My heart wont start anymore, for you

Sirius Black x fem!reader
She was in love with him. He never felt the same
1.7k
tw: mention of Y/n, slight swearing
This has been in my drafts since August. The ending is sloppy.
Tumblr media
It had been going on for years now. Ever since she'd first saw him, that September 1st on platform 9¾, she'd only ever had eyes for him.
Stolen glances, innocent brushes of her hand against his, so many signs and yet he never picked up any of them.
Sirius Black was too focused on other girls to notice his best friend pinning after him, even now, after all these years. And yet her feelings never changed.
"So, who's that?" James teasingly asked the black haired boy, glancing towards a ravenclaw girl in their year, who was practically eyefucking Sirius from across the room.
"Jessica Monroe" Sirius smirked, then continued eating his breakfast. "Dude, that's like, the 3rd one this month" Remus pointed out.
"It's not my fault the ladies can't resist me"
"And as it seems, neither can you" Peter chimed in. "At least n/n here hasn't fallen for your charms yet" James joked, eyes set on the only girl in their friend group.
"As if!" She laughed, trying to cover up the rosy color of her cheeks.
Little did James know how wrong he had been.
It wasn’t until two weeks later when things really started going downhill. She had just returned from her perfect's duties when she found Sirius waiting for her in the common room. It was well past midnight and everyone had retired to their dorms long ago.
"Finally, I've been waiting for you for hours" the boy jumped up from his spot on the couch once he saw her. She stared at him confused. He gently grabbed her wrist and dragged her to sit beside him as he plopped himself on the couch.
"What are you even doing down here at this time?"
Sirius ignored her question. "I need to talk to you."
"Well, couldn't it wait until the morning? I'm exhausted" She groaned, leaning her head back on the couch.
He ignored her again.
"I realized something."
His words had her sitting straighter in mere seconds.
Had he finally figured out her feelings for him?
She wasn’t exactly subtle about them either.
He must know.
Sirius looked at her. Whatever it was she was suspecting at that moment could have never even come close to what was yet to come.
"I've been sleeping with Thalia" he breathed out.
It wasn’t unusual for Sirius to sleep with different girls then dump them within the course of the next week. Most of the time he didn’t even mention who it was he was having sex with, so why would bringing her up now?
"Okay?"
She finally said not knowing how else to respond.
"The thing is, I want us to be more. As in, I actually have feelings for her. She makes me the happiest just by smiling at me. So much that makes me want to stay by her side until the end of my days."
"I guess what I'm trying to say is that I'm in love with her. Hopelessly and utterly in love."
And it was in that moment when the little candle of hope she had burned out.
The thing was, that even if Sirius was with other girls, it never lasted long simply because he had never loved any of them. The flame was just weaker, flickering.
And now there he was, talking about how he couldn't imagine a world without the blonde Gryffindor, going as far as to admit being in love with her. There was no candle anymore, only a paddle of melted wax where it once had been.
The girl in front of him, blinked back tears as she shook her head. "I want her to ask her on a date '' Sirius continued.
"But when I do, I want it to be perfect. This is where I need your help. You know her better than me, you can tell me what she likes, for example which kind of flowers does she like the most? And what’s her favorite color? Does she prefer a picnic by the black lake or stargazing at the astronomy tower?" the boy continued rambling until the Y/n stopped him.
And as much as it hurt her to do so, she did value his happiness more than hers. In the end she agreed to help him.
It had been three weeks since Sirius and Thalia started dating. And it was safe to say they were stuck to the honeymoon phase.
The two couldn't keep their hands off of each other. They were always touching somehow and every chance they got to kiss, they did. They'd go on dates every other day and more often than not they slept in each other's bed, at the point where Remus had started complaining that she was practically living in their dorm.
Not to mention that they were always together. And when they weren't, which was a rare occurrence, all Sirius could do was talk about her.
She didn’t blame him. Thalia was a girl made out of angel dust, the prettiest and kindest one could ever be. She had to be the sweetest thing to ever walk on this earth.
Yet Y/n couldn’t help but envy her. The blonde was everything she wasn’t.
Once the two reached their one month anniversary it had started to become frustrating. And the closer the couple grew, the further the two friends slipped apart.
Sirius didn’t know what had happened between them. One second she was there, the other one she was gone, completely out of sight. It seemed to him that earth might as well have swallowed her whole and left no trace behind.
In the months following Sirius and Thalia getting together, Y/n had avoided him at any and every cost. She still hung out with the rest of the marauders, they were her best friends after all just not when Sirius was around.
Instead she’d now hang out more with Lily, Marlene and Mary, the three growing closer ever since she started sitting with them at dinner. She’d joke about how her and Marlene were practically married at this point and she’d even had made friends with Regulus (or something along those lines) after finding him up at the astronomy tower.
To say things had changed was an understatement.
It was a slow progress too. Yet Sirius failed to notice it. Until now.
Him and Thalia had had their first argument the night before. It was unusual for the two to fight at all, much less not be on talking terms. Sirius needed to talk to his best friend but how could he do that when she was nowhere to be found.
It was in the common room, well after dinner when Sirius managed to spot her. She was sitting next to Peter, helping him with his potion’s essay.
“Hey” he greeted taking a seat opposite her. She muttered a quiet ‘hi’ back but didn’t look up.
He sat in silence for a little while, waiting for them to finish. When he finally decided he couldn't wait anymore, he cleared his throat. The two looked up at him confused. “Anything you need Sirius?” she asked, rather coldly.
He wasn’t used to her calling him by his first name. It was either Siri or pads and sometimes ‘my star’ but never just plain Sirius. “Yes, actually. I need to talk to you.”
“Well can’t it wait. I have to help Pete with this and then I promised Lily I would put her hair into French braids” she said, trying to make up a lie to avoid him. She didn’t even know how to do French braids.
“It won’t take long, I promise”
“Fine,” She sighed. “What do you want to talk about?”
“Not here” he said, motioning for her to get up before doing so himself. He guided her upstairs to his and the boy’s dorm room. It had been a while since she’d last been there. And yet nothing had changed.
“What is going on with you?” Sirius asked after shutting the door closed and turning to her.
“What? Nothing. Everything is perfectly normal” the girl shrugged trying to play it off.
“Except it isn’t. You are never around anymore. We never talk anymore, you don’t even sit with us in the dining hall. I haven’t seen you since the last full moon and even then you didn’t talk to me. You were my best friend. Us against the world, remember? What the hell happened to us? What the hell happened to you n/n'' The more he spoke the more his voice rose.
“No” she shook her head.
“What do you mean no?” He asked, frustrated.
“Sirius, you were the one who started pulling away. After you got with Thalia you were always with her. And when you weren’t it was your main, not to say only, topic of discussion.”
“That’s not true” he argued.
“Yes it is! Tell me Sirius had you even realized I wasn’t around you as much before today?” she defended.
She was right. He hadn’t.
“And you know what’s worse? I was in love with you. I have been in love with you since the first day on the train.”
She has done it now.
“Do you even know how fucking hard it is? Listening to someone you love constantly about someone else?”
Silence. She hadn't intended to say this but she couldn't have controlled it. She had finally reached her limit.
Sirius looked down at the floor. He hadn't expected to hear such words from her yet he felt extremely guilty.
This was it. Her entire world came crumbling down and it was clear that whatever hope she had for salvaging their friendship was now gone. She had ruined it.
She looked up. Sirius' gaze was still pinned to the floor. It hurt her that he wouldn't even look at her.
She left the room slamming the door shut behind her. There were too many unanswered questions, more than before. There was confusion and then there were mixed feelings. It seemed that nothing was certain anymore.
And in that moment her heart stopped. And she knew, her heart wouldn't start anymore, at least not for him.

I hate that I Love you
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
wc. 945 tw. toxic amber, cussing pairing- Amber freeman x reader
Tumblr media
Ever since you were younger you had a certain way you liked to do things.
You liked to have everything organized and structured. But as you learned life always comes with obstacles. Obstacles, you’ve learned, are inevitable.
Just like the obstacle laying beside you.
Amber freeman.
To say you were a perfectionist was an understatement, you had the same routine you stuck to every morning. Wake up, get ready for school, cheerleading practice, homework, get ready for bed, sleep.
Repeat.
Everything was perfect, and then a disruption in your routine happened. Wakeup, get ready for school, bump into Amber Freeman on the way to cheer practice, regret your life choices, homework, get ready for bed, sleep.
Amber was a character for sure, she was bad for you, and you knew that, even now as you sat in her bed, relaxed with your head in her lap while she watched the stab movies for the third time this week.
One year.
You guys have been together for one whole year. And you’ve never felt worse. Crying yourself to sleep at night when she accused you of cheating, arguing over stupid things such as your skirt being a little too short, silent treatment for weeks until you admitted you were wrong even when you weren’t, somehow making you feel like without her you could do nothing, you would be nothing.
You suppose it was your fault as amber would say, “you knew how I was when you first agreed to date me, so what's the problem now”
flashback
You were late.
Of course, as you realized you were going to have extra laps at practice for being late, you started to speed walk down the hallways, not paying attention, you bumped into one accidentally tripping and bringing them down with you. Frantically you looked up to see who you rushed in to and immediately apologized. “I'm so sorry, I wasn’t paying attention and I-”
“Shut up” was all she said, glaring at you making you look down in embarrassment.
“I don't need an apology, I need you to watch where you're going”, she looked up and paused, analyzing the girl in front of her. You both looked at each other as if waiting for eachothers next move. You made a move to leave and get out of the awkward situation before she stepped in front of you and said “wait.”
And then it all went downhill from their
now
“Are you even paying attention?” Amber whispered as if not to scare you. You looked up at her before responding, “yeah im just tired, also we’ve seen this movie 10 times already, this month,” Amber rolled her eyes, getting ready to rant about how the stab franchise is worth rewatching, you sighed.
You moved your head off her lap and onto the pillow next to her. “I'm going to sleep” is all you could say before Amber started a new argument with you.
Again.
Amber looked over at you  with a frown, “so your tired now, but not when that Olivia girl was talking to you, you seem so energized, but now your tired.”
One moment of peace was all you wanted, you turned to face amber before saying. “Amber, me and Olivia are on the cheer team together, where friends, and friends talk. Also it’s 3am and we have been watching movies for the past 6 hours, I'm tired.” You tried to reason.
Amber quickly responded with “you can either stay up with me and watch movies, or spend the night with Olivia since you seem to like her so much.”
You snapped, this wasn’t that big of a deal based on things Amber has done to you in the past, but it was like everything that had ever made you mad, upset, and sad came to the top. “Amber, my life doesn’t revolve around you and you honestly need to get over yourself!”
Silence.
Amber's eyes widened as if it was crazy that you would talk back to her, so she did what she did best, hurt you. “How can you say that, after all I have done for you, when we first met you were just some weird loner with no friends, I made you who you are, your nothing without me”
“Fuck you Amber, i'm leaving” here you were trying your best and it was never enough for her, you started to get dress as you felt hands wrap around your waist. And just like that happy Amber was back.
Amber smiled at you as if to make the situation better. “I'm sorry, you know how I get, you know I didn’t mean it, please stay,” as much as you wanted to relax into her touch you knew better, so you ignored her and put your shoes on.
“Are you really going to walk home at three in the morning, that's not safe” Amber smiled as she nodded her head to the window, and just now you noticed how dark it was. Weighing your options, you sighed and went to make a move to go outside. She quickly grabbed your wrist before saying “don’t be stupid it’s not safe, stay here, where I can protect you, where I can hold you, you just said you were tired, let's go to sleep.”
Before you could say anything she started pushing you back towards her bed, using her strength to keep you from trying to leave. You tried to leave, you really did but you were tired, it was scary outside, and the way Amber was looking at you right now made your heart melt. So you sighed as she tried to coax you to come back to her bed, you relented, you gave up, and just like that you were back in her arms, back in her bed.
Again.
This was the part in your routine where you regret your life choices.

During a mission there was a newborn baby abandoned in one of the warehouses and the Avengers knew that they couldn't just leave her.
They finished the mission and brought the baby home. A long discussion was made about what to do with the baby and it was decided that they were going to take her to a local orphanage that was until someone who they never expected to speak up and offered to raise the baby.
Natasha walked over and gently took the newborn baby out of Steve's arms.
Natasha has always wanted to be a mom but she never thought that she would actually become one.
After a lot of thinking and going through a long long list of baby names Natasha finally found the perfect one. She named the baby Y/N.
For the first week, baby Y/N was the most perfect baby ever. She hardly ever cried and slept wonderfully. Natasha never thought a baby could be this calm
That was until week two came along then baby Y/N's health drastically went downhill.
Baby Y/N went from hardly crying to crying what felt like all day. Nothing that Natasha tried seemed to be working. Steve offered to take the baby to the doctor so Natasha could get some sleep he knew that it's been days since she'd had any sleep mainly because he had stayed up with her.
Steve came back from the doctor and told Natasha that the baby had colic. Steve explained that colic was when a baby cries for no reason. He also said to Natasha that the doctor has scheduled an allergy appointment in case it's caused by a milk allergy.
The allergy test came back negative so the only thing that could be done was to let the colic pass on its own.
A week passed and things weren't getting any better after another doctor's visit all the doctors said that it was normal.
---⧗---
It was nearly 3 in the morning and Natasha was exhausted and could not handle the crying anymore. She was walking around her bedroom gently rocking the baby.
"Please stop crying." She said on the verge of tears herself.
The door opened and Clint walked in.
"Still no improvements?" He asked.
"No." Natasha sighed as she gently placed the crying baby in the cot hoping that she would tire herself out and fall asleep.
Clint could see that she was not okay. "Want me to take care of her so you can have a nap you can sleep in my room." He offered kindly.
She gave a weak smile, "Thank you, Clint."
She left the room and went into Clint's room. She had set an alarm for 30 minutes as she knew that Clint had to get home to his wife and kids. She honestly had no idea how Clint's wife Laura could handle three kids all by herself especially when the youngest was barely four months old.
---⧗---
Things were getting a little better baby Y/N was still crying but it wasn't as much as the last week but Natasha was the most exhausted she'd ever been.
She was sitting on the couch feeding the baby and she could barely keep her eyes open. She ended up falling asleep completely unaware of what was happening to the baby in her arms.
The Avengers had just come back from a mission. They walked into the living room to find baby Y/N alone screaming in the baby bouncer and Natasha was nowhere in sight.
"Natasha?" Steve called out as he carefully picked the baby up and looked around for her
They found her lying on the floor curled up in a ball crying
"What happened?" Clint asked as he kneeled beside her and placed his hand on her shoulder.
"I dropped her." she sniffed. "I fell asleep on the couch holding her and when I woke up she was on the floor."
Clint helped Natasha up off the floor and led her to the couch.
Bruce walked over and started checking the baby to make sure that she was okay. "She's fine Natasha babies are tougher than you think."
Steve tried to hand the baby back to Natasha but she turned away from him "No, I don't want to hurt her again." she said.
"You won't," Bruce assured her.
The rest of the Avengers stayed silent in case what they said would make the situation worse
"You're just stressed and overwhelmed right now." Clint urged her to take the baby again. "She needs her mom."
"I can't be her mom I'm not good enough just take her back to the orphanage shell be better off with other parents," Natasha said.
"That's not true," Bruce said, his tone gentle . "It is though." She said and tried to stand up.
Clint stopped her and took her back down to the couch. "You are a wonderful mother. You're just stressed right now. We all saw how much you adored the baby before she got colic and it won't last forever."
"You don't know that." She said bitterly.
"I do all of my kids have had it and they eventually got over it and they're just fine," Clint told her.
"And in time the same will happen to Y/N and she will be that happy baby you knew before. Trust us Natasha we wouldn't lie to you." Bruce said chiming in.
Natasha took a deep breath and looked up at everyone's faces. She knew there was a part of her that agreed with them but right now she couldn't see that it would get better. It felt like things had just kept getting worse. But she knew she needed to trust her friends. They hadn't lied to her so far, and she had no reason to think they would start now.
"Okay." She said with a sad smile. "I'll keep trying."
Natasha gently took the finally sleeping baby from Steve being very careful not to wake her and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"You dont have to do this alone Nat we'll all step in to help," Steve reassured her.
"Thank you," Natasha said looking around and smiling at her friends.
---⧗---
It took quite a while for baby Y/N to finally get ever the Colic but when she did she became the happy and calm baby that she was before. Everyone was happy especially Natasha that the constant crying had finally stopped but what they weren't prepared for was when Y/N became a toddler and just how much of a handful this tiny human would become.

Leon Kennedy X FEMReader
Tumblr media
Vendetta Leon Era 👀👉🏻👈🏻
Hi Hi! I actually haven’t wrote Fanfic in like years LMAO but I decided to give it another shot whenever I get random motivation lol. I was up at 4 am writing this, I’m sorry if it isn’t as good but I tried! Enjoy!
Warning: Little Angst, Smut, Alcoholism Fingering, Bits of Wholesome.
Summary:
You and Leon Kennedy have been in a relationship for a year now. Throughout the relationship, it’s been very wonderful but your worry for his drinking habit has gotten out of hand with his stress from still haunting him from Raccoon City, In Spain, and China. You tried to think of a way to “relieve” this stress he has, even from off his missions. Maybe for this idea of relief of stress you thought of in mind, will spice more things up more in the relationship and also to see if he could do this idea instead of drinking his life away…
MINORS GO AWAY, DO YOUR HOMEWORK.
•••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••
It’s been a year since you and Leon have been a couple now. A one year anniversary if you will. The thought of being with this man for a year sparked you with joy; pure love. The memories fulfilled clouds in your head. You and Leon’s first dates, Laugher over little things, Sharing Thoughts, Opening up to each other, Adventures, the whole love roller coaster. Being with Leon just made your whole life perfect but, you do worry over his health and even his mental health. Lately, Leon felt like a different type of person. He was drinking alcohol more than he should have been. At first, back from his mission from China, He would just take at least a couple of shots before bed which didn’t really affect you as much if it was the bare minimum. But lately, Leon the more he went out to do his missions and help out the president, made it seem like he was getting worse by the minute. You were growing to be more concerned over his health. It was too much alcohol. After all, you knew exactly why he chose to drink his life away like this. Even the thought of your boyfriend getting drunk on the daily after his duties was a big concern for you. You loved Leon with your whole heart and soul, it would kill you worse of all to see how downhill he gets more from all of this. You did on the other hand, talk to him in a serious conversation about his bad alcohol habits. He could see your concerns and worries, it killed him worse to make you see this whole new side of himself. Which made his mental health spiral around even more. You hated seeing him like this daily even when he is home. But today was the day to celebrate a little something special for you and his one year anniversary.
You just got up from your slumber. The sun ever so slightly beamed into the bedroom to warm parts of the wooden floors. Sitting up from the bed, you stretched your arms up to gain energy, rubbing the tiredness from your eyes until your eyes were clear to see your surroundings. The feeling next to you felt empty on the bed, which gave you the thought that Leon was awake before you. That wasn’t really a big surprise for you though. Leon seemed to be a morning bird more than you at least. You turned your head to face the clock on your side of the bed, 12:15 AM. The time immediately made your adrenaline spark, full on speeding your pace to get out of bed. Fixing the covers back onto the bed, Situating yourself quickly as you could to head in the bathroom to refresh. Brushing through your hair, teeth, washing your face to wake you up more.
After getting yourself put together, you started to head to the kitchen to find something to cook you and Leon for breakfast even though it was noon. When you made your way to the kitchen, a little smile tugged onto your lips as you see your lover hunched over the counter top but that smile faded away slowly as you see him taking swigs of Whisky like it was no big deal. Feeling a presence, Leon turned his head to face you to take a good glimpse of what he adores which brought a little cheeky smile on his face.
“Well look who it is, the love of my life.” He said a bit upfront and in a playful way. “Glad you’re awake sweetheart, Happy one year to us, I love you.” He said ever so sweetly with that cheesy smile of his but that little bit of drunk energy was there but not as much that he could blackout or anything in those terms.
His words made your heart skip a beat which made your smile come back, walking towards the counter to land a sweet peck onto his cheek. “I love you more but do you REALLY have to be drinking on this special day Leon?” You asked. You really didn’t want to think about how rough he has it lately and from the past stress that made you sick from worrying too much. I mean come on! It is you and his special day to spend time together and try to make it positive as possible but you mostly wanted to make him happy on this day besides worrying for yourself. You just cared about Leon a lot which showed your heart a lot.
Leon fixed his posture as he went a little hesitant, his grip on the glass was loosening but quickly tightened again like normal. “If only I could just forget what happened back then, I wouldn’t have to go through this same shit hole again..” His tone lowered an octave, letting a sigh out from his frustration. “Y/N, I know you worry about me a lot and that makes me happy to hear and see that but the pain from the past even present of what I have to deal with, what I have to go through again, it still messes with me. I lost so many people back in then, even now who knows what I’ll have to go through for my next mission.”
His words hit to your heart as he vented his frustration and stress towards you. If there was a way to help him get his frustration out and even stress, it would make you feel so good that you helped more of your lover out. You thought about it for a hard moment which an idea slapped across your mind. This idea wasn’t the time but that’s all you can think of.. and it is intimate and an new experience to you and Leon. The idea made you start to feel like you were burning alive from how embarrassing it was. You are a virgin after all and this sort of thing made you terrified. But you trusted Leon after all, he wouldn’t hurt you at all, he’s always been here for you when you need him and you’ve been there for him when he needs you. What could be bad about relieving his stress and frustration through sexually? God the idea was brewing your head but anxiety was creeping upon you the most. Shaking it off for now, you gulped, putting your hands onto his shoulders to look up at his blue orbs in his eyes that sparkled from the lighting from the kitchen.
“Leon.. I know you have it rough and I bet it is a huge nightmare for you but unfortunately, those past memories or present won’t go away and I wish I could help to take your pain away.. I love you and I hate seeing you suffer through this but.. you know.. drinking too much alcohol won’t help much of your stress or frustration. But, I think I know a way that could help you out well, us out that can make a big change..” Your eyes immediately lost contact with his eyes from mentioning a solution to help your lover out. The idea could possibly help right? It’s intimate and not killing his liver or anything.
Leon looked puzzled from this new solution to help his stress and frustration you mentioned. His eyes scanned your flushed face and lost of eye contact which gave him the hint of what this idea of yours going in your head. But he didn’t want to go straight forward and see if it was true or not so, he played along. His hand led up to your chin so you can meet back with his eyes, staring down into your orbs without hesitation. “Really? What would that be? I’m listening.” His tone was still in that octave from him venting but it was like it shifted into a different low octave. Was he being seductive? If so, the way this is going, it’s making you grow nervous but getting heated.
“Well.. you know how we’ve been together for a year now right? W-Well, what if that frustration and stress can be lead onto me? If you know what I mean? It’s embarrassing to explain more into detail but.. please tell me you understand-“
“Oh. I understand sweetheart. You don’t even have to say it twice. I think..” Leon paused for a moment as his hands went to your waist to squeeze into your hips, immediately not to hesitate to lift you onto the counter with all his strength, his lips deadly close to your ear to finish. “I think I love this idea way better.” His voice purred into your ear which sent major chills down your spine.
Your face was stained with shades of blush across the horizon of your face, like it was on fire. Your breathing started to get close of need, but that need was showing now. His touch, his lips, his scent drove you crazy. “Leon-“ your voice sounded soft with a mix of a slight whine to it which caught his attention, causing a wicked smirk across his face to face you, his forehead pressed against yours.
“Yes Baby?” His voice sounded ever so innocent but you know what exactly he was doing to you, it was killing you from wanting him even more.
“Please, Please be easy with me.. it’s my first time. I’m nervous…” Your words sounded cute to him, his smirk turned into a sweet smile, those blue orbs looking deep into yours.
“I’ll be gentle with you love don’t worry, it will be my first too, I’ll take care of you.”
His words felt safe and full of trust. You smiled a bit shyly now but nodded so you agreed along with him. With that being said, his hands adventuring its way to your thighs to grip into lightly, up your shirt, now to your chest, receiving a soft moan from your lips to slip. His eyes were full of love and wickedness as he begin you and his kiss. Your tongues started to play and dance together, tasting the alcohol mixed within your taste, But it didn’t matter to you. You made your legs wrapped around his hips to hold onto but to pull him closer to you. You could feel the tent in his boxers to form, lightly rubbing against your clothed core receiving more needy moans from being muffled you and Leon’s passionate kiss.
Leon proudly swallowed your moans within the kiss but pulled back to take a breath but to admire the ecstasy on your face, the bridge of saliva connected from you and Leon’s tongues. “I love seeing you like this for the first time, only for me.” He chuckled, picking you up to head to the bedroom to throw you into the bed so he could crawl on top of you to stare down at your messy image below him. “You’re so perfect.”
The compliments kept that smile on your face but that shades on your face never went away. You were growing impatient and wanted him here and now. Even though you are getting needy for this man you loved, you were still anxiety written by losing your virginity. Leon could see your facial expressions and he surely did study it very well. He leaned down to kiss you sweetly on your lips and proceeded to move on. “I’ll take good care of you baby don’t you worry.” His voice purred that low octave that you were so down for. Leon started to mess with the buckle of his belt to slip through the holes to throw onto the wooden floor, Unzipping and pulling his pants down to reveal him in his boxers but quickly unzipped his leather jacket with his shirt underneath until he was fully exposed in his boxers only.
“Let me help you out too sweetheart.” He smiled to comfort you, his hands ruining up to your shirt to pull an over your head to reveal your undergarment which made him almost lose his focus. But he shook it off for now to help you pull off your shorts to reveal more of yourself. “So fucking beautiful, all for me.” He added, throwing your clothes onto the floor that clattered along with his. You started up at Leon’s body, urging to place your hands along up and down his chest and to feel his features to admire him more. Just thinking makes you even more horny for your lover.
His hands couldn’t keep itself off you, wasting no time to take your undergarments off until you are bare underneath him. You felt the cool air hit your body, causing you to lightly shiver but wanted more of Leon. “Would it be okay if I prepare you first? I don’t want to hurt you for our first time together.”
The way he mentioned “our” made you melt happily, nodding to give him permission. You could feel his body position so he could perfectly angle his fingers to rub your clit gently in circles at first to make you feel pleasure to substitute your anxious feels. You felt yourself lightly twitch from the sensation, moaning softly from the pleasure. Leon felt a smirk tug onto his face as he watched your face expression turned from anxious to pleasure real quick. Like you were a light switch. He chuckled as he slowly kept playing with your clit gently in a circular motion.
“You like that hm?” He smirked, keeping that low octave in his tone present. Your breath was slightly getting heavy from the new sensations coming across you quick. “Fuck Leon-“ you whined softly, holding onto the sheets below you, your legs twitching from the nerves being toyed with.
“Don’t cum yet baby, the fun hasn’t even started to happen just yet.”
With that being said he stopped his actions, moving his singular digit close to your entrance, the feeling of your wetness made him groan from satisfaction. “You’re so wet for me, I can’t wait to feel more.” He chuckled, not even hesitating to slowly push in his middle finger inside your flower, a gasp escaping your mouth from the new feeling to make your back arch with a more of a moan.
Leon made sure to follow his mission, finding your good spot. His finger started to move in and out slowly to get you used to being stretched, not even hesitating to add another to stretch you more quickly.
“Leon!- Oh god!-“
“Keep moaning my name sweetheart.” He demanded. Your moans were music to his ears. He couldn’t get enough of you already, this man was dying already from being impatient to be inside you. Leon wanted to fill you up with his length, stretching you out to only fit his size, and to fill you up with his cum
Your breath hitched the more you felt your good spot being abused by your lovers fingers, feeling a very new feeling in the pit of your abdomen like you were needing to release. “L-Leon- I- I think I’m going to cum!-“
“Not yet baby.” He quickly stopped his movements causing you to whine from the satisfaction going away for now. Leon made himself tower above you, pulling his dick out of his boxers. He slowly stroked it a couple of times to ease himself. Lowering down, he made the tip teasing between your bond of nerves through your lips to your entrance, aligning it so anytime it would push inside. “Are you ready sweetheart? If it hurts let’s me know, I’ll be gentle with you.” He added, giving you a sweet kiss onto your forehead.
“I’m..Im ready.” You responded, spreading your legs a bit more for him to gain more access to your cunt. He smiled with a nod, making sure his hands intertwined with yours so he slowly pushed his weight above so his dick would slowly push inside of your walls.
“A-Ah!-“
You gasped in shock as you felt your cunt being stretched out by the man you loved. Closing your eyes, You tried to focus on the pleasure besides the first feeling of pain. You could feel how deep he is by now which caused you to moan, arching your back below him.
Leon moved his hips slowly, his hands griping into yours from how tight your cunt was around his cock, thrusting slowly but gently. “Fuck baby- you’re so tight for me.” He growled lowly to himself, his brown strands of hair hitting into those wicked blue eyes. You had to admit, Leon looked so charming and sexy like this as well but you always loved however he looked.
When the pain went away, you could feel your walls being perfectly fit enough around Leon, his thrust picking up the pace a bit, your breathing getting heavy with combination of moans and whines from pleasure. Leon moved his hands to your hips to hold onto, maneuvering you to take in every inch of his cock, grunting as he loved how you felt around him. “Fuck- you’re so good at taking all of me inside you, you are such naughty girl.” He chuckled a bit along with his heavy breathing, picking up more of his pace to hit into your good spot.
Your head was funneling with his words but mostly with your pleasuring high. Your moans were loud, filling in you and Leon’s bedroom. Following along with your wetness sounds with skin slapping, the perfect combination as well. Leon was looking down at you to take in the pleasured expressions on your face that was making him more confident for making you satisfied. “Fuck- Keep your eyes on me please baby…”
You felt your heart race, listening as you kept your eyes up at him, receiving a curse underneath his breathing. Leon kept his pace up, enjoying each moment of this between you and him. He could tell he will never get over you moaning for him and the way you look so hot underneath him like you are a big mess that he made and he loves every bit of it.
When Leon picked up his pace and gradually growled faster with his thrusting, you felt the familiar knot in your abdomen. You couldn’t hold it in any longer, moaning loudly as you were very close. “L-Leon!!! I-I’m gonna cum!..” you whined out, tearing up from the pleasure he was giving you.
Leon could feel his climax get there too, his pace quickening to make sure he hit deeper and deeper inside you. “F-Fuck. Let it out baby.. I’m gonna fill you up so good.” He growled in a low active, letting his low groans mix within your high pitched moans.
With that being said, you finally ride out your orgasm along with Leon’s. He filled you up inside with every bit of his seed, resting there for a moment until he collapsed onto your chest panting. “I love you so much sweetheart. I feel like this is a way better idea than drinking after all.” He chuckled, closing his eyes to relax himself.
“I think it’s way better.” You giggled, running your fingers through his hair softly to ease him.
“Say, how about we shower and I’ll take you to dinner for our anniversary, sounds like a plan?” He smiled, looking up at you with those blue eyes.
“Sounds like the plan love.”

Teapots and Talks.
Part 1: Midnight Ventures.
It was the dead of the night, perhaps one, or maybe two in the morning? Crystal couldn't be sure. Either her vision had gone blurry as of recent, or the practically-archaic grandfather clock was... broken. Most likely the former, honestly.
Crystal shook her head, trying to shake the mist that had taken over her train of thought. Her mind recalled to a familiar distant voice laughing, talking about migraines, or something along those lines. Again, she could not be sure.
She had just reached the age of 18- how could she already have all the symptoms of a old lady? Dementia, constant backpain, fading vision... surely there had to be some more... logical explanation?
A roll of her eyes were followed with that thought. 'Logical'. Pffft. Logical-smogical. Interacting with Hannah for an extended period of time apparently had its own unique side-effects.
Stifling a giggle at her own thoughts, she had not noticed what, or who was in the living room with her, sitting on top of the luxurious velvet armchair.
" Crystal? "
Crystal could feel the hairs on her neck go rigid, herself jump ever so slightly. Who's there?!, was her initial thought before her brain properly registered the voice. Turning her head just far enough to the side, she easily found the source of the voice and let out a sigh of relief mixed with frustration.
" Hannah, don't scare me like that! " She put her hands on her hips, her emotions slowly showing on her face.
The other girl called Hannah, the one sitting on the armchair that is, couldn't help but give a smile. " By drinking tea? "
With this comment, Crystal felt herself pop back from her little world; back into reality. It was only then she noticed the little porcelain teacup in her sister's hand and all the various utensils used during brunch.
A sugar bowl, various types of teabags, different sizes of spoons that Crystal still couldn't name, a small glass jug that contained milk, and of course, a teapot. The designs on it matched the teacup Hannah was holding.
She also noticed a steaming cup of tea on a saucer on the coffee table, conveniently near a empty seat on the sofa. Hannah had perhaps finally perfected her mind-reading techniques, saying:
" Have a cup of tea with me! It's been a really long time since we last had a little hangout like this. "
Crystal agreed quite quickly at the suggestion. Indeed, she had missed spending time with her sister- she was always so, so, so, SO busy nowadays, though a part of her was skeptical at the invitation. Something about it felt off somehow. And in what way, she could not describe.
She pushed it out of her mind as she took her offered seat on the sofa, leaning forward to grab the teacup. Surely it was nothing. Right?
Nothing else.
================================================
...
================================================
Years later, I think back to that night. My eyes bore deep into that clock in her memory, I can see it circulating in the depths, a gentle 'tick!' ringing, between the hand and the hour.
Plunging deeper, a single teacup was there, the liquid still and cloudy. I could not see my reflection back: a warning sign, that I should not make any attempt to go deeper; there was only darkness and pure nothingess waiting for me.
Yet despite knowing the potential threat that was made to my wellbeing, I jumped in. There I saw, in the form of a loved one: it was only downhill from there.

𝓨𝓸𝓾'𝓻𝓮 𝓐𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓮, 𝓢𝓸 𝓐𝓵𝓲𝓿𝓮 𝓲𝓷 𝓜𝔂 𝓗𝓮𝓪𝓭 1
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Sirius Black x Marlene McKinnon
Fluff and angst
Warnings: mentions sexual themes, pregnancy, anxious feelings.
******
As footsteps pattered around clumsily downstairs, Marlene shot awake.
It was still dark, probably only three or so in the morning, she estimated, but that didn't stop anyone from getting post-alcohol munchies.
Especially if it was one of Sirius' friends.
Sirius.
She glanced down at his still form with a small smile, concluding that he was asleep, as the memories of the happy night before slowly trickled through her brain. She shifted softly to exit the tangle of sheets surrounding her, with long pauses in between each movement, so not to wake him.
It was to no avail; before she was halfway done, his warm arms enveloped her, pulling her down once more and into his embrace.
She opened her mouth to protest, but he clamped a hand over it, burying his head into her golden locks.
"You don't have to leave," he murmured into her hair, "it's only James."
"But-"
"But what?" he chuckled, his lips stretching into a fiendish grin as he pulled away to look at her. "Prongs knows we've loved each other since Hogwarts. He won't interrupt. Besides, he's absolutely smashed from last night."
"Alcohol or Lily?" Marlene asked, settling into his shoulder with a smirk.
Sirius paused to consider, letting out a low hum.
"I think mostly beer, but they might want a Harry 2.0. He might've got lucky." He chuckled.
"Not as lucky as you were last night though," Marlene joked, grinning widely at him.
"I think you'll find that you  were the lucky one, one of the blessed few-"
"Blessed few," Marlene snorted, "Tell that to three-quarters of the girls in our year. Sirius, you were Hogwart's H-"
"-to ever have the honour of being in the legendary Sirius Black's company for the night." Sirius finished, pressing a kiss to the bridge of her nose.
"And also being his favourite of all of them."
And so started a perfect day, they thought, with a series of soft, early morning kisses.
If only they knew just how downhill things would get from that day forth.
*******
Marlene tried not to think about the confrontation that would have to take place.
Even as the result papers rustled in her handbag, even as she walked past a mother on the street, running with a pram containing a crying child, and even as she viewed a window plastered with posters advertising naturopathic births.
Instead, she kept her mind on her work. On the smell of ale and butterbeer, the low noise of people's conversations, the taste of good, warm pub food on her lunch break.
However much she tried, she could never visualise that for more than a second before her thoughts returned to those damning papers in her bag. The results papers containing the bold, black word: POSITIVE.
And how she was sure that would shatter her relationship with Sirius.
Sure, Lily's pregnancy had been fine, and James had been a wonderful father to Harry. But everyone had known that they were soulmates, and that they would forever be perfect together, no matter what the world threw at them.
Her relationship with Sirius had never been like that. There had been luck, love, and wanting, but never had their been fate and circumstances that simply weaved together perfectly in their favour.
And that was why everything would fail.
Too soon, the red door to the Marauder's shared apartment appeared, setting her nerves fraying once more.
How could she explain her situation to him in this state?
"Afternoon, Marlene," A voice called cheerily behind her, and she spun to face Remus, unfortunately also back from his day working at Flourish and Blotts.
"Afternoon," She replied, willing her voice to not shake. Thankfully, it didn't, sort of.
"Are you. . . going in?" Remus asked hesitantly, eyeing her confused, "Or are you waiting for something? You seem reluctant."
"Oh yeah, definitely, I'm going in, it's just," Marlene floundered for an excuse, her eyes scanning the environment around her, and focusing on distant white flowers "I'm just admiring the asphodel."
"Peter's asphodel?" Remus questioned, seeming to suppress a grin.
"Yes," she answered, although it was more of a question at his sudden humour.
"The one you told him last week to pull out because it was the 'most damn ugly plant you'd ever seen, and you'd studied herbology, so  you knew some damn ugly plants'?"
"Your recall abilities make it very hard to lie, Remus," she grumbled, although part of her relaxed at his humour.
"And your lack of them make you a very horrible liar," he responded with an even wider grin, "Now, tell me, why aren't you going in?"
And it might've been the most stupid, awful thing to do, but Marlene couldn't handle the weight of her secret anymore.
She told him.
And felt terrible as he remained silent, terrible as every trace of humour Remus had had on his face vanished.
Finally, after careful consideration, it seemed, he spoke.
"Marlene," he began, gazing into her eyes with the wisdom of a king, "I appreciate so much that you trust me enough to tell me this - thank you. But you and I both know that I'm not the one you've got to tell."
"Yeah," was all she could utter.
"If you need any more help, remember that James, Peter and I - we're always here for you. I'm sure Sirius will understand - James did - but if he doesn't, then we'll support you, and as will Dorcas and Lily and Mary."
Marlene nodded, feeling numb inside as she and him steadily inched towards the door.
The red door opened, and with it, Marlene's door to emotions closed. Instead, a strong resolve and seriousness took over, and as she ventured in, she couldn't find it within herself to be frightened anymore.
*********
And quite simply, she told Sirius.
His reaction was not one she'd anticipated at all.
The moment she'd finished speaking, he'd picked up the essay he'd been writing - his application to become an auror - and began tearing the corner.
Their argument had started from there.
"Sirius, this is final, I won't let you do this," she said, deadly serious, "I won't let you sacrifice the fight, I won't stop one of the Order's greatest assets from helping us all survive over something like this!"
"Marlene, I don't care!" he retorted, "I won't fight if it means abandoning you! My duty as the father of this child is to be with it. And I want to do that. I want to be with you, helping you bring it up and keeping it safe."
"I can't let you do that," she said, her voice cracking, and tears beginning to well, "I can't let you give up on your dream just for me."
"You are my dream, Marlene," he said desperately, "you're the reason that I get up every morning, that I keep fighting."
She smiled at the ground; softly, sadly.
"You don't mean that," she whispered, her shattered eyes meeting his, "you love me, but you wake up for hope, the fight, for your family - James, Remus, Peter, Harry. And the fight is where you should rightfully be, not tending to me. You have so much to continue doing, Sirius, I'm just a little, unimportant label in your universe."
And in her eyes, he saw that she knew she could learn to believe that what she said was true. That she was willing to simply leave and forget in order for things to be easier for him. As if she was a pretty face he occasionally adored that he could discard at any point.
"I've been mates with James since I was eleven," he began, sighing, "and yet that was still the most stupid thing I think I've ever heard someone say."
Despite herself, Marlene began to laugh, tears cascading down her cheeks.
He stepped closer to her, snatching up her hands and squeezing them.
"We'll find a way for this to work," he said softly, "a way that we're both happy to do, an equilibrium of sorts. I promise."
And as they held hands, love flowing between them, they both allowed themselves to believe his words.

Andharban from Pune: A Close Getaway or a Distant Dream?
Tumblr media
Nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts would fall in love with a trek to Andharban Valley, an amazing forest adventure in the Sahyadri Mountain range of Maharashtra. The trek to Andharban looks like a sweet break from the chaos of the ever-busy city life for people from Pune. But is the 71.6 km distance of the Andharban Trek from Pune as simple as it sounds, or is it more challenging?
The Enchanting Andharban Valley
Andharban Valley is a nature lover’s ideal destination and its popularity lies primarily in its rich vegetation, beautiful plants and the peaceful sound of nature. No wonder, this place is called ‘Andharban’, a Marathi term for ‘Dark Forest’ since most of the route runs through dark forests. Langurs, squirrels, butterflies, and even leopards can be found in the Andharban Jungle which is teeming with wildlife. The massive tree trunks that rise from the virgin forest begin to stretch upwards as the eye gaze further up creating a painted light show in the process.
Getting to Andharban from Pune
At just 71.6 km from Pune, Andharban presents itself as a feasible weekend trek for those yearning for an outdoor adventure. The drive from Pune takes approximately two hours, making it easily accessible for an early morning start.
The Andharban Trek Route
For me, Andharban trek route has been one of the most enchanting sites in the Sahyadri range area.
Starting from Pimpri Dam, the Andharban trek distance is about 13 kilometres long and requires an initial descent into the valley. This is different from most treks, which tend to be uphill. And it therefore stands out. Every inch of the trek is a treat as it’s mostly downhill. The trek doesn’t only offer rugged terrains but also thick forests along with confluences of clear rivers and views of the Kundalika valley from different angles. To add to the pleasure of the trek, a cool breeze accompanies the sound of water gushing against the rocky mountains.
Highlights of the Andharban Trek Pune Experience
Here are the highlights of the Andharban Trek Pune experience
Dense forest trails: The Andharban Jungle doesn’t follow the characteristics of typical trekking routes. What I liked about it was the vast flourishing vegetation, which did prove to be an obstacle, but at the same time was amazing to look at.
Waterfalls and streams: Countless waterfalls are coming down the mountains and small streams run across the trail with the storms, so there are constant little waterfalls that break up the hike.
Flora and fauna: Andharban Valley does have a variety of plants, from herbs to ferns. Also, keen bird enthusiasts may expect to see curious birds such as the Malabar whistling thrush or the crested serpent eagle.
Breathtaking Scenery: The trail has great prospects of Tamhini Ghat and Kundalika Valley which are exceptionally breathtaking during the onset of the monsoon season when the lush green cover is at its peak.
The Trekking Packages
For those looking to embark on the Andharban trek from Pune, various trekking operators offer different packages: Find out the best packages of Universal Adventures:
Trek from Base Village: This 9-hour trek experience costs ₹999 per person and includes guided exploration starting from the base village.
Trek from Pune: For a more comprehensive package that includes travel from Pune, a 15-hour trek option is available at ₹1,599 per person. This package often includes transportation, meals, and expert guidance.
Conclusion
The Andharban from Pune trek is more than just a journey through the woods—it’s a step into an enchanting world that promises serenity and adventure. For those in Pune, Andharban is indeed a close getaway worth every moment spent planning and preparing. Whether you’re seeking the thrill of navigating through a dense jungle or the joy of discovering hidden waterfalls, the Andharban Valley awaits, turning the distant dream of the perfect outdoor experience into reality.

The pink hued sunset overcasting the atmosphere of Sumeru city caused the lively town square to turn into a soft romantic paradise filled with lovers, friends, and family. Every night the two of you, would walk to the Akademiya, the place you first met just to reconcile with the past mistakes the two made during their time studying together. It’s been different recently, after a long period of becoming friends the two of you slowly fell for each other, captivated by the others charm and ideals, and overall their way of life and beliefs. Nine months had flown by and the two got hitched, the september air slightly chilly compared to the normal dreaded heat of Sumeru. The leaves began to shed and the grass discolored. The two of you were inseparable, some would say it was true love that had grown in both of their hearts, pulling them together until they were bound to one another. Others say it was just the clashing of the two quite different personality’s, and yet the couple remained unscathed by the reality of life, they always thought that they would live a long and happy life together, that they would tear away from the restraints of pain and agony and find peace in each others embrace. Nobody can accomplish this goal however, and the life that they had started living slowly dragged downhill, until it had reached a breaking point.
It was around 9:00 am, You and Kavehs anniversary was tonight, and you two decided to go out later for dinner and take the rest of the day off, but of-course he got a call, and had to step into his office that morning. You didn’t think much of it that morning having just woken up, it was his job after all and you weren’t the one to stop him from completing his work that he worked on for days. He had completed a design for a large corporation recently and today he was going to turn it in and head back home so the two could relax and spend their anniversary together.
Kaveh grabbed his coat, he left his scarf and earrings on the coffee table as he was just going to stop by, his hair was tied up into a bun with a few stray strands of hair sticking out at the sides, you smiled at the man infront of you, his soft smile, his alluring red eyes… everything about him was perfect, and it had been a year since the two of you got married. Life had flown by easily, you two had even talked about children and animals, you were set.
“I’ll be home soon, I promise, and then we will have the rest of the day to ourselves.”
He said with a softer tone than usual, his voice dripping with pure emotion, it was obvious he had always been helplessly in love with you but ever since you got together it seemed as if his love grew more by the day, and this was true, he felt as if he couldn’t take his eyes off of you the moment you walked into any room, you were his shining star, his one and only, his wife. Kaveh kissed your cheek, his lips lingering against the soft skin for a moment before brushing a strand of hair away from you’re face, pushing it behind your ear and beginning to walk out the door, he waved before shutting it behind him, and he was off.
You watched him walk away from out of the kitchen window, a warm mug of coffee in your hands, he had made it for you this morning, he had always loved acts of affection no matter how small they were , and you were the same way. You watched as he walked off and slowly disappeared from your line of vision.
It was your anniversary, you should stop at the bakery and grab some breakfast for when he gets back..
You smiles at the idea that popped into your head and started to get ready, throwing on an extra layer of clothes and grabbing your keys, you and kaveh had his best friend had matching keychains, with a little lion on the end of them. You looked at the sweet face of the lion, it reminded you of him..
You walked out of the door and started to walk down the street to this bakery that you had heard good things about, the atmosphere of the city much more tense and crisp than usual, as if something was off, and yet you couldn’t put your finger on it.
That was until a few people you had known from your husbands work began running down the street, their faces distraught and panicked, their clothes burnt and coated in blood.
You felt your heart stop, the beating pausing for what felt like an eternity, you quickly turned to one of his co-workers and grabbed his wrist before he could run any further.
“What’s going on? Where is my husband.”
The co worker looked terrified and confused, his pupils dilated with panic..
“The - the building collapsed.. fire-..”
That’s all you needed to hear, your own eyes filling with the panic that had resembled your husbands co workers, the world suddenly stopped.
Your feet moved on their own, running back to your home with this feeling of dread overtaking your entire body, you desperately hoped he had made it home before this had happened- he had to have made it home he just had to.
You made it back home, the front door still closed and locked, no sign of him back at the residence, you fell to your knees, trying to think of what to do next, look for him at the site, ask around, or hope for the best, the vision of your husband in the building as it collapsed forcing itself into your brain, clawing at the seams until they broke open.
It had been a few days, and there was no sign of your beloved.
It had been another few days, no sign of Kaveh.
Thirteen days.
A knock on your door.

GENERAL MASTERLIST
SERIES MASTERLIST
<- Part 1
It was the next day after the traumatic event that just took place for all wizards and witches of different backgrounds. You still couldn't get over it, it still lingers in the air for you and you could tell that it had a huge impact on Harmonie and Harry as well. You couldn't blame them though, they both came from a muggle background and one of them had his parents killed by the man behind the Death Eaters. You try not to think of it as you got dressed, but it still was a heavy thought that you just ended up wearing a plain dark sea green sweater and plain jeans.
You enter the living room of the tent and everyone was there sitting around, the three older brothers were sitting on the couch and still looked battered from fighting off the Death Eaters last night. Hermione was sitting in one of the chairs and she was still visibly upset about the situation with the elf. Harry was sitting in the other chair that was provided with an unreadable look, and Ron was sitting on the rug by the coffee table upset at Harry for taking the last spot in the living room. Ginny was absent along with the twins and Mr. Weasley, but you figured the twins were at the table and Ginny might still be asleep or with Mr. Weasley in the kitchen. So you made your way to the table and you were right about the twins sitting there, however, you still weren’t sure about the whereabouts of Ginny and Mr. Weasley.
The twins' sat at the table with a tired look on their faces, it seemed like they didn’t get great sleep last night like everyone else, but their expressions quickly lightened up and were filled with a bit of energy when they saw you. “Morning,” They said in sync with a smile on their face.
“Morning, how did you two sleep?” You questioned the boys as you took one of the chairs, you flipped around so you could sit on it backwards but still be able to look at the two mischievous gingers before you.
George was first to answer, “It took me about a good solid two hours to sleep and I kept waking up at random times, but overall it was fine.” It took you by surprise for a second that George was first to answer since it was always Fred who first opened his mouth, but you just thought that Fred was a bit tired today.
“It was alright,” Fred simply said before shooting the question back to you on how well you slept.
“Mine was… I don’t know. I guess I slept well, but I had a nightmare about how I lost everyone in the crowd and no one was willing to help me… I just couldn't find you.”
“Not even good ol’ Mr. Perfect?” George questions you in a joking way to hopefully make you feel better and lighten up the mood, “What a shocker since it seems to me he fancied you.” You shake your head at George’s conclusion about Cedric and his feelings for you. “You shake your head and not believe me but trust me, Pretty Boy Cedric got something for you. I mean he was really-”
“George,” You quickly cut him off before he could go on to a tangent, “He doesn’t ‘fancy’ me, he’s smitten with someone that's also smitten with him. He’s just awkward and trying to be a good friend so drop it.”
“I don’t know, George might be right.” Fred shrugs siding with his twin brother. You roll your eyes, you may love him to death, but this was getting ridiculous. “Look, [Name]. If you look at it from our perspective, you will see that something is going on.” You shake your head and rub your temple, these sudden accusations about Cedric annoyed you a lot. You knew full well that there was nothing going on, Cedric might’ve been awkward around you guys because it’s his first time talking to you guys and he probably felt a bit timid considering most of the people in the group were rivaling Quidditch teams.
“Whatever, it’s like arguing with a brick wall. But if you ask me, you might want to stay away from Cedric in school or it might cause some issues. We can't have our best friend's hair being pulled out by his many different fangirls.” George concluded the conversation. You were about to protest but decided to drop it, you didn’t want to get into a bigger argument about such a stupid topic. The three of you sat in silence like everyone. You wondered if the others eavesdropped on the small little argument that just took place, now that would be awkward, especially with Hermonie's teasing nature towards you.
It was completely silent, not even Fred or George were cracking jokes, but thankfully it was broken by Ginny and Mr. Weasley exiting the kitchen with sandwiches prepared for the group to eat for breakfast. “Hurry up and eat everyone!” Mr. Weasley announces to the group, “We need to catch the next portkey!” After those words were announced, it went back to silence with the occasional sound of munching on the sandwiches that were made.
You all walked up to The Burrow and you were all greeted by Mrs. Weasley who was worried sick about everyone’s well-being. She quickly ran up to all of you and hugged and kissed you all on the cheek. “Oh, my Merlin! You don’t know how worried I was!” Mrs. Weasley yelled at the group before turning her focus on Bill, Charlie, and Percy. “And look at you three!”
“Mother, we’re fine-” Percy spoke up for the trio, but he was quickly silenced by Mrs. Weasley.
“I beg to differ! You three look like a mess!” Mrs. Weasley yelled at her oldest boys. Mr. Weasley had to quickly step in before she could bombard them with her worries and concern. However, it took her a good two minutes to calm down. But you couldn’t blame Mrs. Weasley for her extreme concern for the group, if you were in her position you would be reacting the same way. After Mrs. Weasley was calmed down, they all went inside. “Oh, I’m so sorry everyone! I forgot to go shopping for school supplies because of how worried sick I was for you all!” Mrs. Weasley panicked and quickly apologized to the teens attending the school for witches and wizards soon.
“It’s fine Mrs. Weasley. We could do it some other day.” Harry spoke up.
You nodded in agreement as you spoke up as well, “Yeah, and now that you mentioned it. I totally forgot to go school shopping earlier, so thankfully I could actually get it done with you guys.” You laughed nervously as you admitted your poor time management skills and procrastination. You swore two to three weeks ago to go school shopping but you just never did. You blamed it on taking care of the creatures but you knew full well that it was something that you subconsciously put off, which didn’t help you in the end when there wasn’t much time left in the holiday.
“Alright, we can go shopping the day after tomorrow.” Mrs. Weasley calmed down after hearing the words that came out of your and Harry’s mouths. You will soon come to regret opening up about how you never went shopping over the break since you knew about Ginny and Hermonie always teased about your procrastination, well, Ginny was more making fun of you type of way.
“[Name] I thought you would know better by now to not procrastinate school shopping, I thought you would’ve learned your lesson since this is the third time in a row.” Ginny made fun of you with a snicker.
“Third? I thought it was their fourth.” Hermione jumped in giggling. The twins started chuckling at the two girls teasing.
You rolled your eyes playfully. “Okay, okay. I get it, I need to work on myself.”
“You better or Cedric might lose interest after finding out how bad your procrastination is.” Ginny laughed, but you stayed silent, not even reacting to what she had said. Cedric . Cedric . Cedric . Cedric. Why does everyone think something is going on between you two? The only “romantic” thing you did was laying your head on his shoulders and him resting his head on yours? But he was trying to help you rest for a bit comfortably. You and Fred would do it sometimes, how come no one ever says anything about it? “You two are friends so it’s obviously platonic” was the answer you possibly would get if you questioned them about it.
If things couldn’t get any better, Fred jumped in. “Oh, they don’t need to worry or care about that. They’re adamant about Cedric not fancying them because he already fancies Cho and she fancies him. Plus, that he’s just an ‘awkward and caring’ person.” He air quoted “awkward and caring” and that was enough to say how he viewed the Hufflepuff.
“All of you are aggravating,” Was all that you murmured before rubbing your temple. Everyone cackled at your annoyance which pissed you off even more, and you were going to show them your anger by giving them the silent treatment for the rest of today and all of tomorrow. However, you knew that promise would be broken since you couldn’t ignore them for that long. You stormed up to the room that you were staying in and sat down on the mattress that you were sleeping on while you stayed at The Burrow. You needed a break from everyone’s constant bombarding with Cedric. Cedric this, Cedric that. It was infuriating. You rubbed your temple again to release some tension that was building up. It was a mindless habit that you had when you were upset about something, it often helped with releasing a bit of anger. You grabbed a book that your parent(s) gifted to you last Christmas from your suitcase. It was a book about dragons and how to take care of them. Hopefully, it would help with calming you down.
An hour or maybe longer had passed from when you first entered the room to get away from everyone. It was peaceful and silent, something that was rare at The Burrow but it would be broken by a sudden knock at the door and a voice that cooed from the other side, “Oh, [Name].” You immediately knew it was Fred and he let himself into the room since he knew he wouldn’t get a message to come in right now. He walked up to the mattress and lay down, putting his head onto your lap so he wasn’t that easy to ignore. “Are you still mad at me?” He pouted, the tone of his voice reminded you of a toddler that just got yelled at.
You tried your best to ignore him by continuing reading your book but Fred snatched the book out of your hands, so you could put your full focus on him. “You’re still mad about us picking on you?” He sat up and turned his body towards you, but in that short time, you didn’t give him a response. “I’m taking that as a yes. [Name], you know we are just messing with you. We know that Cedric really doesn’t fancy you, we’re just trying to have fun.” He apologized to you on the behalf of everyone. “Speaking of fun, why are you stuck up here reading a book when you could be having fun with us by playing Quidditch with us?” He wraps his arm around you. You turned the other way to face away from Fred to hide the smile that was fighting its way to appear on your lips. “[Name]! You can’t ignore me forever!” Fred whines before tickling your sides. You tried to hold in your laughter but you just couldn’t.
“Okay, okay!” You blurted out, a wide smile appeared on your blushing face. You jokingly try to push Fred away to make him stop but he keeps ongoing. You both were a laughing mess.
Fred eventually stopped with his nonsense and looked you dead in the eye. “Are you still mad at us? Me?” He questions you with a joking pouty face that you couldn’t help but giggle at.
“I don’t know…” You jokingly answered, he threw his head back and placed a hand over his heart then clenched his shirt dramatically.
“Oh, [Last Name]! You hurt me so much!” Fred laughed as he recovered from his dramatic stunt.
“But fine, I guess I forgive you… and the others.” You finally forgave him, or you guessed them, seriously.
“So that means you’ll play Quidditch with us instead of having your nose deep in a book like ‘Mione?”
“Maybe… But I feel like I’m a bit rusty. I never got to play any Quidditch over summer break.”
“Tsk, tsk [Name]. You’re always procrastinating, aren't you?” You rolled your eyes at Fred’s words. “No matter though, you’re just giving the other team a winning chance.” You two started laughing again. You enjoyed little moments like these, and you honestly needed it, especially after such an event happened just last night. After the laughing fit was done, he got up from the mattress and grabbed your hand to drag you down to the orchard where a makeshift Quidditch ground stood. Ginny, Charlie, Bill, Harry, George, and Ron all stood in the pit as they waited for you guys. You figured that Hermonie was just going to watch from the sidelines and help keep track of points, and you already knew that Percy was cooped up in his room dealing with work for the ministry.
“It’s about time you guys came!” Charlie hollered at you and Fred from where he stood. The stance he took looked a bit intimidating and it didn’t make it any better when he had one of the beater sticks in his hand. “I thought we were going to start without you two!” You two quickly jogged over to the group so you didn’t keep them waiting. While you two were jogging you almost tripped over Crookshanks and Brutus that were running away from the gnomes. You honestly thought they would’ve learned their lesson by now on to not mess with them, but you thought wrong.
You two finally made it to the pit, where a box was presented with the different balls used during Quidditch, but you notice that the snitch was nowhere to be seen in the box. You keep forgetting that you and the twins were the reason for the missing snitch two years ago when you visited them. You three still hope that one day it magically shows up and you don’t care how it might show up, it could fly right into someone’s head you all will be grateful that it finally has been caught.
“Okay, everyone. Charlie and I are the captains and that means we’re picking who we want on our team!” Bill announces to the group, you already knew that this was going to be unfair.
“You guys as captains and choose! That’s unfair!” Ron protested to his older brothers but it fell on deaf ears.
“And thanks to some people losing the snitch,” Bill looked at you and the twins before turning his attention to the whole group, “We won’t have any seekers, which helps out in the end since we don’t have many people.” Once Bill got done announcing to the group how things were going to be, he and Charlie played rock, paper, and scissors to show who gets to pick first. It took five rounds before Charlie was named victorious.
Charlie looked at the group deciding who he should take. “I want [Name] to be my chaser!” He made his decision and announced this to the group. This would go on for a good seven to nine minutes for the teams to get into order, and you could already tell who was going to win. Charlie’s team consisted of you being the chaser, him and George as the beaters, and Ginny as the keeper. Bill’s consisted of Harry as the chaser, Ron and Fred as the beaters, and Bill as the keeper. Ron complained a few times about the unfairness of the two teams, with Charlie’s team as a whole but he was quickly silenced by Fred questioning what he meant by those words.
Before the game could commence, they quickly went over the rules that were modified to fit this situation. You all got on to your brooms and got into proper position, you all waited for Bill to whistle as a way to signal that the game had started.
The sun was about to set and the game had finally ended when dinner was announced by Mr. and Mrs. Weasley. The game ended with an unknown winner, both teams claim that they had won but even Hermonie didn’t know who won since she lost track of the points twenty minutes in. Everyone was tired and some even had bruises and dirt spread across their bodies. Quidditch was an unsafe sport especially when you have people from the most competitive houses that would do anything to win.
The dinner was set outside like the day before the Quidditch World Cup. Crookshanks was still playing with the gnomes while Brutus laid down beside your feet, tired from messing around the gnomes with Hermonie’s cat. At the table, everyone was arguing as to who won the game exactly. Percy was irritated about the argument that took place, it gave him a bigger migraine with eight people yelling at each other about the game. Mrs. Weasley was also getting quite annoyed about the bickering that was going on. “Can you all please settle down?” Mr. Weasley called out to the group in a polite tone, however, it didn’t die down.
“If you guys keep this up, you’re all not getting any ice cream!” Mrs. Wealsey calls out in a more harsher tone than Mr. Wealsey to the group. You all were quick to go silent at the threat of a sweet cold treat not being served to you guys thanks to your bickering. “Thank you.” Mrs. Weasley huffed out. She was rubbing her temple as a way for her muscles to relax from being tense thanks to everyone’s loud arguing.
“We’ll settle this tomorrow, we’ll rematch!” Charlie announced which caused Mrs. Wealsey and Percy to groan out in annoyance: they could already tell that even with a rematch, the arguing will just continue.
“How about we just not play Quidditch for the rest of the week?” Mr. Weasley questioned the group, trying to avoid any more conflict between the two teams and of course him and his beloved wife and son. However, such a simple question would create a bigger conflict as the two teams started to protest against the idea. The three outsiders then just gave up on trying to get you all to stop with your nonsense.
It was the day to finally go to Diagon Alley for school shopping. There was still tension in the group after Charlie’s team won by just a point, but Bill’s team always argue that it doesn’t count since they were distracted by Mrs. Weasley announcing dinner.
Everyone was dressed in their robes and you and the twins stuck out like a sore thumb due to you three being the only Slytherins in the cozy house. You all stood in a line as Mrs. Weasley handed you guys some Floo powder. You weren’t looking forward to using Floo powder, especially after the chaos of the Portkey: you just can’t get that sinking feeling out of your stomach after using that transportation method. You just couldn’t wait to turn eighteen so you can take Apparate classes and never have to rely on those two methods for transportation ever again, or so you hope.
“Now, Harry this time speak LOUD and CLEARLY!” Mrs. Weasley instructed Harry, you forgot about the time that Harry fumbled on his words and got transported to some completely different place, sure he was found, but who knows if he’ll fumble on his words badly and end up in some other country. Harry just nodded at Mrs. Weasley's instructions. Fred went first, then Geroge, and then it was your turn.
You stood in the fireplace with a handful of Floo Powder in your left hand. “Diagon Alley!” You shouted and dropped the powder to your feet, as you dropped it you were engulfed in a green flame and you were gone from the fireplace and were instead in a fireplace of a pub in Diagon Alley where ashes filtered all around you. You turned into a coughing fit, thanks to the ashes, as you walked over to the twins that were waiting for you and everyone else at a table. You started to dust some of the remaining ashes off of you, trying not to do it so rough so you don’t make it worse. “Finally getting used to traveling by Floo Powder?” Fred questioned you. When you first visited the Weasley’s you couldn’t quite stick the landing when traveling through this method but after doing it for a while when you’re with them, you started to get the hang of it.
“Yeah, I guess-” A cough that emitted from your mouth cut your sentence off, when you were sure you were done you continued your sentence, “Yeah, I guess I finally am.”
“About time.” George chuckled as you sat down beside Fred.
Soon Ron came through the fireplace along with Hermoine and Harry, after the trio came Ginny and of course, Mrs. Wealsey was last. Ron was in the same predicament as you when it came to ashes all around his body, but it seemed like what he thought was helping was the complete opposite. “Ron, stop doing that! You’re just making it worse!” Hermoine scolded the ginger.
“Sorry that I don’t want to be walking around looking like a buffoon with ashes all over me!” Ron yelled back as his brows furrowed at the girl with curly brown hair.
“You’ll just look like a bigger buffoon with those stains!” Soon the group had to wait while Mrs. Wealsey had to help clean up Ron. You all just wished that Ron would’ve just left the ashes alone so you didn’t have to wait this long just to go shopping. Once the two were finished, you all walked out onto the streets of Diagon Alley which had many witches and wizards that were also shopping a bit later. A certain wizard stood amongst the crowd: Cedric Diggory. The perfect young wizard was doing last-minute shopping since he had horrible time management skills which he needed to work on to keep up the image of him being Prefect and captain of Hufflepuff that everyone admires. Plus, he needed to work on it since he was taking N.W.E.T. classes and he needed a good working schedule so he wasn’t suffocating from the heavy amounts of work, however, there was a third reason that was developing. You, specifically to impress you and how you could rely on him for help on assignments. Speaking of you, he caught a group of redheads in the corner of his eyes. He knew full well that it was the Weasleys, they were a family that you just couldn’t miss with their fiery orange hairs. Then he spotted you in the group. You were laughing and by the looks of it, it was because they were cracking jokes about Ron who was red in the face. He couldn’t help but admire you for a second as the world stopped for him. It would resume when you and your group went into a shop, he didn’t bother to read what the store was. He just had to pursue after you.
He entered the store only to be greeted by rows upon rows of books, he quickly knew that he was in Flourish and Blotts. Just his luck. He started looking through the aisles but he knew it was useless, so he climbed up the stairs to have a better look at the first floor, but when he peered over the railing, he couldn’t catch a glimpse of you; instead, he could only see Ron and Harry. Thus he started searching through the aisles of the bookshelves looking for you. His mind started to wonder at the possible surprised and excited look on your face when he purposely bumps into you since he didn’t want to seem creepy just coming up to you in public like this. Very ironic really. He was trying to prepare for the encounter and how he’ll start the conversation, but he wasn’t prepared right there and then when he accidentally bumps into the person he’s been looking for. You. He looked down at you, and he froze. He was trying to collect his thoughts to try and produce a sentence, but all that came out was a messily “sorry”. “It’s fine, none of us are hurt hopefully,” You laughed as you accepted his apology.
“Ye…yeah,” Cedric murmured, letting out a breathy chuckle. “How have you been holding up?” Cedric questions you, gaining back some confidence. However, he didn’t gain anything as he stood there, his mind was racing with the scenario of you two talking.   “I’ve been… alright.” You paused as you tried to find the right words to put how you were feeling after such an event, how you really couldn’t think straight, especially without the presence of him there. “It’s just that I’ve been a little lonely. Sure Fred and George kept me company, but sometimes they can be quite the bullying gits. You know?”
Cedric nodded in understanding, seeing how the twins didn’t spare anyone from their mischievous wrath. “Yeah. I bet they can be a bit harsh,”
“Yeah… I feel like I need someone a bit more… compassionate? Like…” You paused as you looked at him before looking away out of embarrassment. “Nevermind. How have you been?”
“The same as you, but minus the two gingers constantly pestering me with jokes and pranks.” He answered with a little giggle at the end and you joined him. “Not many of my friends came to visit me or wrote to me to see how I’ve been.”
“What about Cho?” The way you said Cho’s name sounded like you and her have been sworn enemies forever.   “Not even her…” The answer caused a smile to appear on your lips hearing that you were the only one concerned for his well-being.
You looked at the brunette that was in a daze, it seemed like he suddenly froze up. It was very out of character for him. Sure, he was awkward but he still could hold up a conversation unlike what’s going on here. “Hey… are you alright Cedric?” You waved your hand in front of him, it was a little awkward that you even had to do this in the first place. “You kinda froze up on me.”
Cedric jumps at your sudden movement. He finally was able to break away from his enchanted daydream.
“O-oh! So sorry! I was thinking of something!” Cedric blurted out, he started to try to think of something to lie about that caused his odd behavior.
“It’s fine, but uh, I gotta get going. The others and I have a lot of shopping to do,” You spoke up as you started to walk away from the boy, “See you at school!”
“Yeah!” Cedric yelled out as he watched you walk off. A smile was on his lips for a second when you bid your farewell, but the smile would disappear when you vanished into the crowd; leaving him in the dust just like that. He was going to kick himself later that night for not even raising a question to you if he could tag along, but he might as well “observe” you from the sidelines as you have fun with everyone that wasn’t him. Such bitterness will stick with him forever and he probably will never get rid of it.
You looked at the books that you have purchased. There were normal, by wizarding standards, textbooks for your upcoming classes that’ll probably make you fall into a pit of stress. Then there were some books that you purchased for your pleasure and to enjoy during your leisure or to pass the time. You knew Fred and George were going to start teasing you any second now seeing the books that you have purchased, it was just in their nature to tease you about everything and anything. “Are you seriously going to be digging your nose in books all year long?” Fred teased you as he popped up out of nowhere on your right side.
“Won’t you get tired of reading after reading your textbooks?” George then teased as he popped up out of nowhere like Fred, but was on your left side.
“Ha, ha, ha.” You faked laugh at their nonsense, “Well, reading will be the only thing that’ll help pass the time.”
“What are we not good enough for you?” The gingers asked you in sync.
“Getting to that point,” You jokingly answered and they both pouted and started whining about how much you hurt their feelings with your words.  “Well, what about Cedric? Don’t you have him to talk to? I mean you and him were talking for good while in Flourish and Boltts.” George said. You were surprised that they saw you and Cedric “talking”.
“We weren’t talking, it was more or so Cedric being absent-minded and I getting slightly uncomfortable.” You corrected George about the odd conversation with Cedric. “Besides I don’t know Cedric that much and he’s probably just trying to be nice by checking up on me, even though he dazed off.” You murmured to the last part.
“Yeah, sure.” That was what all Fred had said about the topic at hand.“
It has been a week since your last awkward encounter with Cedric. It was about time to get to Platform 9¾ to catch a ride on the Hogwarts Express to get to, obviously, Hogwarts and catch up with all your friends that didn’t come with you, the Weasleys, and the two muggles of the big group.
Mrs. Weasley was going to be taking the group since Mr. Weasley was too busy that day dealing with Ministry work, so it would be easier for Harry and Hermonie not to be constantly bombarded with questions if the outfits looked muggle enough or not. Sure, Mrs. Weasley will ask them if they do look like muggles or not, but never to the degree that Mr. Weasley takes it. According to both Harry and Hermonie, we look Muggle enough: they said the luggage that we have with us right now will just look like we’re just people on holiday and now are returning to where they originally lived. After situating yourselves, you all quickly hurry over to the muggle world so you don’t miss the train and avoid getting wet from the rain.
The rain poured and poured as you all tried to grab your suitcases and trunks out of the cab's trunk, it was all going well until a certain ginger's bag combust with fireworks shooting all around them. "What the bloody hell Fred!" You yelled at Fred through your gritted teeth yet he seemed more worried about the lost profit than getting in trouble. So much for trying to blend in with the Muggles.
"It's not my fault!" Fred yells back at you as he tries to make the fireworks stop. The taxi driver at that point looked upon the chaotic scene of three teens trying to make fireworks that were coming out of a suitcase to stop while in the rain; he looked like he was almost about to pass out.
"Fred, why didn't you put it in one of the trunks!? We're trying to sneak them in, not get caught by all of King Cross!" George yells at his twin just like you.
After twenty seconds, the fireworks stopped and the trio continued their unloading while throwing snarky insults at one another, mainly towards Fred for his foolish mistake. Once they took the last thing out of the cab and closed the doors, the car sped off for very obvious reasons like to get away from the weird teens. They regrouped with the others and had to listen to Mrs. Weasley rant about how irresponsible they were and that she would be checking all their stuff before they got on the train. You only hoped that the twins hide their gags well.
You load your things on the trolleys like everyone else and rush towards the entrance of the platform of 9¾. You all had an interesting way to get in, some ran straight for it while some acted sly while doing it so no one questioned why a group of people disappeared through a wall. You and the twins were obviously the sly ones since it was just in your joking and mischievous nature. You three leaned on the wall waiting for the right moment to slide right into the entrance when it started getting a bit more crowded in the muggle train station the three of you slid right in blending in with the crowd walking or rushing to their next destination. The trio of misfits ran through a short tunnel before they reached Platform 9¾, the place was filled with students bidding their families farewell or joining their friends that they haven’t seen all holiday. The twins and you were the second option as you three spotted a group of misfits just like yourselves; the group consisted of: Lee Jordan who was a Gryffindor who shared the same love for pranks as the twins, Angelina Johnson was also a Gryffindor but was tamer than Lee however she is still quite a competitive person, Isla Tay was a fellow Slytherin who was Singaporean-Scottish with tan skin and black shoulder-length hair that have a pair of round brown eyes to match, Nadia Hassan was a black girl with hazel eyes and a blue hijab with star rhinestones scattered throughout it from Ravenclaw and was also from Welsh, and José Rodriguez was a Mexican transfer student in Hufflepuff and he looked similarly to Isla but he had a Shaggy beard going on and wore a yellow beanie over his hair that slightly resembles Cedric's.
Lee was first to see you guys and his face immediately lit up like the sun. "Hey, you guys!" He shouted waving his arms in the air excitedly. His excitement caught the rest of the group's attention and turned to who he was exactly calling out for and once they saw it was you guys, they ran up to you three.
"Oh, my Merlin! It's been forever!" Isla yells and she pulls you into a hug. "I wrote to you all holiday long," You laughed at her enthusiasm as you hugged her back.
"I know but I still miss you!" Isla lets go of you as her smile grows brighter like Lee's. Besides the twins, you were closer to Isla out of everyone in the friend group which would make a lot of sense since you two met when you both were first years riding the train to Hogwarts so it was almost like fate that you two would be best friends and similar.
You eight chatted for a bit before it was announced that the train was leaving soon, so you and the twins had to separate from the group for a second to go bid farewell to Mrs. Weasley. While you were with your group of friends, a certain "perfect" boy was watching from afar squinting his eyes with bitter jealousy. Cedric was with his group of his friends, they were talking about some random thing that he only guessed was Quidditch related, he didn’t know since he could care less about the topic since he was focused on the animal that was in his jacket and on an individual that has been plaguing his mind for the last weeks. He felt more at ease with them than with Cho who he is supposed to love and cherish with all of his heart, but it seems that you were the true owner of his heart. He deemed that you two were on a sustainable basis with how you two were during the Quidditch World Cup, but he thought there were some minor setbacks due to him daydreaming right in front of them about having a conversation with them while trying to converse with them, irony at its finest. However, this young man has hope for this year. You two might have a lot of classes with each other and play Quidditch with you, plus, if he is really lucky you two would train and study with each other.
Cedric's teeth gritted behind his closed mouth and his hands were forming fists as he saw how you seemed so happy with everyone that wasn’t him. "How does that sound Ced?" A friend of his questioned him all of a sudden. Cedric turns to the friend that was questioning him and tries to calm down.
"What were you asking? I blanked out." Cedric made up an excuse to his friend so he wasn’t agreeing to something he would regret later.  "I was asking if you wanted to join us in our usual cabin instead of the Prefects," the friend answers, he and the rest of the group looked at Cedric with confusion: Cedric blanking out and not being in conversation was such a foreign concept to them and many other people. "You alright Ced? You never are usually this quiet or blank out."
"I'm alright just tired and I guess I'm still a bit shaken up about what happened during the Quidditch World Cup," Cedric lies before answering the other question, "But I have to stay with the other Prefects, but maybe we can sit together when we ride to train home." His answer was a let down to the group, but to Cedric, it helped him a lot, for he could easily slip away from the Prefects cabin and check up on you and possibly converse with you more.
You bid Mrs. Weasley a farewell with the others then walked back to your friend group and headed towards your usual cabin until the trio of girls stopped the group and hurried everyone to a cabin. "Why aren't we sitting in our usual spot?" Lee asks the two, just as confused as everyone else.
"We made it just in time," Was all that Nadia said as she waved her hands to signal the group to quickly sit down. She sat right by the window and peers put in the hall, almost like she was waiting for someone.
"What is this all about, guys?" José was now the one to question the girls as he sat down opposite Nadia.
Isla hurried to sit down right next to Nadia and look out in the hall as well. "Just wait, he might be coming soon!" The others just sat down in confusion. José sat in the middle of you and Fred on the right side of the cabin, Lee also sat on the right side by Fred and the window. On the left side: Angelina sat in between Isla and George. The eight of you watched for the hallway since there was someone special coming aboard soon.
As people start getting on the train you notice that Marcus Turner was the first to enter the cabin across from yours, while most of the group only knew him for being Ravenclaw's Prefect. Then Arthur Goodrich, Gryffindor's Prefect, enters. Things were starting to click between the group as to why they were seated there. Nora Cunningham, Slytherin's Prefect, enters the cabin as well. It was only a matter of time until the man of the hour entered the cabin.
The Hufflepuff Prefect walked down the narrow, ruby aisle of the train just to get to the Prefect cabin. It seemed that in every cabin he passed he couldn’t see you, only girls fawning over him. He felt hopeless. He felt that he might’ve passed you or you were further back. "Is this all about Diggory? Then let me tell you ladies something, [Name] and Cedric- Ow! What was that for [Name]!?" He heard a voice near the Prefects cabin, it was one of the twins. He started to feel hope again, as he quickened his pace. He looked at the cabin across from the Prefects and saw you sitting in between your friends. One of the twins was rubbing his shoulder as he glared at you, the boys were snickering at the scene while the girl gawked at Cedric.
"Hey, [Name]," Cedric spoke up with a smile gleaming on his face. He truly made the right choice picking to sit with the Prefects instead of his friends, maybe his intuition is getting better.
"Hey, Cedric." You greeted back with a faint smile and a small wave. Lee and the other twin cooed at you in a joking manner which caused you to glare at the two.
"See you at Hogwarts and if you need anything, I'm just across from you," Cedric said, sending a small wink towards you before closing the door to your cabin and entering the Prefects with a big smile and proud of himself for being what he deemed sly.
You sat there flabbergasted along with the others. "He doesn’t ‘fancy’ me, he's head over heels for some other girl," Fred said mockingly and made a horrible impression of you thus earning him a smack to the arm by you.
"He was probably just joking around-" You tried to defend Cedric but were cut off by Nadia.
"Friends wink at each other?"
"Yeah, I'm pretty sure we all did it to one another as a joke at one point besides you." You argued and you were right. The group, besides Nadia, has winked at each other in some way as a joke or a friendly manner. It was odd though that Cedric would wink at you since the two of you weren’t that close, but you chalked it up to just him feeling comfortable around you.   Angelina spoke up wanting to get some answers on how someone like Cedric was friends with you. "Okay, now I genuinely need to know what happened during the holidays. No offense [Name], but how did you and Cedric become so close? The two of you never talked, I'm pretty sure he didn't even know you existed all these years or I guess he knew a bit about you since you both played Quidditch, but still."
"We talked a lot when going to the Quidditch World Cup and during it," You answered with a plain answer, but you knew one of the twins was going to pipe up.
"And don't forget after when you were lying your head on his shoulders and he was all smiling and giddy over it!" Fred spoke up before his brother could.
"Fred and I kept teasing them about it when we got home how he fancy them, but they keep on denying it saying that he's just an awkward guy that's also comfortable around them and that he’s smitten over Cho so he couldn’t possibly like them." George carried on. The rest of the group looked as though they weren't believing what they were hearing, they wouldn't believe what the twins were saying if it weren't for how you were acting when the twins would tease you about Cedric plus with how you and Cedric seemed comfortable around each other.
Isla broke the small silence, "You know how many people would want to be you?" You only rolled your eyes at her words. "If I were you I would be like 'yeah, he fancies me and I'll be a better partner than Cho'," Isla said in a sassy way. Now you couldn’t believe what you were hearing. Things just keep repeating themselves.
Soon the train began to leave, people were yelling from the train their last farewells to their families before going off to Hogwarts. Of course your group waved goodbye to their own families, before sitting back down. "Why aren't you guys respectful towards Cho?" You questioned the group.
"What do you mean?" Isla questions you.
You furrowed your brows at your own best friend, you were also in a state of disbelief of how she and possibly the others don't see anything disrespectful. You sighed, "nothing, nevermind." You weren't just going to kill the whole mood just like that and go on a rant about respecting other people. And just after that sentence, the group continues to joke about the situation, even Fred who you thought apologized to you like a week ago. This was ridiculous, utterly ridiculous. Yet, you acted as if nothing was wrong to not disturb the atmosphere; however, you knew the twins will bug you about how all of a sudden you're now joking about it once you guys get to Hogwarts.
After some time had passed the group dropped the jokes about Cedric and you, they moved on to other stuff like how everyone’s summers were. José seemed to be full of nonsense with his pet dog that looked like it was one sneeze away from passing. Angelina's was full of training for Quidditch so she can be Gryffindor's Quidditch team's Captain. Isla was of course writing to you, but also traveling around with her family since they wanted to see a few landmarks that Muggles always go crazy about. Nadia said she didn't do much besides really reading and cooking. Lee said he has been binge watching all of the Quidditch World Cups but also has been trying to practice playing Quidditch even though he really has no desire to play for a team, he just wanted to get better at it so he could play with you guys. All of the descriptions of the holidays were pretty average and boring to say but you couldn’t really say anything since up until going to the Burrow, you have just been taking care of magical creatures.
Soon the topic shifted to the twins and the mischievous things they had planned that year and there was going to be the grand one near the end of the year that will end the school year with a bang, and according to Fred it quite literally will end with a bbang. The two tried to tie Angelina in on it since she was the only one in the group, but she didn't budge not one bit. "Nope, unlike you guys I have to make sure that I stay on my best behavior so I can be captain!" Angelina protested.
"So? You can still be captain and pull pranks with us." Lee tried to convince her.
"No evidence, No crime." José also tried to convince her.
"We all will literally help to cover up if you were part of it!" Nadia pleaded.   "Besides, you need to loosen up and this is the best way." You chimed in.
"You guys are insufferable," Angelina rubbed her temple and sigh, "fine…"  Angelina finally gave in and everyone in the group cheered at their victory, it was loud to the point they didn't notice the door abruptly opening. Then an audible clear throat sound tried to compete with the wild teenagers' antics. That was when the group looked at who interrupted their fun. They all collectively thought it was the Ravenclaw's Prefect since it was obvious that he never once liked them and them being loud in the cabin right next to the Prefects was asking for trouble, but it wasn't him to your guys' surprise. It was Cedric. The group soon started to snicker and look at you in a teasing way.
"Hogwarts… uh," Cedric gulps a little before trying to continue his sentence, "Hogwarts wants Prefects to start checking up on people on the train, so uh, do you all have your stuff in order?" Cedric was trying to lie about the fact that he just wanted to see you, but in his mind his voice was more confident and he didn't stammer a lot. "Also, Marcus wants you all to q-"
"Quiet down we know," George mumbles a little tired to hear the name of the Ravenclaw's prefect.
"You tell that sod-" Fred was about to yell something that would get you all in trouble if it weren't for Angelina kicking his leg, not hard but hard enough for Fred to get the message to close his mouth.
"You know you can take [Name] with you, they probably wouldn't mind." Isla said teasingly mostly towards you.
"I swear to Merlin, I HATE you so much." You grumbled at Isla and emphasized the "hate". Cedric was a bit hurt to hear you say this after one of their friends teased you about him, did you not want to see him? His grip on the door tightened and his teeth gritted against each other at the idea of you not enjoying his overall company. "Cedric, you should finish checking up on other students, if you spend another second here these guys' idiocy will rub off onto you." Was all you said before the whole cart went into silence just glare at you. While everyone else was glaring at you, Cedric gave out a little chuckle and waved you farwell. He closed the door. Maybe it was because you were embarrassed of your friends as to why you were so hesitant to talk to him. Cedric thought as he felt like he cracked some sort of unsolved ancient mystery. What also thrilled him was that it seemed that you also have a slight dislike for your own companies, which was far from the truth in reality, so he felt like he didn't have to worry about replacing you friends since it would be done in a snap of his fingers.
He walked into the Prefects' cabin and sat down with the other people that were looked up to at Hogwarts. "They shouldn't be a bother for now," Cedric informs the group about the noisy group. Everyone seemed to take in count of his words and carried on to the previous conversation, but the Ravenclaw didn't buy any of his words; however, he would carry on the conversation with the others leaving Cedric almost alone in his own thoughts. He can only imagine that once you and he were at the school of witchcraft, you two had the same classes. "What a coincidence!" You say as you look at the brunette's schedule. It seemed that they were the same papers if it weren't for the names of who they belonged to.
"I know right! I guess we can be study partners for now on!" Cedric said beaming with joy at you two being together for a whole year.
"Maybe we can also be Quidditch partners since my other friends are so annoying and it seems that I won't be able to see them most of the time this school year, which is lucky me because you are so much better than them."
"Oh please! [Name], I know I'm great, but you don't have to say it out loud!"
"Oh? I thought Hufflepuff's were supposed to be humble?"
"Maybe I'm not like other Hufflepuffs." You and Cedric would laugh at the irony being displayed by Cedric with him not fitting the exact mold that everyone thought he fit in.
"I feel like a bit of me rubbed off on you then," You laughed even more, "or I guess Mr. Perfect isn't so perfect. Not complaining though." You would not care if he wasn't the perfect boy that everyone, even his family, views him as. It made him feel more comfortable to be around you and relax more… he can be himself and you wouldn't care like the others. He doesn't have to feel the heavy burden around you like he does with others. You two would then talk and talk. He would even show you his familiar named Arthur that he takes everywhere he goes since it brings him comfort.
A smile was starting to plaster on Cedric's face and he was trying his best to hide it, but it was proving to be a difficult task. He tried to hide it by placing his hand on his face with his fingers trying their best to cover up the spots that made it obvious he was smiling. He leaned away from the group and towards the wall where his body rested. "Tired Diggory?" Arthur questioned Cedric. Cedric answered with a nod and a fake yawn, he closed his eyes to make it seem like he was taking a quick little nap. Then Cedric got the most brilliant idea ever: if he just pretended he lost something when everyone was nearly gone, he could seek you down and ask for your help when they reached Hogwarts. He wished he could give himself a pat on the back for the idea, but he couldn't due to the people around him would be judging him harshly.
"You guys are ridiculous! Fred, I thought you and the others were 'sorry' about making fun of me and Cedric?" You yelled at the group, mostly Fred. It's almost as if the twins forgot that they apologized to you days ago about the events. All of this made you frustrated. "Now I know to not trust you or any of your apologies again." You turned your body away from the group so that your body showed the distaste in the group at the moment. That's what you wanted to do in front of the group for doing what they did, but you didn't. You didn't want to kill the mood, so you just have to sit in silence and accept the fact that your friends are going to keep teasing you about this even though you don't like it at all.
Fred threw his arm around you as he teased you some more along with the others. "Aww, you're so adorable when you pout!" Was what blurted out and you began to become livid and you felt your cheeks and ears becoming warm.
"Knock it off!" You stuttered out of embarrassment and elbowed his side.
"AY!" Fred yelped as he held his side.
An old woman with a cart walked the narrowed aisle of the train. She stopped by every cabin to see if any of the children on the train wanted anything to snack on during the journey to the mystical school. It was very rare for students to not buy anything from the cart. For the case of Cedric, he missed it because he fell asleep while his delusions of you and him were getting the best of him. On the other hand, you with the others purchased a bunch of candies that can be categorized as joke candies with Bertie Bott's Every Flavor Beans, Sound Sweets, and Exploding Bonbons being laid out in front of the laughing misfits.
You took a bean out of a cartridge before you and hoped that whatever color you picked would be one of the ones where the bad choice wouldn't be unpleasant. A yellow bean laid in the palm of your hand and you groaned. There was a chance of it being a pleasant taste of lemon or the ghastly taste of earwax. You took a deep breath in as you prepared yourself for the worse. "C'mon [Last Name]! Hurry up and eat it!" Jośe edged you to quickly eat it.  You shot a glare at him. "Oh, you can have time to prepare, but not me?" You sighed and just threw the candy into your mouth and chewed, you closed your eyes tightly to prepare the punch of flavors. Then a distaste filled your mouth and you immediately opened your eyes at the disgusting candy that was in your mouth.
"Ha! You got earwax!" Nadia laughed at you along with everyone else while you struggled to eat the candy since there was nowhere to spit it out.
In the cabin next door Marcus stared in disgust at the cabin next to them. He was upset that such disruptive teens were seated right next to them. He quickly got up and was about to throw the door open before a tired Cedric stopped him. He woke up a moment ago due to the commotion that Turner was upset about, but Cedric was more upset then the Ravenclaw since his dreams were sadly interrupted. "Wait, let me talk to them. They'll just only be louder if you go to them since they hate you." Cedric yawned and rubbed his eyes tiredly as he got up. Marcus only huffed and rolled his eyes before sitting back down and letting Cedric handle this. Cedric was about to open the door of the cabin of misfits until it was swung open by you.
"I'm going to get some Fudge Flies and more bonbons!" You called back to the group before bumping into Cedric. You didn't even notice his presence, but that could possibly be looking behind you towards the group. "Oh, so sorry Cedric!" You quickly apologized to the Hufflepuff.
"It's fine," he accepted your apology before closing the door of the cabin for you. "So you going to the cart? Let me come with you then, I didn't buy anything when she came by."
"Why is that?"
"I sorta fell asleep, the others aren't much company." Cedric laughed nervously as you two began to walk the aisle.
"Really? I knew being Prefect was boring, but I didn’t know it was that boring." You emphasized "that" to exaggerate and seem extra for a good laugh. It seemed to work as Cedric let out another laugh.
"Yeah, there's not much to talk about since it'll just be the usual awkward talk of summer break then silence."
"I would totally let you come and talk with us, but you and I will just be made fun of the whole time." Cedric paused in his tracks for a second with furrowed brows.
"What do you mean?"
"Oh, the twins are set on the fact that you fancy me. Crazy innit?" You laughed before quickly dying down. "Hope this doesn't make our… uh… friendship awkward." Cedric stared at you in surprise as you were so hesitant to even state you two have a friendship. He was a little heartbroken.
"No, not at all. They’re just probably be jerks with how it's obvious that some of your friends don't really like me." Cedric said, giving you a soft smile and you smiled back. After a second, you two reached the old lady with the cart. "Can I get a box of Fudge Flies and three boxes of Exploding Bonbons?" You asked the lady reaching into your pockets to grab out the money to pay her, but Cedric stopped you.
"Let me pay," he murmurs to you, "I would also like a box of Fudge Flies." He hands the women the money that paid off everything that was ordered then he was handed all of the items which you quickly helped since it looked like he was about ready to drop them. You grabbed the items that you and the other wanted and left the other box of Fudge Flies for Cedric. The two of you began to walk over to your original cabins.
"You really didn't have to pay for me." You spoke up.
"Well, I just wanted to be a good… friend, that's all." He wanted to say something other than friend, but it didn't feel right. He had Cho… he has to remember that he's supposed to be her beloved boyfriend that practically worships the ground she walks on, but there is something about you that Cho could never have.
"Now it feels like I owe you…" You grumbled.
"Sorry, I didn't mean to make you feel like that. I swear, you don't owe me anything and I won't bring this up like," he stopped himself before he could continue with his sentence, he wanted to throw some slander towards your friends but the conversation could go good or very much terrible. "Nevermind." You looked at him a little confused, you wanted to question what he was going to say but dropped it since he didn’t want to talk about it.
The two of you reached your respective cabins. "Well, I guess I'll see you some time at Hogwarts." You say.
"Yeah, see you around. Oh! Could you please tell the others to be a tad bit more quiet or else Marcus might pop a blood vessel as he yells at you guys." Cedric asks you to do a minor favor for him.
"Sure, can't promise they'll actually listen to me." You chuckled, "See you around, Cedric." You then enter the cabin and are immediately met with a bunch of your friends teasing you and laughing like hyenas.
"See you around…" Cedric mumbles out as he enters his own cabin.
"Took you awhile, Diggory." Nora said in a scolding tone.
"Yeah, yeah. I just wanted something to eat." Cedric grumbled as he began to eat the candy.
It was starting to get dark out and the sky would've been littered with bright white stars if it weren't for rain clouds filling the sky and began to sprinkle for a bit until it completely started pouring down. Everyone on the train had changed out of their normal clothes to their school uniforms as their time to depart the train was drawing near. It was time for Cedric to execute his plan, but he felt like he was missing something. It took him a second until he realized that the familiar that he had tucked in his shirt throughout the whole train ride was missing. He started to panic really badly. He didn't know what he would do without his little pal. Soon the train was brought to a halt. Each year was taken off the train separately which made it harder for Cedric to go looking for his buddy so had to sit around and wait until his year was called to come off the train, and Merlin only knows how long that will take. He sat in his seat, bouncing his leg up and down rapidly before chewing on his index finger's nail. "Are you alright, Cedric?" Arthur questioned Cedric, noticing his very nervous behavior.
"Oh yeah! Just a little worried about getting wet, that's all!" Cedric lied since he knew he'd be in trouble if they knew about his buddy being lost in a train because he decided to carry him around for some sort of comfort. However, his answer only got an eye roll from the Slytherin and Ravenclaw's prefects, but he could care less.
It felt like ages to Cedric, but it was finally time for his year to get off the train. He immediately dashed to your cabin hoping you were there and you were. He gave a big sigh of relief before urgently telling you he needed your help. "[Name], please help with something and promise not to tell anyone!" He grabbed your shoulders like they were his only lifeline, which in this case they were.
You were a little put off by his very frantic behavior, but pushed it aside since it was obvious he was in dire need of help. "Sure, what is it?" You questioned him calmly and even tried to calm him down.
"Okay… so uh…" Cedric tried to start off his sentence, but it was no use due to him being worried sick and was also in the presence of you. You told him to take a deep breath to calm down and he did before going on to his explanation. "Okay so throughout this whole train ride I had my familiar tucked away in my clothes, and when I changed out of my old clothes into my robes it seemed as though he ran off. He never ran off before!"
"Oh! Dear! We shouldn't be standing around!" You said before exiting out of the cabin quickly into the almost empty. Cedric quickly followed you out. "What am I trying to find anyway? A cat, a toad?" You questioned him as you started to look around.
"Well… uh… he's a niffler." Cedric said timidly as he began looking as well. "He's brown with some black spots, his most notable one is on his back."
"A-a niffler!?" You were shocked to hear his answer, but he quickly shushed you.
"Not so loud!" He whisper-yelled at you. "Look, I know it was stupid to buy a niffler, but eleven year old me never quite understood the concept of consequences of owning pets like that. I swear though, he's usually on his best behavior!" He tried to defend himself a bit for owning such a particular creature.
"Cedric, I don't mean to let your hopes up-"
"Don't say it!"
"But he might be good as gone…" You told him, almost feeling bad to be the one to bring him the sad news. Cedric shook his head though at you, not believing a single word that's coming out of his mouth. Sure he likes you a lot, but his niffler always comes first!
"Not possible, he couldn’t have gone that far!" He said as he started to quicken up his space and even looked at every single place that had anything remotely shiny. You shook your head before starting to help him find his lost niffler again.
After a minute of searching,  you noticed something furry poking out of the crevice of a seat in one of the cabins. "Cedric!" You called out for him and he immediately rushed to you. "I think I found him." His face immediately lit up as he rushed over and began to pull out the creature from within the seat. Sure enough, it was a niffler holding some jewelry, but Cedric could care less at the moment that his niffler was stealing other people's belongings. He started to hug the small thing before scolding it like if were a child and forcing it to drop all the things it stole. You couldn't help but laugh, but still be disappointed at Cedric for owning such a creature.
"Please keep this between you and me, I don't really want him and I to get into any sort of trouble." Cedric than pleads to you, hoping you'll go along with his wishes.
"Of course." You say to his delight, but you had more to say. "You know, you're lucky you're my friend or else I'd report right away just out of spite." You teased and laughed which he joined in as well.
"Thank you for helping me find him and even finding him, I owe you my life." He said in a very soft voice as he began to tuck his friend into his robes. "We should get going, like right now." He said in his regular voice. Both of you totally forgot that you needed to get to the carriages fast because of there being a feast and the fact that it's still pouring outside.
"Yeah!" You said as you and him started rushing out of the train and towards the carriages. By the time you two hopped into one, you both were drenched. "Well, guess there was truly no point in running." You laughed as you looked down at yourself. You looked like a mess in your eyes, but Cedric thought otherwise.
"Yeah, I would totally offer you a robe like that one night at the world cup, but you should already know the reason why I wouldn't." Cedric tried to make a little joke.
"What's next? You're going to offer me to lay my head on your shoulders?" You laughed, he let out a chuckle as well. He felt fine with you and felt like he could be himself.
"Maybe, it wouldn't make a difference really unless you want to be damp," Cedric said before his niffler started crawling out his robes to shake off the water and be a bit more dry. "Archie!" Cedric yells at the niffler trying to make him stop so the two of you wouldn't get more wet.
"Archie? That's what you choose to name it?"
"Hey! Don't shame me, it was either that or Arthur and he seemed to prefer Archie over Arthur!"
"I really can't say anything, I named my cat Brutus."
"Guess we both suck at naming animals then."
The carriage soon made it to Hogwarts and the doors swung open, you both were hesitant to walk out there since the both of you felt that your clothes were beginning to dry, but to both of your dismay you had to get wet again. "How about you go first?" You said as you looked outside. "How about I try to cover us both with my robe, I don't really care if it gets wet. Before you ask 'are you sure', I'm sure." He said as he began to take off his robe and place it over both of you. Archie soon began to crawl up onto Cedric's shoulders so he wouldn't be left behind.
"Do we just run out on the count of three?" Yoy questions and Cedric nods. "Okay… one… two…three!" You and Cedric both yelled as you began to run out of the carriage and towards the entrance of Hogwarts. The both of you almost tripped over each other quite a few times until you made it to the entrance. "You should put Archie away." You told Cedric as you pointed at the brown creature.
"Where would I even put him? I thought you took care of magical creatures for a living that keeping these guys in cages is impossible." He said as he started to wrap Archie in his robes. "He'll just have to deal with this until we get to my dorm room." He then began to walk inside of the school and you quickly followed him.
After a bunch of twists and turns, the two of you made it to the Great Hall where everyone was seated. It was really awkward for the two of you just to walk in late and sapping wet. "Uh, see you around [Name]." He murmurs to you.
"Yeah, see ya'." You said before the two of you head separate directions to join your house's table. You sat down with your friends while he sat down with his own.
"So what were you and Mr. Perfect doing? Snogging?" George teases as Fred pretends to snig with thin air.
"Shut up you two!" You yell at them and kick both of their legs under the table which causes them to yelp.
"Who were you with, Ced?" One of Cedric's friends questioned the brunette as he sat down.
"Uh, [Name] [Last Name]." Was all he said as he tried his best to avoid any further questions.
"So you hung out with some Slytherin and not one of us?" Another one if his friend piped up and Cedric didn’t like his choice of words to describe you.
"They aren't-" Cedric yelled at first, but calmed himself down before continuing, "they aren't just some Slytherin,"
"Are you really gonna replace us with them?" With the way that his friends were referring to you was a way that seemed of disgust and Cedric was sick of it, he wanted his friends to have some respect for you. Maybe he might replace them with you, maybe he can also devise a plan to make them purposely get seriously hurt during Quidditch since he thought they deserved it for saying such words about you. At this point, it wasn't even a maybe. He will do it no matter what it takes and he will target your friends next.

Where My Feet Take Me
Pairing: Tom Holland x reader
Synopsis: the boys chase a drunk Tom down the street and he tries to make things right with you
Masterlist
Tumblr media
“Hello?” Tom called out as he walked into the house. “I’m home.”
“Tom?” You froze in your tracks as a chill went down your spine. He came into your shared bedroom with an unsuspecting smile on his face, making your hands clench around the box in your hands.
“Hi darling.” He greeted you as he set his suitcase on the ground.
“What are you doing here?” You asked softly.
“I live here.” He teased before his eyes fell on the box in your hands. His face crumpled as he read “picture frames” written on the side in your handwriting.
“What are you doing?” He asked weakly, eyes never leaving the box.
“You said you were coming home tomorrow.” You reminded him.
“My flight was changed.” He told you. “What are you doing?”
“I’m sorry.” You whispered. “You weren’t supposed to be home.”
“What are you doing?” He repeated, firmly this time. You looked down at the box, unable to look him in the eyes as he slowly figured out what was happening.
“I’m leaving.” You mumbled without lifting your head. Tom slowly looked around the room, finally seeing how empty it was without your belongings. He looked at you in confusion and you nearly broke down.
“You.” You continued. “I’m leaving you.”
“What?” His asked, voice cracking. “Why?”
“You’re never here.” You told him with a shaking voice. “I’m on my own more than I’m with you. And when you’re gone, you don’t call. You don’t call or text or really give me any sort of indication that you remember me. I can’t do this anymore, Tom. I’m done.”
“But...what?” He rubbed his face as he tried to process what you were saying.
“I’m not happy, Tom.” You said weakly. “You’re a perfect boyfriend when you’re home but the second you leave for work, it’s like I don’t exist.”
“That’s not true.” He protested.
“Its not?” You laughed sadly. “We hardly ever speak. Look at your phone. When was the last time you texted me?”
Tom took out his phone, sure that you were wrong. He looked at his messages and sure enough, you were right.
“Wednesday.” He answered sheepishly.
“Yeah.” You nodded. “It’s Monday.”
“You’re leaving me because I haven’t texted you in a few days?” He asked.
“It’s not just that.” You whined and walked past him. He ran after you and stood in front of you.
“Then what is it?” He asked as he blocked your path.
“I shouldn’t have to explain it to you. You should know.” You said and tried to move past him.
“But I don’t. Please, baby. I don’t understand.”
You stopped trying to get past him and looked into his glassy eyes. It took everything in you not to unpack the box and stay with him. As much as you wanted to stay, you knew you had to leave.
“Thomas.” You sighed. “I wake up every morning and I have no idea if you love me or not. I can’t keep waiting for you to let me be a part of your life. I have to go.”
You walked past him and went out the front door with him following behind you.
“Please.” He begged. “Don’t leave. I can change.”
“I’ve heard that before.” You said as you walked faster to your car. You tried to open your car door but he put his hand on it to keep it closed.
“It will be different this time.” He assured you. “I promise.”
You looked at all your belongings in the backseat of your car for a minute before looking back at him. He was silently begging you to stay as tears slipped from his eyes.
“I just can’t believe you.” You shook your head. “I’m sorry.”
You walked around the car and got in the front seat but he caught the door before you could shut it.
“But, darling.” He cried. “I love you.”
“And I love you.” You told him. His eyes lit up as he hoped that meant you were changing your mind.
“It’s just not enough.” You continued. His hand slipped off the door in shock, and you were able to shut it. He watched you pull away as tears fell from his eyes, and that’s when he knew he had lost.
2 months later
The boys were sitting around in Harrison’s living room, all mindlessly scrolling through their phones. Tom noticed Harrison’s smile suddenly, then look at Harry and Sam. They shook their heads at him and Harrison quickly put his phone down.
“What?” Tom asked when he noticed the strange interaction. The boys exchanged a look, and silently decided not to lie to him.
“Y/n just congratulated me The Irregulars.” Harrison explained. Tom stiffened when he heard your name and looked to the other boys.
“Yeah.” Harry nodded slowly. “She texted me too. She liked my cameo in Cherry.”
“I wonder how she’s been.” Sam said, earning a glare from Harrison and Harry. Tom let out a defeated sigh and rubbed his face, also wondering how you had been. He couldn’t find the words to say, so he just hung his head in shame.
“Sorry, mate.” Harrison apologized. “I didn’t mean to bring it up.”
“It’s fine.” Tom shrugged as he got up. He grabbed a beer from the refrigerator and sipped it while looking out the window.
“I talked to my friend from work. Remember I told you about Holly?” Sam changed the subject. “She said she’d go out with you tonight if you want.”
“Sure.” Tom replied, hardly listening.
“Give her a chance mate.” Sam suggested. “You might like her.”
“Yeah.” Harry agreed. “Especially since Y/n-“
Harry was cut off with a harsh series of hushes from the other boys. Tom returned his attention to them, knowing they were trying to keep something from him.
“What about Y/n?” He asked.
“Nothing.” Harrison said as he glared at Sam.
“Harry.” Tom singled him out. Harry looked at him apologetically and sighed.
“I heard shes seeing someone.” He admitted. Tom stumbled backwards a little as the wind was knocked out of him. He sat back down in the living room and stared at the wall.
“Dude.” Sam hit his arm.
“He asked.” Harry defended himself. “And he was gonna find out eventually.”
“Tom, you okay?” Harrison asked.
“I’m fine.” Tom replied as he wiped his eyes. “When does that Hazel want to meet?”
“It’s Holly.” Sam corrected. “And she said anytime.”
“All right.” Tom downed the rest of his beer and stood up. “I’m ready. Text me the address.”
“Don’t you want to get dressed?” Harrison asked kindly, noticing Tom’s week old pajamas.
“I am dressed.” Tom gestured to himself.
“When was the last time you showered?” Harry wondered.
“Or shaved?” Sam added.
“Wednesday.” Tom shrugged.
“Mate.” Harrison sighed. “It’s Monday.”
“Well if she doesn’t like me for me, she’s more the one.” Tom gave them a tipsy smile and opened the front door.
“Okay.” Sam said wearily. “Have fun.”
Less than two hours later, Tom stumbled back through the front door and flopped onto the couch.
“Hey, man.” Sam greeted when he heard Tom come in. “How’d it go?”
“Horrible.” Tom mumbled. “She ordered Y/n’s favorite drink and it was downhill from there.”
“Tom.” Sam sighed and rubbed his brothers back.
“Sam.” Tom whined. “I don’t need you to play matchmaker for me. I don’t want anyone else. I want Y/n. I miss her.”
“I’m sorry, mate.” He said. “But it’s over with Y/n. You have to move on.””
“I can’t move on.” Tom teared up again. “I love her.”
“I know you do.” Sam nodded. “But you can love her from a distance.”
“No.” Tom decided as he struggled it stand up. “I have to go to her house. I can talk some sense into her.”
Harry walked into the room right as Sam was trying to reign Tom in.
“What’s he doing?” Harry asked as he helped keep Tom in place.
“He’s drunk.” Sam explained. “And he’s trying to go to Y/n’s house.”
“I have to see her.” Tom slurred and went for the door.
“Woah woah woah.” Harry held him back. “I’m not so sure that’s a good idea.”
“She’ll listen to me.” Tom declared. “She’ll listen this time. I know she will.”
“I think you should lie down and get some sleep.” Sam suggested.
“No.” Tom broke free from their grasp. “I’m going to her flat.”
“You can’t drive. You’re drunk.” Harry reminded him.
“I’ll walk.” Tom said as he went out the front door.
“Oh no.” Sam groaned. “Grab him.”
Harry and Sam chased Tom down the hall right as Harrison was coming up the elevator.
“Woah. Where’s he going?” He asked.
“To Y/n’s house.” Harry quickly explained as Tom ran out the front door of the apartment building. “Oh no. He got away!”
The boys quickly ran out of the apartment and searched the street for where Tom had gone.
“Tom!” Harrison called. “Where did you go?”
“Oh God.” Sam spotted him in the distance. “He’s running down the street.”
“Come on.” Harry sighed. “We have to get him.”
The boys chased Tom down the street, but never caught up to them. Even while drunk, he was faster than them. Tom found your apartment building and easily made it past the doorman. The boys finally caught up to him in the hallway by your door.
“Tom.” Harry tugged his arm towards the elevator. “We have to go home.”
“No.” Tom fought back. “I have to see her. I have to get her back.”
“You can’t just show up there.” Harrison protested. “She won’t open the door.”
“I have to talk to her.” Tom slurred. “I have to try.”
“Just let him go.” Sam sighed. “We’re not gonna be able to stop him.”
Harry reluctantly let go of Tom’s arm and let him go to your door.
“Y/n!” Tom called as he knocked on your door. “Open the door please. It’s Thomas.”
“Come on. You saw her door. Let’s go home.” Harry tried to tug him again.
“Y/n!” He ignored Harry and called again.
“She’s not home, mate.” Sam shrugged. “Let’s go.”
“No. I have to see her.” He cried and knocked again. “Y/n. It’s Tommy. Open the door please.”
Suddenly, you opened your front door to see the boys with their arms around Tom, attempting to pull him away.
“Tom?” You asked when your eyes fell on him. Tom’s face softened and for a minute, he was stone cold sober. You couldn’t help but smile a little at him after not seeing him for months.
“We’re sorry.” Harrison apologized. “We couldn’t stop him.”
“Hi darling.” Tom said weakly.
“Hi.” You chuckled a little at the sight in front of you. “Is he drunk?”
“Out of his mind.” Sam confirmed.
“I’m so sorry for everything.” Tom told you. “I’m sorry I drove you to leave.”
“Tommy.” You said softly, finally seeing how broken he was without you. Your heart physically hurt from how badly you missed him.
“Please take me back.” He begged. “I miss you so much. I just want...”
Before he could finish his sentence, he passed out on the floor with a hard thud.
“Oh my God.” You gasped as stated at his limp body. “Is he okay?”
“I’m sorry.” Harrison grabbed his leg and began to tug it. “We’ll take him home.”
“Wait. It’s okay.” You stopped him. “I’ll take care of him.”
“Are you sure?” Sam asked.
“Yeah. I dated him for three years. I know how to take care of him.” You smiled softly.
“All right.” Harrison nodded. “It’s good to see you.”
“You too. I miss you guys.” You said as you pulled them into a group hug.
“We miss you.” Harry said as he patted your back. “Just keep an eye on him, okay? He does this a lot. It’s the first time he’s been able to slip through our fingers.”
“I’ll look after him.” You assured them. “And I’ll see you all soon.”
“See you.” Harrison called as they walked towards your elevator. With the boys gone, you turned your full attention to Tom.
“Come on.” You shook him gently. “It’s time to get up.”
“Y/n?” Tom asked in a daze as he slowly woke up.
“Yeah, it’s me.” You chuckled as you tried to lift him. “God, you’re heavy. Woah, and stinky.”
“I’m sorry.” He mumbled from the ground.
“I know. Stand up.” You commanded, and this time he listened. He slowly stood up and swayed a little on his feet.
“We’re going inside, okay?” You said as you wrapped his arm around your shoulder. “Lean on me.”
You helped Tom into your apartment as he hung on your side like dead weight. His head was buried in your hair as you slowly helped him inside.
“You smell good.” He slurred in your ear.
“I wish I could say the same for you.” You teased as you held your breath. You carefully brought him to your couch and began to set him down.
“All right. Easy does it.” You said as you took his arm off of you and let him sit. Tom slumped on your couch like a rag doll and ran his fingers over the material.
“This is your couch?” He asked sleepily.
“Yeah.” You told him. “The previous owner left it.”
Tom winced a little as he remembered that you no longer lived with him and now had a place of your own.
“It’s nice.” He smiled weakly. “We used to have a couch together.”
“Yeah. We used to have a lot together.” You said softly as you sat next to him on the couch. Even though he was drunk, you could see the remorse in Tom’s eyes. He rubbed your couch with his hand and pouted.
“I miss that.” He mumbled. “I miss you.”
“I know, bear.” You modded. “Me too.”
“It’s been so long since you called me that.” He smiled a little when he heard his old nickname from your lips.
“I know.” You chuckled. “We haven’t talked in a while.”
“It’s my fault.” His smile fell. “I fucked everything up.”
“Yeah.” You said quietly. “You did.”
“I’m so sorry.” He told you. “I’ll never stop being sorry.”
“I’d be a lot more willing to forgive you if you took a shower.” You scrunched your nose at him.
“I can do that.” He laughed in his drunken state and tried to stand up. He almost fell over, but you quickly caught him.
“Come on.” You laughed as helped him walk towards the bathroom. “Into the bathroom.”
You lead him into the bathroom and let him lean against you as you walked. You told him it was to help keep him on his feet, but you really just missed his touch.
“Okay.” You pushed the bathroom door open. “We’re here. This is my shower.”
Tom stared at it for a minute as if he’d never seen a shower before.
“How do I use it?” He looked to you for help.
“You just turn the knob.” You laughed and turned the knob towards the hot water.
“Thats too much responsibility for me”. Tom mumbled under his breath.
“Its okay. It’s already warm.” You said as you ran your hand under the water. “Shampoo and conditioner are on the floor. The soap is in the dish.”
As you turned around, you saw Tom tangled up in his shirt with his arms crossed.
“Oh no.” You chuckled. “What happened here?”
“I’m stuck.” His voice was muffled behind the shirt over his head.
“I can see that. Come here.” You gestured for him to come over and he stumbled towards you. You helped him pull his shirt the rest of the way off, reminding you of that way you used to be. He flushed a little under your gaze, feeling more vulnerable than ever.
“You stink.” You scrunched your nose up again when his must hit you.
“I know.” He smiled a little. “Sorry.”
“I took one of your razors by accident. It’s in the cabinet behind the mirror.” You told him. “Use it, please. You look like a pedophile.”
“I’ll use it.” He said, never taking his eyes off you. You stared back at him as you fought the urge to lean in and kiss him right there. You took a step back before you could get ahead of yourself and patted his chest.
“Okay.” You smiled shyly at him. “Have fun in there.”
“I’ll try.” He called after you as you left the bathroom.
When Tom came out of the shower, there was a pile of his clothes sitting on the counter. You had stolen enough of his clothes to throw together an outfit for him. Next to the clothes was a glass of water and some aspirin. He got dresses, popped the pills in his mouth and downed the water before finding his razor in the cabinet.
Once he was done, he padded back into your kitchen and found you sitting at the island.
“There you are.” You smiled at him. “Much better.”
“I feel better.” He told you. “I puked in your toilet though.”
“Well then it’s a good thing I made you some food to fill back up.” You said as you put a plate of eggs and toast in front of him. He looked at you gratefully before digging in.
“Thank you so much.” He said with a mouthful. “I haven eaten in hours.”
“Really? You didn’t eat on your date?” You asked as you put another glass of water by his plate.
“I was hardly even there.” He shook his head. “I drank half the bar though. Wait, how did you know about my date?”
“Harry tells me everything.” You chuckled. “I knew you were on your way here before you even left.”
“Damn.” He laughed as well. You sat in comfortably silence until Tom remembered what drove him to get drunk in the first place. “He told me you were seeing someone.” He said without making eye contact with you.
“It’s not serious.” You shrugged. “It’s only been a few dates.”
Tom felt sick to his stomach as you confirmed his worst nightmare.
“Does he call when he says he will?” He laughed humorlessly.
“Yeah.” You smiled sadly. “And he texts me too.”
“Wow.” Tom rolled his eyes and took a bite of his toast. You got up and poured hot water into a mug before putting his favorite tea bag in it.
“And he owns his own business so he works whatever hours he wants.” You continued as you set the mug in front of him. “No weeks away in other cities.”
“He sounds perfect.” Tom mumbled as he took a sip of his tea.
“Yeah.” You nodded as you sat back down. “I wouldn’t really know, though.”
“Why not?” Tom perked up.
“Cause when I’m with him, all I think about is you.” You said sheepishly. Tom froze and looked at you hopefully when he heard you say this. You gave him a small smile and leaned your chin in your hand, raising your eyebrow a little to tell him the ball was in his court.
“I don’t deserve a second chance from you.” He shook his head. “I don’t deserve any of this.”
“Maybe not.” You agreed. “But I’m giving you one anyway.”
“Why are you being so nice to me?” He wondered. “You never had to open the door. But you let me in, cleaned me up and made me all this food. I broke your heart, remember? Why would you do all this for me?”
“Because I love you.” You said simply. “And l’ve been miserable without you. I should’ve stayed and worked things out. I can’t tell you how much I regret leaving like that.”
“It’s okay.” He nodded and put his hand on top of yours. “It was my fault. I drove you to leave. But I promise, if you come back, everything will be different. I’ll call you so much, you’ll get sick of me. And I’ll start taking you with me when I work. No more months away. I promise.”
“I really want to believe you.” You sighed and toyed with his fingers. “I already know you’re sorry. You left me about 40 voicemails telling me that you are. You’re lucky I haven’t turned one into a song yet.”
“I guess I am pretty lucky.” He chuckled slightly.
“I still might.” You teased. “Next time you piss me off, I’m making a single out of “y/nnnn. I miss you. Please take me back” and getting on the charts.”
“Please don’t.” He whined as he got out of his seat and walked around the kitchen island to be near you.
“As long as you keep your word and make some changes, I won’t have to.” You smiled softly now that he was close to you.
“Thank you for letting me in tonight.” He spoke softly as he eyes stayed on your lips. “Thank you for everything.”
“You’re welcome, bear.” Your lips tugged into a full smile. You wrapped your arms around his neck and rested your forehead against his, relishing in his warmth. Tom took the initiative to lean forward and kiss you for the first time in two months. Three actually, since he’d been away working. You pulled him closer to deepen the kiss, feeling like you never wanted to pull away.
“Thank you for taking me back. I love you so much.” He mumbled against your lips. You rested your head on his shoulder and gently swayed with him in the kitchen, missing him more than words can say.
“I love you too, bear.”

Tomorrow | S.B
Paring: Sirius Black X Wife!Reader
Summary: James is nervous to marry Lily so he asks his best friend how he managed to marry his wife.
A/N: I know that this is vote number one instead of number two (which won) however, I decided to scrap what I had for number two because it wasn’t good. This is better and I’ll continue to rewrite number two until it’s to my standards. I hope you understand.
His hands were sweaty. He was nervously pulling his hair which received multiple slaps from his best friend for ruining his hair. James stepped foot in the full-length mirror readjusting his bow tie while Sirius stood behind him, chuckling at his nervous best friend.
James sighed, “How’d you do it, Pads?”
“Mm?”
“How did you marry Y/n?”
Sirius chuckled, “Have you turned daft?”
James tilted his head in confusion, “You were my best man! You were there the entire time.” Sirius replied playfully.
“No, no, I mean, how did you really do it? Like step on the altar and marry her?”
“I just did?” Sirius answered, and James gave him a look, “Bullshit.”
“Okay, fine! Fine!” Sirius relented, “I was practically shitting myself. Y/n means a lot to me, ya’ know?”
James was silent, letting his best friend rant about his wife, “Y/n means everything to me. She’s been with me through thick and thin. There’s nothing more I wanted than to marry her even if it was in the midst of this war.”
“You’ve been chasing Lily for years, mate. I can promise you that she wouldn’t have said yes if she didn’t really want to.” Sirius assured.
“You’re sure?” James inquired insecurely, “I’m one hundred percent sure.”
A knock resonated on the door with a soft voice on the other side, “It’s just me!”
The female voice on the other side of the door walked in, styled h/c hair and makeup placed upon her face. She was greeted with Sirius, and a hug pulled tightly into his chest. She saw James looking at them nervously, and she let go of Sirius to hug James tightly.
“You’re going to be okay? I promise.” She stated, pulling apart to look at his hazel eyes, “Lily loves you. Godric, she loves you more than anything!”
“Thanks, Y/n.” James smiled softly, and Y/n pulled her lips to his ear to whisper, “Lily’s liked you since second year.”
James and Y/n laughed as they pulled apart, “But that stays between us!”
“Oi!” Sirius interjected playfully, “Taking my wife, are you?”
“Never.” James replied smiling, all nerves having left, “Thank you both for being here. Seriously it means a lot to me.”
They smiled, “Anytime.”
Someone cracked open the door and spoke, “We need the maid of honor and the best man so we can start.”
“Suppose that’ll be us?” Sirius questioned teasingly, “I think so.” Y/n smiled.
Y/n kissed James’ cheek, “You’ll do fine, and we’ll see you soon.”
“Of course, Mrs.Black.”
Sirius wrapped his arm around Y/n as they walked out to the aisle and altar. Sirius took his spot on the right and Y/n on the left. Smiling at each other from the side, remembering what it was like only a few months ago when they got married. When Lily was in the maid of honor spot and James was in the best man spot. Now roles were reversed.
James stepped out, gaining a reassuring smile from them both. Lily following not too far after with her father. James and Lily looked like lovesick puppies. It was adorable. Vows were exchanged, and tears were shed, especially from James and Lily. On the alter, someone took pictures of the four of them together. Sirius told an absurd joke making them all laugh. A picture was taken at the exact moment.
It was nice. Y/n and Sirius sat at a table together. His arm was around her shoulders as they watched their best friends dance together and laugh together. Sirius took the clips out of his wife’s hair and scratched her scalp, causing her to move into his hand. Multiple hours of clips in Y/n’s hair gave her headache, and Sirius was relieving it.
“Feel nice, love?”
“Yes, these bloody clips. Make sure you save them. I’m going to throw them at Lily later.” Y/n stated, and Sirius chuckled, “Mhm, okay.”
Hours later, James and Lily began to act like fools. Y/n picked up one of the clips from the table, aiming precisely with some help from Sirius - a former Quidditch Beater - and threw it at her. At first, she didn’t notice, but after the third one, she did. The smile on her face was unmistakable.
Lily picked up the three clips and turned toward her maid of honor with her hair down completely. Another one was thrown at her, and Lily laughed loudly. Then one was thrown at Y/n and Sirius. Fortunately, Lily threw it and missed Y/n completely, instead hitting Sirius right in the face. James, Lily, and Y/n were laughing like the only people in the building.
“Oi!” Sirius yelled, “Control your wife, Prongs!”
Y/n stood up, reaching a hand out for Sirius, “C’mon Siri. Let’s go join them.”
Sirius smirked and took her hand, joining their best friend dancing together, jumping around like fifth-year Gryffindors in the common room. They looked like complete idiots, but that didn’t matter. Lily and Y/n holding hands, twirling each other around, laughing together. James and Sirius began to throw the clips at each other. Remus and Peter were on the side watching the idiots.
Lily and Y/n traded. Y/n danced with James, and Lily danced with Sirius. The girls could remember back in sixth year complaining about their boyfriends in the girl's dorms but always remembering that they love their idiots. When the night was over, just the four of them at Godrics Hollow, they just laughed the night away.
“So, Mrs.Potter, how’s it feel?” Y/n teased, “Surprisingly, it feels great.” Lily replied.
“How about you, Mrs.Black?”
“Being married to Sirius is a dream.” Y/n joked, “No, no, but in all seriousness, he’s delightful, sweeter than I imagined.”
Lily’s eyebrows quirked, “What’s he like?”
“Perfect?” Y/n replied, “Does laundry, cooks, cleans, makes my coffee every morning before order stuff?”
“Mother of Merlin! I never would’ve expected-“ Lily exclaimed, “I know! It’s crazy!” Y/n interrupted.
“We got lucky, didn’t we?”
“Indeed we did, sister.”
They clinked their glasses of firewhiskey together. Both girls finally married, finally together. Lily and Y/n hit the motherload with their husbands. Both were gentlemen and chivalry experts. Both girls fell asleep together on the couch, leaving both boys to bring them to bed. Sirius and Y/n in the guest bedroom. James and Lily in their bedroom.
The following morning the four of them woke up. Lily and Y/n were making breakfast while the two men tried to help despite having no knowledge of cooking. Two hours later, breakfast was made and being eaten at the dinner table. Clinks of forks and sounds of chewing were the only sounds coming from the table.
Until Sirius spoke up, “So, how was yesterday, newlyweds?”
“Perfect.” James answered, Sirius then turned to Lily, “Despite everything going on, I think we really needed it.”
Y/n nodded, “Completely agree. It was nice to let loose for a couple of hours.”
The conversation then went quiet, “I don’t know what I’d do without you guys.” Said James solemnly.
“Yesterday was great, but what we don’t know is the future, and I know that right now it’s a dark time. It’s probably one of the lowest points I’ve been in my life. My parents being terribly sick, the Dark Lord on the rise supposedly. Everything seems to be going in a downhill spiral.”
“But for the first time in months, yesterday I felt like a first-year at Hogwarts performing my first prank. I felt like that second-year who blew up Y/n’s cauldron for fun. The third-year who decided it’d be a brilliant idea to dye Sirius’ hair pink.” James stated as everyone laughed, “Let’s just say I didn’t have hair for a week.” He murmured.
“Fourth year when I stole Remus’ book, and he nearly killed me. Fifth-year, when I turned into an animagus for Moony. Sixth year when Lily finally decided to give me a chance. Seventh year when we blew up fireworks in the Great Hall for the graduating class of 1978.”
“Not knowing what tomorrow brings leaves us anxious and nervous. But there’s one thing I’m sure of.” James informed, “That if anything ever happens to me, just know, that every second we’ve spent together, every memory we have together, I hold them close to my heart. They all mean something to me. Even if it’s as simple as sitting in the common room together.”
“James-“
“I’m not finished.” He interrupted, “This is a scary time, but I’ve always been certain of one thing, that thing is you guys. You guys have always been constants in my life. Always been there for me through thick and thin. Sirius being my brother, Lily being my wife, and Y/n being the little sister I never got and my shoulder to cry on.”
Y/n chuckled, “Hey!”
“I still love you.” James replied teasingly through his tears, and she smiled, “I know, Prongs.”
“I’ll eventually have to repeat the same speech to Moony and Wormtail, but for right now, I haven’t felt happier. I wanted to say all of this at the wedding, but Lily didn’t want to dampen anyone’s mood, which I understand. Yesterday was a breath of fresh air for what’s to come.”
“But tomorrow, we will all go back to our Order missions and meetings. One thing I can be sure of is that I can always trust you guys, through and through. If for some reason something happens to me, just know I love you guys.”
“We love you too, James.” Lily replied.
Sirius sniffled and smiled through his teary eyes, “Nothing will happen to you guys. Not with me here. You guys have given me too much to let you guys go without a fight.”
“And that’s why we love you, Padfoot.” James stated, smiling at him.
“Everything will be okay. We’ll get through this.” Y/n said with hopeful optimism that would always brighten her friend's days.

“Oh my god, I’m so sorry I’m late!” You slide into the booth and throw your bag down next to you, hoping to god you don’t look as frazzled as you feel; this restaurant is far too nice.
Nate just smiles at your words, too familiar with your family by now to know that you’re always running 5-10 minutes behind. He’s ordered a bottle of wine- a nice rosé, fitting for the beautiful end of summer day- and had already started pouring a matching glass for you the second you started sitting down. “How’d the interview go?”
You bite your lip. “Eh.”
“I’m sure it went better than you think.” Nate says encouragingly. “You’re too hard on yourself. All three of you are.”
And well, that’s not a lie. Your siblings were just as critical of themselves as you were. Sid was famously known for it and Taylor, your twin, was as bad as you. But…
“Listen to you!” You laugh at him. Nate’s just as bad as the three of you. A mini-Sid in many ways, to many people in your hometown.
But that was in Canada. This was Denver. And here, Nate was cool. Laid-back. Lowkey. Everything a professional athlete should be. Nobody knew about what a dork he really was, except his teammates.
And now, maybe you too, if all went well with this job interview.
“Don’t know what you’re talking about.” Nate says, looking at his menu to feign ignorance.
You giggle, pulling your own up toward your face. “Sure, buddy.”
It’s not often that you and Nate spend time one on one like this, even if you see him all the time over the summer. He’s usually with your brother when you see him, politely trying to decline your mom’s invites to dinner or already hanging at Sid’s house when you invite yourself over to your brother’s house for pool or lake time. Usually time one on one with Nate like this is brief, usually like in passing while he’s waiting for Sid in the kitchen while you’re eating.
It’s nice. Nate’s funnier than people give him credit for and it’s easy to relax into dinner and conversation, to forget about the anxiety from your interview as you chat about what’s new for both of you and gossip about people you both know.
By the time he drops you off at your hotel, it’s late and you’re too tired (and maybe just on the right side of tipsy) to even worry about the interview. You just barely change into pajamas, run through your nightly routine, and climb into bed, before shutting the lights off. It feels like you’re asleep before your head even hits the pillow.
In the morning, you’re awoken by the sound of your phone ringing, and it takes a second for you to place the sound, but when you do you pounce on it, recognizing the local area code immediately. “Good morning.” You say, trying your hardest not to sound like you woke up literally thirty seconds ago.
It’s human resources, from the job you interviewed for yesterday.
You got it.
-----
“Ew, no!” Your dad holds his hands up innocently, when you rush over to stop him from unpacking a box. “Why would you put that there?”
“Hey, sweetie, maybe it’s time for a break.” Your mom says gently, exchanging a look with your dad, who nods his agreement enthusiastically.
Which is fair. You’d just about almost taken his fingers off just because you didn’t like where he was unpacking colanders.
“Dinner!’” Your dad latches onto immediately. “Nate offered to take us all out tonight, I’ll let him know we’re ready.”
“Ready?” You frown, looking down at your workout shorts and baggy t-shirt.
“We’ll be ready in an hour.” He amends, already texting Nate.
Nate knocks on the door to the new condo you’re renting an hour and fifteen minutes later, sheepishly grinning when your dad tells him that you and your mom still need a few minutes. “Thought I had my timing perfect.”
Your dad snorts. “Oh buddy. Keep dreaming.”
He’s not too off on his timing, but unfortunately for Nate, you don’t have too much else going for you in your condo yet. Your dad had gotten your TV all set up, but in addition to the TV and living room furniture, you haven’t gotten much else, and that includes food and beverages. So the two of them sit in mostly silence while they wait another few minutes for you and your mom to finish getting ready.
“I told you that you should have just met us there.” You tell Nate, as he trips on a box on his way out the door.
“Oh, so this wasn’t deliberate sabotage?” He deadpans.
“You caught me. Just trying to keep you around the city full time until I have time to make better friends.”
Nate laughs, as the two of you follow your parents out the door. “Be nicer to me or I won’t introduce you to my friends.”
“Who said I want to be friends with your friends?”
“Children.” Your mom turns to look back at you and Nate smiles at her innocently, but it’s been a while since that’s fooled her. “Do we need to stay home?”
It serves to get the two of you moving, even as you laugh at her joke. Nate drives you to another one of his favorite restaurants, and dinner flies by, with Nate insisting on picking up the tab, even when your dad tries to fight him on it.
It’s started to cool down a little by the time you’re walking back toward the car, Nate and your dad still fake-fighting about paying for dinner, and you find yourself not realizing you’re smiling at the two of them as you walk behind them until your mom bumps your shoulder. “A few hours off for dinner with some good company was just what you needed.” She says.
And even though the smile on her face seems too knowing, you’re too tired to ask about it right now, so you just nod in agreement. “Yeah, this was nice.” You smile back at her.
-----
Mel Landeskog pokes her head around the corner and you wave at her, trying to catch her attention. “Jesus Christ.” She shakes her head. “I didn’t think he was serious.”
“I mean.” You bite your lip. “I did have to work today.”
“I would have picked you up!” She shakes her head, muttering under her breath, and you know Nate’s going to get an earful from her later. “But no, no. That dumbass just let you come all the way over here by yourself. Sends me a text to come meet you by the door. All casual.”
“I mean.” You send her a look. “Did you expect anything different from Nate?”
It’s the way she looks at you and sets her face that almost has you nervous for Nate. You’ve known Mel for a long time now, but really, you don’t know her from more than just years of NHL events. “I do now.” She says.
You hope Nate knew what he was getting himself into sending Mel a text to come find you earlier.
Once she leads you up into the box with some of the wives and kids, she’s back to smiling and laughing, making introductions all around. The mood all around is light and easy, everyone excited for the home opener of the season, and happy to be back with everyone again.
It’s fun to be back in this atmosphere. Hockey’s been a part of your life for so long and there’s truly nothing like the energy of the first game of the season. You feed off the energy, catching up with some familiar faces and chatting with all the other girls, probably too excited when they invite you to a girl’s night later in the week, but it feels good to have plans that don’t involve trying to invite yourself to Nate’s when you’re bored.
“Hey, good job tonight.” You nudge him afterwards, catching up with him in the family room.
He laughs, pulling you in for a hug. “A little different than what you were used to?”
“It lived up to the hype, I guess.”
“I’ll turn you from a Pens fan.” Nate promises.
It’s your turn to laugh. “Feel Sid’s wrath.”
“What’s he going to do? Check me into the boards? Bring it.”
Nate’s been hanging out with your brother and your family for years now, so he should really know better by now. “Okay, buddy.” You pat his shoulder patronizingly. “Sure.”
“I could take him.” Nate insists.
“Throw hands. Next game. I dare you.”
He side-eyes you, because you both know that’s not going to happen and it’s only a minute before you’re both laughing.
“I better see you on Friday!” Ashley Kadri shouts out to you as she’s walking past with Naz and Naylah, interrupting your laughter. “No excuses!”
“I’ll be there!” You call back. “Promise!”
When you look back, Nate’s pouting-exaggerated, albeit, but pouting. “Are you ditching me this Friday?”
“Yup. Found better company.”
“How dare you?” He cries. “There is no better company.”
“Well.” You shrug. “I’ll know for sure after happy hour on Friday.”
“Find your own ride home.” Nate says and then he starts speed walking away from you at an absurd speed.
“Nate!” You protest, jogging to catch up and he finally slows down enough for you to catch up when you round the corner, bumping your shoulder right back when you purposely bump into him in retaliation.
-----
No one lets loose like a group of moms when they’ve got a night without their kids.
Someone has mentioned this to you before, at a bachelorette party or a wedding or something, but you don’t think you’ve ever seen it really in action before until this happy hour.
“If the waitress comes back, order me another drink!” Kerry calls, before running off to the bathroom.
The waitress nods at her, before addressing the rest of you. “Another round?”
“Oh, please!” Mel nods quickly and repeatedly.
“Can we get a few more orders of mozzarella sticks too, please?” You look down at the empty plates in front of you. “And maybe some nachos too?”
“Yes!” Jackie lights up across from you. “Great call!”
It pretty much only goes downhill from there and by the end of the night, both Mel and Ashley are crying for reasons no one is sure of entirely and you’re pretty grateful to see Nate among the group of husbands and boyfriends to come to pick up all their girlfriends.
So grateful you scream his name the second you see him. “Nate!”
He winces, trying to pull his ear away from you, but he’s laughing. “Guess you had a good time, huh?”
“Uh huh!” You nod enthusiastically, not realizing how loud you are until he winces again.
Nate laughs. “Alright, I think it’s time to go home.”
You gasp loudly. “I can’t leave my new friends!”
“Your new friends are all leaving you!”
You frown, but look around and realize he’s right. Naz has already sneakily pulled Ashley out of the bar and Gabe and Erik were collecting Mel and Jackie’s things. “Oh.”
“Oh?” Nate parrots. “Come on, get your stuff, crazy girl.”
“Hey!” You protest, grabbing your purse. “I am the least crazy person in my family.”
“I hate to break it to you.” Nate says, as he guides you into standing. “But that’s not saying much.”
He’s right, but you bump him with your shoulder anyway as you walk past. That’s about sibling honor and shit.
Nate parked too far away and by the time you reach his car, you’re leaning on him, the adrenaline from hanging out with friends wearing off quickly. Nate’s nice about it, guiding you to his car and then helping you into his front seat before heading around to the driver’s side.
“You guys had a fun time then?” Nate says, once he’s started driving and you’re half asleep leaning against the window. “Looks like it at least.”
“Yeah.” You nod sleepily. “But you were right.”
He chuckles. “About what?”
“There’s no better company than you.”
-----
Nate becomes pretty clingy after that night, texting and facetiming whenever he’s out of town, and stopping by pretty much anytime he’s got a free minute. It quickly becomes something you look forward to, missing his visits when he’s out of town and looking forward to his calls, smiling when his texts come in and breaking up your work day. And it isn’t long before you realize that you’re being just the same. Sending him messages before and after games. Inviting yourself over for dinner and making Nate cheat on his diet.
In a blessed move from the NHL scheduling department, Sid and the rest of the Pens are scheduled to arrive in town on a Friday morning and aren’t leaving until the end of the weekend.
They have a practice scheduled for early afternoon, which is perfect for you to wrap up your work day before heading over to watch the end.
Geno lights up when he sees you watching from the glass, the first person to acknowledge you, and skating over in the middle of the drill, leaving behind two shocked linemates. “Mini!” He shouts cheerfully, even as you roll your eyes at your least favorite nickname. All because you happen to be the shortest of your siblings. “Great to see you.”
“You too, Geno.” You smile warmly at him, a little annoyed that you can’t get a giant bear hug from your favorite pseudo-older brother right away. “But I don’t think a few other people feel the same right now.” You jerk your chin back over his shoulder.
He turns his head quickly but then looks back. “Psh. They’ll get over it.”
You bust out laughing, which is right about when your brother comes over, and in classic Sid fashion, is all about hockey. “Stop being a distraction.”
“I was minding my own business until Geno came over here!” You protest, even as Geno starts laughing and Sid eyes you skeptically.
“Why don’t I believe that one?” Sid says dryly and sure, maybe you were making faces at some of the guys you knew well as they were passing you, but you weren’t actively being a distraction.
“That’s your prerogative.” You tell Sid, who shakes his head and pulls Geno back for the remainder of practice.
Practice doesn’t last for too much longer and you spend a few minutes chatting with the coaching staff while you wait for Sid to change. But he and Geno finally come out of the locker room and you stop mid-sentence to throw yourself at your brother.
Sid’s laughing and so are you, but both of you start laughing even harder when Geno pulls you both into his arms. “Two of my favorite people!”
“Taylor’s going to be so offended.” Kris grins, watching the three of you amused.
“Taylor?” You grin back at him, going for a hug once Geno releases you. “How about his wife and kid?”
“Those are my other favorite people.” Geno reasons.
“Now I’m offended.” Kappy deadpans.
“You’re not even close.” Geno grins, roughing his hair.
Kappy tries to get him right back, but Geno just swats his hand away and then Sid’s shaking his head, like this is just the same shit, different day. “Look what you did.”
You grin, leaning against him. “Not sorry. I’ve missed this entertainment.”
Sid shakes his head. “Then you can round them up for dinner.”
You do. Easily.
Nate had suggested one of the team’s favorite restaurants and you’re happy to see that he’d accepted your invitation to join everyone, even if he rolls in a little late. You’re deep into Kris’ camera roll, looking at pictures of his kids and catching up on stories that you haven’t heard about them recently, so you don’t even notice he’s arrived and said hello already until he blows on the back of your neck.
You jump. “What the hell?”
Nate’s grinning. “Hey.”
You shake your head at him and bump your shoulders against him. “Hey.” You mimic and then turn right back to Kris.
But your shoulder stays leaning on Nate, and it remains there comfortably all night.
-----
Sid’s a little cranky when you first meet him for breakfast the morning after the game and you’re sure it has everything to do with the last minute turnover that cost them the game (and bragging rights over Nate this summer, which is really what he’s probably cranky about).
He gets over it pretty quickly though, and soon the two of you are laughing and talking, catching up about your family and your lives.
“-and I even love my office, the vibes are just great!”
Sid shakes his head. “Vibes.”
You grin. You know he hates that word. “Good vibes.” You confirm.
“So you’re liking Denver?”
“Love it.” You confirm, smiling.
“Meeting good people?”
You eye him skeptically. “Yes dad. I already said my coworkers are great and I’ve been hanging out with Nate and his friends a lot too. It’s good”
“Geno thinks there’s something going on between you and Nate.” Sid says casually.
The jump of your heart is far from casual. “Oh yeah?”
Sid eyes you but his response to that is surprising. “You know if there was something going on between you and Nate that would be okay?” He pauses, watching you again, but your face is completely neutral, purposely not moving. “Right?”
“You know if there was something going on between me and Nate that your opinion wouldn’t matter at all, right?”
He grins, laughing as he nods, but after he takes a bite of pancakes he says, “To you, yeah. To him, it does.”
“Why?” You blurt out, giving yourself away before you can stop yourself.
But Sid doesn’t say anything to that. He grins again and then changes the subject entirely.
-----
You only make it about a day before you’re knocking on Nate’s door, pretty forcefully.
“What’s up?” He swings the door open, with a frown. “You okay?”
“Does what my brother thinks really matter to you that much?” You blurt out. It’s been bothering you ever since Sid mentioned it at breakfast. That you lasted this long was probably a miracle.
Nate blushes and your jaw drops. “It-”
“Oh my god.” You grin delightedly. “Come on, really?”
“That’s not-” He blows out a frustrated sigh. “You’re really going to make me say it?”
You nod, but you’re pretty sure he’s not going to get far into what he’s going to say.
He sighs again. “It’s not about, like, his approval, or shit. It’s just- he’s important to you. So obviously he’s important to me-”
You kiss him.
“You know that you don’t even have to worry about that, right?” At some point, you’d slid one hand to his hip and the other arm around his neck, and the hand there plays with the hair at the nape of his neck.
“I’ll argue about that with you later.” Nate says impatiently and so you’re laughing when he kisses you again.

Daycare - @midnightsconspiracy
Summary: Hank finally gets to spend some quality time with his son, little did he know the boy had changed a lot since their last time together.
Warnings: None
Word Count: 1090
Requested: Yes!
'Voight believed that the reader deserved the day to herself so he would take care of their one-year-old. Voight believed it was easy, boy was he wrong. The first couple of hours went smoothly but after that, it went downhill. When the reader returns the reader sees Voight lied down on the couch with their son on top of him.'
A/N: first time posting a fic in a month....... sorry, I've been busy!
Masterlist
As much as Voight would have liked to believe that the parenting of your son was an even split, in reality, he knew you took the brunt of the work. All those times he'd spent nights at the office or stayed out late drinking with his buddies at their social club, you were there looking after your son. No matter how difficult it got, you were there moving to his every shrill cry and pleading shout. And so after another night spent doing overtime, Hank decided he would give you some time off, encouraging you to do the things that you'd had no time for since the birth of your son. Plus it meant he could really spend some quality time with his boy, something he hadn't been able to do since the additional pressure had been placed onto his unit.
The last time he'd spent a full twenty-four hours with his son was a couple of months ago, the chubby baby not being able to fend for himself at all, let alone sit up without any assistance. Now the one-year-old could
do more than ever, things he'd failed to watch in person, instead, chasing criminals and doing paperwork. His son was his angel though, and in his eyes could never and had never done any wrong. Little did he know though, that had changed since they'd last spent time together, gone was the child that was relaxed and placid, instead replaced with a fiesty boy who loved exploring and got upset at the slightest inconvenience. He was in for the ride of his life you thought to yourself as he finally bought up the subject one evening.
And that fateful day came along much quicker than he anticipated, taking the day off work to finally allowed you a well-deserved break. You had the whole day planned out as well, in the morning it was visiting your sister, going out shopping and chatting about all the missed gossip. Then the rest of the day was designated to your best friend, knowing you were overdue for a good catch up after being told how much you'd neglected her over the past year. You knew that it would be a long day for Hank, even trying to bargain to shorten your time apart. But he had insisted you spent the whole day out, not wanting to see your face until at least dinnertime. And so you agreed, not wanting to go against your husband knowing he would continue to insist until you accepted. As you kissed the man goodbye at the door that morning, he reassured you everything would be ok, because how much harm could an old-year-old really do?
The first hour sailed smoothly, cooking food for the two of them, indulging in the morning sunshine that gleamed through the window. Breakfast was a relatively quiet affair, both still wiping off the sleep in their eyes as they slowly chewed their food, wondering what the day ahead held. And things continued that way, hour after hour everything seemed as though it was perfect, his little boy happily playing with his toys or watched the mindless tv that had been put on to occupy his young mind. Although this wasn't the most entertaining way Hank could think of to spend his evening, he was glad he had time with his son, knowing just how quickly they grew up. He felt a little remorseful that he'd spent a lot of his baby's first year working, but he decided in that moment that would change, seeing that Justin's childhood had been and gone. And as he put his son down for a nap, thankful that he'd get a little time to do paperwork, he thought nothing of what was to come.
What you'd forgotten to tell the man was how grumpy his son got after waking up from a nap. Well, it was ironic really, knowing he was exactly the same, always giving you attitude whilst waking him up from work. But you had gotten used to it by now, getting into a routine to calm the boy down. You had failed to mention that to Hank also, hoping to show him how much work you really did whilst at home looking after the family. And hopefully, if your child acted up today as he always did, Hank would be spending a lot more time at home.
After finishing his paperwork and realising the time, Hank moved upstairs to wake his darling son up from his nap, switching on the light to reveal his angel to him. Although instead of the well-behaved son from a couple of hours ago, it was replaced with the devil, screaming at the top of his lungs over being woken up. And as much experience Hank had with children, nothing seemed to settle the boy, everything he could think of wasn't working. No way in hell was calling you either for a solution, he didn't want to disturb your day at all, plus his ego wouldn't let him. He was going to do this by himself, whether that meant having his eardrums ruined by screaming or not.
And so that was where he found himself, lying back on the sofa, his son on his chest, screaming the house down continuously. He had done everything under the sun to figure out this boys problem, but still, nothing worked. So he decided he would wait it out, the boy couldn't scream for that long, could he? But once again he was proven wrong as still after an hour, the cries continued, a little less loud, but still prevalent never the less. After a while, he'd kinda gotten used to the noise, slowly drifting off to the sound of his son wailing, and as irresponsible it sounded, he didn't care, his mind was already frazzled and numb.
The day was finally coming to an end, sunlight reducing each time the hand of the clock went round. Slowly opening the door, the house was quiet, a strange occurrence you thought, your child usually babbling away somewhere. But as you entered your living room, there was the cutest scene, your husband fast asleep, with your son snoring away on his chest. You knew this would mess up both of their sleeping patterns, but you didn't care knowing how hard of a day your husband had probably had, plus they were too cute to disturb. So, making your way to the kitchen you started dinner, smiling contently at the image of your perfect little family.

reminiscing (fans 2)

genre: angst pronouns: they / them word count: 2.1k warning(s): failed relationship, cursing
fans (part 1)
synopsis: after taking 6 months off from social media, you finally explain to your fans why you took so long and why you needed it.
Tumblr media
go live. *click*
you watched as your chat strolled in and viewer count go up. your computer screen illuminating your face in the dark room as your webcam caught the nervous look. you were shaking your leg up and down, a habit you caught whenever you tried to calm yourself down.
“hi everyone, it’s been a while since my last stream, huh?” you dryly chuckled. “it’s been about.. 6 months since i last streamed and at this point i think i’ve taken enough time to correctly word how i’m going to tell everyone why i decided to take a break from streaming.” you said looking down at the ground and fiddling with your fingers.
“uh, donation notifications will be off for this stream and chat will be on emotes only because i really just want to focus on getting this out. but if you plan on donating, thank you so much, really, it means the world to me.” you said finally looking at your webcam and smiling a bit. you read a chat and answer, “yes, i’m doing okay. i just have a big announcement i want to say after i tell you guys why i took a break.”
you took a deep breath in and started. “ over a year ago, almost 2, i met this guy through a friend and we started talking. it was very little at the beginning but as little as it was, his texts always made me smile.” you scratched the back of your neck. “and as time went on, we started talking more and more and he just became part of my daily routine. when i woke up i’d see a good morning text from him, we’d spend most of our day being on the phone with each other, i was even on facetime with him most of my streams but i had an airpod under my headset so you couldn’t really see it, i almost always fell asleep on facetime with him. i really fell for this guy.” you fondly smiled, looking at your desk, where your phone used to be propped up and you would see clays face just looking at you.
“then we started streaming together. ‘omg he’s a streamer too’ yeah, and a lot of you probably know who i’m talking about at this point but i still won’t disclose who it is. i uh, got a lot of messages from you guys telling me that i looked super happy that stream and i was. i was always happy when i talked to him. but along with those messages i also got a lot of hate, telling me to stay away from him. it didn’t really bother me because i always get hate when i stream with my guy friends; i was used to it.” you said, taking a sip from your water then wiping the side of your eye as it teared up.
“and today... i’ll be going on the dream smp! with the man himself, dream. dream, say hi now.” you introduced, you waited a few seconds but was only met with silence. you grabbed your phone and sent him a voice message, “clay! you’re on deafen! introduce yourself!” you screamed into your phone. dream then took himself off deafen and said. “hi (y/s/n)’s chat! i’m dream, i’ll be showing (y/n) around the smp today and we’re gonna get started on their house.” you smiled fondly when you heard him speak. “yeah! what dream said!”
so you both logged into the dream smp, said hi to sapnap, and dream gave you a tour. you then started building your house in a forest, quite far from everyone else, “i don’t want anyone bothering you or ruining your house when you’re not on.” he explained. you told dream you wanted to build a cottage so if anyone does end up stumbling upon it, it looks welcoming to them. so dream started building your house for you even though you insisted you do it together. “dream! let me help, this is supposed to be my house.” you dragged. “well we can both decorate inside and make it our house.” you started blushing. “i guess..” you mumbled. you then started adventuring out to look for flowers and some things to decorate the house with.
you started placing flowers down into flower pots when you noticed something. “dream there’s only one bedroom.” you mentioned. he slowly turned around to look at you and quickly turned back and placed two beds next to each other. “this is our room, dumbass.”
later that night you checked your twitter dms and saw many people telling you to stop talking to dream and that you weren’t good enough to even know him. you sighed and powered down your phone.
“i think a few weeks after that he asked me if i could fly out to him and we’d meet in person. i was so excited i immediately started packing and i met him. it was amazing! i got to meet the guy i’ve been in love with for the past few months. i think it may have been a year already. but yeah, i finally got to meet him and being in his arms was the best feeling in the world, i felt so safe being with him.”
“it was the day after that, when he asked me on a date and i, of course, said yes. like who would say no to the person they fell in love with... so we went on a date and at the end of it we were just sitting on top of the hood of the car, eating dinner, watching the sunset and talking about a future we wanted together. and it may seem like we were moving fast but i knew 7 months into talking to him that he felt the same way about me. no matter if either of us disclosed it. i could tell and i knew he knew the same about me. then i went home and everything was perfect, i wasn’t his girlfriend yet though because we wanted to wait a bit.”
“that’s when everything went downhill, i think” you looked up to try to stop the tears from going down your face, but they fell anyways so you just let it be.
“we started streaming more and more and i started getting more hate than i usually got, this time getting death threats, people threatening to leak my address if i didn’t stop being friends with him. it was crazy but i was willing to endure it all for him. who cares what people on the internet are going to say to me? i really didn’t because i was happy enough with him that, that happiness overcame whatever type of hate i was getting.” tears kept falling from your eyes but you didn’t bother to wipe it, knowing it would just keep happening.
“dude you’re so annoying! you definitely cheated!” you screamed as you died. through your headset you could hear clay wheezing. “there was no way i was cheating!” he said through his laughs. “ask my chat, they saw the whole thing.” you breathed out, not wanting to believe him till a dono was sent to you, “yeah, (y/n) you just suck at this game,” you gasped, your jaw hanging then you started pouting. it was clipped and one of your viewers sent it to dream. he suddenly started laughing harder and you asked him why he was laughing, with a pout still on your face. “even your chat knows i didn’t cheat!” you started laughing too, till you read a message in the chat saying, “ew, their laugh is ugly. i don’t know why dream likes them.” you stopped laughing but kept a fake smile on your face.
“then he called me and he told me that he didn’t think we should be dating anymore, or even be friends. and i think it was because he saw the hate i was getting and he didn’t like that. he told me a different reason as to why he didn’t think we should date anymore but i didn’t believe it, but i let him go. because i was not going to force him to be with me if he really did mean it. “ you said, sniffling after so you didn’t sound too congested as you spoke.
after you hung up, you curled into a ball and cried. you cried, and cried, and cried. the feeling in your chest hurting more than you could ever imagine. you just lost the guy you wanted to marry, the guy you had spent over a year going to because of your problems, the guys you saw having kids with, the guy that made everything worth it. he was the only person on your mind as the pain in your chest grew. you tweeted and powered your phone off straight after. you didn’t want anyone messaging you asking what was wrong, knowing your friends they would do that.
“so the reason i took a break from streaming was because of that. because i resented the people that sent me hate so much i couldn’t bring myself to stream. i didn’t resent them because they sent me hate. i resent them because the hate they sent me caused the guy i really wanted to be with to make me believe he didn’t love me like i love him.” now, you were sobbing, letting your cry’s out because you had been holding them in for too long.
it had been a few months and you were on snapchat, seeing that you had a memory a year ago today, you checked it. “i think i literally met my soulmate.” with a picture of you and clay in a discord call. your breath got caught in your throat and your breathing became labored. your eyes started stinging as the tears started falling. it’s happening again, all the pain from the day you stopped talking to him came back and once again, you were crying into your hands and you couldn’t stop.
“i had always known that becoming a streamer i would get hate, but i never thought that i would get enough hate to prevent a relationship i really wanted to work. now all i do is reminisce of a guy i wish could be mine”
“streaming has brought me so many opportunities and i am so grateful for everything you guys have done for me, and for me to be able to do something i love and make money from it is insane to me. you guys have given me everything i ever wanted in life up until that point and i am so grateful and appreciative of that. you guys gave me friendships that i will never lose and never forget. so many of you have told me that i’ve saved you and changed your lives but trust me when i say you guys have saved me and changed my life too. i hope i repaid you back by making you smile, being your comfort streamer, and being a support system for each of you. but i think this is my end of the road. i fucking love streaming, i love you guys. but every time i click that “go live” button or even try to, all i think about is him and that’s too painful for me right now. maybe in the future i’ll find my way back here but i can’t promise that.”
“thank you guys, so, so, so, so, much for every single opportunity given to me, for everything. i love you all. my dms are still open. and this was (y/s/n), signing off for possibly the last time. goodbye everyone.”
end stream. *click*
a tear rolling down his face and falling onto his keyboard as he watched you finally say goodbye to your stream. it all just felt like you were saying your last goodbye to him again.
for the last 6 months all clay could do was think about you and how he wished he just messaged you and told you he was sorry and didn’t mean what he said. that he misses you and he would quit streaming if that meant he could be with you. that all he wanted was to feel you in his arms again and just live out the future you two planned together.
but if you just said goodbye to your chat for your last stream because you couldn’t stand the thought of him whenever you tried to stream. how could you ever forgive him?
the thought of never speaking to you hit him once more and again, he cried, sobbed, screamed, threw things, and even then, he knew.. you would never be coming back to him, with every fiber in his being, wishing you would.
