mr rice can u please share your thoughts on ososan s1 and 2 vs s3 differences , like the direction they went that was less meta referencing the reboot nature of the show, and more on the mundanity and sisyphean nature of being directionless young adults (who are also virgins). Personally the bits focused more on the mundane were rlly good I think. U dont wanna see the matsus do chores? Play hide and seek? i personally enjoyed it. also, your omusubi thoughts if u have any?

i could probably write a thesis paper on this, and idk how having watched all 3 seasons back to back in the year of our lord 2024 affects my opinions, but ill try to keep it brief (1029 word stream of consciousness )

tldr: S3 lost sight of The Bit

dont get it twisted i LOVE slice of life stuff. i like characters. season 3 had some of my all-time favorite segments (pizza, the way home, mt takao). however to me what felt off about the season was moreso like… the Ratios. the Overall Season Balance, Ebb and Flow, it was all wrong. s3's skits were as a whole longer, fewer, and less funny. i did tier lists of every single segment from each season and i was shocked how fewer segments s3 had compared to s1. theyre too freaking long. and not even funny!!!

i didn't realize how.. idk stale? s3 was getting until cosplaymatsu and then i was fucking gulping for fresh air like FINALLY SOME GOOD FUCKING OUT-OF-CONTINUITY BITS!!!!!!!!!!! 

the thing is to me i think the Bit should trump all. s1 finale took this very literally, trampling all over the emotional cliffhanger for the Bit, but i think s2 finale also valued the bit of "well s2 is over so all that's left to do is die" while also retaining the emotional flow of facing mortality. i think s2 had the best finale for this reason btw. but ask me aboit that separately

to me osomatsu-san's Core Bit, at least that it started out with in s1, is "-kun is about these sextuplets being identical, so it's funny that they're all different as adults". the differences between them was in and of itself a punchline!! six same face!! to me as soon as you lose sight of this you lose my interest. no -kun flashback for s3e1 was a death keel. also, fuck you inumatsu

s2 took this core bit and ran with it a little further, now a little more confident in their characterizations they used the differing personalities as new comedy material. it's probably the platonic ideal of how ososan can combine its identities of "60's anime remake" and "jyushimatsu cordyceps"

i think s3's bit is, if there is one, at best, "there is no joke. we deadass just haven't done anything of value". which i just don't think is a good bit. it's one note, it's not versatile, and it gets dangerously close to being at the audience's expense- i think you can convey the lethargy and sisyphean existence without also making the audience feel like they wasted their time (i.e. the absolute worst sin a piece of media could commit). So the bit isn't good and they're not even dedicated to it in a way that matters. 

"does there have to be a bit" well yes! I think so. it's a gag anime. i guess that's the crux of my argument. if you dont have the balls to commit to character development you MUST commit to the bit. i think s3 fell flat for me bc it couldnt commit to anything

i watched osomatsu-san with a dear friend of mine who, bless their heart, still can't tell the sextuplets apart 3 seasons 2 mini serieses every bonus episode and 4 movies later. but they could still enjoy s1 and s2 because the matsus and their personalities were vehicles for the punchline- not the focus. as soon as they started writing about the matsus themselves and losing sight of the Bigger Picture (the bit) they got very lost. and im aware theyre an outliar viewer but i don't think it's unrelated. 

i think mt takao is a good summary of this issue. there's no bit- we're just slice of life moments with the brothers. but then tbey feel like they need to make a joke, lest people start expecting them to actually let these boys find happiness, so they just do a "and then we all died, jk, we can't actually accomplish anything of value" punchline at the end. it's a disservice to people who are invested in the characters, and for people who aren't, it's just not funny!

omusubi thoughts: theyre cutes. i could tell watching them that they were probably quite disliked for derailing the season so i immediately became like, fans in a hater way. lol 

i think their core bit is good: showa anime meets modern robots who don't Get It. but their storyline doesn't tie into their Bit, and its attempted tie-ins with the sextuplets never emotionally resonated. episode 12 was, affectionately, a huge waste of time (though the sheeh payoff made me woop and holler) considering i couldnt even get over my suspension of disbelief that the sextuplets would actually give a shit enough about them as People to bust their asses saving them (which, after their self actualization, they clearly still were treating them like machines. so it's like yeah i knew that shit was fake)

but like yeah after that they weren't their Bit anymore. they just became characters. maybe that's the summary of my issue w s3? no one is their Bit anymore. everyone's so attached to the Characters now that no one values the Bit anymore. we've gone so far into gap moe that ichimatsu isnt even scary anymore. if rental girlfriends had happened in s3 it'd be totty with the tiger cage 

but anyways. omusubi are interesting to me because i said earlier how s3 doesnt want to commit to anything, but it does seem like they wanted to commit to telling full character arcs, but had trapped the sextuplets into a Popularity-Induced Personality Prison where they've become too popular to meaningfully change, so they tried to do it with new characters and side charas (nyaa single mother arc peak). so like… i enjoyed the omusubi character arc bc it was at least something solid to grasp onto in this season with writing more fleeting than sand 

(but again, it still got invalidated and didn't matter in the end!)

in the end it is hard to cheer for characters if you know fucking nothing will matter in the end (very similar to my aggretsuko review i wrote in my head and didn't post anywhere), so if they're not at least funny about it i'm like What's the point.

1. Who or what got you into F1?

Basic bitch answer but my dad. He was a big fan, and his dad was a fan. I was plonked infront of the TV to watch it as a kid, and grew up never missing a race. That was until Sky Sports braught it off chanel 4, and now my family can't afford to watch it anymore. I have to pirate it now coz I AINT PAYING 50 A MONTH go fuck yourself Sky Sports.

2.Who was the very first F1 driver you supported? Do you support them now? Have your opinions on them differed or stayed the same since then?

Probably Lewis? Or Jenson? I was (still am) a Mclaren fan as a kid, and my dad always cheered on English drivers, so I just copied him. I still love them both now, my opinions havn't changed on them at all!

3.Who’s your current favourite F1 driver?

Current grid? Probably Max, Fernando or Oscar. They are all so so talented, it's just a pivalidge to watch them drive. I think they're all really funny in their own ways too.

My favourite driver ever? Senna, obviously. Or Prost.... Can't ever pick.

4.Is there a driver pairing or pairings you support? What made you attracted to that pairing in the first place?

I support all and any pairings. F1 RPF in all forms is delicious thankyou. My faves are: Prost X Senna, Carlos X Lando, Max X Charles, Peroni X Villeneuve, George X alex, Mika X Michael, and Nigel X Elio.

The only ship I don't really vibe with is Pierre X Charles? Like idk I just don't feel it. But I'll still read it so lol

5. Do your parents, siblings or relatives have a favourite team and/or favourite driver(s)?

My dad supports Mclaren same as me. My sister isn't really into it? She finds charles hot and will watch edits of him but shes never watched a race or really gives a shit about the actual driving. Shes here for the thirst traps and Ferrari merchandise and I respect that so much.

6. Do you have any favourite races? Are there any that stand out to you the most?

Dallas, Texas 1984. What a fucking shit show. Absolute comedy sketch. Everything about that dumb race is so funny to me.

Hungaroing! It was the first F1 race I ever attended, and the joy I get out of watching it and screaming 'IVE BEEN THERE IVE BEEN THERE' never leaves. The first race in person was special, so hungaoring is special now too.

8. Have you ever been to an F1 race in real life? Feel free to tell us your experience going to one if you like

Yes. And I don't know why but I was so shocked at how friendly everyone was. I think I was expecting it to be like football, but everyone got along so well no matter the teams ect. I always get general admission now, because its so much fun to sit and make new friends with other F1 freaks!!! Everyone shares food, alcohol, blankets, brollies ect- its alwaus such a good atmosphere at everywhere I've been.

9. Have you ever met an F1 driver in real life?

Yes. Seb and Jenson. In the same day. I nearly exploded, but actually managed to come off very normal and composed.

10. Do you have a favourite F1 car? If so, what is it?

McLaren MP4/4 1988.

Wouldn’t it be something if they did a wedding vow renewal between Bob and Linda? I mean Teddy will beg to be the best man of course and either Calvin or Mort would perform the ceremony depending on what’s funnier. Then there’s the whole inviting Linda’s family and Bob’s dad which would provide serious moments for the episode. Linda’s parents (especially her mother) would go on about not having the ceremony the first time around and being unable to see they were banking on Linda marrying Hugo and Gayle of course tries to take over everything which all culminates in Bob telling them off and proclaiming loudly that he wished his mother was at the wedding instead of them. Big Bob of course would feel bad about it even if it wasn’t directed at him since he knows that Lily got along better with their son. Big Bob comes to comfort little Bob of course, telling him that he’s a good man and a wonderful husband and father. Then as a surprise let’s his son use the ring (which was the one he proposed to his late wife with) for the ceremony and it all happens in front of the restaurant.

that would be so cute!! im honestly not sure bob and linda had vows at their wedding (it seems like they just kinda showed up at the courthouse in a dress and tuxedo and signed the paperwork. took a picture and immediately left) but an episode where they get to have an Actual proper wedding would be fun although idk how the comedy aspect would work 😭😭

any episode where big bob would have to interact with linda's parents sounds like a NIGHTMARE they would avoid at all costs. like u gotta have one or the other

idk why the first thought that came into my mind was Romantic Comedy. i mean they did have a sort of an awkward first meeting with their.. partner? their relationship with Eatos is kinda undefined. trying to reframe "some weird person coming to the cabin you're squatting at after recently becoming possessed, telling you to get out of their property, and making you have horrible visions with their magic stick" as a meet cute would be hilarious. doubly so if you make both their spirits act as matchmakers.

12. What animal would your OC have as their His Dark Materials daemon?

ohhhh inch resting question, since they do have a familiar! originally it was a pardine genet cause I just really liked how they looked, but it didn't make much sense thematically. afterwards I retconned it to be my former cat with the colors invented.

but i dont think that would make a fitting daemon? honestly i'd love to just make it a red panda, to match my witchsona with my fursona. apparently one exists in the show? i might have to check it out 👀

13. What Pokémon would be on your OC’s team and/or what would be their preferred type?

not sure if you did this on purpose but i love that you asked this question for the only character of the ones i mentioned that ISN'T from the pokemon world. i did pick two pokemon for Eatos forever ago but never for Zyn.

• Absol would be a good partner, it senses danger and knows when catastrophes are about to happen, could be like a service dog and warn them when they're getting too stressed.

ok. i didnt mind genloss, it was ranboos first massive project, theyre only 19 and a streamer, ok. but oh my god would it kill to take an improv class. the first 2 episodes felt like an snl skit. especially when it was branded as original and then was just some sort of frankenstein of different horror tropes from ranboos favourite horror media, that just reminded me of snl stealing joel havers skit lmao.

there were so much issues with it and i feel like i wouldnt mind as much if it was branded as a horror comedy a few months before the show, not 3 days before the show. a few months before and the weeks leading up to may 24th, it was branded as "you arent ready for this. this is groundbreaking, nothing will ever be the same after this show. this is serious." etc and then i think it was like 3 days before may 24th there was that fucking showfall media psa that just felt like ranboo saying "oh btw its a comedy" without warning it caught me so off gaurd lmao.

then he streamed after that sfm psa released and, if i remember right, people were asking about it being a horror comedy in chat and ranboo was like "well yeah obviously did u think id make a project 100% serious? no lol" (dont quote me on that though its been a while) now theyre saying gen 0 and gen 2 are going to be completely horror now, but i dont think thats true bc they also said gen 1 was mostly horror and none of it is

speaking of, the advertising was just lies lol. the whole "little to no filler :D" thing. it wasnt like ranboo didnt expect the improv to last that long bc the expected runtimes (from their tumblr post on may 23rd i think) were sometimes longer than the actual ones. 1st ep was meant to be 1-2 hours, it was 1 and a half, so that much filler and standing around going "what the hell man" was PLANNED. they just lied about no filler to make people excited. just be funny and i wont mind the filler. i like sneegs humour in his streams but here he was just bickering with ranboo. same with ranboo to charlie, charlie was the only one making actual jokes so when ranboo and sneeg were alone it was just "wait so why didnt you just-" "well idk i thought u woul-" "well why would i-" and when i tell you it drained my soul.

ive been a massive ranboo fan for about a year (im recovering dw), and after the game theory episode i got really hyperfixated on genloss (up until the sfm keynote thing i think). i was hyped for it back when T_1 was the only thing released for genloss, and followed it all the way up to the streams. i watched them live and my face was just like 😐 I WAS SO DISSAPPOINTED LMAOOO

the box being 18k pissed me off so much bc an experienced filmmaker/writer/director could make something so much better than genloss with just that 18k. i aspire to make my own live action thing one day, and like, hearing them go "oh yeah the box was 18k and jermas face prosthetics were 10k teehee🤪🤪" was just. AAAAA. and the thing is, like the prosthetics were funny, but spending TEN THOUSAND DOLLARS as a BIT from jerma going "what if i took off the mask and it just doesnt look like me lol" then framing urself as jesus christ and a victim. i am so mad.

idk how to feel about ranboo anymore, i used to watch like every 2nd stream for a while but then the whole "GUYS BUY MY MERCH also racism bad MERCH!!!!! BUY!!!!" thing made me rethink lol. the racist and misogynistic undertones in genloss made me so uncomfy, and while im not poc so i cant speak on that, i have enough sense to know that having the only poc in the entire show play evil rats is so tone deaf.

and niki!! i was worried when the teasers were coming out bc every single person shown in it was a white guy (and a white enby), so i was kind of happier when niki showed up, but then she died within the hour to "commentate on misogyny in media". ranboo thought that he was commentating on misogyny by contributing to it. did they think this through at all. i would have LOVED if they did something special with niki and something powerful, but all that happened was she showed up, cried, then died and now ranboo fans are going "ranboo was so real for this!!!". ik niki had control over her characters writing but im sure ranboo was the one who decided when certain characters died and stuff.

also i hate to say this but the mask flashing to signify if he was in control or not was EXACTLY like a thing in the undertale fanfic (sfw im not weird) i wrote when i was 12 💀💀the characters eyes would flash when they were under control bc edgy. it was so weird watching genloss with that in the back of my mind 💀💀💀💀

in conlusion, genloss had so many flaws and so much easy fixes that it just feels so sososososososo rushed. another year in the oven wouldve been ok i think.

Random thoughts I had during my fifth viewing of the cinematic masterpiece "Cocktail" (1988)

Well... more like my 5 2/3 viewing bc I got like 2/3 through it and then my mom was like "why didn't you tell me you were gonna watch it, I would have wanted to watch it too" so I lied about how far I was through it "there's still a lot left we can start it over" and I watched the same movie almost twice in a row in the span of a few hours :)

"Wild Again" by Starship is one of the only good songs tbh, although "Addicted to Love" and "When Will I Be Loved" are also pretty alright. But the soundtrack is lowkey horrendous imo

ok i do want to say. first and foremost. it is entirely possible do feel numb when they got on medication and im not going to discount that. HOWEVER. in my PERSONAL experience with depression, therapy, and medication... a lot of the times that "numb" is experiencing "stable" like you're not feeling the super highs and super lows anymore you've tapered off and entered a more... normal? ??? range of emotions im getting sleepy so i cant remember the name of it but my therapist has described tolerance and vibrations and whatever and when youre in a Downtrend you are depressed but when you're Activated (angry, worried, anxious, etc.) you're Doing things and the goal is not to seesaw as much so violently into both ends but find a safe middle ground where you're supposed to be able to manage ur emotions well. idk what's going on w lisa i cant speak to her specifics or anything but like . im fairly sure that the idea that medication "numbs" you and turns you into a zombie is not as common as media portrays? if not entirely misrepresented or a misconception? i could be totally wrong in that and am only speaking from personal experience so take that as you will

No bc I honestly agree with how they fucked up with JIARA. I don’t like the ship either. I think it feels so forced and I feel like when u watch those JIARA scenes you just know how awkward it actually was to film it cause you know the whole situation with the cast and that.

Also you can tell that they obv don’t want to be there while filming by the way they act around on set. The cast clearly don’t hang around anymore like they used to during s1.

it’s such a shame that they ruined two of the main characters like that… like they ruined kiara in s2 with her stinking attitude, entitlement and hypocrisy, and that just continued into s3. s1 kiara was one of my fave characters on the show and i’ve said this before idk if it’s bailey’s acting or the shit writing or both bc something ain’t working for me with kiara. and honestly? jj’s character fell off in s2 as i feel like he didn’t really have a moment or a stand out scene. they used him for slapstick comedy which was a huge surprise considering the complexity of his character from the previous season. and s3 jj was just whack…. way out of character, bad acting, bad writing and just felt so off and wrong. like sir that ain’t my man

Conan o Brien is seriously slept on as a comedian

He's mostly known for being a late night show host, n for making self deprecating jokes, but he's remarkably smart n I don't say tht lightly. He's an actual genius. I think the dude even went to Harvard, but he plays it off like he's not educated enough to comment thoughtfully about the stuff that happens all over the world.

Which is a shame, because his TV show where he interview celebs is not where he shines. It's the same thing tht happened to Trevor Noah, where over the years you see tht he loses a big chunk of his analytical n critical skills (comedically) to whatevers the topic, n it doesn't challenge nor fully utilise his immense talents.

Interestingly enough, you'd see a diff side of him in Conan Remote episodes or even the ones showing his daily interactions w his staff. That's where u go HOLY SHTTT this guy is really 1 in a million. His ability to interact, improv on the spot, with language barriers, hierarchal barriers even, just making ppl lose it, is just unmatched.

He's the Anthony Bourdain of Travel Shows but he doesn't know it. Or atleast he doesn't capitalise it to its full potential.

SNL people like Tina Fey, Amy Poehler, Comedy Central ppl like Key n Peele are also MAD talented but there's a certain boundary they can't cross. Most of their stuff is written before-hand. Improvs from standups tu lein cerita ah leh prepare gak.

Throw them out into the streets, get em to talk w ppl in diff language, can they genuinely make complete strangers laugh to the point of losing it? Idk that'd be hard to pull off. Conan can though. He has his ways w people, young or old, rich or poor, women and men, educated or not, its truly insane what he can do within minutes. You're not gonna be able to be a tight ass w that dude around.

1 of these days, dude is gonna retire n the world wouldn't even truly know the depths of his hilarity. Idek if there are comedians like that any more these days from the newer generations.

I can kind pin down what makes his brand of jokes diff

- He's awkward looking n he self deprecates about it a lot just not in a low self esteemed way. He knows he's lanky n has disproportionately long torso n arms, is pasty-white, is also a Ginger, n he makes use of tht. To the fullest.

But weirdly enough, whatever he's doing or how much he does it doesn't quite cheapen it or makes it annoying. Idk how he does it. Point is, he knows he look funny in some ways.

Idk I just find it rare tht he's 1 of those very very few ppl in the world who could probably get away w casually sitting down on the pavements w just about anybody n make everybody laugh w him or at him. That's something else.

- Something about him within, tht u could tell from the way he treats his staff, n how everybody treats him tht he truly doesn't give a fck about fame or any of tht stuff as much. He's legitimately 1 of the most human of all the humans tht ever came out of the Hollywood machine. Which is fcking bonkers, because what sort of outlook or philosophy would u have to adapt to be like that anyhow? To not let it get to you n be humbler as the years go by? Fckin insane, that's what.

Pansexual/ bisexual assassins, nonbinary demons, a transgender assassin, an unrealistic number of gay and lesbian demon summoners! That's my fantasy world. It's not talked about, because it's simply normal.

Irvine in particular I adore because I am nonbinary myself, but also because they are just so powerful, and they don't even know just how much yet!

I always disliked how many nonbinary characters in fantasy and sci fi are just token "they/them" body guards, robotic or asexual leaning non-humans, or quiet, unassuming love interests who only exist to show a character is pansexual or something.

Irvine was my love letter to my own identity because I thought hey what if there was a nonbinary character who just fucks shit up, every time they appear? What if there was an enby who just kicks ass and is sexily never showing their face, and wears a badass hood all the time?

And then Irvine was born. My little storm demon :)

1 City of God

i hate telling people this is one of my fav movies cus I don't wanna seem like that pretentious person who only watches foreign films for the sake of watching foreign films. This is literally my favorite movie because it's my favorite movie. I don't really watch a lot of movies and this just happened to be one i found and happened to like! I read the book first (dont. By the way. It kinda sucks partly because it got translated poorly so not it's fault but mainly because it's violence for the sake of violence. Like if the movie went just by book, i wouldn't like it. But it doesn't so <3 )

think of the movie and the book like No Country For Old Men. The book goes for shock and suspense and the movie goes to make it Art. It's a really pretty film and you kinda value it more knowing like. None of the actors went anywhere. They did their piece for the film then that's pretty much all. It's a good film of a bad film that made it good film? Like what happens is bad, but the bad doesn't happen just to happen and be Bad. IDK man !

I JUST REALLY LOVED THE ANIMATION!! the show and the movie is ass tho. BUT IT'S THE KINDA ASS... you Enjoy 😈. All intentions possible. I love love LOVE watching this movie with friends so we can make fun of it and point out the terrible writing, not in a 'we're better sense' but a 'LMFAO WTF WAS THAT????'

it's a very WTF WAS THAT movie and i love it 😭. Weird Harold, Rudy, and Otis (yall don't even know any of these people but especially Otis. All u gotta know is he's the best) carried. Dumb Donald has a great design cartoon wise but he got on my nerves. He's alright tho

the harder they fall's soundtrack is SO good. It's so cool, it's just a COOL movie. It's an action movie so some of the characters could've been written better (especially some of the women. They werent written horrible but they had more potential that you can feel wasnt justly reached), but the characters they spent time on, you could tell. From their stories and personalities and dialogue and interactions, very cool!!! Sometimes an almost anime-esque kind of movie? Sometimes shot like Scott pilgrim? Sometimes sphagetti western.. Sometimes action.. Sometimes comedy! It's a COOL movie that you can think about a little bit but not cramp yourself over. It's not a complete turn your brain off though. It's engaging in what it is! Which is a lot of things, so it's very engaging!!!

Blade!!!!!! The patron Saint of joth gf!! my first!!! my beloved!! my EVERYTHING!!!!! the movie's writing shows its time in only having personality in 'crazy side villain who dies' 'clever quip when someone dies' 'sad for short time when someone dies'. Maybe the new blade movie wouldn't be in such a fumbling state if i was in the writer's room with my divine, lifesaving advice of 'just make blade more babygirl'. Literally. That's all you have to do. It's not that difficult. ANYWAYS yeah he and the flash and hawkman were my 3 only childhood 'superhero' heroes. This is more of a personal childhood attachment thing like Albert than being a.. Good movie. BUT it DOES have its cinematography! You can feel the wuxia inspiration in some scenes

these two can sit in the same space because they're both childhood films as well. Boyz was better at leaning into characters as human (which i value a lot) and menace was better at showing the edge of what life can do to characters. They're both good films in their own right! Check em out! I liked menace way more than the other when i was younger but growing up im leaning more toward the other but they're AGAIN theyre both super snazzy

Some honorable mentions... to make up for the lack of a ranking system:

- New Jack City: NEWWW JACK! CIIIITYYY (NEW JACK CITYY 🎶 !!) older blaxplotation movie so cheesy, cheap, but like? Cool??? cut out the cheesy old cop crud and you get an entertaining villain with an entertaining mob. Also there's one death in the movie that's a brutal one, and it's offscreen. You just see a glimpse of the desecrated aftermath. Those are like the best deaths in a movie tbh. The imagination being our biggest friend and our biggest enemy. Love it love it!

- dead presidents: WAR IS TRAUMATIZING!!!

- mean girls: the Brutus speech about Cesar.. no essay can compare. Shakespeare shut the fuck up bitch

- clueless: 🥰

- little shop of horrors: open up here i come

- in the wood: STACY!!!!!!!

- Rocky: Apollo slayed and then he died

- sky high + high school musical: Disney peaked with these characters then never again

- FRIDAY + Friday 2: loved the 'you don't need a weapon' moral trying to be taught then using a weapon (brick) in the end. Seamless

- ratatouille: the wii game ratatouille was my red dead redemption

- baby jody: all manchilds need to watch this. It's hilarious and it's true. Don't be a manchild. Grow up. OH also the mom has a little garden and it's really cute. And she's super buff. People try to plant shit in her garden. Makes me so mad. We can never have nice things!!!

- coraline: the movie was so cool.. the video game on the wii scared me so bad i had nightmares from the bad game over screens. But the designs were great the elements the songs the using good characters abilities into their bad character abilities UGH it was SO cool!!! i hate people that like coraline though... it's like.. idk how to describe it. there's like two types of theater people... either really really nice or seems really nice, actually a huge usually passive aggressive or control freak holier than thou smart ass who thinks they're the stem of theater because their personality is loving hamilton (i fucking hate hamilto

- hot boyz: this movie is straight ass

- king of New york: this one kinda sucked too but the secondary villain was gay and awesome

- Good Burger: i watched a blossoming boy romance in a place that sells burgers. Good burgers.

- Monster House

they survived because they had sex

-Kung fu panda all of them except maybe not the 3rd: just gorgeous gorgeous movies. The animation is stunning

- Hustle & flow: Ludacris !!!!!!!!! Acts!! He gets his ass kicked but that's ok. I think in another film he also gets his ass kicked? I can't remember tho. He loves losing

- Se7en: themed kills that play with unique abilities 🥰🥰 i don't have the patience for a murder mystery so i don't remember who did it or what was in the box and i don't cool. Seven deadly sins awesome

- Barbershop: mollusk man and preppy man should've had sex. Hate sex specifically

- that one movie? 9?: i watched it when i was little and alone. The Bara fucking dies

- Johnny English Reborn aka THE MR BEAN X DANIEL KALUUYA MOVIE IM TELLING YOU THEY HAD S*X!!!!!!@ it's actually a mainly unfunny movie with some funny parts like most older comedies but it's gay so it's ok

one thing that became a ‘tradition’ in yours’ and denji’s relationship was having a sleepover every weekend. even though he sees you at least three times a week, he’d tell you that he needed to at least spend a whole night with you or he wouldn’t be able to sleep soundly until it happened.

so now right on time just like every other saturday at 6:30pm you were stood infront the apartment door with your over night back and some snacks n’ drinks in hand. the door swung open violently, startling you a bit, but it didn’t last long when you seen the wide smile on denji’s face, showing his sharp teeth and the corner of his eyes crinkling. “(y/n)!! your here!!,” he lept forward and wrapped his arms around your middle, squeezing tightly. “hi denj’! of course i’m here, just like every saturday! should we go inside?” he nodded his head quickly and taking your arm to usher you inside.

“what’s in the bag, what’s in the bag?!” eyeing and grabbing at it is what he kept doing once you set it down in his room. “i’ll show you, i’ll show you. so first i brought alll of our favourite sweets n’ chocolate. and of course your favourite favourite drink,” watching his eyes light up as you listed off the different items you’d gotten for the night was one of the things you loved about staying over.

“hey! why’re you so loud denj- (y/n)! i didn’t know you’re here!” somehow, power was quite fond of you and quickly the two of you grew close through denji. something that shocked him and Aki. “silly, i always come over on a saturday,” “yeah stupid!” denji had butted in and pulled his eye while sticking his tongue out at power. “hah?! (y/n) do something to him he called me stupid!! your the stupid one, stupid!!” she quickly fell into you and whined into your chest while snapping back at denji, continuing the bickering. “hey, stop stealing them from me! go play with meowy or something” huffing, power eventually pulled of you and left to look for her furry companion.

the afternoon grew into the late night and the both of you had already devoured all the sweets you bought and sat through two movies, a comedy and a horror. you were now watching one you remembered from your childhood and how funny it was.

from the corner of your eye you could see denji’s eyes fluttering and his head bobbing—almost as if he was trying to fight off the tiredness. he looked so cute like this, but you knew if he fell asleep here you’d have to wake him then he’d get all moody. “hey denj’ wake up for a sec, let’s go to bed ‘kay?” “mmhhff okaaayy” he was probably already asleep and now you’d woken him but it was probably only a light slumber.

leaving him to lay on the floor while you set up the futons he couldn’t help but admire how the bright lights of the city reflected off your face in the dark room. “pretty,” is what he mumbled to himself, not caring if you heard or not. while trying to keep watching your movements he also was trying his hardest to stay awake for you. when he did open his eyes again he was met with you in your sleep shorts and slipping your shirt over your head, just about giving him a glance of your bare back. he claimed it as him just being a normal teenager, but he couldn’t stop the heat rushing to his cheeks and the sight of only your bare legs and the quick glance of your back.

“hey, you still awake sleepy?,” his eyes must’ve closed again for a few second because now, you were crouched infront him, softy rubbing the top of his head. with a nod he crawled over to his futon-not before helping you get tucked into your own. “goodnight denji, see you in the morning,” soft as ever your voice was when you wished him goodnight at the early hours whenever you’d stay with him. “g’night (y/n) see ya when we wake up,”

even though it was just a few hours prior that he was desperately trying to stay awake, he’s now laying flat on his back staring into the dark room trying desperately to fall asleep. the only thing he could thing of was scooting over to your futon and cuddling into your back—but he didn’t want to frighten you, so he just kept to himself for the past hour.

finally deciding that if he actually wanted to get some sleep he’d have to cave in and move over to your futon. he was moving as slow as power does in the mornings, but only because he was afraid that even the slightest movement would wake you-even though you’ve learned to sleep through his loud snoring and kicking limbs-. slowly, ever so slowly he moved closer to your sleeping figure with shaking hands. once he was close enough to wrap the blanket around himself he used the arm he wasn’t lying on to drape it around your waist and pull you into him with some new found confidence.

you don’t think he realised how harshly he pulled you because, even just that movement had shook you from your odd dream and back into the darkness of denji’s room. only this time you could feel his breath on your neck and his arm clutching your tummy. softly, you laughed and twisted in his grip so you could face him.

he wasn’t expecting it that’s for sure. you could tell by the way his mouth fell and eyes bulged slightly. when you smiled back at him, he tried to splutter out an explanation as to why he was cuddling you out of no where.

“you don’t have to ask to cuddle denj’ you can just do it whenever you like, i really don’t mind. i love it when you do.”

it was one of those moments he was having that only happened once every few weeks. it’s when you say or do something that makes his heart skips a few beats. the last thing you’d done was wipe the crumb off his cheek and kiss it afterwards.

like earlier, he frantically nodded at your comment and now wrapped both arms around you, pulling you even closer to his chest so you can wrap your own arms around him and entangle your legs.

slowly and softly falling back into your previous sound sleep—until denji’s snoring quiet literally vibrated through your body.
