To address the menstruation gap in our understanding, the team took MRI scans of their subjects during three menstrual phases: menses, ovulation, and mid-luteal. At the time of each of these scans, the researchers also measured the participants’ hormone levels.
The results showed that, as hormones fluctuate, gray and white matter volumes change too, as does the volume of cerebrospinal fluid.
What this means for the person driving the brain is unknown, but the research lays the groundwork for future studies, and perhaps understanding the causes of unusual but severe period-related mental health problems.

Ok so for about a good two-three months now I had a post in my drafts about how I realized I ship Powser, and long story short I started comparing Bowser to what I think to be how most villains in media interact with their damsel in distress if they express “love” for them. Issue is, I don’t have nearly enough knowledge/examples on this topic to know how truthful this comparison is, but said comparison is also the main thing tying this post together. So when thinking of ways to remove this element while still having all the same info in this post, I kind of came up short. Plus, I like the way the post is structured as is.
In other words, here’s the post as I originally wrote it, but be aware that the comparison is probably very flawed. Maybe there’s some truth to it, probably not. In any case, just focus on the Powser side of it, the villain comparison is just there for the structure. Enjoy! (long post ahead, a bit over 3k words)
So I recently realized that I really like Powser which I did NOT expect given I’m usually much more of a “friends to lovers” type of person, and trying to understand why I like it led me to think about how villains tend to be presented in their relationship with the “damsel in distress”, and it’s actually very interesting when you compare it to Bowser.
TL;DR: Unlike most villains who showcase sexual attraction (I think?), Bowser is shown to be romantically attracted to Peach. And while his actions are still very much shitty and should be seen as such, man is he adorable sometimes ! Plus, the way his feelings are shown to be genuine makes him look better than most villains, whose “love” for their victim is portrayed as """creepy lust""" by their medias.
(Obviously there is absolutely nothing inherently wrong with sexual attraction. I’m talking in the context of medias that sometimes tend to vilify it, especially when it comes to the antagonists, hence the language used in this post.)
So the first thing that came in mind while thinking of other villains was Dis//ney’s Alad//din (the 90s/animated one) and how Jaf/ar treats Jasm/ine at the end of the movie, more specifically when he wishes for her to fall in love with him and she ends up pretending to be as a distraction.
Thing is, Jasm/ine doesn’t act like she’s in love with Jaf/ar, she acts like she’s thirsting for him, and the way Jaf/ar reacts shows that this is pretty much what he had in mind when saying he wants her to love him. This isn’t love, it’s lust.
Now, I can’t say I’m someone who watches a lot of movies, especially not live-actions ones, so take what I’m about to say with a huge grain of salt. Basically, I kinda feel like what we see in Alad/din is the norm when it comes to villain/victim relationships? Like you have those antagonists who want the damsel in distress to be horny for them, who don’t see those women as people and don’t give a shit about them, only keeping them to get what they want out of them and having no issue discarding them afterwards if they get bored with those poor girls.
Btw that’s not to say that every single villain who kidnaps someone wants to sleep with them. But when it comes to villains who claim to love their victim, there does seem to be at least some sexual tension here, or at least some uncomfortable touches.
And then there’s Bowser. To give a few examples of what he does:
- In that one 1986 anime movie thing, he gets very soft around Peach, gushing about how he’s in love with her and wants to marry her, trying to cheer her up when she’s sad, and let’s not forget that “it’s more of a bracelet, shows that my love is bigger” line with the ring.
- In the mainline “platformers” games, you have “Mario Sunshine” in which Bowser wants his son to have a mother, and “Mario Odyssey” in which he tries to marry Peach, going around the world gathering all the absolute best things for the wedding. There’s also the New Bros U intro with Bowser gently moving Peach’s chair, making sure she doesn’t get hurt by his attack, showing he doesn’t want to hurt her.
- Not sure exactly if this counts as this could be a form of objectification, but you know that cliché of villains getting that all-powerful thing they wanted and immediately betraying/discarding all the people they worked with and/or claimed to love? Well, in the Galaxy games, Bowser gets the power to create a whole new universe, and yet still takes the time to capture Peach, claiming in the first game that he wants her to rule along with him. Again, this could be a form of objectification, especially when looking at his dialogue in the intro of the second game, but it’s still interesting how Bowser doesn’t really fall on that trope, still having his army and Junior on top of Peach (btw the intro of Galaxy 2 is very funny on that front because Bowser literally has enormous powers and yet still makes a detour for Peach, thus causing Mario to be on his tail. Like, let her go dude, she’s not that into you. You got all the powers of the universe, who cares about that one specific woman when you could have literally anybody else?).
- In the first Paper Mario game, Bowser tells Peach that he would fulfill her wishes if she wants (as long as he likes them) and gushes in his diary about how he hopes Peach likes him. And in Thousand Years Doors, he keeps trying to look for her upon hearing she got kidnapped.
- In Super Paper Mario, he gets overjoyed about the wedding but still immediately shows worry for Peach when Nastasia uses her mind control on her, and in general Bowser spends the game clearly loving being able to call Peach his wife, and joins the team again in 7-2 out of concern for her safety. Same with 8-1 where for all he knows he’s about to die and yet his main concern is her safety, to the point where he's willing to ask Mario to protect her for him. His priority is not being with Peach, instead it's Peach being safe.
- In Color Splash, the first thing he does when first getting back to himself during the fight is ask if Mario brought Peach with him.
- In Origami King, he doesn’t want her to see him as a wet floor sign and later asks Olly if Peach is safe and comfortable, which as I’ve seen pointed out implies that him capturing Peach is mostly a forced vacation/sleepover until Mario arrives and she’s put on the spot for show.
(- In general Paper Bowser is a huge hopeless romantic, at least from what I’ve seen of him.)
- In Superstar Saga he helps Mario and Luigi reach the Bean Kingdom for Peach’s sake. Then in Bowser’s Inside Story his most beloved and protected memories are his memories of Peach + he makes saving her his priority towards the end. And in Dream Team, he hears a rumor that Peach might have gotten kidnaped and immediately flies all the way to Pi’illo Island to find her.
- You cannot convince me that his car in Mario 3D World wasn’t an attempt to impress Peach, given this is one of the only two games (three with Wonder) where you play as her and face against him. /hj
- In that one old comic people kept bringing up after the movie came out, Bowser spends a lot of time gushing about marrying Peach. Also despite Peach being very temperamental in this comic, I don’t think Bowser once tries to hurt her? Obviously you have the Magikoopa brainwashing her at the end which is fucked up but outside of that does Bowser ever get angry or menacing when it comes to her?
- In general, outside of the games where Peach is playable and the intro of Inside Story (which comes off as OOC for Bowser tbh, I get him being pissed off but him trying to burn Peach is just really off), do we ever get to see Bowser raise a hand on her and/or try to physically hurt her? Same for his anger, how often do we get to see him raise his voice on her? And no the sports and party games don’t count since everyone is doing the same thing to everyone else in those, and in the party games it'd be unfair if playing that one character led to Bowser going easy on the player.
Now I might be missing some more moments, especially since I’m far from the most knowledgeable on the sport/party games and some RPGs (slowly making my way through them), but there’s one thing that is very obvious: while most villains express sexual attraction for the damsel in distress, Bowser expresses romantic attraction.
Bowser genuinely cares for Peach. She’s one of his most precious memories. In Super Paper, he snaps out of the joy of getting married when Peach is getting brainwashed, showing how much he values her safety. He absolutely adores her and isn’t afraid to express it, especially Paper Bowser.
Those two instances (Inside story and Super Paper) especially really seem to lean into how much Bowser loves Peach. In Inside Story, the fact that she’s his most well-preserved memory shows just how much he values the little time he spends with her and how important she is to him, not as some pretty face but as a person he genuinely wants to create more memories with. And in Super Paper, Bleck is giving him the one thing he’s always wanted, and yet he still shows some reticence when Nastasia uses her mind control, making it look like Peach being safe and sound is more important to him than them being a couple. Idk, those two moments just really get to me when you think about it this way.
(Btw in Super Paper I adore that Peach hesitates to leave him in 8-1 because, while we know Peach is incredibly kind so of course she’d be worried for a teammate, for once it feels like Bowser actually earned it. He spends the whole game being caring towards Peach, and wouldn’t you know, being nice and respectful to someone actually makes them care for you! I swear the Powser potential from this game is unmatched!)
When most villains say “I want this woman to love me”, they usually mean “I want this woman to obey and submit to my every want”. When Bowser says “I want Peach to love me”, he means “I want to be able to wake up everyday by her side, make her smile and laugh and be happy, see her be a mother to my kid(s), learn more about her and spend as much time with her as I can”. Bowser isn’t trying to marry Peach because he wants to “own” her, he wants to marry her because he quite literally wants to spend the rest of his life by her side.
Now that’s not to say that Bowser doesn’t feel any form of sexual attraction. But since Mario is such a kids-friendly franchise, the focus is much more on his romantic feelings. Also, I'll admit, whether Bowser is in love with Peach or with the idea of Peach is up for debate.
I think that’s the main reason why so many people are quick to call Bowser sweet/adorable when seeing the way he talks about Peach. Because the thing is, Bowser is still being a complete asshole here. He’s constantly kidnapping her, putting her in a cage on several occasions, forced her to marry him like 6 different times, very often disregards her body autonomy by grabbing her (+ the kidnappings), terrorizes and sometimes even tortures/kills her people, and his phone pic in the parental controls video + the picture frames in Nintendo World make him look like a creep. Despite his feelings for her, there’s definitely a level of objectification here that should not be ignored.
Hell, I didn’t mention the 2023 movie on the list because I’d argue he was more obsessed rather than in love. Plus the scene where he proposes to her low-key feels like the very first time they meet, making his previous actions creepier (or at the very least they barely know each other, heck Peach didn’t even know Bowser likes her!). And he’s quick to use blackmail and violence against her, especially in the end. The wedding cake toppers also show he cares more about himself than Peach and sees her as an object rather than a person.
(I actually take back what I said in my movie reaction post about Bowser being like the one from Super Paper. He might be goofy when showing his softer side, which was what I was focused on when comparing the two, but he’s also clearly not as genuine and sweet as Paper Bowser. The way he mistreats his army and especially Kamek in the movie is also different from most games, most notably the RPGs since that’s when we see him interact with his people and he’s a relatively good king to them.)
Compare 2023 Movie Bowser to the 1986 movie in which he tries to get Peach involved in the wedding preparations, tries to cheer her up, never gets angry at her despite how much she’s resisting him and never once raises his hand on her. Even when she outsmarts him by making him shapeshift, he’s amused by her attempt. Literally the worse he does in this movie is grab her against her will on many occasions (and obviously the kidnaping and forced marriage, that goes without saying).
Going back on topic, despite Bowser being very much horrible in the way he approaches Peach, since every other villain out there is lusting after the woman they capture, making them appear creepy/predatory, Bowser comes off as an angel in comparison. He’s one of those rare cases of a villain who is truly sincere about his feelings for the woman he captures, and since we see other occasions of him being a sweetheart (with Junior) and a dumbass (the RPG series), he becomes an incredibly endearing character. So his feelings for Peach come off as adorable despite the bad elements because we’re aware he has a soft side so we know he’s truly sincere. Him being sometimes more of an antihero in the RPGs + his inclusion in sports games and the like probably also help seeing him in that good light.
(Also yes I’m very much aware that there’s a huge issue when it comes to how fandoms perceive female characters, and I will absolutely believe you if you tell me this is one of the reasons why you have people who talk shit about Peach so much all while defending Bowser’s actions, especially since his feelings for Peach are so rooted into his character. Oh and obviously you have the people horny for Bowser who love his softer/romantic side and value the moments where he displays this part of himself, that goes without saying.)
I’m especially surprised by the 1986 movie showing such a characterization of him, considering it came out 1-2 years after the very first Super Mario game (aka Bowser’s first appearance, at least I think?). Like imagine making a movie about those characters and going “hey you know the giant turtle monster we fight in this game? What if he was a huge lovable dork who just wanted some love in his life?”. Tbh I adore that choice.
Overall, it’s just interesting to see how Bowser differs from other villains on that front. It’s very interesting to see a villain who does pretty terrible things to a girl all the while being genuine in his feelings for her, idk it’s a very cool contrast. I also like how “true love” tends to be a motivation for the heroes, seen as something good, so it’s fun to see stories where villains have that very same motivation without it being “““twisted””” with lust. And yes I know that last point applies to many more antagonists than just Bowser, and not just for feelings like love.
And a bit off-topic but I also really like how you can easily explain Bowser’s behavior here (not justifying it tho!!!). In the Yoshi Island games, we see he was raised as a spoiled brat who was always given what he wanted, made worse by him being a monarch. We even still see some of that behavior in his adult self, for example when he gets angry and starts stomping his foot like a kid throwing a tantrum.
As a result of his upbringing, Bowser likely just doesn’t know how to take a no. He’s used to always get what he wants, and take it by force if necessary. So when Peach refuses him, he does just that, incapable of understanding why she doesn’t want him.
The 86 movie is actually an excellent example of this. In two scenes (the one with Peach outsmarting him and the ring dialogue) we see Bowser getting worked up when Peach is upset, showing he genuinely wants her to be happy. But at the same time he’s incapable of realizing that he’s the reason why she’s so upset and the one thing he should do is let her go. The ring scene especially shows it very well. When Peach throws the ring and starts crying because she doesn’t want to get married, Bowser thinks she’s upset due to the ring being too big and immediately tries to soothe her by promising to get a better ring. Again, it’s kinda crazy how this movie was made when Bowser only existed for a single year and yet they already made him genuinely in love with Peach.
I’d also add that Bowser seems to have a pretty high opinion of himself, thinking he’s awesome and shit (or maybe he’s overcompensating, that seems like a possibility). As a result, it’s possible that his mentality on the situation is “Well I’m in love with her so surely she must love me! How could she not?”, making it even harder for him to comprehend why she doesn’t love him.
Again, it doesn’t justify his actions in the slightest but it’s still interesting how you can somewhat understand why he’s like this.
And as to why I ship Powser, honestly I still have no idea ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ I think it has to do with the storytelling potential of a unrequited love/it’s complicated/they have history situation in regards to their roles as monarchs, especially in the case of Peach whose character is brimming with untapped potential. I actually like to describe their relationship as “I hate the effect you have on my life but I couldn’t imagine a life without you in it” or “Our kingdoms are enemies for a good reason but if anything happened to you I’d rush in to save you without hesitation”. It's just that idea of them being ex-lovers who had a bad falling out and how Peach still cares about him to an extent and how their lives constantly intertwine with villains trying to take over their kingdoms + Bowser's kidnappings.
And since we’re talking Powser and since wondering whether they know each other or not in the movie got me to question how we can tell they know each other in the games: the best way I could describe their relationship in the games is familiar/”comfortable”, like you have the way Peach tries to convince Bowser to join the group in Super Paper, the way she talks about him in general in the Mario and Luigi games, or stuff like most cutscenes in Odyssey where she never seems afraid of Bowser.
I’ve also seen that Switch Tennis game with the evil racket and how Peach is the one who tries to get through to Bowser when he steals it, straight up saying “listen to me” which makes it seem like she knows she’s the one person who could get him to stop, or you have the first Rabbids game where she comments on how “Junior is sometimes even worse than his father”, plus the way she looks like a mother about to reprimand her child in the cutscene where Jr learns Bowser is coming home (which I find hilarious; lady that’s not your kid, I thought we’d been through this already in Sunshine!). Oh and CAN WE TALK ABOUT THE WAY SHE’S LOOKING AT HIM IN (spoilers in link) THAT CUTSCENE FROM THE NEW RABBIDS 2 DLC!!!
I don’t know how to fully explain but, looking at these kinds of interactions, you can tell that the two of them know each other, and to an extent Peach knows that Bowser won’t hurt her, hence why she’s not afraid to oppose him. It’s pretty funny actually how in the games Peach tends to be exasperated by Bowser more than anything else. Like he’s not a menace, just a weekly annoyance. And again, when you compare it to the movie where there’s only hostility and awkwardness between them, you do get the impression that they’re two complete strangers meeting for the first time. The fact Movie Peach had no idea about his feelings for her doesn’t help either. Then again, about the hostility, Peach in the games is much sweeter so maybe she shows a nicer side to Bowser because that’s just who she is.

Okay now I'm determined to get this ball scene done idk why my brain won't let me type it's not even a hyper detailed scene or anything wtf pls brain I'm begging u let me type this shit out
The party's in full swing almost immediately, once cas and luca took the floor others followed their example, the ballroom was full of laughs and loud conversations, gossip and information being spread amongst the staff and guests. The atmosphere was fantastic and bright
When luca finally managed to slip away from the King and cas, he found raf in a further corner of the room drinking with some of his friends from around the castle, singing and laughing while, to lucas chagrin, women were flocked around the man, hanging on his words and arms, practically throwing themselves at him. Lucas eye twitched at the sight.
The gaggle of giggles and swoons were pretty much silenced as he approached the group. All of the guests turned toward him with birthday wishes and compliments on his attire, all except the one woman who clung to rafs bicep as she spoke, not noticing raf wasn't paying attention to her any longer, his attention focused solely on his prince, as it should be. Luca practically preened under his gaze as he came to stand next to the taller, taking rafs hand in his own before turning to the lady still latched onto him.
"My apologies, Miss, but Mr Marcello is actually my personal guest this evening, so I'll have to steal him away from you."
Luca lays his hand over her own as he pries raf away from her claws, voice like honey as he speaks, but raf can see the sharpness in his stare, they need to move before luca says something less polite
"Sorry about this, Miss, I can't be disappointing my- our prince on his birthday though, can I?"
She reluctantly let's go as he moves over to luca, placing his hand on the shorters lower back, which earns a glance from the woman, colour filling her cheeks and eyes widening with realisation as she bows to the pair
"O-Of course, your highness, I'm terribly sorry. I had no idea that he was your guest, I hope you both enjoy your evening, now, if you'll please excuse me"
Raf watches he scurry off with a raised brow as he's led away from the table by luca, he turns to the other
"Mr Marcello? Really? If I had known you get jealous so easily, I'd flirt more often~"
Luca shoots him a glare
"I'm kidding! Come on birthday boy~ You know you're the only one for me"
He says this as he squeezes lucas hand lightly
"I know, I just like hearing you say it~"
Luca replies with a teasing smile on his lips, raf scoffs in return
"Touché"
Luca laughs as he leads them both into the middle of the floor, heads turn to watch and see who the Prince has chosen to bring with him tonight. Whispers fill the crowd as they speculate about who this man is, a lover, perhaps? A fiancé? Raf sweats a little under their stares
The king overhears and clears up with a few people that Rafael is lucas personal gaurd, a close friend. They take the information but all of them don't buy it
"Are you sure you want to do this with me? Everyone's already talking. " Raf asks with a wary smile as he moves his hands to lucas hand and waist
"Oh, let them talk. I'm getting at least one dance with you tonight. Now stop thinking and just be with me here, right now, it's just us."
I'm of course not writing this bit in detail I'm genuinely not arsed to rn like idk the ins and outs of dance I just enjoy the visual and those two just being together laughing and dancing and aaaaa. Here's the song they're dancing to BTW I adore it
The dance comes to an end, and the pair stand together for a minute, sharing breaths and a loving look as the small crowd that had formed cheers the performance
"I need you" luca says softly, eyes not leaving rafs as his hands fist into the older sleeves
"You have me."
His eyes dart away, smile turning bashful as he moves to tug raf away from the crowd
"No, Rafael. I need you, now."
Raf clears his throat, tugging at his collar, suddenly feeling like he's wearing far too many layers as they slip out of the ballroom and down one of the many empty hallways. Once they're far from prying eyes, luca stops, turning to face the other
"I want to run away with you. I want to do everything we've talked about. I want to sail, I want to visit new places, I want to live my life with you, if you'll have me."
His eyes are welled with emotion as he speaks, rafs own heart hammering in his chest as he takes lucas face in his hands, leaning down to press their foreheads together
"I wouldn't be able to go on without you. You make me feel ways I've never felt, that I couldn't even begin to try and explain. We were meant to be Luca. It wasn't an accident or coincidence. It was fate, and we both know it. We complete each other. I want you beside me."
Lucas tears slip as he looks at Raf, eyes hopeful as he speaks quietly between them.
"Forever?"
"Always."
This wasn't even well written and I'm getting emo wtf I love these two so much god think about how good this will be when I'm actually capable and not cringe in how I say things I'll be unstoppable.

do you think it’s possible to read yaoi purely for enjoyment and separate that fiction from reality, realizing that it’s not a representation of real gay men but is instead a genre aimed for women by women? i like to see it this way- if you are a woman who likes men, yaoi is just double the man. for this same reason i don’t see an issue with men reading yuri. as long as that doesn’t lead to fetishization of gay men, especially real gay men. personally i used to read yaoi (dojuins not fanfiction) with anime guys i liked bc that was the only smut available and they were pretty good, but that never led to me fetishizing or comparing them to real men. like i’ve never ‘shipped’ real men or anything of the sort. I understand there’s a culture around yaoi that is often fetishized but that’s not all people.
my main point is- do you think no woman can ever read/watch it ever, even if they don’t compare it to real life?
i think the main problem is that a cishet woman cannot read yaoi with the intent being inherently sexualized.
there's a whole other category of BL/shounen-ai whatever u wanna call it that you can find actual storylines. plot and relationships that you can read about and get into. and i rlly don't care if cishet women read things that are actually meant to be read with storylines and plots and real relationships, by all means, go for it. when i say yaoi i mean the PORN, the hentai.
there's a fundamental problem in that yaoi isn't just "double the man for straight women"...they're two gay men. a straight person should not be thinking of two gay men as being just double the man for the straight person to consume that's not what mlm should be watered down to
it's porn and i just can't grasp why straight women automatically want to get off to gay sex. more than anything, they can relate more to het hentai so why is yaoi the one that's specifically enticing to them.
there's no argument in yaoi for "but i like their relationship" because there's very rarely any real, healthy relationship beyond mentioning in it before it jumps straight into the porn. do they just find the fact they're two men fucking hot? do they find that they're gay hot? if you say "well it seems more realistic", as a straight woman.....what would they know? if it's more "relatable"...again, you're straight how would you know?
there's no way a straight woman can relate to gay porn without it just being based on their perceptions and ideas of what being gay is or looks like. straight people don't experience being gay. you can relate to the problems that happen in relationships of mlm couples or things like that but out of straight up yaoi? porn? you don't get anything but just the most basic sexualization that is inherently there. and i feel the same with cishet men reading yuri.
like i'm not by any means saying that i don't think straight people can't read yaoi or trying to stop them. it's just something that makes me personally uncomfortable and i decided i don't want to rlly interact with those people.
this is all /nm btw

How about a drabble of Barok serving as Klint's judicial assistant in his younger years, before he officially studies law to become a prosecutor? I like the idea of him becoming interested in and familiar with law from his brother. "Judicial Assistant van Zieks" has a certain ring to it.
Work Experience
Notes:
Oh that's a lovely idea, anon! I'd imagine that by the time he's promoted to 'Director of Prosecutions', Klint would most likely have been a very senior barrister known as a Q.C. ('Queen's Counsel'); they're also known colloquially as 'silks' because they 'take silk' (i.e. acquire a robe made of silk) upon attaining this lofty rank.
When a barrister becomes a silk/QC, they often only handle the most difficult (and expensive) work, but they will usually have a junior barrister assisting them (i.e. doing all the work, though I doubt Klint would conduct himself like that).
I can very much imagine Klint taking Barok as his junior and allowing himself to be 'led' by the latter. The term 'leading' basically means the barrister in charge of conducting the case where there's more than one involved.
Content Warnings: legal gubbins (that's the technical term btw... it's not); I take liberties with all things van Zieks, as usual...
──────≪⊰✥⊱≫───────
Klint's office was the very best place to study as far as Barok was concerned - the vast table in the centre of the room allowed him to spread his books out while the peaceful calm was greatly conducive to reflective reading. It was as good as, if not superior to, going to the university library. "Barok!" Klint said as he entered his room and shrugged out of his formal scarlet jacket, tossing it haphazardly on a coat rack, "What a pleasant surprise-- drink?" "Good afternoon brother," he looked up and nodded in greeting, "Mm, yes please. How was court?" "Fairly standard stuff," Klint sighed as he took two glasses and poured a measure of whiskey into each. Truth be told it was yet more of the depressing hypocrisy that grew ever-apparent to him day by day, but there was no need to sour a visit from his brother with such things. He set the glass down beside Barok and held up his own in a toasting gesture. Their glasses chimed melodically before both took a sip. Barok coughed a little, still unaccustomed to way whiskey punched the back of his throat when he swallowed it, "I imagine you were splendid, as always." "Oh?" Klint chuckled, his brother truly did worship him. Then, while he leaned against his desk, an idea came to him, "Hmmm! That's a thought..." "Huh?" "How about you take on a little work experience by my side, hm? I'm sure it would be fun to have you as my junior counsel for a while." "What? Really?" Barok looked simultaneously shocked and delighted, "I'd very much like to learn at your side, brother, I imagine there is much you could teach me about court etiquette and procedure!" "Then it's settled! I'll write to your professor and tell him you're to undertake a period of practical study beside me. After all, you're planning to become a prosecutor are you not?" he knew full well his brother intended to follow in his footsteps, which was incredibly flattering-- though he did have his reservations about what such a career might do to his darling brother's character. The younger nodded, "I should very much like to become a prosecutor." "Very good," he set his glass down and sat at his desk, taking a sheet of paper and his quill in hand, "We'll have that letter sent out today!" ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── Barok had been to court many, many times but mostly to observe by way of the public gallery when safe to do so, or from a corner of the courtroom once he started being targeted due to Klint's ever-growing renown as the 'bane of criminals'. This, however, was on an entirely different scale: today he would be assisting with the proceedings -- a participant rather than a spectator. "You look nervous," Klint remarked as he stood beside his younger brother. "What... what do you mean?" "Your eyes," he said, chuckling behind his fist, "They're darting all over the place like a furtive rabbit's" "....O.. Oh..." he took a deep breath and shook his head, "I... didn't sleep much last night, my mind seemed to want to go over the case details again and again." "Mmmm, I had forgotten how it felt to be quite that nervous in court... still, it's good you feel that unsettled sense in the pit of your stomach. One should never be blasé about standing in this sombre hall of justice. It should always create a sense of disquiet, that is how you know you yet hold the essence of what it means to be an officer of the court," Klint took a glass and a decanter from under the bench and filled it with a small measure, "But, here, it doesn't hurt to settle your nerves." "Is that... whiskey?!" Barok uttered. "Yes, go on, for your nerves, little brother." He took a sip as directed, and choked again; still not used to that fiery punch in his throat, "T...thank you." Suddenly there were three loud knocks at the door followed by the court clerk's booming voice: "All persons who have anything to do before my Lords - the Queen's Justices - at the Central Criminal Court, draw near and give your attendance. God Save the Queen!" the clerk bowed to the judge then took a seat in the corner so as to record a transcript of the proceedings.
The Judge sat down, "In the name of her Majesty, Queen Victoria, I declare this court to be in session. God Save the Queen," the middle-aged man, whose hair was starting to fail him, though it was hidden under his white wig, cast his gaze over the persons in attendance, "Lord van Zieks, I see the prosecution has a junior member today." "Correct, my lord," Klint replied with a smile, "This is my younger brother, Barok, he desires to become a prosecutor, so I thought it only proper for him to accompany me on a few excursions so as to get a feel for the thing." "Quite right and very good," the Judge nodded, "I bid you welcome, young man, I hope you will learn much from your older brother, he is a skilled prosecutor and an invaluable asset to this court." "Y... Yes sir!" Barok said, standing straight to attention. Klint chuckled before placing a hand over his heart and bowing, "Thank you, my Lord, you honour me." "Now, Counsel, your opening statement, if you please." "With pleasure, my Lord..." ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── Barok dutifully passed evidence and case notes to his brother as the case progressed, while also taking notes of things that struck him as important in terms of procedure, witness testimony and the general way in which matters progressed. He also made a few notes on Klint's control of the courtroom and general demeanour; the way he eloquently developed his arguments and appealed to the Jury with a seemingly effortless, poetic grace. It was a true masterclass in courtroom conduct and he longed to commit every second of it to his memory so that he might mimic his brother's style in the future. "I already told ya!" snapped the witness in the box, "I ain't never had nothin' to do with the gobshite!" Klint sighed while removing a handsome goblet, fashioned from silver and crystal, from under the bench and filling it with a measure of whiskey, "I'm going to overlook your use of a double negative, no doubt you'd have no sense of what that actually means, and presume that you're trying to deny all knowledge of the accused." "Double wot?" "Never mind all that, " Klint took a sip, startling Barok-- was his brother drinking in court?! The Judge didn't seem remotely bothered by it, in fact no one said a word. Did he do this often?? His brother continued, "You say you don't know that man in the dock." "That's right!" "Are you sure about that?" "W-Wot?! Why'd you keep askin' me that?! If you got somethin' to say about it then say it!" the witness looked flustered and vaguely guilty to Barok's untrained eye. "I'll do better than that," Klint said, setting his goblet down, "I'll show that you're lying to me, to this court and these fine men and women of the jury." "... U..urk..." the witness bit their bottom lip, "Yer lyin'! There ain't no proof to be had!" "I don't play games of bluff, good sir. Like any lawyer worth his salt: when I assert, I go on to prove what I'm saying," he held up a document, "Do you know what this is?" ".... Looks like a bit'o paper..." "It's a contract, signed between you and the accused. A... 'gentlemans' agreement of goods and for services rendered –– you, sir, would receive the stolen property from the accused and his associates, then sell it on for them via your Pawnbrokery!" "W-Whaaaaat?!" the witness recoiled, "W...Where'd you get that?!" "It was well hidden, I'll give you that," Klint replied with a smile, "But not well enough to escape my notice. You're as involved in this intricate criminal fencing enterprise as the accused!" The court descended into a shocked furor... ──────≪⊰✥⊱≫─────── "I think this is a good place to adjourn proceedings for today," the Judge observed after the breakdown of the witness, "Bailiff, have that man arrested and handed over to the Yard so he can answer questions about his involvement in this sordid affair!" The bailiff did as ordered and apprehended the witness.
"Thank you to both Counsel's, and our young junior, for their assistance today. We shall continue again first thing on Monday. Court is adjourned!" the Judge rose, nodding to the courtroom once before leaving.
Klint turned to his little brother and grinned, "Well? How was your first real day in court, brother?" "It... it was amazing!" Barok replied, eyes practically twinkling, "I was so awed by your performance! You truly are an exceptional legal mind and practitioner, brother!" He laughed, "Stop it... you'll make me blush!" "It's true! Though, I must say... I had no idea one could drink in court or kick the prosecutor's bench... those were most flamboyant and striking displays!" "Most people can't," Klint conceded, "But, well, it seems I have a flair for the dramatic. It must run in the blood... Our lord father was a similarly passionate man when it came to matters of court –– even when he occupied the bench as a Law Lord. Many a lawyer would refer to him as 'Good Lord Kicking' behind his back!" he laughed at the thought. "Wow... really?!" "Yes, really!"

Workplace harassment - Real story
Are you down for a real conversation? Workplace harassment is so layered that often times it's hard to point out something which may not be visible to the naked eye but believe it or not, women really are instinctively blessed. Our gut feeling is rarely wrong especially when it involves inappropriate behavior or crossing boundaries. Therefore, when my recruiter friend/colleague told me about this incident, I immediately knew it was inappropriate.
That said, let me share a real story from my workplace. This can't be classified as harassment YET but can soon be turned into one. Read on.
So, the MD of my company is hiring for a Human Resources position with a big caveat, rather many big caveats, with absolutely no reasoning behind:
1. She shouldn't be married.
2. She shouldn't have plans of getting married in the near future.
3. She should be good looking.
4. She shouldn't have boring hobbies like dancing, singing, and painting. Who knew these hobbies could be BORING for some pervs? Instead, her hobbies should include CLUBBING!!!!! C L U B B I N G. I know, you're in shock, so am I.
5. She should be willing to work in the night shift. OK - it's a business requirement. So, one candidate was perfectly fit for the job and was willing to work night shift but she was turned down because she was married. Again, no explanation for rejecting. If you have a problem hiring married women for the night shifts, go for a male candidate?
6. She should have a stellar personality. YES - everyone should have a good personality and in fact, many candidates we interviewed had much better personality than the MD himself but were either married or not very good looking (As per their shitty standards).
7. Strict no for male candidates. Why? No explanation offered.
8. 10 years of work-ex. Though, the MD has no interest in her skills because not once has he mentioned it in his exhaustive list of pervy expectations.
What world are we living in? What is an HR professional going to do with these traits? Funnily enough, the recruiter assigned to this job is beyond disgusted and is regretting his decision of coming to this stupid place. How is he supposed to ask women such uncomfortable questions? I feel sorry for him. As a man himself, he is finding this hella absurd.
There is no female leader in this company btw. Everyone is expected to be a Yes man. Since the company is US-led, the culture is great but little does the global team know what is really happening behind the scenes.
This makes me wonder, women still aren't considered equal to men, at least not in this age. We're still living in a patriarchal society. We still have to battle our way to stand up for our rights. We are going to be objectified despite our skills, experience or abilities. We will be judged on our looks. Sure, this isn't the case everywhere but it sure is in many corporates. The number might be lesser, but it exists.
What are your thoughts?

Greetings!
Hello there! ^^
I am a straight white male (currently 20 years old), and ever since I can remember… I've been into G/t.
Ever since I was a little kid, whenever movies, tv shows, games, books, etc would have size-related content (i.e. shrinking and/or interactions between characters with an extreme size disparity), it would always really fascinate me, but I didn't know why.
When I started going through puberty, I noticed that I liked looking at girls with pretty feet… so I knew what that was: a foot fetish. And I already knew that was something that was considered gross and weird, and therefore I should never bring it up.
Simple enough so far, right? Well…
Then I had my first "erotic" fantasy.
It consisted of a scenario in which I wake up surrounded by fabric, in the dark and wearing only my underwear. The fabric seemed to be tightly folded somehow. Then, somewhere beyond, I heard a familiar voice! It was that of the prettiest girl in my class, but she sounded muffled and far away for some reason. Then, all of a sudden, the floor under me slides quickly in one direction, and light pours in. It is then that I realize where I am and the state I am in: I am somehow 2 inches tall, and tucked inside the sock of the prettiest girl in my class, inside her sock drawer!! She just so happens to pick up the pair that I'm folded in. She unfolds them, and the sock I'm in unrolls above me as a huge tube of fabric, with me hanging in the toe end. Then, I see five pretty, painted, and absolutely huge feminine toes descending on me fast! They quickly overtake me and I'm surrounded by the soft skin of her foot. I hear a yelp of surprise from beyond, and the massive foot retreats. The sock is quickly turned upside down and I tumble into the soft palm of her hand. She looks at me and recognizes me! Then, she laughs at my plight, shoves me back in her sock, slips it back on, and goes about her day in school. It's the first day of many for me, wrapped in the hot embrace of her wriggling digits as I begin my new life as her pet and toy…
At 12 years old, having never heard of macro/microphilia, I had no idea what to think of this. Much less did I consider that there were other people who thought of things like this! I just knew that I liked it. When I got more access to the internet, I realized what it was, and that there were others like me!
This discovery led to my fetish evolving into all sorts of fantasy scenarios(not all foot-related btw) involving plot devices such as shrink rays, shrinking pills, shrinking viruses, magic, and even just naturally tiny people like borrowers.
These fantasies also ranged in terms of the characters involved and their relations to each other: stories of loving girlfriends/wives and their boyfriends/husbands, strict mothers and their sons, teasing sisters and their brothers, cruel strangers and their victims, careless scientists and their test subjects, paying customers and their "pets", etc, etc
There was, however, an aspect of my fetish, an entire half of it in fact, that was suppressed until early 2020. You see, for all of this time, my fantasies were always F/m, with the men being the tiny/shrunken ones interacting with normal-sized women. (I hardly ever like legitimate giants and giantesses, but there are exceptions, of course.)
I am 5'3" in real life, so I was always picked on as the runt of my class. I used to be super self-conscious about my height, and I believe that I internalized this as being always in the submissive position in my fantasies. As such, I always avoided M/f content, where the women are tiny/shrunken and interacting with normal-sized men. However, earlier this year, I realized that there was a whole side to myself that was previously unexplored. I began to read stories and view art that excited and fascinated me just as much as what I had previously enjoyed, but it was the exact polar opposite within my fetish.
So now, I am a switch! I enjoy the thought of shrinking a woman and/or interacting with a tiny woman, both willing and unwilling, just as much as the reverse! And yes, my focus there is still on feet as well. (I have very good-looking feet for a guy. ^^; So I have been told, anyways, and I agree! ;) I take good care of them, moisturizing, exfoliating, keeping my nails trimmed and clean, and even shaving! You can actually see them on my Deviantart if you don’t believe me! ^^)
Now I fantasize about scenarios involving either F/m and M/f equally! These fantasies also range from the fluffy and wholesome, to the smutty and erotic, to a mix of both! I enjoy both long stories/series with character and plot development, as well as quick one-offs that simply tease and titillate the senses.

Can you rank the Revue Starlight girls on their Power Lesbian level? I'm having a disagreement with my friend and I want to hear your opinion.
HSKFDJ ur definition of power lesbian might b different from mine, but ill do my best!!
1) miss tendou maya!! she’s not just a confident lesbian, she’s also in every way powerful?? girl barges in n starts looking in the bathtub while ur having a nice soak?? lift ur leg up for her. fighting a revue?? playfully smack ur opponent’s face while u kick her ass to the curb. love of ur life starts bickering w/ u while ur both showering?? just leave the stall and presumably get dressed as she chases after u. she might not have friends but god is maya one powerful lesbian
2) kuro is second n here’s why: she cuddles up to mahiru n whispers in french in her ear the day after getting her ass kicked by maya, n then in the same episode, forcibly steals the lead from futaba as they’re dancing while still making it look charming n cool. in the prequel manga there was All That when she was showing off for her fangirl--n its a very different kind of energy than what maya has, but kuro has A Lot of it and a lot of confidence, n unlike maya’s nonstop power moves, she actually plays well w/ others, so that’s lesbian points 2 her!!
3) kaoruko is the embodiment of MOVE I’M GAY. it takes some special gay energy to do whatever the fuck she did w/ mahiru in ep 3 n u have to admire her confidence, if nothing else. she’s rlly not that... successful in other areas but in being a lesbian?? very powerful, if not functional
4) futaba, 10 yrs into the future, is the person that drives the friendgroup around bc no one else has a license or is actually good at driving, n her functionality alone gives her an edge on like, half the cast. additionally, approaching claudine after hours n managing to arrange regular practice sessions w/ her?? that takes Energy, n if it weren’t for the fact that futaba is so weak to kaoruko’s charms she’d be number 3
5) junna literally DIPPED karen for no reason other than to shut her up in ep 1 n had the guts to interrupt class when ppl were getting a little too noisy ab kuromaya for her tastes. she’s also rlly sweet n forward w banana?? anyone who has the guts to talk to their crush like, “make sure you audition too!! i want to show YOU that i can get a lead role” or “ive heard this is the ideal height difference btw men n women” Has Lesbian Power
6) nana. i kno what ur thinking. she should b higher, shouldn’t she?? but that’s in light of ep 7--she’s basically been repeating the same 1.5 yrs w/ the same pack of lesbians for who knows how long now, so of course she’s a confident, functioning gay!! take that away from her or have some of the girls start deviating, n nana’s going to b thrown off. im calling it now--junna or someone is going to do smth soft for nana that she couldn’t ever have predicted n nana’s just gonna bust into tears. she’s going to cry like she did in the first loop. she has big mom friend energy n big top energy but if u take the homura time shenanigans away from her, nana loses a lot of her powerful lesbian energy n that’s my ted talk on why nana ranks so low thanks for coming
this is where things start getting weird--in general i’d say the rest of the 3 girls r like the rock paper scissors of gay power bc their lesbian energies vary by circumstance but my final say would b:
7) karen!! listen. anime karen is Slightly Invalid but manga and stageplay karen?? very rowdy n Very Gay n she’s also more emotionally intelligent than hikari (tho considering hikari, that’s not rlly much of a compliment), so she’s going to rank above hikari
8) i actually don’t feel like elaborating on why mahiru is here, but she’s here. she beats hikari bc mahiru actually has emotional intelligence n is underneath karen bc its.... karen. the end
9) hikari is so powerful in terms of raw bde but literally what has she done in terms of lesbianism besides All That w/ mahiru. she rlly led karen on a day n night goose chase bc she couldn’t talk ab her feelings n doesn’t talk enough w the rest of the cast, so the ppl she can b gay w are limited to karen n mahiru Only. stageplay hikari tho would b way higher tho

TW: mentions of depression and being suicidal
YES! Say it louder for the crappy, self-centered portion of the fandom that really hates female superheroes. First, can we please acknowledge the actual facts. Every single member of the original team left the team. Simmons asked to leave and work undercover to get away from Fitz (btw, supremely unbelievable that she wasn’t killed on day 1 in Hydra), May just ran away to find herself and communicated with no one for 6 months, Coulson left the organization that he led to go on a revenge quest for a women he barely knew and then when Fitzsimmons was taken he freaking hung after saying figure it out ... and let’s not forget Fitz ... Fitz abandoned the team for 6 months while they all covered for him and then risked the entire team so he could throw a hissy fit against the monolith. So no, Daisy did not do anything that every single member of that team had not already done.
And I agree with the second part also. What Daisy went through with Hive and Lincoln was beyond anything that the others had dealt with and run ... and the writers came up with the worst time of mind control because Daisy felt good about what she was doing. When Loki controlled Hawkeye, he was like a zombie. Bucky didn’t even know who he was as the Winter Soldier. Daisy knew them and knows that she hurt them and remembers feeling good about it. What kind of trauma is that! Then to have Lincoln basically tell her that they couldn’t be together right now which in her state sounded like the “it’s not you, it’s me” breakup line and then to stop her from sacrificing herself ... how does one actually recover from that?
And the team and the fandom constantly ignores Daisy’s child hood trauma. She was an unwanted, neglected and abused foster kid who was constantly told that she was not enough and would never be enough, that there were no second chances, that she was unworthy of love and forgiveness. Then let’s not kid ourselves, she lived on the streets for awhile too. You don’t just wipe away 20+ years of trauma like that because some people are sorta nice to you. My frustration with the team has always been that they really never cared enough to realize this ... Coulson telling her to pack her bags after she gets her powers, May telling her that Gonzales was a good man after he had sent agents to kill her, Jemma’s reaction post powers, Fitz not caring at all about Daisy and jumping in the monolith knowing it could kill Daisy ... and the way they handled her post Hive at the end of Season 3 is offensive (except Mack). Daisy had to leave if she was ever to find her way back to being Daisy.
And here’s the thing, Daisy is most definitely not in a good head space. Hive messed with her brain chemistry ... kinda sounds like the worst withdrawal ever. She is depressed ... self-loathing ... guilt ... suicidal ... and all of this plays into her childhood trauma ... she tells Coulson that she doesn’t deserve to be forgiven and that she is a criminal. I can’t even imagine how terrible she must feel thinking of all the people who have dies for her and because of her combines with how little she thinks of herself. At this particular moment, none of the rest of them matter. Oh, I’m sorry are you said that Daisy is depressed. Well, if you really miss her then I guess you matter more than she does. Bullshit. They don’t matter. And if they cared about her at all, they would try to show her that they loved her and not yell at her. Cause here’s the really depressing part of this ... also, why I can never, ever give any props to the AoS writers ... they should be forced to take some mental health awareness seminars because they check every single box for what NOT to do when someone is depressed and suicidal. Mack tells her that she is a burden and that they are cleaning up her mess. Fitz just yells at her and minimizes her trauma and lets her know that everyone is better that she is so one more thing that you failed at.
I am so beeping fed up with the idea that Daisy betrayed the team. She emphatically did not. She truly believes that she is protecting them. Without her, they will be safe and what she wants doesn’t matter. She doesn’t deserve love or friendship or forgiveness. Instead of fighting for her and trying to undo the damage from Hive, they make it worse. Is it any wonder that after seeing the team that she tries to commit suicide by prison inmate?
And clearly if fans think that she was threatened Simmons with a gun, then they really shouldn’t be allowed to comment on anything. That was clearly a way to save Simmons from the lie detector test that she had just said was the reason she couldn’t help Daisy.
So can I just say that clearly your rant (@samanthaswishes) triggered my rant ... which was kinda fun because clearly on this we are very much in sync.
TW: mentions of depression and being suicidal
I'm listening to an aos after-show podcast, and I'm on 4x02 of the podcast, and they're talking about how Daisy left the team, and I'm kind of annoyed that they're actually kind of agreeing with Fitz in this situation? They talked about how everyone on the team has lost somebody. They talk about how Coulson lost Rosalind, how May lost Andrew, how Fitzsimmons have lost each other or whatever, but it goes so much deeper than that. Does no one remember that Daisy was possessed and brainwashed by Hive? Hive literally messed with her brain. He was the equivalent of an addiction. She was literally suffering from WITHDRAWALS!!! Lincoln's death was most likely just the last straw.
Daisy had to get away to focus on herself. Was what she was doing healthy? No. But the team, mostly Fitz, and pretty much the fandom made it about themselves and how hurt they were that Daisy left without taking into account how much Daisy was hurting during this time.
And the people on this podcast were even saying that Daisy leaving was a betrayal of trust. Like how? She didn't sell secrets. No one on the team was put in danger because of her leaving. In her mind, she was protecting them. She never used anything against them (and this is before she pulled a gun on Simmons in 4x04, so let's not bring that up, and I feel like that situation is different all on its own), so what exactly is she betraying? If she ever did anything in a "betrayal" matter, she was either manipulated or brainwashed!
I understand why Daisy left. It's not that she doesn't care. It's that she cares so much. People have literally died for her since she was a baby. I can't imagine what that could do to one's conscience. Because Daisy cares, she left the team, hoping that it'll keep the people she loves safe. After how many people she has lost, I understand why she would want to not think about losing more people. How come whenever Daisy finally makes decisions for herself, she is told that other people are more important? She's literally depressed and suicidal, and they're the ones who are so incredibly hurt? That's not to say that they can't be upset that Daisy had left, but they act like she's doing it with the intention of hurting them. I hate when Daisy is blamed for other people's problems. Not to mention no one on the team seems to care about Daisy's past with foster care and abandonment, but that's a whole other post that I want to make. That was one of the whole points as to why Hive easily brainwashed her and made her addicted to him, but yet again, no one cares about how it affected her. Only how it affected themselves.
Anyway, here's my rant for the day and your reminder that Daisy deserved so much better.

I wrote this at 1 am after taking sleeping pills it’s great I’ma queue it for tomorrow idk if it’s worth reading but I, in my current mental state, consider it my magnum opus
I like honestl was led to believe that edgar allen poe was a good author but like. Damn.
So I really like reading murder cases, like complicated ones, idk why. But I decided to see if I could do something slightly less creepy and I ended up on “the murders in the rue morgue” and like not to spoil a shitty disappointing mystery or anything but
Ok first off before the murder even happens he trys to pull a BBC sherlock. Like he met the fuckin guy at a book store and they were both trying to find a book that very few people had ever heard of. And then he saw him 2 more times and he was like “o shit damn I MUST get to know this guy”
and like honestly just take a quote that will explain everything else
“the force of his busy mind was like a bright light in my soul. I felt that the friendship of such a man would be for me riches without price. I therefore told him of my feelings toward him, and he agreed to come and live with me.”
no homo and then the guy watches him for 15 minutes while they walk in silence and then proceeds to tell him his entire thought sequence all because he knows him so well he says shit like “you looked at the stars so I looked at the stars and noticed orion was super bright so you must be thinking of orion and we read an article in the newspaper about an actor that quoted a book we both read about orion and I knew you would think of that actor and then you stood up straighter so I knew you were thinking of how short he was and he would do better in less serious plays”
“so then I was like ‘I agree, he is p short’ not to like impress you or anything just, like u know”
no homo tho. totally no homo. just 2 really good buddy pals
Ok done with that now the fuckin mystery. Two women sitting in a bedroom with only one bed, but multiple tables and chairs, reading some old papers and letters of no interest door locked from the inside but window wide open, fake locks on the windows but real hidden locks also
The mob heard an orangutan and not one person recognized it as an animal, they all thought it was a person speaking a language they didn’t know.
Multiple people hear this orangutan in this room they were not in, but *noone* saw it running through the streets of paris or into the house
Not only that but there just happened to be someone who was a native speaker of french, english, spanish, and italian, all of whom heard the orangutan, just by chance. Also one of them, in france, did not even know enough french to tell the difference between an orangutan and a person speaking french, or recognize the phrase “mon dieu”
and also *neither* of the women hear the fuckin thing come in and stand there watching them (o btw it carried a knife all through paris and also while it climbed up a pole it still didn’t drop the knife)
so then it, no motive, pure fear, cuts the woman’s head *almost* off, but not all the way off, and throws her out the window and she falls 4 stories, which still did not result in the full detachment of her head. Yet it fell off on it’s own when her body was picked up minutes later.
then, again, pure fear, strangles a girl, like immediately upon seeing her goes straight to the “hands around neck til she dies which probably is not instantaneous idk??” but like. no motive just a scared stupid monkey. We know he’s stupid and acting with no intention because at one point he runs around the room aimlessly in fear, breaking all the furniture. But also he is patient enough to keep his hands around her neck til she dies
Now a note: If I were to find a bed ripped to pieces and covered in blood, I would probably not describe it as “there was one bed. everything has been taken from it and thrown into the middle of the floor”, I doubt  I would refer to it as a bed honestly considering it sounds like it was quite deconstructed???
Back to monkey. Not smart enough to kill with intention, but smart enough to attempt to know he did wrong and shove a body up a chimney and throw the other one out the window before fleeing
or maybe that’s just what monkeys do when they get scared. Shove dead bodies up chimneys and throw them out windows.
oh and he closed the window behind him when he left how sweet
and then continued to roam the streets of paris without being found or committing more murders
and then mr. Gunna Fuck a Book  is totally getting off to Mr.  Book telling him that he posted an add in the paper saying they found an orangutan and the person who lost it should come get it and they know he’s a sailor btw
and he’s like “yeah I know it was an orangutan bc noone could tell what it was saying and I honestly don’t know he’s a sailor but sailors are strong enough to climb poles into the house like that and also they go to faraway places where orangutans can be acquired so like yeah it probably is might as well say that in the ad” and then  he’s like “shh I hear footsteps and right on cue mr. ex-orangutan-owner walks in in his sailor suit asking if they got his orangutan like im sorry do you see a giant ass monkey here bc i don’t
and then he tells them all abt how he and his male friend went into the forest, like no, i gotta quote this shit again
“But we went — a friend and I — we went into that forest — for pleasure.”
no homo anyway we cought the monkey and brought it back and it caused ALOt of problems being all big and strong and stuff so I was like “why not bring it to paris haha what a great idea :)”
and he keeps it in his apartment and I guess either it didn’t make noise or it did and all the neighbors just though he has like a new friend who didn’t speak a language they knew and yelled alot idk?
