I have a revelation!

(This is a rant about certain Envy shippers and certain writing choices. No worries, it’s not a ship-bashing post!)

I think the one of the real reasons why I don’t like Envy as much as I wish to, is because people bend over backwards to mischaracterize/demonize characters in order for the relationship to even work. Not even working with the canon or trying to make an interesting story.

They mischaracterize V as a heartbroken, jealous sad girl who is sad that her property—I mean, former lover is in love with someone else. Just like any other shitty Olivia Rodrigo song.

Or they make N so hung up on his crush on V to the point where he’s flanderized to the sky and beyond.

It just puts a bad taste in my mouth.

I remember seeing this one comic where made N upset, and N is getting reminded of all the horrible things he’s been told, so V comforts him. Okay, standard, what’s the problem? The problem is that the characters that are shown is Cyn (makes sense) and UZI (what)! Why Uzi? That doesn’t make fucking sense! If it was J, then that would be accurate, but Uzi? Really?

I’m not done. There was an Envy Heather edit. Completely missed the point. No other words. Unlike the last example, it didn’t piss me off, just “did we even watch the same show?”

Same with Thuzi, and even Vuzi or Juzi in some cases. FUCKING CODEGOLD! And I think Nuzi and NUziV too, but to a lesser extent from what I seen.

I feel bad because I don’t want to hate the ship. I do see its merits and why people like it. I even follow creators or works that ship Envy or have it as the main focus. But by god, certain people make that so difficult sometimes.

This isn’t a problem specific to this ship or this fandom, IT’S EVERYWHERE AND IT DRIVES ME NUTS!

Like why strip the characters from their nuance and chemistry they already have in canon, just to turn them into bland archetype, or to demonize “the other woman”?

Resolving conflicting magical recommendations (for beginners)

(This isn't reactionary I promise, it's been on my mind for a couple of days 😅)

Idk really how helpful this will be, but if you're a beginner who is confused by a lot of apparently contradicting information, here are some thoughts/ideas that are too basic to have been this hard earned, but I'm not called Fool for no reason.

[All of the following are just my beliefs and aren't universal or applicable to everyone]

Resolving magical conflicts through intent

You can find apparent contradictions in almost any magical action. For example:

Light a candle to charge a crystal with energy

Light a candle to burn away an energy and dwindle it down to nothing

When you light the candle, is it going to fill the crystal with energy?

Or, is it going to burn away energy until nothing is left?

My belief is that this is where the idea of intent plays one of its most basic and vital roles in witchcraft.

When you perform a magical action, "setting intent" can be a vital first step that should not be skipped.

If you are aware that the fire could either charge or burn away, then it is very literally up to you what it does. As the agent of control and/or chaos, it is the witch who determines which facets of power come out to play.

Setting intent can be done inside of your head. Or, speak, sign, or write intent.

Rules about how you totally have to write intent can, for the most part, be ignored (e.g., "your intent must be present progressive tense or the Universe will never let you manifest your goals." Nah, the Universe doesn't even speak human language tbh.)

Setting intent is not the only step to working magic, and sometimes literally doesn't matter. ("It's my intent to honor the spirit of this lake with an offering! *Dumps cigarette butts and beer cans into the water* "The lake is honored because that was my intent 😌")

Having a limited set of beliefs about what a certain power can do is like automatically setting intent. ("It's only possible that candles burn away energy, so when I light it, of course it will have a banishing effect.")

Setting intent in this manner only works to the extent that the power you are working with could already do the thing. If you've got a freezer with an ice dispenser on the door you can intend to store food inside it to chill, or, you can intend to get water out of the door, but it doesn't matter how much you intend to fry a chicken. The fridge does not do that action.

Resolving magical contradictions through tradition

Tradition in and of itself can advise how to resolve contradictions of magical meaning. This includes religious, magical, and cultural traditions.

What's important to remember is that just because one group does it one way, it doesn't mean that their way is universally correct.

A lot of people enter into the world of witchcraft with the concept that there is one universally correct set of methods and rules by which to perform magic. These methods are secret, but written down somewhere, and the key to learning magic is to just find the truest set of rules to magic. Magical truth is mutually exclusive, and contradictory information must either replace current truth, or be rejected as falsehood.

And fortunately for everyone, none of that is true!

This is why someone in one school of magic can make a certain claim ("letting spell vessels touch the earth immediately robs them of their power and the magic becomes inert,") and someone else can make a totally contradictory claim ("bury spell vessels for three days to supercharge them with the power of Nature,") and both people can be equally right.

Which set of rules might be true for you?

Well, whichever tradition you're a part of.

This is why it's really important to understand where your beliefs come from, and also to engage in self-examination about what you believe about the cosmos, our planet, and your role within it.

Entering into a tradition has a curious effect - you tend to be bound to those rules and assumptions, whether you like it or not.

Reflect on whether or not your current traditions and beliefs can resolve conflicting information.

Ask yourself what beliefs must be inherent before an assumption about magical 'rules' can be true.

(P.S. you can learn multiple contradictory systems of magic and flip between them depending on needs)

Resolving magical contradictions through experimentation

One witch may be able to charge excellently by burning candles and using intent to direct the burning energy.

A second witch may discover that they really can't charge jack shit with a candle. The energy seems to slip between their fingertips. When they direct it at something, it seems to have a consuming effect - not an invigorating one.

Setting magical intent is like choosing which path to walk down. But, the paths are unique for each of us. For the first witch, the path of "Charging Through Candleflame" is wide and open, a beautiful paved boulevard they can stroll down.

For the second witch, the path of "Charging Through Candleflame" is like hiking up a steep hill littered with boulders, and also the hill is on fire.

Many magical contradictions can be explained by practitioners simply having different personal experiences, and incorrectly assuming that their experiences must be universal.

One excellent way to learn not only about magic as a whole, but also how magic works for you, is to earnestly experiment with contradictory meanings and discover which ones A) make sense to you, but more importantly, B) actually work for you.

Whether or not you can use a candle to charge, banish, or both; and whether or not that's more or less effective for you than using water, or the sun, or pop culture icons, is something that you'll only be able to discover for yourself through experimentation.

Resolving magical contradictions through technique

If setting intent is choosing what path to walk down, then on the course of walking down that path, there is a chance you trip and fall flat (see: "I'm honoring the lake by dumping trash in it!").

Tripping and falling flat doesn't mean that path of magic is impossible for you, or shouldn't be further explored.

It can really just mean that you need some hiking boots and a trail guide.

Or, in other words: setting intent can be insufficient to actually access and manifest certain types/aspects of power.

I have personal beliefs about sorcerous power that dictate that various powers can be more or less difficult to access depending on a variety of factors. And, a witch must learn techniques to access the power. The more remote or hidden that power is, the more capable or attuned a witch must be to access that power.

That is to say, someone intensely aligned with underworld powers may be able to easily access the facets of death and decay that exist within many natural forces. But, someone without that alignment might instead need capable techniques gained through learning and practice in order to access those same powers.

And someone with neither of those things, who only tries to set intent and starts on a difficult path filled with roadblocks, may falsely assume that something "just doesn't work for me," when in reality, it's just more difficult to access.

This is why one witch can say, "roosters are a powerful source of connection to the underworld," another witch can say, "roosters only connect to the underworld if you use their feathers in a certain ritual," and a third witch can say, "roosters don't connect to the underworld," and all three are speaking from valid personal experience.

Experimenting with different techniques means learning a wide variety of ways to perform magic, including different paradigms, rituals, techniques, and methodologies.

Many systems of witchcraft contain concepts of when power is more or less available (the easiest example is the types of power more freely available due to the phases of the moon). Learning these systems can assist in discovering the accessibility of various powers.

Research is your friend.

In summary,

There are many reasons why witches have different lived experiences with magic (the topic of which would be enough to fill a book or two). As a witch-practitioner, your role in the creation of magic can't be ignored.

It's through your own culture and traditions, your own intent, and your own sorcerous techniques and education, through which you will be able to determine what aspects of magic are true to you - and which do not apply.

JJK Fic Ideas

I made this as a reblog on another post of mine but I think not many people saw it so I'll post separately here as well lol.

Okay, I’ll add a few of my ideas. All of them have chubby reader inserts because I said so. Also a few of them have dark content.

1. Trainer!Gojo

This one is more canon divergent than an actual AU. This one has a lot of backstory lore. Reader is a foreigner in Japan, she and her boyfriend get attacked by a cursed spirit, her dormant powers get triggered, Gojo saves them. She finds out why her powers were never triggered beforehand and Gojo convinces her to come to Jujutsu High. She’s an adult so she can’t exactly be a regular student, so he makes her his teacher’s assistant. He trains her, they get close, she forms a crush on him and he’s attracted to her to the point it becomes distracting. They start an ill-advised friends-with-benefits situation and it’s very… messy. But they admit they’re in love with each other. Might have a happy ending, might have a bittersweet ending, idk.

2. Neighbor!Nanami

Self-explanatory. This one is also more canon divergent than a full AU because he’s still a sorcerer. The reader is his sweet new neighbor who keeps bringing him baked goods. They’re attracted to each other, but he doesn’t want to get a regular human involved in his dangerous life. She asks him to go out to dinner with her on a whim (as friends), and he accepts despite himself. They slowly get closer over time, end up hooking up against his better judgment, and he keeps her at arm’s length after that. Things work out, they fall in love. It’s cute.

3. Roommates!Gojo and Geto AU

This one is also self-explanatory. Gojo and Geto want a third roommate after Shoko moves out, and reader is the lucky gal who they accept. They both think she’s cute. We get a throuple situation with lots of hijinks.

4. Neighbor!Toji and Kid!Megumi AU

Toji is a single father to 6 year old Megumi and is constantly gone for work (no sorcery in this one but he is a hitman lol). Megumi is alone a lot because of this, and one day he forgets his key while Toji is gone and gets locked out of the apartment. The reader comes home from work to see him sitting there and decides to let him stay at her apartment until his dad gets home, which isn’t until very late. He’s pissy about it at first, but when he sees how well taken care of Megumi is, he chills out. And then shamelessly flirts with her, but she rejects his advances. He doesn’t plan to ask her for help, but ends up needing to. They slowly become friends while Megumi opens up and gets attached to her as a mother figure. She discovers Toji has a dark secret but sticks by him and they end up starting a fling, which eventually turns into more. It’s very sweet.

5. Yakuza Clan AU

Sukuna is the boss, Geto is his advisor, Gojo is his second-in-command, Nanami is the treasurer, Toji is the enforcer, and Choso is head of surveillance. Now some of these aren’t like official titles or anything, more so what he wants and needs for his inner circle. I did some research on how the yakuza works but not like… extensively cos this is still fiction. Reader is sold to them by a human trafficker and she becomes their plaything (this one is really dark). The ending won’t exactly be happy regardless of how it turns out.

6. Vampire Coven AU

Sukuna is the coven leader, the other five are just members of the coven. The reader becomes their “pet”, aka their blood bag/toy (also very dark). Now this vampire one has grown extensive lore with lots of coven/clan politics. I went apeshit on the world-building with this one and tbh I’m the most excited to potentially write this. All the main 6 guys have extensive backstories on how they joined the coven and despite being a dark fic, there’s lots of tender moments and it will have a “happy”(?) ending.

7. Incubus!Sukuna AU

Sukuna finds the reader, thinks she’s cute, then proceeds to torment her. No real plot for this one (yet). Might just be a one-shot. Also dark. Obviously.

8. Ex!Geto and Friends-To-Lovers!Gojo

This one is gonna be real sad because it essentially follows the plot of JJK. Reader was with Geto when they were young. Geto leaves for his twisted ideals, and she and Gojo are left to pick up the pieces together and end up falling in love. Just very bittersweet and tragic all around. Season two ruined my life.

“well shit…she really put you to shame just then, bro.”

The small skeleton in question curses underneath his breath, sending a glare your way. You smirk at him, only provoking him further. “Too slow. Damn, I thought you were better than that, Sans! Looks like the rumors weren’t true after all.”

When you had first started this sparring match, you found that Sans often let his temper control his actions too much. You find that a bit odd considering that he was normally able to control himself when fighting other people. Not you, evidently.

“ONE MORE MATCH,” Sans spits, growling as he reassumes his fight stance. “I’LL SHOW YOU!”

“Oh, will you really? I don’t quite believe that,” you taunt, settling your hands on your hips as you smirk.

“careful. he still has a secret attack up his sleeve,” Papyrus advises, though there’s an emotion you can’t quite place embedded within his voice. Mischievousness, perhaps?

With that, the match begins. Sans continuously lunges at you, but you only use his actions against him by dodging and waiting until he’s in a more vulnerable position. That’s where you concentrate your strikes, and you can tell he’s getting even more worked up now. You snicker, about to go in for another strike when you feel Papyrus’ arms snaking around your waist.

“Hey!” you bark, trying to wiggle out of his grasp. Papyrus only chuckles, pressing a kiss against your neck, which causes you to relax a bit.

“NOW, TO HAVE MY REVENGE,” Sans announces. Your eyes widen as Papyrus tugs you to the floor, effectively trapping you in his lap as Sans kneels down and approaches you with an evil grin.

“Wait, no!” you yell, starting to squirm. “No!”

A shriek escapes you as Sans starts tickling you mercilessly. Laughter bubbles out of you as you kick and squirm, but to no avail. Papyrus’ grip is tight, and you’re not able to escape.

“ADMIT THAT I AM THE BETTER FIGHTER AND YOU WILL BE SPARED!”

“Never!” you yell adamantly. Even so, your will is cracking with every tickle. Soon enough, you feel your resolve shatter as tears build in your eyes and you hysterically demand for them to stop.

“AND WHAT DID I TELL YOU TO SAY?”

“You’re the better fighter!” you say, gasping for air as he stops. Sans smirks and nods.

“VERY GOOD.”

Papyrus chuckles. “i’ve never heard you laugh like that before.”

You shake your head as Papyrus lays all the way down on the mat, his arms still around you. Sans lays down on his side, running his phalanges through your messy hair.

“So this was your secret attack?” you ask.

“NO. I MERELY SAW THAT MY BROTHER WAS ABOUT TO BEAR HUG YOU BEFORE FIGURING OUT HIS ULTERIOR PLAN. WHICH, I WILL SAY, WORKED QUITE WELL.”

You chuckle. “Well enjoy your victory while you still can, ‘cause you won’t get away with it again.”

You were both going through something when you first met. He was grieving his break up with Peggy while you were grieving your partner’s infidelity. It started off with a no strings attached type of agreement but after a few months, you both agreed to make it exclusive and put a title on your relationship. That’s when Steve Rogers became your boyfriend.

Your relationship with him was filled with physical, mental, and emotional attraction. At least, that’s what you thought. The first few months were sickeningly sweet while the first year was filled with misunderstandings that you managed to overcome, resulting in a much stronger relationship. At the three years mark of your relationship with Steve, things started to become different. He seemed to be distant and you get easily irritated with that fact. That ensued a lot of arguments until one day, you realized why you get so easily irritated by anything he does. Or anything at all.

You went to go see a doctor for a checkup as Wanda insisted. You met her through Steve and the both of you instantly hit it off and became the best of friends. The girl was really protective and you got the chance to figure that out when she dragged you to the hospital when she saw you puking at the bathroom when you were out on a breakfast date with her. 

The news that came from the doctor brought tears to your eyes. Not quite sure if it’s from joy, fear, shock, or regret. The doctor announced that you’ve been carrying an infant for at least a month and that’s probably the reason behind your mood swings and morning sickness (or sickness in general). Deciding to keep the news a secret from Steve for a while may have been the best and worst decision you’ve made in your entire life.

The following weeks consisted of you thinking about the possible choices you had for the growing bean inside of you. If you were being honest, you weren’t ready to become a mother yet. The doctor gave you a bunch of brochures about possible choices but you later found yourself disregarding them when you warmed up to the idea of having a baby in your arms that will come out of your own body. A baby of your own. 

You became so excited, daydreaming about how you’ll be designing a nursery room for your baby and all that. Even Wanda got so excited that she ended up buying a few bags of baby products for both a girl and a boy. You’ve been so caught up with your situation that you failed to see the battle that Steve’s been struggling with. Something that would later become your struggle as well.

Another few weeks and you were back in the hospital for another ultrasound session. Wanda came with you, too excited for her soon to be god-daughter/god-son. You told her that you would be telling Steve about the baby that night after getting the ultrasound picture and she was nothing but excited and supportive with you. “Steve would be so happy, I can see it!” 

Turns out, that plan was never going to happen because the doctor announced that your baby lost their heartbeat and failed to show up at the scan. You were supposed to be three months pregnant with the baby but the doctor said that it happens. Stillbirth and ectopic pregnancy is what he called it. He advised you to come back to him the next day so you can talk about the procedures you should undergo to keep yourself healthy and safe.

You were miserable. You were sad, angry, and numb at the same time. You cried after the doctor left the room and Wanda cried with you. You were supposed to tell Steve about the pregnancy and now, you don’t even know what to tell him anymore. “Call him. You still have to tell him. You shouldn’t go through this alone, Y/N. I’m sure he’ll understand and I’m sure he’ll be right there for you.” Wanda runs her hand softly along your cheek before nodding at you when you take your phone out. 

Scrolling through your contacts, it started vibrating when Steve’s name pops up on your screen before you could even call him. You answered immediately before putting it against your ear. “Steve?” Your voice was scratchy from crying and he seemed to have picked up on it. “Y/N? Are you okay?” His voice sounded tired yet alert against your ear. “Yeah… No. Not really…” You mumbled, looking at Wanda with nervous eyes as she nodded at you encouragingly. “What happened?” He asks. “I’ll tell you later… I need to tell you something—” You were cut off by him. “Me too. I have to tell you something as well.” He sighs through the phone and rustling was heard and you could imagine him rubbing his large palms down his face in a stressful manner. He’s stressed. He’s been going through something as well and you’re about to find out why.

After Wanda dropped you off at your shared house with Steve, you braced yourself for the inevitable outcome you’ve been thinking about. You don’t know if it’s from the loss of your baby but you found yourself being negative about everything that’s about to happen. During the ride home with Wanda, you thought about where your relationship with Steve stood and you failed to see anything that made the bond between the both of you. There was nothing and you had an idea about what he’s about to tell you. He was always out and you were always busy planning for your baby that the both of you didn’t even have time for each other, other than the late-night ‘lovemaking’ (if you can even call it that).

You went inside and walked towards the kitchen when you heard him call out for you. “In here!” 

You found him sitting in front of the table and he motioned for you to take a seat in front of him. You obeyed and gulped at the seriousness of the atmosphere. He nods once you’re seated before placing his hands in front of him and clasping them together. “So… Who goes first?” He asks, awkward tension filling the space around you. “Geez… Why do I feel like I murdered someone? Shake it off, will ya?” You manage to joke, shrugging your shoulders playfully and earning a smile and a chuckle from Steve. His smile disappears and he looks down at the table before playing with his fingers when the tension comes back again. “You go first.” You softly say, giving him an encouraging smile and nodding when he looks at you nervously. “Go on—”

“Peggy’s back.”

The girl who left Steve because she had to fly back to England to take care of their family business after her father died. The girl who was forced to leave Steve for the sake of her family. The girl who had to leave the man who’d loved her with all his heart. A tragic love story though it seems like it doesn’t have to be so tragic anymore. You knew how much Steve loved that woman. You knew how much Steve loves that woman. You never had the chance to meet her but you know that she’s one hell of a woman. Then, you realized why Steve was so nervous about this talk. You realized what or who he’s been preoccupied with while you were preoccupied with your baby. 

“Oh…” Was the only thing that came out of your lips. You sighed, drowning in your own thoughts as you mentally surrendered. You had no match with the Peggy Carter. Hell, you were supposed to be just a distraction so he can forget the pain she left him. 

“Say something…” Steve reaches for your hands across the table, eyes begging for you to speak. 

“I-I don’t know what to say, Steve…” You let out a sigh before squeezing his hands and looking at his glistening blue eyes. “Are you… Is she- Are you back with her?” You bit your lip absentmindedly as you waited for his answer. His eyebrows shot up and he shook his head from side to side. “N-no. No! I would never do anything with her. Not while I’m with you…” He sighed, looking away from your gaze as he pulled his hand away from yours. You saw him flinch when you let out a dry chuckle. “So that’s what this is about, huh?” You watch him as he looks back up at you, eyebrows furrowing in confusion. You press your tongue against the inside of your left cheek before nodding understandingly. “You wanna officially break things off with me so you can get back with her, right?” 

You watch as he uncomfortably shifts on his chair while avoiding eye contact with you. “I’m not mad at you, Steve. I always knew that I would never be as good as Peggy. I know that you’ll never love me like you did with her. I know that you’ll never love anyone but her. I knew that you would never love me—” 

“You can’t do that!” Steve suddenly yaps, eyes glaring at you. “You can’t tell me what I feel and who I can or can’t love. You can’t… You just don’t do that. You can’t… Don’t make me sound like a bad guy.” He breathes out before rubbing his palms down his face frustratingly. 

“Steve… I’m not saying that you’re a bad guy. I’m just telling you what I think is the truth—”

“You don’t know anything about how I feel!” He yells, surprising you. He stands up and you copy his actions absentmindedly before watching his face turn red with every word. “Peggy might have a special place in my heart but that doesn’t mean I’m incapable of loving another person, Y/N. People move on. They move on and start anew with other people, okay? People are capable of moving on—” 

“Are you?” You cut him off, giving him a bitter smile before repeating yourself. “Are you capable of moving on, Steve? Have you moved on from Peggy?” You waited for his reply but it never came. Instead, he strayed from the topic.

“What was it that you’re planning on telling me.” His voice was shaky as his eyes refused to look at yours.

“I’m pregnant.” You spat and his head snapped up as he looked at you with wide eyes. “I was pregnant.” You let out a shaky breath before sitting back down, Steve urgently walking over to your side and kneeling in front of you. He placed his hands on your lap before looking at you with worried eyes. “What happened?” He asks.

“I was supposed to tell you tonight that I’m three months pregnant. I was supposed to give you an ultrasound picture of our baby. I was supposed to find out the gender—” You were cut off by your own cries and Steve pulled you in for a quick hug before you pulled away to continue. “Then suddenly, the baby's gone…” Your cries continued and Steve did nothing but to hold you close as you grieved over your miscarriage. 

After you were drained and no more tears were falling, Steve pulls away and looks at you with conflict in his eyes. “Maybe it’s for the best? Are you even ready for a baby?” He asks. Your body becomes cold and you were seeing nothing but red.

“Are you fucking kidding me?” You push him off as you stand up, him following suit.

“What?” He asks, eyebrows contorting in confusion.

“I don’t know if you’re just insensitive or just being an asshole.” Your jaw clenches in anger and he shakes his head animatedly. “What? Just because I asked about us being ready for a kid?” 

“You didn’t. You asked if I was ready for a kid.” You poked his chest and his eyes widened in realization. 

“Y/N, I—”

“Tell me, Steve. Do you even see a future with me?” You tilt your head to the side, waiting for his answer that never came. You shook your head before looking back at him and licking your teeth before smiling bitterly at him. “Let me rephrase that. Do you see a future with Peggy?” You waited for an answer and this time, he replied. “Stop this, Y/N… Don’t do this…” He reaches for you but you move away from him. 

“Just do it, Steve. Do whatever it is you planned on doing when you said you wanted to have a talk.” You crossed your arms and waited for him to speak.

“Y/N, I can’t. Not when you’re like this…” He tries to reach for you again but you slap his hand away, uncrossing your arms and pointing a finger at him. “Fine. If you can’t do it then I’ll do it for you.” You hiss and his face falls at your words.

“I’m breaking up with you.” You bite on your tongue until you taste the copper taste of your own blood. Wiping your mouth with the back of your hand, you walk towards the front door with Steve following you quietly. You stop just in front of the door, looking at Steve over your shoulder before sighing. 

“Not everyone gets a second chance, Steve.” Your hand unconsciously runs over your stomach. “You’re lucky enough to have one with Peggy. I wish the both of you the best… I mean it.” You fully turn towards him before walking up to him and pressing a kiss on his lips, pulling away with a sad smile and walking back to the door and leaving the man behind.

‘‘how about we eat here, y/n?’‘ ‘‘sounds good to me, katsu.’‘ you both walked in and were greeted by the host, who led you to a table of two. the table was farther in the back of the restaurant.

‘‘we’ll have a waiter out to you two in a few minutes! please, enjoy.’‘

‘‘thank you!’‘ you exclaimed. katsuki thanked the waiter as well.

you and katsuki were talking about nonsense and playfully bickering for a few minutes until a waitress came to serve you two. ‘’hi, welcome to (insert restaurant here cause idk what to call it). can i get you two started on any appetizers or drinks?’’ you noticed she was eyeing bakugo the whole time she was speaking. yeah, it was no secret bakugo was handsome, but she could clearly see the two of you were together. ‘’uh.. hi, yeah, i’ll just have a water for now..’’ the waitress turns to you and immediately changes her facial expression to something of disgust. ‘’okay, i’ll get that out for you. and what may you have?’’ she turns to bakugo with a smirk on her face. you felt your cheeks heating up out of anger, but you restrained yourself. ‘’yeah, i’ll have a water as well.’’ katsuki sensed your discomfort. ‘’two waters.. i’ll have that out asap!’’ when she walked away, katsuki asked you whats wrong. ‘’whats up with you babe?’’ ‘’i don’t like the way she was looking at you, katsuki.’’ ‘’don’t overreact y/n. you know i wouldn’t leave you for anyone else.’’ ‘’ yeah yeah, i know.’’ ‘’i’m going to the restroom, okay?’’ ‘’okay.’’ as you watched him walk to the restroom, you saw the waitress look at him and start to follow behind. ‘’oh hell no,’’ you said to yourself.

‘‘woahhh, zuku, this place is way bigger than i thought it would be!!” ‘‘yeah.. its huge...’‘ ‘‘OH MY GOD THERE’S A MIRKO STAND!!!’‘ ‘‘WAIT Y/N DON’T RUN OFF-’‘ the day consisted of you two going around the convention, meeting heroes, and buying merchandise.

‘‘ugh, i love mirko so much. her panel was so good! don’t you think, izuku?’’ ‘’yeah y/n, i think she said a lot of good stuff... i see why you look up to her now.’’ ‘’yea- ZUKU!! ALL MIGHT CANDY APPLES!! I’LL GO GET SOME, STAY HERE-’’ ‘’Y/N- sheesh.’’ what you didn’t notice is that since you two walked out of the panel, a girl had been checking midoriya out. she walked over to him.

 ‘’hey there.. how about i get your number?’’ izuku was terrified. what if you came back and thought he was cheating, then you got mad and dumped him? his face was frozen in fear. ‘’ i uh- i- i uh-’’ ‘’ohh come on...’’ the girl started. ‘’better idea,’’ she leaned into his ear. ‘’how about we ditch the bitch over there and grab something to eat?’’ izuku stepped back. ‘’i um- i’m good..’’ ‘’pleaseeee-’’ she took his scarred hand. ‘’oh wow, these scars are so cool, how did you get them?’’ you saw the look on midoriya’s face and the girl who was touching him. ‘’oh god,’’ you said. you sped walked over to them. ‘’whats going on here?’’ midoriya had never been happier. ‘’oh thank god, you’re back-’’ ‘’um, who are you?’’ the girl said. ‘’i’m his girlfriend, who are you?’’ the girl smirked. ‘’you might just be the side hoe after this, love..’’ ‘’the fuck did you just say to me?’’ you handed the candy apples to izuku and walked up to her. ‘’you low down, dirty, musty, crusty ass bitch. how the hell you gon come up here and try to holla at my man when yo breath smells like ten pounds of bounce that ass? bitch, you deadass built like the alligator from princess and the frog and yo forehead on swole mode. and you smell like fish. go brush your fuckin tongue before you open that nasty ass mouth of yours. like damn, pick a struggle.’’ her cheeks had reddened up in embarrassment and people had stopped by to laugh at her. after she ran away, you turned back to izuku. ‘’i fuckin hate people like her. anyway, look at these apples!! they look just like all might, don’t they?’’

Okay I just finished watching Imitation and I’m gonna give a review, idk why but I have a lot of feelings LOL gonna write this without giving away big plot points so no spoilers for you if you wanna know if you want to watch it or not (probably everyone already has but whatever I’m usually late to the show)

Things I liked about it:

- Imitation was a really interesting drama because it didn’t focus on all the fun stuff of the idol world like a lot of idol dramas do. It’s main focus ends up being more on the struggles idols have to deal with, mainly pertaining to the dating issue but instead of putting it fully on the labels for keeping their artists from dating it also focused on how sasaengs think, talk, and react about their idols dating which I thought was a nice touch because that SURE IS REAL LIFE. (unfortunately they kinda drop that plot point as it goes on, but whatever) 

- It also had plot points pertaining to mistreatment of idols by the industry and their labels, which was another thing that I liked about it. It’s a tough world, and it should be more mainstream that we know about and find ways to help idols as they’re dealing with all of this. Idk it’s just something that should be talked about more, so I’m glad they did. 

- The cast was beyond fantastic. I think that’s honestly what made the show for me. Obviously the casting director knew the draw would be having actual idols in their show, but even those who were just actors were absolutely fantastic and did a great job in each of their roles. Dojin and Hyuk were obviously my favorites, but I think they’re everyone’s favorites LOL their acting chemistry was spot on and it really felt like they had been bffs for years.

- LA RI MA. Queen, icon. Absolutely in love with her tbh. What I really loved about her is that she started off being a rival for Ryeok to Ma Ha, and I thought to myself, ‘Great. She’s gonna end up being a flat character.’ but I think she ended up having the most character growth in the entire story, besides maybe Ryeok. The way she is so confident, knows her worth, and takes care of those around her makes her such an enjoyable character to watch. Every scene she’s in she totally steals, I love her LOL 

- The last two episodes definitely make the entire show worth watching. They’re really full of heart, you get so excited, and watching them perform is really cool. I won’t give away any of the ending, but it is worth it!

Things I didn’t like:

There are a few things that made me feel ‘meh’ about the show. It kinda felt like there were a lot of plot points that dragged on a bit too much for me. This is totally a personal opinion so like obviously you might feel different! Cool.

- So, the idea that the story starts out with a love triangle didn’t appeal to me at all LOL I hate that trope, but even after that ends it starts going through the whole ‘we’re idols that have to date in secret’ and all that angst that comes with that and I have to admit there were a few mid series episodes that had me so bored because it felt like I’d already seen this to some degree before. I ended up mostly enjoying whatever subplots were going on instead of the main plot. It’s not that I didn’t like their romance, but sometimes it was just SO uncomfortable because they were uncomfortable LOL idk, romance plots are not usually my jam, but there are enough other elements to make the show enjoyable for me.

- Struggles would come up and then immediately not be an issue by the next episode. I know this is only a 12 episode drama (which I think is a shame, I think if it had been 16-20 episodes then it actually would have fared so much better but alas) but I feel like...I mean if a massive contract issue comes up and can be resolved with a quick call or an article being written, then it wasn’t an issue...and yet the fact that two idols are having angst over dating can be drawn out over the course of 4 episodes just didn’t make sense to me LOL like you’d think the dating issue would have been resolved faster than a contract issue? idk maybe it’s just me. 

- Eunjo’s plot, which is essentially a subplot until the end of the show, is far more interesting than most of what goes on LOL I almost would have liked to have that mystery be woven more thoroughly through the show instead of it being sprinkled in occasionally and then BOOM at the end it all comes together. I just think it might have had more impact.

- GROUP DYNAMICS. Bruh! This is what I really wanted okay? LOL I mean obviously the focus is mostly on Ryeok and Ma Ha but god I would have loved having more scenes with group dynamics and seeing how they actually all get along instead of making the other members all side characters until the very end when we see that they actually all care about each other. I didn’t even know Jaewoo was the leader of SHAX until the end of the show, man LOL like it would have been nice to see more from him, and all of the others, especially since Jaewoo was essentially a snitch to the their label owner for so long and ending up having so much guilt over it, but we never saw that until the last episode. 

I also think I would have preferred to have seen more of the past SHAX with Eunjo, because Ryeok was apparently his bff and yet we don’t really get to see any of that, you know? We just hear about it. This show does a lot of telling instead of showing and I do think that’s because of the episode limit, but it’s just a shame. I think the ending would have been more impactful if we’d gotten to see them altogether more at the beginning.

- If you’ve decided to watch Imitation solely for Seonghwa and San, I’d advise against it LOL they have like two lines per episode they’re in (which isn’t all of them, Sparkling is barely in the show aside from Yoojin(Yunho)) and basically they don’t get to say or do much of anything until the end LOL I get that Sparkling is a secondary character group, basically, but it would have been nice to have seen more dynamics from them, too. I think Seonghwa and San could have honestly been like Dojin and Hyuk, the comedy duo of SHAX, but they just didn’t have the time or whatever, I suppose. Like I don’t even know Seonghwa’s character’s name LOL the only reason I know San’s character’s name is Minsu is because they said it once at the second to the last episode. LOL so, just a warning. But you atinys will be fed by seeing much Yunho and Jongho, I promise.

 I also would have loved to have seen more group dynamics from Sparkling, as I said, because until the 11th episode, I think, I don’t even see them really being like, “guys! I love you all, let’s stick together until the end!” which really confused me bc my dude Hyun Oh was literally causing property damage and giving them a problematic image but apparently they were good with that LOL idk idk

- The whole sasaeng issue gets dropped right before the ending and I thought that was rather strange since up until that point sasaengs had been one of the main roadblocks for the romance plot and they had been rather vile and annoying LOL unfortunately the show often had to skip over or completely drop or quickly resolve a lot of the large ongoing issues in order to come to a conclusive end and I thought that was a bit sad but I do understand why. Can only do so much with 12 episodes.

Overall opinion:

I really enjoyed it. I know I have some critically things to say, but as a writer I just kept seeing plot holes and had to talk about them briefly LOL (or not briefly because idk how to be brief) I think that the tone of the story was good, and that what they were trying to convey through this story was also good. I think it does give an idealistic image of idols freeing themselves from the oppressive evil labels and living the way they want, because unfortunately that’s not always a viable option, however it did remind me of Hyuna and Dawn’s story in a way and that warmed my heart! Love conquers all, my dude, we love to see it.

I would honestly love to watch more idol dramas like Imitation that star idols and therefore we get some sick performances and awesome music and it tells an interesting and somewhat realistic story! I think it’s something anyone can enjoy, even if for me it did get a little long in the middle with all the romance stuff LOL the ending was totally worth it for me, I think it’ll be worth it for you!

OMG okay first note, IM SO SORRY ABT THE SUDDEN CHANGE OF FANDOMS this just happens lmao jhdwbfj,, second off this might be, really long because i tend to go on rants abt my interests if asked hehwhewh (btw for this game, ik it says on the store page but EPILEPSY WARNING FOR THIS GAME it’s very cool, but theres plenty of effects and flashing lights that can trigger that, just be safe) ANYWAYS basically, everhood is an rpg sorta kinda rhythm game and its got a LOT OF STORY that i will not be able to recant in just one post (actually maybe i could but i don’t think you wanna see that dfg) but the rhythm game aspect is revolved around the combat!! so a typical fight is on a track with ur character on the end and like notes will come down the track and you have to dodge them theres also usually a sprite at the beginning of the track of the person fighting you

[sometimes there will be effects on the track like stretching the image etc.]   [[oh also i think i’ll kinda just be describing gameplay because i really dont wanna spoil anything just incase you wanna buy it!! it’s 10 dollars on steam and if u buy the soundtrack too, which i would tell u to do too because the soundtrack is so good im having a blast listening to it, is abt 18 dollars. i heavily advise you to get it it is so cool]]  and for the rpg part thats basically everything else, there is several places to visit through doors (which talk to you and like thats cool idk im easily amused hehhe) and you see so many cool characters aaaa i love all of them so much! at the very very beginning of the game (awyhu here i am listing story btw) after leaving a kinda void area you see your character (which is a wooden doll just kinda to give some context) and then you see a thief which steals your arm (how rude smh) [oh also this is your goal of the whole game to get your arm back! kinda jk but i dont wanna spoil more than i am hehe] and after that your character assembles themself and then your adventure starts!! god this is long enough, but i’ll list some trivia!! to my knowledge, all of the characters do not have genders (from me skimming the everhood wiki) and use they/them! red mage, the character you play as, also might go by it/its too because of some dialogue i’ve seen! also theres a lot of endings and secrets to unlock which i think is real cool and there is a new game+ which i will be playing soon!!   rha, thanks so much for asking btw!! this was very fun to write and i hope you got some enjoyment from reading this ehhe ALSO ALSO, i would advise you to watch some gameplay of it because i don’t believe that i’m very good at describing things and i think you should see the game in action >:]

The silence was unbearable. He hadn’t said anything since your bodyguards brought you back, kicking, screaming, and terrified.

He just stared at you blankly, nothing in his eyes, nothing on his face, nothing in his body language. Occasionally, he would take a sip of the glass of brandy on the table beside him. Sometimes cross and uncross his arms over his chest.

All the while just staring, not saying anything.

You were too scared to speak, eventually too scared to even look at him, opting just to stare at your clammy hands clasped together in your lap.

What was he thinking?

Would he punish you?

Would he forgive you?

Would he beat you?

Would he . . . kill you?

You waited for what could have been hours, bracing yourself for an even more violent response the longer he sat.

But none of that came.

Without a word, Seonghwa stood and glided from the room. You thought he slammed the door the tiniest bit harder than normal, but you were so scared that you were sure your mind had made it up.

As you shuffled back to your room, you hurried as quick as you could past his door.

Your heart was beating too loud, heart too heavy with despair and disappointment, to hear the very faint sounds of sobbing coming from behind his door.

Yunho 

The Damsel in Distress Next Door 

Theoretically, you could 100% leave Yunho. You could walk out at any time you wanted and he wouldn’t go after you if he knew you were leaving because you wanted to break up and not because you’re hurt or something’s wrong. He wouldn’t hurt you or try and guilt-trip you.

He would say that he wishes you the best and that he won’t try to hurt himself again.

He. Is. Lying.

The minute you walk out that door, he’s closing all the blinds and windows, turning all the lights off, going in his bathroom, and getting the razor blade out of his shaver.

It’s tiny in his huge hands and that makes him even clumsier. He’s shaking, he’s crying, and blood is already spurting everywhere. He’s going to punish himself for everything bad thing he ever did in your relationship that he never got a chance to hurt himself for.

He remembers everything, without even having to write it down, and he’ll give himself the “appropriate” punishment for every bad action, even down to the tiny, most minute things like the time he forgot to put your favorite condiment on the sandwich he made you three months ago, or accidentally pulling your hair when he was running his fingers through it last year.

It might take a while to give himself all those punishments, but he’s going to make sure he stays alive until he gets everything he thinks he deserved.

The time he spends punishing himself is pretty much your only window of opportunity.

Because you know exactly what’s going on. You know what’s happening, you have that same bad feeling from last time, only amplified by ten.

You know he’ll die if you don’t go back.

You could always call the police and send them there, but you honestly doubt their ability to be able to hold him. Yunho’s an adept liar, and he’d get out of hospital treatment, probably in weeks, just to do the same thing. Except there wouldn’t be anyone to call the police then and there was no doubt he’d die then.

At this point, you don’t even believe Yunho can be fixed.

You have the choice between saving his life and being imprisoned in that relationship with him forever or let him die so you can heal and be free.

Yeosang 

The Secret Serial Killer 

Yeosang’s initial reaction is going to be straight-up confusion.

He doesn’t understand how in the world you could have found anything out that would make you leave.

He was so careful, always so cautious. The police don’t even know what he is or the things he’s done, so how would you?

You hadn’t been acting weird lately. Or had you? How would he not notice?

But the truth is you hadn’t noticed anything. Like I said, Yeosang is too careful, too sneaky, too clever.

What really happened is that you were out with a friend yesterday evening and decided to spend the night as no one felt like driving and both of your phones were dead so you couldn’t call Yeosang to pick you up. You got to her house and put the phone on the charge before eating a late dinner, intending to call him when it had charged up a bit, but you fell asleep before you could do so.

And this happened to be on a night where Yeosang had prior commitments so he couldn’t stalk you so see what you were doing. He was so tired that he fell asleep as soon as he got home, only panicking when he woke up the next day to find you still gone.

And now, it was eleven o’clock and Yeosang was pulling up to your friend’s house, calming only slightly when he saw you about to get in your friend’s car, phone in hand, looking worried.

He realized you’d probably been trying to call him but the blood pounding against his ears didn’t allow him to hear the phone he’d thrown haphazardly into the passenger seat.

Yeosang barely even parks before open the car door, anything he was about to say dying on his tongue as an explanation rushed out of your mouth.

Yeosang takes it gracefully, nodding, as he pulls you into his arms.

“I was scared something happened to you,” he says, to which your friend starts cooing over your relationship.

She just doesn't know that he’s already formulating a back-up plan in case you found out about him and tried to leave.

He had no problem killing your friends off one-by-one if it meant you’d stay with him.

San

The Jekyll and Hyde 

No matter how San was feeling previously, your attempted escape would undoubtedly bring out Other San.

You’d seen Other San angry before. You’d seen him throw things, punch gigantic holes in walls, scream till he was hoarse, had him kick you in the stomach so hard he almost ruptured your organs, and even seen break an entire table once.

But none of that, none of it compared to the way you were seeing him now.

His gait was slow and confident, his dark eyes following you like a predator, a terrifying smirk painting his face, the malice of it detracting from every handsome feature he had.

“Baby,” he laughed, shaking his head, crossing to the kitchen and disappearing for a moment. You’d run if you thought you actually had a shot of escaping but you knew you didn’t and San was already angry enough.

“You’re so stupid, baby,” he giggled, voice muffled by distance and the more overpowering sound of metal instruments tinkling and bumping against each other.

You said nothing.

When San emerged, it was with a long meat knife with an incredibly sharp blade. You didn’t even know you had that.

San’s eyes were wild, manic as he advanced toward you, shuddering at the sound of your terrified whimpers.

“If you wanted me to hurt you, all you had to do was ask.”

Mingi

The Clingy Bad Boy 

This is probably going to be pretty short because I don’t see Mingi having a gigantic reaction, shocking as that may seem. It wasn’t short at all, but that’s because I got description crazy.

He would just have a really violent one.

The minute he got you back in the house, he’d look at you for a second.

And then he’d punch the shit out of you.

You blacked out and when you woke up, it was to an aching body and bruises all over your body. Some places were swollen, some cut, and some bleeding, but, thankfully, nothing was broken.

For some reason, breaking bones seemed like a line Mingi wasn’t able to cross when it came to you.

Personally, you’d rather he broke a single bone and left you alone than do all this, but that wasn’t something you’d say out loud.

You looked up when the door opened to reveal Mingi coming in the room carrying a glass of water, a sandwich and chips, and a few pills.

He sat in a chair beside the bed, putting the food on one side of the nightstand and holding the glass of water and the pills out to you. “Take these,” he said, no trace of his previous anger, but no trace of remorse either.

He looked like this was a normal, everyday occurrence.

You complied, recognizing the pills as two painkillers and swallowing them along with a couple large gulps of water.

Mingi brought a first-aid kit from under the bed, cleaning cuts and applying ointments to your wounds, humming in his low, deep voice as he did so.

And even though he was the one who did this to you, the human mind is an absolute bitch and you relaxed as you heard him sing the familiar melody. He was humming the song he always sang when you were sad.

When he finished treating you, he gave you the food and let you eat before helping you to the bathroom, giving you a hot bath and helping you brush your teeth, do your skincare routine, and dress you for bed.

Your body hurt, but the painkillers helped and Mingi carried you and did everything for you so you didn’t have to move around as much.

He sang you to sleep as well, something he rarely did.

As you drifted, halfway between sleep and consciousness, you felt him lean down to your ear and say, “I already told you not to leave me. I meant it. Don’t make me do this again.” 

Wooyoung

The Incubus 

I really don’t see a way for you to even attempt to escape from Wooyoung. He has demons guarding you and he uses his powers to keep track of you at all times. Not to mention, you can’t navigate Hell, only a demon can. This is a fact that both you and Wooyoung are well aware of.

If you managed an escape attempt, it would only be because Wooyoung was bored and he allowed it to happen. He might actually like you more if you did this. It’d give him something fun to do and an excuse to punish you and his punishments were his favorite thing in the world.

He’d tell his guards to let you slip past and watch you, amused, as you ran out of the house and past the gates. You didn’t last long, eventually too incredibly confused by the twists and turns of hell, too scared of the glowing eyes of unknown creatures that you could see lurking hungrily at you through the dense shrubbery.

Wooyoung was slightly impressed, though. It was longer than any human’s ever lasted and certainly longer than he expected of you.

But still, he waited. You had to know no one else was coming for you. You had to know that without his help, you’d die here. And it’d be a slow and painful death, much more so than any death on earth could be.

You had nowhere else to turn . . .

“Wooyoung!”

There it was.

Wooyoung grinned as he appeared before you in a flurry of black smoke, even more amused at the sight of you sobbing on your knees, hating the fact that you had to return to him but having no other choice.

He tsked disapprovingly, crouching down so he was eye-level with you, his finger slipping under your chin to bring your head up to look at him.

“Bad baby. Now I have to punish you.”

Wooyoung grunted as he thrust quickly into the demon, her loud screams of pleasure reverberating off the walls.

Her smirk was smug as she looked at you, chained in the corner and forced to watch him fuck her.

It was your usual punishment, except Wooyoung normally makes you watch him fuck three or four women (demon stamina was a hell of a thing). But he seemed to be more taken with this girl; they were on their third round and he hadn’t shown any sign of tiring out yet.

You didn’t know what that meant. Had they met before? Did he already like her? Was he . . . was he thinking about replacing you?

You tried to tell yourself that that didn’t matter, that it was something you would be happy about, but you couldn’t deny the lurch your stomach gave at the thought.

If Wooyoung found someone else, what would he do to you?

Would he throw you out? As much as you hated him and this horrible fucking place, you couldn’t ignore the fact that it was much safer here than out there with the other things that lurk in this realm.

And he definitely wouldn’t be nice enough to take you back home.

Would he kill you? There’s a chance it would be quickly but, knowing him, it would be long and drawn out.

Maybe it would be in your best interest not to piss him off, after all.

“Fuck,” he grunted. “So tight!”

His head was thrown back as the woman climbed on top of him, riding him quickly, his hands kneading her ass.

Through his haze of pleasure, he grinned as he read your thoughts. You were starting to question yourself, starting to wonder what was actually in your best interest, just as he wanted.

He became more vocal, making sure not to glance your way as he thrust into the woman and kissed her passionately, both of them groaning loudly as he came.

He could hear how their noises made you feel.

For now, you’d comply because it was best for your safety. But eventually, you’d actually believe you loved him.

“This could be you if you weren’t so mean, love,” he said, placing the woman on her back and thrusting into her once more, going back to ignoring you as he pounded into her, moaning as her legs locked around his waist and her nails dug into his back.

His ego was bigger than ever as he felt your fear amplify, scared he would replace and throw you away, terrified of what lurked outside these walls.

Yes, his plan was going lovely.

Jongho

He’d ask what he could change for you two to stay together. He’d change accordingly. If you still wanted to break up, he would reluctantly let it happen and you two would continue to be friends.

If it was because you found out about him, then he would disappear, stalking you quietly from the sidelines without your knowledge.

In all scenarios, Jongho will continue stalking you, taking out threats and people that bother you from afar.

Roman is a prince and heir to the throne of spain (or some other country either way he’s a prince)

He’s pretty sheltered and all that

the press swarm him wherever he goes, trying to get a good picture maybe even a story of the prince

He doesn’t go outside the castle a lot and has little to no internet access and when he does it’s heavily monitored

Logan is one of Roman’s only friends and going to be his royal adviser when he takes the throne, just like his father it the king’s adviser

On Roman’s sixteenth birthday he asks his parents to go to Canada for a year (bc screw America) and be a normal teenager

they reluctantly agree as long and Logan goes with him

They make a backstory for Roman and make it believable (so there’s no of that “My name? my last name? uhhhh Prince, Roman Prince. Yeah that’ll work and won’t give me away for sure” shit)

Roman even gets a phone, as long as he isn’t on any social media and doesn't get pictures take of himself

First day of junior year and Virgil hates everything. His only friends are Remy, Patton and Dolan and he is not looking forward to another year of school

Then Roman García walks in and Virgil didn’t care

there was no love at first sight or anything

He puts up his hood turns up his MCR and prays the new guy doesn’t sit next to him

He does

Roman tries to be nice and strike up a convo with him. 

Virgil just flips him off and turns the music up louder

Roman is kinda surprised since people usually talk to him

of course then he makes it his mission to befriend the emo

He tells Logan

At this point Logan and Dolan are together (but are keeping it a secret, Logan says he has strict parents, a lie but he has to) 

They realize their best friends like each other

hijinks ensue, lots of making plans and cancelling them at the last minute leaving only Roman and Virgil together on a not date

Roman is clueless until Logan is like “forgive me for saying to Prince Roman but you’re so motherfucking dense how can you see what’s right in front of your face?” Then laves

Dolan does something similar with Virgil (it wasn’t planned it just happened) “Just tell him you love him you bitch,”

Virgil chucks a pillow at his head

Patton also knows but isn’t as direct, though he helps with the shinanigans

Then right as they get together maybe a few days later Virgil is like “it’s stupid but let’s make a tik tok” they do, it’s stupid, meant to be a meme

the press finds out and Logan and Roman are caught

they see them outside and hide

Logan goes into royal adviser forgetting about their Patton and their boyfriends “I’ll get an escort out of here, don’t look at the windows don’t show your face, and don’t get your picture taken,”

“What the fuck is going on?”

Logan and Roman don’t have time to explain, they run out a back door trying not to get spotted

in the palace Roman is on lock down, he broke the rules and can’t leave his rooms.

Then Logan does the unthinkable, he breaks the rules. It’s just an old phone that he can use to message their friends over discord but it’s enough

Roman tells them everything

“You’re telling me you’re a REAL FUCKING PRINCE PRINCEY?”

“Yes”

“Holy fuck”

“I know, sorry I couldn’t tell you”

“tbh it all makes sense now,”

Logan breaks another rule

after Roman hasn’t left his rooms for two weeks Logan helps sneak him out. 

they fly to Canada to meet their friends

“The fuck are you doing here Princey?” Virgil asks when they see him

“I had to see you one more time, we had to get a fairy tale ending,”

“This is far from a fairytale ending Princey,”

“Roman, the press are coming,” Logan warned

Roman kissed Virgil “see you soon my love,”

Virgil laughed “You fucking better, or I’ll drag your royal ass out of that palace myself”

“Please do, It’s very boring,”

Logan drags Roman away the press right on their heels

Roman passes the crown to his brother, Remus, saying that he didn’t feel like he’d be a good enough king for Spain

Roman and Logan return to Canada, they don’t go back to school but they live happily ever after

Okay, I’ll add a few of my ideas. All of them have chubby reader inserts because I said so. Also a few of them have dark content.

1. Trainer!Gojo

This one is more canon divergent than an actual AU. This one has a lot of backstory lore. Reader is a foreigner in Japan, she and her boyfriend get attacked by a cursed spirit, her dormant powers get triggered, Gojo saves them. She finds out why her powers were never triggered beforehand and Gojo convinces her to come to Jujutsu High. She’s an adult so she can’t exactly be a regular student, so he makes her his teacher’s assistant. He trains her, they get close, she forms a crush on him and he’s attracted to her to the point it becomes distracting. They start an ill-advised friends-with-benefits situation and it’s very… messy. But they admit they’re in love with each other. Might have a happy ending, might have a bittersweet ending, idk.

2. Neighbor!Nanami

Self-explanatory. This one is also more canon divergent than a full AU because he’s still a sorcerer. The reader is his sweet new neighbor who keeps bringing him baked goods. They’re attracted to each other, but he doesn’t want to get a regular human involved in his dangerous life. She asks him to go out to dinner with her on a whim (as friends), and he accepts despite himself. They slowly get closer over time, end up hooking up against his better judgment, and he keeps her at arm’s length after that. Things work out, they fall in love. It’s cute.

3. Roommates!Gojo and Geto AU

This one is self-explanatory. Gojo and Geto want a third roommate after Shoko moves out, and reader is the lucky gal who they accept. They both think she’s cute. We get a throuple situation with lots of hijinks.

4. Neighbor!Toji and Kid!Megumi AU

Toji is a single father to 6 year old Megumi and is constantly gone for work (no sorcery in this one but he is a hitman lol). Megumi is alone a lot because of this, and one day he forgets his key while Toji is gone and gets locked out of the apartment. The reader comes home from work to see him sitting there and decides to let him stay at her apartment until his dad gets home, which isn’t until very late. He’s pissy about it at first, but when he sees how well taken care of Megumi is, he chills out. And then shamelessly flirts with her, but she rejects his advances. He doesn’t plan to ask her for help, but ends up needing to. They slowly become friends while Megumi opens up and gets attached her as a mother figure. She discovers Toji has a dark secret but sticks by him and they end up starting a fling, which eventually turns into more. It’s very sweet.

5. Yakuza Clan AU

Sukuna is the boss, Geto is his advisor, Gojo is his second-in-command, Nanami is the treasurer, Toji is the enforcer, and Choso is head of surveillance. Now some of these aren’t like official titles or anything, more so what he wants and needs for his inner circle. I did some research on how the yakuza works but not like… extensively cos this is still fiction. Reader is sold to them by a human trafficker and she becomes their plaything (this one is really dark). The ending won’t exactly be happy regardless of how it turns out.

6. Vampire Coven AU

Sukuna is the coven leader, the other five are just members of the coven. The reader becomes their “pet”, aka their blood bag/toy (also very dark). Now this vampire one has grown extensive lore with lots of coven/clan politics. I went apeshit on the world-building with this one and tbh I’m the most excited to potentially write this. All the main 6 guys have extensive backstories on how they joined the coven and despite being a dark fic, there’s lots of tender moments and it will have a “happy”(?) ending.

7. Incubus!Sukuna AU

Sukuna finds the reader, thinks she’s cute, then proceeds to torment her. No real plot for this one (yet). Might just be a one-shot. Also dark. Obviously.

8. Ex!Geto and Friends-To-Lovers!Gojo

This one is gonna be real sad because it essentially follows the plot of JJK. Reader was with Geto when they were young. Geto leaves for his twisted ideals, and she and Gojo are left to pick up the pieces together and end up falling in love. Just very bittersweet and tragic all around.

I have some unhinged JJK AU ideas if y’all are interested… (reader insert, y’all should know what I’m about by now lmao).

Don’t know if I’ll ever write a full fic of them but the brainworms are controlling me like the ones in RFK.

Twilight: Chapters 1-8

I was bored and when I’m bored I read cheesy romance novels. Now seemed as good a time as any to read this series that I’ve heard so much about. 

Basically these are just my thoughts on the novel as I’m reading it. I already know quite a bit about the story so that is heavily effecting my thoughts and predictions. 

Of course there will be spoilers. 

Bella is like a kitten she tries to be intimidating and angry but really she’s just this cute little fluff ball that trips over nothing. It’s hilarious

Edward is just infuriating

Bruh. This guy- He was like you shouldn’t be my friend, stay away from me. Then he goes so do you wanna go to Seattle with me on Saturday? DUDE just stop 

I can’t take this book seriously. The writing’s bad. The characters are bad, the story is meh. But, inexplicably, I love it. It’s so funny. 

Okay. So I know Edward likes her but at this point in the book he has made no indication that his fascination and attraction to her is anything but pure friendliness and curiosity. But she’s like YO HE LIKES ME WHAT DOES THIS MEEEAAAANNN?!?!?!

WHAT THE- DUDE This guuuuuuuuuuuy Come on!  He has repeatedly been like nope we can’t be friends you should avoid me and then he asks her to go to Seattle with him. And then he’s like you should stay away. AND NOW he is sitting alone at lunch makes eye contact with her and then motions her over AND WINKS

My MC was kidnapped at 13 and turned into a child soldier. At some point she let two hostages go and as a punishment the soldiers burned her left eye with hot metal. I wondered, would it make sense? Or would they try to burn Idk her cheekbone and ended up burning her eye on accident? The torturer is her friend (same age) who was held at gunpoint and forced to do it. The soldiers are not the smartest torturers so it'd make sense if they fuck up. How would her trauma be like 3 years after this?

In fact, the point is that the torturers fail, cos she ends up running away at 16 and going back to get all the other child soldiers (half of the armed group) and gets them to fight back. Would this make sense? The soldiers use mutilation (cutting off fingers, tongues, ears, etc) to get people to obey. Is this method too efficient? Would it make sense for a bunch of kids to run away/fight back if they out-number their torturers? Also, what kind of difficulties would having only one eye create?

I’m not a medic so beyond ‘depth perception’ and the possibility of infection I honestly don’t know what kinds of problems having one eye would result in.

 How much sense these sorts of scarring and disabling torture make depends on the place and time you’ve set your story in. These kinds of abuses were more common historically then they are now.

 They do happen today and I think having an armed rebel group that’s relying on child soldiers- well that is the kind of setting where it can happen today. So based on that, I’m not going to advise that you just switch this kind of mutilation out and replace it with a clean torture.

 I am however going to suggest you take a look at the National Styles masterposts and think about where and when your story is set. Because to me this kind of mutilation in a modern setting would suggest a level of extreme lawlessness and chaos. Is this taking place in a warzone where all sense of law and order has broken down? Because if not- then I’d suggest having a bit of a re-think.

 If the torturers in this group are routinely amputating limbs then I think it’s more likely they’d burn the character’s eye on purpose then accidentally.

 And that- brings me to some of the misconceptions about torture that are evident from the questions you’ve asked.

 Before I go into this I want to stress that this is not your fault and I am not angry with you.

 I understand that finding accurate information on torture is incredibly hard. That’s why I’m here. I also understand that most of the information we learn about torture comes from works of fiction and generally those works of fiction repeat things that are not just wrong but dangerous in the real world.

 The assumptions about torture that a lot of fictional works present are essentially torture apologia. The one’s that you’ve taken in here are the idea that torture makes people obedient, that torture can be ‘smart and that resistance to torture is rare.

 You can read a little about the most common misconceptions over here.

 Torture isn’t ‘smart’. It isn’t skilled. And there isn’t really any way to make it either.

 Causing other people pain isn’t complicated. It doesn’t take intelligence or knowledge.

 Most tortures are something a six year old could think up.

 Please don’t feed into torture apologia by backing up the idea that torturers are clever, inventive and talented. They are not.

 Torture is really not effective at getting people to obey. Everything we know so far suggests it actually increases resistance.

 The statistic I use to illustrate this most of the time is from historical French data. Under certain circumstances French law allowed people to be tortured in order to force them to confess. Now we know that torture can force confessions and analysing the French data gives an idea of the ‘success’ rate for torture alone.

 It varied a little between regions but the average was 10%.

 So under torture 90% of people will not cooperate long enough to sign their name.

 Resistance, escape attempts and uprisings would be common in the setting you’ve described. Because if anything, torture encourages them.

 Central to this is the distinction between short term compliance and agreement/long term obedience.

 A lot of victims will comply over things they regard as less important. Many of them will act as if they agree with the abuser’s group. This is a survival strategy.

 In a similar vein a lot of victims who want to escape won’t necessarily take the first opportunity to do so. Victims are not stupid. They have a realistic idea of their chances of survival and they will often wait for an opportunity that they think increases their chance of success.

 They do resist while they wait, but these acts of resistance aren’t always obvious or successful.

 Some common examples which would fit your setting are:

Sabotage of weapons

Sabotage of other equipment

‘Accidentally’ breaking or losing important equipment

‘Accidentally’ breaking things that are personally important to the abuser

Blaming breakages or sabotage on people who support the abuser

Leaving secret messages for opposing groups (these don’t have to be found or to be successful)

Praying for the abusers to be punished

Poisoning the abusers

Poisoning themselves or other prisoners to deny the abusers a source of labour

Other forms of suicide for the same reason

Assisting other people when they want to escape

Anything the abusers have specifically forbid

Outright refusal to take part even when it means death or mutilation

 My advice here is to weave resistance into your story.

 Don’t make it a story about how your MC is the only one ‘tough’ or ‘good’ or ‘brave’ enough to resist. Instead make it a story about how is smart enough to wait for the best possible chance. How she works to create that chance.

 Don’t make it the only escape attempt, instead make it the most successful one.

 I think that leaves the question about long term effects on the character herself.

 The first thing to do is have a look at my Masterpost on the common symptoms of torture, here. You may also want to look at this post on how torture can effect memory.

 We can’t predict what symptoms any individual survivor will develop. Some symptoms are a little more common in particular circumstances but mostly it seems to be random.

 So I advise writers to pick symptoms based on what they feel will fit their character and story best.

 Think about whether any symptoms on the list will create interesting narrative problems later on the story. Think about whether any of them can be used to show the readers something about the main character. Think about whether any of the symptoms would effect her relationship with other characters in interesting ways.

 In this case, because it’s long term abuse that happens at a young age, I’d strongly suggest showing the character having difficulty interacting with other people. Then pick 3-5 other symptoms from the list to show for the rest of your stories.

 Survivors can improve with time but their symptoms do not vanish. Recovery is about learning to live a happy life despite symptoms. And this is possible.

 I’m going to leave you with some reading.

 I think you should read this online pamphlet on child soldiers. War Child will also have a lot of sources you’d find useful.

 Finally I think you should read up on the Congo and the colonial atrocities committed there, if you haven’t done so already.

 I don’t know a lot about the country or its history. I don’t feel comfortable recommending particular sources. I’d suggest starting by seeking out the work of academics who are from the country. My experience has been that people with a greater tie to the country can put events in context in a way outsiders often fail to. Accounts from people who survived or witnessed the atrocities are also incredibly valuable and will probably help you write this in a way that really reflects a survivor experience.

How did you become such a good writer? I hear a lot about writing workshops, but I was wondering if you had any experience that might have encouraged your writing to be so good?

Awww! That’s so sweet of you! Hahah thanks for the compliment :)  Ummm, to be perfectly honest?? This isn’t very helpful for people just starting out with writing, but I’ve been writing since I was legit like 3 years old. I’ve been writing almost as long as I’ve been talking - I even have a bone in my middle finger that formed wrong in it’s developmental stages because that’s where I hold a pen or pencil, and I wrote so much as a kid that the bone became deformed. This is gross, but here’s a picture haha: 

Ok that literally just looks like I’m flipping off the camera, but that knob at the tip is where my bone got all fucked up because of how long I’ve been writing haha. Ignore my nasty nail beds.  So I guess to answer your question, I’ve never really done anything like classes or practice to improve my writing - it’s something that just kind of flows with me. I’ve been doing it as long as I can remember.  I can list out some advice that might be helpful to people just starting out? These are some rules I live by:   1) READ READ READ - I never realized how much reading helps my writing until I binge read like 800 fanfics in one year and my writing improved exponentially. So seriously, READ.  2) When you’re writing, never go for the obvious. Don’t just say someone is angry, say something like...”their eyes are flashing with carefully concealed torrents of fury”...or something. That sounds sooo cheesy when I write it out like that, but literally, SHOW, don’t tell. It’s not just raining outside - “the skies have finally cracked and dirty rivulets of rainwater are carrying discarded cigarette butts along the city gutters like ships run aground”. Metaphors and similes are your BEST FRIEND in writing. You can play with them soooo much - just be careful not to go overboard. It’s okay to just say someone is angry or that it’s just raining, but if you want to hold a reader’s attention, mix it up and don’t write something bland like, “Tom woke up. It was raining outside. He was angry, because his alarm didn’t go off. He got out of bed and stomped to the shower...” etc. Know what I mean? You’re an artist painting a picture with words. You’re not giving a lecture, you’re creating art. Make it pretty! #metaphors  <- Trend that shit.  3) When you’re writing a scene, don’t just write it, SEE it. See it in your head. People don’t just sit stiffly and talk like robots when they’re having a conversation. People DO things - people fidget. “Sally ponders what Phil said, chewing on the inside of her cheek mindlessly and brushing a stray hair back from her face. She feels a swell of uncertainty grow in her chest like a flower that only blooms at night, under the mask of the moon.”  Oh my GOD everything I write here sounds so cheesy - but does that make sense? You really have to SEE it in your head when you’re writing. Like you’re watching a movie in your own brain. And then translate everything you’re seeing to paper. Not just the surface things like dialogue - when people are talking, there’s a fly on the wall. A clock is ticking, there’s a train horn in the distance, the wind picks up outside, someone crosses their arms to hide what they’re thinking, the oven dings in the next room, someone shakes their head and bites their thumbnail, someone notices the wallpaper is peeling in the corner and goes to pick at it, etc etc etc. You have a whole setting to play with, you just have to close your eyes and see it.  4)  And when you’re actually writing a story, you have the advantage of planting little seeds of internal emotions going on in your characters. In movies, it’s hard to really get a good internal monologue from the characters. But in writing, you can dig as deep as you want into your character’s brains. And that’s REALLY fun, so play with it. Characterization is soooo important. Plot is important too, but who gives a fuck about a plot if a reader doesn’t really care what happens to the characters living the plot? I spend a lot of time on characterization - I’m especially fond of giving characters tragic backstories :P It makes them so interesting to write, I feel like a puppeteer. And you can reveal their backstories any way you wish, whether it be flashbacks, PTSD, looking through old photos, etc. Even through a conversation with another character. They’re literally Playdoh, mold them however you want, that’s the best part.  5)   Foreshadowing is your friend too. I make sure I have stories outlined before I start writing them. That doesn’t mean you have to outline it to a T - it just means you have a basic idea of beginning, middle, and end. You know how the story is going to end and all the little secrets you plan to reveal in between. That’s not to say that some of the magic doesn’t happen WHILE you’re writing (for example, in Hautley’s Bend, the squash lady was completely unplanned - she just happened unexpectedly while I was writing). But it’s fun to drop little cliffhangers, and foreshadowing in stories. It keeps people engaged. And if you have a basic idea of how your story is going to go (I call it the “skeleton” of the story, and while you’re writing, you add on all the meat) it prevents continuity errors too, which is important.  I think that’s all I can manage to pull out of my ass right now - hopefully some of that is helpful! Sorry I kind of rambled haha.  But I guess most importantly, write for YOU. Yes, it’s good to have a basic audience type in mind (ie: who you think will read your story), but ultimately, the story is coming from you, and you’re allowed to make it go in any direction you want, regardless of who you piss off or offend or whatever. Don’t look at writing your story as a chore - I spend a lot of time daydreaming about stories in my head, to the point where characters and scenes feel REAL to me (call me crazy, idk haha). When I’m driving to work, I listen to music and find songs that fit certain scenes in my stories, or songs that would go well with a certain character. You just have to find inspiration everywhere, and really immerse yourself in what you’re writing. I spend more time just daydreaming about my stories than I do actually writing them (which I wouldn’t advise because, ya know, I never get any writing done lol).
