IM SO SORRY IT TOO SO LONG TO ANSWER at first i wanted to answer with a drawing/couple of sketches but then i procrastinated which made me feel bad, because i RLLY wanted to share this lore.

okay so, let's just start with saying this off chest,

calamari cookie is the secret, land identity of Kraken Cookie, a legendary kraken-like sea creature which has roamed the seas around the Creme Republic.

I've been working on a story for it for a while now, so i'll share a quick timeline. Calamari/Kraken uses she/he/they pronouns in both identities.

The story happens somewhere after the events of A Mermaid's Tale, but in a different part of the sea. With the ongoing hunt for sea creature cookies, great kraken cookie was one of the main targets for hunting season, being called a "threat" to all the cookies of the republic, but because of Abalone's demise events prior, another crew of cookies was assigned with hunting her. These cookies were the family of Macadamia Cookie, the Macadamia Clan. It wasn't a powerful house like House Oyster, hell it was a simple Cookie Clan. But the republic knew these cookies were the creme de la creme of sailors, hardened by their bond and experiences.

The at the time head of the clan, which was macadamia's maternal ancestor, was assigned with hunting kraken cookie for good.

instead, what she saw was not a monster, not a dangerous sea creature, but a hurt cookie drowned in grief from all the pain that cookies like abalone has caused them and their friends. forming a friendship between the two, macadamia's ancestor came with an offer, that they will protect great kraken at any cost and will hide the truth, but he will have to dissappear from the public eye. and so, using magic, kraken cookie has taken the land identity of calamari cookie, as macadamia's family sworn protection of her.

it is now a family secret that the family clan has hidden the truth, saving the sea cookie instead of slaying it, like they were commissioned with. everyone believes that "the kraken is dead", yet no one knows the truth. that is the reason why macadamia cookie is calamari's cookie first mate and most trusted crew member, just as his ancestors were her most trusted cookies too.

after all these years, calamari is still grateful for the help, and thank to them, she learned that not all land cookies are evil, but was still hurt by the ones who were rotten inside, that is why, calamari never takes evil cookies lightly, especially those who dare threaten her found family - the kraken fortune crew.

the drive up to your hometown for the holidays was filled with dread, not only because you would soon be in a room filled with relatives you couldn't stand, but the possibility of running into your high school sweetheart was heightened this time of year, and the way things had ended left you both with a bad taste in your mouth. things with soobin had always been simple, but when you had chosen to leave town for college and he got accepted at your state university, the two of you parted ways. he had always secretly hoped you would change your mind and come running home from LA, and back to him, but he was not so lucky.

soobin had been asked by his mother to help her with some last-minute grocery shopping for his family's holiday party. reluctantly, he agreed, strolling through the aisles, humming along to the faint sound of a christmas song playing through the supermarket's speakers. as he rounded the corner, making his way through the store, he stopped dead in his tracks. because there you were, beautiful as ever, and you were real. right in front of him. he quickly began to turn around, hoping to make his escape before your eyes could land on him, but then he heard it.

"soobin?"

he heard your soft voice call from behind him. turning around to finally meet your gaze, he put on the biggest fake smile he could muster, though you would be oblivious if you couldn't feel the tension in the air. it was cold, uninviting, and nothing like the boy you used to know. it broke your heart, seeing him this way and knowing that, at least partly, it was your doing.

seeing soobin again had caused your mind to go wild with what-ifs. what if you had never left? would you still be happily in love? maybe it was stupid to relive the past, but you couldn't help feeling as if you had made a massive mistake.

"time flies, messy as the mud on your truck tires, now im missing your smile, hear me out, we could just ride around and the road not taken looks real good now"

now you sit in your childhood bedroom, wondering if you could make it work again. you knew that you would forever miss soobin, and you had nobody but yourself to blame for that. you miss the way his smile could light up your small town, his kindness that you had always admired so much, and the way he loved you with everything he had. to say you were regretful would be a horrible understatement.

"so i'll go back to LA and the so-called friends who'll write books about me if i ever make it, and wonder about the only soul who can tell which smiles i'm fakin, and the heart i know i'm breakin' is my own, to leave the warmest bed i've ever known"

you have since never been able to meet another person quite like him. soobin truly was one of a kind, you were lucky to have known him at all. after him, you were unable to find that kind of connection with another person, always feeling like your new friends didn't fully understand you, or care much for you at all for that matter. it was purely a show friendship, one you could post online and hope that nobody could see through the facade you had put up, but he always could.

he knew you better than anybody. he knew that you had not been really, truly happy in quite some time. you couldn't hide that from him if you wanted to.

Alrighty I’ve finally finished season 5

I hate how obvious it is they’re trying to tone the show down completely to even lower audience demographic. The first 3 seasons were for kids but there was actual peril and darker concepts and stuff that were much more interesting damn you Nickelodeon and your desperate attempt to keep the most squeaky clean image ever not only does it not work it’s costing stories and plot

I REFUSE to believe Stella would be a bad fashion designer with how much she loves fashion (I know it was a joke in s1 too but I still refuse). Plus, avant-garde is a thing and she would serve

That boat that was sent from Andros was def made exclusively for the winx there is NO WAY that style exists anywhere else on that planet for land related peoples with all of its hard lines and industrial style architecture with its limited color palettes

The nautical themed outfits are cute but Bloom’s looks SO overdone to me and Stella,, my sweet babygorl,, wtf did you do to your own fit?? Aisha’s poodle puff braid ftw also

basically um so ive drawn a buncha maps of islands andstuff and theres a buncha nations.. yassez is the one ive. yknow. actually populated so far. the other 3 plotrelevant ones are isthmus and polonge (isthmus has claimed territory in polonge and fully occupies yassez). polonge is also at war with geuzi. fontaine has a treaty with geuzin. jicama and selenia are fighting over a strip of coast. danovsk is also fighting jicama over a pass thru the mountains. branthia is waiting on the sidelines ready to do very important Peacekeeping such as Supplying Weapons to insurgent terrorist cells.

poirier vs. chandler… im not even exaggerating when i say that fight made me nearly puke and pass out bro. i got fucked up sweat glands so your girl can’t sweat but if she could she woulda been DRIPPING from head to toe last night LOL. guys i think the reason i went so crazy was because i actually mentally prepared myself for the fight to be bad, for real. that’s genuinely what i did. i went into the fight telling myself that there was a well and good possibility that michael might actually just wrassle him into a decision and i was all good with it because i was still gonna like them no matter what. but HOLY CRAP i need to remind myself to never doubt them ever again because that was AMAZING!!!! start to finish was just an absolute dog fight. they looked so exhausted and broken and blood was pouring everywhere and michael was tossing dustin like a bag of flour only for said bag of flour to start raining punches on him (a la justin gaethje lol) and it was fucking incredible and i cant believe it really happened. not to mention the alvarez-chandler-gaethje-poirier circle of violence is finally complete hahah omg it feels unreal. and i can't believe dustin finished ALL of them.. he's so classy and talented and handsome lul he's really the perfect fighter

but hol on i wanna mention michael cheating because i’m not gonna lie that really made me question him?? not that iron michael chandler cares about what some delusional mma fan in canada thinks about him LMAO but still he always carries himself like a professional athlete everywhere he goes and he seems to pride himself on his ability to stand out among the fighters who don’t have the speaking style or the business etiquette that he does, so when he went into the fight and started pounding on the back of his head and actually HOOKING HIS FINGERS on the inside of dustin’s mouth trying to make him show his neck, it made me scratch my head because why are you behaving like an olympic athlete in front of the press only to go in the cage and treat your opponent like an abused farm animal lmao?

though im ngl… the idea of this polite, charismatic, american psycho type dude entering the cage and turning on mean ape mode is actually fucking hilarious? and he’s kind of more interesting to me now?? so i guess it doesn’t really matter that my opinion of him went down a little hahah silly observation but there’s my two cents. i’m still super impressed by both of them and they both have my heart at the end of the day

izzy vs pereira had me biting my nails into little shreds because i could feel exactly what they were feeling. alex is just one of those “one clean hit and you’re out” fighters but izzy is obviously still a master of striking so watching those exchanges was like watching two people balancing on a plank over shark-infested waters lolol it was crazy nerve wracking. however y’all know that i was rooting for alex so i am super duper happy and i can’t wait to see who challenges him next!! tbh i’d prefer anybody but khamzat because if he really does move up to middleweight and becomes alex’s first challenger he’s fucked lmao cries… please start training in dagestan alex thank u <3
