DEALING WITH A BAD GRADE

1: SELF CARE 

Dealing with a grade that was unexpected for you, or above your standards can be a huge hit to our academic confidence. So, make sure not to treat yourself harshly because of one grade. 

DON’T BE HARD ON YOURSELF. I know it may not seem like it now, but receiving one below-average grade is not the end of the world or your academic career, nor does it represent your abilities as a student.

That being said, do not ‘punish’ yourself for a bad grade. I see that it's from a point of wanting to improve, but it’s more harmful to believe that overworking yourself will improve your grade. 

VENT OR RANT. Whether you’re talking to a classmate, friend, or family or doing some way to document your feelings, just let it all out. It can be frustrating or stressful for us if we receive a bad grade, especially if we spend so long studying for it or it has a huge weighting. 

DETACH FROM THE GRADE, just temporarily. I’m not saying forget about it, but just put it on the back of the burner and focus on the present moment. If needed, do some things you enjoy to relax and relieve your stress.      

2: IMPROVING 

Everything that you want to do after having a bad grade, to prevent that in the future and to reconcile your mistakes. Remember that improvement is only there if you commit. 

LOOK FOR ERRORS. Were your study methods effective? Did you have instrumental understanding or rational understanding of the topic? Did you use your class time effectively?

I’m so fucking sorry you had to go through that again and I’m here for you.“

She nodded and moved her hand to hold yours. “You went through a lot too, you lost your roommate, you were betrayed by Ethan- Speaking of Ethan is it too early to say I told you so?” She asked with a little smirk as you playfully nudged her.

“I was scared I was going to loose you too, Min. After the train incident I had a complete panic attack. Everyone at the hospital was trying to calm me down but I couldn’t handle the thought that you might have died and I was scared I couldn’t save you. You mean so much to me.” You were starting to tear up a little at this point but blinked the tears away. She was looking at you with just pure admiration and a little shock, she had never had anyone care so much for her. Besides Chad but romantically speaking this was a first for her.

You two didn’t say anything for a moment just taking everything in. You were looking at her and memorizing every detail about her you could. She was so pretty. The LED lights over your bed illuminating her beautifully. “Mindy.” You didn’t mean it to but it came out as a whisper. She responded back in the same tone, “Yeah?”

“I love you.”

Her eyes went wide and her mouth opened a little.

“You what?”

It wasn’t in a mean or harsh tone she just couldn’t really believe it. “I love you” you repeated with a smile on your face. She tried remaining eye contact with you but couldn’t. You titled your head a little wondering what was wrong before it clicked. With the biggest smirk on your face you asked “Mindyy are you flustered right now?” You said it in a very playful and teasing tone and she rolled her eyes at you before responding with “Pssh no no I am not”

“You definitely are! Aww you look so cute right now Mindyy!” “Shut up! I am not flustered.” She now had her own wide smile on her face. You both calmed down a little before you told her “I do mean it though, I love you” while rubbing your thumb over her knuckles. It was silent for a moment before she put her hand on your cheek and kissed you.

You happily kissed her back and put your hand on her waist. It was a long and passionate kiss. After you both pulled away she kissed your cheek and rested her forehead on yours. “I love you too” she said with a grin on her face “I mean if you couldn’t tell.” You laughed and slightly shook your head.

I was actually thinking about the seven or the angels assigned on earth would eventually get corrupted by the sins or evil that is present there. Originally, I was thinking of their corruption like the one in noragami? When exposed to so much evil it would slowly corrupt them, making them sick and weird eyes would grow on their bodies of sorts and the few ways they can heal themselves are by cleansing themselves with holy water or if push comes to shove, like already borderline dangerous... Then a spell, a spell to separate the evil corrupting the angel. It has to be done by other angels as they need to lock the corrupted angel in a prison of sorts anddd forcefully separates the evil from the angel's body which could be very painful.

Also, yesss... Physical affections are one of her love languages and she often wears fashion that humans wear as she gets influenced by them and sometimes she gifts other of her close angel friends clothes too! [Y/n] and Michael often bonded over their need for coffee to function but she had to stop as it was making her go insane as she gets hyper lmao. Besides, she values her sleep.
