I always did wonder what Mor thought was going to happen when she did what she did.

I get it; desperation breeds stupidity, and more so in teenagers being essentially sold off to be married to a stranger. But actions do have consequences, and while I can empathize with the pain she must’ve been in during those few hours at the border before Azriel found her, it does begs the question:

What did she think was going to happen?

The daughter of the steward of CoN, niece to the then HL of Night, breaks her betrothal to the eldest son and heir of the HL of Autumn by sleeping with an Illyrian bastard. And Mor just thought that she could’ve gotten away with it? In the Hewn City, notorious for its abuse and cruelty of its women and children? With Beron—the infamously cruel and murderous HL—as the FIL she humiliated by sleeping with Cassian?

What did she think was going to happen to her? To Cassian?

That Keir would break the betrothal without issue, or that Beron wouldn’t seek vengeance for humiliating him and his heir? That everyone was going to walk away unscathed after doing what she did? It’s a wonder that Cassian wasn’t executed for the part he played in Mor’s broken betrothal, be it by Night or Beron. Had Beron wanted Mor anyway to be broken and humiliated as she humiliated the Vanserras, I can guarantee Cassian’s head would have rolled 500 years ago.

Mor’s plan was brainless and thoughtless and fucked over all three parties involved. Eris didn’t even need to be eleven or nine to be fucked over immensely by her actions. Because despite her insistence, there was nothing Eris could have done. He couldn’t have saved her without signing her death warrant; she’d be brutalized for her decisions till death by Beron. Leaving Mor at the border was the best case scenario, especially if Eris had even an inkling that Azriel would come look. Given that Azriel keeps getting caught, I wouldn’t be surprised if Eris was counting on it.

Mor was the one to put Eris in the boat of shitty decisions in the first place. She doesn’t get to hold it over him for choosing when she forced him into that choice. Lording what happened over 500 years later without even once considering that it was her decisions that led to her abuse at her family’s hand is actually insane. No growth, no realization, no understanding; nothing. And I’m not saying forgive Keir or Beron because fuck that. But blaming Eris—who was also forced into that betrothal (because why is her being a child bride an issue for the IC but not that he was a child groom one)—most for making what he believed to be the best choice for her that day is actually insane.

Mor made the choices. She set the marionettes in place. She got what she wanted: her freedom. She doesn’t get to be angry at Eris for dancing on her puppet strings; eleven or nine or seventeen matters little when he had even less choices than her.

All i’m saying is

Morrigan slept with Cassian to break her bethrothal to Eris. She knew that by sleeping with Cassian, she was proving that she could not be trusted to be married to the heir of Autumn.

When Eris rightfully so, broke their engagement, any fallout rightfully fell on Morrigan, as he did EXACTLY what she wanted him to do. He absolved himself of any further relations with the NC.

Mor is mad because he left her at the Autumn border, completely disregarding the fact that her actions alone prohibited her from seeking solace in the Autumn court And yes, Eris found her (along with his fellow soldiers btw) and left her there because touching her meant condemnation for her to the Autumn court, guess who didn’t want to be there, oh yeah the dying fae with a nail through her “womb”????

these were choices she made. so no i don’t hold 11 year old eris accountable for his actions the same way i dont hold 14 year old sansa stark to her actions. but i do hold 19/20 year old Morrigan to hers.

And fucking hell, maybe start blaming her family first?? they’re the ones that hammered those nails in and left her there!!

You know what we should bring back?

Older christianity. I mean the anti government, anti military, community based christianity. The one that cared the most about peace, equality, mercy, kindness, and radical love. The one with shared property. The one that didn't conform to society but instead existed mostly outside of it. The one where noone considered one sin worse than another because in the end, we are all sinners trying our best to be better.

i think when it comes to the F+C finale it's important to see where the writers were coming from. And it's easy to do that, the lesson/moral they gave simon is fairly clear: Simon needs to appreciate his life because Betty sacrificed so much to get him here. alright, cool, that's good on paper.

I do Also think that the execution was poor.

up until this point, the crown has represented/could be viewed as many things. Alzheimer's, substance abuse, and anything else people have called it. In this series, a newer interpretation has arose: Suicide. And I'm certain the writers were aware of this. Depression and suicidal ideation are such strong themes in this series that they can't NOT be purposeful.

So their attempt at teaching Simon to appreciate Betty's sacrifice can ALSO be read as: Simon, the suicidal, on the verge of a relapse-man, gets put into a body of a child, (and that is very powerful imagery that does not help, actually) and is told nearly expressly that he fucked up in his relationship with the love of his life. He is told he should have sacrificed more for betty. And he says to himself: "Maybe i wouldn't have even found the crown". Basically it's simon pinning the blame on himself for his 1000 year curse on his mistakes with Betty. Which of course can be read as Simon's self loathing but the show does nothing to refute his statement, which i also have issue with. Simon putting on the crown was stated to be a Mistake. it was an accident. No matter what, the crown cursing him Was Not His Fault. Ever. It's not Betty's fault, it's not Simon's, it. was. a. Mistake.

regardless on if they should or should not have introduced these new flaws into simon's character, having simon learn his mistakes like This feels. icky. to me.

Has anyone seen "Margarita" commenting on Punk pictures on Pinterest?

Ok so I've been on pinterest for a while and I've been noticing over the last few weeks that the same account comments on a lot of pictures of CM Punk, often with bad spelling, multiple times, and as if they're talking directly to him. And all the comments are from the last year. Has anyone else seen this?

The display name is Margarita, but the username is munica1975p, so presumably they were born in '75 and would be 49yrs old (if 1975 is even a reference to their age in the first place). They have a few boards dedicated to various men (the only wrestling one is Roman Reigns), but they have no public Punk boards despite their obsession. And yet it really only takes a minute of looking through Punk photos on pinterest to see a post with one of their comments.

They've even commented to wish punk "good night" on multiple photos of him. I honestly can't tell where they stand with him. One post they'll be saying how they're a fan and can't wait to see him and then another will say "end fast" or "I will find new friend". I'm just very confused.

There's just so many comments, and they keep coming back to comment on the same posts over and over every few weeks. And with how badly spelt some are, how disjointed, and how some of the comments really don't make any sense, I can't tell if this is someone whose just trolling, or someone whose just got a really unhealthy obsession or some psych issues or smth. I know trolls can be dedicated but even still, this is a lot. And with the age on the account, 49 (if that really is their age) seems a bit older than what I would expect for your average shitposter.

I can only assume they have a private board of Punk photos and scroll through every so often and re-comment on the pictures over and over again.

But yeah, has anyone else seen this? I'm very confused but also kinda fascinated by this. I wanna know if it's trolling or if they're actually that obsessed.

vent post sorry so sorry i'm having a Bad Time

psyched myself up to buy a new bed but when i announced my plans for the weekend my sibling's like 'are you sure you wanna buy a new bed?' like damn killed the hype immediately. i don't wanna buy a bed i don't wanna go anywhere i'll just keep using the bed that we all cycled through growing up that hasn't been replaced in a decade+ with no bedframe and only one sheet that fits.

"are you sure you want-" I need a new bed. This isn't a matter of wanting. i don't want to think about where to get the best deals or which store has a delivery service or the logistics of hauling that thing into my room or where to get rid of the old one i'm sick of sleeping on a mattress on the floor. don't make this ordeal more complicated than it has to be.
