I stumbled across this post probably about midway between good and butterfly. Like. I came across this right before Monday's therapy session and had to words to tell my therapist what was going on in my head. I'd been making slow progress, but in literally the last week something happened happened to help me turn a corner. There's still work to get out and keep going, but there's a glimmer of light.
Ya know when people told me "when you're finally safe enough that you can leave survival mode and start to let go of and process your c-ptsd/trauma things are probably going to get really, really bad before they slowly start to get better" I thought that was reasonable. I did not understand that by "things are going to get bad" they meant "you're going to find yourself in the worst mental state of your entire life, but dw, that means it's working" and tbh I simply wish someone had been more clear.

How bad of a person would I be if I left a note on the dirty dishes (that I pulled out of the dishwasher I had just loaded) telling my roommates to start helping with the dishes or I'm gonna move out

BIG DICK is back in town | Bucky Barnes x f!reader
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Pairings: Boyfriend Bucky Barnes x f!reader Themes: Funny? Just Bucky being a menace to his girlfriend. Summary: Bucky came back from being away for a weeks, now that he's back you can finally play your revenge on him after he pulled a prank on you before he left. A/N: I can't stop laughing while writing this, then again i have a shallow sense of humour. . .
Tumblr media
Bucky had just gotten back into town after a mission that kept him away for weeks. He was expecting a quiet lunch with his girlfriend, and maybe a couple of friends. What he didn’t expect was the t-shirt you handed him that morning.
“Put this on,” you said sweetly, too sweetly, as you tossed the shirt at him.
Bucky raised an eyebrow as he unfolded the shirt. His face immediately twisted in shock and horror when he read the massive, bold black text: “BIG DICK IS BACK IN TOWN.”
He blinked, his mouth slightly open, and then let out a strangled laugh. “No. No way. There’s no way I’m wearing this.”
“Yes way,” you batted your eyelashes, doing your best to look innocent. “You have no choice.”
Bucky glanced at you, then did a double take at the walk-in closet, which was suspiciously empty. All his shirts—gone. Vanished. Not even a single plain tee left hanging. “You’ve got to be kidding me.”
You just crossed your arms, smirking. “Actions have consequences, babe.”
He ran a hand through his hair, still half in disbelief. “This is because of the doll heads, isn’t it?”
“Hm, that was a good one. . .” You look narrowed your eyes at the memory.
Bucky thought it would be funny to buy a bunch of creepy, old-fashioned doll heads from a thrift store. Then, he strategically placed them around the apartment—under your pillow, in the fridge, behind the shower curtain, even in your bag. The final straw had been when you found one staring at you from inside a cereal box.
You had screamed. A lot. Bucky had laughed. A lot.
“But no, this is not about the doll heads.”
Bucky breathily laughed, pinching the bridge of his nose, “It's the arm. It's because of the arm isn't it?”
Your smirk widened. Oh, it was definitely because of the arm. A few days before his mission, Bucky had pulled the ultimate prank on you. He’d convinced you that he had lost his arm—like, the entire vibranium arm—by hiding it in the dishwasher. When you came home and found Bucky lying on the couch, dramatically holding his shoulder and claiming, “I just...I don’t know where I left it,” you freaked out. You tore the place apart looking for it, almost hyperventilating at the thought of your boyfriend wandering around missing a whole limb.
Then Bucky had pointed to the dishwasher after it finished its cycle with the most innocent face in the world. “Oops,” he had said with a wink.
You had not spoken to him for the rest of the day.
So, now, here he was, standing in the bedroom, staring at the most embarrassing t-shirt he had ever seen. And you weren’t done yet.
“So now, you get to wear that and face the public. Including Steve, Sam, and Nat.” you said, your tone dripping with vengeance.
“Oh you didn't,” Bucky muttered with a groan, staring at the shirt like it might burn a hole through his hand. “You invited them, too?”
“Of course. What’s revenge without an audience?”
There was no way out of it. Bucky knew when he was defeated. “I’m never going to live this down.”
You beamed, utterly delighted. “That’s the point, babe.”
With a resigned sigh, Bucky knew he had no choice. This was payback, and you had every right to exact your revenge. Besides, if there was one thing Bucky Barnes wasn’t, it was a coward.
Bucky peeled his old shirt off, revealing his ripped torso, and tossed it casually in your direction. He caught you glancing at him, your eyes momentarily lingering on the sharp definition of his muscles, but you quickly masked your ogling with a smirk.
He paused for effect, stretching a little more than necessary, emphasising every ripple in his abs and arms before picking up the dreaded t-shirt.
"Enjoying the view?" he teased, his lips twitching into a playful grin.
You raised an eyebrow, feigning indifference. "I mean, it's not bad," you said, your voice light with sarcasm. But your eyes betrayed you.
Bucky, now fully aware of the attention, dramatically sighed as he pulled the embarrassing t-shirt over his head.
"Let's just get this over with."
As the bold lettering stretched across his chest, he shot you a look. "You know, this whole revenge thing? It won't save you from what's coming next."
You just chuckled, stepping closer and placing a hand on his chest, right over the words "BIG DICK IS BACK IN TOWN." You looked up at him, a devilish glint in your eyes.
“I'm looking forward to it, Big Dick.”
× × × ×
When Bucky and you arrived at the restaurant, he walked in with his head held high, trying to act like he wasn’t wearing the most humiliating piece of clothing in existence. You, of course, were grinning ear to ear, savouring every second of his discomfort.
As soon as Sam spotted Bucky from across the room, he burst into uncontrollable laughter. “Oh no! Oh no, man, this is too good!”
Steve, grinning like he was trying out a new stand-up routine, shook his head. “You know, Buck, I always figured you had a lot of baggage, but I didn’t think you’d advertise it so boldly.”
Steve continued and gestured to the shirt with a broad smirk. “You sure you want the world to know what we’ve all been suspecting?”
Natasha, biting her lip to suppress a laugh, finally cracked. “I have so many questions. But also, no questions at all,” she said, covering her mouth as she tried and failed to hold in her giggles, while Sam was practically in tears beside her.
“I lost a bet,” Bucky mumbled, sliding into his seat and trying to cover the text with his arms. But every time he moved, the words on his chest seemed to scream louder: “BIG DICK IS BACK IN TOWN.”
You sat next to him, clearly enjoying the show. “He didn’t lose a bet,” you corrected, your grin growing wider. “He’s just paying for his crimes.”
Steve raised an eyebrow, clearly curious. “Crimes?”
Your eyes sparkled as you turned to the table. “He made me think he lost his arm. Like, completely gone. I nearly had a heart attack tearing the house apart trying to find it, and it was in the dishwasher the whole time.”
Sam almost fell off his chair laughing. “That’s—oh man—that’s genius! I mean, that’s terrible, but genius.”
Bucky shot you a side-eye, his lips twitching into a grin despite himself. “She’s out for blood now.”
“And you deserve it,” you said with a wink, sipping your drink.
As lunch kicked off, the group quickly slipped into the usual dynamic, a comfortable mix of teasing, banter, and catching up. Sam was the first to start piling his plate with food. “I don’t know how you survived without my cooking, Buck. These missions must be torture.”
Bucky, still trying to cover up his shirt as much as possible, raised an eyebrow. “You mean burning toast? Yeah, real hardship.”
“Hey, that’s gourmet burnt toast to you, pal,” Sam shot back, pretending to look offended.
Natasha smirked as she picked at her salad. “I’m more curious how you managed to avoid getting your arm stuck in the dishwasher, considering that’s apparently where it lives now.”
Steve, biting into his sandwich, was trying not to laugh with his mouth full. “Can’t believe you actually managed to hide your arm. That’s dedication.”
You snorted, leaning in. “You know what’s worse? He didn’t even try to help me find it. He was just sitting there watching me panic!”
Bucky gave an innocent shrug. “You’re resourceful. I figured you’d find it… eventually.”
Steve shook his head, grinning. “Buck, sometimes I wonder how you survived all those years without us babysitting you.”
Sam nearly choked on his drink. “I’m starting to think Hydra trained him just to prank the people closest to him. That’s some next-level psychological warfare.”
You pointed your fork at Sam. “Exactly! He’s weaponized his own arm, guys. I’m living with a literal menace.”
Bucky looked around the table, a smirk playing on his lips. “Well, you’re all still alive, so I must not be that dangerous.”
“Yet,” Natasha muttered. “Give him another day.”
You glanced at Bucky and laughed. “You know, I did think about ‘accidentally’ sending his arm to Tony’s lab as a prank in return.”
Steve perked up, “Oh, please. Can you imagine the look on Tony’s face when a random metal arm shows up?”
Sam leaned back in his chair, shaking his head. “Man, Stark would never let him live that down. Every time he’d walk into a room, it’d be ‘Need a hand, Buck?’”
Everyone burst out laughing at that, even Bucky, who threw up his hands in mock surrender. “Alright, alright. Maybe I took it a little far.”
You raised an eyebrow. “A little?”
Natasha, with a mischievous grin, leaned over toward Bucky, “So, what’s the next prank in your arsenal, Barnes? Or are you too scared to top the arm stunt?”
Bucky grinned back. “Oh, don’t worry. I’m always planning something.”
“Not if I get you first,” you chimed in, narrowing your eyes at him.
Sam shook his head, chuckling. “I’m staying out of this. You two are gonna end up blowing up your apartment.”
As everyone finished their meals, Bucky was finally starting to relax, the embarrassment of the shirt fading slightly under the barrage of jokes and laughter. But that didn’t stop Sam from leaning in with a sly grin.
“So, Buck,” Sam said, his tone dripping with mischief. “How’s it feel to be back in town?”
Bucky deadpanned, “Empowering. Really, really empowering.”
Natasha snorted into her drink, and Steve, usually the composed one, was struggling not to burst out laughing. “Well, Buck, you’ve definitely made a statement today.”
Just then, a random passerby glanced at Bucky’s shirt, gave him an approving nod, and a thumbs up as they passed, causing the entire table to burst into another round of laughter. Even Bucky couldn’t help but crack a smile at the absurdity of it all.
By the end of lunch, Bucky had to admit, the prank war was far from over. As they stood to leave, he shot you a playful glance. “You know this means war, right?”
You shrugged nonchalantly, still grinning like the cat that got the cream. “Bring it on, Barnes.”
With that, Bucky wrapped an arm around your shoulders, tugging you close as you walked out of the restaurant. He leaned down and pressed a soft kiss to your temple, causing you to smile up at him. Even with the world’s most embarrassing t-shirt on, Bucky Barnes was never one to back down from a challenge — and he was pretty sure you were the best kind of challenge.
As you both approached the car, Bucky opened the door for you, his hand resting on the top of the doorframe like the perfect gentleman. Just as you were about to slide in, a stranger walking by shouted, “Nice shirt, man!”
Bucky paused, shaking his head with a resigned smile, while you burst into laughter from the passenger seat. “Told you it’d be a hit,” you teased.
“Yeah, yeah,” Bucky muttered, closing the door behind you before turning to wave at the stranger, who was still grinning at him.
Bucky got into the driver’s seat and glanced over at you, his smile growing as he shook his head. “You know payback’s gonna be hell for you, right?”

BUCKY BARNES x READER
my everything…
Tumblr media
Summary: Bucky comes back from the events of Thunderbolts* and you GOTTA fix his hair with some tough love.
tags: cursing, bucky barnes x reader, fluff, alpine being a lil shit, already married fic, domestic banter turned sweet, cuddles, kisses, wound dressing, no use of y/n or pronouns, DISCUSSION ABOUT ARM IN THE DAMN DISHWASHER.
notes: i know this shit is written like a 4th grader did it and i really just don’t care enough to fix it BC I NEEDED TO GET THIS DISHWASHER DISCUSSION OFF MY CHEST. plz comment!!!
Bucky has been gone for 3 months now. It isnt uncommon for him to leave for long periods of time but, definitely been hard but you picked up some extra shifts to fill the time.
Last night you heard the front door open and close and quiet footsteps approaching your room as not to wake you. Alpine, who was lying on the end of your bed, picked up her head at the noise.
He came in the bedroom and quietly dropped his bag and coat in the corner and crawled into bed behind you and wrapped his arm around your waist. Alpine crawled over, quietly sniffing out the stranger. Immediately she registered who it was and let out multiple happy chirps and head bumps on his back.
He chuckled at her eagerness.
He turned back to you, whispering in your ear, “hey.”
You’re fully awake now, “Bucky!!”
You rolled over and hugged and kissed his face. Which he happily accepted. The room was very dim. You ran your fingers through his hair. “Getting long again, huh?” You laughed.
He let out a sigh, “Yeah, let’s go back to bed. Wanna see you in the morning.”
His tone indicated he was tired so you quickly nodded and leaned your head down into his chest and fell back asleep with Alpine purring between you two.
~~~~
The next morning you woke up as you usually do, 5 AM with the morning orange glow pouring into your room and alpine screaming at your feet.
“Okay okay!” You laughed, rolling out of bed to feed her.
“I hadn’t missed that.” Bucky laughed, covering his head with the blankets.
You get up and feed the beast and return back to your bedroom to see him, propped up on some pillows rubbing the sleep out of his eyes.
You’re stopped dead in your tracks when you finally make eye contact with him, seeing what you didn’t see in the dim light last night.
“James…” You say in a quiet voice.
“Huh?” He tilts his head in confusion.
“Baby, have you looked in the mirror lately?” You laughed.
“Yeah, why?”
“Because, I love you, but that haircut has to go.” You said annoyed.
“I knew you were gonna say something.” He chuckled.
“Also where the fuck is your arm?” You said crossing your arms.
He stayed silent but you both knew the answer.
“James. Bathroom. Now.” He groaned like a child being punished but rolled out of bed in just a wife beater and some black briefs, which kinda made you less mad at him. He still got a perky little butt you loved from day one.
You followed him into the bathroom and rummaged through the drawers looking for your clippers. He assumed his position, sitting on the side of the tub.
You plugged them in and turned around to face him. Those beautiful blue eyes staring up at you like you hung the moon.
After all these years, you could never truly be mad at him. But you have to act like it so he doesn’t think you’re a pushover.
“Bug…” you say playing with the ends of his hair.
“I know. I know.” He said waving your hand away.
“Like I wouldn’t be so mad if this didn’t look like shit! It looks like you got your hair cut from a middle aged white lady!” You laughed.
“I just haven’t had time.” He says turning his head to watch Alpine push her way into the bathroom, chirping again when she saw him. “Hi my love!” He says patting his lap. She immediately runs over and leaps into his lap and nuzzling his chin.
You flick on the clippers. “She missed you…” you said in a softer tone.
“You think?” He said petting her gently as you made long strokes across his head.
Alpine swatting at the falling pieces of hair.
“Hey hey!” You say swatting the hair out of her paws and mouth. “No!”
She looks up at you confused.
“What’s that for?” Bucky said petting her back.
“James… don’t even get me started.” You say continuing to work your way around his head, more annoyed this time.
“Tell me.”
“Well, YOUR child decided it was a good idea to eat eighteen of my little hair ties while you were gone.” You say while scratching her ears.
“Okay…” he says, inquiring further.
“Okay? Well it cost me two fucking grand on emergency surgery, Buck!”
“Oh.”
“Yeah. Oh! You should be lucky I took her in the second she stopped eating.”
He laughed and looked down at her on his lap, “Did my baby girl give mommy a hard time while Daddy was gone?” She chirped and head butted his chest.
“Don’t laugh! She could have died! Look!” You say reaching over to pick her up under the arms. Her legs sway below her, exposing her belly with a dark pink scar running down her abdomen and hair clipped in a perfect square.
He reached out and grabbed her with his one arm, from your grasp, kissing her forehead. “Oh my poor baby!” He said flipping her onto her back in the crook of his arm like a baby. “She didn’t mean it.” He says looking up at you with those pleading eyes again.
Everytime you see him with that tiny white cat, you cannot help but to feel your heart swell. Just the image of this big strong man with a tiny cat cradled in his arm is enough to melt anyone’s heart.
“Okay okay, well you’re not out of the doghouse yet.” You say finishing up his hair.
“Oh yeah?” He says rocking her softly.
You flip off the clippers and grab the scissors on the counter and walk back over to him, waving the scissors in his face, and bending down to eye level.
“What the fuck did I say about putting your arm in the dishwasher? Huh?” You say grabbing his chin and standing back up straight.
“But-“ he started, trying to defend himself.
“No buts Bucky! That’s nasty!” You say putting your hands on your hips.
“How is it nasty?” He says annoyed.
“Because Buck, you go out and beat the shit out of people with the arm, getting dead guy blood and dirt all over it. Then you come home and put that shit in the same place where we put plates, which we eat off of!” You say, raising your tone again.
“Well-…” he pauses.
You bend back down and kiss his forehead. “My love, I’ve told you, if you want it cleaned, that’s not a problem. Just let me clean it. In the tub. Where I can use bleach to scrub the tub afterwards.”
“Yeah but that means you have to do extra work for me….” He says with tears in his eyes, you can tell no one has ever done this for him before.
You walk over and hug his head onto your stomach. “Bug… listen to me…”
He tilts his head upward to indicate him listening.
“That’s what marriage is about. I’m not doing this because I hate you. I’m doing this because I love you, and I love myself because I don’t wanna eat off plates with dead guy juices on it, but mostly because I love you!”
He chuckles and sniffs, turning his head to wipe his nose on his shoulder. “You sure?” He says putting the cat down onto the floor.
You pull yourself off him and kneel onto the floor in front of him, cupping his cheeks into your hands, thumbing away the stray tears. “Bucky Barnes…. I wouldn’t have taken your last name if I thought you were a burden to me. You did such a good job during the courting phase to show me the good, the bad, and the ugly… and I still said yes.”
He cracked a smile and looked up at you.
“The lengths I would go to give you everything I have… my life, my soul, my body, and everything I own. You are my everything.”
He nodded and pulled you into a warm hug. “I love you so much.” He said with a broken tone.
“I love you too, Bug.”
You spend the next few seconds of the hug rubbing your hands over his back. He winced slightly every time you touched his right side.
“Buck…” you said in a worried tone.
You pull back from the hug and lift up his tank top.
“Baby… that looks bad.” You sighed, sitting back on your heels.
He nodded slowly.
You turn around to grab the first aid kit from the bottom of the cabinet and crawl over to him.
You put some rubbing alcohol onto a cotton pad and start to slowly dab the huge cut running down his back around to his stomach. He scrunched his eyes and clenched his fist and hissed quietly.
“Shhh… I know baby. But it’s gonna get infected if you don’t let me dress it. How long ago did this happen?”
“Couple days…” he mumbled through gritted teeth.
“Did you put anything on it? Actually I don’t wanna know the answer.” You said quickly.
You continue patting the scratch, using up about half of your cotton pads that are now soaked in blood.
He’s white knuckling the side of the tub by time you’re finished.
“Can you do something for me?” You say, cleaning your mess of bloody cotton balls littering the floor.
“I guess?” He says pulling his shirt back down.
“Will you tell me about your wounds.”
He scoffs, “Why?”
“Do I have to repeat the conversation we just had?”
“… no” he muttered.
“Okay then, I don’t want you unnecessarily suffering. Period. End of story. Got it?” You say standing up and opening the bathroom door.
“Got it.”
“Now come on, I’m making you breakfast.” He chuckles and bounces up to follow you to the kitchen.
I’m Stuck!
Summary: Gojo comes home to find you in a compromising position. 🙂‍↕️
Pairing: Gojo Satoru x FAB!Reader
Word Count: 1,602
Warning: P in V, smut, grinding, language, smutty smut!
A/N: This idea came to me while sleep deprived! Enjoy! 😘💚
**MDNI**
Tumblr media
Whenever you were stressed, you tended to clean your deep and Satoru’s condo—from cleaning the windowsills to the floorboards, even going as far as to pull everything out of the cabinets to wipe everything down. The times that you got like this, Gojo knew there was no point in trying to talk you down. It was best to let you have free deep cleaning whatever you wanted.
What he consistently did once you were close to being done with your manic cleaning was ask you what you wanted for dinner, and he would pick it up. That way, you could relax on the couch while you unwind from your stress cleaning. Your boyfriend wasn’t sure why you decided cleaning was the best way to relieve stress. When you mentioned how stressed you were about work, he offered to help you reduce your stress in a much more intimate way. Involving no clothes and several mind-blowing positions would have you feeling stress-free and with no time.
It almost looked like you were contemplating his offer for a moment as if the mere thought of your boyfriend would relieve the stress within your chest. You shot him down as quickly as the idea seemed to process in your mind. There would be time to make love later, but you just wanted to re-organize your house to get your stress back in order.
Satoru, of course, pouted, rolling onto his side at your dismissal of his proposal. You quickly wrapped your arms around his waist, peppering kisses on his shoulder blades. “After I’m done cleaning today, how about you show me those positions firsthand?” The promise of getting to love on you later was enough to get him to stop pouting.
“Babe!” Satoru announced as he tossed his keys into the bowl on the entryway table. “I’m back! So I thought once you shower and eat, we could try that new position I mentioned in passing this morning. I think you’ll like it; it’s called the Snow Angel! It’s pretty much me—”
“Satoru!” Your voice sounded so muffled, but when he had left twenty minutes ago, he was sure he left you in the kitchen. Were you so stressed you decided to clean the pipes in the walls, too? “Thank god you're back!”
“Awe, you missed me, didn’t you?”
“I-I need your help!”
There was a sense of urgency in your voice that had your boyfriend placing the takeout containers on the table before rushing into the kitchen. He found a sight that had his cock standing at attention. Your head was inside one of the lower cabinets near the dishwasher; both your feet were spread apart, and your ass was sticking out in the air. The shorts you were wearing had written up, revealing the perfect curve of your ass.
“Help me~? I'm stuck.”
You had taken every single scene from every porn Gojo had fapped to and brought it into reality. “Oooh, fuck—” Not missing a beat, Satoru rushed forward, both his hands gripping your hips, massaging them. “Yeah, damn, sweetheart, you’re nice and stuck in there, aren’t you?” Long fingers squeezed into your flesh as he positioned himself. “S-Satoru—”
“Mhmm yeah, baby~ want me to help you get unstuck? Need your big, strong boyfriend to pull you out of here?”
“Nnngh~!” Your body jolted forward as your hand slapped the inside of the cabinet, and Gojo began grinding against you faster. “A-Ah fuck, yes, please!”
Grinding his aching cock faster against you. Satoru tilted his head back, gripping your shorts and pulling them down to your knees. “Oooh shit, baby, I think you’re really stuck in there. I might have to push you further in to loosen you up. Do you want that? Want me to push in?” Your boyfriend snickered as he ran his thumb up and down your wet slit, spreading your sticky slick over your entire pussy, before yanking his dick out of his boxers, coding it in the same arousal.
“A-Ahhh fuck~ fuuuck yes please!”
“Oh, baby, it’s gonna be hard to get you out of there.” He spit into his hand, clubbing up his cock. “ I hope you’re ready.”
Nothing could’ve prepared you for ready as your boyfriend shoved all of his long cock into your pussy in one go. Your eyes went wide as you slammed your hands against the cabinet as if doing so would help you grasp onto anything to hold yourself up. The sharp inhale had Gojo sneering as one hand slapped your ass hard, watching it ripple under the smacks, and his hard thrusts had him growling.
Each thrust in and out coats his cock in more of your slick, making a wet squelching sound reverberate off the walls. The lewd sounds egged Satoru on, making him move faster, his hard thrusts becoming harder as he tucked you further inside of the cabinet with a series of low guttural grunts. Your knees buckled, toes curling within your socks as your manicured nails scratched at the shelf your breasts pressed against. In his position, your boyfriend was hitting every sensitive spot in your pussy, making your eyes roll back as you cried out his name.
“Mmmhm, that's right, say my fucking name~!” His hands groped your ass, spreading it so he could watch his cock disappear inside. “Oooh~ your pussy is so greedy, sucking me in~.” He admired how wet his cock was, a white run of your arousal forming around the base of his cock as he grunted. “Oooh fuck baby~ come on, say it~ say my name again, and I’ll give you exactly what you're looking for~”
“S-Satoru~”
“Mmm, louder, sweetheart; you can do better than that.”
“Satoru~!”
“That was better~ but I think I deserve a little more praise for making your cunt feel as good as it does.” one of his hands wrapped around your body, rubbing your clit up and down. “So say it Nnngh, loud—” he slammed against your cervix, making your eyes bug out, “and Sa-aaah! Say it loud!” He pulled out of you before snapping his hips into yours at a pace that forced you to scream as you came around him.
“Satoru!!”
Watching you cum on his cock, was enough to have the little control Gojo had on himself slipped. He fucked you hard and deep, only focusing on himself since you were still cumming, babbling his name like some drunk cock whore. He was hissing as he breathed in and out through his teeth, hissing sound accompanying the wet clap of his balls hitting your clit, extending your orgasm as he began twitching and throbbing deep inside you before ropes of hot thick cum painted your inner walls.
“Cumming baby, cumming, cumming yeah, oooh fuck yeah, that's it!” His hips pushed his come further inside of you, making sure not a single drop of it came out. “Take it all like a good fucking girl.”
You milked every drop out of him, and once your boyfriend was satisfied with the feeling of his cum seeping around him, he pulled out gently, grimacing at the shine that resonated from inside the cabinet. “Sorry, sweetheart,” His large hands groped your ass, spreading your cheeks, twitching as his cum seeped out of your still twitching cunt. “Fuck, look at that creampie.” His fingers scooped up the mixture of your cum, pushing it back inside your soft wet walls. “Hey~ let me eat you out before dinner~” he stood up straight, tucking his cock back into his pants, as he turned to head back to your bedroom. “God, I’m gonna make you cream so hard for fulfilling one of my fantasies.” Instead of listening to the patter of your feet behind him, he heard you collapse to your knees.
Turning around, Satoru blinked as he watched your legs twitch, your head buried inside the cabinet. The only sounds he could hear were of your ragged breathing as he approached you. Had you cummed so hard you lost the mobility of your legs?
“Hey, you good there?”
“I-I’m still stuck.”
Satoru cocked a brow as a look of bewilderment crossed his face. “As much fun as that was, that's gotta be killing your back, come on.” when he tried pulling you back by the shoulder, you didn't budge. “Eh?” His cerulean eyes went wide as he tried again.
“I told you I’m stuck!”
“L-Like, ‘oh step-bro, I’m stuck in the washer,’ stuck, right?”
“No! I'm stuck, as in, my shirt is hooked on a fuckin’ screw stuck!”
“Why the fuck didn't you say that?!”
“Kinda hard to focus when my boyfriend is grinding his cock against me.”
Satoru smirked as he reached down, cupping your ass. “So, in a weird sense, are you telling me that my idea of fucking the stress out of you worked just as well as cleaning.” You were kicking your feet with a grumble.
“Focus, Gojo!”
“Oooh yikes, last name, hold on.” He slid his long arm inside the cabinet hole pulling your shirt off of the screw where you were hooked on, freeing you from your prison. You finally popped your head out, sighing in relief, before Gojo picked you up and carried you to the bedroom. “So ~ which way did you prefer to alleviate your stress?”
You stuck out your bottom lip, crossing your arms over your chest. “—the sex.” Gojo whooped as he threw you on the bed, fully intending to ensure you were stress-free by sundown.
it was currently 11:35 am, you woke up to the tapping and shaking of little hands and the soft call of your daughter. “ mama, mama! we have to get ready. “ saiyana repeats. you open your eyes to your babygirl pouting, you smile softly placing your arms around her holding her in your embrace. “ good morning, yana. “ she hugs you back uttering a sweet greeting. “ good morning mama! “ your eyes shifted to the clock, it was time to get up and get ready. today was father’s day, ran haitani, your ex-boyfriend and father of saiyana was supposed to be coming to pick her up around 12:45 pm.
you lifted your daughter up, while lifting your own body off of the bed slipping on your brown fuzzy slippers. “ you ready to go with papa? “ you asked, pressing your forehead against your daughters while she played with your necklace. “ yes mama “ she chirped. you carried her to the bathroom , standing her on her stepping stool, brushing her teeth and washing her face doing the same thing for yourself. “ what do you want for breakfast, hun? “ you asked while wiping her face with the warm face towel. “ hm.. pancakes!! “ she squealed. your daughter always favored pancakes over any other breakfast dish. “ okay, cmon sweetie. “ you held her hand, helping her down from the stool, leading her to the kitchen.
after around 15 minutes , the pancakes and fruits you had placed on her plate where almost finished. at this point it was almost 12 pm and you still had to dress her and put some actual clothes on, speaking that you only had on some shorts and a tshirt. “ mama i’m all done. “ she had ate all her fruit and only had a few crumbs of her pancakes left. “ okay, you can go pick out your outfit sweetheart. mama’ll come help you get dressed in a few minutes, kay? “ you went a wiped her face and hands with a napkin, she hopped down from the chair and ran to go pick out her cute little outfit.
you laughed before scraping the remainder of food in the trash and placing the dishes in the dishwasher. you turned to the sink and washed your hands, shifting your head once you hear your cell phone ring. “ i wonder who that is.. “ you dried your hands, quickly walking back to your bedroom to grab your phone, picking it up without looking at the name in fear of it sending the caller to voicemail. “ hello? “ you said softly into the phone. “ good morning, darling. “ you hear a familiar voice on the other end. it was ran. “ you two pretty girls awake? ” you turned on your heels, heading back into saiyana’s room seeing the outfit she had picked out, she was actually getting better, before she would pick out costumes and tutus to wear but now she’s picking out cute jean shorts and shirts with shoes to match.
you smiled and answered ran, “ yes, ran. we’re up, she’s already had breakfast, she’s picking out her outfit now. yana, here’s your papa. you remember what i said? “ you whisper the last part to her, and she giggles before you placed the phone on speaker and sitting it on the bed so you can start dressing saiyana. “ hi papa, happy father’s day!! “ she said perfectly just like you asked her to say it. “ aw, thank you sweetheart. thank you so much. i’ll be there to pick you up soon. okay? “ he said sweetly over the phone. you never really understood why you and ran left each other, it just seemed like the right thing to do. he was so busy and you didn’t work as much, but you can’t lie you ended up missing him. it’d take a hell of shit to get you to admit that though. “ okie! byebye papa!! “ she said to him and the phone clicked off.
after saiyana was dressed, you combed through her hair softly while she watched tv, some cute little pony show she liked. you glanced at it, it was pretty interesting. “ all done, you look so pretty, yana. “ she smiled and replied with a small “ thank you mama “ you were so proud of her, she was so well mannered even without you reminding her. you heard knocks at the door, saiyana’s eyes widened and you did the same, to be playful with her. “ i think that’s papa! cmon “ she hopped off her bed and ran to the living room, you went and opened the door revealing who was on the other side.
“ hi papa!! “ saiyana ran up to ran and hugged him and he held up effortlessly. “ hi sweetheart. i missed you. “ he kissed her cheek, closing the door behind him. “ happy father’s day , ran. “ you said to him, your heart warming at the sight of your daughter seeing her dad for the first time in a while, he was away on a business trip before this. “ thank you, darling. “ he turned to face you, his hair was down and he was dressed casually, a white shirt and sweater over it. “ i see you let your hair grow back out. “ you acknowledged referring back to a few months ago when he had cut his hair shorter. “ yeah, i didn’t feel like going to get it cut again. i think i like it longer, what do you think, sweetie? you think papa looks better with long hair? “ he looked at her as she played in his hair. “ yep! it’s super long, i want my hair long like papas! “ she exclaims. “ well i won’t cut it hun. “ you reassured her that if she wanted her hair long she wouldn’t cut it. ran chuckled, before looking at her. “ sweetheart you do have to get trims regularly, that’s the only way you’ll have healthy and long hair. “ he explains , pretending to trim her hair with his fingers. saiyana nods, before laying her head on his shoulder.
“ i’ll come pick her up around 9:30? “ you ask tilting her head. “ any time is fine, love. “ he says. “ okay, i’ll call when i’m on the way. “ you noticed how he kept calling you cute little nicknames. “ alright, sweetie. tell mama bye and give her a kiss. “ he leans her in to you and she wraps her arms around you, kissing your cheek. “ byebye mama, i love you! “ she gave you a pretty smile, “ mama loves you more, i’ll pick you up later. “ you kissed her forehead. “ see you later, darling. “ ran said sweetly. “ byebye, ran. “ you closed the door behind them.
you locked the door and headed back to your room, laying back in the bed. you wondered if maybe ran was having the same thoughts as you, like the whole break up was nonsense. you used to argue a little bit, but it was never nothing serious. never any disloyalty. your family back home, loved him. there was quite frankly, no reason to separate. you just felt like he was always so busy, and it kinda lead you to feel as though he didn’t want the relationship anymore. he did try to reassure you that it wasn’t that, but you guess it was in your best interest to ask if breaking up was best. him being the person he is, never wanting to hold someone where they aren’t happy.. he let you go.
you were in your head so much you didn’t even realize that you fell asleep, you woke up to your phone ringing. you jumped before closing your eyes again, grabbing the phone and putting it to your ear without looking at the caller. a bad habit you had at this point. “ hello? “ you answered very sluggish sounding. “ y/n? are you sleeping? i thought you were coming over here! “ you hear your friend hina on the other end, “ huh.. what hina? “ you groan out of exhaustion. “ y/n. you told me yesterday that you’d come hang with me and emma while the boys were out for father’s day. you said you’d be here at 3, it’s 3:40! “ hina squealed, making you sit up and look the clock. “ shit- my bad i’m on my way. “
you sat up and went to go get ready, putting on some black tights and a tank top, throwing your everyday jacket over it. double checking to make sure you grabbed the little things you were taking you walked out and locked your door behind you. normally you would have walked to hina’s but you had plans to go pick up saiyana after this so you just drove. it took you around 6 minutes to get to hina’s. you hopped out of the car, locking it and knocking on the door. emma was the one to open it and greet you.
“ hi y/n! “ emma hugged you, squeezing you. you hugged her back, “ hi emma, so the boys are gone? “ you questioned, the house being unusually quiet. “ yep. they left about 10 minutes before you got here, “ you nodded. “ saiyana is with ran, i’m guessing? “ emma asked out of curiosity, “ yeah , he came and picked her up from the house earlier. “ you explained before you realized both emma & hina were side-eyeing you. “ what… “ you genuinely were confused on why they were looking at you like that, taking a sip of the drink hina passed you as you sat in between the two.
“ you really don’t want to talk to him about it at least? “ emma asked once again. “ no.. i mean.. i don’t know? “ you were feeling uneasy with the questions. “ you do know!! either you miss him or not. “ hina poked your shoulder. “ i mean i do.. but it just didn’t work out.. i don’t know why “ you shrugged your shoulders , looking at both of them. “ my point! you don’t know why, which means that you don’t have a reason not to try again. “ you sighed, they went on and on about how you two should hash it out like grown ups and talk about why the two of you broke up. you looked at them once again, “ if i agree to talk to him about it, will you two zip it? “ you took another sip of your drink, “ yes! “ they shouted in unison. “ fine, fine. i’ll bring it up. “ rolling your eyes, you finished the drink.
after around 3-4 hours, it was time to go pick up saiyana. and you knew this because the sky was getting darker and you felt the tingling of the few cans flowing through you and you wanted to make the trip before you got too wasted. you said your goodbye’s to emma and hina before hopping in your car and heading into the city to make it to ran’s house. you couldn’t lie your head was spinning, you were nervous to say the least. ran probably had a girlfriend by now, it had been 8 months since you and him called it quits on your relationship. you didn’t have any idea on how to bring it up, or how to go about it. you were on the highway, trying not to speed. you realized you were around 10 minutes away so you decided to call ran, the phone rung.. once.. twice. and then there he was.
“ hi darling, what’s up? “ the way the words had rolled off his tongue had you feeling a bit hot, but then that could have just been the tipsy mindset you had. “ ran.. i- uhm.. i’m on my way to your house. “ you tried not to sound too.. off. but you were far too late, ran noticed the weariness in your voice. “ okay, you alright? you don’t sound too good. “ he said, voice going deeper than usual. you had to get him off the phone or you were going to lose it right there. you adjusted yourself in your seat. “ yeah- i’m fine.. we’ll talk when i get there. “ you said quickly, “ i’ll see you then. “ you hung up after a few seconds. you sped up until you reached the street of ran’s home, carefully pulling into the drive way. “ i can’t believe i’m doing this shit.. fuck. “ you cursed to yourself. deciding that time was only gonna kill you, you hopped out of the car and walked up the walk way, knocking on the door once you reached it.
ran opened the door, looking down at you as soon as he did so. “ darling, come on in. “ he moved over slightly , letting you in. you walked in , uttering a small “ hi, ran. “ you walked in not hearing anything so you already knew that saiyana was asleep. “ i’ll go get her from upstairs.. but before i do that, are you sure you’re alright, love? you sounded troubled over the phone. “ ran moved a bit closer to you, looking deep into your eyes. “ oh yeah- i actually wanted to see if we could talk about something.. i just.. “ you were tailing off, a loss for words and he picked you up right where you lost it. “ of course. come sit with me. “ he lead you to follow him to sit on the couch next to him. once you looked more comfortable, he asked. “ what’s on your mind love? “
after 30 minutes of talking about how “ neither of you did anything wrong” , you found yourself layed over ran, lips crashing against each other, your hands find their way in his hair while his found the familiar curves of your body, caressing them in ways he says he missed so much. “ missed your lips.. you’re so sweet baby. “ he whispered to you, squeezing the flesh of your ass through the thin material of the tights you wore. “ ran.. want you.. please. “ you whined, body aching to be touched at least a little bit. “ he lifted you up, taking you to his bedroom.
once you both entered the room and the door was shut, he layed you on your back, kissing you once again. you can hear him groaning through the kiss, the tent in his pants pressed against your sopping midpoint. your hand reached down to feel it, until he gripped your wrist. “ not yet, pretty thing. be patient, i want to show you how much i missed you. “ he moved down to your neck, sucking and kissing onto your soft spots. you started to let out moans and quiet whimpers, in need of more which he promised to deliver. he removed your top layers of clothing, while you helped him remove his own. he moved lower, cupping your breasts and placing his mouth around the nipple, the right one first. he used his fingers on the left, pinching and twisting it while his mouth sucked and nibbled on the current, he switched once he was satisfied, moving even lower, sliding down your pants and panties.. “ sweetheart.. you gonna let me see? open em f’me.. “ he basically pleaded while opening your legs, bending them and pressing them against your chest. “ hold em for daddy.. can you do that, hm? “ he whispered.. “ answer me, pretty. you know what to say.. “ he reminded you of how he liked to be addressed.
“ yes daddy.. oh- fuck.. “ you stammered out.. feeling a fat glob of his spit fall on your sensitive clit, he went down and sucked it up, licking all over your pussy, making your legs tense and close up, “ mmh, r- daddy.. please oh fuck!!! “ you squealed. ran wasted no time in spanking your ass from beneath you, “ shut it.. don’t you wake my baby up.. “ he warns you, ran was always meaner during sex. he never meant any harm. one of his hands slid up and wrapped around your throat as he sucked and nibbled on your already swollen clit. his finger found it’s way into your mouth and you lapped at his middle and ring finger getting them all wet. once he felt it was good enough, he brought them down and pushed them into your aching hole. “ d-daddy.. wait, i- “ you quivered, legs shaking. “ shhh.. shut up. i need you prepped before i fuck you.. you don’t wanna hurt do you, baby? hm? answer daddy.. “ you shook your head , saying “ no.. i don’t wanna- ah! “ he moved his fingers faster, pressing his tongue flat against your clit. once you started to squeeze his digits, he pulled both his fingers and tongue away. a long string of slick connecting both of them. “ you’re still as wet as ever for me.. such a good girl.. “
“ you ready, pretty thing? “ he was lining the tip of his cock with your opening, “ you know what to say if you want me to stop? “ you nod and heave out, “ yes daddy.. i want it.. “ he smirks before pushing it in , watching you gasp and take in the stretch. “ shh.. it’s okay.. “ he coos at you.. once he’s in until the hilt, he pulls out and pushes back in at a even speed, but he makes sure you take the whole thing, and he means the whole thing. by this point, you’re pressing against his abdomen, and he’s gripping your wrist. “ nuh uh, stop pushing me, love.. you can take it.. take it, baby.. such a pretty girl.. “ he has your eyes rolling back, when he starts to go faster, the tip of his dick hitting your insides just right. “ shit... daddy.. “ you whine out, he knows you like it. he won’t stop until he’s fuck a load deep into you.. his thumb has made it’s way to your clit, rubbing it backs and forth, you’re shaking and on the verge of cumming. “ daddy- i’m.. oh god i’m cumming!! “ you feel his body detach from yours, “ no, not yet. “ he rubs your stomach to soothe you from the fallen orgasm you couldn’t reach just yet.. “ please.. daddy please.. i wanna cum.. “ you beg.
now, he’s behind you and your back is arched, he pushes in, hands placed on your back to balance himself, “ oh fuck.. baby you feel amazing… “ ran grunts out. your mouth is open, at the feeling of his cock so deep in your tummy. you lay your head on the mattress. you’re letting out a river of curses as he begins to go at a fast pace, you’re crying and drooling at the feeling, completely fucked out. it doesn’t take long for him to hit that spot again that has his cock twitching inside you. “ daddy’s gonna cum.. cum in you and get you pregnant all over again, hm? you want that? “ he’s grabbing your hair, pulling your head upward. “ yes- yesyesyes daddy… wantyoutofuckmefull.. oh god!! “ you still haven’t came yet, but you’re really close.. “ can i cum.. please daddy let me cum.. “ you scream, he hisses spanking you once again, “ i told you not to wake my baby.. cum, cum for me. “ once he gives you permission, you’re gushing all over him, and his hot seed is spilling out from the sides of your cunt..
after cleaning you up and getting you nice and comfortable, you and ran lay down falling asleep in each others arms. maybe emma and hina were right about it , there was no excuse not to try again. <3
Master List
Tumblr media
There was one major rule in the Simpson household. Work ended at the door. The Navy was not allowed to step inside and into your relationship. If Beau needed to deal with the Navy on his personal time, he needed to go into his office.
But Beau was going to have to break that rule tonight.
Beau could hear the sounds of your daughters from down the hall as he walked into your house and felt some of the weight already melting off of his shoulders from his long day.
“Daddy!” Maggie, your eldest daughter, squealed, slipping down from her seat.
“Hi, sweetheart.”
Beau bent down and scooped her up into his arms with a bright smile on his face. Setting her on his hip, Beau pressed a kiss to her cheek and fixed the bow in her hair.
“How was your day at school?” Beau asked, walking slowly into the kitchen.
“I got a sticker for being a good line leader!” Maggie announced, causing Beau to smile proudly at her.
“Very good, sweetie. We’re so proud of you.”
“Mommy said that I could have ice cream,” Maggie stated, causing you to turn around from the sink.
“After you finish eating your vegetables, Mags.”
“That sounds fair to me,” Beau replied, setting Maggie back down in her seat. “And I’ll throw in some sprinkles if you finish that broccoli.”
“Promise?” Maggie asked, holding up her pinky finger.
“Promise,” Beau agreed, wrapping his far larger pinky around her own.
Moving onto your younger daughter, Beau clucked his tongue with fake disapproval, causing Parker to grin and giggle up at her dad.
“Ms. Parker, you have far too much tomato sauce on your face,” Beau stated, reaching over to grab a paper towel. Gently holding your daughter’s chin, Beau wiped the sauce off of your daughter’s face before planting a kiss on her chubby cheek. “Were you a good girl for Mommy?”
“Yup!” Parker returned quickly, wearing a mischievous grin that Beau knew was going to give him heart attacks in the future.
“Mostly,” you teased your youngest as you finished up with the dishes.
“Sorry I’m late,” Beau apologized to you, walking over to give you a quick peck in greeting.
“Well, after last night, I assumed that something big was going on,” you assured your husband, setting a plate into the dishwasher.
Beau had gotten a call right around bedtime last night and he didn’t come to bed until the early morning. And you knew what that meant. Something big was going down. And as the Air Boss, your husband was going to be heavily involved. Beau glanced over at your daughters, who were still eating their dinner, before turning back to you.
“You want to break the rule, don’t you?” you guessed, turning to face your husband.
“Am I allowed to break the rule?” Beau asked, causing you to smirk a bit.
“Permission granted, Admiral. Proceed,” you replied, drying off your hands.
“Well, we needed to call in a specialist for this particular event,” Beau started off, folding his arms across his chest. “And we called in someone a little . . . familiar to you.”
You frowned for a bit, your eyes darting back and forth as you ran through the short list of Navy personnel that you were ‘familiar’ with when it suddenly clicked. Setting down the dish towel, you turned to your husband with an incredulous look.
“Maverick?”
“Yes,” Beau confirmed, causing you to raise an eyebrow.
“I thought that he was taken off active-duty years ago,” you replied, causing Beau to nod.
“He was, but Iceman disagreed, and called him in.”
“Oh,” you mumbled, glancing over at the girls.
And how did you know Pete “Maverick” Mitchell? Well, you had technically known him your entire life.
Your mother and Pete Mitchell had a brief tryst that resulted in your existence. But Maverick was never very much around in your life, though you only found out recently, due to your mother’s actions. But after she passed away, you started digging to find out more about your father and reached out to Maverick.
Your relationship with your dad was very slow going. He didn’t even know that you were married to Beau. He knew that you were married with two little girls, but he didn’t know the name of your husband. He never asked. And you didn’t tell him.
“Did you want your whiskey then?” you joked quietly, spinning your wedding band around your finger.
“Not tonight,” Beau replied, straightening up. “We have an early morning tomorrow.” He took a step forward and gently took your hand into his own, rubbing your skin with his thumb. “And you’re alright? With him being in town?”
“Of course, I’m fine with that,” you returned, squeezing your husband’s hand. “I was just surprised.” Reaching up to grab your husband’s shoulders, you massaged his tense muscles. “And between the two of us, I think that you’re the one who’s less alright with him being in town.”
“I just need him to follow my orders,” Beau sighed, shaking his head.
“Oh,” you cooed, cupping your husband’s cheeks with your hands, “you’re definitely going to need some more whiskey. I’ll pick up some more tomorrow for you.”
Pressing a teasing kiss to his lips, you giggled when he pulled you in for more. And you were happy to return it, up until your daughter started screaming bloody murder.
“EW! Daddy! You have to put a dollar in the kissing jar!” Maggie yelled, pointing at the jar in the corner of the kitchen.
Similar to a swear jar, the kissing jar in your household was for when your daughters, mostly Maggie, thought that you and Beau were getting just a little too lovey dovey in front of them. The kissing jar money mostly went to ice cream or other desserts that you bought the girls, which only motivated them to call you and Beau out on it more.
“I will,” Beau promised, smiling over at Maggie. “Right after I give Mommy one last kiss.”
“That’s two dollars!” Maggie demanded as Beau pressed another kiss to your lips.
~~~~~
It was a few days after the mission and you waited with your two girls and the other families for the newly formed Dagger Squad to return to Miramar. Beau had called you yesterday from Hawaii, where the planes stopped to refuel and rest, before heading on to Miramar today. And right on time—which you expected nothing less from your husband—you spotted the planes in the distance.
Once they all landed and taxied off the runway and you were given the all clear from the grounds crew, you pointed your daughters in the direction of the plane that you knew Beau was on. Maggie took off running, already yelling for him, while Parker was happy to catch a ride from you.
“Come on, let’s go see Daddy,” you cooed to your youngest daughter before walking off.
“Who’s that woman?” Hangman wondered aloud, watching you walk across the tarmac.
“Out of your league,” Phoenix replied, not even having to glance up.
“Who do you think she’s here for?”
“Probably her spouse, judging by the toddler in her arms,” Bob added, sharing a look with his pilot.
“She’s probably . . .” Rooster trailed off, blinking with surprise at your appearance. Because you looked oddly familiar to the woman that Maverick showed him a picture of in the infirmary. Maverick mentioned that the woman was his daughter and that they were slowly reconnecting, but that they weren’t very close yet. “Holy shit. Who is she here for?”
“Did Hangman’s bullshit transfer that quickly to you? You were in his backseat for a couple of hours,” Phoenix scoffed, causing Rooster to shake his head.
“No, that’s Maverick’s daughter.”
“Maverick has a daughter?” Hangman asked, turning around.
“Yeah, one that he’s not really close with. So, who is she . . . you gotta be fucking kidding me.”
Maverick and Cyclone stepped off the plane side by side, chatting about what was to come in the next few days since Iceman’s replacement was not yet decided. But before Cyclone could get too wrapped up in the conversation, Warlock tapped Cyclone on the arm and gestured towards the hangar.
Cyclone turned and instantly smiled when he spotted Maggie running towards him, pumping her little arms to run as fast as she could. You trailed behind her with Parker on your hip, but you waved to him as soon as you locked eyes. Maverick followed Cyclone’s gaze, expecting the daughters that Cyclone mentioned very briefly in passing to be teenagers.
But when little six-year-old Maggie leapt into her dad’s waiting arms, Maverick was quietly surprised.
“You’re back!”
“I am back, yes,” Cyclone agreed, hugging his daughter to his chest. “Did you miss me?”
“Yeah, a lot! And Mommy was sad without you!”
“Well, she does like me just a little bit,” Cyclone joked, setting his daughter on his hip. “Were you a good girl for her?”
“Like I promised,” Maggie agreed, holding up her pinky finger. “Parker threw up though.”
“When?” Cyclone asked, instantly concerned.
“Mommy said that she ate too fast and then ran around too much,” Maggie replied, shrugging her shoulders. “It was a few days ago.”
“Daddy!” Parker yelled, causing Beau to look away from Maggie.
You set down a wiggling Parker onto the ground, letting her run the last of the way to her dad. And then you turned to face your own, who was staring at you in shock. You shot him a sheepish smile.
“Surprise,” you breathed out, waving to Maverick, who waved dumbly back.
Cyclone, meanwhile, picked up Parker and held both of his girls. Pressing a kiss to both of their cheeks, Cyclone walked over to you. Turning away from Maverick, you smiled up at your husband and gently cupped his cheeks to pull him in for a soft kiss.
“You’re finally home,” you sighed in relief, rubbing his cheeks with your thumb.
“We’re all home. In one piece,” Cyclone reported, causing you to let out a breath.
Pulling your husband in for another kiss, you wrapped your arms around your little family for a moment. In the background, Hondo slowly waved his hand in front of Maverick’s eyes, shocked himself at the turn of events, but far more amused than Maverick was about it. Pulling away from your husband, you turned to greet your dad.
“Hey, Mav,” you called softly, walking over to him. You gave him a quick hug and squeeze in greeting, all while waiting for his reaction to actually drop. “How are you?”
“Shocked,” Maverick replied, glancing between you and Cyclone. “You . . . he’s your husband?”
“For the past eight years,” Cyclone stated, adjusting his hold on your daughters.
“But . . .” Maverick blinked rapidly, turning back to you. “I mean, isn’t he a bit . . .”
“He is still your superior officer,” Cyclone reminded Maverick, causing you to shoot him the same look that you always did when he got a bit snappy during Navy social events.
“Yes, we’re aware that there’s an age gap between us,” you assured your dad, turning back to Maverick.
“How did the two you of you even meet?”
“Well, I had this ad up on a sugar baby website and—”
“—You know that I don’t like that joke,” Cyclone interjected, causing you to shoot him a playful smile while Maverick’s heart attack receded.
“We met at a wedding actually. Mutual friends. We sat next to each other at the same table and spent most of the night talking. I managed to convince him to dance and then we got together about two weeks after that.”
“Ten days,” Cyclone replied, pressing a kiss to Maggie’s head.
“And these are your daughters?” Maverick asked, looking over at your girls.
“Yes, this is Maggie. She’s six. And that’s Parker. She’s three,” you introduced, pointing out your daughters to Maverick.
“They’re beautiful,” Maverick commented, causing Cyclone to nod towards you.
“They get it from her.”
Maverick nodded in return and you and Cyclone excused yourselves, walking off to greet Warlock’s family. He blinked dumbly, still in disbelief that the fact that his daughter was married to someone like Cyclone of all people. Cyclone? Really? The man was an outstanding aviator, but he was probably at least fifteen years older than you and a stick in the mud.
Hondo’s barely contained laughter caused Maverick to turn towards the warrant officer.
“What?”
“Well, isn’t it ironic that for all the crap that they give you for running around with Penny, an admiral’s daughter, that your own daughter married an admiral? And Cyclone at that.”
“Shut up, Hondo,” Maverick sighed, causing Hondo to burst out laughing and nudge him in the arm.

More Hearts Than Mine-Her Hometown Friends Visit
~More Hearts Than Mine by Ingrid Andress~ Author's Note: back to my fav series Summary: Her hometown friends visit and meet Luke for the first time Warnings: swearing Word Count: 2,871 Luke Hughes x fm!reader
Tumblr media
She wanted everything to be perfect. This was the first time her childhood best friends would be meeting Luke and their apartment. Usually Y/N would go home to visit them but they wanted to meet Luke. And it just so happened to be a weekend where Luke would be home because he had games Friday and Sunday at home.
She kept trying to tell her friends that it would be too hard to have them visit on such a crazy weekend for Luke. But Luke convinced her otherwise. They were no longer in the fight for a playoff spot, all he wanted to do was finish the season strong. He didn’t care that they could be a distraction, maybe he needed one.
She was vigorously wiping the kitchen counter for the fifth time that morning as she waited for her friends to show up. They were driving up from their hometown and it was early. Luke was unloading the dishwasher as he watched her frantically spray the counter again.
“My love, I don’t think it can get any cleaner,” he mumbled as he placed the last of the mugs into the cabinet. She let out a groan as she walked away from the counter towards the bathroom. Luke watched her walk away as he pursed his lips forward. “Okay,” he murmured as he closed the dishwasher. He took a deep breath as he wandered away from the kitchen.
“Baby?” he called out as he followed her towards the bathroom. She didn’t reply. He walked up to the door as he watched her scrub the bathroom counter for the fifth time. “You’ve cleaned that four times already,”
“Well, you should’ve said this weekend was a bad time for them to come visit,” she mumbled as she lifted her head to meet her own gaze in the mirror. He leaned against the door frame as he looked towards her through the mirror.
“You put me on the spot, what was I supposed to say?” he asked softly. She took a deep breath.
“Sorry, they’re just overwhelming sometimes with their ‘we’re so perfect, we’re so in love. Our lives are so perfect’,” she mumbled as she rested the cleaning bottle and the rag onto the counter as she turned towards Luke.
“You don’t need to impress them, they’re your friends,” he explained. She took in a long breath as she nodded.
“You’re right,” she mumbled.
“Of course I am,” he teased as he scanned her frame.
“When are they supposed to be here?” he asked as he stepped into the bathroom, forcing her to step backwards. She met his gaze, watching his eyes squint slightly. His cheeks flushed slightly as he slowly shut the door behind him.
“Maybe another thirty minutes,” she mumbled. He nodded as he quickly took a hold of the end of his shirt and threw it over his head. “Oh,” she mumbled as he quickly took a hold of her cheeks, kissing her urgently. She ran her fingers through his hair as he slowly guided her back towards the shower.
She pulled away, reaching behind her to turn on the shower. “I actually have to shower too,” she mumbled as she pulled the shirt off of her frame, he simply hummed as he quickly began to take off the rest of his clothes. Giggles falling from their lips as they stumble into the shower together.
Another thirty minutes passed as she hopped out of the shower before Luke, she wrapped her towel around her body as she walked out of the bathroom. She began walking towards the bedroom, when there were loud knocks against her front door. “Shit,” she mumbled as she quickly walked into her room.
She reached towards her phone that was ringing on her bed. She took a hold of her phone seeing her friend, Delilah, calling her. She pulled the phone towards her ear as she answered. “Hey, give me a couple minutes,” she mumbled into the phone.
“Door’s unlocked, can we just walk in?” she asked.
“No, I’ll be there in a second, promise,” she mumbled as she quickly slid a pair of jeans up her frame. She hopped slightly as she pulled the phone away from her ear. She ended the call as she dropped the phone onto the bed. She pulled a cropped t-shirt as she covered her frame.
She brushed a piece of wet hair away from her face before she left the bedroom quickly. She banged her hand against the door, “They’re here!” she shouted into the bathroom. Luke shouted something back but she didn’t hear him as she jogged towards the front door of her apartment.
She took a deep breath as she swung the door open. She smiled widely as she saw Delilah and Parker. They were her neighbors and Y/N had spent her whole life watching Delilah and Parker fall in love. They didn’t end up getting together until they were seventeen but the three of them have always been inseparable.
Well, until Delilah and Parker got into a relationship. It became the two of them and sometimes Y/N. So it was always exhausting being around them.
“Come on in!” Y/N forced out as she stepped aside letting the pair step inside. Their eyes quickly danced around the apartment as they walked inside. Scanning each corner and each piece of furniture.
“This place is-” Delilah paused, “It’s cute!” she cheered excitedly, Y/N couldn’t tell if she was genuine or not. She delicately placed her bag onto the kitchen counter. Y/N watched a small piece of dirt fall onto the counter.
“Hi Y/N,” Parker mumbled as he walked towards Y/N. He bear hugged her. Y/N smiled softly as she returned the hug excitedly. “This place is genuinely a lot nicer than some of the places I’ve seen in the city,” he explained. She nodded.
“Well that’s because she has that fancy NHL boyfriend, where is he anyway?” Delilah asked as she continued looking around the apartment, looking at the photo frame on the wall. It was a photo collage on the wall. It was a handful of photos of them with their families. One specific photo stood out. It was a photo of them together at her family’s house. Delilah’s smile faltered slightly at the sight.
“He’s-”
“Hey, sorry,” Luke jogged out of the bedroom, a t-shirt and jeans on his frame. His curls dripped water as he reached the living room. Parker glanced towards Luke, a smirk toying to his lips as he looked towards Y/N’s wet hair.
“Nice to meet you, man,” Parker held out his hand for Luke. Luke smiled as he shook his hand.
“Nice to meet you too,” Luke mumbled as he protectively walked towards Y/N. Loosely wrapping his arm around her waist. He shifted his gaze towards Delilah, she had a small scowl on her face. “I’m the one that actually moved into this place, Y/N lived here first,” Luke said as he pointed his attention towards Delilah, already deciding he wasn’t a huge fan of her.
Delilah had a smile form to her lips once she met Luke’s gaze, “Well, look at that,” Delilah mumbled. Parker took a hold of Delilah and the sinister smirk on her lips fell as her gaze softened.
“So Luke’s playing tonight, and we got some lower bowl seats for us tonight,” Y/N offered as she met Luke’s gaze. Parker perked up as his eyes widened.
“Okay, I was trying to be all cool but dude I’m a huge fan of you and your team,” Parker let out while laughing. Luke smiled shyly as he dropped his head.
“Thanks, that’s-that’s great,” he muttered. Y/N delicately ran her hand up and down Luke’s back soothingly. Knowing that he always feels awkward when situations like this happen. He took a deep breath, “I gotta start getting ready in a couple hours, but we can get some lunch if you guys want,” Luke offered, wanting to change the subject.
“That’d be great! I just want to get changed and ready, Y/N why don’t you help me get dressed and put on makeup?” Delilah offered as she looped her arm around Y/N’s and forced her to where she thought the bedroom was. Y/N glanced towards Luke desperately. Parker dropped his head while hiding his laughter.
Luke looked towards Parker. “Want to sit?” Luke asked, pointing towards the couch as the girls disappeared. Parker nodded as he followed Luke towards the couch. They sat down on the opposite sides, awkward tension filled the air.
“I’m sorry about D,” Parker mumbled as he shifted his gaze towards Luke. Luke clenched his jaw as he met Parker’s gaze, “Her and Y/N have always had a complicated friendship,” Parker expressed.
Luke furrowed his eyebrows as he pressed his lips together. “Delilah has always thought there was competition over everything but especially me,” Luke leaned back against the couch, “Y/N and I were friends first, she’s practically my sister. I never even looked at her that way but Delilah’s always had some jealousy towards Y/N,” he explained.
Luke clenched his jaw, picturing Y/N hugging Parker, suddenly analyzing every touch and glance the pair shared. Parker’s eyes widened, “Y/N never liked me like that, practically my sister, man,”
“I believe you, I do. Just confused as to why Delilah thinks it’s a competition,” Luke explained while crossing his arms over his chest.
“I’m not even sure but she’s always asking me why I picked her over Y/N when there wasn’t even a choice.” Parker explained, “I’m just giving you a heads up, it’s gonna be a long weekend.”
Luke let out a sigh as he stared towards the ceiling.
~~~
“Do you remember that time at Frankie’s party when you got into his hot tub withou-” Delilah started when Y/N kicked her from under the table. “What? You don’t want Luke to find out your secrets from high school,” she teased.
Y/N forced a smile as she panicky took a hold of Luke’s hand from beneath the table. He squeezed her hand a few times as he shoved a dramatic bite of salad into his mouth. “It’s not a secret, just not a story I’m fond of,” she mumbled.
“Oh come on, Parker, you remember! She got that dare from Frankie to get into the hot tub naked with Henry and she did!” Delilah tilted her head back laughing. No one else at the table was laughing.
Y/N took in a sharp breath as she glanced towards Luke and Parker. “I only did that because you told me that is the only way Henry would’ve liked me,” she explained, a small smirk on her lips. “And then we dated for two years. So I guess you were right,” she clenched her jaw as she dropped her gaze back down towards her salad.
“No wonder why your dad didn’t like the guy,” Luke muttered. Y/N rolled her eyes as she squeezed his hand. She hasn’t spoken to her dad since Luke moved in, neither of them have made an effort to speak. He still doesn’t approve of Y/N and Luke living together.
“Yeah, well, my dad doesn’t like you very much right now, so you have no room to talk,” she muttered as she pulled her hand away from his. She reluctantly pushed her chair back away from the table. “I need to use the bathroom,” she muttered.
“I’ll join you,” Delilah offered.
“No, I’m good alone,” she forced out as she walked towards the bathroom.
Luke leaned back in his chair as he let out a long drawn out breath. He pursed his lips forward as he reached up and adjusted the snapback on his head. Delilah shook her head as she mocked the few words that Y/N spoke.
“Why is she so cold?” Delilah offered while clenching her jaw. Luke rolled his eyes as he tilted his head to the side.
“I mean, you could ease up on the mean comments,” Luke let out while meeting her gaze.
“Dude,” Parker warned.
“No, dude, I’m tired of hearing y'all make fun of my girl all the time. Just because you guys have been friends forever doesn’t mean you get to be rude,”
“That’s just how we’ve always been!” she chuckled, “We always make fun of each other,” she smiled. Parker frowned slightly as he tilted his head back.
“That’s funny because I have only heard you make fun of her. Y/N hasn’t even made one rude comment to you,” Luke said while he continued staring down Delilah. Parker took in a shaky breath as he cautiously shook his head.
“Who do you think you are?” Delilah started. Luke rolled his eyes, “You’ve been with her for all of five minutes and you think you know what’s good for her? I’ve known her for forteen years, I think I know how to talk to my best friend,”
Luke took in a sharp breath as he tilted his head back as he watched Y/N walk back from the bathroom, he watched her eyes blink rapidly; forcing the tears away from her eyes. He clenched his jaw. She sat down beside him as she rested her hand onto his thigh, He tilted his head to meet her gaze.
“I’m sorry, that was unfair of me,” she muttered. He smiled softly as he leaned towards her, kissing her briefly.
“It’s okay,” he whispered before he kissed her one more time before he shifted his gaze towards Parker.
Parker looked down towards his lap as he took in a shaky breath. “How the hell did you guys just do that,” Parker asked, a dry chuckle leaving his throat. Delilah furiously shifted her gaze towards Parker, scolding him. “I mean seriously, Baby, we never get over an argument that fast,”
“It wasn’t an argument,” Y/N said while smiling.
“I mean it looked like the start of one,” Parker offered. Luke took a hold of her thigh, running his hand soothingly. “Luke, why didn’t you try to defend yourself?” Delilah scoffed as she crossed her arms over her chest.
“Nothing to defend, I knew it wasn’t personal,” Luke said as he squeezed her thigh.
“See, if I said that she would’ve yelled at me,” Parker muttered as he ran his hand across his chin.
“I am about to yell at you, if you keep dishing our fucking business to Miss Perfect,” she muttered as she stood up. “You know what, I don’t need this. I’m done trying. Let’s go Parker,” she forced out as she began walking away. Parker reluctantly stood up.
“I’m sorry guys,” he mumbled, he met Y/N’s gaze, “I’m really sorry,” Parker followed after her.
~~~
After Luke and Y/N walked back into their apartment, Parker and Delilah’s bags were gone. Y/N was more sad that Parker went with Delilah than standing up for himself. Over the last year, their relationship seemed to hit a rock, as Delilah's insecurities in the relationship took over.
Y/N sat in her seat, waiting for the first period to start. Luke and the rest of the Devils were in the locker room as the zamboni cleaned the ice. She felt someone tap her shoulder, she lifted her gaze to see Parker waiting for her to move so he could sit beside her. She smiled widely. “Parker?” she offered as she stood up. She quickly hugged him. “Where’s D?” she asked. He clenched his jaw as he quickly sat down beside her.
“Gone, she drove home, we’re done,” he muttered as he adjusted the Hischer jersey on his body. Y/N’s eyes widened. “I mean I’ve spent the last decade trying to impress her and make her happy. I’m tired, Y/N,” he mumbled. “You and Luke have been together for what, a year? You guys communicate better than Delilah and I do after five years together. I’m so tired of every little thing I say getting twisted,”
“I’m sorry Parker, I truly thought you guys would’ve ended up together,” she expressed.
He tilted his head back as the introduction to the game began, “Me too,” he slowly licked his lips as he watched the Devils get ready to jump back on the ice for the first period. “Maybe I’ll find her in the city,” he tilted his head to the side, meeting her gaze. Y/N furrowed her eyebrows.
“I’m going to move here and start over. I need a break from that place,” he explained, “And please drop your ego, I wasn’t implying you,” he said while laughing. She tilted her head back while chuckling.
“Like I would pick you over my handsome sweet boyfriend over there,” she teased as she pointed towards forty-three on the ice. Parker rolled his eyes.
“He’s definitely good for you, I’m happy for you,” he said as he switched his gaze back on the ice, “And how could I say no to free Devils games?” he chuckled.
“I’m glad you stayed, Parker,” she offered as she met his gaze. Parker smiled softly.
“Me too,”

Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
authors note happy new years lovies. i hope you all had a safe and fun new year with your friends and families. sorry this was posted a couple days after the new year but i’ve had to go back and fix a few things on this fic. dad!drew is expecting baby #2 omg !!!
summary entering the new year with a new starkey coming into the new year
warnings crying, cussing, family, excitement.
Tumblr media
A few weeks ago you took a pregnancy test and it came back positive. You had a feeling that you were from random cravings and morning sickness. Knowing you are carrying your second baby is a blessing in disguise.
You went to the doctors to get scanned and to find out you are six weeks pregnant. Seeing your second baby made you emotional, you couldn’t believe it.
Tatum was told a day later. It took her a few minutes to calculate there’s a baby in your stomach. Once Drew and you explained to her she started yelling out of excitement.
Drew and you had talked about having another baby in 2024 but you never thought you would find out right when you were entering the new year.
Plus, it was the perfect time to find out and tell your entire family all together on New Year’s Eve.
Your mother contacted you and Drew's mother about celebrating the New Year at their home. Only because Drew and you are always on the go. It felt natural to share your pregnancy news with everyone you care about.
You guys are staying for a two weeks in your hometown. Drew and you grew up in the same town and happened to bump into each other again when he was filming season one of outer banks.
Everyone is at your parent’s house. There was so much going on all at once. The kids were running around the house, football games were on, getting food situated for dinner, and other things too.
"Y/N why aren't you drinking?" Brooke inquired, intrigued. She knows you well enough to know that you will never refuse a drink.
"I'm just not feeling it right now, but maybe later," you say with a smile.
She gives you a puzzled look but nods in understanding. Your sisters in the kitchen looked at each other, then back at you, taken aback by your response to Brooke.
The sound of Tatum's voice filled your ears around the corner of the hall that leads into the kitchen. She turned the corner into the kitchen with her cousin chasing her.
"What are you doing running around, huh?" You chuckled, tickling her sides as she ran past you.
“Bella and I are chasing each other” she laughed, stopping her tracks when she runs into you as she looks back at Bella.
“I can see that, be careful please” you pick her up, placing her on your hip. She lays her head on your shoulder, wrapping her right arm around your neck.
Tatum stayed with you for another two minutes before she wanted down to play with the rest of her cousins.
For dinner, your dad made steak, his famous steaks. There was plenty of food for everyone. The dinner so was delicious, you went for thirds too.
You guys just finished dinner, put the dirty dishes in the dishwasher, cleaned everything else up so your parents didn’t have to do it.
Drew and you were sitting on the couch next to each other watching football with your family. Your head resting on his shoulder, arm wrapped around his arm as a sign of comfort.
"I can't wait to tell them," Drew says quietly in your ear, kissing your head and bringing you closer.
“Me too,” you smile.
As it grew closer to midnight, everyone was hanging out in the living room with a movie on and the kids were in the playroom down the hall watching a Disney movie.
Mackayla and you were talking about the new house Drew and you are planning to build. The house you are in now is a two-bedroom; it's a lovely place, but it's time for a change.
You place Mackayla's daughter, Liliana in your lap and give her a gentle bounce as you explain, "I have cute ideas for the kitchen that I think will make it look more homey."
"Did you see what I sent you yesterday?" she asked, nodding. You can always keep that in mind," referring to the backsplash she has in her kitchen, about which you always rave.
“Everyone thirty more seconds till it’s the new year!” Your older sister, Melissa, yells from the living room, drink in her hand.
Both families gathered in the huge living room with beverages or loud whistles bought from a party store by your mother.
Drew and you look at each other, nodding in agreement to announce the pregnancy. Nervously playing with your hands in a ball, Drew notices and takes your hand in his, squeezing it softly.
When Drew appears in front of Tatum, she raises her arms in a picking gesture. She's wearing a new year's hat and has a whistle ready to go off when the clock strikes midnight.
"I'd like to tell you guys something as we enter this new year together," you say clearly, standing behind your little family.
Everyone was watching you with curiosity.
By this time, the clock is getting closer to midnight. The anxiousness from your families started showing.
“You are making me nervous” Jodie, Drew’s mom blurted.
You turned around noticing the count down getting lower. You put your hands in a prayer motion towards the top of your mouth.
Drew smiles as you gaze up at him, giving him the signal to announce it, "We are welcoming baby Starkey number two in 2024."
What the fuck
Oh my gosh this is amazing
Congratulations you guys!
Best news to start the new year
I’m gonna cry
So many words were being said when Drew made the announcement. Tears were flowing from some family members. You can tell how excited everyone was to hear the news of Starkey number two.
A lot of hugs were exchanged.
“How far along are you?” Jodie asked, “About six weeks” you answer.
“I’m so happy for the both of you sweetheart!” Your dad smiles, bringing you into a hug, rubbing your back.
“Thank you dad” you sniffle.
As you pull away Brooke comes up to you with her jaw dropped, “this explains why you haven’t been drinking today” making you laugh along with everyone else.
“Haha, I love you” Brooke brings you into a warm hug.
Once you three made it back to your airbnb, Tatum was changed into her pj’s and knocked out the minute her head touched the pillow.
Drew and you were laying in bed about to close your eyes till Drew spoke up, “goodnight to my little bundle of joy growing in your mommy’s tummy,” leaning down, kissing your stomach.
“And of course I love you too” he smiles.

BNHA Guys Reacting to Your Kids Cartoons and Movies
Kids shows and movies say some pretty out of pocket things that you usually won’t catch or find funny unless you’re an adult
Characters Included: Bakugo and Kirishima
Part 2
Bakugo
Tumblr media Tumblr media
As Bakugo arrived home he couldn’t help but sigh deeply as he stretched out the stress of the hectic work day. As he turned his key in the door, he didn’t hear the usual loud noise coming from inside the house as you struggled to wrangle the kids into bed. He had hoped that you had gotten them to settle with no issue tonight but his hopes were not high. His brats were terribly energetic at night.
As he strides into the house, hanging his keys on the hook by the door to avoid the hassle of looking for them in the morning he hears the faint sound of the tv coming from the family room. The lights were off but as he got closer he saw the flashing lights of the television. The ash blond man peered into the family room and smiled slightly as he saw his two sons sitting at the coffee table munching on chicken nuggets and some french fries. One had ketchup and one had ranch despite them both being exact carbon copies of him and each other he found it kind of funny that they were quite the opposite of each other when it came to the little things like that.
He decided against nagging them for being up so late. At least they weren’t fighting and that’s all he cared about to be completely honest. He couldn’t imagine having to deal with the bickering after the long day he had. He was about to walk to the kitchen to fix something quick to eat when something on the television caught his attention. The boys were watching ratatouille and the scene where Linguine is attempting to explain his little chef to Colette was on.
“I have this tiny… little…” the character attempts to reveal the rat in his hat that is the secret to his cooking success. Bakugo watches as the woman’s eyes advert down with a slightly disgusted look referring to something more suggestive and he can’t help but bust out laughing causing the boys to turn around with confused looks on their faces
“What?” His oldest son whom was only 8 years old questions him as his 6 year old brother has the same confused look on his features as they watch their father laugh at something that they couldn’t understand. “N-Nothing” he wipes a tear from the corner of his eye “Ah that’s great” he shakes his head as he walks into the kitchen while continuing to laugh.
“What’s so funny?” You raise an eyebrow as you close the dishwasher and start it. As he explains the scene to you, you can’t help but lightly laugh and shake your head at his immaturity for dirty jokes
Kirishima
Tumblr media Tumblr media
You had been out all day. Despite it being your day off you dropped your son off at school this morning, cleaned the entire house, and ran errands until it was time to pick Renji up from school and even then you still had to take him grocery shopping with you. As you walked into the house, cloth grocery bags on each arm you sighed deeply “I helped you mommy!” Your son smiles widely as he hold one of the bags. “Yes you did honey!” You explain as you both set the bags down in the kitchen yours on the island and his on the floor as he could not reach the island just yet.
“Go watch some TV while mommy gets dinner ready, yeah?” You smile at him and he nods “Okay Mommy!” He skips off to the television room that also doubles as his play room so you knew he’d be able to indulge in some of his toys and television while you worked on dinner
You breathed out in relief as you removed your heels. You hated heels even if they were short, you just had to look your best out in public. You couldn’t bare the idea of the media and tabloids saying anything about your appearance so you had made sure to always look your best. Some other pro hero’s wife’s may not care but you did. Maybe it was a bad thing but it would send you spiraling if there was a bad picture of you in the internet.
“Hey I’m home!” You hear your husband call out as he walks into the parlor of your large house. He put his shoes by the door and hangs his coat on the hook. “How’s my beautiful wife?” He gives you a kiss on your forehead “Did you enjoy your day off?” He inquired and you shook your head no. He looks taken aback by this response “No?” He questioned “But why?”
“Oh Eiji, I’ve just been running around all day doing errands” you sigh “I could really use a few minutes” you say as you complete putting away the groceries together. “Mhm” he nods “Do you need anything from me?” He questions and you nod “Yeah, can you watch Renji? He’s in the family room” you explain “Of course, anything for my lovely lady” he gives you a quick kiss and ushers you to go take a warm shower
“But what about dinner?” You ask as you both stand at the foot of the staircase that leads to the upstairs bedrooms “Don’t you worry about anything baby, I’ve got it all handled” he grins as you nod and start your journey up the stairs to the master bedroom.
As Ejirou walks to the doorway of the family room the movie that his son is watching catches his eye. He has always been a sucker for kids movies even as an adult. Renji was watching Toy Story and there was a scene between Woody and Bow Peep “I wanted to thank you for saving my flock” the porcelain doll speaks to the cowboy doll “Oh hey, it was nothing” he shrugs “What do you say I get someone else to watch the sheep tonight” she speaks in a tone almost too sultry for a kids movie “Oh yeah” he chuckles and the scene can’t help but make Kirishima chuckle a little bit
“What’s so funny dad?” The 7 year old turns with a confused look on his face “Nothing that just reminds me of me and your mom” he laughs to himself before walking to the kitchen to start dinner

I have actual fucking brain rot.
I can not stop thinking about how soft Bucky is looking in Thunderbolts trailer, particularly this moment with the dishwasher, like... his sides. That little bit of delicious muffin top. His waistband. That little tummy. His pecs. The soft point of his nipple up against the stark black arm. His nonprosthetic arm, too! He looks thick.
Now, all I can picture is Steve waking up earlier than his boyfriend, barely managing to crawl out of bed away from the sleepy, soft shape of Bucky in their bed, hogging all the blankets and heating up faster than an oven. He looks good enough to eat, though, so his bed-hogging is acceptable. He really does look edible - his boxers are slung low on his pinchable, wide hips and his wife beater has rolled up in his sleep to fully expose the morning-soft, empty slope of his tummy. Probably the only reason he hasn't stripped his beater off is because the stretched fabric has caught around his puffy pecs. His nipples - seemingly pinker and softer by the day - jut through the white fabric. But, they can't just stay in bed all day, so Steve wanders out of the bedroom into the kitchen to get his morning routine going (including making something to eat that isn't his mouthwatering boyfriend).
After a bathroom break, Steve starts on his routine, and they ran the dishwasher overnight, so he starts there.
But, the usually simple morning task has become increasingly more complex and time-consuming, illustrated by how Bucky's arm is far from the only thing in the dishwasher this morning. Thanks to his boyfriend's expanding appetite (and expanding waistline) they're running the washer more often all the time. Plates, bowls, cups, and cutlery fly off their shelves and drawers. Their tableware is getting used. Because, as Steve is rapidly learning, with a bigger appetite comes the need for more types of food with every meal. No longer when they get takeout can they have just two mains to share between themselves, rather they get appetizers, entrees, sides, and desserts. Plus, between meals, Bucky's snacks grow and grow. He's using extra plates, bowls, and cutlery just for a little something-something to keep him going. And that isn't even to mention how when they're cooking from scratch, Bucky will prepare so much food that he needs way more crockery than he used to. He can't store the pile of stirfry he plans to devour in one sitting on a single dinner plate! Don't be ridiculous!
So, more kinds of dishes, frequent snacks, and bigger portions make Stevie a boy with a heavily loaded dishwasher. But... Ultimately, Steve can't complain about how his morning chore is evolving.
He's just finished touring around their kitchen, putting everything back in its place, when Bucky finally comes stumbling out to the land of the living. With every step, his little starter belly jiggles enough to make a growl of hunger rise inside of Steve - the growl isn't from the kind of hunger that has Bucky pressing his organic hand to his butter-soft belly, sinking his hand in with a frown etched into his handsome face, finding just how deep his pit of hunger is. It's been a whole 8 hours since he's had something to eat, after all, and that just won't do.
Steve hand delivers (ha) his freshly washed prosthetic to his grumpy, rumbled morning boyfriend, kissing the red, pillow-lines on his cheek. As Bucky mumbles something of a "thank you" Steve can't stop himself from doing more than just kissing his cheek, his lips slide down his face to nip and bite at the hinge of his softening jaw. He is counting down the days until Bucky develops an honest to God double chin. There's just something about the way that Bucky's face is built that Steve knows will compliment a pudgy chin so perfectly. He'll be rounder and softer and look so... healthy.
Steve just wants to see him put some meat on his bones. He deserves to be well-rested and well-fed.
His arm clicks into place, Bucky shivers with the adjustment, and his belly rumbles again. Steve bites at him a little harder, debating if it's worth the faux grief he'll get from Bucky from trying something so early in the morning (yeah, 10:00 AM, Buck, soooo early) if he sucks a love bite into that bit of softness under his jaw. It probably wouldn't last through breakfast anyway, so what's the harm?
Just as Steve starts to mark his husky boyfriend up, his plans are foiled by the wonderful fucking distraction of said chunky, chubby, grumpy cat boyfriend trying to button the pants he somehow slid his thick thighs and bubble-butt into (they are painted on, Steve swears). Steve's mouth falls away from his jaw with a breathy moan, looking down with the best seat in the house to see Bucky struggle with both arms, trying to make the loop and button of his jeans meet in the middle. The only slight problem? This soft cushion of fat over his once rock-hard abs is so in the way.
He isn't even close to making his pants button, struggling literally around his belly and hips that are pooching out over his waistband. Steve hasn't had a muffin in a long time but, suddenly, he could go for a muffin. Although, no baked good would hit the spot like Bucky can. Bucky and his muffin top giving Steve the worst kind of craving.
Eagerly, Steve plasters himself to his chunky boyfriend's side, staring down, entranced, by how Bucky tries to suck in, not to make it easier to button his pants, Steve realizes quickly, but to try and see what he's working with. He's too fat for his pants, scratch that, he's too fat to see the button on his pants. That's different. There's a fucking difference between outgrowing your pants, gaining enough that you can't make them button anymore, and outgrowing your pants to the point that you can't find the button. That's -
Steve doesn't know how to react other than stifle back a hearty groan and instead, hoarsely comment, "I think you need new pants, Buck."
Bucky lets his head hang against his chest, making his chin double for real.
Steve bites his tongue hard to keep himself from making an embarrassing sound. He looks so soft.
"I think I'm gonna need another arm, too," Bucky murmurs after a beat of silence, talking almost to himself - maybe talking to his belly, looking down the way he is.
Steve can't help but shiver. He's not cool, but he tries to play it cool, shrugging, "eh, I think you should hold off, big boy," Steve can't help the endearment, it just slips out. Big. He is. He's big. Steve wants him bigger so bad that he wants to crawl out of his skin. Steve has a super metabolism, he wakes up voraciously hungry, but right now he could feed purely off of cooking for Bucky and watching him crush a full-course breakfast in his too-tight pants and rolling-up wife beater. "Because there are enough dishes in the dishwasher to tell me you're not done with your growth spurt yet. And you wouldn't wanna bother Shuri too much, making her re-size you twice." Steve is compelled to pat his tummy when it growls again, so he does. There is no stopping him.
He's exactly as soft and jiggly as he looks.
Surprisingly, though, for this being the first time they're talking about this out in the open, Bucky leans into his daring comment. Literally. He rocks back on his heels, pressing his belly into Steve's hand, "fine," he sighs, chuckling to himself, "guess you're right, Rogers. For once."
Steve doesn't take the bait, he just... squeezes Bucky's belly. He's obsessed with this.

Part 2
Price held your hair back, hand rubbing your back as you threw up in the toilet.  This was the third morning in a row that you’d woken up and ran straight to the bathroom. After you’d brushed your teeth and took a shower you meet your husband John in the kitchen.
You scrunched your nose, “What’s that smell?” You asked, trying to figure out what John was cooking.
“Eggs and bacon.” He said as he placed a plate in front of you. You looked at it with uncertainty, before pushing it away from you. “Not hungry, sorry.” You mumbled, not wanting to hurt John’s feelings after he made you breakfast.
Truthfully the thought of eating right now made you nauseous. Which was weird considering you loved eggs and bacon. Actually you loved all things breakfast, you could eat breakfast for every meal.
It was one of the things John loved about you. “Do you want me to make you something else?” John asked, worry apparent in his eyes.
You could always figure out how John was feeling just by looking at his eyes. He showed more than he realized, and after being married for three years it was easy to read him.
You sighed, shacking your head no. “I think I’m just gonna go lay down, I’m still not feeling well.” You got up from the table, placing a kiss on John’s cheek before heading for your shared bedroom.
John watched you retreat to your room. He was starting to get more worried by the day. He found it odd that you were sick, considering that you never got sick. He’d known you for 5 years and only once had you come down with the flu and even then you pushed through, not letting it stop you. Until he basically forced you to rest and give your body time to recover.
He ran a hand down his face, not wanting to think about what could be wrong. After he cleaned up the kitchen and loaded the dishwasher he went to lay down with you.
You were curled up in bed, as he climbed in next to you. Molding his body to yours, and pulling you close. His arm around your stomach. You nestled into him even more, just wanting to be close to your husband.
He traced patterns into your arm as you worked on falling asleep. “Babe?” He questioned unsure if you were asleep.
You hummed, letting him know that you were listening. “Do you think you could be pregnant?” He was hesitant to bring up the question, but it was eating away at him as he laid there with you.
“No.” You answered, already wanting the conversation to be over. You should’ve pretended to be asleep.
“When was the last time you had your period.”
You shrugged your shoulders, ever since you were a teen your period had been irregular. Your gyno had warned you that it might mess with your fertility, making it harder to have kids in the future. You’d warned John when you’d gotten together and again when things got more serious.
He told you that it didn’t matter as long as he had you.
Despite all that it didn’t make it any easier, every time you had to look at a negative pregnancy test. You knew John wanted and family and so did you and no matter how much John reassured you that it wasn’t your fault and he was fine with it just being the two of you it didn’t help lessen the sting.
After a while John started to notice the toll it was taking on you. After every negative you seemed to lose more and more of the light that shined in your eyes. He hated seeing how you seemed to be deteriorating no matter how hard he tried to stop it.
Eventually the two of you stopped buying pregnancy tests and dropped the subject all together. It’d been almost a year since you last took a test and John noticed how you seemed lighter without the subject hanging over you head.
“What if you just take one test?” John suggested. You heaved out a breath throwing the covers off of you.
“No, nothings going to change. It’s going to be negative.” He could tell you were growing irritated. He could tell you just wanted to drop the subject, but something about this time felt different. He had hope which was something he hadn’t had in a quite some time.
“Where are you going?” He asked, getting up to follow.
“A walk.” You said as you slipped on your shoes and a hoodie. “Don’t follow me.” You said before slamming the front door shut.
You knew it wasn’t fair to John, but you hadn’t thought about having a child in a long time. You’d given up on the idea. You knew it was just as hard for John, but he wasn’t the one that had to feel like a failure every time a test came back negative.
He never blamed you, but it didn’t matter. You blamed yourself and that was enough. Even the doctors said everything was fine, when John insisted on getting his sperm count checked.
You were the problem, you were the reason you would never have a family.
John should’ve married someone that could’ve given him children, not you. You were standing in the way of his dreams.
These were the thoughts that made it difficult to get through the day. You felt bad for being rude to John, but sometimes it was easier to avoid the problem than confront it head on.
You finally returned to the house once it started to drizzle. John was waiting on the porch swing, making sure you got back okay.
He didn’t say anything as you entered the house, deciding to stay put and give you your space. He wanted to comfort you, but he knew that sometimes you liked to deal with stuff on your own and when you were ready you would come to him.
A few minutes later the door was opening. You handed him a container with yellow liquid in it. “Here.” You handed him the container.
“Are you sure?”
“No, but if it’s negative don’t tell me and don’t bring the test in the house and after this I don’t want you to bring it up again. I’m sorry for being rude earlier, but it just hurts to much.” He wrapped his arms around you, bringing you into his chest.
“Thank you baby, I love you no matter what.” He kissed you, “You know that right?”
“I know, I love you too. Now go.” You said ushering him off the porch. As much as you tried not to get your hopes up, you secretly hoped he’d tell you the results. You hoped he’d bring the test into the house and you hoped he’d get to bring up the subject again.
You were in the living room, tidying up while trying to keep your mind busy when John returned. You didn’t even have time to process that he was home before he was picking you up and spinning you in a circle.
He had the biggest smile on his face as he kissed you. Butterflies appeared in your stomach, you didn’t even have to ask if the test was positive. You could tell by his reaction, the whole world would be able to tell if they were watching the two of you. After what felt like hours he set you down, his arms still holding you close to him.
“It was positive.” He beamed, as he stared down at you. The smile he had on his face might’ve beat the one he had on your wedding day. You didn’t even have time to respond, before his lips were on yours again.
You hadn’t felt this happy in such a long time and it was like this weight was instantly lifted off your chest. He kissed you over and over again, before breaking away. “Oh my god, I have to tell the team!” He was so giddy that it made you want to cry.
The pure joy radiating off of him, brought tears to your eyes. “Wait, why are you crying?” He asked, instantly becoming worried. He wiped a tear away with the pad of his thumb.
“I don’t know, I’m not sad. I’m happy, so happy.” This time you kissed him, bring him down to your level. You pulled back, “They’re tears of joy.” You laughed.
This right here was everything you ever wanted.

Ur writing is so easy to dive into I desperately need more!!! Is there more???? What happens to this awful wet cat of a woman next?????????????
uuuh. this.
in reference to this, for anyone who finds this just incomprehensible.
It turned out that she wasn't going to be left alone to rot in peace.
It turned out that she wasn't going to be left alone to rot in peace.
On Jessie’s disgustingly cheerful, rainbow-spangled doormat (an impulse purchase from a previous June that currently pissed her off every time she looked at it) a cupcake, a birthday card, and a note torn from a yellow legal pad were waiting for her.
The cupcake was chocolate topped with a mountain of blue buttercream frosting and edible glitter, and if Jessie's day kept going this badly it was probably going to end up being her dinner.
The card, also coated in glitter, wished her a happy birthday and was signed with a flourish from Uncle Ray. Ray wasn’t related to her in any biological sense of the word, but he’d been a friend of Jessie’s father since before Jessie was born, and that had to count for something. It was like her brother always said: family wasn’t about who you were related to, it was about who was there for you.
Uncle Ray was also, unfortunately, the owner of the building Jessie currently lived in and therefore her landlord, which was currently counting for way too much.
On the note he’d left her a hurried, shaky-handed explanation: he was sorry to miss her, hoped she was having fun on her birthday, and as a gift he’d be waiving May’s rent, which they both knew perfectly well was extremely overdue. However, he warned, he expected the money for June right on time at the start of the month, and if she failed to deliver they were going to need to have a very serious talk about Jessie’s status as a tenant moving forward.
And then, because Uncle Ray was Uncle Ray, he’d given her a little wiggle room: a PS, informing her that Mrs. Hoang said her dishwasher was acting up again, and that he’d happily credit the repair towards Jessie’s account if it meant he didn’t have to call in his idiotic repairman. Jessie didn’t understand for the life of her the psychological warfare that was going on between the two of them, or why Ray didn’t just fire the poor dunce if he hated him so much, but she wasn’t going to turn down the opportunity to get paid for hanging out with Mrs. Hoang. Jessie loved old people, and Mrs. Hoang was a hoot.
She pretended not to see the second maintenance job he offered her, fixing up a dryer and a washer in the basement that had both started spitting people’s quarters back out at them when they were done running. It had taken Jessie a long time to figure out how to make them do that, and she wasn’t one to foul up her own handiwork.
Alright. Alright. This wasn't good, exactly, but she had somewhere to start, something to keep her occupied instead of completely falling apart. If she didn't give herself a little task right this second she would probably do what she had been doing for days at a time ever since Jonas left: wallowing in her own misery, eating weed gummies and jacking off, listening to true crime podcasts and shopping online until it was time to microwave something for dinner. If the morons in the Brig could see her like that they would cream their standard issue sweatpants. She decided to implement a new rule of personal conduct: whenever she found herself doing something that would make Whirligig feel like she was winning their friend breakup, Jessie had to cut that shit out immediately.
With that in mind, Jessie dragged herself to the bathroom to shower off the morning’s disgrace and wash her hair for the first time in, arguably, too many days. When the hot water ran out, something that she would be holding her uncle accountable for, she toweled off and crawled into a ratty tank top and snowflake-patterned pajama pants. A laundry day outfit for sure, but a.) it actually was laundry day, thank you very much, and b.) she deserved some time in soft clothing after spending the night packed into her catsuit like a can of spam. Then came the first of several trips up and down too many flights of stairs, because despite the criminal lack of an elevator Jessie was determined to throw all of her heaps of laundry into the wash at once. It was sort of a dick move, monopolizing all the washers like that, but she couldn’t wait around all day and her neighbors would forgive her when they realized that all of the machines would spit their change back out now. What, like Jessie had enough quarters for that many loads of laundry? In this economy?
Then she shuffled to the second floor to see Mrs. Hoang, who didn’t care that she was in pajamas and insisted that Jessie stay to have some soup before she started fiddling with the dishwasher. It was a damn good soup, extra spicy bún bò that filled her up so well that she was glad she’d neglected to eat her cupcake. Jessie ate it without saying much, offering a sympathetic ear and supportive scoffs while Mrs. Hoang talked about the convoluted feuds she kept up with various shopkeepers and other elderly women in the neighborhood.
As usual Mrs. Hoang left the TV on while she talked, the news turned down to almost nothing. She hardly seemed to notice it was on, but Jessie’s eye was caught when the puff pieces dissolved into a scene from downtown earlier that day. Nothing too shocking, by Rustbelt’s standards: Ricochet, red and self-righteous, duking it out with some new nobody on the scene, disrupting downtown traffic earlier that afternoon. Jessie ran the numbers, and figured this must have taken place not long at all after she was ingloriously dispatched from N.E.X.T. Had Ric already known? Was that why she was in such a hurry to send Jessie packing? It was nice to imagine there was a reason rather than her archenemy being an asshole, but she knew it was more likely the latter.
In any case, the new kid hardly seemed like he was worth it. Sure, he was putting on a show. Whatever his trick was, he managed to shatter every pane of glass out of the sparkling facade of the Van Houten Charitable Foundation, a window virtually made of buildings, and send the shards surging across Central Square straight at Ricochet. She was fine, of course, boinging away to safety like the world’s bitchiest little frog, but the cars and businesses around her were definitely going to need some TLC. Hopefully they had powers insurance; you’d have to be a fool to live in Rustbelt without it. And this was a crystal clear claim, in Jessie’s inexpert opinion, caught on camera from multiple angles and everything.
But the actual so-called villain? Pathetic. Amateur hour. Nobody knew his name, for one, because he hadn’t bothered to announce himself, so the chyron at the bottom of the screen could only refer to him as “mystery criminal.” Hardly inspiring stuff; nobody was going to be shelling out for merch of Mystery Criminal. And he hadn’t even bothered to get a decent outfit together, instead showing up in ratty black skinny jeans and a green hoodie like he was fresh off a shift at Hot Topic. He was wearing a backpack, for fucks sake! The only points Jessie would give him were for the fact that he’d at least had the presence of mind to keep the hood up, which was concealing his face to an impressive degree. None of the security cameras or cell phone footage seemed to have gotten a clear look at his face, so at least that was something.
Still, she wasn’t impressed.
“I can’t stand it when these wannabes come crawling out of the woodwork with no direction, no goals, no panache, no nothing,” she said to Mrs. Hoang. “Like, you’re not a villain just because you have powers. If you’re not going to put any artistry into it, you might as well just put your hand in your pocket to pretend you have a gun and go rob a 7/11.”
“Well, not everyone can be as professional as you. You’ve got the passion for it, more than anybody I’ve ever met in my life.” Mrs. Hoang said from beside the kitchen window, where she was on her second cigarette and blowing smoke rings. She was a pack a day kind of broad with a voice to match, and Jessie admired the old-school panache even if she shuddered to imagine the state of Mrs. Hoang’s lungs.
The compliment made her blush. “Thank you. You really mean that?”
Mrs. Hoang shrugged. “I’ve met every type of criminal they make, right? And nobody’s having more fun than you. There are kingpins living in palaces on their own tropical islands who don’t like what they do as much as you do. I think you’re made for this.”
“God, thank you. I’ve been kind of, like, second-guessing myself lately.”
“What? Since when?”
“I don’t know. Like, this morning?”
Jessie gave Mrs. Hoang the abridged version, leaving out details here and there that made her seem extra pathetic—namely, the thing about Ricochet’s secret identity. Jessie didn’t mind painting herself as a victim of N.E.X.T.’s bullying, but she didn’t want to implicate Jonas in anything. The two of them had to present a united front always; that was one of their rules. Still, she was pretty sure she got across exactly how fucked she was, which was why it surprised her when Mrs. Hoang simply shrugged her bony shoulders again.
“You’ll figure it out,” she proclaimed.
“Yeah but, like, how?”
“Well, that part’s not my job. What, you think I’m going to train you? You think I’m trying to be your fucking Mr. Miyagi?” Mrs. Hoang cackled so hard at her own joke that she made herself cough, pounding her chest until she got it back together. “Look, you’re a great girl. I’d let you marry one of my grandsons.”
“You said you’d disown them if they married white people!”
“Eh, I’m getting desperate with this one. He’s a good boy, smart, but he’s got no direction. No ambition. All he does after work is go home to play his video games. I think girls scare him.” She looked at Jessie meaningfully. “He’d be an easy husband, is all I’m saying. He works in tech, makes lots of money that you could spend however you want. And a tough girl like you could really sort him out.”
“I really appreciate it, but I’m not marrying your cringefail loser grandson. That feels wrong, somehow. Like, extremely wrong. I feel like you’re trying to sell him to me.”
“See? You’re a good girl,” Mrs. Hoang said. “But you’re also an eel. That’s the point I was getting to. You’re slippery. You’ll wiggle around and bite whoever you need to so you can survive, because you have to. What else would you do? What is there for you, if not being a villain?”
That wasn’t a rhetorical question; she had a hard look to her face like she actually expected answers. So Jessie scrambled, trying to come up with anything else she might feasibly do to pay the bills.
“I mean, sales? I used to do that.”
“Where’s the last place you were a salesgirl?”
“This snooty-ass jewelry place in the mall. Mostly selling engagement rings and stuff. I kind of hated it, and they ended up firing me for, you know. Stealing an engagement ring with a big honkin’ diamond in it.”
“You can’t work sales, girl. You love to steal.”
“Okay! But what about, like, waitressing?”
“You’ve done that before?”
“No, but I know how restaurants work. I can hold things. I’m good with people. How hard can it be?”
Mrs. Hoang waved her cigarette scoldingly in Jessie’s direction. “First of all, you apologize to waitresses. That’s skilled work. You can hold things, but what are you going to  do when some tight-ass starts yelling at you for not bringing her shitty kid enough chicken strips? And your feet hurt, and half your dipshit coworkers didn't show up for shift, the head cook is on meth, and nobody's tipping worth shit?”
Jessie tried and failed a few times to come up with what was probably the right answer, and ultimately landed on something a lot closer to the truth. “I don’t know, call in a bomb threat and go home early? Jesus Christ, that sounds like a nightmare.”
“Apologize to waitresses!”
“Sorry, waitresses.” She rolled something around in her mouth, unsure if she should say it at all, then figured it couldn’t hurt to dig herself in a little deeper. “There’s this other place that’s, like, super shady and hires girls who don’t even have to serve the wings, they just walk around in costumes. So like models, basically. It’s superhero themed, and they just have all these girls there to hang out dressed up as the slutty Halloween costume version of heroes and villains and stuff. I figure they might hire me on the spot if they realize who I am, because having the real Frostbite is kind of a get, right? And then I get paid to just, like, hang out with other cute girls and take pictures with people like a character at Disneyland.” Not that Jessie had ever been to Disneyland, but she gets the idea.
“Okay, so what’s stopping you from doing that? Go apply right now.”
Jessie groaned. “But, like, I know that the first time some guy gets too grabby I’m going to break his fingers and get turbo fired. And also there’s a chance that they’ll tell me I’m too fat to play Frostbite, which is, like, you know. Obviously I’ll just have to burn the entire restaurant down, which is probably illegal.”
Mrs. Hoang nodded like this was all going about as well as she’d expected. “Anything else?”
“Well, like, I have the crafting thing, right? Like, I take some commissions and stuff. I could pivot to do that full time?”
“No. Never try to make a hobby your whole life. You’ll end up hating it.” Mrs. Hoang nodded to the soup simmering on the stove, making a face. “I like to cook. You know what happened when I tried to start a restaurant?”
“You ended up having to burn it down, change your name, and leave San Jose forever.”
“And kill my second husband.”
“You killed your… I don’t know if you’ve ever told me that part before.”
Mrs. Hoang shrugged, as if to say that sometimes second husbands had to die and there was nothing that could be done about it. “He was more of a business partner than a husband, really. Not a lot of love. Sometimes it’s the partner that’s the problem, you know what I mean?”
“I’m not killing my brother,” Jessie said flatly.
“No, no. But you don’t need him, either. You’re smart, tough, quick-thinker. Go find someone else to do crime with you. You want to hang around with pretty girls in costumes so much, go find some yourself. Every big villain I see on TV, he’s got some lay sidekick in a sparkly little outfit. Why not you?”
“I mean, those girls are all union. I can’t afford moll rates.”
“So don’t hire a professional, dumbass. Get a friend,” Mrs. Hoang said. She flicked a little ash off her cigarette derisively. “You remember how to do that?”
“Yeah,” said Jessie, who wasn’t actually sure of that at all. When was the last time she’d made a friend? There was Whirligig, which had obviously been an ass-shattering disaster. Even before it broke really bad, there had never really been a lot of love between them. Then there was Xochitl, who Jessie actually liked and had still managed to completely blow her chances with. That one was still so raw that she couldn’t even joke about it. God, why couldn’t Xo have just yelled at her like a normal person? It would be so much easier if they could just hate each other now. And she’d made a hell of an effort with Night Noir when they did that little crossover job in the fall, but all that had gotten her was the worst ghosting of her life.
Maybe she didn’t actually know how to make a friend. Maybe she could start by finding a henchperson and figure it out from there. She didn’t really need a friend friend, right? A partner would suffice. Anyone to fill the Jonas-shaped void while Jessie figured out how to go it alone. Sure, she and her brother had been a team. But anyone could watch her back, right? That was hardly skilled labor.
“You really think I can do it? Run my own shit?”
It was a question for herself as much as for Mrs. Hoang, one of the biggest things that had been pinning her into inaction for the past few months even as it became increasingly clear that she needed to do literally anything. The solution was obvious, really; there was no other path Jessie could take. But the prospect of figuring out how to do it all alone, of having to stand without Jonas’ support for the first time in her life, was scaring her shitless.
Mrs. Hoang sighed. “What do you like about it? Being a villain?”
Jessie hadn’t expected another question, but this time she was immediately ready with an answer.
“It’s fun. I mean, it’s hard and stressful and it's kind of scary, but it’s never boring. Every job is a different challenge, and I really like that. And things actually happen. At most jobs you do the same thing over and over again every day to try and keep everything the same forever, right? If you do everything right, nothing really changes. Best case scenario, some months you sell more stuff than last month. But if I do my job right I get to go home with a diamond the size of my ass cheek, because I was smart enough and tough enough and ballsy enough to take it when nobody else was. And there’s no CEO or boss or board of directors who get to take a cut or give me a bad performance review or anything. Nobody can fire me. Nobody can tell me what to do. I’m free to do whatever I want.”
She stumbled a little on the last part, because it wasn’t exactly true anymore. Ricochet very much had told her what to do, had even taken away her freeze ray to really rub it in, and Jessie had no fucking idea what she was supposed to do about that. She had spent years thinking of Ricochet like a yappy little dog, irksome but easy enough to kick away when she got too annoying. And now it turned out she wasn’t scared of Jessie and never had been, and Jessie’s head was still spinning.
Mrs. Hoang cleared her throat, snatching Jessie’s attention back. “You know how you look, when you talk about it?”
“What?”
“You talk about being a villain like you’re in love. You get this look on your face like my third husband used to get, back when we were falling in love.”
“The one in Rikers?”
“God bless him.” Mrs. Hoang crossed herself in the wrong order, cigarette trailing a smoky crucifix across her chest. “Listen to me: you look happier talking about crime than most people do talking about their own children. We all have to work until we die on this bitch of an earth, so if you can make money doing something you don’t hate, why would you let that go? Because your brother’s not around? Your brother’s a bastard. You don’t need him.”
“Hey.”
“I know you love him, but you’re a smart girl. You can love someone and know they’re a bastard. That’s my third husband, too. You’re tough. You’re a survivor. And you never take no for an answer. So why the hell are you waiting for an old woman to tell you that you can do it?”
“You’re right. Oh my god, you’re so right.” Jessie stood up, awkwardly smoothing out her pajama pants. Suddenly she was feeling hideously underdressed, embarrassed to have even gone outside of her apartment like this. She had a reputation to maintain. “Thank you so much for this. What time is it? I need to get moving. I have to get my life together.”
“Eh eh, hold on.” Mrs. Hoang snapped her fingers impatiently. “You need to fix my dishwasher first. It’s making that noise again. I can’t stand that shit.”
“Oh, fuck. Sorry. Hang on.” Jessie immediately redirected that energy back into the kitchen, yanking open the dishwasher and dropping straight to the floor. “Seriously, thank you so much. I really appreciate it when you let me pick your brain like this. You don’t happen to have a cringe pushover granddaughter, do you? I’d marry her in a heartbeat.”
“Nice try. All of my granddaughters are brilliant and mean.”
“God, that’s hot.”
“I’m very proud. I’ll pack up some leftovers for you, okay? I know you’ve been sad without your bastard brother around. It’s hard to eat when you’re sad. You should have come to see me sooner, so I could feed you.”
“I’m really sorry,” Jessie told her, and meant it. “I’ve been in kind of a funk, you know? But I’m trying to shake it off now. I promise.”
That was an understatement. What remained of the afternoon passed in a blur, with Jessie cramming in as much as she could to make up for lost time. She actually put away all of her clean clothes when they were done drying instead of leaving them to rot in the laundry basket, got dressed in a proper functioning outside outfit, and styled her hair and slapped on a little eyeliner and lip gloss for good measure. Then she went to see Isaac, the sweet Zimbabwean grad student across the hall. She’d been letting him use her Wi-Fi since he moved in and had knitted him a scarf to get him through the winter, and he’d always sworn he owed her a big favor for it while Jessie swore that he didn’t owe her anything at all.
Well, the times were a-changing, and Jessie was coming to collect.
He was surprised to see her but didn’t refuse when she asked to go to the grocery store, or ask questions when she insisted on going to the fancy one that was well outside of their neighborhood. Jessie recommended, as delicately as possible, that he stay in the car while she shopped, and if he suspected that she’d stolen every single item in her overstuffed cart then he was polite enough not to say anything about it. It was a risky move, for sure, but if Jessie had learned anything as a child it was that even the worst circumstances seemed a little better when you at least had a full pantry, and she needed to save the last of her dwindling cash for bigger and better things.
One-Eyed Polly’s was cash-only, after all, and somehow it always came back to One-Eyed Polly’s.
According to family legend, everything had actually started there for Jessie, specifically in the middle stall of the women’s bathroom where her mother’s water broke. Yes, her mother really was the kind of bitch who was still hanging out at the local bad guy bar shooting the shit and hustling people at pool while she was nine months pregnant. Explains some things, doesn’t it?
Anyway, Jesie spent her childhood obsessed with the idea of the place. It was a mythical location in her little kid brain, like the White House or the North Pole. God only knew what actually went on in there, but her imagination was filling in the gaps in the most lurid way possible. Polly’s was where Dad went to find work when every other lead dried up and the family was getting desperate, their saving grace. Dad would slink off to Polly’s when the power was about to get turned off, and he’d come back flush with confidence and enough money that the family wouldn’t have to worry for a few more months.
He never told Jessie much about Polly’s when she pressed, or anything else about his work. From Jonas she had gathered that their dad, gentle and bumbling as he was, had been an enforcer once, what Jonas scathingly called dumb muscle. It made sense, physically; Jonas and Dad were built exactly alike, tall and broad and sort of looming huge no matter what they did to seem smaller. But Dad didn’t do that anymore, not in years. These days he kept his head low, mostly serving as a driver, but he still wasn’t sharing any details.
In young Jessie’s mind Polly’s was a nightclub like the ones on cop shows, dark rooms with throbbing music where sexily-dressed people writhed through smoke and neon lights. The villains would lean up against the walls, watching the crowd with a sharp gaze until they found just what they were looking for, and then they’d smile and beckon the lucky hench who’d caught their eye. You. And the crowds would part to let the chosen one through, everyone envious of whatever trait had been enough to deem them worthy.
Admittedly it was hard to picture her deeply uncool dad in such a setting, but it must have worked out somehow.
She didn’t actually get to see what Polly’s was like until she was thirteen, and that was still too early as far as Jonas was concerned. Before they went in he’d given her a whole lecture in the car, his knuckles white on the steering wheel even though they were parked.
“I’m going to walk you up to the bar and have you sit with Maudie, alright? She’ll take care of you.”
“Will she make me a drink?” Jessie asked. She was avoiding looking at her brother because she didn’t want him to see how excited she was, or that she’d been experimenting with eyeliner and mascara. He wouldn’t care that she was wearing makeup, but he would want to know where she got it and he’d probably guess that she’d also been experimenting with shoplifting. Best to annoy him on purpose so he had something else to be grouchy about.
It worked perfectly, and he made a sound of deep distress like he thought she was being serious. “You can’t drink. She’ll find you a chocolate milk or something, and then you’ll hang out with her until I’m done with my meeting. Don’t talk to anybody else, okay?”
“Why not?”
“Stranger danger, Jess, come on. People are freaks in here.”
“You’re here.”
“Because I have to be, alright? I don’t like it.” Jonas rubbed his eyes, looking tired. He’d looked tired since he moved out of their parents’ house, so much that Jessie worried about his health. She swore he was starting to get gray hairs, even though he’d only just turned twenty-one.
“What am I allowed to do?”
“Have a nice conversation with Maud. Tell her about how good you’re doing in school.”
“I’m not doing good in school.”
“Then you better come up with something nice to talk about, because you’re not doing anything else. Don’t even look at anybody too much, people get twitchy if you start doing that in case you’re a snitch.”
“Am I allowed to piss?”
He looked strained, the way he always did when she swore for no reason. “Have Maudie go with you.”
“Seriously? I’m not a baby, I can go to the bathroom by myself.” Jessie couldn’t even imagine what kind of trouble he thought she would get into there. In health class they’d said that people hung out in strange bathrooms to offer kids drugs, but that seemed stupid to Jessie. She would probably take a drug if it was free, just to see what it was like, but someone giving something away for no money seemed like a stupid idea to her even though she’d gotten detention for saying it.
Anyway, Maudie wouldn’t let something like that happen in her bar.
“I know you can wipe yourself, doofus, but you’re also gonna meet someone and start talking their ear off,” Jonas was saying. “Don’t do that.”
“Gaaaaawd. Why don’t you just leave me in the car if you’re so worried about it?”
“Because that’s child abuse. Any more questions?”
She could have asked questions forever, if he’d let her, but she was getting antsy and didn’t want to make him late, so she zipped her lips and shook her head.
Jonas steered her inside with a big hand on her shoulder, his skin a little chilly even through his stupid little driving gloves. When they stepped through the door Jessie’s hopes momentarily soared, then immediately crashed and hit the ground like a dead seagull. Where was the pounding synth and the sex appeal? This was just a boring room with worn-out furniture and a pool table and completely normal lighting shining down on a scratch-up wooden floor. The most notable features were a jukebox blasting old people rock that made Jessie think of her dad and an ashtray smell that made her think of her mom.
Her brother steered her straight back to the bar, where a graying butch was waiting with a dusty can of grape soda that had clearly been dug up from somewhere deep in the bowels of the basement.
“Heya, tyke,” Maudie said, unsmiling.
“Heya, dyke,” Jessie said, with a shit-eating grin. She swung herself up onto one of the barstools, kicking her legs eagerly. “How’s it hanging?”
“Same old.” Maud turned to Jonas, somber. “Recluse is already waiting for you in the corner.”
Jessie swiveled all the way around her stool to have a look, and was delighted to see a menacing figure occupying the big booth jammed into a corner at the back of the room. She was wearing a lengthy trench coat that was bulging in the back, with long, bristling black spider limbs poking out at angles that didn’t seem like they should work.
“Holy shit,” Jessie said, right before her brother spun her forcibly back around to look at Maud.
“Do not,” he said. “Please. I’ll be right back.”
He patted the top of her head and left, hunching his shoulders the way he did when he wanted to look even bigger and wider. Maudie sighed, long and slow.
“How’s school, kid?”
“Stupid. I wish it was summer.”
“Yeah? What are you going to do when school’s out?”
“I don’t know. Watch TV. Who’s Recluse?”
“Trouble. Mind your own business.”
“Why’s Jonas talking to her?”
“How am I supposed to know?”
“Does she owe him money?”
“How about I put this pop in a margarita glass, huh? Would that be fun for you?”
“Can I have a little paper umbrella?”
“We don’t do those here. You get the fancy glass, take it or leave it.”
“Take it.”
The grape soda tasted musty, the carbonated fizz warm on her tongue, but Jessie sipped it anyway to be polite, swirling it the way she saw women do with wine glasses on TV. Her eyes were swiveling over the glass, trying to get a look at anyone else inside without being obvious about it. There was mostly nothing to see except a lot of sad, slouchy men who looked like her dad, but over at the dartboard there was a woman that Jessie wanted to look at forever.
There were some men with her, too, but she was clearly the center of the situation. Tall and leggy (in the normal way, not like Recluse), pale and dark-haired, face filled with all kinds of exciting piercings that Jessie hadn’t previously realized were even possible. Her outfit was all black, shiny black boots and a black cropped t-shirt and tight black pants that rode low enough to show off a skeletal stomach and jutting hips. God, even her belly button was pierced. Her whole body was like a knife, nothing but sharp edges and bits of metal. As Jessie watched, the pointy woman flipped a dart backwards over her own shoulder and hit a perfect bullseye, never even glancing at the board.
“Stop,” Maud said sharply.
“Stop what?”
“Looking. Thinking. Whatever you’re doing.”
Jessie leaned across the bar, conspiratorial. “Who is she?”
“Too old for you.”
“Maudie! That’s not what I meant!” Jessie said, blushing in a way that strongly suggested otherwise.
“Like hell it’s not.” Maud rolled her eyes, cut a glance over at the sharp woman, and spoke out of the corner of her mouth. “She calls herself Flechette, like machete. You’re not supposed to pronounce it like that, it’s French, but she’s mangling it on purpose. Dumbass. She’s been hustling those saps for the last fifteen minutes, taking them to the cleaners, and if I was dumb enough to gamble I'd say they’re about to start catching on.”
“Hey,” said one of the saps, right on time. “How the hell are you doing that?”
“She’s a freak!” one of his friends declared, which was followed pretty immediately by sounds of terrible pain.
Jessie didn’t turn around fast enough; hardly anyone could have. By the time she could see what was happening Flechette was already twirling a pool cue like a weapon and pulling off a series of improbably high kicks and sharp elbow jabs. The guys she’d been soundly beating were hardly amateurs—they all had the look of professional enforcers, dumb muscle to the bone—but their lumbering punches never had a chance to land.
Maud whistled, loud and sharp enough to split right through the fracas “That’s enough. You know there’s none of that bullshit in here.”
Flechette froze at once, except to deal one more swift kick to a man trying to drag himself up from the floor. She dropped the pool cue and held her hands up, wide open to show that she was done being a threat. It was a choice though, Jessie thought; this woman was entirely in charge of how and when she was dangerous. Maudie had always seemed unshakeable to Jessie, stubborn and stern as a stone statue, but what could she have actually done if Flechette didn’t want to leave? The baseball bat beneath the bar wouldn’t be much use against someone like that.
It didn’t matter. Flechette flashed a smile like a shark and made for the door, pausing to throw a wink back at the bar. Maybe that was meant for Maud, a final little taunt to remember her by, but Jessie liked to imagine that it was meant for her. She was watching with her jaw dangling to the floor, not trying to make any secret of it. When Jessie told the story later she would always editorialize, hinting that Flechette must have sensed a kindred soul in her that day, spotted another villain’s star rising.
In any case, nobody ever saw Flechette around Rustbelt again. From there on out she started climbing the ranks as a mercenary and assassin for hire, eventually working for A-list baddies all over the world. She upgraded from darts to razor-thin daggers that could find their mark from nearly any distance, thanks to her superhuman aim, and her services were sufficiently in demand that no prison could keep her contained for long. Somebody more powerful was always eager to break her out and have her killing in their name.
In the meantime, the door of One-Eyed Polly’s slammed shut at the exact moment a giant hand gripped Jessie’s shoulder and made her jump.
“It’s time to go,” Jonas said, low and urgent. “Come on, Jess. Say thanks to Maudie.”
“I didn’t even finish my drink,” she said, knowing immediately that it was a stupid thing to say.
“Maybe next time.” Maud’s face was tight, and she was already whisking the margarita glass away. “Take care, kids.”
Jonas steered Jessie straight to his awful van, completely silent until he was back in the driver’s seat and gripping the steering wheel. He hadn’t taken off his gloves, but Jessie could imagine his knuckles turning white. That was a bad sign, considering the van wasn’t even running.
“I’m sorry you had to see that,” he said quietly.
Which confused Jessie for a moment, because she had assumed that she was in trouble. An apology was unexpected.
“It’s okay,” she assured him. “It was cool. She’s badass.”
“She’s not a role model. Nobody in there is.”
“What about Recluse?”
Jonas groaned, lowering his head to the steering wheel as well. “You shouldn’t even know her name. No, she’s not a role model. She’s a psychopath.”
“What about Maudie?”
“She’s on thin ice,” he said, which would normally make Jessie chuckle and point out haha, ice, but he clearly wasn’t in the mood. And she wasn’t either, because Jonas was treating her like a baby and that ticked her off, so she did something rude.
“Well, what about you?”
That made him raise his head, at least, and she immediately regretted pushing him, because Jonas looked more exhausted than she’d ever seen him in their entire life. He was getting dark hollows under his eyes, and he seemed skinnier and more raw beneath his baggy clothes every time she hugged him, and that hair that was going gray.
“I don’t want to be there either, Jess. Don’t think for a second that I do, alright? This is pragmatism.”
“What does that mean? Come on, I’m failing English. I don’t know words.”
He reached into his jacket and withdrew a fat wad of bills clipped together, slapping them down on the center console. It wasn’t forceful, not enough to make Jessie cringe or scare her in any way—he was always careful about that, conscientious to be gentle with her since he had always been so much older and bigger. But she could tell he wanted to make a point about it.
“It means that I’m being smart and doing the thing that will make me the most possible money, even though it sucks.”
“Why, though?” Jessie pressed. “You don’t have to do it if you hate it so much.”
“Jess, come on. I’m trying to take care of you, okay? Dropping off groceries every week is expensive, and driving you around is expensive, and I’m…” He paused, rubbed a hand over his eyes. “Look, I’ve been meaning to talk to you about this. I didn’t want to bring it up too soon, in case it didn’t pan out, but what if you came to stay with me instead of Mom and Dad?”
Her heart skipped, and she immediately clamped down on that feeling before she could get too excited. She had to play it cool. “But you said I’m never allowed to visit your place.”
“Well, I’d have to get a new place. With no housemates, so I’d have to pay the rent and security deposit and everything by myself because it would be just me and you. But I think I could do it.”
Jessie swallowed hard. “Do Mom and Dad know?”
“No. But I think I could make them understand, if it was what you really wanted. And that’s another thing I’m saving up for, getting a lawyer if they try to fight about it. So that I could legally adopt you or something, if I have to. If you want me to.”
“Adopt me?” Jessie repeated. It sounded silly, thinking of Jonas as her parent instead of her brother. He was too young to be her dad. But it made sense, didn’t it? Mom made sure she had food and clothes and all that, but Jessie had never felt like her mom loved or even her. Dad loved her plenty, but he was responsible for losing all their money and getting the lights shut off at least as often as he was responsible for fixing it. Jonas was the only one who had ever managed to love her and take care of her.
“If you want,” he said again. She’d never seen him so nervous. “You don’t have to. But I know Mom and Dad have been getting worse, and I don’t want you to have to stay there if you don’t want to. You should feel safe at home. And I’ve never forgotten what you said that night at the park. I shouldn’t have left you alone.”
She knew exactly what he meant; there was only one night at the park for them. The night they’d been eating ice cream sandwiches and watching fireflies when the sky opened up, when time slowed to almost nothing and snapped back to a different world, a world where her brother was a walking blizzard.
“It’s okay,” Jessie told him, even though it sort of wasn’t. She’d gotten used to it. “But I would. I’d live with you. It’d be cool.”
Jonas didn’t smile often or easily, but right then he looked happier and more relieved then she’d ever seen. Maybe even excited, like he had been worried she would say no and pick their parents over him. “Okay. Yeah. We’ll make it happen, Jess. I’ve been saving up as much as I can, and I think I’m close. We won’t be anywhere very nice, but I’ll find us somewhere. We’ll make it happen, okay?”
Jessie’s heart was racing, all the excitement of One-Eyed Polly’s already forgotten in light of this new development. She had to make sure this was for real, had to make this as close to legally binding as she could. “You promise?”
He extended a little finger and she grinned, tied their pinkies together to seal the promise like they had since she was little.
“I promise,” he said. “You and me against the world.”

protective (Bucky x reader)
summary: Bucky helps reader out of an abusive relationship (reader is peters older sister)
Tumblr media
You were sitting on a chair in the bruce’s lab, he was currently peering through a microscope as soft classical music played in the background. Bruce wasn't as ‘beefy’ as the others and the soft music that was always playing kept you calm so naturally you spent a lot of time there. Bucky had recently started spending all his free time in the lab as well, claiming that it was quiet there, making it the perfect place to think.
You scratched your wrist before quickly pulling your sweater sleeve back down, you didn't want Bucky or Bruce to see the bruises on your wrist. You looked at the tiled floor and your mind began to wander, you really didn't want to go back home. If you could even call it that, your boyfriend was a horrible person when he was drunk, and he was drinking a lot more lately, a lot more. You shivered at the thought, you didn't want to go back and him take his anger out on you like he had last night.
You jumped as a hand fell on your shoulder. “Sorry i didn't mean to startle you but i said your name twice,” bucky said, giving your shoulder a squeeze. You tried not to wince as he squeezed the bruise on your shoulder, but the expression on your face didnt go unnotaced by him. “You ok?”
“I yeah…” you quickly thought up a lie. “Just slept on my shoulder wrong is all, its a bit sore today.”
“Oh, sorry.” bucky withdrew his hand.
“Were you going to ask me something?”
Bucky smiled. “Well, its just getting late, i didn't want you to have to head home in the dark, the city isn't exactly safe at night.”
You smiled and shook your head, “ill be ok…” you looked at your phone, checking the time. Eight o’ clock, you sighed. “I should get going.”
.-.-.
In the morning you dug through a drawer, searching for a head band, you had a new bruise on your temple, one that you needed to cover up. You sighed when you found it, quickly putting it on before exiting the bathroom. “And where are you going?!” you flinched as your boyfriend raised his voice at you.
“Im going to work…” you lied.
“No you're not its saturday, you always have saturdays off!” he yelled, grabbing your arm.
“They needed someone to fill in…” you whimpered.
He let go and pushed you, causing you to trip and land on the ground, you went to catch yourself but ended up only hurting your wrist in the process. You let out a yelp of pain.
“Well if you have to work then go, i don't want to hear about how you got fired because you were late!”
You jumped to your feet and ran out the door, a tear falling down your cheek as you clutched your sore wrist.
When you arrived at the Avenger’s base, Bucky was standing with a cup of coffee, “good morning.” he said, giving you a smile. It quickly faded when he saw your sad face. “Are you ok? Did something happen…” he asked.
You nodded. “Im ok…” you whispered, not meeting his gaze. “Just tired.”
“Oh…ok. Coffee?” he asked, going over to grab another coffee cup.
You nodded. “Sure, that sounds nice…”
Bucky poured you a cup and turned to hand it to you. You took it with a soft smile and took a sip as Bucky began to empty the dishwasher. As you sipped the hot coffee, your sweater sleeve pulled back enough to reveal your bruised wrist.
“y/n, what happened to your wrist?” Bucky asked softly, turning.
“Nothing.” you said, pulling the sleeve back down. “It's nothing…”
Bucky walked closer, a cup in his metal hand and a dish cloth in his right. “y/n you can tell me.”
“Bucky, I said it was nothing to worry about,” you said, backing up and placing your cup on the table. “Im ok…”
Bucky’s grip on the cup tightened slightly. “Who did that to you?” there was anger in his eyes.
“Bucky…”
His grip tightened more and the glass shattered, falling between his fingers and to the ground. You flinched and went to take another step back. You found that there was nowhere to go, the wall was right there. Fear and instinct took over and you covered your face as tears fell from your eyes.
Bucky’s face portrayed shock and he frowned, stepping over the broken glass. You slid to the floor as he came closer, scrunching into a ball and covering your face. “Please,” you whimpered, voice cracking. “Bucky, please…”
Pain filled bucky,s eyes and he knelt next to you. “y/n, im not going to hurt you, i promise…” he slowly pulled your hand away from your face. “Look at me, please…”
You slowly opened your eyes and looked up. Bucky slowly pulled you into a hug. “I would never hurt you…” he paused. “Did your… did your boyfriend do that?”
You slowly nodded, letting out a sad whimper. “He wont let me leave, every time i do he threatens to hurt peter and our aunt… i- i cant risk that…” you whimpered.
Bucky frowned before rubbing your back. “I wont let him hurt you or them… i promise…”
“Why do you care so much?” you asked softly.
Bucky sighed. “Because i… because i love you…”
You slowly looked up at him. “You love me?”
Bucky nodded. “Why do you think i've spent every day in Bruce's lab? Because that’s where you are.”
You blushed and let your head fall on his chest. “I love you too…”
Bucky chuckled. “ yo- you feel the same? I never thought you would…” bucky chuckled in disbelief before pressing a kiss on your temple. You quickly pulled away, wincing and covering your temple with your shaky fingers. Bucky frowned. “Let me see…” he whispered, slowly pulling your hand away from your face before gently sliding your headband off. Anger immediately filled his eyes. “I’ll kill him…”
“Kill who?” Bruce asked as he walked in along with Steve, Tony, and Clint. “And why is there broken glass on the floor?”
“Can I tell them?” Bucky whispered. You nodded. “y/n’s boyfriend has been hurting her…” he said as he stood and pulled you to your feet, before gently hugging you.
“He what?” Thor asked, walking in. “y/n what didn't you tell us?”
“He threatened to hurt peter!” you sobbed, hiding your face in Bucky's chest.
“What?!” Tony shouted. You knew how protective Tony was of peter. “That's it, im gonna kill him.”
“Guys, let's be rational, we can't just go and kill him…”
“I'll go get Nat, we’ll handle it.” Clint said, turning to leave the room.
“Why did none of us just think of calling the cops?” Steve asked.
“I did,” Bruce and Tony said in unison. Tony fell quiet and let Bruce continue. “If we called the police all they'd have to do is put up a court order which could take who knows how long? Then y/n would have to go and give a testimony, it's just… it would take too long and be too much, this is better, it's faster too.”
Clint came back with Nat. “we’ll be back soon, y/n, just stay here…”
“We’ll go back and get your stuff later ok?” Bucky whispered.
You nodded.
“Oh. y/n, your welcome to stay in the tower if you'd like…” Tony said.
Bruce smiled softly as he grabbed the broom and began to clean up the broken glass. “It would be nice to have you around, ive come to like your company in the lab.”
“But i rarely even say anything…”
“True, but its nice to not have to be completely alone in the lab.”
“Bruce, she's mine, go find your own girl,” Bucky said, putting a protective arm around you.
Tony laughed. “No offense but he doesn't want ‘your girl’ he's only got eyes for Nat.”
“Well clearly i'm not needed here,” Thor said, disappearing.
“Wait, since when are you and y/n a thing?” steve asked, crossing his arms. “How did i miss this?”
Bruce put the broom away. “You didn't miss it, it just happened… y/n had a boyfriend…”
“Ok, can we talk about this later?’ bucky asked, tilting his head toward you as you stared at the ground.
“Yeah…” tony said, pulling out his phone. “I've got a date with paper anyways, bye…”
 Bucky pulled you away, grabbing your cup of coffee on the way out and handing it to you. “Come on, lets go somewhere quiet…” he whispered, heading to the elevator. He pressed a button and the two of you rode it to the roof.
“What are we doing on the roof?” you asked.
“Come on… i'll show you.” he whispered.
You and Bucky walked over to a bench and sat, looking over the edge of the roof and at the city. “What do you want to do today?” he asked.
You didn't answer, you were already asleep, finally feeling safe. Bucky smiled and kissed the top of your head before looking out at the city as you slept in his arms.
