Request: Can I have uuuhhhh…. A45 - person A being a small ball of aggression while person B is a big teddy bear with Tara Carpenter as Person A (maybe not agressive but how Tara is, maybe a bit grumpy and moody) and Reader as person B? And also maybe that R is Flustered around Tara ◡̈
Warning: suggestive themes, Tara being kinky, bad words and that’s it I think?
A/N: I just figured something out and I love doing it sm.
Part 2?
Tara Carpenter x G!p!reader

A fight between Tara and Sam is always hell, both trying to always be right which made it all go in a constant circle. You were usually the main cause of them and because of that they seemed to be getting more and more frequent as Tara healed over time after Woodsboro. The aftermath was always you having to listen to Tara rant in your own apartment not too far from their shared one.
And every time you took it upon yourself to tell Sam she was with you knowing the older carpenter was probably freaking out each second Tara was gone. She tried to hate you for it — how you would rage along whenever she would sneak off to parties or sneak into their apartment or sneak Tara out — but it was no use, you were too sweet and always protected Tara so she settled for subtle glares and small comments whenever you were near.
The relationship itself confused Sam and many others around you. While you were quiet and reserved, Tara was out going and wanted to be out there. Which made her wonder why you just followed her where ever she decided to go.
Let’s not forget the size difference. How could she? When she first met you at the hospital she had to admit, she was both surprised and intimidated but you seemed to be far more intimidated by the older sister. Your personality was completely different from your looks which made everything far more confusing to the girl.
How can someone so big be so soft for her grumpy short sister? She had no clue.
But here you say on the couch at a random costume party hosted by some chick you’ve never met with a red solo cup full something you didn’t dare ask when Chad gave it to you in your black tank top and orange cargo pants dressed as a prisoner, per Tara’s request to match her. It was Tara’s way of rebelling against her sister and to prove that she was her own woman.
Music blaring loudly, the entire house dark with flashing lights, and people moved and danced closely. Something you weren’t fond of but still went along with the group because Tara seemed so excited about it.
In the dark room you catch sight of Chad in his zombie football player costume, a classic and boring one but then again it was last second. And not too far behind him was Ethan in his… Yoshi costume… the large hat stuck out and you began to realize why he didn’t have a girlfriend, he made up for it with his awkward charm though.
You had a few shots with the two and allowed Chad to make you a drink mixed with different things you dare not drink out of before slipping away onto the empty couch.
That left Mindy, Anika and Tara who were most likely somewhere playing a game having something to do with alcohol.
Suddenly, a girl in a Mario costume takes a seat next to you. At least she could have made it look cute, it was just a red t-shirt with an ‘M’ on it and black shorts.
Another group stood nearby watching and giggling. You notice another girl who wore the same thing but as Luigi. Oh great.
A few beats of silence goes by before she speaks. “Hey, do I know you from somewhere?” she asks with a smile before leaning in and as soon as she does your nose is filled with her excessive amount of body spray. Not even the good kind.
“Uh,” you start before looking through out the dark room to see if you can find any of your friends but not even Ethan’s Yoshi hat was in sight. “No, I don’t think so?” You say, slightly scooting away from the girl and sipping your drink, face scrunching up after taking your first sip not knowing how strong it really was.
Another best of silence, the music sending vibrations through your body. “Oh, I know!” She yells and you flinch slightly, not sure how she managed to make her voice louder than the music that shook the house but she did.
“You’re that cute tall girl in my astronomy class!” She says and your eyes snap to the side giving her a side eye glare. You didn’t recognize her from the class but then again you didn’t exactly pay attention to the people, not trusting anyone enough to make new friends.
Now you see what Sam meant when she called you ‘anti-social Godzilla’ the other night when Tara made you stay the night with her.
“You, like, sit in the back of the class.” She says excitedly and scoots a little closer. Too close for comfort, your face scrunches up slightly from the mass amount of perfume wafted into your face as she gets closer, saying something you could no longer hear as the music suddenly got louder and the DJ spoke into his mic.
“Huh?” You call out as her mouth continued to move but nothing really comes out or rather you don’t hear anything. This seems to make her move closer, a bad choice in the eyes of the brunette who watched not too far away.
Anger couldn’t describe what she was feeling as she watched the girl lean closer toward you. She would never admit to being jealous out loud but here she was, watching your face scrunch up as you tilt your head at the girl.
It wasn’t often she felt this way, not at all. Even before you started dating you didn’t show any interest in anyone else but her and that’s exactly how she got you to ask her out so she didn’t have to. And even now she trusted you never to betray her trust but that didn’t stop others from pursuing you anyway.
And that made her blood boil. How could they not know your taken with the necklace that had her initials on it? Or the fact that you had faint hickeys on your neck left by her? Maybe they just took advantage of the fact that you were a push over or they were just dumb.
That’s what this blonde bitch must have been. Straight up dumb.
She had seen her staring at you on campus and made it her mission to show that you were together by being all over you. Holding your hand, hugging you, kissing you, sitting in your lap, all of it. But apparently that just wasn’t enough.
“I think we should jump her.” Mindy says out of no where, face close to Tara’s to see what she was looking at. She was slightly crouched down and looked stupid doing so in her miles morales spider man suit as it bunched up in different places.
“Me too.” Tara huffs out as she crosses her arms, a small smirk appears on her faces as you pull away as the girl gets closer.
“Or you could just intervene without getting physical by pulling Y/N away.” Anika interjects in her spider Gwen outfit as she takes a shot.
“I like Mindy’s idea better.” Tara says, narrowing her eyes as the girl gets closer once again. “I’ll start by pushing her down and we can start kicking, Anika can record.” Mindy gums out as she stands up straight.
Tara definitely liked the idea, and even more so when the girl placed her hand on your arm.
“Don’t instigate, you’ll make her want to lock up Y/N for the night.” Anika hits Mindys chest as she gets closer, holding another shot before gesturing to Tara’s police costume.
Tara’s eyes light up at the idea and suddenly she was glad she went full cop mode with her costume. Taser and pepper spray that Sam forced her to carry around on her hips along with a radio, fake gun or rather it’s holster, and a pair of hand cuffs.
Oh, she definitely liked that idea and Anika smirked at the face Tara made when she suggested the idea.
Tara quickly took the handcuffs out of her belt loop and cuffed one of her wrist before making a beeline for you and just in time for the girl to get even closer. This fueled her speed of getting to you.
“Shoot me a thumbs up if you change your mind and want to go with plan A!” She heard Mindy’s voice faintly as the music blared in her ears.
As soon as she was close enough she hooked the other half of the hand cuffs onto the wrist the was holding your drink and locked it in, she then let go and stood up proud of herself as she glanced at you.
A confused look was spread across your face as you stared down at the hand cuffs connecting the two of you before looking up to her.
She couldn’t help but smile as a dark shade spread across your cheeks as you stared up at her, eyes wide and confused.
Her eyes snap to the girl before narrow at the annoyed look on her face. Why was she annoyed for flirting with her girlfriend. Tara felt the growing need to look back to Mindy and give her that thumbs up.
“Oops,” she says, voice sharp as she glares at the girl. “I slipped.” She sarcastically through gritted teeth as the girl rolls her eyes.
Who did this chick think she was? She couldn’t have thought you would even think about her with that basic ass costume and paint for make up.
“Don’t you have a key or something?” The girl says back, voice full of annoyance. She knew what she was doing and that was enough to make Tara want to be ghostface herself.
“I left them at home.” Tara replies before yanking your hand up to pull you up but it only caused you to drop the drink onto the floor.
“I’m thirsty and you’re all out.” She says her eyes snapping back to you as your eyes focus on the red seeping into the carpet on the floor. “Let’s go get a drink.”
You quickly got the memo when Tara pulled again but less harshly before standing up.
She smiles slightly up at you before sending the girl one last glare before slipping her bandaged and cuffed hand into yours and pulling you away.
“You slipped, huh?” You ask in a teasing tone as Tara pushes through the crowd with a huff. You apologize to the people who look back at her with a glare and move past them without bumping into them as Tara continued to shove her way through with slight resistance but she got through eventually with enough force.
“I am quite clumsy.” She replies as you near Mindy and Anika who have started a game of cup pong with two boys.
“Y/N! Great to see we didn’t have to jump a few girls to save your socially awkward ass.” Mindy replies before looking down to you and Tara’s cuffed hands.
“I didn’t take you for the kinky kind of couple.” Mindy says wiggling her eye brows before laughing when Anika hits her chest.
Tara’s eyes lightly up for a moment before quickly hiding it and smiling. Another idea for later.
Another wave of heat fills your face as you look down at Tara. Her police her was too large for her and was tilting slightly as she smirked not bothering to fix it. You would have thought it was adorable but at the moment you were a little embarrassed. “Did you actually leave the keys at home or we’re you joking?” You lean down and whisper into her as the music continues to blare, the action made her shiver lightly as her ears tinted with a pink hue.
“Oh, I have them.” She says casually as she picks up her drink she had before rushing off to get you. “But I’m not unlocking the cuffs until we get home.” She says as she holds up a red solo cup to her lips as leans into your front as she watches the game of cup pong.
You sigh out before smiling at her sudden possessiveness. It was often you got to see it but every time it always made you feel special that she wanted you all to herself.
You chuckle lightly before wrapping your arm around her and watching the game yourself as you rub her skin and bandage soothingly to help calm the girl down.
————
“Wait, just slow dow-“ you start as Tara pulls your wrist harshly as she climbs up her fire escape as quietly as possible before letting out a hiss as the cuffs pinch you lightly.
“Shit! Sorry, sorry..” she says as she lowers her wrist so you no longer felt the force of being pulled up. She had insisted on keeping the cuffs on and you were beginning to wonder if she actually had the keys.
You had been pulled around all night so your wrist weren’t exactly fond of the smaller girl, especially when she made you fall a few times through out the night and pull herself down with you.
“Why didn’t you just take them off before we started crawling up?” You whisper yell as she continues her way up, her back side pressed up against your front now and you can’t help the blush the forms as her ass presses up against your pelvis area.
“I wasn’t thinking!” She whisper yells back as you both make it up to her window. “Plus, it’s cute when you blush like that.” She giggles as your face grows redder before pulling you into her room.
The lights were off in the hall around the apartment as you slipped in and nothing seemed disturbed other than the fact that you and Tara would have a hangover in the morning but you could cover that up easily.
You sigh out as you take a seat on the bed and Tara fumbles into her pocket before pulling out the keys and unlocking the cuffs with a small frown.
You rub your wrist as you watch her make her way toward her closet, peeling off clothes as she did so.
You smile lightly as you watch her pull down one of the hoodies you gave her and pull it over her head before pulling down your cargo pants and letting them hit the floor.
She quickly makes her way back to you as you scoot up the bed before straddling your waist and burying her face into your neck and letting out a soft but long sigh. You chuckle lightly as you wrap your arms around her
She felt exhausted after pulling you around most of the night, keeping you close as you danced and drank the night away. But now she was regretting it slightly as her wrist aches and her body relaxed into you as you scratched her back.
She let out another sigh before her mind wandered back to the girl who had the audacity to try her shot with you. She slowly felt the jealousy creeping back up into her and her exhaustion left as she bit you lightly.
Your body jolts slightly as her teeth connect to your skin and she can’t help but smirk as she feels something move on your lower abdomen.
“Tara…” you say in a warning tone as she eyes the hand cuffs on her bed side table. “It’s late and everyone’s asleep, so we should be too.” You sigh out as your grip tightens on the smaller girl, blush creeping into your face as you feel your own erection push against your boxers and onto her.
To this day you are astonished by this small girls strength and speed as she pulls out of your grasp and grabs something off the table. You let out another before a loud clinking catches your attention as she slides up from your waist to straddle your stomach.
Your eyes snap to her hands as she grabs your wrist and pushes them against her bed frame, slipping one cuff on and sliding it behind the railing and slips it onto your other.
You stare up, shocked by the sudden movements and their results. You yank lightly onto the cuffs and the bed frame moves, hitting the wall gently making a small noise.
Tara quickly grabs your hands and holds them still, a glare on her face as she looks down at you.
“T-tara..” you sputter out as blush once again forms across your cheeks.
“Shh,” she says leaning down, hands still on yours as her lips graze yours. “Wouldn’t want to make too much noise, now would we?” She says teasingly as a smile stretches across her face as her lust filled eyes look down into your worried ones.
“What if we get caught?” You ask, eyes locking onto the door where same could walk in any moment and catch you in such a state.
She presses her lips against yours harshly, one hand moving the your jaw as the other stays on your bound hands. Your lips move in sync as the kiss deepens further, her body pressed against yours and she slowly feels your cock harden as she does so and she can’t help but smirk lightly at how easy it was to get you going. She hadn’t even touched you and yet here you were, ready for her to start.
But there was no doubt in her mind that she was still going to touch and tease you first before starting.
The thoughts of Sam walking In immediately leave as you let out a small whine and pull against you restraints, desperate to touch the girl above you. Tara’s hand tighten on yours and her teeth nip your bottom lip. You open your mouth slightly from the sudden intrusion and she takes the opportunity to slip her tongue into your mouth.
Oh, this was going to be fun. Will it cause yet another fight between her and her sister? Yes. Does she really care at the moment? Absolutely not.
She’ll just use this as another excuse to rebel against the older Carpenter.

TAGS: @perfectartisanwerewolf @icarly23 @dogsayswoof @btay3115 @cartierdreamx
“Hello? Y/n? I’m coming to your dorm right now can you meet me there, it’s important,” Tara spoke quickly and bit the nail on her thumb shakily while she paced back and forth.
“Um sure Tara, is everything okay?”
“It’s fine, just hurry,” and with that Tara hung the phone up leaving you dumbfounded. You looked at your date apologetically and gathered your things, “Shit, I’m sorry but I have to go-“
“What, Is something wrong?”
“It’s just my friend she wants me to meet her right away, I think it’s important,” you said standing up.
“Do you want me to bring you home?” They ask stuttering from the abruptness of the situation.
You turn to face them, “No, I’m okay, but thank you! I had a good time tonight,” you give them a sweet smile before hurrying out the restaurant’s door. You wonder what Tara could want.
When Tara hung up she wasted no time in running out of her bedroom door.
“Mindy!” Tara yelled while walking in the living room where all her friends sat. “I’m meeting y/n at your dorm, could you come with me and let me in?” She talked so fast, Mindy almost couldn’t keep up with what she was asking.
“Can’t I just give you the keys?” Mindy asked raising an eyebrow at the frantic girl.
Tara rolled her eyes, she was annoyed and in a rush, “I mean you could, but I need you there with me so I don’t say anything stupid to her.”
“But-“
“No buts Mindy! C’mon on lets go lets go!” Tara ran up to the girl and dragged her out of her seat, “this is important!”
“Okay okay!” Mindy groaned and put her hands up in defense, “I’ll go with you, Jesus.” She muttered.
“Thank you!”
And with that they both quickly left. Tara practically running while Mindy struggled to keep up.
When Tara and Mindy made it to the dorm they barely had time to settle in before you walked in, a worried expression on your face. Your eyes darted between Tara and Mindy, “Hey, is everything okay? Did you guys get hurt or something?” You asked out of breath, it was clear you ran here and that made Tara smile a bit knowing you still really cared about her.
“Y/n, hi,” Tara says softly, “um I just wanted to talk to you about something.” Your eyebrows furrowed, “So, nobody died? On the phone you sounded like you got hurt or something and what’s Mindy doing here?”
“Um hello, I live in this dorm too-“ Tara cut off Mindy’s sentence by lightly slapping her arm and giving her a look. Mindy sighed and rolled her eyes before sitting down, she might as well get comfortable if she has to witness this.
“I brought Mindy to let me in..” Tara started saying embarrassed, “…and cause I wanted her support .” She muttered and you barely made out what she said. She looked at you for a moment. Your breathing was more even than before and that confused look she found so adorable was still stuck on your face.
Mindy cleared her throat loud enough to snap Tara out of her trance. “Right, okay.“ You waited for her next words patiently, the poor girl seemed so nervous you thought she’d throw up. Tara composed herself, if she was going to do this she was going to do it right.
“Y/n, you’re my best friend and I don’t see you as a best friend. I mean you mean more to me than that.” Mindy resisted the urge to face palm herself and your confused state didn’t change. Fuck. “I mean I like you and I don’t like Chad. I flirt with Chad but I don’t mean it, I just like him- him as a friend. He’s my friend and you- you’re not. I mean you are!”
“Okay!” Mindy intervened getting second hand embarrassment. She turned to you, “I apologize for Tara. She can’t be romantic at all,” she said glancing at Tara then looking back at you. She said something to you that Tara couldn’t make out and left.
She couldn’t quite read the expression that was now on your face but she knew you were calm and that eased her a bit. “Tara why don’t you sit down and I’ll get you some water,” you said already walking to the kitchen. Tara nodded, “Yeah, sure.” She took a deep breath and when she made sure you were in the kitchen she pulled out her phone and texted Mindy.
T 🤭 WHERE TF DID YOU GO??
Mindy 😘 I was getting embarrassed for you, T. Have you never confessed to someone before?
T 🤭 It wasn’t even that bad
Mindy 😘 Right that’s why Anika’s laughing at you rn
T 🤭 YOU ARE SUCH A TATTLETALE
Dude I need your help
Mindy 😘 Just be like “y/n I’ve liked you for a long time I’m sorry I’m too stupid to realize you were flirting with me. I flirt with Chad as a joke and he feels the same. we don’t like each other like that. I really like you and I would like to take you on a date” boom it’s plain and simple babes
T 🤭 Anika helped you with that didn’t she
Mindy 😘 Can you stfu and go confess your undying love
T 🤭 Tell Ani thank you and that I love her
She put her phone down at the sound of you walking back in the living room, “Here.” Your gentle tone made her heart melt. “Thanks,” Tara sipped the water and put it on the coffee table. She took another deep breath, “Let me start over, y/n. I really want to make this right.”
You nodded at her to continue. Tara patted the spot next to her urging you to sit next to her on the couch, which you did. “Okay so, I like you. I like you as more of a friend, y/n. You just mean so much to me and I’m sorry I didn’t realize you liked me. I’m sorry you thought I liked Chad cause I don’t,” she chuckled softly before continuing, “and I’m sorry if I hurt you.”
You looked at her only to find she was staring right at you. The soft grin that took over your features had Tara’s stomach erupting in butterflies. It gave Tara the hope that she had made things right. You took Tara’s hand and put it in yours, gently tracing her knuckles with your thumb. “I like you too, T.” Your voice was barely above a whisper, “Thank you.”
She matched your tone, “You’re welcome.”
The two of you had a moment looking into each other eyes and grinning like idiots before you broke the silence. “So which one of them helped you rehearse that?”
“Huh?” Tara asked with a tilt of her head and you giggled. “I don’t know I was just wondering if Mindy or Anika helped you with that cause that was really good. It was definitely better than what you had said when I first came in.” Tara laughed loudly at that, “Yeah, I’m pretty sure it was Anika.”
When both of you calmed down from laughing Tara decided to break the silence this time, “Will you go out with me?”
You almost scoffed, “I thought you’d never ask.”
YAYAY AND THERE IT IS! Hope everyone likes it, I had fun with it :)

Fuck it I love you
pairing: sam carpenter x fem!reader
summary: When paired with Tara Carpenter for a project you were expecting a B or maybe even an A. Not falling in love with Tara's older sister, Sam.
series masterlist
words: 2.320k
warnings: mean sam, light swearing, reader being down bad for our sammy, bad writing
authors note: alright my darlings the first chapter to the sam mini series as promised. the wonderful anon who requested this, my dear i am so sorry it took so long for me to get to this. although it's taken a while, i do hope you still enjoy this! feedback and comments are greatly appreciated:)
The wonders of college.
You get to meet new people, explore your sexuality, party like there’s no tomorrow, try new things and staying up till three in the morning crying over a piece of work that’s due that very morning that you decided to wait till the last minute to do only to instantly regret it, saying you’ll never do the same mistake next time but knowing deep down inside you will.
And of course the trials and tribulations of group projects. Something everyone loathed, and if anyone said otherwise they’re lying.
You have never been a fan of group projects; so when your professor announced that you’ll be doing a pair project you couldn’t tell if you wanted to slap him or cry. Probably both. The absolute worst thing about projects that involve more than one party member is awkwardly asking a stranger if they’re willing to work with you.
That’s why when you heard that familiar sweet voice speak to you, you couldn’t help but smile.
“You cool with doing this together?” Tara Carpenter asked you with a nervous smile.
You and Tara aren’t exactly friends, more like acquaintances; if one missed a presentation the other would give them their notes to copy off of, saving a seat next to each other, saying hello if you ever see each other around campus.
It isn’t the fact you don’t want to be friends with Tara, she seems like a really kind woman but she’s quite distant and quiet. You can’t judge her or shame her for it since you’re shy, awkward and always in a state of anxiety.
Maybe this would be the push to make you and Tara become friends.
You smile at the brunette with an appreciative gleam in your eyes. “Please. I was already planning a speech on why the professor should allow me to do this alone.” Tara laughs, covering her mouth with her hand as the corner of her eyes crinkled with delight.
“Lucky for me then.” Tara stays silent for a few moments before she added. “Do you wanna just get the whole awkward phone exchange now?”
You chuckled, nodding your head as you dug out your phone from the pocket of your hoodie, unlocking it and passing it over to her. Tara stares between and your phone almost bewildered with the fact you just passed your phone over to her without hesitation, rather than just saying your number.
She slowly takes your phone and adds her phone number into your contacts texting herself before passing it back to you. You smiled at her as you pocketed your phone back into its original space of your pocket.
___________
A few days have passed ever since you and Tara exchanged phone numbers but no plans had been made on when you two should start. You refused to leave this till the last second like you’ve done so many times before, swallowing your nerves you unlock your phone and send Tara a message.
Me (11:32am): hey tara it’s y/n from class, i was wondering what day we can meet to start our project. i was thinking we could meet in the library whenever you can :)
Instantly you shut your phone off after the message is delivered; there always has been something so weirdly intimidating about messaging someone you don’t really know. Deciding to distract yourself you go make yourself a sandwich for lunch, leaving your phone in your room.
After two episodes of New Girl and a delicious sandwich had been eaten you returned to your room in search of your phone. Flopping down on your bed you grab your phone and see Tara has messaged you back.
Tara (12:15pm): hi y/n:) if you’re free we can meet today to get started on our project? the only issue is that i can’t come to the library
Me (12:23pm): im more than good with today!! :D
Me (12:23pm): do you wanna come over to my apartment then??
Tara (12:24pm): actually is it alright if you come over to my apartment, around half two?
Me (12:24pm): yeah idm, just as long as we start it lol. where do you live?
Tara (12:28pm): the apartment complex near Blackmore, apartment number 56
Me (12:28pm): okie dokie, see you soon :D
Tara (12:29pm): 😊👍
You grinned to yourself slightly proud you’ve decided to be smart and start this project early. You just hoped the actual planning of the project would go just as smoothly.
___________
At two you decided to leave your apartment, wearing a simple white shirt along with some mom jeans. Not even ten minutes into your walk it began pouring down with rain, leaving you sprinting towards the complex as your heavy backpack hit your bag with every step.
Slamming the double door entrance to the apartment complex open, you instantly gasp for breath as water drips off of every part of you.
How fucking typical.
You pull out your phone and with wet fingers you send Tara a quick message before slowly starting to walk up the stairs.
By the second floor you started to get tired, by the third you began wondering why the fuck there isn’t an elevator in this place, by the fourth you’re questioning your life choices and by the time you arrive on the fifth floor you’re breathing like a life long smoker who just ran towards the store after noticing they’re out of cigarettes.
Like a zombie you walk over to the apartment door with the number ‘56’ on it, sluggishly you raise your hand and knock on the door two times.
After a painstakingly long time a woman answers the door, and you’re pretty sure your heart explodes at the sight of her.
She’s got olive skin that looks so irresistibly smooth, dark brown eyes that glared at you, she’s around the same height of you if not maybe a bit taller. She’s leaning against the door frame as she’s only opened the door a small amount so her figure could be shown.
Her lips are pulled in a tight straight line as her arms crossed over her stomach, the tight grey vest top she’s wearing showing off her impressive biceps. She’s glaring at you with her cold eyes as she glowers down at you.
“Who are you?” She asks in a voice that is ever so raspy, her eyes gazing up and down your body. Your ears burn scarlet red at her eyes checking you out as you stare at her in awe. “I’m, uhm, Tara’s project partner. Y/n L/n.” You stutter out as you can feel your heart beating erratically in your chest.
If this isn't gay panic you don’t know what is.
“Why are you so wet?” She questions with judging eyes.
‘Cause of you
“It started raining after I left my apartment and I didn’t bring a coat.” You explained with a nervous smile as you locked eyes with the woman’s.
She hummed as she turned to look behind her, after a few seconds the door opened wider and Tara appeared next to the woman, the height difference between the two almost making you laugh.
Tara smiled a small smile to you before it faded and changed into shocked one. “You’re soaked.” She states in a matter of fact way. You laugh nervously as you nod your head, rubbing the back of your neck with your hand. “Started raining on the way here.”
She frowned concerned as she took a step back, allowing you to enter, while the older woman still stayed in the doorway, glaring daggers at you. You swallowed nervously as Tara glared at the woman. “Sam, she's fine, don't be a bitch.”
Sam
Sam stares at you for a while before she reluctantly leaves the doorway and back into the apartment, you smile at Sam’s behaviour as you turn to look at Tara.
“Sorry about her, she's just really protective over me.” Tara apologises with a smile as you enter the apartment, closing the door behind you.
As you get a good view of the apartment you notice two other people talking to Sam, you've seen them around Blackmore.
The three of them are glaring at you as they whisper among each other. When they notice you’re looking at them they silence, all silently staring back at you.
Without thinking, you wave your hand at them as you smile. “Hi, I’m Y/n. I’m pretty sure I’ve seen you two before around campus.”
Tara doesn’t allow you to say more as her slender fingers wrap around your wrist as she drags you towards the dining table, your eyes remained on her beautiful sister Sam.
“I'll get you a towel, you prepare.” Tara tells you with a smile before taking off. You nod your head as you do as she said, take off your backpack and take out everything from inside it and place it onto the table.
Tara thankfully returns a few minutes later with a towel and a dry hoodie, she passes them over to you.
“You can borrow the hoodie if you want since your shirt is more than less see through.” She says with an amused laugh, you look down at blush at the fact it’s quite obvious you’re wearing a black bra.
“Thank you.” You tell her with an embarrassed laugh as you shamelessly take off your shirt and throw it into your bag before putting on the hoodie. It's warm and slightly too big for you, but you don’t mind it.
Grabbing the towel you place it under you, making sure you wouldn’t utterly soak the chair from the rain on your pants.
She gives a smile before she begins talking about her plans on what you two could do, stretching to reach the notebook full of notes you had brought with you.
You tried listening to Tara, you truly did, but not even five minutes after Tara had begun talking Sam had entered the kitchen to make a drink.
Suddenly every word Tara uttered it went into one ear and flew right through the other.
Her back faced you as she grabbed the glass from the top cabinet, not even having to go on the tip of her toes to reach it, something the shorter Carpenter would definitely have to do.
You smiled without noticing the longer you gazed at the gorgeous woman as she carried on making her drink.
“Y/n.”
You snapped your head back at Tara who had her eyebrows raised. “Did you listen to anything I said?”
Sam turned to look at the both of you as she leaned against the counter, sipping her drink. Her eyes focused on you as she drank at a slow pace.
You smiled nervously at her to which Sam only scowled back at you.
“Yeah, uhm, work and stuff right?” You waffled with a smile, Tara simply sighed as she shook her head. She went to say something but got interrupted by her older sister.
“Is that my hoodie?” Your head whips back towards Sam’s direction, Sam’s eyes focused on you. You blushed as you noticed Tara and let you borrow McHottie’s Sam's hoodie, not hers.
Your fingers toyed with the bottom of the hoodie nervously, before you could reply with utter gibberish Tara answered over you. “I let her borrow it since she was completely soaked.” She explained with a brief tight smile.
Sam hummed as she dropped the glass onto the counter. “But why give my hoodie to her? Why not yours?”
“Because It was closest to me, Sam. Jesus she isn’t going to do anything so calm down.” Tara defended you in an annoyed tone now, her eyes glaring at Sam as she leaned on her hand. “And tell Chad and Mindy to cut it out with the staring.”
“I can give it back if you’d like?” You gingerly asked. Both of the girl’s heads snapped towards you at your words.
“You don’t have to-” Tara started before Sam interrupted her speedily
“Yes. Give it back.” She demanded, pushing herself off the counter as she advanced towards you. Without hesitation you ripped the hoodie off of you, pulling it over your head quickly as your shirt rolled up with it.
You smiled sweetly at her as you passed her the hoodie with your right hand, your left hand not so subtly pulling down your shirt. Her fingers grazed over your knuckles as she retrieved the jumper from your hand, her eyes ogling at your shirt momentarily.
Her eyes connected with yours again as she pulled the hoodie to her side, she glowered over you as you looked up at her with a nervous smile.
She’s so fucking pretty, oh my fucking-
“Don’t give my stuff out again, Tara.” Sam told her sister as her eyes stayed glued to yours, “Sure, whatever, will you just leave now?” Tara says with annoyance clear in her tone, Sam stared at you for a few more seconds before she fulfilled her sister’s wish by leaving the kitchen silently.
Your eyes followed her leaving until she was out of your sight. Your eyes landed on the glaring twins to which you smiled awkwardly at them before you returned your attention back to Tara.
The shorter girl huffed as she flicked through a few pages of a notebook. “Sorry about her, she’s just really protective over me.” She apologised again.
You smiled dreamily at her as you thought more of the older sister. “You don’t have to apologise, it’s actually kinda sweet.”
Tara gives you a funny look as she snorts a laugh, her fingers finally stopping as she lands on the particular page she was looking for. “You must be delusional if you think Sam is sweet.”
Guess I’m delusional then, you thought with a smile as your eyes gazed over the half full glass Sam had left in the kitchen.

-Save me from Her - chapter 2
Tara Carpenter x fem!reader
Summary: Continues where the last part ended, delicious dinners and some more action. The canon-kind.
a/n: Heyyy. I'm sorry this took so long to write, but I had some family and friends issues I had to take care off, whilst also finally leaving hospital! I'm still not a native-english speaker, so keep keeping that in mind. Hope you enjoy! (This got a bit long, but at least it's out right?)
warnings: amature writing, wounds, blood, canon-typical violance, cursing-swearing, multiple POV's, mixed POV's, mutilation, Sam getting bullied
tell me if I left something out please!
“I’ll have nightmares after this” Mindy said jokingly after you finished the story. “How do you come up with stuff like this?”
“Milk, genetics and a little imagination” you said, shrugging.
“You mean you can do this as well?” she asked, looking at Anika.
“No, I’m not crazy like her…” she huffed and stood up, to go help Tara out. The young brunette has been cutting, brewing, and running up and down in the kitchen for fifteen minutes now and the smells radiating from her position were delicious. It smelt like something familiar, but you couldn’t quite put your finger around it.
You stayed with the Meeks’ and debated what movie you would watch after dinner. Mindy, the horror lover she is, naturally wanted to watch something nightmarish, but her idea was quickly tossed aside, with a loud ‘no’ coming from you, Chad, and the Carpenter’s voice from the kitchen.
Not long later, Tara called out ‘dinner’ and all three of you got up from your seats to gather at the dining table. Anika appeared from the kitchen, holding a basket of croutons. When realisation hit you, your eyes widened. Your sister smiled at your reaction, and settled next to Mindy, putting the basket on the table. Your eyes darted to the kitchen door, anticipation coursing through you. Tara emerged from the kitchen, holding a metal pot in her hands. Your stare made her blush, but you didn’t notice, as your eyes were fixated on the covered saucepan. She gently put it down and then raised the cloth that was concealing her creation.
Onion soup. She made onion soup.
As the others started reaching and pouring their own portions, you just stared at Tara in awe. Her sweaty face, her small smile, and her watchful gaze all reciting in your brain. She was gauging your reaction, waiting for you to say something. Instead, when you opened your mouth to speak nothing came out. You were comically similar to a fish. This food could have only been meant for you, as every one of your friends suffered from your constant whining that you couldn’t make one for yourself in ages.
After a few hellish moments, you remembered how to talk. “You…” is all that came out though.
Tara’s smile widened, and she let out a chuckle. “You were always complaining that you couldn’t even remember the time you last ate onion soup, so I made one” she said and sat down next to you.
You were still frozen, mouth agape at the surprise. “Stop dramatizing and start eating, you oversized tuna” you heard Anika say. Finally, you got a hold of yourself, and poured a portion. Slowly some croutons made their way to your plate too, then you grabbed your spoon and delicately tasted it.
Tara was eyeing your every movement, trying to figure out if you like it, but your face wouldn’t tell a thing. Her heart started pounding as she thought you didn’t, ignoring every other compliment that came from the others. You finally smiled and let out a chuckle, at the taste, like it has been weeks since you last ate anything. You looked at her, to which her heart started pounding even faster, face heating up rapidly. The only thing that kept her conscious was your gleaming smile.
“This is witchcraft” you finally said, letting out one last chuckle. Tara let out a quiet breath, that she didn’t know was holding and her chest swelled with pride.
“So, you like it?” she asked, voice full of hope.
“Like it?” you asked back, voice high. “I love it! This is better than anything I could have cooked and even rivals that of our nan!” you exclaimed and gestured between you and your sister. She laughed and smiled again, reaching for the food herself.
Mindy started gagging and rolled her eyes. “Jesus get a room already” she huffed and smiled at you two. Tara reddened even more, whilst you just looked away, embarrassed.
Light chatter filled the room as the group ate. You weren’t over exaggerating; Tara’s soup was as if it was from a five-star restaurant. You didn’t seem to be able to stop complimenting it, which made butterflies erupt in the young Carpenter’s stomach. She was proud and happy you enjoyed it this much. Time flew by and before you knew it, the clock hit nine. As the other’s put on a movie, you helped Tara clean the table.
“Thank you” you said softly, so that only she could hear your voice. “This soup was fabulous.”
“You are going to make me believe I can actually cook” she laughed. “Stop!”
“The truth always comes to the surface, whether you like it or not” you told her as you reached for the plates. Looks like she had the exact same thing in mind, as your hands collided, sending a pleasurable jolt through your hand. You both retracted it, like if touching live wire. “Sorry, take it.”
“No, no you. If you want to take the dishes out this much, who am I to stop you?” you were positive her smile could melt even stone.
“I insist” you said, smiling back.
She huffed, and reached for the plate, picking it up and the other ones as well. “If the lady insists.”
----------------
You watched her as she left for the kitchen, your gaze lingering on the spot you saw her last for a second before finishing cleaning up. You then joined the others in the living room, listening to the debate going on. Mindy was still keen on watching ‘Nightmare on Elm Street’, whilst Tara tried to sell her idea of ‘Oppenheimer’. You sat down next to Anika, clinging your wine glasses together as you both watched the show unfold. “I bet Mindy's going to cave” you whispered to her. “She had way too much wine to be able to reason properly.”
“Five dollars Tara’s going to propose a new movie as she sees he can’t win” she held out her for you to shake. You shook it without a second thought, as you had so many times before, smirking at her. You have never lost a bet against your sister, not once.
Not five minutes later you took the five dollars from Anika and placed a soft kiss on her cheek, smirking at her. Tara victoriously searched up the film and pressed the play button. She slumped down next to you and breathed out slowly whilst grinning like a madman. “Good thing Quinn or Ethan isn’t here” she whispered to you. “They would have made us watch ‘Signs’ again. I swear to God, one more movie with Mel Gibson in it, and I’ll gauge my eyes out.”
“What’s wrong with Gibby?”
“It's not him I just had enough of him. I can’t get my head around why they both love him so much” she answered.
“Quinn is obsessed” you correct her. “Ethan just likes her, so he tries to look appealing.”
“Ethan likes everybody.”
“My point still stands darling.”
“Touché” she said holding her hands up, then focused back on the film.
As the movie progressed, you made snarky comments here and there, making her laugh or smile. Your heart swelled and enjoyed her reactions way more than the movie itself. Her laugh was like music, her gleam could make even the coldest, frozen hearts beat again. Soon, you couldn’t focus on the movie anymore as all you were watching was her.
She found herself in similar boots, as she tried to ignore your gravitating face and focus on the film. Even though Tara tried her best, she still glanced at you from time to time, only to blush under the stare you were trying to hide. She unconsciously leaned into you, her head finding home in your lap. Her heart was pounding like crazy at your closeness, yet she wouldn’t trade it for anything. Maybe your lips on hers. She thought about how you would taste, how you would feel, while touching her own at the thought without even realizing it. She was deep in thought, when she heard the main door swing open and crash into the wall.
“Who’s the-“ you started, snapping your head in the direction, but were cut off by the newly emerged, older Carpenter.
“Get away from the window Chad!” Sam all but screamed, her eyes full of fear. She didn’t stop and rushed towards the curtains. Chad did as ordered, not daring question it and got behind Sam. The girl used her momentum and kicked the cloth fabric with full force. A crack could be heard, as her boots went through the window like knife through butter. She squealed from the surprise and fell.
Everyone was up on their feet by that point, watching the scene. You blinked once in confusion, then twice, looking around you to see if the others were just as confused as you, and to your relief all of them looked clueless. Though they looked way more worried than you were. Silence filled the room, the movie blaring in the background.
“Sam” Mindy started slowly. “Everything okay?” she asked, in the most worried voice, you have ever heard from her.
The woman on the ground pulled her leg back from the window, examining it. Her trousers were cut open, and there were a few small cuts on her skin. She cursed under her nose, then looked at the group. “Do I look okay?”
“Why did you kick in the window?” Anika blurted out before she could stop herself.
Sam was pretty annoyed. She huffed and got up from the floor leaning against the wall and breathed in deeply, before starting. “I got a prank call. Everything felt real, their voice modulator, the way they spoke… They even knew what you were doing and who was here!”
Tara left your side to hug her sister tightly. Sam couldn’t hide her surprise but hugged her back. “I was so scared for you…” she spoke again, voice low but you knew it wasn’t just meant for Tara, even if she felt the most worry for her sister. “I’m sorry I ruined the movie.”
Now you had a better view of the young woman. She looked dishevelled and frightened. Not frightened but hurt you corrected yourself. Water was dripping out of her wet hair from the never ending rain in the streets. She was gripping to Tara for dear life, as if she almost lost her.
“Guys” Anika said, looking at her phone, which then she quickly showed to the rest of the group. “I can’t believe this…”
The device was playing a video of Sam barging into the building, laughing emojis placed everywhere on the screen. After a few seconds one of the windows of the building broke, a leg flying out of it. The camera shook from the holder's laughter. The video looked like it was going viral, the title being ‘Crazy mass murderer lady kicks in a window’.
“You have got to be fuckin’ joking you said and took the phone away from your sister, shutting the screen off. When you looked back at the Carpenters, Sam was holding her head with both hands, hurt and fury raging in her eyes.
She mumbled something under her nose and left the room Tara quick after her, while the rest of you didn’t quite know what to do. Few moments passed, then Anika and Mindy slumped back down on the couch and Chad paused the movie. After a little consideration you went after the sisters, but stopped before the bathroom’s door, not sure if you would be welcome there. You decided against it and leant on the wall next to it. The noises of quiet conversation came from the restroom as time passed. Sam’s voice seemed calmer and calmer under the never-ending soothing voice of Tara.
After successfully cooling Sam off, Tara took in a deep breath and looked at her sister’s clumsy work on her own leg. “I could have done it way more delicately” she said and stood up.
Sam chuckled and shook her head. “It doesn’t matter how it looks if it works does it?”
“Your leg looks like an oversized mummy’s leg. Next time accept my help please.”
“Okay, mom” Sam said, still chuckling.
“Will you join us? The film is about halfway through.”
“No” her voice was dry, her tiredness showing. “I’m exhausted and tomorrow I’ll need to find someone to fix the damn window. I’m gonna wash up a little, then head of to bed. And tell y/n that I’m okay” she gestured under the door to show Tara your shadow. “She has been standing out the door for god know how long we've been talking.”
“Will do. Good night, Sam” Tara told her and closed the door behind her.
Her eyes immediately found yours, as you leaned away from the wall. She saw your concern in them, your eyebrows shuffled, little crinkles appeared on your forehead. You looked cute this way; concerned, was her first thought.
“Is she alright?” came the question and even though Tara was expecting it, your soft and careful voice still took her off guard.
“I wouldn’t say alright, but she'll survive” the younger Carpenter replied.
“She doesn’t deserve this.”
“She really doesn’t” Tara started. “Sam will head off to bed, so let’s keep the voice of the movie low.”
You nodded and went back to the others with Tara at your side. You didn’t even notice that you put your hand on her lower back. She did though, your closeness having the same effect on her as it always did. She felt her pulse in her palm and her breathing sped up.
You finished the movie in silence, Tara’s head on your shoulder her full body weighing on yours. Her smell, of roses and coconut, filled your nostrils intoxicating your every cell. Your breathing synchronized with hers, chests heaving and slumping together in a calm and peaceful dance.
----------
“This film still hits like a truck” Anika told you.
“That doesn't mean you must act like a truck hit you!” you panted as you tried to push her out the door. Your shoulders were against her back, thrusting her out. “Come on! At least help me a little here please!”
She groaned out and stood on her feet, letting you breathe out. Mindy stretched her arm out for Anika to take, which she did, delicately intertwining their fingers. “We’ll wait for you downstairs!” she said with a smirk on her face, waving hastily.
As you turned around to say your goodbyes to Tara, you saw her already standing in front of you, way closer than what you expected. Her eyes were intently searching you her unwavering gaze making you feel vulnerable. “See you tomorrow then?” you asked with a hopeful voice.
“See you tomorrow y/n” she said. Her lips looked so red, so full, so soft. They captured your eyes and didn’t let go. She leaned forward and pressed a gentle kiss to your cheek. Before you could think of anything, she pushed you out and shut the door, not letting herself do anything more.
She has known you since Anika and Mindy got together almost three months ago. Before that, she had noticed you in classes, but didn't pay much attention. You always made jokes, references or snarky comments that made many laugh including her, yet she didn't draw close to you. Whenever an opportunity rose to get closer to you, you either evaded it, or got silent, which made her think you weren't fond of her.
When Anika joined the friend group, she dragged you with herself, and Tara couldn't be more grateful for her. You quickly loosened up around her and as it turned out, you were a very nice and kind person. Whenever she needed someone to talk to, you were there for her, whenever she had a panic-attack you soothed her and calmed her down. Where others treated her like porcelain, as if she could crack any time, you treated her like a normal person. You knew her better than anyone else and this quickly became very clear to her. Somewhere along the line, she realized she had fallen for you and this scared her.
Her fear of losing you were greater than anything. This is why she didn’t confess her feelings for you. What if you didn’t reciprocate them and so she would ruin everything? No. She just couldn’t risk that. You were her only cornerstone, her anchor, her lifebelt. She wasn't sure how she would live without you guiding her.
But what if you did like her back?
You were still stunned on the other side of the closed door. After your brain processed what happened, a wide smile took place on your face. You couldn’t wash it off even when you reached your sister, the Meeks' already half a street ahead of you. Anika noticed your mood immediately, her smirk from earlier reappearing and growing. “What’s gotten you so pumped up?”
“What are you talking about? I am always this pumped!” you say with too much enthusiasm.
“Riiiiight, and I'm the pope. Out with it!"
"Nothing! It was nothing."
Anika rolled her eyes and pushed it further. "What was nothing?"
"Well, Tara kissed me-"
"No way!" she interrupted and punched your right shoulder.
"-on the cheek." you finally finished. "She kissed me on the cheek" you said again, believing yourself finally this time. Your shoulder hurt like hell from her punch, since she managed to hit one of your bruises. "What the hell was that for?!"
"Sorry, I'm just thrilled!" she all but screamed, her excitement gleaming out of her. "How was it? What happened? What did you-"
"I'll stop you right here, because if you keep going, I won't remember half your questions" you cut in, placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.
"I'm listening."
As you started your walk home, you told her about it. Just as you said before, it wasn't anything big, but you couldn't help but feel that it was something special. After you finished, she teased you like never before, about anything and everything but it didn't even register in your blissful brain. After a while of walking, the rain washed this state out of you, and your sister's giddiness spread to you too. You were laughing as you entered the building of your apartment. When you closed the elevator's door and pressed the sixth floor, you were swallowed by your thoughts though.
Tara was perfect. From her smooth black hair and deep brown eyes to her last toe, you found her stunning and captivating. From the first moment you saw her across the hallway she had made your heart find a new rhythm to beat to. You were surprised when Anika told you about her past, why she didn't trust anyone and about what exactly happened in Woodsboro. Gale Weathers' book helped in understanding her, as you dug yourself into the subject.
In classes, she was smart, sharp minded and active. In projects, she didn't take the leading role, yet her views and suggestions were always great and helpful. When you were assigned together on something, your nervousness got the better of you, afraid that you would scare her away with your personality. So you did what you did best for half high school and all primary school; staying silent and invisible. This all changed when Anika forced you to go with her to Mindy's place so that you would meet her and her friends. You found the courage to talk to her and after a while, you let yourself show. Fortunately, she didn't shy away.
This is when you realised, how deeply scarred she was, even the slightest sudden movement making her freeze or horrifying her. You made it your mission to spend time with her and help her in her struggle. She became a constant part in your imaginary timetable stuffed between your drum practises and taekwondo sessions. Your feelings only grew for her every time she fell apart as you adored her for how great she was doing after what she has been through. You could never imagine, that someone as perfect as she was could like you, so you kept your feelings to yourself. Yet that small kiss made you feel otherwise.
"Penny for your thoughts?" you heard your sister ask.
"Just… Tara" you admitted.
"Last time I saw you down bad like this was before…" she didn't finish, and just gulped down the sentence as she saw your eyes flinch. "Anyway, I remember you coming in my room and sit on my bed to talk my ears of about a girl you met in high school" she chuckled lightly at the memory.
"Yeah, I remember too."
"It was 3 am, and you just wouldn't stop endorsing her eyebrows" she laughed.
"Hey! Her eyebrows were pretty!" you defended as you pouted and threw your hands in the air for good measure.
Her burst filled the small elevator as she held her arm to clear the forming tears of joy in her eyes. "If you say so" she managed to say. "What was her name again?"
"Olivia." You crossed your hands looking at her. "How can you not remember your classmate?"
"She left the school in half a year! You can't expect me to remember her."
You smiled at her. "She's coming over tomorrow."
"Who, Olivia?" she asked with a doubtful voice.
"Not her. Tara" you said sheepishly.
Anika blinked once, then twice. She then opened her mouth, but not a sound left it. Her eyes were wide and happy. "You look like Remy when he finds out he's going to get fed" you told her, which made her compose herself.
"She… You I mean… Is it a date?"
"We… didn't define it."
"But is it? You asked her in hopes of one no?"
"I'm not going to ask her on a date!"
"Why not?!" she asked, annoyance clear in her voice. "She is just as heads over heals for you as you are for her!" You blinked at her statement in sync with the elevators loud beep, signing that you have arrived. "Oh my god you really don't see it. You are so useless" she muttered, raising a hand to her face as she left the elevator. You thought about what she said and how Tara acted around you for a moment, then followed her.
"Even if she is, which she is not, I am not going to initiate!" your voice a little less certain than before.
She took out her keys a little too forcefully, selecting the right one. "Oh, please put your pride aside just this once! You guys are killing me!"
"Everything is killing you! In mornings, it’s the uncomfortable pillow, in the afternoon it's the lack of sleep because the uncomfortable pillow."
"You chose the wrong pillow and you know it" her voice was plane and accusative. "But seriously, if you two don't get together in rapid time I am going to be so intolerable you wish you had a pack of hyenas as flatmates." The door opened and she entered. Remy was at the door, ready to greet you and as you entered as well, he rubbed against your leg, making it impossible to get further inside the apartment. You leant down and rubbed his throat gently telling him a small 'Hey there King', then took your shoes of. His light purring filled the dark room. "Would you switch the lights on please?" she asked of you.
You kicked your shoes off, being careful not to hit the cat, and started searching for the switch at the location it should have been. After you found it you switched it, but nothing happened, so you did it again and again. "That isn't gonna work, dingus" she said, with an unimpressed look on her face that you could make out even in the dark.
"Oh really?" you asked and started switching it faster, whilst looking at her challengingly. It, didn't work. She groaned out and shut the door.
"You are insufferable" she headed inwards with her head thrown back. You followed after her, leaving the switch in a lit up state, for when the power comes back up it would light up. "What will you two do tomorrow?"
"I've invited her so that she may try my onion pie, but beside that I think we'll watch something and that’s it."
"If you are afraid to express your feelings, you could maybe do it subtly? I know it's not one of your strong suites but if you really don't believe that she likes you this is the only way!"
"I am not going to accept relationship advice from someone that wanted to date Frankie" you said his name with so much disgust, that it even surprised you. You headed towards the kitchen to feed Remy, switching the light on. To your surprise, the lamp lit up the room in bright yellow light. Great, now you have to change the lightbulb at the entrance.
"I was in a rough spot!"
"He threw up in my lap! In front of you! If that wasn't enough there were so many red flags around him, I am actually impressed he can see other colours."
You didn't hear her reply from the other room as you opened a new can of cat food. Remy was waiting on the counter, watching intently at his usual spot. You spooned the minced meat into his bowl and put it before him then watched him for a while as he eagerly began eating it.
When you got back to the living room, Anika was already half asleep on the couch, head slumped on her stretched out arm. You smiled, and went over to her. "Sleepyhead, do you wanna sleep here or in your own bed?"
She mumbled something inaudible as a response. You sighed, and got up from the couch leaving her there. You were very tired, so you made your way to your bed. Your mind was orbiting around Tara, and how tomorrow would go. You drifted off to sleep with her at the front of your brain.
--------
The next day you got up early, full of energy. You laughed at Anika when you saw her still half asleep on the couch. When she got up she was grumpy and messy, her hair dangling in every direction except where it should have. She excused herself for a bath with a raspy voice and left you in the kitchen with Remy. You petted him whilst drinking your coffee and making a small mental list of what you needed to do today before Tara arrives.
The day flew by faster than you remember it going, yet you didn't mind it one bit. You changed the lightbulb at the main entrance, went to a shop to buy the ingredients for the pie and tidied the house up. Tara messaged you about when she should drop in, and what started as a minute-long text exchange max, ended in a half hour long talk on the phone. Her voice was alluring even through the microphone, so you didn't mind at all. When you hang up, you cooked a small lunch for yourself, since Anika has already left the house for a date with Mindy and continued your work. You called your nan and went over the recipe way more times than it was actually needed. She laughed at your enthusiasm, yet didn't question what it was for. She knew it without you needing to say anything about it.
Just as quickly as the sun came in the morning, it went away and Tara found herself before your apartments building, trying to find the courage to enter. She was early and she didn't want to intrude on you just because she couldn't wait anymore doing nothing at home. She then sighed, and forced herself to enter.
She followed your recommendation and used the lift, even though it wasn't in the best shape. It was small and slow, but it did the trick. As the cabin climbed level after level heroically, her heartbeat got faster and faster, filling her ears. Only the sharp beep snapped her out of her trance. She left the elevator, and searched for your door. When she found it, she reached to knock, but stopped herself again. She just stood there, her hand raised halfway to the door.
A loud bang came from the staircase, so she went to investigate.
"Jesus, I am never choosing the stairs again. Fuck…" you mumbled to yourself as you tried to get up to your feet. One of the stone slabs was displaced and you managed to fall when you kicked your feet in its outstanding corner.
"Y/n?"
You snapped your head to the sounds source, seeing Tara above. You tried compose yourself quickly and look sly, as if you didn't just get off the ground after falling on your nose. "Tara! Hey! How are you… What are you…" She chuckled, which made you smile too.
"I came up with the elevator."
"That makes sense. I was just down at Mrs. Kim to ask for some parsley. She grows it in her window, and it's better than anything that can be bought!" you said, holding up a small amount of freshly cut parsley.
"Are you okay?"
"Other than my pride, nothing got hurt, so I would say I'm devastated" you said as you climbed the rest of the stairs. When you reached her, she hugged you gently as to not press into last night's bruises, or any new ones that you got from the cold floor. A pleasant feeling washed over her as she breathed you in. You didn't dare brake the hug, so she needed to after a while. You smiled at her again, and took out your keys to open the door of your apartment.
She followed after you inside and started peeling of her shoes whilst you were fiddling with the lights switch. White light filled the room in a few moments, and Tara heard your soft sigh of relief. "Can you close the door please?" her voice was soft, almost pleading. It broke your heart.
After you closed it, you started leading her inside. "Welcome to my humble home Miss Carpenter! In here we have a few rules of our own, so please follow them!"
"You? Rules? Really?" she asked in disbelief, a slight smirk forming on her face.
"I take laws and rules very seriously dear, I don't know why you would think otherwise" you told her, mimicking her smile. "Rule number one; if you feel that the host isn't being a good host, you tell them that with utmost cruelty. Rule number two; if you are hungry, nag the host until she caves and gives you something to eat."
"What kind of rules are these?" she laughed.
You shrugged, looking confused. "Remy made them. Any criticism can be guided towards him from nine till ten."
"The cat?"
"Indeed he did. Complaints?"
"No, none here. I'm starving" she said and smiled.
"Good. I will put the pie in the oven and while it bakes, we eat dinner."
"What's for dinner? This smell is delicious!" to prove her point she breathed in deeply.
"Secret" you told her with a mischievous smile on your face.
She sighed and went inside. The place screamed of your presence, everything placed loosely without a real spot, yet connected in a working system of chaos. The furniture's colours complimented each other, a few plants placed near the windows here and there. The brown, leather couch faced the television on a small desk near the one of the windows. An orange-ginger cat laid out on the couch, eyeing her, his green eyes flashing in the dark room.
"That's Remy. He doesn't really like strangers, so don't expect much… Aaand he allowed you to pet him." You rolled your eyes and smiled at them. Tara was beside him, gently caressing his back, whilst he was looking at you with narrowed eyes. You stack your tongue at him and went to the kitchen to put the parsley on the pie and put it in the oven. The you took the food to the table. She followed you there and sat in front of you as you made the table. You then raised the pan's top revealing the still sizzling paella underneath. Her eyes widened as she looked up at you.
"How did you-" she started but you cut in.
"Mindy snitched on you. I hope you like it."
She let you take out a portion for her, and greedily tasted it. Somehow it tasted more than any other version she has ever tried. She moaned out, letting you know it was heavenly, and with a still full mouth asked. "What's in this?"
"Well, only what all other paellas. Oh, and a splash of love. I forgot about that part" you said smiling.
Her laugh filled the room, and filled your ears. "Well, that splash of love really is something because I've never tasted anything this good!"
"No need to over exaggerate" you said even when you felt your chest swell with pride.
"I'm not!" she raised her voice. "Have you tried this?!"
"Well, a few times whilst making it, but not the complete product" you admitted.
"Here, taste it!" she said and raised the spoon to your face. You raised an eyebrow, but tasted your food. It really was great, and you had a similar reaction to Tara's. She laughed and pulled her spoon back.
"I don't want to sound smug, but this is a damn good paella" you smiled.
"You don't. I love it."
When you finished eating, you took the cleared the table, and brought in new plates for the pie. "I'm sorry but I am full" she said, looking apologetically at you. "Maybe after a movie I can try it?"
"Thought so. You more than what I saw you eat in the last two days" you joked.
"Not my fault it was better than what gods eat!"
"Stop it!" you laughed and hit her shoulder gently. She laughed with you. You held your hand out to her to help her up, which she carefully took. You then lead her back to the living room, where she turned to face you.
"What do you want to watch?"
You, you thought and didn't realize you said it out loud.
"Me?" she asked laughing against you, leaning just a little closer. "Why is that?"
"Wha-" you started, but as you comprehended what happened, you stopped. "I… Because… Because you are beautiful Tara" you said, and swallowed. You just realized how close she was, her breathing hitting your nose, her arms around you, yours around her. She was staring into your eyes, her heartbeat faster than ever. Her eyes snapped to your lips, then back. Yours did the same. She was leaning closer, and closer, until her lips reached yours. As she pressed them together she felt how soft they were, how warm and oh so much better than what she imagined. Her eyes shut close letting the feeling encompass her whole body, mind in a blissful state as she deepened the kiss hungrily, pulling you impossibly closer. You felt in heaven, her lips being better than any drug. They tasted like sweet strawberries, you could feel yourself become addicted to the sensation.
You separated for air and pressed your foreheads together. She put her hands on your scalp, gently keeping you close so that if you wanted to, you could break the contact. You tucked a lock of hair behind her ear, and held your hand on her cheek. She chuckled against you and looked up in your eyes. "So you think I'm beautiful?"
"I do. I did from the very start. You are gorgeous" your voice was pure and filled with softness and love. "If I knew what would happen when I call you that I would have done it years ago."
"You didn't even know me back then."
"Well, kissing a random beautiful girl would have still been a great accomplishment."
"Then shut up and do it again" she said, leaning up.
You obliged happily, pressing yourself against her as you guided her to the couch. She span you around and pushed you at the couch, making you fall on it with your back. Then she climbed after you and kissed you eagerly, pressing your body into the pillows. You lost yourself in her, keeping your hands on her hips pulling her closer. Heaven and hell be damned, she was your religion, and praying at her altar felt better than anything in this whole world.
Then her phone rang. Of course something needed to ruin the moment. You groaned out and tried to get up, but she pressed you back, not letting you leave. In moments you forgot about the phone, Tara filling your every sense, but then it rang again. When you didn't answer it there was a small silence until your phone rang too. The Carpenter huffed out and pushed herself off you, letting you grab your phone. It was from an unknown number. You rolled your eyes and picked up.
"Hi, no I don't want to change to a better subscription and no, I don't care what the package contains because as I said before, I am not interested."
"What about a package that lets you keep your lives, Y/N?" a voice asked, that you were far too familiar with. The Stab movies were one of your favourite horror movies, but since you befriended Tara and the others, you felt like it was inappropriate to watch any of them ever again. Your racing heart skipped a few beats as the blood in your arms froze. You blinked towards Tara, trying to keep calm as to avoid her having a panic attack. The last one she had was far too dangerous to happen again.
You stood up and glanced around the room, trying to find any hiding place, but it was dark. Why was it dark? The lights should be on; you didn't shut anything off! "Now you are dying to hang on the line don't you? I'll be honest with you, first I called Tara to play a little game with her for your life, but now? It sounds way more fun to do the exact opposite…"
"You want to play a game to save your own life? That's fucked up man."
You heard light chuckling coming from the other line. You looked at Tara, whose expression said it all. She knew exactly who you were speaking to, her face horrified and fearful. She started looking around the room too. "Have you not seen this movie? I know for a fact you did. Poor little Tara doesn't even know that her love is just as fucked up in the head as her other love, that also tried to kill her…"
"Having a favourite film in a specific genre is way different than trying to cut someone open because of it."
"Is it though?" he was laughing again. "Well, if you are so smart, why don't you play a little game with me."
"When I find you, you are as good as dead freak."
"Freddy, Michael, Jason Voorhees. Learn from those who came before me! You can't kill the boogeyman."
"Billy, Mickey, Roman, Jill and I could go on. They are all dead. You really want to find out when your movie ends?" as you kept him talking, you signalled Tara to start moving towards the exit.
"I don't really care until I did what I wanted. Make her suffer. Either way, you won't be there to witness it" when he finished his sentence, the previously locked main door flew open and there was Ghostface standing, dramatically hanging up the phone and waving at you with his knife.
You pulled Tara behind and grabbed her hand as you darted towards your room. You heard the intruder running after you, but didn't look back until you were both inside and shut the door on his face. Tara quickly pulled the lock, waiting for a force on the other side to force it open, but it never came. Instead, you saw the white steel of his knife enter at the edge of the door.
"Fire escape" you ushered Tara. "Now!"
You didn't need to tell her twice. She was at your window in a second as she pried it open as you heard the same thing happening to your door. Tara's eyes widened, and climbed out the window with haste, screaming for you to do the same. You ran towards the window and jumped out. Your chest hit the railing hard but you recovered in seconds. You glanced back just in time to see him swinging the deadly weapon. You tried to duck away, but he changed the direction in the last second. You screamed out in pain as you felt it cut in your neck. With an adrenaline rush you knocked him over with the full weight of your body and span around to go down the metal stairs.
You heard his heavy boots run after you. He was about two levels behind as all three of you were running down. The six floors were way longer than what you remembered. It looked like they just wouldn't stop coming. You heart was beating in your throat, your neck pulsing and stinging. Neither of you looked back up, but you both knew he was getting closer. Then the stairs finally ended.
You both burst out in the sprint of your lives. Tara was ahead of you, but with your hand you guided her. She glanced back, and slowly stopped in her tracks. You looked back too, halting next to her. People in the street were looking at you confused and scared at the sight of your wound but you couldn't care less about them.
The fire escape's street was a dead end on one side, and you were standing on the other. There were no objects he could have hid behind no windows he could have climbed through. The only thing in the alley was a beggar, at the end of it, slumping his head down on his knees. You slowly approached him, looking around for every little dark spot you could find, but He was nowhere to be found.
When you reached the man, you gasped. His shirt was bloodied, his hands effortlessly laying by his sides. He was familiar, but you didn't know from where. His gray hair was covering his face, the end of it soaked in his own blood. A knife stood out from his chest, pinning a small note to him. You swiped the hair out of his face and you immediately recognized him. He was the drunk man, who insulted Tara last night.
You felt nauseated but your curiosity got the better of you as you flipped the note in a way you could read it. The blood froze in your veins, your head started spinning and you felt breathless. You snapped when you felt a hand on your shoulder, but quickly calmed down when you saw Tara. Yet the note was all you head on your mind right now, repeating the six words written on it; "I remember what you did, Lolly."

Hi could I request Dom Mindy x sub fem reader smut please?
Your Guilty Pleasure
Pairing- Mindy Meeks x f!reader
Summary- both you and Mindy want each other but it does help your Chad's girlfriend
Warnings- Cheating, coercion, fxf, cheating on bbg chad should be a warning as well, fingering
Mindy watched from across the room as Chads hand slid between your thighs rubbing them, she wished it was her lap you were on, her hands touching you, how she envied her brother. Mindy loves her brother she really does but her desire for you was more, the desire to taste your pussy, to make you cum, to make you hers. Her eyes moved from your bottom half and up to your top it was thin she could see the outline of your perky tits. She looked away knowing what she was doing was wrong but how she wanted to look back, how she wanted to shove you into a room and ruin you.
She looks back at you this time your eyes were on her which quickly went back to Chad when you saw her looking at you, she smiles as she sees your cheeks darken a little bit, could you feel the same way about her that she does you, no you couldn’t, your with her brother, but that look you had even though she only saw it for a split second it told her more than enough. She couldn’t do it anymore; she had to have you.
“Her Chad, can you go to the smoke shop and get me some rolling papers? They don’t ID you.” Mindy asks and her brother sighs as he gives you a kiss on the cheek before getting up after the small shut of the door the room was questioned again. Wanting to make both of you more comfortable in the silence you sit down on the couch next to her where she was watching the silence of the lambs. She gave you a small smile before turning back to the tv.
You tried to focus on the movie but it was hard, hard because Mindy was sitting next to you in a graphic tshirt with some movie you've never seen on it and some striped pants which you wish you could see under the guilt eats at you as you look away from her your dating her brother but want to fuck her.
You were now sitting thigh to thigh and you feel her hand sitting on your warm skin making your breath hitch and she moves her hand that one touch you would savor forever. “Sorry I just didn’t have anywhere else to put my hand.” She says and you force a smile on your flustered face, “It's okay, I don’t mind.” you reply and she smiles back at you resting her hand on your thighs.
Mindy doesn't always pay attention to what she does with her hands when she gets into a movie so as she focused on the movie her fingertips traced the skin of your thigh going up ever so slightly when she moved in her seat. Your mind flew from the movie immediately after she put her hand on your thigh, and while you watched her slender fingers mindlessly play on your thigh your mind went into really, really dangerous territory.
Your teeth sucked your bottom lip in as you could basically envision your boyfriend's sister fingering you. When you looked up from her hand and to her, her beautiful brown eyes were on you sucking you in. “Y/N.” she says breathlessly, her hand trailing farther up your thigh. “Mindy.” You say as the ache began to drip down to your needy cunt.
''I won't tell.'' She says her hand going up even farther and you prayed she would go faster, and that Chad doesn't bust through that door. ''And you won't either.'' Her voice was barely above a whisper and her hand was now at the waistband of your shorts she reached up so she could whisper in your ear, “You know I can do it better than he can.” She asks as her breath came in sync with yours.
You shake your head yes as you open your dry mouth to speak, “Please.” you said and her hand dove under your shorts amd silk panties and into your soaked folds.
Shuttering at the feeling of your pussy of her hand she moves her pointer and middle fingers on your clit rubbing them against the bundle of nerves in just the right pace and motion.
“oh god..” you whisper your legs spreading even wider and your eyes screw shut but you pry them open again looking at the girl as she slips one finger inside of you stretching your incredibly tight hole and her thumb finds its way teasing your clit, “oh mindy.” You moan as she curls her fingers inside of you hitting the sweetest spot inside your gummy walls. Your back arched off the couch as she does this multiple times. She rubs your clit franticly as she slams her fingers in and out of you.
Your hand fisted her shirt as you felt the bolts of your climax reach throughout your body. Your orgam only intensified as she continued fucking you through your high. After she stopped her voice rang through your ears and you look at her and give her a fucked out smile, “We have to do that again.” you say and she laughs giving you a forehead kiss as she giggles, “Definitely.”
And then the door opens signaling Chad got back with the rolling papers.

Ever-ever think about how Mindy got stabbed in almost the exact same way as anika, cry.
And they just can't ever look at the scar w/o thinking about her, w/o seeing how she looked when she died, hearing her screams, being reminded that she couldn't save her

CHAD MEEKS—MARTIN / summer prompts 🍋

A/N: a lot more people voted for him on my poll this time around and…I’m finally getting around to doing it lol. My list is kinda lengthy for this summer so bear with me. Nothing too fancy or long but Chad’s got some heart eyes for a certain someone. Also doesn’t it bother anyone that they didn’t make “Meeks” the last name since it just flows better? Chad Martin-Meeks is way better but who tf am I? Im also picturing Morgana Van Peebles’ character from the film “You’re killing me” as Mindy’s new love interest + Andrew Spach as Alex — s/o to lifetime 😆
*GIF BELONGS TO: @scream-source
PROMPTS used from this list: 1. Violent mosquito killing claps + 2. “wanna walk on the boardwalk?”
WARNINGS: language, a derogatory term is mentioned, lots of insect talk and I think that’s it!
┊͙: ̗̀➛ - ̥˚ ̥۪͙۪◌ ┊͙: ̗̀➛ - ̥˚ ̥۪͙۪◌ ┊͙: ̗̀➛ - ̥˚ ̥۪͙۪◌ ┊͙: ̗̀➛ - ̥˚ ̥۪͙۪◌ ┊͙
Maya Evans wasn’t much of a lake person but…she was basically bullied to be here! She had Mindy Meeks-Martin to thank for that, being out here at her and Chad’s grandparent’s lake house up in the outskirts of New York was not originally how she was going to tend to the beginning of her summer.
Mindy remembers asking, “What’re you gonna do the entire summer? Shield that pretty face away from humanity inside this apartment?”
“Kinda,” Maya blinks at the short haired twenty year old.
Mindy scoffs, “I don’t think so! you’re coming with us. You need vitamin D and hopefully I’ll get you the other D from one of our not so bad looking neighbors, who mentioned he would also be there.”
Maya groans at the alluding to the overall cringe-ness of her sex life. If they were going to be on vacation, she wasn’t worried about getting laid when she did quite well if she did say so herself.
“I don’t care about any of that. I’m not going.”
“Yes you are.”
“Nooo, I’m not.”
“Yes!”
“No, Melinda!”
A glare was instantly formed on Mindy’s face since Maya loved to challenge her, even when they were children, they could bicker for hours (especially when Mindy had one of her bright adventurous ideas) until one of the two would crack. Most of the time Maya had lack of energy to keep up with Mindy but that didn’t mean she couldn’t hold her own for awhile.
Yet she still ended up here, laying out on the docks, arms up and shielding the sun from completely burning that face of hers, while she allowed the rest of the sun to add to the redness undertone of her melanin. Maya knew she could fall asleep out here, hearing the light splashing from Tara as she sneakily tried to tip Sam over from the floaty.
The birds were chirping away and she could hear the motor of a boat not too far away in the distance of the lake. It was soothing enough, don’t get Maya wrong but she preferred to be somewhere underneath the AC but Mindy and her new fling, Kendra ruined that in one of the bedrooms.
So she was out here, ignoring Chad who also managed to get out of the house minutes before Maya witnessed the horrors of his twin’s actions, long limbs stretched out on the trampoline that his legs where hanging off the circular springboard, phone lightly held up to his sunglasses covered eyes.
“Hey Bigfoot, need some sunscreen for those legs!?” Maya called out to Chad on her why by, his head lolling to watch her.
Chad responds, “Haha, I forgot how unfunny you are.”
“What?” Maya holds her arms out as she walks backwards to the water, “I’d sell out comedy shows.”
Chad is sitting up on his elbows now, “More like you’ll need a hazmat suit for the tomatoes heading straight your way, babe.”
“Don’t call me babe.”
“Okay,” Chad smirks, “whatever you want, honey.”
With a roll of her eyes, Maya flicks her own sunglasses back over her brown hues and spins around to continue back in her path. It had been about forty-five minutes since Maya decided to give Mindy and Kendra their space by dipping her feet into the water, actually taking a swim with Tara and Sam—although she hated big bodies of water, she’ll be a dead bitch swimming if she didn’t insist on Chad teaching her how to better swim, weeks before they came out here, unknowing that she would be forced to attend.
Of course that didn’t really matter since there was a tragedy that surrounded Maya’s slight fear of water. Long story short: she watched her dad drown at the beach when she was like nine, right after he was testing her swimming abilities after he taught her in a community pool back home. She got out of the island water once it started to drizzle and sat down next to her mom to have some sandwiches until a typhoon hit, killing him and seven others that were still in the water.
Which is why she probably spent maybe only five minutes in the water with Tara and Sam before she got back on the dock to soak up the sun, like her dear friend Mindy wanted.
A clapping sound echoed through the air, waking Maya from her approaching slumber. She tucked her chin to see Tara rubbing at her neck with all eyes on her.
“You okay, girl?” Maya asks the doe eyed twenty-one year old.
Tara nods, “yeah, just a stupid bug.”
Maya nods before resting back on her towel, staring up at the sky with purple clouds, which was a nice contrast of the rising summer to what you’re typically used to seeing. This also meant the evening would be around in a few hours or so.
“Ow! Fuck this.”
Maya hears, she pulls her head back, eyeing Chad upside down, who is scrambling off the trampoline, shoving his feet into his sandals before beginning to trudge up the incline towards the home.
A laugh bubbles in her throat just as she hears the same from the girls in the water.
Sam comments with her own head thrown back, hair tossed up into a bun, floating around with her arms out wide, “Weak pain tolerance.”
Which wasn’t necessarily true considering how much they’ve been tossed around and stabbed! But it was always a little fun to pick at each other from time to time, that’s what friends do.
Come on people, it’s satire!
“Oh is that what you’re into?”
“Shut up, Tara.”
A buzzing sound is dangerously close to Maya’s ear that she flinches once she actually feels the insect touch her skin. She swatting at her ear in annoyance and just hopes it didn’t make its way down into her eardrum and decide to lay eggs on her brain or anything like that. Bugs didn’t bother her too much, she was one of those kids that had a ant farm and happily wrote that she wanted to be a Entomologist when she got older—despite the kids that gave her shit for it.
She wasn’t a fan of people who had a lot to say about her character without spending the time to get to know her. Maya wasn’t much of a shit-talker, only to Chad of course! But most of time she liked to keep to herself and not pay anyone any mind. It wasn’t until a nine year old Mindy walked straight up to her in fifth grade to sit right beside her, forcing her twin brother Chad to sit on the other side of Maya since the spot next to Mindy was already filled.
The Meeks-Martin twins made the fifth grade survivable and Maya was always grateful for their friendship. Even when Chad started acting like a butt-hole once he made the team sophomore year. Then he started dating Liv—you know what? You probably don’t want to hear all that, just know that no matter what, if the earth suddenly collapsed and the apocalypse was officially here and if ghostface decided to appear from the shadows again, nothing would really keep Maya from being friends with Mindy or Chad.
They were locked in, just like a insect on your ass. That was probably the worse analogy so maybe white on rice was better? Unless you burn your rice! You get it though, neither of the trio planned on ending their friendships in the long run. They planned to get old together with all the fight they have instilled in them.
Back to the point…what was the point?
Oh yeah, this.
A clap to Maya’s skin, had her sitting up now. Her knee cap is stinging and it must have been loud enough since the chatter between the two siblings in the water has them eyeing her now.
“You good over there?” Sam asks but that burning sensation on Maya’s skin was not pleasant.
Could it be that she just just slapped herself too hard? She thought the latter as a ring of a welt immediately began to form on her skin. Was this some sort of allergic reaction? Not likely but a smidge possible since her mother became a worry wart after Maya’s father passed so they knew most of what she was allergic to. Mrs. Evans eventually was diagnosed with hypochondriasis after being forced to seek help from her nurse maternal grandmother, who ended up taking Maya underneath her wing for a few months in her late elementary years then again from the sixth to seventh grade.
You know, good ‘ol tragedy always has something to say and of course Maya hated that.
Maya seemed to zone out for a bit, making Sam sit up in the floaty, sending a look to Tara who was already swimming her way over to the braided girl.
“Maya.” Tara gently said, reaching a careful hand out to her.
The welt was formed into a circle, almost like a stab wound she was used to seeing not only on herself but also her friends. It was the clapping that brought Maya out of her daze, blinking rapidly as she felt her eyelashes become moist.
The sound came from Sam who scrunched up her face and flicked her hands about, “Got that bastard! Ugh don’t tell me the bugs are gonna be bad out here.”
They’ve only been out here for a full day now, the group getting here late last night and scurried off to their rooms for a good nights rest. The afternoon settled on them all quite quickly and they’ve all been fine not seeing the bugs…until now.
Tara asks after turning her gaze away from Sam, “Hey, are you okay? We sorta lost you for a second there.”
“I’m fine.” Maya mutters, glancing at the mark once more but it doesn’t seem like she believes that herself.
Tara doesn’t but dips her head while she scoops her damp bangs further away from her forehead. Her eyes briefly follow Maya’s rising anxiety filled eyes towards her knee and Tara doesn’t realize she’s getting closer to peer at the mark as well.
“Shit, that looks like it hurts.” Slips out of her mouth before she registers it.
Maya blinks, looking back at Tara who meets her stare, “so you see it too?”
“Yeah I see it, it’s hard not to miss. Are you sure you’re okay? And no bullshit, be honest with me.” Tara’s tone is firm but cautious, knowing how it felt to be constantly questioned when you’re not a hundred percent sure what was happening in the first place.
Maya also slips, “like you being honest about you and Chad?”
“What?” Tara frowns.
Maya chews down on her bottom lip, “It’s nothing. I don’t know why I said that.”
“Yeah right,” Tara scoffs, “maybe it’s the sun getting to your head.”
“Or maybe it’s these fucking mosquitoes!” Maya finds herself erupting a bit as she scratches at the back of her neck now.
Tara watches Maya curiously as the twenty-one year old starts to look around. She doesn’t say anything yet as Maya snatches her shorts to the right of her and pushes up to stand.
“Maya—
Tara starts but Maya is grabbing her towel and holds up a hand, “I’m gonna head in,” she stares out into the scenery of the water and trees, “and maybe you and Sam should too.”
And Tara watches Maya almost jog off the dock and away from what was troubling her.
“Sam,” Tara calls out as she watches Maya disappear into the house, ready to tell her sister that something was up.
Back inside the much cooler home, Maya still can’t find the relief in that as she rummages through the fridge, mumbling to herself until she yells, “where’s the fucking ice in this house?!”
“Whoa, hey. What’s going on?”
Maya doesn’t answer Chad as she’s now scratching at her thigh and slams the fridge shut.
“I thought you said this fridge had a awesome ice maker inside of it, how awesome is it if there’s no ice?!” Maya mocks and yells at Chad who carefully places his phone on the counter.
Mindy strolls into the kitchen all grins and full of after glow as she says, “What’s up, pretty people? Not you Chad.”
“Nice, Mindy. Real nice.” Chad is sarcastic before they turn their attention back to Maya who is now holding her forehead.
Mindy shushes the taller male as she asks, “what’s the matter?”
“There’s no fucking ice!”
“Whoa! That tone was a lot,” Mindy informs Maya who begins pacing now, “there’s some in cooler on the floor next to the counter on the left there. I forgot to turn on the ice maker this morning so we have to wait a few more hours before the ice really starts to kick in.”
However Maya doesn’t even go to the mentioned cooler with wheels, she’s still pacing and rubbing at her hive covered thighs.
Mindy side eyes Chad, “what happened while Kendra and I were inside?”
“I didn’t do anything!” Chad lifts his shoulders, “I swear.”
Kendra huffs before she bites into a pear she plucks off the bowl on the counter, “Well something happened because she’s acting very r-word right now.”
Mindy and Chad both hardened their stares at Mindy’s new lover.
Mindy is quick to move herself from the brown skinned girl with Mother Nature braids, “The fuck did you just say?”
“Yeah hell no, you might as well pack your bags. If you thought you were welcomed before, you’re definitely not now.” Chad stands up straight as Kendra looks puzzled at their reactions.
“What did I say?”
“You know exactly what you said,” Chad glares, “and the way you felt so comfortable to just say that, shows you’re problematic.”
“Absolutely disgusting. I can’t believe I let you eat—
Chad gags, “Don’t finish that sentence.”
“Whatever, clearly you guys aren’t my kind of people and take things too seriously.” Kendra replies as she peeks over at Maya, “Good luck with that over there.”
Mindy starts charging at the shorter girl who is walking away but Chad yanks Mindy back by her shirt telling her, “she’s not worth it and I been told you she’s not the one.”
She yanks herself away from Chad and sighs, “I know and she’s long forgotten and won’t be mentioned ever again, got it?”
“Deal.”
They both shake on that before they turn back to Maya who seems to be zoning out again. Chad rests his hands on the counter and gently says, “Maya babe, tell us what’s wrong so we can help.”
“Didn’t I say to not call me that, Prince Chad?” Maya also bites, knowing that nickname actually irritated her friend just as much as “babe” irritated Maya.
A twitch of smile threatens to appear on Chad’s lips but he holds back because of the jab she also just threw at him.
“Well how else am I supposed to get your attention if you’re not communicating with us, Hm?” Chad rests his cheek into his balled up fist.
Maya rolls her eyes again, “by shutting up and letting me think.”
“You might be doing too much of that, sis.” Mindy remarks with a sigh.
A small silence hits the kitchen but Maya picks up on what’s behind it. That buzzing sound that makes her itch at her aggravated knee and a clapping sound made by Mindy makes her zero in on the attack.
“What’d you do that for?!” Chad rubs at his bare shoulder while Mindy scrunches up her nose, before moving around to wash her hands.
Mindy says over her shoulder, “there was a mosquito ready to take your blood and I handled it. You’re welcome!”
“I think it might already have,” Chad answers, pinching at his skin and Maya can see from where she stands that his skin was swelling and turning pink.
They’ve all had lots of scars on their bodies due to growth and of course the trauma of running for their lives but this felt different and Maya wasn’t sure how to explain that. It’s like the feeling deep in your gut that’s aching and rolling like the waves of a storm in the sea, hinting at you that something was wrong.
Although, Maya seemed to be the only one feeling like this and was beginning to wonder if that was just her own mother’s worries running through her blood. Normally that wouldn’t be…so why was now dissimilar?
“Hey, whatever is it I’m sure we can figure it out.” Maya hears Chad saying to her, he’s standing in front of her now, back leaning against the counter with one hand reaching out to caress a thumb against the inside of her wrist.
It was one of the sensations that seemed to calm her down; especially back when they were kids. He hasn’t done that in awhile but it seems to battle against the nagging itch she’s feeling.
Mindy’s usually the quick thinker out of three, also the out-loud thinker when it comes to it. There’s no such thing as only thinking to yourself when it comes to Mindy Meeks-Martin. When she faces the two, Chad seems to let go of Maya’s wrist and she turns to exit the kitchen; pass the kitchen table and towards the window by the front door.
“Okay you guys were outside, I was inside having a grand time, there we no screams—well—that you guys are aware of but most of you were in the water. Were you in the water, Chad?”
“Nah, wasn’t really feeling it today.”
“So that leaves Sam, tara, and Maya. They were definitely in the water so that means they probably have the answers to why Maya’s like this, since it seems like we’re not gonna get any answers from her just yet.” Mindy thought out loud while Chad just shrugged his shoulders, still clueless and wincing at the pain and slight itch in his own shoulder.
Maya jumped as the door-bell sounded, making the twins share a look.
“It’s probably Sam and Tara.” Chad suggests as Maya looks over at them.
Maya is chewing on her bottom lip again, “Why would they come to the front when they can use the back door?”
“It automatically locks behind you if you close the door a certain way…pop-pop still didn’t fix it I’m guessing. And since you were the last to come in…you may have fully closed it.”
“We don’t know that for sure,” Mindy warned as Chad shook his head at the girl.
“Mindy, don’t start.”
“I’m just saying! Maya’s having a moment and now the doorbell rings? It can’t just be a coincidence.”
“Things have been normal for months now, stop it before you make things worse.” Chad hissed at Mindy, sending a reassuring smile to Maya who exhaled.
“It’s okay, you can let them in Maya.”
“I’m not touching that door,” Maya states as there’s now a knocking at the door.
Mindy looks at Chad who’s now scrolling away on his phone and she reaches over to slap his phone from his hands.
The phone clatters onto the floor.
“Hey, what the hell!?”
“The right thing to do is reveal who’s at the door but you can’t send a man to do a woman’s job, obviously.” Mindy scowls as she brushed by her brother, taking her time as she steps towards Maya who can’t see through the window who’s at the door, so she takes a step back.
Chad scoffs, “I’m not gonna lie, that’s offensive.”
Maya shakes her head as Mindy picks up the golf club that’s sitting in the umbrella holder by the door, “the right thing to do is get the fuck away from the door.”
Unbeknownst to Maya and Mindy, Chad is approaching them now as Mindy slowly unlocks the door, breathing increasing, “None of the phones rung so we should be okay, right? Right!”
Mindy coached herself as she flings open the door with a roar, making Maya hold her breath again, just for Mindy to slowly lower the golf club.
“Oh it’s just Alex, the guy I told you about, Maya.” Mindy calls over her shoulder, but keeps a steady eye on the tall guy at the door.
He shows a dimpled smile, light stubble on his face, dark blue eyes, thick curly hair tied back, nice cheekbones—basically he looked like a model.
Chad didn’t like this guy and wasn’t sure why he was here in the first place.
“Hi,” Alex smiles at Mindy which she returns before his expression turns serious as he yells out, “Hey!”
That’s when both Maya and Mindy turn to see Chad red-handed. Something flies away from Maya’s direction and out the front door, Maya hears it but doesn’t focus on it as they’re all eyeing Chad now.
“It’s not what it looks like.”
“Were you about to smack me over the head? With a skillet?!” Maya eyes the heavy item that Chad finally starts to lower.
Mindy frowns, “Fuck is wrong with you dude?”
“There was a mosquito!” Chad tries to defend but Maya is heading through the kitchen and down the hall.
Mindy tells as she waves Alex inside, “A skillet though? On Maya? Not your best thinking.”
“Yeah, seems pretty violent if you ask me.” Alex adds as Chad tightens his eyes at him.
“Well nobody is asking you, Aaron Taylor Johnson.”
Alex raises his brows, “you know he’s actually playing in the new kraven movie that’s coming out?”
“I don’t care.” Chad widened his eyes and lifts his shoulders before also leaving Alex behind with Mindy.
Mindy apologetically smiles as she welcomes Alex to place the food he brought with him on the kitchen table, “You remember my idiot brother, Chad and the one trying to get away from him, is Maya.”
“Is now a bad time to be here?”
“Only if you didn’t see my shameful fling leave on your way over.” Mindy jokes with a light punch to Alex’s shoulder.
Chad is leaning in the doorway as Maya flops herself back onto her bed for the weekend. It’s usually the room his parents stayed in when they would all come out here in the winter. He’s quiet as he folds his arms, picking up on the profile of his old friend, seeing specs of freckles from the sun lingering on her cheeks, her low-set eyes, and the slope of her nose…
“Maya,” Chad calls out but she’s still staring up at the ceiling, curly braids spread out around her.
Now he’s jumping on the bed and Maya is floating up in the air but before she can collide with the ground, Chad is full of laughs before he loops a arm underneath her stomach to stop her from completely falling off the bed.
“Why are you like this?” Maya groans as Chad pulls her upright.
He’s still smiling then, “why would I be anything else?…I hope I didn’t break the bed.”
He’s shifting on it now, testing it for any new and odd sounding creaks, “Nope, I think you’re good.”
If she wasn’t, she would definitely be finding a spot in Mindy’s room or kicking Chad from the best sectional in the house, which happened to be in the basement—surprisingly.
“Are you ready to talk about what’s bothering you…or do you need more time?” Chad asks, while Maya rolls her neck around to release some tension.
Maya swallows, “I’m just being silly and it was probably just my imagination.”
Chad hums, “maybe, maybe not. But if you have doubts, you can always talk to me. Or Mindy but preferably me first, you know that right?”
“Yeah, yeah. Of course.” Maya gives a soft smile, “See? All better.”
“I can’t say I believe that, babe.” Chad tells Maya who rolls a glare his way, “but in due time you’ll let us in?”
She nods.
“Okay! Now that that is placed on hold for now, wanna walk on the boardwalk with me?” Chad pokes Maya who slaps his hand away.
“No.”
He shakes his hand out, “Ow, that kinda hurt.”
Maya raises a brow, “You didn’t see that mosquito just then?”
It’s Chad’s turn to roll his eyes, “I see how it is.”
“Uh huh.” She grins with teeth, allowing Chad to see the small gap in her front two teeth that he found cute, remembering that it was much bigger when they were kids but it started to close up as they got older but the minor detail was still there.
Still Maya.
“So…c’mon vámonos!”
“I’d rather stay here than go be around other people and you for the rest of the night.”
Chad sighed, “that was mean and this fake dislike you have in your heart for me is getting old, Maya Papaya.”
“When you say things like that, kinda makes it easy for me.” Maya leans towards him with a satisfied grin.
Chad stares down at Maya and presses his forehead against her’s, “you’re a bad liar.”
Maya’s staring back at Chad with his eyes on her and now she’s finding it hard to breathe, this must be what Tara feels being asthmatic and all but surely much worse. There was no denying that Maya had love for Chad, he’s always been in her life and he was the one she didn’t mind talking shit to.
In fact he was one of her favorite people.
“And there’s no way in hell we’re leaving anybody behind here! That’s rule number one and you know that.” Mindy’s voice interrupts, making Maya pull back.
Chad sighs in disappointment as he looks at his sister, “well I wasn’t inviting everybody.”
“Oh,” Mindy places her hand on her chest in mock offense, “Didn’t you say vámonos? I thought exclusion was also off the table when it came to us monster inc?”
“It is but we don’t need the bozo with the manbun tagging along either.” Chad told as Mindy smirks.
“But he and Maya didn’t get to spend any time together.” She pouts.
“Good,” Chad scoffs while Maya tilts her head to the side, “he seems more like Sam’s type anyway.”
“Not for you to decide my twin!”
Mindy is all finger-guns and Chad is all annoyance.
“And it’s not up for you to decide to be match-maker, that is what you’re doing isn’t it?”
“Is it?” Mindy has a knowing smirk on her face, arms crossed.
Maya jumps up, “alright enough! You two are giving me a headache, let’s go to this dumb boardwalk already.”
“That’s the spirit, Maya!” Mindy grips her shoulders with a light shake as she tries to squeeze out of Mindy’s way, braids all in her face now.
Once Maya is out of sight, Mindy turns back to Chad who is now pushing off the bed with a exhale and sends his sister a middle finger who just laughs at his expense.
July’s on the boardwalk were muggy but at least there was a hint of a breeze as the night fell. Alex and Sam are leading the way, sharing small chatter while Mindy and Tara are in the middle laughing about something over cotton candy, leaving Maya and Chad behind. The boardwalk is full of noise and various of colorful lights shining through the dark skies.
“Remember when you fell trying to get this grasshopper out of Mindy’s hair in the sixth grade?” Chad brought up while Maya peeked over at him.
“I was actually trying to forget it,” Maya says, “I was the one who ended up getting in trouble in gym class over it. Just for helping out a friend, during that awful PACER test, like how does that make sense?!”
“It also didn’t help that you stepped on Jackson Horne’s stomach during it, knowing that was Mr. Sapo’s nephew.”
“He sucked too.”
“I actually didn’t mind him.”
“That because you hung out with douchebags, you weenie.”
“You’re the weenie!” Chad yanked Maya underneath his arm, ready to give her a noogie but she pinched his side, making him yelp.
Maya fans herself after getting out of hold, “I didn’t see you trying to search and get the grasshopper out.”
“She was running all over the place and why would I ever? you’re the bug lover.”
The itch was slowly starting again, “was.”
A hush falls between the two but the comfort of Chad beside Maya is all she seems to need, to not worry about that hunch that’s still sitting in her gut.
“You ever think about—
Maya starts but feels her phone buzzing from her back pocket. She stops in the middle of the boardwalk with Chad turning to her but watching the many faces that are finding their enjoyment in the summer boardwalk.
“Hey ma,” Maya starts as she meets Chad’s eyes who softly smiles.
“Hi Mrs. Evans! Maya’s safe and having fun, don’t worry!” He yells with enthusiasm, his forehead brushing against Maya’s again as he talks into the receiver.
Maya lightly shoves Chad away, his body containing too much heat, pressed a finger to her other ear and blocking out the noise while Chad laughs, “Sorry mom, what did you say?”
She’s walking a bit away from Chad now.
“I said, is this Maureen Evans?” The familiar nasal but scratchy voice says, “Oh my mistake, that Maureen is also in the ground somewhere. Now it’s my turn to make sure another Evans gets gutted from the inside out next! Those mosquitoes won’t even compare to what I’m about to do to you. So! Maya Evans, what’s your favorite scary movie?”
Took them long enough.
Maya’s eyes are searching the boardwalk now but of course everyone looks sane. Unconsciously she’s scratching at her knee cap and her breathing becomes labored with her eyelashes stinging with tears.
Maureen Evans was her twenty-two year old older cousin that she didn’t get the chance to meet. Her father often told her some stories about his niece and her dreams to be in the medical field, wanting to build artificial organs since she couldn’t stand gore (something Maya and Maureen strongly had in common) and wanted to figure out what medical problems someone may have. Maya was always told that Maureen had her head on straight and had a desire to help others when they couldn’t help themselves.
It’s a ignominy that no one helped her in her final moments.
“How long have you been watching?”
“Since last night! I honestly thought you and Pretty boy Chad would be sharing a bed but maybe he’s still interested in that little bitch Tara instead! How does that make you feel, Maya Papaya?” Ghostface quizzes.
“Fuck you!” Maya screams into her phone, causing a mother to shield her children’s ears from her outburst and others to stare but continuing carrying on in their New York glory.
“Maya?” Chad is making his way over to her now, trying to get through a sea of people.
“Wait! Before you hang up, you still didn’t answer my question.”
“And I’m not going to, you fucking nut bag.”
With that she ends the call and turns to Chad who grips her forearms. “What is it, Maya?”
“That was ghostface. I was right! They’re back.”
“No way.” Chad pulls Maya into his arms, also looking around above her head before he turns back in the direction they were going, up ahead he can see the group who carried on without them. With one hand he cups one hand to his mouth to call out to them, “Mindy! Tara! Sam!”
They don’t hear him.
“Call them.”
Chad fishes through his pocket, just to find his phone dead like they all might be, yet again. He takes the liberty of grabbing Maya’s phone and tells Siri to call Mindy as they disappear through the crowd.
The phone rings for what feels like forever until it finally picks up, “Hello Prince Chad! Isn’t it a lovely night to stroll the boardwalk and die?”
With that, Chad slips his fingers through Maya’s and tugs her along as they began running through the crowd, “who is this?”
“Take a wild guess.”
“I swear on uncle Randy’s soul, if this is that ponytail wearing fuck—
“Oh please Chad, wouldn’t that be too obvious? You’ve got to be smarter than that, or maybe I give you too much credit for having more than half a brain cell.”
“Just wait until I get my hands on you.” Chad laughs, still running.
“Not unless I get to you first.”
And the call drops just as Chad and Maya make their way to the group, who’s lingering by a Photo Booth that’s outside of the slingshot ride.
“There you two are,” Tara smiles at them but it quickly falters once she sees the expression on her friends faces, “what happened?”
“Ghostface has your phone.” Chad breathes as he looks at Mindy who pats her pockets.
“I don’t think I brought it with me in the first place.”
Maya questions, “Where’s Sam and Alex?”
Tara looks up at the ride behind them and gulps before they all take off to the operator of the ride.
“I never trusted this guy and his ugly ass hair!” Chad points at the air as he expresses to Mindy while Tara is arguing with the teen that’s operating the ride.
Mindy shifts on her feet, “We don’t even know for sure it’s him.”
“We also don’t know he’s not the killer.” Maya announces.
Mindy queries, “Well what did ghostface say?”
Maya gives Mindy the run down while Chad goes to help Tara get the kid to turn the machine off. Mindy is intently listening to everything Maya tells her and hums as actual frightened screams fill the ride. It takes minutes for the kid to slam on the big red button to stop the ride.
Mindy takes Maya’s hand and together they quickly walk to the outside of the gate, in front of them stands Chad and Tara. They all stare up at the ride that’s halted in the middle, where they see Sam lifting her head, face full of tears as specs of blood are on her cheek and with a very dead Alex slumped over beside her, blood running down the base of the ride with his insides exposed to the public.
Soft music plays in the background as the bloody scene burns into their brains:
…There's a battle ahead
Many battles are lost
But you'll never see the end of the road…
“Get me the fuck off!” Sam screams, legs swinging as others continue screaming and a crowd begins to form, some even taking pictures.
Maya feels the urge to empty her stomach but the shock freezes it in place for now. She didn’t think she’d ever get used to seeing dead bodies in front of her.
Hey now, hey now
Don't dream it's over
Hey now, hey now
Tara, Chad, Mindy and Maya all share a look of pure terror as Sam’s screams stand out to them, while the realization of everything was starting over again for the third time.
When the world comes in
They come, they come
One things for sure that they all knew, they weren’t going back to the fucking Meeks lake house tonight, that’s for sure and certain.
To build a wall between us
We know they won't win…
Maya pulls her hand away from Mindy’s the longer she stares at Alex’s body and finds the nearest trash can to up chuck into. After a couple of dry heaves afterwards, she used the back of her hand to wipe at her mouth and stands up straight just as a hand touches the small of her back.
Her elbows instantly want to go flying but she knows the touch belongs to Chad as the sound of fireworks blast through the air. They both stare up into the sky as it tosses blue and red sparks into the air, signaling freedom.
Would they ever be?

Could do a tara carpenter x fem reader
Tara keeps unknowingly friend-zoning r. R can’t take it anymore
*she feels her heart breaking every time tara is flirting with chad despite it being playful and them not having feeling for each other. R is being petty toward them and it makes tara wonder why her “friend” is mad about.*
She decide to move on and go on a date with someone *she is tired of trying and failing at giving hints to tara that she likes her* tara notice her on date with a person and gets a weird feeling even though she doesn’t know why she feeling like this since she assume r has feeling for chad
Mindy helps/spells it out to her very oblivious friends that r loves her *which make tara have a “oh s**t” moment* and have Mindy be her wingwoman to get the girl
Idk why I feel like tara has a naive side to her and I just see her not noticing that r has been giving hints and she doesn’t get until Mindy just blurts it out and she just like “oh? Oh. OH!😳”
I wanna ruin our friendship PT. 1 — Tara Carpenter ★
part two here!
PAIRING: Tara Carpenter x Fem!reader
SUMMARY: Tara can’t get a hint fr, reader gets hurt and Tara gets hurt, this fic is long I’m so sorry. BUT ITS FLUFF DONT WORRY And I suggest looking at the request I’m too lazy to rewrite a really summary
A/N: i love this idea sm 🤭
You sat across from Tara while she sat next to Chad. They were flirting again like they always were and you glared at Mindy and Anika from where you sat for giving you the confidence to come tonight.
The whole group had planned a dinner at a nice restaurant, and Danny was paying. The reason you hadn’t wanted to go was because you’ve had this enormous crush on your best friend, Tara, for ages now, but she never seemed to reciprocate your feelings. Her and Chad were always flirting when you guys were hanging out.
You had tried flirting with Tara like your friends told you but Tara just brushed you off! She was always friend zoning you, maybe you should get the hint. They like each other, right? They’ve got to. But then why was Tara always flirting with you when you guys were alone? It didn’t make any sense but you pushed your thoughts away and messed with the food in front of you as you listened to Tara and Chad’s conversation.
“You’re pretty cute, you know that?”
“Yeah? You think so?”
“Mhm”
That mixed with the laugh Tara let out, you wanted to puke. It wasn’t fair. Sometimes you thought Tara liked you but when Chad was there it was a different story, you just didn’t understand it. But you knew it was making you upset. Flirty comment after flirty comment you felt the grip on your fork get stronger.
How could she not know you liked her? You tried “putting yourself out there” like Mindy said, you tried giving her hints but nothing worked.
“Hey y/n, you okay?”
Snapping you out of your thoughts was Tara’s voice and that’s when you felt her hand on yours, trying to soothe you. “Yeah, I’m perfect,” you said giving her a sarcastic smile to which she furrowed her eyebrows at.
“What’s wrong? You don’t normally act like this.”
You scoff and what you wanted to say was, “Yeah sorry I’m not in the best mood when I’m seeing my crush and my best friends brother flirt with each other right in front of me” but you didn’t of course.
So you settled with, “I’m just not hungry, I guess.”
She wasn’t satisfied with that answer though.
“Cmon let’s talk outside.”
Before you could come up with an excuse Tara had made it to your side of the table and grabbed your hand, pulling you outside.
The cool air hit your face and Tara wasted no time in interrogating you. “What’s gotten into you?” She asked sounding concerned. “Nothing has gotten into me, I’m just tired. It’s been a long day,” you lied, “Why don’t you just go back to Chad?”
Tara was even more confused now. Why was one of her best friends upset with her? “Did I do something?” she asked. You shook your head, “No, I’m just gonna go home.”
You walked away, leaving Tara puzzled and a little hurt. She didn’t understand but you didn’t blame her, you didn’t understand yourself either. why were you pushing her away? why wont you just tell her? why are you so frustrated? Your thoughts raced as you walked back to your shared dorm you had with Mindy and Anika that luckily wasn’t too far of a walk and immediately jump on your bed. You begin to cry into your pillow as you thought of Tara and all the times you’ve tried flirting with her.
You two have always been close so physical touch wasn’t uncommon. You’d always hold hands or when you would have a movie night she’d lay on your shoulder and you’d have your arms around her. In high school when you guys had sleepovers you used to cuddle. One time when the group was hanging out for the night you two were alone and you almost kissed her, but Chad walked in.
You always compliment her, calling her cute or gorgeous. Pet names weren’t uncommon either, sometimes she’d greet you like, “y/n my love, you made it!”
The tears kept coming but you sat up and hugged your pillow and weakly attempted to wipe them away. Maybe it was time to move on, she was clearly interested in Chad more than you. It would hurt trying to move on, you feel like you’ve liked her forever, maybe you even loved her. But if the feelings weren’t reciprocated there was no point in trying anymore.
You looked at your phone and answered some texts from Anika before falling asleep.
It’s been a few days since the dinner and you’ve been avoiding Tara. You honestly didn’t really notice until Mindy told you Tara was worried about you. However, you didn’t want to worry about her right now since you were getting ready for a date. You picked a simple outfit, a cute black shirt with some lace on it and jeans that fit you good. This was going to get your mind off of everything.
You had met your date at a cute little restaurant and you were enjoying yourself. The person was kind and funny but you felt off at the same time. They were sweet sure but there was something missing. You knew you wanted Tara to be the one you were one a date with, but you couldn’t help how things turned out. This was supposed to be good for you, so you pushed your true feelings down.
Tara was out with Quinn walking down the streets of New York. Tara always preferred the city when it was dark, the lights were much prettier. “Hey can we go in here real quick? I just wanna grab a coffee then we can head home,” Quinn said pointing to a cutely lit restaurant with roses out front. Tara nodded, “Sure, I’ll get one too.”
They went inside and took in their surroundings, it was quite a pretty place. Tara figured it was new since she hadn’t seen it before. Tara told Quinn her order and headed to a little bar by a window while Quinn went in line. Tara looked at all the couples passing by the window and she started fantasizing about being in a cutesy romantic relationship like that.
She was about to put her headphones on until she heard something, or someone. She heard you, she heard your laugh and she quickly turned around only to have her heart slightly break at the sight. She saw you with someone else, on a date clearly. They were attractive and you looked happy. You looked beautiful too, you always did. She wasn’t sure why it bothered her so much but it did. It hurt, but she couldn’t bring herself to look away.
Quinn managed to get Tara out of her gaze by tapping her on the shoulder, “Tara, you there?”
She quipped her head to the red head, “Huh? Yeah, I’m fine,” she gave a sad smile and Quinn tilted her head unconvinced. “What were you looking at?” Quinn asks, concerned for her friend. “Uh, Y/n’s here. It just caught me off guard you know? Lets go,” Tara jumped out of her seat and walked out the door and Quinn quickly followed her but not before getting a good look at you and your date.
When they got to their apartment Mindy, Anika, Ethan, and Chad were already there along with Sam and Danny. Tara had given them a small wave when she walked in but immediately went to her room and shut the door. “What’s up with her?” Sam was the first to ask. Quinn sighed, “She saw y/n on a date at a cafe we went to. She’s pretty upset about it and I’m not sure why. I thought she liked Chad,” she said shrugging.
Chad had a confused expression and muttered a ‘What? Me?’ And Mindy rolled her eyes, “She doesn’t like Chad! God, nobody around here can catch a hint, I’ll talk to her,” she said and got up from her seat with Anika, while Anika let out a small snicker.
Mindy softly knocked on the door, “T? You in there?” She heard nothing but a muffled ‘Yeah!’ on the other side of the door allowing her to open it. “Quinn told me,” Mindy said sitting down on the mattress while Tara sat up groaning, “I don’t get it. I kinda thought she liked Chad-“
“Chad!” Mindy yelled at the girl, “What do you mean Chad?! What is it with everyone and Chad today?!”
“Well, at dinner the other night she was upset and she said something about me going back to Chad or something,” Tara mumbled.
Now it was Mindy’s turn to groan, “Tara, oh my god! She likes you, you big idiot! She’s like in love with you and she’s been sending all these signals and she’s been calling me nonstop about how you don’t get any of them! You’re always flirting with Chad!” Mindy rambled and Tara’s jaw was on the floor. You liked her? No, you loved her?! Since when? She’s liked you for so long and you thought she liked Chad? She can’t blame you cause she thought you liked Chad.
Tara looked at Mindy wide eyed and processed everything that was just said to her. “Wait y/n thought I liked Chad? I flirt with him as a joke.”
Mindy sighed, “Well tell y/n that. Do you like her back?”
“Of course I do!”
“Then tell her!” Mindy said standing and Tara shot up from her seat on the bed and grabbed her phone. She shooed Mindy out of her room and called you and prayed you’d answer. Lucky for her, you did, cause you missed her more then she knew. “Hello? Y/n? I’m coming to your dorm right now can you meet me there, it’s important.”
