Ummm
This means too much to me
How could you do this to me
Soo...
Torbek : Jail is no fun. Torbek’ll tell you that much.
Frost : Oh, you’ve been?
Torbek : Once. In Monopoly.
Torbek : Bad things keep happening to torbek, like torbek has bad luck or something.
Frost : Torbek , you don't have bad luck. The reason bad things happen to you is because you're a dumbass.
Frost and Torbek are my two favorites in ouaw and of course they are the only two who never get fanart together. Gotta do everything myself in this damn house >:[
In my head with all the machinery torbek is scared to actually get in water to bathe. Also rattling around in my head is Frost will groom any of his friends with hair (sorry kremy 🧍♀️) which has led to this. This is how torbek gets cleaned frost takes care of him :[

I'm so glad to see all the love that My Next Life as a Villainess is getting around here! It's a delightful show even aside from the sibling shipping potential (it's the only reverse harem, or harem in general, I've ever been able to stand, partially because the characters are genuinely likable people, and it makes sense why they all like Katarina because she's best girl).
Anyway, I wanted to do a little write-up about Katarina and Keith, because they're my OTP and I figured you'd appreciate more details. For anyone who's interested in the anime, the best episodes for them are S1E1 and the three-part "Keith Disappeared" arc (S2 eps 8-10) and the following episode (11) from late S2. You can find them on VRV and Crunchyroll, and honestly it shows both characters at their best, IMO.
The premise of the series is that, when duke's daughter Katarina is 8, she hits her head and regains the memories of her past life. In that life, she was an ordinary Japanese girl who loved otome games/dating sims, and the one that she was playing when she died was "Fortune Lover." The world she inhabits in this life has striking similarities to the Fortune Lover world, except... as the show's title suggests... in the game, the character of Katarina Claes was the villainess who only existed to bully the game's heroine, and in every ending she appeared in, she was killed or exiled.
One of the love interests in the game (for the heroine, not Katarina) was Katarina's adoptive brother/distant cousin, Keith. In the Fortune Lover timeline, he was bullied by Katarina and her mother throughout his childhood, because they believed he was his father's child via a mistress. (To be fair, there's just as strong a family resemblance between Keith and his adoptive father as there is with Katarina and her mother... which I really like, because it cements that he belongs in their family.)
In truth, he's the child of the duke's cousin (how distant isn't specified, but again--that family resemblance) and a mistress. Before living with Katarina and her family, he was also mistreated by his parents, stepbrothers, and other relatives they tried to pawn him off on. Once, he accidentally hurt his stepbrothers with his powerful earth magic, leading him to view himself as a monster.
Anyway--in his Fortune Lover "bad end," he kills Katarina to protect his love interest, while in the "good end," she's exiled and Keith leaves the Claes family to elope with the heroine. Sad stuff, but also not relevant outside of what *our* Katarina is afraid of.
Because *our* Katarina regains her memories shortly before Keith is brought into the family, and she makes it her mission to be kind to him--not just because she's afraid of being killed/exiled in the future, but also because she's always wanted a little brother and finds him very endearing. Meanwhile, he's floored by this human sunshine of a girl wanting him to be her family, spend time with him, etc. More than that, she asks him to call her "sister/nee-san," while his previous siblings wanted nothing to do with him--it's her *wanting* to be his sister that seems to make him start to fall for her. Even as kids, he looks at her like she hung the moon and it's adorable.
Near the end of the first episode, Katarina urges Keith to show off his magic. He's reluctant, but he can't say "no" to her. His magic goes out of control and injures her, and Keith locks himself in his room, having reinforced his idea that he's a monster. Katarina begs him to come out, but he refuses, scared of hurting her again.
So this child takes an axe, and she *chops down the door to her brother's room* so she can reassure him that he's not a monster and he belongs with their family. And you can just see on Keith's face that's the moment he falls head over heels with this stubborn, huge-hearted sister of his. Can't blame him--it's iconic. (Their mom is really mad, though. Also understandable.)
So they grow up together, and after the time skip, they're both around 15. Although Katarina is slightly older, Keith is very much the mature and responsible sibling, often keeping her in line by reminding her not to eat too much or embarrass them in public. Still, it's in an affectionate way, because he's very much in love with her, even if she's oblivious to that (and the feelings of everybody else). Of the harem, he's probably the person who understands her best.
Keith spends a lot of time running interference between Katarina and her fiance Prince Geordo (whose feelings she's also oblivious to), because Geordo is much too forward for Keith's liking. So Keith tends to pop up along with Katarina anytime Geordo invites her on what's supposed to be a date, it's a running gag.
(Actually, both Keith and their mom disapprove of the engagement, their mom because Katarina would make a terrible princess. So it seems like it wouldn't be that difficult to get her on board with Keith/Kata.)
Anyway, onto the "Keith Disappeared" arc because it's great. Keith is kidnapped, but the kidnapper frames it as him running away from home because he can't handle his responsibilities anymore. Katarina assumes it's because of her, and she spends the next few episodes relentlessly searching for him. It's possibly the most serious we've seen her up to this point--because she's a habitual goofball who didn't even take her *own* kidnapping (that's another story) seriously--and it's heartbreaking how she's convinced for most of it that her beloved brother left because she was a burden.
(He was actually kidnapped in part due to one of the aforementioned bully stepbrothers, who wants revenge on him after seeing Keith and Katarina dismounting from the duke's carriage and the stepbrother realizing that Keith is living a happy life. He's a petty prick, but anyway. It's cute that he realizes this because of a scene of Keith helping his sister from the carriage, and them smiling at each other as they continue to hold hands afterward. *chefs kiss*)
She finds out he was kidnapped and, although he's being held in a mansion crawling with dangerous dark magic, she refuses to wait on backup, so she and her friends charge in to rescue him. She finds him covered in dark magic, gets absolutely distraught, and--in an unexpected BAMF moment--*rips the dark magic off him* to free him. (Between that and the axe, I'm starting to think half her best moments are Keith-motivated. Geordo who?)
Keith breaks out of the dark magic's hold with her help, and one of the moments that plays as he comes back was the moment when young Katarina told him that he could call her "nee-san/sister" (because again, her seeing him as true family was what made him love her). He sees Katarina, and--convinced he's still dreaming--he finally kisses her... in front of her fiance, might I add. Naturally, she's taken entirely off guard (because oblivious).
After that, he promptly passes out again. They do have another moment later in the episode, where she rushes to his room upon hearing he woke up and basically lays on top of him in his bed because she's so happy he's okay, until they both freak out and blush upon remembering he kissed her and it wasn't a dream. She rationalizes it by saying he mistook her for someone he loves and she'll forget about it, but he says he doesn't want her to forget because it was his first kiss with the one he loves and he confesses his feelings.
(Then the rest of the harem bursts in before she gets a chance to react. Which sucks, but he *does* kinda deserve it after cockblocking Geordo about 500 times, lol)
The next episode, S2E12, is the penultimate ep of the season, which is the most recent season of the anime as of writing this. (I haven't read the main manga or light novel yet, unfortunately.) The Claes siblings dance together at their graduation party, and Keith worries that Geordo might try to seduce Katarina (more than usual) at the group's sleepover. The idea worries her, so he gives her advice on how to avoid it--like don't let herself be lured places by sweets. Their dynamic is just really cute.
There's a controversial bit later in the episode where Katarina visits Keith in his room on her way to the girl's sleepover, wanting to show off her new pajamas to him, even undoing her robe to do so. (Even after the kiss, she's so comfortable around him. It's cute.) He points out that he already had the maid go back to her room, so they're alone together right now. She doesn't get it, so he ends up half-pinning her to the bed.
He says he's been trying to act normal to keep her from being uncomfortable--and she thanks him--but he says he wants her to be more aware of him, and how if she goes into a man's room in her pajamas at night, "you can't complain no matter what he does to you."
I get why people don't like what he says in this scene, but in the context of the show--where he was just worrying about her naivete about Geordo in the previous scene--I think he is legitimately trying to warn her about people misinterpreting her behavior. After all, after he says this, he just kisses her on the forehead and lets her get back up, saying that Keith can settle for just that, but Geordo wouldn't. Then, he yeets her out of his room, leaving her dazed.
So that's the meat of the anime--and like I said, I haven't read the main manga yet--but there's a spinoff manga called "On the Verge of Doom" which I think puts an interesting spin on their relationship. It's a lot more similar to the original Fortune Lover timeline up until the siblings are about 15: Katarina didn't regain her memories yet, so she and her mother have been cruel to Keith. As a result, he became a playboy in an effort to get affection, while resenting Katarina.
She gets her memories back at 15, which is right before all the bad stuff in the Fortune Lover timeline would've happened, so she basically has to speedrun getting everyone on her side to avoid... well... her doom.
A lot of the characters are won over pretty easily, but Keith is the first to show a lot of resistance to it. Understandable, since from his perspective, Katarina has bullied him for nearly a decade, and suddenly she claims she wants to be his family and is acting kind? He flips out when she calls him her little brother, and remains aloof for a while in the face of her kindness, because he isn't sure yet if it's sincere or just another form of bullying. He hopes she means it but is hesitant to trust her, and instead of the doting little brother of the anime, he's kind of tsundere toward her, which is fun.
When she gets kidnapped in this timeline, he rushes to help her. After, she offers to renounce her place in the nobility to atone for how she's behaved in the past, and he realizes if not for her, he would never have known true family, and he realizes he loves her.
There are also other spinoffs, some of which have more Keith/Katarina content. I haven't played Hamefura Pirates for example, but I've seen some CGs and they're adorable.
(For real, just google image search "keith x katarina" and you'll find lots of cute stuff. I tried to include pics in this submission but it kept denying my request for some reason... T_T)
Sorry for the long post, but I just wanted to fill you all in with more details about this adorable ship! Hope this inspired more people to ship them <3
//
Thank you so much for writing all of this up. I have wanted to know more about this anime (/manga) and I'm sure others have to and now I feel like I have a really good understanding of what it's about and why Katarina and Keith is such a good ship. I love that there's a sweetness there, complicated by the Fortune Lover "reality", and that the most recent episodes include some of the best content for them.
I'm also very interested in On The Verge Of Doom, which sounds very much up my alley.

your voice, it calls me - jj maybank
The one where you don't like talking on the phone, but JJ always calls you instead of texting. JJ admits that it's because he wants to hear your voice.
warnings: none for once
pairing: jj maybank x reader
word count: 1k
A/N: had a bad mental health day, so thought I would work on something a lil fluffier. prompt based on kogami OTP fluff generator. let me know what you guys think 🥺
Social anxiety is kind of a pain in the ass. It makes things like scheduling a routine doctor’s appointment or answering a simple phone call difficult. Nine times out of ten, when your phone rings you watch it ring until it falls silent. One out of those ten times the caller is JJ, and despite the tense feeling in your chest brought on by anxiety, you always answer it.
JJ’s not really a texter you’ve realized through your years of friendship. Anytime he wanted to hang out or make plans, he would call. Every time you texted him, he would never respond, instead choosing to pick up the phone and dial your number. It used to really bother you, never being someone who enjoyed talking on the phone, but as you grew to love JJ, you learned to love his phone-calling idiosyncrasies.
You’re sitting with Kie in her bedroom, seriously discussing the effect of various rising and ascendant zodiac signs on one’s personality when your phone starts to ring. Kie expects you to let it ring like you always do, having learned fairly quickly that calling you was not the right way to get a hold of you, but seeing JJ’s name flash on the phone you slide to answer it.
“Hey, J!” You cheerfully answer, shifting on Kie’s bed to cross your legs underneath you. She gives you a questioning look, but you just wave her off. Surely she knows about JJ’s affinity for calling over text.
“Hey (y/n/n) what’cha doin’?” He asks. You pick at the frayed edges of your jean shorts as he speaks, fighting the blush that threatens to break out every time JJ calls you by a nickname.
“Nothing important, just hanging out with Kie,” you answer. She playfully gasps and shoves you causing you to laugh. ‘I’m important!’ she mouths at you.
“Okay, great. Did you want to maybe want to head out on the Pogue, maybe do some fishing? John B said we could use it.”
“Sure! I’ll just ask-“
“Wait!” He quickly cuts you off, “wait I was thinking just the two of us could hang out, I miss my best friend.”
“Okay weirdo, pick me up at the dock by Kie’s?” You ask, even though you know he’ll say yes. It’s not often JJ tells you ‘no’.
“Can do, see you in a bit,” he replies, hanging up before you can reply back.
“You don’t mind, do you?” You ask Kie, realizing you two had planned to hang out the whole afternoon.
“Nah,” she smirks at you, “But that was kinda weird don’t you think? Neither you or JJ ever pick up your phones when you’re called”
“What are you talking about? JJ exclusively communicates via phone calls” You tell her, giving her a weird look.
“I have literally never spoken with JJ over the phone in all the years we’ve been friends,” she replies back, mirroring your strange look.
“That’s… really weird” You reply, but you don’t have time to think on it. JJ will be waiting for you by the docks, and the longer he waits the higher the chances he does something stupid in kook territory. “Anyway, I gotta go!” You quickly gather your stuff, shoving it in your crossbody bag and rush out of her room and house.
“We’ll talk about this later!” She calls at your retreating form, but you just hustle it to the docks.
As you predicted, he’s waiting at the docks for you. You can’t help the wide smile that breaks out on your face as you spot him. He’s shirtless, the sun reflecting off the wide plain of his sun-kissed chest. He grins back as he offers you a hand to help you onto the boat. You stand beside him as he steers the boat out onto the open water, standing in comfortable, companionable silence.
A short while later, after JJ’s found the ‘perfect fishing spot’, you’re laying on the bow of the ship in just your bikini, attempting to even out the farmer’s tan you’d accidentally gained last week when you stayed out in the sun with a t-shirt on.
“Hey J?” You call out, sitting up as he starts to reel in his catch.
“Yeah?” He asks, face full of concentration, the little frown between his eyebrows present and his tongue slightly sticking out his mouth. You gather whatever he’s caught is heavy, as his arms strain to reel it in.
“Why do you always call me? Even when I text you first?” Whatever he thinks you were going to ask, that definitely wasn’t it as he looks over at you in surprise, letting go of the reel and losing his catch. He looks back down at the water.
“Uh, I dunno I guess I just prefer talking on the phone to texting.” He answers, one hand still on the fishing rod, the other moving up to rub the back of his neck. He’s not looking at you, and you can’t help but let your earlier conversation with Kie run through your head.
“That’s not what Kie said,” you tell him quietly.
You see his Adam’s apple bop as he swallows, before admitting to you, “I dunno, I guess I just want to hear your voice.”
It’s quiet for several seconds, as you slowly get up and make your way over to him. He looks embarrassed, eyes still scanning the water rather than look into your own. You place a hand on his arm, and watch as he turns down to look at it.
“Aren’t you going to ask why I always answer?” He looks up into your eyes finally, imploring you to keep talking. “I like the sound of your voice, too.” You admit with a smile. Half a second later and he’s finally kissing you the way he’s wanted to for months now, one hand holding the back of your head, the other abandoning the fishing rod in favor of gripping your waist.

For the OC relationship Ask: 16. What does an average day look like for your OTP?
Andrea Levantine da Firenze is my fan character for the Italian Renaissance era of the Assassin’s Creed series. Currently, the majority of her story takes place before the events of ACII. She is paired with Federico Auditore da Firenze and had a previous relationship with Vieri de’ Pazzi.
The day would start with Federico sneaking out of her room just as the sun breaks the horizon because, unlike Ezio, he has to sense to not be caught. Most of the time she doesn’t wake up, he presses a light kiss to her forehead and heads out the window before the city begins to awake.
For the beginnings of the day they’re apart. As an unmarried noblewomen, Andrea is expected to learn the skills of a wife of her status. She is taught textile crafts, such as embroidering, but her main teachings are in managing finances, supervising servants, entertaining guests, and general running of the household. If her dance master, Guglielmo Ebreo, has been hired for an event she would spend a good portion of the day at his studio with the other dancers rehearsing for it. She would be escorted there by a male servant and, if he is available, Federico would be there to escort her when rehearsal is over.
Most of Federico’s day is spent at the bank or, if he’s been fired already, running errands for Giovanni. If he is not doing one of those then he is most likely training with La Volpe or teaching Ezio free running.
Since this is before she learns of the Assassin’s and enters training, their activities stay at ground level though Federico does try and even once succeed in getting her on the rooftop via a ladder to watch the sunset. They’d go for aimless walks around the city or gardens surrounding it. If they’re hungry they will go the the market for a snack of some bread or fruit. Their favorite non-competitive activity to do is people watching. They would find a place observe the comings and goings of the city while sitting close to one another and holding hands, Federico occasionally peppering kisses to her cheek. If she had rehearsal that day, Andrea would be excited to show Federico what they had been working on so they’d head to the lower levels that run alongside the River Arno where there’s space and it’s more secluded to dance together.
For dinner, they usually eat at the Auditore’s as Maria always has an extra seat ready and quite frankly is happy to have another female present. Andrea loves the family atmosphere and sometimes even her mother, Necia, will also come because otherwise it is just the two of them alone during meals.
After dinner, they will socialize with the family until it is time to retire for the night and Federico will escort her home. Whether he returns before morning is an entirely different matter though. This is the time when they can appreciate each other’s company the most as they’re behind closed doors—when this first started to become routine Andrea brought up a pair of wine glasses to keep in her room. They’ll often have sex but even just cuddling and talking about nothing in particular was enjoyed as Andrea’s love language is time spent together and Federico’s is touch. Eventually, they’d fall asleep together. Rinse and repeat.
Thank you for the ask Nicole! 💜

Sometimes, people have different--very different--sets of headcanons and sets of ships etc for a given piece of media and cast of characters because they have basically different understandings of who those characters are.
A lot of times, that’s just because every fan as their own unique life experience to apply when engaging with and interpreting a work, so they see different things reflected back.
But when it comes to what I call Legacy Characters--characters that have had their story told and retold, adapted and readapted, reinvested and reset time and again; such as comic book characters--a huge part of who a fan understands a character to be is determined by what versions of that character they’re familiar with, what aspects of different versions have coalesced in their brain to form their sense of that character in general. Usually, the biggest influence there is which version of a character that fan encountered first.
I see both knock-down drag-out fights and casual disrespectful disparaging comments within some fandoms--especially big comics fandoms like Marvel--that on the surface of them are more of the typical dumb “my interpretation is the only right one and anyone who disagrees is wrong and Doesn’t Understand The Media” stuff, but that I am SO SURE mostly boils down to this issue of having very different but all equally legitimate senses of the characters from having familiarity with different appearances of the character, or in a different order.
For instance--using what I find to be the most glaring case as an example--the Marvel shipping wars amongst Steve/Bucky, Steve/Tony, Sam/Steve, Bucky/Natasha, and (increasingly) Sam/Bucky shippers. Sometimes the Pepper/Tony, Pepper/Natasha, and Bruce/Tony shippers join the fray.
These conflicts get so nasty. Even a lot of the more chill shippers, when prompted, have very ugly things to say about ships other than their own and the people who support them. Allegations of racism, misogyny, fetishization, and general toxicity run rampant and are often talked about as though they are the only possible reasons someone could ever have for shipping or not shipping a given pair.
I want to make it clear that I personally do ship or have shipped several of the above, including ones that mutually exclude each other. There’s a few I’m neutral on up there, and one that kinda squicks me--we’ll get to that later.
Every single one of them is a perfectly good ship. None of them are inherently fucked up in any way and I will not hear any argument to the contrary.
Do some supporters of these ships get overzealous and obnoxious? Yes, that’s kinda why we’re talking about it, but that’s not a problem with any of the ships themselves.
I’ve noticed some patterns around people being into particular ones of these ships and their personal histories with various Marvel media.
Steve/Tony: mostly comics fans at this point, either were into the comics before the MCU became a thing or the early days of the MCU got them into the comics and they’re now more into the comics than the films. Because there’s a LOT of material in the comics to support the ship! There’s so much! Including the fact that in one comics reality where Tony is a woman, she and Steve get married!
Now, there was a ton of this’ere Stony fic that got churned out in the early days of the MCU, a lot of it from fans getting into this world for the first time through the phase 1 movies, at which point other potential partners for these guys either hadn’t been introduced as characters yet, or hadn’t been fleshed out. A lot of film-main (as opposed to comics-main) Stony shippers moved away from the pairing as the MCU continued, Bucky became the counterpoint of Steve’s Character arc, Sam got brought in, Pepper and Bruce each got more screen time, and the dynamic between Steve and Tony in the films got increasingly adversarial in a way that’s less sexy more fucked up.
The battle cry against Stony from other factions, especially from the Steve/Bucky camp is usually “but they’re so toxic!” and, I mean, yeah--if your sense of these characters is primarily based on how they are in the MCU, they are. But in my experience, even if they’re working MCU events and settings, the Steve and Tony being imagined by Stony shippers aren’t really that Steve and Tony.
Steve/Bucky: look, Stucky is an MCU thing. Articles have been written and published about the fact that the dynamic between Steve and Bucky in the MCU follows the beats of an epic romance to a T. The basis for this ship is all there on screen--throw in a little bit of history nerd mojo and you’re in deep.
By my observation and estimation, most new or formerly-very-casual Marvel fans who came in via the films and remained film-mains, and who are inclined to not-strictly-heteronormative shipping at all went the Stucky route. Folks who initially shipped Stony then switched to Stucky are pretty common. People starting with Stucky and then switching to any other ship with Steve to the exclusion of Stucky? Very rare. And while for a lot of people Stucky is their OTP in the strictest sense, I do see a lot of Stucky shippers who are here for other ships as well, either in an alternate realities kinda way or an amicable exes/polyamory kinda way.
The only people I’ve seen who have a problem with Stucky as a ship (other than “my ship is a different ship, therefore this one is bad and wrong”) are comics-mains whose sense of Steve and Bucky is heavily informed by runs of the comics in which Bucky is significantly younger than Steve and kid sidekick type figure. For them, the dynamic between the general forms of these characters leans mentor/student or protector/charge, so the inclination is to read the MCU relationship as fraternal, because it being romantic is squicky based on their sense of the characters.
Sam/Steve: comics-mains, film-mains with significant comics familiarity, film-mains who just aren’t into Stucky for one reason or another, or film-mains who are just really into Anthony Mackey which is a perfectly valid reason to get behind a ship. People who know Falcon from the comics seem much more likely to be into this ship and also more invested in this ship. I’m not qualified to say much about support for this ship from the comics themselves because my personal familiarity with Marvel comics doesn’t include much of Sam Wilson at all, but I am absolutely qualified to say there’s support from the films, especially CA:WS.
The worst vitriol against this ship tends to come from overzealous Stucky OTP shippers who really need to remember that fandom is supposed to be fun, and flat out racists. That must be acknowledged and needs to be addressed. Fandom racism in general, and against Sam in particular is a thing and it can absolutely be a factor in shipping.
However it’s not inherently racist to just not ship Sam/Steve because you see them as bros, or because Stucky is your OTP, or because you ship Sam with someone else, or whatever. Worthwhile to take a minute to examine why you don’t ship it, if you don’t, and check that for racial bias in how you view and treat Sam as a character, especially if you’re white.
Sam/Steve and Stucky are the two ships I see coexist the most! A lot of people ship both of them separately and exclusive from one another, but a lot of people also go ether the OT3 or the “Steve and Sam were definitely a thing for while there but now they’re not” route.
Bucky/Natasha: comics-mains or film-mains with significant comics familiarity, particularly for the comics worlds in which Bucky and Natasha are a couple, which seems self explanatory as to why that correlates. Not a lot for it in the films, Nat and Buck don’t interact much in the films that we see, and they’re kinda trying to kill each other in much of what we do see. But, like I said, they’re a thing in some of the comics so there we have that.
This is the one that squicks me. Clearly it’s a super valid ship; depending on the canon it’s a canon ship. Frankly, they make sense together, canon or not--their individual backgrounds as spysassins and with brainwashing etc means they’d be able to understand one another in ways no one else around them really can. But my personal amalgamation of these characters from the films and what comics I’m familiar with has Bucky having been Natasha’s teacher when she was a kid in Red Room. So I cannot ship it, I can’t do it.
The fact that I personally am squeaked by it has absolutely no impact on the fact that it’s a good ship, and the fact that it’s a good ship cannot and does not negate the fact that it squicks me.
Bucky/Sam: okay, there’s not a lot of this out there yet, but what there is seems to mostly be coming from film-mains who either don’t ship or co-ship Stucky and/or Sam/Steve, and who really liked the dynamic between these two in Civil War, and I guarantee you we’re about to get so much more of this ship with Falcon and Winter Soldier premiering. I’ve already seen some hate directed at this ship from the same places Sam/Steve gets hate. I predict, though, that this one will also get co-shipped alongside Stucky by the less strictly OTP of those shippers and I’m curious to see what the dynamic ends up being between Bucky/Sam shippers and Sam/Steve shippers as this camp grows.
In conclusion, I guess, note that not shipping a ship doesn’t have to mean attacking that ship (and it shouldn’tI) and not liking a ship, even being deeply uncomfortable with a ship for your own reasons doesn’t mean that ship is bad. We’ve all got our own individual sets of experiences both in life and with the characters in our fandoms that can dramatically change how we see those characters and their relationships to one another. This gets especially complicated and diverse with Legacy Characters like those from sprawling long-running comics multiverses. Someone’s understanding and interpretation being different from yours does not make either of you wrong!
As long as no one is an asshole about it it, it’s actually really interesting and cool to compare interpretations and see how your understandings overlap and differ, to think about what bits of canon have been formative for you and what personal experience may have made you inclined to interpret certain things certain ways.
Fandom is supposed to be fun. Shipping is supposed to be fun. You can and should hype up and express love for your own ships without tearing down others.

let's hear about FFVIII seifer, if you're still doing this XD
Why I like them: You know my tastes. A green-eyed man is introduced throwing fireballs around, is kind of a condescending jerk but in a fun way, instigates deep conversations on high ground while staring at the sunset...Well, before we even get to villainy, immolation, and redemption arc, I start going “Is this a favorite character?” I’m joking...kind of. Some of that does factor in, even the fire.
Okay, so my favorite thing about Seifer’s arc is that, in the limited focus he’s given, he’s complex and layered from the beginning, and his villain arc is a clear and fascinating illustration of “No man chooses evil because it is evil; he only mistakes it for happiness, the good he seeks” ….with a side of brainwashing.
Let’s break this down:
What are some of the words used to describe him by those that know him (by himself, by Squall, by Fuu and Rai)? Romantic. Idealistic. Sensitive. He is the one who believes in making a difference in the world--not just as a wish or goal, but as an imperative to do what your heart says is right even if it’s going to cost you--where Squall is just follow-the-orders-and-do-the-job. If you’re already reading this and objecting, I’m not saying Squall doesn’t care...obviously he does, defrosting Mr. Go Talk to a Wall and getting him to a place where he admits how many layers of mask he wears is his character development...but Seifer isn’t just a hothead. He wears his heart on his sleeve.
Don’t get me wrong. I am not trying to deny that Seifer can be an abrasive, self-serving, hypocritical jackass sometimes, who can fight dirty, wants to “wreak some havoc,” and has a history as a bully--though, gentlefolk of the jury, I submit to the courts that he puts on a tough act like Squall does and they are both different flavors of trying to mimic toxic alpha male--but let’s not forget that some of his establishing character moments are throwing out his future to disobey orders because he sees that the higher-ups have possibly misjudged the situation and civilians could be in danger, and, again, going AWOL because he thinks Squall and Rinoa could be killed. And he calls himself the white knight and holds up a code of honor until the end, even though it gets twisted. He is about duty and honor, with honor even over duty.
Oh, this was only going to be the beginning. I haven’t even begun to touch on what I would want to touch on--this is just surface personality and the beginning of the game before we even get to joining Sorceress Edea, and even then not all I would say-- but this post isn’t actually supposed to be my Ted talk on what you missed if you just think of Seifer as a recurring boss fight. Let’s move on.
ONE MORE THING ACTUALLY. Even though we see a lot of Seifer at his worst, you can use Fujin and Raijin as a mirror. What do they say near the end of the game if we paraphrase/summarize? They knew pretty early on, before even the senseless slaughter and torture era that Seifer was going down a dark path with the sorceress, but they knew it wasn’t him and stayed with him, not because they agreed with his actions, wanted power, or out of fear, but to take care of him and try to break through to him--and not because they are saints, but because he, despite what had happened in the past year, is the type of person who deserves and inspires that kind of loyalty. Let’s think on that.
Now the rest goes under a read more, because I am going to keep rambling and be wordy
Why I don’t: He can be an asshole, and he’s an asshole in an embarrassing way. As in, if one is trying to say he’s not the little punk his KH counterpart is, you remember he still uses the insult chickenwuss (though that is a legacy insult/nickname since he’s known Zell since childhood--and, fyi, Squall uses it too) and he had a little gang in school. Even once he’s a military commander of an evil army set on world domination, he has some moments where his level of petty undermines him.
Favorite episode (scene if movie): The Dollet mission
Favorite line: Sorry, not sorry that the following is my favorite exchange of lines and that the prison torture scene is another of my favorite scenes. For context, Seifer has captured Squall, has him hanging up on the wall in crucified hero imagery, implied to be shirtless even though his character model isn’t because they talk about scar tissue or lack thereof from a recent shoulder injury/Squall being stabbed in the chest/shoulder area. Seifer has been electrocuting Squall for information. By this point, I might as well have put the whole scene here. Also, I am now going to blame Squall and Seifer text boxes in FFVIII for my own abuses of ellipses...
Seifer: " I was hoping you'd be there, Squall. So... how'd I look in my moment of triumph? My childhood dream, fulfilled. I've become the sorceress' knight."
Squall: [internal monologue] ...Sorceress' knight... ...His...romantic dream...? But... Seifer... Now, you're just a…[Out loud] "... torturer."
[Squall passes out.]
Seifer: "What did you say? [Steps closer] Passed out cold, eh? This is the scene where you swear your undying hatred for me! The tale of the evil mercenary versus the sorceress' knight!”
This isn’t just me all “mmm, tension.” Seifer has passed the moral event horizon, and it’s not just faceless NPCs that are collateral damage anymore. We’ve seen him on screen torture the protagonist, who is also one of the only people who he’s shown to have a real bond with that goes beyond superficial. Then we get this and see Seifer thinks he’s the good guy still, on a noble mission where he’s had to make painful sacrifices, and Squall is a representative of the power-hungry evil. Seifer’s been playing a different game, and had his will twisted via magic.
Favorite outfit: The Amano art where the white coat is cast off and he’s wearing the simple black shirt and black jeans under it. Symbolic? Maybe. I wouldn’t give up the coat though. I love the long white/gray coat, the outer embodiment of wanting to wear the white hat, but the desire easily getting tarnished, and the red cross that turns into a sword and becomes Seifer’s symbol and soon to appear other places, emblazoned nice and big on the sleeve. It’s the Cross of Saint James. TRADITIONALLY red represents the blood of Christ, the three lilies represent the honor of the apostle and reference Christ as lily of the valley, and the sword shape represents the torture that St.James suffered before his murder. HOWEVER, my opinion is that here it’s more vague/altered symbolism (For starters, there are other gods not the Christian God in this world) with a side of “looks cool.” We still have something that clearly calls to mind a mission from on high, innocence in the lilies, blood and blood cost, and then war/violence with the sword. And I love it.
OTP: Seifer/Squall. I should not even start, but lest you think I am just in it for kinky torture scenes: We have these two who, in the beginning, are generally callous or mocking toward everyone, but make each other laugh/smile, see who each other are underneath and describe each other in “soft” terms even if they tease each other for it, repeatedly check in on each other to see if the other is okay, respect each other’s opinion and skills, and...you get the idea. In the words of Zell Dincht, I thought you two were rivals, but you’re all buddy-buddy.
Pause for a second and let’s just say first impression. That opening fight where they scar each other’s faces? It takes place outside Balamb Garden and the area is shown so we see they are alone. Squall passes out. Squall wakes up in the infirmary within the Garden base. Squall has to explain what happened; people don’t already know. This kind of implies after Squall passed out, Seifer, bleeding from a head wound himself, picked Squall up and carried him home, allowing himself to collapse only when Squall was being safely tended to, because he’s that extra. This is his first (okay, second, after fireballs and face slashing) action in the game even though it’s offscreen. I mean, he could have also just called for help/ran for help, but that’s less fun.
Seifer is so concerned with being a badass, but he’s admits to Squall all he’s ever wanted was to be the fairytale knight, not a mere soldier. Vulnerability and confession he wants romance....with the first time it’s brought up in game being while they are watching the sun set together, the traditional Square Red Sunset of Shipping.
Seifer hesitates to defy orders, not for himself, but until he sees Squall is with him. Even though there were other “children of destiny” who all came from the same orphanage, Squall and Seifer were the ones who were never apart, never adopted until it was by a military/mercenary training program, and, even though it may speak more to brotherly than romantic from some angles, there’s a feeling of being the same, knowing each other down to the atoms, adopting an us against the world mindset that trumps trying to best each other when it comes down to it because they are the only constant. When Squall has his breakdown/ breakthrough of why he pushes people away/doesn’t let himself care/tries not to need anyone because people leave/are taken from him and he is scared he isn’t worthy of love and happiness until Rinoa challenges him, this may seem like a dismissal of Seifer, but you can also look at it from “I had no friends or family. I didn’t even have interest in speaking to anyone. I strived to be an unfeeling machine, because all emotion is pain...But also I couldn’t go 48 hours without seeing Seifer.”
Yeah, yeah, we know their main form of hanging out was beating the tar out of each other, but sometimes, especially in older media, this was its own brand of subtext. For more on how Seifer miiiight just view sparring let’s point out that “Isn’t this ROMANTIC?” and “Kneel” as a less easily interpreted as innuendo version of “I want you on your knees” are battle quotes even in Kingdom Hearts sooo draw your own conclusion.
We get a line where Squall makes it clear these were friendly matches looked at as pushing their limits beyond what they are allowed to in sanctioned spars, and he feels prepared to take on anything now because of Seifer. Is it healthy communication in real life? No! Is this real life? No! Plus, the facial scar was an accident, pretty clearly...on Seifer’s side...I could write another essay on how Seifer draws first blood, but it’s because on Squall’s failed block, AND THEN SQUALL GETS ANGRY AND RETALIATES WITH CLEAR PURPOSE AND MAKES THE OPENING SHOT INTO THE FIRST SIGN GOOD VERSUS BAD GUY ISN’T SO CLEAR CUT (even though they both shouldn’t have been going so hard in a friendly training match to begin with).
Seifer’s later, repeated threats/expressed desire to give Squall additional scars once he goes evil? That is a different animal, and a horrible one, objectively. Not objectively? No comment. Okay, one comment. Mark you as mine. Two comments. He knows Squall’s lost some memories and he can’t stomach being the next thing forgotten so Squall needs physical reminders.
Hmmm, I was supposed to be talking about the ship, not just the sparring and scars. We can wrap it up with a Marge Simpson. “I just think they’re neat”
BUT ONE MORE THING
Squall’s jacket when he becomes Leon in Kingdom Hearts. His outfit is mostly the same, right? Except the back of the jacket now has a red patch of an emblem (of Rinoa’s angel wings, not Seifer’s cross...for the OT3 feel), and his fight with Sora he throws a fireball like Seifer’s signature. Just, you know, if you want bonus references/feeling.
Brotp: Fuu and Rai. They are willing to commit war crimes with this man, nurse him back from death’s door, and go into exile with him if he can’t return to a normal life even after a redemption arc. This section deserves to be long, but I am beginning to get talked out. Don’t take that as devaluing the friendship though. I’m glad he was allowed to keep his ride or dies in Kingdom Hearts. FRIENDSHIP! They love him, ya know?
Head Canon: What we see of him at the end of the game is a temporary situation and after he heals and refreshes for awhile he’d go back to Balamb and face consequences for his actions, and probably insist on consequences instead of leaning into “an evil sorceress bespelled me and slowly took my free will.” No hiding away in the wilderness. No crossing into and living his life in Esthar. No, “but in the end I broke free and would have been an active, onscreen part of saving the world if Square had let me join the party!” He would insist on being cast into a deep, dark cell. Squall uses pull to get him pardoned, but not before just, flat out, yelling at him for being a martyr.
Unpopular opinion: He did love Rinoa. It may have been a “shallow love,” but he wasn’t just dating her to pass time or because she played into his damsel who needs a hero mindset. There was emotion. He was prepared to die for her and Squall in Timber, and almost did--only being saved by Sorceress Edea...which wasn’t a kindness, but it all worked out in the end. Sure, he gets mind-controlled into using Rinoa as, basically, a human sacrifice and it isn’t Rinoa he wants stripped and brought to his room when we’re taking prisoners, but he cared about her. He does taunt her about their past relationship, but we’ve already established this is just part of his communication skillset. Yes, I will elaborate more if asked, though it’s more feeling based than text based.
A wish: If there’s ever a sequel, let him have put out the good in the world that was his dream and be seen as a hero. Let us see a matured and peaceful Seifer.
An oh-god-please-dont-ever-happen: My one fear if they ever remake FFVIII instead of just porting it, is that some of the creative team have said they like the fan theory where you are dead part way through the game and the rest is a dying dream or purgatory. It’s creative stuff; I will say that. It’s not my favorite, and I don’t agree, but those kinds of fan interpretations when they go in depth are super cool. PLEASE LET THE INTEREST IN IT JUST BE THE SAME AS MINE OF THINKING IT’S CREATIVE BECAUSE MAKING THIS CANON WOULD BE SO, SO BAD FOR EVERY CHARACTER.
5 words to best describe them: stubborn, misguided, paladin, romantic, petty
My nickname for them: I don’t really have one

1&2 for general, ships, characters & story
General
1. If you had to join a sect, which would you join?
Ahahaha oh, oh no, the difficult question!!! *covers face*
Tbh I would. join the Lan sect and then be like, the most problematic Lan ever to Lan XD (”But James, don’t you have a reflexive fight me!!! response to rules and authority....?” yes maybe so shush now that’s why I said problematic.)
Like the thing is. I DO like being a nerd, and I DO like the idea of cultivating with music certainly moreso than with swords look I do not enjoy physical exertion a lot of the time, and I semi-regularly become full of emotion and start wailing to whoever’s nearby about wanting to live in somewhere as beautiful as the Cloud Recesses??? It is SO lovely there. Also the only other option I was considering, the Jiang, tbh gives me the impression that I would die miserably of humidity in Yunmeng sooooo :/
But also for real I am... a lot more chill with following rules when I agree with them about their purpose being to better you ethically and also to form a cohesive community, and I’ve chosen to adhere to them by my own will? Uhh, demonstrably lmao. But yeah I’d definitely still be Arguing about things and eating hot peppers in Caiyi town and playing the “it’s not really drinking if you neutralise the alcohol” game ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
2. Your three favorite characters?
*lies dramatically on the ground* How am I supposed to pick just threeeeee???
But ok, so, Jin Guangyao, and then *spins the roulette wheel for today’s picks* probably Lan Xichen and Wei Wuxian, averaged out?? But I have a lot of feelings about Everyone ;u;
Ships
1. What’s your OTP?
*chinhands* Surely we all know this by now :P
2. What’s your NOTP? Or any other ship you hate?
Uhhhhh hhhhhhh hahaha ngl I usually feel guilty talking about notps in public??? Probably bc often as not it’s more about “90% of the content I see in the fandom is relatively fluffy and/or mundane and/or lacking in meaty conflict and therefore bores me to tears” oops.
But I will say tbh that I have a pretty visceral unhappy NOPE reaction to LXC/NHS in. Probably 95% of contexts ever. Unless I feel particularly into reading, like, sex-as-self-harm fic on any given day, lmao.
Characters
1. If you could date any character from MDZS, who would you pick?
Lol, none of them.
2. If you had to kill a character, who would you kill?
Save a sex worker or POW, toss JGS off a cliff :) (predictable answer but hey) (I mean, this is distinct from an answer to “who would I kill at a point in the story prior to their actual death,” but. I would be remiss at existing if I didn’t take the opportunity to say I would kill JGS given the slightest excuse.)
Story
1. If you could make one major story change, what change would you make? Why?
Ahhhh, hell. Actually, you know what? I would slightly revamp Qin Su’s character to have her be aware of her parentage since roughly the same time as JGY is, and have them both separately keeping that a secret from one another for roughly the same reasons. She’s disturbed by the letter from Bicao simply because of the implications around someone wanting to make this knowledge public. (On the other hand: she DOES still ask JGY about how Rusong died, and IS still angry and horrified by the attitude he takes to that question and the implication that he was the one who orchestrated that death, because wtf just because his parents were siblings doesn’t mean he should have been anything other than a happy, perfectly loved, alive child??? Get a fucking grip!)
...And then I think. if she does still end up dying* then it’s probably gonna be directly NHS’s fault, in this context? Because “oh okay I was not expecting her to be chill with that, that’s an unpleasant surprise; well I still gotta ruin JGY’s marriage somehow SHRUG”. But on the other hand I really really don’t love all the women dying, so maybe instead he just reveals her complicity publicly and destroys her reputation and turns her into a pariah? :/ Which is still unpleasant but at least isn’t. death.
Anyway the reason why is like. Partially just aesthetic preferences!! I like “morally questionable power couple” much better than I like “evil dude and morally pure innocent victim wife”. (I in fact very much dislike the latter. Looking @ u, late Numenor.) And also partially - I very much like the additional resonance of “JGY underestimates he sweet and kind people around him and doesn’t notice that they can also have sneaky ruthless streaks” that this would add re: Huaisang? While also for that matter foreshadowing the Huaisang reveal?
And, yeah, a lot of other changes I would “like” to make, honestly fall more into the genre of “things I would like as fix-it fics” rather than changes I want to make to the base story, because so many of the pieces I’ve gone “augh but what if that were different!” are just. structurally important to MDZS’s tragic and other thematic elements. Messing with this aspect to Qin Su’s story doesn’t have to make the base plot non-tragic, but does improve on a few issues I have with e.g. morally polarised female characters who all die anyway.
2. Which character would you bring back to life?
!!???!!? when are we talking, here! in what fashion?
....okay, so for the sake of not making my head explode with potential options, I’m going to limit this to cases of characters who are 100% confirmed dead, being brought back either as a fierce corpse or via sacrifice-summon, generally within the main timeline of the story (i.e. not several decades post-canon).
And of that set under those conditions, I’m gonna pick Jiang Yanli. Look. I LOVE the possibilities of fierce corpse!Jiang Yanli. As a scenario it’s both incredibly fucked up but also the possibilities for really emotional reconciliation between all three Yunmeng siblings in the present timeline??? Logistically I think this would have to take place in a bookverse-style “LWJ carries WWX off to the burial mounds post-Nightless City battle” situation... so like, in a fit of practically qi-deviating rage-grief, WWX reanimates JYL’s corpse right as she dies, a la Wen Ning? and then part of what he’s doing, half out of his mind, during the missing time in the Burial Mounds is working on bringing her spiritual consciousness to put back in there.
........there’s definitely more logistics to be worked out, most notably “where is she during the intervening decade?” but. I love the idea of Jiang Cheng’s anger being not only “you killed my sister” but also “YOU TURNED MY SISTER INTO A FUCKING ZOMBIE”. I love the idea of, eventually, her being ACTUALLY PRESENT to express some of her own opinions and feelings on how WWX & JC fighting over her death (& fierce corpse status) is rly fucked up. make them deal with her as an actual person who’s inconvenient in her wants and needs and willingness to always extend a hand to others, not just a place to hang all their messy emotions on! give her eventually a chance to bond with Jin Ling, and the awkwardness and grief about how much of his life she missed, interspersed with “!!!!! I get to have this back! feelings!”
Because also just in general, I’d really love to have her around to interact with all the characters in their fucked-up “one timeskip later” iterations, and her perma-dying really just robs us of that chance and it’s very rude!
Bonus: holy fuck what would it be like for all her talents and skills and weaknesses to suddenly be completely reversed? Extremely physically strong and capable now! But more likely to scare people than charm them. Can she still, like, taste food properly? Who knows. But wouldn’t THAT be a juicy situation to explore for her! :O

Review: Young Blood
This show isn’t actually “popular” internationally, and had limited success in China, but it’s got to be one of the best guzhuang dramas I’ve watched. The cinematography and fighting scenes might not be able to measure up to the big money productions, but the plot, acting, and characters were all amazing.
Look at how cute the cast is! The excellent chemistry between the actors really made this show a delight to watch.
Plot:
During the Qingli Era, troubling affairs brew underneath the prosperity and stability of the Northern Song Dynasty. To avoid war and protect the peace between its people, the Northern Song uses the name of “Mi Ge” (Secret Cabinet) to train young spies. For a variety of reasons and whether willing or unwilling, these six become the Seventh Room of Mi Ge after strict selection and examination: Yuan Zhong Xin, Zhao Jian, Xiao Jing, Wang Kuan, Xue Ying, Wei Ya Nei. Upon first entering the school, each acts out of their own self-interest, making a mess of their surroundings and causing headaches for their teachers. After going through a series of life-and-death missions, the previously ignorant boys and girls gradually mature and form bonds with one another, devoting their determination and loyalty to defending the peace. Burying their names, they become unknown legends within the river of history.
From left to right: Xiao Jing, Xue Ying, Yuan Zhongxin, Zhao Jian, Wang Kuan, Wei Yanei during their first mission to the prison.
Cast:
Zhang Xincheng (张新成) as Yuan Zhongxin (元仲辛)
Zhou Yutong (周雨彤) as Zhao Jian (赵简)
Zheng Wei (郑伟) as Xue Ying (薛映)
Wang Youshuo (王佑硕) as Wang Kuan (王宽)
He Haochen (禾浩辰) as Wei Yanei (伟衙内)
Su Xiaotong (苏晓彤) as Pei Jing (裴景)
My Opinions:
Plot (My Rating - A):
This show is loosely split into four cases/sections:
Beginning/Introduction Arc
Prison Arc
Chen Gong Arc
Yun Ni Arc
Final Arc
My personal favorite is the Chen Gong Arc since there, you can finally see all the members of the Seventh Room coming together to plot. But honestly, I have to say I loved all of the arcs a lot, since the writer made everything interesting and complex. The writer loves plot twists, so beware, there are tons of plot twists throughout every single arc.
Throughout the series, we see growths of characters as individuals, relationships between characters, and the overall growth of trust between the members of the Seventh Room. Many complex themes are mentioned as well, the most important of which is what’s more important you, or the country? And also how youthful independence and courage can overcome all sorts of troubles. It’s a really well-written story and I really hope there’s a season 2!
Characterization (My Rating - A+)
Technically speaking, all of the characters are cliches, but as the writer gives them room to show their weaknesses, their strengths, their ability to love, to hate, and their overall growth, you end up seeing them as humans, not just characters.
Yuan Zhongxin’s character is supposed to be the kind of person that thinks he’s above it all, prideful, arrogant and independent. He would do things without ever taking anyone else’s feelings into concern. But eventually he grows to become a person who loves his friends and would never do anything to hurt them, even if it hurts himself in the process.
Zhao Jian is my favorite female lead out of all the other female leads in guzhuang dramas. She’s strong, independent, extremely smart and she’s not willing to listen to anyone. She also used to be an independent person full of new ideologies, but eventually learns to trust others, and act in accordance to her feelings. She wants all females to be empowered and learn that they are more than just a housewife.
Xue Ying doesn’t really talk all that much, but he's hilarious honestly. He also starts out as a selfish person, willing to throw other people under the bus to save himself, but eventually learns to be more open, trusting and also learns to appreciate his family.
Wang Kuan starts out the most moral and mature of them all. He refuses to throw people under the bus, and always works to make sure everything is fair and proper. He used to be someone that would listen to whatever others told him to do, but eventually grows to stand up for his own thoughts and beliefs.
Ya Nei is 100% the funniest character I’ve ever seen in guzhuang dramas. But he eventually grows from an idiotic, spoiled, playboy that believes money can solve everything, to someone mature, heroic and willing to sacrifice himself for the sake of his friends.
Xiao Jing is the cutest person ever! Her little facial expressions and her innocent personality is just so cute! Usually these kinds of characters are hated by the majority, but everyone seems to love Xiao Jing, because she’s not really stupid. She’s extremely cautious of others’ feelings. She eventually grows from a girl that can only really act on others orders, to someone who can solve major problems herself.
Acting (My Rating - A-)
Another reason why the characters are so lovable, is the fact that the acting was really good. They really brought out the personality in each and every character. Personally I think He Haochen was the best in his role as Ya Nei. He might be the comic relief of the group, but he can also really bring out tears. In a confrontation scene was his father, you could see how desperate, and conflicted he was in that particular situation. However, he’s also the most hilarious in funny scenes. I also think Su Xiaotong did really good as Xiao Jing, for this kind of silly, innocent and sweet character can easily be seen as annoying; yet Xiao Jing is anything but annoying.
Another one of the funniest scenes. Xiao Jing is supposed to take Wang Kuan to the Secret Department via a carriage, but she forgot to anchor the horses, the carriage ran away.
Even the majority of the actors are all newcomers or actors who have never had huge rules, they did an amazing job. They really made me believe that they were their characters. Fun fact, the actors are good friends in real life too, I watched a lot of the “behind the scenes” clips and they were really funny and cute. Zhang Xincheng even said two of his best friends on WeChat were Zhou Yutong and Wang Youshuo.
Romance (My Rating - A)
We have two official couples here, but really you could probably pair any members of the Seventh Room up with another and I’d totally be okay with it. The two main pairings are Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian and Wang Kuan and Xiao Jing.
Wang Kuan and Xiao Jing
Yuan Zhongxin and Zhao Jian
But I also love Xue Ying and Ya Nei, Wang Kuan and Yuan Zhongxin, Zhao Jian and Xiao Jing etc as well. Truly, as one poster here put it, a spin the wheel and any pairing as an OTP show.
Xue Ying and Ya Nei
Most importantly, the six members of the Seventh Room themselves are a big family, full of love and trust.
Costumes (A-) - The only problem I have is that Zhang Xincheng looks so good in modern dramas, they did not do his charisma justice with those horrible costumes. But I quite liked Xiao Jing and Zhao Jian’s costumes.
Cinematography (B+) - The director used a very pastel palette which I eventually got used to, but it I wished it was a little darker and less bright. But the Seventh Room of the Secret Cabinet looked quite beautiful.
Overall Rating: A (A+ in my book since I loved it so much, but A in general)
Recommend For: people looking for a well-written show full of suspense with tons of lovable characters and a show that mixes hilarity with mystery.
#Cdrama Review#cdrama#RECOMMEND RECOMMEND RECOMMEND#such an underrated show#shame that YouTube subs are only being uploaded now#if you understand Chinese go and watch it now!#The writing is really nice#young blood#大宋少年志#the show that made me realize how much I love Zhang Xincheng

Luke for the character asks?
favorite thing about them: Just how he’s written in general! He actually acts like a little kid but he’s precocious at the same time. Out of all the characters, Luke would be the best friend!
least favorite thing about them: How he speaks to Flora sometimes during the original trilogy. He’s fine in PL2, but he’s so suspicious of Flora when they first meet her in Curious Village. And then he keeps picking on her during PL3, saying she’s not taking their investigation seriously! Again, he’s 13 and he’s about to leave Layton during LF, so you understand if he’s a bit snappy. But that doesn’t mean he can take it all out on Flora!
favorite line: “It’s the only way to save everyone...” ;_;
brOTP: Luke and Emmy, Luke and Aurora, Luke and Layton... Luke and Everyone
OTP: Probably Luke/Arianna!
nOTP: It’s not a nOTP, but I don’t ship Luke/Flora romantically. But that said, it’s fine if people do ship them :) Really, it’s fine. It’s fine. It’s fine...
random headcanon: Older Luke got beat up one time when he visited London because people thought he was an escaped Clive Dove. Luke stayed away from London for a few years after that, and that’s one reason why he was so secretive about coming back to London with Marina. (I know, that’s a horrible headcanon.)
unpopular opinion: *Tries to write a fic where a dead Layton is brought back via the Detragon with Clark used as a host, thus forcing Luke to reconcile his love for his dad and the professor and eventually realise that he CAN LOVE BOTH OF THEM AT ONCE.
song i associate with them: Light by Sleeping At Last
favorite picture of them: Any picture with Luke generally being happ6 and hanging out with his friends
(Thanks!)

001 fourze for the fandom ask thing
Favorite character: Ryusei!
Least Favorite character: You can trace all my murderous thoughts to one Principal Hayami
5 Favorite ships (canon or non-canon): Ryusei/Tomoko, Kengo/Yuki
Character I find most attractive: Ryusei, though JK in his all black Gene outfit is amazing
Character I would marry: I would say Ryusei by virtue of being infatuated for six years (and counting!) - but he’s a taken man
Character I would be best friends with: Probably Yuki because I like people who are enthusiastic about their passions while being sweet at the same time
a random thought: Barring Kengo and JK, no one really goes through character development in Fourze. The series is more about navigating through the worst bits (either brought out by Switches or society) so that you can become a better version of who you are now
An unpopular opinion: Not sure what the general consensus is about Gamou being defeated via graduation ceremony, but it was more fitting than I thought it’d be
My Canon OTP: Ryusei/Tomoko *nudges at the Ultimatum movie*
My Non-canon OTP: Kengo/Yuki
Most Badass Character: Everyone in the Kamen Rider Club is a contender because you have everything from Kamen Riders to JK ripping up a script belonging to a sheep that could put you in a coma
Most Epic Villain: Virgo is pretty rad. Gemini is a hard second
Pairing I am not a fan of: Everything I don’t ship but I have no hard feelings towards any potential combo. People can ship whatever they want
Character I feel the writers screwed up (in one way or another): It nags me that Tomoko and Shun didn’t have another solo spotlight episode after the episode 1~12 string
Favourite Friendship: Gentarou and Kengo
Character I most identify with: Miura. It’s not easy, dealing with something that is beyond your control, even though you know it could ruin your future
Character I wish I could be: Miu. I want to develop more inner strength

6 Underground Thoughts!
I'm literally gonna talk about pretty much the entire movie so lots and lots of spoilers under the read more.
If you've already seen the movie, I would love to talk and debate and scream excitedly about the movie with you!
P.S. This got way longer than I expected.
I gotta say I really enjoyed the movie. Of course, there's some problems and continuity errors, etc. but I'll get to them after.
First of all, I love all the interactions between them. Found-family trope is my jam.
One and Four
Four looks up to One and seems like he tries to impress him.
He also calls One a likeable asshole.
"See that? That's called skill." Show off.
One was the one Four called to for help even though they all knew his way of leaving you behind if you can't keep up. And he stepped up and saved Four! That whole scene was so good!
I will admit though that how they first met is messed up. One basically kidnapped him, tied him down, and made Four think he was gonna shoot and kill him. Seven got it down when he called them a "family more screwed up than mine"
Two and Three
Badass lady and himbo (does Three count as a himbo?). Enough said.
I love every interaction they had together. I enjoyed their bickering and how they showed how they cared in their own way.
Tiny touches! The part near the end when Three lightly touches Two’s arm and she takes her hand out of her pocket so they could hold hands?! Nice.
When Two said "I would love to meet your mother." awwww! The way Three just brightens up!
Four and Seven
OTP! I never expected to come out with one, but here we are.
Look, I just love the concept of the free-spirited parkour expert being with the disciplined military operator.
Seven just immediately seemed to take Four under his wing and genuinely care about his well-being.
The others also expressed how they didn't want to leave Four behind but only Seven fought for them to stop.
Saved Four's life not once, but twice! It was almost instinctual and he didn't hesitate to do it.
"You're calling me Mister Seven from now on" Seven's inner dom coming out lol.
The names scene! "I'm Blaine. I just saved your life. What's your name?" and instead of listening to One’s order, he answers.
"Yeah, you look like a Billy."
Seven and One
One always kept his distance from everyone, used numbers instead of names so he wouldn't get attached, and had that horrid "can't keep up, get left behind" rule. So glad that Seven pushed back, from making the shot to save Four from both drowning and from falling to his death, questioning his rules about leaving people behind, and getting them all (except One, sadly) to say their real names.
Seven brought out One's heart and finally made him start to actually care for his team aka family. Like I'm certain that if it wasn't for him, One would have definitely left Four to die in Hong Kong and on the boat during the coup.
"You've got a soul, man. You should let it out."
Movie highlights and thoughts:
I called it! Like based on the screen time and focus on them from the trailers, I already knew Six was the most likely one to die and Four would probably be injured at worst.
The fucking dialogue in the opening! I can't even. Like “I’m gonna put this inside you, really deep.” and "ahhh! She's squirting!"
"So many fucking Vias in Italy." I love how it's canon that Four isn't that good with maps and would definitely get lost in Italy. Actually he's bad with directions period. "Where are you?" "Here." "Specifics!" "Right here." Four pls
Three trying to learn the language of each new place they go to. The best!
Did I already say Two is badass? Because she is. She really is. And they're all right when they said she'd be the most likely to survive.
Four and Six worked so well together in the car chase scenes and Four looked so sad when he saw Six's body in that car. Honestly if Six hadn't died so early in the movie and they got more interactions together, him and Four probably would've been my OTP.
I did enjoy how One had like momentary vulnerability like when Six died or when Four told them to leave him followed by the gunshots, etc. Those little moments where you can see that he did have feelings before he shoves them deep down and focuses back on the mission.
Best outfit is Four in that big white sweater with the red stripes. He looked so good.
I found the scene where Four asks One if he was a pig then spits at him weirdly hilarious. The spitting just felt so random and came out of nowhere.
Four sleeping is! So! Cute! And when Three starts loudly complaining, he just slowly opens one eye like he's going "are you fucking kidding me right now?!"
Another funny scene was when Four easy runs across the top of the crane and then it pans to the guards chasing him and they have both arms and legs on the crane and just slowly inching their way across.
Guy jokes about Noor. "Noor is dead. Say he's dead." "No, he's dead. He died." "Wait no. Wrong guy. He's alive!" jfc that was funny!
The coup song is so fire! I love it! Nice choice, Four.
Four's scream when that guy broke his arm just kills me. I kinda wish One made that guy's death a bit more painful and drawn out but I get that they were under some serious time constraints.
Actually any part where Four gets hurt... noooo bb
Now that I think about it, the fact that they have comms throughout the mission, like they can hear everything the others say, they can hear each other when they're fighting, when they get hit, everything. They heard when Three got shot in the face and Seven panicked, thinking that he just killed him. They heard Four screaming in pain when his arm broke and they couldn't do anything since they weren't there.
Seriously though, Ben's acting is so good! He's easily the best part of the movie. And his eyes! So green and so expressive!
“Fuck you!” “Fuck you!” “No you, fuck you!” jfc One and Three are hilarious together.
It was such a great scene when One told them he wouldn't go after Rovach bc he's going to save Four. Just. My heart. And "You’re breaking your own rules. I thought you didn't have a family". And Five's soft smile.
Four and Five are rock climbing buddies! Both their smiles can outshine the sun. They're so cute! (even though in the close-ups you can tell the rock is very obviously fake)
Ben and Adria are both so hot my little bi heart is ready to burst!
Also, how is Micheal Bay saying this movie isn't political? They had the US gov’t staging coups in third world countries and putting dictators into power, Russia arming Rovach and his military, chemical warfare, Rovach's whole speech to his generals about hitting where he is weakest like hospitals and schools, the "our president doesn't know how to spell Turgistan" line, revolution, overthrowing dictators, throwing Rovach down to the people for them to deal their own brand of justice, etc. There were so many things that just screamed politics!
Issues:
Holy hell the kill count of this movie is just insane. It becomes over the top so fast. Same with all the gratuitous gore.
Shaky af camera work.
Literally every explosion looked like those sparky fireworks. What.
Lots of continuity errors. Six having a disappearing and reappearing hat throughout the chase scene. Basically any scene involving water. Like Four and Two get completely soaked at one point, but in the next scene, they're completely dry. Or the part where Four is hanging upside down on the net and big dude is trying to untangle him so he’d fall but when it cuts back to them when Seven makes the shot, it's back to the part where the guy was choking Four.
Did anyone else notice all the skid marks on the roads even though they haven't officially driven on it yet? Didn't have enough budget left to remove or edit out the marks from all the rehearsals they did?
And why is One hanging the eyeball right over the phone screen? That's not where the camera is dude!
Did Two and Three seriously have sex with all those dead people around?! Shouldn't they be running since they killed the 4 generals and guards would likely be on their way??
Also, Ben's stunt double was obvious in almost every parkour stunt. Wow.
Why no Five backstory! I wanna know how she ended up joining the team!
They did Five dirty! She barely has lines or scenes, they took out her backstory, and gave her little to no character growth.
I know they're hinting at Four and Five getting together, but I just don't see it. They have barely any romantic chemistry together. Eye contact and smiling is not chemistry. It just isn’t.

Lauren's coming out...(long)
I started writing this, before Expectations was released. I thought it was better, to post the Consequences and Expectations post first. And, since I put some of this post, in that one, I had to do some rewriting.
I was first going to go into more detail, about how management, through Astroturfers, manipulated, what is in my opinion, the Camren truth, to fit the Laucy narrative. But, I decided, since I posted the other one first, I could skip all that, or the majority of it, and just get to the heart of the matter.
It is important, to always remember, THEY love to take a truth, and manipulate it, to fit a narrative. With that said, we now need to remember what Lauren said about her coming out process.
In her beautycon chit chat, she said that she had a hard time accepting her sexuality. That she had her "fuck it" moment, and knew who she loved and who she didn't. That she had a girlfriend at the time, she came out to her parents, and then she wrote her Op-ed about Trump supporters, and came out publicly...Then in the video, with Troye, she said that she didn't acknowledge she liked girls, until she was older, and "in this phase of my life". That she understood why people fear coming out, because where she grew up, people would have, "torn me apart".
She said, more, but I addressed some of it, in my last post. These are the things I'll be focusing on, for this post. I gave you, what I can see as the Camren time line, through 2012/April 2014. I believe Lauren's "fuck it" moment, came around the 1975 concert.
Her "fuck it" moment was important, because it's when she actually decided, for herself, that she didn't want to be, 'just friends', or even friends with secret benefits. She realized, and understood, her internal struggle, accepting herself, was causing her to push away, and lose someone very important to her.
So, once Lauren accepted herself, and the fact she likes girls, (one girl in particular) it was time to come out, to her parents and family. The big question is: When did she do this?
It is, in my opinion, Lauren came out as Bisexual, to her parents, around January of 2015. In March, of 2015, she didn't give a shit, who knew. She no longer tried to hide, nor deny, her sexuality, after that.
What does this tell us? Well, if she had a girlfriend, when she came out, to her family, and if she came out in January of 2015, then that girlfriend COULD NOT have been Lucy.
Lauren and Lucy, didn't "rekindle" their friendship, until sometime after Lucy's car accident, back in May of 2015. Lauren was already in the process, of tip-toeing out of the glass closet, through her Tumblr, BEFORE Lucy came back into the picture.
Lauren also said, she refused to acknowledge she liked girls, until she was older, and in this phase of her life. What does this mean? It means she denied her sexuality, until sometime AFTER X-Factor. We know this, already. We witnessed it.
Let's clarify something here. Lauren KNEW she was Bisexual, before X-Factor. She probably ALWAYS knew she liked girls, she just didn't want to acknowledge, admit, or act on that fact. She denied her truth, until after she got away from home, and Catholic School, and found herself in a friendlier, more accepting environment. There's also the fact, she finally met a girl, she couldn't hide, or deny her feelings for.
Though she tried. She continued to deny her truth, through mid 2013. She had a harder time, denying it, in late 2013 and early 2014. In the Spring of 2014, she accepted her truth, and could no longer deny or hide her true feelings. In 2014, she was older, and in this phase of her life. Camila was her inspiration, for admitting and accepting her sexuality.
The next thing we need to figure out, is when did Lauren and management, make the decision to bring her out of the glass closet. I mean, they had been monitoring her Tumblr, so they knew, she wasn't exactly hiding her sexuality, any more.
We also have to remember, there was no way in hell, THEY were going to let Camila, come out of the closet, or be considered anything but straight, when it comes to the general public. THEY chose her, as their next big Pop Star, and she needed a "straight" image, for that to happen.
So, they had to figure out a way, to get Lauren out of the glass closet, without bringing Camila out with her. March, 2015, seems to be the month, a lot of decisions were made. It was a very interesting month.
If you believe in the Camren ring, Lauren gave that ring, to Camila, in February. Lauren had her public "fuck it" moment, via Tumblr, in March. Camila turned 18 years old, in March, and that's also when THEY made the final decision, to start pushing Camila as a solo artist, and out of Fifth Harmony.
THEY ramped up the Taymila friendship, and was distancing Camila from the girls. In April, Candece Campbell was taking Camila to "private" dinner meetings, with Charlie Walk, and preparing for her first solo venture. April, 2015, is also when they started putting the rumors out there, about Camila and Michael.
Yes, I say rumor, because there were no pics, only a rag sheet article, saying a "source" saw them secretly meeting at a damn restaurant. They needed Camila, publicly "linked" to a man, to dispel the Camren rumors, and the Camren ring. They only wanted it to be "rumored", because they really wanted Camila to appear "available", as the possible "love interest" for her upcoming duet partner. Camichael came in right handy, for the subject of the eventual duet, as well.
Shawn, was the chosen duet partner, and they really wanted, and needed, people to ship them together. Hello Shawmila! Hello IKWYDLS! Goodbye Michael.
Yeah, I know. When Camila described her best date, she described her "secret dinner" with Michael, perfectly. Almost like it was ripped right out of the headlines. Unless Camila and or Michael, were the "inside source" that described that "Secret dinner date" to the media outlet, and described it as them "giggling like school kids", then it was all bullshit. A prepared answer from a prepared headline.
They now have Camila's "straight" image intact, with the rumored date with Michael. Then, they had her start hanging out with Shawn, all the time. That made the Shawmila shippers, flip their shit. Now, all they needed, was to find a female, to connect with Lauren, that wasn't Camila, but that could fit into Lauren's, (and Camren's) story.
What to do? What to do? It has to be someone, who could fit the narrative, and who also wouldn't mind the spotlight being placed on them, when it was time for Lauren to come out.
Hello Lucy, an aspiring model, wanna be artist, her father is famous, and she is already known to the fandom, as her and Lauren had been BFF's since middle school. For Lauren, Lucy is the perfect choice.
Management wise, she is also the perfect choice. Lucy was a College student, and had summers and long holidays, off. She went to school in NOLA, which was an easy stop for Lauren, while traveling to and from L.A. and Miami. It helped, that her father is a Sony Artist, so people will just assume Lucy is paying her own way, while following Lauren around. Hell, all Lauren has to do, is hang out with her best friend, and vise versa. It's a win win.
Now, that all the players are in place, it's time to start implementing the plan. Camila finds herself, smack dab in the middle of a hetero ship war, with Camichael, and Shawmila. Lauren takes some dude named Noah, to her birthday dinner. (this is important for later)
Camila and Shawn record IKWYDLS. While they are busy separating Camila from the girls, and the fandom, with Shawmila, a duet, and that stupid bullshit about Camila going behind the girls backs, Lauren is busy "rekindling" her friendship with Lucy.
Then, late July/early August, Camila done something she wasn't supposed to. They did an interview, the one where they all admitted to lying, and really got the rumors flying. The interviewer asked, "Who's the guy, that makes you go crazy?" Of course, Camila responded with "Why do you assume it's a boy?" You can tell, that was an unplanned, off the cuff, statement by Camila, because she didn't have a planned response, for the follow up. "Who's the girl that makes you go crazy?"...*crickets* Camila thought and thought, and the only girl, (that wasn't Lauren) she could come up with, was ED SHEERAN. Hey girl, hey!!!
THEY wanted Camila to stay far away from Lauren's coming out, but Camila wasn't having it. That pissed them off, so they decided to show her who was boss. THEY faked and "leaked" some very discriminating messages, that made Camila look like a racist bitch. This happened in early September. The sad part is, apparently, it's OK to have people think she is racist, but God forbid, people think she is gay. Sick and twisted logic, for a sick and twisted Industry!!!
Anyway, I digress. Towards the end of September, they had Lauren start putting the idea out publicly, that she might not be as straight as she lead folks to believe. During a press junket, for IILWAM, In one of the first interviews, Lauren answered a question about lessons learned from being in love with a monster. Lauren's response was, "...or whoever they are, because it might not be a boyfriend." (Keep in mind, this is after her trip with Lucy and Keena, to Hawaii)
The same day, different interview, they were asked almost the same question, and Camila answered with the, "a bad boy, or a bad whatever." That same interview, Camila inadvertently, all but confirmed Camren, when asked about OTP's in the group, and she said, "OTP's in the group haven't quite worked out." Meaning, there had to be one to begin with, for it not to have, worked out.
You could tell, Camila had pretty much had enough, at that point. She was pissing Management off, left and right, and who could blame her. Lauren may have had her "fuck it" moment, but Camila had her "fuck you" moment, when it came to management.
Let's skip ahead to November. It brought us, the official release of IKWYDLS, and the narrative that put an official end to the Camichael bullshit. It also brought us another song, people seem to forget about.
One week after the release of IKWYDLS, The Vamps released "I Found A Girl". People immediately connected the song, to Lauren Jauregui. The Vamps manager, even made it a point, to like a tweet, saying the song was about Lauren.
The timing, of the release of the song, wasn't an accident, either. Lucy was everywhere Lauren was. The summer tour, Hawaii, Bahamas. We got a heavy dose of Laucy, before that song was released. Lauren had been in a PR stunt, with Brad, from the Vamps. This song, was used as part of Lauren's coming out process. They wanted us to believe the song was about Lauren, and with the timing of the release, they wanted us to think it was about Lauren and Lucy.
We know, it was part of the plan, because no one, not even Lauren, made a big fuss, over the speculation, of it being about Lauren. We weren't told we were delusional, or disrespectful. We didn't get a long ass rant, about assigning a sexuality to her. Lauren was fine, with the all-assuming speculation, as long as it was speculated about Lucy, and not Camila.
Of course, people seem to forget, if there was any truth to that damn song, what so ever, it couldn't have been about Lucy. Lauren and Brad, "dated" in the later months of 2014, again, when Lucy wasn't in the picture...But, they had no problem getting folks to believe in the Laucy narrative, because the Astroturfers were out in force, pushing the Laucy narrative, from that moment on.
December was a fucking mess, so let's just skip it. The only thing we really need to remember, is this is the month Maverick took the reigns.
January 2016, was a fun month. This is when, they began to destroy Camren, and put Laucy on the radar, as more than just friends. This is also when Jillian Gutowitz became involved in the narrative.
2016 started, with Lauren going with Lucy, to Columbia. Then, Lauren's Birthday gift to Lucy, was a good old fashion, road trip. It was the end of January, that brought us, two significant parts, to all this bullshit.
Jillian wrote an article for After Ellen. In that article, she spun a web to follow, disguised as "Jordan". Some don't think Jillian's "Jordan" story, was about Lauren. I'm positive, it was just part of the plan.
The reason for this story, was to make a romantic connection, between "Jordan" and a "childhood" BFF. The timing of "Jordan" and everything we had been getting from Laucy, was meant for us to make the connection, of "Jordan" being Lauren, and to propagate a past, romantic link, between Lauren and Lucy.
Coincidentally enough, or not, it is around this same time, "fans" decided to "hack" the girls. THEY FAKED, then "leaked" messages, trying to convince us, Camila is guzzling cum shots, on the rocks, on every damn Continent. The purpose of that bullshit, was to make Camila look straight as fuck. I'll say this, if my foot, ever crosses paths, with a couple of Managers nuts, they will be properly introduced!!!
Those of you, still not sure about the "Jordan" story, I had no problem tracing it back, to Lauren and Jillian. Remember, they like to take a truth, and twist and manipulate it, to fit their false narrative.
Jillian wrote, "...upon their second meeting...", and "...the second day, "Jordan" told me, she had been making out with her childhood BFF, for years...".
The first meeting, wasn't important, because Jillian focused on the second meeting. That second meeting happened at a two day event, for them. That two day event, would have been, the World Wide Radio Summit, that took place, April 22-23, 2015. Zack Sang, Jillian, and Fifth Harmony were there, both days.
The term "childhood" was likely chosen by Management, to mislead the fans. It connotates, "Jordan" had been friends with this girl, since they were young children/kids. In actuality, "childhood" spans 0-18 years of age. So, technically, 15 and 16 years old, fits into that "childhood" time frame. Plus, this better fits, Lauren's own story, of NOT ACKNOWLEDGING she liked girls, until she was "older and in this phase " of her life.
But, again, with all the Laucy being SHOWN to us, from July 2015, the intention and plan, was for everyone to equate "childhood" with Lucy. Mission accomplished! (for most)
On March 9, 2016, Lauren and some of the other girls, went to get their ears pierced. There, we got a shot of Lauren's lock screen. We could tell it was a girl, but it was so damn blurry, we couldn't tell who it was. No problem! One month later, on April 10, Lucy posted the same photo to her Instagram. Basically, THEY sent the photo to Lucy, to post on her account, so we would know exactly who it was. Her!
April and May, we had more Laucy thrown at us. Then June rolled around, and Lauren's Birthday. Lucy was Lauren's shadow, yet again. We got some pics and video of them spending time together on her Birthday. More importantly, we got a photo from Jillian, that day, as well.
Jillian's picture, took us right back to her "Jordan" story. In the story, "Jordan" invited Jillian to her Birthday celebration. She mentioned "Jordan" making out with some guy, at this B-day celebration...Low and behold, the picture Jillian posted, was of herself and Lauren, at Lauren's Birthday dinner, 2015, for which Lauren showed up, with that walking dick, Noah. (That fucker had to be useful for something.)
So, on Lauren's 2016 Birthday, we got reminded of an article, about a "gay" girl named "Jordan" who had made out with her "childhood" BFF, for years, but couldn't understand why people thought she was gay. Then we get Lauren and Lucy, together, celebrating her birthday, one year later, in Brazil....Can you see the planned progression, yet?
Let's skip ahead, to September 2016, because it was another pivotal moment, in the planned narrative. That month, had Camila and Lauren all up in their feels. I'm sure, for multiple reasons, but one being, they were fixing to kick their plan into overdrive. They were fixing to start visibly pushing Laucy, as more than just friends.
The first sign, of playful "flirting", from the stage, during BBW, was actually on August 14, in Indiana. A few weeks later, they would replay the same scene, but with HD video, for the same reason.
Is it a coincidence, the day after the Indiana exhibition, After Ellen opened up nominations, for their Hot 100? No! Jillian wrote for AE. She is the one, who brought AE into the fandom, places-to-watch, list. They put all five of the girls, from 5H, on the Hot 100 nominee list. They then let it be know, the girls were nominated, and put the voting machine to work.
Yes, I'm saying that AE poll, was all part of Lauren's coming out process. Lauren was announced the winner, of the Lesbian Blog poll, on September 2, 2016. Yep, that's the very same night, Camila missed part of the show, due to anxiety. Coincidence?
September 4, is the other show, they had Lucy front row, so Lauren could "flirt" with her, again, during BBW. Like I said, this time, they had someone there, with a HD camera, ready to catch the whole thing, and show Lucy "flirting" back.
September 6, Jillian's AE Interview, with Lauren, is published. Lauren isn't offended by being the object of Lesbians desires. She is appreciative people think she's hot. Funny, how we Camren shippers, are only delusional, disrespectful, sick fucks, when it fit's their narrative... We also find out, Jillian conducted that interview, the same day Camila missed half the show. Again, coincidence?
On September 8, Lauren has her breakdown on a Phoenix stage. That whole seven day period, was very hard on Lauren and Camila. Management was in full swing, in their plan to "kill" Camren, by pushing Lucy as more than just Lauren's friend. I think, that week, a few final decisions were made.
Later that month, on a Mexico stage, Lauren took it upon herself, in front of everyone and their cameras, to let Camila know, that she is pretty fucking dope.
Then 5H went to Europe. The Barcelona show was special. That BHB moment, was the last OT5 moment, we would get. THEY separated Camila from the girls, after that, and prepared the 4X1 narrative, for Camila's departure.
They also had to make it seem like Lauren and Camila, were no longer close, in any way, shape, or form. They were preparing to put the death nail in Camren, and bring Lauren out of the closet, with her BFF Lucy.
In November, they did just that. With a staged picture, and a Trump supporter rant, they effectively destroyed Camren, in most shippers eyes, and Laucy was "born".
That's pretty much, step by step, how management was able to "kill" camren, get Lauren out of the closet, maintain Camila's "straight" image, get her out of the group, and start the 4X1 narrative, to help push Camila's solo career.
It's pretty sad, that with a staged picture, Lucy became Lauren's unconfirmed "girlfriend", the "childhood" friend, Lauren had always had feelings for, and the only girl, Lauren had ever liked. That's all it took, to successfully erase Camren's past, to all but the hardcore shippers, and those of us, who could see what they were doing.
That is how they took the Camren truth, and manipulated it, to sell the Laucy lie. In my opinion, the only truth, in all that bullshit, was Camren. Everything else, was false narratives, for image and promotional purposes.
As always, I could be wrong...But, that's how all the dots connected for me...Sorry this is so long. I tried to shorten it, but it’s still a damn book...my bad!
