Mouthwashing is genuinely one of the first fandom spaces in a while where I’ve seen people outright refuse to curate their own personal spaces and try to shame people for not making what they personal like/believe

Like this is not saying ignore any issues that come up or whatever is serious but like on the general terms of just not interacting with things that are not your personal take or interpretation, a genuine refusal to just look at and create things that you like.

Constantly seeing people repost art without credit to shit talk it and excusing it because “well it’s bad cause insert deeply personal and not actually a valid justification”, calling out people for silly comics or differing interpretations. Its not just a holier than thou mindset it’s just a weird hatred for things not specifically catered to you or your view point at this point and like it’s seriously the case of just follow and like what you want to see and block, mute or whatever doesn’t fit it.

Take this out of context all you like, but I just so odd to me to try and force people to interpret and engage with a media that is supposed to be purposefully vague and open in certain areas. Or just be mad that people like to play with and explore the characters outside the story, in different settings or with twists in events.

Like why is it an issue that someone is having fun with the game in a different way than you?

then we put them nicely onto a rebloggable post, give people different color options and shapes, throw in lil graphics to give it a certain flair

I stopped making icons for months because my posts would get like 13 notes (most of them likes) and yet I'd see the icon be used by more than 13 people - NONE OF WHICH LIKED OR REBLOGGED THE POSTS

I've even seen people take my icons (again who didn't like or reblog the original post) and edit them and use them for something else WITHOUT MY PERMISSION or give me credit

strangest thing about being active in fic communities especially as a writer is how often i just see people complaining about all the stuff they hate in fic?? like in my/others’ comments or tags or even just posts on my dash being like “oh i hate this au and this au and this au and i can’t stand this trope and this hc makes me want to stab someone and usually i hate this sort of fic but i guess you did it alright and i don’t know why people like this widely accepted but inconsequential fan theory bc i personally hate it bc i only care about canon. and i also hate this au btw.” like why are you even here if the only things you want to read are canon compliant in-universe fics that don’t integrate any popular fanon theories or hcs or interpretations that can’t be backed up with 3 pages of meta analysis to prove it could happen. that also align exactly with your specific tastes. And you’re in fic writers’ comments telling them all the things you usually hate about fics that are in their fic but are bestowing upon them the honor of your approval This One Time. like do you guys even have anything generally positive to say about something that is your own interest and/or hobby be honest

Put the gott-damn laser down let me explain. I made a small, hard-to-see mental rambling to myself about Juno's visual design and wondered if I could make any connection to why he's named like that.

My immediate assumption was possibly the Roman goddess of love and marriage. Juno's got a primarily white color scheme, and his body is kinda shaped like a wedding cake (or even a bell, based on someone else's words, so a wedding bell?). And as I'm thinking about that on top of being distracted by his hair, I realized I could reference its motions like a veil. It drops down neatly all around his shoulders.

I for one don’t think Louis is average at all. I don’t think we’re watching the same person. He went from almost giving up to pulling a crowd of 70k on his own. If that’s not trying I don’t know what is. Yes, maybe he shouldn’t mention he’s hungover or mention a croak. But I don’t think that’s a lack of confidence or professionalism. I think it’s him being humble and actually being comfortable enough to mention it to his fans that he has a close relationship with. I think it actually says a lot that he does mention this because he wants to give the best show possible and is giving an explanation as to why it may not be 100%.

I see so many comparisons to Harry, but Harry is a completely different performer than Louis. While Harry loves the “showboatiness” and the dramatics of performing, Louis doesn’t. And that’s okay. People always compare to Harry who has a completely different concept of how he wants his shows to go. But don’t compare him to someone like Niall, who gives a similar show to Louis. Yet I don’t see anyone saying Niall is a less than average performer.

Lastly. Louies aren’t going anywhere. If they are it won’t be due to Louis’ shows. Louis who almost didn’t even tour, but did two tours almost back to back because he loved it so much. Louis who jumps into the crowd every night, when I’m sure there are nights he doesn’t want to, because he knows how much the fans enjoy it and look forward to it. I personally think Louis puts on one hell of a show, he creates this atmosphere that I can’t even explain, it’s a feeling I only feel when I’m at his shows. And personally, I would go to a Louis show if he just sat up there and farted for 2 hours because I think he still has this magnetic personality that you can feel from the stage no matter what he’s doing.
