Well, this is certainly new. Ryoma raises his eyebrows at the absurdity of the situation, but, well, it is kind of funny, isn’t it? Even the mounts are feeling the festive spirit. Though, this particular fellow is feeling quite bold.

“Oh, please do not worry. It's quite funny, isn't it?” He assumes the pegasus likely isn’t hers; he can’t imagine anyone would send out their mount to matchmake. i was going to split these into separate posts but Ah who CARES they're all here now. for the intents and purposes of this post i am leaning more positive to the romance aspects (usually i'm more ambivalent). looong post ahead!

(i'm considering the lyrics based on the direct unofficial translations credited to Maon_ObeyMe on twitter, rather than the official english versions)

CHARACTER SONGS

Arcadia (Lucifer) -> Sonically: 7/10 I'm oddly into that one synth that comes in after the chorus. The violin stings are cool. Fun to vibe to! Points knocked off because he kind of doesn't sound like Lucifer, though. -> Lyrically: 5/10 Points removed (derogatory) for "lady", other points removed (affectionate) for the hilarity of "I'm fall in love u baby". You can tell it was written when they were still clinging somewhat to the dominant diet Christian Grey thing, but a lot of the lines are still genuinely romantic (while also being very Lucifer.) -> Overall: 7/10 I scrunch my face when I get to That One Line but otherwise I do pick this to listen to semi-regularly.

Are You Ready? (Mammon) -> Sonically: 6/10 Banger, but repetitive. Good rhythm to walk to. Hirotaka Kobayashi's delivery makes it. -> Lyrically: 6/10 Points docked for repetitiveness, but it's cute to see this side of him verbalised. Gender neutral high heels are a serve. -> Overall: 6/10 I don't relisten to this one quite as much as Arcadia, but I think that's just a genre preference.

My Chance! (Levi) -> Sonically: 8/10 The mixing on his voice is a bit weird, but it fits in with the chiptune sound, which I adore. Really catchy chorus. I also really like that soft bell insturment that's playing along with the main melody. -> Lyrically: 8/10 Really cute! Levi's characterised really well here. I love his little spoken interjections - Satoshi Kada is one of my favourite VAs in terms of delivery. (Levi's lines are some of the best in either of the voiced pop quizzes.) -> Overall: 8/10 Cute and fun to listen to. It's really easy to imagine a music video for this one.

Read My Heart (Satan) -> Sonically: 8/10 Really pretty piano instrumental, but I feel like there could've been a bit of variation. On the one hand, layering in some strings could've sounded really nice, but on the other, it does feel more personal as a solo piano ballad. Shinya Sumi has a really nice voice. -> Lyrically: 9/10 Very sweet, almost poetic, very Satan. The reference to cats doesn't feel heavy-handed. It feels like he wrote it. -> Overall: 9/10 I really like the bridge. It has a sort of lullaby quality as well, so it's nice to fall asleep to, or listen to when you need to calm down.

Pomade (Asmo) -> Sonically: 7/10 It's better-produced than some of the songs I've given a higher sonic rating, but this is more a matter of preference - this song isn't super my style. -> Lyrically: 10/10 EXCELLENT. The journey Asmo goes on? Starting out singing about himself and tempting you, then shifting to singing about you (You are my captive -> I am your captive) - the way it basically reflects his arc in OM S1? Chef's kiss. Beautiful. -> Overall: 7/10 I don't listen to it that often but I do think about those lyrics. They're so good. This is how you write a character song.

Hungry Six-Pack (Beel) Sonically: 8/10 I'm a sucker for that 'wah' effect on the guitar. I really like the rock sound, but I think it was done better in Barbatos's song. (Sorry, Beel.) Kyohei Yaguchi also does a really good job on the performance - you really get the feeling that this is how Beel himself would perform in a band. The interval in "darou" in the chorus is to die for, as is the "forever, forever-ah-ah-ah" in the last chorus. Lyrically: 6/10 Even in songs Beel cannot escape the "they only know how to write him with one character trait" allegations (/hj). To be fair, it'd be hard to get into his deeper character without dipping into lyrics about survivor's guilt, which I feel wasn't what they were going for. Overall: 7/10 I like to imagine him performing this at a bar. Also, total aside, but I really don't like that title.

Dreamscape (Belphie) -> Sonically: 9/10 I'm not usually a lo-fi person, but the vibes are perfect for Belphie and I really like this composition. -> Lyrically: 7/10 Really cute, but pretty basic - then again any of the songs' lyrics seem so when you compare them to the Queen Pomade. I do like how much Belphie's needy little-brother nature comes through here. "Hey, come see me, please?" Makes me want to pinch his cheek. -> Overall: 9/10 The sound alone carries it. I listen to it pretty regularly.

No.1 (Diavolo) -> Sonically: 9/10 Takuhei Yamamoto is giving it so much oomph and it's fantastic and also very in-character for Diavolo himself. He would be that enthusiastic. He would throw his head back and belt like that mic was made for him. (I find the "Sā, hora!" before the chorus really cute.) -> Lyrically: 6/10 It feels a little weird that he's doing the dominant thing in the lyrics here, but his sin attribute is apparently pride, and it's interesting that they chose this characterisation for him given he's usually so affable. (It's not like it came out of nowhere, to be fair - Diavolo basically admits to it on occasion, he seems to just hold it back, usually.) -> Overall: 7/10 Solid song that I don't listen to all that often for some reason.

Crazy About You (Barbatos) -> Sonically: 10/10 Absolute banger. The guitar solo makes me want to run through walls. Masayuki Harada's performance as Barbatos is also both spot-on and pitch perfect. That "Ahh-" leading into the chorus is gorgeous. I'm not the biggest fan of the spoken lines, but I appreciate that they're there for those truly starved stans who don't get nearly enough of him in the main story. -> Lyrically: 8/10 Perhaps oddly I really like his mix of servitude and sternness here. Feels playful in a way that I think really works for his dynamic with MC. (If only they'd utilise it in the game.) -> Overall: 10/10 It's just that much of a banger. Barbatos I'm so sorry for what the NB remix did to you. You were too powerful.

My Wish (Luke) -> Sonically: 6/10 Gonna be honest I completely forgot how this song sounded after I finished listening to it for the first time. I'm not the biggest fan of Luke's voice direction and there are parts in this where I just fully see a full grown man doing the voice. I do really like the chorus (the part that mentions sweets and cream) though. -> Lyrically: 8/10 Just very cute. Pretty much exactly what you'd expect from Luke - another one of those where you can easily imagine that the character wrote it themselves. -> Overall: 6/10 I don't think I've listened to it more than five times, to be honest. I actually quite like the NB remix for this one.

Question Love (Simeon) -> Sonically: 4/10 Simeon what the hell did they do to you. The production is fine, it's just... the autotune? It isn't like Yu Hirata can't sing. Why did they do that? Presumably it's a stylistic thing, which I'm not against, it's just not executed well. (Though it's cute to imagine Simeon himself being responsible, as tech-illiterate as he is.) It's a weird genre for a character like him, too. I was expecting another ballad, maybe with a harp... -> Lyrically: 6/10 Feels quite generic - I feel like Simeon of all characters would have had a more poetically written song, and his relationship with MC could have been particularly interesting to write about. (Though I'm not sure how long ago this was released.) -> Overall: 5/10 He deserved better. I do like the instrumental on his NB remix, though. That deep bass synth in the back is great

Our Destiny (Solomon) -> Sonically: 7/10 Really like those violins on the chorus. The blend of the strings with the more lo-fi adjacent sound is actually really fitting for a character like Solomon. Kazuki Kawata has this really nice smooth voice, and his ad-libbing at the end is pretty charming. The "hey!" on the chorus sometimes veers into youtube_kids_going_yay.mp3 territory for me, though. -> Lyrically: 7/10 I really like that he calls back to one of his in-game phone calls. It's kind of funny that he sounds so sure of himself when there's an almost insecure nature to his affections in NB especially. -> Overall: 7/10 All around good song. Another one who got done dirty by his remix.

UNIT SONGS

Choose Me (Mammon, Levi, Asmo) -> Sonically: 6/10 I like the big brass sound, but... eh. Feels like something's missing. I like Hirotaka Kobayashi's delivery on Mammon's rap lines, but the chorus in particular feels kind of lacking. -> Lyrically: 7/10 I don't know what this 'love game' is but I don't think I want to participate. I also fully hear "gay" every single time. That aside, the verses are pretty good. -> Overall: 5/10 Not really for me, but I'll listen to it on shuffle sometimes. This one's remix was criminally bad.

Telepathy (Beel, Belphie) -> Sonically: 10/10 Such a pretty instrumental. Is that "ooooooo" in the background Belphie? It does sound like Satoshi Onishi's voice. The twins both sound perfectly in character and in sync with each other (though I would've liked for them to have a verse together.) Their spoken bridge is adorable. -> Lyrically: 7/10 It's hard to gauge the vibes from the lyrics. They're definitely singing to/about each other (they say so in the bridge), and that's clear in the chorus, but there are a few parts where it's like. Is that something you say to a brother?? Did a songwriter miss a memo? Also what does "your muscles are mood" mean. -> Overall: 9/10 It's such a comforting song to listen to. I just get a bit distracted by "your muscles are mood" every time. Belphie. What does that mean. Please

Passion (Lucifer, Satan) -> Sonically: 8/10 Really big fan of the piano. The breathing sounds caught me off-guard at first, but I know to expect them now. I really like both VA's performances. Lucifer sounds like Lucifer again! -> Lyrically: 7/10 I find Lucifer's line "I said that I’d listen with patience and silence, but you've got some nerve to actually continue" kind of out-of-place - it's more consistent with his characterisation in early NB than anywhere in OM when this was released, which is interesting - but the rest is pretty good. I really couldn't imagine singing this alongside your own sibling though. -> Overall: 8/10 I don't tend to choose this one a lot, but I don't skip it if it comes on in shuffle.

Take It Easy (Satan, Belphie) -> Sonically: 8/10 Really fun bouncy instrumental. I really like the rapport between these two here. (Would you say Belphie's in falsetto? Either way, I love how he and Satan take the higher and lower registers respectively.) -> Lyrically: 10/10 God I love these lyrics. They're so funny. The brief moment of sincerity before they go right back to singing about how much they love pranking Lucifer. "Makes me happy" makes me so happy. It's so sweet. These little rascals. These absolute rapscallions. -> Overall: 9/10 I like the sound of Rock On better, but the LYRICS. They're so great.

Rock On!! (Lucifer, Mammon) -> Sonically: 9/10 This one's another banger. The VAs do a great job with the back-and-forth delivery in the spoken bridge (I especially love how Lucifer and Mammon both sound like they're pretending really hard that they don't give a shit on "Yoroshiku douzo negawakuba" together". Lucifer also sounds like he ran out of air on "...omae wa" a little earlier. Lol -> Lyrically: 8/10 It's really funny to listen to them both strut their stuff singing about themselves in the verses and then suddenly get sincere to each other on the bridge. Though I think this song could've really benefited from the "feels like it was written by the characters" approach. -> Overall: 9/10 I just really like it!

Trigger (Levi, Asmo, Beel) -> Sonically: 8/10 This used to be my favourite of these three unit songs sonically, but solely the delivery of "Trigger!" bothers me a little bit. It could use more force, is all. That aside, everyone did a fantastic job and Satoshi Kada in particular served on Levi's verse. -> Lyrically: 7/10 I'm not even entirely sure what's going on in this song, but I like it. I didn't like Asmo addressing you as "kitten", but I did really like Miura Ayme adding a sort of cutesy whining tone to "I'm the cutest demon in the world, right?" - Ayme in general does a great job with Asmo's character in songs. -> Overall: 8/10 Still good! I think my tastes have just shifted since I first listened to it.

OPENING SONGS

Sinful Indulgence (OM!:SWD) -> Sonically: 9/10 It really is a bop. Miura Ayme's performance is great. -> Lyrically: 8/10 Pretty strong! "Oh baby, obey me!" is clever and very catchy. I only ever use the word sexy as a joke so it catches me off guard when Asmo says it, but that's not really a complaint. The dark-and-sinful nature of the lyrics is really funny when you compare it to the stuff these guys actually get up to in-story. -> Overall: 8/10 It's a good listen and a good opening to the game, even if the lyrics don't really reflect the content all that well.

Devil's Way (OM!:NB) -> Sonically: 9/10 Ohhh whatever that metallic bell sound in the intro+outro instrumental is, it is a tasty sound. Shinya Sumi is performing his heart out and he's doing fantastic. I still can't fully tell if that's Belphie or Levi on the start of the second verse, but whoever it is did a really good job of making it sound subtly unsettling. The bridge starts shifting into edgy territory, but the whole song is teetering, to be honest. Also, I've mentioned this before, but the "sekai de-eeee" just before the bridge is still so good. -> Lyrically: 8/10 I adore the use of "sweetiepie" in the chorus but it does detract a little from the dark vibe they've got going on. Lucifer using 'boku' in this song of all places is bewildering and hilarious. The darker tone definitely fits in with S1 and S2. -> Overall: 8/10 Something about that bridge bothers me. Other than that, banger.

BROTHER ENSEMBLE SONGS

It's My Party -> Sonically: 9/10 It's a bop. -> Lyrically: 6/10 Relatively basic. From a cynical perspective, the brothers basically each tell you their One Assigned Trait that the writers fall back on when they can't be bothered to do deep characterisation, but that's not the fault of the songwriter. I take psychic damage every time I hear "haters gonna hate." -> Overall: 9/10 I've listened to this quite regularly since I had my friend edit me the version with "haters gonna hate" cut out. (It's a 7/10 with the hater line left in.)

Eternal -> Sonically: 9/10 So nice. I can't unhear the first few notes as See You Again, but the rest of the track is definitely a credit to itself. I feel like there could've been more orchestral build-up, but that might also make it feel too dramatic... as is, it feels more candid and personal. Like you could imagine this being performed to you in a small local theater. -> Lyrically: 10/10 There is definitely bias at play, but hearing this as OM's first sincere ensemble love song made a pretty big impression. The lyrics are so sweet. "My love" is one of those terms of affection that I love so much I don't even mind when it's used on me. -> Overall: 10/10 Again, biased, but this song just has a special place in my heart.

On Your Way -> Sonically: 6/10 It's.... fine? I like the instrumental, but the chorus feels a little empty. Shinya Sumi hitting that high note on "Let's get you on your way" each time is kind of inspiring, though. Belt it, girl! -> Lyrically: 7/10 The "eeny-meeny-miny-mo" is so silly but I love it. -> Overall: 6/10 Pretty standard stuff.

With You -> Sonically: 9/10 Gosh, another really pretty instrumental! I think the seven VAs are definitely more comfortable singing as an ensemble here, though it would've been nice to get some more harmonies... -> Lyrically: 10/10 They're so sappy but that's what makes it work, especially delivered in all sincerity like this. Something about that last line (and its delivery) feels so earnest. -> Overall: 9/10 I'm just a sucker for whatever genre you call this and Eternal. Also, I really like title callback to S2's play (I don't think it was necessarily intentional, but still).

Spooky Night Parade -> Sonically: 7/10 It's a really fun instrumental. I love the little "hehehee....... trick or treat?" in between choruses and verses. They're just little guys. -> Lyrically: 6/10 Just sort of standard Halloween-y lyrics that don't mean too much. -> Overall: 7/10 it feels more like a novelty song than something I'd listen to regularly.

Magic Moment -> Sonically: 9/10 Oooooh that's a nice instrumental. The swelling dynamics are so satisfying, the vocal performances are all lovely. I love that glockenspiel in the back. (At least I think that's what it is.) (I've imagined IK playing it while the brothers perform this before.) -> Lyrically: 9/10 Another "it's so sappy I love it" moment. "I'm so happy I could cry" Like GUYS!! Aw man I love you. They drop three I love yous and they're all great. -> Overall: 10/10 I know the maths doesn't add up but I just really like this song.

Anniversary -> Sonically: 8/10 Strong instrumental, but I feel like the delivery on the raps in the first verse are a little lacking? Asmo and Belphie's verses feel incredibly satisfying for whatever reason. Though Belphie(?)'s little "come on baby" at the end just makes me laugh. I feel like the chorus could've benefited from splitting the brothers up a little (at least for the first two) rather than having them all sing at once. I love hearing them all talk to each other at the beginning, like a behind-the-curtain moment. -> Lyrically: 9/10 "We can't live without you" AWWWWWWWW -> Overall: 9/10 Feels nostalgic even though it came out this year. Another one where the overall rating is based on pure vibes and feeling

All the Feels -> Sonically: 10/10 Certified banger. Is it something about Barbatos? (His "one more time" in the final chorus is kinda hype.) Feel like there could've been more variety in the instrumental, though. -> Lyrically: 8/10 The verses feel more personal to the characters than in e.g. It's My Party, but the chorus is still pretty basic. It's a little upsetting that one of Barbatos's lines here has more depth to it than most of his characterisation thus far. I find it really funny that they call the listener "buddy." Probably would've been too weird for Luke to say "honey". Also, the "We are dancing, we are dancing (uh, uh)" bridge is so dumb (in a cute and funny way) -> Overall: 10/10 Just a great song to listen to (and imagine choreography to.)

This is my first time writing TBHK and it’s been so long since i touched tbhk sorry if they’re ooc ૮(˶ㅠ︿ㅠ)ა,  I’ll also probably edit this in the future so keep that in mind pls since i wrote this super rushed anyways I hope you enjoy this fic!! Also i don’t know how to come up with titles sorry]

“Nee~ Yashiro, I’m so bored”

“If you’re so bored, why don’t you help me out with cleaning! Hmp!” Yashiro said with a pout, continuing with her daily duties of cleaning the toilets. 

“Hmmm, but I don’t wanna help, Yahsiro~ Besides, this is YOUR job, MY job was to help you minimize the effects of your curse” Yashiro grumbled, he was telling the truth but… it still wouldn’t hurt to at least TRY to help her. 

Yashiro grumbled something under her breath in fake annoyance until the bathroom went silent again, allowing her to continue cleaning in peaceful quietness. 

Just then, a mischievous idea came to the mind of the ghost. “Hey Yashiro! I just thought up a great plan to help you get motivated while working!” 

The girl signed in defeat, already tired from a full day of school, now having to spend more of her time in school cleaning up, talk about overtime. “What is it Hana- EEK!” Before she could even finish her sentence, Hanako rushed behind Yashiro and grabbed her by her sides, making rapid squeezing motions. 

“Haha-HahaAHnohoko kuhuhun- WaAhahAhit! Whahahat are yohohou doOHOing?” Yashiro immediately burst into light hearted giggles. 

Hanako, seeing the positive reaction, didn’t stop his relentless ‘assult’ on her. “Woah~ Yashiro, you’re so sensitive. Is my motivational method motivating you?” The ghost boy hovered around her. 

The girl swatted at his arms weakly as an attempt to stop his tickles as his hands went from scribbling at her sides to squeezing her hips. “NahahAH- NoHohoho HahahaHAhanako! NohoHoHOt thereRere!”

He continued to tickle her hips, switching from squeezing her hips to scribbling and prodding at the bone. “EEEK! HahaHAHAhaNAhahako! IHihit tihHIhickles!” She tried squirming away but each time she tried to move away, the ghost would simply float behind her to continue his ticklily assault.

Hanako would be lying if he said Yashiro wasn’t cute, her laughter was like music to his ears and her smile was as bright as the sun…

As Hanako was lost in his thoughts, his tickling slowed giving Yashiro the perfect opportunity to-

“HEahahaHA, tahahake THIS!” Finding all her strength, she grabbed Hanako by his sleeve and…. “Eh? Yashiro- WAH!” 

*Slam*

The next second, Hanako found himself snapped out of his own thoughts and on the floor with the flustered girl straddled onto him. “Eh? Y-Yashiro… Let’s tahalk about th-this!” Nervous giggles escaped his lips as a cheeky smile grew on Yashiro’s face.

“No Hanako! Its time for me to give you back your ‘motivational method’ for payback!” Yashiro giggled as she teasingly wiggled her fingers in front of Hanako’s face.

Her fingers descended onto his torso, clawing and scribbling at his stomach like how you would rub the belly of a puppy. Almost immediately bubbles of laughter threatened to escape his lips, Hanako tried to resist, he really did, but he was too ticklish!! 

Unlike Yashiro, he was completely still like a frozen fish, save for some twitches and him swatting away Yashiro’s hands weakly. “Gah- Ya-Yahihiro, wahait it tih-tickles…” He bit his lower lip to try and distract himself with pain. 

This worked, for about 2 seconds, his wall broke and giggles flooded out. “NyHAhahahAh! YahahAHAHashiro- WahAHAHait!” He whined through his laughter, his cheeks grew into a bright shade of red and his laughter growing louder by the second.

Wile being in this position was a bit flustering for Yashiro, it was better than being in Hanako’s shoes. Being flustered by her own thoughts, she was quickly snapped out of them when a certain ghost under her snorted. 

Yashiro paused her tickling and looked at him in confusion. “Huh? Hanako, was that you?” The ghost seemed to be confused as well, and covered his face in embarrassment when he realised the sound he just made, making a whining sound under his breath as a complaint.

The girl looked at where her hands were placed, “Hoo~ Hanako-kun, is this your weak spot?” Yashiro teased, finding that her hands were placed in his armpits. 

“Ya-yashiro, I think thats enough! I’ve le-learnt my lesson!” Hanako surrendered, putting his hands up as a form of ‘surrendering’, earning a pout from the girl. 

“Hmp! Now you know not to mess with the great Yashiro Nene!” She said proudly as she helped the ghost back up, “Now you can help me with cleaning as well!”

Hanako reluctantly nodded, knowing that he woud most definitely not enjoy what would happen if he said no…

been imagining a cute camping/hiking scenario with the guys. Like picturing it, I feel like bucks definitely is constantly running ahead and doing cool stuff like pushing fallen trees out of the way and pulling apart chopped wood with her bare hands. Imagining iggy constantly being distracted by different forest things, he probably gets lost/ separated from the group a few times. Probably gets lost at some point for an hour or so only to return soaking wet cause he had slipped and fallen into a river. Orlam would probably bring a full glamping set up like dude is making sure he's comfy and living the high life even in the middle of nowhere in the woods. imagining them making smores and telling ghost stories around the fire. and then scaring each other shitless through different pranks and stuff. Who knows maybe they even see some wildlife...

this is all just a bunch of things I've been envisioning in my head a bit (will probably add more to it in my thoughts later) may write some actual fanfic with this premise. I love imagining these guys in different scenarios

The scene starts with them at the beach and transitions to them walking into a hotel room while kissing. Tew double checks that Guy is still okay and once he gets the green light it's all done for.

I love the feet tangled, and that Guy is a very active participant. He wants Tew just as much as Tew wants him.

The good thing about being late to writing my review is all the bomb ass gifs. Especially since I can't get my discord still frames to show up. Something really wonky is going on with my Tumblr.

Anyway, Guy is giving off super shy vibes. Unless he is talking about Tew's scars, then he turns into a whiney baby. He quickly learns that maybe he didn't want to know as much as he thought.

Ahhh, here we have talks of Tew leaving the gang again. Boss Daddy isn't going to let him go easily, me thinks.

"I'm all grown up!" but I stayed the night with a friend. 🤣🤣🤣 Tew teasing Guy is too adorable. We are having a too cute sappy moment, so of course that's when Wahl has to show up.

Okay, I'm all about friends being concerned but this just screams ownership. When he doesn't own Guy! Meanwhile, the entire time Wahl is running his mouth, Tew is making some expressions in the background. Which I'm loving. Wahl just doesn't realize that he is only safe because of Guy.

Fuck, I love Guy's speech.

"Listen to me, Wahl. I admit I've changed." He is asking Wahl to listen to him. This is a good way to start a conversation when you need someone to hear you, but this only works if the person values you. He then gives Wahl the benefit of telling him he is right. This will actually make Wahl more receptive to listening because he is showing this isn't a negative conversation set to place blame. "I used to be insecure and have no friends until I met you." Again, using positives in the conversation before the negatives is going to keep the listener receptive. He's also showing that he values Wahl. "You were the friend that I cared about the most. I tried to do the things you liked. Applied to the same university as you. Attempted to fit in with your friends." He is keeping this about himself and not blaming. "Do you know why? Because you told me, I would always be your first choice." You see Wah's eyes drop, and he is clearly thinking, because he is receptive to what Guy is saying. "I've been holding onto what you said for so long. So long until I've become tired of them." Now he is addressing the negative. He is exasperated with himself and Wahl for allowing himself to be stagnant and for Wahl trying to keep him there. "I want to have my own life and someone who truly understands me."

Now we have a sad Wahl at the beachside having a self awareness melt down. Meanwhile, Tew is having a beachside pouting session. He all happy once Guy spills the beans and a cute flirty moment ensues. Now he is more than happy to eat the cake that his boyfriend is offering.

Awww, he wants something personal from Guy.

These two have become sickly cute and I love it. From the teasing to the bite on the nose. I'm entranced.

Boss Daddy can read Tew very well. He knows he did something wrong, he already knew about the lying, and he knows that Tew is in love.

Damn. Daddy not playing around. You got one shot buddy, make it count. But Tew is taking those chances and is lucky. I like that he still shows respect, and I still maintain that Boss Daddy cares for Tew. It's just that he is a gangster boss.

Then Tew accepts the beating that he knew was coming. Relying on his moments with Guy to sustain him. He wraps the handkerchief from Guy around his hand and endures.

Meanwhile, in the land of guilds, they are not happy.

Just as we're about to have a reunion. Tew shows up bloody and beaten. Did the dumbass really suggest calling the police. Did his common sense leave with his virginity? This is so fucking cheesy... I mean, I like it, but it's still cheesy. "Why are you crying?" "I never want to see you hurt like this again. It hurts everywhere." We are falling into the "He fell first, but he fell harder troupe."

We get sweet promises, moments and kisses. Some TLC. That sadly doesn't move to more. Sad for both us and Tew. I'm with you, Tew. Sex makes everything better.

They are so playful. I love it.

So they'll have to do some clean up, but the besties quit the gang together and they've got a plan! If you think this is too easy, then you're right, but let's just enjoy the moment while we can.

Guy and Boss quickly realize that they need help, and guess who shows up.

I love these bitches. Let the teasing and cuteness commence!

I adore Boss's flirtiness, but damn, I don't trust him. Neither does Tul. Also, what did Phai's business card say that had Guy making that face? I have so many questions!!!

And we establish that Muffin is an idiot, but the other two aren't. But it instigated the official announcement of TewGuy. Which, of course, everyone pokes fun at. Good Times.

Tul really doesn't trust Boss. Looks like he was right not to. He works for Wish John Lennon. Sure it's by force but so what. He betrayed the person he is, claiming he'll always be beside. You thin Tew would do that to Guy?

Tul cares but doesn't trust. That is a mood there. One that is valid considering that Boss drugs their drinks.

And that is where the episode concludes. If I was Boss, I would be very afraid of what Tew will do to him for hurting Guy. But we'll have to wait and see.

He would be a bitch and ask you to sleep in the guest bedroom, but he would end up sleeping on the couch.

inevitably he's a guy i can project on a lot and i tend to find it much easier to write pretentious, overthinky characters than ones who are simpler in both their thoughts and manner of speech, bc well, i am pretentious and overthinky LOL. i've actually written a good amount in todo's perspective this year as well, but i don't think i capture his inner voice as well as i do chihaya's especially in longer works where there's a lot more for them to think about. sometimes i think i get too convoluted, but that's kind of the fun with chihaya. i think he's a really convoluted guy who has a lot of wants and desires and a degree of self-interest that causes Problems when other people get too close to him. i want bad things to happen to him and i want him to miserable bc i think it's good enrichment for him. and i think affection scares him. this question is not about my headcanons but i just UGH i love characters like this bc they're so easy to fuck up a little (a lot) and i feel like i HAVE to fuck them up a little (a lot). so cheers to chihaya, here's to fucking you up some more in the future bc god i have so many wips

28. Favorite work you wrote this year?

i think it's gotta be something blooming, it's consuming (will be referred to as vamp fic). it was really close between this and pretend it's the same (will be referred to as cheating fic), but there's a few reasons why the vamp fic comes out on top.

first of all, both of these ended up unexpectedly long, but i think vamp fic is more cohesive, even though it's longer. i say 'even though' because i feel i have a harder time keeping track of the threads i want to follow though on and making sure everything is wrapped up properly the longer a fic gets. part of the reason for this is how i handle getting stuck on a scene. i'm always a supporter of the tactic of if you get stuck, jump to some other part you have ideas for, and connect them later. doing this helps me a LOT, and usually makes it easier to write the part i'm stuck on once i know what i need to do to get to the next scene i wrote. but i think with the cheating fic, i ended up with some inconsistency/tonal differences due to writing most of the start after writing almost the entire rest of the fic. i started writing that fic in the middle of the scene that the whole fic idea was born from, and i went and did the lead up to it afterwards. but that scene involves the pov character getting drunk, and i think his... level of coherency? and eloquence of thought? varies between the late-written intro and the first-written middle of scene. i don't think it's super glaring but it's enough to bother me a little (not enough to fix it LOL).

by contrast, i wrote the vamp fic pretty much entirely in order. i think doing it this was was important in this fic because it has like 3 main scenes which are increasing in intensity/intimacy, and i do think if i had written them out of order, the ramping up would've become more muddled. i think the way it ended up is really satisfying (and hidey told me the same while betaing hehe :3 that the progression was really clear) and so i'm especially glad for that because this is also one of the most intimate fics i've written so far, even though this doesn't have actual smut and i have written actual porn. but in each of those three scenes, the dynamic between todochi shifts into something new each time, so it being a clear demarcation is yummm

another point of comparison is that both fics are about chihaya's insecurities, even though vamp fic is from todo's perspective. but that was one of the unexpected things for vamp fic that makes me love it even more - it was supposed to be a simple, horny idea about chihaya drinking todo's blood, but while writing it, i realized how great of an analogy vampirism is for chihaya's body issues, and that realization (which happened early on, as i was writing like the first scene itself) is what fueled the rest of it, really. so the fic ended up being about like, instinct and desires vs shame and repression, which was rly fun. it was really interesting to end up writing about chihaya through todo, even though the fic was about todo's desires too, because in a way it was simpler than actually being in chihaya's head LOL like i was in cheating fic. only having his words and actions to go off of and having to make todo figure him out and break down his walls i think helped me understand their relationship better than if it had been from chihaya's perspective and his resistance to todo and his instincts. another thing that came up as a really strong focus of this fic was that todo's interest wasn't just in the vampirism, it was in chihaya's experience with vampirism. for todo, it's about chihaya. but for chihaya, this fic would've been about his vampirism, and not about todo.

also, this fic was just straight up sexy LOL i have trouble writing porn bc it feels not as hot when i actually have to write it but i really like writing this stuff that's like on the edge, suggestive and intimate without going all the way, and i am super into how i executed it here. also i got really sexy fanart for it from a friend so like. yeah blessed. how could this NOT be my favorite thing i did this year

i like. exploded when i wrote this. for context chihaya is cheating on todo by kissing makita in this scene because he's lonely, and makita has had feelings for him for a long time and has never been with anyone else. i'm just hnghhhh [horny grip]. makita can be so dense and bullheaded and he pushes chihaya too much but it's all such a simple, without ulterior motives, interest in chihaya as a person. he'll argue and push chihaya's buttons, but for this, he lets chihaya take the lead. and he learns. ugh i think the concept of obedience is super interesting with makita aaauuggh like he is so devoted to improving and getting better (in baseball) and i see that diligence extending to chihaya as well. he wants to understand him better. he wants to be closer to him. but he always approached it all wrong. so the idea of chihaya letting him be close, giving makita the opportunity to learn him in this way, when there's someone else who loves chihaya and has already learned him, who knows him intimately i just went nuts AAAAAAA

A FIENDISH FEAST ━ We briefly discussed this, but I do think that Evelynn would continue to stalk around Robin even throughout the events of Arcane, simply because he exists in such a state of mental destruction that its an easy meal for her. Robin's relationships don't magically fix his issues, and he has so many issues with relying on others that he wouldnt want them to, and he continues to suffer throughout the series because of, not only, the universe's cold indifference towards him; but his own self induced misery. I think Eve is well aware that Robin will never heal on his own, and he would rather die alone than willingly let someone in and help him.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A HUMAN? ━ Jumping off of 1 because the idea has consumed me, we've always talked about how Evelynn discovers like ... the beginning of empathy/affection towards humans through Robin, and I still think that stands - however I think it gains even more traction in this verse since they spend even more time together now that Abel doesn't exist ( at least not in the same capacity ). I think Eve is going to learn a lot more about the human experience from Robin in terms of love, joy, grief, a bunch of the things she couldn't before due to their brief window together. Whether this speeds up her own growth, or makes her even more wary of people well ...

WORLD'S 1st AKALYNN SHIPPER? ━ Considering Robin's research material and Arcane going in whatever direction in the future, depending on how the timelines overlap I think it could be really fun if Robin brought Eve with him to Ionia, probably to study Flora but also please stop eating Zaunites. He'd see her and @kalijhomentethi getting cozy by the fire and be like "wow" but also 100% support it, wah I don't know its cute within all the pain.

WHERE ARE YOU? HOW COULD I MISS YOU? ━ I am a firm believer that the cup of life can be filled in various different ways, and I know that Robin grew attached to Evelynn's persistent stalkings. Whether it was knowing he still had a use to someone, or actually having someone to talk to and -- ok actually fuck it!! I was debating putting this because it is gross but I think its important! Robin hates himself. I don't think its a shock to anyone, and he is not mentally well at all when he bonds with Eve. There is a part of me that believes he would enjoy their bond partially ( at least at first ) because he has something worse to compare himself too. I think this would obviously shift over time, but in the beginning it would be such an easy thing for his damaged little brain to latch to; until he realizes he cares for her genuinely, and she for him. He'd feel awful about it later, naturally - because deep down there is love there. I briefly planned out what Robin experiences in the Hexgate Hell™ too, and shockingly, I know Eve was not present in any of them ... And yet, when he came back; oh - how he had missed her.

BFFLS - BEST FRENEMIES FOR LIFE ━ Ok now I can write about funny things. I genuinely believe Abel and Eve have this super complex camaraderie where they have this super big like ... man I don't even wanna say dislike?? They feel like the friends who shit on eachother 24/7 to the point where its concerning but as soon as you mention your concerns to them they'd scoff and laugh at you and call you stupid or something. Abel will tolerate a lot of Eve's shit and vice versa - def shit that they wouldn't from other people. Yet despite all of their constant bickering I do think they'd show up for the other in an hour of need. And then hold it over them for the rest of existence.

WEEKLY MEETINGS AKA. FAMILY DINNER ━ This is one of the most stupid, BEST ideas we've ever had Han it kills me everytime I think about it. Abel and Eve care about Robin a lot ( even if Abel doesnt really "get" it ), and the whole weekly family dinner thing is actually so sweet considering Robin had left his familial situation. They really do co-parent him together haha. But that being said, I think its like ... Thursday nights? Yeah. I have a running gag that Abel and Eve also do the "No no. I'm paying" "Well fuck you I've already called the restaurant" "well I CANCELLED YOUR CREDIT CARD" sort of thing that my old man likes to do. I think occasionally other people get invited, friends, lovers, maybe even sometimes work collegues if they're super pressed for time. Locations and level of fanciness changes weekly, but the food is always delicious because I know Abel scopes these places out.

TELEPATHY, ENGAGED. ━ These two are so old. SO OLD. They can 100% read eachother's emotions just by looking at eachother, like Abel doesn't even have a face 99% of the time but Eve can tell when he's like are you hearing this shit? I know Abel has actual telepathy to some extent and it is also very funny in my head to imagine them in this long ass meeting, both wanting to die, and Abel just whispers "You're making a face you know. Mr Neeks has already noiced." in her brain and she just kicks his foot and he just :) But yes I believe they can read eachother pretty well

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT ━ I like to think they spar occasionally to keep their skills up, and because they're both very primal creatures, makes sense that the best way for them to process difficult emotions through physical violence. It gives a safe outlet and plus I'm sure it's fun. They're pretty equal in power too, so it would be a WHILE.

Wow guys, thank you!! It means so much to see people enjoying my writing (and my silly chatting), and I hope to continue making you all happy <3 Deciding to come back to tumblr was the best choice I made last year.

I don’t really talk to much about myself on here, but I'll give a tiny bit of backstory. I’ve had this exact same blog since around 2011, it's seen so many fandoms, but I purged it in 2018. After that I completely quit posting online; Until last year when my depression decided to come back hard because of some irl issues, and I ended up going back to Star Wars and Darksiders as a comfort. Posting again was incredibly nerve-wracking as it had been so long since I’d written anything beyond silly personal drabbles, but I’m incredibly happy to see even one person enjoy what I make. I have zero shortage of self doubt for everything I create, but even if it sounds cheesy, nothing makes me happier than knowing something I created has made someone smile.

But wah wah enough sob story, onto the event! A sentence prompts list! I tried to make a good amount of spicy ones, some sfw ones, and even one or two angsty ones. Back from the mario movie! It was exactly what you would expect from the trailer: super basic plot and mediocre writing, but visually stunning and just full of game references (what u want!)

Black jack was a great choice for bowser as expected. And while i am still salty that charles martinet didnt voice mario and luigi, i did manage to get over crisp rats' bad voice acting.

It was dumb, but made me happy. Mario and luigi looked super cute! And bowser looked cool! It was like "There they are! My little guys on da big screen! My boys! The manlets"

There was also a little girl sat next to me, who kept excitedly "Wah-hooing" whenever mario did and it was just really adorable ;_;

anyways, Jing yuan was being super nice and caring the entire time. if you wanted a little teddy bear he'd buy it for you, etc. etc. if he caught you ogling at some cupcakes or sweets from the window he'd bring you inside and let you taste every one of them!

it was near afternoon now and you've already visited all the places you wanted to go.

you both go on a walk together while holding hands.. the sun is setting and.... oh this man is so pretty. you know it, we all know it. but even all the years of marriage nd being together you still couldn't get over how your hubby is so so pretty.

and guess what? he brings you to a small cafe, and it was full of cats.. and birds. >> you know whose the biggest bird n cat lover here

the last part of the date was so romantic. the staff was super welcoming and the tea tasted so good. it's like our first date all over again. you chuckled and Jing yuan laughed as well.

"we can consider this as our first date together as a married couple then" which funny enough truly is, because every other time it's the three of you together on a family trip.

when the date is over, and you and Jing yuan walk back. he holds your hand tightly with fingers intertwined. he makes sure he walks side by side because of the major size difference between you two.. and if he walks how he usually does you will probably have to run to catch up to him every step

when you arrive home, you will probably bring out a sandal to Jing yuan because he failed to tell qingque that you are going when you reminded him to atleast tell someone to send a message to her.

yanqing runss to you and you barely had time to react before Jing yuan picks the young boy up with his two large hands by the waist.

that would make yanqing superrr upset but he doesn't know who stole his favorite swords.. so he can't confront them abt it and then because you know who stole his lil swords so you secretly gave yanqing some allowance to buy more swords? jing yuan doesn't even know where all that money comes from keke

reminded by this small comic(?) where Jing yuan is disappointed at yanqing for buying new swords but you couldn't help but give him more money when he asks for it because he's tOO cute (( like even if I weren't related to him I'd do ANYTHING to make this baby smile like this aaa

a few sword buying trips later and jing yuan started noticing n he gets jealous~~ you're little hubby getting jealous of the son you both adore~~

so during this morning when you n your hubby wakes up together in bed, he asks "what are your plans for today?" today you are supposed to accompany yanqing to meet some officials! which is the job other people should be doing but you wanted to spend more time with your son.

"how about we go on a date today, just the two of us." he said. but wasn't he supposed to be at work today? "I'm sure the diviner would be willing to let me have a break once in a while" he was sure, but you weren't sure.

he stands up and reaches out for your hand, "it's been a long time since we've went out together"

you were tempted to go with him but you still had to meet up with qingque too right? you promised her that you wanted to learn mahjong from her.

and then you looked back up at his face— oh my.... yanqing??? the general of the cloud knights, looking at you with such puppy—

"uh... sure then" you shyly said, it's a once and a lifetime to see this face... you must treasure it in your brain for years to come even though you already have yanqing's puppy face in there too
