I made a Picrew~ I ill probably add more options over time but for now it has all the basic items I wanted from the base game, plus a few additional options~

If you want a pawpad colour separate from the paw lines, select the final paw lines option and head over to the body markings 2 section to select from a few different pad types.

Please note that because of Picrew's limitations, body/ear/hair markings have to be manually selected for the corresponding base choice you have made. If you find your markings are outside of the lines and didn't mean for this to happen, please double check the body base type (paws, mouse, or bunny)

The second set of face markings has the tears on an additional layer so they appear on top of the eyes.

For now, certain colours are linked to each other to simulate the game's limitations (while some options remain unlinked due to picrew limitations or otherwise). I might unlink them later~

I did Lexi and Maddie here and Ash and Gwen here. Time for... Noelle and Rose!

Noelle

Noelle was not in Draft One at all, but her equivalent first showed up late into Draft Two planning stages. Her name was Heather Collins, and I don't remember how I came up with the name. I never wrote anything with Heather, but she was planned to be the narrator of Book 15 (in Draft Two, twelve year old me thought she'd have a giant series and have a new narrator in each book...) and had telekinesis, which Noelle still has. In Draft Three, I changed her name to Lana Daron. I also don't know where I came up with this name. She had one shout-out but I never showed her--I didn't get the chance to. Her name became Noelle Bishop in Draft Four. I once knew someone named Carissa who had to constantly correct people calling her Clarissa, and she always clarified "no L" when correcting people. No L, Noelle—supposedly a couple people actually called her this as a joke. It was late into Draft Four before I made her real name actually Carissa and her correction being genuinely misheard as Noelle, and the name sticking. Originally it was Lexi but after cutting that scene, I made it Ash in a different flashback and it's much better. Bishop came about because I was watching Fringe. Noelle looked essentially the same: fair skin, light brown hair and eyes, etc., and while she was always tall she used to be more typically tall rather than Alii tall. Her wardrobe was always more or less the same: rather simple. She does more typically have her hair in a low ponytail rather than the original loose design. Personality wise, Noelle has gone through huge changes. She used to be.... chipper. Her personality then shifted slowly but surely until she became someone completely different throughout Draft Four. Her personality was basically given to Issa, and Noelle became more introverted, more loyal to her blood family, more logical, more cold, etc. It's weird to read Draft Four. Her first scene she talks in peppy exclamations and gives hugs. What the fuck. I can't with Draft Four Noelle. But I knew she needed a different personality. Even then, I'm refining, but to give her the plotline I wanted she had to be like this.

Rose

Rose didn't first appear in any way, shape, or form until Draft Four. I joke that she came from the metal detector McGuffin in Drafts 1-3 because she can detect the portal but that's a bit of a joke. In reality, I wanted an extra person to round out the friend group since it was originally similar to my actual middle school friend group (not anymore lol). She looks basically the same: light brown skin, dark wavy brown hair and eyes, glasses, etc. Though always curvy I did make her heavier. She used to wear hoodies but now I give her flannel overshirts. Her personality has changed or developed a lot. The issue is, I have her Trauma and Angst, which means it's repressed. So writing her is hard since hinting at her personality is difficult. But it's more than she had! Now Rose has a lot more to do, which is good for her. For her name, I originally gave her Rosa, but for some reason I felt like Rose fit slightly better. Though for years, I felt like Rose would be her nickname, but she still didn't strike me as a Rosa. In Draft Five, I realized what it was: Rose isn't short for Rosa, it's short for Rosalinda! Her surname was always Hernandez.

Eve Makaroff // HUFFLEPUFF

Oh, boy, I am sorry but Eva would DEFINETLY have a crush on Hellendil. When she was younger, her mother taught her english language by reading her the fantasy tales from the old Europe. So when she saw Hellendil for the first time, he reminded her of an elven prince!

Of course, Hellendil's outgoing and friendly nature didn't help in this at all. She thought to herself: "How come most of my friends from Ravenclaw are so precious and sympathetic?". Eva would absolutely adore their friendship. It seemed to her like that beautiful Ravenclaw boy could read her thoughts! Always hugging her when she needed, always saying the right words

Eva also loved the fact that Hellendil likes Care of Magical Creatures classes as much as her. In her mind caring for the creatures couldn't protect themselves is basically a trait that everyone should have. So Hellendil being one of those people definitely made Eve think of him highly.

Vanessa Nott // SLYTHERIN

Though being raised in a pureblood family - Nessa never had any presumptions about "blood". Most of her friends were half-bloods. The things she really admired were wit and intelligence. When Hellendil bested her in potions-making? She was so annoyed, yet… also very competitive about it. Overall, she had been very impressed with his skill and it motivated her to get better too. (Oh these clever Ravenclaws will be the death of her!)

Vanessa wasn't really interested in men, but she could admire one's style. She thought: "He dresses REALLY good. Like too good!"

Of course, Hellendil was Natty's, Lydia's (@esolean) and Ren (@localravenclaw) friend! And these girls were really important to Vanessa. She wouldn't admit, that she got jealous but… she got. Especially after the troll fight? How wasn't she with him and Natsai?

When the slytherin girl had the chance to know Hellendil better - she understood that they better be friends. There was absolutely no real reason for being over-protective of her girls. Perhaps, the competitiveness runs in the house? Hellendil ended up being a good friend of Vanessa and she loved the fact that Hellendil was so caring to her and her friends :)

like for example, do they have any defining traits (besides them teeth hah)? I noticed the two picrews have them with pointy ears, but I wasn't sure if that was a vampire thing or just them lol. or for example in a lot of media, vampires end up pale or losing their warmth/color to their skin and end up looking greyish--product of being dead I suppose.

Do they have to drink (human) blood or can they, like many others survive on animals? What happens if they don't? do they die or do they just like, dessicate and/or take a long nap lmao Do they have to eat human food too? or does it taste gross to them now?

Once again, was saving these for my birthday. :') So here I go!

Common traits: My vampires have fangs, claws, pale skin, slightly-pointed ears (the picrew exaggerates a bit). All the 'usual' vampire traits. Their fangs and claws can retract. And after they feed, they have a more lively 'glow' to their complexion. (This isn't true for Old vampires. They look pale and dead no matter what. And their fangs stop retracting eventually. This doesn't happen until they're truly ancient though and most vampires don't live that long.)

What they drink: They can drink from humans or animals! Either will sustain them but they might have to feed more often if living on animals alone. Human blood tastes better, but is (understandably) hard for some to obtain. Animal blood isn't the tastiest but it gets the job done without ending a human life. Rayne feeds on animals, drinking rats when he's in the city and drinking deer or foxes if he's near a forest. (He usually tries to leave the woodland creatures alive, but the goddamn rats... Well, he thinks he's doing the city a favor.)

If they stop feeding: A vampire can decide to essentially just go take a really long nap until someone (who they've instructed) wakes them up. Otherwise, if a vampire just stops drinking blood they'll slowly lose their mind and eventually die. Like, if you're 'resting' you don't need to eat. But a vampire who is moving must. (I hope that makes sense?)

Eating human food: Some do, some don't. It depends on the individual (and also age). Rayne loves food, so he eats. Laurent would sometimes, but it usually didn't taste that good anymore. Perhaps because he's accustomed to his liquid diet or because he's older and doesn't feel that sort of hunger anymore.

Fun facts: ♦ Vampires are strongest under a new moon, the opposite of werewolves. ♦ If they're an adult when changed, they stop aging. (Though their hair and nails still grow.) If they're bitten as a child, they grow into their fangs later on. ♦ A vampire's bond with their maker is hard to break, but not impossible. ♦ Vampires drinking each other's blood strengthens the bond between them and allows them to speak telepathically to one another. (This power fades if they stop drinking from each other.) ♦ Vampires can stand in the sun. It is unpleasant, but doesn't burn them to ash instantly. (Older vampires might be an exception...) ♦ Vampires have laws, set by the vamp monarchy. They're more like guidelines. Most people do not follow them. ♦ If a vampire betrays their maker or their coven, one of their fangs is snapped out as a warning. They do not grow back. And there's (basically a) slur for one-fanged vamps. It's very hard for them to make new friends. ♦ Vampires typically get the powers of the one who sired them. (And of any vampires they kill.) ♦ There aren't that many vampires, until the king fucks off and shit starts going crazy. Then their numbers triple within a decade.

Character Summary:

Setsuka is a quiet girl at first glance. Polite and patient, she tends to keep to herself and tries not to bother anyone. Getting to know her will reveal a short tempered, sassy queen. Though her bark is bigger than her bite, she still can hold her own in a fight, whether it is physical or mental. She tends to keep her guard up because of her upbringing.

She is a girl who cares and loves hard for the people who bless this world. Though naive to a fault, she is still kind beneath all that bluster.

Background:

Before she was 'Setsuka', she was Arcelia, the witch or the Blood Parent Subject. From age 5 to 15, she was the personal lab rat for making superhuman soldiers for the military. Unlike her father, her blood was successful in making soldiers out of children of any blood type, granting them power. She was under strict lock and key until Yoshio, then known as Dmitri, broke her out when she was 15, with the help of her father.

On the run from the military, they forged papers and landed in Italy. Setsuka and Yoshio Inoue, two siblings traveling across Europe. It was hard, but they managed. Working their way to Italy, Yoshio begged audience with the don of the Vongola. In exchange for military secrets, Yoshio would receive a recommendation to Varia and work under them as a Cloud guardian and Setsuka would be allowed to hide in their ranks as a grunt.

When she turned 18, Setsuka would end up going to school in Japan as a third year in Namimori High School, along with the tenth candidate, Tsunayoshi Sawada.

Fighting Style:

Setsuka doesn't really like fighting, but over the three years she spent with Varia in Italy, she's learned melee combat and gun handling of an assorted type. She prefers to stay on the defensive, so a lot of her combat is self defense. When she is on the offensive, however, she aims for pressure points to subdue her opponent since she can't do a prolonged fight.

Trivia:

Setsuka learned how to fight during her time in Italy, with Yoshio pounding every single type of combat in order for her to be able to protect herself. He refused to be gentle to her in training, so she is technically an even match to Yoshio.

Setsuka has heightened empathy, which morphed into clairvoyance as a result of the time they spent hiding from sight. She can sense living and dead beings within a 5 mile range. Can't exorcise anything, though, just speak to them.

Setsuka was technically homeschooled, as the laboratory workers rarely allowed her to interact with children her age, the only exception being Yoshio, who was her guard dog for the military base.

Setsuka was given art materials, video games and anime, with permission requested from her father to the military leader, so she had an outlet in her room due to the constant isolation. She also drew on the walls when she didn't have paper

Setsuka and her father were kept separated, but he was allowed to meet with her once a month. She used to look forward to those days because it meant she didn't have to go to the blood transference room and she gets to have quality time with him.

Setsuka's singing is very sweet and clear. Her singing voice claim is Lizz Robinett. They have a healing touch to it due to her empathy ability.

He was created for a universe with him and my friend's lamb ocs all managing the camp together and overthrowing the different gods as a new pantheon, so I haven't actually thought about what his own cult would be like yet

-Escaped Leshy

-Had no name, he was mistaken for a bandit and called a 'Brigand' when he suddenly rushed out of the brush to confront the group and adopted that as his name 'Briggund', though his friends just call him Brigg

-Easily excitable and impulsive, he loves going on missions outside of camp and slaughtering the cult's enemies and dissenters

-Was exposed to lots of bloodshed as a child when the lambs were being hunted down and had been living alone for a long time surviving in the wild until finally getting caught by Leshy's followers. As a result, Briggund isn't used to "domestic life" at the camp and is uncomfortable with the relatively peaceful atmosphere

-Despite this he's incredibly loyal since the cult took him in and gave him a home. Because of this he's especially strict with dissenters because he sees them as betraying the camp and everyone in it and lowkey takes it personally. Also, since he feels uncomfortable with the peace of the camp it feels like evidence for why he had felt so uneasy, so he feels justified in taking his frustration at his inability to settle in out on them. He sees anyone who would do the cult harm as the enemy, even if it was only lightly doubting the new gods or if they once were allies

-Has a nigh slapstick level of luck when it comes to almost getting beaten up or killed. Someone swings a bat and he looks to the side towards someone who'd called his name and they just miss and the inertia of the swing sends them to the floor. Or he drops to the floor to look at a bug or pick up a sharp rock to throw at someone later just in time to miss getting hit by an arrow.

-Likes working at the bar! ... Do Not Let Him Work At The Bar. His drinks are either really tasty or absolutely horrible and cause hallucinations and vomiting. He says he's just randomly mixing things but if you pay attention you can tell which it'll be by seeing if he sets a drink aside for himself (He either makes something he's craving, or a random mix of plants and things he knows have weird but nonlethal effects so he can watch the drunk people stumbling around and picking fights)

-He sabotages his drinks less when he's not bored. So if he's just returned from an expedition he'll make reliably good drinks and choices, he only acts out when he's gotten antsy. Send him out on missions every now and again and he's actually pretty harmless (so far as messing with the followers goes)

-He used to be covered in leaves and dirt and mats before getting sheared for the first time in forever, somehow the mushrooms remained and kept regrowing. Some think he's cultivating them on purpose. He calls them his 'Emergency Rations' and they cause hallucinogenic effects when eaten, though he's grown a resistance to them over the years. If he tampers with the soup or a drink- it's most likely that one of his mushrooms was included in the mix

-He's still remarkably bad at maintaining his wool, he has no idea how the other lambs' wool stays so clean and soft. It's like the moment he grows it back it comes in covered in dirt and blood. Maybe it's got to do with all the camping in the forest around the cult he does, but sleeping on the ground or in the trees are the only places solid enough for him! The cots are too soft to be comfortable :/

-Fighting pit champion, he keeps almost getting banned for foul play and but they can never prove it. What they really want is to ban him for being too rough, but they didn't exactly set out any rules against what he was doing until after he'd won the matches, so they couldn't ban him for that either. It only took him giving 5 other competitors rabies for them to officially make it a rule to ban biting... At least his fights are always entertaining!

-After converting the gods he has a staunch rivalry with Leshy, not even out of anything personal they just hate each other. It's because they're shockingly similar in a lot of ways, but there can be only one! They're always trying to one up each other

So in your Mia and Me fanfics what am I supposed to be picturing when thinking of more specifically Yuko and Mo. Mo especially I’m interested to know.. like every little detail so please do describe them all to me 😭what’s his hair type? Did you make his skin darker? (Brown would look lovely if u ask me) what’s his nose shape like? Any beauty marks? Same for Yuko?? What’s going on appearance wise?

OH MY GOD I'VE BEEN WAITING FOR SOMEONE TO ASK THIS

roughly, this is what the trio looks like, including mia's human form! but i'll do a quick rundown of specifics!!

mia: mia is the SPITTING IMAGE of her father, especially when she's in the human world. she has loose brown curls that reach down to about her upper back and her ears pierced. light brown freckles are on her cheeks, and she has a bigger beauty mark on her right cheek (the picrew i used didn't have that option lol). she's the shortest of the trio. in the human world, she has little pink streaks running through her hair that she usually has to use a spell to cover. there's a scar that can be seen stretching above her elf dress (which is the same as canon), almost reaching her neck, from fighting panthea. she likes to wear long sleeves to cover her bracelet, but as it's the middle of summer where we currently are in the story, she doesn't get that option much. her ears are a LITTLE bit pointed in the story when she's in the human world, and her wings are light pink, like in canon!

yuko: yuko is lithe and muscular. she has red hair that just brushes her shoulders when she lets it down, though she never does. she has a small mark shaped like a sun on her right cheek. it's not as obvious as her star from canon is, it glows gold when yuko uses a lot of magic. it's shaped like this!

her eyes are sapphire blue, and she tends to wear small blue gemstones in her hair. just because she's a badass warrior doesn't mean she can't look cute! she's also the only one (in canon as well) that wears real shoes! yuko wears gladiator sandals that lace up around her calves (whereas mia basically wears thigh-high socks and mo has half his foot out). when she can, she likes painting things on herself, like poetry and other little doodles, though she tends to only do that if she knows she won't have to fight anytime soon, so mia hasn't gotten to see the doodles. yuko has a roman nose, because i have a roman nose and i WILL project onto every one of these characters, so she has the small bump in the bridge of her nose. she has the most scars as well, from hundreds of fights over the years. her wings are the same yellowy-orange as from canon, though they are longer than mia's. she's the second-tallest in the group.

mo: mo is the one i changed the most, obviously. he's got dark brown skin (as does mayla, btw. they aren't blood related but in my heart mayla has dark skin and wears her hair in long braids). his curls are about 3b and his hair is like canon, so black it's almost blue. he has a rounder face than yuko does. his nose is flatter than the other two (and as stated in s1e20, they think it's adorable). he has way less scars than yuko. most of his tend to be on his hands from muncs' snakebites. technically, he's supposed to be wearing his crown everywhere, but mayla and raynor realized long ago that that's a lost cause and gave up lol. he's the tallest of the trio, beating yuko by about two inches, but his wings are shorter than hers, longer than mia's. his eyes are an indigo-sort of purple, the same as his friendship ring. he fidgets when he's uncomfortable, most often playing with his friendship ring or opening and closing his water glare. he wears ear cuffs up by the tips of his pointed ears as well, most of the time.

Making this fun new friend for a game that's starting up soon, been wanting to play a class I've never played before so going for Sorcerer (Clockwork Soul) for this dude. the picrew of him doesn't really show it but he's a pretty large rat with a nasty scar over his eye and a sewing needle he wields as a spear! to get places he threads some yarn through it, javelin throw the needle into a surface then use the string to get across.

as a baby rat he was in a nest with a bunch of siblings until his mother had to leave for food. he of course followed and saw these things for the first time

he follows her up a ladder by individually jumping up each bar then at the top he'd lost sight of her until he heard a loud snapping sound followed by the overwhelming scent of blood tinge his mouth.

he does what any rat would do and he just books it, running far and fast for days to try and find his nest again until he stumbles upon a mouse nest instead.

this is where he's introduced to L.Ajax (named after B.Ajax) and L.Ajax's mother allows for him to stay in the nest where they're raised alongside each other :]

L.Ajax actually wields a pair of scissors and grew up alongside his brother ofc! After a while, they move out of the nest and find a barrel of discarded sewing equipment where they take on more and more rodent folk to live with them.

After a while the barrel gets found out by a cat who just demands little snacks every once in a while and the population of rodents decreases.

B.Ajax implores the help of another oc I have called Crowy and someone else's character named Rover (credit to blathers the owl).

L.Ajax is bitter and spiteful towards "Giants" but accepts their help anyways and they just.. pick up the cat and move it.

Soon, they get accepted mostly and integrated into society by the Emperor and get their own little place called Grease, a rodentfolk town of little objects and little people.

The Ajax's become princes of this place and B.Ajax establishes more relations with the Giants as L.Ajax's spite just grows at the injustices.

Perpetually not in the mood.

Her hair is way messier than shown(all love to Baydews and their picrew btw).

In my head the reason the doppelgangers go after the doorman instead of just killing everyone in the apartment first is because that office is basically a honeypot designed to catch them. As soon as blood is spilled in the office a sensor goes off and she's alerted and the office shuts off outside access. She then goes to every apartment to make sure all the residents are human after the D.D.D. arrive to take the doppelganger in.

I know in arcade mode the doppelgangers can answer the phone but this honestly doesn't make much sense to me. The main reason is how do they get a key? Most of the time the real version is also coming in or in their apartment. And given doppelgangers are well known I'd assume most residents would have some code to verify who their roommates are.

I also think bouncing off of this that the stair door is probably locked on all floors and the apartment keys only open the door on the floor the apartment that key goes to is on. The elevator would likely just have a door in front of it when you exit.

She is the only one in the building that has a weapon that can neutralize a doppelganger(Unless Afton is the same Afton as on that secret document but then again that wouldn't be official now would it). In this take you can't kill them with normal weapons and they usually don't stay down long.

She's gone through 27 day time guards in the past month and is over it.

Part of her shift is checking the exits for any signs of break in, taking exit forms from residents(which is how the day's list is made. Technically the forms can be turned in to the day guard after shift change but most are so new they dont know where to pick them up from), and other random duties that the day guards usually die before completing.

Took this job because it guaranteed she could move her sister out of the rural country and into a very secure boarding school. Her mother lives in apartment in a much safer area nearby to the school.

Saw a doppelganger kill her father and incapacitated said doppelganger while her mom watched frozen. This was not the last doppelganger she's taken out and they're the reason for her scars.

That's actually how she was seen and recruited by the D.D.D. Took the job as soon as she was 18.

Is aware and suspicious of Angus and Afton specifically. Once heard Afton speaking about his project and realized it didn't exactly sound like something a normal physicist would be doing. With Angus it's just because he's inherently suspicious. Really your job is business? No specification there? She of course keeps this all to herself. No reason to cause trouble when you can keep your head down.

I don't often do this kinda post but I REALLY wanna share my OC x canon ship for TOH <3

Morin Forester is a sixteen year old human that wandered into the isles after his parents kicked him out at thirteen. He didn't understand this world, but he couldn't leave, so he wanted to make the best of it. At the time, he didn't have scars and had much more hope for himself. Though Morin tried to get a job and survive with an honest living, no one wanted to hire him and no one came to his aid. He found himself starving, freezing, and alone, making him resort to stealing. At first he got caught a lot, but he quickly becoming an escape artist and master thief, evoking fear in everyone on the isles. He became known as the "Shadow Thief", as he came and went before anyone could get a good look at him under his heavy dark clothes that covered all but his one remaining eye. No one knew what he was. A monster? A skilled witch? Something worse?

Hunter, being the Golden Guard, was tasked with catching Morin, and he was determined to do so. He knew it was going to be a challenge, but he didn't expect the chase to last several years. Anyone who criticised Hunter for taking so long was asked to try and catch Morin themself. Even Belos and every coven leader couldn't, so the task remained in Hunter's hands.

In this universe, Hunter and Belos have a more healthy relationship, though they're often distant from each other and they rarely have a conversation beyond small talk.

As Morin and Hunter become familiar with each other in their rivalry, they begin to bond, taunting each other in an almost friendly way. Soon enough, Morin is even making small talk with Hunter rather than running from him, keeping a decent distance. Hunter notices that Morin is getting more and more scars every time they meet, even losing some fingers and an eye, but the thief never says what happened. They know they're supposed to be enemies, but they have a sort of bond. They've never felt so in touch with anyone. The chase continues, but even when Hunter catches Morin, he lets him go. They have a silent allyship, an allyship no one can know about.

Years after Morin arrives in the Demon Realm, a building collapses near the forest, and in the following month, there isn't any sign of Morin. Everyone is on edge, assuming he's planning something big, or that an even more powerful force snuffed him out putting them all in danger of an even more dangerous being.

Finally, Morin is spotted again, but something's wrong. He's slow and limping, his clothes are ripped are torn, and he's almost immediately cornered. He's quickly surrounded by guards, and though he's outnumbered, he tries to fight them off. Hunter is notified of the situation, and he's filled with both relief and panic. Relief that Morin is alive, and panic that he might not be alive for much longer. He rushes over and orders the guards to back down, saying he'll take Morin in himself, though the thief is beat up and coughing up blood. In a flash, Hunter teleports them both back to the medical wing in the castle, demanding the criminal be taken care of and healed.

Morin is put under, as his panic overcame him and he struggled against the medics, giving them some nasty scratches in the process. Once put under, they do an examination and find out that he's human, a confusing discovery, but not the most concerning one. His leg is practically torn to shreds. They say they can fix it up to some extent, but he'll be permanently disabled and need mobility aids. They do their best to fix up any wounds, which takes several hours, finally getting him to a stable state.

When he wakes up, Morin makes it clear right off the bat that he won't let anyone take care of him but Hunter. He rejects food and drink from anyone else, sceptical that it's poisoned. Of course, he's just being paranoid, but how can he not be? He grew up in an abusive household, then lived alone on the streets with only himself for years. Hunter doesn't mind taking care of him, though. He never feels that it's a burden, and Morin doesn't ask for much, just meals and Hunter's company.

It's soon discovered that Morin has terrible nightmares that cause him to wake up screaming, PTSD, chronic pain from his injuries, and has to use a cane to walk. He gets an offset handle cane which, over time, becomes decorated with rainbow and trans flag tape and gothic stickers. Once he's well enough to leave the medical ward, he stays in Hunter's room, not wanting to deal with the nightmares alone and needing someone nearby to help him if his cane is far away or he falls.

Though not all the details are disclosed to the public, everyone is reassured that the Shadow Thief has been caught and will no longer be a source of fear. No one thinks that Hunter's new "friend" is the thief they'd feared for years. I mean, honestly, how would anyone believe that this tiny, scar-covered human that can't leave Hunter's side is the Shadow Thief?

Hunter helps Morin through his nightmares, flashbacks, chronic pain episodes, migraines, and so on, and Morin does everything he can to make sure they're happy. With time, Morin finds a routine and is able to find joy in life again, still wearing all black but not feeling the need to hide all his scars anymore. He gets a lot of stares and rude comments, which makes him sort of insecure, but Hunter always makes sure to call him beautiful. It isn't a lie, since in Hunter's eyes, Morin is the most beautiful person he's ever seen.

Important side note: Morin does the "puppy eyes" thing a lot, and in Hunter's mind, he looks a lot like this:

his title/alias is "Meretrix", or "Retrix" for short. nicknames also include "Mere", "Meret", "Mer", "Mertrix", or "Trixy". none of these are anywhere near his actual name. his title nor its meaning have anything to do with what he does for a living.

he is an off-planet rust-gold mutant that somehow didn't get found out in all his 16-17ish sweep life. his mutant blood didn't result in a cusp; it, instead, decided to be like water and oil: separating and never really mixing well together. this means that when he gets cut, both colors may spill depending on how much. his eyes also are this weird ombré-ish effect with gold sitting at the bottom and rust floating to the top. he does not have any caste-related powers.

his smile doesnt really reach his eyes, and hes more-so only sympathetic when the situation can benefit him. hes mostly silent, listening and observing those around him so that he can best benefit himself in any situation. he doesnt think highly of others, but also does not see himself as superior. he sees himself as a tool, a vessel for whoever needs him.

thats where the assassin-for-hire thing comes into play.

Meretrix kills people, yes. does he do it for pleasure? mostly no. its mostly so that he can get paid. he does, however, sometimes do extra for more praise. more praise means more money, obviously.

he mostly kills people who he wouldnt even interact with ever if not for his assassin life style; he mourns the lost life, not because he sees them as people, but because killing is more of a chore than a haunting guilt. he does not care for other people in the typical sense.

does he regret going into this life style? sure. he couldve been a servant to a highblood or culled for the audacity of existing. but this job seems easier of his health.

what does he do with all of that money? well, he has needs. looking for a place to live off-planet is hard. plus, the ship he calls home (or calls "hive"?) isn't exactly luxurious.

plus, he's made other assassin-for-hire "friends". theres Calciner, who's a femme-fatale type bronzeblood who knows more than she lets on. theres Elymaker, whos an olive-jadeblood cusp pyromaniac who mostly uses fire and big explosions for her kills. and lastly, theres Pannifex, whos a hemoanonymous assassin that Retrix has never seen the actual face of, nor does he even know their gender.

so, his life is pretty great.
