The point of your show should not "How long can I keep it going?" (ML, Supenatural season 6 onwards, Green Arrow, so on and so forth), it should be "How can I best tell a nice, fulfilling full story in the format I've been given?"

I haven't even technically started on my show officially, why?

I'm planning out designs, lore, world, plotlines, e v e r y t h i n g because it's not, "How long can I stretch it out?" It's "How can I tell this fulfilling story? I can do books, but shows are different so let me plan out everything so when I get into it, I have my start and I have my end and it's not 5+ seasons and we're still left with way more questions then do we do answers!

I mean we might with how I'm planning this show, we're starting season 1 midway through the timeline, season 2 is going back to beginning of the timeline and I'm still trying to figure out where that's gonna relink up with season 1 and then go forward in the timeline but! If I'm writing a show like ML? Hawkmoth would've been booted out season 3, more love square focus and building them as individuals and together and why they work together other than "I said so" (We'll see Heather, my main character and Plume, her love interest, slowly become friends then in love), flesh out the class so when they get miraculous it's not "Oh okay" it's a "Yes! They've earned it! And it suits them!" It's a celebration! I'd make the heroes lose to make them need the other heroes and honestly? Adrien would redone and have more impact on the story as he's supposed to as duerologist!

No! You should never look at your show like that! Look at the complaints of Supern@tural being way too long and how ridiculous it became! The many "Went on too long" shows complaints!

Looking at your show for longevity sets it up for hatred, it should be a story, not a longevity thing to milk as much money as you can from it.

At the very least, Astruc should have a plan if he wants his show to last as long as it does. Long doesn't automatically mean good.

Out of everyone you brought to the bar with you, Zhongli has the best voice by far. Who knew he could reach such notes??? And have such a versatile voice ayooo?!?? All of you are more confused then anything. How can someone so stoic have such an amazing voice?

All of you expected him to sing something that was calm and serene, but no. Here this man stood, singing Paparazzi. All of you were blown away, but half of the people there refused to show it out if spite. All in all, a very fun night (minus Childe’s 3 minutes of torture.)

My Favorite Things About Sheldon Cooper

I will be adding to this list as I go and remember various things.

His eidetic memory. It is something I kind of always wished I had, but I know that with great power comes great responsibility. In any case, I love that Sheldon literally remembers like E V E R Y T H I N G. I know Sheldon has a tendency towards arrogance, but is it really arrogance when you are as smart as he is?

His unique style. In Young Sheldon, everyone always makes fun of his bow ties and in TBBT everyone always makes fun of his nerdy shirts. I think everyone is clearly insane because this guy is fly and is a smart dresser! I love that he loves color and patterns, and even does conflicting patterns quite often, somehow making it work. But he also wears a black suit VERY WELL INDEED. 🫠🫠🫠 (My favorite t-shirt of his is, of course, the melting Rubick’s cube shirt.)

His hiccup, airy stuttering little laugh. He did it more often earlier in TBBT, so I miss it now, but I think it is just sooooo adorable. Everything he does is adorable. Oh, and Iain Armitage imitates it so well! Actually, Armitage is doing a phenomenal job portraying young Sheldon, and mimicking Jim Parson’s style and exhibiting Sheldon’s personal ticks. I love seeing genius at work!

His love of trains. I think it is a pure love, a child-like love. The fact that he would almost give up Physics for them says a lot. Everyone makes fun of him for this as well, but I think bro just knows what he loves and loves it unabashedly. (Amy’s a lucky, lucky girl!)

His love of Star Trek. He’s a full-blooded Trekkie and Spock fanboy. Love how he often uses Trek to understand his world and process his emotions, especially in relation to Spock’s personal journey. This is me. That’s literally just me. (And he loves TAS too! But he gets points off for dissing TMP! He’s absolutely insane to think that it is poor quality cinema, but considering that the film is more abstract, I can understand why Sheldon wouldn’t like it.)

When he says, “Aww…” Both Jim Parsons and Iain Armitage sound SOOOO cute when they say it. Sad little string bean boy!

The fact that his story sometimes takes a quasi-Forest Gump vibe, if Forest Gump was completely unhinged. In that he befriends famous people, influences them unawares (mostly to their chagrin), or effects history (e.g. Elon Musk stealing his formula for the SpaceX rocket.) I think it is very charming and Americana-esque!

Dr. Sheldon Cooper and Dr. Amy Farrah Fowler presents Dr. Sheldon Cooper’s Fun with Flags. While watching TBBT, I wanted his YouTube show to be real SO BAD, especially when Amy joined him. I don’t give a crap about flags, but I would eat that content right up you have no idea! 🤤 It would have been so cool if they created his YouTube channel for real and aired it simultaneously as TBBT was running. I bet fans would have loved that! I know I would have! I feel so, so bad for Sheldon because he is a hyperfixating stan just like me! But no one understands or respects his super obscure niche interests.

The fact that he can sing and dance so well. I loved how Young Sheldon showed how this came about for him. That Annie episode was brilliant and hysterical, and I loved how it showed Sheldon’s boldness and unorthodox personality. Yeah, he ended up getting stage fright, but that was based in his anxiety and fear of crowds, and not the fact that he was a boy about to play a girl’s role in a musical at a Texas high school! (Everyone if you haven’t watch YS, you really need to!!) I love, though, that he has such a good voice and that TBBT gives him chances to sing and perform so often, especially when he gets intoxicated. It made me so happy to see that Jim Parsons got an Emmy for his role as Sheldon, because really he is an amazing performer on every level! Comedy, music, drama - he can do it all, and sometimes all three at once! I should do a whole other post just analyzing the different layers of Parson’s performances on this show! 😍

It took me a while to put my finger on w h y but I figured out why Eclipse has such a different vibe to the other DCAs:

They feel like a mascot actor out of character.

Like, okay, I know that we have never actually SEEN either Sun or Moon at their baseline (assuming they were affected by the virus). But I gotta assume it's not too different to their personalities in game? Hyperactive Sun made to encourage children to play and have fun, and a quieter, sterner, but no less kind Moon made to help kids have their naptime. They both *feel* like characters, like people playing a role.

Eclipse just feels like a nice guy doing his job.

Suit's off, the kids are gone home, and Eclipse is there to clean up and get things in order. If you run into them, they're still going to be lovely, especially if you're a kid, but there's no over the top energy and skipping or sneaky little walk and giggling, they're just a guy, and I honestly feel that fits spectacularly for this middle ground between Sun and Moon. They're free of the persona and only care about the overall daycare, not any specific part, so they can properly get things in order. Like, when you think about how Sun and Moon had to drop absolutely e v e r y t h i n g to stack those drums, and Eclipse looked at the state of the Daycare and only went "Oh deary me", you can see how much more stable they are.

Can you blame him for being too anxious to committing to not only g e t t i n g a gift for Tohru.. but actually having to hand it over to her? Plus---- P l u s ! How could he give it to her when the brunette is constantly surrounded by people? He g e t s it, she is a shining light in all of their lives. But is it t o o d a m n much to ask for like five fucking minutes with her?

So here Kyo is, standing outside her room a f t e r dinner and everyone is left to their own devices with the gift he managed to buy her from some random shop the lad doesn't even r e m e m b e r the name of. Kyo had just been walking by and out of the c o r n e r of his eye saw something shiny ( his cat brain couldn't resist the temptation to investigate ). It was a pretty h a i r c l i p , even if it was simple in design and materials- and took an i m m e d i a t e step into the shop to inquire about purchasing it.

It was w e i r d that it was shaped to resemble a cat.. wasn't it? That he, the poor soul being c u r s e d by the spirit of the cat, wanted to provide a gift in the same image as himself...? Yeah. Definitely w e i r d . That possibly aided in his hesitation to actually give the hair accessory to Tohru. Giving her a present, and having it almost seem like some sort of weird animalistic c l a i m ? Definitely odd. Oh boy. You know what- doesn't matter! Even if he w a s n ' t the unluckiest person currently on the p l a n e t because he was The Cat, he still would have chosen the same gift! It was a n i c e color, and the cartoonish cat motif matched her c u t e nature.. it suited her-- has nothing to do with him in the slightest! Thank you very much!

Her door was left a j a r, light pouring out the cracks- which let Kyo at least know he had a chance to see her, as she was still a w a k e . If Tohru's door had been closed, then he would have smacked himself for being such a w u s s by taking too long that he's going to be even later with his gift. Or he could have l e f t the tiny bag that the gift was in b e s i d e her door.. with her name on it, so she knew it was for h e r ---- Not now. Now, he has an o p p o r t u n i t y to seize!

Kyo gave a firm knock to the door, waiting until he heard a ' c o m e i n " from the lass, and proceeded to do just so, pushing the door out of the way and forcing his feet f o r w a r d before he could back out again. The hand hidden inside his jacket pocket clenches as his nerves s p i k e d , determined to push through it and just do what he came to. So he did-- albeit abruptly, j o l t i n g his arm forward that had the tiny giftbag so it was almost directly in her face probably so he didn't have to look Tohru in the eyes and die right on the spot.

In classic fic writer irony, this fic required hours and hours of research that on occasion amounted to one line written on it.

On Magpies

This is how the oriental magpie looks. The japanese kanji for magpie is Kasasagi 鵲 - but I picked a different kanji - 笠鷺 (the direct translation of each individual character would be bamboo hat, heron) that actually is a legitimate name which reads the same as a tongue-in-cheek pun.

I found this little bird perfect, because it looks like a white and blue bird with its head painted black and i found it fitting.

On Jisei

Jisei are death poems which consist of five lines, with a total of 31 syllables (5-7-7-7) and are frequently composed by people on their deathbed. References to sunsets, autumn or falling cherry blossoms which suggest the transitoriness of life are common.

I picked my two favourites:

On Substitution Ciphers

Okay, I'm no expert on cryptography and i really really struggled with this because i couldn't find something that already pre-existed in relation to a deck of cards that wouldn't take another deck and years off your life to solve.

Lo and behold - i realized that that from ace to king, there are 13 cards in a suit and I went oh **** it and made one from scratch. It's rudimentary and very basic (2 different cards can mean 1 particular letter) and also a proper cryptographer would make fun of me, but it works in a pinch.

yay!! the kudos!! <- gimme kudos on ao3 (just kidding ;D)

YUKIKO. i had a lot of her figured out by the time i got to drawing her. she's a catholic christian, a strict one at that... she wears a cross on her neck at all times, no matter what - even when sleeping.. i decided to make a simplified version of her hairstyle in canon to make things easier for myself, haha. im happy with how it turned out, though. for her clothes, i just wanted something.. mum-sy, something that wasn't too revealing but still looked pretty. she's obviously one of the younger mums, and is a well-known actress, and her good looks reflect that. she's not very pretty on the inside, though. despite her behaviour, she still loves her child very much, and always seems a bit uncomfortable when she has to leave him...

shinichi is pretty much the same. well-kept, wears his uniform properly because he's been raised to be a neat, clean kid. he's on the more tired side, though.. he's seen a lot, i mean.. just LOOK at his face. bro's seen e v e r y t h i n g . . . he's used to being alone, but regardless longs for his parents to return home... though, maybe that isnt the BEST wish... he's egostical, has extreme views, but with the help of circumstances and those around him he changes... for better or for worse? well, we'll have to see :)

yuusaku..... hmm, i wanted to stray away from the whole "clone shinichi" thing, and also.. i think wanted to show that he was a younger parent too..? that would certainly explain the no moustache (laughs). i mean, it certainly fits him better when like this, right? instead of just making him wear a basic suit, i wanted to make him wear something that was still formal but made him stand out a bit, hence the clothes. also, i didn't give him the point bit behind his ear and changed his ahoge to stray away from the clone-shinichi appearance.. i get that he's the dude's dad, but dude..... i ain't seen no father-son clones here... maybe they exist, they prolly do, but they're not real here /j he's definitely the more colder, distant parent, leaving all them matters to yukiko, the mother. he's definitely a bit overworked and stressed, leading to some outbursts. despite how mean he may seem to any other person, he never lays a single hand on shinichi (affectionately or not)..
