when you first joined the crew it irked you that luffy, your captain, the strongest in the crew, didn’t have any sturdy shoes that he could fight with properly without fucking up his feet.

every time you docked at a new island you tried to convince him of buying proper shoes

to no avail

“why would i buy new shoes? these are perfectly fine!” he would shrug smiling

they weren’t.

you thought this was going anywhere? no. luffy is incredibly stubborn once he’s made up his mind about something.

in the beginning you thought that maybe they had a sentimental meaning to him. so you asked him.

but apparently he found them at the shore of the island back home

you wouldn’t be so bothered if you hadn’t seen him slip through the damn slippers donzens of times already, hurting his feet.

not to mention that flip flops are summer shoes and his feet literally turn blue in cold environments like the winter side of punk hazard.

honestly you find it shocking that none of the other members have said anything about it yet

both your and his feet’s suffering came to an end when the two of you started being a thing

you quickly realized that luffy couldn’t really resist you

and he does about anything you ask of him

so you asked him to get proper shoes. all he did was pout. but he let you get him proper shoes to make you happy

ive been thinking about why i cant handle chil being mean to laios in fics when i like making laios darker than he is in canon, but i think it ultimately comes down to the fact that i think chil is a deeply kind character. like u scratch off the layers of abrasiveness and theres genuine kindness underneath, shown only to those he trusts. meanwhile laios is a deeply kind person, but i like to think he has some darkness deep in his soul…idk chil can be an asshole but i dont personally see him as being able to be truly cruel to someone he cares about, while laios is well intentioned but can do some fucked up things without even meaning to do harm. i like it when characters are foils i think its very fun

Elizabeth isn't the woman Zach cheated with.

First off the features don't match up.

Zach has brown hair, Elizabeth has blue hair and Ein has black hair. It's canon that the blue in Ein's hair is all purely dyed. So him having blue parts in his hair doesn't make him related to Elizabeth. The eyes also don't match up. As Elizabeth has a medium blue eyes, Zach dark brown and Ein light gray (sometimes medium gray too it dependson the season but whatever)

Second off the timeline doesn't match up.

Ein is older than Kacey. So if Ein was born and very clearly not Eric's child (a werewolf, black hair and a whole different skintone). Then why wouldn't their marriage be in shambles? They were fine, fine enough to get Kacey. How would Elizabeth go about having an affair baby without it being noticed. And why would Eric just directly get a kid with her anyway just after that?

She also talked to Zach (while referring to Ein) about HIS kid. Not THEIR kid.

Oh okay these are all really strong points. I just remember that the biggest fandom theory was Elizabeth being the mom and like. Didn't really think about it.

I guess that theory was more for tying up loose ends together (why Elizabeth left her family, Zack's affair, all the adults' weird connection to each other) rather than like super solid evidence.

absolutely struggling to find a chara design for fem sinner Adam bc I just... can't figure out a body type

like canonically I guess Adam's supposed to be a little fat but I think it's mostly due to his robes? I mean look at those skinny arms there is no body fat or muscle on that, I think the robes really makes him look bigger than he actually is

and I guess as a sinner their clothes would be a little more revealing? I mean I don't really see the point of making a new chara design if it's to keep the same clothes y'know, so anyway point is, I kinda need to have a rough idea of what I want her body to look like

skinny is the to-go for the Hellaverse but I do see that as a flaw, so I would prefer not to do that too much, and also Adam is so round, that's cute, I want to keep that

Like. Mixed ppl exist. Hispanic/Latino ppl with light skin exist (like me). Asian ppl exist also. Black ppl can have lighter skin too. Like literally any poc can be a wide range of skin tones. Just bc they're pale doesn't mean they're White

It's probably mostly just jokes and I'm overreacting a little bit but y'know it just looks like ppl are assuming he's Just White when the artists don't say otherwise even tho that might not actually be the artists' intent. Long ramble about confidence, insecurity, and Lavernius Tucker :]

It's very important to me that people realise the traits "Confident" and "insecure" can coexist because I see a lot of people thinking of them as either polar opposites or a one or the other kind of deal, which is not true. This is especially important in relation to how Tucker is written as a character, especially in fan fic.

(also, I've had this take in my brain for a while, so it's gonna be a long one; it also might be a slightly warm take on his character? idk, we'll find out.)

Tucker often gets this lack of nuance in his confidence/insecurity because a lot of the time, I get the vibe from fics and authors that they interpret ALL of the confidence as false, that all of it is a mask, and none of it is anything real or something he just naturally has? believes.

Now, I'm speaking as someone who is confident, has high self-esteem, is self-assured, etc, who is ALSO insecure, at the same time. I hold a high opinion of myself and think I'm pretty cool, but I also am deeply insecure about things like my intelligence and my skills, and those two things DO NOT cancel each other out. If anything, they enhance each other; I do not shyly or meekly go, "I don't think I'm smart, so I act confident to mask it". I rather loudly or confidently go ",I'm an idiot! :D", and I laugh about it.

I think if you want to write about Tucker getting defensive and the bravado being a shield (because it's an important and interesting part of his character), a good way to do it is to write it into his humour because realistically? Most people laugh in the face of their own tragedy; we spin it into a joke we can point and jeer at. It makes it easier to talk about, and I feel like that's something I see in Tucker a lot.

Mostly, I just want to see people letting Tucker be confident and sure of himself while also letting him have his moments of doubt (especially in post-s13 fics) because that man is cool! He is funny, strong, capable, kind and sometimes a little charming/endearing, and he should be allowed to think that about himself while also being insecure and doubtful of his abilities!!! Let him be more than onesided confidence and boasting!!!
