer help Une." Ruru responded, "Me and my partner U'taln have come across a young boy with no where to go. I can't take him with us cause o the dangers so I was wonderin."

"If he could stay with me. O course Uma ye know full well mom and da would never let me hear the end o it if I refused. Whats the boys name?"

"Almault, and fair warning hes been though a lot. There was a mess here in the Shroud and his folks had got caught in all o it and I'm pretty sure he saw far more than a lad his age should if ye get what I mean,"

"Poor kid, understood ye bring him by Amber Silk Tapestries and I'll get him settled,"

"Thanks Une I appreciate it, and o course we will not only send money to ye to support him but we will be by from time to time." Ruru responded

"So no chance o this new responsibility having ye two settle down is there?" Une asked an almost wistful tone in her voice

"We've been over this Une, I aein't made for business and dealing with customers. Do you remember the one and only time da had me in the shop." Ruru asked

Rurune giggled over the linkshell and responded, "Aye Silver Wolf still to this day gets a discount cause o how badly ye offended him. I get you its just…I miss having ye here."

Ruru gave a soft smile, "I know sis but look at it this way, Taln and the birds aient gonna let me avoid coming to visit the lad so this'll be a way ye get to see me more often."

Another giggle came over the shell and Une stated, "I'll hold you to that see you in?"

Ruru did the mental calculations, "Three days from where we are in the Shroud. That's o course if the weather don't get to soggy and slow the birds down."

"See you then sis," Rurune replied as the linkshell clicked indicating she had shut it off.

Ruru sighed and looked over at Taln who was carefully measuring out some spices for the rub on the dodo he was preparing for the boy. Looking over at the sleeping Elezen Ruru said softly, "Hope ye like spice lad cause thats what Taln prefers."

Ideas for a potential (and ideal for my tastes) Kirby Party game!!

This'll be long, obviously, so I'm leaving everything under the cut.

At its core, the game is a literal copy-and-paste of classic Mario Party. Everyone moves around the board, gathering more of a select item than their competitors to win, with minigames sprinkled throughout. No differences there. The difference comes from what the objects are, in this case.

On the topic of stars:

Here, stars are replaced with food items, given out by Kawasaki who replaces Toad. Whenever Kawasaki is moved, through any means, he prepares a new, unique food item.

When you get to Kawasaki, you can spend 20 point-stars (the Kirby equivalent of coins) for whatever he offers. Or you could spend 25 point-stars to get a different food selected at random.

Why does this matter? Because you can eat these food items for special bonuses, offering a nice helping of strategy to the established norm. Eating them means you lose a point, however, so it should be used very carefully to be effective.

Outside of those, at least one food is offered that has no stat effects and is just your bog standard.

On the topic of items:

Originally, I had planned for most of the items to come straight from Mario Party 2, but after looking more closely into the item system of Parties 5-7 (mainly 6 because it serves as another big influence on the project), I fell in love with the nuance and strategy that could be employed.

With that in mind, I was thinking about revamping the item system and number of items to better fall in line with this style. However, I'll still share the old item lineup, just for personal reference:

Wheelies act as mushrooms, letting you roll two dice blocks, while Rex Wheelies let you roll three.

Warp Stars act as, well, Warp Blocks, letting you swap places with a random player.

The Dimension Mirror allows you to move backward along a board when used. (And this will be more costly, so as not to be absolutely broken like the Reverse Mushroom was.)

The Vat-luck moves Kawasaki to a different space.

The Noddy Network calls Nightmare upon a player of your choosing.

The Enticing Cheese calls Daroach, while the Stinky Cheese prevents Daroach from stealing from you.

The Dinner Bell warps you straight to Kawasaki.

The Invisibility Stone lets you walk through alternate pathways.

The Nebula Chest steals a random item.

The Dueler's Sword... is self-explanatory.

On the topic of boards:

I conceptualized 12 main boards for the game. At the moment, they are:

Foody Feilds (Grassland, Food-centric theming.)

Corruption Cavern (Mining cave theme.)

Dusky Drawings (Spooky Mansion + Art theme)

Each playable character will have a unique outfit for every board except for two. No one will have a unique outfit on Basalt Boulevard, and everyone will have a unique outfit on Nightmare's Nexus.

The character that does not have a unique outfit on the given board plays an integral role at the end if they lose, triggering a boss fight that acts as a final minigame (sort of similar to the boss minigames in Mario Party 9).

...Lemme explain.

So. Thing is, I'm still translating Arle's route, don't worry. It's just with school going on and the sort, I...don't have enough to show for the route right now, so instead of sending the little bit I have, I'll use the filler episode to show off some OTHER findings I have...and my rambles about random Puyo things.

Yeah believe it or not there's always something to learn about Puyo/Madou, and since I'm someone who knows a good bit, I may as well tell some. With that, the usual shall begin.

Heya everyone, happy super early Halloween because that's this lady's birthday, but since I feel like it, we're posting it now.

Welcome or welcome back to Waku Puyo Extras, the filler series where I translate much, much smaller videos than the things I usually do, while also talking about the wonderful world of Madou and Puyo, giving little facts and knowledge I have of these games.

This episode is about...well. Witch. You may be wondering "Why her?" And to that I say:

Girl has caused me now 4 sleepless nights. I'm sharing this knowledge with you all.

Oh, and I'm impatient for Halloween. That too. But that's besides the point, I felt like making an episode just about her because, well, she's my 3rd favorite character besides Lagnus and Lemres. Plus, while learning about the lore and the games, I've stumbled upon a lot of info about characters, some good and some...well, it's not awful but slightly questionable. This time, this stuff will be centered around all Madou games as a whole, as Puyo is another breed of things.

This'll cover these few things:

Very short video about a refight in Waku Waku Puyo Puyo Dungeon.

Her character portrayal in specific games (Saturn, Tower of the Magician, etc.) I won't be speaking about Puyo games this time around besides maybe for a joke or two. Won't be in chronological order.

...Let's just say crimes against Schezo and occasionally Arle. Consider this an add on to 2. Who knows? Maybe this'll change your opinion on her.

And err...consider this compensation for not bring done with episode 1 of Arle's route. I'm getting it done, don't worry. I just don't have enough to share RN.

HOWEVER. With the help of @kirstenonic05 (Good friend of mines who gave me this recommendation,) they were kind enough to give me a small video to translate.

Ah. 4 lines. My beloved.

So with that outta the way, let's speak about her several incarnations throughout the series.

Where do I even BEGIN?

I guess we'll start with what I believe to be a good starting point: Madou Monogatari; Tower of the Magician.

In this game, you play as Schezo trying to go through a tower for power, which is basically the quickest way to describe the game. However, Witch's trial to get an actual name starts at the same time, but she runs into Schezo and Incubus, and they kinda fight.

Throughout the game, she's a roaming sidekick, usually there to help with puzzles and banter with Schezo. Here...Schezo kinda dotes on Witch like an older brother would, while providing banter and the sort. He'll he even gives answers to Witch's trials just to get further into the tower.

However, near the end, Witch begins to get concerned for her grandmother, and Schezo says she'll be alright.

She was not alright. She got possessed and Schezo fights the final boss. When Wish is brought back to her senses, Schezo says that it was Witch who saved the day, not him. (When it was him.)

Unfortunately, since Witch had outside help, she fails the trials. Sad day.

It's a nice dynamic they had. Plus they show that she cares a lot for her grandma, which I absolutely respect.

Keyword had.

Because besides this game, it kinda goes all over the place. Like Madou Saturn. However, I still like the dynamic later on, it's super funny.

In this game she plays a minor role, like everyone that's not the ARS/Satan/Lagnus. She's kidnapped along with Draco by Incubus, and if you choose to save Witch first, you go to a tourney to save Draco as well. After you beat Kikimora, who was infested with the smoke via the Yogs, Kiki tells you that she saw Schezo (didn't name him though, and he was possessed by Lagnus,) and Witch is IMMEDIATELY interested. Rulue says that he's a massive pervert and...yeah that don't work. She gets more interested.

They finally met Schezo and the first thing she says is that she wants to touch him.

AKA this. Translated it says "...So this is the mega-pervert! Lemme touch him!"

Which I mean, there's worse introductions. After you kick Schezo's ass, he leaves, and Witch is quite sad that he left.

After that, the Trio wins the tourney, which gets interrupted by Jann, and after some shenanigans, beat her and save Draco. After that, Witch leaves the party.

Alright, so a wacky impression in Madou, surely it can't get wackier...

Just like clockwork, Waku Puyo strikes y'all.

Ah, this game. My namesake, basically, the thing that got me to Tumblr and have me listening to the Apollo Justice OST for hours.

I'll say it here: Most of what I know of Witch comes from Schezo's Route. Just a heads up.

But what even goes on in there? Great question, I wished you never asked.

In Schezo's Route, you meet her at the Horror House and she's all vague with him, saying she wants "it" and begins to beg, leaving my poor man Schezo befuddled. Then she clarifies that she wants his clothes, and she'll rip it off if Schezo says no.

Then during the end of the game, Schezo can run into her again. And she's doing the usual, asking basically a cave dweller for his clothes, to which Schezo finally asks why.

Her answer? She wants them, and they're cool. She also throws the heart symbol a lot toward ONLY Schezo.

(Top one is her vaguely saying that Schezo's clothes are still cool, middle one is Schezo saying he's not going to strip, but she was gonna ask for the Meteor Spellbook he had, but the clothes would be nice also.)

Yes. This is how she acts to ONLY Schezo Wegey. I'm pulling out his full government name for that one.

So with that, that most that I know about her-

Nah I'm joking. We gotta talk about Rulue's Spring Break of Fists.

For those unaware, Rulue's Spring Break of Fists was a Disc System game released in 1997, which is more of a "Choose your adventure Visual Novel" sorta deal where Rulue is tasked with getting ingredients for...cooking, not fully sure myself.

What I AM sure of is that Witch is there. And oh boy, does shit get wacky. You enter her house, and Rulue asks for the ingredients she needs, and Witch isn't giving the responses Rulue wants, which she (understandably) gets annoyed at. However, Autism be damned, Witch can cook what Rulue is trying to make, and she'll give the ingredient to Rulue... if she answers her quiz. Yes. A quiz.

Alright, not too bad, right?

Wrong. First question she asks is "What is my bust size?

No. I'm not joking. And since I'm trying to save images, the answers you could've chosen are:

A. 79 • 60 • Unknown

B. 78 • 58 • 81

C. 90 • 61 • 87

(The answer...is B. Which is fucking hilarious because in Madou Saturn it's 81 • 58 • 81, and Saturn came out a year later.)

She then continues to tell us to remember it, and after the quiz... she does give the ingredient, thankfully.

Unfortunately I dunno what she does in Puyolympics or Serilly's Happy Birthday, but I'll learn someday.

With all of this, you may wonder "How is she getting away with asking all of this stuff?"

I'm glad you asked. This little lass has commented some crazy things.

Take, oh IDK, Drugging Arle in the Tottemo Puyo Puyo Manga to make her fall in love with her?

And that...didn't go well because Arle fell in love with almost everyone else but her. Which is IRONIC.

Then wanting to touch Schezo, cooking Incubus so bad with fire that he couldn't move for 3 days (both in Saturn), then...wanting to rob Schezo of his clothes and basically commit public indecency, and asks several times throughout Waku Puyo.

And then in more modern Puyo media, in 20th Anniversary she goes around basically harassing people to get ingredients but they're all subsituted for something else EXCEPT Schezo's hair, in the Puyo Puyo light novels she fake cries to Amitie and almost blows her up with nuisance puyos. And in Puyo Puyo Tetris 2, when she gets possessed by Marle, asking Schezo to submit to her and that she know he wants to, and if he doesn't come to her, she'll come to him. And after she's cured, whatever she does with Marle and Draco, I'm ngl I forgot.

I joke about her being an actual pervert, but you know... maybe the joke isn't a joke anymore. And thus, I shall sentence her to...

With my long talk, I think this marks the end of this episode. When all is said and done, Witch is still one of my favorite Puyo characters, and maybe with this new knowledge (even if some of, no, a lot of it was odd,) you'll like her more...or less. One of the two.

Hello! You talked about Romirr in regards to the post about ascending to godhood being dehumanizing.... I'm curious, can you elaborate more about how it affects him and his feelings about going through that when he realizes it (if he does at all)? 👀

Absolutely!! This'll be a lot of get comfy (✿◕‿◕✿)

So about Romirr... Ignoring his obvious issues (his unrealistic beliefs and how he treats Pandora), he was a really good king. He'd listen to his people, he kept them safe, people liked him, and he cared for them. Until someone tried to pursue the art of magics, then he would have them exiled or executed. Romirr becoming an angel seems very out of character for him, given his constant rejection of the deities and the idea of becoming one, however him later becoming Mirror is meant to show how even he fails to stand for his beliefs. When he is menaced by what he thinks is a demon (it was Galvarium), he goes into hiding and prays to the angels. When he is faced with an actual demon threatening to kill him, he shrieks to the heavens, because he doesn't know what else to do.

Upon becoming an angel, Romirr, literally and metaphorically, dies. Mirror can be argued as not even being a person, rather a shell holding Romirr's absurd belief. This is why he is so cold and emotionless, why everything he does is to prove that Romirr was right- That humans do not need angels or demons, that they have their own power and are able to reach a higher existence without being affiliated with what he sees as dehumanizing magic. He is partly right, choosing to become an angel or demon after passing does remove one's humanity to some extent, but should the individual choose, they do not need to become a holier-than-thou being, a monstrous entity, etc etc. They can continue to be themselves.

I feel like I should make it clear that Mirror does not enjoy being an angel at all. Hence why he hardly uses any of his magic despite having powerful abilities. During the Rapid Corpus arc, he is somewhat happy to be taken to Limbo. At least then he is no longer an angel.

Throughout out the story, you can see Mirror becoming less and less put together. Failure after failure, the people who initially stood by him beginning to reject him, all of it adding up and leading him to snap and attempt to kill Alice when she was a child. But that was a distraction, what he really wanted was to get his hands on Kisaki, given that he was the reason for his biggest failure. The disease, it's creation, had allowed him to gather an impressive group of loyal supporters. Whatever science he announced that they would pursue, they would follow. He was so close to starting research on what would later become the Pseudo Humans... then all of it come crashing down when Kisaki (or mostly Mad Rabbit) destroyed their facilities. Any surviving researchers where told the truth of what Mirror was attempting, which, unsurprisingly, turned them against him. Mirror's breakdown started the arc before Rapid Corpus, when Yugami finally snapped and rejected his control, when Rukka, his lover at the time, turned his back and told him to get out. Any feelings of love or sympathy he had was for sure gone, so when Kisaki ruined everything for him, he could only react with anger. He didn't know anything else.

Him taking Alice hostage in order to kill Kisaki really shows how far gone he is, how dehumanized he's become. He has no morals, but more importantly, he lost his fear.

Mirror was absolutely horrified, and I cannot emphasize that enough, by Limbo and Galvarium's existence. He'd never show it though. So his move to try and kill Kisaki himself, knowing that it would send him to Limbo, shows he broken he is. On top of that, Mirror actively uses the knowledge of Limbo to try and scare Kisaki. Obviously this doesn't work. Side note so this makes more sense, Mirror did not know that Kisaki was a partial LAE. He assumed he was a demon, given that he looked like one, and because of his blue hair, Mirror also assumed he didn't know about Limbo.

When Galvarium shows up to take Mirror to Limbo anyway, Mirror does attempt to run, however when he is caught (which was very easily), he hardly reacts. He doesn't speak, he doesn't blink, he doesn't move. He shuts down.

It's when he comes a Limbo-Altered Entity that Mirror becomes less of a character/person, and more of a concept. Until the Gates of Limbo are opened, Mirror does nothing but stay in one place. When speaking now, Mirror doesn't use "I" or "me", now it is "us", "we", but sometimes "you". The final form of Romirr Kagami is called "Truth of his World" because at that point his presence is merely a manifestation of what Romirr wanted the world to be. The world at that point in the story is, in some way, what he wanted. There where humans, albeit fake humans, who could reach deity status without the use of magics. Truth of His World isn't Romirr Kagami, it is an idea, the concept of a better world he had all those years ago.

Romirr never noticed himself losing his grip on humanity. He promised himself he would never forget who he is, he vowed to continue to care and nurture mankind. He believed what he was doing was for the benefit of humans. Obviously, he lost sight of that.

Wowee I didn't mean to write so much hahaha oops! Romirr/Mirror is meant to be the big-bad, hated character of IV, but that doesn't take away from how much I love him! Writing his character to go from someone who was actually very lovable, to something so horrid is really fun, and I am super proud of him! o(*°▽°*)o
