Jinx is funny as hell tho. She tries so hard to stray away from genuine connections and deeper emotions so she tries to make these big jokes but just. No one ever goes along with her bit.
I can see her thoughts when she's waiting for Vi to sober up like "ok so we're not gonna acknowledge that several months ago I almost killed her/tried baiting her into killing me. I'm gonna write my name on my cheek and it's gonna be so damn funny that Vi won't be mad at me and I can tell her about Vander."
or the fucking "it's me! Your big, fat hero!" met with nothing but quiet sincerity and gratitude. it catches her off guard bc she's not getting the theatrics that she expected from people that would follow someone like her, she just gets genuine acceptance.

Just random random headcannons about my wife <3
Tumblr media
She makes lots of noises; grunts, sighs, groans. It’s basically a language that only you can understand at this point.
“Hmph,” she grunted with her usual grumpy expression. “You want cuddles?” She nods her head in response.
Snores but denies it. It’s like when you’re sharing a hotel room with your family and your dad’s snoring keeps you awake; staring at the ceiling. You’ve told her multiple times but she just doesn’t believe it.
“You kept me awake all night,” you said in disbelief as your utterly exhausted eyes met hers. “Uh-huh, how? Do NOT say because I was snoring.””You were snoring.”
But in all seriousness, she started sleeping on her side—the snoring was due to her sleeping on her back.
Doesn’t care for public affection, not that she won’t slip her arm around your waist or have her hand on your thigh once in a while—but it isn’t often.
(Saw someone else say this)—absolutely loves dad jokes. She won’t laugh at anything else but dad jokes.
“Hey babe,” you slid next to her on the couch. “Hm?””What days are the strongest?“ you asked. “I don’t know,” she shrugged. “Saturday and Sunday,” you started to smile. “Why?” She was slightly curious. “‘Cause the rest are weekdays,” she couldn’t even hold it before she burst out laughing.
Takes her mechanical arm off before she goes to bed because she doesn’t wanna hurt you.
Tough with everyone else but you, Jinx and Isha (they’re alive and well).
Isha made a cheerful noise as she raised her tea cup. Sevika sat across from her, hunched over the small table, teacup in hand. She pretended to drink from it, “Mm, nice.”
Perfers actions over words—for example, her version of an apology is by doing more of what she should’ve done in the past. If she wasn’t spending much time with you before, she’d immediately take it upon herself to fix her schedule.
VERY protective, especially when you’re at The Last Drop, nothing escapes her vision.
Once, this guy attempted to flirt with you but before he could get a word out, he was immediately met with a deadly glare from her. She pulled you closer towards her with a raised eyebrow, “You got something to say?” That sent him babbling in fear, “Uh-no, no, of course not!—“”Get out of my sight.”
Claims she’s not an animal person but will come home with a kitten she found on the street.
“It wouldn’t stop following me,” she said while avoiding eye contact with you. You knew she was lying.
Sometimes when she comes back from work she’ll just collapse on the couch. She’s a busy woman, alright?
Jinx cut her hair then made fun of her afterwards.
Jinx cackled after she looked at the final product, “Sweetcheeks ain’t gonna love you now, are they?” The older woman simply grumbled under breath, “You’re the one who cut it.””Yeah and I made it ugly on purpose.”
You ended up loving her hair anyway.
Secretly likes when you lay on top of her; loves seeing how comfortable you are
She’s always warm; your personal heater
Somehow gives the best hugs—bear hugs, but is so awkward with it
Takes the longest showers known to mankind; once she gets in, be prepared to wait about an hour. Meanwhile, half the time it’s just her staring at the wall.
Will let Isha climb her on rare occasions; sometimes the girl gets insanely hyper and is moving all over the place.
Says she’s “not fond of kids” but has a soft spot for them.
A little boy with blue-dyed hair walked up to her while she was outside one day. “H-hi, can you please sign this?” He asked in a soft-spoken manner, showing a drawing, offered with a crayon. She didn’t respond but took the paper and signed her name on the back. Internally, she was in disbelief that this boy looked up to her in some way. “Thank you!” He gave a big smile before running back to his group of friends, happily showing them the signature. A twitch edged at the end of her mouth.

"I think the cycle only ends when you find the will to walk away."
Got a lot of Q's for this in my inbox. Figured I'd just address them here.
tw: mentions of suicide, suicidal ideation
Re: the ending of S2:
Jinx did not die.
She symbolically killed her old self, and with it, her last ties to the past that imprisoned her. She understood that for her sister to move on and live her life - be happy without guilt - she'd have to renounce the bonds that held them together.
Her talk with ghostly Silco was the 'sign-off' she'd been waiting for, ever his dutiful daughter. Throughout S2, she kept hoping he'd haunt her, and in doing so, offer some impetus given her aimlessness. Maybe just straight up boss her around, and tell her how she's supposed to exist now that he's no longer there to be a (subversive if loving) guiding hand.
But it was the promise of time (as represented by Ekko) healing old wounds, and the courage to feel, as she once had - a hopeful child with a hopeful future - that allowed Jinx to commit impetus to action.
Her blimp-ship in the climactic battle is a tribute to Isha - but also to the child in Jinx's own fractured psyche: Powder. She's letting both little girls have one last hurrah before she takes care of business - and cuts off the last oaths, duties and commitments that bind her to a past whose parameters she's outgrown.
Better still, she knows she's got the capacity to outgrow them.
That was the point of Jinx's arc with Isha, and why, no matter my misgivings on Isha's character herself, I found Jinx's trajectory towards a more nurturing and fun-loving figure more life-affirming and positive than the straightforward 'Daddy's Villain Goes Postal' shtick.
It's even why there's a minigame titled Jinx Fixes Everything. It's Jinx, struggling and stumbling, as she tries to rewrite her narrative, and finds in herself the capacity to do good.
To fix things that seem irreparably broken.
And to understand why she's reached this stage, we've got to let go of our tendency to project our own stuff onto Jinx (precious meow meow, unrepentant terrorist, manic pixie crazypants, edgy hot psycho) and acknowledge the purpose she plays in Arcane's thematic structure.
Jinx's character comes off as a death-seeker, and that's no shocker. She is hounded by terrible guilt and loss. She's got blood on her hands, and ghosts on her heels, and no matter what she does, she can't seem to be rid of them. Her inner mind's fractured, her mannerisms ooze pure chaos, and she seems a creature of pure feral impulse and no mercy.
That's the Jinx we're accustomed to seeing in S1 - except that's also both the front she's most likely to put on during that timeline, and the persona that is necessary for her to inhabit to survive, as Silco's daughter and his top enforcer.
Then Silco kicks the bucket, she symbolically fulfills his dream by shooting at the Council HQ, she accepts that she must inhabit this path of shadows and loneliness (as symbolized by her starkly decorated chair in the tea party scene), she accepts the fragmented push-and-pull between past and present, and...
And now what?
Silco's given her a semblance of direction for six years, and he's gone. Vi, the sister she'd hoped would return, and whom she'd hinged so many childishly idealized hopes on, is herself traumatized, and afraid of what her sister's become.
Jinx has her shadows and her loneliness. Jinx is traumatized. Jinx is suicidal.
But Jinx is still, whatever else, alive.
And all living things need connections.
That's why we as the audience enjoy her little found family dynamic with Isha and Sevika. It's Jinx, taking the first tentative steps to reach out to people beyond Silco and Vi, and realizing, wow, she enjoys the pay-off.
And all throughout S2, we see Jinx growing more and more comfortable in this newfound space - even jealously guarding it at the expense of Zaun's liberty, and Silco's wishes, because she can't bear to lose what she's found.
And what she finds empowers her enough that, when Warwick shows up, she's actually willing to reach out to Vi, and call upon their family connection, because Jinx is learning the value of bonds, not as baling hooks of guilt, but as buoys to carry her forward.
That's the story Jinx's relationships serve to tell in S2. Each one shapes the choice she makes in the finale. Until she learns to accept the past (Vi), to lay the monsters to rest (Silco and Vander/Warwick), forgive herself (Caitlyn) trust that time heals all wounds (Ekko), and hope for happier new beginning (Isha), she'll never trust herself enough to just seize the chance.
Jinx's culminating arc is not about death, much less self-erasure. It's about resurrection, and embracing the sublime chaos of a freed mind, and a lightened spirit. That's what she craves beyond simple death, and what her baptism by fire, blood and riverwater, has been about.
Each trial grinds her down into someone else. Someone new.
Someone closer to who she is meant to be, rather than who she's expected to be.
That's why she's so glad to make the sacrifice for Vi. She's not dying as an act of self-immolation. She's giving her sister - the one who's proven she'll never give up on her - the ultimate gift, and showing Vi that she deserves to live.
She needs Vi to live, so Jinx, the persona, can finally die.
"He (Silco) didn't make Jinx. You did."
She's basically saying, "I love you, I will always be with you, but you are no longer responsible for my actions. Please move forward with your life, and grant me the choice to do the same."
It's two sisters embracing everything they've meant to each other, acknowledging the pain weighing them down on both sides, and welcoming the new so they can each slough off old paradigms and live life as a whole person - or at least take steps to remembering what wholeness feels like.
That's the reason the show's final shots linger on the Hexgate tunnels, Jinx's monkey bomb, and the aircraft.
It's the show's way of reminding us that Jinx has ascended to a different version of her identity - one removed from the past that haunted her. It's Jinx, finally striking out alone, away from the sister whose memory she clung so desperately to, and who was, in turn, horrified by her hand in making Powder a monster (perceived guilt or real, fandom may debate ad nauseum) due to past mistakes and abandonment.
The ending of Arcane isn't tragic. It's deeply hopeful, and serves as a reminder that no matter how damaged you think you are, and no matter how monstrous the world finds you, there are still ways to come back to yourself - or to walk the path toward a new you.
Jinx is symbolized by crows. Jinx is shown with firelights emerging from her mouth. Jinx is depicted holding a torch like Janna ushering in the winds of change.
Thematically, Jinx is change.
And the best way she can embody that change is to write her story, and make it her own.

I think one of the many things wrong with Jinx this season is how like, half of her personality was cut off and thrown out.
Like her reaction to grief. We see her suicidal after Silco’s death and she’ll be again very suicidal after Isha’s death. Makes sense. Don’t have notes on that part. However I have so much notes on her rage. In s1 we see Powder sometimes responding to bad situation by being shy and sad, but sometimes she reacts in a more adversarial way, like complaining they should try fighting Piltover or trying to stand up to Mylo. But we also get these moments like when she’s left behind and has an absolute meltdown and starts wrecking shit but more importantly her reaction to Silco. He says they’ll show them all and she throws the audience the most rage fueled look you’ve ever seen. When really pushed beyond her limits this is Powder’s emotional reaction to tragedy/being wronged. We see that all throughout acts II and III and we see it when she blows up the council after Silco dies. And that’s the problem cos that’s the part that’s missing from s2. They cut her personality in half and only kept one half. Anger as part of her personality and reaction to grief was discarded when writing her in s2. Even tho she goes through a lot of grieving in s2.
Another example is Isha. Jinx prioritizing family and just chilling? Wanting affectionate interactions with family? Having an easier relationship with a younger family member cos there aren’t any expectations or need to prove anything or gain anyone’s attention? No fear of abandonment/betrayal? She just has this kid who hero worships her and follows her around like a puppy so no stress? No notes. However I have a lot of notes about Jinx’s paranoia and how not normal and possessive and toxic she is about relationships. And I have notes on the generational trauma. Where did all that go? That’s not how ppl work. Living in a messed up society and Silco’s parenting won’t just evaporate like that cos Isha is just so overwhelmingly cute. It’s more likely that Jinx would corrupt the kid. (which you could argue on paper she does cos the kid in the end thought that suicide was dope but why did the narrative frame it as this beautiful thing lol)
And on the topic of fighting Piltover where did “we beat the enforcers with just the four of us imagine what the whole Lanes could do” go? Jinx definitely prioritized family more but she wasn’t neutral or indifferent on the Piltover matter. The enforcers wrong her/hurt her/threaten her family yet again, they kidnapped Isha, and she just acts panicked and sad, but also jokes and quips while on the mission. Where’s the rage and hatred and desire for revenge on the ppl who wronged her? Sometimes its just ppl around her being mean or lying or smth, anyone could be her enemy, like Sevika, Silco or Vi, but a lot of the time it’s Piltover, they killed her parents, they were her fathers’ enemies and drove them to hate each other, they chased them as kids and tried to arrest them, they kidnapped and abused Vi in prison all her adolescence, they would have killed Vi so she blew up the whole blockade, Council tried to turn Silco against her and now he’s dead so she bombs them, all her life she can see that the quality of their life is bad bcos of Piltover, she’s in Jayce’s apartment and immediately goes for the sandwich. Jinx doesn’t come off as a very politically/ideologically motivated character but what happened to all her personal beef with Piltover?
They also inexplicably just ceased to write her fucking up all the time. what about her y’know, being a jinx? In s1 even in acts II and III when she is proficient in fighting and bomb-making they still constantly show her being more of a burden and fucking up in other ways. While never explained (which was good) to me it came off as a symptom of trauma and being neurodivergent, like how ADHD kids can’t escape the allegations that they’re lazy, but on a meta level it did make it feel like she was supernaturally cursed. Part of what felt so profound and empowering about s1 finale and her embracing being jinx it that it was her embracing that she’s different (and ‘wrong’ in some ways) and can never live a happy life in the society she lives in and so she lashes out. Now she just chills and nothing ever doesn’t go her way (ig until Isha died but that wasn’t even directly her fault, Isha just acted on her own choice and agency). Suddenly her mental issues don’t exist or get in the way of her socializing and being a part of society. This bigoted, violent and unfair society.
Don’t even get me started on her mannerisms. Remember how she would bite her lip? I’m not sure if she does that even once in s2. “Sister, thought I missed her”??? let Jinx rhyme sometimes and in general say weird shit, not one-liners.
So the only way for the writers to have Jinx do nothing, heal up completely and just chill with a kid in her lair (and really everything else she does (or doesn’t do) this season) is to get rid of half of her personality, the traits that would dictate she take action and feel wrath and lash out/hurt her loved ones in the process.
All of her tragic traits from s1 that made her Jinx were just erased, not changed throughout the course of an arc, absent from the get go, so that they can have her say that Jinx is dead and have it make sense in the context of s2 cos from her very first appearance is s2 this Jinx was devoid of pretty much all of her jinx-y character traits from s1.

The look of love
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
note -> I am NOT ready for act 3, I don't want Arcane to end :[[[
parts -> [part one] | part two
pairing -> Jinx X fem! reader, platonic! Isha X fem! reader
summary -> Jinx always believed that she would end up alone, she always did. That was until you and Isha came into her life and now she finally has something—someone—worth living for.
warnings -> none.
content includes -> just fluff.
Tumblr media
Jinx didn't believe in happy endings. Not for her, not for anyone. Sure, people in Piltover might have them—their shining golden mansions and glittering dresses made them seem like they walked out of fairy tales. But here in Zaun? Happy endings were as real as unicorns, and Jinx would sooner blow herself up than believe in that kind of nonsense.
She had convinced herself she didn't care.
That was until you came along. And then later, Isha.
————
The first time she met you Jinx didn't think much about you. You were just another face in the crowd of Zaun, another person struggling to make it through the grime and smog. She’d been trailing through the streets, looking for some scrap or bauble to turn into her next explosive creation.
And there you were, crouched in some abandond alley with your hands tangled in wires, fiddling with some broken-down device. You didn't even look up when she stopped next to you, a hand resting on her hip as she watched you.
"Hey, you planning on blowing that thing up, or is it just me?
You jumped, your head smacking against the device. Groaning, you rubbed at your scalp and turned to glare at her. "What do you want?"
Jinx tilted her head. "Ooh, feisty. I like that." She crouched next to you, her eyes darting over your work. "What's this supposed to be?"
"Nothing you'd care about."
"Try me."
You let out a sigh, but humored her. "It's a transmitter. Or it's supposed to be. Trying to fix it so I can get in touch with someone topside. Supplies down here are running thin."
She knew should've walked away. Jinx never got involved with other people's problems. It was easier this way: to keep to herself and keep the world at arm's length, to keep her heart safe, she couldn't handle loosing anyone else.
But something about you made her want to stay, something about you made her want to get to know you better, to open up her heart to you.
"Supplies, huh? Tell you what," she said, standing and shouldering her gun. "You make that thing work, and I'll make sure nobody messes with you until then."
You blinked at her warily but curiously. "Why?"
Jinx shrugged, a lopsided grin spreading across her face. "Call it a hunch. You seem… fun."
————
That was the start. You didn't trust her that much at first—who would? Jinx was chaos in human form, a whirling dervish of energy and bad decisions that sane people crossed the street to avoid, not to mention a wanted crimial. But she kept her word. For weeks, she stuck around your jury-rigged workshop, chasing off the more common sorts of Zaunite pests.
And against your better judgment, you began to grow accustomed—and even attached—to her.
Jinx was actually good company when she wasn't blowing things up. She had a way of making you laugh, even when the transmitter refused to cooperate. Her stories—wild and half-believed—painted in the picture of a girl who hurt more often than she let on.
One night, with the both of you sitting on the rooftop of a crumbling building, she turned to you, her usual manic grin replaced by something softer.
"Why're you still here, anyway?" she asked. "Zaun's a dump. You could've gone topside ages ago."
You fumbled for words, gazing fixedly out across the glowing neon lights of the skyline. "Zaun's home," you said finally. "It's messy, yeah, but… it's mine. People up there wouldn't understand."
For once, Jinx didn't have a snappy comeback. She just nodded, the understanding in her eyes making your chest tighten.
————
Then came Isha.
Jinx had always been good at finding trouble, and it just so happens that a little girl fell on top of her while running away from bad men.
Jinx protected her, of course, the guys weren't even a match to her so it was incredibly easy. By the time the dust settled, the little girl was staring at her, wide-eyed and breathless.
"Yep, that's me." Jinx said as the two looked at the wanted posters of her, "You ever need to curse a sibling or a family or a society... my card." she said as she started walking away.
The little girl immediately followed her, trying her best to catch uo with her, her little eyes filled with amazement.
Soon Jinx was at your workshop with the little girl trailing behind her. You immediately noticed the two, raising your eyebrow as you glance between Jinx and the girl.
"She yours?" you asked, raising an eyebrow.
Jinx shrugged. "I dunno. She just kinda started following meu."
You sigh, looking at the little girl then at Jinx. "Well, she's staying. She'll be safer with us."
Jinx didn't argue.
————
Months passed. The three of you became an odd little family, bound together by circumstance and something deeper that none of you could quite name.
You and Jinx spent your days scavenging and fixing whatever you could get your hands on, while Isha stood watch, her quiet presence a constant comfort, sometimes she would even help you two.
For the first time in a long while, Jinx felt something close to peace.
She would never admit to it, not even to herself, but she began to look forward to the moments when you'd smile at her, your laughter filling up the empty spaces in her mind. She loved the way Isha would hold onto her, a silent reminder that she wasn't alone anymore.
And then there was the way you looked at her.
Jinx had seen a lot of things in her life, but she'd never seen anyone look at her the way you did. Like she was more than just a ticking time bomb. Like she was worth something.
It scared her.
But it also made her want to be better. For you.
————
It was one of those nights when the city weighed heavier than usual. You were tinkering with a new device that aimed to channel Zaun's toxic air into something breathable. Jinx sat beside you, mimicking your actions but with one of her bombs instead as Isha layed her head in Jinxs lap sound asleep.
"Do you ever think about leaving?" You asked her, looking up to look at her.
Jinx froze, her fingers mid-twist. "What, like… Zaun?"
You nodded, not looking at her. "Yeah, starting over somewhere else. Somewhere quiet."
For a moment, she didn't know what to say. The idea of leaving Zaun had never crossed her mind. This place was her hell, but it was also her home.
But then she looked at you, at the way the dim light caught the curve of your face, and she wondered if maybe, just maybe, there could be something more.
"I dunno," she said finally, her voice quieter than usual. "Maybe."
You turned to her, your expression soft but searching. "If you ever wanted to… I'd go with you, Isha would too."
Jinx's heart stuttered in her chest. She looked away, trying to mask the way her cheeks flushed. She looked down at Ishas sleeping form, her hands playing with the young girls fluffy hair.
"Yeah, well," she muttered, "don't go making promises you can't keep, alright?"
But the way you smiled at her made her wonder if you meant it.
————
The world didn't change overnight. It never does. But for Jinx, it didn't need to.
She had you. She had Isha.
And for the first time in her life, she thought that might just be enough.
Because when she looked at you, she saw something she never thought she'd have.
Home.
And that was worth living for.

Hey chat...
I literally have so many scenarios in my head it's killing me
Could you do a scenario where the reader shields Isha from the blast (or whatever) which results in her on the verge of death. How will jinx deal with it? And how will she save her
(I'm trying to cope with the loss of my baby Isha 😞💔)
Sure! Here ya go but probably sucks, haven’t wrote one of these in a while! Enjoy!

Sacrificial
Tumblr media
You could only process what the girl was thinking when her small feet started running past you helping Jinx off the ground.
The familiar act was so hard to miss. It was like watching Powder all over again all those years ago the night everything went wrong.
You couldn’t handle it again.
“Jinx? Jinx- I’m so sorry.” You apologized to your lover on the ground. Jinx looked at you, confused with her face having splatters of blood drops. But she was so confused. What were you sorry for?
It only clicked when she saw you running after Isha into what she knew she would never get you back from.
“No- no!” Jinx cried out, getting up with the look of horror on her face when you ran. She tried reaching for you like you did her all those years ago, only to fall short. She lost you.
She lost you before you even got to the girl.
Isha was right within your grip, tears falling from your face as you knew you wouldn’t be coming back home to your lovers and your bed.
“Isha!” You yelled, reaching for her as she kept running, shoving gemstone after gemstone into Jinx’s gun.
“(Name)! Isha! No!” Jinx cried, trying her best to get to the both of you as Isha slid to the ground, moving just like Jinx taught her to as she finally got to Vander.
Jinx was caught by Vi, crying and blubbering as her heart and chest constricted at the thought of you leaving her with her mind.
What was she gonna do? She couldn’t fix this once it was done.
Isha had barely mimicked Jinx back at her, the little finger gun motion breaking your head. Isha wasn’t dying. This wasn’t how she was gonna say goodbye.
Isha lifted the gun to Vander, and by the look on his face as he saw you nearing you could tell he had no control over this. Just like back then.
Isha had barely closed her eyes, and you saw the smile on her face. She looked almost content to die. Like it was a release. You felt bad for taking it from her.
She barely pulled the trigger when you grabbed her, pulling her to your chest and curling around her.
Isha’s eyes shot open, panicked for a split second as she tried to push you away and out of there. But you were older. Stronger. The way you wished when you were younger to be like Vi.
You barely managed a smile to Isha as you held her, and even years later she could still hear your voice and see your smile as you whispered in her ear.
“You’ll be okay. Take care of her for me, will ya?”
The gun went off.
And you were gone.
The reaction was immediate. Isha didn’t feel you anymore. She was cold, your arms around her gone as she finally opened her eyes after praying to whatever god there was that you were okay.
Nothing.
Not anything of you was left behind.
All she heard was Jinx’s wailing, and her little heart dropped to her stomach at the realization.
You were gone.
Because of her. Isha took you from Jinx.
“Isha! Why- why would you do that?!” Jinx cried, even though she knew you’d hate to hear the words coming from her mouth but she couldn’t stop herself.
She pushed Vi off of her, running to Isha out of relief and anger as she searched for you to come up with nothing.
She grabbed the girl by her shoulders, crying and blubbering as she sobbed.
“Why would you- (Name)?! (Name)!” Jinx cried, yelling it out as she searched for you.
Isha had no idea what to do with Jinx’s anger but cry with her as she felt your absence.
Jinx wasn’t able to process this, and Vi could only watch as the one thing her sister held dear to her heart from when they were kids, you, was gone. Just like that.
Jinx’s sobs turned to wails as she felt her heart being ripped from her chest. This wasn’t how it was supposed to be.
You were supposed to be okay. Vander was supposed to come back. They were supposed to stay and be happy. Vi could even be there.
Jinx had her family back, and now it was all gone.
Her wails kept going, she gripped onto Isha cause she would be damned if she let her out of her sight for her to be taken to.
Her head fell to Isha’s shoulder, the girl's cries mixing with her own as Isha’s little fingers gripped onto her.
Jinx and Isha crumbled together on the floor, crying and sniffling and sobbing. What happens now? What comes next?
How can anything come next…when you’re gone?

SMOKE & FOG
0.1 Red Smoke
pairing: jinx x reader (romantic) , isha x reader (siblings)
synopsis: Your entire life has been dictated by a debt you owe to Smeech, one that grows with every move you make. He holds your sister and you on a tight leash, one mistake leads to your sister being taken and your only option is to fight or die.
word count: 2.7K
warnings: villainous activity, murder, oppression, mistreatment, blood & gore, hurt/comfort, drugs & drug use, canon violence, suggestive themes, angst, spoilers, cursing, fighting !!
Tumblr media
Red smoke filled the air, perhaps it was the blood dribbling that mixed with the air around it, or it was the suffocating rage from every child who watched as their parents, cousins, siblings and friends were torn to shreds by the flying bullets. There was no one who could save the poor souls on that bridge, there was barely anyone left alive except for Vander, his grunts of pain and adrenaline could be heard through the bridge, screams and cries of pain and terror came from those he faced off against and yet after a moment, it just stopped. There was nothing. Just silence. My body was hunched under a rock, shielding my little sister’s extremely frail body in my arms, she was a baby, still wrapped up in a little blanket that we could barely afford, her cries came from every loud noise and all I could do was attempt to shush her– fear and adrenaline being the only reminder of why I was still under here with her. However whenever the loud noises stopped and shooting gave out, what replaced it were footsteps. The relief that coursed through my body was unimaginable. Finally, it was over, win or lose. I didn't care, I just wanted to escape back home with Isha and our parents.
There was a silence that raged over the bridge as I climbed out, bodies piling on top of others, eyes wide open with dread still stricken upon their face, they all looked scared as if they weren’t ready for death and yet here their lifeless bodies laid. It was sickening, a soft cry escaped my lips as tears welled up in my eyes, where were our parents? Where did they go? They were on this bridge just like everyone else so where were they? I couldn’t run, as much urgency was in my body, I couldn’t move my legs fast enough to form a sprint, I just walked. Shielding the little girl in my arms from all the pain and terror, I wouldn’t let her see this, I wouldn’t let her remember this, I wouldn’t let her grow up in a time like this– it was all gonna change, it was gonna be different whenever she was growing up. Those thoughts in my head were the only thing that kept my head up high as I walked past the bodies. The bodies of friends and our parents, the bodies of those who fought so hard for something that should be a human right, whether they were from Zaun or from Piltover. The bodies of those who fought for Respect.
Tumblr media
The rain is riotous, beating down on the small covers and hoods of those walking the streets of the undercity, no man or woman laid safe. One foot in front of the other, don’t look around. My gaze held towards the floor, looking around would only drag me into the reality I live in. Children on the streets without parents, working for scammers and con artists, insufferable and disgusting but we had to make money somehow. Not everyone was gifted with a silver spoon in their mouth and a warm bed to sleep in, not everyone was given private dance lessons and piping hot food that could feed an entire village for just one meal. Not everyone was born in Piltover and the price? Your life. There was no respect in the city of Zaun, at least not anymore, Vander was killed by Silco in some raging fight that took place in a warehouse and he was the people’s last standing symbol of peace. After Silco took over, shimmer raged through the streets and took over like a disease, even after his death it still runs rampant thanks to his goons. I am one of those goons, I am someone keeping it on the street, money is money and a job is a job, it hurts so many people but I do what I have to do to keep my family safe.
A small groan of annoyance escaped my mouth. I was only 17 years old but I had the weight of another human laid atop my shoulders. She could be no older than 7 but definitely not younger than 5 years of age, Isha, my sister. I don’t really know when her birthday is, not like we could celebrate it anyways, there are no birth certificates or calendar here, so we just assumed that it's sometime during the end of the year because that's whenever our parents would say happy birthday. 11/16, that is the birthday I have written down for her, the only one we care to acknowledge. My mind filled with grief as I entered the booming building, music blaring from the speakers and the cacophony of deals being made by every wall in his building was overwhelming and sickening. I turned my nose up in disgust (not like I was any better than them), as I turned towards the office building, a high rise, with glass windows to watch over the place as if he was some ghost. Smeech, one of the worst men I have ever met in my entire life, he had no good qualities, I would have rather he not offered me this job at all then let me watch as people waste their lives trying to get even a sniff of shimmer. Good and bad news was that the selling rate was down, more people were getting snatched off the streets while trying to find buyers and the production rate was too high to keep up with the missing sellers so whoever was left had to pick up the pace.
Caitlyn Kiramman’s enforcers were running circles around us, she made us look like chickens with our heads up off, which wouldn’t have mattered to me if it wasn’t for the fact that I couldn’t keep up. I had too many boxes on me at a time and too many lurkers and followers while trying to do my job, if he kept pushing me like this then I’d certainly get caught. With a heavy knock on his door, I pushed it open without waiting for confirmation– this was important. The rat creature moaned in annoyance upon even seeing my face.
“What do you want, child?” The sickening smoke of shimmer made its way out of his mouth while he smoked, filling the room with its pungent smell. Had it not been such an addictive drug I would have been turned away but something kept my feet from moving, a small inhale was all I took before turning my head away from his nonsense. “Less materials on my person. I’m carrying way too much cargo with not enough people to give it to. All my regulars are in hiding because of the enforcers or have already been grabbed! I have no one to sell to and walking around with even a drop of shimmer will get people arrested nowadays. What do you think they’ll do to me with eight vials full of it?” Despite the urgency in my voice, I didn’t raise my volume or lose my cool, I knew better than that, I knew my place, I wasn’t gonna be killed over such a trivial thing. I couldn’t be killed, I had to make it back home to raise Isha and make sure that she wasn’t alone, if I didn’t do it then no one would. “You’re a smart enough kid, you can figure it out. You sell the product, you get the money and you give it back to me. You’re already behind on repaying this debt of yours, don’t make me charge you an annoyance fee.” My debt.
I owed him my life because he was willing to take me in and promised that as soon as I paid him off he would let me and Isha go however every time I got even remotely close to freeing us, he would charge me some random out of the blue fee and added it to my tab making it once again out of reach. I knew it was on purpose, I knew he was never truly going to let us go but there was a small hope in that mind that maybe one day I could make enough money so that he doesn’t expect it, so that he has to let us go. A whine escaped my throat as I tried to reason with him, as I pleaded. “But sir-” “Make it a stupidity fee, how are you this incompetent? It’s just business sweetheart, and you’re behind on your dues anyways, there isn’t much room for you to be arguing with me. Out.”
I didn’t say a word after that, I couldn’t, I took whatever strength I had that would carry me out of the room and pushed until it led me out of the building.
Two hours later and I’ve only sold two vials, one to an elderly woman who looked like she was well on her way to death’s door, I tried to convince her that it wasn’t actually worth it to buy but she didn’t listen, something about being glad that she didn’t have to spend another moment down here was freeing to her and the second vial to someone from Silco’s old crew. They could buy plenty more but they chose not to directly interact with Smeech himself so they went through his buyers and even though we aren’t supposed to sell it to them, I did anyway. I tossed the gold coins up into the air with a smile, I completely overcharged him but who cares? “When did we say selling to Silco’s crew was back on the table, blighter?” Debt collectors, they roamed the streets while we were making deals, my head wasn’t in the right place, I completely forgot. Stuffing the coins into the small bag across my waist, I shrugged. “What’s it to you? We’re all charlatans, are we going to bypass the fact that you guys are charging children for crimes they didn’t commit to keep them in your debt? Or the old people you trick into owing their entire lives to you knowing that they won’t be able to afford it?”
My teeth clicked in arrogance, I held nothing over them but calling them out felt good to roll off the tongue, they needed to be checked every now and then too. “You’re just blood thirsty animals.” They scoffed at me, scoffed, my presence to them was insignificant, that I was aware of but seeing it play out in front of me still stabbed at my heart a little bit. “You forget yourself blighter. Perhaps we should.. remind you? Yeah?” The confirmation wasn’t for me and yet I couldn’t stop my head from shaking. This was going to end in bloodshed, there was no avoiding it but I wasn’t scared, I couldn't be scared of them. One thing went through my mind,  I have to get home to Isha. My hands raised to cover my face, eyes peeking out behind my clenched fists to stare them down, I was ready for a fight.
I shouldn’t have been so naive to think that I could fight all three of them at once, however it was the only option. The taller gentleman rushed towards me first, swinging his arms in whatever way they would move towards my body. I looked like a child compared to them, they were unnaturally tall and buff and their suits didn’t hide it at all. My body dipped towards the floor as his hands rammed into the wall, I swore I could feel the ground shake, but that didn’t waver my spirit. I struck his chest with every force in my body, it wasn’t a lot but enough to knock him back up against that very same corner, not even a second to breath as I was bombarded with another man racing towards me, his palm struck my side, launching me into the wall. It cracked upon impact and my body felt like it shattered, every limb hurt to move, with a split second I moved to the right, his second punch landing into the wall right next to me. My eyes expanded and my pupils dilated and I pulled away from the wall and steadied my body and stance once again, but arms wrapped around me, a crushing weight that stayed on top of me and kept me in place. A scream erupted from my throat as I tried to escape, struggling in every direction as the weight on top of me only got worse, it got tighter, more restricting until crack. The vials. The shimmer, it was still in my bag, how many vials did he crush? Was it seeping into my skin? My mind went blank, the weight was no longer crushing  me but I didn’t know what was happening? My face connected with the floor, was I dropped or did I hurt him? I didn’t mean to hurt them, even though they probably could have killed me. The intention wasn’t to get anyone hurt besides a simple warning.
When my eyes opened again all of them were on the floor, blood spilled out of wounds I didn’t remember making and my hands were covered in it. I tried wiping my face but it only smeared the blood already there, what have I done? Before I could make sense of anything the screeching from an enforcer came from the other side of the alleyway. I shook my head, this wasn’t me, I didn’t do this! I was innocent! Why wouldn’t my mouth open to explain? I opened up the pouch and raised one of the vials, I still had four safe but two of them were cracked, those were probably the two affecting my mind, my heart, my body. I could hear my heart in my ears, the thumping and beating as if I was inhuman, was I still human at this point? As soon as I raised the vial of shimmer, their guns were out? Panic was sewn into my nerves, I couldn’t get shot, were they gonna kill me? Leave my body for dead? Would I ever be found? Isha. My mind went blank and my eyes were bloodshot, I couldn’t think straight, I couldn’t see straight, I blacked out.
When I woke all I could feel was crimson dripping down my hand, the puddle beneath me only growing wider, spreading through the cracks in the small alleyway. Enforcers. Dead. Three Enforcers were dead and three debt collectors right next to them. The topsiders would hear news of this soon and my boss would hear about his debt collectors being missing but I couldn’t worry about it, what was the last thing I was thinking about? Isha? Isha. Where was she? Where is my sister? I couldn’t care less about the head I bashed into the wall just a moment ago or the knife I plunged into another man’s throat or the Enforcer’s gun that I lodged into a man’s side as a distraction before his untimely death. Smeech’s debt collectors would probably be after her especially if they were after me, they knew where I was so they certainly had to know where she was.
I needed to get back to my sister. My sister. My sister, Isha, I need to get back to her. Ichor running down my arm no longer bothered me, the ever growing pain in my abdomen only lingered as I ran and yet I didn’t stop. I couldn’t even remember how I got that injury but I couldn’t stop, my legs carried me to the last place I saw her. Three more dead debt collectors (this seemed to be a brand), shot straight through the head. Clean. Not a single mistake, completely intentional, whoever made the shot knew exactly what they were doing. A waft of pink smoke wavered from the body, it was fre- pink? shit. Jinx. There was only one person in town creating such imagery and also being such a great shot, no enforcers were in town (not anymore) and to be honest none of them were this great of a shot even if it was close range. The wanted posters of her face made her look psychotic, terrifying, right on brand to what the topsiders thought everyone looked like. I couldn’t let this go, I was still alive and the dead men meant that my sister was still out there too.
A/N: I hope everyone enjoyed the very first chapter!

Jinx x fem reader first kiss leads to make out pleasee
Coming clean (Jinx x reader)
Warnings: suggestive.
Genre: slight hurt/comfort, suggestive
Word count: 1.1k
Reader has no set pronouns!
Tumblr media
You and Jinx had been yearning for each other for a while now, it was evident to anyone who saw you two interact.
You’d met in Zaun, when you were trying to catch up with a little girl that was being chased by some men. You lost track of the girl for a bit, and when you finally found her you saw her with someone else, both sat on the ground.
You knew who she was -everyone did- but you’d never actually seen her before, and you honestly didn’t think you ever would. But there you were, and there she was. Jinx; right in front of you. She was prettier than you’d imagined, beautiful even, despite her tired and sad eyes.
“She a friend of yours?” You heard her. You made eye contact with the kid and she smiled at you.
“Actually, no,” you began saying. “I just saw her being chased and wanted to help her.”
You noticed that the little girl kept looking back and forth between the posters hanging on the wall and the blue-haired girl in front of her.
“Yep, that’s me. You ever need to curse a sibling or a family or a society… my card.” After that, she left, leaving you and the young thing alone, who insisted you on following Jinx.
And with that, your life changed forever. You’d found a family of your own, they were a light amongst all the darkness that invaded the world.
From the very beginning you were attracted to Jinx, how couldn’t you, really? With every passing day, it seemed like she was being brought back to life, and soon that anguished girl you first met was pretty much gone. Your relationship became stronger in time, and in you she found someone she could rely on; so she started opening up, letting you in when things troubled her and she needed a clear mind.
It wasn’t long until she fell for you, pretty evident to anyone, especially Sevika. She never said a thing, but would always give suggestive looks to both of you, which you disregarded and interpreted as her just messing around.
However, when you laid alone at night, you couldn’t help but let your mind wander, and it always ended up fixed on someone, a certain girl who always wore her hair in two long braids. At first, you tried to ignore those feelings growing inside of you, but it was beginning to be more difficult every day, especially when all you wanted to do was kiss her every time you saw her.
She’d noticed you were acting strange all of a sudden. You’d get jumpy when she was around or you’d trip over your words whenever you spoke to her. Had she done something wrong? Were you offended by something? Soon, doubts filled her head. Instead of letting them cloud her judgement, she decided to vocalize what was worrying her. She just wanted things to be good between you two.
It was a quiet day; Isha had gone outside to wander around, and Jinx found you in her hideout. She knew it was now or never, she needed answers and most importantly, she needed you close to her.
“Hey, there you are. I’ve been meaning to speak with you.” Your heart sank just a little bit, already beginning to feel anxious about what she could possibly say. “Are we…okay?”
Her question caught you by surprise, not imagining that those words would be the ones to come out of her mouth. You’d assumed the worst, her kicking you out for acting weird around her, for having feelings for her and not knowing how to handle them. “I- Of course, why wouldn’t we be?”
“You’ve been acting strange,” she responded. “Did I do something to upset you?” She asked in a sad tone, and you couldn’t help but look at her, and realised that tears were forming in her eyes. You quickly ran to her and cupped her face in your hands.
“No, no, you didn’t do anything wrong,” you reassured her.
“You’ve been so distant lately, keeping me at arm's length and I just have no idea why,” she adverted your gaze, ashamed even of the tears that were now running down her cheeks. “I just- I don't want us to change, tell me what I can do to fix things.”
“It’s not you, Jinx, I swear.” You closed your eyes, taking a deep breath before finally voicing what was troubling you. “I like you, as more than just a friend and I really tried to make those feelings go away so things wouldn’t be awkward between us, and in doing that things did end up being awkward. I didn’t know what to do because I don’t want you to feel weird around me and-.”
You were cut off by her lips against yours, catching you by surprise. She quickly pulled apart to get some air and looked at you with a playful look. “You talk too much.” And with that, her lips were back on yours, and her hands were on your body, as yours were on hers.
The kiss was desperate and passionate. Your hands were on her waist and hers were on your neck, pulling you so close to her that you could practically merge together. She was taller than you, not by much, but right now she seemed to tower over you and you could practically hear your heart beating in your chest.
Things escalated quickly, she pushed you to her desk and you sat down on top of it, with the girl standing between your legs. Soon her lips were on your jaw, going down your neck and back again to your mouth; her hands exploring your legs, your chest, your back, everywhere. She rested her hands on your thighs, squeezing them at times, paying attention to your neck once more. You couldn’t help but let out a little moan at her actions, pulling her closer.
Adrenaline and excitement were taking over you, feeling your body on fire every time she touched you and wanting nothing more than to stay like this forever. But soon, you were interrupted.
You practically jumped when you heard Sevika come in, not giving you any time to even think about pretending to do something else. She looked at the state of the two of you, cheeks flushed, parted lips, and messy clothes. She smirked before speaking, “Just came here to look for something but I guess I’ll just come back later.”
You and Jinx looked at each other and smiled nervously, looking at the woman just a few meters away from you. “I’ll leave you both to it,” she said before walking away, leaving you both alone once again.
“I guess it goes without saying that I like you too,” Jinx said.
i really liked this request, i love writing for jinx ☺️
You simply smiled and pulled her close once again.

thank u anon for the request, hope you liked it!

I do not want to make assumptions.....but since Season 2 Arc 1 of Arcane, I've had a sneaking suspicion that the Piltover vs Zaun plot isn't going to be tackled well- as in they are not going to actually address the class issues and the exploitation in a direct manner for long. Caitlyn's redemption arc and propping up Jinx as the saviour over Ekko was what made me even more suspicious.
By making it Jinx instead of Ekko who is clearly in the right, who is reasonable and from the Undercity, they make Caitlyn look more reasonable. The implication that Firelights are part of the division between Zaunites is adding insult to injury with Ekko's complete disappearance in Act 2.
I actually like Jinx's arc but she shouldn't be the leader of Zaun's revolution. It should be Ekko.
I have seen a lot of media dealing with systematic issues and exploitation. I don't remember a single story made by a large corporation which kept dealing with the problem start to finish and properly condemned the oppressors. A nice shortcut I've seen, is introducing an even bigger threat than the "warring factions" of Rich v Poor or Exploiter v Exploited.
This seemingly resolves the conflict because the bigger threat unites the two fronts and forces them to set aside their differences, but it doesn't actually solve the pre-existing problem in the slightest.
I was hoping Arcane wouldn't, but it is barreling towards the same mistake by making Viktor the big bad of the story (and Singed as side character big bad). By highlighting Singed as someone who is especially heinous, it is playing into affirming the biases Piltover's people have about the undercity. Caitlyn's justified in throwing this guy into an inhuman hellhole because he's especially evil. Forget about how it was under Caitlyn's rule that Isha got put in there, it was actually Ambessa's fault! Don't blame the Pilties they're being manipulated!
Caitlyn by Ambessa
Salo by Viktor
Viktor being a villain is fine because....because why? Why is Viktor the villain now? I appreciate a good villain arc and descent into villainy- Caitlyn's S2 Arc 1 story did it perfectly. But Viktor's makes no fucking sense. One conversation with Singed is going to make him horrible? The Arcane is specifically making Viktor worse? Viktor was the only character in season 1 who focused on bettering people's lives, he continues to do so in season 2 and he's rightfully upset.
Even Jinx's redemption arc hinges on Caitlyn seeing the human in her, it ends with Vi asking Caitlyn to trust Jinx. And actually this time around Warwick killed Isha so it's fine don't be mad at the enforcers who set up camp to invade a commune.
In-story, Viktor running a cult is bad, Caitlyn defying Ambessa is in fact good. But why make these decisions. Why make Caitlyn the Enforcer, the upper class, the good guy when she gassed the undercity? Why make Viktor, the scientist from Zaun who directly suffered from The Grey, who wanted to help people and has never intentionally hurt anyone up until Arc 2 the villain? Why are the writers making these decisions? This is a bit of a Doylist perspective on things but I need to examine things this way because end of the day, this is Riot Games, this League of Legends and a show made by Netflix. At every step is a monopoly and it influences the stories being told, the stories being kept.
I will reserve complete judgement until Arc 3, but I am not particularly optimistic.

Upon rewatching Arcane S2- Act 1, there are a few things I wanted to point out that could be up for discussion 💥SPOILERS AHEAD💥
Episode 1
The theory about Mel wearing armor and that’s why she wasn’t hurt or dead
Caitlyn’s dad tone when he asked why was Vi still there. As if she was to blame for the deaths of the counselors and I don’t like how it’s emphasized about how Vi is “one of the good ones” compared to the people of Zaun.
When Mel explained how it had to be someone from the inside who let the chembaron assassins in and there’s a quick cut to Ambessa. Like we all knew she was a warlord who wanted to cover up her crimes, but the fact that she was actually pulling the strings was the kicker.
When Ekko was talking to Caitlyn about how enforcers would hunt people down like animals back in S1, and then Caitlyn was having that dark thought of hunting down Jinx like an animal before Jayce came to see her……
Episode 2
Now that Silco is dead, Zaun has rapidly gone worse to the point it got really dark when you see children getting kidnapped to go do labor or worse. As the henchmen who are trying to grab Isha have numbers on their forehead. I don’t know if it’s easier for them to be identified but they’ve been offed by Jinx.
Smeech pokes fun of Sevika mywife for being a funny-looking rat because she’s not the right-hand who kept things in order and doing dirty work. I honestly think Sevika is fine being that right-hand and getting in the field to fight for her people than to step in and take Silco’s place like some people would expect. She knows how much work it is to be the boss and it’s frustrating when the current chembarons are fighting each other than the oppressor who’s the real enemy and why the people of Zaun are surviving off horrible conditions.
This is actually one of the few times we see Sevika become more vulnerable as she’s was struggling to fix her arm, clean up the mess that Silco left behind, and no plan on what to do next. We see how (valid) she is being hostile to Jinx before they get on a familiar footing about Silco, making them do his dirty work.
Ekko's character is very much alike to Miles Morales as this comparison has been on my mind for a while. They're almost the same person. Especially when it comes to wanting to protect their family and people while taking on hard decisions at a young age.
How was Sevika gonna defend against Smeech and his men if Jinx's gun wasn't kicked out of her hand? Since she followed Jinx and she was clear that she wouldn't sell her out.
I do like how Jinx added the gambling part to Sevika's arm from the little games she made when she was a kid. It's something that they connect to from the little games Jinx created and it being from Sevika's gambling. The new arm is unexpected, and she doesn't know the outcome, yet Sevika starts to grow into the gambling bit.
Episode 3
Salo pointed out that the Kiramman name bewitches people, and Ambessa is putting Caitlyn in power. It is not because she is qualified for the job, but she is easy to manipulate, just like the Kiramman name is easy to persuade other rich families and counselors to follow.
Despite Caitlyn being good with a gun, she wasn't in the right head space to even take the shot. She claimed she wasn't gonna miss, but Isha was trying to protect Jinx and clinging to her tighter, moving around. A small part of that scene, you can see her little head blocking Jinx, so I don't believe she had a clear shot.
The guy who looks similar to Vander left being an enforcer as I'm curious to know what he knows from experience. He knows this isn't gonna end well.
Idk what ya'll think so far?

Quiet Regret :Arcane Oneshot
*Imagining of what Sevika was up to in beginning of S2 A3*
Sevika sits quietly in a stitched and taped old armchair in the darkness of her private room, the only sound the soft swirling of the amber liquid in the thick, heavy glass in her hand.
Isha is gone… Vi almost died saving Jinx, and she still hasn’t woken up… Jinx surrendered. She is in custody…
She had received word a week or so ago… she wasn’t really sure anymore. She paid the messenger, tipped him with instructions to ensure he kept his mouth shut—it didn’t matter if Jinx surrendered; if her “fans” found out she was behind bars, they would be washing Trencher blood off that godforsaken bridge—and sent him on his way. The information played in her head over and over in a loop. She stared straight ahead, swirling the glass slowly, not realizing she was squeezing until she heard that whisper of destruction before it cracked completely and white-hot pain lanced through her palm.
“Fuck!” She threw the shards across the room, casting blood with them, and stomped angrily to the sink, her breath heavy and ragged with anger as she ran the wound under the dingy water creaking from the faucet. Her jaw clenched, and her eyes stung as memories, unbidden and unwelcome, forced their way into her mind.
“Don’t ask me to take care of them, Vander. You know why I can’t.” “I know... and I’m so sorry that happened to your daughter. But these girls, and Mylo and Claggor—they don’t have anyone else. I don’t know what else to do,” Vander sighs. “Do whatever you need to, boss… but I’m a soldier. Not a mother. Not anymore. So if you want me to stick around, don’t expect otherwise.”
She turned off the water, grabbing a thick strip of cloth and, using her teeth to assist, looped it around the cut and tied it off with a grimace. She walked back to the chair and sat down, heavy with exhaustion that had nothing to do with sleep, as another memory crept in.
Her lungs heaved, her muscles burned, her eyes stung with sweat. She grinned and threw a quick combo: jab-jab-front teep-cross! Her opponent crashed into the mat, groaning. She grinned. “Better luck next time, Grimes,” and slipped easily out of the practice ring while those in attendance laughed and cheered. Vander raised a glass from behind the bar in salute, and she returned it with a grin. She walked over and plunked down in a chair in the corner, only to see a shock of pink hair staring at her from around the corner. “It’s rude to spy, Vi,” she said curtly. The little girl peered slowly around the corner and walked over, her eyes too intense for only ten years of age. She stood straight in front of Sevika. “Will you teach me that?” she asked. Sevika scoffed and looked away. “Vander is already teaching you.” Vi tapped her knee firmly. “I know, but... I want you to teach me that,” she said insistently. Sevika turned and looked at Vi square in the face. “Beat it, kid! You’re too weak for anything I got!” she scowled, expecting Vi to haul ass away from her. She turned her head for only a moment when a small but surprisingly strong hand punched her right in the chin, followed by a clumsy attempt at a follow-up, and Vi’s high voice roared in childish outrage, “Don’t call me weak!” Sevika grabbed Vi easily and held her out as the whole bar came to a stop. Vander started to come around, his face stern, but Sevika held up a hand, stopping him. She looked at the ferocious eyes, far too heavy with the weight of the world in the child’s face in front of her, and sighed. “First thing, kid,” she set Vi down, “you gotta learn some patience.”
She would never forget the way Vi lit up with a smile that day. It was that same smile that haunted Sevika’s nightmares on days when she remembered the sound of her blade sliding into Vi’s body...
Jinx and Isha were, of course, more recent regrets. All around her small home was the evidence of their presence. Bits and bobs of various bombs and traps, all inert... she hoped. Isha’s coloring pages were plastered onto the walls, doors, really anything the feral little gremlin could get her hands on.
She hadn’t wanted to let them in that day. Jinx had come by and said they were going to get Vi out of the pit but wouldn’t explain why, and that they should be back soon. Sevika had tried to come, but Jinx had strangely refused. She said they would all be back in a few days. But before they left, Isha had a gift. The young girl grunted and heaved, dragging a comically large sheet of dark metal up the steps and into the main room, levering it up and leaning it against the wall. Sevika walked forward and stopped. In bright, lively colors, rough silhouettes showed a day Sevika recalled all too well. Jinx and Isha huddled low with a large figure crouched low, covering them both as smoke enveloped them. In rough scrawl over the figure representing Sevika was one word: Guardian... Jinx had leaned in close, whispering, “I had to teach her to spell it—don’t be too impressed,” making Isha scowl as Jinx signed it to her as well with a wink. Sevika looked at the little girl, emotions warring in her, and went stiff as the little girl flew across the room, hugging her leg tight. Sevika barely strangled down a tear and allowed a small smile. “T-thanks, kid...” she leaned forward and patted the little girl’s back. Jinx laughed and grabbed Isha as they headed out the door. “Come on, any more emotion may kill Lefty. We better beat it.” As she stepped out, she turned back. “You and Vi be nice to each other when I bring her back... she’s been through enough...” she smiled sadly. Sevika nodded and watched as they vanished into the dark. Remembering a fierce and bright-eyed little girl and thinking... Maybe I can do better this time...
Now she sits alone, staring at Isha’s gift in the shadows. Guardian...
Isha gone... Vi may not survive... Jinx surrendered and behind bars...
Tears of bitterness and loss finally slither past her iron defenses there in the dark. And in that quiet, she allows herself, for only the briefest moment, to remember looking down into beautiful deep brown eyes, the most beautiful thing she’d ever seen, as she rocked her little girl for the first time...
She stood, angry at herself for allowing the memory to slip through, when out her window she saw the night sky erupt in an orange glow from the direction of The Last Drop. And although she couldn’t be sure... she thought she saw a trail of green light streaking that way in the clouds..
"What. The Fuck. Is That?"

Arcane could have been a perfect 2 seasons.
But everything feels rushed this season because we have
- expansion on silco/vander/vis mother that isn't needed
- Mel and her link to the black rose which just conveniently takes her away from the conflict, enabling caitlyn to have no mediating voice (the one that would have slotted perfectly in to what Maddy was supposed to be)
- Maddy for no reason
- Random character introductions that serve no purpose but to waste screen time
- Skye??? Viktor did not care about Skye so why is she with him? He referred to her as "Miss Young" when she was alive.
- Isha is a character created just to die to further Jinxs character which imo didn't even need to be furthered, unhinged irredeemable Jinx is what the character deserved and it would do it justice, this is a tragedy after all.
- Warwick walking around in broad daylight just chillin when he had been teased as this foreboding terrifying creature that was hardly a man, triggered by any blood... but nope he hugs Vi and all of a sudden he's lovely and sweet and ??
- Vi had NO ROOM for development, I am so fucken angry at how shafted Vi has been, Warwick was a chance for Vi to develop, HE was her mentor, their relationship was so important to VI and then they pushed any importance of it for Vi onto Jinx.
- Caitlyn fist fighting? Why? Why do we need this, Caitlyn is the brain, the anti Jinx, she analytical and articulate. SHE PICKS UP WHAT VI LACKS Why build this physical strength? Why? The scene where her and Ambessa are fighting took me OUT like ?? What blue eye samurai garbage is this???
- mels brother introduced? ANOTHER CHARACTER WE DONT KNOW OR CARE ABOUT GIVEN THE PRECIOUS SCREEN TIME WE NEED TO WRAP THINGS UP.
- literally ekko and heimerdinger have loose ends and they aren't even AROUND!?
- Viktor was some Doctor Who type shit... like I couldn't believe what I was watching, I'm not even a big Viktor person but this was just ????
- Caitlyn captures Vi and Ambessa considers it a big deal but as far as we are all aware DID AMBESSA EVEN KNOW VI????
This is just such a mess and really wish people could take the rose coloured glasses off and really understand what they did here, I'm not saying don't enjoy it but we got CW level writing this arc, this was fanfiction and the minute Jayce Talis showed up and fucken killed Viktor I was relieved.
Jayce kept his promise to Viktor, the only thing I can say that was in character in this arc.
BUT ALL IS NOT LOST
Act 3, they can bring this back, they have Mel out of the black rose pit (???) And she's back, Jayce is back, Isha is gone, Warwick is gone and Jesus AU Viktor is gone.
We have the main cast and 3 episodes for them to pick up these pieces.
I'm coping so hard I'm coping so hard I'm coping so hard

Personnal opinion on Arcane Season 2.
This is my opinion on what went wrong in Arcane and why, after three years of waiting, I am mostly disappointed by how it ended, despite a strong season 1.
Tumblr media
Ambessa was introduced way too early in the show, back in season 1. We already had so many complex plots going on and adding this heavy subplot in addition to the rest made the scenario messy and more complicated to follow.
Now don’t get me wrong, I loved all the lore around House Medarda and the development of Mel, but for me it deserved its own season or, quite simply, its own show. Focusing first on the conflict between Piltover/Zaun and — after it’s resolved — introducing Ambessa so we can switch to another huge plot while also introducing a new region, Noxus.
Making the show about how Hextech corrupts Viktor and Ambessa coveting this power was wrong, and it should’ve been kept as a subplot instead of being the main topic of season 2. Personally, I   am tired of “magic things corrupt people, people coveting this power, two cities initially fighting each other uniting their forces to defeat this evil” trope. It has been done a dozen times, and given how the first season was about Zaun being oppressed by Piltover, it’s not even bad writing or cliché, but wrong on so many levels.
Now what I think would’ve made season 2 better is if the writers had focused on trying to find a solution to make Zaun and Piltover coexist, without any discrimination, as equals. We needed the writers to address Vi's traumas; allowing her to be vulnerable around the people she loves the most; having actual meaningful conversations with Caitlyn or Loris. It would've been great to have Vi deepen her relationship with Loris, to see how they became close after their first encounter, and how come he became so loyal to her toward the end. Caitlyn should've made herself accountable for her actions; making a public apology toward Zaunites people about how she used police brutality to achieve her goals while blinded by grief, hatred, and vengeance; also, making a more personal apology to Vi in private, talking about how she felt, being honest with her. We needed Cait and Vi to have an open-hearted conversation in addition to the sweet physical touch. Them being finally a couple is great, especially when it comes to representation, but alas it was to the detriment of both characters’ development. It’s as if writers forgot characters can exist outside of their relationship.
Vi not pursuing Jinx when she was clearly suicidal is such an out of character moment that made no sense to me. Same for the fact that Vi apparently doesn't care about Maddie being Caitlyn’s side-chick. But as long as people have what they wanted the most (CaitVi sex scene), oh well…
Please spare us all from the nonsense that so and so was clearly hinted at by this or that. Or worse, the condescending “do the writers need to spell out everything for you to understand?”. You can’t excuse lazy writing by calling everyone else dumb. And look at Christian’s interviews — is this who you’re trying to defend?
Surprisingly, the writers did an amazing job at the start of season 2 with Jinx. She was way more interesting than she had been in season 1, and she is one of the best characters of season 2. Unfortunately, she was inconsistent throughout the whole season.
The writers should’ve treated Jinx, Isha and Sevika’s relationship better and developed it more. Isha sacrificed herself and this wasn’t addressed at ALL during Act 3, which is crazy given how she had a huge impact on Jinx. It made her death unimpactful, practically useless, and it shouldn't have happened at all given how the situation has been handled. Tragedy can be really good, but you have to commit to it until the end or else it’s going to be ridiculous.
We also needed more of Vi and Jinx’s reconciliation; an actual dialogue on screen. Many important conflicts — such as Caitlyn and Vi’s reconciliation and their joint plan to trick Ambessa, or the reunion between Vi, Jinx and Vander — have been settled outside of the screen, which is clearly proof of lazy writing and that the characters have been underwritten throughout the whole season.
Jinx should’ve stayed a symbol of Zaun’s resistance against Piltover’s oppression, and her relationship with her followers should’ve been more developed as well. The story should’ve addressed how Sevika went from trying to unite Zaun as much as she could, despite the mess following Silco’s death, to people turning on her, even ignoring her, and only following and listening to Jinx.
(One minute of silence for this blue haired dark skinned diva that didn’t deserve to die as an enforcer, you were destined to greater things than what happened to you).
Speaking of Sevika, the fact that she didn’t utter a single word in Act 3, despite having a seat on the council, is absurd, especially considering the importance of her character. Having her seat on this council is even more insane given her history with Piltover. Teasing Act 3 on Twitter with a thirst trap poster of Sevika doesn’t sit right with me either when this is what happened to her character during it.
Tumblr media
Arcane Season 2 Poster for Act 3
The characters were deeply underwritten, with wasted potential for some, all for the sake of fanservice. There were too many complex subplots added to the main story, which was already heavy. It feels like the writers completely lost the plot and couldn't understand their own characters, it’s disappointing.

ok so umm thoughts
Dont like that ori didnt get to do her 'going down to help despite dad's orders', unless somehow she did that as the, like what, twelve year old she's stuck as in that coccoon? So there's hers AND viktor's agency down the drain lmao
Singed actually being, if not corin, A reveck is still cool. Though idk why corin would be a separate person at this rate. I guess it's not impossible. In any case the locket has the initials C.R. on it in fancy writing so take that how you will
I love singed being goofy doing his own thing hes so funny
'No one in power is innocent' and also 'Patience is a virtue that comes with age, both of which I have in abundance' and like everything else in that scene. singed ily
I just love singed getting to be emotional. Getting to talk more and do more besides the baseline stuff in s1. Believe me i love those too bits too but i love singed BECAUSE he can have all this depth and is still somehow extremely silly lmfao
'Chin up, little one.' HE KNOWS HOW TO TALK TO CHILDREN. like we already knew that from his scene with viktor but it's just cool getting to see more of it. He knows how to talk to kids, how to interact with them, because he was ACTUALLY HALFWAY DECENT AT THE DAD THING. granted we dont get to see much of him being a dad with ori alive and walking around but im honesty willing to bet on it, because
Doesnt that make him MORE fucked up? That he would know how to be gentle, how to talk to kids, "Don't be afraid. You built this? Why aren't you playing with the others?" "Chin up, little one. We won't be in there for long." THE TONE OF VOICE. He CAN be decent, he CAN be kind, and he CHOOSES to experiment on and torture people and hurt people and let them get hurt for his own ends. Even his own PUPIL, he's willing to sabotage, just to get to warwick, for orianna. I have no doubts that he gives A shit about viktor, but he also loves Ori and he's put her in a coccoon and did she want that?
Besides the fact that he also could just see how the whole thing was some measure of fucked up and was like nah yeah thats not gonna last lmao heres ur warning kid, take it or leave it
In the moment i had thought that the instant cut from isha to singed at the rally was singed seeing that a kid was getting hurt and choosing that moment to act, but that could've also just been a cut to his reaction to cutting himself to draw warwick out, idk. This is just a footnote it doesnt matter much in the grand scheme of things lmao
Singed in a public space. Never thought i would see the day
THE BEDTIME STORY LITERALLY BEING THEIR SITUATION FFS
I will never recover from all this singed material. What's that? Viktor's started a cult? Jayce has a beard? Caitlyn's flip-flopping allegiances? Dude i dont care, im just here for singed. Look at him being goofy how could you not love him
Though to be real i am going to mourn the massive change to Ori's lore. What was so cool about the idea to me was how Orianna took her own life into her hands, first from dad, then death, and then dad again. I was baffled by it before, but upon rereading it i realize now why Ori left after giving dad her heart — he couldnt stop her from leaving anymore. It's framed as 'oh she's not human anymore so she has to find her place in this world' but it's really the root of her going down to Zaun in the first place: not the part where she's kind and giving, but the wanderlust. She wanted to go out and see the world, and Corin was always like no, it's too dangerous, you're staying here; and he was even pretty sucky about it by making the mechanical lungs require a key for winding, which he kept on his person up until he got sick. After the surgery, Ori took the key and left.
I'd thought myself that it was because she couldnt face him afterwards — i mean, she DID drug her dad and then perform heart surgery on him, using herself as the donor, all without his knowledge or consent; loving a gesture as it was it's still pretty fucked up LMAO — but i guess there's no reason for it to not be multiple things at once. And not like it matters much given s2 act2
One thing i find funny is how ori's image in the locket keeps changing. In s1 she looked like a lil baby, a preschooler maybe. In singed's arcane skin she looked like a teenager or even a young adult. Here in act 2 she looks like a tween lmao pick one rito
My thoughts are all over the place. Im no good at organizing. It's 12am and im brimming with energy.
Honestly no matter what happens, i think it'll be fine. Whatever riot declares as canon, you dont have to keep it. The thing about creative stuff like stories and characters is that once they're out there, they're not just the creators' anymore. That's the fun part about fanfic, we can just do our own thing and ignore whatever mess is going on in 'canon' lmfao
I like the idea of Ori's story being intact, and singed being corin reveck, and ori still going fullmetal and doing the heart surgery and leaving all before arcane even starts. I like the idea of s1 leading directly to all the fun fun fun stuff of league and LoR lore. Also i think singed doing all this unhinged science stuff and keeping himself alive just to preserve the last piece of his daughter, which she had given to him to save him, is pretty neat, so. I'm gonna stick with all that unless something absolutely drastic changes my mind
(Also i think it'd be funny if the worst man to ever walk Runeterra only came to exist/didnt die when nature said he should simply because his daughter, piltover's best most moral champion, loved him so much she gave him the last of her humanity to save him. Like congrats ori, your dad is still alive and kickin! Bad news is he has now aided and abetted imperialism/colonialism, chemical warfare, drug trafficking, and up to a thousand and maybe more awful awful human experiments and other crimes against humanity. Like can you imagine her coming back to piltover and finding all that out? That could mess her up. And wouldnt that be a neat character conflict to work out! Maybe with viktor who's also trying to find a balance between helping people and cold hard machinery! I love this little bubble and i will never leave thanks hahaha)

Rambling about Vi
ARCANE S2 SPOILERS UNDER THE CUT
I've been going through arcane s2 tag but I haven't seen anyone mention this so far, and I really need to talk about it.
Tumblr media
This post is about Vi, but more specifically -- Claggor's goggles and their symbolism. We know that Claggor's goggles were one of the things that Jinx kept after her bomb worked, and we know she used them frequently -- we see her wear them every time she works on something both in season 1 and in season 2 as well. Ever since season 1 the goggles were set up as a symbol -- of a life and identity lost, of Jinx's insanity and hallucinations becoming stronger and stronger, of lost innocence and fall into maddness and violence. And I love how now this symbol was passed onto Vi -- in such a vital moment of her journey as well.
Just moments before the group enters that hangout place (also, the way we keep coming back here, after all these years that passed between s1 arc 1 and s2 -- brilliant!) Vi decided to join the Enforcers -- the very people who for decades (at least!!) oppressed people of Zaun and treated them like animals, like dirt on the soles of their shoes that didn't deserve so much as to breathe. In that moment she's besically deciding to betray her people, but most importantly, herself -- the little girl who walked across that bridge and witnessed all the death and destruction the Enforcers sown, saw her own parents' dead bodies laying broken on the ground. She betrayed the older Vi, the one taken by Vander that followed him around, one that dreamt of getting the boot the Enforcers kept on their necks off and ripping it apart, so Zaun would finally be free of their brutality. She betrayed the Vi that was locked in Stillwater, beaten by the Enforcers for the simple crime of existing, to the point when anytime someone approached her cell, that's what she expected -- another beating. Young Vi saw the imbalance of power between the Enforcers and people of Zaun -- and she hated it. The Enforcers always had better weaponry, training, every advantage possible, and they used it in the most vicious way possible -- to oppress, to hurt, to make sure that people of the Undercity would never be recognized as human, as deserving to live and to have rights.
And now, Vi's putting on the badge herself. Now, she's the one with the advantage -- hextech weapons and bioweapons, things that even with the use of shimmer would be extremely hard to fight against. With that one action, Vi became the oppressor -- and while we see her refuse to acknowledge that until the very end of episode 3, to me her picking up those goggles was the first sign of her facing that reality.
Because Clagger's goggles are a symbol of the past -- the past where Vi was fighting for the right cause, to make her family's life better, to make sure there would be no more orphans in the Undercity. Vi is no longer fighting for the right cause -- she is now part of the causeless violence released onto the people of Zaun, onto the civillians, onto the kids. She not only stops to examine the goggles -- no, she picks them up and puts them on her head immediately, as a reminder of who she was, as a reminder of why she was fighting in the first place, as comfort because she no longer is who she was, she no longer fights for what she faught for in the past and she needs to belive that she's making the right choice in following Cait's lead, because if she faces the fact that she became everything she hated, the very thing that made her into the person she was in season 1, that'll break her. And Vi cannot allow herself to break. Not in the past, not now, not ever.
To me, the goggles are such a wonderful and important part leading to a) Vi's breakdown with Cait when she asks Cait to never change, and b) when she sees Isha protect Jinx with her body and aim a gun at her head, and realizing the fact that she's becoming to Isha what the Enforcers were to young Vi and Powder on that bridge, and that she was no longer fighting for the right cause.
Anyway, this is super chaotic, but I love how Clagger and Milo's memory lives on and still haunts the narrative for both Jinx and Vi. Just chef's kiss all around, what a wonderful show.
Also, English isn't my first language so hopefully this all makes sense lol.

The Drops of Trust
Part 1
The three of them being welcomed into this village—a tranquil haven in a world ravaged by war—was nothing short of a blessing.
Surely, those who stumble into a safe space after enduring so many sleepless nights should be beyond grateful.
The pristine order that the occupants of the village maintain should bring you a sense of looming responsibility.
There is a place for new members without exception. Being part of a well-balanced community is crucial for a good existence.
"If all of these things were valid, then ..." Vi whispered while playing with her sister's prosthetic finger.
"Oh! You didn't cut that crap yet?"Jinx pulled her hand back abruptly.
"Let Vi speak." said Isha looking up at Jinx and furrowing her little brows
"You didn't even let me get to the strange part!" Vi took off her jacket put it on the chair and picked up a bottle from the floor
"What, you are going to make me feel bad now for not listening to you? I would do that if you were not stinking drunk yet again!" Jinx exclaimed while she tried to take the bottle from Vi's hand
Vi stepped back from Jinx, her expression darkening as she shot her a scornful look, snatching the alcohol bottle from Jinx's pale hands.
As she headed for the door, she felt a weight tugging at her leg. Glancing down, she saw Isha clinging to her tightly. Without hesitation, she scooped Isha up into her arms and stepped out the door.
They went for a little walk; all you could hear were Isha's dainty steps and the clink of Vi's bottle as she chugged the alcohol.
"Why is it so hard for her to hear me out?" Vi looks down at Isha and pats her on the helmet. "It's not like I accuse them of being a damn cult for nothing, there are so many fucking signs" Vi takes another sip from the bottle and licks her lip scar clean.
"She is scared." said Isha in a muffled voice
"You should---"Isha turned her head and pulled on Vi's jeans, signaling that something was happening.
The only thing that the two could see was a figure that stood silently by the fountain. The pristine white robe that was covering their body seemed to be glistening in the soft light. Suddenly the robe's sleeve was soaked in blood. The figure raised their hand deliberately, letting the thick droplets of blood fall into the fountain. The person looked around while lowering the wooden lid.
Vi seized Isha in one swift motion, hurling the bottle aside as it shattered against the ground with a piercing crash. Without a second thought, she bolted toward their little hut.
Once they reached their so-called safe haven, Vi fell into the relentless grip of her nightly routine: drinking until the edges of her mind blurred, tossing and turning in a futile attempt to find rest, only to be haunted by the ghostly echoes of her long-lost lover. She hated the fact that she had to share her space with two other people when she yeared to feel alone. The constant remarks about her drinking and miserable state were not the help she was looking for. She kept tugging at the bandages that were wrapped around her chest, hoping that this would calm her down.
After a few hours of sleep, she woke up in a pool of sweat. Her muscles were sore and glistening in the morning light. She got out of bed and drew the curtain, only for her predictions to come true. She looked back at Jinx, her eyes were filled with fear and concern.
"Jinx, quit messing around with those damn gadgets and come see this"Her hand trembled on the blue and white curtain.
Ps: This is my first fan fic ever, so be nice, please. Also, if you have recommendations, please let me know,I want to improve my writing.
