Ghost eats a lot. He has to if he wants to keep his huge physique and the demand of being able to carry almost a hundred pounds of gear at minimum and have the strength to fight his foes with the precise speed he canonically has in hand to hand as well as running as fast as fcking Captain America??
We have seen this man run through that forest in that one video??? Iykyk.
Yeah, I’m sorry to say but that man is PACKING away food like a damn horse. There’s no way that man starves himself. That’s a motherfucker who has the appetite to compete with a fucking Hobbit. He’s got a special diet of five meals per day💀

Everything is blue
Connor didn't like the colour blue. He didn't like the way the blue triangle glowed on his jacket. He didn't like the way blue blood looked on his hands, when he was too late to save someone. He didn't like how it was everything he could see now.
Sometimes he tried to remember what the world had looked like, when it was still full of colours. But no matter, how hard he tried, he couldn't. As if it had been wiped from his memory.
Humans saw the world like this all the time, he knew. Some died, never knowing what it could have looked like. The thought made him sad and he couldn't help but yearn.
His soulmate. All he had to do was find his soulmate and kiss them. Such an easy task.
Connor wasn't even sure if he knew what love was. Sure, it took him less than a second to look up definitions, but people kept telling him he couldn't figure out love with definitions and checklists. He wasn't sure what else to do.
A few months ago, nobody would have even believed that androids could be alive. But now here they were, a new species, trying to be equal to humans.
Since becoming deviant so many things had changed for Connor. He could feel so many things now. Somehow that still hadn't gotten any less confusing.
It was hard, thinking you're nothing more than a machine and then one day waking up and realizing you're something else entirely.
And now they knew that androids could also have soulmates.
Connor couldn't help but wonder, who his was. Would they be an android? A human?
Markus had said, he had known the very second he had met Simon.
Connor wondered if he'd have the same thing happening. Or if he perhaps had already met his soulmate?
As if suddenly having feelings hadn't been confusing enough, now he found himself worried about this too.
A look at his internal clock told him his lunch break was almost over. He got up and went back to work.
Connor sat down at his desk across from Lieutenant Anderson, or Hank, as he was supposed to call him now.
They worked on filling out some paperwork about their last case in silence.
It didn't take Connor very long to be done. He spent a minute or two staring at his desk, before deciding to engage in some conversation with his friend.
“Hank? Can I ask -”
“A personal question? Sure, go ahead.”
Hank looked up from his paperwork and smiled at Connor. Connor could his thirium pump beating slightly faster. Confused, he ran a quick scan. Nothing out of order. Odd. He went back to his conversation with Hank.
"Have you met your soulmate yet?”, he asked.
“What the fuck, Connor?”
“I apologise if the question was too personal.”
Hank snorted.
“It’s fine, kid. And no, I haven't.”
Connor nodded, lost in thought.
“Why you're asking?”
“I - I used to be able to see colours. But since becoming deviant - I don't know, I just wanna know what the world actually looks like again.”
Hank eyed him curiously.
“Huh. Didn't know androids could have soulmates.”
“Markus’ soulmate is Simon, apparently. I have no idea who mine could be, trough.”
Hank looked at him thoughtfully.
"Well, you're just gonna have to be patient. A lot of us never find that person, you know.”
“I know, but - aren't you the least bit curious?”
“Sure. But honestly I feel sorry for the fucker that ends up with me as a soulmate.”
Connor reached out and patted the man's arm reassuringly.
“You're not as bad as you think you are, Hank.”
Hank scoffed.
“Whatever.”
Connor smiled.
“What colour do you see, Lieutenant?”
“Brown”, he mumbled.
“What does brown look like?”
“I don't know, Connor. Probably better you ask someone else. I suck at describing this.”
“But I wanna know what it looks like to you”, he insisted.
Hank sighed and seemed to think for a moment.
“Warm”, he finally said.
Connor smiled.
“What colour do you see?”
“Blue.”
“How fitting for an android.”
“I think I don't like the colour for that very reason.”
Hank shrugged.
“I'm sure you'll feel differently when you meet that person.
Also, you should go visit the ocean some time. I’ve heard it looks pretty nice in colour.”
Connor nodded and made a mental notice for him to do so sometime soon.
Hank was about to get back to his paperwork, as Connor said something once again.
"Wanna go with me?”
“What? Why?”
Connor shrugged.
“I’ve never had a vacation before and we don't have any open cases. Some time off might be nice for both of us.”
“Fine”, Hank mumbled.
A second later Connor was on his way to Fowler’s office to request some time off.
At the same time on Friday, Connor was standing in Hank’s living room while waiting for the man to finish packing.
Sumo nudged against his leg and Connor reached a hand down to pet the dog.
Hank came back into the living room.
Connor looked up. The Lieutenant was dressed in some loose pants and an old band shirt. He looked way more relaxed than Connor had ever seen him. Hank smiled at him and he could feel his thirium pump beating faster. Nervous, he smiled back.
They walked to Hank’s car. Connor put Hank’s luggage into the trunk and let Sumo onto the backseat.
He got into the passenger seat next to Hank.
His friend turned on the radio and turned up the music loudly. They started driving, and Connor looked outside the window.
It only took a few hours for them to arrive at their location. It was a small motel in which Connor had booked them a room.
He unloaded Hank’s trunk and put down some food and water for Sumo.
Hank sat down on the bed. Connor looked at him.
“Do you wanna eat anything?”
Hank shrugged.
“Sure.”
“There's a bistro a few streets away, that's apparently quite nice.”
“How did you - oh, right. Computer brain. Sometimes I forget.”
“Does it still bother you?”, Connor asked before he could stop himself.
Hank shook his head.
“Fuck, no. I don't care you're not human, Con. You're still more alive than most humans I’ve met.”
Hank got up and smiled at him.
“Come on, let's go, I’m starving.”
After Hank had been well fed - he’d also agreed the bistro was nice - and they had taken Sumo on a short walk, they made their way to the beach.
They walked side by side, until the finally reached the beach.
Hank put down a towel and they both sat down.
“So, what do you think? Like blue now?”
Connor looked at the ocean.
The waves came back and forth, the sun was close to setting.
The water was blue. It looked beautiful. He turned his head back and looked into Hank’s eyes. Blue." Yeah, I think I do.”
Connor leaned a little closer. He could hear Hank’s heart beating faster.Could feel his own beating faster.
He thought back to Markus telling him he had just known that Simon was his soulmate. In that moment he didn't have a shadow of a doubt.Hank was his soulmate. Connor pressed his lips against Hank’s and kissed him slowly. For a moment it seemed as if time had stopped.Connor wasn't sure how long he had been kissing Hank for, only stopping as the other man needed a break to breathe. He looked around and suddenly the world looked different. The sunset was even more beautiful like this. Everything around Connor looked colorful.
Wow”, he mumbled, as he looked back at Hank.“Yeah”, the other man agreed. Connor smiled and got back to kissing Hank. He buried his hand in Hank’s hair, pulling him closer. Hank had his hands around Connor’s waist, their kisses were becoming more heated.
Connor began taking off Hank’s shirt, as he was interrupted by him. “Connor - It's just - you should probably know that - I’m trans”, he mumbled, sounding nervous. Connor smiled at him reassuringly. “Alright”, was all he said, before getting back to kissing Hank. “You sure? I understand if you don't -”, he heard Hank. Insecure.
“You're handsome. And strong. And kind, even if it's sometimes hard for you to show. There's not anything about you I could not love”, Connor said. Hank smiled at him. “Alright."
Connor got back to kissing Hank, never having felt as whole as he did in this moment.
Hank was his soulmate.
There wasn't anyone else he'd rather have it be.

hi :D i've been reading your bubbline rants and omg, i 100% agree on everything you say.i love really long post and analisis about my ships so thank you so much!
Hi there! Thank you for the kind words and sorry to have kept you waiting. I just realized after reading your message that I really haven’t written all that much about “Sky Witch”. Well, I talked about briefly here and there plus the Season 5.2 review, but mostly I just focused on other Bubbline episodes. Let’s fix that, shall we? And btw feel free to ask me to rant about anything, I live for these.
“Sky Witch” is an interesting one since in some ways it’s the first Bubbline episode, in some ways it’s the second and you could also consider it to be a simple prologue. “Sky Witch” arrived two years after “What Was Missing” and broke the radio silence surrounding Bubbline that came after the controversy, so you could look at it as a definitive move that said: “yes, we are going to explore this, here you are, finally”. But then again, it wasn’t that definitive, was it? It took another two years to get “Varmints” and things only picked up from there. Only, there were smaller moments between Marcy and PB throughout the remaining of Season 5 and 6, so in a way, we got way more after “Sky Witch” than we did before.
It’s just strange to think about it because back in 2013 it was such a miracle that we were focusing on this aspect of the show once again, even if for only an episode, and this came around the time of that messy Olivia Olson confirmation and the tweet as well. Back in 2013, “Sky Witch” may as well have been confirmation of Bubbline itself, but looking back now it was only the beginning of a journey that’s still not over yet. Personally, I remember being quite excited for “Sky Witch” since it was the first fresh Bubline episode I got, the first one I watched when it first aired. It was more than I expected but at the same time, it was a bit disappointing, maybe because I was viewing things solely from Marceline’s perspective back in the day and this is PB’s episode.
Make no mistake, I still adore “Sky Witch”. Compared to the excitement of “What Was Missing”’s introduction to this relationship and the absolute perfection that is “Varmints” it somehow seems less significant, but it’s not. “Sky Witch” presents us with an awkward yet hopeful kind of dynamic between Bubblegum and Marceline. There isn’t as much tension as there was before but there’s a clear sense of discomfort. They are speaking again and Marceline actively seeks out PB’s help, but there’s an awkward, unspoken question hanging in the air as the two interact. Does this mean they are friends again? Are they over their past differences? What does this mean for the future? Though I wouldn’t exactly call any Bubbline episode subtle with its intentions, “Sky Witch” is definitely the one with the most underlying themes of a relationship and it’s so damn smart about it.
Of course, when talking about “Sky Witch” the first thing that pops into my mind The ShirtTM. Not only it’s an object that connects “What Was Missing” to this episode, but its significance is increased tenfold by the end of it. This is one of the reasons why I say that “What Was Missing” is more from Marcy’s perspective and “Sky Witch” updates the story with Bonnie - and then “Varmints” brings it all together and puts an end to the initial conflict. If you look at “What Was Missing”, you see Marcy being upset and get the idea that the two have some kind of a previous relationship that clearly ended badly, but the only hint towards PB still having feelings about is the very end with The ShirtTM. Now “Sky Witch” builds on that, it literally starts out with Bonnie wearing it just like she said she would. She spends the episode trying to help Marceline and is damn efficient about it too. She completes the mission no matter what and is there to balance Marcy’s extreme emotional state out with her rationality. She also happens to give up the very shirt that she’s been holding onto just to help Marceline.
Sometimes I’m just casually thinking about how much I love AT and all the great storylines and then “Sky Witch” and The ShirtTM just hit me in the face. Everything about the last minutes is just perfect (well, excluding Maja’s abuse of her servant which is actually quite morbid and sad, but that’s not part of the Bubbline aspect). The way we don’t know at first what Bonnie has done to get Hambo back, the way they escape together, and then the way the truth is revealed. More than that, the fact that Maja explicitly states that the shirt (okay I’ll stop with the TM) has much more “psychic resonance” than Hambo. I mean, holy shit, do you ever just think about? After “I Remember You” and “Simon & Marcy” Maja just casually shows up and declares that the shirt is even better than Hambo. Holy shit, the implications.
The way AT wikia still tries to justify this as the shirt only being fresher and not actually more important still earns a bitter laugh from me every time. Just like with every other Bubbline moment: sure, you can pretend it’s not gay, but why bother (although less and less so with recent episodes, see every other ask I got). So yeah, this is the final confirmation of Marcy still meaning just as much to Bonnie as the other way around, if not even more so. But like I said, “Sky Witch” is more than just this beautiful scene with so many implications. It’s also a whole episode of a beautiful, changing dynamic that’s so underappreciated even by me. I’m really grateful for this question because it made me think a lot about why “Sky Witch” is so important.
No, it’s not just the shirt. That’s still incredible and blows my mind every time, but the rest of the episode is just as powerful. It’s especially fun now, having seen Season 7, to go back and watch “Sky Witch”. As I said, they are over the initial “long time no see still mad at you btw” but still not at a stage where they could openly talk about what happened. Marcy’s invitation doubles in two ways: she genuinely wants to hang out with Bonnie and knows that she needs her help in order to find Hambo. She’s masking both desires with the other one because these are genuine feelings and Marceline is still not the best at those. So she says she wants to hang out in a half-hearted way only to admit that she needs help, but she can’t fully admit she needs help either so she’s masking that with the real desire to hang out. Makes sense? I don’t know. But it’s beautifully complicated. And Bonnie goes along because she’s pre-Season 6 breakdown and still believes she can have it all.
Thanks for making me realize that I actually really love the awkwardness of “Sky Witch”. These dorks are not 100% comfortable and don’t know how to act but they try. By the end, they reach a new level where they are more likely to just hang out and aren’t hostile anymore, as seen in “Red Starved” and “Princess Day”. It absolutely paves the way to “Varmints”. And as one last thing, going back to the shirt: isn’t the symbolism behind both Hambo and the shirt beautiful? Bonnie lets go of the shirt in this episode, which was quite likely her only connection to Marceline for a long time but in return, she gets Marcy herself back. Marceline gets Hambo back, but later sacrifices him when she sees Simon himself once again. Oh, objects of great emotional significance.

Giving love a shot part 49
◇☆Jay’s Views☆◇
Normally I would know how to make her feel better, but right now I got nothing. I have one angry bride next to me, and I have no idea what to do or tell her.
Jae has a penthouse, that room is…. honestly I know it does not cost a penny. Kicking off her heels as soon as she walks in and throws herself on the bed
Jay: *lay next to her*
Like that she fell asleep. As much as I want to let her be, she can’t sleep with that corset or whatever she has on.
How tight was this thing on her? How did she even leave it on for that long?
Jay:*looking at all the red mark’s on her* that’s gotta hurt. *sigh* the things women go through.
After cleaning her up, changed her clothes now I’m just starring at her. I’m now married to Jaeha. Can you even believe this?
As creepy as it sounds I couldn’t get a lick of sleep. I spent the rest of the night reliving the night. Seeing her coming down the aisle, our vows, the I do’s, and best of all the lap dance.
Before I knew it, it was day, and it's pouring rain like crazy. The worst part is that it doesn’t look like it's going to stop…at all. I guess we were too busy with the whole wedding to focus or care about anything on the news.
While Jaeha still sleeping, I meet up with everyone down for breakfast.
Joon: where’s your other half?
Jay: pissed off, still sleeping
Jimin: why?
Jay: we were suppose to leave last night, but due to the weather we can't fly to anywhere…at all, heck I don’t think we can even get out of this hotel.
Byul: that’s gotta be sucks
Yori: tell me about it, she already think that she has a curse.
Gray: good morning Byul
Byul: morning
Ailee: that's the only person sitting here?
Gray: okay, good morning everyone
All: *stays quiet*
Yori: anyways
Mark: so what are we supposed to do now?
Joon: it’s not like we can get out of place anyways, we live far from here.
Eric: I doubt she’s coming out of her room.
Chacha: can’t you guys do anything?
Loco: yeah like cheer her up or something
Jimin: I wouldn't wanna be cheered up, I’d wanna get out of here.
Simon: so that's a no from you?
Jimin: yup,
Loco:*looks at Yori*
Yori: nope
Ailee: do not look at me sir Malone *swiping left and right on her phone*
Joon: that Mark’s job to tame the incredible Hulk
Mark: my job was over the second she said I do
Jay: riiight
Joon: try saying that to her face
Yori: oh no
Eric: what?
Jimin: creep one and creep two
Simon: who?
Ailee: Jaeha’s cousin
Chacha: why’d you guys call them creep?
Yori: you’ll see as soon as they start talking
Creep1: hello
*crickets sounds*
Jay: hey
I’m just gonna keep the peace.
Creep2: where’s Jaeha?
Jay: she’s sleeping
Creep 1: what kind of wife still sleeping at this time?
Creep2: shouldn’t she be up by now?
Jay: Jaeha had a long night, I rather her sleeping, hopefully she wakes up in a better mood.
Creep 2: I see
Even after a few minutes the tension is still high over here.
Creep1: so are you guys gonna have kids soon?
Jay: uh I’m not sure, we haven't discuss this yet?
Creep1: discuss? You’re the guy, shouldn’t you have a say in this?
Jay: I do have a say, but that take two people. I’m not going to force her to do anything she doesn’t want to. Our relationship doesn’t work that way.
Gosh they are creepy. Where’s Jaejae?
*seconds later she walks down with both her parents*
Thank God…
Jae: good morning guys. *wearing a two piece soft pink jogger and a crop white shirt, pink and white Adidas*
Jay: good morning, feeling better?
Jae: *sitting next to him, and lean on his shoulder* mhhm *sigh* Why is it still raining?
Mark: Jaeha I don’t think we’re going to leave this place anytime soon.
Eric: I guess we should just make the best of it.
Jae: it’s not like there’s anything to do here, is there?
Joon: well, there’s a Casino, like 5 restaurants, an indoor pool, bars, and many other stuff.
Jae: You know all of this how?
Joon: well..
Jae:*raise her brows*
Joon: I couldn’t sleep last night
Jae: *still looking at him*
Joon: shut up
Jae: exactly.
Jay: what do you want to eat?
Jae: what’s Good here?
After We all eat, we all just went to walk around in the hotel. We live 5 hours from the hotel, it’s not like we can take the chance, if we get stuck, it’ll be worst might as well stay here.
All the guests from the wedding who were staying for the night at the hotel are still here. But I can’t help but to worry about Byul. Will she be okay if we’re stuck here for a week?, she’s paying for her room and her parent’s.
*walking around the hotel hand in hand*
Jay: babe?
Jae: mhm
Jay: you think Byul’s gonna be okay? You know if we get stuck here for a week, this hotel is quite pricy.
Jae: I totally forgot about that, remind me to talk to her later.
Jay: are we going to talk about it?
Jae: talk about What? That you an I are both cursed? That nothing ever goes right for us no matter how hard we try? Yeah I rather not talk about it.
Jay: can you stop saying that? We’re not cursed.
Jae: well how come things never goes right?
Jay: because nothing good in life comes easy, you should know this by now.
Jae: but why us? We’ve been struggling for too long. Can’t we at least get a break? Are we in some kind of forbidden love this of thing?
Jay:*smiles, pulls her close and kisses her temple* we’ll be fine. We always made it out, right?
Jae:*sigh* I know
Jay: we’re The Park’s, and we can make it out of anything.
Jae: you’re the cheesiest guy I’ve ever met in my life.
Jay: I know, let's go Mrs.Park.
With everyone together, she tries her best to not kill the mood, but I know that she’s very disappointed.
Elo: so what are you going to do?
Jay: about what?
Elo: your honeymoon of course
Jay: What can we do? We're all stuck here. We live five hours from here, if we get stuck in the middle of a flood.
Simon: where’s the rain coming from anyways? Wasn’t everything fine all week? I didn’t anything about weather change.
Gray: mother nature must be on her period.
Jae:*walks towards them* hey guys
All: Mrs.Park
Jae: oh boy.
Jay: what’s up?
Jae: nothing, just letting you know that I’m going up.
Jay: tired?
Jae: no, bored
Jay: I think being alone in a room won’t make it better.
Jae: I’m going up to read
Jay: book?
Jae: tablet
Jay: oh
Jae: yeah, so you guys have fun
Jay: Jae I’m sorry -
Jae: babe I’m fine okay, I’m alright. I’ll see you later. *smiles at him*
Jay: okay *watches her walking in defeats*
*8hours later*
*Jae’s views*
I guess I fell asleep, looking outside it’s dark outside. Looking around, Jay’s on the couch on his phone.
Jae: *turns to her side and start starring at him*
So that’s how’s I’m spending my first week of marriage? Stuck in a hotel.
Jae:*stomach growls*
Oh right I’ve been up here since 1PM, I think I missed both lunch and dinner. Jay looks like he’s in peace, I’m just going to stay like this until he sleep-
Jae:*stomach groooooowls*
I’m dying here.
Jae:*closes her eyes as soon her turns around*
Jay: hey are you awake?
Jae:….
Jay: I guess she’s still out
Jae:*GROWLS LOUDER* I’m starving
Jay: *lol* of course you are, you slept all day
Jae: why didnt you wake me up?
Jay: cause you specifically texted me and say “Do not wake me up”. Do you want me to order you something?
Jae: can we go try the restaurants downstairs?
Jay: if you want to.
We went downstairs, we were finally able to be alone.
Jae: so what Now?
Jay: what do you mean?
Jae:*sigh* nothing
Jay: look I know that things aren’t going as you plan-
Jae: nothing ever does
Jay: anyway, maybe it happens for a reason. It’s not going to rain forever- *looks at Jae who’s distracted looking at a pregnant couple with a toddler *
Jae: *looks at the family smiling*
I wonder if we’ll be like. Two girls would be good. Dressing up like mommy.
Jay:*taps the table* it’s not polite to stare
Jae: I know but they’re just so cute. I wonder how she wear these flat? I really don’t think I can.
Jay: you will
Jae: have you seen my closet? I do not own a single pair of flats, or sandals. I wear heels, boots, and sneakers.
Jay: well when you are pregnant, I’m taking you shopping.
We stayed up late, just talking I guess. It’s not like there’s much to do. Maybe this isn’t bad after all, we stayed in a very luxurious hotel, I guess it would’ve been worst of it was just the two of us.
*next morning*
Since it rained for two days straight, we didn’t bother close the windows. Waking up this morning, I feel like I was dying, with the heat on my face
Jae:*blink blink, gasp* sun? SUN? It’s sunny outside.*jumps on the bed*
Jay: please stop.
Jae: *still hopping on the bed*
Jay: YAH!! STOP
Jae:*falls on top of him*
Jay:*groans in pain*
Jae: come on wake up *drags him out of the bed*
Jay:*finds himself in the elevator half of sleep*
Meeting up at their reserved dinning room. I was so excited to get out of this hotel, I forget about how I was looking, everyone in there was looking decent.
All: *freezes and looks at them*
Joon: told you guys she was going to be happy.
Mark: a little too happy if you ask me. Look at how she dress.
I wasn’t scared until my eyes landed on my parents.
Jae:*hides behind Jay who’s still processing the situation* uhm, we stayed up late, and maybe had a bit too much to drink last night. I apologize for interrupting your breakfast. *backs away with her behind his back*
Despite what happened, I’m still in a great mood. Back to our room, Jaebum went straight to the bed. I’m gonna give him till I’m done getting ready.
*hour later*
◇~Jay’s views~ ◇
Jae:*walks out of the bathroom singing Jay’s Joah while getting dress*
Jay:*sitting down with his hand under his chin*
I really wish she would stop now.
Jae:*walks towards him* JOAH!!
Jay: babe can we please-
Jae: ALL I WANNA DOOOOOO IS KICK IT WITH YOUUUUU-
Jay:*covers her mouth*
Jae:*muffling*
Jay:*sigh* okay you win.
*2hours later*
We all simply got dress and get out of the hotel. Standing outsite its like a car show the vallet bringing out their cars.
Joon: hey Jaejae you driving?
Jae: yea
Joon: I’m ridding with you
Jae: why? Who did you come with?
Joon: we came with Jimin
Jae: then go back with her
Eric: I’m not spending another, 6hours on the road
Joon: you’ll get us home in half of that.
Jae: okay then , I’ll just go talk to Jay for a second.
….
Jay: you’re not going to speed are you ?
Jae: can’t promise that
Jay: Jaeha-
Jae: I’ll be careful, B you want to ride with me? I have one more seat.
Byul: uhm as much as I wanna get home, I just ate and ridding with you is like a rollercoaster.
Jae: okay, Yori-
Yori: I know I know, i’ll make sure she get home okay.
Jae: well, we’ll see you guys home
Told everyone bye, and start my engine.
Jae: buckle up guys.
*2hrs and 45minutes later*
We made it to our city. Now I’m starving, I want to wait until the others get here, but I’m starving.
*In restaurant*
Joon: how was your first night of marriage?
Jae: depressing
Eric: horrible sex?
Jae: eww no, I slept
Mark: what?
Joon: what you mean you slept?
Jae: I was angry and I went straight to sleep the second I got in the room. I don’t even remember changing.
Eric: and the second-
Jae: look Jay and I had sex two or maybe three weeks before the wedding, if that's what you guys are trying to ask.
Joon: Jaeha
Jae: it was suck that I tried to prepare for the perfect weeding, but in the end, it rained.
Joon: maybe that was a good thing, have you ever had sex while its raining? That shit’s good
Eric: I’ll second that
Mark: yup.
Joon: sometime you have to try use a bad situation to your advantage
Jae: thanks I’ll keep that in mind. Now I feel guilty.
Joon: Jay’s a good guy, most men would actually pester you until you get in the mood.
We waited for the other's at the restaurant, I’m not sure how many appetizers we ate. I had a long lecture from all 3 of them, they’re like the best and worst brother you could ask for.
FInally the slow drivers made it. Everyone taking their seats.
Simon: how long you guys been here?
Jae: 3-4 hours
Jay: you ate?
Jae: yeah I’m full
Jay: you sure?
Jae: positive.
Jay: okay

When The Truth Was Revealed
A Round Five story for Prince Brynmor Raolin.
Bryn wasn’t entirely sure Sacha should have listened to what he told her three days earlier, but there was no getting out of the meeting now. He had come up with the idea while exhausted, desperate for a way to save the morale of the rebellion. What better way to do that than to tell the people he was leading his true identity?
Of course, at the time, he hadn’t considered the consequences. They would ask him to prove his identity, and he had nothing that could help him except the stories in his head and the word of his friends that they would help prove his identity. The only thing that would remotely help would be his resemblance to King Jasper, but that could still be seen as a coincidence. Still, the beard he was growing helped, and he hoped that would be enough.
The idea of giving a speech was still daunting to him, especially one where he was supposed to be reassuring them that everything was going to be alright. He certainly hoped it would turn out alright, but he knew better than to trust the lack of activity from Sivalon at the moment. On top of that, Sacha had received a report that an adult female had been dragged to Sivalon’s dungeons in iron chains. The description was vague, but it fit that of Adena. As much as Bryn hoped it wasn’t her, he knew it probably was.
He heard a knock at the door and looked up to see Sacha slowly open it. “Are you ready?” She asked.
“I don’t think I’m ready, but there’s no time better than the present.” Bryn bit his lip, standing up and looking at the small mirror on the wall. He certainly didn’t look like a prince, especially with the black eye still present, but he had to try.
Sacha gave him a small smile. “I think…a lot of people need hope that things can get better, especially now. You can be that hope for them, Bryn.”
He returned the smile. “Hopefully.” He said quietly, following her out the door to the main area of Fort Rogue. There were quite a few people gathered there, but he could barely make out their faces despite the numerous candles.
Bryn made his way to the front of the crowd and took a deep breath, hoping this would not end up horribly. “Excuse me!” He called out, hoping to get the crowd’s attention. Slowly, the noise died down and Bryn began talking.
“First of all, I’d like to thank you all for coming, especially those of you who are helping with the war effort in Zarenwan. At the moment, Sivalon has not yet crossed the Vravian border, likely due to our assistance with this war. After this meeting, I plan on heading over to help as well.
“I know I haven’t met many of you, but my name is Jay Chauncey, and I’d like to let you know that I have not been captured, killed, or worse. I did encounter some of Damiano’s forces, but I was able to escape with some help from a rebellion member in Acrington. This meeting isn’t about me, though.
“The main reason I wanted to call you all here was to discuss something that I think will be vital to the future of the rebellion. I know it hasn’t been easy, and it has felt, at times, that this is all for nothing. However…that hasn’t been the case for me. I know a leader should be inspiring hope and bringing about change, so this is my effort to do just that.”
Bryn looked over at Sacha, who nodded.
“I’ve always felt that honesty relates directly to trust, and I do hope that some or all of you trust me, and hope that I wouldn’t lead you the wrong way. Unfortunately, I haven’t been completely honest with you, something I’ve decided to change now. The truth is, I am not Jay Chauncey. Jay Chauncey was name I chose for myself when I was thirteen, when I was trying to survive in Acrington.
“My real name….My true name is Brynmor Simon Raolin, son of King Jasper Cedric Raolin, and I escaped twelve years ago.”
For a second, the room was silent, but then the yelling started. Questions were being asked at all volumes, and Bryn could feel his headache returning.
“One at a time, please!” He cried out, doing his best to conceal a wince. “I know there isn’t much I can do to convince you, but I hope you will believe me if I explain how I escaped.
“I spent most of my youth at a boarding school in the middle of Vravia, and I had come home that particular weekend for my birthday. It was going to be a big celebration; I was turning twelve and even Queen Alwen had shown up, much to my mother’s delight. I remember my father planning on a way to send medical aid to Arithia, to help with the plague. Everything seemed to be fine, until the next morning.
“Everyone was rushed, many running straight out of the castle. My parents pulled me into a side room and explained what was happening, that Sivalon had attacked without much reason, and they were quickly advancing towards Ocrela. The plan was for me to escape with a group of servants, disguised as one of them, to Zarenwan, to hopefully stay with King Sidrus in Escon. My mother helped me cut off most of my hair and gave me some servants clothes to escape in.” Bryn swallowed, looking down. He hated talking about his last moments with his parents.
“I didn’t want to go, I didn’t want to leave them to die.” He admitted. “But they said that Vravia’s future was important, and that if I lived, then Damiano would never truly win. They barely convinced me to leave.
“We started heading towards Escon, but we had no idea of the scale of the attacks. The Sivalon soldiers weren’t just after Ocrela, they were attacking the smaller villages, looking for sorcerers and sorceresses. By accident, we ran into one attack by accident, and in running for cover I was separated from the group. That night, I couldn’t find them so I attempted to head to Escon on my own. However, I ended up in Acrington, and realized that if I had turned up in Escon, then the Sivalonian troops might have followed me there. At the time, it made sense - hide right under Damiano’s nose.
“I came up with the name Jay Chauncey after Jasper Cedric, my father. It wasn’t even close to my real name, and I was essentially hiding with the enemy, so I assumed there would be no reason to look for a dead prince there.” Bryn looked around, hoping that people would believe him. “I hope you believe me, and my true identity, but there is one thing I must ask of you - to keep it a secret, as much as you can. I want to trust with this, but if word gets out, I can only imagine what could happen. Thank you for listening to me.” He gave a small smile, and made his way over to Sacha.
“That went better than expected.” Sacha smiled at him.
“I think I might be sick.” Bryn took a shuddering breath. “But other than that, it did go well. I think I should mingle, let people talk to me.”
Sacha nodded. “That’s a good idea. I’ll be around, if you need me.” She winked, heading into the crowd.
Bryn nodded, and followed her in as well, glad to feel a weight off his shoulders.
The next day, Bryn decided to head to Weshon, since it was essentially on the way to where Hermes’ camp in Zarenwan was. He figured, if anything, he could at least say hello to Elodie, and apologize for not telling her he was alive. Hours later, he headed back to Sacha’s base on the edge of Weshon to pick up his horse before riding to Zarenwan. He was tired, but happy. It felt weird to be who he truly was, but he wast starting to enjoy it. Then, out of nowhere, appeared a falcon.
Bryn cursed, jumping back and hitting the wall. He hated falcons, and was convinced the falcons knew that too. One day, they were probably going to eat him in his sleep, or something along those lines. Attached to the falcon’s leg was a note, which Bryn took hesitantly, read, and crumbled it up.
Damiano had executed Adena. She had died without her powers, likely starving, by the man she hated. It was awful, in Bryn’s opinion, especially since she was the one who helped him escape in the first place. He cursed at himself, for not dragging her out of there when he could.
But somehow, Adena had made things almost worse. He knew she had been angry, since Adena usually was, but her quote to the king….it was a threat. Most likely about him, but Damiano would probably figure she meant Brecht. He hoped Damiano would believe she meant Brecht, allowing him to stay somewhat hidden for a while longer.
Bryn glanced over at the horse Sacha had left him, and frowned. There wasn’t time to waste, especially with a chance that Damiano could become very irritated soon. He hopped on and started to ride to Zarenwan.
It only took a few hours, but Bryn was exhausted by the time he reached Hermes’ camp. He dismounted immediately, focusing on finding his friend. It was easy to find him, the only tent lit in this late hour. He entered cautiously, hoping Hermes hadn’t fallen asleep.
Hermes looked up, frowning. “You look awful.” He commented, then did a double-take, smiling slightly. “And you’re not hiding, apparently.”
Bryn raised an eyebrow. “Do I really look that bad?”
“Well, Sacha said you were out for the better part of two days…We thought you got yourself killed.” Hermes explained. “I am glad you’re okay, though.” He added, smiling a bit.
“I didn’t, thanks to Adena.” Bryn bit his lip.
Hermes nodded. “I heard about her. I’m sorry, I know it wasn’t right.”
Bryn ran a hand through his hair. “I could have saved her, I could have convinced her to come with me. We could have done it, you know. We could have outrun those soldiers.”
“If she was as badly injured as you were, then probably not. What would have happened if you had been captured? Like it or not, but if you had died, this entire thing would probably implode.” Hermes frowned. “Have you seen the King yet?” He asked.
Bryn shook his head. “I just got in.”
“I can take you tomorrow, then.” Hermes nodded. “Maybe propose a few strategies, which he will probably reject.”
“You don’t know that.”
“I’m not too sure he likes me. I’m not very likable.”
“I think you care too much, and this is your first war experience.” Bryn shrugged. “He’s fighting the people who killed his wife twelve…almost thirteen years ago. He’s going to be cautious.”
“Speaking of those people, I’ve drafted a few strategies in the event that we win.” Hermes explained. “This is assuming we get into Ocrela and you become King. We can’t let Damiano sit on the throne - he’ll just come back and kill you.”
“What are you proposing?”
“We kill him first.”
Bryn hesitated. “I…I don’t know about that.”
“Bryn, forget the moral aspect of this. He killed your parents, and will likely try to kill you. If he lives, he is a threat.” Hermes explained.
“He has children, and a wife.” Bryn looked down. “They’ve done nothing wrong.”
“This isn’t about them.”
“I know, but the invasion wasn’t about me when my parents were killed. I was still affected, there’s always going to be consequences.” Bryn explained, sitting down and feeling even more exhausted.
Hermes looked over, a sympathetic look in his eyes. “There’s an extra bed in the back, you can take that. I’ll grab a blanket for you in a minute.”
Bryn nodded. “Thank you.” He said quietly, stifling a yawn as he tried not to dwell on the war that awaited him the next morning.
