Little Majd needs your help

Majd Al-Habeel @youseffamily has known little of life without suffering. After losing his home to IOF bombardment, he and his parents were forced to live in a tent. This wreaked havoc on Majd’s health, as he is diagnosed with a serious respiratory illness that limits his ability to breathe. Living in a tent leaves one exposed to dust, dirt, debris, vermin, mold, fungus, and harsh weather—the worst possible environment for a child with his condition.

His family requires mutual aid to provide for Majd’s life-saving care, as well as to procure food, water, medications, other supplies, and clothing and gear for winter. They are a little over two-thirds of the way to their current listed goal, with still a long way to go. Please help this family out and give sweet Majd a better chance at life.

Save my orphan children

I am Inas, a mother of two young children: Muhammad, 7 years old, and Hala, 5 years old. They should have been living their childhood like all children—safe and warm in the embrace of their father. But the war has stolen that dream from us😭😭😭

Six months ago, my husband Anas, a kind-hearted man who endured a life of poverty, was killed by a random shell while on his way to work as a taxi driver. Since that tragic day, I’ve been left to carry the unbearable weight of life alone.

I held a diploma in international secretarial studies and was about to start a job to help support my family. But the war shattered not only our home but also my hopes and dreams. We’ve been displaced six times and now live in a tent that offers no shelter from the bitter cold or the ever-looming fear.

My young children face relentless hunger that weakens their fragile bodies and a cold that knows no mercy for their small hearts. Each day, their cries for warmth and food grow louder, and each day, I feel more helpless to provide them with even the basics of life💔😭😭

I appeal to your humanity, to your compassion. We need your help to survive, to find a safe shelter, and to feed my children. Your generosity could be the reason Muhammad and Hala continue to live and find hope amidst this darkness🥹

I must say. I have never, in my life, seen such a display of divine punishment. It was almost poetic, like a hero from the epics of old rising in vengence and rage, a symbol of the people. As someone vehemently against the death penalty I should feel disgusted, but I really cannot help but be in awe at this man.

Sometimes, money and power rise you so above justice that you must be brought down to earth and reminded you're mortal. The passing of a soul is always a shame, but when a soul kills thousands and views lives as mere numbers to fill his pockets? I may no longer be that religious, but I will say even Jesus Cristo - known hater of the rich and despiser of fucking other people over - would find it hard to keep up with "love each other as I have loved you" motto. Perhaps that's why he's a religious figure and I am not, for my heart hasn't experienced this catharsis in ages.

The one thing that I do find a little bit depressing about this whole United healthcare/Brian Thompson thing is every single US politician is incredibly quiet right now. Like, they know that the American people don’t fucking like this system we’re in. It has been a universal rejection and I can tell they’re just trying to wait it out so they can go back to business as usual. That does not make me happy. Like, I know they don’t wanna give up on this very lucrative money they get from the insurance company to keep it going, but they also know that siding with insurance companies right now is very unpopular. I would feel a little bit more comfortable in this moment if more politicians would be saying things like “we hear you, we see you, we are going to create some meaningful healthcare reform.”
