Why "The Stanchurian Candidate" is My Favorite Episode

It shows a whole cast of characters acting in ways that are both in-character and very morally gray/ambiguous. Despite this, it is clear they are each acting how they are because they care for each other, especially when Gideon joins and the stakes get much higher.

The appearance of Tad Strange, whom everyone thought at air date would be Bill Cipher's secret twin brother

Ford casually 1 having a mind control tie and 2 saying that it was made "for Ronald Reagan's masters" ???

I know it follows cartoon logic, but I think Dipper owning a shirt that says "Team Stan" is just really sweet. He was really in the campaigning spirit!

"Okay, we'll only jump in if he starts doing badly." "Let's get real: Do you think the women of Gravity Falls wear too much make up?" "Jump in JUMP IN"

Stan has a genuine heartfelt moment where he admits he only wanted to be mayor so the kids would consider him a "hero"

"If I die, make sure I get a bigger tombstone than Ford."

The episode ends a television broadcast listing all of Stan's crimes. Including one he made up. "Burgle-bezzlement"
