Dad!Simon "Ghost" Riley w/ a sick baby Headcanons and Imagines list
Tumblr media
Am I back with the Dad!Ghost content? You know damn well I am, also yes the render I used is courtesy of our beloved @ave661 who's most definitely annoyed by my existence by now for constantly tagging her.
Will I ever stop writing Dad!Ghost? Fuck no, why? Daddy issues and baby fever, if you want anyone to blame, it's those two. And yes, I will be upset if this doesn't do well. (AHEM, MY SOAP POST)
Taglist of who I this would enjoy this and requested: @puff0o0, @blingblong55, @cutenote, @wise-owl and @connorsui. This last creator by far has given me the best fucking commentary on my work and I have more works on and coming about Dad!Ghost, genuinely thank you so freaking much, you made me cry 😭.
Tumblr media Tumblr media
I'M BACK! Let's start, shall we?
❥ Dad!Simon who's a very nervous first time father, well there's a first for everything and so is the first time your guys' baby got sick.
❥ Dad!Simon who immediately got them a check up, it was a common flu. Naturally medication and antibiotics were prescripted.
❥ Dad!Simon whose heart melts once he hears the soft whimpers of discomfort of the little on as they stir in the crib. The soft raspy cries and flushed chubby cheeks and warm, almost burning temperature.
❥ Dad!Simon who is trying his hardest not to look back the car seat when you were on your way to the clinic, to check on the baby whose little cheeks are bouncing a bit while being entertained by their pacifier, the little cooling patch on their head making their forehead crinkle a bit.
❥ Dad!Simon who was amused by how talkative the little one still is despite being so drowsy and in pain. Babbling their little heart out while sniffling.
"Dada!" the little on calls for Simon, almost in a screaming manner if it wasn't for the poor little thing's scratchy and sore throat.
They let out incoherent babbles to Simon as if trying to tell him something, as if they're chatting like they used to, the only adjustments being the constant sniffles and coughs. Them being reduced to their clogged nose while trying so hard to communicate. (Here's your visual)
Simon took the warm baby bottle from your hands to feed the little one.
"Bee, slow down.." A new nickname picked up by Simon to give to your little one, bumblebee, trying to tell them to slow down from chugging.
❥ Dad!Simon who never thought the baby wouldn't get any more clingy, at least not until they got sick. Constantly asking for "dada" and "mama" while he goes on about his day trying to help his wife, you, to keep up with the chores around the house.
❥ Dad!Simon who feels a bit guilty because he loves the comfort he's able to provide the baby, especially that they're not comfortable and less than happy with the sickness. Having the baby on his chest, patting their fragile back gently with a hand that's almost bigger than their body as their dad's heartbeat lulls them to sleep despite being irritable the whole day.
❥ Dad!Simon who joins in when the baby entertains themselves while playing with the various rattles and teething toys.
Bumblebee shaking the tiny rattle, a bit in frustration, knocking their self back. Luckily Simon had intense reflexes and managed to slip his hand in time between the cushioned but still quite hard floor and the baby's tiny head.
Simon let out a breath of relief, "You sure know how to scare me, don't you bee?"
The baby let out a strained giggle as their dad guided them to sit back up by their head and back.
❥ Dad!Simon who slightly chuckles when the baby's breathing starts picking up, their lips trembling into a pout, little doe eyes starting to get glassy from the tears forming with a pitched whimper, only to be silenced by a kiss from both you and Simon. The toll of the sickness only ever being reduced with yours and his affection.
❥ Dad!Simon who tries his best to make the baby take the prescripted medicine, that baby did NOT like the taste of it and he had to resort to sneaking it in their food to hide the taste of the bitter syrup.
❥ Dad!Simon who makes the little one blow their tiny nose.
"Come on pumpkin, copy dada okay?" Simon whispers while exhaling loudly out his nose, careful with the baby's sensitive ears.
The sleepy eyes of the little one trailing on him, trying to observe and copy, blowing their nose on the soft wipes Simon held against their nose.
After wiping it, Simon noticed how their nose now unclogged helped they sleep far more easier and with less frustration from them.

Sleepy medicine - Arsenal x reader
"I thought she was going to sleep?" Beth said looking over at Leah with a confused look
"She is supposed to be. I gave her NyQuil" Leah said matching Beth confusion as they saw you make your way further into the room with kyra
"Does she know you gave her that?" Viv asked giving Leah a look who rolled her eyes "no, she wouldn't have taken it if she knew"
"You drugged her?" Katie laughed with giant smile
"No, I just didn't tell her it would make her drowsy" Leah said defensively as Viv and Beth shook their head at Leah and Katie continued to laugh
“I know, I know” Leah said standing and making her way towards you, hoping you will finally listen and go to bed
"Your sick and should be resting" Leah staring at you sternly as you rolled your eyes "you gave me medicine, so I'll be fine" you said finishing with a yawn as Kyra nodded along with you
“We are going to play foos ball if you want to join” kyra said with a big smile
“I’m good” Leah said, sitting in the chair to watch, planing on how she was going to get you to your room once the game was over
Everything felt slow or funny as you continued to lose to kyra. Leah feeling slightly guilty at your confused expression as kyra cheered every time she scored
“I win!” Kyra cheered as you huffed with fake annoyance “rematch tomorrow” said Kyra walked away agreeing
Lia walked into the room and Leah instantly caught we her eyes and nodded towards you. Lia getting the message and heading over
"Lia" you with a smile as she pulled you in hug
"Why don't we go watch a movie?" Lia asked as she raised her eyes at Leah, knowing you were supposed to be resting
"Nope" you said looking up at lia before you walked away
“Where are you going?” Leah asked
“Don’t know yet” you said you continue to walk the halls
You stumbled a bit, only not tripping over yourself due to Leah catching you
"Seriously, we are going to watch a movie and your going to rest" Leah said sternly causing you to release your grip from her arm
"You gave me drowsy medicine didn't you?" You said glaring at her as you finally connected the dots on why you felt fuzzy
"Of course I did, you need to be sleeping so you can get better. Not wandering around like you are right now" Leah exclaimed
"I told you I didn't want the sleepy medicine!" You seethed as you glared her with your arms crossed
"I know and I gave it to you anyways" Leah stated frustratedly as she stared down at you
"Come on, let's get you to bed before get hurt" Lia said cutting them both off as she gently grabbed you hand and started to pull you to your room as you held your glare on Leah who ignored as she followed behind you too your room
“I'm not cuddling with you" you said as you pulled lia to lay next you, instantly cuddling into her side as Leah looked offended and went to say something. Only being stopped but the look Lia gave her before padding the spot next her.  Leah rolling her eyes as she laid down next to Lia and quickly put on a movie
"Kid, you know I didn't do it to hurt you or anything like that right?" Leah asked hesitantly, feeling guilty for giving you sleep medicine without telling you
"I know" you mumbled lifting your head from Lia side before rolling over Lia and squeezing yourself between Leah and her. Taking in both of there warm as you got comfortable and they moved to make room for you.
"Stop fighting it" Lia said gently
"Mhm not" you mumbled as Leah started to gently start tracing your facial features with her fingers, know it was a for sure way to get you to fall asleep
"Stoppp" you whined and you hit Leah hands away as Lia and Leah smiled fondly at you as you fought to keep you eyes open
Lia started to gently run her finger through your hair as they watched you take longer to open your eyes between blinks before they finally stayed closed. You having finally lost the battle to stay awake
"About damn time" Leah mumbled quietly, only receiving a warning look of stay quiet from Lia

Chum in the water
This isn't really stuff I'm into, but I got inspired to write this for a friend who is into it all.
TW noncon, TW somno, TW drugging
It was a good night. We had gotten food, played some games, and shot the shit for a few hours. It wasn't quite night, but the sun was setting and, suddenly, your allergies were kicking up. You're not from around my neck of the woods, after all, and it was pollen season.
I told you to hang tight, I had some allergy medicine. When I went into my bathroom, I was gone for a little too long. You wondered if I maybe had to go while I was up? Either way, you scrolled your phone and sneezed until I re-entered the room. I offered you two small, unmarked pink pills. We already had sodas, and you reached for yours. When you asked what the pills were I simply responded with "Benadryl." Off brand, of course, which is why they had no markings.
I informed you that it might make you a bit sleepy. Since the night was wearing on, you had no problem with that. We moved to my room. I had graciously offered you my bed. I said that I'd crash on the couch and would hang out with you until the pills made you too sleepy. It wasn't long, maybe twenty minutes, before a wave of lethargy hit you. I smiled and said good night as your eyes forced themselves shut. You don't remember seeing me leave...
For what seems like hours you float in your sleep, feeling odd and warm. You're cozy, but it also feels like there's a draft. You can't quite put the feeling into words, but you'd say it was nice. Then, almost like an old TV, you faded back into wakefulness. Not fully, of course. You might have even said you were still dreaming.
The first thing you noticed was the weight. It felt like you were being pressed against the bed. When your eyes flickered open, you saw me on top of you, sweat glistening in the moonlight leaking through the window. I was focused on something, and breathing heavily. That's when your gaze wandered lazily down, and you saw where we were connected. You wanted to tell me to stop, or to get off of you, but you still weren't fully sure if this was a dream, and it felt nice at least.
You moved to prop yourself up, and my hand pressed hard against your chest. "Don't get up, pretty thing. You're too sleepy to move, aren't you?" My eyes are locked into yours now. You slump back into the bed, and can vaguely tell that my hand is groping your breasts now. Involuntarily, you let out a soft whimper as I press against a sweet spot. "Good pet. I knew you would like it." A those words, you fall back to sleep.
More time passes in that trance-like state that the "Benadryl" has put you in. You're almost certain that you're moving the entire time, and when you come-to a second time, you find that you're face-down in the bed, your head turned to the side so you can breathe. You can feel more of your body now, and I'm still inside of you. I'm pumping hard and fast, grunting with effort as I slam into you. As you vocally stir, I grab your hair and lift you up. For a brief second you're wide awake, fear and arousal swirling in your subconscious. Then your drug-addled consciousness adjusts, and you're back to being impossibly drowsy.
I lean down, pressing deeper into you, and growl into your ear, "God, you're such a good fuck. I want to get you pregnant. I want to knock you up and you never even remember it was me. Take it. Take it, take it, take it." I press deep into you, my body shuddering. You can't help but pathetically whine in my grip and my load pulses into you. I let go of your hair, and you fall face first into the pillow. I slowly slide out of you, my hands still squeezing your ass. That's the last sensation you remember before falling back to sleep.
The next morning, you wake with a start. You shoot up and toss the blanket off. You're fully dressed, and completely clean. Cautiously, you close and lock my bedroom door and examine yourself in the mirror. You're not sore, and there's no lube or cum leaking out of you. God, was is really just a dream? You could have sworn...
You leave my room and slowly, quietly, make your way to the living room. I'm splayed out on the couch, snoring loudly. I certainly look like I was asleep all night. While you stand there, I stir, which makes you jump.
I blink up at you. "Hey. You're up early. Or... What time is it?" I reach for my phone and check the time. You realize you never even bothered. "Damn, it's already 10? We went to bed at like 8. Well..." I grin up at you. "I went to couch at 8 and you went into a Benadryl coma." You almost want to be mad, but you can feel your cheeks flush instead. "...? What's up? You look embarrassed. Oh! I know." You look at me, wide eyed. "The meds made you have a sex dream. Makes me have one almost every time." Your reaction only makes me laugh. "Knew it! Well. I hope it was good. Let's get breakfast."
And, with that, we have a very normal morning. We eat and shoot the shit, talking about what we're going to do today. You can't help but feel embarrassed that you had such a vivid dream about your friend that you're not even interested in. You can't believe how much it turned you on... Not that you could ever tell me that. I acted like nothing even happened, and you assumed that was exactly the case. After all, I had never shown any interest in you sexually. We'd barely even touched, except for times like this morning where I leaned in to show you something on my phone. And, well... When I rubbed your stomach for seemingly no reason this morning. But that didn't mean anything... Right?

Mini Mac # 46 : Monkey date
The monkeys goes on a date and the pilgrims are on babysitting duty
Wukong was leaning over the cubs’ crib, playing with the pups. Savage was looking up at him with excitement, pawing at his huge fingers in glee. Rumble was clutching his Wukong doll tighter, sometimes leaning in the soft touches of his Pa, rubbing against the pad of his fingers to have more pets.
“Come on, buds. Repeat after me, Pa.” Cooed Wukong, trying to coax his babies. It was his new pastime. He wanted more than anything to hear his pups’ first words.
“Aaaa.” Babled Savage.
“Pa.” Corrected Wukong as he booped his lil firecracker.
“Aaa!” She repeated with a lil blep.
“Pa, busy bee, Paaaaaa.”
“Aaaaaa.” Giggled Savage as she began to chew on his finger. Wukong sighed in fondness and let her do as she pleased. He then turned towards Rumble. It was always more difficult to make him blabber. He usually stuck to his mrrps langage. But the great sage learned that if he drowned his son in pets and snuggles the lil guy would be more willing to indulge him.
“Come on, puss-pouts, do it for me, say Pa.” Cooed Wukong as he petted the lil guy. Rumble slowly blinked up at him, he yawned, still drowsy from his nap.
“Aa.” Muttered Rumble.
“Pa.” Repeated Wukong.
“Wa.” Chirped Rumble, he then buried himself in his doll. Tired after so much effort.
“You're still trying to make them talk?” Chuckled Macaque. He was not far from the crib, crushing leaves to replenish his vials in different powder and medicine.
“It's a lost cause.” Snorted Bajie, he was reclining on the grass, arms crossed behind his head. Wukong huffed, he threw a glare at the pig demon.
“Well, I believe in them.” Replied the great sage as he got back to his cooing.
“We'll resume the journey tomorrow morning.” Informed Sanzang, he was dutifully polishing his staff with a wet cloth.
“I'll take the first watch tonight.” Hummed Wukong, he was not feeling very sleepy anyway.
“Actually, why don't you go out with Macaque for the evening? You guys are new mates and you don't have much time alone together.” Proposed Wujing. Bajie, Sanzang and Ao Lie perked up at the proposition. Both monkeys had been very… insistent in their courting as of late and it was becoming bothersome, for the lack of other terms.
Bajie still remembered the time Wukong brought back an outrageous amount of fruits only to impress his mate. It was hell to cook.
Wujing remembered when he got slapped by a demon's weapon because Wukong wasn't paying attention to the fight going on, instead looking back at Macaque every minute.
Ao Lie remembered when Macaque messed up the braid he was weaving in his hair because he was distracted by Wukong cooing at the cubs.
Sanzang remembered the night he stayed awake because of the two monkeys giggling and whispering sweet nothing to the other, believing no other heard them.
Gods, if those two could calm down their courting after one date, it would be great.
“What about the cubs?” Asked Wukong. He wasn't against spending time with Macaque but leaving the cubs didn't seem right.
“We'll babysit!” Replied Sanzang.
“You're sure?” Asked Macaque, he knew how tiresome his babies could be, especially Savage.
“We've never been surer.” Assured Ao Lie. Wukong considered the proposition. If he was honest, spending alone time with Macaque sounded great. Not that he didn't like his pups or his brothers. But… it would be great to have some quality time with his new mate.
“W-well, we could if you want to?” Tentatively asked Wukong as he glanced at the black-furred monkey. Macaque stopped grinding his leaves and nervously scratched his neck.
“Why not?” Replied Macaque. Wukong's tail wagged without his consent, the sage cursed and tied the unruly limb to his hips. Macaque snorted, he found it cute.
The great sage summoned his cloud with a flick of wrist, Macaque climbed on it and settled comfortably. Both monkeys left following the winds.
“Now we gotta be careful with the cubs. Especially Savage, she's slippery.” Warned Sanzang, he knew this from experience.
“How hard is it gonna be to babysit two brats?” Scoffed Bajie.
Ao Lie leaned over the cribs and winced. “There is only one in there.” All the pilgrims turned towards the crib and face-palmed. Rumble looked up at them innocently, as if his sister wasn't missing.
“This is gonna be a long night.” Sighed Wujing.
Meanwhile, both monkeys were admiring the starry sky. Macaque was sprawled on Wukong's chest, nibbling on the fruits the sage passed along to him. Perhaps it wasn't as romantic as it could be, but it was nice. They talked about silly things. Indulging in their more cheesy side now that they were alone.
“You know, your eyes are like rubies.” Mumbled Macaque as he looked up at the sage. Wukong snorted.
“You always become more cheesy when no-one is watching.”
“It's not my fault. You should stop being so cheesy-worthy.” Playfully huffed Macaque.
“Oh it's my fault now?” Smiled the golden monkey.
“It's always your fault.” Teased Macaque as he stuck his tongue out.
“You lil gremlin!” Chuckled Wukong, he took Macaque in his hands and began to tickle him. Macaque shrieked with laughter. Trying to wiggle out of Wukong's fingers in vain.
Wukong took pity on Macaque after a few minutes and stopped tickling him, instead he patted him on the head. Macaque smirked and kissed the tip of Wukong's fingers. The great sage flushed and glared at his mate. “You-” Grumbled the sage but he stopped himself. He got a devilish idea. The golden monkey brought Macaque closer to his face and smooched his head.
Macaque yelped and fluffed up, caught off guard by the affectionate gesture. “That was foul play.” Grumbled Macaque.
“Everything is fair in love and war.” Hummed Wukong.
They spend the rest of the night playing and talking. Basking in the other presence. When they got back to the camp, they found the pilgrims in a pitiful state. Sanzang was covered in mud, Wujing was removing twigs stuck in Ao Lie's hair and Bajie was on the floor, dead to the world around him.
Savage and Rumble were in their crib, peacefully sleeping, looking like angels.
“I don't think I even want to know.” Snorted Wukong.
+ cut scenes
Bajie *when Savage disappeared* : Where is she!? How is she so fast? 😧
Savage *hiding in the dark. Preparing to jump on one of them* : 😂🤭🤭
Sanzang : I didn't think baby monkey laughter could sound so ominous, but here we are. 😅
Ao Lie : ack! She jumped on me! 😣

Raining Tigers and Dogs
Ad lib: My friend, who gave me this idea after a vague description of them was given to them by me. (Thanks bud 👍)
For @anonymocha c:
Kaalaa Baunaa was, in the most simple terms, tired.
It was only natural, in hindsight; she, an astrologer, and all the pros and cons that came with it. Such was the fate of her work, and the death of 8 hours of sleep. Heck, she was lucky to get five, at least.
So, she was there, sitting down on a chair, leaning on her desk. She was breathing slowly, focusing on trying to remain awake just that little bit more, so she can observe the stars... just one more, right?
Unfortunately, that wouldn't come to pass, due to the sound of a familiar chuckle.
"Heya, Kaalaa." Medicine Pocket's teasing voice spoke out, and Kaalaa could faintly see the outline of that equally familiar (infamous, even, perhaps?) white lab coat.
Kaalaa Baunaa could barely give out a reply, just humming.
"Soooooooo, I have a question!" they cheerfully continued. "Let's say I asked you to test something. Would you?"
The astrologer blinked up at MedPoc, with the menace's teeth gleaming.
"...Let's say I did--?"
"Sign here!" and in front of her was a sheet of paper.
From Medicine Pocket's perspective, she merely gave it a once over, ticked the boxes, and signed her signature.
They swiftly took it back, and started to walk away. "G'night, test buddy~!"
Kaalaa watched as they left. And then, gave a small chuckle.
-------------------
The door slammed open.
"RIIIIIIISE AND SHIIIIINE, SLEEPYHEAD!"
Kaalaa rubbed her eyes, looking at the researcher who entered her room holding the document. Sitting in her bed, looking at them... it was oddly comedic.
"...Hm?" Kaalaa Baunaa tilted her head.
"Don't give me that, my dear friend! After all, don't you remember last night?" they looked smug. Very smug.
Let's fix that, with a controlled shock.
"...Did you see the boxes I ticked, perchance?"
Medicine Pocket blinked. "Eh? The fuck you mean--?"
They read through, and just above their name,
'The co-operative (Ms. Kaalaa Baunaa) agrees to help the individual who gave them this document (Mx. Medicine Pocket) in any situation, regardless of health, illness, location, weather, environmental happenings, ect.'
That was meant to be the trump card, and why they looked so happy when giving them it.
And it was unticked. Making it void.
"...Piss." they muttered, and spun on their heels--
"Wait." the woman spoke out, and the 'doctor' paused in their walk. "What was it meant to be? I never agreed to physically help you, yes... but, does that mean I cannot help you in simply discussing it?"
Medicine Pocket looked at her. And then, sighed. "Yeah, sure, whatever..."
They closed the door and walked on in, and sat down on the edge of her bed. "It was meant to help with drowsiness."
Kaalaa gave them a nod to continue, and they rolled their eyes.
"Now, yeah, sure, Sotheby already made that 'Hangover Over Potion' because of Lilya's alcohol addiction problem, but it apparently has some side effects, mostly the usual, like diarrhoea, vomiting, migraines, the words, basically.
"Now, this one I'm making won't have any of that, barring the headache. But that'll be there to see if it works. If it feels like a numbing sensation, excellent, should be over soon. If not? Tough shit, buddy, I guess!"
Kaalaa Baunaa could not help the laugh that left her. "You have an... interesting mind, Medicine Pocket."
They sighed again, putting their head in their hands. "Oh, just--! Call me MedPoc! Jesus, woman!"
"Then by all means, call me KB."
A groan, a laugh, and a silence, before the discussions started anew.
It was not a perfect relationship. But, really, what was?

Whumpee listened curiously from a different room while Whumper entered the kitchen with a bag of stuff he had just gone out to get.
They could hear Whumper grumbling. They figured they were complaining because Whumpee had gotten sick.
Whumpee whimpered as they pulled a blanket up to their mouth to cough into it. They sniffled some of their snot.
"Blow that shit into a tissue, not farther up in your nose", Whumper yelled from the kitchen.
"The tissues are making my nose hurt", Whumpee complained back.
"Get in here and take these", Whumper yelled again.
Whumpee got up from the couch and pulled the blanket closer to them.
"Are you feeling any better?", Whumper watched as they came in.
"No master", Whumpee looked at them pathetically.
"Take these then, how dare you get sick on me. Waste of money, but you are so annoying when you're sick", Whumper pulled out a glass and filled it with water.
"I'm sorry Master, I didn't mean to", Whumpee stepped to the counter.
Whumper had set out three pills and a cup of syrup medicine. Whumpee groaned, the pills were fine, but that syrup was the worst.
They grabbed the water and started to take the pills, they looked at the syrup sadly.
"Take it", Whumper commanded.
"I don't want to", Whumpee frowned.
"You can take it nicely, or I can force feed you, your choice", Whumper crossed their arms, "you are taking it though."
Whumpee looked at it again and pulled the blanket up to their mouth to cough. They tried to turn and run, but Whumper caught their arm and pulled them back.
"I don't think so", Whumper fought them to the ground and held them down, "open your mouth", they reached for the medicine, "you will not win this."
Whumpee eyed the medicine and struggled a little. "Please I dont....."
Whumper force opened Whumpee's jaw and poured the medicine in. They clamped their hand over Whumpee's mouth.
"Fucken swallow or choke", Whumper frowned.
Whumpee gagged a little, but managed to get it down.
"Did you swallow?"
Whumpee weakly nodded and started to cough.
Whumper removed their hand, "that's disgusting", they ran to wash their hands.
Whumper sat up and coughed some more.
"Why does that stuff have to be so gross? Plus, you made it worse", Whumpee complained.
"Kind of sad an adult can't take their medicine don't you think", Whumper eyed them.
Whumpee gave an annoyed look and stuck their tongue out.
"Go lay on the couch, you sickly idiot", Whumper started to spray some disinfectant and mockingly sprayed some at Whumpee.
Whumpee made their way to the couch and plopped onto it. Whumper carried out a cup of noodles.
"Eat this quickly. Some of that medicine will make you feel I'll without food."
Whumpee nodded, already feeling it.
"I feel like I'm getting really drowsy as well", Whumpee slurped some of the noodles.
"I gave you one of those sedatives, I'm surprised you didn't pay more attention", Whumper smiled.
"You what?", Whumpee looked at him.
"Eat", Whumper rushed them, "I'd rather you go out with something in your stomach."
"You slipped me a sedative?", Whumpee hurried to take another spoon full of soup. They hadn't eaten anything yet because they had lost their appetite. "Why did you do that?"
"You've not been resting enough, so I'm forcing you to", Whumper reached for the bowl, "I'm going to hold this so you don't drop it."
Whumpee weakly dipped their spoon into the broth again but didn't have the strength to bring it back.
Whumper rushed to shovel the rest into Whumpee's mouth, "just a few more bites."
Whumpee slowly chewed. They tried to prop their head up, but it kept falling.
"I didn't want to be sedated", Whumpee whined softly.
Whumper set the bowl aside and reached for a tissue, "blow your nose before you go out."
Whumpee tried their best. Their nose was raw, and the sedative was kicking in fast.
They watched Whumper leave and then come back. This time carrying a tub of Vaseline.
Whumpee felt Whumper spread the goop on their nose and lips.
"Thankyou", they whispered.
Whumper gently patted their head, "go to sleep", they pulled the blanket up.
Whumpee gave into the sedative fully.
Whumper rushed to wash their hands again.
"Watch me get sick too", Whumper complained, "never fails."

Am I a burden? - Jung Hoseok
Summary: You can't help but feel insecure due to Hoseok's insane success. This leads you to overworking yourself. But at the end of the day, Hoseok is gonna be your safe heaven.
Pairing: Idol Hoseok x Gn Reader
Genre: Angst, fluff, hurt comfort. Idol AU
Word count: 0.6k
Tumblr media
You had been acting weird. Hoseak had sensed something was off, but he was waiting for you to open up. In two years of dating you, he had learnt one thing : you never hid anything, you just needed time to sort stuff out in your Head. He understood it and patiently waited. Every passing day, you were getting busier, more exhausted and distant, and this was worrying him.
You dropped your bag besides couch as you came home and collapsed onto it. Hoseok wasn't home yet. You made no efforts to get up and change clothes or get something to eat. You just let yourself rest there. You were too tired; both mentally and physically, to do anything else.
Hoseok came back to find you laying on sofa. He picked you up and carried you to your shared room. You were burning up. He tried to wake you up, but you were in a such a deep slumber that nothing could wake your up at that moment.
Within a few minutes, Hoseok was preparing some soup for you in kitchen. You were really light sleeper so something was definately wrong with you sleeping like you are passed out. He put the medicines and soup on the table and tried waking you up again. You stirred and opened your eyes, still drowsy. "Here." Hoseok handed you the capsules. You stared at him blankly. "You have a fever baby, you need to take these." He said softly. You nodded slowly. Hoseok draped his hand over your shoulder. "You sure you're all fine jagi?" You looked down, mumbling, "I don't know." Suddenly feeling your eyes well up. "It's ok, I am always here, you know." Hoseok gave you a soft smile, opening his arms for you.
You scooted closer to him, resting your head on his chest. "Is there anything you wanna tell me? No pressure, just tell me anything you feel you wanna." You let out sigh. "Am I a loser Hobi? Am I a burden?"
"No!" He exclaimed, taken aback by your question. "You are the most hard working and sweetest person. I've ever met! Why do you even think like that? Are these thoughts causing this exhaustion?" He was shocked that stuff like this came to your mind in the first place.
"Hobi.... You are a kpop idol, insanely talented. and earning a lot. Seeing you there, makes me feel like I am doing nothing with my life. I try to do more and prove myself but that only adds to my exhaustion. I am so tired Hobi.... I want to show you I am capable but I end up being a weak loser "
"Hey, hey, first of all you are doing amazing already. I know how talented you are. You don't have to prove anything. And when It's hurting you? Never do that. You are NOT a loser. You are NEVER a burden to me. I love you so much . You know right? " He wrapped his arms around you.
You rested in his embrace, feeling all your exhaustion melt away. He patted your head. "Soup is getting cold baby. Come on take this." You pulled away, feeling better than before. Hobi was your comfort zone, afterall...

Note
I have a small idea for a whump prompt! It's a whumpee who's sick with something like a cold or flu and whenever they take medicine it doesn't do its job making it worse, or it does but at the cost of a difficult symptom to deal with!(or maybe they take more thinking it'll help) Especially if whumpee decides to continue on with their day like there's nothing wrong. :)
This is actually why I hate medicines. Here you go!
One more
• Masterlist •
Warnings: Medication, working through illness, sickfic.
Whumpee kept their head still between their two fists, their headache growing more. They knew it was not a good sign.
Whumpee could usually work through the cold easily. They would sniffle a bit, and wear one more layer, and the next day they would be fine.
Whumpee didn't think that was the case this time.
Whumpee reached to their bag, their hands starting to throb from the cold as soon as leaving their pockets. They searched for painkillers, not caring that they had already taken two this morning.
But they couldn't celebrate the victory, there was only one pill left in the whole package. It was strange. Whumpee remembered clearly that there had been half package when they left home.
That would explain their dazed state. Painkillers would always make Whumpee want to sleep, but they couldn't do that at work. Not because it was wrong to do, but because of all the noise and lights.
Even just sitting under the white light was fueling their headache, the occasional noises coming was snapping them back to attention. That was probably another gift from the painkillers.
Sighing, Whumpee weighted the options. The headache was their priority if they wanted to function even slightly.
One more wouldn't hurt.
It worried Whumpee that they had nothing left after swallowing the hard pill with their now-warmed herbal tea, but they didn't have any option. This had to hold them until the end of their shift.
Whumpee's vision blurred slightly as the second pill took effect. The edges of their reality softened, and the throbbing in their temples began to dull. Yet, the workspace, once a hive of activity, seemed to spin in a slow dance of colors and shapes. It was also calming, everything blending into a chaotic lullaby.
Still, sudden noises made them feel a little jumpy, but they tried to focus through all of this. The key word there was tried.
"Whumpee, are you alright?" Caretaker's voice cut through the fog, an anchor attempting to pull Whumpee back to reality. Whumpee blinked slowly, struggling to focus on Caretaker's face.
The concern in Caretaker's eyes was misplaced. Whumpee was fine! Truly. Just a little tired and drowsy... Whumpee forced a smile, or at least what they hoped resembled one. "Yeah, just a headache. Nothing to worry about."
Caretaker's brow furrowed with worry. They were having none of it, apparently. "
A headache that has you zoning out like that is something to worry about. Have you taken anything for it?"
Whumpee blinked again, trying to remember. The pills seemed to be doing their job, but they also clouded Whumpee's thoughts.
"Just a couple of painkillers," they mumbled, their tongue feeling a bit too heavy for their mouth.
"How many is a couple?" Caretaker's voice was firm, demanding a straight answer. Why did they have to be so serious?
"Maybe two. I don't remember," they lied. Whumpee was sure it was at least four.
Caretaker's frown deepened, and they took a step closer. "Let me see the pill bottle."
"Thrashed the package. It was empty."
Caretaker sighed, clearly not convinced. "You shouldn't be taking so many painkillers, especially without food. It's not good for you."
Whumpee tried to nod, but it felt like their head was swaying too much. "I know, I know. But I need to get through the day, and the pain was unbearable."
Caretaker crossed their arms. "You need a break. Even just a short one."
The words falling on their ears seemed to be stuffed with cotton. Whumpee tried to focus on the words, but again, they could only try. They chuckled weakly. "I'm invincible. Can handle it."
Caretaker's expression shifted from frustration to genuine concern. "Whumpee, you're not invincible. Nobody is."
Whumpee fought to keep their eyes open, the heavy lids threatening to surrender to the drug-induced slumber. "I'm fine, really," they slurred, attempting to stand straight but swaying a bit. Caretaker caught them, steadying them.
"No, you're not fine. You're barely standing. We can't afford to have you collapse or, in the office."
A wave of nausea surged through Whumpee, and they swallowed hard. They just had to sit down a bit.
"I'm going to call for a replacement," Caretaker said firmly, pulling out a phone.
"No," Whumpee protested weakly, waving a hand as if to dismiss the idea. Caretaker's voice became distant.
"We'll sort this out. You just rest. Someone will take over your duties for now."
The last thing Whumpee heard before falling asleep was the distant sound of Caretaker's footsteps, likely to handle the situation they had tried to prevent.

𝐒𝐢𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐞 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐠𝐨𝐮𝐞:
“I'm not sick. I literally do not get sick”
“I think I'm coming down with something.”
“Does my forehead feel warm to you?”
“I can't be sick right now! I have so much stuff I need to do”
“Baby, can you pass me the tissues?”
"Cmon, you know I don’t get sick.“
"My head feels funny”
"I just need some sleep, I’ll be fine"
"Please stop worrying"
“I’m wallowing in self-pity.”
"Couldn’t you keep your cold to yourself?“
"Stay still, you’re making me dizzy.”
"I’ll rest later! I have really important work stuff to finish.”
*sniff* “No, I don’t need a tissue.”
“I don't feel well.”
“Woah… Why is the room spinning?”
“Tissues are for sick people!”
“This isn't fair! Germs should see me and run the opposite way”
“You infected me...”
“I caught your stupid cold!”
*sniff* “We ran out of tissues.”
“Don't come too close. You don’t wanna catch this.”
“I'm really gross right now.”
“I don’t need you to check my temperature, I'm fine!”
“I thought the medicine was non-drowsy…”
“I’m not drinking it! It tastes disgusting!”
“I don’t think I can walk straight right now.”
“If you keep kissing me then you’re going to catch this junk.”
“I think that maybe…possibly… I might be sick.”
“Can we please just snuggle on the sofa?”
“I'm just trying to get all this work done! I have no time to rest.”
“All I’ve done today is catch your cold!”
“You don’t need to worry about me sweetie.”
“I’ve felt worst.”
“You probably shouldn’t kiss me.”
“Hey! You’re gonna catch this now.”
“Do I look okay to you?”
“I must look a mess…”
“Can you budge up, I wanna lay with you.”
“I'm going back to bed.”
“I can see you staring at me. You’re not discreet y’know?”
“Naps are only for babies and old people. I'm neither.”
“I felt funny this morning, but it wasn’t this bad.”
“I don't care what you talk about, can you just keep talking?”
“I'm a little out of it today.”
“We need to buy more tissues.”
“I do not have a cold!”
“I'm not pouting…”
“I'm allowed to be miserable.”
“Oh, I'm sorry. Is my sickness bothering you?”
“Are you sure? I don’t want you to get sick.”
“It’s a cold. I’ll live.”
“Hey! Don’t tease me whilst I'm sick!”
“Are you gonna nurse me back to health?”
“I'm not feeling too hot.”
“You better not complain when you catch this.”
“I'm just a little under the weather that’s all.”
“I don’t need you to nurse me, I'm perfectly fine.”
“Y’know… I heard cuddles can cure colds quick.”
“I sneezed twice, is that a crime?”
“You’re not going to drop this, are you?”
“You didn’t have to go through all this trouble.”
“Do you actually think I’ve had time to go out and get a flu-shot?”
“It's chaos here. I can't just stop working because I have the sniffles.”
“Don’t get lost in the sea of tissues.”
“I'm not grumpy.”
“I mean, sharing is caring afterall.”
“Can you just shut up for a second?”
“That medicine tastes gross.”
"No, don't worry, I'm totally fine. Just a little sniffle, that's all."
“I just can't stop sneezing!”
“I don’t get colds.”
“You don’t need to take care of me, I’ll be fine.”
“You’re really sweet for wanting to look after me like this.”
“I totally just got my germs all over you!”
"Ugh, of all the times to catch a cold, it had to be now."
“We were meant to go out tonight!”
“Did you come home just to look after me?”
"I don't think I can remember what it's like to breathe normally."
“I think I caught that bug you had.”
“My boss won't let me take a sick day.”
“I can take care of myself, thank you very much.”
"Why are you laughing at my misery?"
“Are you seriously going to say bless you every single time I sneeze?”
“I think I’m catching something.”
“I don’t want you to get sick too.”
“For the hundredth time, I am not sick!"
“Being sick is beneath me.”
"I'm convinced my immune system is plotting against me."
“I don’t have time nor energy to be sick right now.”
“Can you please stop pacing; you’re making me dizzy.”
"Ugh, the last thing I need is a stuffy nose. I have way too much to do."
“You gonna nurse me back to health then, show me some of that bedside manner?”
“Jeez, if that's your beside manner, I’d rather take my chances on my own.”
“Maybe I should get you sick too so we can be miserable together.”
"Is it getting colder in here, or is it just me?"
"I've got the whole medicine cabinet on my bedside table. I feel like a walking pharmacy."
"I'm tired of being tired all the time."
“You’re hovering…”
"I'm not dramatic; this cold is genuinely debilitating."
"Could you please turn down the AC? I'm freezing."
“Can you look after me?”
"I just want to stay in bed all day."
“I don’t need looking after.”
“Stop trying to feel my forehead.”
"I should've invested in a tissue company... sniff... I'd be their number one customer."
༘ ⋆。˚ ✧ ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚˚ ༘ ⋆。˚ ✧ ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚˚ ༘ ⋆。˚ ✧ ˚ ༘ ⋆。˚
𝐂𝐚𝐫𝐞𝐭𝐚𝐤𝐞𝐫 𝐃𝐢𝐚𝐥𝐨𝐠𝐮𝐞:
“Let me feel your forehead.”
“You feeling alright?”
“Bless you! Are you sure you're okay? You never sneeze this much.”
“Baby, I’m saying this in the nicest way possible, you look like shit”
“We need to get that fever down.”
“I’ve never seen you this sick.”
“So much for your perfect immune system.”
“Jeez, you look half-dead.”
“Let's get home so we can get you feeling better.”
“Thats it. You're going to bed.”
“Aw, you're all sniffly.”
“Wow. Bless you! That didn't sound too good.”
“I'm going to take care of you.”
"You look like death warmed over.“
"Bless you!… since when do you sneeze more than once?”
"You’re going to catch your death out here.“
"Slow down, you’re slurring your words.”
"Aw, your nose is all red.”
"You know we own tissues for a reason, right?“
"What are you doing up? You’re supposed to be in bed.“
"How did you get manage to get this sick, this fast”
"Date night can wait; your health is what’s important.“
"Blow your nose, I can’t understand what you’re trying to say.”
You can’t drive home in your condition.”
”There’s no way you’re going to stay home alone like this.”
“You shouldn’t be embarrassed, everybody gets sick.”
“I’m not going to take that personally, you’re high on meds.”
“You shouldn’t be walking around when you’re this sick.”
“You can barely stand, nevermind go out and do a full day’s work.”
“If you sneeze one more time, I’m going to start getting worried.”
“Baby… Are you sick?”
"Being sick is no fun, but it's a good excuse for extra snuggles."
“Do you need me to get you anything?”
“How about we just snuggle and watch some movies.”
”Bless you… Bless you! Are you okay- bless you again!”
“It’s not like you to get this sick.”
"I know you feel terrible, but you're still the strongest person I know."
“You really ought to be resting.”
“Can you make it back to the bedroom?”
“Hmm… I’m keeping my eye on you.”
“You’ll feel better if you go and lie down.”
"A little sniffle won't stop us from having a cosy movie night together."
“Stop sniffling and go blow your nose.”
“Maybe you should just take it easy.”
“You’re too stubborn for your own good.”
“You sound like you could use some more sleep.”
"Your sneezes are still adorable. Just saying."
“Aw sweetie, your nose is all runny.”
“Somebody’s certainly sneezy today.”
“Hey, hey, we can worry about that once you’re feeling better.”
“You’re past the contagious phase… right?”
“Make sure to drink plenty of fluids.”
“"I promise to disinfect every inch of the apartment.”
“Was it really worth getting soaked?”
"I'm not leaving your side until that adorable sniffle is gone."
“I told you to wear something warm.”
“Baby, I think this is more than just the sniffles.”
“There’s no way that you’d make it past lunch in your condition.”
"I've got a whole movie list ready for us to binge-watch.”
“We could shower together if that’d make you feel any better.”
“Goodness, you look like your about to pass out.”
“Baby you’re delirious.”
“Do you need me to carry you?”
“You’ve been sniffling all day.”
“Those sniffles of yours really turning into something, huh?”
”There's way you're going out. Not with that cold.”
“You’re looking a bit pale sweetheart.”
“Use a tissue for god's sake!”
“You’re not one to go quiet, what's up?”
“My poor baby is all sniffly, aren’t you?”
“Oh honey… You can't be outside like this.”
“Don’t be offended or anything. But you look horrible.”
“I think you caught my cold…”
“It sounds like you’ve caught that bug going round.”
“You’re in bed early. You feeling alright?”
“Oh my god. You’re completely burning up!”
“I think your fever is spiking.”
“We should get you into bed.”
"I'll be right here by your side until you're back to your kickass self."
“Cmon, let's get you into the shower.”
“You need a tissue?”
"I'm canceling all our plans for today.”
“Jeez, blow your nose before you drown in your own mucus.”
“Don’t worry, I'm gonna take care of you.”
“How long have you been like this?”
"Don't worry about the chores or errands. Your only job now is to focus on getting better."
“If you’re trying to be subtle, I'm sorry but you’re doing an awful job.”
“I bet I could toast a marshmallow on your forehead.”
“I think you have the flu, nobody’s ever this sick with a cold.”
“Come on, let's get you wrapped in warm.”
“Let’s get you in the shower.”
“We’re gonna stop at the pharmacy, okay?”
“You’re home early?”
“Do you not see how pale you are right now?”
“Cut the crap. I know you’re sick.”
“Hush now, otherwise you’re going to lose your voice.”
“I don’t think that’s exactly hygienic.”
“You’re kinda cute when you’re all sick and needy like this.”
“I'm going to give you some tissues and pretend I never saw that.”
“If you don’t get into bed willingly then I will personally carry you there.”
“I thought you said that you were feeling better?”
“You don’t need to be embarrassed; you’re allowed to be sick.”
“Are the rumours true, is the (name) actually sick?”
“I’d kiss you right now if you weren’t contagious.”
“You’re too stubborn for your own good.”
"Oh, darling, you look positively adorable with that sniffly nose of yours."
“I told you that you should stay home from work today.”
“Okay Ms I’m-not-sick, tell me why you sneezed five times in the span of an hour.”
“Are you done pretending you’re fine?”
“The only place you’re going is back to bed.”
"You always push yourself so hard, but it's okay to take a break sometimes."
“Did you manage to get much sleep? I heard you tossing and turning all night.”
“You’ve really got the sniffles today, haven’t you?”
“I’m not leaving you until I know you’re better, and that’s final.”
"When were you planning to tell me you were sick?"
"You're the strongest person I know, but even the strongest need some rest."
"If there's anything you need, don't hesitate to ask. I'm here for you."
"You're sick. If you overexert yourself, you're gonna get sicker."
“Great… Now I have your germs all over me.”
"I'm here to nurse you back to health, so just focus on getting better."
“I swear to god, if you don’t get back in bed, I will physically drag you there.”
“Your boss called me to come pick you up.”
"It's okay, you don't need to worry about getting me sick."
"Did you seriously hide the thermometer?"
"I love you with or without the sniffles, but I'll admit, the sniffles do make you even cuter."

whatever keeps you around
pairing: io laithe / estinien varlineau setting: modern au word count: 696 i'm sick so this was bound to happen.
After two soft knocks, Io leans against Estinien's door, waiting for an answer that doesn't come.
Hm.
Maybe he's asleep. He's on day three of a bad flu and, as far as she can tell, he's barely left his room.
"Hey, you hungry in there?" She asks just loud enough for it to carry through the closed door. The question hangs in the silence for a long moment, long enough that she considers taking the bowl of soup back to the kitchen.
He manages a low, coarse grunt of assent from the other side of the door. Io lets herself in.
She steps around the pile of laundry from his overturned basket, evidence of the search for his most comfortable pajamas. His nightstand is littered with tissues; she places the soup among the mess before sweeping them into his trash bin and pulling it closer to the bed. She turns on the lamp.
Estinien rolls to face her, hair sticking up in odd directions. His nose is a sore shade of red and the same color rings his sunken eyes. He is the picture of misery, but there's a glow of warm relief at her arrival.
"Hi." The word rakes through his throat and sends him coughing. Io's own chest aches as she passes him a bottle of water and waits for it to subside.
"Move over, let me sit with you," Io says. He doesn't protest. She shuffles the pillows into a shape that allows him to sit comfortably, then climbs in next to him, her back against the headboard.
He doesn't say anything. His pained little smile is thanks enough.
"Soup?" She offers him the bowl. "It's vegetable. There's celery in there, I'm sorry. But you won't taste it–can you taste anything right now?"
He rattles out a groan but takes it from her. "I guess we'll find out."
"It's time for medicine too."
"Non-drowsy?" he asks through a mouthful of soup (she made it herself; her dad's recipe from which she refuses to deviate, not even for Estinien's hostility towards celery, not that he seems to mind).
Io shakes her head. "Nope. Unfortunately, this could tranquilize a horse. I'll get more of the other kind before you wake up. I promise."
"Why did I let you in if you're just gonna feed me stuff I don't like and knock me out?" Most of his consonants come out with the same blunted sound, victims of his stuffy nose. Io holds back her laugh and passes him two dark green capsules. He pops them and they sit in easy silence while he finishes the soup.
She takes the bowl. "Not so bad, was it?"
He shoves two pillows her way and burrows into his comforter again. "Pretty good. More for later?"
"Yeah, I made a lot." She closes her eyes and tips her head back until it meets the wall. His labored breathing comes softer and more slowly. Something about it makes her ask, "Should I call Vic?"
"No."
"Don't want him to see you like this?"
"It's not that. Just…" He looks up at her with his red-rimmed eyes, soft, and so exhausted in the lamplight. She pulls the chain to turn it off. "No, you don't have to call him"
She smiles. "Want me to stay with you?" The real ending to that question forms on her tongue and stays there: "baby." She holds it there, like she wants to hold him.
"You'll get sick," he says.
"So you face that way, and I'll face this way and stay out of the blankets." Io moves the pillows behind her and waits for Estinien to roll over. When he does, she mirrors him, back to back. Each of his heavy breaths feels more steady than the last. "I'm right here if you need anything."
She closes her eyes again.
"Thank you, Io." A final whispered rasp as his weight settles against hers.
He'll fall asleep, and she'll run out to buy the daytime cold and flu medicine. But for now, Io lives in the long, easy spaces between his exhales, elated by the simple fact that Estinien wants her here, and no one else.

✞SELFSHIPTOBER✞
Day 10: Warmth
~✞~ ~✞~ ~✞~ ~✞~
Characters: Jyuto and Poison (me)
Relationship: Long distance dating
Tumblr media
~✞~ ~✞~ ~✞~ ~✞~
Poison got sick. Maybe it was the change of weather or they got it from work. But either way, they were sick. Poison hated being sick. They hated the stuffy nose, the fatigue, not getting sleep at night, and just the overall feeling like shit. As soon as they are sick, they just want it to be over.
Jyuto was trying to convince himself not to hop on the first plane to America to see Poison. But they kept telling him no. They didn't want him getting sick as well. This was killing Jyuto on the inside, having to watch his lover suffer through the screen.
"Are you sure you'll be okay?" Jyuto asked. He looked at his laptop screen, watching Poison as they laid in bed. "You look like you've gotten worse over the week"
"I'll be fine. I promise. I have tea, soup, orange juice water, and medicine. I've done this so many times before" Poison sounded stuffy. Their nose was slightly red from blowing their nose so much.
"Yes. But you have me now. Which means you don't have to do all this by yourself"
"You're also in Japan"
"I can move you in until you feel better"
"Which means I would have to get on the plane sick."
"I'll just move in with you till you get better."
"Jyuto, please," Poison chuckled before sneezing again. They groaned as they grabbed tissue and clean their nose. "I don't want you getting suck okay. I'll be fine. The doctors said it's just a small cold. I'll get over it in due time"
Jyuto sighed as he leaned back into his desk chair. He tapped his fingers on the arm rest as he watched Poison take shot of the medicine they needed to take. He chuckled at the face they made.
"It doesn't taste good?" He joked.
"Of course it doesn't. It taste like chemicals." They rolled their eyes as they drunk from their water junk.
"It's not supposed to taste good"
"I know but still" they sighed, wrapping themsevles in blanket. They turned towards their tablet screen. "So, what have you been up too?"
"Nothing new. Had to bail Samatoki out of jail" Jyuto smirked.
"Jail? What did he do?"
"He beat up a guy."
"Why?"
"Like if I know. He refuses to tell me. It's has to be for an idiotic reason."
Poison chuckled weakly. "You know. You and Rio are like a married couple and Samatoki is your rebellious emo son"
Jyuto raised a brow. "Excuse me?"
"Yeah. You're the mom, Rio is the dad and Samatoki is your emo son"
Jyuto figured this was one of Poison's online Fandom related jokes. "And why am I the wife?"
"Cause you cook for me, clean for me, and look beautiful in white"
Jyuto's eyes widened. He wasn't expecting that from Poison. They flirted and teased him, yes. But this wasn't their normal everyday cringy flirting. This acutally made his heart skip a beat. He felt his face become warm.
"That medicine is making you drowsy. You're speaking out of your ass" He rolled his eyes and turned his chair around as he looked down at a folder. He was trying to hide his blushed face from Poison despite them already seeing it.
As the day continued for Jyuto, it was getting later and later for Poison. They were dozing in and out of sleep as they tried to stay away to talk to Jyuto. He would listen to their tired rambling, finding it a bit cute. He could tell the medicine was working a bit. They were sleeping with waking up to blow their nose. They didn't sound congested as their slept. But it still hurt seeing them this way. The dark rings under their eyes seemed to have gotten dark ever since they got sick. He hated seeing how exhausted they were. Poison naturally looks tired, but this was something way different.
He could also tell they felt alone while being sick. They couldn't have company over. Video calling was their only source of having true company. Normally, Poison would have logged off for the night when they went to sleep. But it was clear to Jyuto they wanted him there as long as they could, even when they were sleeping.
Jyuto snapped out his thoughts about paperwork when he heard the shuffle of Poison moving in their sleep. They had turned to their other side, their back now facing him. He was about to go back to his work when he realized Poison was wearing one of his blazers he had left there the last time he visited. He couldn't help but roll his eyes and chuckled. It was adorable to him.
The blazer was a comfort item to Poison. They wore it all the time when Jyuto was away. It gave them warmth, but they couldn't explain. It was a forever hug from him. The only time they would return it was when they visited each other. Poison would have Jyuto wear the blazer to get his cologne scent back on it before taking it back when they left. Jyuto was getting close to just ordering the same brand he used and sent it to Poison so they could just spray the blazer when his scent was gone. But that ruined the fun.
Jyuto leaned back into his seat and sighed. He wanted to wake Poison up so they could take their medicine again, but they seemed relax for once. He didn't want to ruin it. He took a picture of Poison sleeping in his blazer before sighing.

Hi Chaii! If it's not too much trouble, I'd like to be 🦁🐻🦒 anon (it was supposed to be a zoo, don't judge me, I tried to be creative)
I came here just to talk a little and maybe make some reflections. Did you know that yawning, tearing, sniffling, or sighing isn't just a good sign? These are ways for your body to eliminate the energy that is accumulated, normally bad, during the practices we do, but did you know that an excellent sign is a chill? One of my many mentors says that chills represent a "change of state," whether for good or bad. For example, if you have a chill in the middle of the practice, it may be that you are in a bad or neutral state, and it indicates that you are changing to a good state. But before you say that chills are bad, let me clarify that I'm not talking about cold sweats, no. I'm talking about really good ones. Imagine this scene: you are on a cold, very cold day, 2 warm sweaters are not enough, and then, it's time to take a shower: imagine that very pleasurable moment, you are naked, in the shower box, and then you turn on the register and the water is so warm, like a hot spring in the cold glaciers of Japan where little monkeys love to bathe. You don't go in at first, but you just stay there, observing all the magnificence of the water and all the power it has. The same water that kills the body is also the one that kills the thirst. And you feel that rush of hot steam, and the little messy droplets splashing on your skin and giving you goosebumps. That chill is what I'm referring to. I feel these chills several times: When it's a cold day and I go to lie down with 3 blankets and while I wait for the cold on my feet to pass I just feel gratitude for having somewhere to lie down and sleep and the pleasure of being so warm. But I also feel this while I'm very relaxed (after meditating, psych-k, etc.) and then listening to music that I really like. The music of your soul is the one that makes your spine shiver when you hear it. Be proud of the music that makes your heart beat for it. Or when, in that same state of relaxation or during music, I affirm things that touch me very deeply. Some of them are: "If you found out about this, it's because there's a reason" (referring to emptiness/loass) "If you want this, it's because there's a reason" (I'll talk more about this later) "I'm doing everything right" (I also use this in 2nd person, it's very comforting) "I want, I can, I get" (The catchphrase of a character I really like) "At the end, it's me who decides" (this is a personal mantra of mine, as a gift) What do you think of this? Bye, until next time!! S? :3
oh yes I do agree! there are lots of different symptoms that can come from doin' psych-k. it's interesting to hear from anons talkin' about their different experiences— especially a 'chill'. personally, I've experienced lots of tingling in the head, as well as the feeling of pressure in certain parts of my skull. I think the main reason why I like psych-k is because I can feel some kind of physical change, and that might not be the same for other people, but there is always a chance that something will happen.
some people cry, some people's eyes randomly water, some people sweat, some people cough, some people sneeze, some people get dizzy, some people get drowsy— the list goes on and on, psych-k is low-key like a medicine and there's just a bunch of potential symptoms written on the bottle for it—
ty for sharing by the way, and welcome to the anonnies!!!

I was rewatching emesis blue and wanted to dig a bit deeper into some scenes. These are mostly theories tbh
CONTAINS SPOILERS
Starting with the valium/diazepam thing. Of course it's a real medicine, specifically for Anxiety, muscle spasms, and seizures. One of the side effects is feeling sleepy or drowsy which is recommended that you don't drive. It is also very addictive.
Which makes me think, was Medic addicted to it? We see that he later died from crashing the ambulance due to drowsyness or an overdose (considering what had happened prior and an ambulance would probably have those on hand).
Another one of the side effects was hallucinations, which makes me think that these events where Medic only sees it are just hallucinations (2:13 13:35 16:00 1:04:46 1:07:58 1:15:00). "But then why did soldier and demo have these 'hallucinations' as well?" Because they might've had the Valium too. Demo hallucinating the bar, soldier seeing the warzone, and it makes sense that these weren't shared, each one had their own.
Like most if not all horror movies, people who have been affected by someone who is possessed, they believe that it was the person and not any type of demon. And authority is less likely to believe it as well, considering the fact that spy has not actually been hallucinating and was fighting actual other humans in his eyes.
That's all I have really. I may be wrong or stating the obvious, but ye that's all

Opening up about mental health, the healthcare system, and my diagnoses
I'm no stranger to therapy. Though I've never lasted longer than 6 months, I've tried different therapists over the years. I know I need to dig in and do some deep, hands-on work. I've gotten by with some of the tools they've given me, as well as my own efforts at attempting self-help.
In May, I went back to therapy and also saw a psychiatrist for the first time ever. I did a psych eval with her last week.
I received a diagnosis of anxiety, PTSD, and Bipolar. These are also things the therapist had evaluated me for and talked to me about. I scored high on her tests for them. I've always been good at tests...The damn test was how I got my bipolar diagnosis in 2010. Some NP at a walk-in clinic gave me a couple assessments and heard my story about how I reacted on Prozac. Said that depression was only telling half the story and gave me some meds. I had to go off them after a couple months because I got pregnant, but that was as far as I ever went in my Bipolar journey.
Since 2010, I had distanced myself from the Bipolar dx and label. Not only did I not like the stigma, but I just didn't relate to it as much as other things. Borderline seemed to address a lot of similar symptoms. At one point, I even thought I had DID. In 2020, like many chronically-online Millennials in the pandemic, thought I might have ADHD. For much longer, I've considered that I have OCD.
But for now, my doctor is choosing to treat the Bipolar and said she didn't "get ADHD vibes from me" and for now, she wouldn't agree that I have ADHD (I got through school, I finish my work on time, I paid attention to her questions --those were her reasons). She said I might have OCD tendencies based on what I described but she didn't fully label me as OCD or change my treatment at all.
She did say that over time, things could change--as in additional dxes might be given or they might be changed. And of course, we might try different treatments. It's all trial and error.
To start, I'm going on a mood stabilizer (Vraylar) and an anti-anxiety medicine (hydroxizine). I hope I can find the right combination of meds and that the side effects will be minimal and manageable. I havent been on a mood stabilizer in a long time. I don't really remember much about it. I've tried many different anti-depressants and Xanax. The anti-depressants always seemed to make me worse and Xanax just makes me sleepy as fuck.
My doctor gave me an overview of the Vraylar and Hydroxizine. She told me the symptoms and what to look out for. But then reading the pamphlets about them gave me a whole different perspective. Drowsiness was the big one that stuck out to me for both--not only did she not warn me about this, but she even told me hydroxizine wouldn't cause me to be sleepy and I could take up to 400mg a day and I'd be fine. It would help me sleep, but it wouldn't put me to sleep, like Xanax would, in her words.
Like many anti-depressants or mood stabilizers, Vraylar warns of potential weight gain. But it also can cause high blood sugar and high cholesterol. I already have elevated cholesterol so that's unfortunate. I didn't tell my psychiatrist this and now I am wondering if she'll switch meds when I do tell her. I'm not sure why I didn't mention it. All those potential side effects worry me though. I already struggle with my weight and because of my PCOS, I am pretty much already at risk for diabetes--though no tests have come back to indicate that I'm even pre-diabetic, so that's good. The cholesterol is something to worry about though and I will bring that up when I see her again.
Drowsiness is the worst symptom though and I'll tell you why. It's because I switched back to Zyrtec for my allergies and even though I take it at night, it's just a lot. it makes it hard to get up the in the morning. I can handle it okay during the day when I halve the pill, but I still end up dragging around, fatigued. I hope my body adjusts. I don't want to be tired all day. I have horrible allergies and have been receiving allergy shots for them, which contributes to fatigue on shot days. I can't live my life like a zombie all the time.
Just feeling overwhelmed and frustrated and annoyed. I know it's going to take time to adjust to both new medications and even to the Zyrtec. And if Vraylar and Hydroxizine don't work, it will be onto something else. I'm just eager to get it right and feel fulfilled and content. I want to be able to workout if I want to. I want to relax if I want to. I just don't want to be ruled by fear or lack of energy or zero motivation. I want to be in control of my body. Drowsiness is opposite of this.
Onto the PTSD...that shouldn't have surprised me, but it did. I wasn't expecting that. I don't know if the meds will help with my PTSD symptoms. But I know that my stepmom and her sister both receive ketamine treatment periodically. Both of them have bad depression and it helps them tremendously. According to the website, it helps with PTSD and bipolar symptoms as well. So I've considered that as an option, but I want to try meds first.
That brings me to the other issue--cost. I'm lucky that I can pull together the funds when needed and tighten up spending enough to afford these expensive-ass therapy/psych appointments. I also have a boyfriend I live with who makes almost 2x what I do and can pick up the slack or give me money if I really need it. Most people are not in that situation. There are people in my own family who cannot afford certain things. Mental health is a luxury to them.
Something so important and life-changing is a luxury that they can't afford. It's tragically common. Health insurance in the US is a joke. I can't even bill them for these sessions. It's not that they don't cover any mental health/behavioral health (though that's part of it sometimes), it's that the places I have visited do not bill health insurance for some reason. Maybe it's harder to work with them. maybe there's something about the way they bill. I truly do not know. But it's expensive as hell and I know if it were easier, they would bill insurance.
So yeah it's hard enough that I have to scrape together the money and really budget out my spending and think of every dollar. But there are people who have to do this with groceries, with feeding their children! People who have to choose which bills to pay. They can't just scrape together some extra money and spend it on mental health. Those people are fucked. and then their kids, who grow up in poverty or who are surrounded by this constant survival mentality, will grow up traumatized and in need of therapy they can't afford either. The cycle continues.
Does the government care? No. This system isn't built well and it's failing the people who need it the most.
I could talk more about the PTSD and Bipolar. what they mean to me and the symptoms I'm having. But I'm tired (go figure) and this is all I can manage.

Pharmacists just kinda pissed me off. They weren't really in the wrong, they were doing their job. They just seemed very condescending about it.
Rant under the cut. Just need to type shit out
"If you take these medications together you will be drowsy and dizzy" (talking about muscle relaxers, klonopin, and hydros)
"Oh I know. I've been getting these meds since I was 16. I don't take all of these together. I'd fall right asleep."
"Oh okay." *grabs another pharmacist*
2nd pharmacist: "We just wanted you to know that taking these meds together can cause side effects like drowsiness and dizziness."
"Yes, like I said, I've been on all 3 of these for over a decade. The muscle relaxers alone make me fall asleep and are only for emergencies."
"You also shouldn't drive or operate machinery after taking these meds."
"Ma'am I am aware."
"We just want to make sure you know the side effects."
"Again, like I said, after a decade, I know what to expect. Thank you so much." And then I drove off.
Like yes they should absolutely warn patients about side effects! But if I have made it clear that I know about them, why keep repeating the same info over and over?? Like girl I know more about the side effects than you do
Side note: I did take all 3 together in high school and was fuuuuucked up in class🤣 that's why I know not to mix them lol. My junior year of high school, I got out of PE half the time because I told my coach that "the medicine makes me feel like noodle" and then I'd sprawl out on the bleachers like a squid
They really were kinda wild for giving a teenager hydro 10s, flexiril, and klonopin all at once lmao but it was VERY needed. When my scoliosis first formed that was the worst my back pain had ever been
