6- Miss Imperius by Broadside. This one gets stuck in my head constantly. They've got a few songs like that, ones that just get into your head and stay there for a week but this is definitely my favorite of the bunch!

21- DYWTYLM by Sleep Token. I mentioned it in another answer to one of these but I have had the album that this song is on on repeat this year. It's one of my no-skip albums.

#Details by Frou Frou has been another no-skip album lately but that's decidedly a different vibe from every other song i've mentioned lol #pretty sure the band is just Imogen Heap and some guy. big fan of whatever they were doing in the 2000s.#they're the ones that made the cover of Holding Out for a Hero that plays in the credits of Shrek 2.#which is the best shrek movie by the way. I watched the hell out of it as a kid but my sibling and I recently rewatched it #and we agreed that it is in fact the best shrek movie.#the shrek soundtracks all go so hard by the way. shoutout whoever did the music licensing for the shrek franchise.#literally nobody has done it like that before or since.#I Need Some Sleep by The Eels is genuinely such a good song and I love it and it perplexes me that it's in shrek 2 but also hell yeah.

#sting #this brought to you by me approaching the end of the first phase of the IWTV x Sting playlist (going through his discography and then #culling what doesn't fit the theme) and hearing Everybody Laughed But You and going oh. ok. i like what you're doing here #he reused the instrumental for another song released during the same era (using k-pop terms help) and they're both good but.#ELBY. that one yk #i am also learning that his golden age of no-skip albums is (as i suspected + know from what i've listened to before) is from solo debut #The Dream of the Blue Turtles in '85 to Brand New Day in '99. after that the albums tend to have a couple good songs here and there #but not yk. full playthrough without fast-forwarding. the live albums are great tho 10/10. so is Symphonicities which is the orchestral #cover album he released in 2010 #my task now is to decide whether i'm going to organize it like my JWDS playlists (mainly in order of album) OR by lyrical theme OR #by key signature so it like. flows into itself harmonically. idk. we'll figure it out sksksksk

I always know which songs are gonna be underrated/slandered on an album because they're my favorite song(s) 🙃

#i swear every time I watch a reaction video to an album #my favorite songs are always the ones that are either deemed skips or not very good/the best or could've been taken off the album #I watched a reaction video to 5sos's SGFG my favorite 5sos album and the guy said that airplanes and san francisco were the weakest songs #on the album and I was just there like ''...of course it's my favorite songs you're saying that about when you loved every other song😑🙃''#and then I realized it really was a pattern because the same thing happened with emotions on 5sos5 and lover of mine on CALM #graceland too on phoebe bridgers' punisher is another example #THANKFULLY no slander for new years day when my boy HTHAZE did his rep reaction I would have LOST IT #he did slander call it what you want tho so #among other songs and albums but my point is that if a song is my favorite 9 times out of 10 it will be an underrated and/or slandered song #and that has really started to bug me a lot #abby's just rambling don't mind her #abby fully admits she's an idiot
