Gonna write a longer review post but before that, what a great time to remember that the image flower Oda chose for Law is Queen of the Night. In Japanese the name is ꜈äø‹ē¾Žäŗŗ, literally reads "A beautiful lady under the moonlight."

There should be a Doom TV show and this is my idea for it.
Doom 1, Doom 2, and Doom 64 would be faithfully remade in a 3 season, fairly short MA 15+ series with a very heavy focus on well-choreographed action, detailing the Doomguyā€™s three act journey through the Phobos and Deimos UAC facilities and fighting through Hell in S1, his mission to save the Earth from Hell in S2, and his eventual acceptance of a life in Hell in S3.
The early portrayal of Doomguy would be based on the Doom comic, with the first episode of S1 leaning all the way into the over-the-top 90s action hero shenanigans that you might see Arnold Schwarzenegger playing a part in. Meanwhile, every other episode would progressively get more personal and increasingly horrific, culminating, of course, in the Doomguy kneeling over the head of his pet bunny amongst whatā€™s left of his home town.
More in S2 and the most in S3, Iā€™d want the show to focus on visual storytelling. The Doomguy refusing his helmet, speaking more, and being more careful and tactical with his fighting style would reflect him being closer to humanity than the demons, which only growl and scream and fight with brutal conviction.
The less the Doomguy talks, the more he wears his helmet, and the more brutal his tactics become, the more the Doomguy pulls away from his humanity and towards the demons, his lust for their destruction mirroring their own, culminating in S3ā€™s ending, where the Doomguy would refuse the portal out of hell, deciding that the demonic realm is the only place he belongs.
Either Alan Ritchson or John Cena would be the choices to play the Doomguy, Iā€™d pick John Cena due to his physical appearance and his role as the Peacemaker.

orange booths in a diner, orange stools along a counter behind, light bright behind it. the image is distorted by VCR static. white text reads:
[032] AN ACT OF KINDNESS. A CALLER SHARES A MEMORY. THE HOST FINDS IT.
listen to the season 2 finale here, or anywhere you find your podcasts. transcript under the cut:

Hello and welcome to Thin Places Radio. Iā€™m your host,
and it is the middle of the night. But donā€™t worry. Youā€™re not alone.
[Thin Places theme] [cutlery clinking, low diner sounds]
Iā€™m coming to you, I donā€™t know, from my studio. I donā€™t know how to feel. Iā€™m at a diner. I went back and back and back. I let the road take me here. My memory doesnā€™t go this far back, but - I think this is what Iā€™ve been looking for. I think itā€™s the last thing that I almost-remember. I wish I had something like my name, instead. But I guess thisā€™ll have to do.Ā
It looks really ordinary. ROADSIDE DINER, it says in neon, but both the Es are burned out. Itā€™s painted orange, mirrors lining the inside to make it look bigger than it really is. It looks warm inside. Booths in a U along the edges, a counter in that half-ring in the middle, by the kitchen. A thousand places like this in the continental United States. But nowhere exactly like it. Not really.Ā
So what is Thin Places Radio? Well, you can call in about anything strange that youā€™ve got going on in your life - feelings, omens, premonitions, hauntings.
Have you been chosen for something you never meant to do?
Have you given a gift to a stranger?Ā
Have you forgotten how youā€¦ came to this place?Ā
[sigh] When - When the veil between worlds is thin, we get closer than ever to the strange and the unexplained - but also to each other. Call in, get it off your chest. Lines are open.
[click] [voicemail:]
You can hear me now, canā€™t you? Oh, you can finally hear me! Good. Good. It takes time for the planes to line up. Sometimes they never do, so.Ā
Please donā€™t worry. I canā€™t give you your name. You donā€™t need it anymore. But I can give you a memory. I can give you the night we met.Ā
You came into the Roadside Diner, just off of I-70. You had that look on your face - that driving-all-night look. That running-away look. Not like you were being hunted. Like you didnā€™t even know what you were running away from.Ā
You sat in that booth by the back window, near the bathrooms - yes, yes, the one your eyes flicked over to just now. Remember? You ordered a coffee. I was at the counter, talking to the server, and I told her I didnā€™t have enough to pay for my meal. I said it quietly. There was no yelling. You just noticed. You were paying attention to every person in that diner. Even me. You said, Iā€™ve got it, donā€™t worry. [huffed laugh] An act of kindness for a stranger.Ā
I slid into your booth to thank you, and you said - and Iā€™m not going to get this all right, because memoryā€™s, yā€™know, tricky - you said, donā€™t mention it. You said, Iā€™m sure you would have done the same thing for me. So much trust. How could I not honor it?Ā
I asked you if you were alright, and you told me you werenā€™t sure. You got out of work that day and you got in your car and you just kept driving. You missed your exit. And you just kept driving, all the way into the night. Are you happy? I asked you. No, you told me.Ā
You didnā€™t know what was missing from your life, but you knew it was missing. What do you want? I asked you. I wanted to give it to you. And this - this I remember, because this was the important part. ā€œI donā€™t know,ā€ you said. ā€œIā€™m just so tired of being a person.ā€Ā
[radio static]Ā
I put my hands over yours, and I nodded. I knew how to fix it. I asked you if you wanted to be something else. I asked you if you wanted to stop worrying. I gave it to you for free. A deal is a deal. A gift is a gift.Ā
Please donā€™t worry. I donā€™t know why you keep worrying. It doesnā€™t matter what came before. I made it so you never had to worry again. Food, clothes, money. Where to sleep, how to live, how to keep your heart from breaking. The road provides. The road will always provide. I freed you from entropy. I freed you from death.Ā
[the radio shrieks and fuzzes]Ā
I thought youā€™d stop running away. I thought youā€™d be happy with the way I repaid your kindness. I took your kindness and your curiosity and your interest in every little person and I turned it into something better. You were a person. [The voice changes from the distortion of a phone voicemail to clear speech.] So what? [They are now beside the host.]Ā  I made you a legend.Ā
And I know itā€™s lonely, at first, to be like us. But youā€™re not the only one.Ā
Youā€™re not alone.Ā
[click]Ā
The host: Itā€™s you.
The entity: Yes.Ā

Modern DW: We're really just trying to push the bounds of the genre here, we're playing around with the core structure of Doctor Who in ways that haven't really been done before.
Big Finish in 2006: Okay the Doctor's not actually in this one. But don't worry, Paul McGann voices an eight-armed alien. Who has the Doctor's memories. Sort of. This whole thing is set in a highly hierarchical authoritarian society where people regularly have their minds erased and their memories grafted onto other people, and the Paul McGann alien has the Doctor's mind grafted on to him which makes him the Messiah of the civilian revolution and also he eats a live rat. And Paul McGann's Evil Authoritarian Voice is kinda hot but it's gonna give you mixed vibes because now you know he's an 8 armed alien. And also Paul McGann eats a live rat. Did I mention that earlier. I feel like I cannot stress enough how much Paul McGann eats a live rat.

Hii! <3 I've made this blog to post all my thoughts on AoT since it is my current, and first in 4 years, hyperfixation.
Right now I'm about to finish the story for the first time. Like, I'm about to start S4 E87 after posting this. So yeah, I'm pretty much a one-month-old fan, experiencing everything for the first time.
I'm looking for mutuals/blogs to follow,
so if you're interested in a new follower (and possible mutual) and you post aot stuff, all things veteran squad, eruri, meta analysis/commentary, translations, fanfiction, give this post a like and I'll check your blog. This is a secondary blog, so you'll get likes and follows from my main @kyoupann k'byeee. <3
