Wolf's Bane is definitely on a long hiatus until I figure out what I want to do with it.
However-
KuroMahiSaku with a addition of Sloth adopting feral gremlin dog man (Tsurugi) story. Would anyone be interested in that? I could even write chapters based on asks for them?

Kuromahisaku is like
Mahiru hears Kuro and Sakuya bickering. They're cuddled up on the sofa, bodies intertwined, with Kuro's handheld paused on a dating sim. They are bickering over who is the best love interest.
Kuro likes the bossy one with a soft heart. Sakuya prefers the doting older sibling-like one.
Mahiru doesn't get it at all.
None of them realise that the dating sim love interests represent aspects of Mahiru.

Rambling KuroMahiSaku headcanons
Hardly any of this is connected and it is super random but please enjoy
Anyway thought I had while riding my bike because it’s GD HOT is, post canon, Sakuya and Kuro tag teaming Mahiru to convince him to take advantage of the fact the hotel Sakuya lives in has free A/C
But also, even when it’s too fucking hot to be touching another human in any way whatsoever, Sakuya puts up with it so kitty Kuro can sleep cuddled between him and Mahiru.
And since Sakuya is a gremlin, when it's winter and he and Kuro are both ice cold, he'll stick his freezing feet up against Mahiru's legs ww. Kitty Kuro is in High Demand, as are blankets and snuggles. Happy Trio.
Also please imagine if Kuro’s first time eating okonomiyaki is because Sakuya wanted to get some for dinner and he ends up showing Kuro how to do it.
Sakuya and Kuro are both homebodies and Mahiru prefers to keep things simple so birthdays are always just like. A party at home and then a movie date in on the couch. The birthday boy gets to sit in the middle, choose the snacks, and the movie. Sakuya secretly kind of wants to have a sleepover party. Mahiru is delighted because, uh, yeah. He never got that as a kid and he would love it now, but never had the guts to ask. Kuro is... Resigned lmao.
Mahiru REALLY loves to cook for his boyfriends, but when things get stressful, Sakuya and Kuro are happy to step up. Even if Kuro looks like he's dragging his feet, he's more nervous about screwing up the food and that's what makes him seem slow to rise to the task. Having a second person in the kitchen actually helps him not feel as anxious.
Strangely, Kuro and Sakuya's comfort levels in terms of where they rest as a family unit line up pretty well, with Kuro preferring to be guided and Sakuya more used to taking charge as a Melancholy Elite. Mahiru fluctuates between wanting to be the de facto caretaker and wanting to be spoiled.
Mahiru gives Sakuya permission to stalk him lol. It's enrichment! It's also a security measure. Post war, Mahiru is a high priority target as the Eve of Sloth and seeming "source" of vampires organizing themselves concretely. As such, Sakuya's surveillance is actually pretty useful for heading off threats and making sure Mahiru's peaceful life can continue more or less undisturbed.
After getting past the hissy hissy stage, Kuro finds that Sakuya can be kind of demanding when it comes to affection, but it's still... Subtle? He has to let green bean come to him first. He's too skittish to tolerate Kuro suddenly getting physically affectionate with him outside of kitty form. Kuro doesn't mind because he's had it up to here with clingy types (Lawless. Tsubaki. Licht, on occasion) He appreciates that Sakuya's method of coexistence is the same as his: chilling in the same room and sending each other memes

Some fluff for Christmas
Merry Christmas @bluemoonfantasiesiii!!
Here’s my take for SL 2019 Secret Santa: some soft KuroMahiSaku for you! I hope you enjoy this Christmas as much as your boys do ~
“You could dodge that, loser.”
“Apparently I couldn’t!”
“Loser.”
Sakuya represses the urge to throw the joystick at Kuro’s face. The boy does not even seem angry, sitting perfectly still on the carpet, his eyes stuck on the TV screen.
“I’ll get done with that stage in a minute. Watch and learn.”
Sakuya mimics the self-proclaimed e-sport champion. Why does he even ask Sakuya to play with him? It is not as if he needed his help… Well, guess at least it means he is part of the furniture now. Sakuya sighs. He can hear the vacuum cleaner from the other room. He would go and help Mahiru, but the brunette has forbidden his mates to cross the kitchen’s threshold. It is his kingdom, after all.
Sakuya squints back at the screen. Kuro has effortlessly completed the stage, and the list of his achievements appears. He stretches out.
“Mahiru! Can I eat chips?”
A muffled scream comes from the kitchen. Sakuya muses:
“Translation: you will wait for dinner in due time like everybody, you lazybones.”
“But I need to refill my energy…”
Kuro lets himself fall on the carpet, mumbling about how hard that floor is. Sakuya does not dare saying that he could play on the couch, like any normal human being – first, they do not belong to this category; second, he knows the answer.
“I can’t bring out all my skills by just sitting normally!”
Hence both of them playing right in front of the TV, on the floor. Most of the time, Mahiru keeps an eye on them from the couch, encouraging their progress and giving Sakuya knowing looks each time Kuro auto-congratulates for his own successes. As for today, Christmas 24th, Shirota has been too busy completing his angel in the house duty. Since the first lights of dawn, the boy has been up, rummaging in every room of the tiny flat. The others started to be really concerned when he locked himself up in his bedroom. From the living room, they could hear thuds and scrapings. But Mahiru would always answered that he was perfectly okay. As usual.
“You are not focused, Watanuki”, Kuro snaps.
His avatar comes just in time to rescue Sakuya’s, about to fall from a cliff for the nth time.
“Do you even know how to hold a joystick?”
Sakuya rolls his eyes as the blue-haired boy crawls behind him. Kuro places his hands over Sakuya’s, and guides his fingers. The avatar performs a perfect backflip.
“Was that necessary?” Sakuya mutters.
“Absolutely not. But it was super awesome.”
Despite his choice of words, Kuro’s voice sounds as bored as usual. He puts his head on Sakuya’s shoulder and whispers:
“I’ll train the shit out of you. We’re going to become video games super stars. After all, we got a huge refund incoming…”
“Shh!!”
Sakuya knocks Kuro’s head with the joystick. How could one be such a goofball! The boy lets out a forced moan. He brings all of his weight on Sakuya’s shoulders, proceeding to make his fall on the carpet. Maintaining the green-haired boy on the floor with his arm under his neck, Kuro whines:
“Mahiru! I’m being tortured!”
“Who’s persecuting who?!”
“Help me…”
The vacuum cleaner stops. They hear a few steps coming their way. Sakuya struggles his best, but Kuro is surprisingly strong. He has not moved an inch when Mahiru’s face appears above theirs.
“Can’t you stop being dorks for a few seconds?”
Dishevelled and upside-town, the boys glance at each other, kids caught in the act. Mahiru stares at them, his arms crossed, trying hard to look like a strict father figure. As they sit back quietly, the TV produces the jingle of a “game over”. Kuro lets out a deep sigh and grabs one of Mahiru’s legs:
“I’m desperately hungry.”
“You’ve done nothing all day long!”
“And you’ve been doing way too much,” Sakuya steps in. “And refused our help. Meanwhile, night is falling, and all we’ve done is sitting on this carpet, doing close to nothing, as you said…”
“Green bean is right. Not that I’m against lying on the carpet, though.”
Sakuya elbowed the blue-haired boy. Kuro goes down as if he had been severely hurt by the attack. He goes on:
“Mahiru… It’s only Christmas Eve, and with just the three of us. What about watching a movie on the couch until we fall asleep?”
“We already do that every day,'' Sakuya sighs.
Kuro fails to see the issue of this perfectly sane routine. Before they start to bicker again, Mahiru takes a deep breath. Then, he crouches to be at the boys’ level, and puts his hands on their shoulders:
“I’m almost done...”
“Promise?”
“Promise. Actually, I even need you to do something.”
Kuro and Sakuya exchange a look. They nod – as long as it doesn’t imply running errands in a crowded supermarket as they did this morning. Mahiru smiles softly.
“You go get ready in the bathroom.”
The boys glare at him:
“That’s not actual help, you know.”
“But this room is the only one left! Once you come back, I swear everything will be ready and I’m all yours for the evening!”
Jointly, Kuro and Sakuya leap on Mahiru. The brunette lets out a scream as he ends up stuck on the floor under his mates. Sakuya pokes his forehead:
“What do we win by letting you go?”
“We do not look like it, but we can be very demanding,” Kuro adds.
Mahiru cannot help but chuckle. Which is difficult with such a heavy weighs on his body.
“I’ll be… the nicest… Christmas present…”
As he seems ready to suffocate, they decide to free him. Reluctantly, they even oblige to his request. Left on the carpet to catch his breath, Mahiru shouts:
“Oh, and don’t go in the bedroom!”
Sakuya stops to voice what has been on his mind for a few hours now:
“Oh yeah, about that… Have you like, destroyed it earlier?”
“Talk about a zealous housewife,” Kuro says from the bathroom.
“Just don’t get in!” Mahiru articulates.
Shrugging his shoulders, Sakuya turns around to help Mahiru getting up:
“What, have you hidden our presents in it?”
“I might,” Mahiru secretively smiles.
Sakuya raises an eyebrow. Why so secretive? He strokes the brunette’s hair, attempting to put it back into order. Despite having worked all day, Mahiru’s face still glows. The green-haired boy pouts:
“You already are a perfect present in our lives every day, you know.”
Mahiru slightly blushes. His smile broadens. Sakuya feels his cheeks heating as well. Sakuya! Focus! You’ve got a mission! He claps his hands and shouts:
“Kuro, wait for me, you have no idea how to dress up!”
“I am a free and independent man!”
“Yeah, my ass, you lazybones…”
Sakuya disappears in the corridor. Mahiru laughs – they may be dorks, but they are cute ones. He rolls up his sleeves. Chores are not going to do themselves!
Table has been laid. Candles lit. A small tree adorned with way too many decorations for his height. Sakuya has just put the star at the stop of it when Mahiru joins the living room, finally ready to celebrate Christmas as well. Kuro is busy playing with the multi-coloured light bulbs of one of the wreaths. Upon this sight, Mahiru burst into laughter:
“You’re really cute!!” he manages to say.
Sakuya looks down to Kuro. He opens his hand to the skies – maybe chores have finally driven their friend crazy.
“We should take a pic,” Mahiru offers, taking out his phone. “Also, we have to call Licht, it’s his birthday!”
“I have no wish to hear my little brother’s voice on this holy eve,” Kuro sighs.
“Kuro! Don’t be an ass! Come on, raise up, you’re not on the pic.”
The selfie taken and posted on Instagram, the trio sits down to dinner.
As expected of him, Mahiru has thought of everything. And most likely become the grocer’s number one client. An assortment of grilled food is followed by fried rice, with seasoned vegetables. Kuro and Sakuya fight over the remaining ginger, only to decide to let it to Mahiru in the end. They find comfort in the mandarin desserts Mahiru baked on his own. Drowned under the compliments of his mates, the brunette cleverly changes subject by offering to exchange presents. Kuro and Sakuya agree – as one, they go to the room, closely followed by Mahiru. Before opening the door, Kuro hesitates:
“Wait. We can come in, now?”
“Yeah, sure,” Mahiru answers with a polite smile.
Not very convinced, the boys open the door together. They stay on the threshold, bewildered.
Inside the small room, right where Mahiru’s bed used to be, lies a king-sized bed, so ridiculously enormous that it seems the walls are pushing themselves to make some space. The boys’ eyes go from the mattress to their host. Mahiru opens his arms, a pinched smile on his face, as he is obviously repressing laughter.
“Merry Christmas from uncle Tohru to the three of us!”
Upon hearing the man’s name, the faces of the other two become even more amazed – and red. Mahiru cannot hold back any longer. He burst out laughing – now those faces would be worth the pic!
Sakuya scrapes his neck, slowly getting a grip on himself. He opens the mouth to say something, but Kuro snaps out of it first:
“This… Is another level of dad joke.”
“It sure is! But well, you know my uncle, that’s just how he is. Also, you can’t sleep on the floor or the couch for the rest of your lives.”
There is nothing to be said against that. However, Sakuya comes across another realisation:
“So this was all the hustle and bustle earlier!”
Kuro freezes:
“Stupid Mahiru, did you just build a bed this size on your own?”
The boy chuckles, kind of proud. Luckily, the boys had accepted to go shopping when he received the parcel. And no, they were not to worry, the delivery man helped him hiding the bed base and the mattress in the huge closet. Though it was true he had all the troubles taking them out of it, hence the noises… Apart from that, the instructions were rather easy to follow! Most of all, he was astonished about how his uncle had the dimensions of the room correct. One inch more, and the whole thing would never have fit in…
“But well, not that you care about that stuff! For the serious presents now!” declares Mahiru suddenly.
Still in shock, each of them go and fetch theirs, before sitting on the new bed, very gently, as if it were that fragile. Sakuya looks carefully at the others – after all, he never had a proper Christmas, it was just his sisters and him exchanging home-made gifts… He has no idea how to proceed. Moreover, he is sure Kuro’s not the best example either. How many years has it been since the ancestor has had a Christmas party? Decades? Or centuries?
Ignoring the embarrassment of his mates, Mahiru holds to them one present each. They are neatly wrapped in red paper, adorned with little Christmas trees. Sakuya squints. Kuro’s is bigger. The blue-haired boy seems to notice Sakuya’s looks. He sighs:
“We open them together… 3…”
“2…”
“1…”
Kuro holds out a small white pillow. On one side “Sleepy” is written in gold letters. He blinks at Mahiru.
“Still better than the carpet, right?”
Voiceless, Kuro slowly nods. He turns to Sakuya. The boy seems as stunned as he is: he has found two soft wristbands, one firefly green and the other fuchsia. He puts them on with extreme carefulness. Mahiru puts his hand on his shoulder. Sakuya cannot but notice he is wearing the very wristband he has offered him, it seems so long ago…
“It matches with your headphones,” Mahiru smiles.
Then he turns back to Kuro:
“Well, that’s all for me! It’s not muc-“
“Oh come on, you know you are already everything to us,” Kuro mumbles.
Mahiru is taken aback. Sakuya as well, kind of – hasn’t he said something very similar just earlier this afternoon? Before he could add anything, Kuro holds out to him a parcel, wrapped in a funny way, as if he had asked a random kid on the street to do it for him. Sakuya accepts the present without any comment, though. The wrapping paper was disproportionate in comparison to what is inside: a video game tape, probably from the previous century. Sakuya is not even sure he has ever heard of the console.
“Not the kind of game you can finish on your own,” Kuro explains. “Even for a pro like me.”
Sakuya shakes in head in surprise. He actually… Wants to play with him? He does really enjoy it?
“Well don’t look at me like that! Never heard of retro gaming?”
The blue-haired boy looks away. However he is not quick enough to hide the blush of his cheeks. Without letting him any rest, Sakuya gives his present.
“It’s soft…” Kuro remarks, making the other chuckles. “You do really think I’m a big baby, don’t you?”
They laugh even more as he opens the wrapping paper. It is a black cat kigurumi! Mahiru can barely catch his breath upon this discovery. Too bad for him, the phone rings precisely at this moment. Trying to calm down, he tells the boys to test their new bed, and hurries to pick up.
“Hi dearest nephew! Just calling to say that the three of you are the coolest and cutest!! Also, merry Christmas!”
A lot of noise is surrounding Tohru. Mahiru does not want to know where his uncle has decided to spend Christmas – after all, he was kind enough to let him having the flat. However…
“You’ve checked on Instagram, haven’t you?”
Tohru has a small laughter. Mahiru sighs:
“You know you could simply have left a comment, like basically anybody does?”
“I know, I know,” Tohru chuckles. But you see, you three remind me of the good old days! I wanted to wish you all the best in person!”
“You’re the one who refused to spend the night with us, uncle…”
“I sure did! Y’know, I wasn’t going to step in your intimacy!”
Mahiru sighs. He cannot help but being amused by his uncle’s behaviour. Tohru has always tried his best to be here for him – backing off must be pretty difficult. Apart from the fact that Tohru is not exactly the subtle type.
“The boys loved your present.”
“Oh, did they? I’m glad then! You definitely couldn’t let them on the floor, right? It fits in your room?”
“Just fine. Though we don’t really have space for any other furniture now, but well. As long as Kuro’s got his console and Sakuya his music, we’re fine.”
“Great, great! Well then, I guess I’ll leave you to whatever juicy meal you’ve concocted…”
Mahiru nods. For a moment, he tries to focus on Tohru’s surroundings again. Music, but not directly near him. No one is speaking. Could it be –
“Merry Christmas, uncle.”
“Same to you, son! Salute the boys for me!”
“I will…”
He hesitates. Lowers his voice.
“Tell Touma I wish him a merry Christmas as well. Wherever he is…”
Tohru makes a pause. Mahiru hears what sounds like a mused sigh. But it is with a composed tone that his uncle answers:
“I will. Have fun, Mahiru.”
He hangs up.
With a concerned look on his face, Mahiru opens the door of the bedroom. His distress vanishes as soon as he enters. Kuro, wearing his kigurumi and holding his pillow against his chest, rolls over himself on the whole width of the bed. Doing so, he disturbs Sakuya, who is spreading his limbs all over the mattress. He looks just like a starfish, being rolled over by some kind of dangerous but limited creature. The giggles are back for Mahiru.
He crashes on the mattress, falling on Sakuya. Kuro, unshakable, goes on rolling. Mahiru grasps his ankle, pulling him next to him. Conscientious, the cat rolls just over his master. Upon the protestations from the boys, he meows. Sakuya moans, but there is not anything he can do really – so he just ends up laughing as well. Kuro quickly joins the hilarity.
The fit of laughter behind them, the boys help Mahiru sitting up. Kuro hides the brunette’s face with his pillow, while Sakuya swiftly holds out a small envelope from his shirt’s pocket. After the brunette has struggled a bit, Sakuya decides the suspense has lasted enough. He winks at Kuro, who obliges to set Mahiru free. Bewildered, the boy discovers the envelope. He gazes at his mates. What could these two have worked out?
“Open it”, Kuro whispers.
“Oh thank you, he’s not that stupid”, Sakuya sighs.
They stare each other out, but their soft bickering is interrupted by Mahiru’s startle.
“G – Guys! What the…”
Kuro pats the boy’s shoulder.
“I guess that’s holidays for you, dear.”
“Holi – Oh my…”
He fails to find words. For all he can remember, he has never gone on holidays… His mother could not afford it, and Tohru is always so busy…
“Told you”, Sakuya grins at Kuro.
“B-But with what money…?”
Kuro cuts him:
“No, no, no, we’re not having this discussion right now.”
Mahiru raises up his glistening eyes to meet Sakuya’s gaze. The boy raises his shoulders. A week of holidays for the three of them… Doesn’t seem that bad, does it? And deeply deserved. The brunette vaguely nods, breathing heavily. Kuro jokes:
“Do not worry, we’ll become e-sport champion and take you with us on tour.”
“You, and the bed. We can’t let it here.”
“He’s right. We absolutely can’t.”
Mahiru still manages to laugh. He lets himself fall onto the bed, followed by his partners. To be in such good company for Christmas… Yes, that is definitely something to be proud of.
The bells ring midnight. Outside in the starry night, fireworks are launched. They can hear the neighbours raising up from their chairs and cheering at Christmas. But here, holding hands in silence, the three of them are just at peace. And they are more than proud of it. Slowly, the agitation settles down. Dinners have to be over, guests are taking their leaves, fireworks have stopped lighting the festive city. And a soft voice whispers:
“Merry Christmas, guys.”
“Merry Christmas, Mahiru.”

Morning Routine (Servamp; Genderswap; KuroMahiSaku)
“Mahiru...” Kuro started, “could you tell Grunge Queen to even out her pigtails before I do it myself?” She summoned her claws on one hand for emphasis.
“Tell her yourself,” said Mahiru as she was occupied with packing her school bag. “And while you’re at it, brush your own hair.”
Kuro’s claws disappeared into blue mist as she gripped at her long, light blue ponytail and feigned a look of offense at her brown-eyed girlfriend. It had been a point of contention between the two of them since they formed their contract. Mahiru would frequently call it a frizzy mess. Kuro preferred to think if it as “fluffy.”
“That’s easy for you to say,” said the Servamp. “You’re practically bald compared to me.” It was true. Of the three of them, Mahiru by far had the shortest hair - a fact that, when coupled with her athletic physique, often got her mistaken for a boy when she opted not to wear a skirt.
Mahiru was soon finished packing her books, double checking to make sure she didn’t forget her homework. There was just one more thing. She held open the bag and looked toward Kuro. “You know the drill. In the bag.”
“Yeah, yeah,” the blue-haired vampire replied tiredly before poofing into a black kitten. “Nya~” she whined in a high-pitched voice, “I’m centuries old, why do I have to go to school with you? I’d rather just stay home and play video games...”
“Because my body will shut down if you don’t,” Mahiru replied simply, lifting Kuro up and giving her a peck on the nose. If she weren’t a kitten at the moment, she swears Kuro would have been blushing as she averted her eyes.
“What a pain...” she mumbled before Mahiru gently placed her in her book bag.
“Sakuya!” Mahiru called toward the bedroom, “Hurry up, we’re gonna be late!” Sakuya had been living with the Sloth Pair since a few weeks after Tsubaki set her subclass free. It had taken a while for her and Kuro to warm up to each other as friends, let alone grow close enough for Mahiru to feel comfortable asking them both to consider a poly relationship with her, but the two vampires had quickly found common ground and got along much better and much sooner than Mahiru ever expected.
“I know, I know, just give me a second!” Sakuya called back. A few seconds later, she was rushing out of the bedroom, her green hair done up, as usual, in messy pigtails, the left one visibly longer than the right. She had wasted another half an hour trying, in vain, to contain the gravity-defying curl sticking out of her scalp. Her socked feet slid on the wooden floor, nearly sending her crashing into the wall. “I’m ready, let’s go!” she rushed out before grabbing Mahiru’s hand and speeding toward the door.
Mahiru dug her heels into the floor, bringing them both to a halt and reminding Sakuya once again just how strong her human girlfriend was. When Sakuya turned her head to look at her, Mahiru had a mischievous smile on her face.
“Aren’t you forgetting something, Sakuya?” she asked, her tone playful.
Sakuya merely tilted her head in confusion. Had she forgotten to pack something? Oh crap! Did she forget to put on a bra again?!
Mahiru chuckled at the cute gesture. “Where’s my good morning kiss~?”
“Oh. Right. Sorry, Sunshine.” Sakuya gave Mahiru a quick peck on the lips. Her morning routine complete at last, Mahiru put her shoes on and rushed to school with her hand in Sakuya’s.

I ended up getting encouraged to talk about my aus so thank you all for enabling my self-indulgence
Swan Prince AU
This one’s the first one? And it’s more of a royalty AU, actually. Licht vacations in the Servamp kingdom every summer but one day he gets cursed by an evil magician (Touma) to turn into a swan. Hyde, who’s the same age as him and therefore his designated playmate when they were kids, recognizes it’s him and freaks out because if the Jekylland kingdom finds out they let this happen then there could be a war and no one wants that thank you very much.
I’m actually more interested in worldbuilding than the plot so :/ For reasons I have not thought up, there’s the ‘older bunch’ of Servamps (Kuro to Freya) and the ‘younger bunch’ (Hyde to Lily) and there’s like a ten-year age gap between the olders and the youngers, and then there’s Tsubaki, who’s twelve and illegitimate. Kuro inherited the throne at 17 when their dad disappeared and by the time Tsubaki’s mother showed up a couple years after with a baby that had the last king’s eyes, the kingdom had stagnated. However, a baker named Mahiru starts showing up at the castle to petition the king, and he appears so frequently and his words are so sensible (”He’s got to have studied statecraft,” Hugh declared. “There’s no way he hasn’t.”) that Kuro’s siblings up and offer him a job as the king’s advisor. After many arguments and finally a heart-to-heart where Mahiru learns that the last king once allowed Kuro to make a decision that almost led the whole country to war, they start to work towards understanding each other and cooperating and it’s tough, but by the time the present story rolls around the kingdom is flourishing.
The older bunch all hold a place in court; Hugh is a minister of internal affairs, and he, Kuro, and Mahiru are at the heart of the kingdom’s laws; Jeje is the most knowledgeable about magic, especially curses, and works as both a consultant and investigator, though he’s sent to the Alicein kingdom along with Lily (16 at the time of the story, two years younger than Hyde) to serve as ambassadors and tutors to the king’s sons; and Freya’s the head of the army and the most terrifying person in the kingdom. The people love her. There’s a more even distribution of power than there was before Kuro inherited the throne - Mahiru’s influence and Kuro’s reluctance to be in charge of literally everything see to that - and provincial courts have juries put in place so that people are no longer solely at the mercy of sometimes corrupt judges.
On a different note, Hyde starts out as a sweet kid, but when his friend-and-maybe-crush Princess Ophelia two kingdoms over dies when he’s sixteen he goes wild in his grief and takes up with a group of bandits and starts hurting people. When confronted by his siblings, he declares that if the world is so cruel as to take Ophelia’s life, then his actions are just a drop in the bucket. Now, this is very much wrong and a problem, so Kuro manages to seal him temporarily into hedgehog form for a month (EDIT: yes he can normally transform into a hedgehog, no Licht doesn’t know at first, yes animal transformation is a common ability in their kingdom, and no the sealing is not a common or easy practice. It’s legitimate grounds for Kuro to self-prescribe absolute bed rest in order to recover from the drain on his energy, and he’s stronger than normal mages and had assistance to boot; a month is the very limit he can achieve with that) saying that if he’s lost his grasp on his humanity, then perhaps he’ll find it again in an inhuman form, and then they drop him off at the summer villa reserved for Prince Licht with Guildenstern as a caretaker. Now, unbeknownst to everyone, Licht arrived for vacation even though it’s midwinter, and he is absolutely taken with the hedgehog that’s wandering through the villa (”Oh Shit,” Guildenstern said. Hyde agreed. This was very much an Oh Shit situation.). It turns out that while he hadn’t known Princess Ophelia personally, he’d had mad respect for her for stepping up to enact a change in her kingdom’s politics even though it had ended in her assassination. He and Hyde end up having furious arguments over ideology (Licht still doesn’t know that Hyde’s there, and he doesn’t connect the voice with the hedgehog) and in the end, he helps Hyde regain his humanity - to be human is to desire, to desire is to dream, and to dream is to push your imagination past its very limits and work for it. That ends up breaking the seal prematurely, much to everyone but Licht’s relief. Licht’s pissed that the hedgehog turned out to be Hyde. And when Licht is cursed to be a swan, well, Hyde’s worried about it affecting relations with the Jekylland kingdom, yeah, but he also wants to do for Licht what Licht did for him: make him human again.
ANYWAY HERE’S THE DOODLES
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Teacher AU
Because now they’re teachers.
This one has basically nothing in it yet aside from it being fun to consider what subjects they’d teach (Mahiru’s home ec; Kuro’s phys ed; Hugh’s history; Jeje’s art; Freya’s a counselor; Hyde’s literature; World End’s either a history or foreign language teacher; Lily’s a student teacher; Licht’s a piano instructor now; Otogiri’s the school’s doctor) and what everyone else would be (Tsurugi and squad are bodyguards; Iduna’s an engineer; Tsuyuki’s with the government; Sham’s with the government; Higan’s a wandering artist; Sakuya’s a psychologist; Ryuusei and Koyuki haven’t factored in at all oops; everyone else either has their canon profession or they’re college or high school students). One of the tidbits I actually spared thought to is that Kuro took a couple gap years and ended up in the same freshman Psych 101 class as Sakuya (who at present shares an apartment with Mahiru) and they somehow bonded and even after the class ended they became texting buddies (usually of memes) and hung out from time to time, but then Mahiru (after getting fired from his first school for some sort of reckless behavior) gets hired to the school all the Servamps are gathered at and starts out pretty argumentative with Kuro but eventually they gain a mutual understanding and maybe the beginnings of a relationship and Sakuya puts two and two together from conversations with Mahiru and texting with Kuro that the man he’s in love with might be in love with his texting buddy and he doesn’t know how to deal with that and so stops texting Kuro, and Kuro finds out about it from talking to Mahiru and then this happens
Kuro, throwing a chicken nugget at Sakuya’s window: why are u ghosting me Sakuya, opening the window: can u throw another
And they talk and all is well again. A poly ending is absolutely in the stars because Mahiru loves them both and they agree to it.
Also the other thing is this

Pokemon AU
This is the one I like the most right now! I actually have a couple of chapters written for it that I haven’t posted yet but basically the whole Servamp thing remains, but the pokemon that they transform into actually have their own personalities - rather than a transformation, it’s a shared body thing, and the human form is a manifestation of the vampire (formerly human) soul. I haven’t ironed out all the details of why this is happening, but I like the idea of them never being alone, though I haven’t figured out quite how this will change them. Hyde’s gonna be fun and also painful to figure out.

Fate AU
LET’S GET THIS HOLY GRAIL BREAD
Mahiru’s uncle was going to take part in the holy grail war but Mahiru accidentally summoned instead and what he summoned was Kuro, a Lancer. Add to that that Sakuya is still his best friend, was meant to be a pawn of Touma’s but ended up being Master-napped by the Saber he summoned (Tsubaki), and Tsubaki wants vengeance on Kuro, and we’ve got another round of heartbreaks on our hands because Fate is nothing but heartbreaks. The Alicein brothers are also there, summoning the same Servants (Caster and Archer) that their grandfather and Mikuni’s mom summoned, and they know that the Grail is tainted so they’re out to destroy it. Their backstory is a little tweaked with Mikuni just stealing his mom’s command seals to protect Misono instead of killing her, and he grabs Misono and absconds to the Church where they stay until Mikage ensures that Mikuni’s mom can never hurt Misono again after the War. Misono goes home, but Mikuni goes to study at the Clock Tower and comes back just in time for the next war. (There’s more under the pictures)
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Tetsu summons Rider, but his sisters are the masterminds of the operation; they’re doing their best to restore their family in an age of declining mana, and Tetsu’s got the best Magic Circuits among them so he’s tasked with summoning, but they’re operating under the strict principle that if any of their lives are endangered, especially Tetsu’s, then they halt the project immediately and seek refuge with the Church. Hugh’s hyped about the whole ‘restoring the family’s magic’ thing.
Licht, on the other hand, comes from a family that’s at the very height of their magical power. He doesn’t believe in an omnipotent wish granter because he feels that it’s cheating, but to win the Grail is the goal of every mage out there so he’s in it for the glory. For a summoning catalyst he uses a bracelet that was supposed to belong to a martyr princess of old (”She gave her life for her goals,” Licht said in awe. “Yep, it’s very impressive. Please do not do the same,” Licht’s mother said.), but it turned out to belong to the other person connected to her legend, a man who was terrible and cruel, uncaring of others after he was driven mad in grief, and so Licht summons a demon of an assassin and Crantz (regular human) is left babysitting these goons while Licht’s parents hold down the fort in Austria.
Now, the Berserker team. I just want you all to know that the ones I was most excited about is the Berserker team. Tsurugi carried out the summoning here, Touma’s other pawn, and he added a madness enhancement, changing Freya’s class from Shielder to Berserker. Tsurugi, unlike Sakuya, is a highly trained operative and adult and one of the Church’s Executors, and he’s also completely under Touma’s thumb so he’s an ideal proxy even though Touma couldn’t snatch Sakuya’s command seals like he intended to. Unfortunately, Freya’s madness has just released her inhibitions and she’s this fucking close to pulling a Tsubaki and Master-napping Tsurugi. She does her best - in her limited capacity - to get Tsurugi away from Touma and it all culminates in Touma deciding she’s too much of a loose cannon and trying to take Tsurugi’s command seals away, but the seals instead go to Iduna somehow (haven’t figured that out yet) and Iduna and Freya spirit Tsurugi away to help him recover. Shortly after Iduna develops a magic item that’ll dampen the effect of the madness enhancement, more or less reverting Freya to her original class.
Now, this Grail War is an absolute clusterfuck by this point, mostly because all the summoned Servants are siblings, so a Ruler comes in - drum roll please - World End! Because who better to solve a sibling squabble than another sibling, even if he is the third youngest. This is mostly because I want World End to be included in stuff. World End’s in my Pokemon AU. I failed to elaborate on that but since that’s the AU I’m actually writing it’s all good. Anyway they’re all gathered in a sort of war council at a family restaurant to work out their intense family issues and then World barges in ‘WHAT’S UP THIS IS A PRETTY AWKWARD REUNION.’
This actually might be one of my favorites on account of being able to have them all be different physical ages but keeping their age hierarchy since Heroic Spirits can be summoned at whichever point of their lives was significant, and also this means that I can just make up lore for them. In ten, twenty years I’m probably going to look back on this and groan but for now I’m going to have fun with it.
For Kuro, he took down an entire army on his own at age eighteen and then retreated from the world. Hugh stopped a war when he was small (this threat of war surfaced again when he was older; this was when Kuro took down a whole army). Jeje became a famous outlaw. Freya overthrew a government in order to protect her soldiers. Hyde served a princess, but she gave her life for peace, and shortly afterwards his older brother killed their father; Hyde turned cold and cruel after that. World End inherited his sister’s kingdom after she died in battle and stood strong against threats from other kingdoms, displaying sharp wisdom despite his brash personality. Snow Lily used his illusions to carry out a large scale rescue operation on a child trafficking ring. And Tsubaki? Tsubaki was but a man who inherited a sword from his father, then vanished into the night when that same father was killed. He could have - should have - been summoned as an avenger, but for the sake of story convenience and keeping the war to the traditional seven classes, I chose saber for him.

Mahiru and maybe Sloth? o3o
Hi PuffPuff! :3 I can absolutely do them both~
1: sexuality headcanon- Mahiru reads as a big ol' pan to me.
2: otp- KuroMahiSaku
3: brotp- School Quartet
4: notp- none! He has a great dynamic with every single character that's worth exploring, imo. But I also get that not everyone multiships as much as I do ^^; (or in the same way I do!)
5: first headcanon that pops into my head- After his mom died, he had really bad nightmares about the accident and would wake up crying in the middle of the night. Tooru would always, somehow, know to come and get him. Just pluck him right up, blankets and all, and go back to sleep with Mahiru in his bed. It made him feel so safe and loved.
6: one way in which I relate to this character- We both grew up not knowing who our fathers were
7: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- Nothing much? I do think he can be a bit of a nag at times, but that's not really embarrassment. 8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?- cinnamon roll~ He's a sweetie, just like you ;3
For Sloth now!
1: sexuality headcanon- He's a demon, so I don't really think it's fair to apply this to him? The way he views attraction is going to be so far removed from any kind of quantitative human or human-adjacent experience... On a similar note, he uses he/him pronouns bc that's what Kuro uses and it's simpler that way(lol) but frankly he doesn't give a shit. The opinions and designations of humans are meaningless to him outside of how he can use it to get what he wants out of them. He does, however, still recognize being called "it" while he's in his human form an insult. Again, he just doesn't care.
2: otp- SlothMahi
3: brotp- does him harassing Kuro count
4: notp- none
5: first headcanon that pops into my head- He claims to love both Mahiru and Kuro, but he's fully aware that his "love" is a terrible, dangerous thing and actively works to keep himself in check. As a demon, his self restraint is commendable.
6: one way in which I relate to this character- I also look fucking bomb with black nails
7: thing that gives me second hand embarrassment about this character- nada. Nothing he does is really outside of what you'd expect a demon to be doing 8: cinnamon roll or problematic fave?- he is SO problematic and that's very sexy of him
Thanks for the ask!
