notes: i received a request for this a while ago and i said i'd think about it then received an ask a couple of weeks ago saying another author was working on something based on the same movie. again, i've never seen the movie and i haven't read the author's work (or any new fanfiction rlly in the past few months cuz i haven't been in the headspace to enjoy it) so i will be making it up based off of the general concept of having memories of an ex erased. i said i'd wait to post it and i have every intention of doing so but i wrote this in a moment of inspiration and i've been posting previews so i thought i'd post this just as a teaser! it won't be out for a long time cuz i have so many wips and i don't want to be inconsiderate or invite weird, unsolicited comparisons. i just want to post previews bc i'm excited to get back into consistently writing after almost quitting 🥹

it’s jarring, to say the least, to see an estranged ex you used to love more than anything else in any unexpected context; but it's especially jarring for beomgyu as he watches you chatter away on your phone in the middle of the cafe he finds himself in. he catches your eye for just a second before you look away, and it's like he can't breathe. after your phone call, you smile as you type away on your screen. beomgyu gulps, because he knows that since you two made eye contact, it would be weird to just leave and pretend he didn't see you, though that's exactly what he wants to do. besides, no matter how much of a coward he is, he can't keep living with his unspoken feelings when he finally has the opportunity to express them, no matter how resolutely you might reject them. he hesitantly rises from his seat and walks over to you with unsure steps.

“hey,” he says unsteadily. you look up from your screen and give a forced smile, a far cry from the easy affection you used to give him. only him.

“uh, hey?” you reply. beomgyu worries he did the wrong thing by approaching you, especially because you seem confused that he said anything at all. you probably expected him to exit the cafe without a word, and the thought that you thought that he, who was once completely and utterly in love with you, would brush you off so easily brings a sharp pang to his chest.

“i… i know it’s been a while, but i… i want to, um, apologize for… everything.” he wants to lay down and die at his awkwardness, but he's wanted to say these words for so long, and no matter how much he’s compelled to swallow them down and safely tuck them away in the home they've carved out for themselves in his stomach, he knows this is the right thing to do. especially since you blocked him on everything before changing your number. especially since you moved away without a word after your disastrous breakup. especially since he hasn't seen you in so long, and he doesn't know if he'll ever see you again after this. your eyebrows furrow, and he braces himself for impact. but no amount of contrived mental fortitude could ever prepare him for your next words.

I live in a small town called Kelvingrove Village. My step-father is a carpenter and my step-mother is a painter. My ‘step’-mother left the home of my birth father when I turned 1, and married my step-father when I was around 3 y/o. My birth father is the one who is a descendent of Kashmir, and he gave me my Kashmir blood. My birth mother is Aelea Sol-Yete Kashmir. Aelea has light gray eyes and Niran has dark blue eyes. My real name is Ariadne (’Are’-ee-yuh-deen) Sol Kashmir, but I was renamed to Aeris Greze somehow by my step-mother because she wanted to hide my identity from my birth father.

I also have an older step sister (older than me by 3 yrs) named Dahlia Greze. My sister is well known in our village; she’s known for being both pretty and sweet. She isn’t rlly sweet tho, she often makes snide remarks to me whenever she can. I didn’t have many friends growing up because Dahlia would start bothering them too if they hung out with me. Dahlia is the favorite child bc she shares the same blood as my stepfather (stepfather’s name is Callum Greze) and step-mother (Her name is Cassia). My step-mother was madly in love with my father, Kyrian Solmir (he changed up his name lol, his real name is Niran Sol Kashmir). Also yes, everyone in the Kashmir bloodline has the same middle name, this is because it’s supposed to mean that everyone in the bloodline represents the sun.

Dahlia Greze receives expensive clothing and was most certainly spoilt by my stepfather and step-mother due to preference. Cassia had Dahlia with Callum Greze, she had a baby with him on accident through a hook-up, but decided to raise Dahlia, and made an excuse to leave a few months into her pregnancy due to pregnancy symptoms getting more taxing. Cassia had worked in Niran's mansion 6~ yrs prior to my birth. After giving birth to Dahlia, she eventually married my step-father a year later, and had started raising both Dahlia and I together in Niran’s mansion with his permission. Aelea, my birth mother, was a bit displeased with this arrangement. Dahlia, even as a child, did not like me and resented me out of jealousy. As a kid I often received expensive toys to play with, and was often tended to by many servants, especially when Cassia was unable to help me. Though it wasn't like Dahlia was completely neglected by the other servants, more attention was given to the noble child (me).

Sometimes, she’d pull at my hair and throw stuff at me. A few weeks after I turned 1, Cassia went to my stepfather’s house to ‘sell paintings’ but it actually was an excuse to see him. Cassia didn’t want to make it seem like her relationship with my step-father was a good one (to be honest, it really wasn’t anyway) to make sure Niran felt bad for her, kept giving her money, and eventually leave his wife to have a forbidden relationship with her. My step-father was dismissive of my step-mother and was often busy with work.

My father was getting worried, it was almost nighttime, and Cassia still was out in the city 'selling paintings'. While my other nannies were taking care of me, my father went out to find her himself as he was already out buying potions and machinery. He saw my step-mom speaking to Callum Greze through a window in the Greze house. Niran was relieved that she wasn't out in the streets at night, but before he left the scene, he heard Cassia scoff and complain that if she was married to Niran, she wouldn't be in the position she is now. She kept comparing Niran and Callum, basically saying how much better Niran is than Callum. Callum got (rightfully) angry at her, and yelled at her to leave.

Niran heard this and was completely stunned— he didn’t want someone who loved him to work for him when he was not only married, but taking care of his child. He told her that she had until the end of the week to pack her things and leave though a swift letter the next day. My step-mother was angry with the dismissal, and demanded Niran to tell her why he dismissed her from her position, and he confessed he heard what she said the night before. Cassia implored Niran to listen to her, but he simply left the room, not desiring an argument. Later, my step-mother told Callum that she wanted to leave the village after she talks with Niran; she she tells him to get all their stuff ready to leave so they can leave as soon as she comes back.

The day she left, she tried to seduce Niran, it didn’t work, and he angrily told her that he is not only married, but never loved her. Cassia tried to convince him that he did in fact love her, but everything she told him was stuff like ‘you glanced at me with love in your eyes’ ‘you smiled at me when…’. All stuff that was really small and just polite gestures. The next day, she packed all her things… and me. My actual father actually really cared about me, and he doted on me often. She knew that he really cared about me, so she took me to spite him and to try and take away a part of his happiness. She wanted to get rid of my mother, but she had too strong of a social background to do that, and she was already introduced to society. Cassia knew it'd be best if she took someone nobody really knows yet.

She brought me into the wagons with Callum and Dahlia and left before Niran could find out. Callum was confused and didn’t want my step-mother to take me with them, but she insisted, and lied saying that the child had nowhere else to go. While Cassia didn’t completely hate me, she didn’t really like me all that much because she could see my birth mother in me, and hated that I was essentially a product of Niran and Aelea’s love. She didn’t want to get rid of me along the way bc I was the only piece of Niran left for her.

As she raised me, she reveled in that fact that I was now ‘on her level’, she loved that I no longer was able to wear noble clothing, could play with expensive dolls and toys, or was tended to by servants every second. This made her preference for Dahlia grow, and Dahlia too relished the attention from her mom. Fast forward until I’m 12, (Dahlia’s 15). It’s May, which is dragon rider season. People from different rider schools came to Kelvingrove Village to recruit dragon riders in Kelvingrove, and everyone who was 15 years of age was gathered into lines to be tested.

Everyone thought Dahlia would be a rider because many thought she was smart (she was actually cheating, I was doing her work on top of my own work), athletic, and she even had pointy canine teeth. If your family has a dragon rider in it, a few days after the event in your village, a letter would arrive stamped with the royal seal. The letter would address the family and say so-and-so is a dragon rider, and a carriage would transport them to the second testing location in the beginning of June. Unfortunately, Dahlia wasn’t selected. Her two other close friends got selected to be riders though. Fast forward until I’m 15, (Dahlia’s 18) and it’s May again!

I was born in Niran Sol Kashmir (disguised as Kyrian Solmir) and Aelea Yete-Sol Kashmir's mansion, and my head nanny was Cassia. Cassia secretly loved Niran and thought he loved her too through simple and polite gestures. Cassia hooked up with Callum Greze awhile ago and had Dahlia (who is around 3 y/o at this point), then got permission to raise her in the mansion with me.

Cassia was out way later than she had reported, so Niran, who was already out running errands at that point, went to find her himself. He heard a couple arguing loudly, looked at a window, and realized that it was Cassia. She compared Callum and Niran, saying how much better Niran is, and confessed that she loved him more than she ever loved Callum. Callum got rightfully upset and sternly told her to leave.

The next day, Cassia received a letter saying that she is dismissed from her job as my head nanny, and will need to leave by the end of the week. Cassia implored Niran to change his mind and tried to seduce him. Neither worked, and Niran angrily kicked her out. Out of spite, Cassia took me with her, and moved far away from Niran. She took me instead of doing anything to Aelea because Aelea already had a strong social standing + everyone already knew her, nobody really knows me or what I look like.

Cassia changed my name without alerting Niran somehow from Ariadne Sol Kashmir to Aeris Greze to help ensure that Niran never finds me.

When dragon rider recruitment season comes around, Dahlia gets tested, and turns out not to be a rider even though many thought she'd be. When it's my turn 3 yrs later, I turn out to be a rider.

I know it’s not very realistic considering their time period, but let’s just say that m!soc isn’t very up to date on the way most Tulsa teens date. Instead of calling Pony or taking him out to the movies, m!soc does things like writing Pony literal pages of heartfelt letters, kissing Pony’s hand, buying Pony lots of genuinely thought-out gifts, etc.

Okay okay no this was so beautiful that ramble and i need to continue because firstly, i adore that NGE piano scene, everything about is perfect and i cry everytime at it. Im rotating my boys in my head like neutron stars again and it makes me so happy.

Secondly Shorekeeper and Rover relationship seems really cool and deep. Which brings me to something i noticed abot Wuwa, yes it has certain things that can be seen as fanservice and there is definitly stuff i dont like about the game but i feel Wuwa always gives their character always a certain depth to it. Or at least most of the time. I also just got into it recently again because i needed to kill time and wanted to revisit it for a while and just noticed that even stereotypes i dont normally like are well done in Wuwa. Specifically Lumi (i think was her name). She is this kinda stereo very energetic and cute girl but the concept of mouse and light combined with her character make her still unique in a way which didnt make me instantly recall. Im also very iffy with characters getting on strong with the character having seen stuff from certain games im not gonna mention to bring the topic up. But also just it´s often only annoying and doesnt bring anything to the story, like the game and moments would be the same without the forced romantic tension. But with shorekeeper it all makes sense and wouldnt make the same vibe if the relationship wouldnt be this deep.

You recently got your locs retwisted and went through every hairstyle in the book. And if you were being completely honest with yourself, you missed your afro. You voiced this to your mother and she immediately shot you down to your dismay.

"Girl get the fuck out my face with that nonsense." She'd waved you off, obviously not willing to hear you out.

"But ma! I'm starting to get bored of my locs, there's only so much a girl could doooo." You whined, flopping on her bed as she side-eyed you for not listening to her.

"Just get a wig, you used to wear 'em all the time. You not taking out them locs, and if you do, I'm not the one paying to get them redone when you regret it." She argued, going back to her loud Facebook video. And honestly, even though you couldn't take them out, you still saw this small compromise as a victory.

This leads you to now, in the hair store trying to figure out which one you wanted. You didn't want any flashy colors just yet, wanting to do something tame for the time being. Deciding on a dark-colored afro, you buy some more products with the wig and leave.

When you got to your house you immediately played some tunes on the tv and lit some lavender incense, you were gonna smoke a blunt while you did your hair but decided to save it for later. You sit down in front of your long mirror, braiding your locs back while watching Bumblebee on your laptop. You were so into the movie you didn't hear your bedroom window open.

"Whatcha watchin'?" Your boyfriend, Miles, whispered in your ear, ripping a shriek out of you.

"Miles, how many times I gotta tell you to stop doing that shit?" You say with a hand on your chest, heart beating a thousand miles (haha) per second.

He shrugged.

"Why'd you wanna take 'em out in the first place?" He raised an eyebrow at you expectantly. "Uhmm 'cause I'm getting bored of my locs. You question me too damn much."

"C'mon, ma I'm just curious.." He said getting up and looking for said wig. He looked at a purple bag on your bed skeptically, picking it up and finding a mop of hair inside. He quickly grabbed the bag and your phone and ran into the bathroom.

A beat of silence passes before you realize your boyfriend was missing.

"Miles, why are you so quiet?" And where was your phone..?

"Huh? I'm not being quiet— y-you're being quiet?" He said in more of a question than a statement. You finish up your last braid and stand up, shaking your head.

"I'm coming in there. You bet not be in my shit."

"What? I'm not in your shit —why would you say that?"

You quickly got your answer as to what mess Miles was doing this time. Lo and behold, this grown nigga, wearing your wig. With your phone in his hand. The wig honestly didn't look that bad on him, but his hair was out, making him look like he had a giant head. That and the hairline being way too close to his eyes made you hold back a laugh, feeling more humored than angry.

"Miles."

"Yea?" He said tentatively, setting your phone down on the sink counter.

"Give it here."

"But I look so good!"

"Nigga give it back!" You lunge at him, snatching the wig off his head.

"Ma! Now why would you do that!?!?" He whined snatching the wig back and holding it up in the air, making you stand on your tippy toes.

"Miles! Te voy a matar." You say quickly, almost losing your footing as you jump up to grab the wig out of his hand. "Careful mami you could hurt yourself," He said with a smug look on his face, before running past you into your bedroom.

"Good Spanish, by the way!"

"Miles! Give it backkk." You stomped your foot and pouted at him. It looked like he was gonna give it up for a second, but he put it back on his head. Putting his hand up to look at his nails, he swayed his head dramatically.

"Nuh-uh, girl!! This all me, girl."

"You just have to be you." You huffed, dragging a hand over your face.

"Ok, ok, sorry, baby," He said, walking up to you, taking the wig off his head, and placing it into your awaiting hand. He stood close to you, almost too close, towering over you as he placed a long kiss on your cheek. "Forgive me?"

"Nah. You owe me for this." You glare at him, sitting back down in front of your mirror to finish your hair. "How do some incense and waist beads sound?" he said, sitting down behind you to paw at your belly more.

btw to b clear, they all got some other stuff goin on w em mentally, but im focusing on them bein autistic rn, im a bit rusty when it comes to talking about them w autism bc i havent talked about it in so long, I HOPE THIS ALL MADE SENSE

tim- the same way ppl see darry as being autistic is how i feel w tim, its not much of a difference honestly, so ion have much to say. he comes off as cold but he’s rlly not, he’s blunt and that makes him come off as rude to a ton of ppl and so therefore unapproachable, generally prefers to be alone minus like a few ppl (those ppl being angela and curly, and hes kinda had to grow to get used to pony being around a bit). he kinda has a monotone voice. he does have a same routine generally speaking and HATES when it gets fucked up somehow, he gets pretty agitated. his special interest is maybe like, space or somethin like that, but he seems pretty casual about it so ppl dont exactly understand that its literally a special interest, if that makes sense. he can notice patterns n small things other ppl wouldnt. i could see him having synesthesia and pain insensitivity, thats part of the reason y ppl think hes so tough in fights, they think hes just so used to fights he cant rlly get hurt like others can but no, he genuinely just doesnt react to pain stimuli that much 

curly- hes the one out of all three of em where i actually have him more fleshed out😭

he does stim, however its things that r deemed as more “normal” to do in front of others like bouncing his leg, tapping something, etc etc, but i will tell u a good chink of his stiff is chewed bc he just “felt like biting something”. he doesnt know the volume of his own voice and that gets him into a bit of trouble, sometimes hes rude genuinely without even meaning to and he things thats just bc hes a shepard, he has his moments where he takes shit literally or just doesnt get social rules. honestly i could see him being either a lil too clingy physically or him hating being touched by others, maybe hes a mix of both. he also has pain insensitivity and like i said, ppl think its bc hes gotten into so many fights, he just doesnt feel that pain no more, but nope, genuinely registers pain differently BUT if u want him to be hypersensitive to touch, i will tell u that he is tender headed so tim always has trouble braiding his hair especially when he was younger. this is like more modern day ish hc of him but ik he would be repeating words/phrases over and over (its called echolalia i think). doesnt rlly make eye contact a while bunch, its not bc hes nervous or it makes him uncomfortable tho its just like, a thing he does idk how to explain it. hes autistic but if u literally just got this nigga someone to get a look at him it becomes pretty obvious hes autistic, hes literally not even masking, if u had someone u hc to be autistic and they looked at him on his day to day life theyre def goin “hmm,,,”. hes def gotten into a fight bc he was overstimulated lmao

He opens the door wider to let u in, moving to the side as u walk in, u take ur shoes off n start to shuffle into his room, him following quickly behind u , u enter his room where u see the food and the show already set up like he was waiting for u to arrive, "were u waiting or something" "yeah actually I was bored bro" he says as u both flop onto the bed, situating urselfs into a sitting position, he turns the show on as u both start eating.

feeling full and tired after working and eating so much food u both decide to lay down on his bed, snuggling into eachother while watching missing, "omg I told u that he would end up being her dad!" , "HYUCK SHUT UP AND WATCH THE MOVIE" u say while covering his mouth with the hand that was free, other hand busy messing with his hair that u slightly tugged at while yelling at him, he winced in pain even tho it was the slightest pull. (he liked it but he would never admit that to u ofc). "Your moms real name is sarah" the guy on the TV says while u guys are immersed into the movie a lil too much u guys don't realize his roommates coming home and standing in the doorframe watching u guys until renjun and doyoung speak up, "u guys are literally a couple" renjun says first , "no literally look at them all snuggled up to eachother under the blanket watching a movie" doyoung adds to renjuns comment. Haechan let's out a sudden shreik from shock when he sees his roommates home from a guys night out (it was js them 2 and they went to a amusement park 😭😭) "WHY DIDNT U GUYS SAY U WERE COMING HOME?" Haechan says in his high pitched voice, "we literally texted u like 5 times bro, YOU didn't answer" renjun says back pointing at his phone he had in his hand, haechan climbs over ur body to grab the phone that was sitting at his desk charing, opening it to see the 5 msgs from the gc his roommates made.

If ur sooooo hot get a fan!"he says turning it off and walking away. Knowing not to mess with the ac again hyuck storms away dramatically. His walking becomes more sulky while he walks to u , pulling u into a hug from the back. "just turn ur fan on dong" u say while u scroll on ur phone as he starts to sway u both side to side, u guys may look like a couple but u both really don't care, maybe u guys like looking like a couple, maybe u guys ARE a couple but hiding it, who knows.
