Would any of the boys be kinda into fear play? Of course, I mean done in a safe way with all boundaries stated and extra aftercare etc. Like them being the scared one, not the reader. If writing who'd be most willing to try is a bit much I'd just like to see Viktor and Christians reactions to reader asking about it, or if they are comfortable enough to try it, if they liked it?

Viktor — It's definitely because there are some crossed wires in his head, but Viktor very much likes feeling like you're about to hurt him. It's hard to make him actually afraid of you, but when his body is responding all on its own, his pounding heart is a wonderful thrill. It feels like he's handing himself over to you in his entirety.

Yasha — Even though it does hit some trauma points, Yasha likes the feeling of being the helpless one. If he's the one who's afraid, that means he won't be hurting you, and that makes him feel much safer. He's not exactly healthy about it, but anything that puts him at your mercy will make sexual interactions a little easier for him to handle.

Ryoushi — He's so stressed anyway, always on edge, that there's kind of no avoiding it. Since he's such a nervous wreck by default, it's sometimes easier to work with the persistent fear than try to get him to calm down. And... it feels kind of wrong, but Ryoushi does like being at your mercy. Tease him about it, he'll like that too.

Hiroyuki — He has absolutely no explanation for it, but a few shocks of fear are really, really hot. Nothing too extreme, but just enough that he's trembling and brought to the edge of tears. Maybe it's because feeling something so intensely is similar to his usual coping method of intoxication. Maybe it's just a sign that he trusts you.

Christian — The idea doesn't really make sense to him at first. Fear and sex don't seem to go together, but Christian is curious and willing to experiment, and if you think it would be fun, then he's fine with giving it a try! He's pretty delicate, and it's not his favorite thing, but there's definitely some appeal if you clearly enjoy it.

A: How did you come up with the title to On My Mind?

Amazing one to ask about, actually, because I'd say that it's one of the most interesting.

At the time, so... early June of 2021? Around that time, I would listen to my music in my car with an aux cord connected to my phone running Spotify. But one day, right before I started OMM, my phone was being absolute ass, so I busted out the CD case and popped in a playlist of vaporwave/future funk I'd burned onto a disc years ago. I was driving home from work and 'On My Mind' by Melonade came on and it hit me like instantly. Like oh shit, that's it! The whole context of reading someone's mind being the crux of the inciting incident and all that; couldn't have been happier about my phone not working.

M: Got any premises on the back burner that you'd care to share?

...there might be a few. Which is to say there's over 60 separate fic ideas rotting in my idea doc like they have been for years. May as well dust it off and share a few of the ones I'm still quite fond of. I like to think I'll write them eventually. o3o;;;

Soulmates AU, Strangers: It’s a world where people get visions from their soulmate’s point of view for a few seconds at a time every day. Karamatsu keeps a diary of the things he sees from his soulmate’s view and is excited to see places he recognizes. He goes to all of the places he knows his soulmate has been in the hopes that they’ll run into each other. He runs into Ichimatsu quite literally. As they fall to the ground, they look at each other and realize they’re looking at themselves. [One-Shot]

Generic Unrelated AU, Roommates: Ichimatsu has been avoiding Karamatsu, unable to face his feelings. One days he’s sitting on the roof and Karamatsu tries to talk about him to figure out why he’s being avoided. Things escalate into an argument where Ichimatsu pushes Karamatsu away, but Karamatsu stumbles back and almost falls off of the roof. Ichimatsu catches him; thinking he won’t be able to lift him back up, he confesses his feelings and apologizes for pushing him away. He manages to get Karamatsu back up onto the roof. Android AU: Androids are built to fight wars for humans. Ichimatsu is a commander android in charge of lesser soldier androids. The soldiers are disposable, practically designed to be destroyed. All of them look and act the same, except one day there’s a soldier who acts a little different, Karamatsu. Ichimatsu isn’t designed to feel concern or empathy, yet there’s a part of him that can’t bear to send Karamatsu out on the front lines. Title: “This Is How You Lose The War”. [Longfic]

Android AU: Karamatsu ordered an android boyfriend and Ichimatsu shows up on his doorstep. Ichimatsu is a defective unit who isn’t nice or affectionate; he’s been returned time and time again. He anticipates being sent back as soon as Karamatsu sees how he is, but Karamatsu falls for him just the way that he is.

Guardian Angel AU: Ichimatsu has been Karamatsu’s guardian angel for his whole life. At some point, he fell in love with Karamatsu. When Karamatsu was in high school, he had a near-death experience where Ichimatsu stepped in and saved him. Ever since then, Karamatsu has been trying to find that person. When Karamatsu has another near-death experience as an adult, Ichimatsu again steps in to save him. Karamatsu recognizes him and is determined to not let him get away again. Ultimately, Ichimatsu gives up his angel status to become human, and has to learn to do human things like eat, drink, sleep, get a job, etc.

[I've thought quite a bit about this one. I just think it's neat.]

Psychic AU, Unrelated: The Matsus all have different types of psychic powers and are put into a death game where the last one standing gets a wish granted. Might be cool if you attain the powers of the psychic you kill. Karamatsu and Ichimatsu team up. I could make the game bigger by adding in side characters but then I’d have to write the side characters. Karamatsu has precognition, Choromatsu has telepathy, Osomatsu has telekinesis, Todomatsu has clairvoyance, Jyushimatsu has pyrokinesis, and Ichimatsu has technokinesis. Potential Title: “Dramaturgy”.

[No actually don't get me started on Dramaturgy I have thought about this one too much and I want it to exist but I've got too many fics on my plate atm. OTL I can't resist a good killing game and I have quite a lot of the plot worked out in my head already.]

Android AU: This is a joke AU, honestly, but hear me out. Ichimatsu is an aspiring inventor and he’s learning how to build androids with personalities. However, all of the ones he’s built keep turning out with the same cringy personality. He calls them all ‘Karamatsu’ or some variation of that name. He’s at his wit’s end, stuck with a bunch of Karamatsus.

Given my general lack of posting OC work here up until recently, I know I’ve never shown off Mal’s human form, so here it be! For general context: Mal is a Spirit and she’s basically ended up as Kaela’s roommate and work partner on her humble lil farm out in the country. Why Mal is even in the human realm is a mystery, but she’s on a mission no one is fully aware of. o3o

Mal is very fascinated with all types of gaming; there isn't such a thing in her own realm so it's an entirely new and exciting experience for her. She in particular really enjoys horror games and survival RPGs, and anything that promotes a challenge. Horror games don't scare her but she remains invested all the same. She does have an ulterior motive for playing them though, and that's partly because Kaela does the jumping and fearing and hiding for her. Quite frankly, Mal thinks it's both endearing and funny. uwu

Fal

That's... good to know, actually. Fal will never admit it (at least, out loud), but it relieves him more than a little bit to know that you haven't done that sort of thing before. It makes the chances of you attempting something with him feel far slimmer, the way he sees it. For the most part, he tries to leave the subject alone entirely. He'll be much happier if sex remains something that he never has to think about in relation to the person who owns him.

He doesn't quite know what to think of that. Obviously, having a lower risk of being used is a good thing, but are you really telling the truth? He's almost suspicious that you're only saying that to catch him off guard— but either way, it's not like he can (or wants to) say anything about it. The safest option is to avoid that topic altogether, and not let worries like that take root in his head. If it is true that you're a virgin, at least it means he's a little safer.

Parume

It doesn't bother him much one way or the other. Your lack of experience is one thing to take into account (and use as necessary), but it doesn't make a difference beyond affecting his risk of getting used later. Parume just doesn't bring it up. He's perfectly content knowing that you're unlikely to want him for sex. Although, on a few rare, shameful occasions, his mind does wander to what it would be like to be your first...

Could you explain the regression AU a little more? I’m not sure I understand it. Is the idea that a parental figure reader comes into their lives, making them regress into a more childlike state?

Okay so. 

The basic premise is that Karlheinz, pre-Yui (and in a highkey alternate timeline), sends another bride to live with the boys. Except he’s having a bit of fun with this one. They’re a therapist. Karlheinz isn’t thinking much about that part because they’re just a human, yeah? 

Unfortunately, within a very short time of being with the boys, Reader starts accidentally poking all of the wrong (right?) trauma buttons, and unintentionally sends the boys spiraling into regression. In this particular scenario, the Sakamaki are there as usual, but Kino has forcibly moved himself in, the Mukami and Sakamaki know each other, and the Tsukinami just kinda show up once in a while. Everyone’s accessible that way lol. 

As for what actually happens with the regression, it’s kiiind of based off a friend of mine, and kind of based off of what I know of the concept. What happens is that, due to the impact of trauma, the boys’ mentality throws itself back to a particular, younger age. In the case of my friend, the age could vary from thirteen to about six (rough estimate), but I’m not sure if I’ll have the boys vary like that or not. For the boys, it’s a projection of their childhood selves coming back to bite them because of the trauma that never got processed. 

Individual experiences will vary, but the overall is that they’re still in the same bodies and there’s no magical influence or anything— their minds just go nope and force them back into the mental state of when they were little.

Tooru would always, somehow, know to come and get him. Just pluck him right up, blankets and all, and go back to sleep with Mahiru in his bed. It made him feel so safe and loved.

The way he views attraction is going to be so far removed from any kind of quantitative human or human-adjacent experience... On a similar note, he uses he/him pronouns bc that's what Kuro uses and it's simpler that way(lol) but frankly he doesn't give a shit. The opinions and designations of humans are meaningless to him outside of how he can use it to get what he wants out of them. He does, however, still recognize being called "it" while he's in his human form an insult. Again, he just doesn't care.

MOST WILLING

Haruki — Considering that he loves to look cute for you (and in general), it’s not hard to talk Haruki into wearing something feminine. He’s crossdressed before, and honestly, it’s not hard to mistake him for a girl. It doesn’t embarrass him a bit to wear one, either. If anything, Haruki is quite proud of his looks that way. 

Shiki — He’s so open-minded that wearing a skirt or dress hardly registers as a problem. Especially if you can give some reason for wanting to see him in it, like an experiment of some kind, you won’t hear many complaints. It’s actually kind of entertaining for him to see himself in such a prettied-up state. 

Sora — Although he’s going to be painfully embarrassed by you seeing him in that kind of thing, Sora is also very, very easy to bend to your will. Just asking him nicely (and patting his head) is all it takes. He’s shocked by the way he looks like that, though... and maybe a little bit aroused by it too. 

Jun — He’s not exactly against it, but it sounds way too embarrassing to have you see him like that. Jun is more likely to wear the skirt or dress on his own and take pictures to send you instead of face-to-face. The biggest problem is that he winds up very, very turned on by seeing himself in the skirt... 

Kosuke — He has enough pride that it’s pretty tough to get him to even try it. Kosuke wants to look manly and mature in front of you, not... that. If you do talk him into it, he’s a blushing mess, staring down at himself with a mix of horror and something that’s almost excitement. He won’t wear it for long. 

Ryuusei — Good luck. It’s possible, but Ryuusei will take a massive amount of convincing and pleading to even try such a thing. What do you even want to get out of this? He’s a grown man and not pretty at all, so it’s a waste of time to put him in something meant for a girl. Doesn’t that much make sense to you?

The Happy Fic Writer Ask Game

1 ) what part of the writing process is the most enjoyable?

oh, shoot, that's a tough one. again, it KIND OF varies with my mood or even what part of the fic i'm in, but i think the most solid answer i can give is that moment where, like...

you're in the midst of writing--usually dialogue for me, but sometimes the prose between--and it's like the characters or story just kind of nudges you aside and takes over to a lil bit. and what i mean by that is: you get some really nice dialogue exchanges by just 'hearing' their voices as you write--you can hear their inflections, where they pause, what words they put weight on, little scoffs or body language an actor might show in the moment--the scene just becomes all at once alive and almost tangible in your head. these are often followed with a frustrating period of "how do i put this gesture i'm seeing into words" or "how to i effectively convey the tone in their voice", but i really enjoy those sorts of puzzle solving (and i hope i do a decent job!).

the method i use for writing action sequences also mirrors this. 9 times out of 10, any action sequence i write is heavily connected to 1 or 2 instrumental tracks from a movie, tv show, or video game, and i have the whole thing choreographed in my head based off the 'story beats' i hear in the music. kind of like making up emotional AMVs to lyrical music in your head, just now it's fast-paced and faces are being punched. as difficult as it can be describing and mapping all of that out--while keeping the urgency, the speed, and the impact felt in the writing--i have a LOT of fun doing it. and when people have let me know that i'm good at writing action sequences, all of that work and puzzling is extremely rewarding. c:>

13) describe your writing style. If you were to participate in an anonymous fic writers guessing game (like The Masked Author), what writing habits do you have that would be a dead giveaway that it’s you?

i've noticed a few in the day(s) that i spend revising my chapters before posting, but idk if they're... 'obvious' enough to be linked back to me, specifically? like... i can overuse the words "just" or "only", i think there might be sentence-structure patterns i have that aren't blatant but i notice them.

one thing is i know i use relatively simple vocabulary. i focus much more on being clear in my storytelling and the characters being felt than i do with fancy word play. which isn't to say fancy word play is bad, it's just not my personal top focus when writing. it's actually something i wish i was better at, because i've read some just. beautiful descriptions of things, or of locations, that can set up the atmosphere of a scene like *chef's kiss* 👌✨ so nicely.

i almost feel like this is something i should ask anyone who's read more than 2 or 3 things of my work. i can't think of anything that's incredibly distinctive to me as a writer, but that could also be because of the phenomena where you read and re-read your own work so much, and in a short amount of time, you run the risk of not being able to see that it's good. it all just kinda bleeds into a blob of emotionless symbols on a screen. >xD;;

--and that's not a cut at myself, just for clarification, it's a thing most--if not all--artistic types experience if they don't take breaks and let their brains refresh themselves. but uh, yeah. idk if i can answer that one! <:0

i have a gosh darn bug in my head about waxplay and im not exactly sure why. yasha specifically (dark blue wax would look lovely on him) but no need to single any one person out, do any of the boys have a particular affinity?

He’ll pitch a royal fit about how you shouldn’t dare do something like that to him... but once he sees dark red wax pooling on his body and feels the seeping heat, Hisa shuts up quickly. Either red, black, or gold are good color choices. They make the whole event feel almost worshipful, and that coupled with being tied down, maybe denied, and degraded during is enough emotional whiplash to drive Hisa wild. 

Kyou

For one, the heat feels good. It’s almost soothing for Kyou to feel the warmth of the wax dripping along his skin... it’s definitely a competition with arousal, anyway. He can very easily get turned on by it (especially if you combine the wax with other sensations), but waxplay could just as easily be a calming, non-sexual kink act to help him relax. Watching it pool and drip just adds to the sensory experience for him.

For best effects, blindfold him. Being made to feel everything while unable to tell what’s happening does a lot to 712. The heat and sheer sensation have him squirming, so being ordered to stay still during makes it quite the challenge. He doesn’t know how it happens, but while the heated wax drips down sensitive areas of his skin... he finds himself getting turned on. Expect an embarrassed, whimpering boy at that point. 

Creed

He has no idea why he likes it, but something about the heat and visuals drives him wild. Maybe it’s because there’s a strong physical sensation to match the mental and sexual ones? Creed doesn’t know. He’s willing to go pretty far with it too (since he kind of lacks a fear response), so higher temperature or using it on more delicate places isn’t off-limits. The little bit of pain actually makes it more intense for him.

33. An unexpected kiss that shocks the one receiving it.

Initiation. Solas was familiar with the concept. The process that one did to enact and perform one's desires, goals, or will was something he was intimately versed in. After all, he would not be where he was in life if he had not initiated plans, ideas, or actions. Initiating was the first step in seeing one's ambitions come to fruition, like a gardener sowing their seeds, hoping that the ground would take its own initiative in response to their own. That's not to say every act bore fruit or proved beneficial, however. He knew that from experience, from folly.

Sometimes action was worse than inaction. Sometimes desiring to do good, do better led one to do worse. However, act he must, and act he would. He was needed, and duty called from beyond and over ages. It could not be ignored. It could not be forsaken. It could not be changed. Not now, not ever.

Although, this one time, Solas wished it could change. Not his duty to the People precisely, he may desire an out in some regards to that, but rather...he wished the hands that guided initiative's reigns would change. It was a selfish whim, but the reason for such a want, he felt, was...innocent. It could only prove fortuitous in the long term. Sadly, specific people were slow on picking up specific cues. Namely, one dragon. How a being granted keen observational skills was ultimately oblivious to the messages he attempted to give would forever be a mystery.

Solas sat before the table in the rotunda, staring down at the various passages of books that littered the expansive surface. However, his mind was not on reading or retaining or discovering. No, that was the farthest thing from his mind. What he was truly doing was thinking, or more precisely, trying to piece together a very complex puzzle of a man. And he wasn't alone. Well, in presence he was not alone. In thought? Alone.

Yune was with him, sitting atop one of the thick tomes before him. Glittering emerald eyes were peering down at him, flecks of gold still unaccounted for due to infancy, but one tone was enough to show curiosity. Usually, such a sight would have Solas unable to hold back a fond smile, quietly happy to see a race near extinction thriving anew. Sadly, right now, those bright eyes only made his mind churn with his thoughts turning into butter.

The thought of Fane was turning his entire being into butter. Solas enjoyed a challenge, willing to ponder and turn the pieces until each fit exactly so. But the riddle he was trying to decipher now had him one hundred percent flummoxed.

And that riddle was: Fane. Or more accurately, Fane's lack of initiative when it came to matters of the heart.

"I do not understand it," Solas said, idly tapping the surface of the table with a few fingers. Yune let out a curious sound, a quiet 'mhh?', at his words, causing him to look upwards with an apologetic smile, "Apologies, ma'da'isenatha. I am afraid your kin has me...confused." It felt odd to say such a thing. He knew practically every, minute and subtle detail of his dragon. But right now, he felt...lost.

Yune's serpentine tail began to swish to a more rapid pace, and his head perked up with a high chirp. Solas instantly recognized it as excitement, and the display had him chuckling despite his confusion. Just the mere mention of Fane spurred the tiny infant to become filled with unbridled joy. He wished he could feel such right now, as usually the same did happen to him, but the desire for understanding was outweighing all other emotion.

Solas leaned back in his chair with a quiet sigh, "Beyond confused, truthfully," he muttered, tilting his head back to stare upwards towards the rookery and absently pondering if the secrets housed up with blackened wings could somehow point him in the right direction. It was a fanciful thought, obviously, but every avenue was worth strolling down, even if it led him to more dead ends.

Unfortunately, no raven would be delivering him any pertinent information regarding this particular investigation. He was truly at a loss, and it did not sit well with him to be this unknowing. Especially when it came to topics regarding Fane. He would never be so arrogant to believe he knew everything about the other, time changing them both, but he liked to think he knew enough to understand the more complex aspects of Fane's personality.

He liked to think he knew them--their relationship. Sadly, he felt he didn't because as time passed, the more it seemed that Fane was...uninterested. The mere idea of that made Solas' heart grow tight. He knew it was a foolish fear, but it lingered at times, like Cole did when his pain eked out during a moment of weakness. He was just...he didn't know. He didn't know.

Solas lifted a hand to his face, pinching the bridge of his nose. All of these circles were beginning to make his head ache. All of these irrational thoughts were driving him to near insanity. Fane undoubtedly cared for him, loved him, and Solas undoubtedly loved him back. He knew how his dragon was wont to be. He knew that displays of affection were neither of their strong suits. He knew Fane was still growing accustomed to wanting and acting upon those wants. So, why was he was bent out of shape about...

...the lack of initiative?

"Chrp!"

Solas startled in his seat at the sudden, excited, and loud chirp that Yune let out, blinking and taking his hand from his nose to steady himself. Like confusion, he wasn't used to being...jumpy, but it was more common these days. Fear permeated the air so thickly most days. He would always have his guard up.

Although, maybe he could lower it a bit due to who was before him now--the object of his deepest adoration and immense confusion.

"Easy, little wing," Fane urged Yune with the gentlest of the thunder his voice possessed. Solas watched with somewhat wide eyes, still reeling from his shock, as a gloved hand reached out to pat a tiny head. The tiny dragonling practically screeched with pure joy at the touch and snowy hair fluttered as Fane shook his head with a fond smirk, "In one ear and other the other, huh?"

Solas continued to stare for several moments before his mind finally decided to rejoin him, shaking his head a bit and letting out a small sigh. He was completely out of sorts, wasn't he? Yet another thing he was unused to...

"You gonna be okay, old man?" Fane asked, a more teasing smirk pulling at one corner of his lips. Emerald and gold were now trained on him entirely, Yune seemingly content with just touch.

Touch... Solas felt his heart squeeze at that echo; a feeling he recognized as yearning. So many oddities, so little time to acclimate himself. He was truly lost, in more ways than one...

Solas let out a small sigh, "I truly wish you would quit calling me that," he said. Why Fane continued to poke at age when he was older would be yet another mystery in an endless sea of them.

Fane snorted a bit, smirking more, "Would you rather I call you a 'pup'?"

He felt his face deadpan, "No."

"Then, old man it is," Fane said with a shrug, but chuckled when Solas only responded with a withering glare, "Relax. I'll stop. I can tell when you're not in the mood."

Solas blinked before shifting his gaze away a bit, "I suppose that is...one way to put it. I have certainly been better," he admitted, knowing full well that if he attempted to dance around the issue that Fane would only call him out on it. Honesty was the one thing he cherished in their relationship, and he would not abandon it now just because he was...troubled.

Fane's smirk dissolved into a frown, "What's wrong?" he asked, voice taking on a slightly urgent edge, even if it was still calm, subdued. He even began to making his way around the table, but Yune let out a tiny chirp in question at the sudden disappearance of Fane's hand, making him stop and offer an small smile, "Sorry, little wing. Shoulders?"

Yune immediately shifted, turning joyous once more and energetically leaping from the tome he was perched on to Fane's broad shoulders. Solas glanced up to witness the spectacle, and couldn't help but smile slightly at the display; Fane lightly bumping his head to his kin's, who in turn then draped themselves across his shoulders to settle down. Such a blatant show of care, of kinship had Solas' heart growing tight once more. There was yearning again, but there was also tender affection like the kind he could see before him.

"Solas?"

Solas blinked, snapped from his love-lorn state to see Fane gazing down at him worriedly. His dragon was next to him now, bent a bit with one hand upon the back of the chair and the other resting on the arm. The proximity had Solas' face growing a bit warm, swallowing thickly and letting out a steadying sigh to compose himself. Why was he suddenly so...flustered? It wasn't like this was anything unusual. Or, well...perhaps it was. Fane rarely invaded his space so...openly, waiting or standing at a distance until Solas made the indication or move. This subtle display of initiative was...

...exactly what he yearned for.

"Ah.." Solas uttered, warding off a wince at his lack of eloquence. Of all times for him to be at a loss for words, now was not precisely the time for it. It was just...Fane was close and seemingly growing more concerned. The latter wasn't something he yearned for, Fane's distress was upsetting, but it was a warming thing to know his dragon cared.

As was his presence. Something inside of him was growing tight, growing impatient, and it took all Solas had not to act upon it. What was going on? He was never this...this needy.

Fane's gaze was unrelenting, "...Are you sick?" he asked suddenly, voice flat, assessing.

Solas blinked, mouth going slightly agape, "I'm...sorry?" His mind was short circuiting, his tongue felt heavy, and he wanted to... Why did everything feel so hot?

"You're flush," Fane pointed out, lifting the hand situated on the arm of the chair to tentatively touch one of Solas' cheeks. The whisper of fingers had Solas shivering like a leaf and his breath hitching, which only spurred usually stoic features to tighten with more concern, "Solas, what's--!"

The touch had done him in, he knew. That was why, despite how Solas knew he should probably explain and assuage a whirling, worried mind, he surged forward and upwards, cupping ivory cheeks and crashing his lips to ones that always seemed to be unattainable. He couldn't hold back. He couldn't control this want any longer...

He heard Fane let out a surprised noise, his whole form going rock solid as Solas kept their lips sealed. He didn't move, didn't force, but rather, waited. If Fane was truly against the act, truly against him, then he would pull away. That was what Solas was expecting, knowing surprises generally didn't sit well with the all knowing dragon before him. He was ready to face the consequences of his actions, of his selfishness. However, a deep chuckle against his lips and strong, warm arms suddenly snaking around to embrace his middle had Solas' eyes blowing wide open. Emerald and gold greeted him with a truly enticing glint of amusement and satisfaction.

"If you wanted a kiss, my sky, all you had to do was ask."

Solas blinked, feeling his whole face flush as Fane took the initiative then, and sealed their lips together once more, offering the last piece of the puzzle that he had desperately searched for.

And that piece looked awfully like a smirking dragon--a silent being that appeared uninterested, but was merely waiting for its chance to strike.

Look! They're both surprised! >:D Consent is a huge theme in Solas and Fane's relationship, but they do get to a point, later on, where certain things don't require it. I see this happening about mid-relationship, when both Solas and Fane are still learning what's open to them now that they're a couple. Suffice it say, Fane is a massive tease, and where Solas thinks he's uninterested, he's actually highly interested. There are advantages to being a stoic dragon. No one, not even your lover, can see you coming~ >:3

...OK FINE TIME TO MAKE AJA AND KREL LET’S GOOOOO

So their human forms turned out to be pretty straightforward. I think they came out pretty decent nearly right off the bat! :)

Their Akiridion forms, on the other hand...those were tricky, as they involved a lot of custom content. And when I say custom content I mean literally MADE BY ME. ^^” I hand-altered pretty much every part of their Akiridion forms in some way or other.

Their hair is still a default EA mesh, but I wasn’t satisfied with the default color swatches so I had to go in and custom-recolor them.

I do have some CC I downloaded a while ago for Akiridion eyes, but for some reason custom eye colors don’t show up as selectable swatches in my game despite being in my mods folder, so I had to make some of my own...in the “face paint” category rather than the “eye color” category. But hey it worked! So fyi for anyone interested, you CAN override eye colors with face paint; I’d recommend that route if you wanna make some custom eyes o3o 

(theoretically you could also use this technique to have your Sim change eye color with each outfit, if you want!)

The clothes were the trickiest part. EA does have a glowing “alien suit” that’s pretty cool, but it only comes with green glow. At first I tried to just use that suit with a custom swatch for blue glow, which did actually work (looked a little rougher than the official swatch but was still functional, glow and all):

...but I still wasn’t quite satisfied with the overall aesthetic. It would be ok for an oc but didn’t really look enough like Aja and Krel to me. But what else could I do? I’m not good enough at modeling in Blender to create my own custom mesh for the outfits, and I couldn’t think of any EA full-body outfits that had the right shape I could recolor....

...UNLESS....

...what if I just painted it directly onto their skin as a “tattoo” like I do for custom fur patterns on the furry mod?!

This was a good start, but of course under normal circumstances Sims aren’t allowed to be “naked”; even if you remove all the clothes you can in CAS it’ll still give them non-removable underwear in its place. In order for the tattoo idea to work properly, I had to find a way around that as the game wouldn’t recognize the “tattoo” as clothes and try to make me put a different outfit on top of it.

So what I did was grab some skintight swimsuits and just...deleted the diffuse texture (as well as specular/shadow/etc maps), effectively rendering the swimsuit invisible in-game. So as far as the code is concerned, they are technically clothed...it’s just invisible so you can see under it without triggering the default underwear...and IT WORKED!!

They’re not perfect, you can definitely see where I didn’t quite line up the UVs right, but I think it’s a pretty darn good start! 

At the moment they’re using the exact same texture, based on Aja; I know Krel’s outfit design in the show is slightly different than his sister’s BUT I wasn’t sure if the technique would work and didn’t want to waste time making two separate nonfunctional textures, so I just used Aja’s as the test. Now that I know it works, though, I’ll go back and make a proper one for Krel later. For now they’ll just have to match haha.

Aja is also sporting @zaneida-and-sims4​’s Angor Rot style legs, cuz I thought it was a bit closer to the show, even if it caused some more issues with the texture lining up. I tried to give them to Krel as well, but for some reason it wouldn’t show up as an option for him. Sorry Krel, you’ll have to stick with regular human legs. ^^; If it makes you feel better, they don’t work on Blinky either (I would be tempted to wonder if maybe they only work on females were it not for the fact that they DID work on NotEnrique...oh well).

I did also experiment with a mod that allowed for extra arms, HOWEVER the arms were basically just an accessory and didn’t actually have any animation on them. While they would cool in screenshots, in-game it just looked really distractingly stiff and awkward, so I ultimately opted for just two arms. 

Varvatos Vex is not currently in the game; I MIGHT add him in later but if I do he’ll be a dog like Aarrrggh. We’ll see though.

So that’s that! I probably won’t play much from the perspective of this house directly, but I look forward to finding them out and about in the world... 👀

He's not expecting you to be gentle in the slightest. Who would be? He's not worth the effort of gentle, careful, by-hand maintenance, no matter how badly he wants it. But then, you're handling his gun like it's something precious, and 89 is all but choking on the rush of bliss that follows. There's no part of him that's used to tenderness, and to have that part of him handled in such a way by his Master... he's having a moment of massive internal conflict. Is he allowed to just enjoy this?

F

Even for a self-proclaimed masochist, his gun being treated harshly is something F would have a hard time pretending to enjoy. There's something just too awful about the nauseating sensation of his very soul being mishandled. He's very, very nervous about you having a chance to hurt even that part of him, so when you're gentle, F can hardly hold back the little gasps that keep threatening to escape. More and more, with every passing second, it feels like he's melting under the warmth of your touch.

Herme

Considering his issues with "not being a person", Herme is a tricky case. He fully intends for you to treat him like a tool, and outwardly has no problems with you handling even his very soul like nothing but the weapon it is. And yet, he soon has to deal with the realization that his Master's touch feels nothing like his own. The internal conflict that follows has his head spinning and the worst kinds of thoughts cutting in. He's not human, so there's no reason why he should be able to experience pleasure like this.

Mikhael

Honestly, he's just resigned to the fact that this is going to be unpleasant. Having such a vulnerable part of his being handled can't be anything more than uncomfortable... can it? Mikhael quickly has a realization to the contrary. You're careful, and the feeling of Master's hands lovingly maintaining that piece of himself has every bit of pain receding under a wave of warmth that follows your touch. Nothing, nothing in longer than he can remember has felt like this. Can it last even a little longer?

Fal

Ever compliant, Fal allows you to handle his gun with only subtle attempts to talk you out of it. He hates the idea of making himself vulnerable, but outright refusing you would surely just get him in trouble. While he's painfully tense at first, as soon as your methodical, gentle touches register, a shiver runs up his spine that's almost painful in its intensity. It's not supposed to feel like this, is it? It never had before. He's somewhere between confused and silently pleading that your care won't change to worse.

I don’t really get to...spend time with my friends, in that sense. For very obvious reasons. But I talk to Angela and Reena the most. Andi and I talk a lot too, but not everyday. 

Among my friends, I probably talk to my college group the least these days, but that’s mostly because 2/3 of them are pursuing law school, and the 1/3 have jobs and are as busy as I am. We’re still as tight as ever and our group chat becomes active at least once a week.

o5. If you had snow-days as a kid, how did you spend them? Do you like the snow, in general? We don’t have snow, but our equivalent would be days off school because of a typhoon. Anyway, I just spent them lounging around and mostly watching stuff on YouTube. In college I was a bit more diligent and would use the extra time to catch up on readings.

o6. Do you know anyone who does hard drugs? Would you ever befriend someone that did? Not that I am aware of. I probably wouldn’t befriend someone who did if we weren’t already close, because there’s no telling what kind of influence they would be on me.

o7. When was the last time that you were afraid for your life? Did this incident change you in any way? When I was really sick back in May. Not really, I just wanted to recover as quickly as possible.

I’ve realized I have very few souvenirs from the last few years because I barely took photos then, so it sucks not being able to revisit memories and ending up forgetting others completely. I definitely don’t plan to take it so far as taking photography lessons; taking pictures from my own perspective and in my own style suffices.

o9. Have you ever had low self-esteem? How is your self-esteem now? Yeah, sure. I had a recent phase of it because of the breakup, but I’ve recovered from it. My self-esteem is a lot healthier and more stable these days.

I didn’t experience that with my past partner, and was often told to just stop being sensitive.
