this ends ambiguously but i am Choosing to believe they find each other again and live happily ever after for ever and ever bc im a weenie. its just...man fuck the military and i got no fondness for war BUT this isnt real and ergo i can sigh dreamily at love that is inherently kind of tragic and all the more desperately beautiful for you, yknow??

When Nico comes out to Hazel, she really isn't sure how to react. Of course, she loves her brother to pieces, but something is holding her back. It takes a while to get over old beliefs. It takes a while to become accepting. It takes Hazel a while indeed. A.K.A. Nico is gay and Hazel can't wrap her head around it.

contrary to what the summary may lead you to believe, hazel is NOT at all homophobic in this fic. in fact her number one goal at all times is to be supportive, even as she struggles, and you know what? thats more important i think. her love for her brother is so transparently obvious in this one, she spends like 8k words doing everything she can to make SURE she is loving and accepting!!! hazel i love you. also the campfire scene had me giggling fr

hi u asked for book recs and I could not stop the gremlin in me from jumping at the chance so here are a list of books I lovedddd they're all standalones and I absolutely adored all of them

life/people/relationships 

-the kite runner by khaled hosseini: such a moving story about amir and his childhood friend hassan who live in afghanistan and their lives as children and then into adulthood its such an amazing story but it is also very heavy and deals with tough things so just keep that in mind 

-tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow by gabrielle zevin: 2 people who are super smart making a game together and their lives from children to adults 

-sea of tranquility by emily mandel: multiple people over a few hundred yrs experience the same thing at a specifc spot and this guy is sent through time to investigate it 

-station eleven by emily mandel: set in a dystopian future after the world is ravaged by a flu, it follows the experience of a travelling theater group and they way they live their lives 

-lessons in chemistry by bonnie garmus: set in the 1960s, it follows elizabeth zott a chemist who works in a very sexist environment, who a few years later ends up the star of a cooking show

romance 

-book lovers by emily henry: romance story about an editor who goes to a picturesque little town for a getaway with her sister and keeps running into a an editor she def does not like,,,, unless?

-the seven husbands of evelyn hugo by taylor jenkins reid - what the title says, its a rlly good book i love it

fantasy

-master of one by jaida jones - this one is technically not a standalone, as it is supposed to be part of a series, but its been a while now and theres no second book or even any plans for one so u can treat it as a standalone, its about a thief who gets caught and is hired by the crown to steal a precious artefact which turns out to be a whole fae prince

-babel - sososo good i absolutely love it, its a fantasy book set in a world where translations are basically magic and make things happen, and it follows robin, a young boy who is "saved" by a white professor and raised to enter oxford and his experience and his life 

anyways ik this is a lot 😭😭 but if you ever end up reading any of them I'd love to hear ur thoughts

4.) Where do you find inspiration for new ideas?

Honestly? really anywhere. Some of my fics come from sentences that appear in my brain or sometimes they happen because I can picture an animatic to a song and because I can't animate for shit- I write it. Some of my favourite fics I have ever written comes from outta all palces, Uquizz questions. Or answers. My first hangman/kenny fic came from a uqizz answer that made me kinda tear up. It is my favourite thing ive ever written. I have no real place to dive into the well of answers- its just constantly getting little idease and filling up!

10.) Cltr+f "blinks" on your WIP & copy paste the first sentence/paragraph that comes up

The first thing Matt does when he finally bundles Jay through the door to the Elite’s hotel room is grab them softly by the shoulders. She blinks at him as if he doesn't know him; confused and frog-like. The light looks like it burns their eyes and Nick tries his best to dim the lamps bestie the beds, fiddling with the buttons before the light becomes soft glowing embers and Jay stops squinting. There’s the last of few snowflakes sticking to their hair, melting away into small patches of wetness.. Matt reaches down and rushes them away, feeling them disappear against the calloused pads of his fingers.

13.) what’s a common writing tip that you almost always follow?

If you can tell from anything I've written, im always big on show don't tell. Sure just telling someone something really puts the point across but I think sometimes extended methaphors and flowery language pulls so much more emotions and thoughts out of the readers and really makes me think upon specific lines. Also this is the only advice I can give to new writers, is have fun! You are writing for you first and even if YOU think its bad, theres gonna be someone out there thats gonna love it. Only You can write the stories that you wanna tell, so do it! I'm proud of you for putting a small amount of your soul into the words.

17.) What do you do when writing becomes difficult? (maybe a lack of inspiration or writers block)

I re-read some of my stuff, read some of my favourite fanfics. Talk to my big sibling about writng ideas. Honestly just try to force a little idea out. All writing is good, even if its just a sentence that youre gonna end up deleteing. Remind myself that this is for me first of all, im writing because I like providing content and I love wrestling and writing for it, I love my friends and the content they produce. I also am big on going back through comments and tags on reblogs of my old fics because that shows me that I CAN DO THIS! even if it takes me a little while, I will get something out that I will be proud off and people are going to love it.

22.) Are there certain types of writing you won’t do? (style, pov, genre, tropes, etc)

Oh boy, theres a few if I think about it. I wont write X reader because theyre just, not my style. I like going into a characters emotions and thoughts and feelings. I can't do that with X reader. I also rely a lot on descriptions so thats also another thing that you cant do in X readers. I reblog the ones that I like because I'll read them now and again. I wrote write Buckcest for reasons I really shouldnt have to go into. Things like rape or like extreme tortue is another one I wont write. I also won't write anything A/B/O or Mpreg cuz personally I think its gross. Afgain yall can like what yall like but its just not my vibe- makes me feel all kinda squirmy inside. I can't write first person POV for shit and second POV just feels odd, I think i've written it once and it was a STRUGGLE. Also just because I throw so much into fics that they get outta my hands. I could not stick to the 100 words only drabbles. Theres just so much story and build up I love to write and again with the flowery language 100 words just isnt enough!

23.) Best writing advice for other writers?

HAVE FUN! thats the most important thing! You should at least enjoy writing and it should have a possitve effect on you. It should be fun. theres also some tips somewhere on my blog. I have a tag or at least HAD a tag that should be 'mouses writing advice' theres a whole buncha tags there

( AKAI I LIKE YOUR RIKA SO MUCH!!!! she really gives me MAJOR 'mentor' vibes. she seems like she takes her job within the league super seriously. she feels like the glue holding the entire elite 4 + geeta together. she's a professional, but also casual about it to an extent- she reminds me of the one teacher i had in elementary school who me and all of the other kids LOVED and almost saw him as a cool, fun uncle. i LOVE the effort you put into her backstory. i'm a big fan of the "raised by wolves" sort of trope, and you do it in such a cool and interesting and unique way!!! i love SO MUCH that even though she had a hard time connecting with those around her as a kid, that she found a family through the paldean woopers and clodsires. it's so sweet to me and i will be completely honest, i cried when i read your backstory page for her the first time. i love her so much and i need to come up with some way for emmet to bug her one of these days (because i LOVE her and iono from the 1 ask i sent but her muse isnt as loud as emmets and i need your rika in my life more hjskdf) your rika is just so... complex and deep. i really really adore her. )

// ajshdkjhds aaaaaaaaa you don't know how much this ask means to me ;;;; i've been reading and re-reading it since i got it and i'm still in awe at how much you were able to pick up from my portrayal!! i didn't expect it to move someone as much as it did but ghfg i'm happy you enjoy it!! there's a lot of tropes i adore from stuff i've watched and enjoy that i either consciously or unconsciously added onto her, as well as some things from my culture as someone from spain, and although i like to keep her as canon rika (at least on a surface level), it's the layers you peel what make you discover the real depth of her character... in a way i like when pokemon games give us just enough info abt the characters to allow you to make up your own theories about em, i use that for my absolute advantage and this is no exception hahaha

first fav is @reptile-ruler , their febuwhump stuff is amazing and mishaps is REALLY good, tbh mishaps has a lot of tropes i usually dont like but reptile-ruler does them so well that the stuff i dont like about those tropes isnt really.... there

(for instance i hate zim assimilating into human culture because he just kinda ignores everything about him being irken and the authors tend to treat irk as some kind of Monolithic Badplace... but in mishaps while zim has assimilated he still feels a struggle and still has irken values... the ending of the unwanted visitors (which i wont spoil) is the culmination of that and its amazing)

also the drifters au fucks hard and its one of my fav aus

very close second is @depressed-zimothy! training days is, and i am not exaggerating, exactly what ive always wanted in a fanfic. the red and zim stuff is fucking stellar and there are so many nuances about the characters if u examine the text a little more... i should leave comments on it tbh

also catalyst is amazing and u can see my two essay comments explaining why right there on the fic so i wont repeat myself here (but read the fic first obvi)

firewall is part of @reynaruina‘s ponytail dib AU and it is honestly fucking stellar. i recommend this thing to everyone i know and in my opinion it is THE computer fic. genuinely everyone should read this, even if you dont want to read the rest of the au or even zadr at all. please computer is so good in it. 

in the beginning note there’s a paragraph explaining the basics of the au so you can read with no prior knowledge of PT dib but ill do you one better: the immediate context for firewall is that there was a blackout at zim’s house, and zim and dib were finally starting to get it on with each other during it. computer fixed the lights and turned them back on, and dib saw his reflection in the (off) TV. he gets upset seeing himself and leaves, so zim is angry at computer. and that’s right where firewall starts

please read firewall. im on my knees begging. computer in firewall is fucking sublime and the perfect blend of irritated and dad. literally no other computer portrayal compares. firewall was, is, and always will be The Standard.

ersatz is another amazing one, the zim angst is sublime and hes never like, a fuckin uwu sadbaby. but you still feel so, so sorry for him and what he’s going through. the author really knows how to pack a punch without exhausting the reader and as someone who specializes in angst i can respect that. (fun facts: i love this fic so much that mirforn, an irken painkiller featured in it, is in ANX as A Loving Reference that i will absolutely credit and also shill for ersatz in the author’s notes)

300 days of zim is really good if you like self-inserts! it’s gender-neutral and in second-person so its really immersive, and zim is just so good in it, he retains all his zimmy goodness but there’s a certain softness (in a way) that makes you fall in love with him

speaking of self inserts, @majentaffy‘s tallest magenta series is a fucking stellar series! red and purple are amazing and its honestly one of the most in-character portrayals of them ive ever seen! though i like both of them, im personally more a fan of the invader red series (also a self-insert series) where red takes zim’s place on earth, basically. both series are gender-neutral and in second-person just like 300 days up there

hit me is a rapr classic. thats really all i have to say about it, most of my tallest-loving friends have read it at some point. i reread it on occasion; its an elite-era fic, and a slight au in this is where they meet. its lovely

begin is a human au i personally really like because it has a lot of hyperspecific headcanons of mine in it but it could be a personal taste thing. try it out tho!

there was also this other human au where purple was a drifter and red worked at a diner and sizz-lorr was his boss. it legit felt like an original short story and this made me go out and fucking find it again. its called hand in unlovable hand give it a try

i read canvas years ago and the ending still sticks to me today. it’s a oneshot songfic where the gist is that red’s hooked on drugs. it sounds like its gonna be bad and melodramatic but i actually really like it, it surprises you. it surprised me, too. it’s first person but it really does sound like red is talking. i’m extremely picky with first person (i never read it outside of this) but canvas does it right. please, please i implore you, give canvas a chance. you won’t regret it, i promise

why didn’t we just shoot him? is an amazing exploration on the tallests’ defectiveness and that’s all im going to say on that

all 4 works by this author are part of the same series, but they’re not in a series tag. i just call the series mudroom, after the first one i read. it’s an acquired taste and PLEASE heed the warnings, but i like it so its here

and last but certainly not least, when the time comes is unique in that when the plot changes i dont groan and go “aww, but i like the old stuff!” it goes to a lot of places but personally it feels like each event is a natural consequence of the previous one. dib’s a bit of a dick in it lmfao and zim so far is going thru a trauma conga line but i respect that it doesnt pretend to be anything its not. its a porn-with-plot with angst and sometimes thats just what you fucken need sometimes

would u ever analyze disloyal order? it is my favorite fob song but much of the verses honestly confuse tf outta me, particularly the second one. lol

of course! ill do that for you now. fun fact: disloyal order is the song that 100% sold me on fob

to begin with the title, it is a reference i am far too young to get and have just figured out after years of puzzling. its a reference to an elite boys club in the flinstones. disloyal order of water buffaloes as a title is just saying "society is made for a certain kind of people to succeed and its fucked up" and that makes all of the lyrics make so much more sense. its been so long.

the prelude describes the persona coming undone, and turning themself into someone elses ideal. trying to do so leaves them feeling empty inside, since this isnt what they want, this is whats expected of them. this fits nicely into the overarching theme of the album, which is [joker voice] society and how it shapes us for better or (more often), for worse. in fact, disloyal order, as an opener, is an introduction on the essay that is folie à deux, painting broad strokes of a lot of what it covers. the prechorus also touches on this, painting the persona as just a single malfunctioning part of a whole intricate system.

the first verse points to the persona waking up, dazed and covered in wounds, and covincing themself this is normal, and that they wouldnt remember it even if they tried. it goes on to talk about them bein arrested, and them needing medical attention, and that theyre certifiably insane, but also taking care to mention how sensational their story is. this verse tells us about the exploitation of sick people, and about people running themselves into the ground for fame or money. they dont need to be sold as a story, they need to be helped as a person.

the second verse gestures to themes of sex and romance. theres a moment where the persona misinterprets something innocuous as an advance (little girl got me staring odd/or is that just a telescopic camera nod). they then goes on to talk about soliciting sex workers– they can only really interpret woman in the context of being attracted to them. one could argue the line "all the rookies leave your badge and your gun on the desk when you leave the room" could be about inexperienced young lovers being told to sit this one out.

and then, the chorus, which asks people to embrace apathy (boycott love) and to stay ignorant and repeat the same old mistakes (detox just to retox). the line "id promise you anything for another shot at life" implies someone promising to fix everything in exchange for another chance. the last two lines, however, i think are most interestingly read from a meta perspective, ie its the band saying 'no one wants to hear celebrities sing about peoples problems'

i think disloyal order points to one of the main problems i have with folie, which is that its way too ambitious. they wanted to do so much, musically and lyrically, gave themselves too little time to do it, did the whole citizens fob thing, they stuffed a lot onto every song, and i think the albums is worse off for it. dont misconstrue me, folie is a beautiful album that explores a lot of ideas in a genuinely thought provoking manner, and musically i think its extremely well put together. truly its an experience of sound. but i think the concepts dont work together in the way they could. lyrically i think its among the weakest fall out boy albums, because unlike ioh, which is specifically about fame, or mania, which is just about mental health, or futct, which is about a specific relationship and the feelings it evoked, this album is about everything, and it gets that across really well sometimes but just as often it gets that across really okay-ly.

like, in this song alone, which summarises the album, we have 3 very distinct themes– exploitation of vulnerable people, sex and relationships, and apathy being exploited for power. theyre definitely connected, but this one album feels like it shouldve been a triptych, or that one of these themes shouldve been dropped completely (i think number 2 wasnt that necessary). i love it, i really do, its genuinely amazing and its a masterpiece and is so worthy of being anyones favorite. this is just my purely technical (as in based in technique and execution) criticism.

my thoughts: this is a one-shot book (no cohesive storyline unless chosen) but its so good. so good. i thought shigaraki, dabi and all might in one book was interesting but never the less, super good! i never was interested in the mute concept but its written good? (but thinking about it all the other mute!reader fics are good but they wont nsfw so it didnt interest me-) furthermore, its so good. so pure. so hot. 11/10 would recommend.

(thats if tumblr didnt fucking remove my damn following like it usually does. ._.) enough about that, its really good. i think about it often.

Do you have any other ideas for a Saiki crossover? The one with Harry Potter is delightful, and even thought i haven't read Worm, i really love you new fic...

hmm i think with saiki what makes a crossover interesting is the potential routes of character growth or character exploration that can be opened up by putting him in a new setting. hes powerful enough that conflict has to come from complications in human relationships/society rather than the lack of power to forcefully resolve his problems. anyways heres some crossovers i think would potentially be cool

mp100: mob and saiki both have a focus on living an ordinary life but there are a few differences that make them meeting really interesting... first being that mob isnt afraid of showing his psychic powers to his friends, like tome, whereas saiki will hide his powers unless forced to. second being that mob’s power has an off switch so hes much more capable of living an ordinary life, whereas saikis power is constantly active and at such a scale that any careless moves on his part could become really destructive. 

i think a good crossover between mp100 and saiki would examine the similarities and differences in how immense power has shaped their lives and how they deal with it, and also think about how saiki would react to mob’s growth & personal goals. (jealousy, maybe.)

since saikis got his telepathy, it would also be cool to see him and takenaka interact. saiki gains someone into his world who understands what life for him is like! 

as an outsider i doubt saiki would interfere overly much with the psychic battles / events that happen in mp100 unless asked, but i think he could have some killer conversations with, say, ritsu about the price of power, and with shou about the responsibilities that come with power.

bleach: an interesting mix. this story is one of those typical shounen power crawl series where its all about getting stronger so you can beat the bad guys, but you look at how a) the hollows are a no good dog-eat-dog world, b) the shinigami have a problem with corruption and elitism, as well as severe abuses of power resulting in human experimentation and wiping out whole groups of people, etc. so then what you actually have is a story about how to restructure society so that it isnt based on military might 

saiki in this story would be fun because he would have a lot of great and interesting interactions with people’s “inner hollows” or their zanpakuto swords on account of his telepathy. 

he also settles very naturally in an “outsiders” sort of role. whether you make him human, shinigami, hollow, whatever, because he can see people’s true natures i think hed be able to perceive a lot of the underlying structural problems behind the conflicts in this story

with his power, he can end conflicts pretty quickly once he sets his mind to it -- so then the story doesn’t become about “end this crisis,” it becomes, “okay, we’ve ended the immediate crisis and put the fire out. how do we rebuild the house?” 

aizen trying to put saiki under his zanpakutos illusions would actually be quite funny. he finds someone he cant manipulate, so then hes forced to rely on his charm instead. it doesnt work but i think as aizens plans continue it would be itnresting if he kept visiting saiki every now and then just to talk, as equals 

it was hinted in bleach that aizen’s problem -- upon almost achieving godhood -- was that he was lonely. i think... saiki would still be able to meet him there, at the pinnacle. and that would be interesting. “alright. you’ve gained the power you wanted so badly, aizen. now what will you do? is this everything you wanted it to be?”

coyote starrk and saiki both share the problem of being so powerful that you are a danger to others if you are around and cant keep yourself under control. i think theyd be friends. saiki would consider starrk proof that hollows can be “nonviolent” and that they’re people too... maybe he wouldnt be involved in the shinigami-hollow conflict at first, but he might intervene for starrk’s sake. 

maybe hed have something going on with ulquiorra too idk ive kinda forgotten a lot about ulquiorra  

i would like it if ichigos friend group also pulled saiki into the fold... orihime would be a good friend for him i think. :)

welcome to night vale: a quiet little town where all conspiracy theories are true and mysteries abound... it would be funny to see saiki clash with all of these mysterious forces that he, for once, does not understand. it would take a while for him to get used to it, but once he gets used to it... who knows. maybe he would enjoy it? a potential exploration of the necessity of struggle to give experiences meaning, ignorance to be able to experience surprise, sorrow to experience joy.

johto is a hard 10/10, if not more. maybe i’m biased since it was my first region, but it’s the perfect sequel. the story and characters, are simple as they are, is memorable and interesting, the lore of the region is splendid, the pokemon are nice and the battles with lance and red are still some of my favorite in the entire series so. yeah.  GAME-SPECIFIC VOTES: GS is 10/10; C is 10.5/10; HGSS is 11/10

im sorry i’m gonna be biased again but hoenn is a 9/10. the original is the game i played the most with my friends and the remake brought me back in the series properly. yes the plot is stupid but its the region i remember having the most fun in; i love kyogre, i love the secret bases, i LOVE the double battles and steven is an underrated champion. plus so far it has the third best post-game content when it comes to the remake, the delta episode really took me by surprise and i love it. GAME-SPECIFIC VOTES: RSE is 8/10; ORAS is 9/10

Angry Rant About how We Should've Known More About Almyra bc I am Mad

Sure wish we knew more about Almyra bc how the fuck do they apparently go from hating Claude's very existence and trying to murder him to following him willingly even tho he hasn't even been in their country since he was 15/16.

Like don't get me wrong, I love Claude being the Almyran prince and ascending the throne and I know in all other endings but Byleth it takes him a few years- but besides the fact that I'm a Claudleth ho I just think they're incredibly fucking wasted in the story and that ending just makes me think of how little we know.

Them following Claude just makes an odd mix of contradicting everything we've been told about them but also not and it pisses me off bc we are never told clearly anything about Almyra and that would've been the fucking time to show us straight what Almyrans are actually like instead of leaving it all for us to assume and pick up from the small hints we're given.

Clearly Claude is right, they aren't just bloodthirsty brutes like Fódlan thinks, but also, Claude talks about them trying to kill him as a kid for being part Fodlan and that is. Really fucked up. But worse, we're never told something else to balance it out. We just know they hated Claude, shunned him, and tried to assasinate him a few times, and are left with nothing else substantial about anyone outside of his parents and Nader (and even then we know jack shit akshs)

But since Claude himself speaks so honestly about how Fódlan has the wrong idea of Almyra - and all the important Almyran characters we meet are good - that obviously tells us that he's right - but then we are never told specifics! We're just left with "They hated me so much that I developed severe trust issuses and dont trust anybody and had to learn POISONS at a young age to defend myself- but they're good people I swear."

If they're good people (which i believe they are) than Claude or SOMEONE should've told tell us in clear examples, not in vague, beating around the bush sentences bc we can't know Claude's from Almyra. (even tho we figured it out when he and Cyril both say their home values wyvern riding pre-skip)

And by good people I dont mean that they all have to be goody two shoes, "murder bad" sort of folks, they're a warrior society and thats badass and I don't mind that! We fight in a war for goodness sakes im not here to judge them. What I mean, is I want to see what are the good, indepth parts of their society that made Claude look at them and decide "I want to help" Instead of hating them. We are given all the hints that theres so much more to Almyra- but they lead nowhere.

Honestly, it being decided that Claude is hiding the fact that he's Almyran for the ENTIRE GAME until the LITERAL END was a horrible decision bc he never gets to talk about Almyra openly because of it, having to dodge around the topic whenever its brought up and alluding to the fact thru small hints like how they celebrate after fights and their feasts - but thats all very bare stuff that isnt personal. Like yes, they honor fighting and celebrate battled whether they win or lose- interesting shit. Elite warriors fighting atop wyverns is fascinating and i love it. All those things are a large part of their culture- but it doesnt tell us enough. Claude isn't fighting for open borders between the countries bc Almyra throws great feasts- there has to be more to it but we. Aren't. Freaking. TOLD!! i can't even think of another thing to list that isnt related to fighting or their feasts and even those go together. Like, where's the personal accounts to help us understand Almyra outside of what we are shown at face value? Where are they?

The only other Almyran we can talk to for any signigicant length of time is Cyril, who shares Fódlans views on Almyra because he was a kid who lived in the seemingly shittily governed part of Almyra who was orphaned bc of Almyrans fighting and he blames the king for not watching out for them. (Which also brings into question wtf was has the king been doing? All that we know about him is that he opened up trade with Fódlan more than his dad did which hints that he wants to mend the gap between the countries, and ofc he married Claude's mom, but thats it. What has he been doing??) But anyway thats another rant.

Since Claude can't talk about the good parts of Almyra explicitely, bc that would give away that he's Almyran, and Nader is undercover when we meet him, we don't learn any personal accounts about Almyra besides second hand info from Hilda (who is biased) and Cyril (who was an orphaned kid who's scope of Almyra was tbh quite small) so we aren't given enough information to fill in the gaps between -> hating Claude -> Loyally following their new king Claude into battle to defend Fódlan, and it just leaves so many questions for me.

WHATS THE ALMYRA LORE?? WHATS BEEN HAPPENING IN ALMYRA?? WHAT CHANGED HAVE HAPPENED THERE SINCE CLAUDE WAS LAST THERE??

Of course I could be missing a few things I'll admit that, I haven't gotten all of Claude's supports so there could be some lines im missing - but as far as I can remember we just aren't told enough to have it make sense.

And theres so many ways they couldve made it understandable! Just a few lines from someone to help us have a little bit of a grasp on whats going on in Almyra would have done it.

Like, if Claude's mom has been working hard to change the general peoples view by being their queen for years and earning their respect - Boom, there it is! A concievable but brief explanation that tells us whats going on without having to go deep. Jay knew he was staring, knew he had been for several minutes, but he couldn’t tear his eyes away.

Across the lunch room, seated at a table occupied by his many friends and acquaintances, was Brian Thomas. He was just like a star in a dark night sky, lighting up the area around him like a beacon, drawing in smiles and giggles and playful conversation. Jay could pick up his laughter occasionally, even over the rumble of lunchroom chatter, and it made his heart flutter every time.

“He’s gonna catch you staring one of these days, you know.” Alex said pointedly, seated in front of him and waving one hand in front of his face while the other prodded a (cold, badly cooked) chicken patty with a fork.

Jay looked away quickly, turning instead to glare at his best friend.

“Don’t say that so loud!” He hissed, but it sounded more desperate than angry. He could tell he was blushing.

Alex smirked, rolling his eyes. “No one‘s gonna hear me.” He said. “We’re sitting alone and nobody pays attention to us anyway.”

It was true. Their friendship had been forged on the fact that no one else wanted to be friends with them because they were the “weird kids.” It had been a good bonding experience and all that but it still stung a little that the seats around them at lunch were always empty.

“Yea, but we still need to be careful.” Jay settled on saying anyway. “If Danny or Roger hears you saying I’m gay it’s all over.”

Danny was popular, handsome, the star football player in a town that cared way too much about even just middle school football. Roger was his best friend and trusty sidekick in the beating up of kids that didnt conform. Jay had been shoved around in the hallways a few times, sure, but if they found out he liked boys they’d make his life a living hell from now until he graduated high school.

Alex now gave him a sympathetic look, popping a bite of mashed potatoes into his mouth. “They won’t find out.” He said, sounding like he was making a promise, grinning as he swallowed his food. “You can count on me.” And his words would come across as mocking if his eyes didnt look a little sad.

It was Jay’s turn to roll his eyes, but he didn’t argue about it anymore.

Jay really and truly tried his hardest to listen in class most of the time, but with his internal gay crisis and his prevalent autistic traits it was a real struggle.

“Jay! Stop messing with your hat or you’ll have to take it off!”

“Jay, stop tapping on your desk! You’re distracting the class!”

“Jay I asked for an essay on the french revolution, not on your favorite type of camera.”

Okay, that last one had been a mix up. He’d written the camera essay on his own time and just handed in the wrong one. But still, these instances and the many others were embarrassing and othering and he hated that he couldn’t just be like everybody else. His classmates didn’t get yelled at for fidgeting too much. His classmates didn’t get picked on for talking weird. His classmates didn’t get laughed at for crying because of a really loud fire alarm.

The current predicament Jay was in, however, was nothing like the others. Was it worse? Better? He didn’t know but he sure wished it wasn’t happening.

Or rather, he wished he knew how to handle it.

You see, Jay had been personally given an invitation to Brian’s upcoming 13th birthday party by Brian himself. During end of the day homeroom while Jay was getting his stuff ready. Where everyone could see.

(“Hey Jay, I have something for you!” “Huh?” “My birthday’s coming up and this is an invite to the party!” “Oh, uh, thanks.”)

Was he not afraid of lowering his social standing? Did he not know that Jay was at the bottom of the middle school food chain? Was he making fun of him or taking pity on him?

All questions that were tormenting Jay as he sat on his bed after school and stared at the invitation, a small, folded piece of paper that was clearly hand made. It had gotten sweaty from Jay holding it too much.

On the front was a drawing of some balloons, a birthday cake, and some party hats. On the inside was a generic message that read: “You are formally invited to attend my 13th birthday party! I hope you can make it!” Followed by the address (his house) and date/time.

What was really getting him though was the short personalized message at the very bottom, something that Brian surely did for everyone who received an invitation but that still sent Jay’s heart soaring.

“Hey Jay!! We don’t talk much but I’d love it if you came to the party!! Maybe we can be friends?”

Jay clutched the paper to his chest and, for the first time since he’d gotten the invite, smiled.

The next morning at school breakfast, Jay asked Alex if he’d gotten an invite and tried to hide his disappointment when he said he had. Of course he wanted his best friend to be there, especially because he’d be lost with no one to hang out with, but a secret part of him hoped he was one of the elite few to be invited.

“What did your message say?” He asked after he’d spent a few seconds convincing himself that talking about Brian out loud wasn’t bad or wrong, especially if no one else was around to hear.

“Message?” Alex asked, clearly confused. “What do you mean?”

“At the bottom of the invite?” Jay supplied helpfully.

“I didn’t get one, man.” He took a drink of milk. “Are you saying you did?”

Jay’s face heated up, realizing the implications. This meant that not everyone got a special message from Brian, that he wasn’t just doing it because he did it for everybody else.

“Uh. Yea, I did.” He said, a bit sheepish. “Just something about how he wants to be friends.”

Alex smiled wide at him, something mischievous in his eyes. “That’s cool! I hope that works out.” And then he waggled his eyebrows suggestively.

“Ugh, stop it!” Jay said, embarrassed, but he couldn’t stop a part of him from being pleased at the whole situation.

per short, Vaughn didnt actually realised he fallen for them, but it was so obvious for others in Sanctuary, especially that they also started to live together in his house?

per long: (under read more, its an essay, forgive me)

first impressions werent the best with Nick, given that Vaughn was still angry and thirsty for revenge, but Nick still believed he is actually a good person, he just needs some guidance. after Nick saved his life in Glowing Sea, Vaughn realised that he must do a change, which what Nick all needed to hear, so he finally took his General role.

Nick stayed with Vaughn for like 3 weeks, watching him how he tries to earn the people’s trust and changed in a better person, but then he went back to his detective work, and not seeing Vaughn for weeks (which in that time Vaughn and Debbie joined the BOS and Danse joined them in Sanctuary)

but a few weeks later, Vaughn got hurt badly during a solo mission (was knocked out and tied and had his mouth cut by a raider) and felt so shocked by that, plus all the thoughts and feelings he had just crashed into his head, and had a bad relapse, being so depressed he basically needed help to do simple things. Debbie used Preston’s radio to contact Nick and get to Sanctuary, thinking that he was the one to deal with Vaughn in a bad time, maybe he could do it again.

Nick had a lot of patience with Vaughn, feeling so sorry how he felt, and even during a night when Vaughn had a nightmare, Nick relunctantly accepted his asking for sleeping with him. since then, they sleep together, as Vaughn really can get a better sleep for the first time since he is out of Vault, and Nick think it feels nice. do i need to mention that Vaughn got high once cause of painkillers and kissed Nick and none talked about it but thought about it a lot.

since then, Nick started to get more often in Sanctuary, their relationship got stronger in that time. they both have a lot of common and just enjoy each other’s company.

with Hancock, neither the first impression was so fine, and they didnt seen each other for a long time, only Hancock knew about the vault dweller from others. second time when they met, it was when Vaughn and the Minutemen took the Castle, and he offered to go in Goodneighbor to buy parts for the radio, so he took Dogmeat and went there, then heard that Bobbi No Nose can offer what he needs, so he agreed to help her out. Now, i changed the canon here too, as i know Vaughn wont accept to break into DC’s strongroom, as he knew that 1. Nick and Piper would hate to hear that and 2. how its like to hear that the General of Minutemen broke into the strongroom of DC? so i think Bobbi says she knew about a pre war bunker that has untouched supplies, so the event goes, then Vaughn basically gets scared seeing Fahrenheit, and even more hearing that its Hancock’s warehouse. he immediatly turned against Bobbi and told her to go. after that, Fahrenheit dragged Vaughn to Goodneighbor to go talk and explain to Hancock about this. Hancock wasnt even mad about this, he appreciated the sincerity, and made fun on how him and the dog stains his carpets with the mud and blood into his clothes and the dog’s fur. after talking, Hancock explains that he should not feel comfortable in his position and should go out, and Vaughn offered him the chance to help him in his Minutemen job.

they also bonded fast, having same bad humor, same sense of justice and Vaughn really loves Hancock’s spirit of adventure. he also gave Hancock a newly renovated home in Sanctuary, which later he shared with MacCready.

a while later, weeks?? one night, Hancock gets out the house cause he cant sleep, and sees Vaughn on the steps of his own house, and goes to talk with him. after a while, Vaughn stated that he cant sleep well cause Nick isnt with him, and Hancock said more in joke that he could be his cuddle buddy, but didnt expected to get a positive answer so....they just slept together. both had a better rest. when Nick was in Sanctuary, Vaughn just thought that they could just try to sleep together, which the other two thought its a bit crowded but didnt refused. a while later, Vaughn started to have sexual relationship with Hancock, and with Nick he occasionally make out.

over the months, between Minutemen work, and dealing with other duties for BOS and RR, and even Institute, Vaughn became overstressed about everything, and Nick and Hancock helped him out, by supporting him, taking decisions in his name for Minutemen or just being there for him. after the battle of Bunker Hill, when he helped the Institute (and didnt said anything to anyone, not even them two), he was banished from RR as an agent recognized him and Desdemona thought of him as a traitor, despite that Deacon and Debbie tried to explain his reasons. being so stressed, he even snapped at a scientist and nearly strangled them, earning him banishment from Institute and Shaun’s threat that he will kill him if he ever gets in the Institute’s way, and other hurtful things he said.

Vaughn fell in depression as he thought he failed everyone, even that Nick and Hancock tried to explain isnt his fault, he tried his best, but still not much result.

2 weeks later, the Sanctuary was attacked by the Institute, and even if a few ended up with just a few scratches, Vaughn was furious about, and he declared he must destroy the Institute, as other settlements are now in danger.

for getting in the Institute, there must be accessed in the sewers, which Nick and Hancock offered, as they said they dont need much air and wont be affected by the rads in the water. Vaughn was hesitating, but he had no other choice but to let them there. while he and some other companions and a few elite Minutemen waited, he couldnt stop thinkin of worst cases, but when they got in Institute, he was so relieved to see them ok and held them in his arms, forgetting for a few seconds for what they were there. they also needed to drag him from Shaun, as Vaughn tried to reason with him, but all he got back was just more insults and reasons how disappointed he was in his father, and wished he never had to release him from the Vault.

after the Institute, Vaughn basically needed days to sleep, as he was so exhausted, and only woke up to eat and go to bathroom, but he needed like 3 days of resting.

but then on 4th morning, he could hear laughter of the kid and the other two, so he got up and seen a image he never thought he will see: Nick and Hancock on the couch, with Oliver onto Nick’s lap, playing a board game with Codsworth, while Dogmeat and Hera watched them.while Vaughn was resting, they two took care of Oliver, already acting like dads to him.

and now, to get to your question (if you got reading this so far ily) and answer it: it felt in that moment that he really loves them so much, and its clear he cant choose between them, as both were so perfect for him. but when he confessed, you might ask?

Oliver asked his dad if he can call the other two ‘dads’, and also asked if he should call them differently, like Hancock is ‘papa’ and Nick ‘pops’ and Vaughn finally realised that he should talk with them about their relationship. he was too busy with everything, and forgot about his own self.

when he asked them if its ok to be lovers and to be together a family, they answered that they are already a family, and its kinda obvious their relationship is closer. also Nick and Hancock agreed that they both love Vaughn, he loves them equally, there is no reason to be jealous, and both can have a good life together as a family.

We personally like it when it has support as when it`s just left hanging loose it could look like a tent on you and you would have no structure or stability. I Saw It First Yellow D Ring Slogan Tape Belt: £4. So as I mentioned above a felt would help support the shirt dress and make it look more cute and stable. In case you have been sleeping your whole life you would know that the famous Off White yellow and black belt has become a worldwide hit recently with celebs and god knows who else wearing them. Even though the belt costs more then our lives, there is plenty of cheaper alternatives on the market and so we have found one right here from I Saw It First.

Buffalo Classic hi top chunky sole trainers in black: £166. Let`s make no mistake about it Jesy loves her Buffalo shoes, She has been seen wearing them a lot lately and I don`t think theres no stopping the girl wearing them. Even though they arent to everyone taste shoes like these have become a huge trend recently..The chunky, wide trainers have become a staple in many girls closets as we revist the 90s. However, if the price isnt to your taste then you could settle for a pair like these

PrettyLittleThing BLACK FLAT TOP BAKER BOY HAT: £10. If you wanted to accessorise the outfit or make it a bit more classic then why not add a baker boy hat. I would like to note these hats arent just for winter but they can be worn for summer too..So get some good use out of it. Do remember you can always take it off and you can still pull off a cute hairstyle underneath.

Topshop Black Striped Tube Socks: £3.50. For the oddest reason socks have also become a big trend again recently...Gone the days of having no socks or hiding your very own socks with your dogs face on them. Don`t be scared to get your socks out and have a little fun. If you`re like me and don`t like having bare feet in socks then socks are the way to go, They are also a great piece to accessorise your outfit with. I think we`re going for a sporty vibe with Jesy`s outfit here..Which we didn`t plan at all. If you didn`t like them then we have another alternative here

So if you have been following Jesy`s fashion recently and watching EatingWithLittleMix you would know Jesy often wears necklaces and sometimes she wears a statement necklace. Now recently in episode 2 of Eating With Little Mix she was wearing this...Egyptian queen gold statement necklace, She likes bold, edgy necklaces. So we went on a mission to find a bold and edgy necklace and we ended up with a scorpion which we think could do just as well.

MissGuided white seat belt buckle blazer mini dress: £40. Isnt this dress a beauty? Inspiration taken from a photo shoot when Perrie wore a purple asymmetric tux just like this one. These dresses have become so popular recently and do you know why? Yes it`s the seat belt and before you start no I do not know why seat belts have become so popular recently..You can find them on belts, dresses, skirts, tops, bags everywhere. I mean for a cheaper alternative you can always rip your dads seat belt out of his car and glue it onto your top, But I`m sure he won`t be very pleased with that. So it looks as though the seat belt trend won`t be going for a long time as I can well see this continuing into the festival season. Aside from the seat belt the dress altogether is a beauty, it`s asymmetric so it makes your legs look thinner. It`s in the style of a blazer or tux if you will giving it structure and stability. I wouldn`t mind snapping this one up for myself. 

MissGuided black pointed toe lace up barely there heels: £28. We couldn`t decide what shoes went with this dress so we went with them all so bare with me as we go along here. Heels, If you wanted to go for the classic, feminem look then heels are your answer..I chose lace up heels because I personally don`t like the look of bare feet or ankles, Lacing going up your leg gives it definition. You can also team these with black over the knee high boots making your legs look slim and sexy, Overall giving it a edgier and bolder look. Lastly, If you`re looking for some fun and want to promote your girl why not wear a pair of her Superga trainers?

With these earrings you can wear them if you wish, it`s your choice. We chose these sterling earrings from PrettyLittleThing. If you`re weary about the price the reason they are £18 is because they are sterling...Sterling costs a lot. They are also available in gold. 

ASOS DESIGN marble clutch bag with metal handle: £30. I hit the jackpot when I saw this. Searching for a similar bag to the Balenciaga tote she is often seen with I struggled until this beauty popped up on my screen and oh boy did I fangirl. I could`ve chosen this as a dupe for the Mango one she has but I decided not too..I dunno why. I was debating whether to include this one because it doesn`t look like a concert bag to me and it didn`t really go with the outfit but the more I think about it, the more it goes with the dress we suggested. This bag was too much to pass by and not show you guys. It`s marble effect with metal handle is just a purchase waiting to happen.

Jade is the type of girl that wears everything and anything and can make it look good. Jade has been seen over the years sporting bodycon dresses whether they are pink, black, red or any other colour. She seems to be embracing her figure more as she wears these on a daily basis nowadays. So we went for this one from Shein, Now it is important to note that due to Jade`s skin tone she shouldn`t be really wearing bright, vivid colours as it doesn`t suit her. Now do bare with us here...You either love these or loathe them, These Nike air force Hi top trainers are such a 90s staple popular among the basketball courts and now popular among the fashion elite. I have seen a lot of people wear these Nike hi tops lately with dresses and skirts, whether it`s casual or done up so this is nothing new...This is actually becoming a fast trend. River Island Black leather western block heel ankle boots: £75. We picked these boots as a alternative to the trainers in case you wasn`t feeling them and wanted to look a bit more classy. We chose these cowgirl boots for obvious reasons...Although the price may seem a little pricey do think of the investment you are making, Think of the wear you will be getting out of them and joy they could be bringing you.

ASOS Stradivarius studded western handbag in black: £10.50. How many times have I mentioned on this blog Jade loves a shoulder bag? Y`all should be familiar with her Prada, Guess, Versace and sugar cube by now. We picked this one up because it went with the cowgirl style we are opting for. So if you wanted a place to keep your pepper spray and chewing gum in case another cowgirl comes in and tries and steals your man then heres the answer.

I love hats like these with wavy long hair. I just think hats like this most of the time make the look which is why I include them in every inspired I do.

So we took a simple denim jacket whether it`s blue, black or white it works and teamed it with this outfit, A slight chill in the air or a raindrop and your night could be ruined because you didn`t bring a jacket, Did I mention this is so versatile...Rain proof, Cold proof, boy proof if you`re lucky. A denim jacket would go with anything and everything so make sure you get good use out of it whilst you can. We picked this jacket because our outfit is all black and we wanted to add a bit more colour and depth.

However, If you`re not ready to venture out yet then we have the perfect alternative for you in the form of skinny black jeans. Yes the classic black skinny jean that goes with anything..We found these ones from ASOS and these ripped ones. We made sure that either of the jeans fitted peoples specifications..So we made sure they werent tight or jeggings (No one likes jeggings), high waisted and compliments a womens figure. Either one goes with the bralet we have also chosen.

Puma Basket Classic White Trainers: £65. When you go to concerts you never estimate how long you would be standing for and at the end of the night you see girls carrying their shoes to the car as they walk the cold streets bare foot..Do you want to be that kind of girl? Of course not you want to be comfortable and have fun and not having misery or pain that heels bring. So we chose these one from Puma for £65..Leigh and Jade are big fans of Puma trainers so this is nothing new. However, If you wanted to invest in your shoes a little more then we have a great pair from Ted Baker here

Topshop Amour Layered Necklace: £7.25. So this is when we come to the part where it is totally up to you whether you want to add accessories either layering it up, or layering it down. We decided to include this necklace as it`s great for accessorising and covering a bare chest..Layered necklaces have become a big trend over the last few years and I hope to see them remain popular for the foreseeable future.

Topshop Rose Gold Flat Hoop Earrings: £5. Wouldn`t be a post without hoops, Leigh loves a hoop earring and it`s very rare that you see her without them so we had to includ them. We chose rose gold earrings because we know girls love the colour..They die for it, As I mentioned before rose gold is a very popular colour not just among jewellery but on phones, cosmetics, furniture, decor the list is endless. Every girl needs a little rose gold in their life.

In & out | 1997 | America | by Frank Oz | PLOT: Very soft romantic comedy. Howard Brackett is an English literature teacher, living a quiet life in the fictional town in Indiana, with his fiancée Emily. The town is filled with anticipation over the nomination of Howard's former student Cameron in the Best Actor category at the Academy Awards for his portrayal of a gay soldier. Cameron does indeed win the award and, in his acceptance speech, thanks Howard, adding, "and he's gay." Scary Movie | 2000 | America | by Wayans brothers | that movie is a pearl of my childhoods 😂 this a parody of a horror movie called Scream (full of gay tension not intentional) in this movies otherwise are very explicit gay characters and a surprise ending. PLOT: An 18 yo girl named Drew receives a threatening phone call while home alone one night. Drew is chased outside by Ghostface, who stabs her. The following day, Cindy meets up with her boyfriend Bobby and her friends, Brenda, Ray, Greg and Buffy. Various news teams, including hack reporter Gail, converge on the school in the wake of Drew's murder. Gail hooks up with Buffy's intellectually disabled brother Special Officer Doofy, hoping to milk the facts out of him. While Cindy is in class, she receives a note reading: "I Know What You Did Last Halloween!". Amazing movie. The gays don't have a properly good ending but .. complicated issue.

Ahh Alex. He is aggressive and territorial. He isnt Angry the way Micheal is but he is more violent. He was the part of me that couldnt remember fighting back against bullies, the part which would lash out in violence against anyone who mistreated me. He was dangerous and volitile in school but he had reasons to be. He changed as I got older... now he is more of a gatekeeper. He protects the people i trust... deciding who is "Pack" and who isnt. If he doesnt accept you then I dont trust you. I dont have many in my circle but he is the one who holds the guest list. If you arent in the circle then Alex lets Micheal have you.

Ever since Micheal became violent he has been fighting against being classified with the rest. He hates being "Just another voice" he believes he is THE voice and the others should serve him. I like Micheal alot... he is one i rely on and consider one of my closest allies because he has the strength to drown out the others when i need him to... but god he can be a self important dick sometimes.

Raven. I dont talk about her much. Micheal is angry and Alex is Violent but Raven enjoys it. Raven wants to inflict pain not for revenge or to protect me... she wants to inflict pain because she enjoys it. She loves the idea of having power over another person and being able to control the difference between their pleasure and their pain. finding out just what it would take to push someone to the point where the carress of fingertips and the carress of a blade provoke the same reaction... be it screams or moans. Raven came to being during a time in my life when all i did was suffer... and when all you do is suffer you find ways to enjoy even that.
