Billie wakes up with a start, heart pounding in her ears from the sudden wake up call. “What—?!” Her mouth is covered by a familiar hand, silencing her yell. “Mmhm?!” Eyes wide, she hones in on her twin’s face in the dark of their shared room. Save for the light flooding inside from the cracked open door, and their Spider-Man night light, it's pitch black.

“It's me!” Ramona whisper yells, front tooth still missing after she lost it in the playground. “Someone's downstairs. I think it's him!” Her eyes shine with excitement, curls bobbing up and down as she tries to contain her giddiness.

Billie yanks her sister's hand away, frowning at her from the sudden intrusion. “I was having a good dream, Mon.” Her look reminds Mona of her dad's exact expression when he has to mow the lawn again.

Mona ignores her sister's annoyance, “didn't you hear what I said? Santa's ‘ere! At our house!” She whisper yells again, this time loud enough for whoever's downstairs to pause their movements. Her eyes widened, hands covering her mouth to tamp down her excitement. “We should stay quiet—”

“Santa's ‘ere!” Billie is quieted once again by Mona's hands.

After waiting for a minute, the girls slowly and silently go outside of their room, matching holiday socks softly walking across the polished floorboards. Their pajamas are also on theme, with Mona opting for a pink sugar plum fairy matching set, and Billie wearing the classic Santa Clause set. Both that you've lovingly made for them. They're clearly excited, especially when it comes to the big bearded man in red. Billie more especially, after you and Hobie brought them to a local mall to see Santa and for them to give them their wishlist, she's been raving about wanting to stay up to catch him in the act. But after watching home alone and having a belly full of warm milk, she went out like a light. Mona on the other hand wants to see him eat the cookies you two prepared for Santa. It's her favourite, chocolate chips with marshmallows. She's hoping that the big man would like it, especially that she gave him the batch from her personal stash.

As they walk out of the hallway and into the floors of the second floor landing, they start to crawl once they see shadows dance along the walls of the living room. The tree that the four of you lovingly put up and decorated are twinkling with the holiday lights, reds, greens and yellows blinking in and out of the room.

“Do you think they'll like it?” They hear your familiar voice, whispering downstairs.

The girls make it to the stairs that overlook the living room, they make themselves smaller by lying prone on the cold floor, tiny hands grasping at the bannisters. Their eyes widen at the sight of who you are talking to.

Right next to you is the man of the hour himself, dressed in red with a giant sack of presents right next to him. He's taller than they've expected, and slimmer. Maybe Santa's cutting back on the cookies.

Billie grabs Mona's shoulder, shaking her excitedly. They wordlessly communicate through looks, based on their happy expressions, they feel like the luckiest kids in the world. They continue to watch Santa work his magic as he places wrapped presents underneath the tree with their names written on them.

“I know they'll love ‘em. ‘sides, Mona's been askin’ for it since July.” Santa replies to you, brown eyes shining in the string lights. His eyes seem to smile at you sitting in the corner of the room, hand occupied with a warm cup of eggnog. The bottom half of Santa's face is obscured by his big white beard, but he's clearly smiling softly at you. “And Bee always wanted that moon lamp ever since she saw Gwen's.”

Beaming at jolly Nick, you leave your cup on the coffee table to walk over to him. “I know, but what if they suddenly don't want those anymore.”

Santa stretches his hand out to you, beckoning you closer as he abandons the sack of presents on the floor. “Love,” love? The girls look at eachother with furrowed brows. Only their dad calls you that, and maybe occasionally that one shop owner downtown that you always buy fabrics from. “Y’know the girls would still be happy even if we gave them a potato each.”

You come to his side without saying anything about the close proximity to the actual Santa. The girls narrow their eyes at Santa's glove hand splayed across the small of your back, thumb rubbing gently across your soft pajama shirt. Only their dad gets to hold you like that.

Chuckling, you move to half hug him, arm wrapped around his back while you place your chin atop the soft red jacket. “Why a potato?”

“Because they go wild for chips.” He looks at you through gentle eyes, nudging his forehead on top of your own, the faux fur of his hat is soft against your skin.

“That's true, maybe we should've gotten them a whole sack of potatoes instead.” Your grin has the girls worried, especially when you move closer to him that the girls would know that it would have their dad burst into tears if they ever saw the scene in front of him.

“That's why ‘m santa, lovie.”

“Mm-hmm,” now you fully embrace him. The girls share a heavy look. “Why are you in full get up again? They won't be able to see you in this, not while they're snoring away all the cookies they had.”

“I know,” he shrugs, “what if they wake up, it'll be a nice memory for ‘em.” His arm squeezes you, hand dangerously close to your behind. The twins are both pissed, standing up from their place atop the stairs. “Or, ‘m all dressed up for you, love.” Santa winks at you, and you giggle in his arms. “Give big red a kiss, yeah?” As he leans in, the twins run downstairs swiftly, yelling and screaming at him to let their mum go.

“What— girls!” You move away, arms trying to block their attacks from hitting Santa.

“Not our mum!” Billie makes it to him first, clinging herself on his leg, trying to bite him through his red pants.

“We trusted you, Santa!” Mona leaps to punch at his stomach, earning a pained groan from the bearded man.

“Mona, no!” You grab her by the armpits as she continues to flail around, trying to get another hit. Good thing you’ve gotten to her before she aimed at his crotch. “Baby, no, that's—!” You contemplate telling them the truth, but Hobie's subtle head shake has you clamping down and embracing Mona.

“Ow, fuc–fudge!” Hobie hops around the room, trying to wiggle free of Billie, who's still clutching at his leg. “Billie, stop!” The one time that his spidey senses failed him.

“I don't care if ‘m on the naughty list! You tried to kiss our mum!” She chomps down on his leg, and he yelps when her baby teeth sink into the fabric and into his leg.

Hobie has no choice but to grab Billie the same way you did with Mona. He holds her in front of him, an arm's length away, still trying to take a chunk out of him. He feels like he ruined the magic of Santa for them. Not to mention the song.

“Stop–!” Hobie holds out his hand to her to tell her that he means no harm, but she tries to bite at his finger. “Billie—!”

“Daddy!” Ramona screams out, voice echoing and rumbling the house. “Daddy, there's an– an impruder!”

You would've chuckled at her fumbled pronunciation of intruder and told her the right way to say it, but when she's on the verge of tears; the both of them are, you have to think of a solution.

“Daddy!” Billie joins in, now fully sobbing. “H–He kissed mummy!”

“I haven't! Not yet!” Hobie tries to defend himself, or Santa for that matter. But it makes the whole thing so much worse when Billie wiggles herself out of his grasp to run towards yours and Hobie's bedroom while crying for him. “Shi—!”

You meet with his eyes while embracing a crying Mona. Mouthing a ‘Go!’ He immediately knows what you're up to. Your synergy levels with him are off the charts.

He leaves through the window, snow crunching underneath him and almost freezing him in the spot. He slowly rips off the Santa outfit one by one whilst he makes his way towards the back of the house. Shedding the beard and tossing it haphazardly in the backyard, he crawls on the wall, finally making it to the bedroom window just as when Billie opens the door with a loud creak.

Feigning naiveté, he acts shocked at her weeping as he opens his arms to her. “What happened?” She sobs on his sleep shirt, drenching it with tears. As Hobie pats her back, he realises that he's still wearing the gloves which he promptly throws away and under the bed before she could see it. “C’mon, mac, tell dad.” He cups her wet cheeks, trying to calm his little girl down.

“I saw mummy kissing Santa Claus!”

Hearing Mona's cry in the doorway with you carrying her, he knows that you two have a long night ahead of you.

“Are you sure you want to change pajamas, Billie? You said it's your favourite. The red suits you—” You try to placate her with a plate of chocolate pancakes.

“Yes.” She says so surely with her arms crossed over her chest, still fuming. “I hate Santa.”

Hobie's sitting right next to Mona, hand rubbing along her back whilst she stares angrily at the empty plate of cookies she left for Santa sitting on the counter. “Me too.” She huffs, stabbing her pancakes with a fork.

You share a look with Hobie, hoping that he has any idea how to calm them down. Hugging Billie seems to tamp down her anger, but she still looks at you with furrowed brows after you've apologized profusely.

“Why did you kiss, Santa?” She asked a few hours ago, stomping her little foot down on your bedroom floor, while her sister followed her lead.

“I didn't!” You stared at Hobie right next to you on the bed, looking like he's about to burst into laughter but is keeping it in. “And I wasn't gonna!”

After that whole ordeal, they seem to simmer down to a silent anger that still reverberates through the house. Maybe opening the presents earlier would make them forget it and make them smile.

“We should make signs, Bee! Like what dad makes so Santa knows not to come back ‘ere!” Mona lights up, you finally got a smile out of her.

“That's brilliant!” Hobie plays along, and Billie agrees with rapid nodding that you had to stop with your hand on her forehead before she breaks something. “I'll get my supplies, you two go finish your pancakes, yeah?” Just as he says it, they scarf down the pancakes, prompting Hobie to grab your hand and speed walk away from the kitchen.

Once the two of you are out of earshot and their sights, he corners you against a wall, hands cradling your cheeks, and sighing as he relaxes atop you.

You laugh against his hair, pressing lazy kisses on his hairline. “Don't forget to grab the outfit outside, Hobie. I made that to tailor you and you only.”

He lifts his head up from your chest, cheeks puffed out from sleepiness. Blowing out air, you giggle at him as he flutters your lashes. “I know, love.” His eyes roam all over your face, looking at every curve and dip until he stops at your lips. “I still haven't gotten my answer.”

“Or what? You'll put me on the naughty list?”

Hobie leans closer, lips brushing along your waiting lips. “Lovie, you're on my list every year.”

“I hope I'm the only one on it.” You say, wordlessly inviting him for a kiss by pecking his jaw softly.

“You and you only.” With a chuckle atop your lips, he kisses you under the mistletoe he subtly put up with the sole purpose of kissing you underneath it.

Ooo! This one is actually hard because I do enjoy food so much 😁😁🤣 And while I would love to make a chinese chicken noodle soup for Pero if he were to be sick, or simmer a hearty stew for Tim to come home to after a long shift, I think I'm going to go with:

Lasagna for Javi P.

Do I think Javi's favourite food is lasagna? Not really - he probably likes it just fine, and will always eat second helpings, but no, it's not his fave.

Is my lasagna superior? I mean, it's good I think? But it's not Michelin star or anything 🤣🤣

But you know what it is? It's easy to make a big batch of - when you make lasagna, you can make multiple, and lasagna is super easy to portion out and freeze. So when I make lasagna for Javi, I make at least one extra tray that we bring over to Chucho's. Then Javi has the peace of mind that his pops has food in the freezer/an easy meal to heat up after a long day at the ranch; he worries about his father a lot because he is a good son 😩. Whenever Javi sees that I've made lasagna, he immediately relaxes some of the tension he holds in his broad shoulders, because he knows his dad will be taken care of too. Taking some of the worry off Javi's shoulders is worth all the extra cooking 🥹

"I don't like shaming people," Bellara says, from her perch on the counter, "but I do think you should be at least a little embarrassed about not being able to cook even a little bit!"

Cara blew a raspberry. "Why would I have had to cook?" she retorted. "We had servants, and then, when I was shipside, I was more use on deck than shut up in the galley." She narrowed her eyes at Lucanis, who had, treacherously, allied with Bellara in this argument. "If you think about it, it's weirder that you know how to cook. I've seen the villa you grew up in - I know you had servants."

"Servants," Lucanis agreed, "not cooks. The Crow who can't cook for himself starves or is poisoned very quickly."

"Besides," Bellara said, brightly, "you might enjoy it."

"Slaving away over a hot stove?" She wrinkled her nose. "I doubt it. Besides, do you really want to risk eating whatever I cook?"

"You've survived my cooking, and that has killed men before," Lucanis retorted.

"And we all got through Neve's attempt at deep-frying fish!" Bellara added.

"Barely. My eyebrows are still growing back." Cara sighed, surveying the ingredients laid out on the counter. "You're really not going to let me talk my way out of this, are you?"

"Nope!" Bellara said, and Lucanis added: "Unless, of course, you think you are unteachable."

She knew she was being baited, and that it was working, so she huffed and folded her arms. "Where do we start, then?"

Bellara and Lucanis exchanged a victorious glance, and she briefly imagined pulling a Neve to convince them that letting her in the kitchen was a horrible idea, but she'd already accepted the bet.

"Bread dough," Bellara decided. "Bread is always fun."

Bread was, it turned out, sticky and unpleasant, even without Bellara's helpful commentary of No, you have to knead it like you're really mad at it, like it's that ex who took your favourite novels in the breakup.

"Can I knead it like it's the madwoman forcing me to learn to cook?" she muttered, under her breath, and Lucanis- no, Spite- sniggered, which was a little comforting.

"Try like this," he offered, covering her hands with his own - callused, exerting a gentle pressure to manipulate her own fingers, like he was teaching her the precise movements required to pick a lock or cast a spell. "It requires a little more force than you're using - yes, like that, excellent."

Cara knew that vanity was one of her many besetting sins, but she still couldn't help preening when, for dinner that night, they served up the flatbreads she'd kneaded herself, and they were as light and fluffy as Bellara's ever were.

(Later, she'd discover that her dough had turned out like rubber, and that they'd made a second batch fresh, but the praise she got for the first batch was at least enough to stop her complaining the next time she was added to the cooking rota.)

I wouldn't say these are my ultimate favourite lines of dialogue but some that come to mind when trying to answer the question… but I still had to choose just one quote/snippet among them 😭

1. Lawrence Gonzalez, from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

"Hey!" He shouted at Lawrence, engaging in awkward conversation. "Where-uh... are you heading? We... we've got a few questions for you, you mind answering 'em?"

The whole thing would have looked a lot more compelling if he'd lowered his gun, and the ever-present threat of the canon urged Lawrence to keep silent and his own Colt trained on him.

"Is there somebody else with you, here ?"

"Listen, my friend," Lawrence drawled. "I'm all about meetin' new folks around, chattin' at gunpoint an' all but, ain't a good time right now..."

He took a few careful steps back towards his horse, still not lowering his Colt.

… Just one for Lawrence!?! Rude!!

2. Armistice, from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

Armistice turned away from her and wandered into the room's central space, looking around as if searching for the speakers set high into the concrete walls. Vivian watched her shoulders relax, her step lighten, and what she had at first thought to be the haze of surprise were nothing more than shuffling dance steps. The music matched the shift in Armistice's behaviour.

"It's... it's as if I can see the notes floating in the air!" She reached out in front of her with shy, trembling fingers. "All around..."

Even her speech was lighter, softer. Vivian was far from imagining she'd trigger such a strong response from her, but she took a slow breath, touched as much as relieved.

3. Maeve Millay, from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

Maeve's facial expression twitched slightly in frustration.

"I don't recall having seen you here. Not these days, not ever for that matter."

"You weren't part of my batch," Vivian answered flatly. "And yes, I was in the park."

"Enjoying some killing and fucking, I presume? One has to blow some steam, isn't it. Until everything blows in your face."

Vivian hardly unclenched her teeth to word out:

"You presume wrong, then."

Maeve scoffed, openly disdainful.

"Maeve..." Bernard stepped in, quieting what he might have guessed to be a brewing conflict. "Vivian was in the park because Ford intended for her to die at the gala with everyone else..."

"Is that supposed to make me feel sympathetic?"

4. Peter "The Professor" Abernathy, from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

"Free!" shouted the one standing in front of the map — Peter — as Lawrence, Bernard and Armistice approached. "Free, she is!" He glared at Armistice. "We have scortch'd the snake, not kill'd it! She'll close and be herself, whilst our poor malice remains in danger of her former tooth."

Lawrence was puzzled; Ivy had told him a little about the man and his state, but it was still worrying. Armistice, as for her, made no reply to this tirade.

"Pray she keeps quiet…"

"Any news from Shard?"

Bernard's question eased him back to a more neutral look.

"No, not yet."

5. The Man In Black "Delos" (VS Vivian), from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

She let out another sigh, calmer, but it got cut short by a gasp of surprise when a clatter of items dropped on the table in front of her and made her bring her arms back to her chest in a defensive gesture. Delos was standing right there and had just covered the table — and the maze — with a bunch of medical supplies. Medical supplies she recognized very well.

"You went through my saddlebags?!"

"Yeah," Delos retorted with an uncomfortable groan as he sat down. "Sue me…"

6. Hector Escaton, from Journey Into Night [ Westworld ]

Hector stepped into the changing room, two of the samurais holding the doors open for him. His eyebrows raised at Vivian's gun barrel pointed at him.

"You don’t know how this place works yet, do you, my friend?"

And, ignoring Vivian and the threat of her revolver, he faced Lawrence.

"Those are empty" he stated, as cynical as he was playful.

Vivian cocked the hammer. "Mine isn’t…"

"And what will you do, shoot me? And after that?"

The remark ruffled her feathers a little; not because of the teasing tone, but rather because she had indeed no idea what she was going to do. She'd only been caught off guard while she was finally easing up a bit and, these days, Vivian didn't like surprises.

"Hector, please…"

"Don’t waste your breathe on me, I’m only a messenger! So, if you aren’t planning on emptying your barrel on me just yet, I’ve been sent to ask you to follow me. Without a fight, if you can do that."

7. young Din Djarin, from Part 2, The Foundlings [ The Mandalorian ]

The young boy was sleeping, or seemed to be, when Din got close enough to see him clearly, his eyes well adjusted to the darkness of the room. He sat on the cold floor, shivering to feel the heat of his bed escape him but he tried to ignore it when Grinn whimpered again.

Din pulled the thick blankets on the boy’s back and gently squeezed his shoulder. Grinn didn’t wake up at his touch, nor moved, stifling another sob. Din struggled against the pain that was tightening his throat, swallowing hard.

“Sshh…”

The sound coming from his own mouth felt strange, unknown, new.

“It-it’s alright,” he heard himself breathe quietly. “You’re safe now.”

I, too, have no idea how to formulate any thoughts on this because every time I think about Ep 12 my brain just goes AAAAHHHH

So coherent thoughts have kind of gone out out of the window. What interests me is the title because it's so vague. The Outpost? There are so many outposts in Star Wars!

There's a scene in the trailer where Crosshair appears to be sniping from a tower? (not sure because it's a close up of him) and he says "good soldiers follow orders". I don't necessarily think he's actually saying it in that moment because they like pulling in dialogue from other scenes, but I'm guessing that shot will turn up.

Past that... I have no clue.

The mysterious clone has me very intrigued! The fact that DBB said that it was his favourite new clone suggests that they're gonna be significant. Are they gonna be pro-Empire or anti-Empire? Are they gonna be a bad influence on Cross or a good one? Are they gonna be Howzer-ed or Wilco-ed or something else??? I need answers!

I think we're gonna have some interesting stuff over the next few episodes with Crosshair deciding what to do, seeing as the clones are going to be phased out. We know that he's terrified of not being in control of what happens to him and being forced out of the Empire is not exactly his own decision. At some point, he's going to have to accept that he can't control every aspect of his life and that sometimes he needs people there to help him (like the Batch).

And what about the Clone X stuff? The Empire may be phasing the clones out but I doubt they're gonna give up on that project. I assume that their go-to test subjects will be clones they've imprisoned (*starts panicking about Howzer again*) but what if they try it with Crosshair as well? Who better than an extremely competent sniper like Cross? Especially since they're going to be after Omega. If they can wipe Crosshair's programming or whatever they did, then he's the perfect candidate to send after the Batch.

And maybe that could cause Crosshair to leave? He's petrified of losing control so being at risk of brainwashing could he something that kicks his ass into gear a bit. Because he can't do what he's doing now, which is arguing that he chose this and that he wasn't forced into it. If they wiped his programming then Crosshair wouldn't exist. He'd just be a shell of his old self. And if his fear of losing control was strong enough for him to leave his brothers then it could sure as hell be strong enough for him to go back to them and admit he made a mistake.

I didn't expect to write this much but this suddenly all came to me as I was typing this response so there you go! Those are my random, in-the-moment thoughts on the whole thing!

But I'm also with @phis-writing on Pabu! That's even more vague than The Outpost! I'm guessing it's a place (but it could also be a character) but what significance does it have??? People who got the previews have been saying that everyone's really gonna want to watch the rest of this show because it ramps up so I doubt it's gonna be filler. But I have absolutely nothing to go on!

I have my suspicions that we'll go back to the Batch (with Crosshair turning up here or there because I could've sworn someone said that Cross appears in some way in every ep past 12 but I'm not 100% on that so don't take it as fact). But if it is with the Batch then question is, is Pabu somewhere they go alone or do they go with Echo and/or Rex? Does something happen involving Cid? Because I'm not convinced she's gonna be out of the picture just yet.

I'm just pulling things out of thin air here because I don't know where this show is going. 😅 However, I do know that it's not going to be good (in an "oh no this is traumatic" way, not a "this show is shit" way).

This is more than I expected to write so do with this what you will! 🤣

I'm just very stressed about what's going to happen to everyone because I don't think they're going to he having a fun beach day...

Ok had a long car ride so guess what EP11 THOUGHTS LETS GOOOO:

Couple little things first, starting with WHY DID I HAVE TO SEE NALA SE AGAIN. I mean I knew logically we would see her again but that doesn’t mean I was ready for it >:( i do not forgive u for fives u cruel cruel long lady

Then the batch telling Cid off!!! Slay!! Absolutely slay get it that is so important, especially that Omega was directly calling her out for leaving them stranded. I’m really interested to see where that storyline goes and if they either end up leaving Cid (and probably adding to Omegas trust issues in the process cause WOW everyone is letting her down these days (echo i love u but ur girl is not ok)), or if they stay with her and she gets some sort of redemption arc? Idk, can’t decide which seems more likely, but all I can say is I hope next episode has absolutely nothing to do with it. Like it’s an interesting storyline but… yeahh…

And oh god, the boys walking around the ship, why was Wrecker the only one being smart??? Like Tech just ran off on his own, knowing full well the creature was most likely still on the ship, Hunter had his just mwah chefs kiss line of “Whatever did this wasn’t human,” like… HMMM HUNTER I HADNT NOTICED (“And where there’s a farm, there’s usually a farmer!”) But Wrecker was actually paying attention!! He picked up the volt-staff (which like yeah he was gonna anyways but it was still smart) and he made note of the walls being reinforced meaning whatever they were holding must be something strong. And later in the episode he sees the Empire snag the zillo beast and he takes note of how “They’re not killing it. They’re taking it.” Like I love those little moments where Wrecker just passively shows off how smart he is?? He plays the big goofy guy since it’s just kinda his personality, but he still knows his stuff. Hell, he made a rocket launcher out of parts from a separatist tank in less than a minute while under fire from the enemy?? And it worked perfectly? And repeatedly??? Anyway Wrecker spiel over but the man is a genius and I love him.

Tech and Omega’s moments in this episode, oh i lOVE THEM. Him messing up and scaring her then kinda not knowing how to fix it, Omega unplugging his datapad to make him get going, Tech immediately covering her while they ran from explosion omG I LOVE THEM. I LOVE THEM SO MUCH they are so wonderful and sweet and perfect and Filoni I swEAR YOU BETTER NOT TOUCH THEM (I feel like they’re safe for the most part but still, I do not trust. (like of all of them I think Hunter, Omega and Wrecker are the safest? They kinda can’t be taken out; you need the leader, you can’t lose the kid, and Wrecker is pretty much the majority of the comic relief. And Tech is safe-ish too cause he’s just such a character type that I feel like you can’t get rid of him. But uh… Echo and Cross are not safe. They are very much so in danger, maybe Echo most of all and oh god I am scared for him. And also Cody if he ever comes back. …where is cody..?))

OK and now for bigger things like oMG ECHO AND REX HOLY SHIBSJSBSJBSKZNZKDNOEBEKSNSKLSMSNSJXLDNSKNSKS YES YES ABSOLUTELY CALL ECHO AND REX I NEED TO SEE THEMMMMMM!!! The way Hunter did his little main character moment slow zoom when he said that? There’s absolutely no way that’s not important to this weeks episode or at least the one after that so AAAAAA I AM SO EXCITEDDDDD. The batch has needed Echo so much in every single episode since he left; Tech going off on his own in this one felt so wrong because Echo should’ve been right there with himmm!! (i mean he should 100% be with rex but like you get what i mean)

And at the end when Lama Su mentions kidnapping Omega again? That feels equally important. Not only is the Empire going to have to admit that Clone Force 99 isn’t dead, but they’re going to have to start hunting them down again to get Omega. And to me, I wouldn’t be surprised if we saw Crosshair being ordered to hunt Omega down in particular, since he knows the batch so well and would know best how to snatch Omega from them. (Also like story-wise… who else would it be? …Boba?) Now would that be so incredibly painful and awful to see? Yes, yes it would. Am I still incredibly excited to see it? ALSO YES.

And with both of these things, the Echo and Rex mention and a target on Omega, as well as the fact that this next episode is (i’m pretty sure?) confirmed to have Crosshair in it, I’m really really hoping the episode follows either of them (Cross or Rex and Echo) and their paths end up crossing?? Like maybe Crosshair gets his orders to hunt down Omega, and in trying to track the batch he ends up finding a lead on just Echo? Or maybe it follows Rex and Echo looking into the zillo beast and in trying to find out more they run into Crosshair? And maybe they find out abt Cody??? And anD AND OOO maybe Echo has a moment where he finally decides, fuck it, I can’t leave my brother with the empire any longer and he like tries to reason with Cross? Idk but either way I am REALLY hoping they cross paths somehow plEASE ITS BEEN SO LONG SINCE IVE SEEN EITHER OF THEMMM 😭😭😭

Hunter and Echo were transporting nuggets?! 🤣

Wrecker playing strategy games with Omega is adorable. Love how they're showing just how smart Wrecker really is this season.

Tech seems to be questioning working for Cid. Might join Echo's mindset of joining the Rebellion? 🤔

I can just imagine Hunter and Echo coming back only to find out that Tech had taken part in some ridiculously dangerous riot racing not long after a broken leg.

Final thoughts

OMG I LOVED THIS EPISODE!!!

Was it filler? Pretty much. Do I care? Absolutely not. Having something more fun was a nice break after last episode. Sure, I still think ep 3 is the best, but this was a nice chill one (if slightly stressful at times). Happy to see more of these three interacting because I love them so much. 🥰

Definitely made me laugh a lot and the soundtrack slapped. Enjoying feeling very happy rather than miserable after watching it. 😄

There seems to be a growing uncertainty among the Batch as to where they want to be. I think there's a possibility that Tech might start to align with Echo's way of thinking a bit more and decide that the Rebellion might be a better idea than sticking with Cid.

But we'll see. This episode was a nice respite from the rest of the show but I'm looking forward to what is going to come. 🥰

Also, two whole episodes without Echo??? I'ma definitely need my boi back next ep. 😭

💀BAD BATCH WEEK: DAY 2💀

I had to create something new for this one 💜 the prompt today was "favourite dynamic" so...I had to draw Tech again 🤣

Let it be known I am highly fixated on the dynamics between ALL the batch. I love them all so much and their relationships with each other. But I really love both Tech and Echo's dynamic with Omega the most, probably because they're my three favourites. Their dynamics (especially Tech & Omega) are more in the background but I still love them, and I love spotting the little unspoken moments! I find their relationship so sweet, perhaps not quite as obviously warm and emotional as Omega with someone like Hunter or Wrecker, but Tech sees her as capable and is always teaching her things, and she's always helping him out! That, and I think she's the only one who truly listens to his info dumping, and I think he appreciates that 🥰 she would definitely be asking him all kinds of questions all the time (like tookas, I'm sure Tech would tell her that Lula is based on a tooka!) I hope to get more Tech and Omega moments in the next season!

Also...I really love drawing Tech with curly hair, and inspired by his lil punk rocker style he had after getting his chip removed 😁

I'm back to work tomorrow so not sure how many more days I can do, but I'll certainly try!

Even though they were all in competition with one another, when it comes down to it, the kids actually do all care about each other. That's sweet.

TECH AND OMEGA THIS SEASON ARE GIVING ME SO MANY FEELS!!!

Was hoping the Echo and Crosshair convo would carry on this episode but oh well.

Also, we never saw Tech and Wrecker apologise to each other. 🥲

Overall feeling about this episode is that I think it might be one of my least favourites of the season. I didn't dislike it but with how good the others have been, this episode didn't stand out a whole lot to me.

There were specific moments that I absolutely love though! Wholesome Batch moments just hit me right in the feels. 🥲

And Wrecker's "I'm working on it" reminded me of Echo in Season 1. 😭 I still miss that man.

Weirdly, I don't feel like I have much to say about this episode right now. There's some more stuff delving into the idea of kids not being able to just be kids in this galaxy, so I'm happy they're continuing on that narrative. I maybe would've liked to have seen a little bit more from the other miners? I don't know.

Normally when I watch an episode, one or two particular things sticks out to me as something I want to talk about more but I didn't really get that much from this episode. Think I may just have to sit on it for a few days and see what comes to mind.

Still liked the episode, but I definitely think that the first half of this two-parter was much stronger. Very excited to see what Metamorphosis is going to be about though! My hope is to see Echo and Rex again, but that's more wishful thinking than me believing it's actually going to happen. 😅

Edit: This was supposedly a breather episode, so that may explain why it fell a little flat for me. I think I got really hooked up in the more high-stakes episodes and that swayed my judgement on this one. 🤔

WRECKER POSTER

Wrecker's look is probably the most simplistic, but I like it. Not as much orange as the other guys, but I do like the central stripe.

Don't get a helmetless shot like with the other 4. ☹️ And I miss the 99 on the helmet.

But I've always loved Wrecker's helmet design. It's very him. 😁

Like the green, and while yellow is one of my least favourite colours, I do love the way it's been used to accent the shape of the armour. 💛

Not much colour going on around the legs though. 🤔

And why is it when I point out how everyone is in the same pose that they're in on the S2 poster that the Tech and Wrecker pics drop just to prove me wrong? 🙄🤣

We've got the whole Batch now!!! S2 is so close!
