A Problem With Theorizing Part 1

So before I begin I would like to make it clear I have no problem with theorizing about your favorite media, especially if said media has speculation intended for it for example Gravity Falls. That being said there is a major problem that stems mostly from a major source which I typically avoid talking about. That source is Game Theory and by extension all connected channels. While this can apply to all of Game Theory this mostly applies to MatPat and his influence. The information in this post by no means should you have a right use the information here to harass either Game Theory or MatPat let alone anyone connected to Game Theory. I would also like to make it known that I don't hate MatPat nor wish any ill will towards him. I am merely bringing up a major problem he mostly started with within the theorizing community.

So I am going to be talking primarily about the videos Game Theory: Are Theories KILLING Video Games? and Game Theory: Why You HATE My Theories (FNAF)

So in Game Theory: Why You HATE My Theories (FNAF) MatPat starts off by talking about an anecdote about a nameless game in which he was apparently contact by the CEO asking if he had a mole leaking info. And that when the game came out the game wasn't like what he predicted and speculates it was because he predicted correctly and caused the game to be changed by his theory. Said anecdote can neither be proven nor disproven all the way and seems to only really be in this video to seemingly boost the credibility of his claim. Further boosted by his offhanded remark that his "show gets it right 60% of the time." A little bit of information that continues to feed into the repetitive narrative that he gets a theory right most of the time. He goes on to bring up the mention of games being made which to be theory bait for Game Theory to gain traffic -ie Hello Neighbor, and how Game Theory talking about a video gains traction. But this neither here nor there and I am focusing on his idea of causing games to be changed based on his predictions.

Now for the main thing is Security Breach's development, changes, and delays MatPat tried to attribute to Game Theory, and that somehow they get things right and thus forced Security Breach to change basing it off of something Scott said about his earlier games. Which overlooks a lot of the context like say for the Cassidy thing and certain interviews. But from here MatPat tries to apply this to games as a whole and not just Security Breach, saying just let them be right and not change the game based on their theories.

Btw during this video in reference to theorist like himself MatPat says "we're trying to immerse you in these worlds. I like the storytelling that's being done inside the games or should be being done inside these games." Keep a pin in this for later.

Keep in mind there is a difference between Scott changing his game to inconvenience MatPat Vs. Security Breach being changed for it's own reasons Vs. games turning themselves into theory bait. There is only one true example here of the games being changed because a "theory" predicted something. MatPat's claim of "just let us be right" makes it come off as they are almost always right or as he said 60% of the time. MatPat also says "Hey if and when we get stuff wrong that's great too. We're okay with that it just means that we have more to theorize about." Keep a pin in this.

Several factors are at play here. Beauty has always been portrayed as a necessity for females and femininity has always been, largely, the uniform of submission and conformity for women. Women demonstrate their loyalty to patriarchy by displaying proudly how much pain and discomfort they can endure for the sake of male pleasure and comfort, not only in beauty but in making their presence and personalities smaller, etc. For many women being praised for their attractiveness and conformity by both sexes is the only positive attention they receive.

Female allegiance to beauty is nothing new and just par for the course for any patriarchal society, but living in an image and algorithm-driven internet age has made beauty standards far more extreme because a) porn and pornified beauty standards have become ubiquitous and b) women now literally carry the male gaze around in their pockets (our psyches have been completely taken over by the camera). With the normalization and frankly omnipresence of instagram, influencers, filters, plastic surgery, tiktok, etc. the idea of what a normal woman looks like or is supposed to look like has transformed dramatically. Think back to a few years ago when an unedited photo of Khloe Kardashian was “leaked” on twitter. Despite having already invested tens if not hundreds of thousands of dollars on cosmetic procedures, she acted like it was a violation of her human rights for someone to have posted an unposed, unedited picture of her— which was literally taken by her grandma btw. FaceTune discourse was at an all-time high (I think by now everyone has just silently accepted it) and women were passionately defending their right to edit their photos until they looked like completely different people. It’s a vicious cycle: you see an edited photo of someone who appears to be flawless, you begin to develop feelings of inferiority because you don’t look like that, you start editing your own photographs, and the more and more you do so the less and less you identify with the woman in the mirror and the more you identify with the woman you pretend to be on instagram. This worsens your insecurity, leads to body dysmorphia, leads to more and more spending of both time and money in pursuit of an objectively unrealistic standard of beauty. This goes doubly so for women who are victims of pornography addiction, who have reported feeling disembodied and like they’re constantly watching themselves from another person’s perspective.

The women in the video I posted were explicitly stating they do these things so that other people won’t see them as ugly or because they believe beauty = dignity… as if the ultimate dignity isn’t being able to show your natural face and self to the world without concern. It’s sad and humiliating. I could say more but other feminists have already said it better than I have. I recommend the book Beauty and Misogyny by Sheila Jeffreys if you haven’t read it already and would like a radical feminist perspective on the extremes of beauty culture.

If you haven’t read either of them, I think it’d be interesting to read that article by Stuart Hall and Wilderson’s Gramsci’s Black Marx back to back. Wilderson’s attack on Gramsci probably appears, to most of us, a little bewildering. Why frame a discussion of antiblackness around Gramsci? When was Gramsci last relevant to anybody, anyway? Once you start reading things by black South African militants it makes more sense. Post-apartheid, Gramsci seems to have had more influence in South Africa than he did anywhere else in the world. There must be some sort of historical reason for this but I don’t know what it is, although it seems to me that no other country moved so abruptly from the ‘war of manoeuvre’ (the attack on the white occupation) to a ‘war of position’ (how do you assemble a revolutionary platform when even the bad guys are talking about ‘white monopoly capital’ and so forth?).

Wilderson was part of the armed struggle to liberate South Africa but was forced to escape the country in 1995 when the ANC (that’s post-Apartheid, Mandela’s party) labelled him a “threat to national security” and wanted to do who-knows-what to him, but he seems to have kept up with the pro-revolutionary milieu in South Africa. In an NPR interview in 2009 he brings up Andile Mngxitama, at the time a South African Gramscian pro-revolutionary (who would, in a few years, be expelled from the EFF and start a Leninist cult which leaks in 2019 revealed was funded and controlled by the billionaire Gupta family, mining and electronics monopolists).

So Wilderson returns to America and immediately attacks Gramsci and now we understand why. It’s obviously a ‘determinate negation’—the Gramscian theory of ‘civil society’ and hegemony remains a crucial part of Wilderson’s strategic language, he just supplements it by saying that it all runs on the libidinal circuitry of antiblackness and all of our attempts to capture it only return as new limits. So he wants us to ‘destroy civil society’ instead, and then (menacingly) ‘destroy the world!’ and then he won’t elaborate about what that looks like. It is, for a lot of readers, a bit of frustrating bravado which is impossible to act on.

But then you can go back about a decade and find this little article by Stuart Hall, another black Gramscian, where he’s analyzing the situation in the UK using Gramsci’s strategic language to talk about, of all things, political correctness, and he sees it (and I think he argues it quite well) as basically a defensive reciprocation made by leftists in reaction to the post-72 reconstitution of western democracies (the dissolution of social programs, austerity and so forth). The right, who were fighting to implement the reconstitution, began an offensive on the ‘social’ front (Lee Atwater can tell you all about how important attacking the rights of black Americans was to the success of the Republican party from the 60s-80s), and this offensive was able to capture civil society and form a hegemony, transforming minoritarian bigotries into a platform for the transformation of society. And leftists reciprocated by also moving to a ‘war of position’, retaliating on the same fronts, forming alliances with the autonomous movements, and he makes the case that this strategy was able to capture civil society and form hegemony in some cases, but was ultimately defeated, and ‘political correctness’, identity politics, etc., is this sort of retreat into minoritarian vanguardism (which is, btw, the same analysis Zizek makes).

So for Hall the question is: what is the bridge back? How do you get out of an insular milieu that only talks to itself, and back into a war of position that can “address the real fears, anxieties and confusions as well as pleasures of ordinary people” and “educate them into new conceptions of life" (!) and in this way “constitute majorities where there are now only fragmented minorities” which are capable of launching the revolutionary platform? And Wilderson seems to reply: “what if you couldn’t get back, out of the chaos?” Because for Wilderson those fears, anxieties, confusions and pleasures are all part of an economy of antiblackness, so the only way to address those fears, anxieties, confusions and pleasures of ordinary people and capture civil society is going to be to leverage antiblackness, and we’re back to where we started. So we’re supposed to find some third way, a third strategy, which is neither insular adventurism nor an ‘eductional’ mass line. What is this third way? Well, it’s not really any more clear to me yet, but at least we’re thinking about it in the strategic terms that it’s posed in...

I started to google Meghan agains last week because I knew I was coming back today and I would have to do an update. I haven’t seen any Meghan news whatsoever on any of my social media feeds, so I was shocked to find out that Jessica Mulroney was threatening black people online during the most racially charged environment of the past fifty years or so. I think to start off i should just make a little disclaimer, everything i am going to discuss will be based in my biases probably seeing as I am also a brown British Pakistani person who is Muslim. Zayn has been someone that especially when i was younger I looked up to and was very essential in my journey of learning to love and accept myself and my culture tbh. It’s cheesy as hell but it’s true and i think this is important to know before I go into this more because like I said i am definitely biased towards him. Another thing is that I’m just going to be discussing my personal opinions and also my memory is not very good so i will probably miss out a lot of other things that happened/could be discussed. please dont take this as anything more than just. my opinion.

A thing that really opened my eyes to racism and especially the racism in the 1d fandom was the day that zayn left. I dont think thats what the post above was about btw and ill go into that but i kind of just want to talk about this. The day he left was. a severe mess. Not only because it was obviously upsetting but because of all the bs that people were spouting about a situation that absolutely no one had any context on. the statement that was released on facebook gave us nothing. literally just stated that zayn was leaving the band and the accusations and hatred people were directing towards zayn when we didnt know what actually fucking happened (and still dont might i add) was disgusting. people accusing him of being selfish and how they hated him and why he had to ruin everything. Accusing him of using mental illness as an excuse and lying about it and so much more. i had unfollow more than half of the people i followed that day. it really opened my eyes to the fact that these were all thoughts and opinions people had underneath it all and zayn was fine as long as he was part of 1d and giving people what they wanted. which was essentially being the token in the group and once he wasnt providing that anymore? people turned and people turned fast.

i think its also important to point out the flip side of it and that was zayn stans saying that 1d were nothing without 1d etc. i want to talk about why this was different from ot4 stans hating zayn. of course it wasnt nice to see or hear EVERYONE arguing with each other. i hated it so much. but i think what people failed to realise was that when it comes to situations like this you need to look deeper and think about all the nuances of the situation. zayn stans being happy about zayn leaving the band and saying 1d was going to die i did not agree with. anyone who knew me then and knows me now knows that i am a 1d stan regardless (preferably ot5 but i supported 1d until the end even as a 4some) BUT these opinions were rooted in his mistreatment in the band and the racism he was having to face as a result of being in the band etc etc i apologise for not being a person who can better describe and explain this situation but hopefully you are getting the picture. when fans were hating on zayn. with no context with nothing. that was based on racism. point blank. the amount of tweets FROM 1D FANS talking about how he was leaving to join isis and how upset fans were gonna be vulnerable and join etc etc all this deplorable bs. and he had to deal with comments like that throughout his whole time with one direction and i imagine even now. 

Another thing id like to talk about is who zayn stans at least from my point of view usually were. For me i remember when i first got into the fandom i actively made the decision that i didnt want zayn to be my favourite because i didnt want to be a stereotype and this was a point in my life when i still tried to shun and push my culture down because i was ashamed of it. it was only as i slowly saw that zayn was considered as cool and hot and everyone else liked him that i kind of understood that maybe. being brown was alright and it was something cool and that maybe i was cool. it sounds fucked up and honestly i dont even know if i want to be admitting this so adamantly but argh if it helps someone understand then maybe its worth it. (mortifying ordeal of being known eh?) anyways i noticed as i engaged more in fandom and looked for more diversity, more fans like me, majority of non white fans were also... zayn stans. and honestly it makes sense because we all tended to flock towards the closest diversity we could find it seems. im not saying that there werent white zayn stans and that the other boys didnt have non white stans but i just wanted to point out this trend. so when you also take this into account and the fact that on the day zayn left it was majorly... white stans who were criticizing zayn it puts it in perspective for you. majority of fans who still like and support zayn are also not white.

there is a lot more to do with fans but hopefully thats enough of an insight and you can understand the kind of vibes that were present during 1ds prime and what not only zayn had to go through but also as a result the racism we ended up having to deal with as well tbh.

now!!!... something i dont really like talking about lol so this will probably be short but the other boys. so as far as i can remember liams always been kind to zayn since hes left (no surprise there <3 also please correct me if im wrong), niall was kind of indifferent/didnt say anything really, and then there was louis and harry *awkward smile*. hahaha. from my memory i remember when asked about what the most difficult thing was about zayn leaving harry said ‘the paperwork’ which was *awkward smile* and he also kicked that monkey mask/pinata? i cant remember with naughty boys face on it and honestly im sure theres more but his overall reaction to zayn leaving was kind of not caring and maybe being slightly nasty which :) with louis there was the massive twitter fight which literally tears my soul in half so lets not go into that haha and honestly other things where it maybe seemed like he was upset with zayn leaving as well. honestly i am a bit in two minds about these reactions because at the end of the day we dont know what occurred behind the scenes and we probably never will as much as we can speculate or whatever. not to mention that this 10th anniversary it seems maybe everyones on good terms which, who knows really im going to try be optimistic. i think whats important to note about heir reactions is that we dont know anything about their situations but the problem was really how fans reacted tbh (btw i forgot to mention earlier this is about basically everything except for harry and the nb thing. that is inexcusable). the boys reactions were understandable but the problem is that fans of course vicariously are influenced by the boy they stan so when one of them acted a certain way of course that ended up reflecting in fandom and resulted in more racism etc. 

another thing with zayn was that there were many files leaked with like promo or whatever basically describing what kind of role the boys would take on/ their image etc. and of course all the other boys got things like bubbly/funny/charming etc and zayns descriptors? moody, mysterious, dark horse etc etc like from the inception of 1d zayn has been victim to racist stereotypes being pushed on him. and i think this is where harry comes in because of course the image pushed onto him was also extremely harmful and i definitely dont think we should not talk about that but often you'll see that... thats all that is talked about because people are uncomfortable admitting racism and talking about it. 

When i mentioned other celebrities my point was basically just that while ive only talked about zayn in one direction this... is so present among any and every fandom. 5sos, Little Mix, Fifth Harmony... any fandom you can think of, i promise you it is there. racism in fandom is a real thing and a big problem and honestly this is why i always say representation is so important. and when i say that i mean everywhere!!! because if I didnt seek out non white fans to follow then maybe i would’ve had a completely different perspective on all of this.

The thing is also that a lot of this is just stuff that we’ve been able to get our hands on and also fan analysis and theories etc. there is probably so much more to talk bout or go into or stuff we’ll never even know about. I’ve kind of had to make peace with the fact that with celebrities you just really don’t actually know anything about them.

I've been getting anons and replies telling me to kill myself and describing in detail how they want to hurt me because I'm critical of the US military and I pointed out fandom racism and there's nothing I can do other than a block that can be easily evaded. I've reported hundreds of fash blogs and they're still up, and I doubt anyone on the Tumblr moderation team even knows or cares what hindutva is because there are dangerous far right hindu fascist blogs running rampant on this site making lives absolute hell for dalit and muslim bloggers and the staff won't even educate themselves enough to make it a deletable offense, despite the fact that if they doxx people and leak information it can get people physically hurt or killed.

But the second a white influencer gets threatened it's all guns out! Literally I hope everyone who opts into post plus gets run off this hellsite. I’ll share a theory about a magic creature in the show so if you or other people don’t want to read it, just ignore the following paragraphs under the cut. I’ll connect this theory to Blade, so it may be of your interest.

There’s this theory that maybe a ~certain~ character whose name I can’t tell because it was leaked is disguised as [spoiler] Mephisto [/spoiler]. And to be honest, I’m starting to believe it? So maybe, just maybe, even though Wanda is more connected to Chthon, there will be a mystic creature behind her “magic” after all, pulling some kind of influence on her (which is better than going full “crazy woman trope” in my opinion because of all the problematic stuff).

Some people also believe it’s Nightmare (@godofmagic, this moment is yours!!), and there’s a third possibility that it’s maybe Chthon.

It pains me to say it because I do love both Nightmare and Mephisto, but I’d rather have Chthon because of his connection to Wanda and chaos magic. The more they insert magic, the better for us magic fans, am I right?

That said, if it’s indeed Chthon, it opens the possibility to the Darkhold and, obviously, vampires. It’s funny because the Darkhold already appeared in the MCU twice (on AoS and Runaways) but that book was a joke compared what it truly represents in the Marvel Universe.

I swear to Vishanti, if they pull the scientific version of vampires, I’ll riot! I’m glad Doctor Strange was out so the cartoon (at least, Avengers Assemble) made magic more tangible with both Stephen and Loki.

But hopefully, that’s not gonna happen. It’s quite sad that Helstrom disappeared as soon as it came out because they also went full magic. Not to mention Runaways’ third season with Nico and Morgan.

I have hope they’ll add the supernatural side of the MCU little by little instead of the technology and science bs they always tend to pull on us. Midnight Sons would be fantastic, especially if they developed Johnny Blaze (not Nicolas Cage pls, Marvel, don’t do this since you’re bringing every single actor who has ever played a Marvel role before to the new movies).

Well. Okay, I’ve talked about this a lot but I understand people don’t just read all my answers and it’s totally my fault for procrastinating on that faq page so let me just go through this again in an as clear way as possible?

I haven’t stopped drawing for hq! As a matter of fact in the last week alone I have posted one, two and three things for that fandom for a total of five portraits and a three panels comic

That said I understand with the rhythm I update this blog you might think “well, that isn’t much at all, is it?”, which, again, is my fault because - even though when compared to most art blogs’ update schedules eight drawing in one week is more than enough - I’m the one who set the rhythm here

The “problem” with hq is that all my favorite characters are currently absent from the manga and there’s no anime airing, while at the same time my other main fandom (bnha) has both an interesting arc going on in the manga AND an anime season airing right now - I hope you’ll understand if my interest at the moment is mostly focused there, that’s a continuous stream of inspiration I have coming my way

To add to that some parts of the Haikyuu!! fandom are being unrespectful of what I post (this includes reposting, treating my stuff as if it were templates for their own art instead of ship/character specific content, honestly unrespectful comments and tags under a lot of my main ships posts and so on) which, you’ll excuse me, but dampens the joy I get from posting art a lot

Moreover, the creative side of the hq fandom is being, at least for what concerns the zones I frequent, pretty damn quiet lately, so I can’t say I get much inspiration from there either

I haven’t stopped and I can’t see in my foreseeable future myself stopping posting stuff for haikyuu!!, and all things considered I don’t think I’m posting too little for it either? Art and inspiration aren’t things I want to force, if I started I would stop finding drawing enjoyable really damn fast and I can’t let that happen - please be understanding, I first and foremost draw for myself, I can’t help it if sometimes I get stuck on one fandom or another

I still don’t think Kaminari is the traitor - as a matter of fact, I still don’t think the traitor is any of the kids. If that’s how it’ll turn out to be I’ll be sad about it, for sure, but right now I really, really don’t believe it. It’s true that the Kaminari-is-the-traitor theory is very cleverly worded and super convincing, but a lot of the things in it are really stretched out as far as I’m concerned

ie, taking the weird faces Horikoshi makes him make in the sketches and using them as proof that he’s got a double face? Too far out for me; his original design being that of a villain? Deku’s original design was villain-ish too, no one is calling him a traitor; taking the expression he made when Aizawa told him he could go to the camp and making it sound like he didn’t want to go? Might be believable as long as you don’t take into account the fact that he had just had a conversation with Midoriya in which he told him it was impossible Aizawa would let them go and that Midoriya was just being too optimistic, the “what the actual fuck is this” expression makes a lot more sense in that context; the fact that he makes clever quotes and uses a complex vocabulary used to say that he’s pretending to be stupid is unfair towards the very real possibility of him just not liking studying or thinking things through analytically but otherwise enjoying reading and being fairly intelligent in his own way?? - in the theory it’s also mentioned that it’s weird how during USJ he was worried about an electricity villain overcharging him as if that’s not perfectly normal, having an electricity quirk obviously doesn’t stop him from suffering overcharges, and later during the end of term exam they say it’s “weird” he refused to go all out with his qurik from the start, again, as if that weren’t a perfectly sensible decision in that context (you have to keep in mind that Kaminari is also studying to become an hero, him going “wait a second, maybe keeping on going stupid and putting myself out of commission every time I fight isn’t the right choice” is perfectly in line with him growing up and learning)

Now I don’t have the post open in front of me and it’s been a while since I’ve read it, but most of the theory as far as I get it is based on the idea that Kaminari can’t be lazy and an airhead and might talk without thinking now and again (the Stain comment), but at the same time be clever in his own ways, which just isn’t convincing for me. It’s taking this character’s three dimensionality and making it a plot-hole, why would you want to do that

(on a similar note, the Kirishima-is-the-traitor theory doesn’t convince me for the same kind of reason, it’s all based on the idea that he can’t just genuinely like Bakugou for who he is without having second reasons for it, which is just unfair and cuts too much off the personality of a really good, well written character)

As far as the new villain guy goes, I understand why most of the fandom might be weary and linking him to Kaminari, but we don’t know his color scheme nor his quirk and the pattern on his hair isn’t even a lightning bolt - Horikoshi has had to make up unique designs for a whole damn lot of characters, the fact that one random guy might have something similar to Kaminari isn’t really enough to make him his dad (again, it might turn out to be true, but in my opinion it’s still too early to make theories about it). Also, this guy is from the Eight Precepts. Weren’t you all trying to link Kaminari to the League of Villains? Isn’t the traitor supposedly tied with the League? How many people is this boy working for even

By the way, during the USJ attack the villains had informations they couldn’t have gotten from any of the kids aside from Midoriya (the “they told me All Might was getting weaker” comment) and tbh that’s enough for me to not believe any of the student is behind the informations leak, but all of this is just my opinion

Ok so last vote I felt like having a little fun since there was no drama and that's boring. Mo came to me and asked me what happened with the Ben vote and I told him that someone told me about a 5 person faves alliance so I panicked and voted out Ben. So the part where I heard about the 5 fave alliance is true BUT I heard it from Jake. I told Mo that Eddie told me about it and I also told Mo that Julia is the one who leaked it to Eddie. So then the vote is between Julia and Mo because Mo starts going around and throwing Julia and Eddie under the bus. Julia gets online and is PISSED OFF, she starts gunning for Mo. Eddie was sitting pretty since he was safe from vote off despite me telling Mo that Eddie leaked to me. Then Julia and Mo make up and turn the vote to Matt and he ends up going home. Out of all the 3 names spread last round none of them were fans names. Now this round we have Eddie and Julia murdering each other and I am just sitting pretty, this is perfection. Eddie and Julia will go for each other til death do them part. This will come back to bite me soon but for now imma enjoy it.

When my Quirk activated, it nearly put my classmates in hospital, but apparently our teacher was lucky enough to have a preventative item on standby. I sulked in the corner, pout hidden underneath a borrowed scarf as he phoned up my parents.

Ch1: Origin Story

When my Quirk activated, it nearly put my classmates in hospital, but apparently our teacher was lucky enough to have a preventative item on standby. I sulked in the corner, pout hidden underneath a borrowed scarf as he phoned up my parents.

"It's Yoshida-sensei," he told them. "Saki's got her Quirk. Congratulations; it's Toxic."

As if it'd be anything else. My pasty complexion and acid-green hair were huge red flags that, nope, I wouldn't get Erasure like dad. Nonetheless I'd refused the possibility of inheriting something that seemed so scary and therefore suspended any precautions as soon as my parents were out of sight... Hence the accident.

Needless to say I was grounded as soon as I got home.

"We'd understand if it was a mistake," mom stressed. "We'd understand if something leaked, but you took off your mask and coughed miasma."

She made it sound like I'd done it intentionally. When I argued otherwise, she realised I wasn't wearing my mask to begin with and I got punished with an early bedtime too. I learned to keep my mouth shut after that.

But could you blame me for rebelling? What sort of (almost)-four-year-old wanted to be the freak who wore a gas mask to kindergarten?

A few months down the line, when morals and mortality finally clicked, I understood that my mom's reaction was perfectly reasonable. My epiphany may or may not have been influenced by my newfound ability to sneeze black goo. In any case, I recognised that I'd been a brat and apologised to my teacher again for endangering the lives of him and my classmates. Genuinely apologised; not pretending like I had been the morning after The Cough. If he was wondering why I was asking for repentance a second time, he didn't make his questions vocal. Instead he simply ruffled my hair and warned me to be more careful next time. Considering I was forced to constantly wear that damn gas mask ever since my Quirk manifested, it was a pointless reminder.

Still, an accepted apology was weight off my shoulders. The only reason I'm still thinking about it is because he was recently arrested for negligence.

That was disturbingly unsurprising. Looking back, before the incident, Yoshida hadn't cared whether or not I wore my mask even though I clearly owned it for a reason. In fact, I'm certain my parents had outright told him it was to prevent everyone in the classroom from getting infected if/when I got a Toxic Quirk.

But he didn't do anything. It was obvious he didn't give a damn about anyone's safety but his own. He hadn't harmed any kids directly, but who's to say what would have happened if he hadn't been there when I started coughing up fumes?

Not all bad guys have secret lairs and plan to take over the world; some are much more close to home. The average person walks past 11 murderers in their lifetime. How many more everyday Villains, like pickpockets and fraudsters? Too many. That's why I became a Hero.

I suppose you’re right about that, but i think all in all Harry’s intentions weren’t slut shaming. I watched it and i didn’t see it like that, and i know people who didn’t see it like that, either. But again, i can see why you do.

And okay, i understand Harry has never been seen with someone who isn’t white. But take me, for example, and many other people in this world. I don’t divide my types between black & white, however, i somehow have only ended up dating white boys/girls. Everyone in my family and everyone who knows me personally knows that i have liked people from many different races. But all my ex’s were all white, and i would hate for people to see me as someone that’s racist (even though i know you said you aren’t calling anyone that) just because i’ve only dated white people.

This could be happening with Harry. He could like/have liked someone who was of a different race but nothing ended up happening. We really don’t know Harry as much as we think we do, and realistically, we really don’t know a bit of his love life. I think jumping to that conclusion of “Harry only likes white girls” is farfetched. All we know is that what we see on the media and we KNOW that’s not all of Harry.

I don’t think, for a second, Harry would only ever date a white woman, or even only like white women. There are so many different circumstances for this that it’s innumerable. We can’t jump to that just because “Harry’s been seen with Kendall Jenner.”

And yes, i do think Harry should have at least given her a heads up. But i still stand with my previous argument on it, so i think we both agree with this one.

He didn’t bring up Kendall though. I can’t exactly blame Harry for someone else bringing up the Kardashian’s/Jenner’s being easy. I don’t agree with it at ALL, but he didn’t say anything about it and i personally just think sipping his tea was more about his past with her than anything else.

And yes, it sucks for certain people but there is nothing wrong with people having types. You really can’t say that’s problematic when EVERYONE has one. That’s such a normal thing and it’s only a “problem” because he’s famous.

I agree with the Carolina thing, yes, but again, i can’t completely blame him on her private life being leaked. His song was written and sung with good intentions and i think some fans fucked that up.
